DKNY Golden Delicious by Donna Karan is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. DKNY Golden Delicious was launched in 2010. Top notes are Red Apple, African Orange Flower and Plum; middle notes are Lily-of-the-Valley, Lily, Orchid and Rose; base notes are Sandalwood, Musk and Teak Wood.

A new little apple from the popular DKNY collection - DKNY Golden Delicious brings aromas of apple known as 'Golden delices' and arrives on the market in 2011.

DKNY Golden Delicious celebrates luxury and splendor with its rich and accentuated aromas of juicy 'Golden delices' apple, accompanied by orange blossom and Mirabelle plum. An opulent floral heart offers a bouquet of white roses, surrounded with Casablanca lilies, lily of the valley and vanilla orchid, while base caresses with notes of musk followed by a sensual woody trail of sandalwood and teak.

Its flacon is made of glass with a metal cap in colour of gold. The liquid is coloured in gold-yellow. An outer carton is created in the same spirit and decorated with golden letters. Advertising face of DKNY Golden Delices is Lara Stone.

Never a fan of the original bright green DKNY fragrance - I was shocked that I adore this. I don't sense much of the fruit in it - maybe a hint of a pink apple (that may also be the marketing). Mostly, I notice the floral - heavy with pollen but still delicate. A perfect lotion-type scent. I have the body spray and would really love to score the edt.

Luilind

Fresh, floral and juicy apple. Not gourmand. Less fruity/sour than OG apple, this is clean and pretty.

Inoffensive sweet scent, works well for daytime/office. Like most DKNY apples it’s very youthful and doesn’t really suit mature women imho.

Zanerkand

This is absolutely wonderful.

So clean and crisp. I can smell so many of listed notes but especially the orange flower. Dries down into lovely sandalwood.

Reasonably priced, huge compliment getter and you feel refreshed wearing it.

Longevity could be more but that's a very minor quibble.

Shampoo scent for sure!!! Its nice - i don't get red apples in this whatsoever (I was expecting something like Nina Ricci or Kayali Eden Juicy, nope, its not that - but its not bad - just don't expect juicy apple!), but shampoo vibes, clean, yep! Strong like from me!!!

Stoicchild

I was very excited to try this but this smells like rotten apple + perfume. So disappointing.

pansylady

If you're looking for an inoffensive shampoo scent, this is your jam~

Zoia Collison

I really want to love this fragrance, nothing is wrong about it, but it smells to me too identical to original green apple one. Actually, all "apples" I've tried do smell mostly the same to me, even if apple isn't on notes list. Don't know why.

Midnight Raine

I'm so sad, y'all. This perfume is light and pretty; a soft floral. It oxidized in the closet for 6 months, and now the longevity is over 8 hours. It's fresh, clean, delicate and GORGEOUS. I SHOULD love it!

But there's a note in here that makes me nauseous. 😥 I'm not sure if it's the musk, the orange flower, or the shampoo-like apple. After 3 tries I'm still reacting to it, so sadly she shall have to go.

valevaleria

J'adore plus Apple. This is so good. Like a young and every day version of J'adore. I am not a fan of Donna Karan fragrances, but this has totally excedeed my expectations. I think it could work all year round.

KarenDB81

Glamorous summer evening in the bottle. Sure, it can replace more expensive J'adore, these two fragrances are 'sisters'. I always enjoyed J'adore on other people but I couldn't wear it because of headaches. On me it was too cold and metallic. Golden Delicious performs differently, it gets warmer and radiates like bathed and sun kissed clean skin.

MishaGericke

I enjoy this scent, although for some reason it isn't as sharp as I remembered it. Maybe something about my body chemistry is different, or maybe it's because I've been systematically going through my collection to review each of my fragrances. And my main takeaway is that I got the apple scent, but I have other apple fragrances that do it better. (Specifically, I'm thinking about the green apple in Versace Dylan Blue.)

Same with the white floral (Dior J'adore). And the vanilla (Burberry Brit). And the rose (Chanel Chance Eau Tendre).

That said, this is still a lovely fragrance, especially for a low-key day at home. What DKNY Golden Delicious does well, and that I enjoy, is put a bit of a spin on some of my favorite scent combinations. I like citrus and rose because it makes the rose smell fresher. The citrus got replaced by orange blossom, for a similar but softer effect. The lily and white florals help the combinations along, but they're not as sharp as in other fragrances. And then in the dry down, we have the rose lingering while the sandalwood kicks in, with the musk and teak providing support. The overall effect is very clearly there for about seven hours on my skin, but it's very soft, gentle and clean.

I'd say this is a good scent if you want to move away from pure fruity florals toward something musky/woody without the fragrance being too heavy.

For now, it is a scent that I enjoy and will keep wearing, but there's just too many others in my list that does more interesting things for me to put it among my favorites.

That said, it's not as fresh or zesty as a lot of those others, so I'm thinking it's worth looking at again as autumn progresses here in the Southern Hemisphere.

Opening is painfully synthetic shampoo and actually made me feel nauseous. However the dry down was pleasant and I felt squeaky clean whenever I got a whiff. I suppose it does smell like a sweet golden delicious floral apple. I think I'm starting to realize that I can rarely do apple without my mind reading hair product. It's unfortunate because apples are my absolute favorite fruit. Oh well!

Not for me, but I believe everyone should try something themselves because skin chemistry is so varying.

PC622

Reminds me of Ralph Lauren's Glamorous, but without its staying power. Dry down is also more subtle than Glamorous. On my skin, I get more orange flower. A little lily of the valley, and very light (what I'm assuming) is teak wood and slight musk. Only got apple at the top, then it disappeared. It's a pretty scent. Perfect for day wear.

begümümtaz72

Smells as a perfume should. Fresh, sweet. I like!

unicorn1

I don't know why but I had built this one up to be amazing based on the reviews so I got it as a blind buy. The first thing that annoyed me was the shape of the bottle as I found it hard to get the top off. This would be difficult for anyone with weak hands or limited mobility that way. I won't be buying anymore due to this design. The fragrance itself was nice and I smell the fresh apples, but it's nothing groundbreaking. I'm glad I got this for $19.99 at London Drugs as I was wanting to try out this line.

Riri33

Fresh and very pleasant. It’s a perfume to spray on your way to work or after the gym. It has an ‘on the go’ vibe. You can’t dislike this one. Not very unique but it has nothing that you will find irritating. It stays the same throughout. Good projection average longevity. Much Better than the rest of the line. It has a j’adore vibe but it’s more modern, a bit less expensive and a bit more generic. Worth buying though.

eneqvist

One of my all time favorites! I discovered it a few years ago when looking for the perfect Lily-of the-valley scent. To my nose, this is pure Lily-of the-valley, not apple. Like standing in the forest a warm, sunny day, while burying my nose in a huge bouquet of freshly cut Lily-of the-valley. Absolutely irresistible!

HenrietteM

Yes, very similar to J'adore but this one is milder. J'adore gives me a headache. The lily of the valley is far more prominent in J'adore. Overall, J'adore is more white flower heavy. Golden Delicious is just that, Golden Delicious. Opens with juicy red apple while the heart notes slide into delicate white flowers. (This is where it is most similar to J'adore) The base notes are what I'm looking forward to the most. Lovely warm embracing sweet woody notes. So lovely.

ManoChrome

The original Be Delicious is one of my all time favs (boring, everyone knows it, bla bla bla I don't care) and I am always glad to try other versions. This is the one my sister wears: it is a more mature, more sophisticated and elegant version. The apple here is not crisp and fresh but sweet and juicy, and the flowers, especially the orange flower, lily and rose are way more intense. Lily of the walley is not as strong as in Be Delicious. I think it is a nice flanker, but it lacks the freshness and optimism of the original, so I will be true to that version.

Lindsconn

This is a good dupe for J’adore! It’s not as rich and well blended but if you’re looking for a good budget fragrance that is both classy and elegant you won’t be disappointed!

You can still smell the signature DKNY Delicious Apple, but this time it’s softer and less green. Silage and longevity are decent. Overall this is a decent perfume for the price!

Ballentina

I recommend this perfume if you want a signature scent. Its not too strong nor weak, its just sit to your skin well. I accidentally known this because of my grandma, this perfume is totally from her but she doesn’t used it anymore so I did take it and im not regretting. Its now my signature scent:>>

bengii

I love this scent. Fresh white florals with woody notes. It's a good everyday scent for all seasons. Lasting power is okay, you need to refresh it maybe once. It reminds me of avon incandessence.

Yessamin

A blend of mirabelle, orange flower and apple, mixed with white roses, casablanca lilies and sandalwood.

Mistakenly bought this instead of a second bottle of the original Be Delicious. It's a more floral, sweet take on its predecessor; more innocent and clean. I've made quite a dent in it over the years (I've had it for about two to three years and it does not smell like it's gone off), but it's made me realise that although apple is one of my favourite notes, white florals are just not for me.

libertinesupreme

How do I describe Golden Delicious? Describing any perfume is difficult, but this one seems to be more difficult than most. I should disclaim that I first got this around a decade ago, and nostalgia is a very powerful thing, so that might be why I adore this so much...

... but I really don't think that's the reason. I truly think this is just an absolutely exquisite fragrance that marries together my favourite aspects of a perfume. As a child we had a plum tree in our garden, and the first bite of those juicy, better-than-the-supermarket plums is EXACTLY the note I'm getting on first spray. I've never smelled a note that's so natural, so like what it claims to be. Mix that with the brightness of the apple and orange blossom, and you've got one of the best first impressions of any perfume I've ever tried. After a couple of hours the white floral heart peeks out, but I can still detect that delicious plum; and the drydown is pure sandalwood and musk. As a sandalwood obsessive, this clinches the perfection of Golden Delicious for me, as well as adding a slightly masculine lean to a fragrance that up until then has been very feminine.

It's absolutely perfect, and the price is insanely good. Some people say they've discontinued this, but I've still found it readily available, so maybe it depends on where you live. In any case, I'm going to need a couple of bottles in reserve in case they ever do discontinue it. (Although if they do, I will straight up riot. I am not joking.)

MaryKT

Blind buy at Ross, I'm always on the hunt for my beloved orange flower scents and this had mentions of it so I gave it a shot. First gust is 100% teenage drugstore shampoo, thankfully calmed down quickly to a mixture of that shampoo and general sweets, fruits and flowers and also a hint of bug spray which frankly was the most interesting note of the bunch for me. I wanted so much for something else to emerge, something more interesting than this, but it didn't. And now it's fading fast.

jenayca

This has been my signature scent for a couple of years cuz it's just so fresh and sophisticated and kinda different. I don't remember smelling anything quite like it and also I have never smelled it on anyone else here. However it's been discontinued so it's really hard to find it anywhere anymore and I'm running out.

heartflood

This is, sadly, straight up fruity shampoo to me. An immediate scrubber, as it threatened me with a headache pretty quickly.

RosePetalRouge

My top two favourite apple perfume, and my go to work fragrance. Beautiful, crisp and expensive smelling. I would go as far as to say that it is a safe blind buy for anyone above the age of 20. It smells like a candied juicy apple, but more in a sophisticated and grown up way.

malyse

I found this at my local Ross for about $15. I feel like it’s a great price for it because I absolutely loved the Be Tempted. You will immediately receive the fresh apple scent, but once it settles it turns completely into a white floral fragrance. It’s a great spring perfume, not quite as loud as Thank You Next, but the same vibe just classier.

duckiescents

Does anyone know if this perfume has been discontinued and if so when? Because I bought a bottle recently and the batch code on check fresh is coming back from 5 years ago. I know Red Delicious and Delicious Night were discontinued. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with her perfume license changing from Estee Lauder to Inter Parfums. All I want is for them to bring back the ones we truly love and enjoyed. The whole DKNY Be Delicious range gives me nostalgia from the early to mid 2000's. Golden Delicious to me is the most grown up of them all. If you love florals than this one is for you. I see why they made this flanker, when I was younger I really couldn't appreciate this one. I first bought this around 2015, and never wore it then. Now that I am older, I am trying to collect as many of the DKNY perfumes as possible before more of them get discontinued. I hope we see a trio Summer set for 2022.

Cess268

This is a grown up version of the original and I really am enjoying this. I started to purchase the OG, (which I really loved back in the day) but saw this in a mini set for a reasonable price, and purchased it instead. And while I STILL appreciate the OG, I feel that I've outgrown it. So I passed it down to my daughter and kept this one. I enjoy it so much I upgraded to a full bottle. The lilly if the valley, is the star in this juice for me , and while I get the apple in the initial spray, it fades in the first 10 min or so. I'm left with a beautiful, soft veil of floral musk. It's sexy in a fun & flirty kind of way. It really is enjoyable. I spray this in warmer and cooler weather ( 75-45 F) for casual wear (errands, laying around the house) and it's light enough for even the office. This fragrance, makes me happy 😊 when I wear it and is definitely an easy reach. The performance is average and the longevity, I get around 7 hours before I feel the need to refresh. This will be a keeper in my collection.

DulseaJuarez10

Yummilicious and super delicious DKNY golden is bit different from all the scents. This one is less synthetic crisp apple interpretation. The apples in it smells real like a yummy, juicy apple with refreshing and crisp aroma. In the tasty apple, the floral notes are intermixed with the orange, rose and lily of the valley that creates a clean and soft scent. This is so well blended and well projected scent that one can wear it anytime and every time. There are little punch of pear notes as well making it more admirable and adorable. There are teen elements, mature elements and thus it could be worn by one and all. Versatility of DKNY golden delicious spread to all occasions, events, office wearing and even the other formal gatherings. Regarding performance, this one is superb long lasting with amazing projection. Mind it, this is a lovely compliment getter too that enhances the self-confidence and elegance even more. One more loving thing about this scent is, the lovely apple looking bottle. I am madly in love with this scent that is classy, elegant and truly feminine. Go for it girls!

GardenBlues

Apple and honeyed florals with a fresh woodsy dry down. Like a nice shampoo. Really enjoy this!
I see the comparison to J’Adore but I think this smells better. Smoother and better balanced.
The original Be Delicious has a note that can be cloying and this does not have it. This stays sparkling, fruity, floral, and somewhat sweet.
Appropriate for all seasons and occasions. Lasts 6+ hours.

freddinos

Oh this is wonderful!
Very in the style of the original green bottle Be Delicious, with the same floral cucumber freshness, no green apple and a bit more flowers.
Does not resemble J’adore in my book(the reason I blind bought it), but it has its own charm.
Overall, a very recognisable relative of the original Be Delicious ,but who doesn’t enjoy a refreshing fragrance like that on a sunny hot day?

Anamandy

This is something I would have never bought for myself because I'm not really a fan of apple in perfumes. But this was one of my bd gifts this year, and I have to say I'm pretty surprised that I like it. While it does start out like a sweet, crisp apple, (not bad, but not really my thing), that withdraws somewhat, and light, sweet florals, with LOTV and Lily the most prominent, enter the picture. I am only picking up the plum as a background note maintaining a light fruitiness with the apple, until the florals become stronger and more into focus, though that light fruitiness is always there keeping the fragrance fresh and bright. While I agree that it is similar to J'Adore, I like this more because I really dislike that yucky, phony melon note (calone) in J'Adore. The apple and plum are a much nicer combination with the florals imo. Unfortunately, the performance is terrible. Strong initially, then disappears to a skin scent within an hour. I will use it up because I do like it, but I will have to carry a travel sprayer around with me or wear it only when going someplace short, like a movie or out for a meal. And of course, when around the giver.

semperfii

layer this with fancy by JS. thank me later 😘

Mynotaur

Pleasant, light, fresh and cheerful but I can’t detect it after wearing it for a little while. Assumed it was as weak as the other DKNYs I own but I wore it today and received repeated compliments so definitely more to this one than simply a cute bottle. My own mum said she was enjoying walking with me for the fragrance trail hahaha so I’ve ordered her a bottle. She said it was like a lovely bouquet of flowers and something else she just couldn’t put her finger on...

nyteshade

I blind bought Golden Delicious because I didn't want to blind buy the more expensive J'adore.

Being a lover of fresh white florals, I knew this was a relatively safe blind buy. I was not wrong in this assessment. Golden Delicious has a classy, fruity white floral shampoo Herbal Essence vibe, it lasts about 4-5 hours and finishes with a beautifully done sandalwood base. Perfect for any setting which is exactly what I wanted.
Out of curiosity, I tested J'adore EDT, and I vastly prefer Golden Delicious. J'adore EDT has something in the dry down that made me wash it off. Golden Delicious is beautiful from start to finish.

Update: I can smell this the next day on my pulse points and clothes from the day before.

I really, really hope this isn't discontinued. If so, someone at DKNY has explaining to do. This truly is the lux one out of the apples.

Balletflowers

I picked up the 1oz from Ross today for $14.99 & It reminds me of something else I’ve smelled before but I can’t remember! I think it was a Byredo or Bond perfume. It’s sweet, floral & fresh, bright. I don’t think it smells like J’adore, it’s definitely more sweeter than that. I definitely get the Apple, African orange flower & lily of the valley. Great for Spring & Summer, daytime or evening because it actually smells luxurious & expensive lol. Overall, great blind buy for me considering I love white florals & sweet scents.

perfumelovere

I was enthused about this blind purchase after a past with Be Delicious. I thought this would be the more mature, responsible professional sister to the original. Instead it is a singular one-dimensional floral. All I get is gardenia with a tinge of apple. I'm so bummed this didn't develop well on me like the multi-faceted apple, floral and wood from the first release. I don't even see gardenia in the notes but this is a bad flower bomb that reminds me of an unsophisticated Amarige from the 90's. I should probably reveal that I detest tuberose/gardenia perfumes but I respect their place in the world. I'm glad I gave it a try because I'm in love with the world of perfume and you never know whether you'll discover your signature.

ZB

This is a great basic fragrance. At first, I was somewhat disappointed since it just smelled like a fresh apple scent with some white florals and a plum note. But I keep getting drawn back to wearing it. Simply an easy perfume to throw on before running some errands or going to work. You can definitely overspray since it is light and clean.

magnifiscently22

Just found at TJMaxx and LOVE it already! It's in the cutest bottle and is a gorgeous, classy, white floral. I don't have J'Adore, but Golden Delicious surely smells more expensive than it is so I am not surprised to hear they're similar. Even if it doesn't last as long, it would be easy to toss in your bag and reapply midday. This lasts on my clothes all day, but moderate 5-6 hours probably on skin. A great find! Can't wait to wear this more in the spring months.

sibaraa

A nice fruity and soft white florals perfume. Very safe for blind buying, it smells a little like J'adore when j'adore completely dries down after a few hours.

SeauxGood

Golden Delicious is yet another beautiful choice from the Be Delicious line. This one is not as as fruity as the original or Be Tempted. It dries down as more of a white floral with some fruit in the top. The teakwood is a base note I don't have much experience with, but it's a gorgeous complement to the sandalwood and musk.

It's super pretty in the chic, sophisticated sort of way you'd expect from more high end lines like Dior and Chloe. You won't get the sportiness of the original Be Delicious with this one. This is the kind of scent you wear with high heels and your favorite curve-hugging dress. I'm absolutely fascinated by the way every entry in this line takes on its own personality and purpose. Already adding a bigger bottle of this to my wish list.

Addict2Perfume

DKNY Golden Delicious by Donna Karan remain true to its original DNA smelling of crisp delicious apples! I have fond memories of wearing the original as it was first introduced to the market when I was in high school. I have followed the never ending flankers, the apple note has had so many parings – I’m sure everyone can find at least one variation that they like. I like lilies, I am a white floral lover and my taste in fragrances has changed as I have grown up. This is the fruity nostalgia of my youth mixed with my refined developed taste in florals. This distinct DKNY apple note has always reminded me of shampoo and I think it blends perfectly with the soapy lily scent. Smells so fresh and cheerful to me!

mevans

This is like a candy apple at opening. It's not as light as you would think a fruit scent would be, it's sweet and thick, perfect for an evening fragrance. It's a mature kind of sweet, it doesn't come off like a synthetic celebrity fragrance. The white florals are a perfect balance to the apple. Very well done scent.

piahellgren

I really am starting to like these yesteryears fruity florals! (I also wore Nina Ricci L´Elixir the other day and truly enjoyed it) that have no cloying vanilla in them. This one is a goodie! Bought it last summer from some uninspired discount heap at some airport and thought no more of it after having used it a few times. Oh, well, nice, but that's all. This summer I have loved it! Its like a muskier, yet softer J'Adore and I really like the plum/apple and the orange blossom accord in it. But more than anything- the LOTV is used SO nicely here! never sour, just adding that sparkly, slightly tart energy to the fruity floral composition. Golden Delicious is an attractive juicy, light and musky white floral with no indoles, but still with a bit of seriousness. Recommended!

idolinam

oh. really good perfume. i use it when i want to be a luxury :D yes, it feel luxury on me, its like CD J'Adore, and i adore both, but DKNY is 10 times cost less :)) so i can wear it goint to work, all my collegues think that i use CD and im so rafinated :D

ellenastokman

Im a sucker for white florals.its classsy,feminine,elegant.
When i spray this..i was like..ahhh..this is the tone down version of J'adore by Dior and lots cheaper.
J'adore has something sharp and soapy note in it and that what makes me stop from buying it but now i found DKNY golden..with perfect roundup notes.. yes!!

lisa.meskimen

DKNY Be Delicious is too sharp and familiar to me-- it smells almost exactly like Bath and Body Work's Beautiful Day. Golden Delicious is a different story. As some of the other commentators have said, it is gorgeously balanced between white florals and juicy fruits. The sandalwood, teak, and musk in the base come out early to join the other notes and the combination makes for a soft, classy scent that is all-around smooth, uplifting, and comforting. I feel like a woman and not a girl when I wear it. I think it's beautiful.

taureanrage69

A sweet but smooth and easy to wear fruity floral. I agree with the noted similarity to J'adore but it is more plummy and less citrus, also doesn't last as long on me. I'd pick J'adore if I had the choice, but this is nice and comfortable to wear. A bit warmer than the original Be Delicious, less of the freshness than with that one, very pleasant to wear in autumn especially.

soulsist

it may be strange but I think it stays in place on woolly clothes more than normal ones. When I spray this on my cardigan I can smell it for days. But I must say this perfume is kind of boring and nothing original.

lmwimsatt

This literally smells like a golden delicious with some white flowers

AHeartLikeMine

Based on the color of the flacon, I was expecting this to be an amber-y take on the original Be Delicious. Instead, to me, this seems very fresh and green! Not green apple, but green leaves. This is like sitting outside in an apple orchard, I suppose. I smell more green than distinct florals. I am very pleased, however. The drydown almost has a citrus tinge to it (again, I'm fine with this surprise, because I enjoy citrus in my fragrances).

I see a lot of comparisons to J'adore, but I don't find it comparable to J'adore because it doesn't have that distinct pear note. I suppose if J'adore was made with citrus and a bit of tart red or yellow apple, it might smell a bit like this.

rihabi

It's perfectly balanced between the florals and the apple, nothing over the top. I only wish it was long lasting, but If i wear it during the summer time, it's ok.

Ceccy Roxette

To be honest Golden delicious is my first DKNY so delicious scent to use. And it turned out great and I was so surprised. Its woody, floral and a bit of apple its not so juicy and its not irritating like some brands I know. For those of Us who do not like shouting perfumes for work then this is the fragrance to wear. I am so loving it

Barbarajg

Pretty non-descript middle of the road fruity floral. A lot like Dior J'Adore. Not nasty, just bland, like a body spray.
As my office coleague said - this is what girls in school days used to smell like.
But then again fruity and floral are not my favourite scent families, yet I find it bearable, as it's well balanced.

blachedalmond

This is my favorite from the be delicious line as it's not as "juicy" as the others. The apple is there without being too juicy or fruity. It's more like having a great smelling fresh red apple on your desk while minding your own business during the day.

It has a moderate longevity on skin (great staying power on clothes and hair though) and fine sillage. It's a generic graceful white floral with woody accords, and is very work/everyday appropriate. It is very versatile and can be easily worn to the hospital (where I work) or a formal meeting and take you to a fun dinner and gathering with friends from there. I got it on a discounted price in duty free and I usually go for it on spring/summer days when I want to feel good. I especially like it when I'm out on a congress or work trip.

Back in the beginning of spring I got a habit of layering it with Givency Hot Couture EdP. I just wish I could've thought of it before. This combination helps make the golden delicious warmer and more unique by amplifying the sandalwood and bringing a more spicy/musky aspect to it. I recently run out of Hot Couture so I'm back to using Golden Delicious alone. Now I just wish it had less of that rose and more of the sandalwood.

I'm almost finishing the bottle of Golden Delicious I own but I still don't know if I'll feel the need to buy another one. With all the nice white florals in the market I wouldn't think I'd go for the same thing again and again unless it's very unique. I'll probably just keep using other fragrances I own and revisit this friend in the discounted section from time to time to see if I get an irresistible urge to have her again.

Midnight Lady

Really nice one from DKNY. Before I smelled that I thought "Ah, what should I expect from a bottle looking like an apple? Another boring juicy smell." To my surprise I was worng.

GD is very sophisticated, fresh fruity-floral and elegant frangrance. Of course you'll get a bit of apples from it but not anything overwhelming. Office friendly for sure but suitable for night partying too. You simply can't go wrong with this one.

I bought this for my sister in law for Christmas because she loves it. I don't get any J'adore from this scent. It smells like honeysuckle to me. Barely any fruit, some woods, and lots of florals.

Roxanne25

Classy, feminine scent. Sweet apple and some flowers, very nicely blended in perfect harmony. Nothing over the top, but it never goes unnoticed, at lesat on my skin. People always tells me how wonderful i smell when i wear Golden Delicious.
I love to wear it in the office, it radiates elegance and self confidence with a touch of feminity. It goes well with a dress or pencil skirt.
It projects well, longevity on my skin is 8+ hours so Golden Delicious is in my top 3 office scent for the fall.

polkadot27

Nicely blended and I agree that it is the most mature fragrance from this line, there is no offish notes or synthetic aspects about this fragrance. It is well blended and has that cashmere feel. I often see it going for a reasonable price compared to other fragrances when out shopping. This makes me think it's not a good seller. Even though I like it and would wear it to work or everyday, it just doesn't have anything unique or different about it. It has the stereotypical perfume smell. Therefore I can't really justify buying this one when I have loads of other more unique rememorable scents. I always test it at Duty free because it is often more afforadable than the other extortionate prices of fragrances at duty free and although it is pleasant and quality to my nose- it never wins me over enough to splash the cash. I would gladly accept it as a gift and make use of it though. I would say it makes for a very safe gift- it is not the type of fragrance anyone could hate- be bored by it? yes, loathe it? No. I wouldn't purchase it for a young teenager though, as it is not your stereotypically sweet fruity fragrance and would probably be wasted and unappreciated by them, as it is nothing like the current market for that age group.

lmwimsatt

this is by far the most mature apple of the line because it's not totally an apple smell. it just has the essence of it. it definitely smells like a perfume from the 1970s. it's very generic but its sexy. if you have the lotion, only put in on your hands because it's very strong. and to state the obvious, use the lotion OR the perfume. its pretty versatile. I wore it to my cousins baby shower.

lmwimsatt

oh yuck this new bottle is dumb and it doesn't look like an apple. hopefully they change it back after this stupid be tempted be desired campaign ends

kessyster

I've tried for the first time yesterday. I was confused about the smell as I can't decide if I like or not. For some strange reason reminds me a smell of a new plastic doll ( I do like that smell actually) can feel a sweet scent on it. Overall, is not bad.

Sorryifiloveyou

Nice bottle... I more like Dkny Be Delicious Green...

This citrus mix some fruity plus some flowers or woods...

So I'm not suprised with this....

Mooniq

Fresh and a lot Alike Burberry Touch

ealaf.selim

Golden Delicious is a lovely scent but not unique. I got the 1 fl oz and used all of it. Good for day / work appropriate. It is flowery and fruity, not sweet or cloying. Fresh soft flowery scent.

alyxdavidson

This is a nice scent, nothing special. It's not exactly the same but really reminds me of Coach Poppy Flower which I already own.

Golden Delicious is fruity and floral. Definitely young and pretty. Not a sexy perfume. I find this to be quite cloying if I apply more than one spray so I wouldn't necessarily say it's safe for work. I'd definitely NEVER buy the intense EDP.

I get strong initial sillage that eventually does wear down and moderate longevity.

Elpuri

The opening is sublime. I really love it but too bad my body chemistry does not agree with this fragrance. The drydown is cloying/headache inducing on me and I still have a full bottle. Oh well, at least the bottle is cute on my dresser :)

jessoftherose

I absolutely love this perfume, I find myself smelling my arm all day. LOL It is a very uplifting sent that really puts me in a good mood. This is actually the first perfume that I sprayed and said "Oh my God, I have to buy this one, right now!" It lasts a long time, it is not strong, but not too light either. The scent reminds me of the 70's disco era and early 80's but with a modern flare. On me it is a light musk with lilly and rose. I don't smell any apple but a faint touch of orange blossom. However, I'm in love. Hope they never discontinue this one!!!

raiza1990

Nice fragrance. The opening is a sweet, bright apple. Not gourmand-like but mature and glamorous. It is later joined by some soft white flowers. Modern and feminine. I would just take the rose away and tone the apple down a bit, so we could smell the other notes better. But good perfume!
Sillage is ok, longevity too.

grumpycloud

I much rather preffered this fragrance over the original be delicious. This fragrance smelled really .... Classy. Its sweet and playful, yet its sophisticated when you want it to be... I really can't think of anything but a sweet golden apple. The name truly fits. This scent is for a young lady, who is becoming an independent young woman.

nina3

My mother passed this on to me. I can see why she'd picked it up. Somehow this could just be a long lost cousin to the likes of 5th Avenue. Definitely a sweeter version, yet (almost) equally grownup and with a similar urban kick to it. The initial introduction is a little too harsh for my liking but it does soon turn into something fruity and floral. Without rotting your teeth. The silage and longevity are pretty good. Not exactly my *personal* cup of tea, but I can appreciate an apple. I will keep using this and probably update on the experience.

[email protected]

As some on that enjoys woody, leathery, musky white floral, I must say this surprised me! So much softer and more sensual then the others in this range. Intriguing, sensual and graceful, the only be delicious frag that's worth owning.
PS Donna Karens Energise is beautiful as well. One of the most understated and elegant yellow florals out there go sniff!

nickhi1984

When I see DKNY in the store, I run the other way. I avoid it with everything I have! I had Red Delicious and everyone wore it back then (about 2005). The ladies restrooms always reeked of Be Delicious and Red Delicious and I just couldn't use it after that.
The other day, the Sales Assistant let me try My NY, which I bought. So, I thought I'd give one of the Delicious flankers a try. I tried out this one.
On me there's no fruitiness (thank goodness). It's a lightly sweet, floral fragrance. I get a hint of fruit, but I wouldn't call it fruity. I think this is quite nice for Spring time :)

Scentmad

A rather generic white floral but not unpleasant - there's a lot of lily of the valley in this perfume which I like quite a lot. This is a fresh, slightly soapy, feminine perfume. Nice, no ticker-tape parade, just nice.

I've only worn it once, but if could be a grower. For now, it behaves and there's no surprises with reasonable sillage and reasonable longevity.

Leah lilly

Very fresh very woody-floral scent. Perfect for the summer nights.

Pebbles7532

What a nice scent- sweet yet warm, this feels like the more complex version of Be Delicious. White lily hits you at first blush, but then the depth of sandalwood takes over. Dry down is slightly warmer and more of a musk.

What I really love is the warm, unique smell of teak undertones. Not too dark, but just enough warmth to boost this perfume to a higher class of fragrance. Longitivity isn't the greatest, roughly 5 hours, so a purse rollerball is needed.

Perfect summer scent.

Dort0625

I found this at Walmart tonight for 12 dollars, being the perfume junkie I am, AND knowing how much I love the original be delicious, I thought why not, worst case I'm out 12 dollars! And it's actually really nice, it doesn't seem to last as long, or be as strong as the original, but it's a nice change up!

ScarlettX

This one is really bitter, it literally makes me sneeze.
White floral for sure, I sense lily of the valley mixed with lily and orange flowers. Not the nicest composition.
There is also apple note in it, but I can't sense it as light and fresh, because of the cloying nature of this perfume.
I wouldn't want to smell it again.

margarita.angelova

This is my favorite of the line (next to the original).
I wanted to get a second bottle of the first Be Delicious but I might prefer the Golden version. The original is something every other woman is wearing and even though it's lovely, I'm a bit tired of smelling it everywhere. The Golden Delicious is a nice upgrade to it.

It is, again, nothing THAT special, just the usual bubbly sweetness highlighted by a touch of elegant white flowers, but is a nice staple kind of smell you need to have around for everyday wear.

Good mood in a bottle.

Arlene-Beatrix

Weird scent, it smells like hay on a meadow in summer heat. Later I get a bit of an apple, flowers and woods, but still I find this whole composition bizarre.

Kbt71

This is pure bliss. I remember testing it out at a department store and making my purchase after. When I first sprayed onto my skin I thought mistake I don't remember it smelling like this! Sharp, strong! I still feel that on initial burst..... However, let it sit for 5 mins and it opens into a gorgeous warm classy smell. The apples and the flowers balance so seductively together, I agree with other reviews its a close compare to J'adore (close. I can see how J'adore devotes would disagree).

This really lifts my mood, I love how It makes me feel/smell when i wear it.
I reach for this if i want something more intimate - meal with hubby, or a night out with friends and no kids in sight! Or sometimes just because I want to even if I am in my Pyjamas because it smells so warm and comforting x.

Sillage is decent and longevity prob 4-6 hrs... I can smell on my clothes when I put in the laundry the following day or so!

kati77

Its similar to Jadore Dior, i agree with all those opinions, its flovery in a nice way, sweet red apple, i am happy lily of the valley is not intensive note here,
i am looking forward to try Golden Del. in may and june it can be perfect for summer evenings

marycinaz

This one is an instant love for me. That is to be expected since Be Delicious Fresh Blossom is a favorite of mine. This is like a luxurious version of that one. Even though it goes on juicy and stays a bit sweet, I don't consider this a fruity scent. This is very much a floral on me.

limpidgrass

I agree with the review of eilismaireg. Sorry for the lovers of Golden Delicious. This scent is cloying personified. Too ripe fruit on the verge of rotting. Actually rotted and then dropped in kerosene. This is how it turns out on me. It is also oily in consistency, the oil seems to soil the blotting paper, the clothes, and on my skin the layer of oil persists. Might be good for fruity lovers, but this fruit is bland and sweet and boring, not gourmand not interesting. Pass.

dtchbrd

I am really not keen on Golden Delicious. It opens with a very strong salty smell, which lingers on for a few hours.(Davidoff Cool Water for women also has this same salty smell). I think it might be the Lilly note. The drydown of Golden Delicious is a bit better, just a simple mix of woods and florals, but I can't say I like it.

collectyourdead

This was always a nice scent, but not immediate love. I would spray it a ton but it took a really long time for me to sniff it again and realized I'd grown a certain fondness for it. This is the best fruity/apple fragrance I know of. Definitely a late summer on the beach kind of scent.
9/10 for floral-fruity summer scents.
8/10 for all perfumes in general

Pema_Tsolmo

I like original Be Delicious and Charmingly Delicious, but this one smells like rotten apples. Seriously! It smells exactly like room on country side, where the harvested apples are kept. On country side that apple smell has some sentimental charm, but I don't want to smell like rotten apple in office.

chester

I have three of the Be Delicious fragrances and this one is the warmest. The green apple and fresh blossom I wear in the warmer months, while the golden is more of a year-round perfume for me. It really smells like a warm weather version of the original. It's more floral but still clean and juicy. This was one of the first perfumes I bought that kind of got me to move away from fresh and fruity and into the warm floral/floral orientals for wintertime. Yummy!

Nikkafragrance

I smelled this one in a store and I was so pleasantly surprised! I thought that Be Delicious was the best from DKNY but this one is great too! When I went out I walked for a few hours and the light wind reminded me of the scent over and over again. I think this fragrance is excellent for early fall. It's like the sun gently touches my skin with its rays.

Niya

This does smell like J'adore but nowhere near as luxe and sophisticated.

victoria.mei1992

Very very fresh sweet apple, with teak wood. It surprised me a lot. I have be delicious and it is also great.

sonia.kassambara

I am not familiar with the rest of the DKNY Delicious line. I simply bought this because I have "champagne tastes on a beer wallet" and wanted a cheaper copy of J'Adore. The EDT does not come close until the drydown. It smelled sweet and vapid and clashed with my chemistry. But, ding! ding!, the EDP fits the bill. I plan to use a body oil that has jasmine to cancel out the light apple sweetness. This is not as sensuous as J'Adore or as long lasting, but I like that I can use as much as I want without feeling I am spraying liquid money.

SabrinaBD

Got a tiny little bottle for my TSA liquids bag. Perfect for smelling fresh, clean and slightly sweet after sitting on a plane, train or anywhere with stale air. Instantly refreshing. Light. Pleasant. Unobtrusive and polite. Appropriate for all ages and reasonably priced. Winner.

VintageViolet_

This turned to watery golden apples to over ripe apples on me after just 5 minutes :( Maybe the tester was off? There was a sharp, bitter, rotten decay scent to this. Has anyone else experienced this?

I own the original Be Delicious & Fresh Blossom and love them.

kathrinaaguir

Great scent, one of my favorites now. All notes are just well done. Longlasting and great sillage. I really really love it and recommend it. Sweet and cheerful, I receive a lot of compliments.

Tsukinohime

For an impulse purchase, this is impressive. As with others, I got an abundant burst of apple sweetness, but unlike your typical apple fragrance which is fresh and green, this one is more mellow and deep. Definitely fits the name "Golden" in my opinion. A gentle embrace by the elegant lily of the valley lends an unmistakable white floral vibe, which is tempered by a solid woody base which gives it depth. This could be paired with the other flankers as a night scent, though it is light enough to be used as a daytime fragrance as well. Not too overbearing and would make a nice everyday wear, yet deep and classy enough to use for special event. In comparison with the original and countless other flankers is like seeing a prim, proper yet completely approachable lady next to a group of giddy teenagers, laughing and giggling. The difference couldn't be greater. Not saying that the others are totally classless, but after sniffing the all too common fresh green apple scent this is truly something that stands out. Sillage and longevity is moderate which is fine by me. My first DKNY and already received compliments on it. Would definitely be getting a full 3.4oz bottle once my 1.0oz is finished...

Eirlys

This is the best perfume out of all the Be Delicious ones to me. I don't know why but something about this perfume is really appealing to me. It's fresh enough to wear during the day, but the musk note makes it suitable for night time as well. When I wear this I cannot stop smelling my wrists, and there were a few times people looked at me funnily, but I just thought, "Hey I smell great, and I'm sniffing myself, not you" and ignore them.

The longevity is about 3-4 hours on my skin, which is average, but for a day-time fragrance, it's perfect. Golden Delicious also reminds me of J'Adore when I first spray it on, but after 5-10 minutes they couldn't be anymore different from each other. To me, J'Adore has more jasmine notes, and it's mostly just floral; Golden Delicious has some warm notes to it and less floral notes.

MsGoody2Shoes

This is my favourite perfume ever.

I am an avid fragrance collector, and this is the only perfume I own that I am always in the mood for no matter what.

I try not to wear this one out of the house because I can't help but compulsively sniff myself the entire time which is really awkward.

Everything about this fragrance is perfect.

It's clearly a white floral right off the bat but the juiciness of the apple gives it a yummy quality without being gourmand, sugary or tropical in any way.

I am partial to 'clean/daytime' fragrances, and this one fits the bill.

I have heard it referred to as suitable for office wear, which makes sense because it's hard to imagine someone finding it offensive, and it has a sophistiated, lady-like quality to it.

It smells rich, expensive, sweet, and happy.

For the young, and the young at heart :-)

I have 3 different DKNY Be Delicous flankers which I love, but this one takes the cake.

It is DKNY Be Delicious + white florals, perfect combo for a lot of people who think that the green apple in the original can be a little sharp (including myself, which is why I stick to the flankers).

Hands down my favourite perfume, to the point where it kind of freaks me out.

I thought J'Adore by Dior couldn't be beat, but I was wrong!

warunphan

Felt in love with this perfume ... Sweet warm and beautiful. Smell apple at first and go to beautiful scent of floral, warm and feminine.

VesterRose

Wow i like this one better than the original Be Delicious!

NicoleO

Golden Delicious is a sweet, fresh, musky apple fragrance. It really does have hints of golden delicious apples, which happen to be my favorite. I tested it today and on me it's soft, but I would get occasional wafts of something nice. It's lasted about 7 hours now. It would be great as an everyday perfume, and I think it would suit all ages as it's not girly sweet. I would consider this next time I'm wanting a musky perfume.
Edit:
I adore this fragrance for the first hour - it's sweet and juicy apples. The drydown to me is a real let down though. All I'm left with is a dry woody/musky scent, and very soft at that. If those top notes lasted longer I would definitely buy a full bottle, but as it stands I don't think it's worth the money.

rosi81

Smells like Burberry London - lighter version

irenesa

Smells like J'Adore Dior.

den1011

I like this fragrance. I think it's okay for a blind buy or as a gift. It's quite simple and inoffensive, sweet but not too gourmandy, and suits a wide range of age.
I would like it if somebody gave it to me as a gift but I wouldn't buy it. There are other perfumes I have on my list first that I like more.

elle.ratcha

It's really fresh smell
I can use it everyday.

Pez_Enelrio

I like the fragrance itself a lot, but the lasting power is very weak, so I would say it can't even show all of it's faces on me, as it disappears before it could. I will try to purchase for the intense version maybe that one last longer so I could enjoy the smell:)

dira al jufri

I just bought this perfume... It's really make me feel relieve...calm and comfortable.. It's light, mild and good to wear on daytime..

freddinos

Quite generic scent, fresh like it's original sibling but less impressive. Uninteresting to my opinion

Hazelann

I fell in love with it for the 1st time I tried it on. Feel myself sparkle and fresh! I can wear it everyday, everytime. Most favourite ever.

Tara_Dan

Found this disappointing on many counts. The fragrance itself is just about ok. Mostly white flower with a hint of apple. And that's all it was for me.

I think this is my fault though, I've been getting too many of those 'white flower with a fruit' fragrances.

Sillage and longevity were not at all good on me.

I dont dislike it so much that I would stop using it, of course. But will definitely not buy again, and consider it a slight waste given how much it costs, versus what it delivers.

Sorry to those who love this!

dawn.brooks.391

I purchased a mini of this, strictly to add to my collection of delicious apples! Plus,if I truly loved it as much as the others,It would quickly jump to the top of fb wish list.

I was greatly surprised by the flowery nature of this perfume.I suppose i shouldn't have been,it is described as a white floral but somehow I just imagined the apple would be more noticeable.I was also hoping to notice the orchid more, not so much. On me,I got white floral. That's it.Not horrible, but I definitely didn't love it the way I love the original,or even delicious night, which is a completely different animal!
I guess,to be fair,if this was just another fruity flanker,I probably would be more disappointed.Do i really want/need another apple scent? No,but then again I would have liked this to be a bit more...amazing,is the the best way I can describe the feeling I was looking for.
I will definitely return to this at a later date, perhaps I need to let it grow on me.I'm not that into super flowery scents, though I am discovering myself liking them more the older I get.
I'm definitely glad I decided to get a mini first and not let my preconceived notions push me into buying a large bottle of something I'm not totally loving at the moment.

romanticfae

very creamy and yummy truly edible when i first got it i wore it so much truly the best of the be delicious bunch , i luv it for autumn its just perfect for the cooling down days

anna.glowacka

Very fresh and crispy. Reminds me of laundry hanging in the sun. Lilly of the valley and fresh rose overdose. It's very nice and settles beautifully on the skin. Perfect summer scent. Probably it would smell very pretty on somebody else but for my nose it's too light.

wonderlu

It took me a long while to really like the original Be Delicious because it was too juicy and green in a way. and when i one day smelled it on a girl one summersday i became addicted with the scent. and what happened? i bought it - along with fresh blossom AND golden. all of them lasts minimun 4 hours on my skin and they smell soo tasty! love them all

BritXOX

This one is very different from other apples! This is little heavier than others and this isn't actually based on apples. It is white floral! This is the one that stands out of all the apples of DKNY. Best DKNY so far!

Lasting power is better and it's more sophisticated scent. Could wear it anytime you want.

2746cstreet

It does smell exactly like apple shampoo. If I'm going to break it down.. the apple is yes, a yellow apple, like a Gala apple. Beyond that I get fruity-soapy orange blossom and a slightly peppery note. It smells clean and fresh. It's very casual.

Kiera79

This smells like apple shampoo, but in a really good way. I was not convinced I was going to like it based on preconceptions about this line (I'm not into smelling like a candy apple), but after trying the sample I immediately went online to order a full bottle! I can't stop sniffing my arm :) I smell like freshly washed apple blossoms. Gorgeous.

As a side note, I received a sample of Coco Noir today as well and happened to spray both of these on my arm. Unexpectedly they smell great together!

Lushylori

I'm actually quite pleased with this fragrance.
I enjoy the rich scent of the floral and fruit combined.
Very well blended and i love how the musk and woody accord warms this scent up so its not as zingy as some scents with these same notes.
I think this scent would work for all ages actually :)
Try it!
In Ontario Canada,Shoppers drug mart is having a sale of this and the body lotion in a pretty golden glittery apple box for only $19.99...The suggested retail value is $65.00 and the value is $92.00. Thats what my box says :)
Don't miss out ,Its a nice one :)

bluepistachio

This is similar to the original Be Delicious, although this has more white flower. It smells shiny if that makes any sense. It;s a bit to heavy on the floral to me.

dahliafleur

I recently bought this after sitting on the fence over whether to buy it or not. So pleased that I did, as this perfume only becomes more beautiful with prolonged use! I have worn Be Delicious green in the past I have found that this is a lot more revised; less apple, more elegance, luxurious.

The smell of rose is very notable to me, I think this combined with the apple creates an almost dried fruit and dried flower, an aroma that has richened slowly in time and the result is divine.

EmmaEm421

In my opinion, this is a much more 'grown up' scent than the other Delicious fragrances, less candy apple smelling. I think it would appeal to a different demographic than, for example Be Delicious. Although I think my skin may be slightly changing the scent, I try to wear it on my clothes rather than my skin.

Katrusya31

it is better in 100 procent than be delicious and fresh blossom. It is smells so nice, tasty endeed. "Golden" is the the first palce, and a gold medal, not just delicous. I like it and very much, thanks to my husband for that Xmas present!

ingalee

This is the latest of DKNY that I have in my property, an elegant perfume, the finer occasions to wear.I like it, but I do not really know what kind of scents I know, it smells like lily of the valley most.

is very long so it is a big plus!

colorblindlove

I'm really liking this scent so far. Definetely different than Be Delicious (which is a good thing in my opinion) so if you like the original scent then you might not like this and vice versa. This is my second favorite DKNY Delicious scent after Red Delicious.

ColubineCola

Not as good as DKNY Be delicious.

alannah93

i got a tester of this today and wow i totally loved it. the mix of apple, woody notes & floral is just divine. i need to purchase a bottle of this.

BroadwayBeauty

I've been wearing this perfume on and off for about three months, and I've never noticed an apple scent on me at all. In fact, I sometimes forget that this is a part of the DKNY Delicious family because of how different it seems from its predecessors.

I get a very creamy and floral fragrance from this. I understand why some people say this smells like a really nice perfume, 'cause I do get that a little bit. But it smells very fresh, and I haven't really ever smelled anything that reminds me of this scent. It does get a bit creamier as it dries down, but this scent is fairly stable on me.

My only complaint is that I wish this had a better sillage. I feel like it always sits so close to my skin that no one can smell it unless they're hugging me.

Museumgal

It takes a while for the apple to develop, but once it does it adds quite an unusual twist... keeps the scent very crisp and doesn't fade away into a generic floral/wood/musk combination.

bahar.sr7

very nice,really delicious!!!
i got it today and it's wonderful!:)

Shimone

Simple and Pretty......

Radchick

Just like a juicy sweet apple, with some soft smelling flowers in the background. I like this better than I was expecting. I do find there is some similarity to both J'Adore and Incandessence but I like this better than either of those because it's fresher and sweeter.

mils

I did try this golden apple at the airport and I wasn´t impressed. I was like I did already smell it somewhere. I think this one is really nice. You can really smell plums and apples but I find it quite ordinary. No doubt-this is clean, little warm, fruity floral scent which doesn´t annoy anyone because it stays close to the skin but I find it just unoriginal. I miss something that could give it the flash.. Nice bottle though. I think this is good for spring and even early fall. But actually I think once it will find the place on my shelf though:D
EDIT: Oh yeey I had to try it again and I love it more than the green Be delicious. I love the plum with apple in it...

Missyee

Everything i want in a scent. I just want to buy it for the rest of my life. Thats what i think about this fragrance. Not too overpowering. Lovely floral scent.

mel0399

I love this scent. It is so pretty, truly beautiful scent. I find the scent clean and citrusy with a pretty floral behind it. My biggest problem with it, its doesn't last long at all. A lot of money to spend on something that you have to spray so much, then only lasts 1hour, maybe 2. Not worth it to me, unfortunately.

mzilles

The first 3 minutes after application this perfume smells bright, sweet, fruity and somewhat floral. After a while, though, the brightness quickly goes away and fades into a warm and sweet woodiness. The fragrance loses it's personality in the dry down. The tail end of the fragrance is powdery and bland.

DKNY Golden Delicious starts out juicy and ends up leaving an after-taste. Not horrible, but not for me.

wajeeha85

It smells of sweet and ripe apples on me when I first spray it on then dries down to become a gorgeous floral. It's not a very complex fragrance - very simple, sweet and easy to like. Sadly, it doesn't last very long on me and I had to re-spray it after about 4-5 hrs. Personally I preferred fresh blossom, red delicious and the original be delicious but this one is nonetheless a great fragrance for the summer. A good buy for those who enjoy the dkny delicious line like myself.

dinosgirl3

This perfume is so fresh and clean - not quite what I was expecting from a fragrance marketed with the term "delicious" and an apple. I was expecting more sweetness, more juiciness and maybe a bit of tartness. But while it's not what I expected, it certainly is a delight! I get only a slight golden apple undertone with hints of warmth and sweetness. But for the most part, it smells I-just-stepped-out-of-the-shower clean.

Annica

Similiar to J´Adore but with less flowers and more fruits IMO. I like this one better.

Lune d'Ete

This indeed is very golden, very fizzy, feminine, floral, but not in a metallic-y screeching way, but in a style of J'adore, which I love. Except J'adore is much more expensive and slightly sharper in the jasmine department, this one is warmer and plushier. I am testing the longevity, and if it holds for 6 to 8 hours at least, like J'adore does on me, I will definitely buy it. Will go well with J'adore's body lotion, I think. Will provide an update on lasting power later.

Update:
Sprayed at 6:00 pm on my wrist, one spray only, went to bed around midnight - it was still there! Fainter, but very soft and plush, very seductive. I will be definitely getting it.

smelling_gr8

This is rather lovely and smells of very ripe golden delicious apples, in fact they are so juicy and so ripe they are almost mushy and oozing sweet delicious nectar. I can smell mirabelle plum and faint orange blossom but mainly this smells like a delicious warm apple pie.....yum yum yum. Not great longevity on my skin but not poor either, think it would work really well when layered with shower gel and body lotion.

damewolf13

Oh how I love the scent of orange blossoms in bloom!
This fragrance captures the aromas of spring in bloom.
The floral blend consists of the prevelant scent of blooming orange blossoms blending with lily of the valley, and orchids, combining with a fresh under current of fruits. This is a very warm, friendly, and inviting scent. Not intimidating or overpowering, but impossible to ignore. This scent is appropriate for almost any occasion, or season, and brings a warm sense of well being to the wearer.
Longevity is quite good on me.

lettyb76

This smells so sophisticated. If I was a business-woman, this is the perfume I would wear.

kasslee

Golden Delicious is a classy and radiant scent, it does not have the sourness of the original 'Be Delicious', instead it is a little sweeter and in my opinion a little more mature.
It still has the scent of apples, but as the name suggests, more 'golden' apples and less crisp and juicy. The drydown is a pleasant woody musk.

This scent makes me feel special while wearing it, and in my opinion can be worn day or night. An absolute favourite.

Longevity is average and the scent stays close to the skin.

(Editing because I've given it another chance):
I was excited to try this. I thought it would smell like spicy fall apples or something. Instead it smells very floral. However, I do smell a tiny bit of apples in the mix after trying it again. It's fairly pretty, although I do keep getting this odd sharp hairspray scent that wafts up every time I wear it, and this keeps me from really liking it. It's not the scrubber I initially thought it was, and it no longer gives me a headache when I wear it, but it's not quite for me. I like something with a little more "oomph" I guess!
*One last edit: Someone mentioned this smelling like Herbal Essence and that is RIGHT ON, that is the "hairspray" smell I keep detecting. Odd!

sweetstar1

I don't like Golden Delicious. I don't really detect any apple notes and it is more of a heavy scent.

pynkgirl

I tried this today at ULTA. It's really a nice fragrance but I have smelled this somewhere before. Maybe 5th Avenue by Elizabeth Arden? It's a nice clean fruity scent with great lasting power so far. I have had it on 3 hours now and it's going well. Smells like a tart apple with other fruits added. I don't now if I would spend money on this though.

Miertje87

Just tested this for the first time today and I am quite surprised by it, in a good way! I was expecting nothing special, just another flanker of be delicious (which I own but sadly never reach for anymore) but this is a very nice, warm, special scent. I can, ofcourse, smell the resemblence to be delicious, but find this way more alluring and sexy. I am even considering buying a bottle right now..

pauluch3

Golden delicious wonder!

As a matter of fact, I was a bit skeptical about yet another flanker by DKNY, but to my surprise it's really good. It's extremely feminine and bright, and very long-lasting. The aura that it creates around you is very subtle but noticeable. It's not a choker that can be recognized within a mile away. Reminds me Dior J'adore, but softer, and a little more fruitier. It's appropriate for an elegant dinner, office, or a date.

danci2502

one of my favourite perfumes... just perfect, refreshing and makes me feel good...

Ditto25

I love this! I have the fresh blossom juiced perfume. I think the golden delicious is so pretty. It is floral, slightly fruity and a bit woody. It works well in fall/winter but I think it could work all year round. I hated the original green apple version but golden is my favorite perfume of the moment. I couldn't wait until xmas I bought it already!

klcowart

This would be a pretty scent... on someone else. This disappears on my skin almost immediately. I can tell that it is a quality perfume, though I don't think it's very distinguishable. It's elegant, it's pretty, and on someone else maybe even glamorous. But... not for me. Not different enough. Then again, I'm kinda impartial to dominantly "apple-y" scents. Oh well.

kkunze07

This is much better on me than on the test strip. In fact...it's YUMMY on me. I wouldn't knock it without trying it on first.

blueviolet

Mmmmmmmm its so nice, i didnt expect this from DKNY. I dont like any of the other apples so this is a lovely surprise. Smells devine, the name suits it, golden. Imo one of the better in the golden category.
Im terrible at picking out notes, but there is def apple in there, but not the old typical shampoo smell, much more elegant.

HazelMae

This smells like shampoo: specifically the Garnier Fructis brand.

iLoVeTHe80s87

A magazine flyer sample of this (and the original "Delicious") fell out of the mag onto my floor last night, so I picked it up, opened it to sniff it, and put it on my night stand. Well I woke up in the morning and my whole room smelled so DELICIOUS! I wish they made a room fragrance oil of this or something! Man, so mouth-watering!

beatrix75

i have and i like so much its so creamy crispy yelo apple sweet but not overpowering its the best fron DK

charlottesmom

I like this but it smells almost exactly like Juicy Couture on me.

mimi88

like the smell but it is so common, so imitative and unoriginal floral. i have the feeling that i've smeled it many times ago. the smell contravenes the name a lot - there's nothing golden, nothing luxuriuos what associates with gold.

Mushana

I think its time to stop with the variations of Be Delicious. The idea may be great but it gets boring after two three of them and the original and Delicious Nights I believe will always the best ones......for their originality!

Joeloew

Its nice, fresh and smells floral but not exotic, unique and sexy on my skin.
However I noticed that its much more better than other DKNY Delicious Apples

Lil Mju

I got this at the duty free yesterday. I was planning to buy LÍmperatrice but my mom said it's not a scent for a 13 year old :S Whatever. So then she picked this out for me. It wasn't very expensive and she liked the scent, so I took this. Only when I sprayed it on myself (well, into my eye, actually :)) I figured it out... The most noticeable notes for me are apple, lily of the valley and lily. I can't say it's good for one particular season. I'd wear it in the spring'summer because the flowery and fruity notes make it fresh and juicy. It's good for the autumn and winter, too, because the woody/musky notes make it warm and cuddly. This is exactly what I was looking for, thank u mom! :D

lizaan

This is actually really nice! This is never a perfume that I had any interest in but I got a tester of it and decided to try it and it's really lovely. Don't know if it's buy worthy yet but def go check it out! It's warm and cozy but also fresh at the same time.

Liene

Mix of DKNY's traditional apple and any white flowers. A bit deeper and not so crisp as original Be Delicious, so also would work in colder seasons. Nice, safe and very usual, thus boring perfume.

beti123

Its sweet and cute, not so sharp but ok. Its absolute yellow apple but after 1,5 hour fades away.. Not warm and i think its wrong time to release this perfume it should be a spring scent.

jasmine28x

quite floral
can't smell any apple

poor longevity and sillage

tornerose27

this is very good .sweet litll frech

orchid_84

Unfortunately a bit of a disappointment for me. It starts off with a very sweet, juicy burst that smells kind of like herbal essences. At this stage, it's hard for me to really discern specific notes. It stays quite sweet, but I don't pick up on any apple...or anything fruity for that matter.

A strong, sweet orange blossom/jasmine scent is what dominates. Up to that point I don't mind it...it's nice but nothing unique. Then the drydown moves it into the "dislike" category for me....it becomes a fuzzy, chemical, bland shampoo scent (somewhat like the drydown of Incanto Bliss or J'Adore). Overall, I would characterize this as a sweet, non-descript floral scent. It's not crisp or clean, and yet it doesn't evoke any sort of warm autumn coziness either. Fresh Blossom remains the only offering from the Be Delicious line that I enjoy.

sinesthesya

i don't know, it smells good but nothing different or special, and there's nothing fruity to me

Habanita

This is not for me. I guess the "Be Delicious" fans will like it, because it has this basic apple note that almost all of these scents have. It's a softer and autumn kind of scent and it is not unpleasant, but I'm simply not into the "base line" of the DKNY Delicious scents.

PS: I tested it again on my skin today. The staying power is quite ok. It is a Delicious scent that I like more than some other Delicious directions, but it still reminds me of Shampoo or something similar.

PPS: I have a 15ml sample now and what I like to add is: the staying power is only about 1 to 2 hours on me. Also I get a rather masculine drydown. I still think of shampoo when the scent is in its' top and heart notes. So I wouldn't buy more of it :)

magdapetrine

This one smelled fantastic on the paper tester i got, but sadly, on my skin it smelled horrible. Totally wrong chemistry for me. Can't wait to smell it on some other woman, though, to see what is can really be like :)

missk

This is in my book, apple perfection. The original DKNY Be Delicious, was for me, too sharp and green and the Red Delicious, while I loved it, turned all berry jam and shampoo on my skin. DKNY Golden Delicious is different, it's more believable, a much less synthetic interpretation of a crisp apple.

The apple note smells like the real thing. A yellow apple picked straight from the tree. Juicy, crisp and refreshing. Floral notes have been intermixed into this composition, with orange blossom, lily of the valley and rose creating a soft and clean finish.

I can easily wear this fragrance and not feel nauseated. I don't usually wear fruity scents, so for me to like DKNY Golden Delicious is a huge thing. It has a slight pear accord as well, that makes me adore this fragrance even more.

This is not necessarily a teen fragrance, I find elements of it somewhat mature, and I mean that in a good way. It would wear well all year 'round, perhaps even being versatile enough to be worn formally. It's wonderfully inoffensive and incredibly lasting on the skin. Really, what more could you want?

liat

Far better than any other DKNY Be Delicious frag! It's like when the original Be Delicious meets Be Delicious Fresh Blossom. Nicely done and with decent lasting power. Fresh & light but a little deeper than other members of this fragrance family.

This was such a nice surprise.

Eaugirlspirit

I definitely agree with the previous reviewer. This fragrance does nothing to comply with its name "golden delicious"...I was expecting something as warm as Burberry the original EDP plus a nice note of apple. This is definitely a floral, clean smell, but I was left wanting more of the juiciness and warmth that a fragrance named like this should definitely have.

eilismaireg

synthetic, cheap and boring with no crisp freshness or juiciness, just the usual mainstream stink. How did the same company that made Chaos, Donna Karan, Gold and Black Cashmere get rid of those wonderful scents and carry on producing flanker after flanker of this anonymous rubbish?? Capitalism over quality reigns supreme!

Whit

I tested this the other day and to me, it really does smell like golden delicious apples. Not a bad smell, but just not for me. I have tried to love DK frags for a long time, but the only one that I remotely like is DKNY Pure. Sorry for the (kinda) negative review guys, but even though I love to eat golden delicious apples, I just don't want to smell like them. :P

leenie1989

This is the first of the 'be delicious' range that I really like. Much more fresh than the others, and floral rather than fruity. Smells beautiful on my skin for day wear and has good lasting power, DKNY has finally brought out a fragrance that impresses me!

andrada2003

Got a bunch of mini-perfumes couple of days ago so I'm in heaven...:)
One of them is DKNY Golden Delicious.I wore it first, because I was kinda curious how is it comparing to Be Delicious which I have some years ago.
Not my style. Blank, boring, lifeless. I almost forgot I was wearing it after one hour or so. Absolutely no drydown on me. To be gifted to somebody younger...

Jillzilla

The apple note fades along with the other top notes. After that, it becomes a musky floral with a sandalwood base. I'm not sure my skin is making the most of this one, but I enjoy it more than the original Be Delicious!

Alinaboo

Once again I've only smelled this via the new issue of Cosmo but it smells pretty good (if you ignore the glue and paper smell) I can't wait to actually test this one out!
