This is 100% baby powder. I really don’t get anything else at all. I ADORE Cuir Beluga and this is not anything like it.

Siennai

Heavy on the patchouli which makes it smoky and spicy.

AveParfum

Powdery musky amber. I can *kind of* see how it reminds people of Musc Ravageur, but Musc Infini is more powdery and isn’t animalic at all. It also doesn’t have the spice of MR. It becomes a bit sweeter over time as more tonka+vanilla comes out. It will give you a fluffy aura with all the musk in it. Smells elegant but could be too much powder and musks for some. I love it and own a 50ml bottle.

SmellsFargo

I love, love the smell of this fragrance; I really do. It takes the best parts of musc raveguer and cuir beluga and blends them into a wonderfully sweet, powdery opulent experience.

I just wish the performance on me was better. This baby shines the less restrictive clothing you have on, which correlates to summer and spring but this is too sweet for those warm seasons imo. But the winter/fall is when you wear heavier clothing so this is part of the "overspray" division I'm afraid.

That's not to say I wish it were louder or anything; it's wonderful in it's current form, it's just what it is with this one. Sample first and see if to your liking.

Personally speaking, I get like 7-9 hours out of.this with the strongest sillage and projection in the first hour and a half then skin scent most of the way.

HollywoodNovaBaby

This is gorgeous! I definitely get the reference to Cuir Beluga but thus has an animalic tang to it I guess like MR even though I barely got any animalic qualities out of that one. It’s very light though, I wish it was a bit louder because I love how this smells. Similar to Tom Ford Urban Musk.

supersaiyan

I agree that this has the powdery quality of Cuir Beluga - it smells as if the suede was removed from that scent. Musc Infini is sweet, sort of vanillic (from the benzoin, likely), quite musky on me, and comforting from the baby smell. The musk a touch in the animalic direction - not sweaty, but sweet and sexy. The musk is reminiscent of the first formulation of Musc Ravageur, but Musc Infini has none of the spices MR does. Musc Infini shares qualities with my all time favourite scents, no wonder I like it. It’s very soft spoken though, I can’t comment on lasting power yet. Contrary to a lot of the other reviews, it’s primarily musky and vanillic on my skin, amber is a supporting quality.

This creation is the craziest blend I have seen ever , it's two famous perfumes in one bottle,
musc ravageur and Cuir beluga, the mighty union, unbelievable creation I love it so much
it's very long-lasting and refined at the same time with high-quality ingredients no doubt.

I agree with the review of "Aveparfum'' 100% right.

overall :9/10

Mez0Nez

It somewhat reminds me of Shalimar Parfum Initial, and I understand why people mentioned Cuir Beluga in the powdery bottom. but It has more sweet and hot spices like Tonka, Benzoin, and Cinnamon, so to me, It is a mixture of Musc Ravaguer and Cuir Beluga.

-I can see why others point out similarities with Frederic Malle-Musc Ravageur.
-It's alright i guess.
-Soft spicy, feminine rose patchouli with a whiff of vanilla peeking through in the background.
-Though I must say, you'd probably get better bang for your buck with something from the Parfums de Empire lineup (if you dont mind slightly masculine-leaning scents).
-If you're more into feminine soft spicy ones, I'd recommend Histoires de Parfum- Ambre 114 over this. (-)

This perfume made my nose hurt. And I've been smelling a lot of perfumes. This is the first that has caused my nose to ache.

Scent is OK, very mellow and powdery.

bintTapputi

I agree that this is Guerlainesque, but modern and and more subtle. A lovely nearly animalic musk that would be right for almost all occasions. 8/10

Carpe Noctem

At first it was so bright, musky and happy that I really loved it; thought I'd buy it because the musc part is so great. Then it got more powdery, and then to my surprise, I couldn't stop smelling Guerlain's Cuir Beluga! I smelled my arms and was quite shocked that the drydown smells exactly like it to my nose. I'm also surprised to see that people voted that it smells more like Musc Ravageur than C.B. I have that one also and I don't get that connection at all.

I already have Cuir Beluga so I don't need this one, and you might even get more for your money with a bottle of C.B. but Musc Infini is a great perfume and I'd add it to my collection if I didn't know about the other.

MUST like powder for this one.

I very much enjoyed this scent as it was reminiscent of pleasant feminine musk perfumes that my mother wore when I was small...so I enjoyed that for a few hours, but the late drydown many hours in, turned to a cheap vanilla milkshake in a hot car. It was almost a top 10 for me, and then it turned on me. My chemistry has the tendency to make things very desserty gourmandish which is less of a problem for me if the notes are not leaning so synthetic. I hope there are people out there who get to wear this the way it is meant to be worn !!!! It just can't be me.

gardeniapetunia

The tonka bean comes across as tobacco to me and the initial blast- first 20 minutes or so is sweet tobacco and musk. I had to change my shirt I couldn't take it anymore but I can also see others liking this.

curlykitty8

At first spray, I was a little girl once again, having turned the metal cap of a can of sugar laden flowered talcum powder sold at Woolworth's. I can almost hear my mom telling me to put it down, laughing at my
silly 9 year old face.
Now that Musc Infini is drying down, all that powder has dissipated and there remains a somewhat rubbery sweetness with no evidence of musk whatsoever. I refuse to ever put an age or gender to a fragrance but this one certainly evokes visions of my lace collared elementary school librarian and my prim piano teacher.
I imagine this fragrance could be exquisite on someone else with a totally different chemistry and memory!

giampaolo.baldoni

Wow! Very Guerlainesque ❤ (it reminded me of Cuir Beluga) tonka, vanilla, ambrette with a slightly Rosy halo. Super classy and extremely wearable. Powdery heaven!

Malleable

I wanted to like this but it just comes on too strong for me. The talcum powder smell is overwhelming.

alberto1964

A scent of déjà-vu, nothing personal, sometimes a little dated, musk treated too heavily. Ex Nihilo is a great perfume house and this is the first that does not meet expectations.

nottheaverageidiot

As others have noted, Musc Infini it opens with a sharp, nay retro, citrusy note. The opening lasts mere minutes, followed by the rosy and musky heartnotes -- also short-lived.
Eventually Musc Infini becomes a smooth, sweet, strong blend of mainly vanillic and powdery, musky notes. So powdery, in fact, that I'm reminded by that one time I inhaled talcum powder as a child. Not a big fan of benzoin (Coromandel, shudder) I was pleased to note that Ex Nihilo treats it with restraint here. Worth noticing is that the musc(s) used do not turn sharp/sour to my nose, as is often the case.

Longevity: herculean
Sillage: pretty loud (one spray on my scarf had it smelling strongly enough for others to take notice for four days)

Personally I didn't enjoy Musc Infini. I found it a bit sickening to be honest. Sweet talcum and powdered vanilla sugar is what came to mind.

sphynxcat

Primarily Tonka and vanilla, some white musk. The lime is noticeable in the beginning and it smells a little weird and disjointed, and I’ll say it doesn’t do it as well as Shalimar, but at least it makes it interesting. That doesn’t last long. What I smell for much of its life is something similar to Reminiscence Tonka. Slightly nutty with a honey aspect, not overly sweet, vanillic, and a little musky. It smells pleasant but not interesting enough for the hefty price tag. Out of 5 samples that I received from an SA from this line, this one smells the most well-composed. I’m not liking the rest all that much.

Fragrance -Musc Infini Ex Nihilo
Bottle from - 2015

Musc Infini is a sophisticated, warm, refined and classy mix of vanilla, musk, amber and resins with a hint of citrus notes in the openining, followed by patchouli and intriguing rose in the middle and tonka in the drydown. The performance is great. It has some similarities to Amber Sky by Ex Nihilo and I can detect the Ex Nihilo DNA but this is a completely different beast.I would say a tamed beast.

Longevity - 10/10(10+hours)
Silage/Projection - 9/10(excellent projection and silage for the first 3-4 hours)
Weather - autumn,winter and spring
Age - 26+

Skrewface

Sitting and holding both scents on each hands.
At the very beginning I concidered them to "smell alike".

Ex-Nihilo's Musc Infini is like the less sweeter sibling to what Musc Ravageur by Frederic Malle is.

A sultry, musky scent. One can tell it's longevity by just nosing the nozzle.

SeraphinaH

The first moments after application and bright and citrusy, I get tart citrus, like lime and grapefruit with a soapy musk at the end. As it starts drying down the citrusy sparkling note fades to a dusty rose and powdery ambrette seed smell mixed with the faintest hint of green patchouli. The cool green powdery smell eventually warms up to this addictive warm spicy vanilla musk. The last thing you smell is the musk. Its really quite beautiful the way each note takes a turn. All the notes listed in the description come out at some point. I don't find this to be a linear perfume at all! I cannot stop sniffing my wrists. I think this is a very special perfume.

wow! wont give a full review since im testing for the 1 st time tonight but it opens just like grape soda! i love it :D

sotiriosc

If you can get find this buy it!

that's all I need to say.

Delicatenose

Yummy musk !I have purchased the Ex nihilo 's travel kit and reached for this warm enveloping musk the other day as winter seemed to drag on forever and I needed a hug. Just like slipping a favorite jumper on , it instantly felt cosy and comforting . Powdery, vanillic, beautifully sensual, and a lovely trail that lingers on your scarf ...mmmh

alfarom

Musc Infini opens with an extremely classic bergamot / citrus combo immediately joined by an almost iris-y ambrette seed note. It then slowly evolves into a powerful and extremely long lasting resiny amber with a moderately sweet vanilla and smooth woody notes. The overall effect is pretty familiar and sort of Shalimaresque. More than Shalimar itself, I'd rather say it would make a good, hypothetical Shalimar flanker.

Very classic, very french. If you're fine with that and with the hefty price tag, give Musc Infini a chance because it's good stuff.
