A very sweet and fruity fragrance that comes off as quite a young/juvenile scent. The notes listed are very true and i can pick up all of them on my skin. I would have loved this as a teenager i think. As of now i feel it doesn't suit me. Sometimes i do pick up a strange toothpaste scent after applying this too. Overall a nice and fruity fragrance that is just not suited for me specifically.

jengalang72

Sweet, simple. and fun. I get candied apple and whipped cream. I don't like heavy rose/florals, the rose here is very subtle, hardly detectable.

jetpet

First of all, I adore apple fragrances. Escada Candy Love is a definite "yes" for me. It does remind me of Kayali Eden Juicy Apple and Ariana Grande Thank U Next 2.0.

ECL is a light, fun, beautiful scent. It's an easy, non-offensive reach when you're in a hurry. For everyone who loves apple scents - you'll love this one too. However, like all apple fragrances, it becomes a skin scent quickly.

I've never understood the "too young" comment. If you like it and it vibes with your body chemistry then, by all means, wear it.

primadoll

It does not smell like hubba bubba like a certain individual mentioned here, it’s so sweet and candylike tho. With a fresh shampoo undertone. Idk why I get licorice but I do. Howhever, MEN LOVE THIS. Everytime I worn this it’s man magnet I’m telling you it tricks their m*nkey man brains to immediately approach you. The rose is definitely there. Artificial but when you smell this on someone else it’s actually crazy how good it smells.

mabelangel

a neighbour gifted me this today and it smells alright. it’s very very sweet, like headache inducingly sweet, so be careful when spraying. i don’t really smell vanilla or whipped cream, it’s very fruity.. like candied apples! it somewhat reminds me of fantasy. it’s got the same sweet and fruity shampoo dna. layering it with joop wow for women gave it a really nice edge

Yosa

To me, Candy Love smells *exactly* like pink Hubba Bubba bubblegum ~ if you know, you know! 😂 I happen to LOVE that smell, so this perfume is one of my favorites. 😍
I don't get any vanilla, and whipped cream should give a creamy vibe, which I don't get either.
Very fresh and joyful, fruity and sweet. A mood-booster, just a happy scent!
Regarding longevity, I get several hours from it.

Btw. Candy Love is difficult to find nowadays, and especially for a decent price.. I managed to track down a backup bottle from a German online shop for an OK price ~ there are still some left, so do check those if you're looking for one and live in Europe! Circa €30 + shipping..

Glyceryl

Smells like red candy apples, sweet and yummy. Unfortunately it has barely any lasting power. 1.5 hours max on me.

kawaiithugg

I absolutely looooove this scent. This is so yummy!! It's a little alcohol forward at first; but once that settles it smells like a sweet candy apple and then dries down to a whipped cream with the apple note still lingering in the background.

iuliagabriela

This smells like the Strawberries and Cream Chupa Chups lollipop with added apple. Fresh, sweet and creamy but with the character and performance of a body spray. I really like the bottle though, and for the 17€ I paid for the 100ml I think it's worth it.

chicagogirl

Perfect transitional scent from summer to fall. Light and crisp and fruity for those near 100 degree days in Aug/Sept but the apple note makes it feel like October, fall and apple picking is looming around the corner lol. Breaking this out to use it the next few months :).

Myru

I really enjoy this scent! It’s nothing complicated or mind blowing but who cares it smells pretty and sweet!!

When I first sprayed this it was very sweet I didn’t get any of the apple however as time has gone on I pick up a lot more of the apple note.

I get a apple scent dying to poke out but being blended by whipped cream preventing an overload of sweetness! It’s sweet and creamy but not fully lactonic as there’s a freshness with the apple.

I find myself gravitating towards this a lot as I find it easy to wear whether I dress up or dress casually! It’s pretty and sweet and not overbearing! It never fails to lift my mood!

It is also approved by my mother which means a lot as she only ever wears coco Chanel and mancera roses greedy!

bel.gravia

Revisiting this after 3 years, seeing prices high on ebay and assuming this limited edition might be going I scored a good deal of 2 x 100ml for £40. I still like it very much, a happy perfume, creamy, rosy, like a strawberry milkshake.

My first Escada- as I never wore their most popular scents, or had the 90s Escada fragrances- but felt the brand name was synonymous with fun, linear summer scents. Candy Love is simple, sweet, and nonoffensive. It's not a cloying scent- but more of a short-lived, fresh candy & citrus spritz. The primary effect I get on my skin is: sour lemon and sweet candied apples.

Top note is Candy Apple: Sharp, citric, with good sillage- and lasts a full 45-60 min on my skin. Bright- and would-be synthetic, but the hint of rose softens that effect. I think of the "Pink" grapefruit body spray I had from GAP in the early 2000s- or fruity deodorants like Teen Spirit- and I think if the scent stopped here it would be too juvenile & linear- but the Middle and Base notes below add more depth.

Middle note is Rose: Smells like baby dolls, with an undercurrent of lemon- which is richer and combined with a more prominent rose after that sharp, lemony top-note begins to fade after an hour. This is a rose shampoo- or a candied, slightly powdered rose. It's not your classical English rose like in some other scents- and it's not fresh garden rose. If you like "rose scent" you'll enjoy this.

Base notes are Whipped Cream and Vanilla: I don't smell this on dry-down- but I have noticed that I'm slightly anosmic to cream scents. This is likely the "powder" effect I'm smelling throughout the middle notes. The middle and top combined do remind me of dolls- and verge on a lipstick scent, without quite being powdery enough to go there.

OVERALL: It's candy, lemons, and rose powder for 2-3 hours. Sillage is okay- but it definitely one to repsritz after 2 hours if you're hoping for a signature scent, entering the room. A hot weather sweet scent- and is soft enough to work in the summer. This one works for all ages and sweets lovers- but I could definitely see this being something I'd buy for a first-time perfume user- my niece- or a teen. It's good- but nothing too intrigueing. 5/10 for me.

Esargee27

This is a very juvenile scent. It’d be good for someone’s first perfume. Shampoo-ey rose scent, smells like a body spray. I hate the bottle, but like I said it’d be good for a first perfume for a teen or pre teen!

auroora

Candy Love is shampoo-y and a bit sour on spray, but it quickly dries down into a fresh candied apple on the skin. It's youthful and fun, like a very crisp but sweet apple on a little fluffy pillow of whipped cream with a soft scent of roses drifting around it. Although it's less sweet than what I thought it'd be, it still works well.

This perfume could be used year round, but for my tastes it's a bit too cheery for the cold Nordic Winter. Up here, I'll wear it in the Spring and Summer, maybe on a nicely chilly Fall day, too. The longevity's typical for an Escada EDT, around 3 to 4 hours on the skin. I'm not a fan of strong perfumes due to asthma and allergies, but I do wish CL was just a little bit stronger.

As for the bottle, someone said it reminds them of Sailor Moon, and I fully agree, half the reason of why I got it in the first place! I can imagine a stylish young woman in the gorgeous pastel setting of the 90's anime, skipping down the street under the warm Spring sun on her way to the arcade, with a trail of Candy Love following her. 💖

I'll have to say it's a shame they discontinued this. I've owned and tried many Escada perfumes over the years, and I think they should've tweaked the longevity and sillage up a bit, and kept CL around for longer. I got lucky as I happened to find the full bottle for around 35-40€ at the end of last year. The bottles of this line are really cute, so I also ordered Show Me Love and Fairy Love a few weeks back to put them all up on the shelf together. I haven't had the chance to properly test the other two out yet, but so far Candy Love is my favorite. 🍏🍭

Deefruit

I love this perfume I really want to find something similar but not exactly the same , I also wish we got more of that Candy apple scent in the dry down, I feel like after some time it just starts to smell like sugar (which I still like I’m not complaining)

Darlinne

this is my favorite perfume ! love it love it ! i always get compliments and girls ask me what perfume i’m wearing when i wear it . it’s a beautiful fruity very sweet scent

Diamond Princess

This was definitely a blind by but I am glad that I did. However at initial spray i immediately noticed it smells just like Tease sugar fleur by Victoria’s Secret (already purchased). Now I pair them together and give off a lovely bubble gum, soapy and vanilla scent all day long. Im a hairstylist and my clients love it!

Candylover666

Pretty fragrance but very generic, geared toward teenage girls.
I find it interesting how many people say this perfume is lactonic because to me it does’t smell that way. This is very fresh for a perfume that’s labeled as gourmand.
The notes that stand out the most to me are apple and vanilla.
This is the kinda perfume that if you only spray a bit nobody would be able to tell whether you used an apple scented hair shampoo, laundry detergent or body lotion. It’s not a perfume that smells like an obvious perfume.
It’s easy to wear and crowd pleasing but does’t last very long.
I’d regret buying the 100ml bottle but I luckily got it on a huge discount.
Who knows, I might even fall in love with this scent.

Edit: After wearing it for a couple of weeks I can say I really do love the scent but the longevity is extremely poor.
It works like a body spray. I personally don’t like reapplying perfume that often so I would not repurchase it.
If you really love this scent and want it to last longer I recommend you get a 50ml or 30ml bottle to have in your purse to reapply it because this does NOT last longer than 1 hour.

mussulisa

Smells like the notes, yummy smelling. Very nice creamy vanilla candy apple type scent. I feel like it also smells a little bit like strawberry. I don't think it's that similar to thank you next 2.0, that one is a little bit more fresh/musky than this one. I like both though, I don't know which one I would prefer, sort of depends on my mood.

Princessy

First of all the bottle is soooo pretty, it carries my two favorite colours and I do understand why some people buy it solely for the adorable bottle.

Regarding the scent, the notes are very simple and straightforward : apple + whipped cream + vanilla. The rose is so subtle that I can't really detect it. The huge downside is the performance as the scent has poor longevity and projection. It's a skin scent that performs more like a body mist (1-2hrs). You really need to overspray on body and clothes, in order to be able to really smell it on yourself.

As someone stated below, if you want a better performer go for Tease Sugar Fleur from Victoria's Secret (even the body mist has great longevity, sillage and projection). They are not dupe, as Tease Sugar Fleur is sweeter and more bubblegummy. I have them both and really like to layer them.

kel0315

I blind bought this perfume because someone was selling a new in box tester with cap for $40 and it has good reviews overall. The bottle is super cute and quite heavy and the scent is simple and overall enjoyable. It's not my favorite perfume, but it's a great casual scent. It opens up with a very fresh apple note. It doesn't smell super sweet to me, but it is sweet. It smells like Bath and Body Works apple scented products and Kay ali Eden juicy apple. The opening is near identical. I don't detect any of the rose, but I'm sure it adds to the overall composition. I actually prefer that because I don't particularly enjoy the smell of roses. At the dry down you get a sweet, creamy lactonic vanilla. The whipped cream and vanilla are blended perfectly. It's feminine and very pretty smelling. I find that this perfume stays pretty close to the skin. It doesn't project far for me. After about 30 mins to an hour I couldn't smell it anymore unless I held my arm up to my nose. The scent was still very much there, but it doesn't travel much. Definitely an intimate scent.

DolceX_X

Not gonna lie, I love perfume for the juice of course, but I love collecting them for the bottles just as much. This perfume ticks both boxes, good juice and cute bottle! Upon first spritz, the beautiful crisp red apple shines through, and the whipped cream melts. The rose is very subtle and the vanilla blends so well with the rose into the whipped cream. I wouldn't say this is a groundbreaking perfume but I will say it's bright, creamy, and easy to wear. It last about 2-4 hours, so not crazy long but also it's silliage is inoffensive so you can reapply easily without becoming cloying, this is a great perfume to keep on the go with you in a travel spray. I really am happy with my purchase of this perfume, it's affordable and the bottle is absolutely adorable and I want to get Fairy Love flanker in this line as well xoxoxo

smolerin

I feel so pretty when I wear this. <3
I love the bottle and it reminds me of valentines day. The candy apple is so nice in the opening. I wish this wasn't limited edition because I really want another bottle in the future.

Snifftastic

This is a soft mildly tart apple with very sweet bubble gum and a splash of creaminess from that whipped cream note.

When you first spray Candy love the tart apple springs into action but quickly fades to let that bubble gum note take over. The apple note is still there just a bit softer and mixing with the bubble gum note so it's not as punchy as when you first spray it. Once that phase is complete it does blend into a soft apple, bubble gum cream. After that, it sits very close to the skin.

This has an adorable bottle so I can see why people buy it simply for the bottle and the juice just makes it a W. Longevity is just okay in my book as after an hour or so this does sit closer to the skin which is truly the biggest downside to this perfume. I wish it projected more as I find myself burying my face into my cardigan or where ever I spray this to get a whiff.

This really could be a signature scent-worthy fragrance if you don't mind this being a more intimate scent or re-applying.

If you don't mind re-applying every few hours it's a great scent profile and you'll def get a compliment or two. If you want sillage with longevity go for Victoria's Secret: Tease Sugar Fleur which is stronger and tarter than this.

Buffy72

The cutest sweetest/sour perfume mix in a girlish bottle!! I am owning up to it, the bottle influenced my decision to purchase this. Opens with sour candied apple, followed by rose and vanilla. As I said, cute!!!

justjenny123

the candy apple top note actually smells like a candied apple — and adds a crisp forward to what is a sweet, vanilla-heavy perfume. I love it. It lingers for about 3 hours. I do wish the top note stuck around longer, but I highly recommend!

Siskachicka

Im so happy when my sister gave me this perfume when she back home from the UK , i instanly falling in love with this scent right after first spray ... Its so yummy, sweet and very long lasting for an EDT

romantik

it’s just so good, i’m very happy i managed to get my hands on this even though it was limited. a super sweet scent, all of the notes come through to me and it lasts for a long time in my cold climate. the apple and rose notes in it slightly resembles scented cleaning products, however that disappears as it dries down.

comments i’ve gotten while wearing this fragrance:
”you smell so good”
”you smell like walking into the body shop”
”what perfume are you wearing today?”
”there is a strong smell here”

villainsami

i used to like this and honestly, it’s not a bad scent at all.

there’s a few things i personally don’t like about it.
• it doesn’t last long on me at all
• for me to actually get it to last, i had to use at least 7 sprays :(
• it’s too sweet for me

when i was rather new to fragrance, i usually looked for very sweet, gourmand scents
like overwhelmingly sweet

candy love is very fresh, sweet (extremely) but at the same time milky? which is cool, but not for me now that i’ve figured out what i actually like.

i find it important to mention that when i had this perfume, i was in a bad place and had bad anxiety problems. i associate this scent with that period of my life, so that’s why i don’t like it.

overall it’s an okay scent, not for me though. perhaps it’s more for younger audiences?

daisydoodie

I love this perfume so so much it's fruity but really creamy like a more lactonic version of Eden Juicy Apple minus the Bacaratt smell. Perfect for all seasons and has great sillage and longevity.

saturngigi

I’m sorry but it’s a literal headache. I like fruity and sweet perfumes but this is NOT it. Even if I smell it in the public I immediately get a headache. I don’t know if it’s only me but PLEASE if you want an apple perfume then try the kayali one! Plus it says that it has vanilla in it but it doesn’t at all. It’s just my opinion but I’m sure that on someone’s skin chemistry it smells more subtle and pretty!

chicagogirl

I got this on eBay after seeing it compared to Kayali Eden Juicy Apple (which I love but this is cheaper). Personally I do see some similarities but I don't find it to be a dupe. I like Kayali a lot more. Kayali is more mouth watering and tart and candy-like. This one is kind of generic fresh apple with floral notes. Still has a tart vibe but it isn't as bright and candyish like Kayali. Kayali's perfume has some tart berry and other notes added to it that make it so delicious. I have never smelled Thank U Next 2.0 but it does remind me of Ari. Still happy I bought it bc it's a fun scent but not a dupe of Kayali as I had hoped. I love loveee the bottle, it's tacky but idc! So cute and unique and fun.

Jeresa545

This smells exactly like strawberry Heartbeat lollies! I'm not sure if they're around anymore but they're little heart shaped candies with a very strong synthetic strawberry smell. Anyway, Candy Love smells exactly how those smell AND taste, if that makes sense. It's a very sweet, lolly scent with a sharp kick in it but it's not childish smelling at all. As someone mentioned below, it definitely is reminiscent of an Ariana Grande style of perfume. I also think the bottle is really fun and cute :)

cacemonster

I have already written review on this, but after owning and using it for a year, I love it even more. It is absolutely divine! Its perfect balance of sweet/sour/fresh/pretty! I do not find this juvenile at all. I do however feel I figured out when it really shine the brightest: during the colder season. In warmer weather i really feel it gets quite powdery on me (i dont like that). It has a very warm cozy scent once it dried down, I feel this can share signature with my beloved escada sentiment that is the perfect spring scent :) it remind me of candied apple, for red fruits tea with a whiff of cotton candy here and there. So sad its discontinued :(

sarage

When this was launched, I tested it for fun, but was surprised that it did not smell as juvenile as I expected, looking at the bottle. But to be honest, the little girl that lives in me, loves the bottle! It's kitchy and cute.
The scent is actually very nice, crispy apple with a suitable amount of sweetness. I would use this as my scent of the mornings and scent for relaxed summer days.
I like Candy Love more than Fairy Love, but Candy disappeared from the shelves as soon as Fairy Love was launched.

saffe

This is right up my alley! Reminds me of Ariana Grande's scents both the bottle design (which is so kitchy and cute!) and feel of this scent. Ultra sweet, hyper feminine and just lovely: this is for the days when you want to just feel like a princess 💖

Lykopa

This is rosy, synthetic candy apple fun! The lactonic aspect is nice. I’m not crazy about it as a whole, but it gets the job done. The dry down is very pleasant. I want to wear this on Christmas morning. Also it iniitally smells like apple no tears shampoo.
“The bottle looks like something Polly Pocket would have in her house” - Rebecca

gourmand_girlie

This has some similarities to Victoria's Secret "Tease - Sugar Fleur", but it is NOT identical as some claim:

- Candy Love has a touch of salt (kind of like in saltwater taffy), and is a bit sharper than Tease Sugar Fleur
- dry down on Candy Love comes quickly, and is a soft rose + sugary-vanilla candy accord
- dry down on Tease Sugar Fleur seems to retain more of the bubble gum + candy apple notes
- Candy Love doesn't seem to have as great of longevity or projection as Tease Sugar Fleur does

If you're looking for something more similar to Candy Love than Tease Sugar Fleur is, lasts longer, and is cheaper... try Memoire Archives x Francesca's "English Rose Garden" (more candy-like than the name suggests). It's a great dupe for this one.

Yosa

I'm 40 and I LOVE this fragrance! I find it fresh and uplifting. Sometimes when I wear it I think of Hubba Bubba (the pink bubble gum) - that scent but just FRESH! Thankfully I don't detect the vanilla on my skin, and I can't really pick up the cream either ~ nor the rose! It's just more fruity, I guess it's the red (candy) apple.

Does it smell synthetic? Sure! But that's not always a bad thing; if you like the smell of pick-and-mix candies, then Candy Love will be right up your alley too!

And NO, it's not just for young girls. Even though sweet scents are generally speaking targeted at a younger crowd, it's important to remember that the 'younger crowd' doesn't *own* sweet scents ~ ANYONE can have a 'sweet tooth'! And that taste is reflected through perfumes too.

Longevity: I get HOURS on my skin!
Side-note: Though sweet, it's not sickly sweet and never becomes cloying.
Bottle: Looks fab! Heavy material. For collection-purposes, I'd say get the 50ml, that looks the best in real life. (Then the 100ml, and 30ml last)

My only regret about Candy Love is that I didn't get a backup bottle of it! It's gone from most places now.
It's probably my favorite Escada scent since the '00 era of those gorgeous perfumes they made (Tropical Punch, Sexy Graffiti etc). Well, Candy Love, Cherry in the Air and Sorbetto Rosso.

Peaches&Cream

This reminds me of a cheap perfume shop that sells perfume for under $10. It is sweet and girly , I see this perfume being for young teenagers that are just getting started on buying cheapies. I like the scent since it smells like candy and marshmallow...the only thing is that it does not last long .

AriaLennon

Candy Love is a nice one since it does not have a cheap, plastic, or synthetic odor. The bottle is well-crafted and well-designed. It's sweet! Sweet, strawberry-like scent, luscious and creamy, but not sickly. The rose adds the finishing touch. This is a sure crowd-pleaser. The smooth, sweet whipped cream sticks far closer to the skin than the noisy and extremely entertaining candy apple. It's fresh, flirtatious, and enjoyable.

Miss Kittens

Sweet, girly, flirty, but not cloying. It's just what you would imagine biting into a sweet crisp red delicious apple would smell like.

OTA Mom

Tangy apple and rose with the power of a typical Escada.

msbqueen

I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I don’t find this that sweet. It’s more like a fresh apple. No cream but it does dry down to a softer fruity scent on me.

Andrews22

Such a sweet fragrance almost reminds me of Ariana Grande Thank u next 2.0.
To me this perfume is a candy sweet creamy scent.
PS if you spray too much you’re likely getting a headache as it’s pretty strong.
Overall it’s a beautiful sweet candy perfume.

Sade800

I wasn't impressed by this fragrance.
Very basic and generic.

I really liked Fairy love though

SailorCupcake

This is what I wanted Kayali Eden to smell like!

A sweet, bright red apple with a hint of vanilla candy and rose petals. Apple is dominant here. This is definitely going to be my fruity scent for fall!!

edit: this lasts a crazy long time for an EDT. The drydown is really nice, but was a little heavy for the heat here right now. This is going to be so lovely in the colder months!

Gemsense

Smells just like how Burberry Her smells in the winter time. Exactly the same, minus patchouli.but the patch is only noticeable in summer heat with Burberry. I look forward to trying this in different weather. I'd like to smell more rose, it's heavy caramel now. I like it a lot. It hits the spot! Mmmm soooo good!
A caramel apple! This smells like how an ooey gooey freshly dipped caramel apple tastes! I'm dang near 40 and im loving this!

Oh and it's not linear! No no no! It has depth! The vanilla and rose hold this up and make it real sexy sweet! So well blended! But the caramel apple 🍎 is the star 🌟 of the show, the base notes do their job well playing the supporting role.
Best escada fragrance ever! Usually escada fragrances do not do well with my chemistry but this is a first! I Love Love Love this!

likesleet

very safe blind buy and great teenager perfume. it smells exactly as it’s described and remains pretty static, i didn’t find that it changed much over several hours: the candy/red apple scent never leaves luckily.

Lanigirl1948

Finally found a blind buy that I actually like! I did look up reviews before I purchased but this scent is so wearable and clean. I don't get any red apple and not sure how to describe but on the fruity side. I have two other scents by Escada and I think this one is my favorite.

EauDeStank

Love this scent so much, super fruity and I really get the apple. Not candied apple, more of a super sweet fresh juicy apple, or straight apple juice.

Rozalina

Such a pretty, sweet, girly perfume! The heavy bottle looked so precious on my vanity, and would make a fun gift.
The notes are totally different but Candy Love immediately reminded me of Sweet Like Candy by Ariana Grande! I used to wear that one to bed a few summers ago and it’s basically spot on, except SLC was a bit airier and a little more effervescent, and the whipped cream note in Candy Love is stronger than in SLC.
I had to let Sweet Like Candy go because even though it was a darling little scent, I started to find it juvenile. When I bought Candy Love I had that same feeling but I tried to ignore it, and planned to wear it when I wanted to feel playful and flirty. But it didn’t feel quite right, so I gifted it to my friend’s 19 year old sister, for whom this will be a much better fit.

rezzmail

I absolutely love this scent, in colder days this feels like what Snow White would wear; youthful, sweet, and not too bright with a bit of a watery rose present. But on warmer days the candy apple shines bright with that lovely lactonic base making Candy Love just intoxicating.

Nicole0223

Love it smells like sweets creamy skittles or like sweet tarts

Scarbie

It's funny that the fruit note in this perfume is apple because it smells like strawberries and cream to me. I don't get apple at all. This is a very cute and sweet scent that I think all ages can wear. It smells nice on its on but layers well with other scents. I really like it over B&BW Boardwalk Taffy lotion.

Sillya

I love the opening of candy love, fruity, fresh, and easy-going. However, after 20 minutes at the most, it smells like sour milk on my skin, while also becoming increasingly perfumey. That scent lasts ages, unfortunately. I had to rub it off. The apple and strawberry from the opening were nowhere to be found. This one was very disappointing to me. :(

Perfumeaddict777

I picked this up at Marshall's today for pretty cheap had no idea what it would smell like and I absolutely love it. I love it for an easy reach, something fun sweet and Young. It actually smells like strawberries, strawberries and cream. I don't smell apple, and everyone else that smelled it on me said they smell strawberry and cherries. This is super yummy if you like sweet gourmand scents. It is not complex but it has really good longevity so far and seems to have decent sillage as well. I'm happy with it. Definitely worth 16 dollars!

avmist

Smells like it could be an apple flanker of Light Blue

Skinscents4Fusspots

This perfume on the card surprised me and made me genuinely consider buying it - a sweet but not sickly fresh apple and rose! So good and sooooo much crisper than I was expecting it to be. Sadly on my skin the dry down starts to smell a bit like caramel, which is not a note that I enjoy in perfumes generally speaking. If it smelt like it does straight from the bottle on my skin then I would absolutely have orrdered a full bottle! As so many people are comparing this to the new Ariana Grande perfume thank u next 2.0 I might try that one. I’d be happy to find a sweet gourmand fragrance that isn’t as overwhelmingly sweet!

libbyditz

ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE ALL TIME FAVORITES. 🍭💫 WILL POSSIBLY BE MY LIFE TIME PERFUME.
It is very, very unique. isn't tart at all like you'd expect from a sweet or candy-ish perfume. I never enjoyed overly tart smells like juicy couture.
It rides in with a sweetness/fruitiness and ends with a vibe of warm cotton candy. Very, very few fragrances can actually pull this off without being obnoxious to me. The base note does not over power the top notes either. It is well balanced.
I do wish it would last longer.

aleebearcx

An underrated fragrance! The notes are fairly simple and so is this perfume, I don’t smell much rose but it’s just straight forward candy apple and whipped cream. Sweet, fresh.. fruity and creamy all at the same time. The bottle isn’t my favorite but for the price, I can’t complain too much. The juice is what makes this perfume worth displaying the hideous bottle. Lol

Anything4talishas

For the creaminess and sweetness, this comes off surprisingly fresh and clean on me! Just bought it today, and I'm obsessed. Love the bottle. Can't wait to buy more escada fragrances!

Edit: wearing this today for the 1st time, sprayed it at 7:30 am, it's now 9:13 and I can't smell a thing unless I put my nose right against my skin and it doesn't seem to be sinking into my clothing so I would say this isn't very lasting, and you need to carry the bottle with you to touch up 🤷♀️ I like the scent but not the best longevity for my 1st escada perfume.

ashleybaby444

to me this and the kayali juicy apple one are about the same and you could probably swap one with the other. super fruity with mainly apple coming through. i’d say this you small more of that cream note than kayali. very yummy. ok projection and longevity

hexed

As a child I had a little heart-shaped pot of lip gloss that had a very odd, squishy texture. The shade was a sheer pink with some silvery shimmer running through it. It smelled exactly like this!

typeonegative333

Sweet, delicious green apple & fruity fragrance, wow! Unfortunately, zero longevity- absolutely none. As soon as I spray it on my skin, it diminishes? What? Kind of confusing.

irlfireprincess

I mostly get candy apple and rose from this. By the time it dries down, the scent has mostly faded away. Somehow the candy apple note seems to last through the life of the fragrance. I don’t get the vanilla and whipped cream. Mainly it’s a very fruity, fresh, light, fun fragrance. I love it but wish it lasted longer and projected more. But for a $17 blind buy at Marshall’s I’m happy.

Edit: at least on me, longevity is even worse than I originally stated. Downgrade my longevity rating from weak to very weak. Doused my arms in this a little bit ago and 20 minutes later I smell almost nothing, just the very faintest whiff of apple. By the votes here on Fragrantica, I see that it performs on others much better, so I think I’m adding this to my swap shelf. If you’re in the USA and want this, send me a message.

almondluver1

This is such an adorable perfume!! Just look at that bottle 😍💗! The design alone made this perfume blind-buy worthy for me 😂.

This is incredibly sweet. Smells like fluffy creamy sweet apples & strawberries (even tho there’s no strawberry note). It smells like a hybrid of Bath & Body Works + Ariana Grande Thank U Next 2.0. I think if you like fruity strawberry BBW fragrances and Ariana Grande, you’ll love this!! Someone below also mentioned BS Midnight Fantasy, and I 100% agree. It’s sweet, fruity, and “shampooy” like Midnight Fantasy, but replace the cherry with apples & strawberries.

Lanigirl1948

I am happy to have finally purchased a 'blind buy' fragrance that I like - just wish the longevity and sillage was better. (isn't that the case??? and when you find ones you don't like, they seem to last forever!) But I love the clean, fruity first burst of this fragrance yet don't pick up any of the above notes; it's just a nice everyday fragrance and for a great price at Marshalls. I already own Miami Blossom but prefer this one over that. As for the 'cute heart shaped bottle' ... wish it was in their usual shaped bottle; would be much easier to get the top off. But it's a keeper for me.

petalsandpotion

I don't have the biggest, nor the most high end collection, but it ain't cheap either... I would have never in a million years picked this up had I not seen a YTer I love raving about how good this is. I saw a bottle at Marshall's for less then 20 bucks so I thought why not? Wow. I can't believe how much I adore this! The packaging is fugly so I didn't have high hopes, but it's beautiful, yummy, not the synthetic mess I expected based on the packaging. I really truly love it.

TabledThoughts

The rosey mid note makes this fun candy apple fragrance pretty and slightly less juvenile.
Vanilla whipped cream makes it delicious.
Settles in a little musky on my skin and I like that.
Fair amount of lasting power for an edt.
Cute sweet tart heart shaped atomizer.
At 26 bucks for a 100 ml (tjmaxx) I am really enjoying this fragrance.

martagonlily1

If you are into gourmand, this perfume does not disappoint.

@diorspears - I wish I could find it at that price. I am on the hunt for the bigger bottles for my daughter's back ups. Yesterday, I've seen two 30 mls at Marshall's for $16.99 each. I did not pick them up.

AmarilisV

The only thing I don’t enjoy is that it doesn’t last long on me. Slight synthetic smell, but it’s a pretty scent over all. You get the freshness from the apple. You get the sweetness because of that whipped cream, and the rose tries to calm it all down. But the sweet cream and apple definitely win the battle! This can be for someone very young or for someone older that likes sweet scents. The bottle is juvenile but cute and I don’t mind having it. If it’s not on sale, don’t purchase it, because it doesn’t last long.

diorspears

Very sweet in a good way. One of my favorite gourmand scents I own. I was so glad Ross was selling the 3.3 oz one for 22 dollars.

VMonster

I have had this scent on my mind for a few weeks now, having heard some people online talk about it. I've been on a high of "pink" fragrances, remnants of Valentine's vibes swirling in my brain. And with life being kinda hard, I crave sweet-candy scents to lift my mood. They're easy to wear casually. Some reviewers expect too much of a scent from Escada called Candy Love. Look a the name, the bottle, the branding, and understand the target they are trying to hit. Not pushing boundaries, so don't expect that. It is unfair to be derisive toward a fragrance that isn't the vibe you're going for and call it "juvenile." Consider the objective and grade according to that rather than your own scent preferences/expectations. Candy Love is a good one for its class--it doesn't smell cheap, plastic, or synthetic, and it performs quite well for an EDT formulation. The bottle is well made and designed--I appreciate what they were going for. I think it's aiming to be more whimsical than childlike.

So the scent: It's candy! Sweet, strawberryish apple-y, juicy and a little creamy, but not sickening. The touch of rose rounds this out. Lots of layering possibilities here: You're the One or Pink Chiffon from BBW, or you could wear this atop any vanilla lotion or body cream and smell like a sugary treat. This is a crowd-pleaser, but you have to understand that it's not going to be something unconventional or sophisticated; it isn't trying to be! Enjoy it for what it is. A steal for what I paid ($27 USD for the 100 ml at TJ Maxx).

RachelLondon

Apple and sweet candy on a cloud of whipped cream. Innocent and sweet, completely unpretentious. For days when you want a little bit of joy and frivolity and perhaps a break from more complex perfumes. Doesn't stink of plastic like certain brands I can think of that have a similar fragrance profile and target market. A safe blind buy, IMO.

amyaz

Surprised nobody said this, but on my skin it smells almost exactly like Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy.

tresi

Strawberry ice cream.
Light, playful, enjoyable. Perfect around Valentine's, when spring is in the air.

sibaraa

This will make a 12 years old girl so happy. Cute bottle though. Such an immature fragrance....

nelise29

I've been seeing this lately at Marshall's for a good price.

Luluteeter

If you had any of the Escada summer perfumes in the 2000’s, this will feel very familiar to you. A lovely candy apple fruity smell. The easiest blind buy!

cacemonster

This is my second review after owning it for a while, and I bought 3 backup bottles, and also think I might be ordering more lol. I absolutely love it! Sooo nice on my skin! It is like a burst of sweet apples in beginning. Like juicy red sweet apple with some cotton candy vibe making it warm and sweet but not too much. It never get too sweet or cloying. It dry down quite linear, doesnt change much except a tiny bit powdery, but not much. As I wrote earlier too, it give off some whiffs reminding me of a cup of sugared red fruit tea. It is very warm comforting sweet but also fresh in a way because of the apple. The rose is not very prominent in any way, but it is there to make the other notes round off in a rosey way, if that make sense. I reach for it almost every day. It does last quite long but after a few hours it is more a skin scent that linger a long time. I absolutely love it!!

brumbarche

Chuppa chups lollipop “strawberry cream”, but with a twist of apple tartness. I wish it were even more literal, like … the exact strawberry cream flavor in a bottle, since it’s my favorite lollipop ever! But this comes close enough :) it simple but, it feels like a perfume, rather than a Halloween sugar party.
If you’ll excuse me - I’ll go douse myself in it now…

Gigiija

Smells like a fruit candy shop. Very pleasant and delicious.

tandem_4x4

I bought it - great candy apple for daily use

Matchalemon

Strawberry yogurt for sure. Airy, youthful, fresh, and not too sweet. My recent favorite scent. That said, I think it’s also nice for spring and fall. I think The longevity and projection is weak—similar to body mist.

Nancy83

Good projection on me. A lot of roses and burnt sweetened apples, not as sweet as expected (and wished). More a everyday light girly perfume, I prefer mine a bit deeper. Shampooish, kind of reminds other rose perfumes I have tried. Very Escada-esque, not too far from Miami Blossom that I own from them.

;I<3perfume

I blind bought this perfume as I loved the bottle, it smelled less sweet as I imagined but I absolutely love it!!! It smells of sugary red apples to me. Would definitely re purchase 👍

cacemonster

This was a blind buy just based on good reviews and notes. I dont think I ever would have even picked up the bottle to smell it, because of the extremely non-appealing bottle. I think it looks like something that could come with a doll or something. But as said, you should never judge a book by its cover, and that goes for fragrances too. At first smell off the bottle, I was a little worried. It was very sweet, like I love sweet scents, but even this started out a little too much for me. Well, spraying it on, it really is so sweet, but as time fly, it settle down more calm and warm on me luckily. I actually like it more and more, and have to sniff my arm regularly. Its a very non-offensice smell, not to heavy or overpowering. I enjoy it more and more, and I will probably buy another bottle too before it most likely disappear from store as most fragrances do. A nice blind buy surprise! I think this will be a safe blind buy for all liking sweet scents :)

Edit: having used it many more times i absolutely love it! It really grew into my new favorite! Its so nice on my skin, and I reach for it almost every day. I will buy multiple bottles before they are totally sold out. I cant believe this ugly bottle (imo) could smell this good! I actually smell some strawberry too, some whiffs give me a scent of a red fruit tea i used to drink.

Meowboo66

Just ordered a back up bottle before it sells out
I absolutely love this!! One of the best sweet fruity scents I own
Smells exactly like the notes described
I recommend
10/10 💖

Taliera

Strawberry is not listed in the notes, so I’m going to say it’s an olfactory illusion… But to me, this Escada flanker is the PERFECT strawberry scent. I have a blueberry scent, a cherry scent, a lemon scent, etc… but no strawberry scent! It’s sweet and girly, fun and lighthearted. The ridiculous bottle may be for a 5 year old, but it’s growing on me… Hold it to your heart, and honestly ask your inner child “do you love it?” Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gruhlanska96

Very girly, sweet fragrance. It doesn’t smell cheap. I really like it. 🌸🌸🌸

Madyana

Every time my daughter uses this I ask what she has sprayed?
This is still in stores, but not for long. My daughter didn’t like the new release as much as this one. This leaves a really beautiful, creamy trail behind, youthful but not childish and this lasts perfectly for her.

dglightblue

Initial spray and test: oh bummer, I wish I hadn't bothered buying this.
Simplistic, sweet, rounded.

I'm not crazy about the scent through synthetic fabric, takes on a bit of a blueberry thing which comes off to me as light fruity tobacco.

After 20 mins or so...
Apple: I dont detect apple. Something which could be apple maybe, thin non tart non realistic sweet apple hand cream maybe
Rose: no rose detected. Not fresh or jammy, nor woody fresh sort either.
Vanilla, yeah probably somewhere.

Its pleasant, it's another escada sweet fruity. I have a couple of fruity escada already so dont need thing one. Too similar. I do get decent longevity out of escada though

Slightly warm, fruity, rounded, no florals so good if you're not a florals person. Its leaning a touch fresher now
Whipped cream: yeah I suppose so, lending a thicker creaminess, possibly laconic edge.

EDIT, righty-o, last night i spritzed all over myself, not just on one place. this is better when used everywhere. its in line with Escada fruities in terms of that fresh, tart sorta feel. this is bright, the whipped cream is way in the dry down, its not rosey much.
yeah im not blown away with it, i may gift this away. the sillage was decent (ive unexpectedly had very good performance from escada even if some think their offerings are juvenile, candy love included. i could smell it on my jumper from several meters away off and on. quite pleasant overall.
Bottle, very good, its a plasticy covered looking heart from photos - well its nice heavy glass and looks well made, the lid is also.

Mariyamokshina

Rally cute and fun. At first whiff on a test strip , it reminds me of apple flavored gummy bears . Now understand when people say that a perfume smells like it’s fir a teenager . This seems to me like something a body mist would smell like , not necessarily a perfume . I did not try it on my skin

Alysha

I liked the brief top notes, but the dry down kept smelling like Light Blue, which I don't really enjoy. This scent has very good lasting power and it's not bad if you like Light Blue.

michelle779

I’m keeping it around for decoration. It’s not a bad scent, there’s just nothing unique about it. I’ve probably worn it once since I bought it.

Frontandscenter

A generic sweet gourmand. So many others smell like this. On me it’s got no lasting power.
Unremarkable.

Juspaigeme

Sugary, sweet deliciousness! Smells like sweet candy apples, vanilla and whipped cream. The rose is very mild almost non-existent. It’s girlie, flirty, fun and youthful without smelling childish. Men always seem to compliment this one!

Joshhiggins32

This is a very nice fragrance that surprised me. Never tried any others from the brand but this was on clearance and I figured might as well try it and it was honestly a surprise that it smells as good as it does! This is a Creamy, sweet, fun playful fragrance that you could use anytime. It’s not cloying to me and I find it lasts and projects very nicely for the price range! If you find one and you love sweet fragrances, this is a great one to put on the list! You won’t be disappointed!

MaxieF

This was a bit of a disappointment. It should have been super sweet and candy like but it's actually very floral and smells like a shampoo. Kind of headache inducing. Really artificial and not in a good way. It is strong though unfortunately for me I keep getting whiffs of it on my arm even though I washed it twice.

FloralJasmine

This must be one of my new favorites! I'm a huge lover of fruity/gourmand fragrances covered in sweetness, which Candy Love checks all the boxes.

At first I got the top note of apple candy which quickly mixed in with rose and whipped creme. This combinationg makes the fragrance quite light and airy. The vanilla never really pops out for me, it just stays quiet blended in with the rest of the notes, which I like.
Even though this perfume is really sweet, it doesn't smell artificial.
The scent stays on for about 3 to 4 hours, but by that time the sillage is quite intimate. And considering it's an EDT, paying 80 dollars (used a currency converter since I don't live in the US) for 50 ml is personally a bit overpriced, so I'd recommend getting it at a sale or online.

However, all in all, totally in LOVE with Candy Love by Escada and will therefore give this one a 9.5/10. :)

Eliza777

To me it smells like shampoo. It’s quite sweet but not sickly sweet. I mostly smell the candy apple on my clothes but on my skin I smell more vanilla. I don’t regret buying this perfume but I probably wouldn’t repurchase 6/10

Heidi2021

Flirty, sweet but not as sweet as I expected. It was a blindbuy but a pretty great one. Im happy with this. It is great spring and summer perfume. If you like flirty, sweet scents, this is good! Bottle is cute.

Jessie292

This perfume reminds me of one I used to wear when I was 18 which is ed hardy hearts and daggers. They both have a strong apple flavor. I love the bottle but I still find this scent a bit childish. However, I feel I am still going to weat this in the fall months on the weekends. I don't really think this is the kind of fragrance I would wear to work. Longevity is ok as well as sillage.

Edit: the dry down has a weird scent almost like a torched meringue. It still good but definitely a fall, cozy, whipped cream on a fresh apple pie that was in the oven a little too long (Without cinnamon) kinda feeling

Hunnynpink

when I first got this it smelled like any apple body mist you can get from the store. but I wore it today and its actually a delicious sent that lasted all day into bedtime... sweet and fruity. I gave this to my daughter, I think it's too young for me, she likes it and it looks cute in her room.

dovey

What a huge disappointment
I wanted to love it, based on its cute bottle, the notes, the name candy & the fact that I love Escada but NO
It doesn't smell good at all!
It's got that lemony cigarette like dry down of nina ricci the apple (which I hate!! I mean for God sakes who wants to smell like cigarettes!!!!)
And also it's got a few drops of that artificial red apple note from vs bombshell (which literally makes me feel sick & feel like vomiting)

Once again thank God for testers
Pass

Edemay

Tried this yesterday!

Firstly yes its super sugary sweet, but thankfully it doesn't smell like a cheap chemist scent.
It smells a lot like kate spade when it dries down but no citrus or intense ambroxan
Don't think it smells like an 'apple' scent, it just smells super sweet like confectionary
My mother commented that she liked it which is strange because she usually dislikes sweet scents.
And yes you will get compliments on this

dearaari

Tested this in store on my wrist. It has lasted me the entire shopping trip and well into the night. I’ll admit this is a little young for me, but akin to something I’ve worn in my younger years, it’s very comforting. It’s winter atm and the scent is very Candy heavy and sweet. Reminds me of Nina by Nina Ricci that I used to wear to work years ago. It’s got that rich warm feel to it, not that fruity fresh apple like the DKNY range. I agree with some of the comments likening it to a cookie. It is yummy! But it has some floral nuances (which is a synthetic mixmash) to keep it from smelling overtly juvenile. I tested it alongside Sofia by Sofia Vergara which I have been eyeing for ages due to good reviews. Candy Love is muchhhh better. Tbh I wouldn’t mind a bottle. Quite nice.

Nickj3216

I love this fragrance very sweet I received a compliment and said you smell amazing! I am glad I brought this today for my collection bought it as a blind buy very good price here for 39.99

KHunton

Candy Love is great for someone like me who loves to smell like yummy, sugary candy.
I can smell it on myself 6 hrs now so I'm loving its performance!
Way better than most Escadas
CL reminds me a lot of KKW Kimoji BFF but I actually like this better because this is more well rounded possibly by the vanilla, BFF is a little sharp & screechy.
Candy love is far better value (under half the price of BFF)
I actually love the bottle, surprisingly its glass not plastic

Elvie91

I have 50ml bottle but i have to get 100ml one before it becomes hard to find.
I will pick it up in 2 or 3 weeks.
A must for me. Sillage and longevitiy are great on me and it smells so nice. It is wearable in spring, fall and winter. Maybe summer evening too. Very good easy reach, with pretty whipped vanilla that is intoxicating and some candid apples but it is so well blended together that i really enjoy it so much!

inspe13

The name of the perfume is very accurate for once. This does smell like a hard fruit candy, like a fruity apple lollipop.
It looks and it smells like it would make some little girl very happy.

Tomadeupjazz

This is sooo yummy. I passed it up a few times at Kohl’s because the bottle is 😖. Not cute at all and very child like. Not gonna lie, the juice inside is as well BUT for a gourmand sweet lover like myself that part is all good. This for sure smells like sweet candy apples. It’s a very sugary candy coated apple smell when first sprayed and then it dries down to a vanilla creamy candy apple. I have yet to experience the rose but I’ve found that fragrances can smell a little different depending on the day so I will keep wearing it to see if that scent note comes out or if I can detect it more one day. I love this so far. Literally was love at first sniff as soon as I sprayed it in my car. Not long lasting at all though. You would have to apply Vaseline, overspray and spray on clothes to get it to stick around. Nice little blind buy scent that would be a good throw on when you’re craving a tooth ache inducing perfume

YouseiPrince

Based off of the notes i thought i was going to adore this scent! I love anything gourmand and sweet ^_^ But my first impressions upon smelling it was that it was suuuper fruity! To me it had a burst of pure apple. I dont even know if I would call it "candy apple" like the notes would suggest, it kinda smelled more like a very fresh apple.
After about an hour of wear, I noticed a very subtle "gingerbread"-y smell along with a hint of rose, which im kind of relieved about! Reading most of the reviews, it seems like a lot of people didn't catch the rose which was kind of a bummer for me but i was able to get a little but of it.
I'd say this scent is overall very prominent with the apple smell for most of the wear, it's only near the end when the vanilla comes out and gives it a very nice, sweet, softness.
Overall I am pretty pleased with this perfume! Honestly It's not particularly amazing or stand-out-ish since it has a very basic set of notes, but for a blind buy I'd definitely call it a win :)
As for the bottle, i think its cute but also a little tacky lol. It's definitely not elegant by any means and i kind of reeally wish the painted, red heart in the middle would've been a little window to show how much juice you have left! But on the bright side it can totally stand up on its own, which i appreciate. So you don't need to awkwardly set it on it's back like the Angel perfumes haha.
xoxo - <3 Stevie

alexz_88

My mom, when she smelled it, was like "It smells like a cookie." Beautiful crispy apple with whipped cream & vanilla. I don't get, pretty much, any rose note. If you know somebody who likes very gourmand fragrances it can be a good present for you to buy them. I find it good for all year long, but for hot summer days it can be too much actually to handle.

Mariasch

I actually like this one. After the "burning" smell of cotton candy sets.. the sweetness and deep scent enters.
I like it more and more and it gives a sexy flirty touch.

PNWscents

My fiancé loved this perfume on me. Which was odd, since he usually loves florals.
It smells as if I was walking through a carnival and I had stopped at the cotton candy and candy apple stall.
It’s youthful, flirty and fun. I think the price is worth it if you get it on sale and if you love sweet perfumes.
I’m glad I blind bought it!! I love it and I don’t have anything like it.

DiscoPolga

Fun branding, fun packaging, fun notes...but the end result is a fruity shampoo smell. Very young and with no depth, I don't get the creamy base at all. I will be giving this away to my 12 year old niece.

Mona Lygre

I had so high hopes for this good looking perfume, so, I smelled it today, and, naaaa, I didn't pass my nose, cause it itched, and, than I can't wear it....

Otherwise, Escada is one of my absolute fav brands, my holy grale is Sentiment, I have worn out a lot of bottles, and Hippie Ibiza is one that I love, I still have the empty bottle, than there are my two Especiallys,

but, for sure I will get my hands on the Summer Festival, and than somebody else will get very happy to own the Candy Love =))

Perfumegoddess23

❥ ♡ ❥ Escada tends to captivate me during the warmer seasons for spring/summer & of course vacations! Their vibrant colorful themes are eye catching for sure. The packaging on this one is absolutely adorable ! I thought this would look really cute on my perfume vanity , I do like Escada scents so I blind purchased this. I am so glad I did, I am happy to wear this fragrance this spring & summer as this scent is very fruity , playful, & most of all FUN ! This is definitely a very nice addition to their range. The scent smells like actual fantasy fair candy apples with my body chemistry, mixed with that soft florally whisper of femininity. For a eau de toilette this packs a punch with longevity. The scent isn’t obnoxiously sweet but rather a pleasant tart feminine fruity type scent. I rate this one 5/5! This is exactly the type of smell I like to go for in the spring and summer. My favorite signature scent is the complete opposite of this which is also interesting. This always seems to be the case with Escada scents ,they aren’t the most unique & sophisticated scents ,but they are fun & playful and sometimes that’s exactly the type of fragrance we want to reach for during the warmer weather seasons. I really love the dry down on this as well. It really sticks well to skin & clothes ,& settles to more of a nice soft floral on myself. Then it really gives off gentle whiffs of fruitiness, I must say Escada did a great job on this little golden nugget ❥ ♡ ❥

Balletflowers

Received my bottle today. Such a youthful, fun, uplifting, bright fragrance just like the cute bottle! Fruity & sweet but light & not overpowering so you don’t feel embarrassed like you’re wearing something that’s your little sisters lol. It gives me pink bubble gum, girly vibes. I definitely smell all the notes listed. The only downside is it is extremely weak, poor projection & lasting power. I spray it & cannot smell it an hour later?

SailorV

As expected, this really is a candy fragrance. It doesn't cross the line to cloying though, due to the apple note it's even a little tart and fresh.
I generally enjoy fruity notes, but apple can be difficult. Even though I love red candy apples, I'm really not a fan of the sweet and sour mess that is artificial green apple flavor. While this lists a candy apple note, I unfortunately also get a bit of that green apple. The card that came with my sample says this is made of natural ingredients, but the apple note doesn't smell realistic or natural to me.
The rest of the fragrance is sweet and vanillic. I don't find it to be milky like whipped cream, it's more of a fuzzy, bright vanilla. The rose is a nice addition that keeps this simple sweet perfume from smelling like an apple pie scented shower gel.

Candy Love smells fine, especially after it has dried down. It's innocent and clean, so it would work perfectly well as a first perfume for a little girl with a sweet tooth. Even the bottle wouldn't look out of place between Barbies and pretend make-up kits.
I have no problem with wearing scents like this as an adult - candy has no age limit. It's just the use of that plastic apple that spoils it a little for me. Had they used any other fruity note or a realistic ripe red apple, I would enjoy it much more.

ohsointricate

I tested this at Kohl’s to see if I would like it, and I’m glad I did so before buying! I was hoping for more of that whipped cream and vanilla, as I imagined that plus the yummy candy apple and rose would be sooo good together. Unfortunately, by the time I smelled the base notes, it was pretty much faded? I’m not sure of the quality of the tester either, or if they update the bottles after how ever many years, so it may be old?

I sprayed once on my wrist, and the blast of tart, sweet candy apple filled the air. I mostly just get the candy apple and a fresh, airy rose- not so much of the other notes. For some reason, it smells a bit tropical to me. Like a sunny day in warm weather. I also think it smells a bit too juvenile for my tastes. In the warmth and sunlight this smells pretty nice, but it is just simply not my kind of fragrance. The bottle is really cute though!! :-)

rachellecunningham

Oh Escada, you had me at "Candy." And love it is, indeed! I mean, how could I not fall madly in to candy love with a wonderfully kitschy bottle like that? Opening with a sour, sparkly candy apple, I wasn't expecting it to project very well... but an hour after spraying, I kept catching whiffs of something juicy, tart and sweet. I spent a good minute or two trying to find out what that delicious smell was, before realizing it was me! Another hour later, and I was wearing a completely different scent; soft, sweet whipped cream that stays much closer to the skin than the loud and wildly fun candy apple. Is it young? Yes. But that's not a bad thing! It's fun to smell fun, and Escada is the best at making that happen.

Shwets

I can't believe the change this perfume goes through! Started off as sweet tart sweets and dried down like D&G light blue with good longevity!

So. This actually reminds me of Delina...

Escada candy love is a nice perfume with a warm and sweet heart. Sadly I really don't like the strong tartiness in this one. To my nose it feels exactly like the same tarty note I don't like in Delina...

You've smelled it a thousand times already. It's bbw spray, sweet like candy etc...there's no exciting evolution to the dry-down. I was hoping to get that whipped cream note, but nope. What you spray is what you get, candy. Cute bottle, but this is way overpriced. The scent is for a child.

I am so glad I did not blind buy this. I really wanted to like it, since I am a sucker for pretty packaging and anything that smells like candy/vanilla/whipped cream. But Kohl’s had it available in store, so I figured I should do the prudent thing and go test it first.

What a disappointment. I am absolutely not smelling what everyone else seems to be smelling. The initial blast was harsh and sour, and has not settled down four hours later. It smells very much like Victoria’s Secret Bombshell, which is also quite harsh to my nose. They both remind me of grass clippings and rotten oranges - neither one is supposed to smell like that, so perhaps there is some ingredient in them that just doesn’t work for me. But it stands to reason that there may be someone else out there who has the same problem, so for that reason, I’d recommend testing before buying. At least I saved myself $50.

Delicious, uplifting and fun!

I got this perfume as Valentines gift from my beloved, and I am over the moon. The bottle, the aesthetic, the scent, everything is just so sweet and cute!

Let me just say, that it's no wonder that he picked out this perfume for me. My other half LOVES sweet, fruity vanilla scents on me and this ticked all the boxes. It also helps that pink is one of my favourite colours and that I looooove sweeties and candy. The opening spray is soooo sugary and sweet, literally smells like I've dived head first into a pool of gummy bears. Then I get the lovely creamy vanilla note, something vaguely floral (I'm guessing the rose) before setting down into a pretty, light, fruity apple scent with a dollop of whipped vanilla.

Is this something you wear with a ball gown to an event, or to an interview at a big-shot company? No, absolutely not. But it doesn't need to be. Not all perfumes need to be ground-breaking or masterpieces, sometimes you just want to smell like a delicious candy apple at a funfair covered in sugar and whipped cream, and that's okay.

I would absolutely buy Candy Love again.

This perfume makes me very happy. When I was a kid I got a Barbie that was supposed to be a strawberry princess or something like that and she was coming with a small perfume. It smelled so similar to this! I obviously dropped that bottle and it went everywhere and my room smelled like this strawberry candy for days 😊 I took this one, even if it is only for the sake of memories 🥰

I was so excited to add this to my collection. Anything sweet is a YES from me, and I've always loved Escada scents. The bottle is adorable and presentable. I tested this at the shop and it smelled great to me, but once I got home and wore it for a day or two I was just so BORED. In the bottle the juice smells great, the candy apple is really noticeable and yummy but on dry down it ends up making me smell like a gummy bear which I do not enjoy. The silage is OK but this fragrance ends up sitting very close to the skin. It is definitely cheap smelling and seems more like a teen scent. I ended up getting a horrible migraine and nausea from this and sadly I cannot stomach this scent any longer. It's too bad because it had such great potential.

I've been eyeing this fragrance since it's announcement in fall of last year. I got word that it would hit the U.S. in January of this year, so it was just a matter of waiting. I had seen some mixed reviews on Fragrantica, which almost convinced me to pass on this fragrance. But I've been waiting so patiently and the bottle was so appealing, i didn't want to overlook this fragrance without at least giving it a sniff. So i stopped my local Kohls to test it, and i must say, i was very pleased with what Candy Love had to offer.

Upon first spray, i get a bright and sweet blend of Mandarin and Candy Apple. It's unusual, but in the best way possible. The Mandarin did take me by surprise because it's not listed as a note on here and Escada did not really advertise it, but it's listed in the description on their website as "Green Mandarin". About 30 minutes in, the Mandarin calms and the Candy Apple really flourishes. About 45 minutes of wearing this fragrance, the creamy Vanilla accompanies the Candy Apple and creates a very delicious blend that left me constantly sniffing my wrist. To my surprise, the Rose is very silent, almost nonexistent in this fragrance. But i have 0 complaints. Candy Love is, indeed, colorful and delicate. It's also playful, innocent, and perfect for a day out with your friends or a lunch date with that special someone. Candy Love lasted about 5 hours on my skin with up to 3 feet of sillage. Overall, Escada did an amazing job with this fragrance. For what i paid, it's definitely worth it, from the bottle to the juice inside. Bravo, Escada!❤❤❤

I just love this perfume, I have had it for a few weeks now, before Kohl's got it in the USA. I was afraid my 50ml bottle wasn't going to be enough. I am glad Kohl's has the perfume, I have ordered the 100ml gift set. This perfume Candy Love is different for Escada, but I am glad they made this. On the first spray I get a shampoo like freshness which I love, but it doesn't stay like that the whole time, it develops into a candied apple backed by the whipped cream, and vanilla, and slight rose. Think Winter Candy Apple by Bath and Body Works minus all the harshness and spiciness that it has. Candy Love has a good balance to me, and it pretty good for an EDT. I would say this would make a great gift for Valentine's Day.

just recently tried this. I do love a good candy smell, but this was not good. First of all it was STRONG. It projected like a beast on me with one tiny little spray. It immediately hit me in the brain; instant headache. I scrubbed this but it still hung on for dear life. Thankfully it only lasted an hour more after the scrub. I didnt get any lactonic or creaminess in this. It smelled just straight up like a sour gummy bear only not in the yummy way. Extremely acidic and sickeningly sweet. bottle is cute though! I wouldn't recommend unless you reaaally like to smell like sour candies.

ladolcemae

The comments are harsch! Its not bad. Just extremely sweet. I didn’t get the apple but the candy smell is spot on, it’s easy, it’s festive, it’s sweets and lolipops in a christmas market. A tiny bit acidic. Yes it’s chemical and cheap and kinda childish but so are Haribos and both are edible. Would i buy? No. Would i wear? Probably not. Do i like it? Yessss

Candy Love was a blind buy for me based on the notes. As a gourmand fragrance lover, I really enjoy this fragrance. I don't detect the candied apple note, it smells more like raspberry. The rose note is there, but very subtle. Initial spray is strong and the alcohol is noticeable, but the scent settles quickly on the skin to a linear, sweet, fruity fragrance. Good sillage too! People will definitely smell this on you.

Okay I deleted my original post and decided to do a newer updated one since I haven’t really don’t one since the day I bought it. I will ALWAYS stand by Escada, there summer time limited edition releases are some of my favourite scents, I was introduced to them in a way that brings nostalgia to means that could be pet of it but also I genuinely LOooooooooove that summer time beach, girly etc smell. Now, this yea... I will say I love it right off the hop that this smells girly fruity sweet BUT it’s almost too sweet for what the Escada brand is known for, not to mention the bottle doesn’t stick to the original bottle they use, ridiculous point to make I’m sure but I like them-they look good together on my perfumes shelves haha. The bottle is cutesy...ya know, like cutesy for my preteen type cutesy. I don’t love the scent but I Don’t see myself getting as much use out of this as all the other escada limited summer editions they put out-I’ve gone through MULTIPLE bottles of each year for the past at least six years!!!! This, not so sure! I do love the smell just not my Escada I’ve grown to love and respect!!!

bel.gravia

I dont smell any roses or apple just a delicious vanilla milkshake 😍 soft whipped cream, light fluffy and dreamy. Not too sweet at all. Very happy. A medicine to cure the winter blues. The other fragrance that has this whipped cream scent is Midnight Fantasy by B.Spears - love them both!

Daniela_Beatriz

This is an Incanto (Shine, Charm, whatever one) that doesn’t turn on my skin. The Incantos always have a bleacher like smell on my skin, and I really would like them to work. Candy Love is exactly what I would expect the Incantos to be on me. I thought I wouldn’t want Candy Love because of its generic fruitness of it, alas I did and it lasts aaaaaaages on my skin, which only happened to one Escada before (Magnetism) as the other Escadas on my skin are very volatile.

raiza1990

This really smells like candy. A bit like those tart yogurt candies. One more sugary Escada scent. Could easily be a celebrity fragrance. Not bad, but done a thousand times. Smells a bit childish too.

This screams cheap! The only positive side is a cute bottle which is really adorable in real life, but the scent itself is s dissapointment. At first it smells like a cheap drugstore synthetic vanilla and dessert fragrance, a lot of Zara fragrances have that smell. Its so synthetic, that i could barely stand. It later starts smelling like a candy apple (approx. after 40mins) which is not bad at all, but still its so basic and cheap smelling, that i cannot believe Escada put their name on it. It could have been done so much better. I agree that it has a lot in common with Nina Ricci's Nina and even more with Nina Rouge, which i honestly also dislike.
I try to find positive things to say but i simply cannot. If this would be poured into plain bottle without any name or brand i would not be impressed at all based only on a scent itself. I wouldnt pay more than 15eur for this.

Do not remove this comment, i strongly believe not every single comment should be positive and negative ones are actually quite useful for people who buy blindly

Cute and lovely pink candy perfume! Could be a good gift for the teenager girl. Shape of heart looks lovely. The scent is light and girlish. Reminds me apples by Nina Ricci and slightly reminds Candy by Prada. But this one a little bit more simple then them and sillage is less.

I have the 30 ml bottle.
It is an eau de toilette that lasts between 3 - 4 hours with a medium intensity for the first hour and then remains in a soft medium.
This perfume transmits a single line of aroma and is made of cotton candy somewhat fresh thanks to the freshness of the apple, it ends up being a very linear aroma. If the aroma of the apple is present but where is the caramel? It is not a caramelized apple, in the perfume of Nina Rouge you can feel an apple covered with caramel, here it is a fresh apple and cotton candy.
The smell is good, that is, it smells good, but it is so simple ... so linear ... that it is not surprising, the most special thing about it is the shape of the bottle in the shape of a heart, which on the other hand ... It already generates all kinds of opinions, because there are those who love it and those who hate it.
My personal opinion is that this special edition is pure marketing wanting to attract the younger audience, girls and adolescents who like very sweet aromas, caramel and are not demanding, and the heart is extra childish. And surely this same perfume will be the object from time to time a new special edition of another color adding a few other aromas and we already have Candy Love for a while ...
Unisex? not at all, it is such a sweet perfume that it is very feminine. Also if it will be a good perfume from a very young age.
Complicated? no, it is not a complicated perfume, just keep in mind that it is pure sugar with a touch of apple, if you do not like extra sweet perfumes or you are tired of so many sweet perfumes, better look for another perfume.

This does not purport to be a review on a perfume that's not out yet.

Just...the notes don't sound particularly interesting. But the overt tackiness of the bottle is absolutely delicious. Love it.

irisartworks

Generally, I am a big fan of Escada.

To say something positive about Candy Love, at least Escada is trying something different than their standard fruity florals of late.

To be more honest, this note suite sounds pretty awful—more of the sweet gourmand stuff that is cloying and annoyingly common these days.
