K by Dolce & Gabbana by Dolce&Gabbana is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for men. K by Dolce & Gabbana was launched in 2019. K by Dolce & Gabbana was created by Daphné Bugey and Nathalie Lorson. Top notes are Juniper Berries, Citruses, Blood Orange and Sicilian Lemon; middle notes are Pimento, Lavender, Clary Sage and Geranium; base notes are Vetiver, Cedar and Patchouli.

"K by Dolce&Gabbana is a fragrance that captures the essence of a man in his element. He is the king of his everyday life. He follows his own path, cherishing his family and loved ones above all else. Effortlessly charming, and not afraid to show his vitality, he remains true to his roots, respecting tradition while embracing modernity."

The opening notes of the composition include sparkling blood orange, pressed Sicilian lemon and juniper berries. The heart reveals the pimento essence combined with clary sage, geranium and lavandin, while the base is woody and masculine combining the cedarwood, vetiver and patchouli accords.

The fragrance is available as a 50ml Eau de Toilette and 100ml eau de Toilette followed with matching body care products.

THE BARBER SHOP SMELLS, THE PERFORMANCE IS IN THE PLACES

Zenith Corvus

I’m amazed by how underrated K is. This is such a nice fragrance.

Although ‘fresh citrus’ fragrances aren’t anything new or groundbreaking, K is still very likeable. The blood orange and juniper berries contribute to K’s aromatic, fresh, and even sweet accords. The opening is very pleasant and invites you to a smooth and alluring citrus scent.

The only downside of K is the sillage. Although the fragrance lasts surprisingly long (just over 10 hours), it stops projecting very quickly, turning K into a skin scent after 1-2 hours of applying.

So, because of the weak projection and the aforementioned accords, K is ideal to wear during hot days. Just a quick spray to help you relax and freshen up. However, it shouldn't stop you from wearing K during colder days as well.

In a few words, K is a pleasant, alluring, non-offensive, refreshing fragrance.

Trueblood84

I don't get the hate on this one, it's a really nice blue fragrance, and is priced fairly well. It performs well off my skin, and I love the blood orange note it should be used more often.

ShinningLightOfThunder

Your typical men’s scent - pleasant but totally generic. Perfect for office.

spyturtle

I’ve smelled this on several occasions, never thought quite much of it, just a decent everyday blue cologne smell. Until today I decided I’d actually wear it — pleasantly surprised. After a few minutes the scent developed into something different than what I thought this smelled like. It’s a fresh, bright citrusy aromatic smell, very much a summer scent (to my nose). I find it uplifting and almost luxurious smelling, definitely better than my initial impressions!

Can’t make any conclusions on performance just yet, as of now it seems to have a moderate to small projection; longevity TBD. Overall though, better than I expected.

Edit: comment from @Jewmack definitely tracks. Don’t judge this one based on the initial opening.

Perfect for a gym.splash a lot

haydoucraycray

personally hate this juice. makes me sick and is very boring.

Aditya chatterjee

What a beautiful fragrance it is 😍, its one of the best release by D&G...its so clean, fresh, elegant , versatile , Dominant 💎

It justify its name "k" 👑 , one of the best blind buy i ever have !! 💌💌💌

Must grab Gem ✨️

Jaysned496

This smells really clean, fresh and perfect for the gym. Definitely a good fragrance to wear when you're going to be out for only a few hours and want to smell good. Not the most interesting scent out there but I feel like it doesn't need to be for what it does imo

creepavenger1981

@Jewmack she's a keeper sir. I find that super sweet and romantic when a girl found out about your hobby and added something of her to it.

javiercruzgh

I love this fragrance but the EDP has rendered it worthless. It does the exact same thing but cranked up to 11 so if you're thinking of getting this fragrance, get the EDP instead and live it up to its fullest.

Jewmack

I am genuinely surprised by this fragrance.
I had ZERO desire to smell it or buy it. I came across it in stores soooooooo many times and just avoided it. I figured it was gonna be too mainstream and smell just like every designer fragrance out there.

Earlier today, a girl I was seeing bought me a bottle of this for my bday. Got home, looked into the bag, and was a little disappointed. She came over and saw my collection a couple years ago and knew I collected fragrances.

I saw this and thought “ugh. This is gonna be so boring.”

Opened the box, sprayed my hand and……

It’s exactly as I thought it was gonna be. Smells just like every other blue designer fragrance. Not bad but not good.

I sprayed my sweater a few times and ran some errands…

And after 45 minutes…
The fragrance evolved.

“HOLY SHIT! This actually smells good.” REALLY good.
I was quite flabbergasted.
It lost that very synthetic citrus smell and evolved into a masculine woody scent which I found VERY pleasant.

Is it worthy of a blind buy?
I don’t know the price of this fragrance, but if you find it around $60. I think it’s certainly worthy of it. Especially if you’re just starting out. I think it’s good for dates, clubs, office, everywhere. Very versatile.

If you think this fragrance doesn't pull woman... look at the perfumers who made it. It's made by 2 woman, they know what smells sexy on a guy trust me. Girls absolutely go crazy for this scent on a man, afterall it is made by woman

logankyle

Been a fan of this scent since its release. Still wear this often and get many compliments when wearing this.

Mitchell Hofmann

this shit is so good like holy smokes this makes me want to punch ms timms in the face because of how masculine it is

You know that "pickle" note that so many complain about with the k line in general?
It is very similar or close enough for a comparison with Polo blue base dna.
Got to admit the new intense edp k has that note (apparently even more ramped up and mixed with heavy lavender). And it is not fantastic. Imo. Smelling off the bottle at least.
You tell me how fantastic or easy to pull off polo blue of any variety probably is. (I've only really had three. The parfum, the original and deep blue.)
Especially with younger persons.

Laliqua

Purple Bon Pari candy 😊

ac393309

The Youtuber ElectroBOOM uses this cologne, it can be seen at 4:43 on his video "Installing an Outlet... For a Toilet Seat?!". Its also a great fragrance, you should buy it.

MisterVillanueva

I got a 100ml tester for 30 dollars, I felt
Like I wasted that … I can barely smell anything ! The opening smells like alcohol and pickles. When it dried down it’s hard to pick up, but smells like grass IMO and citrus. Worst bling buy ever !

H4jdm

This was my first perfume which I bought and started my collection. I bought it upon its release so 2019, it was amazing, fresh and citrusy and perfect for all year round. Easily can be used as a signature scent, it was strong, yet not overpowering to the point you choke people out but to the point where, the scent follows you and you turn heads. I purchased this due to someone I knew who wore this daily and I ended up smelling it from afar so many times. As soon as I got a whiff I knew who it was. Just a phenomenal perfume.

Sticks

Waste of £40 so much better fragrances at that price point way to herbal,

DO NOT BUY,
Just get something like explorer for the price

2/10

Qpa

This is a scent that doesn't upset anyone. It's not super unique but everyone loves it. In Sweden, we call it a middling milk scent. It suits everyone. Everyone likes it. A bit too expensive.

abdallah arafa

its beautiful for summer, not the best, beautiful almost soft smelling citrus

HazeRedux

I was gifted this by my partner’s parents and after having read some of the middling and negative comments about it, was a little worried if still appreciative.

However, I ended up liking this quite a bit. I really enjoy the citrus and woody notes that persist throughout its wear. I also get a delightful bubble gum smell on dry down. It is more on the intimate side but I could still smell it on my skin nearly 12 hours later.

This may just mean I have good skin chemistry with it, but I will be using this as a daily driver during the warmer months, especially since it’s not likely that many others will smell like it. I’ve already gotten some compliments on it and my partner absolutely loves it and says it drives her crazy.

Sticks

I bought thinking it would be a nice back up citrusy/woody fragrance but it just smells like herbs I’ll try it again but so far a waste of money

4.6/10

fartdog

Got comments from my family saying it smells like axe, and I agree. This scent is very plain, lacking any uniqueness. Safe to wear at work I guess but at this price point I would get other fragrances.

Rest Easy

Curious how people are calling this weak.
It's really not at all. I cannot imagine most doing anything like 4 or 5 sprays and not choking people if not themselves out.
Pretty hard to like most times. Occasionally the wind catches it just right or something and it seems to smell better than decent. Modern man sort of thing. Most usually just borderline feelings of 'hope no one hates this too much'.
Sporty, energizing, perhaps asthma inducing for some however. Pretty synthetic mix.
It's strong and not a ton else going on here. From what I'm smelling.
The opening citrus is nice reminds me some of acqua di gio profumo.

Jimbackwards

In one word. Mid. Comparable to dylan blue or fragrances in that nature that just arent special. Doesnt smell bad but doesn’t smell good enough for me to purchase. Maybe the edp is better but this is the type of fragrance that needs a parfum or elixir. 6/10

Takamojo

I love the opening of K EDT. It projects and on my skin it seems to be more airy 🌬and light compared to the EDP. If you wanted to wear a likeable scent that grabs attention without hitting someone in the face. This is the fragrance. I honestly think anyone can wear this.
The opening is sharp and refreshing from the juniper 🫐 and lemon🍋
The drydown is so silky smooth and slightly sweet in a masculine way. It's well blended and one of my favorite designer fragrances.

The Performance for this fragrance is best in hot weather in my opinion but it's versatile. I get around exactly 8 hours at work and 4 - 5 in a hot active environment.
I just happened to make this a beach day 🏖scent because it strangely reminds me of a sweet cocktail 🍹toward the evening 🎑

Best value imo is to get the 5.0 oz (150 ml) bottle or the gift set. It's discounted nicely on most sites.

Wore my K EDT yesterday and I was quickly reminded of how much I love this fragrance ❤️. I have both the EDT and the EDP version of this fragrance because of how well the fragrance does with my skin chemistry. Lots of people hate on it which is fine but for me K will always be in my collection and my wife enjoys it as well 😊💞

Martin_DAYI

Very good performance in indoors. Considering for an EDT, it's very solid.
Very good opening, but after sometime it's citus / sour.

Bruce Wayne III

I tested the EDP version first because I received a sample with a purchase. I didn't like it that much; it smelled like some kind of weird hair product to me. However, it grew on me, especially because of the pimento note, to the point where I decided to take the risk and buy a 50 ml bottle online. The seller sent (erroneously) a bottle of the K EDP version instead. I decided to keep it and made at least 4 side-by-side comparisons of EDP vs. EDT. I would say that both of them are forgettable, a nice idea/concept but poorly executed. Anyway, I think I like EDT a little more than EDP, which I consider an EDT with a fig leaf and a hint of coconut milk note, and a little more longevity. Somehow it makes me think of a hybrid between D&G K EDT and Fusion D'Issey (not surprising since N. Lorson was involved in both fragrances). In summary, both are very similar but with some differences; nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend either of them

ANNAFRYS

I adore this scent.

_Aerides

The opening smells of sweet citrus gummies and dries into a spicy shower gel vibe that stands on its own thanks to the pimento note 🌶️ I detect it a lot from the beginning and once the perfume dries on skin it gives the scent an earthy, savoury and spicy kick along with the patchouli 🥰

It's very sexy, fresh, masculine and projects well, it's very versatile and would work for any setting, signature worth too! This gives me ~boyfriend~ vibes for some reason lol 😜

Laliqua

Like purple Bon Pari candy

Rogerant

I know that this is hated but I absolutely love it. I have a lot of blue fragrances and I have worn this more than the others combined. On a hot summers day it's beautiful in fact I prefer thus to the edp light and airy perfect summer vibes

pilotdc

Not a bad fresh, slightly spicy blue frag. Performance isn't really there on me. Won't last through half a shift in the outdoors, but does last longer indoors. Overspraying may help but I can't do that with my sample. If this works for you, rock it.

WizBusiness

I really want to like this. It's a fresh, bitter, sharp, green shower gel kinda vibe. But I don't like the pimento note in this. It adds an extra layer of earthy bitterness to an otherwise fresh and fairly unique blue fragrance that ruins it for me.

Piggy41510

Just got my 3.4oz of this in today and I couldn't be happier 😁. I know this isn't a well liked fragrance but I love this juice for the summer 🏝️🌞. This fragrance just radiates off of my skin!! I'm talking 10+ hours easy when I spray my clothes. Not that I seek compliments but they come unsolicited when I wear this and it's not a overpowering scent at all. And for 50.00$ I think it's a good deal for what it is!!

Piggy41510

I love that most people hate this fragrance!!! I discovered K during the early days of the pandemic, and this fragrance pops off of my skin!! Projects like crazy!!! And I get 8+hours 🔥🔥 out of this stuff. I also have the EDP and it's similar but a bit richer and smooth. This fragrance will always be in my collection regardless of who says what! I buy what I like and love not what the reviewers tell me to buy on YouTube!!! GTFOH!!!!

Filosykos

Don't believe the negative comments. It smells richer and is classier than other blue style fragrances. Performance is above average with surprisingly good projection. No need for the edp.

meowjaz

my boyfriend's main fragrance lol - very woody and very masculine! smells rlly good on him :)

on my skin, the lavender and chilli pepper notes are especially recognisable! for some reason, i dont pick up the citrus in the opening - but that may be because i don't have much experience with citrus perfumes yet lol. however this is a pretty generic masculine frag; a scent you would expect when you think of a men's cologne - nothing that groundbreaking.

longevity is okay - 4 hours and i can still smell traces when i put my nose to my skin

overall a nice masculine scent !

PapaTLooch

I feel like this could have been really good had it not leaned as far into generic shower gel territory.

Psalzarulo

An intensely alcoholic first spray quickly turns into a very green, slightly lavender top and middle note. Even though are are mutliple citrus notes, this is absolutely an aromatic, green scent with a good amount of clean/fresh blended into it.

It's not a bad scent at all, but I'm a bit biased against it as I generally don't care for green scents.

I think the notes are a bit muted which makes it less interesting but much more accessible for near everyday/temperature use. If I really liked it I would pay $60, but even then it doesn't stand out from other green scents at this price point.

There's really nothing wrong with it. I wouldn't wear this but if someone else was I wouldn't mind. 7/10 for me.

IceMell

At the opening, I smelled just a touch of citrus, but nothing else. And it was so faint I was sure it was going to be a skin scent I didn't even notice. And then a few minutes later the mid notes started warming up, and I began smelling a sweet citrus, mild chili pepper and lavender scent with just a hint of coolness from the cedar and sage combo while the vetiver is present, too. The projection really picked up at that point to 1 - 2 feet. In the dry down for me the citrus was all but gone, but the florals, pimento and woods hung around and projection stayed at about a foot until the 4-hour mark. Skin scent a couple of more hours and then gone. Spraying on clothing (which I typically do) definitely helps get the longevity closer to 6 hours, but still, past the one-hour mark, I'm not getting more than a foot of projection.

Have to admit that when i sprayed it on, I was sure I was going to be able to dismiss this as "meh", but then the mid kicked in and that spicy, cedar-vetiver combo presented a slightly different take on blue for me. Wouldn't even consider this on a cool day, but in high heat, it stands up well. The pepper and woods are milder here than in the EDP, so the EDT could be more likeable to those around you. Overall, though, I personally prefer the smell of the EDP. The pepper and wood notes are much stronger and the EDP is slightly less sweet, even though the EDT isn't overly sweet either. Note that some think the EDP is a "pickle scent". At retail this is a "no, way" for me, but at discounter prices, it's not a bad option.

Omphemetse7000

Smells really good for spring and summer. The only down side is the performance which is about 2 hours on skin.

HDMIPlayer

The opening notes to this are fantastic. It quickly fades into the heart and base notes and nearly disappears at three hours on my skin. One of the shortest-lived fragrances I've ever worn and was barely noticeable by those around me--even after I asked.

Olayemi1

smell gorgeous

bendi005

I bought it in TKMaxx in Vienna, I really liked it as it has citrus tones. It was longlasting and intense, however I wouldn't pay the full price for it.

CzarSalad

My roommate had purchased a bottle for his summer scent and let me try it. Totally fine, a fairly average light scent that dissipates fairly quickly. The crown suggests its fit for a king but it would be more fitting for some lower heraldry.

binbabalu

I really like K EDT and EDP. I dismissed them for a couple years cause I listened to other people online. Same with CK Defy EDT and EDP....Very similar in profile and quality. At discount prices, this is a steal, all are easy to wear, good performance, not going to blow up a room, versatile, I think different than the other blues.....DEFY EDP with the leather is awesome, K EDP is awesome but heavy for heat, EDT perfect for anyone looking for an easy to wear, non-offensive and different...Most people do not wear a scent, if they do, its Y EDP, Dior Sauv, Chanel Blue, Polo Blue.......Eros etc....This does it's own thing, great value and fits any age, maybe more mature.

LAboy scent expert

I don't know why, I know is basic and not complex,, but I love it on my skin and some how, has like a santal 33 vibes on my PH,,

NotThe"DHI"Guy

Smells like shampoo, simple as that! If you literally want to smell like you’ve taken a bath, go for it

Johnsie

Fresh, summery vibe in a bottle perfect for the gym, beach or just lazing around the house

EosKaiAstraea

Not deserving of all the hate it gets at all, really good citrusy fresh fragrance at the price at discounters. Comes across quite naturally to the nose, nothing really poking out as synthetic.

Don't feel like going too deep into detail though, this is made redundant by Ambra Calabria as I'd class them both as zesty citruses but Ambra has far more depth with the amber and everything else it has going for it. Not that they should be compared at all, for obvious reasons, but the zesty green-ness of the bergamot and other top notes reminded me most directly of my bottle of Ambra Calabria. Similar kind of experience you get with Nio as well, minus the neroli.

Great fragrance but not sure it does enough unique to really fit the grandiosity of kinghood. Definitely just K. Gonna need a few good flankers to get us to King of anything, but I'm confident D&G can do it. Haven't had the chance to try it yet but I imagine Light Blue Summer Vibes has to be a better fresh green citrus than this, not that that's saying much.

Brazybrandoni

I really wanted to like this fragrance at first or comes off decent but after a while the dry down has pickle scent to it

gbreier10s

I feel this fragrance gets a lot of unwarranted hate. While it isn’t groundbreaking by any means, most other blue fragrances aren’t. For people who are averse to Vetiver I wouldn’t recommend this fragrance as off my skin the Vetiver cedar combo is very prominent. The citrus in this is lively, gives a good underlying sweetness and lasts quite a while. The longevity and projection of my skin are both a bit above average. For the price from discounters as compared to other blue scents this fragrance is a great deal and will easily pull compliments. No one will find it offensive in anyway and girls seem to love it. A solid solid pickup

Piggy41510

This fragrance will always be in my rotation 🤩 I'm fully aware of all the hate that this fragrance receives. D&G K is just a perfect match for my skin chemistry 🧪, and I'm happy that so many people hate it because that's just more for me☺️ I buy what I love and no one else's opinion matters.

stephendd

I've had this fragrance for a bit now. I have only worn it once. And for good reason. The fragrance offers little to no longevity on my skin which is no fault of the company but that isn't my biggest gripe. My biggest issue with this fragrance is how generic and simple it smelt. When I first tried on K, I really thought, is this it? It reminds me of one of the shower creams I have used in the past and just doesn't differentiate itself from that. With that being said, this fragrance is mediocre at best and my rating reflects this.

5/10 at most.

chrisk252

Pleasant citrus woody aromatic with a sweet juniper twist. Mass appealing, a bit generic, but versatile and pleasant. Not the most natural, has typical modern designer mass appealing synthetics. Could be cloying in hot weather because of the sweetness. Nice and a like but definitely not a love.

Scent: 6.5 / Sillage: 7.5 / Longevity: 7

BallSniffer

On my second occasion wearing this fragrance, I received a compliment from a stranger on the street who asked about the scent I was wearing. Despite any negative reviews, in my opinion, this fragrance smells excellent, exuding a masculine aroma and lasting well throughout the day. Therefore, do not let the opinions of other individuals on this site deter you from experiencing this fantastic fragrance for yourself.

SammerPharaoh

I consider this low rating and all that hate as how mass opinion oriented by Jeremy and gent scents thoughts
K eau de toilette is absolutely gorgeous, nothing more nothing less

erika.isme.98

This could've been so nice if half the notes were taken out. I thought it was lovely in the store but once I smelled it on someone's skin after an hour, the citrus dissipated into somewhat of a stinking spiced lavender. The juniper berries in the opening and the cedar base are truly the saving grace of this EDT.

Addjscents

I bought this after buying d&g the one edt. I was not impressed by this much. There was some bitter element in this that I didn’t like much. I ended up selling it.

Dumbplings

Don't smell this on paper is my best advice to people, spray it on yourself and enjoy the sillage. This is such a lovely juniper fragrance, the juniper is the star of the show here and the citrus and pimento just bringing out some freshness and some warmth. But don't smell it on paper because it changes the scent quite a lot and sadly most people will only spray this on test strip in store and judge it before actually getting a proper spray on themselves and wearing it like it's supposed to be worn

This is not a teenagers blue type scent, this is a real mans woody scent. It's made for men not little boys

FirstSense

The pimento used in this D&G frag is a mistake. This could be a very nice Mediterranean spicy citrus. But the pepperi smell killed this frag for me. And the bottle is so nice. With that cute crown. Such a shame.

samudex

Base notes reminds me to blue jeans but with a slightly soft twist. It's nice. I would recommend it.

allenb83

I don't smell any orange, cedar, vetiver, or sage in this one at all. The other notes are prominent. Mostly the geranium and juniper berries are most noticeable. And geranium usually gives me an instant headache. Its almost like a fresh linen scent with a slight headache inducing geranium smell.

Hari2023

Gabbana K is my second most favourite in the Gabbana family, after Gabbana One. Yet "K" lives up to its King image. I love it since the first sniff. It is long lasting and smells fresh. It does not smell cheap. It blends well in the spring and Autumn. I did not disappoint and I am certain you would not either.

Glennard

For some reason I keep smelling dill in this one. Which I love as a food. Not as a personal fragrance, though. This is a pass for me

Edit: I went back and grabbed a travel size bottle. It performs really well and by the end of it I was picking up more juniper than dill. Wondering if I can get my nose to adjust to the smell through familiarity

ZDML22

This was my first ever fragrance purchase. Smelled it at a Kohl's and I thought; "OMG, this is a 10/10, I need this."
Now as my nose has been familiarizing more scents in the fragrance world, I see where it does stand. I like this scent. But I can't find myself saying that I love it, nor find myself wanting for a second purchase of 'K' at the moment. It's good for casual lifestyle like getting lunch, going to work, or walking around shops, BUT during the year's warmer daytimes. This is not a choice to use on nighttime activities.
6.5-7 out of 10.

silvs16

An amazing scent with its mix of aromatics, citrus, and cedar wood. A very professional fragrance that can easily be worn to work or school. This scent does not get enough love

Za__y

this fragrance gets a disproportionate amount of hate... like wayy too much hate. I don't understand the comments calling this a 'grandma' type fragrance, it's simply not true, for me anyways. I love how the fragrance develops over time. I would not have this as my only fragrance, but it is a nice change from the usual notes that you find in mens perfumery. The projection and longevity are decent for a summer fragrance. It is not unique in a sense, but it is crowd pleasing, and smells nice to most noses.
It's fresh, clean, elegant, and I don't see it as an odd fragrance, and although it is not an ultra masculine scent, a man can rock this just fine. Maybe a young, energetic and and extroverted teen? It's a safe choice, not annoying in projection. Apparently the perfume version is better?

actual-working-nose

OH NO! IT SMELLS LIKER A MASS APPEALING SHOWERGEL FRAGRANCE THAT'S OBVIOUSLY BLUE-GREEN. how AWFUL!?!?

Very vibrant, clean, sharp and showergel-y green-blue-ish fragrance. Certified mass appeal.

Gents Scents didn't like it, so you already know most of the negative comments here are his fanboys. Btw, I dig Gents Scents, but it's very obvious.

Some dude here managed to say the ads and bottle ruined this fragrance for him/her. How weak are you mentally? Jesus. You probably bought Sauvage because of Johnny Deppp. Who give a flying shit? Does your nose see your bottle and ad campaign when it smells the fragrance? Weirdo

Some dude said "awful smell". Oh yeah, mass appealing showergel scents are "awful" and not widely regarded as good.

Stop being clowns. You're literally not normal if you think a scent like this smells bar. Sure, don't like it or love it. But "bad, awul"? Weird ass noses.

I get a lot of fragrance samples for myself and my sons, and this was my favourite of all the men's new releases up to August this year, when I bought it for my younger's birthday. He loves it, and gets compliments when he wears it. It works on a younger modern man, which I don't think it would on someone more mature. To me, lavender and sage have never been better in a male fragrance.

kdzu

Chopping down citrus trees, less blue than green. Assertive.

XOXO_marcel

Pimento, juniper berry, and lavender - that's what I get from this. I'm not a fan of the bottle, but the fragrance itself is nice! I could see this as a safe choice for any sort of conservative environment (office, wedding, etc.), although I have to say, the pimento gives it a unique kick.

Piggy41510

Can't understand why this fragrance gets so much hate? I have a great experience each time I wear this . I own the EDT and the EDP 😊 for me the EDT is very nice and I get 8 to 10+ hours on my skin!!! And if I hit my clothes with it, I'm looking at all day projection!!! Most people in the fragrance world hate it but I love it❤️

GURSAHIB

Strong fragrance and long lasting on my skin and clothes.

Scent 7/10
Projection 8.5/10
Long lasting 9/10
Bottle 10/10

GibFragrance93

Where do I start with this fragrance?

Firstly it is a perfectly serviceable scent and does not smell bad. It is the epitome of a shower gel scent. I tested both the EDT and EDP and, to my nose, they both smell almost exactly the same other than the EDP may be slightly richer and woodier (just as a true EDP should be), but the differences are negligible. As soon as I tested this it smelt like any other sporty shower gel. Now, I do believe there is a place in any fragrance wardrobe for a scent like this. If one day you don't particularly fancy wearing a fragrance and just want to smell like you're fresh out of the shower, this will do. This will also work perfectly as a gym scent or for any occasion you just don't want to offend anyone. I work shifts and this would work perfectly when I start a morning shift at 6am and really don't want to offend any colleagues with a loud ambroxan or sweet gourmand fragrance at such early hours. It is perfectly versatile.

However, my issue with this fragrance is this. It has no character whatsoever. If I wear a fragrance, it is to enhance my scent, to add character and depth to my appearance. There are many fragrances that can do exactly what 'K' does, however does it with some style and character. Versace Pour Homme stands out particularly in this instance. A clean, fresh, inoffensive, versatile scent DNA, just like 'K', however it has character, it has a personality. Something that the 'K' line just does not have.

Oli G

I have a sample of this, and I also own a clone fragrance from a small but reputable clone company where I live which makes superb 1-to-1 clones. In terms of scent profile, K EDT is really surprisingly good. I could easily see this as being very mass appealing. It's got a masculine, fresh, gym bag, deodorant or shower gel sporty smell- with it's own DNA and character.

In terms of performance: The real sample of K I have is weak in longevity and performance, whereas the copy I have is excellent. So I'd say if you can get a good quality clone of K with good performance, it's a great scent profile so go for it. It's also a statement to designer houses, they need to up their game to match clone companies and middle eastern clone houses. The designers charge too much for average presentation and often lackluster performance, that needs to change.

I always disregarded this even to test it out seeing all the reviews and the tacky bottle I was sure it would be really something generic. Lately I just said what the heck and sprayed. Not sure if my expectations were so low, or if I really like the scent, but this is by no means as generic as one might think based on reviews! No way...And I will try to write this review based on the notes/thoughts evoked in my mind while smelling outside right after spraying to my forearm without even looked at the official notes.

My first thought, as mentioned few times, was a bubble-gummy juicy opening over the modern aromatic fougere accord (reference point is Fierce or Legend for me so we are talking about the Dihydromyrcenol with its bergamot-lavender note, tonka-oakmoss for the classic barbershop note). I am not sure if the gummy juicy note coming from some pineapple ingredient, but I would assume so, something like Allyl Amyl Glycolate and/or Dynascone that we famously know from Aventus. There's a nice touch of sandalwood, which I stopped smelling shortly after as sandalwood ingredients tend to be hard to smell. I didn't think of any soapy vibe, but just a nice twist on the fougere and maybe de-maturized by the fruity accord.

Then the whole fragrance rounded up in one note for me: Galbanum. If you ever smelled galbanum, it has this sharp green, but also unripe pineapple-ish juicy note that dries down to a mastic gum/resin note. I do think the body of this fragrance is a fruity twist of galbanum and pineapple. Would be very curious to see an analysis of this fragrance actually, this note is not a "generic" one for sure. Put this in a MFK Gentle "Greenity"(!) bottle as a new release and fragrance connoisseurs(!) here would lose their minds.

The mid-drydown starts to evolve another surprising facet which I was not expecting at all. Call me crazy, but the famous Chanel patchouli-citrus accord is showing its face in a very naked, simple form. Here I thought this would smell amazing on a woman at spring-summertime. That Chanel Chance, Coco Mademoiselle kind of drydown, with a juicy mastic gum blanket over it. Anyway, summary is the drydown is perfectly unisex, almost feminine. Another fragrance I thought of, was Comme des Garçon's Concrete. People always say Concrete smells more like a sandalwoody Coca-Cola, which I agree, but I get the same galbanum-mastic gum kind of note there too. I'll compare side by side next time.

I don't think this is an Ambroxan (or likes) bomb too. I think people are abusing now in reviews having an illusion of everything has either Ambroxan or Iso E Super overdose. Yes these ingredients are used commonly, and yes they can be overdosed in comfort but these are not the ingredients that you can easily pick-up in every fragrance they are used. So even if there's a huge dose of Ambroxan in K, it is not sticking out that's for sure. I even go further to say that what most people think as Ambroxan or Iso E Super are actually neither but more likely another popular ingredient they never heard of or a combination of ingredients.

So in short, good daily use fragrance that is not generic at all in my opinion, and one a green color would suit more.

Love how this scent parts public opinion. That’s the best thing about this site - seeing things from someone else’s viewpoint.

And anyone putting people down or claiming they’re wrong because of a difference of opinion is missing a great opportunity to understand someone else’s perspective. Step back for a moment and think before you type.

I love this scent. My bottle is 2 years old (EDT) and it’s got a beastly performance. Spring, summer and early fall. It also works well in winter, but needs heat for it to show its full potential.

I can see how it might be off-putting for people with different tastes and skin DNA. I also understand that some smells evoke negative emotions or non-pleasing memories. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It makes this community what it is.

chipclip501

smells like my grandma‘s hair when I kiss her forehead

The notes tell a story.
Aventus goes to the mall.

damdamboy

I just bought a new bottle because I used up the old one and the smell is totally weak. The smell is the same and everything but longevity is max one hour.

Danose4frag

The Ambroxan note you smell is actually Clary Sage.

SomebodyToKnow

A very elegant shower gel fragrance with a dynamic base of ambroxan, vetiver and cedar. Longevity is around 6 hours and moderate projection of around 2 hours, then it becomes a skin scent but it is still noticeable. 8/10.

Malamoff

I was really surprised when i saw the rating of this frag. I really like it especially for summer and spring, but definitely can be used on warmer autumn days. Maybe not the first choice for blue frag, but worth the money.

SprayLove

I've worn this one a lot during last summer (2021) when I met the woman of my life who became my wife during the year. She really liked this one and I was also rocking it with favor.

More than these memories of it, it's also one of the fragrances that was pretty talked about when it was released and was a letdown to everyone when it was released. I wasn't. The chili pepper note is amazing. It has a bit of a hairy chest type of vibe, kind of a action hero vibe too but it's K for King so it works! It has kind of a throwback modernized vibe and it's a perfect beach scent. The citruses are amazing, sicilian lemon and blood orange, the kind of nice citruses you find in the Light Blue line too.

I absolutely love it.

Metaleagle73

I remember when it first came out a lady @ Dillards was handing out samples & immediately sprayed it on my wrist.
I liked it & it gave me a slight Sauvage hint to it, not that it smelled similar but manly & spicy & fresh... gentleman like not for teenies.
I waited since I had just received Dior Sauvage & wanted to wait for a probable discount or good sale on it.
I definitely don't get the shower gel vibe from it, it is fresh, slight spice & on dry down it's incense off my skin.
A clean, sophisticated manly fresh scent.
Even though Ive seen the best reviewers I still wanted to own it & on father's day I got to experience it again. In the same style as Givenchy Gentleman Only, which is amazing also.
Can't speak much about the endurance of it since even some of my more expensive frags die down eventually.

Dumbplings

All the hate for this fragrance...all I can say is it's not for everyone but it's not generic and it's not a bad scent at all.

Don't be tricked by all these bad reviews...because honestly it smells just like Mr Burberry Indigo & Ralph Lauren Deep Blue and even comparable with fragrances like aqua di gio profondo with that juniper note in it.

Okay so here's where the "controvery" comes into play...Opening can fool most people that test it in store because at first sniff you may think it's a typical blue fragrance. But give it some time and come back to smell it more and train your nose to this scent. You will start to smell the green notes in here (there's a lot of green in here)...and you will start to smell the spice (which mainly actually comes from vetiver not even the pimento)

So it's heavy on the Juniper, Heavy on the vetiver what you get is green & spicy woody smell...However then you have this gorgeous fresh blue top notes and freshness that balances everything together perfectly. It does smell unique because the only fragrances that smell like it are Mr Burberry indigo & Ralph Lauren Deep blue and even those are completely different from this. And i've heard people say Rochas L'homme smells like this but I haven't tried that one and i'm doubtful of those claims

This is one of those fragrances that is hated for no reason other than saying "it smells generic"...and they say it's spicy but honestly every fragrance is spicy these days in some type of way even sauvage is peppery, invictus victory is peppery, code absolu is spicy, spicebomb extreme is spicy, etc.....So don't be put off if it says it's spicy because it's great.

Even people that say Sauvage is generic have no idea what they're talking about...sauvage was quite unique actually and the clones still smell way different like coach platinum (vanilla) and prada luna rossa carbon (soapy)....Popularity doesn't mean it's not unique. It just means it's popular so everyone wears it. Unique meaning there isn't many other fragrances that smell the same..

Let me just tell you this fragrance gets you compliments and it's extremely sexy, even if you don't personally like it just try it on the streets and around woman and watch their reactions. Only negative is you need to spray a lot on you like overspray yourself to get the best performance

LadyIva

Not much to say about this one - it's a crowd-pleasing masculine fragrance, even more generic than the ubiquitous Sauvage and its countless clones. Even though K is not expensive, I think that its RRP is too high, because similar scents can be bought from Zara for a few quid.

JetBlvck

I stayed away from this one for awhile, since it wasn’t at all worth its retail price or even what it’s been going for at discounters. However, I found a 100 ml for $30 at Ross so I figured it’s definitely worth that price point. It’s nothing special though, it fits the standard clean smelling/blue-like fragrance which is what they were going for. I will say, the juniper berries is a nice touch and makes it a bit different from others in its category. However this one was definitely made to be mass appealing, especially to the younger crowd. With that said, anyone can get away with wearing this one because of its fresh clean smell.

As for the performance and sillage, it isn’t the greatest, It radiates and lingers subtly for a few hours. It won’t be assaulting anyones senses as you go about your day, which is perfect for the warmer climate. I’d say If you can find it for around the same price that I did, it’s a good safe buy that’s perfect for an everyday, office, &/or gym scent. If you have to pay anything more than $40 -$50!for a 100 ml then I’d pass on this one, they’re plenty of other D&G and other designer fragrances that are better at that price point

Great fragrance. Very masculine and I like that. Love the advertisement. Great way to price the family values and the role of the men in family! Love it!

Rogerant

I don't know why but I love this fragrance. I really connect with it that I wasn't expecting. Bought it cheaply tried the parfum and ut was so heavy.
Anyways its got a blue vibe lots of citrus orange in the opening. I love it when it dries down smooth with a touch of ambroxan to my nose. You get little whiff from your skin for a good while and longer on clothes considering its edt.
Wear this to the office and always gets a good reaction. I much prefer this to the one and even light blue intense. Will definitely buy another bottle

Asca Naca

I don't understand the hate that K gets. I feel like it's just popular to hate on. Many people describe it as "generic" or "boring" but I find that it is actually quite unique. I don't have anything else that smells like this does. Sure, I would agree that it doesn't last all that long but I really enjoy it while it does last. K EDP is better in longevity and I wish that I would have got one instead for that reason. It also has a richer, deeper, and more mature smell than the EDT. This one does well in the spring and summer.

Stoopid Phresh

This smells sooop cheap, this is like Taka Vodka of quality lol-
This smells like something that would fit some latin guy named Paco with slick hair

Dumbplings

For a fresh fragrance, this is surprisingly unique and has character.

I wanted to hate this because I don't like spicy or green fragrances, but that opening is seriously good. But the dry down...well not so much. On paper test strip, this smells horrible...but on skin it's quite nice

Starts off with an obvious blood orange & slightly green scent, very citrus in the opening and way fresher than I was expecting. It would almost trick you into thinking it's a blue fragrance in the opening but until that green and spice comes through then it's clear this is more of a green fragrance. I smell a lot of juniper and vetiver in the dry down with that blood orange which makes it green and spicy. Like someone else said it's quite peppery too which vetiver usually does have a bit of pepperiness to it but this is amplified the pepperiness of the vetiver by adding pimento which is completely unnecessary since the vetiver naturally has it.

This is a nice fragrance though, it flew under my radar and I kinda just wrote it off like it was going to be really bad and it didn't get much love in the fragrance community but it deserves more love than it gets especially since for a fresh fragrance it's unique and has character it's not so generic.

I would call this an underrated scent, but at the same time I can see where the hate comes from maybe it's the pepper/spicyness or maybe it's the performance...or maybe they don't like green notes. All of them would be fair enough, as it's a subjective fragrance not mass appealing and for a designer they took a risk not going with a mass appealing route but more designer fragrance need to take risks.

I'd kinda put this in the wearable but reach for something else instead category, i'd wear it but i'd reach for a better fragrance over this most the time.

Also I love the bottle and the lid is seriously awesome, so bonus points for the bottle and lid

diceman55

Mjchaelj

This fragrance is so odd, it opens up with a strong juniper, it smells a little mature but very intriguing. A few minutes later it turns into a citrus scent. The performance is also not the best but it smells good. For this type of fragrance I would prefer Sauvage or Dylan Blue.

7/10

caifan

Dolce & Gabbana K is an aromatic and fresh fragrance.

The output has a bitter citrus scent that soon gives way to a coniferous herbal accord, where I think the juniper is the one that produces that sensation and is the main scent of this fragrance. After a few minutes, a slightly aquatic base can be perceived with just a little sweetness, without any further changes in its development.

K is a fragrance that gives a sensation of cleanliness and masculine freshness, which makes it ideal to wear in the office. It is not a bad fragrance, it is modern and no too "generic" but I feel that something is missing to be a breakthrough fragrance.

Its longevity in me was greater than 12 hours. without much sillage.

thattequilaguy

Smells a bit like Lemon Pledge, other fragrances do a much better job with their lemon notes. On my skin, the dry down is very faint and doesn’t last too long. Never been complimented wearing this even though I’ve worn it plenty of times

Denimtuxedo

Most unique designer smell out there. You'll either love, or hate this. If you love it, you're in for a great ride. This is also the longest lasting EDT designer out there. I think that's the only reason it reminds people of sauvage, because the longevity rivals or beats it. If you spary it on clothes, it will seriously last a week. The fact they made an EDP is ridiculous. Stick with the EDT.

ajoseph2004

way too peppery... not for me

Bfreepro417

I rediscovered this and me today… super glad I did. Ended up buying 100ml.

I remember when it first came out and they were giving out samples with purchases at the department stores and what not, I hated it. I remember being excited and not know anything about what notes it had or any previous knowledge, and it smelled just like a laundry room with chemical cleaner/detergent and dryer sheets. It did feel Sauvage-esque, to me if absolutely falls into the same category.

I tried it again today, first the EDP because it receives near unanimous praise, and then the EDT. EDP was fine, but the EDT really was perfect. It’s already a fairly dense and spicy fragrance, and the EDP was just too thick (I find this with a lot of fragrances, where the community and forums just shit on the EDT versions but unanimously praise the EDP, like YSL Y, Sauvage, now this. To me, it’s the opposite honestly).

Anyway, this is a nice mix of fresh/soapy qualities and underlying spice to get it depth. It’s really nice. Definitely has a fresh/clean showered type smell at first, and leaves a great scent cloud. I find this lasts a very long time and is quite strong. The drydown has a familiar feeling… it’s definitely got a dryer sheet vibe, which sauvage also has, except sauvage is so much more scratchy and piercing. This is fluffy and soapy, and alot more smooth.

The “reminds me” section is exactly that: stating which fragrances it reminds us of. It doesn’t mean they smell the same or even remotely the same, to me it means they fall in a similar category and possibly give a similar feeling or vibe. If I had this on one arm and sauvage on the other, I could easily say they smell NOTHING alike. But if I know what sauvage smells like already, and I smell K EDT on one arm and Light Blue on the other, K definitely warrants being compared to sauvage in this scenario. Blue, fresh/tangy citrus opening, and an underlying thickness/spice that gives it a sort of scratchy/puffy dryer sheet type vibe. Boom.

I do find this to be the best Blue style fragrance I’ve tried, by far. It’s just more pleasing to me and shaves off all the rough, ambroxan-y edges of the others. Still, if you don’t like Blues, probably avoid this one :)

obssessedsniffer

Hated this for the longest time. But its perfect for a warm spring day.

Jmiles

went to Macy’s and made a bunch of test strips and quickly brought them home for my wife to smell. She wanted to pick out a fragrance to get me for Christmas. Well, she picked D&G K. And quite honestly, at first I was disappointed. I didn’t like it. But suddenly after about five wears of it, I’m in love. Yep, it’s one of those. So give it a few tries.

Side Note: I’m beginning to think that a good amount of people that use this site have Dior Sauvage permanently stuck in their nostrils. I see so many frangrances being compared to it. “This is basically sauvage with ______.” Or “I noticing many similarities to sauvage.” What?! Lol. This fragrances does NOT smell like sauvage. Nor does the other fragrance I just read reviews for, Coach Platinum. All three are very different, and all good in their own right.

ryanok21

The dry down is good but it's too soapy for my liking.

antoniov

My husband tried this one and when I smelled it it felt like smelling shaving foam (the old one, in a spray bottle). I prefer the Blue by Chanel on him.

Invasionbg

I don't understand why big companies create so many great fragrances, but they make them weak...
Anyway, will wear the hell at of my bottle, but I won't buy again due to very bad performance and longevity 😓

ckorp8

Tried this at the local counter and it reminded me too much of Sauvage EDT which I don’t particularly like. But if it were to be more like the Elixir version I might enjoy it better. The blood orange take on this one it too acidic for me.

PradaGodFatha

Initial spray smells like Wrigleys Juicy Fruit Gum. The drydown is my favorite part, which smells like very modern and unique masculine soapy bubble bath. I love it

Lex11180

The spicy blood orange that makes up the majority of this fragrance ultimately to me just smells like body odor.

Buysblind

I probably have to spend a little more time with K, but my immediate impressions after one day’s wear were surprisingly positive and not really in line with its dreary 3.44 rating at all. I found K to smell downright nice and best of all, fairly unique with its take on a blood Orange opening note that quickly pairs up with pimento spiced clary sage. I often don’t get a lot of the notes that are mentioned in a fragrance’s pyramid l, but here with K I actually do, particularly the three somewhat uncommon ones I mentioned above. I have another clary sage heavy fragrance in Gai Matiolo’s Uomo, but it’s almost too overbearing there. K uses just the right portion of it in the sense that it’s present and noticeable without strangling the rest of the scent. I don’t really know how to describe clary sage to someone whose never smelled it before, but the best way I can say it is like a slightly spicier, fuzzier and even a little sweeter version of basil. Paired here with blood orange and pimento it ramps up the spice while adding a fruity citrus quality to it as well. It works, in my opinion, and while there’s nothing drop dead amazing about K, it’s a unique take on the modern fresh variety which has ultimately become the antithesis of unique…so there’s something to be said for it there. Performance is good. I think I prefer to err on the lighter side with this one as the aromachemicals get a little out of hand if I go heavy and then they start to bother me. But a light application of two sprays smells really nice. Suitable as daily wear or perhaps a signature scent for someone playing it safe. Final rating, a satisfied 7.5/10.

CodyJr

I have over 150 frags. This is one of my favorites. Also the only one that ever got me a compliment! (5 hours after spraying..Opening is a luxurious yet approachable fresh juniper Yl/blood orange with a nice clean and dry patchouli note in the heart. Definately unique but not a powerhouse. Subtle isn't always bad! The edp is more "buttery" but this could be an everyday wear. Year round.

Likeablesauce21

God, what can I say… my favourite cologne to this day. It has a nice sweet but manly aroma, great scent and above average performance. I get a solid 8 hours of performance. Price is great for this legendary scent in my opinion.

Alexmate

Fragrance In Three Words: Citrus and Ambroxan

This one starts with a sharp citrus utilising blood orange and lemon. It reminded me a bit of a gin and tonic.

It dries down to a ton of ambroxan, lavender and chocolate patchouli. With a dry finish. It reminds me slightly of Le Mâle Le Parfum (2020) combining a bit of edible gourmand and a barbershop fougere.

I think this is a very safe office fragrance and a sexy clubbing fragrance which would get tons of compliments, I just find it boring. It's the James Corden of Saturday Night TV: boring, obnoxious and loud. These days I prefer Bill Murray; a bit of understated class.

Tech Specs: Price in the UK (EdT, Gold Crown, October 2021) is £77 for 100ml this puts it on par with Dior Homme (EdT) and some of the mainline Chanel (Allure Homme, Egoiste). Longevity was good at 6 hours+.

Keep in mind this review is based on a smell from a test strip at my local macy’s and not on my skin.

It is definitely a masculine smell and great for warmer weather. I think it's a great mass appealing fragrance as the smell is quite inoffensive. However, because of it's mass appealing nature, I feel that it's more of a generic smell that I'm sure I've smelled quite a few times before.

To me, it lacks any sort of “wow” factor. It’s an ok scent that’s neither good nor bad.

It does not seem to be very complex in it's construction, so fragheads may not particularly enjoy this smell.

However, for the average guy just looking for a solid cologne so he can smell good, this would be a good choice.

If you're looking for something that's unique and/or complex, this is not the fragrance for you. I would recommend you try to look elsewhere.

Oli G

K is Dolce & Gabbana's attempt at a mass-appealing shower gel scent. I think it gets way too much criticism.

Mass appealing shower gel fragrances are very generic, but each fragrance usually has 1 defining feature which makes it slightly different from the other. All are shower gel fresh + defining characteristic.

For example:
YSL Y, edp - Defining characteristic is sage/ginger.
Davidoff Cool Water Intense. Defining characteristic is coconut/ orange.
Versace Eros. Defining characteristic is mint/apple
Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. Defining characteristic is sweet, metallic lavender.
Dior Sauvage EDT. Defining characteristic is pepper/ aromatics.

For Dolce & Gabbana K, the defining characteristic is a herbaceous buttery note, like dried dill herb.

KaciFace

This smells like a mainstream ripoff of Confessions of a Rebel "Get A Room". If you like this, but wish it didn't have the citrus and vetiver, definitely run and try Get A Room.

IAmStaka

This to me feels like a masterpiece that got ruined/changed up just enough to take away its magic in the final steps of the production. It is enjoyable, quite likeable, inoffensive (so typical mainstream), but I feel it's like they took something away from it on purpose in the very end with the greedy corporate idea of introducing it later in a flanker and/or charging more for the "final" product.

I'm curious to try the Eau de Parfum now, if it's a step in the right direction it could be a literal masterpiece.

colognefreak

Well, I like it. It’s quite unusual to my nose and the dill and dryness really are appealing.
I see it as a fall scent, especially early fall with cooler days and evenings. I thought the review by Girl3 was very well put, spot on and I would agree. Some have said it bears a strong resemblance to Cool Water Intense. I don’t get that except maybe in the very opening.
I do think it’s a bit pricey, but man something about it draws me.

Ultrazur

I like how someone used the term buttery. To me that's what I'm getting like a kettle cooked candied buttered popcorn angle so think sweet and salty but the green notes keep it from going too far in that direction. Don't worry though, it's definitely wearable. I actually really appreciate the contrasts and would say it can be a bit polarizing so you have to try it for yourself and I happened to really liked the combo. I can see how from afar you get a typical designer male scent but up close is where you get the nuance. I think it'd be a good clubbing scent it's bold, mass appealing, and has a certain edge.

Harold-Meissner

Inoffensive. Fresh,

cwavah

Definetly not a buy for me .. to citrusy in the opening ... no uniqness at all , just like any other main stream fragrance

SprayLove

I'm going to pay an hommage to this fragrance as it doesn't get that much love in the fragrance community. I remember the release of this fragrance and how some people were disappointed with it. I was looking forward to seeing a classic masculine woodsy perhaps blue fragrance have an added pimento note and I wasn't disappointed when I got to smell it. It is rather classic but the take on the style of fragrance is pretty creative I think and it is extremely well done. The balance between the ingredients is perfect, the musk is done amazingly well, I love this lemon note and the pimento really adds structure and personality to the fragrance. I got to buy it two months ago and I'm still under it's charm, I think it's an amazing seductive beach scent that can be worn also during the night. Keep the bottle with you though because it has the longevity of a beach fragrance (think D&G Light Blue) but I think it's easy to reapply it and I love the fact that the smell is as volatile as that, it's perfect for outdoor fun.

Oli G

The K line for me can be characterized by a unique buttery, herb-like dill note mixed with a standard, "generic", soapy fragrance. The EDT overall fragrance isn't groundbreaking, but it is a pleasant, clean, slightly herbal fragrance. I must admit, you could probably find a similar smelling scent for a lot, lot cheaper without the name D&G. I recommend the EDT over the EDP, for me the EDP genuinely only smells of dried dill herb. If you know what dill smells like, you now know what K EDP smells like. What's nice is that K EDT has a tiny bit of that same dill note, but it's blended well and adds as a slight herbaceous note to the overall fragrance which is fresh, elegant and pleasant.

Girl3

It's sexy - and sexy isn't necessarily sophisticated or subtle. Sexy isn't a degree framed on a wall. It's passion, instinct. There's definitely juniper, clary sage and lavender. But along with cedar and a musk there is moss, bark, ash, dirt. I've spent a lot of my life in the forest - this is a scent that the bottom notes rest in the earth. The higher notes are daytime scents - the citrus especially. But is isn't fruity - it's spirited and strong, spicy without being trite. A very small amount goes a long way.

Blood orange and citrus but with dirtiness and a helping of toned down synthetic sweetness. It’s not a bad perfume and it manages to be a jack of all trades. But that’s also it’s major problem, it’s a bit too cloying for summer, not fresh enough, it has richness but isn’t a classy evening scent. It has some high quality ingredients but is also quite synthetic at times. It feels a bit sophisticated, but also seedy. It has some elements of fresh spiciness, some dry spices and some aromatic but isn’t good enough to land any of them. It’s a confused scent. Probably best suited for Spring days, not for me though.

masongap

This smells almost identical to Cool Water Intense EDP in the opening and a bit of YSL Y in the drydown. If you own Cool Water Intense EDP, it might be redundant to purchase this. Cool Water is a bit more tropical, synthetic and more casual, it also projects like a beast. I own both and enjoy both equally.

Overall, this one is a bit smoother and more refined and can work for formal occasions. However, I think its a bit expensive compared to other alternatives. Performance is 3/5 and smell is a solid 4/5.

CKS

I am completely aware that this is a masculine scent. But after so many years of boring, boring, Libre, boring, Idole, boring, white flowers, bla, bla, bla, I turned my head when I smelled this one. Like a song you love instantly. It has a soft, clean, warm side, that goes very well on my skin. Calm and sensuality, that is what this fragrance inspires me. I think that it can easily turn into a feminine scent, and I guess that my next fragrance buy will be a bottle of this one.

MarkoPeeko

Horses for courses. On my skin, this lasts an age. Love the bitter orange and woody, earthy dry down. A belter of a scent. Not tried the EDP, but the projection and longevity of the EDT is well worth the coin.

Liffy19

I love it and I don't give a dam about negativity towards this fragrance... If you like it that's that you like it....

Saneran

Hate it .. smells just like cheap Lynx deodorant may as well just save yourself some money and buy that instead . Longevity is poor .

Migalex

I find this fragrance well achieved in that they reconstituted ginger’s natural scent. It is a bit less heavy on the spicy side than the natural scent, but basically it is the same scent, and quite pleasant, if you like ginger scent as I do. Also it is stronger than most current fragrances and staying power and silage are not bad. It is also quite unique as a fragrance, I mean, not considering the natural world. The name, the bottle and the ad are quite pretentious, but what matters is the juice inside. Nathalie Lorson is a wonderful perfumer, you cannot go wrong with her.

Leon90

I tried to have an open mind trying this fragrance, I’ve heard a lot of negativity from reviewers and the community and from reading the comments on here, it’s certainly got mixed reactions.

Initially upon spraying, the scent smells quite generic but after a minute or too it goes down it’s own path, it’s smells like creamy laundry detergent which initially I didn’t mind as I found it quite a clean smelling fragrance but as the day went on, I started to find it nauseating and now it’s knocking me sick. There’s something in there that is sweet and that on top of the laundry detergent smell is knocking me sick.

I’m not a fragrance expert so not sure what notes are doing that but for me it’s too sickly for my liking. I liked the laundry/soapy scent initially but it just becomes a bit to sweet for me in the dry down.

Performance wise, It’s not the best, the smell does linger and project a little in the first hour or so and then just becomes a skin scent for 4/5 hours (in this case I’m quite glad as the smell was knocking me sick.

I’ve gone into this open minded trying not to let other people’s opinions sway me, I wanted to give it a try myself but I must say I’m not a fan which is a shame because Dolce & Gabbana make good fragrances, for me this is a poor fragrance by their standard, both in terms of scent and also performance, the only good thing I can say about it is it has a nice bottle.

Thankfully I got a sample, if I got a bottle I would be disappointed. There will be (and is) people who like this, but my advice is to try it first before paying good money for it.

RhettB27

I bought the EDT for my Dad for Fathers Day. I can’t speak of the longevity but it’s a sophisticated mature fragrance. It smells spicy, woody, and honestly I just sampled Polo Deep Blue which I also considered for my Dad, and amazingly they both smell very similar to me. Their note breakdown also has many similarities, namely the heart of clary sage and geranium. The Lavender/Lavandin is what I think pulls me more towards K however in its accord, but this is definitely a fragrance you sample and not blind buy. I think a younger immature individual would have trouble pulling this off. It oozes sophistication and maturity as I previously stated. I think it’s the Juniper Berry and Clary Sage that are mainly playing on my olfactory sense in combination with the citruses and woody notes, and those are more mature smells as we know. My Dad isn’t a loud individual so I’m sure he doesn’t want his fragrance blaring, so it could suit him more for that reason with the previous reviews I’m seeing regarding the projection..but hopefully it has a bit of staying power and meshes with his chemistry. We will see but ultimately it’s a solid fragrance with a bottle that will get your attention. Get your nose on this if you haven’t and see what you think!

Cheap shot: like a vegetarian pizza in the forest.
The honest take: sex in a forest.

Unfortunately, the negative reviews focus on one initial note (one they tend not to like) and base their -one-dimensional reviews on a very one dimensional first impression.

I would immediately reject this if I concentrated on the bergamot/vanilla notes that remind me of Versace Blue Jeans (a juice that now days makes me nauseous). That’s how my first experience went.
I could reject because the middle to dry-down gives me CK Obsession Night vibes (a juice that now days makes me nauseous). And that’s how my 2nd round went.

Or concentrate on the lavender fabric softer sheet vibes. I could also be lavender talcum.
Or like a vegetarian pizza in the forest.
Or what if a sipped a heavy juniper gin on a freshly turned cedar bowl.

So here you go, it’s a stand-out because of its complexity (and I guess it opens itself to hate because there a lot to choose from if you’re not a fan of any one note it is offering).
There are 3 or 4 four notes (including patchouli) that could ruin it for me, but it plays the other notes and pulls me away where it wants every time.
It is a sophisticated and well-balanced blend of every note it touts. And that makes it winner for me.

[I have the 50ml EDT. Will get the EDP next]

jturner333

HATED the opening. Smelled like a cheap fabric softener sheet. Straight up headache-inducing garbage. Literally have nothing good to say about this. Dry-down isn't much better as it smells like something an 80-year-old grandma would wear. The only way this flanker got worse was with the release of the parfum.

edneyheleneusa

The opening is fantastic but the fragrance cant last at all, it really sucks!

How can a house like dolce gabbana release something so weak? I'm very disappointed, 1 hour and a half and its gone, total trash.

mohammed771

The opening to this fragrance is really good and gives a nature vibes and a forest. But when I smelled it in the dolce and gabbana shop they told me that this was a really good fragrance but they didn’t tell me that the performance and time lasting is not a lot but now as I see this I regret buying the fragrance. I don’t think it is safe to blind buy for anyone but a safe ulternitive is Hugoboss bottled intense. Don’t get me wrong dolce and gabbana is the best for making sexy fragrance and these words are from Jeremy fragrance but the dna in dolce and gabbana k is not at all different from other fragrances and I don’t think at all that this is a unique and different fragrance

Overall : this fragrance is good in terms of smell but when it goes to Proformance and longer lasting it doesn’t do so good and you can buy better fragrances if you want the d&g house you can buy light blue pour homme intense (currently my favorite fragrance) or dolce and gabbana the one which is also good. 3/10

juliakatdavis

This is insanely sexy. Fresh and subtle but so refreshing. I smelled this for the first time on a guy at a club. After choking all night on other men’s sweet colognes (spice bomb, Tom Ford, and Carolina Herrera type fragrances) I got a word of K, and it smelled like heaven. Never underestimate the sex appeal of a simple, fresh, and clean fragrance in a sea of overly peppery, saccharine, and heavy colognes trying to be “unique.”

Stwmylos

It is not repulsive or unpleasant, but it has the very generic and common DNA of many other designer fragrances.
Due to the lack of character, I find K to be uninteresting. A fresh nondescript scent. I am bored.
But, alas, such fragrances serve a cause, they are popular as presents, because they are safe options, and very common amongst people who do not care what fragrance they wear.

LawSuth

Having received it today, I'll only add one additional, albeit personal, positive first impression.
Outside of everyone's commentary, I'll say that it has a quality that feels like being close to an unused rug that's been living in a sumptuously fragrant place (perhaps a "garciniere"). I've recently ordered Ricardo Ramos' "Kilim Bazaar", so will have to compare the two of them. Thus far, I've no regret.

Kash305

This K by Dolce&Gabbana smells great at first but to me its weak it doesn't last very long.i have to put about 5-6 sprays for me to actually make it last a little bit on my skin but I should have waited for the EDP version maybes its stronger and lasts longer but this is still a good smelling cologne ill just have to keep wearing it till I finish the bottle.

One of the most versatile scents in my collection. Modern, fresh and bright while remaining earthy and masculine all at the same time. Deff don't understand any hate this garners. Deserving of the spot it has on my shelf.

WCR

Smells like pimento and citruses garden located near the Mediterranean sea. Masculine scent. Projection is good, longevity is average on me.

MrAbbas

Fresh, Clean and Versatile type of a scent. Reminds me of a softer version of Bond no9 Scent of Peace for him which I love. This perfume doesn't deserve the backlash that it got when it debuted, its a nice and appealing scent for the mass. Nothing special but its a very good grab and go type of a scent. Performance is weak but it is an EDT. I really like it and will try soon the EDP.

Flo992

When i spray this fragrance on my clothes, i can still smell it after 12-13 hrs... just try it

SenselessReviews

When I was a child growing up in communist Poland, the policja (police) would break down our kitchen door and threaten to imprison us. They would shout "zdrajcy!" (traitors!) and hold our faces to the floor. I remember looking up at one officer as he flicked a cigarette butt into my grandmother's morning tea and cackled. I vowed then and there that somehow, I would find freedom in the United States. I landed in Delaware in the 1950s and have never returned to Poland.

I never regretted emigrating to the United States until today, when one of your Macy's clerks suggested I smell "K." I thought they had bottled vomit that had been vomited up once before, swallowed, and then re-vomited. The only note I detected was the turnip; the rest was a poorly blended diarrhea of a fragrance. If this is what passes for a Dolce & Gabbana fragrance in 2021, then call me "the Polish Jaleel White."

If "K" has anything going for it, it is the longevity. My mistress (age 89) applied but half a spray to her bottom at 6:19 am, and by 8:48 pm, she said she could still sniff it. Sorry, babe, I think I will pass!

mohammed771

fresh and green type of fragrance. more for men ,but performance is weak. this is my opinion. 5.5/10

Dmz227

Very fresh and green fragrance . You can apply it heavily. More of a daytime fragrance. Don’t pay full retail

aliilo2

Worth the try a fresh and clean fragrance
Overall:7.5/10

samuthchans

i have alr owned this, nah skip it many fragrances which are better than this! this is suck in longevity and also chemical dried down! longevity like 3hr and gonna re-apply over again at least 5-6 spray

Flo992

I don’t belive reviews and coments on Fragrantica anymore, i just don’t understand why so much hate and negativity for this fragrance, or just because Jeremy Fragrance said that he didn’t like this and all of you motherfu****s talking bad now.
This is a really nice fragrance and has an uplofting scent.
And let me be honest this D&G K scent and projection is better than:

Boss the Scent
Mr. Burberry
Bvlgari Aqva Amara
Versace eau fraiche
Prada l’homme
Aqua di Gio
Dolce Gabbana light blue
(I own all of them)

ktttheone

This is definitely an office and a suit fragrance for the Autumn/Winter time for me. Its warm spicy woody, it's supposed to be in the blue category, but smells more like a fougere to me. Like polo green not far more palatable. Not groundbreaking, not offensive, just a middle of the park kind of scent.

RonPaul'sCologne

Smells like gin, really floral opening with a strong Juniper berry note. Unfortunately the dry down is a concoction of head ache causing chemicals, really hard to wear.

Chioutzu

This is for a guy who always wore Versace eau fraiche but became too mature for that.

a7_mad1991

Really liked it! A chic and typical "guy" smell
Good quality ingredients, authentic feel to it
Office and school friendly (just don't shower yourself with it)

The Wolf

I tried this on sample. I'd read it's a boring and uninteresting release so I did expect disappointment.
This is a nice frag don't believe the hate! I liked it and my wife really liked it as well.

Allen-at-home

This review is for the "K" stick deodorant. After buying this, and anxiously getting home to try it on, the white deodorant stuff was missing almost a third, like the tube wasn't filled all the way, so I returned it. But enough about that, on to the scent. First of all, I always liked notes of blood orange and pimento, but it doesn't work here. Sadly, it comes across as body odor IMO. I am NOT sure which notes cause the odor, but I suspect the blood orange, pimento, and possibly geranium don't blend well. :-( I'm disappointed because I wanted to like it. Well, at least I can appreciate the effort to make something a little different.

FERNANDO{JCAMPOS}

I really i mean really like this, i smelled it and it was love at first sigth, i remember after smelln this on a family member i sprayed some and this scent lasted for 7-8 hour's on my skin sometime's more, it also project's like crazy on me every where i go i get a ton of air wift air bubble of this scent and it last a day's on my clothe's so i bougth a 150ml 5oz bottle, but before i bougth the edt version i bougth the edp one and it smelled more richier and bold but i was sad that it didnt project as much as the edt version, dont listen to people saying it'a weak and it doesnt last because it doe's and since it's a plesant fresg woody sweetish scent you can over spray and double or triple even quadrupal the spray's you sprayed alread and it wont offens any one!! I love the dry down becauase the dry down project's even more for me, again it depend's on people's body chem, parfum's seem to last a very very unsually long time on my skin and i mean all type of parfume i buy from edt to edp to parfum concentration, i own designer and niche and more expensive then niche fragance's, and plus i really buy it for my self because i like the smell and it's nice to get compliment's specially from women, parfume was actually made for intimate so that when some one is intimate with the opisite sex and up close to them can smell you just like you smell it on your self, i notice people hate on fragance's just becauase it doesnt fit theire chemistry or because they dont really understand parfume like a fine wine conosur......

Daddy3xs

Straight to the point...this is a very manly scent. When you leave the room, King stays put like a well trained dog. I love it & my wife likes it. So boom it's a keeper. This could be placed in the category of Dior Sauvage's younger, but equally as cool brother!!! Long live the KING 👑!!!

netan.el

'K' by Dolce & Gabbana surprised my sense. At first, it is quite ordinary and too much citrus. What saved this cologne is its bitter bloody orange and pimento note. An amazing combination. It is a typical 'blue' scent but done right; the Italian way. If the Tuscan markets could be put into a bottle, this would be it. 'K' behaves very differently according to the temperature; when hot, it is more citrussy and bitter. When cold, it smells more woody and spicy. I prefer wearing 'K' during colder weather. It is totally safe for a blind buy, but don't expect too much from it at first impression; let it work on you. The bottle design is very detailed and unique, definitely stands out in your collection!

Seuni

Just ok. Fresh, sicilian type of a guy, white, linnen shirt doesn't last super long, projection is not superb. 4 hours on my skin going close to skin after 2h. Just OK. Warm days. Not very original, bit boring

sonertan

Please don't be unfair to this fragrance. not that bad... very suitable for general taste.. yes it's not very different and looks like some fragrances but this citrus fragrance ideal for summer...

Sebzillax

Very, very odd smell. Smells fruity and citrusy, with a hint of something that went terribly wrong. This is the creation of a kindergarten class being asked to choose any mix of ingredients they want, and then make their own special fragrance. An utter mess of a fragrance. Unfortunately, decent longevity and projection, but at least it doesn't excel in any of those two, so you will be able to wash it off (fear not).

In summary: I am not impressed, but if you like it, then that's great. Wear what you like, but please do not blind buy this one.

Giuseppevi88

A sort of blend between Penhaligon's Bayolea and a super classic shower gel available here in Italy called Intesa Pour Homme.

Rhaegal

Very good and particular opening thanks to the juniper berries, after a short time it takes on a generic smell. The performance is very poor, after an hour the fragrance is not felt very much. Price too high compared to performance. I'll have to try the eau de parfum version.

5/10

Anderson87

Smells similar to Sedley with slightly less citrus and without the Ambroxan. It smells decent but not anything great.

J.aomeke

It’s really good

BigFragrances

I've used this one during the whole summer... The blood orange in the opening is simply amazing. Much love for this frag. Looking forward for the EDP version.

HippySpirit

You could argue this to be a relatively unique fragrance. The scent however to me is just an unintelligible chemical mess from which i can not pick apart any notes. It burns my nose smelling this close up, very dislikable. I did notice someone else wearing it and it was ok at best. Still i would never wear this it is just not good to me, just messy and burning my nose, no enjoyment whatsoever to wear.

Morelie

I just got four D&G samples from Ulta. Not realizing that K is a men's fragrance, I popped the top and smelled it. Mmm... To me it smells like the unisex fragrances the niche companies are putting out. Smelling citrus and woodsy, clean. I put some on immediately and I think I smell terrific. It is not too masculine of a fragrance for a strong, independent woman to wear.

rerthegreat

Juniper berries, a note i feel you either love or hate. There is a LOT of hate for this fragrance, and it seems centered around the note of juniper. No, I do not think this smells like anything on the designer market currently. There is no ambroxan as noted below, it is not bubble gum sweet, no overdose of tonka bean.

I feel calling this a blue fragrance is a reach, even though the juice is blue. Light blue is their mass appeal easy to like blue fragrance IMO (yes you could splinter it further to aquatic, but they are blue scents for sure. It's in the name for crying out loud lol). This scent is green, herbaceous, aromatic, woody. This fragrance bears some resemblance to scent of peace, but lacks the fruity opening and quality of SOP. The citruses burn off of this one quickly, and it goes to that woody, green, aromatic territory I mentioned.

This smells SO much like perry ellis 360, the blue one, from way back in the early 90s. PE 360 is a fragrance I loved but have not bought in some time. This is a modernized take on said fragrance in my opinion. The similarities are so obvious I am surprised no one has mentioned it. I am probably dating myself for referencing that fragrance (mid 40s). Perhaps the average reviewer is a lot younger than I am.

I personally enjoy the note of juniper berries so i really enjoy this one. THe name king doesnt really fit, although I personally like the caps. It is a nod again to those crown air fresheners that sat in many a car in the 90s. This really is meant for high heat and warm weather, as it does not last long. Women love this as well.

This is not a game-changer but check it out. Search the designer counter and show me the fragrance that smells like this. Let your nose do the talking and go from there. Enjoyable to me for nostalgic reasons as I have outlined in my review.

TonyAKAMrClean

I usually don't diss fragrances, but...

You will not smell like a "King" wearing this. You'll smell like someone who has to be in a scent sterile environment in order to smell it. That's right, a corporate slave. Not a King.

Weak. Extremely weak and uninspired. I can think of many scents that are similar to this, and they're all better. Eau de Cartier Vetiver Blue, Lalique Hommage a L'homme Voyageur, Atelier Cedre Atlas, heck, even Mr. Burberry has strong similarities.

Now, I'm not saying it smells bad, it just doesn't live up to performance expectations and isn't really anything new. I like the bottle though. If you like your fragrances extremely light, then this might be the one for you. If you're at all into fragrances, however, there are better places to spend your money than this one.

EauDeJay

Like others have stated, don’t worry about the people calling this generic. Especially the ones saying “it’s generic, but has quality” if it’s not niche it’s just generic huh? Sheesh. This fragrance is not your average “blue” type of smell. I was very surprised at how this smelled, nothing else in my collection really smells like this. The juniper berries, citruses,& Vetiver
really compliment each other, the smell that lingers in the air is just great. Perfect summer, spring, and even fall scent..you’ll definitely stand out for a “generic” fragrance. Good longevity, decent Sillage, and beautiful bottle. Give it a shot ! This definitely deserves more than its rating

2uciano

When I first smelt this I was disappointed because I have so much respect for D and G fragrances and expected something with depth and character. Instead I smelt something like shower gel. Yet it was still winter. In the Spring I bought a bottle and was disappointed again. The fragrance seems hollow somehow. Then the heat of summer came and I took out Eros, Missoni, and this and found that K performed the best and worked really well in hot weather. It no longer felt hollow and the combination of citrus and juniper smelt great.

If you are looking for a great scent for really hot days then this is a good choice. For cooler days perhaps the new EdP will do the job.

miki69

Great opening, strong sweet citruses. That lasts about 45min, then it turns to original light blue or pretty close to it. Was expecting more to be honest. Strong projection for 1-1.5h, then sits pretty close to skin. Longevity about 4h on my skin. I cannot shake feeling that this is D&G's attempt to copy YSL "Y", letters war ahead? 😅😅😅

Guitar 2016

It's a nice scent, light, crisp and elegant. Fortunately, there is no Ambroxan note in this fragrance! I don't like Ambroxan, because it's a synthetic note and boring in my opinion! It opens up with like fresh citrus then dry down is woody. The art of bottle design is very wonderful and It has a cap like crown. I like this perfume.

I am pleasantly surprised. A very good fragrance.
Aromatic and light. But without watery notes.
Deliciously served juniper berries mixed with citrus and vetiver.
I recommend this fragrance.

D&G K EDT opens with a soft projection of citrus, spicy and woody accords. The opening is fresh, it feels common, diluted, slightly sweet, sporty, and pleasant. The citruses are a significant part of the opening notes, their combination comes across as just citruses, slightly sweet, not too sour, but without accent to any of the specific citrus notes included in the fragrance. The juniper berry is also a noticeable opening note, fresh, woody, piney, green, resinous. The pimento is the spicy note, and it is very noticeable, hot, and piquant with a peppery touch. As the fragrance commences to dry-down, the sharpness of the citrus notes starts to dissipate, simultaneously, the clary sage starts developing creating a new projection and intensity but without adding itself as a note; the cedar and vetiver join to add a fresh woody and green touch. The fragrance has a few but noticeable opening to dry-down changes, the opening is soft and the citrus notes are prominent, but just for a moment, as the dissipate, the spicy, green, and woody notes enter the blend creating a new fresh, sharp and improved projection. The dry-down is much better than the opening. Once D&G K Men EDT has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, juniper berry, pimento, vetiver, and cedar fragrance with spicy and citrus accords. The fragrance feels casual, fresh, gentle, green, grassy, masculine, modern, piquant, playful, resinous, refreshing, sharp, short-lived, woody, and pleasant.

This is a teenage body spray kind of a fragrance. Harsh and artificial, a mixed bag of meandering notes, wholly uninspired. 3/10

Update;

Now I know why this is reminded me of Spice and wood from creed, because both of them have the note (Pimento) with some sweetness. I'm so excited for the K parfum version I believe it might be a closer to S&W and maybe alternative.

Mike Kay

Opening very generic, the dry down is where it is, can’t describe it but it’s good. Wait for it to get to discounters.

The K is dead, long live the K!

I find it really weird that this has such an abundance of dislikes. When it was first released I had a quick test at a local retailer and must admit my first thought was that this is not too bad. Having tested it over several weeks now, I agree that the general impression is that of a slightly generic “out of the shower” blue scent, but still I find that K has a certain “je ne sais quois” compared to others in this genre. No doubt, I am also biased as D&G used to be a pillar in male fragrances is my youth with releases like Masculine, Pour Homme, By and The One for Men – all of them fragrances that I found, if not excellent, then at least very enjoyable. Unfortunately, for the last decade or so D&G have only released male flankers so my expectations may of course have been high in unnecessary ways by a new male solo release.

The scent itself is built on an opening of citrus and blood orange mixed with juniper berries. After this, the pimento enters the scene and makes out a pleasant heart combined with lavender, clary sage and geranium. Finally, the notes settle on a base of woods, patchouli, vetiver and a hefty dose of Iso E Super. Nothing unpleasant here and the overall feel is as “sporty” and office friendly as it is refreshing – a woody aromatic that I would imagine most adult western males would find pleasant to wear. While neither projection nor longevity are overly impressive, I think that Natalie Lorson has done a pretty decent job with K.

The bottle itself is quite a piece of work – a cool blue bottle but admitted, at first glance the crown cap does comes across as an over the top kind of “see me, hear me” statement in the vein of PRs 1 Million gold bar, but I find it also to be kind of tongue-in-cheek and quite fun to release a bottle like that in 2019.

In my opinion it may not be a masterpiece but overall it’s not bad at all – and I am really curious to see if K will be followed by a series of flankers like D&G released in the last decade.

The only apprehension that is stopping me to buy this is... It is little feminine for my taste.. But I would love to smell this on a women.. Very pleasent

I get a modern day take on ETERNITY Calvin Klein from back in the day. To me it’s taking Eternity and turning up the volume on juniper berries scent. I’m not sure if it don’t last long or I go nose blind to it rather quickly. I simply reapply often to compensate.

I got a ~7.5 mL splash for free with one of my Sephora orders without having ever smelled it before.
Not a fan. Smells so generic, and not in a good way. It's just so sharp and the furthest thing from a smooth scent, almost nose bleed inducing. This smells like something someone would wear 15 sprays at a nightclub. This is a backwards hat and a douchey car.

1/10 scent. Would never buy a full size and likely will not even use up my mini. May give to a friend.

I do understand why this has bad reviews on fragratica as it is very linear, performance is average at best, and primarily because Juniper berries are the main note, which is infamously despised by fragrance enthusiasts. However, I do want to give this cologne what good I can. It is a mess and tries to do a lot with little time. The blend is ok but as many may know juniper as a main note tends to warp the accents around it into a tarty and bitter smell. I want to say for the record that I do not mind it at all. I personally like juniper berries in mens colognes and get a lot of compliments wearing juniper based fragrances. The citrus and vetiver are an odd combo though in my opinion. And while they don't really bother me, I do find it oddly confusing. I only recommend this for the summer and those who KNOW they like juniper berry fragrances. It does have a peppery quality that is almost vegetable-like in nature and I think it is unique and blends nicely with the juniper honestly. NOt a blind buy for sure. I tried to think of something this smells like and honestly the closest scent I can think of is Perry Ellis 360 for men, the original teal juice. This one is sweeter however and does have a more vegetile quality with more earthy notes. I actually think PE 360 is better however, especially considering the price you pay. Although PE 360 is more bitter and sharp I think it is less confusing to smell and last a bit longer on my dry skin.

Scent: 4 (Not bad imo, but people that don't like
juniper, stay away)
Longevity: 4 (Average at best, lasts a while on cloth
shirts)
Sillage: 6 (Juniper heavy frags always project well for
the first hour or so, no surprise)
Versatility: 5 (Not for highschoolers nor for old men
over 50. Can be a decent office scent if
the juniper doesn't offend anyone, good
casual scent and maybe even a date scent.
Not an intimate frag or a dressy frag)

I have to be honest and in doing so, I have to say that I’m a bit ashamed of myself because I REALLY enjoy this fragrance, but I HATE the packaging. A cheap looking crown and a basic, generic K on the bottle? The marketing team really missed the mark here.
Now that I’ve thrown my 2¢ in about the appearance, onto the fragrance.
It’s just beautiful. Like many others have said, it’s generic and cookie cutter, but it still has its own appeal. It’s like that one house on the block that tried something different with the landscaping or architecture, but still matches the rest of the neighborhood.
The word juicy pops up many times in these reviews and I have to agree that this is very juicy. Round and bubbly. Speaking of bubbly, it has a bit of bubblegum under the citrus-squeezed opener.
How is it the same, but different? I know what gin smells like, but I have no idea what juniper berries alone smells like, so perhaps it’s the berries that sets this one apart from the other summer fragrances?
If you’re looking for clean, citrus, juicy, everyday summer wear, then this one is definitely worth a look. It’s more citrusy than Y or Dior Sport, but less sophisticated than Sauvage or Dylan Blue, but still right in there with those types of scents

Don't worry about the comments saying this fragrance is very generic.

This fragrance is beautiful, sexy, very clean, very pleasent. Perfect for spring/summer.
The type of fragrance you can smell all day long and nevet get bored.

It's hard to describe. Smells a bit generic but at the same time you've never smelled something like this before.

I recommend it.

Why all the hate? It's a fresh spicy for the summer, easy to wear, quality igredients, decent longevity, and it's also quite affordable. Is it for the bottle? Personally i love the crown shaped cap. Is it because it's D&G, therefore "not niche = trash"? I will never get this kind of reasoning.
I like this fragrance, makes me feel relaxed. 6 to 8 hours on my skin. I use it in the office or for days out when the weather is warm.

Generic buy hey it has personality to it

It’s a good everyday fragrance for those who like to smell fresh and spicy

It does remind me of dolce and Gabbana the one edt and Versace Pour Homme

It doesn’t smell like a King, but more like a prince lol that’s what I get from this

My girlfriend likes it, I’m testing it out to see how long it last and most importantly the dry down is what matters the most to me

I'm quite picky and generally don't go much for "blue" or "freshie" fragrances, but I don't really get why this one is getting so many dislikes. I think it's pretty nice.

Sure it might not be super unique or special, but it's very pleasant.

Fresh and soft. Fluffy in a way, almost sort of powdery. Feels very floral... White flowers pop into my mind.

There's a certain light sweetness that almost reminds me of cotton candy, but it's still quite floral and aromatic. The sweetness is very subtle. It's not the least bit cloying.

So yeah, fresh and pleasant, perhaps a bit generic, but it has a certain personality and I don't really see anything to dislike here.

Here we have your stock standard party scent for young men. It’s a clubbing kinda scent, great for fans of One Million or Paco Rabanne Black XS. To me, it smells about 80% the same as Paco Rabanne Black XS, perhaps a tiny bit sweeter and creamier.

There’s nothing sophisticated or sexy about this, it has more of an element of fun and frivolity to it which is great for summer nights and casual wear.

It’s not going to wow people but it will have you smelling good. Lasting power and projection is average.

All up I say about 6.5/10.

This scent is amazing. Mediterranean culture in a bottle. Very juicy, summery and very unique. Reminds me of vacations in a greek island drinking sweet wine with friends in front of the sea. One of the best summer fragrances.
