Dolce Garden by Dolce&Gabbana is a Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance for women. Dolce Garden was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is Violaine Collas. Top notes are Magnolia, Neroli and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Coconut, Frangipani and Ylang-Ylang; base notes are Vanilla Absolute, Almond Milk and Sandalwood.

Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Garden comes out at the beginning of 2018 and opens a new chapter in the story of Dolce, following the original from 2014, Dolce Floral Drops from 2015 and Dolce Rosa Excelsa from 2016. Dolce Garden is a floral-gourmand fragrance that is said to radiate the pleasure of fun experiences. It is described as a fragrance of free thoughts and desires for fun experiences, inspired by shades of the gardens of Sicily in bloom.

Dolce Garden opens with white flowers, fresh and fruity notes (mandarin, magnolia, neroli), evoking Mediterranean sun. The heart includes petals of frangipani,ylang-ylang and coconut, which are said to create an ultra-feminine and sunny aura. In the base, the perfume turns slightly gourmand with vanilla, almond milk and woods.

The bottle of Dolce Garden is recognizable for the original shape, thick glass, curved lines and a cap sculpted in the shape of a flower, now in pink color. The fragrance is available as a 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

very summery, opening with rich tropical florals and sweet, milky coconut. it very much smells like a perfumed sunscreen because of that lactonic almond milk and waxy coconut combination. as it develops, the vanilla comes out more, accompanied by a nuttiness and continual strong coconut aroma. orange and sandalwood are not detectable for me
definitely both beachy and gourmand. i see why someone could like this, but i'm not a fan of heavy florals nor of sweet gourmand stickiness so this is wildly outside of my preferences

Sparkle sprinkle

As a layman who knows hardly anything pertaining to specific scent note/combinations, I just buy whatever smells good to me and this in no way shape or form, in my humble opinion, even smells slightly “tropical, beachy or gourmand as some reviews I’ve read/watched have said.
This is a magnolia bomb from start to its quick finish. If you want to smell matronly for about 30 min then like you sprayed nothing at all then Garden is your girl.

VirgowithLeo

This smells familiar not sure which perfume
But I like it
But the drydown is so sweet it reminds me of a perfume I did not like

Or it could be that waxy coconut note

Which I dont like. I will need to try it more to see if it turns more waxy or if it stays sweet and pretty scent

On first sniff this was pretty

Kind of reminded me of windflowers creed but not exactly. Im gonna have to check that sample

Update : nope not windflowers. This one is sweeett.
I just hope its not BR540 drydown

So this is kind of like Kenzo flower but not powdery and not dusty

Okay so in dry down yeah very very similar to Kenzo flower

I do get that waxy coconut note in this

I think i like this more than Kenzo flower (no dusty ness here)

I dont know if I will purchase full bottle yet because of that coconut note that tends to turn egg scent on me

Jemmma

Just bought a bottle in 2024 as I wanted a beautiful coconut scent (and I live somewhere I cant sample fragrances so most of mine are blind buys), this seemed like a people pleaser of those that do and do not like coconut. Also I love a citrus Vanilla combo in the notes it makes me happy and feel like its an easy crowd pleasing scent profile. Its a soft gentle fragrance.
Its definitely got a nutty warmth to it paired with subtle florals and a delicate sweetness. I am a big vanilla lover and can never get enough - the vanilla in this isnt overtly detectable but im sure adds to the sweetness and warmth of the fragrance.
Projection isn't massive which is good because my partner isn't good with strong scents. It doesn't remind me of sunscreen or lotion/oil (Not like that Reef Brand from the 80's/90's AUS anyway, that stuff is/was Potent & gives me great memories too) the coconut isn't that prominent in my opinion not in an obvious way anyway and I would be happy if it was stronger but I think as a whole all the notes are balanced beautifully. This is gentle enough to sleep in in my opinion. This is not a beast by any means, the longevity isn't too bad but it definitely becomes a close skin scent within the first hour. I do get gentle whiffs of it through the working day at my desk which is all I really want anyway. I occasionally will layer this over a laconic vanilla base (mont blanc, signature) just to give it a boost. But its very moreish and an easy grab. I bought a 30ml blind (for $80AUD), should have shelled out for the 75ml I've had it almost a month and there is a BIG dent already. LOVE IT. will 100% repurchase at a reasonable price (so around $120AUD for 75ml, I would be happy with). This is beautiful.

Gorgeous, tropical, creamy coconut. It’s beachy and girly; smells a bit like sunscreen in the best way possible. The only thing that bothers me about this: Why is it called “Dolce Garden”? There is nothing in this that makes me think “Garden”, as it doesn’t smell very floral at all. I desperately need them to rebrand this as a tropical fragrance. This is the perfect sweet summer fragrance.

Aquapinkmoon

Coming back to speak on longevity
This is eternal. I sprayed this on my shirt to go to my boyfriends house around 7:30pm last night, I slept in my shirt and now at 10:00 i can still smell this. Rolling in the bed and walking around the house, it smells divine, I’m STILL getting gorgeous whiffs of creamy coconut and sexy sandalwood, mixed with smooth ylang-ylang and almond. That’s 14 hours of staying power, my boyfriend also goes feral for this scent, I’ve oddly seen MANY reviews saying this perfume is like sex in a bottle, another lady commented that her boyfriend said this should be called the “fck me perfume” and I completely agree lmao. It’s not musky or oudy and has no “dirty” notes but still somehow smells so sexy, it’s creamy and romantic. Honestly ladies just go buy it! I’ll be getting a backup bottle

AmieClay

I like regular Dolce and thought this might be similar but with a coconut twist.

The coconut is nice - can't complain there. But the sweetness is too overpowering for me (sickly sweet makes me as nauseous as powder stank) so I have to pass. My boyfriend said it smelled like suntanning lotion, which he has good summertime associations with. Definitely worth a smell if you like that idea :)

Venussweden

This is yummy, strong, girly girly feminine, romantic, lovely until the base where sandalwood is the star, sandalwood to me is a great supportive note in ”dark” seductive perfumes, like crystal noir and l’interdit rouge, it smells like pure sweaty s*x (plus condoms and latex toys) to me and I do not want that in my girly girly romantic dolce garden 😭🤣😱

Nina0nina

My dumbass for some reason added this to the cart when i was ordering by mistake and never noticed until the order arrived. Well what a lovely surprise 😭 i actually have never been that interested in this line except for the original dolce with green bottle. the perfume seller said it can’t be returned so i just opened it anyway,THANK GOD I LOVE IT!! it smells soo smooth and yummy I would say slightly gourmand but its floral scent. It’s such a nice combination of all the notes listed but i smell the almond milk and vanilla and coconut the most. also it can be versatile but more suited in spring and summer

MichelleSouza

I have tried a few coconut scents and this one is by far the best, such a discreet coconut in the background, if you are not familiar with this note you will probably not detect it, because it is well blended with the other notes, actually all the notes are very well blended, nothing stands out on its own. It's a honeyed elegant tropical/ floral perfume, with great longevity, not a huge projection but if you overspray it will last you quite some time. I am pleased with this blind buy.

honeybunny1977

Dolce Garden is a sweet fresh floral delight. I do get coconut but its not the heavy thick kind like many other tropical scents - more of a light watery coconut. The rest of the floral notes are unique (like magnolia) and create a beautiful composition. For a one ounce it was about $35, and the bottle is very adorable. I recommend it if you are looking for a tropical floral scent which uplifts and makes you smell great.

yukiukiu

I've had it and my favourite thing to do before a date night or if i want to smell particularly sweet is spray my clothes the night before so it has time to air. After the initial florally scent goes away it leaves a sweet coconutty scent that smells like a milky candy but one that's not overpowering. Though I will say if you're not a fan of floral scents this probably isn't for you. It's like a modern more clean twist on floral scents. It's youthful yet mature and not old lady. This is definitely my first-love perfume and it has a special place.

Hifza

Sweet and fruity floral! It's cozy, comfortable but slightly sweeter than my preference otherwise it's a floral and coconut heaven. I find it youthful and young, bright and rich. Could be perfect for a getaway!

PolynesianPrincess

I love this one -- tropical flowers and coconut done elegantly. I'm glad I bought the full bottle. Definitely a spring summer scent for me.

FeleciaB

Usually I dislike coconut but man this is good. And Usually my husband doesn't really care about perfume at all and especially doesn't like floral but when I came downstairs he said "you smell good!" Needless to say I may have to buy a full bottle. I don't necessarily smell coconut. It is summery but also warm? Maybe it's my love of vanilla, sandalwood and almond? Either way I really enjoy this and usually I'm a straight gournand addict!

Lucky7z

One of my favorites!!!
All the notes blend beautifully together to create a wonder summery beachy scent.
It’s pretty balanced too in my opinion,it doesn’t scream coconut overload,it’s more of a creamy coconut with hints of floral, vanilla, sandalwood…

Longevity and sullage are moderate but this is one that if i overspray can turn headache inducing immediately. Otherwise I absolutely love this perfume and wear it year round.

AnniePruana

Docle Garden is a favorite, I get coconut but not in a sunscreen way in a fine dessert that doesn't oversweeten but lets the beauty of the coconut satisfy. The almond milk base but of course the finest mixers know how to compliment the star subtly. This is a soothing, captivating scent for a day you want to be comforted in lusciousness.

hnk11

This doesn’t smell like a garden by any means but it is so so good. It’s sweet and coconutty and creamy and musky. Sweet and feminine and FUN. If it smells like sunscreen, it’s an expensive sunscreen that you would wear on white beaches with a drink in your hand.

TabledThoughts

Such a flippant little number in a pretty bottle.
All coconutty and frangiapani and almond milky.
A tease of magnolia peaks out in the beginning and after a few hours, too.
Unexpected with a name like "Garden".
This is a warmish gourmand~esque perfume.
Lasts all day on skin.

ayajolie

i got this perfume when i was in high school and didn't have the most refined taste (i still don't, but imagine how juvenile it was 6 years ago). i remember being super excited because this was my second D&G perfume, and D&G The Only One was my signature scent at the time. imagine my shock putting it on and immediately thinking SUNSCREEN! SUNSCREEN! SUNSCREEN!
it has a beautiful coconut scent that is long-lasting, and there are definitely floral undertones. but keep in mind you will smell like the beach in miami. you know what, scratch that--fort lauderdale.
scents rarely last a long time on me, so i have to give Dolce Garden her flowers for leaving such a good trail. people definitely began to recognize my "scent" after wearing this for some time. i think my biggest gripe is that such a designer perfume should not be so reminiscent of pure sunscreen without anything else :/

MelissaEstelle

Smells so goooood!
smells like a Garden
in Paradise to me 🌴🥥
Only wishes it last longer on me,
but this scent tho so divine!
Dolce Garden Intense? Yes please!!

Sometimes I layer
Garden with Dolce
Gabbana's - Light Blue
(Light Blue first).. 😍 So good.

03/07/24 Update: 2nd bottle 🫧

depanneur4

I absolutely love it, it's not the most expensive-smelling perfume but I always get a ton of compliments when I wear it. It doesn't have a ton of sillage though

hellside

This smell makes me smile and giggle. A very sweet and cute start, like a first kiss with your crush. Afterwards it's blending with the scin, making you feel good. I cannot identify any of the notes - a very smooth combination between fruits and flowers, that you will make you fall in love with no matter what you like. Smile in a bottle.

BikiniSoTeeny

Soo smooth and creamy, in summer I get a lot more mandarin and neroli; and in cold weather it’s almond and frangipani beachy sweet cream. Easy to wear

mikariendeau

Is no one gonna talk about how this smells exactly like an Amaretto sour ?

Gaza24

Smells just like Libre without the lavender. Creamy nutty fruity goodness. I’m in love!

sulleng1rl

i have a sample of this from idk where! i really don't like the floral top note at all. i love how it smells after about an hour though. im a noob and need to go smell some flowers to educate myself properly but i think its magnolia that im not a fan of.

Orcadorka

After outgrowing la vie est belle, I hunted for a long time and was really hoping that this would be my new signiature scent. When I smelled it instantly felt that this was me in a bottle. It's pretty, sweet, feminine, fun and unique. It gives me the vibes of someone who lives by the water and goes for long walks on the beach trails and sips on coconut water watching the sunset go down. The bottle in the store lasted on my skin the whole day and I knew I wanted a bottle of my own. I can smell the coconut and this very enticing creamy smell (must be a mix of the frangipani, vanilla, and almond) and only a bit of floral. However once I got a bottle of my own, it lasted not even an hour on my skin before it vanished! Gutted. I used up the whole bottle, but I'm not sure I'll ever get another. My bottle also smelled more girly and juvenile rather than the one in the store and way too milky with not enough of the tropical-floral quality to it. Had to go searching for another perfume and found one but this definitely served as the inspiration.

Texasperumefan

Smells like gardenia, coconut, & sun screen. But it’s also kind of sweet. Kind of reminds me of Someday by Justin Bieber, but if that perfume was fancy/ expensive. I think it’s because this perfume is also sweet. Floral + sweet with a milky creamy base. I really like it, I don’t know why it took so long for me to try it. Very… pleasant. Like a light floral fragrance, smells youthful. This is floral sweet but NOT in a Flowerbomb / Miss Dior way. This is summer fresh/ not in your face.

If you like this you might also enjoy signorina ribelle.

Aquapinkmoon

This has a very similar creaminess to many of the Amouage fragrances, the first thing I thought of when sampling this perfume was Amouage. I think it’s the mix of frangipani, coconut and nutty notes that make this super smooth. Someone else mentioned that this has a niche vibe and I completely agree.

TheFl0rist

This has grown on me ! I got my first bottle 3 years back! I couldn't appreciate it enough. It smelled like rotten pineapple juice on me. I had to declutter the bottle. Few months back the smell was haunting me. I couldn't resist neither found why I was thinking of it soo much! purchased another bottle!

The first spritz on wrist and I was lost into beautiful things! I felt happy, I was giggling!

I stopped investigating why I loved it so much! I am enjoying it almost every other day. Such a delightful experience!

The scent profile is coconut vanilla and frangipani for rest of the world! Hence the name garden feels unappreciated.

In south Asia there's a variant of flower known by many names! In wikipedia it's listed as Spanish Cherry, Medlar, and Bullet Wood! Dolce Garden makes me feel I am sitting under a hundred years old tree of that flower, it has shed flowers around me, millions of it looking like a white sheet on green grass. I put on a creamy vanilla scented body lotion , sipping on Lukewarm herbal tea, and Bokul(Bullet Wood ) drowning me in dense aroma! I found my garden feel in D & G Garden!!

Seranity

This has grown on me from a like to a love. I'm not partial to a coconut note, it's actually repelling most of the time, but this just has something strangely addictive about it. It lasts forever on my skin and clothes and I just keep getting wafts of smooth creamy coconut and yellow flowers. Its taken me completely by surprise. It's such a quick easy reach fragrance and so feminine. This is my favourite Dolce & Gabbana perfume ever. 😍

gourmandlover123

on sampling i liked it. it was a sweet floral fragrance. however i feel like if it macerated to the rich ambery color it would have a lot more vanilla coconut predominance. please correct me if that is untrue for you as it is just an assumption.

Pinspatternsandpolish

This is such an easy reach in my collection. It's a beautiful creamy white floral with coconut milk and a vanilla almost powdery base. I get the almond in the base as well as the vanilla and coconut. But if you wear it in the eight season you also get the tropical almost fruity top notes. I was really surprised to smell those peak through this morning as it's been months since I've worn this fragrance. It's also pretty strong and has decent longevity on my skin. I like to later with the BR540 lotion. I think that combo elevates the scent.

Highly recommend this one and can be found for a good price at discount pharmacies.

J'aimeunefragrance

This is coconut oil champi (head massage) in the best way possible. All the Indians here might know what I am talking about.

Turkish_delight

Tropical fruity floral. Bright and fresh at the opening. Quite crowd pleasing and fun. Smells very similar to the Trader Joe’s mango body lotion that used to be around in 2015/16 :)

Bhavnalovesscents

Lovely Tropical Scent … the name does not go with the fragrance at all. Its heavy on the coconut and neroli. Very creamy and cozy scent. This scent is perfect for an island getaway 🏝️🌤️

Leather&pearls

A sweet coconut cream fragrance with tropical florals. Smells the way a pink sunset looks with fluffy vanilla clouds. In the heat if you spray too much it can feel a bit stuffy. In the months when winter transitions into spring this is perfect.

YourFragranceFriend

In the opening, I get a slight citrus burst. It quickly fades away and leaves a coconut floral scent. I’ve always described this as smelling like dried, sweetened chunks of coconut meat. This is met with some floral backing. As it wears, it does begin to turn into syrupy and delicious coconut and vanilla as the base notes intensify. It lasts well and I’ll find myself getting wafts of it as I move throughout the day. Whenever I wear this, I just want to keep smelling myself!

One point I’d add is that the florals in this are creamy florals. Don’t be turned off by them if you prefer gourmands; this fragrance is one I’d easily put in the gourmand category, especially as it wears.

When I’m done with my 5ml decant, I plan on purchasing a full bottle. It’s the best coconut fragrance I’ve tried!

Maya lilac

Hands down the best summertime Dolce Gabbana scent created! I mean in the Dolce Collection and also in the regular priced line!

I am aware that Light Blue or LB Intense takes all the spotlight as the best summer/holiday scent from this house but it doesn’t even hold the candle to this! I own both of them and they go in different directions, but this is my favourite!

This is the best tropical floral designer fragrance if we consider scent, price and performance. Dolce Garden ticks all the boxes for me.

It’s a gorgeous, luxurious, thick, warm, creamy, frangipani, ylang ylang, magnolia, coconuty concoction with a great performance and for an affordable price! The almonds and the sandalwood add a creamy feel and more depth!

I can not recommend this enough for anyone who loves this scent profile!

chemiconic

Yes yes YES!
I got this perfume off someone for 20€ thinking I didn’t want to spend too much on a blind buy. Also because “garden” was very misleading and I thought it might be more of a floral scent but I was WRONG. This is a sweet, tropical, coconutty scent just like I love them. It’s creamy, it’s sexy, it’s sunny (?), you get the sweetness of the coconut and the almond milk combined with the not too present yellow florals. Honestly I think that it’s a perfume that’s easy to love but it’s done well!!

samimahu

I love this perfume. Pure coconuty goodness. Why the heck did they name it garden though? Its name is misleading as heck

Kuty22

Finally gone
Left my collection. Objectively a good scent, subjectively a hot mess.
I cannot stand the coconut scent on this perfume. To my nose it smells like a sexy girl but I don't like it on me, it's nice and sweet and lasts forever

arizonaruby

Delicious summery floral-coconut scent. The coconut is very prominent: it’s a creamy, slightly nutty coconut (blended nicely with the almond milk), rather than, say, a cleaner coconut water scent. The tropical flowers are also strong - I can smell both the frangipani and ylang ylang. These give it some femininity and stop it going into full blown sunscreen territory. Overall a great summer scent if you’re a fan of coconut perfumes. The longevity is also surprisingly good.

Charmedbymeghan

I didn't expect much from this Dolce & Gabbana fragrance, especially with the cheap looking (but cute) flower lid. I heard some Youtubers hyping it and just thought it may be another one of those overhyped perfumes. But no - it really is that good. It is one of the best coconut fragrances I've ever smelled and it is my favorite tropical coconut fragrance. I found a full-size bottle for $45 at a discounter, which is a steal. I will definitely repurchase when running low.

It is a sweet tropical coconut fragrance that starts out a little on the syrupy side, but the freshness from the florals also comes through to keep it from being cloying. The more it wears, the fresher it gets. But I wouldn't call it a freshie. It's got too much body and substance. The white & yellow florals are done really well. Even though the base notes are present, it isn't a gourmand - and I wouldn't call it a floral-gourmand exactly either. It's just really done well. Mass appealing but in the best way. One of the best blind buys I've made. Projects well but not going to choke people out. Lasts a decent amount of time too, maybe 5-8 hours.

I'm usually not into florals so much, and yellow florals can be tough for me. Glad I took a chance. It's fantastic. 10/10 perfume. I wouldn't change a thing about it.

v0n

If you like a fun, youthful, girly, syrupy milky coconut vanillas then this is for you! Longevity is about 5 hours and can be worn all year round. Smells good but it's just not for my personal taste, I'd say give it a shot and see how it works for ya!

Disturbedalchemy26

Oh, don't hate me for saying this. To my nose, this smells like rotten coconut milk. I tried it on paper, on my skin and on another's arm as well. ALL turned out disgusting to me. Legit smells like cold cream + rotten coconut milk. I love D&G's the one intense so much and was expecting that kind of coconut-ty smell. But, man! was I in for a nasty surprise. Returned the bottle ASAP.

vibrant.girl

Coconut meat, lei of yellow frangipani, zest of an orange. This is the only frag I've found that actually captures the thick/creamy and still fresh scent of my time in Hawai'i, camping under plumeria and wearing them in my hair.
This can be overwhelming if you overspray, but really you don't need too. The longevity was excellent for me, but I could see wanting to respray after work if you applied at 7am. I'm obsessed and quickly ran through my sample and travel bottle... gotta get a big bottle now!

Charli3

I am going to be the sole negative review to my dismay :( it smells like a coconut scented men’s shaving cream. You know that canned white goo that comes out in dollops? Not the fancy cremo stuff. It’s that with coconut.

Lykopa

This is the scent that turned me on to the Dolce line. It’s, to me, the perfect coconut! Smooth, beachy, and not at all like sunscreen! More like a pina colada! The florals are also really nice.

shannonquillz

If you like creamy coconut, I really think you will like this. It is STRONG and if I spray too much or too close to my face, it can give me a headache. But the scent is beautiful. I feel it’s lactonic enough to not give big sunscreen vibes despite the heavy coconut. It’s sweet enough that there’s a sexiness to it and complex enough to not smell juvenile.

The first time I wore this my husband walked up and kissed me within a minute of me spraying and he said “I HATE that perfume” lol

Then a few days later I met him out for lunch after I had been wearing it a couple hours already and he couldn’t shut up about how sexy I smelled. He said I smelled like “that girl”.

In summary, the top notes are floral and it’s very strong on initial spray, but the dry down is creamy coconut delicious. Don’t overspray.

Nena's Nana

I agree with every word Allthingssparkle wrote because I had/have all said fragrances. My favorite coconut fragrances hands down is Blanche Bete and Garden.

Both BB & Garden pulls a creamy coconut scent. I absolutely love it! Last year I got a pre owned 3/4 full bottle from Mercari for only $30. & it was the best money spent! From last summer to this summer, I have maybe 1/4 left.

The sillage is great but I also layer/wear it with a perfume oil (in a clean 60ml travel size flip top container, I added a full 10ml travel size of Nest Balinese Coconut & filled the rest with Neutrogena Fragrance Free Body oil. Actually, I do this with all my perfume oils.) I literally oil my full body and then I spray Garden on my body as well as my clothes. This is the only way I get a full 5 hours (that I can still smell) but almost 7 hours where I’m still getting compliments.

So yeah, even though the performance isn’t that great, Garden (name doesn’t match the scent) smells absolutely amazing and I will absolutely buy another FB.

Allthingssparkle

I've been in search of the perfect (for me) sweet, lactonic coconut fragrance that has great projection AND won't break the bank.

I have samples of:
Soleil Blanc by Tom Ford
Crystal Noir by Versace
Blanche Bete by Liquides de Imaginares
Coco Vanille by Mancera
Alien Goddess Intense
Garden by Dolce & Gabbana

In my opinion, I get the most coconut in Garden, Crystal Noir and Blanche Bete. I find the cardamom and pepper notes in SB distracting from the coconut. CV is an aquatic coconut, as is Alien Goddess. AG Intense is, to me, more floral than coconut.

Garden really is beautiful! My first spray did smell more floral. But the next round, I truly got the coconut! Oh, my goodness....the scent is a LOVE!

But. Like every. single. Dolce & Gabbana. fragrance. I. own.....the longevity is poor. It drives me NUTS because they really make some AMAZING fragrances! I wore this to bed last night with coconut body oil as a base, and I had nothing -- zip, zero -- by the time I woke up. DG fragrances don't leave any shine on my skin, which makes me think there's very little oil in it (if any at all) and may account for lack of projection and longevity.

D&G has come out with Light Blue Intense, so I'm hoping that's an indication that they're listening to their customers and reformulating some of their fragrances to an Intense level.

If I had to choose the bang for my buck, I would choose Blanche Bete or Crystal Noir. I was REALLY hoping Garden would pull through in the longevity department! But while I can smell it an hour later if I'm LOOKING for it -- in contrast, when I walked out of my office at 5 pm the day I wore Blanche, I was still smelling it. I enjoyed it for a FULL day! THAT's what I want in a fragrance!!! Sniffs of happiness throughout the day. I want my fragrances to remind me of their presence all day long.

But to be honest.... I may still get a full bottle of Garden, just because it's soooooo good -- for real, THAT good -- even though the longevity is lacking. I'd LOVE to hear tips or success stories on how anyone else gets this to last longer, though!

Norie

It is rare for me to find a fragrance that hits almost all the main accords (according to Fragrantica). This one does! It's floral, coconut, vanilla, sweet, tropical, almond, lactonic, fruity, and nutty - though the citrus note is not one I picked up on. It's gorgeous but VERY STRONG. As in spray below the waist strong and 1-2 sprays will do. I've bought and tried close to 100 samples since starting my journey at the beginning of the year. It's rare for me to want to full-size anything - but this one? I need it in my collection.

For me, it's such a strong and sweet floral (hence the name Dolce Garden) but you do pick up on the coconut strongly as well as the vanilla. There is a nutty lactonic-ness to it from the almond milk that, in the beginning, adds a strangeness I'm not fond of. However, that dissipates and you're left in a romantic, bright garden - but due to the coconut, vanilla, and sandalwood, it's easy to enjoy throughout Spring-Summer. The sandalwood helps balance it out and adds depth.

It is POWERHOUSE that gave me a bit of a headache initially. Lesson learned. It's not meant to be worn inside the house. It's too strong for that. I showered because I was a bit done with the scent 12 hours later, but later at night (2am), I could smell the beautiful sweet floral. It had sweetened over time. Completely surprised it lasted that long on me. I am IN LOVE with this fragrance and absolutely recommend it.

CowLover99

It smells sweet, a bit floral and to me the dry down smells like delicious brown sugar and coconut. I like this perfume.

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WITH AN EXCELLENT SILLAGE AND LONGEVITY + 10 HRS IN HOT WEATHER 🔥 💯

As someone with a pretty large perfume collection, not to sound snobby, but I don't often buy popular designer frags. However, D&G is my FAVORITE designer house, and it's HOT here in Texas, so I bought and sprayed. So yeah, it smells like sunscreen--what's wrong with that? It's a bit synthetic--but not any more synthetic than Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc, a mainstay for me during the summer months. Honestly, this is very pleasing--it's not a "great" frag, but it doesn't have to be. It's a pleasing, light, airy, sweetly-floral sunscreen scent, and dang it, I just want to smell good. BTW--random plug for beachy frags--if you like this one, light, airy and sweetly femme, you might also enjoy the fruity floral sister frag, D&G's Light Blue Italian Love, which is juicier and has more apple, but you'll swear there's coconut, too.

Homage

Very sweet and intense almond bakery scent with beachy sunscreen florals. Powdery vanilla, coconut and orange creamsicle with a plasticy frangipani and ylang ylang. Heavy almond in the first 30 minutes gives me a headache. But after that it softens and the lovely beachy florals come out.

leximayxo

I don't get a gardeny smell at all, I just get a kind of screechy coconut. I originally got a sample which smelled really nice and creamy like coconut ice cream. But my full bottle I bought just smells different and too cloying, like sunscreen but in a bad way.

cellarspider

Starts with white floral with moderate coconut. Initially smells natural and beautiful, like you're walking through a garden in Spring. Tropical fruits and flowers come out later. Over time it does get a little too sweet if you get too close, but I tend to be sensitive to that. Not as creamy as I'd have hoped. Overall, very pretty scent.

melleners

Coconut flowers. This is a delicious scent and would be great for a summer vacation.

clarainesco

I don't understand, this perfume does not smell at all like coconut, tropical, sunscreen or beachy vibe it's just smell like an old rich grannie, just flowrers a lot of powdery flowers. It'is absolutely awfull too me. Do not blind buy it if you like coconut or beachy scent. I had to wash it off my arm I'm so disappointed I don't understand all that reviews.

Linvalcasmo

This is the perfume that made fall in love with perfumes.
This is BEAUTIFUL. Name is misleading. Nothing floral about it to me. Dolce Garden is a sweet, creamy, fluffy, nutty vanilla coconut/almond milk scent. This is girly, pretty, and delicious.

PaulaWade

One of my favorites. To me it smells almost identical to Miss Dior EDP 2021. Warm, fluffy, sweet. Layered with Killian's Love Don't Be Shy (or dupe)...sooo good. What I do is take oil perfumers dupe of Love Don't Be shy and mixture oil w an unsented lotion and smear it all over and then spray Dolce Garden and oooh laa laaa... the smell is divine.. like a snack!!!

missdove

My boyfriend said this perfume should be called “F*ck Me.” He loves it.

Smells like delicious creamy coconut.

Battito d'Ali

It's such a creamy, delicious, happy and warm fragrance! I wear this when I want to smell like a tropical dessert. I couldn't tell you it smelled like coconut, I usually hate coconut-scented things. However, I can tell you that I own 4 bottles of Dolce Garden. When I wear this, I smell like I'm basking in creamy, milky sunshine under a clear blue sky, laying on the beach with my tanned glowing skin.

Creamy_ambrette

I bought this because I expected a sweet, lactonic, nutty, coconut floral vibe. What I smell is an unrelenting, sweet, lactonic frangipani- that’s it’s. No coconut, no almond just heavy milky frangipani! So if you love frangipani this is definitely for you. It’s very well balanced and long lasting on my skin. So anyone being lead into buying this because they see that first accord as coconut my be disappointed.

disneyninja01

Dolce Garden is not truly a "garden" fragrance. It is a tropical, buttery coconut fragrance that is a bit reminiscent of sunscreen. This was my introduction to the sunscreeny, tropical type fragrances and I really love this scent profile. This is a very strong floral coconut with a generous dose of creaminess. It has excellent projection and longevity and I see this as being a very versatile fragrance that is great for day and night depending on time of year and occasion. I cannot recommend it enough for people who are interested in trying a full-bodied, creamy, buttery, yet fresh coconut.

Siskachicka

summer in bali in the bottle , really love it!

Natalieex

Waxy coconut combined with sweet tropical florals. I love it! Now it is a bit on the synthetic side but overall it’s a lovely summer casual day time scent. I plan to repurchase this when I run out, it’s such a staple in my collection. 💗

galaxias

So warm and sweet. I normally don't go for very sweet fragrances, but something about this one doesn't put me off. I think it's the almond and coconut. I like to spray it sparingly as I find it's pretty strong.

Morgan45

This is a very pretty scent EXCEPT for that odd, tarry, burnt tires, mothbally note that other people have mentioned. I'm getting that, too. I think it might be the ylang-ylang? It's only when I get my nose right up to my skin, but it doesn't seem to go away. It's a bummer because it's otherwise beautiful.

Edit: after about an hour or so the offending note does dissipate and the rest of the beautiful scent remains. Is it worth it?....I can't decide.....going to test a few more times....

Second Edit: After a few more tries I am addicted and bought a full bottle. I somehow don't get the weird opening anymore and the fragrance is among my favorites.

smithpaulina

This scent is a strange experience. On paper, it is everything I love!!! But in reality, there is a strange note to it that I can't put my finger on - and sadly, it ruins the whole scent for me. To be fair, when I catch the scent on the air, I really like it. But when I put my arm up to my nose and smell the spot where I sprayed it, that's where I catch the weird note, and it's a very off-putting note. I've seen other reviewers say essentially the same thing. If Dolce & Gabbana could pinpoint that note and remove it, this would be an amazing fragrance!!

JoyousOne

This is a soft creamy with a dash of organic sweetness scent. Its not bombastic. Its an intimate scent. It smells like coconut milk without added sweetners, preservatives, and other gunk. Its like the raw and organic room temperature kind. If someone wanted a gift for a teen, this is soft enough for them. Im close to 50 and I love it on me too though. Its subtle, crowd pleasing, and an innocent type of purity pretty.

0h3ricaa

Sweet, fresh, and floral! The coconut sits at the base but mixes very well with the magnolia, neroli, and ylang-ylang! I get the almond milk and some vanilla. Not going to lie, when I first got this perfume it was okay for me. I never really got to wear or like it till the summer season came and now?? I’m in love!!

The projection of this fragrance is amazing! I wore it to work and 3 hours later I walked into the same bathroom and stall I went into when I first got to work and all I could smell was my perfume! It was so nice and I’ve gotten compliments (^ヮ^)/ ✨

I walk around leaving a nice trail 4-5 hours later with a great scent bubble. Definitely worth the purchase, if you’re looking for a very sweet summery coconut, this may not be what you’re looking for. It’s more of a coconut milk/water sweet with fresh florals and milky hints from the almond and vanilla. I do not get boozy from this whatsoever, but this fragrance is THICK and can pack a punch.

This is the PERFECT spring scent. A great summer scent but may have to be sprayed light handed because this CAN turn cloying in super hot weather. Nice for outside outing, on a yacht, the beach, diner, garden date, or park. This fragrance exceeded my expectations!

(Edit: I do not get coconut sunscreen at all, idk how people are sniffing that?! I have other coconut fragrances like Hypnotic Poison that DO have the sun tan lotion smell.)

suzanne_ronald

TROPICAL & MILKY Coconut-Frangipani & Brown-Sugar VANILLA. Opens with a floral burst of magnolia & frangipani with watery, citrus, floral, tropical, milky, sweet & clean touches, that sheds its clean touches from neroli and deepens into a tropical heart of coconut-frangipani supported by ylang, all resting on a milky almond-vanilla & creamy sandalwood base. Overall I get a sweet & milky coconut frangipani scent, supported by a soft-spicy vanilla. Has reminders for me of Olympea Solar, The Only One Intense D&G and Dior Addict EDP. Although it has a sweet tropical profile, it's warm enough in the drydown, with above average performance, for a year-round wearing experience. This was love a first scent for me. Seekers and collectors of lactonic scents won't be disappointed.

Contrast to Olympea Solar Paco Rabanne:
These are different, but they're both signed by Violaine Collas, and there are some similarities, especially in the openings, although I had hoped they would be a little more similar. Both have a sweet, tropical opening, but Olympea Solar dries down similar to Alien Goddess & Hypnotic Poison Dior, while Dolce Garden dries down similar to Dior Addict EDP. Both are sweet, but OS is sweeter, while DG has a more forward milky quality.

Contrast to The Only One Intense Dolce&Gabbana:
These are different, but both are signed by perfumer Violaine Collas, and there are some similarities. TOOI is more about orange-blossom, and has more similarities to Rouge Malachite Giorgio Armani, but in its heart with coconut you catch a glimpse of Dolce Garden. Both have above average performance.

Contrast to Dior Addict EDP 2014:
These are very different, however there are some similarities, and my first impression of Dolce Garden was that the drydown was like Dior Addict EDP. The vanilla is done is a similar way, however DG maintains its milky tropical accord over the softly-spicy brown-sugar-like vanilla, while DA has more green citrus in the opening and doesn't have the milky & tropical qualities. Both have above average performance.

Overall: Gorgeous scent profile, and well above average performance, this is the perfect scent to wear for a tropical yet cozy vibe. It's a longtime love for me. Enjoy!

Sassy1

So many good reviews and "try this" articles I had to buy a few samples.

There's something sharp and off putting about the top. I love neroli so that's not it...The barely there coconut is wan and watery. The notes just don't blend well on me. I get an overall boozy bourbon vanilla which I'm not fond of.

The 1st word that came to mind for me was "uneventful".

Maybe it needs more heat to awaken it's good side.

Jade-Ange D

SO SWEET AND PERFECT!!!

Allthough the bottle design seems to look more floral fresh and made for spring, the scent is a tropical creamy coconut and ylang-ylang fantasy.
It really makes me think of Hawaii, Honolulu to be exact. It was made for summer, it is feminine, creamy, dreamy, yet somehow fresh too.
And for a coconut lover like me, this is a perfect EDP that also projects and lasts forever. I AM IN LOVE!!
Definitely a beach fragrance, something tropical that makes everyone's mouths watering instantly.
You get the most creamy and yummy Coconut, Ylang-Ylang, followed by the Frangipani, and yummy, gourmand and creamy Vanilla Absolute, Almond Milk, and Mandarin Orange. Light fresh touch as well with the Neroli and Magnolia, then a subtle depth and richness with the Sandalwood.

100% Coconut girl Y2K aesthetic I love it. 10/10

Shahrzaad

Ordered this baby today and cannot wait to receive it! Dolce Garden has been on my wishlist for over 6 months based on a decant I had, but I kept putting it off because those around me kept telling me it’s nothing special. I don’t care anymore and want to have this super comforting scent in my collection! Yay!

P.s. I cannot believe this is so potent. I wore this to bed 10 hours ago and just now woke up in a sweet cloud of Ylang Ylang, frangipani and coconut. Life is beautiful!

gonegirl

linear, thick, CLOYING coconut. and nothing else.

sugarcoatedreams

Pretty fluffy coconut 🥥 love at first sniff! I wish the longevity and sillage were better….

Comicalcupcake

A disappointing cloud of fluff. I love every single note listed so this should be a love for me. The only reason I'll wear this sample again is to make sure my nose wasn't having an off day. Because today this scent is indistinguishable from every other mass produced bathroom spray out there.

nolongerbaby

This is the creamiest vanilla almond coconut I’ve tried. So yummy to me. I definitely do get a few whiffs of tropical flowers, but coconut is the star player here. This is a HEAVY coconut though, giving the impression of drinking a thick vanilla milkshake. Not a summer coconut at all, and I have to be careful in spring as the weather warms. This is nice for a breezy but sunny day, and a very cozy one for winter, but wearing this in the summer is too thick and cloying. This coconut has nothing to do with sunscreen, this is a gourmand coconut so honestly I’m a little perplexed at sunscreen comparisons. Lasting power is okay, for something so full of body it really only lasts 4 or 5 hours on me after 2 sprays.

Maryvic

I wanted to love this because of the frangipani note. However, there is something in this that is offputting and throwing the blend out of whack, almost like a hot plastic scent, which comes out strong. Perhaps it is the sample that I have, but I see that other reviews feel the same way, so this perfume may really depend greatly on body chemistry. If that strange smell was gone, I most likely would have enjoyed this very much because of the floral mix.

Elenar10

Sweet coconut scent. Pretty and tropical, just too cloying for me.

poisonwasthecure

Ok so this is good, but I wanted a coconut and almond perfume, and this is not it. This is a very very tart citrus and powdery perfume, with a slight touch of almond (a powdery one, that is) and somehow I'm also getting fresh, sour, raspberries. Idk, maybe my nose is just broken 🤪

Clairexoxo

Sadly I don’t get what others get from this. I strongly dislike this fragrance. Yeah I smell sunscreen coconut and creamy yellow florals but I think the ylang ylang turns me off and makes it kinda stinky...

BeautyNerd88

Dolce Garden is a thick, creamy coconut vanilla milkshake on a tropical island surrounded by flowers.

It is powerful and very sweet with strong projection and performance. I find it to be too sweet for hot summer days as it can tip over into heavy and cloying pretty quickly, but I love it in the spring and fall when it is a little cooler to temper the sweetness.

Overall it is a fun, easy, and likeable reach that performs very well for a designer EDP. In my opinion, Garden is the best of the Dolce range.

DolceValkyrie

This one is a true love for me. The name is deceptively nondescript - “garden” - but it’s anything but the basic floral this name would suggest. The coconut note in this perfume is the star of the show but it’s not your basic synthetic or overly sweet coconut. It almost feels a little sea breeze salted with its subdued and nutty sweetness, and it blends demurely and perfectly with the prettiest tropical flowers for the creamiest, dreamiest island girl experience. This is what you dreamed the tropics would smell like as a child. This smells like the tropical islands illustrated in childhood books and cartoons. It’s a dreamy pink sunset fantasy, not juvenile at all - except for maybe that little black bow ;)

larabmelo

Good, reminds me of Alien Goddess

Hannehoney

It smells good, but I think its missing some sharp or freshness..looking at the notes, it only has mandarin in the topnotes, but I cant smell that...its too dense and thick. Becomes cloying after a while and it ended up giving me a headache :(

Shanipoo

This is like walking through a floral garden in the tropics and I love every second of it. From beginning to dry down and in between! Such a beautifully blended floral with peeps of gourmand notes through. Soooo good!

greenbluegray

I am obsessed with how perfumers blend coconut, one of my favorite notes, and had to try this. I agree that the pink bottle and juice do not fit the scent. Should have been amber colored. My first spritz has me wishing for more coconut, and I would describe this as a spicy floral gourmand. There is also a clean soapy note right out of the gate which I have also smelled in Burberry Body, not sure what it is. I almost blind bought a bottle and am glad I did not so far because I think the frangipani is too prominent for me, but let's see after I take it for a spin tomorrow at work.

subtlyyours

Just sprayed my sample for the first time and upon first whiff it is identical to OGX Coconut Miracle Oil penetrating hair oil. Haven’t tested on skin and it’s only been a few minutes, but just had to record my first reaction because facts. I’m surprised this doesn’t have tiare flower included in the notes, nonetheless definitely a crowd pleaser and probably best in warmer weather.
Update: after trying this out a few times i gotta give it a pass for me. It's not bad by any means and I certainly wouldn't mind smelling it on someone else, but it just doesn't suit me. It's just a tad too coconutty sweet and the floral notes feel as though they're just awkwardly sitting on top. Also can't get passed the similarity to OGX coconut hair oil, which i actually enjoy the smell of but only in a small dose... in my hair.

stonestardust

I got a sample of this and I wore it once to work and was unimpressed. Even trying it a second time recently I’m still a little underwhelmed. It’s a pretty, creamy floral with the barest hint of coconut to brighten it up. Quite inoffensive, so if you’re looking for a floral that won’t rock the boat, this is the one.

aerinx

Absolutely gorgeous! Smells like an expensive sunscreen, in a good way 👌
Lots of coconut and frangipani, very sweet, creamy and milky, I LOVE it! 🥥🥛🏖️💛🤎🤍

Joamy

Creamy coconut 🥥 and white floral. I absolutely adore this perfume but I love white florals and coconut. If you do too, safe blind buy. It is very strong on the coconut supported by floral. Just in case you were mistaken that it was 1:1, not the case. It's not a juicy real coconut scent, it is creamy sunscreen lotion coconut. 😋 yum! Ps. Strong projection and long lasting.

LadyMuck

Wow! What a surprise this one is. The look of the fragrance and the colour of it not to mention the fact it's called garden I expected it to be a weak floral, pretty and dainty in composition. NO! I was shocked because as soon as it hit my skin and within 10 minutes it smelt strong, powdery, coconut, almond and lovely. A very close cousin to Dior Hypnotic Poison but not deep and punchy. D&G wrongly packaged and marketed this one but happy to have found it even by accident.

Nataliemarie

I've had this for well over a year & everytime I try to use it, I just do not like it. Anything that falls into this category, or too long lasting, I will not spray on my clothes. Only wrists so I can wash it off if I can't take it anymore. Yesterday, 2 sprays on the wrist & I powered through it. I still do not like it. I have not read all of the reviews, just a few, but I SWEAR the drydown on me is BR540 100%. I HATE that perfume. As most of us know, when you do not like a note, or a perfume, your nose is very sensitive to that. That's all I get. I wanted to love this sooooo bad. I have almost a full bottle if anyone wants to send an offer. Also, you can see the actual bottle I have on my latest video, it's on my perfume tray this week. Natalie N on YT. (Blonde one) There's going to be a lot of declutters for sale in the coming months.

MomBomb

Nice. Unexpected and different. Love.

osy2017

This is a hidden gem. Coconut vanilla cream that is very long lasting and gets better and better as day progress. Gives me a tropical vibe, that I wear it now in the middle of the winter and is so uplifting. This one got me interested in trying more from this line, but I have a feeling this is unique among them all. I have a kick for coconut scent lately and this has not disappoint.

Lasodine

Very very floral. If you do not like floral notes, stay away from this fragrance. Yes, the "garden" in the fragrance name stays true. I do not sense much of the coconut or vanilla in this perfume, that is why I seeked out to sample this. Reminds me more of a honeysuckle if anything. Definitely does not fit my body chemistry.

empawprint

So I tried this at the perfume shop several times. I cant afford it right now, but I really like it.

This doesn not smell like anything garden. Me and my sister smell caramel in this one. Coconut, caramel, sweet but not sickly sweet but a warm and pleasant sweet scent. A hint of flowers on the far back.

A must buy for edible scents lovers

Percomo_time

🥰😍👍👍👍🥥🥥🥥🥥

AuthenticAF

I just got this and love it so far!
This is very dominant with coconut, which i really like a lot. It is very similar to lveb soleil cristal but lveb seems more…deep or something? Maybe it has patch where this does not? This makes me think of a high end lotion with a almond/floral/coconut scent. It isnt super sweet to me, i dont get citrus. Very creamy and not in a suntan lotion way. Very nice!

Tooturntt

This perfume is an absolute no for me. It smells like body odor and salty sweat. It's definitely not compatible with my chemistry. On my cousin it smells like a tropical garden. Not bad just didn't work on me.

10Muse.

Has such a sweet, almost too-sugary scent. I got used to it, though. Love wearing it around the house.

WearyWanderer

Everyone is saying it’s a perfect summer perfume, but I’m sad I found it too late for Christmas. I’m a Soviet baby, and this scent reminds me of New Year’s celebrations when I was little. I don’t get much coconut, mostly a beautiful, sparkling, festive mandarin orange/tangerine with vanilla dessert behind it! Scent of childhood. I just might wear it on NYE!

Denu

Fruity, coconut floral. It’s very warm here today so I’ve only applied it lightly - the sweet florals would be too much otherwise. I’d wear this if I wanted something with a more dominant sweet, tropical note and a light coconut scent. Very happy I was able to buy it at a great price and to have it alongside my other coconut fragrances Bronze Goddess and La vie est Belle Soleil Cristal.

FRAGLORD3000

This is the most vile perfume i've ever smelled. I am shocked an offended by the many great reviews, am I even on the same planet? I adore coconut as well as florals but this pairing is criminal, it smells rotten and truly sickening i've never had to scrub something off faster and I was so excited to try since I love coconut. Wow do not blind buy this smells toxic I am so confused.

Fruity_Love

I don’t get any coconut in this! At first spray, it smells like magnolia and floral. Then, it settles into an incredible warm vanilla and sandalwood scent. My boyfriend LOVES it. It actually smells very winter and fall on me, not summery or tropical at all. It smells amazing.

Jummi Jade

I bought this after reading the reviews and I'm glad I did. This is such a beautiful coconut scent. At first it's like a sweet Coconut-frangipani blast which is so refreshing. Does down to a beautiful creamy and sweet coconutty vanilla and I just can't stop sniffing my wrist. Such a beautiful blind buy. Reminds me of Nivea coconut body wash I used years ago.

AleshaA

This is such an easy scent to wear during the spring summer and even winter
Just makes me so happy love sniffing my wrist good longevity I have a large bottle and purse spray
Also looking for a backup bottle worth keeping in your collection
Not all perfumes are for others to sniff sometimes you can enjoy your own scent and feel great ;)

blondemelancholic

WOW! That's all I can say about this perfume. Affordable and sweet, it is out to impress. Curious to find a fragrance called "Garden" that is so light on the floral notes. Despite the pyramid (and I really was hoping for mandarin orange, a beloved note for me) I couldn't pick up any, frankly -- immediately after spraying my senses were filled with coconut and almonds. A very creamy, nutty scent. Not a garden of flowers, but a garden party of girls in lovely dresses, sharing expensive little desserts. Surprisingly great longevity for the price point. I do wish it was a little more complex; as much as I loved the nutty coconut, I noticed no real change as time went on. But it is definitely a keeper I will reach for in the warmer months.

kyrakirana77

Creamy coconut, I can get the frangipani notes too.
Such an exquisite combinations of coconut with floral notes. Had the sample and decided to buy the full bottle after testing it to office.
Lasted 6 hours on me
Can't stop sniffing my arms

Kcbear28

Oh yummy. As summer fragrances go, I like it. Its floral but you can certainly smell the coconut. So refreshing and happy. Easy to wear, non offensive, everyday scent. Rather safe to blind buy if you like the look of the notes.

katarinamalik

This is my signature perfume. Sweet, but not in an offensive way, for me it’s a tad powdery and beautiful. Fairy tale perfume 🌸 I love it.

Ceevee963

This is not good. I smell overripe, almost rotten pineapple and coconut and faint ylang ylang. Something also very synthetic on my skin. Sorry for anyone who loves this, but it’s a NO for me.

update: the drydown is OK…but it smells exactly like Jessica Fancy Love, which I actually really like. I’ll skip this and go straight for Fancy Love.

anitasaastamoinen

I wanted a coconut scent, that's not too spicy and that's suitable for every season. This is delicate creation, sweet but not too sweet, coconut is certainly there. I can smell pineapple among other notes, yes, pina colada comes to my mind. The scent is good also during colder months, it reminds me also about coconut dessert.

thatsoutherngalval

This fragrance was almost love at first sniff for me...I just thought it was soft and beautiful and a perfect sweet summer scent without being cloying in the high humidity and heat of the south. This is an everyday fragrance though, nothing special or unique, doesn't really get compliments b/c longevity and sillage are low. My husband has also never once commented on this fragrance, so for special occasions or date night I usually end up choosing another one in my collection that He and I both love. In hindsight I wish I had purchased a rollerball or travel size instead of the mid-size bottle just because I don't think I will wear this enough to get the value out of the bottle. No one else has said this, but the first time I smelled Alien Goddess Original I thought it was a warmer more mature version of this fragrance -- I haven't ever smelled them side by side so they may not be similar other than sharing the Coconut note. If I get a chance to do a side by side comparison then I will update this review.

XOXO_marcel

This is an absolutely delicious scent! Candy-like florals at the opening, dries down to a sweet and uniquely deep vanilla frosting. Good longevity and projection, adorable bottle. As lovely as it is on a tester strip, it's even better on skin!
There's no praline listed, but I wonder if it's in there anyways; I can pick up something like that towards the end of its life along with the coconut. It reminds me of Ariana Grande's Cloud, but I would rate this one higher. The opening is very intense, almost penetrating, and kind of reminds me of an AirHeads candy (in a good, expensive way).

l_02mx

I love this scent profile but this is a total miss for me! Something in this turns sour and you’re left with an unpleasant generic perfumey scent. The lasting power is weak too.

Veronica1962

This is a really beautiful, unique seductive scent, it definitely draws attention but it does kinda remind me of a mens cologne just a little bit, I can't remember which one.

oceanorchid

Olympea Solar is the most similar one here? They are nothing similar at all!

PlanetGrl

Completely mesmerized by this one, though it seems misnamed. Coconut galore with no trace of sunscreen. But does anyone else get the smell of makeup, especially lipstick?

CelinaPerfuma

I don't hate this, but I work in shopping centre management and it smells like the scented cleaner our cleaners use in the bathrooms. I wouldn't wear it, and I will always think of a public bathroom every time I smell it.

realitygreene

I thought for sure I reviewed this last summer, but I guess not! Dolce Garden is really nice. It's the perfect summer coconut fragrance for me because it's not JUST coconut and it doesn't smell like sunscreen. Those kind of scents had their time to shine in my life when I was in high school. I just don't enjoy those scents much. But, Dolce Garden is creamy tropical coconut. I swear it smells kind of like mangoes on my skin in the high heat. I think that is due to the frangipani. I'm wearing this today and it's slightly cooler weather (about 60 degrees F) and the coconut is the most dominant note for sure. I think I prefer this when the tropical flowers/mango smell is prominent. Not sure I would pay more than $30~ for a bottle because of the inconsistency. This fragrance is very pleasant and delicious, but not something I would reach for everyday

azillies

I love this perfume so much!! It is my all time favourite so far. Coconutty vanilla sweetness but not sickly sweet but a warm sweet vanilla. Get so many compliments when i wear this. I was gifted this perfume about 4 years ago as the person knew i love coconut scents, and i am on my 4th bottle now. I keep buying it bc i run out and i love it so much. Gourmand. So nice to wear during cold months. I am quite noseblind to this perfume by now because i wear it almost every day

TheFancyNancy

This one is surprisingly versatile. I can see being a typical go-to coconut fragrance for summer days.

But I can also see it as a wintertime gourmand. To me it smells like sweet coconut dessert.

It isn't serious or classy, but it isn't trying to be. Definitely a love!

Tulip_Tutus

I definitely feel like the odd one out regarding this fragrance...

I bought a travel spray bottle (thankfully) because I kept reading and watching reviews claiming that this is one of THE BEST coconut scents - and I love coconut - but I am not getting any of the hype surrounding this frag. I think name is pretty accurate, I smell mostly florals with a hint of coconut, which disappears relatively quickly for me. It is a lovely fragrance, but not what I was expecting after listening to everyone rave about it.

You can’t go wrong with this fragrance! Not only is is affordable but it is also a beautiful summer fragrance. Smells like a coconut sunscreen (remember when you were a child at the pool and one of your friends had the coconut sunscreen and you wished you had that sunscreen) in a garden filled with flowers on a sunny day.

R0x0lana

Sephora salesperson gave me a sample... well, now I know I don't like coconut in my perfumes.
I do like the smell of this, but obviously it is popular... but not a blind buy for sure.

astridkh3

This is one that you need to be in the right mood into wear, but when you do wear it it’s delicious. Garden smells like eating buttery coconut baked goods next to an orange tree, probably near the beach. I think this works in any season. Definitely a compliment getter as well. Projection is great but the scent changes a lot within the first 2 hours and ends up smelling like floral vanilla almonds. Not complaining about that though as it’s a lovely smell through its entire wear time. The hype on this one is definitely justified as it’s a really unique take on coconut.

Lindsconn

This is incredibly sweet! If you’re into sweet fragrances you might just love this one. The sweetness is a bit much for me where I find it pretty cloying, but it has got a lovely coconut note to it which makes it feel quite tropical and summery!

Performance is pretty good too. I would say if you’re into sweet scents and coconuts then you could probably blind buy this and enjoy it. But if you have the tendency to find sweet fragrances cloying then maybe avoid it.

Mikki.Lee95

Obsessed, obsessed, obssesed. I would never expect a fragrance named 'garden' with a flower cap to smell like the most luxurious creamy coconut. It is not a tropical beacy coconut to me, but conjures up images of a beautiful tropical garden and creamy coconut milk. I just wish this scent lasted a bit longer on my skin because I love it so much. Admittedly, I am a die hard coconut fragrance fan, and I would put this in a similar category as Kayali Coco Utopia, as it has that same lactonic, yet floral edge. The floral notes help this be a spring-summer fragrance, rather than just holiday vibes. It is warm, comforting, inviting... when I wear this people always want to cuddle up to smell it!

Nil3

They should’ve named this 'Beach‘.
Dolce Beach.

candieskulls

My mom had sprayed this one while we were browsing perfumes and I caught a whiff of it, and immediately I was like, "Whoa, what IS that?" Sweet, warm, cozy. Then it hit me: this reminds me of Pink's body mist Warm & Cozy! Like the big sister version of that. I don't get any of the orange/neroli vibes, it straight up reminds me of those coconut macaroon cookies. I dig it! But yeah, I have to agree, this flanker being called "Garden" is very misleading, it should have been named something more tropical. Feel like this would be amazing layered with a coconut lotion. The sillage and longevity is fantastic!

irlfireprincess

I get more tropical/luxury resort vibes than garden. Reminds me of a more affordable version of PDM Safanad.

erinmeaghan

Warm and sweet, a very pretty scent with a very misleading name. This scent would be perfect for a cold winters evening when you're craving summer, but still need something suitable for the chilly weather. On my skin, the warm sugary vanilla is most prominent, with the coconut hiding in the background a little more. I personally don't think I would buy a bottle unless I found someone selling one quite cheaply. In my opinion, its nice but nothing special.

brookamimi

I've tried a sample and I'm obsessed. The coconut is king here, but somehow without screaming "tropical" or "summer." The vanilla and wood give it a good base for year-round wear. People have joked that I only ever want to smell like flowers and candy, and that's not the whole truth, but Dolce Garden definitely fits that profile.

nurism96

I recently got my hands on this beauty and oh my... i'm SOOO HAPPY I DID IT. It was a blind buy because it is very very difficult to find this one in stores here in Spain to try it out, but i trusted the reviews. I was looking for the perfect summer scent, and i think i found it. If you like coconut let me tell you... this is HEAVEN. It is such a gorgeous, milky, coconutty, tropical, intoxicating scent with a hint of neroli which makes it kind of "mature", i mean, it is not something a teen would wear imo. I like to wear it in the evenings when i go out. It is not a day time scent nor a night time scent, it is just in the middle for me. Lasting power is not the greatest though, but i don't mind to reapply.

If you like coconut you will LOVE this one. I get insane compliments from both men and women. Two friends of mine went crazy and told me like 50 times how good i smelled. And, btw, a quick tip: if you like coconut and you want to make it more "night time appropriate", layer it with Versace Crystal Noir if you have it and you will have the sexiest coconut accord ever... Sometimes i pair it also with VS Coconut Passion body spray and Yves Rocher coconut body milk and oh boy... WIN COMBINATION.

chicagogirl

I agree that this is best for cold weather. It's actually sweet, cuddly, with heavy warm cozy notes. I can't enjoy it though bc I got it right before COVID lockdowns in 2020 and smelling it always reminds me of being on lockdown for months lol. Willing to trade to anyone interested. 1.7 oz

Jazieboo7410

@b.a.Denney I actually prefer this in the winter. I never wear in the summer because it smells too much like sunscreen to me in hot months. The sweetness really shines through in the colder months.

b.a.denney

Is this also suitable for winter wear?

I do have summer and winter favorites, but is this one still perform okay in fall and winter? I have a travel size, and before I get the full bottle I'd like some input on this. If it only shines in the heat, I'll hold off getting it for next spring. If it's okay year round, I'll get it sooner.

perfumegoddess6

I smelled it in 2019 and I love it since. It's a crowd pleaser. When I smell this perfume it gives me a picture of a pretty sweet girl in a beach drinking a pinacolada. It's a warm, sexy, sweet, and happy scent.

Sully92

This smells almost exactly like Malibu (coconut rum) plus a bit of frangipani and some vanilla in the drydown. I'm not getting any almond milk or any of the top notes at all.
Performance is okay, it projects well for the first hour or so and lasts around 6 hours.
The name doesn't fit at all, it should have been called 'dolce beach' or 'dolce tropical'.
It's nice enough if you like the smell of coconut but it's not my cup of tea, it's a little boring if I'm brutally honest.

betsyglez8

I was about to sell this perfume .

Sometimes you don’t create a connection with a perfume . Not because it’s bad . But because you just don’t understand it or it can be boring to your nose .

Yes I feel I’ve smelled this type of scent so many time and mostly on y2k fragrances . Like can can . Nicki Minaj . Britney . I underestimated this one because I kept comparing it with the basic sweet perfumes ,

And yes this is mostly what you get from dolce garden . But suddenly y sprayed again , and I could feel the rose mixing with the coconut and feeling deeper and deeper in this sweet garden . I found it to be very enjoyable actually , and wanting to just wear it for self pleasure .
Yes all the sweet perfumes like this one are crowd pleasers but they’re crowd pleasers for a reason . They’re really good and I hate to love crowd pleasers because I try not to be basic or body sprayish type of person in the crowd 😂 but honestly I do love smelling these treats .
yes im using this one for self pleasure 💗
. 🥥🍡🍰

Scorpeous

The name is rather misleading as I don't get "garden" from this but, rather "beachy vacay" vibes. The way the coconut, almond milk and florals play on my skin is just perfect. The Ylang-Ylang comes out on my chemistry most and almost makes this almost end up smelling like a banana milkshake. YUM!

Leah0026

This is very linear on my skin. All I’m getting is strong coconut and pineapple - like I drenched myself in a pina colada. It’s very strong. I would have enjoyed this on holiday when I was younger but it’s not for me. As many have said, the name does not fit the scent at all.

karinatfragrantica

This is a sweet vanilla-coconut scent, very girly vibes. Cute bottle, just the name "Garden" is not fitting at all. There is nothing green or herbal about it and it is also not particularly flowery. Not my taste at all but my teenage daughter likes it a lot.

Princess_Moth

Finally tried this one as a lot of youtubers are mentioning to be a need for summer scents .It gives on my skin same vibes are Jessica Simpson Fancy in therms of sweetness , it goes from walking under some extremeley sweet pollinated floral trees headache inducing to some delicious bakery produce.Too sweet for summer and I cannot smell any coconut .
Its just...sweet...not a bad smell but I cannot smell anything rather than sweet .So yeah if you like the perfume I mentioned you would like this one aswell , want to save money stick to Fancy Jessica Simpson and eventuall mix that with VS Coconut Passion for a more summery touch .

Moonwalk Memorie

Happy to have purchased a sample.
Is it nice and well-formulated? YES.
Is it overhyped? *Tom Segura* OH YEAH.
🥥🌴
The name is misleading. I'm getting summetime coconut gourmand. I do like how it dries into a softer, almost floral coconut, though.

AMMILLER

I just got this today (travel size). So far it's a like not a love. I love the opening, tropical coconut fantasy but not too "suntan lotiony." Soft yellow flowers ane sweet coconut open.

Then the vanilla takes over. Completely. A sickley sweet, cotton candy, vanilla that shouts.

There is also something... unpleasant in here. Something medicinal, that reminds me of vicks vapor rub, I just can't place my finger on it. Maybe gauze bandages lightly dipped in vics?

I wasn't expecting this scent to be so complex. The dry down is floral, vanilla, sandalwood and a touch powdery and formal.

I don't get much coconut in the dry down.

I'm going to wear this for a few days and update my review. But right now I like it but not on me.

Update: decidedly, I don't like it. It's medicinal in some way... the coconut is too weak, and the scent is sort of weak.

bajablast

feeds my vanilla craving in the summer like nothing else...
all of my other vanilla perfumes are too heavy but this shines in the heat. so feminine and sexy...
i am almost out, definitely a strong contender for a repurchase. loved it

Kuty22

I blind bought this one - totally influenced by the YouTube hype -
It's just a like
No love from me here
I'm finding more and more that I'm never enamored by 'coconuty' scents
I should've just purchase The OO intense
Now I'm scared of buying Versace crystal Noir

lovelore

i like this but then i don't. on my skin, i really get the orange mandarin note in combo with the coconut note in a strange and sour way. but then, the creamy accords of the coconut get pulled along with the almond milk and vanilla and it is really nice. every time i get a whiff of this scent, i have a different reaction. i'm glad i bought just a sample instead of blind buying, it's not blind buy safe. i agree with someone a few reviews down, the weird sourness is reminiscent of expired vitamins. the only one intense is not very similar to dolce garden, but i would say it is a really good sweeter, richer, white floral alternative, with orange mandarin, neroli, a heavy dose of coconut and vanilla.

Lavagirl66

Okay, from now on I'm taking perfume Youtube influencer reviews with a grain of salt. So glad I didn't purchase this from my local discount pharmacy, although I did try it on. Don't buy this if its a beachy coconut you are after. This is dense and linear, in the same vein as Elie Saab Girl of Now, which is also raved on about on social media. For me it lacks the transparency and salty skin seductiveness I expect from a Summer coconut scent. The separate note breakdown appears enticing, but sadly they are are imperceptible. I just get one thick and slightly tropical, in a pineapple juice sort of way, experience. I can see why it has been discounted. If you can find this at a great price like I did ($60AUD), and it's a sweet and girly but generically sweet scent you are after, then it's a good buy, otherwise, it's just a goodbye from me.

ArianaS

Not Dolce&Gabanna style and I like that. This is one of the few fragrances that I like from them. I feel a strong similarity with Black Opium but with a superior performance on the skin. The coconut and vanilla is dominant here with a slightly almond.

carleycanton14

I bought this since everyone was hyping it up, and at first I was iffy about it.. but now that it's summer I have been enjoying it especially days wearing it to the beach. I get frangipani, coconut, sweet vanilla, mandarin. I don't really pick up the almond or the other florals. I see some people love but a lot of dislikes on this. To me this is pretty sweet, and lots of frangipani so if you're not a fan of that then I would pass but otherwise I think worth checking out. I haven't had a lot of luck with Dolce & Gabbana fragrances but this is pretty good.

Loevens

I really really wanted to love this one. All the notes seem like something I would really enjoy, and I am crazy about coconut, Frangipani and ylang ylang. But I just don't smell what everybody else smells. To me it smells like expired multivitamins. I get no sweetness at all, just sour expired vitamins mixed with something creamy and floral. At first I was sure that my sample had gone off, but I have tested several samples and even dupe oils, with the same result each time. I'm just gonna have to accept, that this one is not for me.

Zae

Just purchased this Hahahah it smells like my spray tanning lotion... Perfect for my summer on the beach. Oh longevity just ok

Natalie123123

Dry down is Bubble Bath by Maison Martin Margiela. Righ?! Dolce Garden is slightly more floral and feminine.

Takmona

I usually like dolce and Gabbana perfume and bought this without smelling as the notes seemed nice and the bottle is as always pretty. I regretted it though as I smelt like a watermelon all day, or some strong summer fruit, and the smell lasted a long time. Won't be buying again I'm afraid.

redberrykitty

This is really beautiful, as I expected. It's tropical; I mostly get the coconut, magnolia, vanilla, and frangipani. It isn't overly sweet to me, but could be to some who don't typically go for sweeter fragrances. The "garden" in the name would suggest that it invokes the feeling of being in a garden on a mild Spring day, and that's a fair description, but this mostly gives beachy vibes.

maziarzl

Not super impressed. All of the notes work well together, I guess I was expecting more.

Jadealichious

I loved the opening to this and I was almost ready to buy it but decided to let it sit on my skin and walk around for a while.

It was a very very rainy day and I had to walk home in the rain but all I could smell for the reat of the evening was grapefruit (or judging from the notes it was mandarin).

This is one of the reasons I usually try to stay away from strong citrus notes because on my skin they tend to be quite domineering.

I liked the opening enough to probably give it another go some other time!

gnathaliegh

I held off on byung this for a while because I really dislike the bottle and I own a few other coconut fragrances that I really like. But reading the reviews and notes, I simply could not resist. And I'm really glad I didn't. The coconut in this is really creamy and sweet and the yellow florals really shine. Then after a while, the almond and vanilla come through more and more. If you love coconut, Dolce Garden is a must have.

hola gigi

I didn't bother to smell this sooner because I wasn't drawn to the bottle or the name: garden... since I'm not a lover of florals. Once I found out there was coconut in it, I finally tried it out & was pleasantly surprised! It's a sophisticated tropical easy reach with lots of coconut & almond. Not very much of a "garden" scent at all.

GUADELUPA

It's a coconut and delicate almond milk scent. Absolutely charming! Fragrance of moderate (but deep) sweetness and creaminess. It is absolutely comfortable for any hot and cold weather. Coconut here is very milky. And these milky coconut and almond notes are very harmonized, they force to love this scent so much! Longevity and sillage are excellent. I can smell it for twenty four hours and more on clothes. For the name, it's not the usual garden near your house. If you're looking for flowers, you will not find them here. This fragrance is about the tropical island. Creamy coconut masterpiece, the best in the Dolce line!

Rock´n´roll

This one is a must have for summer! It’s fresh, but have a depth. Tropical flowers, a hint of sweet coconut a perfect summer scent that last really great on skin 👍🏻

SimonsTux

Mostly mainstream pretty floral but with a sweet milky coconut note that makes it unique in my collection! Tropical vacation. Performance a little better than similar profiles.

This grew on me. At first I got sour milk but I'm coming around!

kagumasi

i recently bought this perfume and let me tell you guys it lives up to the name. it smells exactly like a garden! i smell fresh flowers, oranges, and magnolia. it is definitely a fresh summer scent and you get the slightest hint of coconut. whenever i wear this i always get people telling me i smell clean and i definitely do feel very fresh when i have this on.

it's perfect for those hot summer days when you want to smell fresh and floral. i absolutely love this perfume for when i'm going to the pool or just hanging out in the sun. it's going to be a staple in my summers from now on! ♡

Princessy

As a coconut lover, I was very disappointed when I blind bought this perfume.

I was waiting for a creamy coconut, in the same vibe as Soleil Blanc or The Only One Intense. But this one is a green and sharp coconut. It gives me the same coconut vibe as Crystal Noir, which I really don't like either.

But the name is pretty clear, I'll described it as a coconut in the middle of grass. It's definitely a summer day time fragrance. The longevity and the sillage are moderate.

Laralaritaaa

I have to make another review for this one since my thoughts changed over time.
This scent has a huge plastic accord that I'm not a fan of. I'm always down for synthetic fragrances but this one... it's too much. As I say, people tend to downplay this fragrance as a floral but nah... right behind vanilla, a huge magnolia and yellow floral overload is there. I do enjoy a good yellow floral, but this one is too heavy on everything. There's nothing fresh in the opening or some musk to air up things a little bit. Head ache inducing.

fragreviewer

I don't know if it's me or what but so many perfumes that are said to have coconut end up smelling like buttered popcorn to me and this is no different. After letting it sit for awhile, the butter popcorn tames down a bit and I get all of the floral notes. The florals smell lovely but I can still smell salty butter which obviously ruins it for me.

Conniethehbk

I really thought I was going to love this scent. Based on the reviews it sounded exactly like the summer fragrance I’ve been hunting but I’ve noticed scents that I love get torn apart on this site and scents that I loathe are so hyped (find someone on here who has similar likes/dislikes and hold them close!) The best way I can describe my experience with this scent is imagine you ordered a peach coconut tropical smoothie (yeah I know peach isn’t a listed noted but homie there’s a peachy something here), you’re drinking it outside during the heat of summer, you spill some smoothie on a plastic table and it just coagulates in the sun, it’s sticky, it’s thick, it’s sour while somehow simultaneously being super sweet. I was hoping for a delicious creamy coconut floral summer scent but the lactonic notes in this are so reminiscent of yogurt (that creamy sour scent) rather than the almond milk or coconut listed as notes. I couldn’t take it, returned it immediately.

The Irmanator

Yummy floral coconut. Actually bought this by mistake, thinking this was the one with mango (turned out it was Dolce Shine). However, I am happy I made the mistake. Garden is sweet, fresh, and makes me happy. I followed taragsmellzbomb's example and layered it with L'Imperatrice and, yes, it is FYYRE. L'Imperatrice added the depth that it needs for me. On me it lasts for 6-7 hours on me on a cool autumn day. Curious of its performance in a warmer weather. Would buy again. Delicious.

Emera1d

This is a very sweet, boozy and syrupy coconut that I am enjoying a lot. Yes it's young and maybe too sweet and unpretentious and not sophisticated but it is an easy going scent that makes me feel happy every time I wear it. Wouldn't wear it to work, but save it for vacation time instead. Apart form the coconut I can't smell any other individual notes, but it does give me a tropical island feel. One to try before I buy, as I think it might seem a bit basic or lacking to some. But Dolce Garden changed the way I feel about coconut perfumes, so this is staying in my collection until the bottle is empty.

ProfoundAroma

Headache inducing yuck!
It may smell kinda okay-ish on strip for the first 5 seconds but then it Smells like a dentist office

Tarine

I expected fruity flowery spring summer scent, however I only could smell very sickly sweet scent from the beginning to the end ( T_T)…I do like sweet scent, but it was too much for me. I guess it’s because of my skin comparing to other reputations. According to my nose, the strongest is milky scent… maybe it might be almond milk and vanilla absolute. I wanted to feel more frangipani, coconut and flowers. I think this perfume should not be called gardenia. Someone who likes gourmand scents might love it.

keyo2468

It smells exactly like plumeria & honeysuckle flowers to me, it’s very nostalgic and reminds me of being young visiting my grandma in Hawaii

Rcates78

From the title and notes I was expecting something MUCH more floral, but my experience with this perfume is more gourmand, lactonic, and SUH-WEET. It's rather nice, but not at all what I was expecting with a name like "Garden"..... unless of course we're talking about the candy garden from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

If there is citrus in this one, it is so fleeting and subtle that I cannot pick it up. On first spray I get almond, sweet cream, and creamy coconut. Magnolia notes (to me) always come across as powdery and lilting, and that is definitely the case here. Frangipani can read rather sweet and creamy so maybe I'm picking that up as well because I def get a tropical vibe, but I don't smell neroli or ylang so they must be under the surface, subtly supporting the rest. After a couple of hours, I'm enveloped in caramelized vanilla and salty wood, with the sweetness doubling down on itself at this point. Sandalwood essential oil has a resiny tinge upon diffusion that is missing here (and would have given some balance to the uber sweet, IMHO), with just the remaining smoky wood notes cradling the saccharine vanilla and almond. Sillage, projection, and longevity are all great and I don't become anosmic to it over the course of the day.

Unfortunately, after about 3 or 4 hours, I've developed a headache. A total bummer because I like the perfume but I'm starting to think sandalwood sets off a headache for me the same way musk does. @wondervalley666 noted below that synthetic coconut gives her and her spouse headaches, so maybe that's the culprit? I typically like gourmands (Angel is my signature) but I prefer them to be balanced with something dirty, crisp, or resiny. It seems like Garden is on a mission of world domination via sugar rush and that makes it simply too overwhelming for me.

Coma Berenices

I usually enjoy coconut in perfume because of the holiday vibes, but I didn't get much of it here. It's a sweet floral with vanilla and it's nice, but kinda boring.

mrsoutlaw

A very pretty fruity floral. The citrus and coconut blend together to give this perfume a beautiful Caribbean Island feel. The fragrance would be great for warm weather. I picked up a sample of this fragrance and while I like it, I do not feel as though it is full bottle worthy. The scent profile is fairly generic, the longevity is terrible and the sillage dies down to a skin scent fairly quickly. It is pleasant enough, but I feel like you can and should spend your money on something that is at least a better performer than Dolce Garden.

So

In my senses, it is like Chanel Allure edp but fresher and with less longevity and silage and girly. I have both and I like both, but Allure gives me a headache sometimes.

tanss

Sunscreen type fragrance, a bit salty, somewhat sweet, intense. Not getting the gourmand aspect of it, dont find it too sweet, more intense than anything. Not my type of fragrance but I get the beachy, summer vibes it gives most people who try it.

wondervalley666

A big let down. I have had this on my list of scents to check out for awhile. I LOVE coconut, the other notes should have made this a winner. I wanted a lot of coconut. I also have a few fav scents made by DG so I assumed this would be a hit…

Nope. Immediately upon first spray I knew I made a mistake. It’s quite bland. It has a messy scent mix that reminds me of walking through the body spray section at BBW or Victoria’s Secret, especially after someone just dumped a half bottle of overly sugary synthetic vanilla on themselves. The notes in this fragrance aren’t distinct. They seem very thrown together in a concoction designed to be “safe” and not chosen because of the way they interact and make magic. I am not an Arianna Grande Cloud wearer, but I did sample it awhile ago so I could understand what younger commenters are always talking about. Upon spraying Dolce Garden, I was shocked at how similar it smelled to cloud. A little less cupcake-like, but still far too sugary vanilla sweet for me.

I get a sinus burn when I smell Dolce Garden. And it will grow and grow the longer I smell it, until it turns into a headache. I think that’s the synthetic coconut they use because the only fragrances that bother me in this way are Sol de Janeiro scents and some other newer coconut sprays I’ve sampled. Both Dolce Garden and all the SDJ sprays have almost undetectable synthetic coconut to my nose, I mostly get a hot plastic chemical scent from this “green fresh coconut” that seems like it’s becoming more popular and is often heavily covered by a sugary gourmand vanilla note. It really grosses me out. Makes me nauseous. I never met a coconut scent I didn’t love until 3-4 years ago. Now I can’t find ones I like, anywhere, and every coconut scent I used to wear has been discontinued or reformulated. I do not have this issue with the coconut in Versace’s Crystal Noir or in JHAGs Sunny Side Up, which are two of my fav coconut-heavy scents, but neither is a “pure coconut” scent so I’m always looking for more suggestions.

Dolce Garden is probably best suited for teens and younger women. Also, older women who enjoy overly sweet vanilla blends that are gentle enough for the office. This perfume manages not to be too loud or make a statement, unless you overspray, it’s more of a persistent hum of background noise-always there, easy to overlook, but if you focus too much on it, you may grow irritable. So even though I guess this should be a nice office scent, keep in mind you may be giving some coworkers headaches. Keep it light.

Even though my first wrist test gave me the urge to scrub, I gave this scent an honest try. I applied after an evening shower. An hour later it almost seemed to transform into a bit of a stinky ashtray scent after my spouse, who is a smoker, came near me (outdoors). I never has a perfume do this before, the perfume on my chest under my coat instantly went sour for 20 minutes after having a tiny bit of smoke near it. I don’t recommend this for smokers. I mostly felt unimpressed by this scent and like there was something a bit irritating to it. I tried to “cover it up” before bed with Bon Bon by Viktor and Rolf (one of my fav scents) thinking the florals and caramel in that would drown out Garden, and the results were not good. I got a nauseating blend of both, with Garden primarily choking out Bon Bon, that made me wonder if my Bon Bon had turned. It hadn’t, but Garden made it sour somehow. So I wouldn’t recommend this as an easy layering scent either, it goes sour when exposed to bad smells and chokes out good smells. Uhg.

I slept in the blend of Bon Bon and Garden and in terms of strength, Garden took over immediately and lasted all night. I cringed every time I caught a whiff. It’s now morning and I can’t believe how much this stuff still is ALL I can smell. And the longer I’m smelling it, the more it’s bringing back the headache it gave me last night.

Just to clear up any confusion, this does not smell like pineapple. I guess a lot of commenters don’t know what pineapple smells like. The smell they are taking about is coconut. There’s no pina colada scent here. I think I would have thrown up if this had pineapple in it. It also doesn’t to me smell tropical in any way, I think it smells like (in order)

1. Vanilla sugar gourmand overload
2. Plastic -like an old Barbie doll left to melt on the driveway during the summer.
3. a febreeze coconut car air freshener - the one that my spouse asked me to throw away because it made his head hurt.
4. A sloppy blend of overly sugared florals like waking past the body spray section at the mall.

I wanted to love this so much and it’s one of the first scents I had high hopes for that really let me down.

UPDATE: I recently received a bottle of Mugler's Alien Goddess and that is everything this perfume wants to be and more. It is SO much better in every way. The florals are crisp and strong in the traditional Alien manner, the coconut is not as synthetic, cloying and nauseating. Alien Goddess smells in every way much cleaner, better, more expensive, and addictive than Dolce Garden. If you were into the idea of Dolce Garden but found it too synthetic, bland, and headachey, try Alien Goddess instead. Also, judging by the reviews and notes, Alien Goddess seems to be similar to D&G's The Only One Intense (which seems to be more similar to Dolce Garden than the regular Only One), but without the sickly synthetic coconut reviewers complain about which sounds like the same note in Garden that is putting me off. I haven't sniffed The Only One Intense yet (and I'm not rushing out to), so this part is pure speculation.

mandyads

Does anyone else feel like this is a more crowd-pleasing, sweeter, coconut cousin to Parfums de Marly Cassili? Because that's definitely the vibe I get. I quite like this, but not sure if I'd want to purchase since I already have Cassili and they seem to be in the same family to me... Perhaps I can find a great coconut fragrance to layer her with to get a bit more of the Dolce Garden experience. I've yet to find an amazing true coconut fragrance and I really enjoy the coconut cream simulation here. Hm... maybe I should still get it, haha.

UPDATE: Freshly sprayed the two side by side on my skin for comparison. They are definitely cousins, but their moms were very different ladies. Dolce Garden is slightly "cleaning product/air freshener" like. I often buy tropical scented wipes and cleaning supplies and I think that is why this is so familiar to me. I didn't pick up on this during my first wear... maybe because I wasn't comparing it to Cassili at the time. It's still creamy and coconutty, but there is something a bit artifical and off-putting about it. Cassili is also tropical and creamy, but where Dolci Garden is cleanser-coconut, Cassili is soiled dampened-plum. In the sillage, these two smell more closely related with Dolce Garden just coming off as a sweeter and creamer people-pleasing version of a unique and tart Cassili. However, the differences are apparent when you put your nose closer to the skin.

I am still considering purchasing Dolce Garden as it is an easy grab and I don't feel like that weird and artificial component is a deal breaker since I don't really smell it when I'm wafting around and it settles down as the fragrance gets into the creamier mid. It's relatively easy to find second hand for cheap as well. Not something I'm rushing to go grab, but I would put it closer to the bottom of my purchase list.

blackcat02

This isn't a creamy sweet coconut to me. I get a really unripe, green coconut from this (very clean, almost like coconut water) and am a little disappointed because I was expecting something completey different. I smell some florals from this. Not very coconutty but a lot of vanilla and almond. I still really like this fragrance and am going to keep it around, I just had something totally different in mind. Although this has something in it that keeps drawing me back to it. Edit: I’ve changed my mind about this and now I think it’s one of my favorites. I can smell the creaminess of the coconut and delicate florals. I still get the beautiful almond vanilla combination that I love. Ultra femme, perfect for summer.

If its better than Vanille Coco, I want it. Funny I've been talking about a coconut, almond scent and here it is.

This is absolutely gorgeous with my scent chemistry. Sweet but not obnoxious. This will be my new night time go to <3

I mostly notice vanilla, a hint of coconut, but very complementary base notes to keep it grounded.

For me, this perfume is a no. Very sweet and the vanilla note lingers in the wrong way - leaving me with a headache. This is the sort of perfume which you love on someone else but hate on yourself. Another reviewer described the scent as scratchy, and I couldn't agree more. I smell no coconut in this, unfortunately. Overall, a sickly sweet scent, which kind of reminds me of my grandma.

isolated_poison

the scent is sweet which i like...it's a little skratchy which i don't like....however i think the skratchiness keeps me from going nose blind which happens with so many perfumes i try

I mix this with D&G Limpertirce (spelled wrong I’m sure) but it’s sooooi 🔥 together

Surprisingly I dont get much coconut from this scent, which is a plus to me as I'm not huge on coconut scents. To me it's a very floral vanilla. If there is a coconut undertone to it it's not the typical coconut im used to and dislike. This is very likeable but not unique in my opinion. I'd still be happy if someone gifted it to me. For now my small travel size is enough.

On initial spray, I get straight up milky smooth candied coconut. Then, the white florals peek through but the frangipani is front and centre. The vanilla, almond and sandalwood makes this incredibly creamy. I don’t get synthetic notes at all. I associate tropical to be more so coconut and fruits, to me this is sitting in a gorgeous floral garden, perhaps with some sweet vanilla coconut cakes and almond cream. I absolutely adore this scent.

I think I understand why Dolce Garden has such polarizing reviews. It opens in an innocuous candy-sweet manner with crystalline airy fluffy coconut-almond-honey-vanilla, like a comforting and sweet milkshake with all of the above, similar to Almond Blossom & Oat Milk from Victoria's Secret. But what's lurking underneath are florals which DO NOT behave like the cleaned up, pared back, sheer abstract versions of themselves which usually appear in scents which feature this type of playful youthful packaging. No, these florals kept all their naughty bits! The ylang is husky and indolic, the magnolia is sour, green and lemony with some discernable bitterness.

If you think this perfume just doesn't work with your skin, it's probably because there's an actual discrepancy here between the innocent as a newborn top notes, and the well-traveled no-nonsense florals underneath. An interesting and unexpected choice from the perfumer, and gives this one a leg up on shampoo type Marc Jacobs scents which play it safe from start to finish. The coconut creamy sweet notes remain as the florals appear so the innocent side of this scent never departs, but it might not be enough to redeem this scent for those who were depending on this fragrance being almost entirely gourmand. If you are a true floral lover, don't expect anything challenging here, just a green tropical bouquet framed with creamy smooth milkshakes.

A beautiful blend of floral and milky coconut. The dry down becomes very soft and creamy. I like this fragrance a lot.

I wanted to like this because the notes look very promising. I really liked the initial spray but once it dries down on your skin it gets a bit powdery. Definitely smells sweet which I like but the powderyness is what kills it for me

miraclemilk

i loveee this fragrance! its such a stark difference to other floral ones i own. dolce garden is strong and thick in comparison to lighter florals that fade before you know it.
