This is back!!!!!! Fragrancenet.com has it, for about $35.
It's a new packaging (not as pretty) but the same scent. The new bottle is a boring, clear glass rectangle. Very sad, since the red glass bottle in the shape of a door was sooooo pretty!
It's also available on the Elizabeth Arden au website overseas.
My batch codes is from June 2023.

I ran to the site to express how much I love this. If you’re a fan of Si you will love this. It’s not an exact dupe but it has the same addictiveness to it. It’s so sexy and beautiful. I was surprised to read “eau de toilette” it’s so strong and has crazy sillage and longevity. I’ve been looking for something that ressembles Si for so long and this has officially become my new favourite perfume and signature scent.

BekkyWithTheGoodScents

My all time fave perfume and I am devastated it has been discontinued.
I love everything about it, the sweetness and sexiness of it is delish! It lasts all day and I cannot fault it.
Oh and yes Si is very similar but not quite as good.

yaseminpol

I have a new 100 ml bottle of this perfume. If anyone is interested, I sell it for a very low price.
It just doesn't suit me and was a blind buy. Love the design tho.

Gemsense

If I die in fall weather, I want to be buried doused in this!!! This is to die for!!!! Mmmm so sexy, sensual, scrumptious… the best of the Red Door collection… even better than Si although they’re sisters and almost twins.

partynauseous

plum liquor, praline and ripe blood oranges atop a bed of carnal roses.. such a gorgeous scent!!

i've been on a rose kick lately and i do love myself a good red perfume bottle, so i bought it. like 98 percent of my purchases, this was a blind buy, and a totally great one at that : i find it really sophisticated and warm. while i can't really say much about the comparisons to Sì (as i've only ever smelled it once like... forever ago...), i think i recall liking it, so do with that what you may!

i had a hard time at initial spray as it's really deep (probably those boozey plum and exotic/citrus accords), but it does soften up after a while and the rose and mahogany really ground everything together. i'm not the best at identifying flowers so the jasmine & freesia are sorta out the picture, nonetheless it's a beautiful concotion! super versatile too, as i've worn it both during winter and spring (but let me just say, cold temperatures really make it blossom into something regal). the praline gives it a nutty creaminess, and on me it lasts about 5-6 hours, which i personally find great.

Always Red reminds me of the garden of Eden. think Lana Del Rey's Tropico short film with Shaun Ross. it's beautiful, i love it.
apparently it's been discontinued but i managed to find a second hand 50ml bottle for 25 bucks.

tldr; perfect and hard to find, if you can get your hand on it, please do!

The opening of this fragrance is very fruity with the dark, luscious plum, sweet juicy orange and the bright, tart passionfruit. I enjoy that the fruits balance one another giving the fragrance both lightness and depth. Without the other fruits the plum could become cloying and weighed down, while the plum gives the lighter, tart fruits some needed depth. The rose is present very early and all the way into the drydown. Its is a rich red rose that combines with the fruits, becoming jammy and delicious. The combo almost smells like a rich red wine, especially with the addition of the woods. I don't notice the other florals at all. Also the base notes stay pretty far in the background. The praline contributes a bit of sticky sweetness.

This is a sexy grown woman fragrance. It's not dated or old-fashioned but it has a level of maturity that may turn off the highschool and college crowd. It has a playful sultriness that makes it a great night out fragrance. I have worn this fragrance most of the year. It performs great in both cold and warm weather. I have never tried it on a really hot summer day though. I always worry it will become overly sweet and overwhelming in the hot humid summers where I live.

The performance is excellent. It easily lasts all day (10+hours) and has moderate to strong projection for more than half of the wear. Even once it settles it still projects within arms length. When I have applied it for the evening, it is still present on my skin the next morning and in my hair and clothes until they are washed.

The first time I smelled Always Red I noticed the similarity to Armani Si. The note breakdown is very different between the two, but they still seem to smell very similar...especially in the drydown. Always Red is much brighter and syrupy in the opening and mid, while Si has a woody note that is present throughout that I never notice in Always Red. It is even a little more similar to the Si Intenses and le Parfum which are all fruitier, though darker and richer than the original.

The packing is fine. The red ombre is pretty and the bottle feels nice and sturdy with an unremarkable atomiser. The cap is garbage though. It fits very wonky/wobbly and loosely. This isn't a bottle that is safe to pick up by the cap. I also wouldn't travel with it because the cap will definitely come off in your bag.

It seems it is getting harder to find so the great prices it has been available may be harder to come by. Overall, Always Red is a beautiful fragrance that is great value. I would repurchase if I should finish my current bottle.

Has this really been discontinued??

Cascadia Ecotopia

This has really appealing gourmet desert notes, especially for one who knows very little about such scents. Could be a great intro to EA for younger fans of balanced fruity sweet, relatively long lasting, unapologetically feminine, modern focused, real deals. It isn’t an update of the original Red Door at all, maybe a nod and wink, paying it forward, hoping to be a newer type of classic. Sure 🤗 tickles all my boxes, lol. I was hoping for a figgy or plum pudding fragrance for the holidays, yet not heavy, pungent, incense forward, treacle like, or super spicy. It’s more of a private festivity, not year’s end plummy, yet all the other hopes fit, and it’s delectable in an uplifting, tingly, not super earthy way. There’s plenty of classics dominating the heavy hitters earthy category already, from Tabu through Youth Dew on to the original Shalimar, and all possible spin-offs. Yes, this is naturally classy! It doesn’t come with the baggage of a legacy in history. Nor does Always Red give off the dreaded ( to me ) I Am Too Beautiful and Seriously Glamorous for my PERFUME vibes those 🕵️ Pillars of Society can weigh mere mortals down with. Arden frags are often overlooked for being mainstream, predictable, mature, affordable, not designer fancy enough. I respectfully disagree, especially in this unique case! I haven’t seen this except online though, must have missed it when new; it’s fairly recent, and might surprise others as it did me. It is more versatile and lasting than I expected for this type of sweeter but not sugary scent, especially these days.

I have to agree that Always Red is one of the best from Elizabeth Arden. The praline and chocolate notes are beautifully blended with the plum and orange. Great plum, not grapey at all. While this has a Valentine's Day vibe from the florals and chocolate, it's wearable even today in August (in the evening). The passion fruit really lifts Always Red into an almost carbonated, bubbly sort of feeling. It's ever so slightly tropical, not heavy. A big reason this scent works is that they were light on the rose. Elizabeth Arden in general is not a house that pushes rose. For me, rose does not do well in the extreme triple digit temperatures we have in June, July, and August here; in all the other months, rose is a favorite note.

I believe I already reviewed this about four years ago. Well, it's still amazing!

No one else seems to notice, but this really reminds me of the long discontinued Avon masterpiece called "Extraordinary." Very similar vibe.

vixen1995

This, In my opinion, Is probably the best scent Elizabeth Arden has created by far. It's rich, Deep and sexy, Also sweet but not too much. I've had total strangers compliment me on it. Has amazing performance, Could fill a room. I haven't tried Armani's Si yet, So I can't say if they would smell the same to me, Apparently they do to a lot of people here! This used to be really cheap, But it looks like the price has gone up a lot, Maybe discontinued? Glad I have a big 100ml bottle, It's a must have in my collection.

This and kayali vanilla had a baby called si intense 2021

PlanetGrl

Simply put, this is like Si Intense with that intoxicating plum note (my favorite) turned up and with much improved longevity. Sí felt weaker than an EDT, like a splash or cologne maybe, so much that I couldn’t justify buying it. Sí Intense wears like a very basic EDP, and this to me wears like a very solid performing EDP. I get a good six hours out of it in the fall, but haven’t tried it in warmer weather. If you happen upon the moisturizer as well when layered it will last through my entire day. Sí, Intense, and Always Red are among the most elegant fragrances I’ve ever met.

Lotte_Liese

Enchanting... I'm wearing this to bed on a warm summer night and this smells enchanting. The blast of the juiciest plum and blood orange combo you could think of in the opening followed by rose and praline- it all comes together so wonderfully to form a sweet (but not cloying), alluring, feminine and interesting fragrance.
I couldn't detect any white florals, perhaps in cooler weather they won't be overpowered by the plum and blood orange.
I'm glad there's no vanilla in the base else it would smell too familiar (Armani's Si).
There's nothing extraordinarily special about this fragrance, but for the price, moderate performance, and its versatility, it works.

Update: 11 months later and my views have changed. I have given this girl time to come out of her shell and now I can see that there is something special, deliciously feminine and alluring about this fragrance. If you will allow me to suggest the perfect time and scene to wear this. It's that time of the month when you start ovulating- you feel most attractive, like a juicy pear ready for picking. Put on your favourite red lipstick and a feel good outfit (no sweats), play Chris de Burg's Lady in Red on Spotify as background music, dim the room light and apply Always Red to your neck, wrist and elbow pulse points. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued.

Gemsense

I thought this was only for February winter weather but I'm trying it now on a 70 degree warm spring day and it's lovely! It's not sharp n masculine at all but I can't really trust my nose anymore as my sense of smell is not totally recovered from COVID that I caught back in fall. So I might be smelling it and thinking it smells so lovely while others may be assassinated by my scent as I walk by.
It's deep fresh and mysterious. Yet slightly sweet and a bit spicy. I'm really loving it! It's a beautiful rose dressed up very nicely. Smells nothing like og red door.

Seneya

Always Red was the first perfume I bought with my own money, so it will always be special for me. I blind buy most of my perfumes and this wasn't any different. The perfume bottle looked very attractive to me but I wasn't sure about the notes as I was just a newbie who knew nothing about notes. I gave this a try and I immediately fell in love! A lot of interesting things were going on all at once. When I first bought it and tried it on my skin this smelled floral and powdery, the rose note was prominent. Today, when I sprayed this on myself again, it smelled fruity and jammy. Definitely got the hint of orange, rose, plum, and quite unusually pomegranate. I dunno if it's my body chemistry or I was just a noob in the perfume world.

This perfume is perfect for me as I enjoyed all the notes altogether. There wasn't any off-putting note that made me feel sick. My mum and my bf liked this a lot. Unfortunately, this doesn't last a long time on my skin but stays quite well on fabric. A dark, mysterious, and feminine to the core perfume that I use a lot for every occasion. Will definitely repurchase it!

Btw readers, if you have any other perfumes that smell like Always Red or have similar notes, do let me know :)

lanaconstantinova

I don't have this perfume, but I think I want it since my favourite perfume was Euphoria for several years. I find this one smells similar as my colleague wears it. I disagree that it doesn't last long. Most of us are getting used to the smell within 2 hours, and you just don't notice it anymore... I have now several niche fragrances, but my heart craves for the cheapies like Euphoria and this one. It reminds me of a perfume I used once as a kid. And I am still looking for it. More than 40 years ago I used just one drop of that extrait de parfum on my fur and it lasted many years. That quality and the composition I can never find again. The lady at that time owned many, do at 75 yo she can't remember the name. It's sort of combination of 5th Avenue, Cerruti 1881, Elle by YSL, Euphoria CK. They are all having similarities but the base notes remind me a lot Elixir by Roja Dove . I think it could be a vintage Guerlain perfume.

b.a.denney

I have Armani Si and I find this to be "reminiscent of", rather than an actual dupe. I'd say it's overall weaker than Armani Si, which might be a good thing. I find Si to be too strong due to some note I'm not in love with in it. This seems to lack that note, but I can't say I love this perfume either. My chemistry seems to somewhat amplify wood notes, or maybe it's just that I'm sensitive to wood notes as they aren't my favorite. This does seem to have a wood base, probably from the mahogany note listed. I just sprayed it a while ago, so I'll see how it wears and if it grows on me.

Years ago this went "skunky" on me, which isn't happening now, and probably why my new bottle got relegated to the cool dark closet for a few years. Sometimes it pays to pull out those perfumes that didn't work for you a while back and retest them. Not sure if I'll keep it or pass it on to family......

LanaDelSlay

Possibly the best perfume of all time. Longevity, sillage perfect, lasts days. Scent, perfection, smells so niche, expensive, sweet, sexy, dark and beautiful

Gemsense

In warmer weather this is sharp, brash, masculine, and headache inducing. In -10 degrees Fahrenheit, this is sweet, spicy, full bodied, smoky delight. I never thought I'd be able to wear this one but in this below zero weather this fragrance is at her very best! You even get the tropical experience they claim is in there. Which I didn't believe from all the other times I tried this.
I feel bad for those that don't get real cold winters because they're missing out on so many gorgeous fragrances that they will never know, unless they get to test them in true cold climates. Perfumes do not smell the same in every season or every climate and temperature.
It does resemble Si by the smoky spiciness but this one is sweeter and warmer.

Dawnya7b

I blind bought this because of the comparisons between it and Si intense in the black bottle which I also blind bought at the same time and they arrived one day apart. This definitely reminds me of the original Si. It is very harsh and sharp in the opening and I slightly struggled with the opening the first couple of times I wore it. The opening to Si intense (black bottle smells way different but the dry down is like 90% similar) For the price, I only paid 14 dollars (amazing deal) this is a steal and way worth the money. I did see that in the US you can purchase it for anywhere from $20-35. I don't stuggle with the opening anymore and quiet enjoy it now, i should mention that i also struggle with the weird opening of the original si as well. This is a very complex fragrance to me. It has so many stages even the deep dry down is different than the dry down, and yes it does last days and days on clothing and hair not just on me but my family and friends who went out and bought themselves a bottle. If this was packaged as a flanker of Si and was sold for over $100 it would be flying off the shelves like crazy. Get yourself a bottle and thank me later. Fruity bomb with some vanilla with great performance!

Mariamaija Amélie

Doesn't last long on my skin, but only a few perfumes actually do, so...
Still, I like it a lot. It is warm, a little fruity sweet, seductive and addictive, I think. It reminds me of a softer (and more wearable) version of Armani Si. I have ordered the Always Red Femme version, and look so much forward to receiving that one.

Miss Kittens

This was a gift from my mom. I must say this was the perfume that opened my eyes to an existence of deep, mysterious, complex notes. Blood orange and plum feel jammy to me in a perfectly balanced tone. This perfume bottle represents the juice flavor perfectly. I always reach for this 1, although the longevity on me not so great, it will linger on clothes much longer. This perfume exudes confidence.

Zana1970

Thousand times better than armani si intense, for me..they share only the opening..always red stays linear, which I adore, Si intense becomes more vanilla..and within 1 hour Si intense is completly gone! Always red stays with me at least 7 hours..on clothes for ever! It is a keeper forever..I am on my second bottle..it was a blindbuy..this is seductivnes in a bottle..ohhhh Lord! Alwaysss Red and White tea, the best of Elizabeth Arden..and the discountinued (what a shame!!!) Velvet Red Door!

Marjo1975

I blind bought this fragrance. To me it smells like sweet red wine. It’s old fashioned and even at 46 years old, I don’t feel like I can pull it off. I hate it anyway. Personally, I prefer to drink the wine lol

Kittycat63

Despite one reviewer claiming that this is a perfume to not blind buy, I DID blind buy a big 100ml (3.4oz) bottle from a website here in the UK for a bargain price of £10 (about $14), based on the mainly positive reviews for it here and on the fact that I already like several of the Elizabeth Arden perfumes (Arden Beauty, Splendor and Tea Tree Exotic).

My perfume arrived this morning and I excitedly tore into the packaging in my eagerness to smell it for the first time and to test it on my skin. I have to admit, I was very disappointed that the first blast of it was almost overwhelmingly, to my nose, patchouli'ish, despite the fact that patchouli isn't listed as one of the notes on here. I DETEST patchpoopy normally and usually steer clear of perfumes containing it, unless perhaps it's only a little in the very base notes but normally, just as with artificial sweetener in drinks, etc, I can detect it from a mile away and find it repellant. So, my heart sank at the patchpoopy blast but I could still smell the intense fruitiness of the other notes through the dreaded P note and, of course, spritzed one semi-spritz on my wrist and used a little of that to dab on my neck too. I added another spritz about an hour later. 12 hours later I can still smell it just as much as I did at first, on my wrist and on my clothes, and I'm not disliking it!

At first usage, Always Red is not the type of perfume I would normally be drawn to as I gravitate to lighter, fresher, cleaner fruity florals such as Gucci Guilty, Dior Blooming Bouquet, Lancome o d'Azur and Acqua di Parma Colonia. So, if I had sniffed Always Red in a department store perfume section I may have avoided it, also because it's a bit reminiscent of Alien, which is so horribly ubiquitous and which I absolutely detest with a vengeance. It has to be the patchoopy that's similar! However, I'm very glad I did risk blind buying a bottle as it is growing on me after 12+ hours of wear on the 1st day.

Like many reviewers, I'd describe Always Red as smelling fairly dense and jammy, a bit boozy, quite deep and in some ways intense but not to hugely stink bomb levels. I disagree with many though who compare it to Si which I've sniffed a few times in department stores and I don't recall it smelling at all like this! As mentioned above though, it definitely reminds me of Alien in some ways but to me is a lot more likeable and (no pun intended!!) is far less alienating! Another perfume it reminds me of is a Chopard one I blind bought over the internet a few years ago which was in a heart shaped bottle but I can't remember the name of it and it since went AWOL (and it may have since been discontinued). That perfume also had the intense fruity 'jamminess' of Always Red but was less likeable to me.

I'd sum Always Red up by saying it's a dense fruity floral with some spiciness, probably from unlisted patchouli, and it's perfume'y, not clean or soapy, but not in an obnoxious, overpowering way. It smells a lot more expensive than the bargain price I paid for it and a little definitely goes a long way and seems to last forever. On my skin the perfume doesn't change much from hour to hour and pretty much smells the same all the way through, maybe getting a little softer after a few hours. It's not a skin scent and the sillage is good. It's wearable day or night, used with a light hand, and through any season. It's probably best not for tweenies but for assured, confident women from their 20's upwards. It's quite sexy and I think a lot of men would love to smell this on a woman. Oh, and I think it IS a safe blind buy given the price point and how long it wears for. I'm glad I bought mine as it's already growing on me and will get fairly regular use!

Pebblesjebbles333

I got Always Red Femme first before this and i adore that scent so much. I was hoping this smells similar. Well, i wasn’t disappointed because it truly smells very similar to Femme. I sprayed Always Red in my left palm and Femme in my right and honestly if you have one there is no need to get the other one. I think Always Red smells a bit more syrupy, rich and sweet whilst Femme is a bit more crisp, fresh and spicy. But the difference is not that much. Both smells amazing! If i have to choose between the two i think i’d go for the original.

I don’t have Armani Si but i have its supposed dupe, In Woman by La Rive. In Woman smells similar to Always Red too but its the less sweet version. All of them are cheap awesome scents! Worth a blind buy if you adore Si. But Always Red is tops my fave amongst the three. Such a lovely intoxicating and addicting scent.

This perfume is an instant favorite. This is the kind of fruity gourmand that i adore. Every time i catch whiffs of it, it makes me feel giddy. It smells more expensive than it really is. There is a luxurious and warm vibe to it. Longevity and sillage is also good. ❤️

AndreaValerie

I think I previously misjudged this fragrance, as I have revisted it since my first review many many times and am halfway through my first bottle and desperate to repurchase it. This is gorgeous! It's so sweet, warm and syrupy. The perfect wintery bold woman scent for the festive period. I can't wait to try this when it's colder and see how it develops then but for now it's a very heavy ambery/ praline/ sweet berry smelling scent and I adore it. And the sillage on this, I will get compliments on this from downstairs of the house when I'm upstairs its strong, and yes can get very heavy when overspraying but I couldn't recommend this enough!

Ginaab09

Oh I looooooove this perfume. This is very inexpensive but smells like money! A very sophisticated, well balanced and delicious perfume. It’s a juice plum enhanced by sweet floral notes, very long lasting and good sillage. I always get compliments when I wear it. I don’t think you can go wrong with it😁

jezojezo26

this perfume makes me feel sexy and desirable. it smells so good and feminine and sophisticated but jot in a tame way. It is loud enough to get you noticed but soft enough to mot overwhelm people around you.

sharon642

The perfume is similar to Armani C, I think this similarity is given by the notes of chocolate with plum, the smell is good but very sweet, you need to use it carefully so that you do not smell the whole office:))))))

Mysticmiah1970

Received this today after seeing reviews on here and youtube.
This similarities to armani si are spot on, always red is maybe just a tad sharper and not as smooth but definitely a beautiful perfume in its own right.
I pick up the plum and orange and another fruit instantly before my beautiful jasmine makes her appearance with the rose and another floral i cant quite pinpoint but its stunning. On the dry down i get the amber and woods mmm its lovely. Can't believe i only paid £20 for a 100ml bottle it smells alot more expensive, ill definitely be keeping this constantly in my fairly big perfume collection.

Kisa21

You might as well get Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy. They're both made by Revlon, and this fragrance has similar notes to Midnight Fantasy.

TonkaBeanTruck

Dark, jamy, sweet rose!

Almost identical to, Sí Intense

SummerRose

Very similar to Armani Si at a fraction of the cost!

who.am.i.you

Beneath the syrupy fruits (sweet plum wine, blood orange marmalade, passion fruit puree) at first blast is something that smells familiar, and I've said it before & see others have as well...that Alien woods & jasmine! The sweetness is similar to La Vie Est Belle, Black Opium, Angel, Sofia Vergara Love. It's very deep & woody at the base and is missing that Vanilla note common to those other sweet scents, and isn't really a musky scent. It's a warm composition for sure. Surprised by the quality of this cheapie. I also get a tang of sweet freshness beneath the dripping sweets, which I'm thinking might be the freesia. The drydown becomes a woody amber, praline, rose & jasmine scent, but doesn't change too drastically from the opening, just toned down on the syrups. I'd say this is a safe blind buy or gift for people who enjoy the aforementioned scents, or other sweet and floral woody fragrances. This comes off as sweet, thick, and warm. It's great, but not eye-roll good for me. I own many scents that are sweet and this isn't terribly original, so it's a like for me, but a very very strong like (if there was a "really like" button between "like" and "love", I would click that).

Edit:
I was scrolling through perfume reviews & saw a review for Euphoria and something clicked within me that this shares similarities with that scent as well. I'd add that into the list of similar scents, but minus any sort of praline or whilte florals. Something about the opening and drydown share similarities with Always Red. Maybe it's the fruits & amber woodiness that are similar.

ONE MORE Edit:
This becomes super muted after 2 hours and at 3, almost is completely gone on my skin, so the longevity isn't too great, but it IS very low in price, so reapplying is always an option. I think I settled onto only a Like for this now that I've experienced that.

Katchele

I’m so happy I bought this.
Sweet, fruity yummy.
A little bit creamy to me.
Lasted overnight on my skin 😊

Yimyim2525

I blind bought small bottle of this one as failed too many time ,but then this turn into success , easy to wear , polite perfume I think it’s safe buy blind ,in my opinion this perfume just stay in a middle, opening a bit warm and spicy smoke wood then disappears quickly and turn to sweet powdery vanilla only if you concentrate enough you can pick up some chemical smell but only faintly , I like it .

AndreaValerie

I sprayed one spray of this on my wrist, that was around 12pm and I had to even rub it off because of how much came out of the bottle, since then I have changed clothing, and it’s been almost 8 hours and I can still smell this from time to time. I totally see what people mean by it being a more grown up gourmand this isn’t a sugary sweet but a more rich type of sweetness and very heavy, potentially headache inducing if you overspray. I enjoy it, it smells like a deep, rich praline plum with amber on my skin, with maybe some indistinguishable white florals in the background. Pretty linear, very long lasting, but I’ve just turned 20 so I think this one was a little too mature for my current taste. I’ll still finish my bottle but probably won’t repurchase for a while.

Right from the start, this perfume smells RED. It doesn't smell like bright cherry red either, it smells like a dark and syrupy blood red.

On my skin, this perfume is a dark fruit syrup with a prominent plum note that's a bit sharp due to the blood orange at the top. Once it dries down, the sharpness of the blood orange starts to fade and you begin to get the smoothness of sweet wood faintly tinged with vanilla and praline.

For me, the vibe this perfume gives is that of a Roman courtesan draped in blood red silks who smiles as she twirls a flute of poisoned wine in her delicate hands. It's like a treacherous princess in a crimson gown plotting her revenge as she stands watching the moon from a deserted castle garden. This isn't to say the perfume smells old or antiquated -- it smells quite modern in fact and would definitely fit the vibe of a dark haired woman in a black dress, red lipstick, and Louboutin heels. Really an underrated gem.

Longevity: Around 5-6 hours
Sillage: Definitely noticeable, but doesn't choke people around you
Weather: It's a go to for cold weather, but special occasions or clubbing on warm nights also calls for this.

Madyana

Sometimes I forget that this is edt. The opening may be a little alcoholic, but this performance is better than some edp versions. This is my enduring favorite, a strong recommend.

Morbid85

I always categorize my fragrance as ''Like, Love and Okay''.
I rarely love perfume that is a blind buy.
This is a sweet surprise. Sweet fruity floral OMG <3 i love it. I never tried SI before but this is giving me some rich sophisticated smell. I initially sprayed in a paper and my partner who is few meters away notice and ask me what is this smell. It kinda strong on first spray but does not give me a headache like some of other strong fragrances that i have to wait till it dries down before I can enjoy. This is one of my new favorite fragrance.

dunder988

I have never smelt SI, so I have nothing to compare Always red with. But I don't like it, I don't see how people like this and how it has such good reviews. It smells gourmand and fruity to me, which I generally don't mind. But this is waaay too sweet and coying

grapefruit352

Its starts really "red", reminds me red berries and..plum? possible! Somehow I would compare this fragrance with Cafe Cafe Intenso or Cacharel Amor Amor.
Nothing like Si from Armani, not a Lancome La nuit Tresor, ..Narsisco Rodrigues? no..no and no...nothing in common!
Red fruity start and it continues like that too on the skin for 1 hour or so. After, it stays on the skin the light scent of an expensive Italian soap.. soap like from Nesti Dante.
Longevity like eau de toilette. Silage is shy, but cosy, more for indoor use. Outside this fragrance will be blown away with the wind very quickly. For the home use or office, why not:)

kathmelegrito

Cant stand the black currant on this. Too syrupy for my taste.

maemaex

Unfortunately my bottle completely leaked out during shipment so I didn't actually get to wear or enjoy it. But! What I can say is that for a month I've been getting gentle wafts of a lovely smell outside, thinking it was from flowers in the garden or someone walking by, only to realize it's the lingering Always Red in the garbage can! Fruit syrup, roses and deep woods, warm, sweet, intriguing, in charge; I can imagine this being a great chilly weather signature. And the red plum note is exactly like biting into the real thing... the really good ones have this amazingly complex floral flavor and I'm impressed EA captured it so photorealistically. I hope I can try this beauty out again soon.

peonies and musk

I love smelling this on myself, it's almost addicting. It isn't an unusual scent but because of how bold it is some may find it challenging. It's sweet (very), a little spicy, warm, cozy. In the same vein as Agent Provocateur Fatale Intense but a bit fresher. There's something it which to some noses might read "chemical" though, like the strong fragrance used to cover up some cleaning supplies or insect sprays, something like that

Polinka

Tested it again today to make sure it's the same as I remember. Yep, still that prominent black currant dipped in this sweet syrop. Today I realized why I don't want to buy it for now. It's too linear and predictable plus that black currant can be intimidating at times.

Review from September 2019.
Let me tell you a story. It was around 11pm when I went out for a night walk. There is this one cat around my neighbourhood which I (and all the neighbours) always pet - it is super chill and friendly. Usually it comes to me but won't allow to be touched, we are on a strange relationship here. Tonight, I have sprayed Always Red Femme, the cat came up to me, smelled me, for a brief second it seemed it will run away, but it stayed. Won't let me pet it though. I thought alright, I am going home then. It followed me all the way to my house, it kept its distance and did not come to my flat, but it had followed me for the first time in history. Of course it might be wrong to say it followed me because of my perfume BUT here's a speculation: I think its previous owners have moved out and left it because sometimes it looks depressed, sad and thin. Even tonight, I gave it food for it was hungry. So what if, its previous owner has been wearing Always Red Femme or something similar? The DNA of this fragrance is super popular, think of Armani Si and all its flankers. I will never know.
Always Red Femme is a juicy blackcurrant smell with a perfect duo of vanilla and patchouli, it stays on skin for a very long time. And attracts cats :)

Jasmindee

I love the stunning red and black design, in my opinion, it really matches the juice inside.

Always Red is as her title, she's always red. A scarlet vixen. Sexy, seductive, a little mature and always classy. Think little black dress with devilish red lipstick.

I have received compliment after compliment from this little beauty. She has been a firm date night and fancy event perfume since I was in my early twenties. My boyfriend tells me I smell really good whenever I wear this around him.

I feel sexy, demanding, confident and maybe a little bit older beyond my years whenever I wear Always Red. I don't reach for her often because she is definitely not a day time scent for me, so a bottle has lasted me a long time. I get rich, luscious plum, smooth creamy praline, something masculine and smokey hidden under the initial sweetness to balance everything out and then a woodsy Amber drydown. Heavenly.

I can't believe that this perfume is such a bargain, to me, it smells so expensive. I always have a bottle of this in my collection.

moonriver1101

I love this scent. it’s cheap and in the fragrance category I like - woody floral. unfortunately, it just does not last on me. And the sillage isn’t great either. 30 minutes after applying the perfume, the only way you can smell it is if you smelled my clothes.

Scent_sible

I blind bought this perfume for such a bargain! It somehow reminds me of Narcisso Rodriguez for her. Sharp opening but this one I got better dry down. Nothing WOW but not too bad either...pretty long lasting too.

mmagic_conch

According to the notes, I should love this. I adore sweet praline, plum, Amber. I have never smelled Si so I can’t compare it. This was so sharp and sour. Made me cough. I had to change my clothes. I gave it away as a gift because I know it’s a good fragrance and a lot of people love it. I just have a strange picky nose. I guess it’s the citrus that’s too strong for me, I can’t really tell.

876Beauty

One of my favorite gourmands. I just hate that I have to wait for the dry down. The opening is a spicy plum which makes it smell like red wine. The opening is a bit too spicy for my liking but this is a great night out fragrance once it dries down. The praline is dominant in the dry down. This is nothing like Red Door by the way.

dessybg

Страхотен парфюм. Има характер и излъчване на скъп аромат. Определено си заслужава покупката, като се има в предвид че си го закупих на сляпо, четейки мнения написани тук във фрагрантика. Трайноста също е отлична.

mlrd217

This perfume smells so similar with Armani Si. Only $20 but the smell is much more expensive than the price. It lasts forever too. The only difference that I notice is this one is a bit sharper or 'darker' and Si is smoother or softer. It can be a little bit cloying so spray it lightly. Over all, it's a great perfume, after few hours wearing this, people won't notice the difference between this $20 perfume and $100+ Si.

kimberry2219

I have received so many compliments on this $20 perfume, I’m amazed! It really does smell amazing. I bought it at Marshall’s along with the lotion for 20 bucks and it’s the perfume I get the most compliments on. I love it!

Aftershave

This juice is so nice. I´m a man and I love to wear this.
I don´t get the praline that much, instead the plum, blood orange, rose, jasmine and passionfruit shines. It´s sweet but not cloying, well balanced and very affordable. Quite long lasting aswell, overall a good fragrance.

scandi rose

Just bought Always Red on a blind buy and so very glad i did, on first spray it was over powering, but then i caught the scent of blood orange and plum which gave way to a deep velvety red rose mixed with jasmine, i caught a hint of nutty chocolate with a swirl of muskiness, at times i caught vanilla mixed with a woody base. I just love it and i usually don't like heavy vintage scent perfumes, this is different. So darkly sensual that my man was captivated, it turned many heads. Have found my signature scent. You start off thinking you will hate it but as soon as the alcohol smell dries off it is just magical. It is elegant with a dash of naughty.

JustSimpleThings

This was a blind buy and I didn't like it at first, but it is growing on me.
Let me give you an advice: do NOT blind buy this one! The way this perfume expressed itself seems very reliant on skin chemistry.

On me, this is a boozy, woody praline perfume. Not too sweet, rather strong and assertive. Definitely giving Mugler vibes, but in an easier-to-handle way (this is no Angel), BUT -having said that- this perfume is definitely not for the faint-hearted! Thus is for people who enjoy loud perfumes, who want the world to know what they are wearing. You will get noticed with this one.

Upon initial spray, I can smell the blood orange, with a strong undercurrent of sweetened woods and just a whisper of praline. At this stage, the scent reminds me of CK Euphoria. After about an hour comes the plum-jam phase: strong plummy and woody aromas mingle, giving a Marc Jacobs Decadence vibe.

As the scent dries down, the praline becomes stronger and the woody notes retreat, so the fragrance mellows out, becomes more conventionally feminine.
I don't get much floral in this, maybe just a hint of jasmine in the dry-down.

To be honest, I enjoy the dry-down the most, because I am no Euphoria fan.

Also, for those who want to blind buy this because of its alleged resemblance to Si: let me warm you, I hate Si and thank goodness this smells nothing like Si to my nose. Si smells like cassis and roses and vanilla. Always Red is strong woods, plum and praline - I fail to see the resemblance other than maybe a slight similarity in the late dry-down phase (praline+jasmin can read like spiced vanilla).

To me this scent resembles Euphoria the most, but in my opinion it is nicer because the plum and praline rounds out the woody scent, so it is less 'brash', more lush and womanly.

This is no scent for teenage girls, this is a scent for a self-assured grown-ass woman (pardon my French). It definitely smells more expensive than it is. It has great silage and longevity, and it is definitely not linear - this perfume has many-many layers and facets and it shows something different in every hour as time goes by. It definitely kept me interested and that's an accomplishment in itself because I am usually quite fickle and have a short attention span when it comes to frags. Not with this one!

Proceed with caution. You'll either love it or hate it; there is no middle way.

who.am.i.you

Ohhh, I can absolutely see the resemblance to Thierry Mugler Alien. It actually helped to read the reviews to narrow down what jasmine perfume it reminds me of. I like this so much better as that praline note makes this absolutely delicious and warm. I just started wearing it a month ago, but it's been lovely in the autumn in the Northeast U.S.. Something about this reminds me of Angel as well. Almost as if the two Muglers merged with a plummy jam thrown in. Alien does have a grapey quality for some reason, so I see these as somewhat similar facets, but this is a gorgeous perfume on its own. Just trying to compare to popular and well-known fragrances. This is absolutely delicious. Longevity and projection are great and settles into a great sexy, sweater of a scent (somehow), haha.

Sade800

Unfortunately, I had to wash this off because Jasmine perfumes don't suit me.

However this smells REALLY nice!

Reminds me of Bvlgari Jasmine noir and TM Alien.

Elizabeth Arden makes great perfumes

kbm1208

Inoffensive perfume. Not spectacular.

LisaLovesPerfume

Always Red is a wonderful fragrance for Autumn and Winter. The plum and the rose give an effect of a red wine note. The mahogany provides enriching depth. I can still sense the resemblance to Kors by Michael Kors ( the cylindrical bottle from the 90's ). If you like fragrances that have a dark, sultry feel, please give Always Red a try!

gtabasso

This is a dark fruit cocktail. It's all about the plum and rose. They are the stars. There's a little passionfruit, some musk and patchouli maybe. It isn't praline gourmand, just sweet. Like sugarplums. I think there might be some pepper in here, too.

A Reflection of the Heart

Warm and sexy yet with an elegance too. I love the amber/ plum/praline accord. I like the balance of the sweetness and the grapefruit's tangy note. Crazy good and smells way more expensive than it is. Now that fall has truly arrived, it's an obsession for me. Perfect for crisp, colorful days, and cozy nights. The many comparisons to Si make me want to investigate that one too. Thanks, Fragranticans. <3

sweetongene

I love this fragrance! On me it checks a lot of boxes: it gets me compliments, I smell clean but also a little sexy, I like it before and after the dry down, and it's not too much of any one accord. I wear it during the day BUT I make sure to keep my sprays to a minimum. Much like all the Elizabeth Arden scents I've tried, it's strong. In the Evening, spritz it up! It sure is sexy and pretty. So grateful to all the fragrance youtubers that recommended this one. Never would have tried Always Red if it wasn't for their reviews.

tami406

This was a blind buy fail for me. According to the notes listed I should love it. Instead, the praline/wood mixture comes off smelling like patchouli to me. Or maybe they tossed some patchouli in there and didn't tell anyone :) Call me crazy, but it's all I can smell- I am very sensitive to it for some reason.

Edit: Two hours later, I smell cigarettes, too. Patchouli and cigarettes. Yuck.

MarnaL

Dear god, where has this been in my life and why isn't this one discussed as much? I blind purchased this beauty after reading some reviews. I've never seen this perfume in the Elizabeth Arden counters in my country. I've smelled Red Door and wasn't at all impressed, but I am pleasantly surprised by this one. It's syrupy and it definitely is like Armani Si, but I find this better with longer and stronger performance. It's more luxurious, yet playful and sexy. My husband finds it intoxicating and sensual.

I warn you, this is incredibly sweet, but I love sweet. Even in the humid tropical weather here, you can find me choking people around me with my LVEBs and Intense Cafes. Unless if you're a sweet lover, this will probably not be your jam. Literally.

Will update with a more thorough review.

DebiL1211

I snagged a bottle from a trusted seller on ebay for $5.00
I had a chance to smell it in the store and liked it but really felt it needed a true test. When it is cheaper to buy a full bottle versus a sample or decant then that is what I do. This smells delightful. The praline, amber, and plum really stand out at dry down. At first spray it is really woody and floral on my skin. I enjoy the dry down. I can see this being cloying if you spray too many sprays. I did 3 sprays and after 7 hours now I can still smell it but it is very close to the skin. I am glad I went for the full bottle and will definitely be wearing this in the cooler weather. I think if it is worn in too hot of weather it will turn sour on my skin.

Longevity: 8-10 hours
Sillage: past arm's length for around the first 5 hours and then it draws itself closer until about the 7th hour where it becomes a skin scent
Recommend: Absolutely
Blind buy: Maybe if you know the notes well and how your skin reacts but otherwise I suggest sampling it first.

MayscentsB

I blind bought this based on the reviews. This is a pleasant scent but not my favorite. It smells powdery to my nose (I think its the plum). It is definitely a confident, mature scent which might be why I'm not so obsessed with it. On another note, my mom absolutely loves this scent so I would recommend it for more mature ladies. This is long lasting, and it does develop well. I spritzed it on and hours later I started smelling something good and it was the scent! It had become less powdery and more fresh.

bjer-don

Beautiful scent! I get mainly plumb and definitely jasmine. After it reaches the middle stage i get jasmine and hints of orange. The jasmine on me stays until the drydown. Then the amber kicks in. I don't get much praline. A really A++++ scent for as low as 20 bucks. I can see this scent becoming my daily fragrance.

Mademoisellejaimie

This purchase was a blind buy based on all the reviews saying it's a dupe for Armani Si. What a success! I could never justify buying Armani si because of the sharp patchouli that makes me sneeze and turns my eyes into a red watery mess.

This is 90% similar to Si but still noticeably warmer, smoother, different. I can see someone not liking Si, but loving Always Red. The praline makes it unmistakably gourmand and the absence of patchouli makes it so much more wearable! It's a grown-up, sophisticated gourmand, not at all juvenile.

Longevity is great, we are past the 8 hour mark and I can still smell it every time I move, with only 3 sprays on my chest/neck area. It projects strongly for the first 3 hours! 35$ CAD for 100ml on Fragrancebuy! What an absolute steal!

Desi_mystar

This was such a delightful surprise for me! A blind buy that worked out so so well. It has a richness and sweetness that is balanced so well with its earthy drydown. I can certainly see its similarity to "Si" but this is not the lesser or "knock off"... I think I actually like this better smell-wise and it has great longevity. I put it on right at 7:50 am when I was hustling out of the house and it has been almot 12 hours and I can still smell this on my clothes.

NatGab

Well, a lot of people do compare Always red with Armani "Si", even some of youtube reviewers, claiming that this is cheaper version of "Si". In my opinion, this might be cheaper financially, but for sure not the scent wise and its quality and performance.

It opens up sweet and fruity, something a bit vanilla citric in a good way. When you know that this is not a vanilla, but praline (which is very similar with the La Vie est Belle praline) and the acidic tone gives bloody orange. But this quickly softens into freesia-rose and plum-passion fruit sweetness with amber base. At that point it starts to remind me "Si", but without that annoying black currant boozy note. It does develop a bit after, but I still cannot detect any woody (Mahogany) note on my skin.

It does not give me the sunny day vibe, that gives "Si". On the contrary, I'd rather wear Always Red at evenings, maybe on a date. This is much deeper and more sensual, reminds me scene from the movies, like a dinner in Paris, when two sitting on terrace late night, drinking red wine and chatting.

The projection is average, I got about 4 hours and -longevity is really good, 7-8 hours straight (much much better than "Si" ever made).

Myperfumediary

I reminds me of SI, BUT NOT THE SAME. Anyways, this fragrance is a grown up dark, intense fruity-sweet fragrance.

Longlasting & Moderate-strong sillage :)

jacksparrow_1700

I just received this in the mail today and I am in love. I got it because I'm a poor college student who can't afford Armani Sì but I love that perfume. Always Red did not disappoint. It smells so similar to Sì, but I feel like Always Red is just a little bit darker and richer, but not necessarily heavier. Like if Sì and Always Red were colors, Sì would be cornflower blue and Always Red would be cobalt, they're the same color, just a few shades different (unlike the colors of the bottles which are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum). Everything about this scent is gorgeous.

Ferra_Verto

I got this today, so lovely!

Very sweet, the plum is juicy and candied, and the amber is lush and syrupy. The praline is a tad bit nuttier, that's why I don't get the immediate "Sí" impression. Sí is much more citric to my nose, the plum in Always Red prevents that effect.

Very well-blended, it wears beautifully in the cold. I cannot wait to try once it gets warmer, I think the blood orange and rose notes will stand out much more. I imagine it will read a bit 'fleshier fruity' (thanks to the blood orange) with a smooth rose finish.

Definite purchase, it's readily available and still affordable.

Georgia.24

As an avid lover of Si by Giorgio Armani, I am always on the hunt for more affordable alternatives or dupes for Si that I could use on a daily basis for a fraction of the price and that's what Always Red is. I'm unsure whether Elizabeth Arden set out with the intention of creating and selling a Si dupe or not but I’m bloody grateful they did. Always Red opens up with a warm spice - noticeably more sweet than Si, but very similar none the less. I’ve noticed AR is a bit more “boozy” than Si.

Its noted accords of being sweet, amber, white floral are the most noted to me, I wouldn’t have picked up on the citrus accord personally. I can note the praline, amber and the mahogany base at times. I am surprised there are no spices noted in this. Always Red tends to smell the same during its wear, it doesn’t deepen upon dry down or become overly complicated scent-wise. I own the EDT and get around 2-3 hours of longevity, which is were Always Red is lacking. Its weak longevity and silage are were I can note the difference against Si, which is superior in terms of wearing and wear time.

I usually like to review fragrances on their own rather than against one another, but AR is just so similar that it's hard not to compare with Armani’s Si. In saying that though, Always Red is truly great on its own and I’d highly recommend you seek it out whether or not you enjoy its higher-end counterpart. I genuinely love EA's Always Red, a very positive and fun, yet playful fragrance.

osy2017

Nice perfume, not offensive, and able to create a good feeling while wearing. The dray down is amazing, better than the opening, very long lasting. Really love this one. Great perfume from Elizabeth Arden.

clintjr82

Smells awesome and intoxicating for a woman, I sniffed this in Dillards and Immediately bought this gift set for my lady. This stood out more than all the top names Chanel, Armani, Tiffany, Bvlgari or Gucci.

Sahar74

Oh my God! This is such a beutifull fragrance. What a wondefull combination between blood orange, passionfruit and plum!

SmellyWelly

I wore Gucci Rush for years and decided it was time to change. The first hit of this in the shop was a deep fruity smell. And I went "Wow!" out loud. Then the flowers hit and I wasn't too sure as I don't enjoy mature rose kind of smells. However this perfume changes so much and has so many beautiful layers. In my silly layman's description, I hope I will do it justice. I was gaming in the evening and I kept thinking, I can smell cinammon and something nice and soapy... Then I realised it was this perfume. Still hours later. The dry down is gorgeous. It's a bit soap and glory but with a mature berries and woody smell. I had Couture Gold, Joop that smells a bit Wish, and Gucci Rush, but my bf always complimented me on this one. I always tried to get him to like something more to my taste, but this scent grew and grew on me and now I embrace it. There is so much to it and I get complimented all the time. It's a delight to wear. It took me a year to love it and now I won't let it go. I didn't really want to review it as I want it to be my secret. But Mum taught me to share lol. Here's the funny thing. I could never remember what it was called. I knew it was All something and there was a door. So I've been telling everyone it's called All the Doors. Lmao I know it says it on the bottle. But you underestimate how scatty I am.

fluffydeathkitty

I absolutely love the original red door so I decided to try this flanker in store. My hopes were high as all of the notes are right up my street. Sadly the composition doesn't agree with my nose at all. On my skin it turns into a strange, dull, fermented fruit kind of smell. I really wanted to love it but I don't.

Gwenhwyfar

Very very very close to Armani Si indeed. Freesia, rose, woody notes and amber are the notes they have in common. I'm not sure if I distinguish the notes of praline or plum or passion-fruit in Always Red. Just pleasant fruity non-sticky sweetness in general. Very impressive longevity for an inexpensive perfume like that. On clothes the scent lasts for days. 3-4 sprays that I applied from the tester in the store on a sleeve of my jacket - and my closet smells like this perfume for almost a week now. On skin it lasted about 6-7 hours. Very nice! I would definitely buy Always Red if I didn't have Armani Si already. No reason to have both of them at the same time since Always Red is pretty much an exact dupe for Armani Si. Si, however, smells a little more boozy (in a good expensive wine kind of way), rather than plain sweet.

Alces Alces

The blood orange note sets this apart from the crowds of chocolate sweet gourmands. Yes! I have been jonesing for a really good chocolate orange scent, and this could be it! Very unusual for an Elizabeth Arden offering. It has that soapy twang that I love in a perfume, probably from the jasmine, with warmth from the amber and noticeable wood.

I love Always Red and it's not that expensive or hard to find, so no pressure to read too much into it. Yay. Just delicious.

carolinneus

It's winter, maybe fall. No matter -- it's cold! You're safely inside curled up by the fire with some hot cocoa, a big sweater and someone you love. This is the sort of vibe I get from Always Red. This is such a nice, warming scent, which I love to wear in winter and on colder autumn days. Its one flaw is that the plum note smells a wee bit artificial, but that's easily overlooked (or oversmelled).

I certainly understand the comparisons to Si, though for some reason, maybe simply the packaging and campaign, I find this to be more of a winter fragrance: Si, to me, is an acknowledgement of the end of summer.

sh1n1ng_f1nger

Love when my wife wore it.

Notes that strike the most - Plum, Praline & Amber. Beautifully formed. Mamamia!! Kimochi!!

Similar to SI(sample) but AR last longer & plum slightly more prominent.

AR does have that vibe to LVE(Beast mode, I don't recommend to Married Women - Go figure!!), but AR does project itself and last efficiently.

Cheaper than both, seriously I can buy 2 for the price of LVE, Tq God.

Recommendation - Test it from Top to Bottom. It's a gem that needs time to appreciate.

In my rookie opinion(& all of the above), the best in Elizabeth Arden line.

november_rain

I am in LOVE! What a lovely scent. I have only been eyeing this for a few days because of reviews saying it resembles Sì. I fell in love with Sì on my coworker but I don't dare to try it because of my previous patchouli-headaches. I don't see that many similarities but they are both sweet but still somewhat dark seductive and sexy scents. Always Red almost gives me Opium (2009) vibes. Way sweeter and fruitier tho.

The plum is so beautiful in this. I love how the scent is fruity but not in an easy-going fun way but in a dark and sultry way. Does that make sense? I have only had it on for half an hour but the amber is already starting to shine through, so lovely. Not as sweet as I was afraid it would be. The praline isn't very chocolatey to me and that's positive in my opinion. So well blended, I have a hard time picking out the notes (but then again, I always do). I can say tho that the flowers are chilling in the background, at least on me.

Perfect for fall I'd say and good for winter as well but honestly... I will wear this on colder summer nights, I can't wait until autumn.

I found myself a new love I think!

Bumblebumble

today was a warm morning, with high humidity.i was feeling bold, and i bathed in this fragrance. before work, i visited a coffee shop, and while im adding my creamer and sugar a woman is pacing behind me and says, 'its you!oh my gosh you smell soo good' she then stirs her coffee and repeats, 'yep, its you... wow'.

So my review is YES i am enjoying this fragrance.lol

Helen123456789

OMG i didn't expect to love this this much! Very sexy perfume
Not excellent longevity but it's good i wish it lasts longer. It reminds me so much of elie saab intense but this one is happier, does anyone agree?

evatgirl73.1

Absolutely reminiscent of Armani Si!! This isn’t a bad thing, I like it. I don’t own Si but have tested it and opted for the dupes from La Rive instead. I guess I’m a little bummed that I don’t get more praline but it is a very nice fragrance and a great alternative to Si for way less ($17 at Ross for the large bottle). Happy with this (educated) blind buy but probably won’t repurchase since I currently have 3 full bottles of good, various Si alternatives..! :)

trevorrobertlee

Exact copy of Si! I picked up a gift set on final clearance at Marshalls for $6! This is WAYYY too fruity for me, however I might use this for cold nights occasionally if I ever am in the mood. It smells extremely dessert-like, which I personally am not a fan of, but I still enjoy the smell of it from the bottle. The passion fruit is super prominent. It reminds me of one of those bubble tea shops. Syrupy sweet.

Bomber81

There's something very TM "Alien" about this scent.. yet, not quite. Much sweeter..
I can't give a full review yet, as I've only had it on for 15-20 minutes, but I can tell you that the initial stink every time I try this doesn't completely turn me off. Each time I get fonder of it (have sprayed this maybe 5 times before this). However, that first blast is sickeningly artificial sweet and not something I am enjoying.

It's about 20 minutes and the scent is changing again.
For a moment it started to smell like the ink in those scented pens/markers we had in the 80s/90s. Gross (for perfume), but it's changing again and I am making out the florals, especially the jasmine - but not in an overpowering way.

This seems to be a very well blended scent. I can see myself converting to a lover, it hasn't happened yet, but perhaps tonight is the night.

Anyone testing this, give it a few chances and don't write it off at initial toxic blast.
This is not something I would normally smell and buy on the spot, got the bottle second hand and I can definitely see the potential in it for a new love.

**THIS IS NOT A SAFE BLIND BUY!!**
(coming from someone who thinks nearly everything is a safe blind buy!)

If I remember, I will come back to update.

celebrity89

This does smell like Si, but with Halle Berry Reveal the Passion mixed in. That's where it gets the creamy and musky quality. After several hours my clothes have that Gucci Guilty baby hamper smell.

TopDonna321

Very very similar to Armani Si. If you’re looking for a cheaper dupe then here it is. A little bit more syrupy and fruity but the essence is the same. I can’t wear it every day because it is quite cloying but it is a really great scent for a really great price!

Mbrock

This smells so dark and sensual. Its what you might expect a deep dark glass of wine to smell like, without the alchohol smell. Deep dark fruits and a little sweetness. It has very good longevity and sillage. I will rebuy this.

igalmusic

Beautiful fragrance! Very sexy and sensual, definitely for colder months and more for evening than daytime. I absolutely adore good quality, strong perfumes and this one it's amazing! Very long lasting as well, I will always keep it in my collection.

sarahharis7

It smells exactly like Armani Si Intense - i own both perfumes, and i like both :D

Cess268

This fragrance is wonderful. At first it's a bit strong but then it transforms into this lovely veil of scent. The dry down is outstanding and lasts 24+hours. I can see the similarities to the Armani Si (same DNA) but I prefer this one more in that I feel that it has more depth and it is a tad bit sweeter. I feel it is perfect. And it is budget friendly (BONUS). I am definately keeping this in my fall/winter rotation.love this

dglightblue

Today I've got 6 perfumes on
And I've been told I smell amaaaazing

This one is not like red door, you're safe ( not a red door fan here)
It might have very faint red door DNA but nothing that offends me, and red door offends all my senses bar visual.

Deep sweet warm possibly a scent that your mum would wear. This opinio was given by someone in their twenties and they liked a Tommy Hilfiger I had on over all the others.

The dry down is still semi sweet/warm but dry in a sense. I liked all the notes. It was a bit more floral in composition than always red femme which I've also got on.
It's rounded, nothing harsh to my nose

lollipop28

I absolute love this one. Something about it reminds me of Lush. I love the smell of so many Lush products and this perfume is like all those scents I love all in one. Sweet, Lush and really long lasting. It seriously smells like walking by a Lush store in the mall.

Neckromancer

I like this. It does smell like fruit punch, but thicker and more syrupy. From the notes I get blood orange and a very sweet sticky amber. I usually dislike perfumes with praline, but it's alright in this. This is a great gift for a teenager, and is suitable for all ages as long as elegance is not an objective.

HellsBelle

I don't think this smells like Armani Sì.
I tested it on a paper strip and actually recoiled from it. Fruit punch with spices and wine. Lots of wine. Sticky, sugary, sour wine. Like the smell of a really bad night with too much booze and no hook-up. I put the paper down and went to check out better things.
...and found myself inexplicably returning to the paper in question every few minutes until I noticed that I had in fact bought a bottle and sprayed it all over myself.

To me it IS wine, and spices, and sugary-sour. Sangria, perhaps? The thing is I love it. I want to bathe in it. The opening is horrendous but 10 minutes down the line this is summer and happiness and parties and sparkles on my skin. This is glorious.

Vampiris

I went on a shopping spree lately to cheer myself up, because this year has been a tough year for me and my family..the day I got Always Red I received a piece of great news..I find this fragrance pretty magical..

I love the red packaging, it's a statement of style, confidence and power..

The scent is modern, but also classic..the longevity is fantastic..it also reminds me of the scent of lipsticks my mum put on my lips when I was in primary school..I didn't wear makeup every day as a child, but mum would do my makeup for special family events or a lovely day out..

So Always Red to me is a very glamorous and confident scent..it smells like someone with a sexy makeup on if it makes sense..It's my favorite right now in this Winter season :)

aqua76239

I seen this scent mentioned by a Youtuber that its a sweet oriental. So strangely enough I just seen in local TJ Maxx, $20 for lotion and edt set so it went home with me. Me and those blind buys lol

I just sprayed it and so far I am REALLY liking it. I love gormands but I am really burned out with all the current ones right now so I wanted floral oriental but maybe a bit spicier than what I usually go for. So far, it seem to fit the bill.
This hits you with plum and blood orange right away. Reminded me of now discountinued Kimmora Lee Simpsons Fabulosity.
I also tried the lotion and to me its not as good-its too soft and not fragranced enough. something about it, I didn't care for. Oh well
I smelled Si long time ago and I don't recall it smelling like Always Red. But I will have to see how it wears and will report back. To be continued

Xellina

It's the first time I thought "this is a perfect smell for me". It has warm, happy smell, not heavy or unpleasant as lots of perfumes are that I get headaches from. It's the first time I liked sweet perfume, because all the notes are composed well... this perfume made me know myself better as if I didn't try it, I'd never say this kind of sweet perfume is more of my taste than any refreshing I've ever had.

Aromatyu

A great cross between old and new schools. Has a signature smell potential. Warm but not stuffy. Present all the time but not arrogant.

UnearthlyApothecary

Arden scents can be hit or miss for me in terms of quality/performance but this one hits it right out of the ball park! First, I'm a huge blood orange fan and I have never smelled it like this before, layered over plum, jasmine sambac, praline, amber and woods. Always Red is a rich and heavy gourmand floral that may not be for everyone but could have been made for me.
There is something almost dirty and masculine in there somewhere. The silage is incredible. LOVE!

Konga5000

Damn ! Why so many bad reviews?
I think this is the BEST Red Door offering to date.

bjer-don

Yuck. Very glad I tested this before buying. I get no praline. I get no amber. What I get from this is mostly the blood orange. The scent is pretty interesting, but it dries down to what smells like fruit punch.

Esmeralda1

This is The best one of The two always red. Playful lighthearted and sensual, a independent woman who knows what she wants and moves towards that goal, with a delightful carefree nonchalance. Only minding her own business and people are drawn to her without not really understand why..
I Love it!!! Want it for christmas!!!!!

cinsot

Your honesty is so refreshing Tahirakathun!

Go Girl Power :)

I too love this perfume and I am officially an "old lady" next year. Granted my days of testing all the boys are well and truly over, however adorned in this magical potion anything seems possible as it always attracts compliments from the males in my circle.

I do get the Si comparison, Always Red is perhaps a tad more tart on my skin. I love it. It's modern, fresh, daring, deep and delectable.

One of my favourite acquisitions this year.

Tahirakathun

I'm a young and wild teenager, I love testing all boys, I don't settle down with one xD my lipstick is Always red indeed, this perfume is just pure seduction in my eyes. Everyones just comparing it to other perfumes but look at it for what it is guys. Its fruity floral with such deep spices, its so sexy young and rich. I just love it, and boys just love it.

Eyviab

This is a great dupe
For Sí but I would add that it is a sweeter version of Sí! So yummy!

sallrw

I adore this perfume! Can't stop wearing nor can I keep my 24, 26 and 28 yr old daughters out of it when they come over.
I can smell the base notes very strong immediately when I spray it all the way to the dry down. The base notes of mahogany, red amber and praline bust out along with the fruit and florals all together at first spray. In the dry down I do get a hint of sour, but not at all as much as some of the other reviewers stated. Infact I hardly noticed it until I read the other reviews about it and then I looked for it. This perfume is beautiful! Just beautiful through and through! It's like as soon as I spray it, I just got a great big warm, sweet, woodsy hug!
The sillage is great! I get lots of complements when I wear this and it last for hours on my skin and clothes. I may reapply just to freshen it up but it's really not necessary. I just like to feel the beginning strong hug all over again just because I love it so much.
I don't get a cigarette smell "at all" like the review before mine stated. Stripper...mmmaybe yes and no! More like an extremely expensive (catering to the rich and famous) call girl.LOL! Not a cheap smell whatsoever! Noooo, not at all! It's smells AMAZING!

tinekesmellsamazing

It smells like a stripper - I mean; very sweet, like bodysplash mixed with the smell of cigarettes. But sometimes you need a perfume like that. It's comfortable, I wear it every now and then and it reminds me of the hot sunny day that I bought it.

Rose_Noire

It's CRAZY how similar this is to Si! Maybe a little sweeter but it's almost a dupe so if you already have Si you don't need this.

IrisLily

Deep, sultry, rich scent that lasts forever. I am wearing it in the summer heat, and so far I am loving it.

ScarlettX

I think it's terrible. Very strong and cloying praline note, overly woody and ambery. There's also tropical notes in it, that smell just weird.
Something about it is dirty smelling.
I can't even decide, if it's sweet or bitter.
Horrific.

Tepatrojan

I was at their counter smelling different bottles, trying to pick something for the wifey, when i came across this little gem. I'm a rose lover myself, so i took a squirt on the wrist, and ...ooooh my, i was diggin' this scent. Floral, and rose, with a bit of dark woody amber,. Totally a bit femenine at first some may say, (although im starting not to use labels of 'masculine or femenine' ) but the dry down was great! I could see this as being unisex, especially for a confident man. I asked for sample and im gonna play around with this guy to layer it with something else. Im thinking about layering this with mfk 'a la rose' or with mfk aqua universalis forte. Also, as for longevity, im getting whiffs of this on my wrist after 3 hours, its not projecting as strong as i wish,..but i only did 1 spray on the top of my wrist. Im sure that if i do more sprays in key areas i will get better projection!

Duskfall

I apologize, I'm going to be blunt. This is my subjective opinion and I don't mean to offend anyone who likes this scent (or others that I mention). My criticism applies more to the industry as a whole.

I tested a couple of sample vials. This is a cloying and nondescript fragrance that starts out sickly sweet and turns teeth-jarringly sour during its short lifespan. I fail to see the point of these boring releases nowadays; they bring nothing new or remotely interesting to the table. On me, this smells almost exactly the same as LVEB, La Nuit Tresor and Ricci L'Extase, just to mention a few. Of course the manufacturers are first and foremost out to make us hand over our money, so why would they change the winning formula, but still... What a pity. :(

b.a.denney

I've tried this twice on my skin while at my local perfume counter. I love it at first, but within about half an hour, it turns very sour smelling on my skin. Now, this is very unusual for me. In fact, I can't think of it ever happening before. It loses all it's pleasant sweetness, and it almost smells skunk-like.

I'd thought I'd end up with a bottle, as I love the initial smell, and how it smells on paper, and I just don't know why this does this on me.

Also, I have Armani Si, and Si doesn't turn on me like this does. I'm not sure I find them that similar, but quite a few reviews here do, and Always Red has a cheaper price point. For me, I'll stick to Si, as it doesn't turn into a skunk bomb on me.

Update: Apparently, after I wrote this review I bought a large bottle of this and stashed it away for a few years. My new review is above. It no longer goes "skunky" on me now. My body chemistry must have changed.

kitro

Very sweet and tasty, especially on skin. It even made my mouth water!

Started quite fruity and oriental. Very warm and comforting. Like a chocolate spice cake with a jammy filling. Dried down a touch sour on the fruit, but the florals came out a bit more (I'm quite chuffed with myself, I noted that down before checking the notes on here)

Warm and cosy. Perfect for curling up by a wood fire on a winters evening. Not so good for daytime. Quite heady, and heavy, outdoors it smelt a touch too artificial for my tastes - more like a (lovely) scented candle than a personal fragrance.

Very nice, if you have the occasion to wear it.

plutodagirl

Oh my... such a lovely scent! Definitely a floriental, with a slight gourmand feel. Not so gourmand that it's sickly sweet, but just enough to smell yummy. What sticks out to me is the jasmine. This reminds me of Modern Muse Rouge, but with a gourmand note. If that praline note wouldn't be in there, I would swear that I'm smelling MM Rouge!

Hellita

This is acutally not bad! I got lured in by the deep red bottle, so I tested it yesterday and it lasted a long time on my skin to be an EDT concentration. I had hoped it would be a little darker considering it's got praline, woods and plum in the mix, but it's a fruity, cheery scent reminding me a lot of Armani Sì.

A good one, but I wouldn't purchase it because I already own "Sì" and I find them too similar to eachother.

PLUMPIE

I am quite disbelieving that myself with a severe phobia of gourmand fragrances iis I am quite fond of this scent. This is quite musky, deep and has a leathery note which I love, it starts out quite cough-syrupy and heavy fruity plum-jam like but give it time to pass, at first I really disliked the opening but after a few minutes a beautiful fragrance surrounds you. This has a leathery/orangey honey like blossom base which reminds me of Armani Code a little bit and the praline/passionfruit note give it a resemblance to Red Pearl to my nose. These notes are sweet, but the chocolate is a creamy powdery sort of sweetness which is warm and not sickening like most chocolate. The praline It gives it a slight hazel-nuttiness and it is very addictive. The passionfruit gives it a tangy mouthwatering aroma. Definitely not what I expected, I expected a weaker generic fruity floral. Definitely not really a flanker of good old red-door either, a completely different scent altogether. Lasting power - I find it fantastic for the price and this is a wonderful day scent which is easily layered with the body cream for night. A pleasant surprise! I purchased it after one sniff, however it is a tad to sweet for my liking so I passed it onto a friend and she also loves it.

LisaLovesPerfume

Always Red bears an uncanny resemblance to Kors by Michael Kors. I still have a bottle of Kors and I was surprised how similar they are. So if you have been looking for a fragrance that smells like this discontinued gem, Always Red is it.

Suzi

I have just smelled this today and I have to say that it is so different from the original red door which I used to like but not anymore I now find it quite overpowering. Always Red on the other hand is a pleasant surprise for me as I think it is lovely it isn't the usual one I'd go for to be honest however there is just something about this one I like I think it is the blood orange. I love pretty hot and green tea from EA as well I have to say that I think this is the best of the red door flankers but actually I wouldn't call it a flanker really as it to me is the polar opposite of red door and it has it's own particular set of notes nothing like red door which is great as I prefer Always Red by a country mile nice going EA I give it a 9/10

umum_smellsgood

This spray in no way reminds me of Red Door, I LOVE the scent of this perfume. Very rich and creamy to me. The down side, no lasting power on my skin. I tend to have that problem with any toilette spay. If I'm lucky I get 1hr of scent. I do wish it had more staying power because the smell is awesome.

kdub

This is a lovely fragrance, it's not too strong and headache inducing upon initial spray.! In my opinion this is a combination of Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir and GA Si . I tested it and got almost exact results. The Always Red lasted on me 7+ hours. Very nice

ginawadsworth

I tried this at my local pharmacy in New Zealand this week. Initially the SA said you have to wait until the alcohol burns off - not a good comment or start of a sales pitch. She had put the body cream on one arm and gave me the paper swatch to smell. I could not smell anything. I then asked for a spray on the arm without the cream. Again, no scent. It was only about 1.5 hours later that I could smell the base notes on my arm. The body cream never smelt. However on paper it came to fullness the next day. Sweet and fruity with a tiny bit of woods. My husband said "I don't like I".

Unfortunately that was my reaction too. Seeing we get the European version I have no doubt it lacks whatever potential our American friends may find.

Another one bites the dust, due to European restrictions.

PerfumeKing14

fell in love with this today. a better version of armani si! its beautiful, it does smell like si but this isn't overwhelming like that can be, its so so nice. much more well done & another great scent by EA

andreaszabo

Though classified as an oriental floral, it's very much a sophisticated fruity floral, sweet feminine, lusciously lovely. I absolutely love this scent. I just happened by the Elizabeth Arden counter and sampled, I was nicely shocked, it's so modern and light. Definitely get all the fruit, very berry almost fizzy but scintillating. Richly red, very thick glass bottle. Very fruity berry off the top, softening to a fizzy musky warmth, not dirty or woody. It's crisp and soft at the same time. It's high on my BUY list. I'm not surprised though, Mr Benaim has created a few of my favorites, my gorgeous euphoria blossom echoes inside this masterpiece.

nickhi1984

I didn't even know this existed! I'm not a fan of Red Door, so I hardley ever visit the Elizabeth Arden counter. I've only ever had two of their fragrances. So, it's not the counter I go to first. I went to the shop to get something new for myself (I've been having a bad week) and the Sales Assistant let me sniff this. When I saw the bottle I thought 'another Red Door flanker, really?!'. But it isn't. It's a fragrance on it's own. And I adore it! I didn't buy it that day, I left with something else, but couldn't stop thinking about Always Red. So, I went back, tested it on my skin to see what happens & my skin fell in love - so did my nose! To me this is very much like Armani Si (I don't know if anyone else gets this) and a much cheaper version too :) It also lasts super long!

tantalyzingt

I tried this in the store and sprayed it on my neck and wrists
The weather was hot and muggy and the fragrance projected really well lasted about 3-4hrs.
I did smell the sweet orange, jasmine and thick amber gour man base..mmm I couldn't stop smelling it .it's a happy fragrance.I do want to buy this asap! I could easily wear this everyday as it lasts a long time
In the drugstore here in Canada it's $60 though. The sizes look all the same.
Is it available to order online anybody know?

genny17

Just tried it in the store and it is very very nice! Warm and with depth this is like a floral oriental with a real dreamy dry down.
More grown up too and more suited for cold weather too
The blood orange gives it a warm undertone
I might not get all the notes and only tried from the tester but first impression is that it smells great!!

twillocks

Why don't we wait to test before judging.
Can't wait to try.

SolangeN

When in doubt just dump in a couple handfuls of ethyl maltol...
