La Petit Robe Noire EDT Florale was another love at first sniff for me.
A couple of years back, I was in my rose phase and I wanted to collect all the rose centred scents on the market that I tested and loved, no joke! This was phenomenal and unique smelling among all the designers releases and very affordable…

This stayed with me throughout the years and I had even bought a back up bottle since then, I love it so much. Also, since 2018, when it was released, Guerlain chose to discontinue it for some reasons…

As one would expect by looking at the notes, this version of LPRN is centred around three types of rose, black tea, almonds and soft leather. The rose in this is a sweet, deep, rich, dark rose, the black tea offers a certain level of freshness and the leather, which is not very pronounced on me, grounds up the floral notes. Offers some edginess and oomph. Cannot say too much about almonds or musk since I don’t really detect them in here. What I can say for sure is that this blend is strong, nuanced, balanced, sweet and intoxicating!

LPRN EDT Florale is a masterfully blend created by none other than Guerlain’s in house perfumer Thierry Wasser.

For an EDT, this performs incredible. More like an EDP.

Please, bring it back Guerlain!!

Mystères du Château de Dé

I crave it every January. This year the cherry effect has shifted to black cherry or even a bit purple grape. Perhaps blackberry. It's also a bit frosted, for an hour or two. Cool wine that has cherry or berry, licorice and tannins. Cherry Long Island Iced Tea cocktail. The drydown is berry-cherry cream. Of course there is rose all the way through.

If you can find Florale it's close to 100 a bottle now, a cheapie no more.

Im_only_lurking

This is so weird on me. All I get is luxurious rose soap, with the rose disappearing in the first 15 minutes. After that it just smells perfumey but stale, like a cupboard with old, forgotten perfumes in it.

suzanne_ronald

Perfume-y LEATHER ROSE & ALMOND. Overall a rose fragrance, the other notes accentuate the darker facets of rose delivering a long-stemmed 'black' rose that is standing in a perfume decanter. Opens with rose water that sinks into a deeper rose with almond-extract accents, riding on a musky, tannic leather base with black-tea tannin accents. All along there is a perfume-y quality carrying all of the notes, and the result is a much lighter feel than what you would expect from darker notes. Here and there you will catch glimpses of familiar elements. The rose here is deep and velvety with some near-iris accents (not listed). The rose-leather combo reminds me of Habit Rouge EDP Guerlain, another rose-leather combo from Guerlain, although this is much lighter and more feminine. The perfume that all the elements are swimming in smells something like Coco Mademoiselle Chanel EDT, and this is a similar overall vibe of light, powdery-rose, 'perfume-y' feminine composition. In oversimplified terms, you might call this a leather Coco Mademoiselle. Although this has a light feel, it also has really good performance and could be worn year round, although the scent profile reads spring, summer & fall nights to my nose. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Batch No. 7X01 (2017-10)
Quotes from the box [admittedly lost in translation - probably sounds better in French]:
I'm incredibly sexy and more rock than ever,
Dressed in an "all leather style", I bring out every side of rose,
Let my decidedly black style stir your senses.
In La Petite Robe Noire's perfume wardrobe, I'm Black Perfecto.
"In it's way, a perfume is an invisible dress, playing on us dressing ourselves to reveal our personalities."
-- Thierry Wasser, Parfumeur Guerlain.

Update 11/24/23: after this has aged awhile after the first sprays, there’s a gorgeous cherry chapstick vibe as well.

Leesh

This perfume has got me so confused. I find it vampy, and I like it! But then, at times, it reminds me of cherry cough syrup, and then I don't enjoy it. The almond is most prominent for me, which is probably what smells like cherry to some noses. The almond is sharp to my nose, like when I smell almond extract. I smell the leather too. Though I'd say it's more suede-like. The longevity is quite good on me, even better on clothing. I still smelled it on my sweater the next day. I love the bottle design, which reminds me of a queen of spades card. I do like it just for its uniqueness. It's like nothing else I have. But it's got me in a love/hate relationship with it.

Mystères du Château de Dé

Blends with other Guerlains to impart a Turkish, jammy ambiance. Delightful on its own - smells like drinking tea in an old study with leather furniture. Doesn't it have kind of the Nahema rose? Unisex leaning masculine. It was super inexpensive for several years. I suppose it wasn't named and marketed correctly. Has similar vibes to Les Absolus d'Orient but not the longevity. The top is mesmerizing, but then all the magic is in the first hour or two. Still, it's high value and nobody is wearing it and that's a pity because I would enjoy smelling this on people.

GUADELUPA

Firstly, I did not understand this fragrance, it seemed very strange to me. But I tried to wear it and did not notice how much I fell in love with it. This scent is unique and similar only to some other "Dresses". It's very curious, I smell a cherry, but cherry is not listed here. Also I can smell roses and leather. The rose is very gentle and young here. I'm in doubts how to classify this scent. Sweet? Floral? Or any other? Probably, everything at once. This is a delicious cherry jam with rose petals and a slight hint of expensive leather nearby. But it's not a safe blind buy! This fragrance has its own character. Try it first, if possible, because I've heard it was discontinued.

Sapienta

I bought this because it was cheap and its my beloved Guerlain. This is Guerlains version of kitsch. Both visually and olfactory. Black tea and cherries. Very pompous kitch. I find it very suitable to wear when
I am low on enegry.
Truly like a cup of black tea.

I did not expect to like BP Florale EdT, since I do not care for BP in the EdP version. The EdP on my skin becomes only strong tart cherry and sweet licorice, very tame and teen, but the EdT actually starts off quite lovely and clean on me. The roses are both powdery and waxy, and have an old school makeup/skin product vibe. Honeyed and damp, although not too sweet at all. I can smell both the perfumey rose water and the more realistic natural garden rose. The leather note is as faint in the EdT as in the EdP, at least on me. I wish it would be more prominent.

BP Florale is sophisticated but also generic in a good way. Don't get me wrong, I adore Guerlain's heritage and old classics, and this is not in the same territory at all, but it would be fun to own at least one current young Guerlain fragrance, and this might actually be it. The last "new" Guerlain scent I enjoyed was Idylle, so it would definitely be about time.

The drydown is however a bit disapointing: it travels down the little black dress path and ends close to the original. If BP Florale would have stayed in the floral rose garden this might have been a strong like for me. Now I am making my mind up, should it stay or should it go?

Edit:
I ended up keeping it and also buying a small 30 ml bottle of the EdP. Despite my initial hesitation towards it. I now enjoy both, as two different versions of licorice and cherry tea. 🍒

pigmytko

Despite some reviews it is actually a safe blind buy BUT only if you know you are into a leather. It's leather and rose (not fresh one) all over. Longevity is not crazy on my skin, on clothes much more. Projection is also nothing to be affraid of - at least on me it's quite tame.
I was able to find it for a really good price, so I'm happy with it being my everyday fall scent. But I have to say, I would expect much more from Guerlain.

venusbruises

The name is ridiculous and I'm not a big fan of the bottle, but this is one of the few fragrances I liked instantly. This was a blind buy and dirt cheap (22 €) so I wasn't going to be mad if I didn't like it, but surprisingly this is likely to become my signature in the autumn. I think the reason I like it so much is that there is something very similar about this to Anglomania by Vivienne Westwood, albeit this one lacks spices completely. Like Anglomania, this little flanker has tea and leather which I really like. On top of that this is quite rose heavy and rose is my all-time favourite note. I wouldn't describe this dark or edgy by any means. It's a soft, slightly creamy non-citrus rose scent which does not have patchouli unlike the original Black Perfecto. The longevity is surprisingly good for an edt. I'm going to be wearing this a lot once the weather turns cooler.

marigoldmarigold

this was my mum’s signature fragrance, and whenever she would wear it, that leathery note would immediately fill the room, which to me was a tad bit aggressive. i also noticed some powdery notes which weren’t listed. it’s a retro new wave chick scent, could definitely imagine someone like kim wilde wearing it. i believe not everyone has the attitude needed to pull it off so it’s everything but a safe blind buy…

ajfragrances

Ooh I have mixed feelings about this one. Let’s get on thing out of the way: this is NOT a safe blind buy. I bought this because it was at a really good price I didn’t mind it smelling bad. Now, it doesn’t smell bad, but it’s definitely really strong. For an EDT it lasts amazing and projects like crazy. But you do have to be a fan of leather to like this. And even then you might not like it. I’ve heard that it has cherry and smells like cherry a lot, but on Fragrantica it doesn’t list cherry as an ingredient. Either way, it does have a cherry/dark cherry/sour cherry smell to me. I barely get any rose. To me it just smells like cherry and leather. Predominately leather. I like it, but I’d have to be in the mood for a heavy fragrance to wear this.

katesuisted

Just tried this on at department store. I get strong 70's baby powder vibes.

xpetra82

it's a light skin scent but it gives oud satin mood vibes to me...so.... perfect...black perfect!

Púca

I am honestly so confused between the regular black perfecto and then the black perfect eau de toilette florale. Are they the same thing because their notes are different? Anyway, somehow I ended up with with black perfecto eau de PARFUM florale which I wonder if it is legit as fragrantica doesn't have that version in their database. Anyway, if the two are even any different I would have preferred the original black perfecto as the cherry, almond, and anise sounds delicious. This is just a big sweet fruity super rose. I don't know any perfume collector who already doesn't have a bunch of those to begin with. Honestly, if you have ever smelled Angel Nova with its dry fruity rose, this is that but more sweet. I don't sense any leather or anything. Just fruit and cloying rose. If you want this, just get Angel Nova instead.

skiergirl24

I don't know if I received a bad batch or what but this smells awful. Almost gag worthy. All I get is the aroma of a truck stop bathroom. Cheap, terrible bathroom spray covering up ghastly odors. I practically gagged when I sprayed this stuff. I don't smell any cherry or leather. All I smell is cheap floral body spray - like dollar store variety that you would use to cover up a terrible bodily odor or rotting garbage. The stuff that is so bad you wouldn't even wear it. Not even a $9.99 body spray from walgreens...not even that palatable. I don't even smell the rose. What the heck. I was SO looking forward to this scent.

frusia

I like it, BUT I was hoping for that rose and leather, while the most prominent note here seems to be the unlisted licoriced cherry, very Lolita Lempicka style (although somewhat colder and less sweet than Lolita's).

I loved Lolita, so I don't mind, in a way I'm happy to find this because I believe the Lolita I knew has been discontinued or reformulated and exists as quite a different fragrance now.

La Petite Robe Noire Florale EDT seems rosey and slightly leathery at first, but quite quickly the cherry+licorice combo takes over and although I'm not familiar with the EDP version, the EDP notes seem to fit this scent somewhat better.

mapache

I own and love the first Black Perfecto. This flanker is "nice" scent.....it wears nice and plays nice. Dusty rosy...and somehow I get a lichi/rhubarb-ish vibe too. Leather....???....where ?? Maybe..."suedey" at best. This is an almost skin scent after spraying....sadly. The original has great sillage/performance on my skin. This flanker is a "little shy sister" of the original.

AddictTaste4639

This is my first time reviewed perfume Black Perfecto by La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Toilette Florale Guerlain for women. I got it yesterday then I was tried immediately when opened up the box. I used to have Guerlain Idylle Eau de Parfume. It was quite floral and sweet sense. Thus, when I looked it back and smell Black perfecto YES it is. First spray, can smell Hot cherry with Leather in the same time and hint with roses. There are luxuriously and deliciously together. The smell leave as long as 6 hours. minimums (Thailand). I don't know other country how long the smell is far?

If I am creating characters of parfume. It will be sweet and hiding most sexiest and strong in the same time.

Holli

This is like Bvlgari Black except that you're not outside the car on the pavement. Instead, you're invited inside of the car, doors closed where there are luxurious leather seats.

Mine says perfecto eau de parfum florale. Maybe why it's the leather showing so much. If you want more leather, look for this one perhaps!

Amy Ann

I decided to rewrite the comment about this perfume because I realized that I had talked more about the funny situation the perfume generated and less about the smell. And somehow in the final was understood that I, who am not a Guerlain fan, and I do not consider that it is a brand that creates for a typology of strong and modern woman, I love this perfume and so it is extraordinary, no. It is better than the EDP version which is disastrously sweet with a plastic cherry covering any trace of skin or tea. This variant has a stronger rose, a combination in fact, but it smells like pretty fresh roses, garden one being the predominant, but here I can feel the Swedish bitter type of smell, maybe from almond black tea combination, I can feel the leather, it's a suede type, and I feel a somehow green note. It's not a miraculous perfume, but it's not something a woman in a suit can't wear, the original and Black Perfecto EDP are not to be worn in that situation, because that sweetness and the cherry that I feel here too, but it's much more temperated , contradicts the image of sobriety and power of a suit. In this case, it doesn't contradict it, but it doesn't propel it either, it's somehow neutral. I like it over all, I didn't make a passion for it, I will probably not buy it again but I would wear this bottle till I will finish it. It's give me the sensation of Fendi L' acquarrosa EDT, the same spicy rose, but BP EDT is less sweet and calmer in the projection of the rose, while Fendi is more wild with the rose, sweater, but has a masculine downnote that I like it more. Over all, it's not a bad thing, it's a perfume that worked more could lead to a more interesting direction. Maybe G will decide to make some perfumes on the typology of a more warrior powerful woman and could star from this one, it could be Ma petite armure, I would be the first customer.

A blind buy succes! A tale of burgundy roses

I was never a rose perfume person, although I do enjoy their fragrance as flowers. I feel like the scent doesn’t translate well in perfumes. LPRN Florale proved me wrong. The rose here is the smell of burgundy roses my grandma grows in her garden. A jam like sweetness, but deep, rounded, full flavored. At no point is this a watery, pale rose. No no no. I can smell the cherry, although not listed, it is a LPRN after all, but it is toned way down and only plays support adding a fruity edge. Vanilla is dripping all over the roses and the whole affair is wrapped in leather. The leather is soft, mellow, it reads almost as suede to my nose. Once in a while, probably with body temperature, the leather decides to take the lead and it is amplified to remind me this perfume wants to be taken seriously.

A flanker of a flanker, but a very good one. I definitely prefer it to the original Black Perfecto; BP lacks the chic factor the roses bring. Who would have thought I will ever say this?!

ShannonIk

This is a scent that I find a bit confusing and confounding; I don't like to say that I don't like a scent unless there is something that I just find offensive about it. And, in this case, I don't feel that is entirely appropriate. But, I'm just flat out bumfuzzled by it.

The initial blast of cherry seems a bit medicinal - it reminds me of cherry flavored cough syrup. But, as the scent dries down, it definitely takes on a more delectable quality. I have narrowed it down to how the rose is handled; it is less like a rose that one might encounter in a bouquet, and more like how food flavored, or scented, with rose water might smell. Combined with the tonka and cherry it is pleasant enough, but then the leather . . . .

I can't decide if this is something that I should just hold back for a bit later, or if it is just not quite my style. I do believe that it is of good quality.

Perpetual Collector

@dglightblue, you bought an EDP. The one with flowers is a Florale version which is an EDT. I hope that helps!

dglightblue

this makes me grumpy. the box i purchased said the above named title, the bottle inside is the plain one, with no roses on it. i think there could be some mislabeling going on??

Murmur123123

I have both this and Black Perfecto EDP. The opening of the EDT is a lot more rosy than the EDP - almost purely rosy. After an hour or so, the EDT becomes very similar to the EDP, but slightly lighter and less dense, and quite sweet still. The black tea note in the EDT is prominent to my nose. The EDP is good for cold autumn and winter, and the EDT can be used for all seasons except the hotter months.

Avian

Black Perfecto EDT is a pretty little thing. It's very similar to BP EDP, but it lacks the L'Heure Bleu indigo floral backdrop and the musky leather drydown. What BP EDT does nicely is amp the juicy rose and stir in a smooth, warm almond. Both of these notes are present in BP EDP, but they're more pronounced in BP EDT. BP EDT also skips the unfortunate harsh cherry that BP EDP opens with.

I do prefer the old-fashioned flair in BP EDP, but I can still appreciate BP EDT for what it brings to the table. If you like Hypnotic Poison EDP or Lalique Lumiere, you might like BP EDT. There's a little something in the almond-y drydown that connects them.

UnearthlyApothecary

I don’t like the EDT as much as the EDP, I like the richer, darker, edgier version with stronger leather. I get quite a bit of the cherry licorice from the original LPRN as well. If you like the idea of a rose freshie with a very mild leather, well this is it! it’s very wearable and has great performance lasted all day with noticeable throw

PlanetGrl

Rose, rose, more rose, powder, and a bit of tame leather, as in the nice driving gloves your mum might give you for your birthday. This is not the punk rock girl in the spiked leather jacket and fishnets under a silk LBD that I hoped for. I sprayed it on my wrists before a nap (maybe 2 hours) and when I woke up it was completely gone. I’m learning not to write a scent off after the first wear, I mostly blind buy based on base notes I know I love and my picks are usually spot on. I’ll give this another go when the weather warms up.
Edit: I had ordered the BP edp and received this one by mistake (edt), thank goodness. I can’t stand all that synthetic rose:/ Selling this for sure. Update: sold

eloisegirl

First time I smelled this, I thought I could give it a pass. My loyalty was to the Black Perfecto Florale. A few years later, I caved and bought it - seems like the spring/summer version of Florale. If you don't want thick rockstar leather/cherry/rose, this is a safer choice. Also, these black bottles (Edt and EdP) are to die for.

Fleurpetit

Black Perfecto Florale reminds me of a berry fruity Loverdose on initial spray. As it settles the famous Guerlainade peeks through and smooths the harsh liquorice.. it’s quite lovely. I haven’t tried the original so can’t comment.. nonetheless I probably wouldn’t buy this as have too many other perfumes on my list.. still, it’s palatable and would be interesting worn on a male counterpart.

nguyenvuhungvuong

Blind buy and vertu happy about that. It is just like Mirage Eau de Parfum which I really love. Although its sweeter but still love it ❤❤❤ Mirage is darker and more mystery while this one is sweeter and more lighter. Love how it smell on me

kristalbee

Devastated my most favourite EDP Black Perfecto is now discontinued in the UK. The EDT is still available, and although I never normally buy EDT thought I'd give it a go as it was on sale. The initial smell is more floral than the EDT but recognizable. What it looses in the dry down is the lovely licorice tobacco grown up slap in the face intensiveness which is replaced with a powdery rose and synthetic something or other I can't put my finger on. Oh well it will be a nice body spray after a shower but now I'll have to try to stock up on my EDT before it disappears for good.

celia46

Today I try it a second time, and I have to say that this is the only one in the La Petit Robe Noir line where I can detect the fabulous guerlinade once it has dried on my skin.

missk

I had every intention of testing the original Black Perfecto by La Petite Robe Noire when I visited my local department store. For some unbeknownst reason, only the flanker Black Perfecto Florale was on display and naturally, I was confused. The original Black Perfecto has an all-black bottle with white print, whereas this flanker has a bold white emblem on the front with a pink rose and a cute little bumblebee. The thing that confused me most, it doesn't actually say 'Florale' anywhere on the bottle.

I neither like this fragrance nor hate it. It doesn't have the most pleasant opening on my skin, in fact, I found it rather sharp and unpleasant at first. There was a sweet synthetic rose aroma that didn't gel too well with my chemistry. Thankfully the drydown softens this harsh rose accord, settling into an easy to wear vanilla, almond and musk blend.

Black Perfecto Florale is quite basic in its composition; a sugary-sweet rose with a nutty, gourmand-esque almond. I am now very curious to test the original Black Perfecto as the number of rave reviews suggests that this flanker's predecessor is much more wearable.

I'm not entirely sure why Black Perfecto Florale is the only accessible La Petite Robe Noire fragrance in my local area. Perhaps they are just waiting on stock and this flanker was all they had left. I sincerely hope that Black Perfecto by La Petite Robe Noire is more palatable and unique.

Dan27

i don't know, i dont detect any cherry in this. what i get is harsh roses,a little green and leather. after 1 hour it tones down and becomes smoother, pretty scent. it sure does has the dark vibes to it.

Ivyswirl

I actually like this one the best (although the eau fraiche with the pistachio note was actually pretty interesting and a bit different).

For me the original and subsequent flankers all seem pretty similar and all remind me of Chantal Thomas's original perfume which I found smelled like fruity sweets. I liked it actually (it was so girly I wanted to wear full pink and everything). But it's not something I would have gone out in.

This on the other hand, has more floral and rose notes, with a better almond note that's not so overpowered. I can't say I smell a ton of leather but I do tend to wear stuff like Bandit or Cabochard so my view of leather is a bit meaner, less fluffy.

I'll be honest and say I got a bottle for £20, it was a steal and I love Guerlain but with their original gems still about I know where my loyalty lies.

dglightblue

Ooooh, interesting
A welcome change to the fruities and sweeties.

First off I got earthy kind, guerlain powder edge, gentle, rounded.

Now I’m getting rounded warmish leather with a berry base, not synthetic smelling, quite nice and I can’t wait to see how it develops.

Two sprays to wrist, autumn and cooler weather.

outofocus

Good if you like to wear leather even in your underwear clothes. To me it smells synthetic.

gracencirce

After smelling this perfume my point of view in perdumes changed guerlain really makes amazing perfumes. The cherries after the first spray are noticeable them it becomes more musky in my skin. I have comments all the time when i wear this and i feel sexy and classy. Its a really good choice for a present if you a man and looking for a unique present not for the masses kinda expensive but this juice worths every drop. In the notes i dont notice the almonds.

MoreScentsThanDollars

I haven't got much to add really that hasn't been already said, so I'll be brief.
It's a very beautiful scent, Almost the same as the other leather, Noir black perfecto, but this is more beautiful imho, To me they both smell like Hot Chicks in black leather jackets, At the races, drinking Cherry Kaluha, In front of the flower reefs. Haha seriously.
For my taste, This is the best of the La Petite robes vast collection of flankers, Well the best of the six or so I've worn. The whole line has a youthful, modern vibe and I picture a much younger, 'Alana Myles singing Black Velvet', with her sexy black, sleek look going on.
I tested the two I've got here, side by side and Im enjoying the brighter lift that the floral one offers.

dsty

Look, I thought "La Petite Robe Noire" was an awful name for a perfume, and especially shocking coming from Guerlain, so you can imagine what I think of "La Petite Robe Noire Black Perfecto Eau de Toilette Florale". No perfume name should have that many words, and no perfume should have this many flankers- it's really getting ridiculous at this point! Just for that, I would have happily ignored this addition to the line, like I have the 20 previous ones, if I hadn’t acquired a sample quite by chance.

So I wasn't well disposed to this one at all, and for me to set aside those prejudices, it would have to be quite special. Having sampled it, grudgingly, I can say that it's not. It's not a bad scent, but it smells just about like you'd expect from a flanker of a flanker: vaguely like the original, with a slightly syrupy sweetness that's quite nice but also rather bland, and just a hint of leather thrown in. Also, it smells more synthetic than I would like, and more than I remember from the original.

All in all, though I don't dislike this scent, I see no reason to revise my initial opinion that the world didn't need another LPRN. I can dismiss this sample without any qualms.

Equestre

FYI for interested parties - this has hit David Jones stores in Australia. Hoping to test it next week!

NixNox

I have the original Black Perfecto EDP, so I can compare the EDP with the EDT directly. First of all, this is much heavier with the rose than the EDP, especially on first spray. The roses are heady, sharp and green at first, then settle down to a smoother mix with the almond. There is very little fruit here - someone below said it smells like cherry, but no, not at all for me; it's not cherry I'm detecting, but almond. Less cherry, just luscious roses with almonds and leather. The almond is a really fantastic, super-realist note - beautiful and addictive.

I am getting the leather note much more clearly here than with the EDP. Perhaps because the scent layers are simpler in the EDT, the leather and rose are amplified without those deep cherry-rose and patchouli notes I detect in the EDP. This really is much more floral, more rose, more leather.

It does have an edgy, rock n' roll feel to it, so the bottle design is a perfect reflection of the scent - I mean, seriously, would you look at that bottle, on its own it's perfect-o! I am glad I have both because I can really detect a different approach in the two scents; the EDT is vibrant, edgy, minimalist, whereas the EDP is more sumptuous, cosy and sexy. A beautiful scent and the perfect accompaniment to my black leather jacket come Autumn!

I have just tested Black Perfecto by La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Toilette Florale or BPBLPRNEDTF and, regretfully, I have to say that this is the moment when the poor Thierry Wasser and the artistic directors at LMVH who are now in charge of the Guerlain brand have completely lost the plot. This is the millionth flanker of LPRN in less than five years, but they all smell more-or-less the same! Someone please enlighten me re: what's the point of releasing so many nearly-identical clones of a cherry fragrance that was nothing to write home about in the first place?!

Lovely bottle. Was hoping for roses&leather combination and not cherries like the original. Somehow it smells vintage and cherry is still stronger than.what I like ...

Got my blind buy bottle of this today, and I'm very pleased with it! I've never cared for the other LPRN scents, I find them too sweet, syrupy and artificial. I did however take a liking to the LPRN Black Perfecto EDP because of the deep almost smoky leather notes (it just felt like a cheerful but sultry evening scent) but I ended up not wearing it much because it's very sweet and overpowering and in your face.

This EDT version is exactly what I was wishing for. On first spray it smells very similar to the Black Perfecto EDP, but as soon as it dries down it's less overpowering and sweet and it has prominent rose notes that I can't really smell in the EDP. The rose in this one manages to be both fresh, sweet and a bit abstract. It seems like they smell different depending on how far away from my wrist my nose is. The rose smells unusual, very interestingly when blended with the other notes.

This scent is simply fresher, softer and more floral than the EDP, yet it retains the liquor-leather vibe of the original Black Perfecto. The black tea and almond notes softens and matures then scent a bit too, and I'm glad it's lacking the syrupy sweet cherries that can be found in most of the LPRN perfumes. In my opinion this is the best one in the whole LPRN line, once it's settled it's well balanced and elegant yet retains a bit of the cheerful vibe you would associate with the LPRN line. The rose is lovely in this one too!

I guess this edition will suit those who would prefer Black Perfecto with less intense leather accent - but with more pronounced, intense & juicy cherry note. Black Perfecto by La Petite Robe Noire EdT is a play of woody & fruity roses with a delicate blend of soft leather & raw/milky almonds in the base. It´s opulently floral & gently leathery, yet possed of a fresh lightness. Moreover, it´s chic & sexy.

One more flanker that doesn't bring anything new; in fact, as I tried it out yesterday, I was disappointed. If you love sweet rose scents, as I do, you won't find one here. This is too sour and sharp for my taste, and although the Black Perfecto EDP version isn't my cup of tea either, it is better blended than this one. They should have stopped at that because with this flanker I can tell that Mr. Wasser has hit rock-bottom.

I bet Thierry Wasser is getting tired of pumping out new flankers every two weeks. Now I know why he is sticking to Mitsouko.
