For me smells too much of cucumber or something like that, water fruit is a lot. La Belle Paradise Garden from Jean Paul Gaultier smells more like coconut to me, and it doesn't even have coconut as a note. This perfume was kind of disappointing to me somehow, I was hoping for a more creamy sweet coconut scent, this is coconut water from the box...

Igregister

For my nose it’s much better than Virgin Island Water Creed. So gentle so cozy. Not for summer beach only but for every day life. Nice and easy.

sandraaalindgren

If you’re looking for a coconut fragrance THIS IS IT! Absolutely beautiful. Fresh and not heavy. It does have a sunscreen scent to it which I don’t mind at all, I think it makes it cozy. The bottle is cute too!

spiderdaisy

a refreshing scent that smells mostly like coconutwater (on me).
a perfume that i would use if i recived as a gift, i just dont like it enough to buy it myself.

J'aimeunefragrance

Quite pleasant, not worth the price though.
Also, performance leaves a lot to be desired.

FabricatedFashion

Wasn't impressed by this fragrance. I did pay a high price for the bottle. Guerlain has much better fragrances. This one was a bit of a disappointment. It is not as beautiful as the reviews and the hype surrounding it. As other reviewers have said it is underwhelming. After 2 wears, I haven't reached out for it.

perfumequeen234668

I have this fragrance… would anyone like to swap

AUyliong

Reminds me of my girlfriend's Chupa Chups Coconut Crush Body Mist. It has that synthetic artificial coconut sunscreen scent. It's not as sweet as Coconut Crush but based on the description, hype and Guerlain association I was expecting this to smell like photorealistic coconut water (which has a watery, metallic and slightly sour scent) and coconut meat with a hint of coconut husk. It doesn't.

In any case this works if you want that tropical beach vibe. Like I said, it smells like sunscreen and everyone's idea of synthetic coconut. Very unisex in the same way coconut scented sunscreen is unisex.

UPDATE: 2 hrs in, I can confidently say this is linear in development. It became a skin scent an hour ago. There's a weird bug spray scent coming through although that could just be my body chemistry not playing nice with this frag.

UPDATE 2: 3 hrs in she's still hanging in there. I'm still getting faint traces of Tonka Bean. Not much Sandalwood though. I don't think there was much Sandalwood in this scent.

The Wolf

I blind bought this one because I knew it was discontinued and I got an incredible price. I honestly wasn't expecting to like it much because I'd heard some less than great impressions of it. But, I really like it and it scratches that coconut suntan lotion itch. It reminds me Arquiste Sydney Rock Pool but it's a little sweeter and performs better. There's some Tom Ford Soleil Blanc here too.

I was surprised how long it stuck to my skin in the high heat. I got somewhere around 8 hours and my skin eats fragrance. Guerlain is such a great house, and several from the Allegoria line punch well about their price point on the secondary market.

If you can find it reasonably priced, it bests things like Beach Walk, Soleil Blanc EDT, and Sydney Rock Pool, and can hang with higher end stuff like Virgin Island Water, Soleil Blanc EDP, and Malibu Party In The Bay, although this has much more coconut than these on my skin. If you don't like coconut, you won't like this one. Maybe I'm sensitive to coconut, but I find my bottle to be very strong so I've got to be careful with the trigger. I don't go noseblind to this. YMMV.

The13thHour

This is the perfect light coconut and fresh perfume. The dry down on me stays very fresh and clean like straight out of the shower. The downside to it is I don't think it's worth the price and I won't be repurchasing this when I am through it.

nostrilsattached

The most appealing summery coconut-themed fragrance I've encountered. It starts a bit like a coconut sunscreen from the late 2000s (it was Banana Boat or Coppertone) but not as cloying and "beachy" as the typical coconut summer scent. It's far more refreshing and green. The lightly sweet, green melon-like aspect jogged my memory toward something else, but I was unable to remember it. Maybe an aromatic food flavoring from a convenience store frozen treat or pastry circa early 2000s.

The green impression becomes more like a very watery, well-ripened cucumber. It "feels" cool, as in "cold". The coconut remains balanced, creamy, and light. Subtle terpenic, aromatic, herbal nuances when smelled closely.

An uplifting, delightful scent for warmer seasons.

tmonique11

I'm mad that I paid what I paid to get this bottle as its quite underwhelming. Very light wear, no sillage.. which I expected. But the part that has me upset is that its not kicking out coconut the way I hoped. It's more of a watered down cucumber with a touch of coconut. I'll try it out in heat to see what it gives but so far... disappointed.

melleners

I haven't put this on my skin yet, but on paper, it smells very cucumber-y, which is not what I was expecting. I don't get much coconut, just a lot of the mix between the freesia and the bergamot (which I think is what's smelling like cucumber). I'll try this on my body and see if it gets better, but right now, it's just okay.

Update: I don't like this one. And it's the citrus and coconut that smells like pickle/dill/cucumber to me.

Createcolour

At first when I got this fragrance I wasn’t sure, I’m not the biggest fan of coconut but I wanted something refreshing and light and airy for the summer and heard so many good things about this, when I first sprayed this I honed in on the coconut and didn’t know whether it worked on my skin or not, but after a few hours it really opened up and it was just beautiful, addictive even, now it’s one of my go to summer fragrances, it’s not the longest last but for an EDT that’s expected.

flem

A gentle but bright coconut water and bergamot opening. Slightly floral but it's mixed in a way that helps enhance the first two notes and not be terribly dominant. It's airy, brisk, and effervescent.

The coconut note is definitely the watery kind and not creamy. So it's thinner and blends in more with the bergamot than carrying the load. The bergamot has a sharp/tart citrus feel which is what mainly gives the fresh/clean vibe. The more I focus on the citrus, the more I can notice and pick up the floral notes. Which can come across lotion-y as it dries down, but that's not too distracting overall.

In the dry down, the lotion/floral vibe somehow transforms into the smell of beach sand. At least that's how my mind is conjuring up a scene. Like sand on your skin, collected because of your lotion. It's quite nice. The only downside is the scene also comes with a sea-salty-ness which I don't love, but I think it's probably perfect for someone looking for the optimal beach-like fragrance experience.

tricia.mendoza

On the dry down, I sort of get the same sandalwood vibe as Le Labo's Santal 33 on this one....

mlavender02

This is a nice refreshing floral coconut. I will say that I does last longer if you lay it with another fragrance or lotion. I like to layer it with a Nest coconut oil. I get like a 5 hour wear with it which I'm okay with. By it self ill probably get like an almost 3 hour wear till it's a skin scent. Overall this is a nice fragrance. The one thing that sucks is that since this is a discontinued fragrance it was pricey but I'm okay with that since I really wanted it in my collection.

marietangerine

This was a like at first sniff that turned into a major love very quickly. It's even in my Top 5. I really get the "water fruits" note. I am surprised that "aquatic accord" isn't higher up on Fragrantica's list. This is a super refreshing, happy summery fragrance. Lots of coconut water, watermelony accords up top, with a splash of that citrus. The dry down is sweet and a touch creamy, freesia/sandalwood. I don't really get the tonka.

It isn't complicated, but it isn't boring. Smells like a beach holiday (but lighter and fresher than MM Beach Walk or Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus)! Highly recommend you grab it if you can find it. So sad it is discontinued!!!! I grab a backup bottle whenever I see a deal because unfortunately it has weak performance and I have to drown myself in it.

Longevity: C- (2-3hrs)
Projection: C+ (4-6ft for the first hour, closer bubble after that)
Scent DNA: A (simple but loveable)

Night of April

This is not what I was expected... it is so plain and underwhelming... So overrated as well! Smells cheap and coconutty, I have Monoï from Yves Rocher and it lasts longer and smells better!

mben086

Best freshie hands down. I hope they come out with a forte version of this. I have 4 backup bottles and will savor them

This is super strong for a freshie! Got tonnes of compliments at an outdoor wedding wearing this, lasted for ages too!

Trishalalalala

Smells divine, longevity weak.

This could easily be my favourite of all perfumes for summer days, if the longevity wasn’t that weak. The smell is divine; more of coconut water and green. Addictive for sure.

Madame Marie

I bought this fragrance because of the notes, as I wanted a fresh scent with a splash of coconut water. Sadly, on my skin, no coconut comes through and it's jusy very green smelling. Not terrible, but too similar to herbs for my taste. I sold it and then almost by accident came across a sample of the Mickey Mouse fragrance by House of Sillage and am surprised at how similar they smell! But Mickey gets along better with my skin chemistry and the fresh scent is very pleasing. So if you're a Coconut Fizz fanatic and have had trouble finding it, I'd encourage you to try the HOS Mickey perfume when it goes on sale. You'll love it.

amanda0727

It's nice but totally not what i was expecting. Was expecting a light, fresh coconut water type vibe based on the notes. But this smells more like BBW Cucumber Melon and the scent is quite sweet and heavy. I dont get any coconut at all. I still like it!

solarpunk

quite a realistic coconut, like a freshly cracked open coconut plus sandalwood. creamy yet still fresh, very light and airy and wearable. like a more sophisticated version of coconut body sprays a la b&bw or hawaiian tropic. longevity is actually not bad despite some reviews, it lasted longer than bronze goddess nuit on my other wrist.

LEM922

It's so funny, because one day I was just randomly thinking about this perfume. I've been so curious about it ever since I've seen it, but as soon as I went to go purchase I saw it was discontinued, and then it was nowhere to be found. One day, it just popped in my mind. So I went on eBay and searched. And lo and behold, I found a bottle for an absolute STEAL. And I am so elated with my purchase. This fragrance is absolutely beautiful. I could understand why some people wouldn't like it, and I can already tell just from application that the performance isn't going to be out of this world for this, it's definitely a much lighter fragrance that stays close to the skin, but the way the smells. It is so lovely. It smells like a bougie tropical vacation and I love those types of scents. The coconut is lovely, there's an aquatic quality to it but not marine at all, and its so light and airy. This is perfect for a casual summer day, it smells expensive but not overbearing. I'm going to try so hard not to eat this bottle up this summer, just because it is so hard to find and resellers are really charging top dollar for this. I'm lucky that I found it for the price that I did but now that I have it I never want to let it go! Gorgeous fragrance.

Jasmine Joy

I love this fragrance! Smells like an expensive tropical sunscreen which I totally enjoy! The scent immediately transports me to the beach or a tropical vacation like Hawaii. Seems to last long on my skin and clothes as well. I am going to spritz this on during the winter season for an instant mood lifter and definitely during the spring and summer. Love, love, love this tropical scented perfume!

Oriental_Dream

Perfect for a hot summers day, smells like the most luxurious light and airy coconut 🥥 water body-spray but it has the WORST longevity I’ve ever experienced with a perfume and I’ve been wearing perfume for 25 years.

UPDATE: I acquired a bottle for a great price.

Shikin27

Don't usually enjoy coconuts in perfumes but this one is exceptional. I used this til the very last drop. It's a beautiful fragrance.

aboutjujulia

Fig?

Mackinacfleurs

Well I also fell for the hype and bought an over priced decant. There is nothing "wow" about it...It does smell nice but nothing outstanding or out of the ordinary. As a matter of fact, as soon as I sprayed it it was underwhelming; like I have smelled this before..maybe a shampoo I own? I don't know. Do yourself a favor and don't fall for the hype, there is nothing worth U$ 400.00 a bottle in this one. Mandarine Basilic is a much better designed perfume and Limon Verde is just pure joy in a bottle. This coconut fizz...meh!

Dramaloladiva

Meh…I fell for the hype given that it is now discontinued but really, there’s nothing much to it…it’s just a watered down version of all the summer perfumes we all know and love: Bronze Goddess, Vanilla Vibes, Soleil Blanc and blah blah blah…
I’ll be darned if I don’t learn my lesson and stop blind buying 🙄 I am quite annoyed with myself right about now…

aldinatic

Please Guerlain, bring this one back, this perfume is a masterpiece ! I could bath in it ..its so beautiful.

Liljekonvall

I was lucky and got my hands on this one secondhand. So beautiful but bad staying Power ..Spray it in the hair and hopefully it stays a bit longer🥰

Mikki.Lee95

I love the scent, it is a very classy and sophisticated way to wear coconut. Imagine fresh coconut water rather than sweet-scented sun lotion. BUT, as much as I love this fragrance I NEVER reach for it. After 30 minutes the perfume is totally gone without a trace, even if I spray it on my clothes too. I have had bath & body works body sprays with more longevity and projection. Is this an eau fraiche scent? Im not sure, but it may as well be. Such a shame, but the poor performance makes this very overpriced even though I enjoy it.

hyyddu

To me, it smells like coconut white flesh, which is my favorite smell. I heard this is discontinued, but it's a perfume that's too bad to discontinue.

MimesOtto

The perfect summer scent, airy coconut water, fresh and delicious! It is short lived as many others in this line, I wish Guerlain would do something about the performance!

squishfish

I sourced myself a brand new 75ml bottle and I couldn’t be happier. It’s the perfect clean, light coconut fragrance which is no fuss and an elegant easy wear. It’s simple and clean, a beautiful light watery coconut with a beautiful freesia note.

This has a similar vibe to Teo Cabanel - Peau Salee. There is a key difference, Peau Salee has a prominent salt note which is not present in coconut fizz. It could be a good alternative if you can’t source Coconut Fizz.

Mimi831

I finally got my hands on a bottle without paying an astronomical price point. This was a complete blind buy and I’m positive I wouldn’t have purchased if I smelled it first. This is a very light, fresh, watery take on coconut. The downside is that it ends up smelling more like cucumber melon on my skin. I will probably layer with other fragrances to achieve something more pleasant to smell.

Performance is not the greatest but I knew that before purchasing.

LauraVTerrazas

Update: decided to part ways with it. Up for grabs on my Mercari.

I blind bought this and it's very nice. Refreshing! I might end up decanting a bit and sell the rest. Still on the fence. Definitely shouldn't have been discontinued.

yeesa_

Initial thoughts: a light sweet yet refreshing coconut. Not synthetic or sunscreen smelling. I really like it so far. Lasts about 4+ hours on me sillage isn't too crazy but it is a lighter scent

SilkyWoods

Finally managed to get one and I’m so glad I did. It’s beautiful! Happiness in a bottle. Why on earth did they discontinue this???

Sleepyteacher

I’m so glad I got a bottle before they discontinued it. It’s such a gorgeous scent but why did it get discontinued ? Bad sales ? I would buy another bottle if I could find it.

Rainstorm

@Srh2559 how did you manage to even pay through the nose for this on eBay, as I have notifications for when it becomes available on eBay and it still hasn’t. That’s odd. Anyway, they should make this available again, as so many people seem to want it and there’s clearly a gap on the market for a fresh natural smelling coconut. I do wonder whether perfume houses have marketing teams that read fragrantica to see what the public like, dislike want and need and then act accordingly?

srh2559

Perfect daytime summer / holiday fragrance. Paid through the nose for this on eBay and worth every penny! Immediately makes me smile. It smells like the most delicious juicy, fresh young coconut with a twist of lemon / lime. Brings me back to Bali...

Mizmalibu

Coconut and freesia. Not my favorite Aqua Allegoria but I like it a lot to keep fresh on warm summer days on the beach.

lilykings

A really lovely take on coconut I haven’t seen in fragrance before. Less synthetic, more like fresh coconut cream with a grating of lemongrass on top. Devastated I waited a couple of weeks to long to try this one and now won’t be able to buy a bottle.

Missmaassen

If anyone has a bottle for sale in the EU, can you please contact me? So sad this has been discontinued along with ginger piccante. Luckily, I was able to get a bottle of ginger piccante, but I can't seem to find coconut fizz anywhere :( x

Rainstorm

Has anyone got a bottle for sale please or can someone kindly recommend a dupe or good alternative. Thankyou

anastasia.privalova

It's the fragrant polaroid shot of a tropical resort: watermelon slices, coconut milk cocktails, and a suntan lotion. Coconut Fizz starts with creamy flowers and piercing greenery, which does not invigorate, but creates a sleepy couch potato mood. On the skin, the fragrance smells of salty figs and coconut slices, and in the cool, damp May air, it smells of cucumber lemonade and a bouquet of freesias. Such a summer and sunny perfume.

Perfume Beginners

I love this unique coconut scent so much. So sad to hear that it is discontinued. If anyone has an unwanted bottle please feel free to message me.

EloLeoLeah

I am truly obessed with this summer intoxication. The coconut and freesia makes a summer sunlotion smell which is so addictive! If anyone doesn't want this fragrance anymore I'm happy to purchase this for every single summer!

irlfireprincess

This is a very light fragrance. Which I guess makes sense given that’s what the Aqua Allegoria are supposed to be but this is too light for me. I sprayed 4 sprays and had to press my nose to my wrist to smell it. Also I don’t know if this is a weird personal body chemistry thing my body does or it’s a problem with certain coconut fragrances but this smells like sea salt and soap with a hint of bergamot to me. Not necessarily ✨coconut✨ you know? Reminds me a lot of Coconut Palm from Mix Bar at Target, which I didn’t purchase because of the similar sea salt + soap vibe and longevity issues. I can’t say I would really recommend this - if this fragrance sounds good to you I might advise you to try Coconut Palm instead. But I may be the only one who has this experience with this and Coconut Palm, as I’ve not seen reviews similar to mine thus far.

Tropicat28

There is a weird green herbal note that ruins this fragrance for me :(

kigyo

Looking for the perfect happy, airy, beach vibe coconut summer scent? Look no further, this is it. Perfect.

MakeupNeverSleeps

When this first came out, I was put off by the water fruit note. For whatever reason, I'm not bothered by it anymore and find this to be happily reminiscent of BBW Coconut Lime Verbena or even something like Paul Mitchell Awapuhi shampoo. Compared to a lot of other coconut-dominant scents on the market, I think this relatively sophisticated/refined.

YLC629

I was hoping to love this as I love coconut and watery perfumes but this one was just meh. I got no coconut from it at all. I just faintly smell the bergamot and freesia.

AnlisaC

This Aqua Allegoria is a watery coconut! It is extreme watery, and I’m not quite sure I like it yet. It’s definitely a summer scent, not even spring just summer! I just don’t get the hype of this. I will keep it in my collection because I see it’s sold out on Guerlain’s website and somewhere I heard that it is being discontinued. Again unfortunately and hopefully not true for the lovers of this. Ok setting the scene for it….. I feel this is the perfect summer scent sitting by the hotel pool sipping a pina colada with a beautiful bathing suit cover in Miami! This isn’t a sunscreen scent thank God for that, kinda of sick of those. It does dry down to a close to skin scent. I am kinda of liking this and perfect for the humidity here in NY. Recommended 7/10

laurakaye

The words "coconut" and "fizz" together made me want to try this, but it's not quite what I expected. The scent is actually far more of a real coconut flesh scent with a little lime mixed in at the beginning but with little to no "fizz" component, which wouldn't be bad at all except that it only lasts a very short while. I expected more from a Guerlain scent. And once it dries down - which happens quickly - I am getting almost all sandalwood and no coconut. The fact that I gave my arms three sprays and two hours later I can barely smell anything at all is a disappointment.

If this lasted longer, it would be a great summer scent when you don't want to smell too sweet, as the coconut note itself is pretty and interesting. Just no longevity.

harperpeshhe

I enjoy coconut fragrances and Guerlain Coconut Fizz really hits the spot. I don't get any citrus, thankfully, just a delectable creamy fleshy coconut. This reminds me very much of a lighter watery version of Versace Crystal Noir EDT, which is a compliment!

cacemonster

This is extremely short lived. It is quite strong when initial spraying, and its very coconutty, not too sweet, more aquatic, but a lottle sweet note making it one of the better coconut fragrances i have tried. It is somewhat artificial, as I kinda experience in every perfume or soap or whatever trying to smell coconut. Well the smell gets weaker and weaker very fast! Dont expect to smell of coconut for hours, as it is completely gone after 2 hours, I can no longer smell it even when pressing my nose to my arm. So my advice is: Try before buy, this is so over priced as it is weaker than a body spray, not anything soecial at all. However, I cant recommend any other coconut perfumes either so if you like it, and like weak smells and can reapply every hour, go ahead :)

strawwbebby

Reminds me of the scent of one of the Benefit Blushes. Super lovely. A coconutty smell that's smelling natural rather than artificial, not too sweet, more aquatic instead of creamy, really fresh. Amazing for summer.

Gummybear002

Dirty coconut on the floor of a hotel. Nasty stuff, smells like a sour drink. Giving this away and shouldn't have bothered buying blindly. Learn from me.

faevert42

I like this layered with Xerjoff Lira. On its own, it feels a bit plasticky and incomplete, always a problem with coconut frags.

LMBelvi

I used up a sample of this in a day. Part of this is sad—the stuff is not long lasting. But dang, it’s good. I have sought coconut scents a few times and usually find them too cloying or screechy like chemicals. I always want to like them but don’t. This one is natural smelling and subtle. Very unisex. It’s beachy but a classy beach, not a wild party with shots. I think I’ll need a decant though maybe not FB. Incidentally the sandalwood doesn’t seem to be a feature of this at all.

coffeefifofum

Fresh, clean coconut and lime, but I felt like I had to significantly overspray just to get it to radiating within arms length. It faded quickly. A good scent but not a strong or long lasting one.

PeridotVanilla1

This a green , floral coconut scent . It is refreshing and so floral! This is definitely more aquatic as well. It would be perfect to wear on a lunch date in the summer by the water wearing a cute dress.

Compositeur

On me it turns to cucumber. I like cucumber, but not like this!
Performance is abysmal.

Liz-frag

The smell of coconut fizz is amazing, a fresh, fleshy, incredibly juicy coconut. Nothing artificially sweet not cloying. Just pure coconut water from mother nature.
On my skin unfortunately, it turned out to smell like Fennel. It’s so unfortunate because I haven’t seen a description as such before, and I think this result was from my skin+ the green aspect+ ozonic aspect. Now I want to change my DNA ! It feels like I am never going to find the perfect coconut…

Mariamaija Amélie

Coconut Fizz is one of the most unique, delicious, pleasing and classy zesty-flowery-coconut scents I have ever smelled. Fresh and sophisticated; there is nothing cloying, sticky or gourmandish about it, which I really appreciate, because I have plenty of lovely perfumes in that category already (too many). It is a bit stronger/more potent then I expected from reading and watching reviews, but it isn't dense or heavy in any way, so Spring and Summer are the months where I suspect this one will shine and perform its very best.
I have a 125 ml bottle, and I will definately try layering this perfume with some of my sweeter and more cloying coconut and woody scents

8 hours+ later, and I still smell it on me. It is soft and beautiful, but it is noticeably still there. My skin usually eats up perfumes, so this one has taken me by wonderful surprise. It is Winter in Denmark now, so this will also be GREAT when Spring arrives :D

latideauq

It’s a spot on dupe for Philosykos. The green notes and the coconut…wow! Very fresh. It doesn’t last long and the silage is not that great. But a nice scent nonetheless

ceeceelee

I bought a decant bc I wanted to have a summer scent to replace my Guerlain Terracotta, but this one isn't it. My nose is super sensitive to Iso E Super, makes me sneeze if it's light or headache and sneeze if there's a lot. It's that woody cleaner smell they use in Europe to clean offices or Hotels so that guests don't have to smell bleach. It's also a great longevity booster in fragrances and can be used when there is a woody note bc it blends. Unless your allergic or sensitive to it. So, the search continues. I may just have to buckle and hunt down Terracotta.

Olfa

The longevity is no joke. Love it.
This scent is cold, fresh and smooth. It’s not green fresh, it’s a cold fresh and I don’t know how to describe it. Like they put an ice cube in this perfume to make it less warm.
It’s natural smelling, clean, subtle and pleasing. The sandalwood in this is good quality! Also coconut is not green coconut as many people say but the meaty white inside of a coconut. You just washed that part of the coconut and you hear this fatty smell out of it. Very good with sandalwood ofc. Then freesia is there to give this fresh, after rain summer day vibe which is clean and again refreshing.

Water fruit part; no sweetness or juiciness so, i guess thats the ice cube part i feel.

Spela123

This is such a nice everyday summer fragrance. It really is a fresher, not as sickly sweet and as creamy as you usually smell in a sunscreen type-of a coconut scent.
Definitely a must have for summer!

mutatismutandis

Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz lasts about eight and a half hours. It projects moderately for about two hours and then becomes a skin scent. It's very much a summer perfume. It's unisex but inclines much more towards the feminine side of unisex than the masculine side.

The opening is coconut and freesia. It's a fresher, more natural coconut rather than a coconut that leans towards sun cream. I don't get any bergamot in the opening and I don't get any sense of fizz at any point either. 20 minutes in, something a bit cucumbery appears in the background - that'll be the "water fruit" note you see in the pyramid here. It does feel that there's something in here giving me a very slight headache but I couldn't tell you what. 90 minutes in it's essentially the same but I wonder if I can smell the tiniest hint of tonka bean. The perfume stays exactly like this until just after the two hour mark when it begins to fade slowly. In the last two or three hours there's a little whiff of a dry, dusty sandalwood in the background as well but it's coconut from start to finish.

Adjames

This is beautiful and refreshing with great sillage. I tried a sample and now own a FB. This smelled better than Terracotta on my skin. How would I describe the scent? It smells like a beachy aquatic floral with coconut - the bergamot creates the fizzy opening and the coconut, the creaminess with the tonka and sandllewood.

Some coconut scents are too heavy in summer and the coconut too pronounced, but this one is just the right balance.

This immediately reminded me of a combination I have worn before but better. I wore Vanilla Vibes layered with Hibiscus Palm in the past, and boom, this is that combination but more smooth.

RavensRedd

I was so disappointed with this fragrance. I knew better than to expect a strong coconut smell and that it was fresher, more watery type coconut. That sounded great to me. But when I got it, it was so different than what I expected. It has a super faint, almost nonexistent coconut smell and instead smells much more like a watered down version of B&BW Cucumber melon body spray, as others have suggested. This does last a decent amount of time but for the price, I think I’ll stick with the body spray. 3/10

This smells like a freshly cracked open Coconut Lacroix drink. Then it morphs into a most sophisticated summer scent. Stays close to the skin but has longevity. I have a hundred expensive summer scents I never touch…prefer this every day!

Alexandra.kom

this is a lovely summer day scent. Its fresh and clean!
When i first sprayed on me i couldnt smen anything!! after 10' the smell became intense and the first thing i smelled is cold coconut water! very fresh and clean like the felling you have when you're under the shower.

in my skin it lasted around 3h and the smell was not strong to radiate.
Its lovely for everyday , sits wwll and close to the clean skin smell !

kaxtingitup95

The most refreshing coconut scent on the market, in my opinion. Straight coconut water, water fruits and freesia. Longevity is also pretty nice especially on clothes. Sillage is greatest on hot days. 8/10

pamplemousse2

Upon first applying, it's like a sweet, planty, aquatic summery scent. Very fresh and a cute, subtle amount of coconut, that like others have said, doesn't smell like a rich sunscreen scent. There's also a light projection I can smell a bit stronger within about 5" of my skin. It's like a watery green slightly coconutty sparkling water, like La Croix or something, where it's cool and refreshing and bubbly, but mostly watery and a hint of flavor. I'm also not sure how they were able to make it seem so effervescent, but they did. I didn't think it would actually be "fizzy".

5 minutes later and I feel like it's already a bit lighter and bergamot comes out more. This is a very light and classy coconut summer scent that's fresh and clean and citrusy, but maybe a bit too light for me. It's definitely "cool" feeling as well and the coconut is like an unsweetened, natural coconut.

15 minutes later and it's been linear on me. It's lost the "fizziness" I mentioned earlier, but now makes me think of coconut water with the absolute slightest touch of sweet added. And emphasis on the 'water' part of coconut water. Projection is about 3" from the skin, too.

Around the 25 minute mark for me, it starts to become very salty and I get almost a cucumber melon. There is said to be watermelon as a middle note in here (not listed on Fragrantica I guess) and I wonder if the freshness from the freesia and the watermelon together make it seem like cucumber melon.

40 minutes later and it still maintains its wateriness, but you get a pleasant light woodiness with sandalwood and tonka added to it. This adds some warmth to it that makes me think of the sun starting to go down on a nice sunny summer day. It's at the same time still fresh and clean and overall cool, though. There is very light projection within about 1" from my skin.

1 hour later and it hasn't changed much. It's sitting very close to the skin on my arms, but I do smell it projecting more from where I applied it on my chest, which is warmer on me. I'll see how long this lasts, but overall it's a nice fresh summery scent I could see working well in high heat, but doesn't seem to have super long longevity.

2 hours later and it's a very light skin scent, but still some traces of scent left behind directly on the skin.

4 hours later and it's basically gone. It started getting very hard to smell around the 3 hour mark, though.

I have a hard time finding coconut-forward fragrances that don't smell like sunscreen/sun tan lotion. My search has come to an end (unless I find something that can top this!!).

This is coconut water - sweet, refreshing, and bright. And so watery! I feel like I'm going down a water slide of coconut water. Such a perfect summer scent, especially in super hot and humid climates. The opening reminded me of watermelon candy and I actually find Coconut Fizz more reminiscent of watermelon than Flora Cherrysia. As the base notes start to show themselves, there is a little bit of a plasticky vibe however I don't find this to be a big issue. It could also be interpreted as soapiness, but if it is, it is not heady or powdery. Also - rather milky.

Nraveles

This is like the perfect mixture of creamy coconut from dolce garden without the plastic-y vibe and the sweet coconut of rocker femme fantasy by Britney.

RainbowGirl

This is my first Aqua Allegoria perfume, but it will not be my last. Good Golly, this smells good.. worth every full price penny I spent on it.

This smells like cracking open a fresh coconut on the beach, but you smell the whole coconut. The fresh coconut water, the milky coconut flesh, and the warm woody shell. Fresh, warm, and beautiful. Perfect for summer.

In the drydown, I get a hint of sweetness, and a tiny hint of soapy freesia, but mostly this is a fresh and woody coconut.

If you are looking for a sweet tropical smell, this is not it. This is coconut without the sweet pineapple, booze, and suntan oil. I am not a fan of tropical beaches, or tropical smells, so to me this fragrance is perfect. I am in fragrance bliss.

I have not quite figured out why it's called Coconut Fizz yet. I don't really smell anything fizzy, but maybe I need to wear it a few times, or maybe it's just a fun name? Fizz is fun!

This is a fantastic EDT. Performs better than some of my EDP fragrances.

Oh, and the color! Pretty clear light blue liquid, like a tropical ocean. 💙

I'm getting the honey one next.

SniffyLarue

This smells like the old Versace Crystal Noir before they reformulated with that awful synthetic note. I don’t love the price, but I love this scent so much I’m going to save up. This is going to be my summer scent. This is definitely a coconut scent. Smells like a hot summer night in South Beach. Sexy, rich, divine. Love it!

Swedelish

Fun, fresh and tropical. Very watery coconut, almost salty aquatic with sheer white florals and citrus to keep it bright. I've been longing for a coconut dominant fragrance and I have a soft spot for this line, so Coconut Fizz it was.

My first thought was "this smells very early 2000's high school." I definitely smelled something similar at the malls, on a friend, on myself, etc. It's uncanny, just wish I could remember what it was.

I like it, but it's a little too fresh and watery for my style. I like my summer tropicals to smell like creamy coconut, lush florals and hot skin rolling in sand. I am still on the search for my ultimate beachy coconut scent.

Edit: Okay when I read reviews that mentioned cucumber and others watermelon I totally knew what they meant. Later it hit me what this smells like... Cucumber Melon by Bath & Body Works! How this pyramid translates to cucumber and melon I do not know, but it really does!

EDIT again: I've come to really dislike this one. I'm sorry to say it smells like cheap, synthetic perfume. It has no body and falls flat, like a body spray that should cost a fraction of the price. Lys Soleia was their best Aqua Allegoria for summertime. It was proper perfume that unfolded beautifully and smelled refined. Coconut Fizz doesn't hold a candle, sorry.

Tima91

Out of the four Aqua Allegoria fragrances I've tried I like this one the best. It really is like coconut water. I don't know about it having a fizz or zest to it, just the water. Its a decent fresh tropical scent. No projection though, so its safe to over spray. I got it from a decent independent repackaging site along with the other three; don't know if that had anything to do with it. With covid and not being close to a fragrance store with real options, it is what it is.

joyceisblasian

Was very disappointed in this one especially all the reviews as this being a great tropical fragrance. It just didn't wow me. I'm glad I only had a sample.

Givepeasachance

This is the most beautiful coconut scent in my opinion. Not sickly sweet, synthetic or reminiscent of sun lotion, just a wonderful essence of real coconut backed up by beautiful floral watery notes. For me it is heaven in a bottle. At first I didn’t think it was strong or long lasting at all but one day after I had been wearing a different scent that I couldn’t really smell on myself, I sprayed this a few times and could smell it for ages after, so maybe it is stronger than I first perceived. I don’t care though, I blind bought this despite the price tag, as I just knew it would be something I would love. Perfect lockdown pick me up! The pale blue liquid and elegant beehive bottle just add to the attraction for me. I have a couple of the Aqua Allegoria range, and this is hands down my favourite, it’s become one of my favourite fragrances full stop. It makes me think of beaches, warm exotic breezes and sunshine.

Frangipanilove

I am a big fan of Guerlain and Aqua Allegorias but this one is a bit meh. Its a somewhat generic scent with no development - the older Aqua Allegorias were still proper fragrances with layers but this one, apart from the inital bergamot toning down, sadly, does not change much from the initial spray. This leaves behind kind of a generic coconut white musk type of scent. Its not bad, its just a bit dull and one dimensional. I am waiting for proper perfumery to come back, not these flat linear scents that have been in fashion for the past 10-15 years. There is a place for these, of course, but c’mon, a bit more work please, make it a bit more interesting. EDIT the final dry down leaves a sharp note over the sweet coconut that is persistent and irritating after a while. It may well be a dislike instead of a meh.

I came on here just to write this review. I had to stop my work and write this review so it MUST mean something. I purchased Coconut Fizz yesterday. When I smelled it in the store it smelled tropical, beachy, romantic and very coconuty I was in love. I came home and it didn't smell the same on me. I was contemplating returning it because the opening notes reminded me of my TF Mandarino Di Amalfi (less citrus). However, once it dried down it was a beautiful, light sea salt and coconut. But what blew me away was the fact that I sprayed it 19 hours ago and I still smell like a summer goddess. Needless to say, I'm utterly in love.

cresol

Fig and coconut. Effervescent.

Aveline

Coconut Fizz reminds me a lot of the popular scents during my earlier years, circa Y2K, many of which seemed to veer on watermelon. It is more of a cool and fresh coconut rather than a warm, vanilla one, which I think would be quite refreshing on warm summer days. Quite light, though could still be headache triggering. There is a sense that there is more than just coconut here, with something citrusy and tropical looming in the background, but never distracting from the scent. It is fun but still low key. My biggest complaint would have to be that it smells rather inexpensive for Guerlain, more like a body spray one would pick up at the mall. It is somewhat artificial, though not conspicuously so.

Zethre

Soft clear fresh coconut, more coconut water than cream, a bit like Bronze Goddess but not as sweet or fruity or rich, more light and fresh. Very nice water notes, not masculine or salty as water notes often are, just light and refreshing.
Edited to say, whilst the watery notes are beautiful, they ended up giving me a headache just like watery notes always do

mhobol

I realise a lot of people are looking for their ultimate coconut beach scent. I probably do that too, but I have an advantage still being a perfume newbie - my perfume world is still small. I understand that there is a great unexplored territory out there, but summer is close and I'm lucky this that this one has a great longevity on my skin. It is linear, but I want my summer frag to be linear. It is a fruity, light and refreshing coconut, and I've already received compliments for it. A very nice scent, I think, and it gets a strong like from me.

EDIT: I love this. It is so bouncy, fruity and bright, the citrus comes out salty, and it makes me happy. Longevity is great on me. Bought it on the grey market for 50 $ +. Yey!

ingeneuxo

-Refreshingly light, coconut scent.
-Linear scent to my nose.
-Great for summer.
-Projection: Low. Projects ok for the first hour, then turns into a skin scent.
-Longevity: 4 hours as a skin scent; lasts all day on clothing.
-Absolutely Fbw. (+)

perfumesniffer

Starts off a beautifully natural coconut, very realistic, like Heeley Cocobella and Creed Virgin Island Water. This is the nice phase which lasts for about 10 minutes. I was thinking I’d finally found the “natural tropical coconut” scent I keep looking for. But then it morphs into salty watermelon. Like photorealistic salted watermelon. Not what I was hoping for.

Weby007

I love coconut fragrances, and this one is very coconutty. That’s all it smells of though, would prefer if it had something along with the coconut. Does not last long either. Wouldn’t buy a full bottle.

frusia

One of the things I absolutely love and admire in every Aqua Allegoria I've had the joy of wearing, is how realistic they smell without losing perfumey elegance. The coconut in Coconut Fizz is for real, but it doesn't make me feel like "do I want to smell like an actual tin of coconut cream?" 😁

I normally don't look for coconut fragrances, because I find them too sweet or too gourmand, I don't know, just not something I would normally buy. But Coconut Fizz is different. It's warm and comforting, but it's also clean and fresh, there's a lightness to it and it is not sweet. I loved it a lot at first try, it instantly got a place among my most favourite scents - right next to all the greens, citrus and other unsweetened beauties.

So I would say, if you normally love coconut perfumes, don't blind buy it, because you may be in for a surprise. And if you never liked coconut scents, you may want to give Coconut Fizz a chance, because... you may be in for a surprise 😄

AnaisLouLou

Floral coconut scent that borders on coconut cream, but there is a coconut water base with the watery note. After an hour, it dries down to a watery coconut note with a touch of freesia. This fragrance projects a lot. The silage is pretty wide on one spray. It uses the same synthetic musk? that causes me a headache, same as Coco Chanel EDT and Guerlain L'Instant EDT.

I think this isn't as rough as Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue Sun and as likeable as, Replica Beach Walk. Replica Beach Walk has more personality. I'm not a huge fan of coconut scents but, this one has been executed fairly well.

AyseTumlu

I got this as a gift. Since I love tropical summer scents, like Guerlain Terracotta, I thought I would love this. To be honest, I get a bold cucumber scent from this that I find really overwhelming. Other than that, the creamy&fresh scent makes me want to use it. I won't be buying this again, but if you are looking for a fresh, beachy scent, give it a try

EmRose24

I really enjoy this fragrance. It's summery, creamy and tropical. It's slightly salty when it dries down - similar to JHAG Vanilla Vibes but much better in my opinion. The two don't really compare, but I can detect something similar in the dry-down. I don't like Vanilla Vibes, as it smells too plastic/artificial and messy to me. It's just not pleasant, but Coconut Fizz was a pleasant surprise. It's coconut-y but not suntan lotion-y - which is hard to find. I will sample a couple more times to decide whether it's worth buying a bottle - longevity is pretty good but it is more of a skin scent after a couple hours.

Kronstadt

I could sum up this review in one sentence. Quite simply, the best hot day, summer fragrance for women on the market. It’s that simple. An exceptional summer fragrance. The initial spray delivers the most amazing coconut scent I’ve ever encountered in a fragrance, with a fresh citrus edge from the bergamot. It then settles on a tropical, almost cocktail dry down with just enough wood and tonka bean sweetness to bring a smile to your face each and every time you move. A brilliant example of what it is. It doesn’t project beyond your space, but on a 45 degree day in central Australia. That’s what you want. Just an amazing fragrance.

I had to write a review on this fragrance because I just love it so much and I totally agree with the reviewer below that said this smells very similar to Virgin island water. They are not clones by any means but they are the same type of fragrance. Almost a translucent breezy tropical fragrance. To the people that say they smell watery fruity notes the fruity note that you're actually smelling is watermelon this is a watermelon bomb and that's why I love it so much. The guerlain website actually lists watermelon as a note. I am also shocked by the people that are saying that this does not last on their skin and does not project.I have very dry skin and I sprayed one squirt and I could smell it radiating on me all day and it was on my clothes the following day very clearly. This is not a shredded coconut or not necessarily a suntan lotion scent it's more of a coconut water mixed with watermelon and it's done very well.I feel that this fragrance definitely leans more feminine than unisex or masculine. There is a very prominent freesia note in this that is extremely feminine. I would have preferred they used a different flower than freesia. I would have liked a more tropical flower like ylang ylang ,gardenia or plumeria but this fragrance all blends together beautifully. There is a nice woodsy dry down and I believe it's very sandalwoody and the tonka bean is very present and adds a creamy aspect to the fragrance. This is a very well done beachy Summer fragrance and if you don't want to pay full price for Virgin island water this is definitely a fragrance to consider but guys keep in mind this does lean feminine in my opinion. If you are searching for a watermelon fragrance look no further this is loaded with fresh juicy watermelon and much better then L'Imperatrice which in my opinion is very synthetic. I was very happy to add this to my summer collection!

Veedabestchef

Wow. This is an amazing scent. Coconut bomb. This is summer in a bottle. Fun fizzy, joyful, Pensacola summer vacation scent. I fell in love in this fragrance as soon as i spritz this on my skin. Light and youthful scent. Compare this to creed virgin island water. This one is playful fun scent while the creed virgin island water is fun but with a twist of adult fun tequila drinking lol. What amazing is the price. This is a full bottle worthy. Thanks guerlain

MiuMiuKitten

To me, this smells like a more expensive version of Harajuku Lovers G which I used to own. They have a very similar vibe, probably because both share coconut as the main note, accompanied by freesia and sandalwood. Water fruit is listed as a dominant note (whatever they actually mean by water fruit) it does seem to be the perfect description for a juicy but non-descript fruit, one that cleanses the palate rather than cloys with too much sweetness. An aquatic fruit, if there was such a thing - maybe some sort of melon?

This is fresh, sweet and fun and I'll keep enjoying my sample. But although I do love coconut in a fragrance, I don't find it quite special enough to purchase a full bottle. If you are on a hunt for a coconut-centric scent I would highly recommend you trying this one.

landshark321

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz is new acquisition / community blind buy, a 2019 release in the vast Aqua Allegoria line with a fresh floral coconut milk vibe, lightly pleasant and, as the name implies, slightly effervescent, kind of like a crossover between fresh coconut soda and a fresh floral (probably women’s) summer scent. In particular, the freesia stands out as the only actual floral note listed, with some added freshness from bergamot and a sweet dry down of sandalwood and tonka, and tonka especially pairs well with coconut. It’s fresh and easily enjoyable, slightly feminine but overall so pleasantly unisex as to defy convention a bit.

It’s a decent performer and there are deals to be found, I’m sure; I was lucky to buy my own bottle for a reasonable price. The retail pricing is $130 for 125ml, $95 for 75ml via department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, etc. so it’s pricey if considered more of a designer / entry level fragrance but more reasonable within the context of a perfume house with niche / higher-end offerings.

Everyone knows the Guerlain AA's are light in the sillage department. Be prepared to reapply. Rediscover the pleasure of reapplying a fragrance, especially in the summer.

This is coconut, but without the usual bits of tiare. I get coconut water, and the green coconut flesh which surrounds a fresh coconut. I smell water - clean, fresh water, not saline water at all. The bergamot shows up a little later. This is juicy and realistic coconut, and definitely unisex.

Exenidi

This is a masterpiece of summer fragrance. I was on a long prawl for a coconut scent This summer. After reading some mixed reviews below I scrapped the idea of its purchase thinking it might really be a non noticeable watered down coconut. How wrong I was! Guys do not base your decisions on other members’ reviews only ! Go and venture with a sample/vial or just pop into a local store! In stead I have piled up on a loads of irrelevant Coconut scents For me like Laura Mercier Almond Coconut, Clean Coconut Water, some body lotion scents etc - overall spent more on the staff that won’t be ever used by me (blind buys based on reviews). After testing Guerlain Coconut Fizz in Harrods I was immediately smitten - it’s a transparent bright coconut scent , very alluring, that brings out water (yes water notes ) without Heavy mix of an oily monoi or any other grease from fruity substances. That’s what a coconut Cool Water would be if Davidoff ever created a summer flanker, with a sofiatication of Guerlain - so pretty and suitable for any time of the day during summer. This is absolutely unisex, and lasts about 3 hours on a skin. But hey, if you buy 75ml for summer you are at liberty to reapply as much as you like - bathe in it every day of your hot vacation. Great purchase for me, happy I still tried it and purchased a FB of what I really loved from 1st sniff and didn’t have to adjust or put myself to peace with the fragrance. Worthy every pence👍👍Once again Guerlain proved to me to be a house for all moods and places!

Bubbles1964

I own five Aqua Allegorias from Guerlain, and Coconut Fizz has the longest performance of any others in my closet. If I can get three hours or more—albeit with light projection—than I consider that a big success.

Granted, I have never paid retail, and I can understand some disappointment in that regard, but on the grey market the Aqua Allegorias can be had for a steal. These really behave much like a deluxe body spray, and all are perfect when I know later I will be switching to a different perfume. Now that I got that out of the way, what about Coconut Fizz.

True to its name, coconut is the most dominant note. Maybe Freesia is there, but it’s playing a back up role. I don’t get any watermelon as other reviewers have noted. Base notes of sandalwood and ??? —I can’t identify, but I don’t think that’s too important.

I do like it but I also find this one a little one dimensional, lacking depth and complexity (not that every perfume needs it, but here it’s really just a coconut fragrance). I also need to state that this has a bit of a synthetic feel to me, like a pumped up cocktail with an umbrella, it doesn’t smell 100% natural.

If I was on a tropical vacation I can imagine bringing this one along, but we are living through a pandemic and flying on an airplane is not happening anytime soon.

Once I get through my 5 ml decant I will be looking for a grey market deal, and would consider the smallest bottle when I find it. If you are into layering, this one would be fun to play with (but buy a decant first). My favorite from this line continues to be Lys Soleia, followed by Limon Verde.

EDIT: As of 3/2021 I own Cocnut Fizz. The more I wear it, the more I love it. I know exactly what and what not to expect with the Aqua Allegoria line; I don’t expect complexity or perfume with a niche vibe. I do expect an easy to wear scent that stays close. This is straight up coconut with a bit of tropical and floral backup. Surprisingly I’m getting great performance, prompting me to go from a like to a love.

anngelica

In my opinion, all members of the Aqua Allegoria collection deserve attention. However, I expected this scent it be an interpretation of some tropical oversugared coconut idea und didn’t try it.

Today, I’ve found out that this is an exquisite French interpretation of a realistic coconut, the taste of which is rather fresh than cloyingly sweet. I can vividly imagine subtle coconut flesh engulfed by coconut water. This subtle delicious note is combined with something beautifully green - may be described as “water fruit”.

This scent is perfekt for a day on the boat. Flying to a distant country is rather impossible at the moment, but Coconut Fizz can add some exotic fizzy feeling to your day, still remaining suitable for the European longitudes and latitudes.

Aland2020

Such a wonderful refreshing coconut fragrance for this Summer heat, it's just what the perfume doctors ordered. It really does have something to it that seems to "fizzle" and has a sparkling quality. I really don't get any of the other notes listed, just a sweet coconut that fizzes like sparkling water on the skin.

Unfortunately that sparkling water quality also presents itself in the performance department. I got about 3 hours wear time out of this scent before it just faded into barely nothing. I do really enjoy the scent, and due to it's nature I wasn't expecting all day longevity, but I wish it maybe could've just lasted a couple more hours. The sillage is never really strong, it's moderate for maybe the first hour, hour and a half.

This is the double edged sword that comes with cooling Summer fragrances I suppse. They just do not hold up in the sweltering heat. Still, you find yourself misting them with abandon anyways just to get a few more minutes of sweet relief.

I love the scent and the way it makes me feel, but I dislike the poor performance for the asking price. But as soon as it goes down to less than half that on eBay, I'll be buying backup bottles.

Jacqueline7nt

You have to be a lover of coconut in all it's forms with this one.
The opening is a burst of coconut and citrus and you do get that short lived 'fizz' but that quickly disappears and you get a little watery fruit. After this it smells like coconut and tonka to me and it is a little on the nauseating side IMO.
At one point, it reminded me of the smell of burning coconut (when frying with coconut oil) and i don't like that.

I think the Tonka coconut combo is too sickly sweet for me, and i love sweet. I prefer coconut in perfumes to lay a little low and this would be more suited for a shampoo or conditioner smell.
The lasting power is about 5 hours on me.

Another disappointing blind buy for me but if you are lover of sweet coconut, i would definitely recommend.

The bottle is beautiful and i like the blue liquid.

Zu_Fragrance

Coconut Fizz - it is OK, similar to Bodyshop Coconut body mist or Yves Rocher Noix de Coco with some candies together. Although much better and summery fragrance is Maison Margiela Beach Walk in my opinion.

mollypop

I'm actually looking for the best dupe of the Hawaiian Tropic of my youth, and I was very hopeful on this one. The bottle is beautiful, the color is so pretty I almost want to take a sip. But it's not enough for me - I'm keeping it, but it's too quiet, too shy. I was hoping the water fruit would be the missing element so many coconut scents need, and while it's really nice and Hawaiian Tropic-esque, I want it to roar into the room with that essence, unabashedly loud with who it is and with no apologies. The hunt continues, but this still gets to stay in the "sunscreen scents" portion of my collection.

cristinaeeee

I'm glad I tried it first before blindly purchasing a bottle. This opens green on me and spicy fresh. Freesia and some hints of coconut are dominant on my skin. I think my expectation was different ... I was hoping for fresh and naturally sweet coconut water (like the juice found inside the coconut) with some bright citrus -- that would have been divine! This is not really sweet on me, more on the spicy and woody side. I am missing the tonka, which I would have loved. Others seem to be really enamored with it and I can understand why -- it's a good warm weather tropical scent.

tootsy

dimitarlolov,
Yes, I do get the dill, ablsolutelly! :)

dimitarlolov

I wonder if anyone else get a hint of freshly smashed dill as note in the beginning as well?

aldinatic

i get the Water Fruit..its warm ish, not to fresh.
for those of you who fell Terracotta is to strong for summer. this is great.

jblodge

Just got a sample of this in today and am wearing it now. To be honest, I'm pretty confused. I was looking for a big blast of coconut, but am getting nothing. I am new to trying to pick out notes, but I just am not getting most of the notes listed.

There was a faint whiff of coconut when I first sprayed that was gone almost before I could put my nose to my wrist, then 5-10 minutes of a watery fruit reminiscent of watermelon (or starfruit, maybe?), then fron there on, in your face gardenia. I don't see gardenia listed at all on the notes, so it must be freesia, but (forgive me- my experience with floral notes is with actual flowers I've had, in my yard or in arrangements, not perfume) it smells exactly like the gardenias blooming in my yard right now, except, ironically, without that nod to coconut that fresh gardenias give me. I've never smelled freesia in a perfume that smelled like cut freesia flowers, which to me smell very fruity rather than floral, almost like Juicy Fruit gum. This perfume smells almost exactly like my Tocca Florence. Side note: are there any fragrances that smell like true freesia (i.e. fruity), or is yellow freesia actually a completely different note than freesia? To sum it up, I was expecting coconut and on me, it's mostly gardenia. Nice, but very strong, and I already have a gardenia fragrance I enjoy (Tocca Florence).
ETA: This review is based on a decant from an ebay seller. I'm starting to wonder, based on the other reviews whether I was sent the correct fragrance.

Michylaka

Coconut Fizz is the most refreshing Coconut I have worn to date! I had to wait until the weather was getting hot to really see how it would perform. I bought this when it was cooler a few months ago and it did not blossom then. Today I pulled it out since we are hot and muggy in Florida on the first day of the Atlantic Hurricane Season. Yay us!

Anyway, upon first spritz I get blasted with Coconut and Bergamot. I am taken by how refreshing and yet how lush this is. As the Bergamot calms down within a minute or so I pick up on the Water fruits. Some say it smells like Watermelon and I agree with that. However, it is fruity and moderately sweet not syrupy sweet.

I also detect the Freesia which is gorgeous here not being too strong but quite pronounced. This gives a beautiful floral dimension. I love it.

The Tonka is lovely as well giving the composition a little warmth and creaminess. Also, the Sandalwood is light giving a very smooth woody facet.

On the drydown I did notice the Coconut and Fruit become a little lighter bringing out the Citrus and Freesia even more. At this point it sort of reminds me of Addict Eau Fraiche 2014 just with Coconut and Tonka instead of Musk.

Ms. Jelk did an excellent job with this one. Although I get the vibe that Thierry Wasser had some input with the composition. Regardless this is a very refined take on Coconut. I can imagine myself in French Polynesia getting out the water and being refreshed by this treat of a fragrance.

The sillage is huge the first half hour then it becomes moderate for the duration which is about four to five hours. So longevity is not outstanding but re-spritzing is an invigorating treat anyway. Give it a try! 10/10

Bouquet

When done right, coconut is one of my favorite notes!

This is like drinking a carbonated fresh coconut water, lime, and watermelon drink on the beach on a scorching hot day. Very refreshing and uplifting! Longevity is very good, but close to the skin.

Got a small vial tester and this shot to the top five on my want list.

stitcherista

Cool, refreshing, a bit sweet but not cloying, and the famous Guerlainade vanilla dry down. This one makes me happy. I’m not a big fan of the AA line so I was surprised that this works so well on my skin. I get the watermelon opening, coconut water to coconut cream development, and tenacious longevity on my clothes. Does not smell like sun cream to me. I love that smell and will keep seeking it. But the freesia note works for me, which was a surprise.

Not blind buy safe. I enjoy blind buying, but I can see how this one might go all wrong for some people. I tested this one a few times first.

Guerlain Terracotta broke my heart. I loved sniffing the bottle but all those white florals were overwhelming on my skin. I sold mine and have been looking for a good summer coconut fragrance for the past two years. I tested this while in Japan last summer and figured it would be easy enough to pick up in the US but like many Guerlains, none were to be found. Finally got one on eBay.

Midnight cat

When I tried it at first was very pleasant fresh aquatic smell
And then after not even five minutes it became like a watery
cheap men’s scent..
It was like acqua di gio but in a bad way.

I ask myself, do I really need another coconut perfume? Then I smell my sample of this and I say yes. I have come to the conclusion that I will smell like a beachy tropical vacation all summer long. This one is a little different than most in my collection. Instead of mixing with vanilla or fruity tropical notes, it's mixed with fresh notes but still sweet enough that it doesn't come off manly. I am personally not a fan of the aqua allegoria line because I am not a fan of citrus, but luckily bergamot is one that I like. Skip the other coconuts on your list and go for this one!

Edit: The longevity is amazing. I sprayed it on my arm before I went to sleep and it was still there when I woke up!

Fresh coconut? Yes, please. Love me some coconut (and coconut water). Cooked coconut? Uhm...

This is cooked coconut to me. Sugary, with some notes of citrusy bergamot and white flower. I don't like the sharpness of sugar and citrus. I don't think they belong together, but that's my nose.

Sillage is heavy. So if you like it you get basked in it. But if you don't, well then you get the fuck away. Obviously this is day time scent. It's also designed and marketed to be summer fragrance which I think, hit the mark.

I tried two Guerlains today and I don't think we make a good acquaintance. Will skip the brand altogether. Maybe it's not for me. Doesn't mean it's not for anybody. So, maybe try it before blind-buy it?

I love this fragrance. The watery fruit note is reminiscent of cucumber. Not sure of what it should actually be but I smell cucumber. It isn't intense but noticeable. This is just a gently sweetened coconut water. Makes me think of filling a spray bottle with coconut water and spritzing your sun-kissed skin. I get around 6 hours of wear time with 5 sprays and I would say the sillage is a good distance from me. My hubby could smell me when he walked in the door from work and I was in the kitchen which is over 12 feet away.

I recommend if you like coconut.

Miruna

That fruity water note kills me.
If you can handle that, you have a lovely coconut fragrance. If, like me, you can't, but you are searching for a coconut-holiday-in-a-bottle scent, go for Creed's VIW.

I agree with the review below, try before buying!

diaanz81

I was going to blind buy this perfume since I love coconut scents and this sounded like the perfect coconutty fragrance. Thank God I tried it before hand because the smell of it repulses me! I was expecting creamy sweet coconut instead I just got green herby floral with no trace of coconut. This is definitely one to try and buy!

Nancy83

The first blast is fruity, watery and coconut, I smell watermelon, the projection is moderate. After an hour it's more citrusy coconut floral, the fruity note is blur, I wish the watermelon scent lasts longer, it loses a bit of that watery softness and seems to get citruser. The coconut remains the entire time on me, which is nice. I'm in love with the watermelony coconut opening, the dry down is still pleasant but not as good. After 4-5 hours it's closer to skin. I would say the performance is average poor, I can smell it 6-8 hours later when I put my nose close to skin, I wish it lasted at least moderate soft longer.

It's a sunny smell, I got compliments and it's my favorite from the Aqua Allegoria perfumes I have tried. I smell more watermelon than in Flora Cherrysia and I found it less sharp too, I just feel I have to try it more to know if I really want it, if it's worth it or if I should just stick with the boozy watermelon Dolce & Gabbana L'Impératrice, but I will use up my sample easily.

Nataliemarie

I too, get the watermelon, but I also get the coconut. This is what I imagine sitting outside, near your clothesline, where you freshly washed laundry is waving in the wind, there's a watermelon that's just been cut, sitting by your non alcoholic coconut drink..."Smells like". Could that ever happen? Possibly!

dglightblue

spring test, two sprays inner elbow.

cool, coconut flesh, sun cream, rounded.
hawaiian tropic suncream by the way.

not sticky like actual suncream, its light but going strong, about 3 hours so far.

starts out strong clean coconut, but i suspect the other accords/notes are back there keeping things balanced.

an expensive house, i probably wont spring for a whole bottle, but if a cheap house did this simple scent i suspect it might be a syntheic mess.

simple but good, i dont like many of the pampelunes, this one seems like an easy wear. be aware i guess of your preferences with suncream scents

Most coconut fragrances are either very sweet, beachy or figgy, this is neither. It starts out really refreshing, like drinking coconut water. The "water fruit" note reads as watermelon to my nose, the freesia is also noticeable.
Later it developes to dry coconut flesh and then to coconut milk. In the last phase the sandalwood is very apparent. What I like about this fragrance is that it doesn't get too warm and gourmandy for high temperatures, but also doesn't just fade out to a sour mess like some other fruity summer scents. The final drydown is a nice woody, milky skinscent.
Coconut Fizz smells just like it should, but it doesn't really wow me. I would certainly use this if someone gave me a bottle or if I saw it highly discounted somewhere, but I won't actively search for it.

iv4enceto_91

This is almost the dupe of my favourite Avon Tahitian holiday. It's Very nice for summer and beach. The coconut is so good without being artificial. When I sprayed on my arm, I feel like I'm on tropic island and drink a cocktail over the palms.

AnitaHendricks

Most coconut perfumes are warm, sweet and creamy. This one is also sweet and creamy but not warm at all! This is a very fresh fragrance! I smell lovely white, watery florals and beautiful citrus notes. It isn't a sharp citrus. It's very well balanced! The only downside is the longlivity. It doesn't last that long.

ReWeegh

Strangely I barley got any coconut on my skin. What I got however is a realistic cold crispy juicy refreshing watermelon. Very natural and lovely it was. I loved it! It stayed for only 30 min or so and then transformed to a bit usual Guerlain citrusy-floral scent (which is a compliment as well). After 2 hours only traceable skinscent, longevity is quite weak.

The Aqua Allegoria line has been hit and miss for me: it has given me a couple of my all time favourite scents, and so I look forward to the new release every year, although the majority of them end up leaving me rather indifferent. Unfortunately Coconut Fizz belongs to that category as well: I don't dislike it, but after testing it for several days I find it a little lackluster. It doesn't quite live up to its name for me, I don't think it smells particularly fizzy at all. It's nice enough, it has a watery, subdued fruity sweetness that's certainly well suited to a hot summer's day. But it doesn't have a bit of the exuberance I personally like from a summer cocktail, in perfume form or otherwise. The coconut is unmistakenly there, but it's the green, pleasantly synthetic variety - again, nice enough, but not exactly tropical, and a little too weak to take center stage as it does here. Performance is on the dissapointing side as well, both in terms of projection and longevity. All in all my experience with Coconut Fizz has been just slightly frustrating; it just leaves me unsatisfied. Let's hope for a hit next year!

This fragrance is so beautiful! I cant believe the ratings are low. To me, this is what victorias secret body sprays USED to smell like when they were on top before they went super cheap and tacky. You can smell the watermelon and the coconut and it is so fresh!! its not a perfume scent whatsoever. Instead its a clean out of the shower, wear to the gym or in scorching hot weather. Its clean or should I say fresh because theres no soapiness. Its your favorite high end bath bomb! Its coconut watermelon made by Guerlain.. How can we not love it?? Thank you Guerlain! I have been waiting for someone to bring back the old creative (actually good) style fragrances as Victoria's Secret used to do when they had second skin satin line with Azurine.. if you remember those days youll like this one :) XO

multipleM7man

Spray on clothes and it will last for hours on end. Good longevity but soft sillage. Great for hot summer days or tropical weather.

Astar

Definitely a favourite from the Aqua Allegoria range. I’d call this scent “sophisticated coconuts” aka coconuts for grown ups. It doesn’t have much in common with cheaply sweet coconut body sprays nor with “beachy” coconuts from Bronze Goddess. This fragrance is pure coconut with this little something something, a secret ingredient of some sort, be it sandalwood or tonka? Surprisingly enough, it lasts a decent few hours, more than any other Aqua Allegoria scents.

Seducianne

The scent itself didn’t blow my socks off, but whats with the longevity ratings? This was going strong on my skin 3 hours after application. Didnt even seem to be part of the Allegoria line. Very good longevity, but soft sillage.

raiza1990

Very nice fragrance. Comforting and uplifiting. Smells like a coconut popsicle! Smells natural, not overly sweet. It is a simple but well done scent. Until now, it is my favorite from this serie.

yann33

very nice , smell exactly like hawaiian tropics after sun body butter!!!! i'm a man and i wear it for hot day without problem .

Nikkafragrance

Wow, this is amazing! I didn't know it was even released when I spotted it at Sephora and sprayed it out of curiosity. It's the absolute summer hit fragrance for me, I was instantly transported to a tropical beach. It's very prominently coconuty, yet fruity and very marine on me. Very beachy, even though sand is not listed among the notes. I like the fact the coconut is very present, but not overpowering like in Terracotta, just subtle coconut water with hint of flowers and woods. Silage is nice, longevity on fabrics is neverending I guess?! I sprayed it on my scarf and put it in the wardrobe completely forgetting about it and now a month later I still can smell that blissful breezy accord. A must try for coconut and summer fragrances lovers.

masako_30

My day at the beach ended.
The fragrance I wore this morning smelled of freesia and now is trying to get noticed among the sweet notes of coconut milk of my abundant suntan lotion, and partly succeeds.
This is Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz to me.
Really pleasant and unusual, for those like me who want to take the Tropics below on an alternative holiday.

KarlekLila

Fizzy carbonated diet soda with artificial green coconut flavoring. Pass. (I sprayed my pinkie finger once and took a whiff after a few moments. My nose burned for an hour as if I'd actually snorted soda)!

DT953

Now, I like this. Not as much as I thought I would, but I also don't like coconut too much so ... I don't know. As a scent, it functions fine. As an Aqua Allegoria, it functions even better. The longevity is minimal, the scent light... but still there. The people around you get that pleasant 'perfume' smell, plus a little bit of Malibu. Yeah, its nice.

Poupchette

After smelling this on paper I was ready to make this my official 2019 summer scent, sadly it turned terribly bad on my skin, after only 5 min of wear a pungent sweaty butt note appeared! I don't know what's wrong with my skin, it's the first time I had a fragrance turn so bad on me. The most frustrating is I LOVE the other notes, and I always wanted a fresh green coconut fragrance, but I cannot get past the sweaty buttcrack note.
I wouldn't recommend blind buying it.

ScarlettX

This is not among my favorites from Aqua allegoria line.
I don't like the coconut note in this one. It smells green to me somehow.
Kind of light in a slushy way.

get the Twist

I blind bought this one this week @ Selfridges.com. If I would have the opportunity to try it before, I wouldn't have bought it. It doesn´t worth the money because, in my opinion, it's a very light scent that is gone after 10 mn...at least on my skin. It's fresh, and aquatic and coconutty but very faint.
I am always looking for a summer/ beach fragrance, with coconut. I thought this one could fit my purpose. It doesn't at all...not even for layering...I think I'll stick to my faithful Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche, TERRACOTA or I'll use BODY SHOP Coconut EDT for layering with my new Pacific Lime by Atelier Cologne, which is nice but has no coconut to my nose.
A sad blind purchase, for me. I recommend you to try it before you buy.
Guerlain is my favourite perfume house, though! And I really love ROSA POP Aqua Allegoria!

blankamik

Blind buy and I am happy I did so. It starts pure coconut, very creamy one. Then the coconut milky tones start turning into coconut water - just like the real coconut ripening. At the same moment, the melon tones make an appearance to give the coconut water even more juicy vibe. I also get salty, marine notes along with melon and coconut water.

During the whole time, coconut is the main note here, but it changes its expression.

Little later, another big player to come to the show is freesia - the freshly cut, grassy, green one, with just a little bit of sweet little flowers that are still opening. It seems to me as if freesia directs the composition back to the creamy kind.

It has a tinge of sweetness, but always remains more fresh than sweet, no sourness at all, and during the development, it transitions from fresh to creamy and back (I'd say more fresh than creamy, as the melony and later flowery green vibes seem to be more dominant). The coconut is certainly the boss here, but it doesn't give me that suntan lotion vibe like for example Terracotta or TF Soleil Blanc.

I am going to pour this all over myself all spring long. Probably summer, too. It's bright and comforting at the same time.

Edit: hours later, it seems to be greener and greener. To a point it reminds me of Philosykos.

gelkita

Tried it quickly in Sephora so I need to test again but the opening was straight coconut and creamy on me which I loved but longevity was zero compared to other Aqua Allegoria...

Will update after my future second test...

smellsbells

Tried this when traveling recently and it was so fizzy and alive and as stated here creamy yet also brings up memories of travel to Greece to see relatives as a child and always at the beach! But it also is not a wow fragrance and may be hard to wear a lot as it has that suntan lotion vibe to it. Pass on a bottle:even if I lived in Cali near a beach i would get asked a lot of i was wearing sunscreen lotion i bet.

cherelune

Guerlain, take my money!!! I love Guerlain and I love coconut and summery fragrances, so this sounds like such a delight to me! Can’t wait to smell it! I hope it is released locally!

smokvica

Would like to try it. Coconut is the other name for summer. And I can't wait for this summer to come, it's been a long cold year, full of negativity. Need some sun. And coconut.
