I'm not a fan of regular Light Blue but when I saw that note profile, I thought for sure I was going to like this. Fortunately, Fragrancenet had travel sprayers available, so I opted for one over a bottle. And I am glad I did because I dislike this just as much as I dislike Light Blue. As with Light Blue I find the sharp citrus overwhelming. It's as if I rubbed myself down with a bitter lemon. I find that same bitter lemon here. Whatever coconut and floral notes there are in here are drowned out by the citrus notes. It's not creamy, as I thought it would be with that note profile, but very rough. It must be my skin that wreaks havoc with certain citrus fragrances turning them jarringly sharp and acidic. That is certainly the case here as this is just too abrasive and masculine for me to wear. After testing it on my wrist I could no longer bear it after an hour and washed it off.
I love a lot of D&G scents, but I just can't with this line.

MissBlondeAmbition

I bought this as a blind buy today after seeing the reviews, I thought I would give it a try. At first the lemon is quite overpowering and it reminded me of bug spray. Not a fan of it at first, but once it dried down it actually is quite lovely! I can definitely smell more of the creaminess of the coconut and a tich of the vanilla combined with citrus. I love the original, this is a nice compliment to the collection!

lucia87

I blind bought it because of coconut notes. All I could smell in the opening was really fresh and zesty citrus/ lemon. In the dry down I did pick up a little bit of coconut and its creaminess...but only a little bit. This is nice and inoffensive perfume, very fresh and zesty, with very little projection though. I can imagine this to be worn in very hot weather, nice summer and day time fragrance, which I will get a great use out of but won't be purchasing another bottle.
Safe blind buy though.
One thing I really don't like it's a cap which is white plastic which makes it look really cheap and doesn't really suits the rest of the bottle design imo.

leaves.n.rain

I took a chance and blind bought this fragrance, but I was sadly disappointed. The coconut in this doesn't blend well with the citrus, and it comes off synthetic. The citrus and the coconut seem to vie for the dominant note, and neither win. Instead, this came off acidic with a weird cinnamon/spice element instead. While this does still smell like LB, it doesn't come off as its own unique iteration worthy of attention. Instead the coconut and frangipani seem very out of place, as if someone was trying to make their own fragrance at home and it didn't mix well. Perhaps I got a bad batch, but I really was not a fan of this fragrance.

Craytrans

its very light but a unisex take on the beachy scent i guess slight more feminine but im a guy it doesnt feel feminine at all to me

Queen Kay

I'm a big fan of the OG LB I just hate the performance, the Intense version is my favorite because it lasts soooo long on my skin, I was excited for the coconut addition on this one but it's almost nonexistent, the ambergris is what's making me not like this one, it smells like BO to me, I noticed that with Baccarat Rouge as well, it just doesn't mix well with my skin at all, it smells good on clothes just not on my skin. I will still use this during the summer because it's so refreshing, the opening is beautiful, I wish it would stay like that all day, good thing is that the smell will be gone by noon so I can walk to my local Sephora and spray something else lol.

supersaiyan

It's nice. As a person who doesn't like citrus, this is a good fragrance. A nice blend of creamy coconut and lemon, though the sweet and juicy lemon ultimately shines with coconut as a supporting note. The drydown also has a veerrrryyy slight aquatic/ambergris quality, which I like as my preferred summer scent profile is aquatic. The citrus is the same as whatever is in Light Blue Italian Zest and Moschino Cheap & Chic I Love Love, so if you have either of those you could just layer with a coconut scent and get the same effect (and probably better if the coconut scent is long lasting).

I've only just realized I don't really like citrus scents personally but I do think this is a good scent (as in, hard to dislike or offend anyone), just not for me. The lasting power isn't the best, especially since the coconut disappears quickly.

DowsedInVanilla

Fail.
I can smell mostly lemon as top notes. Couldn’t really detect coconut but I did have COVID twice and my nose is wonky ever since.
However it does pick up the ambergris note which always smells putrid to me. On the dry down this smelled nasty and sour. I believe the ambergris was responsible for that.
I was super hoping for a nice summer scent but this didn’t work out for me.

bedubuc

I love it. It smells like if Light Blue and Soleil Blanc had a baby.

flem

Very similar to the original Light Blue. Both are nice and pleasant.

Laoire

I've had this in my collection for about 2 years now and I don't really know if my bottle is old but I can barely smell it! It has a sunscreen vibe but the light blue dna is very faint. In fact the whole fragrance is very faint! I nearly need to spray about 20 spritz's to get any kind of scent.

The lemon and granny smith apple top notes are super interesting to me. I can’t wait to wear this in the summer because I don’t think the current temperatures are doing it justice.

I bought this expecting more coconut, and while it’s there, the citrus completely dominates this perfume. I don’t find it has a lot of longevity but the top notes stick around for quite a while.

I have beach walk and while this has the same vibe it doesn’t smell super similar. I don’t get sunscreen from this nearly as much as I do from beach walk.

Maryvic

Light Blue Sun was an impulse purchase because of the frangipani mid note, but I also heard that this was better than Light Blue. While this does carry characteristics of the original that I found enjoyable, I can't help but be a bit underwhelmed. Much like LB, this flank fades extremely quickly and is hard to detect even with multiple sprays. It's almost like it's shy and trying to hide under the covers, which is something I don't want in a fragrance at this price point (even for an EDT). You of course get that zingy lemon zest top note like in LB, and Sun has a lovely white floral powder along with it which makes it a few hairs different. There is the coconut, but it is mild and also runs away before I can really get to enjoy it. The leftovers are a little warm but turn into mostly a skin scent. If the longevity and strength matched the price, I would think this was lovely. This may be my last D&G purchase, as they've struck out three times with me.

Mirabele

this is a good scent for me. blind buy, and sucesfull. i do have and love both original and intense. this is not similar to original to my nose, but very good scent on its own. this is definitely summer scent, salty, marine and solar, the way i like my summer scents to be. i am not able to properly wear it now, it is wrong time of the year, we still have lots of snow in my part of the world so it makes no sense to wear summer perfume. my only complain, it is very similar to Shiseido rising sun, which i already own and love, so i will have to see if one of those have to go, when the summer comes. i do not smell coconut, which is a good thing to me. anyway i am looking forward to summer to wear this a lot.

ekrapf

I got this as a sample to try plus i generally enjoy when a fragrance has coconut so I wanted to try it. It has some of the light blue dna but I’m getting a generic, “Victoria’s secret” body spray scent to it. IMO the scent is ok, I’ll keep the sample but won’t buy it full size.

aspirina

This is a gorgeous edition of Light blue. Here you have your lactonic notes given from the start, the coconut is very mild, I mostly perceive a chantilly cream/vanilla lemon custard in the base that makes the lemony zest oh so so yummy.
This is the best flanker I have tried, and I have bought it twice. Looking for a back up bottle soon.
If you want a LB with a gourmand twist this is the best option.

RoGo72

As a lover of Light Blue, I was eager to try Light Blue Sun which I heard was similar but had notes of lemon & coconut! Since it was a limited edition released in 2019 I was able to find a great deal on a 3.3 oz (100 ML) bottle. I blind bought it which I don’t usually do. Fortunately, I like it very much. Like the OG, this one will only be worn in temperatures above 65-70 degrees (Fahrenheit). It opens very lemony which lasts about 15 minutes. At this point the coconut note is not perceptible to me. Yes, it’s reminiscent of furniture polish but bearable, because the prominent lemon note passes quickly. After that initial blast it mellows to a pleasant fruity tropical scent with the coconut being very light. Overall, it’s a solid fragrance for hot days, but it doesn’t have great longevity being an EDT. It lasts maybe 3 hours, so be prepared to respray!

Nidoroki

Don´t buy this for the coconut, I wanted a citrus fragrance, and this is exactly that, a good one.... but if I didn´t read the notes I probably couldn´t tell this slightly creamy summery smell is coconut. It´s sweet but not too sweet, kinda just like a ripe lemon. Never had a problem wearing this even in the high heat. Great vibes and good memories when I smell this :)

ANATOMAMY

I absolutely hate this. It smells like furniture polish and smells nothing like Light Blue, which is thought it would. It’s the first perfume I’ve bought and binned straight away.

Turqouise.Realm

This is like the most delicious and refreshing coconut lemonade!! A frappé one by the way. Love it.
Sillage and Longevity are not the best tho.

Allegoria

After watching Sarah Mayes’ YouTube review of fragrances featuring frangipani, I decided to do a blind buy online order of Light Blue Sun. (I used FragranceBuy Canada - great!).
So since I was disappointed with the residue of just heavy musk left with LB Intense, I thought this might be the sweeter citrus summer scent I was looking for. And for the most part it is. The initial lemon is nice and fresh, and the coconut is obvious. Then comes the sweet frangipani-jasmine combination followed up by the creaminess of the vanilla base. The ‘white musk’ is very soft - which I like. I’ve had it on for 2 hours and I am still smelling the soft dry down. To me, it’s basically a soft floral with a coconut note. Not a ‘wow’, but I’m sure I’ll probably wear the heck out of it!

EDIT: I have been wearing Boucheron Flleurs as a base with LB Sun for a deeper, richer scent. Both have frangipani flower and project very nice together.

Tinalolitta

This perfume has alike coconut and vanilla note of katy perry purr. But more citrus and fresh, less sweet than purr.

Peaches&Cream

Honestly, this smells so much better than the original. It is less citrusy and not a strong masculine smell. This is now added to my favorites collection.

Skindeep_

Similar to the original, but a lot less sharp!

Try layering this with Mont Blanc Signature!
So good!

nesrus

one of my favourite summer scents. you can smell the coconut, but it is rather dry. the lemony, citrus scent is similar to the classic light blue, very bright and refreshing.

nanolex

What a beauty for sunny summer mornings 🌞 I feel amazing wearing this. I used to love the original Light Blue in my teens but I never got a bottle, and now I recognize it on others but I wouldn't wear it anymore because it feels a bit sharp.
But this flanker cuts the hard edges of the lemon with some coconut and a tiny bit of frangipani making it more elegant.

Compared to Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc, it's less creamy, like if you have a lemon-coconut sorbet next to a creamy fluffy ice-cream. An easy grab for summer in the city or outside that sits close to skin which I really like.

kkaattjjeess

This one is quite nice. To me it's significantly different to Light Blue (although the DNA of it is recognizable). There's more lemon, and the coconut of course. Pleasant and refreshing, doesn't have tropical vibes, more "summer in the city" in my opinion.

Edit: the drydown is reminiscent of the scent of freshy washed clothes, which I personally like but I know many people don't.

drazzillion

85-90% OG Light Blue with 10-15% added fruit and florals to make it more distinctly summertime. Fresh, aquatic, bright, airy. Easy reach when temperatures are soaring, though it's nothing extraordinary. The 20ml I have will be plenty enough for me and I will not repurchase.

To get a similar effect, layer the OG with Jessica Simpson's Vintage Bloom over top of sunscreen.

Gemsense

This smells like a very strong masculine scent. It's probably not hot enough for this yet cuz this just doesn't smell like the notes listed. I smell bergamot, pine, lemon, cypress, and lavender. It is sharp and manly 🤨😒and oh so strong! Even to my post COVID nose!
This is a cousin to Laguna. It's a lemony type summer scent.

Update: it's been miserably hot and humid and this has transformed into a beauty!!!! It's gorgeous 😍 I get that rose 🌹 and it's like fresh slightly musky... It is sooooooooo Good!!! I layer this with juicy couture bowdacious and it's a nice pair, the waft up so pleasantly... Also pair with dolce Vita... Mmmm so good! I can't believe how much I hated this and now it's a stunner! My oh my weather really does make all the difference when it comes to fragrances! 💗

haleigh03

I love this. Like a sweet lemonade coconut drink. So beautiful layered with tom fords eau de soleil blanc.

clairesque

The note profile of Light Blue Sun had me convinced that it would be my new favorite beachy scent, but the fragrance itself proved me wrong. This just smells like lemon hard candies. I can also see this smelling like lemon Pledge to some, depending on your body chemistry. The lemon chokes out every other note. Sometimes I can get a faint whisper of a scent similar to Replica Beach Walk beneath the lemon, but to me the lemon note is just too overpowering.

Hammyt100

Hahaha I don't know how I let the reviews on this one convince me to buy it. I don't like coconut or frangipani. I think I assumed it would just be a warmer beachier version of LB intense. It's nothing similar!

It is coconut and frangipani, with a bit of vanilla on drydown. The ozonic notes make it a little sharp.

I wish I had the problem of it being fleeting, but this sucker stuck around for a good while and I was sitting there like 🥲 "please, no more of this"

I washed it off but it faintly persisted into the night and was only noticeably gone the next morning. Super hard pass for me.

chyan

I actually love this one but it stays less than 30 min on my skin, like I’m struggling to find it even 5 minutes after aggressive spraying! I was surprised to enjoy it as much as I did, because I don’t like the original Light Blue at all. They are very different though— very bright and citrusy in the original vs coconuty and sweet in this one. I really wish this had more staying power! Awesome in steamy hot weather, tropical vacations, on the beach, etc.

islandgirlmaranda

Coconut, Frangipani, and Bourbon Vanilla???
YES PLEASE!
I have a bottle of this and love it. This is a spunky lil fragrance to wear during those sultry hot summer days! There's just enough of that Light Blue's lemon zest and granny smith apple to keep it bright and fresh, but the middle of it warms up much like its name, SUN! It's a little similar to the original Light Blue, maybe by 20%, but this one is coconutty, has the white floral scent from the frangipani, and the warmth of the bourbon vanilla on the dry down. Very unique and smells like summertime.

harperpeshhe

My expectations were quite high with this fragrance, but it has ended up being a miss. LBSun never came across creamy, nor had pina colada vibes others have mentioned, and I was hoping that was how it would be! It was more a citrus blast mixed with suntan lotion and a twist of coconut. Oh well.

Hadar_F

Expected to like it waaay more than I do.
My first disappointing blind buy💔
I can't smell the coconut at all on my skin chemistry..
To me it smells like light blue mixed with ocean scents, but sadly not in a good way☹️

Swmln

The amber gris took over everything to my nose.. providing a sour bile scent. I find the OG light blue headache inducing, but this one has been straight up nauseating to me

Ferra_Verto

Ozonic coconut lemonade; really sweet with just enough freshness to keep it breezy and non-cloying. Perfect for holiday, very tropical and absolutely perfect for summer. Good sillage and good longevity, around 4 hrs on skin & clothes.

Christen1234

This is the only version of Light Blue that I enjoy. Very summery and fresh obviously, and also a little sporty with those ozonic and citrus notes - but with warmth in the base that is very nice. It's actually pretty unique in my collection. Has a lay out by the pool kinda vibe. It has a citrus zing to it that is very uplifting and happy. I like to wear it when I know I'll be outside or on the go - like on a mini road trip, to the park, to the beach.

dsty

I got a little decant of Light Blue Sun from someone, and I was pleased, because I probably never would have tested this on my own initiative. As it turns out, that wouldn't have been a big loss: I don't think it's an improvement on the original, or even, at least for my personal taste, a very interesting complement.

Many reviewers on this page love it, and I see where they're coming from: it has the original's ease of wear and high price/quality ratio, but with more of a beachy feeling to the scent itself - suntan lotion and coconut and an aquatic vibe are added to the characteristic Light Blue base; all rather faint and synthetic, albeit in a pleasant way. It's certainly reminiscent of summer vacation in a way, which I like. Like Christinageor10 mentions below me, I can imagine it working well over suntan lotion.

But it really is extraordinarily fleeting! On top of that, I also have a hard time with ozonic notes in general unless they're very well done, and I don't think they are here. And most importantly, it's just not very well suited to my own personal taste - I quite simply like the citrus/swimming pool vibe of the original a lot more. I'll keep this around for a day at the beach, but I have to say it's as much because I wouldn't mind it being lost or stolen as because it's a fitting fragrance for that kind of day.

Christinageor10

Love this Light Blue flanker! It has a more tropical feel, while keeping the original Light Blue DNA. The addition of coconut and frangipani give this a creamier feel, but it is still a very light and fresh fragrance. I will echo what many reviews have said that the longevity isn't great, but if you apply over lotion and overspray, it has the desired effect. I personally am happy with that because I would only wear it during the day and switch to a deeper fragrance for the evening anyways.

I have received many compliments from men while wearing this one. If you love the original Light Blue, but want something a bit more beachy/tropical, this is definitely full bottle worthy. 8.5/10 ❤😍

QueenieIrenie

This is so great for summer. I smell a bit of the original Light Blue DNA, which I love, but Sun is sweeter, creamier, more floral, and less lemony. I love the added coconut, it definitely makes it more tropical, especially combined with frangipani. It's a light scent with terrible longevity, but still very enjoyable, like summer in a bottle. And I purchased it at a fairly steep discount, so I won't mind overspraying and/or respraying.

Edit: the more I wear this, the more the smell reminds me of juice. It's pleasant enough, but I don't think I will repurchase. I think I like OG Light Blue and Love is Love more.

bdragonfly12345

I wasn't too impressed by this one the first few times I tried it.....but, today, it's magical. Is it the hot and humid conditions outside? Is it the fact that today I totally oversprayed? Possibly it's both!

Today, I am smelling a lovely scent, very reminiscent of the OG "Light Blue", but more airy and with a nice coconut running through it (and I am generally NOT a fan of 'coconut' notes, so that's saying something!!). I like it, but will be content just using up my decant, rather than buying more of it.

I could see this being the perfect scent for a summer holiday somewhere by the water, with hot air and a kiss of breeze.

TheLB

All you get with this is sweet candy lemon, it has a very slight creaminess due to the coconut. I don’t get any other notes. Overall, disappointed. However, it works great for layering. I’ve been using Atelier Pacific Lime.

CheyWolf

My first Light Blue flanker and I’m incredibly pleased. I adore the original for its sharpness and freshness. This gives me the original DNA but the coconut, frangipani, and ambergris send me right to the tropics! The bourbon vanilla definitely give it a “boozy” vibe, deepens the fragrance. I wore this to work and a coworker of mines told me I smell like I just came from the beach, she said it was a slight sunscreen, coconut, salty smell. It lasts on my skin for at least 4 hours which I wasn’t expecting at all. Can’t wait to try others based on how much I love this.

Lemon_Candy04

I'll be honest, I didn't liked the original. I've received it as a sample (the original) when me and my friend were fooling around the shoppers market, we were given a free sample of the original by a kind worker. I gave it to my mom, I knew that she would love it. Now I wanted a perfume with strong citrus and possibly have some coconut, it was a little hard finding a perfume with that combination. Well lo and behold. When I bought this, I was worried about the comparison with the original, but I was instead blasted with the scent of lemon, with a side of coconut. You'll smell like lemon with a side of creamy coconut throughout the whole time. Lemon conquers all.

singlehandedbeauty

This is my favorite version of Light Blue. It's softer and slightly more sophisticated and does not burn my throat the way the original EDT and EDP do. Reminds me of a tropical body mist and lotion from Victoria's Secret I wore religiously in my early twenties. It has the perfect coconut note to balance out the harshness of the lemon making this version of LB smoother and more inviting. Unfortunately, LB Sun's performance is criminal. I get decent projection for 30 minutes, but unless I spray this on my clothing, it completely disappears around the three-hour mark. Admittedly, it's not an extraordinary scent either, but really pleasant and perfect for hot, humid days. I'll enjoy my bottle while I have it, but it's not something I'd repeat purchase. Best to buy on sale as it is not worth full price.

LeSucreRose

Very yummy smelling no brainer summer day fragrance. Longevity and sillage are weak though, so I like to layer it with something with more oomph. Right now, I’m layering it with Elie Saab Le Parfum and I LOVE this combo for hot summer days.

Cess268

I really enjoy this fragrance and so far I like this one better than the original. It's performance is way better and this just makes me feel like I'm out on the beach somewhere enjoying the summer breeze while sipping on Pina coladas or some other tropical drink. Perfect for hot and warm days. Affordable and fun. Will definitely keep this in my arsenal.

silverma

I've been holding onto this perfume for a few months after rediscovering it from when I was younger and remembering that I enjoyed the scent. After purchasing it, I remembered it definitely make me think of sunshine during the summer on a beach. But, after the initial spray, I did not like the ambergris that dried down on my skin. The lemon/coconut, turned into a sunscreen-ish scent mixed in with the main notes. Unfortunately, the only time I may wear this is if I am going to the beach, but if not, I'm probably not going to wear this and I have other fragrances I'd use over this one. Appreciate the flashbacks to when I first discovered this while browsing through Ulta when I was probably around middle school though!

plum

A blind buy and total miss. I wanted to try all flankers of light blue. Arrived today. First spray and coconut. I guess I do not like it in perfumes. I love/hate coconut since once I got sick after coconut cookies. Since then I cannot foresee my reaction to it. I may love it and may hate it as well. But there is something just underneath this coconut that bothers me. Something very synthetic, bitter, rubbery... maybe is it a tan lotion someone mentioned below?
Yesterday's Forever was a hit. This one is a miss.

monicab22.1

Found a large bottle of this beauty at TJ Maxx for a great price. I consider this summer in a bottle and totally love it. Long lasting lovely creamy summer scent - couldn't be happier.

jnguon

I love this. It smells like a vacation in a bottle. Omg it makes me feel so happy and cheerful and is perfect for the summer heat. I'll be wearing this a lot this summer. Love love love.

simonne.glaserova

Unfortunately, I do not smell any coconut or ozonic notes in the begginning, just very, very sharp lemon and a hint of green apple. Base and middle notes are also very weak, almost non existent. To me Light blue series perfumes smell mostly very artificial and remind me of lemon air freshener, which is not good. A lot of fragrance influencers are recommening this and I serisously do not uderstand why. It smells very cheap, I would expect much more from D&G.

fanntonyoscar

This is all suntan lotion to me. Exactly what I was looking for! It does run heavy on the warm notes, but I layer it with just about anything cool and it’s astounding.

TabledThoughts

Sweet, beachy and totally designed with a warm summery vibe.
Instant vacay kinda perfume.
The ambergris, for me, is a tad overkill. I like my beachy frags on the fresh side.
Inexpensive ride on the sunny side.

SalinasL

I was surprised by how similar this is to 4711 Sunny Seaside of Zanzibar, which had surprised me by its complete lack of bright notes and all-encompassing (verging on dull) warmness. Exactly as someone put it below, “too many warm notes crashing into each other.” The lemony, appley, ozonic freshness I had expected, at least for the opening, was nonexistent. However, I’m glad I gave it a few tries, especially with various mildly-scented lotions, because now I do get a tiny flash of lemon and/or apple right at the beginning and, while it doesn’t last long, I think it does add a much-needed sense of nuance to the base. It’s now a solid like for me as far as understated, calming daytime/bedtime/after-shower scents go. Very different from the zingy original, which I also like but haven’t yet been drawn in by as much as this quiet, unassuming version.

annsmiley

If Light Blue is sucking a lemon, Light Blue Sun is eating a Clementine. I know the notes are lemon and coconut but the combination makes me think of those sweet little Cuties. I really like the dry-down with this one, too. Once the citrus wanders off, I'm left with a soapy white musk. I live at the coast so I'm biased, but this one might just become my year-round go-to.

AnnaElli

I blind bought it as I love the original LB and I am a big fan of beach summer fragrances, so I figured, this will be a winner for me and I was right. Warm yet fresh, perfect summer fragrance. I love how well citruses work with coconuty note here. Another one to my summer perfumes collection :)

jreyes366

I had high hopes for this ya'll, let me tell you. I like the OG Light Blue but it's never been a perfume in my wardrobe.

I couldn't wait for the light blue scent with coconut but alas, all I smell is lemons. It's all lemons, all the time. I could attribute this to body chemistry, so ill give it the benefit of the doubt.

Light Blue Sun is nice and invigorating with the very bright and effervescent lemon right at the top. The only other notes I can detect are cedar, apple, and musk. I have a small decant of this and though it's not exactly what I wanted, it's a fresh and bubbly scent that I don't mind wearing.

EDIT: Upon wearing this fragrance at least 4 times, it's so painfully obvious that the lasting power is unsatisfactory. It lasts about 2 hours at the most, and I'm being generous.

silverma

When I first sprayed Light Blue Sun, I instantly smelled strong coconut for a few minutes with light lemon. A few minutes later, the frangipani came in with the lemon/apple original DNA of the Light Blue scent, and then.... I smelled just ambergris. I wasn't a fan of the smell of just ambergris, but once the scent settled on my skin, it became softer and blended into a faint, light white musk. I'd only wear this outside and/or near the water or at a beach. This scent is good and visually takes your mind to a place, like at a beach, so I would not recommend wearing this to the office or for just indoors. This scent smelled much better on my clothes and was more lemon/coconut and a blend of all the notes, much better than on my skin where I could only smell ambergris.

Koningin

Sadly, all I smell is lemon and apple. I was hoping to get a creamy coconut sunscreen type of vibe, similar to Bronze Godess but nope. I guess they should've added a drop of Tiara Flower.

Alisaaa131

As with most citrus fragrances, this doesn't last long at all.
I get no coconut, just the apple and the lemon so it's quite an acidic/fresh fragrances.
But essentially feels like I'm just using a body spray, lasts MAYBE an hour.
I'm quite disappointed in this unfortunately.

nancy.france

To me, what sounded good in theory does not translate all that well in fact.

Too many 'warm' notes crashing into each other blended poorly.

Still, a 'summery vibe' that sees some improvement upon full dry down.

Perhaps the addition of ambergris was a tad too much{?}

Hunnynpink

Sweet lemon vanilla apple coconut... It blends together and creates a fresh tropical citrus fruity drink. Similar to light blue but there is something metallic and creamy.

DiscoPolga

This is unexpectedly pleasant. I was expecting another Bronze Goddess type summer scent - sweet and cloying frangipani & vanilla - I was surprised to discover that Light Blue Sun is very fresh and airy. It's a nice balance between sweet and salty, with the Cool Water-like marine accent surrounded by florals. It keeps close to the skin on me. I love the packaging!

pjspaceshit

I finally found it - my perfect mango scent! I know it's not listed as a note, but for the middle phase of this perfume I get stunning natural ripe mango note. Then it unfortunately fades out to kind of "basic beach scent", but for the cheap price I got it's well worth to me!

I'm really being honest here guys. Maybe it's a skin chemistry thing, but no scent with mango note ever smelled realistic on me, it was usually very artificial. But here it does!

heatherrose

I think this is such a great alternative or addition to the original D&G Light Blue. I think the coconut and frangipani notes make for a great summer and spring scent. It's got such a positive sunshiney vibe about it-the name is truly fitting. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who likes Light Blue.

AlanneSedai

The original Light Blue was my very first perfume ever. A nice fresh scent, but it did not last long. I'm very happy I managed to get a 100ml bottle of this 'Sun' version for a good price, because it shares a lot of the same vibes as the original, but lasts longer, keeps the freshness, but seems more complete, more rounded. I bought it back in fall, but I'm glad spring and summer is coming around so I can wear it more. My current go to 'carefree happy' scent.

At night I like to add 'La Nuit Tresor Nude - Lancome' on top, which shares the freshness and the coconut, rose and vanilla, as well as the happy feel, but makes it warmer, more concentrated and more seductive for nighttime.

Elija

It is way better than the original light blue for me, because it is too popular to be honest. This one has some originality in it as you can smell the creamy, delicious coconut. I smell it and I feel like I am in the beach sipping on Pina Colada or Citrus Lemonade. Best summer perfume no cap

JetsBabe

Best light blue flanker. I tried 2 other, I believe "talian zest" and "escape to panarea" & those smelled exactly like the original.

But this baby doesn't! While the others were twins, this one is a cousin basically. It isn't as "intense" as LG intense, but it lingers on your skin for 8-10 hours. Also, the smell is SO beautiful! Imagine you mix LG with fruits and you get this. I swear I smell oranges when I wear this...

ScentLoverJen

Light Blue Sun is a nice, light fragrance for hot summer days. I really like the addition of the coconut in this flanker which adds some creaminess and depth the original doesn't have. Not great lasting power on me, but for the price, it's a nice find. It kind of gives me TF Soleil Blanc vibes which is one of my all time favorites for summer.

Chira

It was a blind buy and no regrets! I did not have the original Light Blue, tried it a couple of times and it was always too sharp for my taste. This one smells a lot like the original, but the coconut makes it creamy and in my opinion little bit more casual. Great summer fragrance.

starcraftpumpkin137

I like this perfume, but it projects on my skin pretty weakly. However, the smell is perfect for Summer and not smell cheap. When it dries down, I can smell some warm citrus scent which impressive. And I got compliments from this perfume more than other ones.

RRHouse

The opening is a blast of lemon, not a beachy lemon, it’s more of a lemon furniture polish layered on top of cheap soap with a weak LB DNA. It’s not overtly offensive to me, but it’s not a beachy fresh, or sun-tan lotion like at all, and that is what I was expecting from the notes. This has an oily lemon vibe. After dry down, I get some hints of musk and salty ambergris, but the lemon is just overpowering anything light, sweet or fresh. I am annoyed that I cannot detect the coconut, vanilla or jasmine. The performance is poor. About 45 min after application, this faded into a skin scent on me, and after 2.5 hours it was totally gone.

Rating: 3/10.
Projection: 2/10; Silage: 2/10; Application: 4 atomizations; Performance: 2/10.
Gender: Female
Blind-Buy: No, test first.

Edit: Two months later, I tried LB Love is Love- much better fresh, sweet lemon fragrance, with apple, berry notes, whipped cream and ice cream notes that make it lush. D&G got the notes right with that one IMO (except performance is just meh.)

alliesunshine

I’m super into summery beachy fragrances. I love Replica Beach Walk, and wanted something similar yet different to kind of expand the beachy section of my collection. Accidentally ran into this as a “smells similar” to a perfume I was reading reviews for and was so excited to try this. I’m thinking wow light blue, but sunny and beachy? Sold! I blind bought this thinking it would be safe because all the notes just made sense...
this is actually rancid and horrible (in my opinion!!! I know fragrance is different for everyone!)
Smells extremely lemony. I barely get any coconut or any other beachy note. The lemon does not go away. As another reviewer said, this fragrance smells like lemon furniture polish and they are correct! It’s horrible! It’s almost headache inducing the lemon note is so vile and strong. If I smell hard enough I get the original light blue scent behind all the added lemons. It really smells like 75% of the bottle is original light blue, .5% is coconut, and 24.5% is PURE lemon essential oil it’s just awful!

I’m a big believer that one should never base their perfume purchase on reviews, but man idk.. I believe I can safely say do not buy this.. it’s just awful. I scored 100ml for $44 and now I know why lol

**comparisons to Replica Beach Walk actually upset my soul because it’s an insult to that beautiful fragrance!!

Zethre

Urg. I really wanted to like this, but to me it smells like lemon furniture polish, and not even good quality furniture polish. I can't tell you about sillage etc as I had to scrub it off almost immediately as it made me feel sick and headachy (just like real cheap polish does).
Bronze Goddess is a much better sun perfume, if that's what you're looking for.

Yllowstar7

I just got a bottle. Although I had really high expectations it is just ok. Reminds me of Tom Ford soleil blanc. The creaming coconut notes are similar however this is fresher. I preferred this over Tom Ford. Also price is a big difference. I don’t like the regular light blue .. it just ain’t for me. This has the qualities of it but I do like it. It is what makes it fresh. Silage and longevity are not great but I was expecting it since it is an edt. I am happy with my purchase but prob would not buy again. I do want to give it a few more tries since I wore it in winter time w a mask on.

fragrances-fanatic

Mmmm so yummy and fresh! Has the DNA of Light Blue but only a little. It's a refreshingly new take. The opening has a very juicy grapefruit note. That morphs into a coconut suntan lotion vibe. Smell your wrist and you'll be transported to a hot day on a Mediterranean beach, even if you're just sitting in your office! Super fun and summery.

If you can't find Light Blue Sun, a similar scent giving you that suntan lotion vibe, but without the coconut, is Surf by Illume. (For an extra summery boost, Surf is great mixed with Palm by Illume...likewise Surf is also great mixed with Soleil by Illume.)

RitaMargarita

The best suntan lotion type of scent so far. Lemon and creamy coconut mixed together, with a little bit of vanilla. The longevity and sillage are pretty good in hot weather👍

ssss4ssss

I blind bought this. I like sweet/dark perfumes, so upon first spray I was disappointed at how citrusy and zesty this smelled (like cleaning products). I understand that's what a lot of people like about light blue, but its not my thing. HOWEVER in 30 mins, this turned into a sweeter coconut and vanilla scent with a hint of lemon lingering to give it a freshness. It's definitely not a "tan lotion" smell to my nose, but rather a citrus perfume with sweeter elements.

I sprayed it on a piece of paper the same time I put it on my body, and it smells so differently. On paper it is still a citrus burst but on the skin it smells sweet! So far its projecting pretty strongly. I tend to go nose blind to a lot of perfumes but I can definitely smell this on me strongly after an hour (it doesn't sound like much but that's no small feat with my nose).

I would recommend it for the summer for those who want something fresh but sweet, but if you prefer more citrus, then stick to the original! This is definitely not for you if you don't like zesty citrus notes.

Edit: I sold mine as I am not a citrus lover.

cele_cute1

The more I wear it the more I’ve loved it

It’s a sharp citrus & coconut
Def has the original light blue DNA
But with creamy coconut in the dry down especially on the skin... the Citrus freshness remains longer on fabric. It’s very likable and easy to wear casually, an easy go to. Doesn’t smell as expensive as other tropical fresh perfumes but I really don’t think it’s trying to... this is more of a relaxed perfume but still pretty & yummy & The price is fair for what you get

Very much a California girl scent
happy I got a big bottle because I do reach for it quite often even mid “winter” here in LA

Jeresa545

I had Light Blue Italian Zest prior to this one and that one made me think of early summer days, sitting by a pool and having tangy lemon cocktails. Light Blue Sun makes me think of the middle of summer, when it's been stupidly hot for a stupidly long amount of days, and you're sitting at an outdoor restaurant by the beach and drinking sharp vodka-lemon-lime drinks while waiting for even just a slight breeze to come along.
I love both of these scents, and Sun is just perfect for the current heatwave here in Australia; I've been wearing it for the last few days and I still love the smell. The only thing I dislike is the longevity, it only seems to last an hour or so on my skin before it's gone completely. I will happily use every last drop but sadly won't repurchase as it just doesn't last on me.

PerfumeDoll

I’ve been wearing this perfume all summer long. You wanna wear this on hot days. Definitely a compliment getter. Citrus notes (Lemon) in the open, dries down to this milky coconut.

thazinha30

I am testing this one right now and I quite like it! It vaguely reminds me of original Light Blue when I first sprayed it but then it settles creamy and a bit “coconut-y”. I also smell some lime (or lemon) and it quite comforts me! When I sniff it off my arm, the heat of my breath coming from my nostrils warm this up even more and I can smell something like vinyl or plastic dolls from the 80’s (a bit sweet and powdery), not sure what note that is but I love it, gives this a bit more complexity. Can’t judge on longevity yet but will update once I test it further. For now, these are my first impressions.
Update: longevity is very good on my skin, I sprayed this on this morning at 10 am and now, 10 hours later I still smell it on my arm and get whiffs of it when my hair moves around!

Rozalina

This is a well done fragrance. I don’t dislike citrus or coconut perfumes per se, but I’m quite weary of them as any kind of artificial lemon/lime tends to give me toilet cleaner vibes and coconut can come across overly sweet and cloying. This has some creamy but quite delicate coconut in the beginning but dries down identical to D & G Light Blue Intense. I’ll for sure be buying a bottle next summer, this is an addicting fragrance in the heat, just like sunshine in a bottle!

Edit: 7 hours later and i can still smell it on my skin. Pleasant surprise for a citrus fragrance :)

poohbearwinnie

This smells AMAZING. Most summer perfumes are coconutty and overly sweet, if you're not a huge fan of that, you're gonna love this. Original light blue DNA with just a hint of creaminess although not as strong as I had hoped. I tried this on my skin and I love it, just wish it lasted longer on me. After 2 or more hours, I can barely smell it. At this point, I've settled to just overspray on my clothes because I love this scent so much but its longevity is just awful.

dglightblue

sun, skin test, winter.

almost the same feel as the OG. but the OG has some power over me, some twist of magic within it.

this is amost the same. i dont get a big enough different to warrant keeping this. in saying that in warm weather i detected more of a differece than i tested today.

hmmm

for comparison, i have lemon zest, intense, sun, original, ... um, always wanted the others in the line

Ninaleen

This might me my most hated scent ever. It smelled like cheap soap, wet eggs, and grandma powder on my skin. I returned it.

I think I just dislike this entire line.

EMMASDB65

Sorry. Not impressed at all. I get a super tart lemon, ozonic, and tart green eaten-before-ripened granny smith, with more tart lemon and the faintest, almost unnoticeable coconut/musk. I like the Original EDT, and I like the Light Blue Intense (EDP) even a little more, but I was let down with my first impression and subsequent impressions of this.

I've also tried layering this with sweeter perfumes that I thought would compliment or be complimented by a tart, crispier juice like this one, but I haven't found a good pairing yet. If you have let me know!!!!!

If this was made into an EDP or an Intense version, I would definitely try. I was and a still looking for more of that coconut nectar, frangipani, bourbon vanilla and it just doesn't deliver at all for me. Maybe I'll get around to trying "I Love Love" by Moschino at some point.

These ratings are Intense, Original, and SUN compared, which I've basically copied and pasted on my reviews of each of them, because before I had all 3, I was looking for a comparison of the original to the others. So here's mine finally!

Scent: Intense 4/5 overall, Original EDT Light Blue 3/5, SUN 2/5

Originality: Intense 4/5, Original EDT 4/5, SUN 3/5

Sillage/Projection: Intense 4/5, Original EDT Light Blue 3/5, SUN 2/5

Longevity: Intense 3/5 or 3-5 hours, Original EDT Light Blue 2/5 or 2-4 hours, SUN 2/5 or 2-3 hours

Season: Summer for all 3

Flavor: Intense: Refreshingly musky, Original EDT: Lemony musk, SUN: ozonic-y lemon and the tartest green apple with the slightest touch of coconuty musk

Compliment factor: Intense: 4/5; Original EDT 2/5; SUN 1/5

Impression: Intense 3/5, Original EDT 3/5, SUN 1/5

Purchased 3.3oz EDT from Fragrancenet.com for 45.98 after discount in March 2020

d_silent_one

This is much better than the original Light Blue. This one is still fresh but creamy at the same time. Very pleasant. The lemon is sweet with a helping hint of coconut which makes it creamy. However, it also has a metallic-y smell to it that is a little, hmm. I don't think that metallicness was necessary. Could that be the ozonic note?

bodnerrachel

MUCH better than the original! Light Blue Sun is a great tropical beachy scent with wafts of lemon, coconut, frangipani, rose, jasmine, and musk. I love it!! So yummy and delicious. Lacks the strong vanilla base of Guerlain Terracotta or the woody vibe of Bronze Goddess. If I had to choose between Bronze Goddess Azur (which I just returned) or D&G Light Blue Sun, I would take the latter. It's elegant, feminine, and tropical, like a piña colada on the deck of a schooner sailing through the tropics. Heaven!!

Imalthia

Smells like the original Light Blue with added coconut and tropical flowers. I like this one a lot! The bottle is gorgeous, too. It's so sleek and shiny and minimalistic. This will definitely be my go-to scent for hot beach days this summer. I just wish that it lasted longer, on my skin this only lasts for 2-3 hours and then it's gone. I don't really mind reapplying perfumes in summer, though, I just think it feels refreshing lol

RachelSeun

There are very subtle differences within the Light Blue range for both men and women, making it difficult to justify collecting all the limited edition flankers. Light Blue Sun still has the very same DNA of the original and the openings are very much the same however in the dry down, wafts of the coconut note pierce through making Light Blue Sun a little more smoother and creamier. Lasts a little longer than the original but still sits close to the skin nonetheless. Much better coconut fragrances on the market for the summer time in my opinion!

brimanrique

I never cared for the original, when I read about the coconut notes I decided blind buy it and so far no regrets. It has the original notes but with salty/ozonic touches that I loved in a Summer fragrance, It reminds me a little to Replica Beach Walk in the dry down.
Overall I'm enjoying it a lot, the sillage is moderate to strong on me, and stay on my skin over 6 hours. Summer-sun-beach love at first sight!

gixxerbabe

I'm addicted to all things coconut lately, and I've been stock piling every coconut fragrance that I come across. When I discovered this flanker of Light Blue had a coconut note in it, I found a bottle as quick as I could. Now that I have it, I must say I'm a little disappointed. I don't get much coconut at all. What I do get is the DNA of the original Light Blue, with an ozone/solar feel and a good dose of sea saltiness from the ambergris. Not a bad fragrance at all; it's refreshing, reminds me of the sun and ocean, and perfect for summer. It's different enough from the original to justify keeping, it's just not the coconut scent I was hoping for.

bug.juice.184

This is awesome! So sexy, vibrant, beachy, summery and low key edgy. It's very weak unfortunatelly, though with a reason, it is skin scent for the summer. I would love to have this as a intense perfume with longlasting effect and silage. Wonderful scent. It's very strange that I absolutely don't mind for any of D&G perfumes at all, mainly I despise them, but this one I adore.

ashleyc23

I really like this one. I own Light Blue and Light Blue Intense, and for some reason I get this rubbing alcohol scent from both of them. I don’t know what note it is. But I can’t wear LBI because of it. I can tolerate LB but only if it’s super hot out.

I took a chance buying this knowing how I felt about the other two and I’m very surprised. None of that weird alcohol scent. Just creamy, slightly warm coconut and fresh lemon/green apple. This is what I hoped Light Blue would be like. They do smell similar due to the lemon and apple notes, but this is smoother and not as harsh. So if you’re like me and don’t like the original or intense, give this a try.

LateBloomer

Summer in a bottle: beachy, citrusy, coconutty, flirty, happy, fresh, and warm! Instant mood lifter for sure. Original Light Blue has never been a stand-out for me but Light Blue Sun is top shelf right now. I can't picture wearing this in any other season than summer though. Thinking of bikinis, sundresses, straw hats and espadrilles. Beach cabanas, adirondack chairs, daquiri shacks, mojitos, beachside hangouts...

love, love, love this scent.

Allisonmsmith22

WOW! This is just beautiful! I've been on the hunt for the perfect citrusy summer fragrance and I believe I have just found it! It seems the fans of Light Blue dislike this. I am NOT a fan of the original but actually LOVE this. If you are looking for a true flanker of Light Blue, look elsewhere. This is practically a separate fragrance.

LB Sun is very balanced, but don't judge it immediately. The opening is intense but short, it's the drydown that is heavenly. It has enough floral notes to keep the lemon in check, while the lemon is still shining through. The coconut is toasted, warm and nutty. The result is a happy, warm, comforting summer scent. .

The longevity is average which is actually very good for fresh scents.

Not sure if or when this will be discontinued but I will be stocking up regardless!

diaanz81

I do not like this one. It's not what I expected having smelled the original Light Blue which I was thinking of buying. However when I saw the coconut, vanilla and frangipani notes in this I got excited and bought this one, much to my regret. I guess I was expecting something that smelled like a citrusy pina colada but instead I get a weird 'fragrance on a card' smell but sprayed on my skin. I cannot pick up any of the notes I was interested in but I do get the DNA of the original, crisp sour apple, citrus and jasmine but its weak and watered down compared to the original. I wish I had tested this before buying!

Emjokuh

I have the 100mL bottle. It's huge. I expected to love this, I've been a little over the original and was looking for something with more fun and excitement. This is not as strong, not great sillage, not great longevity. If you're looking for an upgraded Light Blue THIS IS NOT YOUR MAN. I really wanted to have something to enjoy casually this summer but it takes 10 sprays just to feel the presence, and by that time you're drowning in lemon. The coconut, if it indeed is present, is way too subtle and would add to the fragrance if it was more potent. I'm layering it now with heavier, sweeter things (Girl of Now, Viva La Juicy Gold) but maybe I can learn to enjoy it on its own.

P.S. My husband loves the smell on me. It just isn't at all impressive as far as lasting or strength.

NouveauDruid

What a fresh ray of sunshine! D&G Light Blue Sun is for those fatigued by one whiff of the original's memories and who are repelled by the thought of wearing what they once, and everyone once, wore.

To my nose it could be called Pale Blue Sun because there are the notes of the original, tuned down a pinch, plus a shiny lemon twist and light aquatic and tropical notes that don't overpower the apple.

Update: there is a hairspray note and I can't un-smell it, but I can wear it layered with a coconut or vanilla, which with their creaminess, helps tame the hair...spray. Ha.

EstherR

as been said before me, reminds the original but is very weak, without sillage and poor longetivity.

Papavero0

Certainly more sunscreen than the original, can feel ambergris and frangipani, but although I enjoyed trying it I'm not so sure I would enjoy actually wearing it. Honestly, during summer I need something that helps me breathe and create a sense of freshness. This cannot fit that bill. If you find yourself feeling nausea easily by some scents this might be tricky. For more natural smelling summer scent I will stick to my AQUA allegoria greenery and lemons :) I find that the original D&G is more long lasting.

lacaklacak7

Lemony, fresh, clean, uplifting.. i would say this is like an 'Aventus' for the ladies..

Great longevity..

MistyPenny

Light Blue goes to the beach! This is one of my favorite fragrances for hot summer days. It is nice and light, which goes perfectly in hot weather. It makes me feel like I’m at my favorite tropical beach resort and sipping margaritas at the ocean view cafe bar, while the scent of frangipani blows in the breeze. Lovely combination of citrus, green apple, coconut and frangipani.

babyrose1985

I could only get my hands on a card sample of this and so i dont feel asthough I'm getting the full experience, I might have to wait it out and see if a spray sample becomes available but on first sniff this is pleasant, it smells like the original light blue but with soft breezy coconut lingering over the top. It isn't anything ground-breaking but it smells lovely nonetheless, I'm going to try a proper sample as soon as I can find one though as these card samples really aren't worth it, I rubbed my wrist on it and it was gone in a few seconds and was very very light, I'm guessing by the reviews that this is a light fragrance anyway and that would be fine for me but I like to be able try samples throughout the week so I can really get a feel for if I like them enough to buy a full bottle.

Vanian

This is a fantastic summer scent. I sprayed it today and also like some of the reviewers below thought that at the beginning I do not feel it much, then I completely forgot I had it on my wrist. A few ours later its aroma started lingering around myself and at first I was puzzled from where this beautiful fragrance was coming from when I realized it was me, from my wrist. I don't know if it needed some skin heat to develop in order to uncover its beauty, but there we were. People, do not underestimate this one, give it some time, you'll see.

moses22

As a Light Blue fan after first spray I had to have it for summer!
Although it doesn’ smell anything like the original DG Light blue you can pick up the dna. Here you have a lighter, fresher, airy version without the musk from the original, instead more lemon and coconut. What I found very dissaponting is that it does’ t last long on my skin and it would be so adorable if the scent was a bit more punchy and more filling with all these wonderful notes.
Overall I dont regret buying it ’s fantastic for summer! 🍋🍏🥥🌴☀️

Scent 9/10
Longevity 6/10
Sillage 8/10

raiza1990

Very boring. Faint, light cítrus fragrance. Reminded me of A Girl In Capri. A fresh, generic smell. There are much better summer perfumes out there that are also cheaper.
Don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t smell bad, it’s just underwhelming.
Longevity is ok.
Final note: 4/10

lizakaya

It’s interesting that the citrus in this is lemon, as my nose reads this as a coconut/lime blend. It’s a nice scent. But it doesn’t last long and the sillage is disappointing. I purchased this for wear in Italy while traveling in very hot and humid weather, and it’s good for that usage. But i don’t find it particularly unique. I’m not sure i would buy it again given the chance, and i won’t need a backup. In my line up of summer/beach scents this isn’t going to be one i gravitate to most often.

Petals_and_Perfumes

“Floral-fruity” -
Top notes:
lemon
granny smith apple
ozonic notes
coconut nectar

middle notes:
jasmine
white rose
frangipani

base notes:
ambergris
bourbon vanilla
cedar
white musk

Reminds me of Love’s Baby Soft - I’m dating myself by mentioning it, but it definitely has that soft powder note to it. I smell vanilla-marshmallow too. Very safe and one-dimensional. It is a perfect pick for wearing in a crowd/work/church. Anyone ever use “Shower to Shower” powder? I’m getting a flashback to that as well. Definitely a clean scent.

Glad I got it for a steal. I’ll DEFINITELY use it til it’s gone since it’s such a no-brainer for work, but there’s no wow-factor here. A good daytime fragrance for these hot-arid desert days.

MixedTastes

I love this. The first stage is like the original Light Blue but with the lemon amped up and less musky. It also leans more feminine than the original LB in my opinion. It’s freshly made lemonade on a sunny day. Creamy tiare flower joins for the drydown and this stage is really lovely, just pure summer holiday vibes. My only complaint is that the projection is light and it becomes a skin scent on me in under an hour. I like my fragrances with a bit more power.

GiareDiLuce

Very disappointed in this one. Yes, it's sunny... but it's more like a citrusy-airy frangrance with a vague sweet-floral undertone. It hasn't lasted one hour on me: not one! Absurd. And I generally am a fan of Dolce & Gabbana perfumes, but this one is a no-no for me personally.

LionsTigersBearsOhMy

Be cautious if you've had a hard time with lemony fragrances. This one smells nice right off the bat (the creamy lemon smells great at first), but very soon after spraying, I was feeling headachy and nauseated and this perfume was the only logical source. In my experience, it's really tough to successfully pull off a lemon-based fragrance without invoking household cleaning detergent vibes. Buyer beware...

n2238286

I wanted to test the original Light Blue since it seems like such a staple and I found it too powdery and old smelling to me. This was right next to it and figured I'd give it a shot.

It smells EXACTLY like Soap & Glory's Magnifi-Coco line. A bit citrusy, a bit more coconut, some warmth and some white flower. I LOVE this scent. If it were made into a candle or car freshener, I'd be all over it. This is definitely a summer day smell. I hope to use it to layer with the magnificoco body wash and maybe that will help it last a bit longer.

lmwimsatt

Light blue intense and country chic by bbw. Too bad... the notes looked interesting, but same old same old. The best thing about this is the whale vomit. I can detect the ambergris pretty well

Pez_Enelrio

why all this light blue flankers smell the same? it could be such a great variety based on the original citrusy scent combined with more musc and more tropical fruits, but for some reason it is not

genny17

If you like a fresh citrusy scent, light, you might like Sun..I find it nice, but too quiet, I don't get any apple nor coconut, just a citrusy floral...so many notes and I only detect a vague citrus floral vibe?
makes me think of a Bath and Body works scent...not the best ..I like the masculine version more...nothing I would want to buy, it is too soft..and very forgettable

tiger1962

This is another Limited Edition like Italian Zest was. I love this scent HOWEVER, I have tried: Light Blue, Light Blue Italian Zest, and now this. I'm convinced that two of these smell EXTREMELY similar but I can't figure out which. I'm madly in love with Italian Zest and with SUN, I detect an ever so slight gourmand scent as an after-note. I'm guessing that if you have Italian Zest you don't need this. However since Italian Zest is discontinued, you might want to get this as an alternative. It's citrusy and perfect as a summer fragrance. But way too similar to the original Light Blue and Italian Zest from last summer.

crystaliciousss

I love this so much but it dissappears dissapointingly fast... I wish i could have enjoyed this longer on my skin because it is sunny and beautiful. It is citrus with a very faint hint of coco.

I tried this one at a counter, Light blue sun on one wrist and Guerlain coconut fizz on the other and got some serious positive comments about my perfume lol

Icefire

Just bought this blind today, and selling it on! Smells like a mixture of original light blue mixed with malibu drink! Coconut is just overkills everything. A no no from me unless you like smelling like an alcohol cocktail...

sibaraa

freaking gorgeous!!! So similar to Creed's jardin di Amalfi with a coconut touch, and Alexandria boshetti de la costa.

I just found out about this and ran over to the department store to get a sniff of both the men's and women's versions. I have almost all of the flankers with the glorious Italian city names which are wonderful but fleeting, so I cannot justify full price.

Sugary lemon pie with a creamy vanilla crust and a bite of fresh apple. I also detect a few green leaves at the end, something not in the main LB -- could that end part be the frangipanni?

As I expected, this is very light after a few minutes, like body spray. I know that is the general formula for summer scents, but it still affects my choice as to when I spend a big chunk for a bottle.

The men's is nothing that different from most sporty scents out there, mainly the women's with a "manly" note added. It is a very common man note that I don't care for as much, but I don't know what it is. I can't smell the coconut. I was thinking I'd get this for my spouse, but I think he'd like the Italian Zest version better than this.

I tried it last week. The bottle is gorgeous. The juice opens up with a citrus burst like the original but with the addition of coconut and the ozonic notes mentioned in the composition. Its very similar to previous years flankers but it's a good summer fragrance. Longevity moderate projection good.

Tested it today, smells bright and happy like the original but with a kick of sunshine! Nice !

I look forward to try this one! Does anyone know if it will be a limited edition or a stable one in their collection?
