La Petite Robe Noire Intense by Guerlain is a Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance for women. La Petite Robe Noire Intense was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Thierry Wasser. Top notes are Cotton Candy, Blueberry, Raspberry, Cassis and Bergamot; middle notes are Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine and Orange Blossom; base notes are Vanilla, Patchouli, Sandalwood and White Musk.

La Petite Robe Noire Ma Robe Sous le Vent (loosely translated as "my dress in the wind") comes out in July 2016 as the new Eau de Parfum Intense edition of the fragrance La Petite Robe Noire launched by Guerlain in 2012. In addition to the original Eau de Parfum, the collection also includes La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Toilette from 2012, La Petite Robe Noire Couture from 2014 and La Petite Robe Noire Eau Fraiche from 2015. Guerlain's in-house perfumer Thierry Wasser is the creator behind the collection.

The La Petite Robe Noire Intense edition is announced as a sweeter composition than its predecessors. The fragrance comes in a deep blue bottle of the distinctive La Petite Robe Noir design, with the drawing of a little black dress in Marilyn Monroe style.

Notes of cotton candy mix with fresh bergamot and the fruity character of blueberries in the top of the composition. Bulgarian rose is still present in the heart of the perfume, laid on the base of patchouli, white musk, sandalwood and vanilla.

It will be available as a 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum Intense.

I barely get the blueberry and cotton candy and get more of the jasmine and orange blossoms which is super a bummer. I love the Eau Fraiche and the original EDP because I get the cherry and nutty notes . Kind of annoying I get just sweet florals out of this one

girldeadbug

Wow, super weird. I see LVEB in “smells like” but no votes for Flowerbomb or Flowerbomb Dew which I think this smells even more like.

I’ve had 8mL decants of all from fragrance.com for a long while. They’re all in brushed silver atomizer cases. So when I sprayed this LPRNI to smell it for the first time in a long time, I was puzzled and thought I accidentally sprayed Flowerbomb Dew. Checked the labels and nope, I sure sprayed LPRNI. But upon sniffing all 3, you would think they are all related for sure!

Now that I’m paying extra attention, it is closer to the regular Flowerbomb. But I as well as a ton of other people feel it smells pretty close to LVEB, so that makes sense. LPRNI is a touch candy-sweeter than Flowerbomb, but in the air, I think any Flowerbomb fan would think that’s what you’re wearing.

P.S. If anyone wants a 100% spot-on Flowerbomb dupe, Dossier’s Gourmand White Flowers is it.

If you’re not into dupe bottles, then pick up LPRNI and see how it wears on you. It is chilly weather here and it actually goes well. Not all heavy and stifling like the usual cherry-almond-licorice-patchouli LPRN DNA.

This is the best from the line 💔 followed by the EDT and the Eau Fraîche.

Received a sample from a friend. A lot sweeter than the green bottle. Obvious candy and vanilla, but it's not overly sweet. Well balanced. Another love from the Guerlain house!

When I tried this out for the first time, I accidentally layered this over JPG La Belle and some remnants of TF White Patchouli I’d been wearing that day. The combo ended up being so cozy and comforting I think I fell asleep standing up.

And in a distant galaxy far, far away..I heard the faint echo of my husband saying, “DAMN you smell good!”
as I floated past him in my own little fresh cloud of ripe blueberries, sparkly bergamot and creamy white musk.

Three days later I’m still asleep, but I smell good as hell.

True story.

Bhavnalovesscents

Sweet, syrupy, blueberry candy scent. Took a while for this to grow on me. I appreciate its scent profile more now. Beautiful sugary scent and a compliment magnet.

minecraftnathalia

This is gorgeous!!🤩
I blind bought this as it’s discontinued and judging by the notes I was fairly certain I’d like it, and I definitely did!

At first spray I found it to be a bit masculine but after a few minutes it turns into this lovely sweet yet fresh well-blended goodness! As such, the notes are a tad hard to tell apart but it’s in no way messy. I’m not too fond of patchouli or cassis but I still really enjoy this scent as I can’t really detect them after the dry down.

As for similarity to all the other LPRN fragrances I can’t say much as I’ve only smelled the original. This is different to the OG. They are definitely not siblings. It’s more like one of those far off relatives you’ve only met once or twice. So just because you don’t like the original LPRN doesn’t mean you won’t like this. I feel like this one’s generally more likable.

The longevity and silage is above average but it’s not a beast mode fragrance.

Overall a solid 9/10🤤

Featherblossom

I don't think this is as sweet as some of the others in the LPRN line. Yes, there is a strong blueberry note, but it's not a sweet (or even a sour) blueberry. It's a well-rounded blueberry, just ripe enough to eat.

I don't get much raspberry. However, I do get cassis and bergamot, which add a nice green and almost spicy citrus note. I think these two notes in particular add an almost unisex slant to this fragrance. Out of all the LPRN scents I've tried, this is the only one that I think could actually smell nice on a man.

I feel like there's also more liquorice in this one than in some of the other LPRN scents. The cotton candy comes out more in the dry down!

It has decent sillage and longevity! Although I don't think it's as strong as LPRN Black Perfecto or the OG.

Sticky Sweet COTTON-CANDY & BLUEBERRIES. Opens with a sparkly, sweet burst of fruity blueberry & cotton-candy, that deepens into the heart with creamy, marshmallow & aromatic-ozonic tones, all resting on a musky vanilla & sandalwood-patchouli base. There are familiar elements that you catch a glimpse of here and there. The easiest way of describing it is like a layer of La Vie Est Belle Lancome opening for the heart of La Belle Jean Paul Gaultier, riding on a base layer of Cloud Ariana Grande. All the while riding on top there is a fresh blueberry accord with aromatic-ozonic elements that remind me of violet leaf. I agree with reviewer AquaBaby5 below who says "It's actually in the family of a blueberry Flowerbomb..." This has excellent performance for a year round wearing experience, and although there's a depth and sticky sweetness appropriate to fall & winter nights, the blueberry accord freshens it up and it could be worn in summer with a lighter application. While this has been discontinued (although still available), and many similar scents have passed their 'best before' limits, this will be the one that I keep. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Contrast to La Vie Est Belle Lancome:
These are different, but there is a similar sticky-sweet patchouli vibe. LVEB has a more forward iris note, while La Petite Robe Noire Intense has an additional aromatic-ozonic blueberry accord that smells a little like the loosely translated 'My Dress in the Wind' for 'Ma Robe Sous le Vent', the latter part of the name, 'La Petite Robe Noire Intense, Ma Robe Sous le Vent. The double entendre isn't lost on us, if LVEB was to be considered the true little black dress of fragrance at the time of this release, just add a little blueberry wind on top and you're in the ballpark. Both have excellent performance.

i don't like the LPRN dna and this fragrance helped me realize that ♡ i really tried with both this and the eau fraiche
i got zero blueberry or cotton candy. this is one of those lines where the notes don't describe how it smells.
i would love it as an incense for my home but it gives me a headache to wear it+ i dont like it enough to want to smell it for that long

sweetjess

Yum!!!! I got a pack of 4 minis of LPRN and this one was my favourite by a long shot. If you're not a huge fan of the original liquorice-powdery scents like me give this one a go. It's fruity cotton candy goodness!!!

LSAUG

I own 2 from this line. The black perfecto flanker and the Hippy chick flanker. Both of those are quite similar to each other and as I looked at the others in this line I didn't' think I needed to try anymore. Then I saw this flanker and thought now this is different enough to make me curious enough to buy a decant. It's sad this is discontinued. Is it a bit to sweet? Sure, it is a candy scent, yes, but I find I like it anyway. When you first smell this it really smells like blueberries, warm sugary blueberries, like what you would put in a pie. As the perfume goes along you get a tangy citrus, like a super tart drink of bergamotade instead of lemonade. There are plates filled w/ raspberry macaroons at this party, blueberry pie, sugary citrus punch and mountains of cotton candy. It's all a bit in bad taste and I can see why Guerlain discontinued it, but it is the type of perfume that is a guilty pleasure. Something to wear (I have perfumes that qualify in this category) to feel young again. Almost headache inducing for me, but it pulls back just enough but I will go easy w/ sprays. I don't think I will invest in a full bottle, but I may buy another decant. My husband really, really loved this. If you like perfumes that make you feel like you are at a carnival filled w/ cotton candy and other sweet treats that we all pigged out on as a young kid find a sample/decant and check it out. I don't think you will be disappointed.

AquaBaby5

I like cherry fragrances, truly. Most of them I really like. But the cherry in LPRN fragrances is cough syrup to me. I took a chance and blind bought this fragrance because I like the blueberry-esque black currant note in One Umbrella For Two and this didn’t have the cherry note. I am pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this is to wear. It’s sort of nondescript in that I get a well blended sweet scent and not really distinct notes, but I can tell there is some patchouli and a musk that I have smelled in other modern Guerlains (especially Shalimar Soufflé line). I don’t find this sickly (I don’t think La Belle is either), but it also is not mature. It’s actually in the family of a blueberry Flowerbomb without the tea or osmanthus notes? Hmm. Maybe that’s why I like it :) Flowerbomb was my first ever signature but I just can’t wear it anymore due to how those notes play on my skin now.

stardenise16

La Petite Robe Noir Intense is lovely. So far, it’s the the only blueberry fragrance I actually love and the bottle is amazing in the blue color.

buffybases

On me it smells stunning. A sweet smooth blend of berries and vanilla. It's got a tiny tiny bit of smoke in there also. It's just gorgeous. I suspect you need it to 'marinate' though and itwill probaby smell it's best after around 3 months of being used. It's the perfect blend of sweet and mature. Other fragrances smell similar but this? I'll recognise it anywhere. This is what a vampire would smell like.

Vanillastorm40

I love this fragrance. I love blueberry as a note and it's done really well here. I just came to say that yesterday, I layered this with DUA Blueberry Brandy and what an amazing combination!! If you happen to own both, I highly recommend it. Especially of you want to amp up that beautiful blueberry note in LPRNI. Both fragrances are gorgeous on their own but as a combo, wow!

mirnam

If you love sweet perfumes look no further! This is a blueberry cotton candy BOMB, long lasting with an outstanding sillage. To me it's quite a departure from all other LPRN flankers which are not my cup of tea (I struggle with syrupy cherry scents).

P.S.If you can't find the old blue bottle, go for the newer version under the same name. They smell almost identical however I didn't give it a proper wear test to see if it's as strong as the older formulation.

villiruusut

Had a colour-turned sample sitting in my shelves, forgotten. When I finally got around to trying it, I was actually quite disgusted by it. It smelt sickly sweet, almost rancid, and I just really wanted to scrub it off. Returning to it a few weeks later, perhaps through a bit of aeration since the first spray, the fragrance smelt airier, kind of "fluffier" this time around.

My favourite is still the original (I think it's plenty intense), but this is a pretty interesting twist to the line. Definitely don't think of this as the intense version of the original, but LPRN Intense has a playful twist of blueberries and candied notes and none of the cherry and licorice that the original has.

Word on the street has it that the new release under the same name is basically the same but I love the look of this flacon way more!

CGud23

I’ve been craving a blueberry note in a fragrance (while trying to avoid purchasing Floraiku One Umbrella for Two or EBK Deep N Desire Yacht because of the high price tags) and thought that this one might satisfy that craving but unfortunately this one isn’t it!

I don’t smell a distinct blueberry in this one, just a hodge podge of berry and sugary notes. It’s meh at best! I had high hopes since LPRN Eau Fraiche is one of my all-time fave freshies but this one was a let-down for me. It’s so BORING I’m annoyed! Blind buy fail!

pepperysaurus

I *like* that I own this, but I don't LOVE that I own it.

When I first bought it, I didn't let it macerate after its journey to me before I started trying it and comparing it. I thought it was like a combination of my Bath and Body Works' Into the Night candle and Britney Spears Rainbow Fantasy (which also hadn't macerated yet).

Now that I've let LPRN Intense and Rainbow Fantasy sit in my collection - I think they are so different. Before, some of the accords jumped out at me for being so similar - "sweet, fruity, caramel" - and to a lesser extent - "woody, powdery". Like, yes of course, they both have cotton candy. And yes, there's fruit - LPRN Intense's blueberry, RF's cloudberry and finger lime - but LPRN Intense's blueberry is so well blended that I would call it a "sweet and fruity note/accord" but not necessarily "blueberry". To elaborate - it quickly fades, and it's not as noticeable or fresh-fruity like the blueberry in Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy and Cacharel Yes I Am Fabulous.

And I think that's the problem for me - the notes are so well blended that nothing really stands out to me as being special. We have "blueberry" and "cotton candy" turning into "sweet and fruity accord" and then there's a general warmth from something (probably vanilla) and then there's a general depth and maturity from something else (probably patchouli and cassis), and that's it. Voila. Maybe you'll like it more than me. Maybe the reformulation is better? Idk lol

In the end, I prefer BS Rainbow Fantasy more. The fresh, green, and aromatic qualities from the pear leaf, finger lime, and water lily notes contrasts with the cotton candy and (what I presume to be) cloudberry and makes it way more interesting to smell and more versatile to wear. LPRN Intense is limited to winter/evening wear.

Perfumeluva1744

This smells similar to Louis Vuitton Attrape-Rêves with an added blueberry accord. Nice, but I already own Attrape-Rêves

Saj_Shae

This scent truly perplexes me. It's well blended to the point where it's almost TOO well blended.. Everything feels muddled together and nothing stands out except for the patchouli. It opens up very strong and loud as it's quite top heavy, then it settles and balances out drastically as it dries down. I must say, the sillage smells beautiful and when this hits the cold air, heads WILL TURN. I haven't been able to part with it simply because nothing smells quite like this. There might be similar fragrances but the Guerlain touch in this fragrance makes the musky-blueberry-cotton-candy sugary-patchouli DNA smell very Parisian.

pariamehr

I didn't think i would like this since I don't like robe noir but this one is so much better than robe noir with cherry scent

Cherry Bloom

I was reading the comments about this one and i found below a comment of myself (haha) posted in summer praising this one so heavily. Now it's winter and I find it so boring. I was hoping for a cotton candy, perfumey deliciousness but it's not. I'm not very good at detecting notes yet i sense some patchouli done beautifully yet not enough to love the perfume as a whole.
My boyfriend loves it though as he dislike all my niche goodies.

Frenchghost

Very unique&mysterious, not what i was expecting,so unique interesting& im enchanted, good blind buy wow last a good 6 hrs loud first 3hrs&last on clothing~its my midnight velvet its spicy clean fresh hint, smoothly velvet sweet&not to much of anything a bright fruit with slight powder also, feminine yet smoothly adventurous, really not getting what everyone else is,on my skin its so freaking good wow!!! I. Hate. Spicy. Scents. But somehow. It. Works! Like the. Spice.in Gucci. 2 with heavy cap hockey. Cap bottle . Perfume discontinued btw,i only like the first 3hrs of intense, love first 3 hrs its unique after 3 hrs its not my favorite tho UPDATE ◇04-2023, I now know what I dislike in this after the 3-4 hr mark,it smells like a warm cloudy version of into the night by bath&bodyworks& I hate that bodymist. I was also excited when I first wrote on this so,but yeah it's not something I wear daily,it's definitely strange&unusual &I wear maybe 1 a month, and what stops me from getting another (FB)is the 2nd faze of this perfume.

KateWest

This is more of a cassis fragrance than a blueberry one to my nose. I'm shocked that people have rated that note so low since it's 50% of what I'm smelling. This fragrance smells more mature than I was anticipating but I'm definitely not mad about that. I prefer my gourmands to be spicy and complex and you definitely get that here. I would happily wear this in the colder months as well as summer evenings. Really lovely, unique scent.

miss_aly

Very well-balanced! Not many blueberry notes in frags nowa days, and this one opens up beautifully! A 20 year old or a 50 year old could wear this and it'd be perfect! I wore it to a wedding recently and received a compliment, so I'll def take the win! I layered it with Vanilla Woods by 7 Virtues which made it more fall-friendly!

KumaraScents

Just perfectly lovely 💜

RobinWhite915

So, dang good! I know this line has been around for a while, but it doesn’t get enough love. I have the OG, but the intense is better. This is a delicious, sexy scent, and if you collect fragrance you need this one because the intense flanker is discontinued. Guerlain is does fragrance right!

sibaraa

Ripe 🫐 a soft rosiness in the middle and the heavenly vanilic dry down. This is a mature, sophisticated gourmand. I'm in 💕

DontCallMeDaisy

This is the more elegant, mature version of Angel by Mugler. It’s better balanced and the notes perform in harmony so there is no blast of patchouli or cotton candy that distracts you from savoring the perfume as a whole. The top notes transition smoothly into the heart notes which transition smoothly into the base notes. If you are looking for an Angelesque perfume or something better, try this one. It’s very strong so a few spritzes is enough to have both great projection and sillage.

chygoodyear

A sweet cotton candy. I definetly get the blueberry and raspberry. Not cloying but lasts well and leaves a pleasant scent bubble. Not juvenile in any way.

Roos88dutch

I loved it . It’s reformulated and in different bottle now . Much more rose based not blueberry based anymore.

christinebyh

This is such a pretty sophisticated gourmand, and like others have pointed out, it is not a stronger version of the original. To my nose, it is a completely different scent, and I did not care for the original.

The opening is quite raspberry/bergamot heavy, but the dry down is beautiful - it feels like a soft hug of blueberry cotton candy with an undertone of white florals, grounded with sandalwood. The patchouli is barely there - I don't detect any earthiness. It's not a girly scent at all. I could imagine a sophisticated yet playful woman wearing this perfume.

On me, this is more of a skin scent but I love that it's not loud. I feel like I have a little bubble of blueberry cotton candy around me. This could be my new signature scent.

Sully92

I love this one. It smells like blue cotton candy in the air. Up close I can pick up some musk in the base but not really much else. Definitely not an "intense" version of the original which I didn't like due to the licorice note. A little bit of tart fruit in the opening but only for a minute. I can't detect any patchouli in this which I'm fine with because I'm not the biggest lover of patchouli.

It may be a bit too juvenile for some people but I just hit my 30s and I love and wear this.
Performance is pretty good, lasts around 6 hours with moderate projection.

Cherry Bloom

I tried this one once and did not impress me. I do not understand at this moment why, how is this possible..i tried it in the evening again and in the morning my wrist smells so sweet and cosy and beautiful. And it's a hot summer morning. I cannot imagine how this sweetness will be on colder weather. My my my...finally youtubers did it. Praised a worthy perfume hehe..i will have it asap in the biggest bottle there is. Just lovely!

Update: I did not change my mind and yes, I have my own bottle now. Big love for my newest member. welcome to the family! :x

likesleet

ironically this felt like a daytime version of the original. fruit was more central and the scent was lighter and more suitable for day-to-day wear. sweeter & more girly

Scorpeous

The second I sprayed this on a tester strip my husband exclaimed to me that he smells moldy bread. I immediately knew this was one I had to try on skin to get a good read after the comment he made.

In the end I get a cold blueberry scent on me. Nothing too special.

I’m glad I only got a sample of this one because it seams to be a bit much for the hubs!

UnearthlyApothecary

This one is STRONG! almost too much for me. I’m sure I’ll like it more after a few hours when it settles down. What it kinda reminds me of is Lanvin Me with the dark blueberry/anise. considering how pricy this has become, I wouldn’t buy a bottle because I much prefer Lanvin Me. I feel like (aside from maybe Black Perfecto) the LPRN scents don’t reach the usual greatness that I expect from a Guerlain scent. Robe Intense is very artificial-sweet to the point of being overwhelming for me with too much synthetic sticky Cotton Candy and musk. Very heavy on the patchouli too so keep that on mind, I’m a fan of the stuff so it’s actually one of the more appealing aspects of this one for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love sticky sweet gourmands but this one is just a little heavy/overwhelming. If you’re looking for a gourmand silage bomb, this is it! Very long lasting.

ScentedNorms

I really get the cotton candy in this one and I love it. So pretty and feminine. :)

*loves_shoes*

(Disclaimer, I currently have covid so this could be affecting my smell. I will retest and update once I’m well again).

I have no idea why anyone would consider this very sweet, so sweet it’s specifically for the North American market? I guess 2016 was before the current trend of sweeter than sweet niche fragrances, as to me this just smells very traditionally feminine sweet, not sickly sweet or sugary sweet or even gourmand sweet.

Sweet, fruity floral, but more floral than fruity during the opening.
Im hoping it gets more gourmand in the dry down as currently it just smells like a regular nice, good quality, blended generic white floral perfume. That’s not to say I don’t like it, it’s lovely, but I already have loads on my shelf.

margograce

I don't really know what is going on here. When I saw the notes, I was thinking "This is it! This is gonna be my new signature scent!" I love sweet, cotton candy, fruity fragrances and LPRN Intense sounded soooo good. I blind bought it (I never learn), I was sooo excited, I sprayed it on my skin, I was overwhelmed by the sweet berry scent and then.... it was gone. I sprayed again, just to make sure, I went to work but after 10 minutes it was completely gone.
I know myself and I know, that i cannot smell my own perfume after some time, so I gave it another chance and wore it the next day again. My friend came over and asked me, to show him my new perfume. I put it on 30 mins ago... He said he smelled absolutely nothing. We tested it on my wrist again, in the first 10 mins we both smelled it, after that it was so weak, that it was almost completely gone again.
I really don't know how this works on other people, I wish it would work for me. It's hard for me to understand, how so many people here can talk about a great Longevity, but maybe LPRN Intense is just not working with my skin. I will give it another chance in summer, when it's warm outside, but if I will experience the same then, I will try to sell it. Biggest disappointment I've ever experienced with a perfume. :(

December97

So this was a blind buy I got around December time. This fragrance particularly intrigued me due to the gorgeous bottle and the delicious sounding notes. This perfume has grown on me a lot and become one of my favourites to wear in cold weather.

At first sniff I wasn't sure if I liked it or not.Its not that I didn't like it,it just surprised me and I wasn't sure.I think it's because I didn't know what to expect. I found it a very grown up sweet blueberry patchouli fragrance with the Guerlain element of rose, bergamot and patchouli found in the original la petite robe noire flanker. For some reason it reminded me a little of Chloe Nomad. I think it must be the patchouli or bergmot.

In really cold, windy weather this smells absolutely fantastic.Seriously.I think many people don't give this flanker a chance due to it being patchouli heavy and miles different from the original flanker. In cold weather it brings out the sweetness of the blueberries and cotton candy and the patchouli takes a backseat. The cotton candy notes smells like authentic spun sugar NOT like the burnt cotton candy note in Pink Sugar which I do not like. La petite robe noire intense does not smell like Pink Sugar.

I'm glad they used blueberries as a note in this perfume as it creates a breezy, sweet lightness to the fragrance. It is quite a cold fragrance but can be cosy.

I would not over spray as this fragrance lasts long and is strong because of the patchouli.A little goes a long way and it may be cloying if sprayed too much. I also think this fragrance is better in wintertime as it being paired with the wind creates an amazing, sweet scent trail .

Mariamaija Amélie

I love this! La Petite Robe Noire Intense edp to my nose and on my skin is a caramelly, slightly lactonic, blueberry heaven (there are other berries, but blueberry is what I detect the most), with some dewy, gorgeous flower petals thrown in there. So sweet, fruity, feminine, inviting and delicious - almost gourmand, I think. And the beautiful bottle is such a joy to look at, that I am a bit sad, that I keep all my bottles in a cool, dark closet, even though it makes sense considering the amount of perfumes I have comfort purchased during this long period of Covid depression. But! I can enjoy the sight of this every time I open said closet, which I do very often :)

kosmisklatte

I blind bought this, since I was intrigued by the blueberry and cotton candy notes. It's not exactly what I expected, but it's a pleasant scent, and I'm happy to have it in my collection. I expected a sweet winter fragrance, but to me, this smells like drinking blueberry cider at a terrace during the first days of the spring. It's soft, and decidedly feminine, but with a masculine twist due to the sandalwood. My first impression was that it smelled like a perfume from Chanel, and I can see the comparison to Coco Mademoiselle. I'm looking forward to wearing it!

RubyRedCancer

I get straight up blueberry with this one. My husband said I smelled like frozen blueberries. It does have a "cold" feel to it. There's a punch of sour with it (raspberry and bergamot, I suppose) that makes you feel like you're eating a bowl of frozen blueberries with a lemon squeezed on top. It's quite nice. I'm getting a bit of woodiness, not too much patchouli, if at all. The floral is more in the background, but the rose is a bit more prominent and goes so well with the blueberries.

I tried this a year ago from the same bottle and I just got licorice and smoky nonsense (which those aren't in any of the notes). I hated it. I'm so shocked after letting this sit for a year how wonderful it smells.

As this dries down a bit more, I'm getting some wafts of vanilla. Divine!

agnieszka.scislowska

Blind buy. Omg! Sweet as hell, with a huge mount of patchouli. No! No berries, no cassis. Only migrene after.

jmarie92

Maybe my nose is broke but I don’t get cotton candy or blueberry from this AT ALL. It was a blind buy so I only have myself to blame, BUT all I get from this is a spicy patchouli bomb with background hints of sweetness (the vanilla maybe?) and it’s nothing liked I had hoped from reading the notes and the reviews.

ArrrDee

I sprayed this on a test strip, thought "meh", and forgot about it. About an hour later I came back into that room and I could smell this AMAZING, sweet cotton candy in the air.. It was coming from that same test strip. After that I realized what I was smelling up close wasn't like the projection. This one really is a beauty.

Edit: If you hate patchouli you probably won't like this.

SophieGlnd

It really does smell like blueberries and coton candy. The opening is rather fruity and zesty with the blueberry and bergamot, the coton candy brings a sort of dry sweetness. Its pleasant but quite linear as someone already mentioned in a previous review. Also I do not find it "intense" it's quite soft, I am not familiar with the original LPRN so I don't know how it compares. I had a sample, I won't buy a full bottle.

Mdrew99

I don’t know how I stumbled across this fragrance, but when I read the cotton candy and blueberry notes, I knew I had to have it. Talk about disappointing.

I was full on expecting a cotton candy blueberry bomb, but nothing. It’s a linear scent. What you spray is what you get. It smells nothing like cotton candy or blueberry! Nothing! You know what it smells like? Like when you walk into a Sephora or perfume store, and you smell that amalgamation of every single perfume sprayed. Just that cloud of mixed scents. That’s exactly what it smells like. I mean, it’s not bad. But disappointing when my gourmand self was expecting to smell like a jelly bean.

floszra

This is my favorite LPRN flanker. I don't like the original LPRN, nor Couture and Black Perfecto/BP Florale.
LPRN Intense is miles better to my nose, it doesn't have the annoying, synthetic cherry smell and it manages to be sweet and airy at the same time. Smells truly French though.

lyrily

OK second review for this one... It has hugely grown on me. I don't consider myself sensitive to fragrance, a lot of 'beast mode' PERFUME has left me underwhelmed. But omg this perfume is a BOMB. I cannot spray to front or back of the neck like I do with every other fragrance because it is too strong, and I don't become nose blind to it so it's constantly in my face! The scent trail is absolutely delicious though, coming from my wrist or inner elbow. Definitly a cold weather perfume, this will suffocate you otherwise. My 75ml will last me forever, because I only use max one spray at a time for this one

mangooo

I almost blind bought this one but thankfully I didn't. I was expecting this to be super sweet & warm because of the cotton candy & blueberry but was surprised because it's actually not that sweet. The opening is very strong, heavy on earthy notes of patchouli & sandalwood. I don't really get much blueberry or cotton candy. Once it dries down it warms up a lot and the cotton candy comes through. This is very strong, a little goes a long way. This is definitely better suited for winter. It's a little too strong for me so it's not for me. It's not very sweet at all to my nose and only slightly warm from the cotton candy so it actually feels like a unisex scent. It's definitely a unique scent - a grown cotton candy fragrance just not for me sadly. I sprayed this on a piece of paper and left it in my room and came back later and the room smelled amazing. I like the scent trail from this one but not wearing, it's much too strong. I think the only way I can wear this one comfortably is to spray this onto my back or the way bottom of my shirt.

VMonster

Got this in my ScentBox. It smelled familiar. I get cotton candy, blueberries, sugar, and patchouli. Dry down is a soft sandalwood vanilla base. This strikes me as a summertime perfume, contrary to a lot of the reviews and it’s status as an “intense” version of LPRN. Then I realized—I have this already! It’s Pacifica’s Himalayan Patchouli Berry. I side by side tested on paper and skin and they are incredibly similar. I’m glad I just tested this before buying a full bottle! It’s a really pretty, fruity, fresh scent with lots of sweet patchouli. It’s too fruity to be a gourmand IMO, and doesn’t have enough richness to be a fall or winter scent. Still—well done. But you can get Himalayan Patchouli Berry for like $20. You’re welcome!

xmikax

PS, I can’t stand patchouli, but I don’t smell it in this perfume. So maybe this is good for you if you don’t like patchouli!

xmikax

Okay, it’s been about 8 months since I first reviewed this perfume (which was the first time I ever wore it). Now that fall is ending and winter is starting, I thought I’d bust this bad boy out again and give it a try. I must say, I think this is bordering a love for me. My initial thoughts on this perfume was that it was more masculine than I thought it was going to be, considering “blueberry cotton candy” were the highlighted notes of this. And yes, it still does have that masculine edge, but the dry down of this has finally given me what I wanted… the blueberry cotton candy. It’s not very apparent, but I do get whiffs of it in my hair or when I shower after I wear this perfume, or even just now, when I was resting my head on my arm and smelling something warm, sweet, slightly spicy, fruity and all around pleasant… I thought maybe it was a perfume my mom sprayed on the sheets (visiting for Thanksgiving), but then… I smelled my inner elbow… it’s definitely LPRNI. But I only smell it when I don’t TRY to smell it. Isn’t that strange! It’s such a tease. Whenever I deliberately go in to smell this perfume, I don’t really smell it. But then it’ll surprise me at random moments, and I’ll get the beautiful whiffs that reel me in. I may have to go full bottle on this one. 🤭

ceeceelee

I bought a decant, but unfortunately this one goes very generic sweet fruitchuoli on me. I either like or love most of this line, so I'll keep trying with it.

Cmlake89

This is not an intolerable sweetness. I own Viva la Juicy and that is the sweetest perfume fragrance I have. This is not that bold. This fragrance is a clean sweet. Imagine a light blueberry champagne. That is what I'm getting. If you were going for blueberry pie or "eat me" blueberry, this isn't it. I smelled Petitie Robe noire while sampling my new Mon guerlain and I believe Petite Robe Noire to be fresher and less warm-sweet like mon guerlain (for same fragrance house reference). After drydown it smells like fine linen washed with blueberry and jasmine.

Ella7712

I like the opening with the blueberry and cotton candy but something in the drydown bothers me, I'm fairly certain it's the patchouli. I have to stop blindbuying 😄

SailorCupcake

My signature is the LPRN EDP og, so I was super excited to try this (especially since my boyfriend doesn't love cherry fragrances). I got a great deal on Mercari for a 3.3 oz bottle.

Well..... I think I'm going to sell it. This isn't a bad perfume at all. In fact, I loved the opening! Fruity, soft, and sweet. Very sophisticated! But the dry down.... the dry down smelled of my grandma, whose signature fragrance is Guerlain's Shalimar EDP. It smells good, but the association for me is a little too weird.

I don't smell blueberries, but more of a generic sweetness. If you can test this and not blind buy, I would!

Juspaigeme

This is a grown and sexy gourmand! It opens with sweet, syrupy berry cotton candy, zesty bergamot and some acidity from the rose. The dry down gets creamier and warmer with vanilla and sandalwood, it’s slightly musky and the patchouli gives it more depth making it more sophisticated and not just a childish sweet. If you normally stay away from patchouli don’t over look this one because of that, the patchouli isn’t a scary patchouli. This smells expensive and I love it!!! Performance is good, especially on clothing it lasts forever!

GreenMaple

This is a very pleasant, deep, sweet fruity fragrance in my opinion. I absolutely love it but I have to careful for it not to get too much. Would definitely recommend not wearing this one on hot days, it could easily get too heavy.
At first I was overwhelmed by the opening, but I very much like the drydown - I recommend giving it a little time before judging it.
Also in my opinion it smells like blueberry cotton candy and not like fresh blueberries and cotton candy individually, but that's not too much of a difference I guess.

Perfumepusher

Bought two bottles of this one recently. Absolutely gorgeous and a true blueberry scent.
It smells like a mix of blueberry/cotton candy (not a sweet sticky type of cotton candy, actually natural smelling sweetness from the blueberries) and the patchouli you find in Chanel’s Coco Noir. Still it’s very own perfume. I really like it, it grows more beautiful every time i wear it, so i might end up loving it. Only downside is longevity, it does not last on me more than 3 hours. Maybe i am anosmic to it cause my boyfriend seems to catch lovely wiffs now and then.
Dont blind buy cause this little Black dress don’t suit everyone.

SarahKatrina

I am enjoying this fragrance. Upon spraying, one can get a very well blended set of top notes but the blueberry and bergamot give this an unexpected freshness. The rose, musk, and vanilla are the standouts for me at the middle and base. Overall, of course raspberry is what dictates the sweet vibe of this. But I love all the other unexpected notes. Would love to try the other ones from this line.

amelia.g

VERY fruity fragrance. All I get are sweet berries with a very clean patchouli base - I really can't distinguish any of the floral notes and I have to disagree with the reviewers who claim this is a patchouli bomb of sorts; both on my skin and on clothing the predominant smell is definitely berryish, with patchouli giving it just the faintest smoky finish. For what it's worth, I also don't find it particularly intense - it can easily turn into a daytime or office friendly fragrance if moderately applied.

I think it's a good starting perfume for young girls who are just getting into fragrance and want something with a bit more presence than your average sparkly fruity floral. For comparison purposes, this feels like the younger sister of Armani Sí Intense (old formulation in the black bottle), minus the liqueur booziness and less patchouli heavy.

It has low sillage and very poor longevity on my skin (gone after 2 hours), which is a problem I've experienced with every single fragrance in the La Petite Robe Noire line.

who.am.i.you

Okay, I wore this the other day and saw someone compared this to Sofia, and that's what I started to smell! Add a touch of Guerlain's signature vanilla, and that's what it smells like (to me)! I totally get that on a basic level. This is more sophisticated and less woody than Sofia to my nose, but the overall composition is very similar. I think it's the cassis and berry combo with the vanilla sandalwood base that make them similar. La Petite Robe Noire Intense is a bit more unique because of that jammy green musky blueberry (that's at least how blueberry smells to me), and this lasts soooo much longer on me, and is generally a long-lasting scent on my skin. Patchouli is strong in this one and the cotton candy dissipates kind of quickly. I don't know if it's a mental thing, but when I first spray this, I get blueberry cotton candy very strongly, and it may be because of the color of the bottle. It does smell sweeter out of the nozzle compared to when it settles down, but I do get wafts of blueberry even after it settles down from the cotton candy sweetness. It is the blueberry note that drew me into this scent after all.

To kind of make up for the dissipating cotton candy note, I tried it out with an oil that has cotton candy as a predominant note, and it worked so well together, kind of keeping it at the beginning stages while also experiencing the joy of the long-lasting dry-down :D.

margoess

Do you love patchouli? If you do, you're in luck, because this has it in spades! Definitely not what I had been expecting from reviews I'd watched, where people were saying it was this extremely sweet, delicious blueberry-cotton candy scent. Not for my nose. When I spray this on, the very first thing I think of is CANDLES. Scented candles or maybe soap—kind of like walking over to a "berry" section of a BBW where you're getting wafts of all the tester gels and lotions and candles and room sprays. Really more soapy than sweet or berrylike. And then after a bit, patchouli. Just... patchouli patchouli patchouli. There could be interesting and sophisticated things happening with the other notes—but I wouldn't know. For me, the patchouli is just at a volume that drowns anything else out. It's a shame, because sweet blueberries and cotton candy done in Guerlain style sounded really fun!

danielle.crump

@ Gildedlilly I thought I was crazy when I smelled this and got SOFIA out of it! I see I'm not the only one.

Gildedlilly

Sooo well blended for this fruitchuli lover but I already have Sofia which is just too similar albeit not nearly as smooth and expensive smelling. If I ever run out of my 3.4 oz Sofia I would consider upgrading to La Petite robe noire. It may be several years!

Kellergirl

I don't get any cotton candy from this. I think there's just too many notes in here, and it makes it a bit difficult to pinpoint the actual notes. It is nice though. It is really sweet, so if you don't like super sweet scents, stay away from this!

eaudemale

What's not to love from this: sweet warm blueberry jam over the base of Coco Mademoiselle and La Vie est Belle very sexy, youthful and long lasting. It can even be unisex for the daring individuals. There's really not much more to say here. 9/10

Laralaritaaa

Definitely not was I was expecting by looking at the notes. The opening literally smells like men’s aftershave. The patchouli on here is extremely masculine and invasive, also has a subdued “menthol” effect. The 2nd note I can perceive is the blueberry, is not sweet, on the opposite is a very sour blueberry. One or two hours later the cotton candy (blueberry flavor) appears and it does get sweeter, but it never takes the spotlight since it’s always the patchouli leading the frag. Longevity and projection are both amazing, longer than 10+ hours on skin plus days on clothing. Gave it to my boyfriend who actually enjoys this frag.

Nraveles

DEFINITELY not as sweet as I was expecting. Was expecting a cloyingly sweet cavity scent (I love those) but this is a lot more subdued. Smells very much like sweet incense sticks honestly. I love it!

Meme7

the first hour of this is not for me, as the pathouli is a little too strong. But the dry down is amazing and lasts a good few hours

writekatewrite

Unique among fruitchouli perfumes due to the blueberry. Very well blended and hard to differentiate most of the notes, but the blueberry is the star. I realized after I put this on today that I was wearing a blue shirt and had a blueberry sparkling water to drink, and I think I may actually be turning into a blueberry now. Lasts 12+ hours on me.

Science&Scents

I was kind of resistant to this one because of all the hype but it is really delicious! Maybe not so gourmand as I had anticipated since, as others have mentioned, there is a fresh quality to it. It has a similar quality to D&G The Only One Intense--I could see wearing this out for warm evenings but I don't really see this being exclusively for winter evenings. I get more white florals than rose which gives it a solar quality to my nose. Plus, cotton candy reminds me of summer so that could be my personal scent memory categorizing LPRNI as a warm weather frag.

I don't find any masculinity to this nor do I find it exceedingly similar to the frags listed under "people who like this also like..." However, I do find a similarity to Sofia Vergara: sweet but fresh and more grown up but not classically mature, if that makes sense. And that has been compared to LVEB/CM.

I've noticed with the LPRN line that every frag in this line has a lightness that makes them really versatile and easy to wear. Black perfecto isn't even as heavy as people tend to make it out to be. Just an interesting note I thought I'd add here.

Sampled first and now have a 100mL bottle. Lasts beautifully 7-8hrs but sits close to the skin; sillage is incredible though. LOVE.

lyka

l'avais acheté pensant retrouver la cerise mais il n'en est rien, parfum portant une certaine fraicheur, pas aussi sucré que la petite robe noire basique, je ne le rachèterai pas, même si il sent bon

Cherrylipgloss

It’s a little sweet and I definitely smell the berries but it’s just WAY too sharp, harsh and synthetic smelling.... It smells feminine from afar but kind of masculine up close, if it were sweeter it would definitely make the scent less harsh. I probably won’t use it often. It’s not too bad, I’ve gotten a few compliments while wearing it.

katheryne_art

I agree with @xmikax review! It definitely smells unisex to me too, which I am not a fan of, I wish it was more natural smelling and a little bit sweeter. It also reminds me a little bit of that sharp opening from Black Opium, which I don't like too. It's not a bad perfume overall. If you like Black Opium and many other designer perfumes then you might like this one as well.

xmikax

I’ll probably have to update this review since this is the first day I’m wearing this perfume at the start of spring. It’s almost 70° today. Anyways, to me this smells unisex. It has this sharp green, man-soap smell to it. It’s not bad or overwhelming, though. But to me, this isn’t sweet. Maybe it is a very little but, but to me, this is mostly man-soap smelling. Clean with a little sharp cologne soapiness. Keep in mind, this is basically a first impression for me. I haven’t even given this 30 minutes if wear, nor have I worn it in other seasons. I’ll be back to update my review!

Edit:

Cherrylipgloss made a valid point. I sprayed this on a friend today as she needed a pick-me-up at a bar we were at. This was what I had in my purse. On her, it smelled sweet— from a distance. Then I went up close to her chest to smell and it smelled how it does on me when I wear it. Don’t get me wrong, I DO like it though! It might even be full-bottle worthy. It’s different forsure. Definitely a unisex scent though and VERY subtly sweet. Definitely isn’t a winter perfume in my opinion, though. Not sure why the youtubers said it was a sweet winter perfume lol. It’s not a warm scent— it’s cold, green, clean, a little masculine, a tad sweet, and probably best for spring and summer.

lyrily

I bought this perfume as an almost blind buy. I had a sample forever ago when it first came out, and recently saw a really good offer on a 75ml and since I don't remember hating it, I bought it - was totally drawn in by the GORGEOUS bottle. Well there is a note in this that I just don't get along with. To me, whatever it is, it smells sweet but not in a sugary or creamy way, but in a screechy, awful, synthetic way. It's a shame because if I pay attention, I can smell the blueberry, but it's hidden underneath. Maybe it's the raspberry or cotton candy, or just the specific combination of notes in the fragrance. I also see what people mean, the opening smells like a generic mens shower gel, too, and that opening lasts hours! This fragrance lasts a lifetime on my skin, I can use one spray before bed and wake up still smelling it very strongly on the skin over 12 hours later. Which would be amazing, if only I loved the smell! I will be selling this one...

Edit: it's growing on me. If I spray on my upper body its just too much, but if I spray behind the knee, the scent is actually pretty intoxicating. Lasts forever, too. Maybe this is just a case of this perfume being too strong.

aspirina

Thick syrupy scent. Blueberry cotton candy, whipped cream, patchouli, vanilla...I almost can't detect the floral notes, the fruitchuly cloud is just too..intense :)
Long lasting, this a very grown up pink sugar, it reminds me of LVEB but way more wearable and refined. LVEB can suffocate me easily, LPRNI doesn't.
I love the blue bottle.

Chr_23

Delicious, mouthwatering scent! The first time I opened the box of the bottle the fragrance hit me and it just made me smile. It is definitely sweet, however I would call it juicy instead of syrupy. It is pretty linear and the sillage at the opening is very strong, although the scent sits closer to the skin after the dry down. It feels flirty and happy but not in a girly way, I would rather describe it as playfully sexy. The dominant note here is the blueberry and behind it there is a well done blend of other notes to support it. I often try on perfumes with strong berry notes that have a fake, plastic vibe (strawberry/raspberry) or smell too sour (blackcurrant), but in this case the berries smell exactly like a sugary juice with a lot more depth. The base notes give it a bit of a darker vibe after a few hours as the fruity notes become more mellow. Overall, the quality of the scent is as expected for a Guerlain, but this type of fragrance is not for everyone.

clintjr82

Wasnt what I expected when I sampled this to see If I would buy for woman, Its too cloying and muddled up. Too bad I had high hopes for the blueberry and cotton candy in it.

Joani_Cheddar

Blueberry, raspberry, vanilla, patchouli - that is this wonderful skip to my lou fragrance. This fragrance reminds me of a smiley face. When I put this on I feel young, happy, playful and I smell awesome, like a Welch's juice popsicle - more importantly I smile. This is the grown up version of a fruit goodness perfume - like Toffifay was to candy chocolate bars.

Natalia91

I love, love, love this perfume. Initially I went to buy Lancome La vie est belle, however, the sales advisor showed me this one and I was so confused. I thought La vie est belle is my fragrance. So I went back home to think about the both fragrances. At some point I realised I was obsessed with LPRN and I went back to buy it. Never regret the purchase. On my skin it last almost 12+ hours and it so fruity and sweet. Definitely my signature scent.

Palmer Eldritch

A 'La Petite Robe Noire' that I dislike? BLASPHAMY!
Well, I can't help but be honest. I'm a lover of all scents balsamic, sweet, syrupy. However...
I'll start with the pros for this one: 'Intense' is BY FAR the strongest in performance out of the LPRN line. It will last and project through the Siberian Winter.
Also this smells NOTHING like its sisters. It's a flanker, sure, but 'Intense' should have been released by itself.

Sadly, IMO Siberia is where it belongs (lol). The cotton candy and other sweet notes have a very heavy weight to them in this fragrance. Like, VERY heavy. Similar to 'Pink Sugar' but without the burnt note. Not syrupy! Actually I could even classify this as a Mugler fragrance if I didn't know it was Guerlain. There is also a herbal characteristic throughout the perfume lifecycle possibly stemming from the blueberry. I can't distinguish any other notes on my skin. It's heavy, dry and unbearably sweet, even for me.
(Yes I tried it at an official Guerlain kiosk)

This is a very much 'try before you buy' and 'YMMV' fragrance. Proceed with caution. :)

star~kitty

Charmante.

I received this enchanting lady for Christmas and I am enamored. One spray on my wrist and I could smell her aroma 9 hours later. She has the LPRN DNA but she’s sweeter, bluer and more intense. Love.

CallMeT__

I like this a lot. To my nose this is Blue Sugar, like pink sugar with blueberries and without the burnt notes. I have to agree with the reviewer below me who says this is a dry gourmand. I don’t find LPRNI syrupy at all, it’s sweet but not thick, yet full-bodied! The quality of this fragrance is obvious, it’s smooth with great lasting power and silage. I received so many compliments when I wore this, even as far as 8 hours after the initial wear. I’d say it’s a fun fragrance but also appropriate. I voted for Winter/Day/Night because the cold air brings out the sweetness of this and makes for cosy wear. I think it’s appropriate for all occasions, but my favourite way of wearing this is with a massive woollen scarf, UGG boots and cosy clothing. I might consider a repurchase after I run out. It’s a firm fave.

MCulpa

Such a delicious fragrance! Not my taste personally, but after trying it for the first time I can totally see it a s an amazing choice for someone who loves grourmand, sweet, sugary scents. It is an expensive, elegant blueberry soda.

alexandradaos

This is what I have been waiting for my whole life.

This is cherry and rum, this is fruits in liqueur, this is sinful chocolates filled with brandy, crunchy sugar and glace cherries. This is the best thing I've ever smelled. A combo of raspberry and rose is my most feared perfume-y nemesis, but everything in this is just so well constructed, blended and delivered that all I get is delicious, dark, elegant but sultry.

From the notes, you'd be tempted to think that this is just another teenage-y gourmand Flowerbombesque overpriced abomination, but you would be so, so wrong. Bow down everyone, this bottle is perfume genius - anything else I'd say would probably be oversimplistic and would fail to capture exactly how amazing this is.

I see this worn with a not too long but not too short skirt, very high heeled boots, stockings with suspenders, long flowing hair and lipstick.

StinkyTinky

I get an intensely sweet but realistic blueberry...(perhaps it’s being served with sugar or an agave syrup?) then the mint immediately steps in, dancing lightly on top of a light chocolate- I can only assume is the sandalwood and vanilla . The intermingling of all of these notes is giving me peppermint patty vibes!
Beautiful!

sdiannas

I really wanted to love this the top notes are right up my alley. All I can detect on my skin is the smokiness of this scent and a little bit of sweetness and that is about it. I can't even detect the blubbery T_T

Rozalina

LPRNI is interesting because it's the first blueberry perfume I've ever smelled, and I must say it's pretty realistic.

I almost blind-bought this: it's Guerlain, it's got cotton candy, what's not to love?

Honestly...I can't stand it. It comes across as extremely cloying and synthetic. A total ethyl maltol bomb, and I'm saying this as someone who wears all manner of girly, sugary concoctions. I'm actually very surprised people are describing this as elegant and sophisticated, it's nothing of the sort.

It's like the sticky, syrupy residue of melted cotton candy rather than a big cloud of fluffy floss.

oceanbreeze

Having read some reviews here I am puzzled. Am I the only one who detects smoke/incense in this fragrance? I used it only on my clothes. I got just a sample. The first time I sprayed it I liked it, but the smokiness bothered me - I hate smoke of any kind. However, the more I used it, the more I liked it. It's very addictive. Now I want the biggest bottle of this mysterious fragrance. This "potion" is sooooo beautiful and I believe it's the most beautiful in the cold. I smell so many lovely aromas in it - it's multifaceted. I used a sample of LPRN and did not care much about it.

crystalplanet0013

This might sound weird. But from 2016 when I first tested this, til now, (I bought it a few weeks ago because I found an amazing deal) when I first spray this ALL I can smell is still the same: Coca-cola flavoured lollipop. I don't know if anyone has tried these, they used to be a thing during my childhood in the place I live. I swear this perfume has the exact same smell as when I used to open one of those lollipops (I never saw them again anywhere, in that case I wish I could buy them and show you how similar they actually smell lol) I guess it may be the combination of the intense sugar from the cotton candy and the blueberry. Tbh, I was never a big fan of those lollipops, but I wasn't totally repelled either. Savoring them was just a really strange but interesting experience, and I feel something along the same lines with LPRN Intense (with the whole line really, but now I'll focus here)

For me, this perfume is, in some way, bizarre. I have to say it is in fact one of those weird fragrances, where you don't get at first sniff what it's "trying to say" (for some it may feel like "too many things", as said below) but it eventually grows on you and I think it develops something enchanted-like, sort of potion-esque vibe. I like it because it evokes some kind of mistery (not in a sensual way) and I feel it's pretty unique. But I don't think I'll grab it that often just because of that same reason. In a way, I find it captivating, but still strange. I'm not sure if it gets to be "alluring", or even quite the opposite, as I agree that it feels a bit masculine. So I guess it's just one of those perfumes you'll feel called to wear on the specific right occasions.

I can imagine this on a bold, lively, empowered but at the same time innocent woman, that holds some peculiarity/paradox in her. For now, I'm just thrilled to add another Guerlain to my collection. Test before you buy unless you like risk!

BombshellBanshee

If only they had kept cherry, I'd be married to this one. That cherry creamy rose is what keeps me devoted to LPRN. I like the berry notes they went with, it's still a beautifully done classy gourmand. I just prefer the delicate cherry over the cotton candy berry. Even though this is the "intense" LPRN, I imagine this as a bit of a "younger sister" to OG LPRN, which to me feels like the more sophisticated older sister of the two. Love both...just love the OG more.

kkaattjjeess

I'm a bit confused as of why would this be named LPRN intense, when it doesn't have much to do with the original let alone be an intense version of it?

That aside, it's a lovely perfume, the fruits stand out most to me (blueberry, raspberry and lime), I wouldn't have recognized the cotton candy note, even though there's undoubtedly some syrupy sweetness to it.

Good sillage and longevity, but I won't purchase this perfume, as nice as it is, something about it smells overly generic to me (again there's nothing terribly wrong with that!), not exactly sure which perfume(s) it reminds me of, if I ever manage to remember any, I will edit this review. The original LPRN is more outstanding to me personally, however this Intense version is also a decent well rounded and good quality perfume, I like it, but I don't love it.

Edit: Jokes on me, after claiming this is "overly generic", I couldn't think of any perfume it reminds me of, and ordered a 50ml bottle yesterday.

libella

This is absolutely one of my favorite perfumes and it is worthy of my first review!

In the opening, I get a blast of blueberries, and they stay with me throughout my whole experience with the perfume. I also get a bit of acidity and some rose. After a moment, I can pick up the raspberry and a lot of cotton candy.

This fragrance is undeniably very sweet, but not syrupy. It gets a bit more powdery in the drydown. After a few hours, the notes feel so well blended to me that I have a hard time identifying them individually, but if I try hard, I can still pick up the cotton candy, the sandalwood, a bit of patchouli, a touch of an atypical vanilla and a few blueberries.

To me, this is in the same league as Angel. Its excellent projection and longevity (I have been complimented by people that were standing at a reasonable distance, over ten hours after applying), its uniqueness (not that many blueberry fragrances on the market) and its versatility (the drier aspect of its sweetness allows me to wear it in all seasons) make it a signature worthy fragrance.

When I went back to my alma mater to attend a one-day seminar years after graduating, I asked myself what scent would suit the occasion, now that I am in the prime of my professional life. What scent would represent the evolution that took place? La petite robe noire intense is the perfume I chose : assertive, intense, with a bit of uniqueness at its core, and a touch of seduction and fun.

Margarita Birda

I own a full bottle. This perfume had so much potential in being awesome. Unfortunately the intense patchouli is destroying the outcome. Makes it generic, uninteresting, sour and cheap. I would replace it with cedar to give sandalwood a chance to shine!

SweetBriar

I like this- I do. I just feel like its missing something. It smells like a really great background of berries and musk but that seems to be all I smell. I wish there were a big blueberry on top here but no. It doesn't seem to project much either. Its good but meh-ish

bdragonfly12345

I just bought this, based on trying it in a store a few years ago and liking it, because I saw it for a really good price. I remember it as having a strong presence, and that it lasted for like 20 hours.

Sadly, I find that I can hardly smell my bottle, and it doesn't seem to last for very long. [EDIT: It turns out that I go (almost immediately) nose-blind to it. What I have taken to doing is to spray an article of clothing with it, because I can smell it on the cloth (sleeve, scarf, etc), especially if it's not too near to me.]

I think it's a really well-balanced fragrance, and none of the notes really jump out at me, although if I concentrate, I can pick out everything except the raspberry and rose. It's not too sweet (which is a surprise when cotton candy is one of the notes!), but very blueberry throughout. I am not a fan of the original LPRN and it's cherry note, so I find LPRNI a huge improvement! :) The rating I would give it (based on scent, longevity, originality, quality/price, versatility, and likelihood of me repurchasing it) would be 78.2/100.

I think this fragrance is only on the cusp of "feminine", and that a guy could pull this off, especially if he enjoyed fruity-gourmand scents.

*****UPDATE*****
It drives me crazy that I still go so anosmic to this!! HOWEVER, I decided yesterday that I would try it out on my actual body (instead of clothing), and sprayed my arms and back of my neck. An hour later, my husband came into the room, came within about four feet of me, and wryly commented how strong my perfume was!! Oops!! I feel I should warn people not to overspray, in case they have the same issue as me, and think it's not there when it's actually there AND projecting, and choking out everyone else in the space! ;)

Through trial and error, what I have discovered works best for me is to spray on the backs of my knees (if I am wearing shorts or a dress), or once on my solar plexus. That way, I can actually smell and enjoy it, and it's not too overwhelming! It works best for me further from my nose.

victoria.mei1992

After 5 hours patchouli is disappearing and it's more nice. Giving off the tuberose vibe. Similar patchouli scent to chanel coco mademoiselle, but only more sultry, night time version. Who likes that, might like this one.
After 20 hours still smelling on my wrist.

DebiL1211

I love this fragrance but....

(6 sprays for this review)

It opens with blueberries, raspberries, and cotton candy. The fragrance is very light and so the sweetness isn't that strong. At dry down I get vanilla and sandalwood.
Top notes last about 30 minutes and then the last 1 1/2 hours is just the base of vanilla and sandalwood. Not very long lasting on my skin which is strange because most fragrances last at least 4 or more hours.

I will not repurchase this fragrance. While I really love it, I think there are longer lasting fragrances out there that smell just as nice.

girldeadbug

I’m not sure how much a 100 mL is going for but this is such a dupe for Signorina Misteriosa! It’s mildly different but honestly you would never need both. Misteriosa is dark berries and whipped cream. It’s a step down in sweetness to Aquolina Pink Sugar, and LPRN Intense is a step down in sweetness to Misteriosa.

Instead of the berries being like BAM like in Misteriosa, the blueberry and cotton candy notes blend seamlessly with the vanilla note. It’s a black and blue creamy swirl around your body. There is just a touch of white floral that Misteriosa doesn’t have, but even as a floral-hater, the amount is totally okay and the fragrance is good enough regardless.

agnieszka.scislowska

I tried this perfume for first time today. Omg. After so many good reviews I'm shocked actually. This smells strange. Strange enough not to like it. The first smell is blueberry and cotton candy and it is really nice and fluffy, fruity. Next step is found by my husband he smells incense and he was very near as it is sandalwood and patchouli, mixed with white flowers. I cannot accept this that way. Not my type of base notes. This patchouli with sandalwood, cannot stand it, hope will not have a migraine. I say NO.

This is so nice! I think this and the Black Perfecto are my favorite flankers. I am really starting to shy away from fruity-tooty, teenager-type scents, and the more I smell them, the more nauseated I become, but somehow Guerlain manages to make a fun, fruity scent which doesn't make me want to throw up haha. I just got the LVEB intense flanker because I thought the amped up iris would be amazing but it was tooth-achingly sweet and I got an immediate headache. This LPRN flanker starts with fresh, juicy blueberries and blueberry muffins topped with cotton candy, and settles into a vanillic patchouli almost reminiscent of I Love NY for Her by Bond No 9, but lighter. I also get a hint of carmelized sugar, like if you scraped the sugar off creme brulee. It's sweet but nowhere near headache-inducing. Just enough sweetness. I would by no means call this perfume "intense" as it is light on me, but I like that. I can see this being a fantastic summer scent, or really year round. It is easy to wear and can be purchased for a good price currently (although I have a feeling it's on its way out, so get it while you can!)

ekowala7

I am a unisex lover - but this is too weird of a mix of sweet, sweet gourmand and unisex musk. I want one or the other - I really don't think this works.

For reference, Black Perfecto is one of my favourite night out perfumes and I love the original LPRN - however, this one misses the mark for me.

And I'm shocked! I was fully expecting to love this, but it's too many things. There is sweet candy, blueberries, musk and then a really distinct perfume note. It want to love this, but for the price, not for me.

Longevity is 4-6 hours on my skin, which challenges current reviews. Silage is heavy, for sure - easy on the sprayer.

Overall 3/10 - I'm really disappointed in this flanker!

ajjava

Nearly identical to Coco Mademoiselle, in my opinion. I just got my sample and need to wear them side-by-side...but that's what I'm smelling as I sit here, with a spray on my wrist.

On my skin the rose note is more dominant (I do not like rose notes), followed by the sandalwood/patchouli/musk with a whisper of blueberry.

I wanted a somewhat boujee take on blueberry/cotton candy (Think Beyonce). Instead, I got a sophisticated take on those notes, which I should have expected from the house of Guerlain.(Think Michelle Obama)

I will give it another week to settle (another reviewer said that perfumes tend not to smell the same once they have traveled) or give it to my mother. Her skin seems to make any perfume smell good.

I would love to smell this on a man.

This was part of my blind buy shopping spree (the other scents included Michael Kors Midnight Shimmer Perfume and Azzaro Wanted Girl Perfume-I dislike all of them). No more blind buys for me. I will only purchase after getting samples.

For reference, I like vanilla, jasmine, musky, coconut water, nutty and creamy notes. I also tend to like almost anything that D&G puts out. My favorite perfumes are:

1)Moschino Gold
2) D & G The Only One
3) D & G Dolce Garden
4) D & G Light Blue
5) D & G L'Inperitice
6)Juliette Has a Gun MMM with Secret Genius
7)Girl of Now Forever with 7 virtues Vanilla Woods
8)Valentino Donna Acqua
9)Ariana Grande Cloud
10) Narciso Poudree
11) Prada Candy Kiss
12) Pink Sugar
13)Mancera Velvet Vanilla
14) Tom Ford Vanille Fatale(for men)
15) Tom Ford Oud Wood

Nataliemarie

To my nose this is Blueberry Cotton Candy La vie est belle! I also smell the reference to Chanel CCM too. (Both are sweet Patchoulis) Very nice! It was a blind buy for me & I am not disappointed. I sprayed one spray on my forearm & it is a powerhouse projecting from my arm hours later. This is saying something, b/c my skin eats perfume so fast, I generally don't get longevity unless I spray my clothes. If you are searching for a new sweet one to add to your collection, here she is!

92juanjavier

This is a very intense perfume, as its name indicates.
It smells like a fair thanks to cotton candy, but its strongest note is blueberry.
It is a very gourmand aroma as well as sophisticated.
It has a longevity of more than 10 hours and a very wide sillage, you will be noticed wherever you go.
Amazing creation!

me.and.mrs.jones

EW! This is so gross it smells like bug spray. Moments after it dries down, it becomes different and you can tell it’s fragrance but it starts to smell like an old mans cologne, from the past.... far far farrrrrr back in the past. Yes it smells a tiny bit sweet, but it smells so old and I don’t want to smell like an old man.

I really wanted to like this, I heard how sweet it was and I just knew it would be the one, but no! It actually smells better after you wash it off with water.

I just cannot get with Guerlain fragrances. They all smell so old, and I don’t wish to smell older than I am. This smells like a man who won’t let go of that cologne he loved from back when he was a “young buck”.

Ugh, just no!!! Please don’t blind buy this.

turkishgirl

smell too much masculine

Dakota22

Blind buy. I have 5 of the flankers and enjoy them all. Love how Mr. Wasser tweeks them just enough.... Least fav is Couture, too light, but pretty. Fraiche, Intense, Black Perfecto Florale, all are in my top 10 of all time. Sweet, pungent, long lasting and inexpensive. All were $32.00 per or less. I am a Guerlain girl.

Long review short,This is the female version of (Gentleman Givenchy EDP) the black bottle, wintery , complicated ,rich, for seductive ladies not for girls.

rainfairy

LPRN Intense
Starts strong similar to Brut vibe. At first I thought I wasn’t gonna like this bec it smells masculine, strong and almost gave me a headache. Then after 15 minutes it became sweet. I can smell the vanilla and sweet soft florals in the background. I don’t get the blueberry or marshmallow that some people describe, but this smells beautiful like Coco Mademoiselle type. Its musky, sweet, classy feminine, but can be unisex. I can smell a little bit of the cotton candy in the dry down. The jasmine and ylang ylang are just softly lingering in the background. Its a skin scent but when I walk, I can catch the scent in the air. Its very nice. I actually really like it but I have to get used to this very strong sugary vanilla. I think this is a cold weather night time scent. If you decide to wear this during the day, do 1 spray because if you spray too much, it can hurt your nose. Its intoxicatingly sweet. One hour later, the dry down reminds me of newly fresh ironed clothes which is clean, warmed sugar and I can’t stop smelling it because it gives me a comforting feeling. I sprayed it at 6:30pm. After 3hrs, I can still smell it on me. It turned powdery and lighter. The scent on my arm and wrist became a very light and softer skin scent. Its almost fading.

Edit @ 8:39am - After 15 hours, I can still smell this on me but more of a skin scent now and it has turned more masculine, powdery and very very light.

Scentflower

Guerlain perfumes have become a favorite of mine. I was beyond excited to receive this perfume. So much so I was like a kid checking the tracking number for when it would be delivered! I have to wear this fragrance more to have a full impression of it. As of now, I'm liking it. I definitely get cotton candy, vanilla and light musk in the background. I would describe this perfum as a sweet almost Pink Sugar like perfume but for grown ups. I'm totally ok with it. I'll have to wear it more to see if it's a permanent in my collection.

Edit: I've been wearing this for about 6hrs and the musk has came through more. Everytime I smell my wrist I pick up a mix of cotton candy and musk. Final decision, it's permanent in my collection.

jjoyce2

Think smelling blue cotton candy in the amusement park. This brought me memories of me begging my parents for cotton candy and eating it all the way home.

LPRN Intense has a fleeting blueberry note, and beautiful sugary cotton candy scent. The patchouli adds weight and after the course of the day, a classy powdery vanilla remains. For me, this is the most versatile LPRN. Black Perfecto edp is a masterpiece, but the full blast rose and cherry can overwhelm others around me. The original LPRN is heavy on the cherry, so I don’t wear it to work. However, this works for work, casual gatherings, and dates.

The word Intense is a bit misleading as it is not a more intense version of the original, but a different version of the same gourmand for classy young ladies. Projection is not loud at all, and longevity is so-so. I would wear this all seasons except for summer.

A.Lavieenrose

This is a strange little creature on my skin. I don't think I've ever come across a perfume that changes this much in the duration that I wear it. It starts out as sweet, scrumptious blueberry cotton candy dipped into fresh and zesty bergamot syrup. Simple and juvenile. Then as it warms up, it turns creamy and I start to get a bit of sandalwood and earthy patchouli coming through, grounding the fragrance and giving it depth. It actually starts to lose some of the childish sugarines, and it becomes so much more sophisticated to my nose. As it settles even more and the patchouli really comes out, it starts to smells almost a little masculine... like a woman wearing a sweet femimine berry fragrance that has been embraced by a man, and their colognes have mixed on her shirt. Then it changes again, and the sandalwood blooms! The sandalwood gives it a little bit of creamy sweetness again and it becomes smoky in a way. At this stage, it feels like a warm blueberry cotton candy flavored shisha smoked into cool, crisp air. It continues to settle, and it becomes mostly sandalwood. But then the strangest thing happens long after, and the dry down begins to remind me strongly of Coco Mademoiselle pure parfum! I swear it smells like a richer syrupy version of Coco Mad! Very surprising to me. Maybe it's my just my imagination, but I've asked friends to smell the dry down on my skin and they agree with me. Anyway, I love this blue genie! The performance is great too! It stays days in my hair even after 3 washes <3

In search of a 'sweet' scent I came across LPRNI. I love the cotton candy and cassis in this and am glad the cherries are missing :-) Tested it only 2 times and instantly bought a bottle. It will probably last me over 20 years since it is soooo strong! One spray is enough and I can easily detect it on my skin 20 hours after application. The base is lovely and cosy, love the vanilla in it. But I could not find this flanker on the Dutch Guerlain website...maybe it is being discontinued?

Edit: I received my full bottle (50ml) but it smells different. The cotton candy almost blocks out everything else. I can't detect any vanilla and the cassis appears the first 2 hours but is very shy before it leaves the stage again. The cotton candy feels like burned sugar. I also own Kenzo World Power and I would swear it contains that same sugary note, although no 'sugar' is listed for KWP. My bottle of LPRNI is still nice but the tester was more balanced and more fresh. I'm gonna check the batch codes (both tester and my bottle) and can see myself going on a hunt for a 2016-2017 bottle... (There we go again lol :-)!)

SailorV

The idea of a cotton candy fragrance is intriguing to me, but most of them are too cloying and one-dimensional for my taste.
La Petite Robe Noire Intense is perfect though. It blends the sweet cotton candy with a clean patchouli, the typical refined Guerlain vanilla, warm musk and super-juicy berries. They keep the perfume fresh and airy somehow, even though it's sweet and very intense with a high sillage. It is a girly perfume, but there is some darkness too it. Feels like walking over the fair in the evening, feeling flirty and having a few drinks, as opposed to going there in the daytime with your family.
This flanker doesn't have a lot in common with the original LPNR, except for the sweetness and the sparkly texture. No licorice or cherry here.
This brightens every dull winter day, I love it!

Venusta

This fragrance is very juicy and HEAVY. Any more than 2 sprays and people around me have actually commented on how I should go light on the trigger (even Alien doesn't do that to me!).

With a light hand this fragrance is quite classy. I predominantly smell blueberries, cassis, patchouli, vanilla, and musk. The cassis is a bit overwhelming the first hour and smells like oakmoss on my chemistry before settling. Definitely recommend test before purchase unless you love heavy musky juicy fragrances!

Monstrous sillage first 2 hours (then arm's length) and solid 8-9 hour longevity. A quality fragrance, but definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

Jacklyn's Perfumery

This is an amazing perfume but I do find the labeling a bit confusing because if your a collector of the original La Petite Robe Noir and your use to that scent you would think that the intense version is a more extreme version of the original. But this is a whole different fragrance. I say this because I wanted to own another bottle of LPRN but since I have so much of that scent I asked other fellow Fragrantican's which one is the most different out of the bunch and this was the one suggested. And you all were right. This should have been listed as a whole other flanker or original fragrance. It's a fresh gourmand fragrance. This may not be for everyone, but I actually like it and get familiar notes from even Coco Mademoiselle in here with that citrus freshness. It works in this fragrance and gives a impression of being youthful while being mature and classy at the same time. I like that.

You can smell the citrus bergamot mixed with the blueberries and musk giving it this refreshing airiness to it. It's also slightly powdery and floral at the same time. The sillage is really good and you can smell the fragrance past arm's length, and the longevity is about 5-8 hours with it lasting longer on clothes. If you love the original Chanel Coco Mademoiselle I highly suggest you give this fragrance a try. The bottle is beautiful with it being blue and using the iconic Guerlain bottles. Guerlain never disappoints in presentation. This can compare and be in the same family as the Dior Miss Dior line or Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Line with a twist of fruity gourmand accords to it. I enjoy owning it. You must love gourmands and louder fragrances to enjoy this so keep this in mind, but if you do love that in fragrances then you will enjoy this one.

RoseGrande

Does this smell like vape, cuz i'm starting to really dislike that smell.

Kendelem1999

I have been wanting to try this for years. Found a great deal so bought it blindly. I loooove sweet scents. In fact that’s all I wear. But unfortunately on me this turned cloying. I could not distinguish the berry nor the cotton candy per say just a general SWEET. I will put this away until winter to try again. I never give up that easily

Nancy83

It's a cotton candy bomb and I LOVE it! I remember how much my first wear traumatized me! The first blast was like being lock inside a cotton candy truck and slowly agonize. It's nuclear. People can smell it from other rooms I haven't been! Only one spray. The sillage start "big" then fade slowly throughout the day, the longevity is enormous, I could smell it days after on my bed pillows, bed sheets, on my clothes... I put a scarf when I shoveled snow in a storm last winter and weeks later I could still smell the perfume on it. It earns its Intense title, I didn't know what to think about it the first wear, but now I'm used to it.

After 1-4 hours it's a more wearable scent, but it started as a loud cotton candy smell cancelling all other notes, but the first blast lasts only a few minutes, then it gets more tolerable if you are into super sweet smell. It goes to sickly sweet to smoky super sweet fruity, a raspberry blueberry cotton candy vanilla scent, with woods and flowers in the far far background. This isn't the sour blueberry version to the original LPRN licorice sour cherry I was expected, but it's a good surprise.

I wouldn't wear this perfume in hot days outside, this is more a colder or rainy days fragrance. I'm not reaching for Intense often because of its initial power, it's not my cozier sweet perfume, but I'm glad I have it in my collection, it's fun to wear, I get a lot of compliments, I definitely would repurchase it. LPRN is my signature scent and since Intense is a success, I'm also thinking of trying other flankers.

pois

Modern Guerlain flankers are rarely to my taste. I tried this one because I was given a sample but I disliked it even more than I expected. It is a perfect example of why I do not like a lot of modern mass market releases. It is A LOT, intensely, of many things all at the same time, all crying for attention.

Nothing smells natural at all. I get cotton candy with berries and patchouli. And it is LOUD, very loud. Not my cup of tea at all.

delightme5

WoW ! When you really want bang - just put this on.
3 squirts only - if that please, if used on exposed skin areas.
Be careful, as it doesnt muck around. It delivers..
It offers of sorts a berry inclusive delicious desert. And its longevity is worthy. Thank goodness the deepening liquorice is not present here (it would drag the whole venture down). The mouth-watering freshness of blueberry saves the day for me.
Yes it is a little reminiscent of black opium (i cant say who does it better) and some others of this genre. SO, if this is your type of potion...dont think about it. Just get it. Put it on and out the door.

LisaMari

To my nose these notes don’t work well together. Theres a smokyness drowning out a citrusy inky rose and musky vanilla. It smells very mature and smoky. Headache inducing intense indeed

Jacquis

It is 78 degrees now and I am wearing La Petite Robe Intense. The blueberry cotton candy plus florals are up front. I am really enjoying it. There is actually a little freshness to it as well. The longevity is moderate after 4 sprays. The projection stays close. The bottle is beautiful and I might have to collect the others in this line. Will have to reapply after 5-6 hours. This works for me in Spring but it'll be a sweet treat in the summer evening as well.

EDIT: Today it's 96 degrees and this perfume is still very lovely. It has intensified to the point where I only need 2 sprays and it lasts 2 days and going (on clothes). It is still sweet but on the second day, I sense that there might be some molecular ingredient (ISO E?) that I never noticed before. Anyway, I can certainly enjoy this perfume all year round. Still one of my favorites.

Aqualyra

I love, LOVE, L-O-V-E the regular La Petite Robe Noires which smells great on me but this is *such* a disappointment.

All I get is straight up cotton candy with a laundry detergent chaser. Ick! No blueberry at all, nothing floral, zero patchouli. So for me, this is a hard pass.

Moderate silage, no clue about how long it will last.

I'm sure it smells just lovely and fantastic on someone but I don't want to smell like the zone in the carnival where you go for your sugar fix.

ismellsogood

This is really something special. I live in London.. from autumn to May our weather is up and down . Sunny bright days cold and windy gales. This fits perfect for these cool temperamental days.
It’s a sweetness than makes your mouth clap! I smell all the notes! A delicious blueberry candy floss! Wow!
It’s beautifuland longlasting. It does not smell medicinal to me, although I can trace the notes where it might for others who have said that it was for them.
So let’s start with a Hot fresh shower, followed by an application of light body cream, I’m wearing a cream oversized jumper and snug fitted leggings... cute bob cut, pastel cream manicure, crossover bag on our way to Greenwich park for our Sunday morning walk. This fragrance is a perfect accompaniment.
The winds blowing our scarves, scrunching our coats to keep them on and a brisk walk, pushing against the gales, warmed bodies and elevating the scent swirling trails of this gourmand bliss!...

gelkita

100% agree with JaneBluff below.
Also it smelled nicer @ Sephora when I sprayed it on my skin than now that I have been wearing it for a full week...

Pleasant but nothing more, still the best flanker of the La petite robe noire line...
Will not repurchase.

JaneBluff

I've had my bottle for awhile now and I wish I got the blueberry and cotton candy everyone else seems to be getting from it.

Every time I wear it I just smell a massive dose of cassis with vague sweetness and some light citrus notes. It's not bad and when I spray it in the air some of the other notes are a bit more present. It just doesn't work on my skin or clothes.

I love the way the bottle looks but it's not my favorite Guerlain.

Mbrock

I love this. I finally found a petite robe for me. I tried the original & couture. They smell nice. Couture is beautiful but neither have an sillage or longevity. Intense smells better than both of them & has good longevity & sillage. The blueberry, patchouli, cotton candy come together & make something I cant stop sniffing.

hexed

The raspberry stands out to me but it's not pure fruit, it feels almost smoky.
It's like a darker version of "girly", would've loved it when I was a vampire-loving teen.

ForrealMe2

Wow what a nice version of Guerlain...It's like a berry Miss Dior or Coco Mademoiselle...when you first spray this you smell instantly the fresh citrus with raspberry and musk which wasn't what I was expecting at first based off of the notes but wait and give this a bit because it's going to morph into something really feminine, gentle and nice..as it begins to dry down it begins to shift..and it shifts a lot this one all these notes that are in here. Next after those top notes you will smell the cotton candy and blueberry mixed with rose and jasmine to make it even more sweet with the citrus and you start feeling the fuzzy Guerlainade that I have smelled in Eau De Shalimar a little bit but it's not long lived just a shift from the mids to the lows..a fuzzy texture but not the extreme cherry fuzzy feeling you get out of the original LPRN we are use to or Lolita Lempicka or even in Hypnotic Poison EDP which i like I don't mind it if it's done right..it's minimal here though, but adds a slight texture and you can tell it's in the family of Guerlain perfumes at this point almost a slight champagne bubbly feel with the citrus and i don't really get vanilla here this really stays in the Chanel/Dior vibe and you do get some patchouli but its not overdone it stays true to the musk like it does in Miss Dior/Coco Mademoiselle..and i'm referencing it this way because you are going to see the similarities and I don't want you to have any surprises but really know what your buying..

What makes LPRN or Lempicka so different with the fuzziness is it has this airy hairspray kinda vibe..but this one doesn't..it's like the pure parfum version of the original but completely different..actually not even the same scent..no heavy airiness at all..just a feminine, sophisticated sweetness that is not so gourmand that it will knock you over because of the musk which makes it more mature..more watery working together with the rose.. but the sweetness is just enough to satisfy any gourmand sweet lover...this is a lovely, fruity, mature rendition for Guerlain..almost like a berry starburst like scent..the last time i got a vibe like this was with Nina Ricci La Paradise.. with that one being more sweeter but with the same concept..it's fruity, it's fresh, yet still manages to be fun while being sophisticated..if Mugler's Angel were used for evenings on a date..Le Petite Robe Noire Intense would be used for a fun daytime affair! It's light, sweet and refreshing to handle hotter days..just like in the realm Coco Mademoiselle or Miss Dior do. And oh, can we appreciate the pretty blue bottle for a moment? It's my favorite out of all the LPRN's besides the Eau Fraiche one when staying true to the original..but there are many other bottles in the collection that are just as beautiful if not more..but I only need one from this line..well maybe two if the Eau Fraiche is a nicer version of Chanel Eau Tendre like i've heard I maybe apt to get that one next..but i'm sure that's what the rest of us said after we all got the first Guerlain bottle LOL..If you have always wanted a berry Miss Dior or Coco Mademoiselle look no further..I like it!

louiee

Candy shop in the best possible way. Cotton candy, blueberries, vanilla and patchouli. I really love this little candy gem. At first sniff I was like...whaaat. But the second time around like mmm mmm...I want more...
Longevity and silage above average on me.
Well balanced gourmand scent
Cotton candy, fun, roller coaster, childlike...heaven for me.
Puts an instant smile on my face evertime I spray.

RoseSoul

In my head, this is how a perfume called Pink Sugar should smell like. It's a candy patchouli bomb on my skin. I can find some common points with LVEB, and the longevity is one of them. Compared with Black Perfecto, this one is quite addictive and delicious... My favorite so far is La Petite Robe Noir EDP. That one has a powdery feeling which I truly like!

mschnabel666

Sirimari78-- wear it! Wear what you like! xoxo

I'm an old, tall goth who loves uber sweet gourmands and really really old vintage perfumes, none of which suit "me"- haha! But I wear perfume for me. ;)

I'm somewhat conscious of how I smell in public, so I save my super old scents for home use/personal use.

I'm actually wearing this scent to work today!

ladyjm89

Blueberry syrup served over earthy, sweet-spicy musk. I don’t know why, but it works! This is absolutely delicious! The initial blast is almost too candylike, but the patch and woods quickly show up to the rescue and tame it all down into one delectable and seductive scent. Sillage and longevity are better than average, no means a ‘beast mode’ fragrance but it last 5-6 hours on me, the last two hours it’s primarily a skin scent. I wouldn’t say blind buy this, unless fruitchouli is your thing. It’s a keeper for me! It smells like a grownup version of BS Midnight Fantasy.

Scent: 9/10
Sillage: 5/10
Longevity: 7/10

sirimari78

I love this, but how can a blondie wear this beautie?

The blueberries, the sweetness without being naive or cloying, the dark notes... mmmmm... it is even fresh! But when I close my eyes, it smells nothing like a nordic woman. Wich I am. In deed. My eyes are blue, and I have freckles all around.

Personally I find this fragrance addictive.
On myself it flutters between syrupy sweet blueberries with whispers of cotton candy and something green and fresh - compliments of cassis, which surprisingly works incredibly well with this formula.
I was expecting something a little more, with the "intense" signature sitting on it - something like Guerlains Insolence, with its massive projection. However, the sillage is moderate and the longevity holds up to the price tag.
Sweet but not cloying, fresh but not completely green - this gem gets a 9/10 from me.

EDIT: My above review is based on a 30ml bottle. I have recently purchased a 100ml bottle and I am so surprised at how different they are! My bigger bottle is way less blueberries and a lot more cotton candy and musk.

Im on the verge with this perfume. I dont know whether to like it or hate it. I first sniff this in a department store and loved it but never got around to buying it until when i discovered it online for a very cheap price. It only arrived today and boy was the first sprit powerful. My dad said he could smell the thing from across the room. It opens with a extremely sharp note that i couldnt identify (whether it was the raspberry or the fairy floss i was smelling). Damn and it dries down into a incredibly sweet sugary raspberry scent. (Wayyy too sweet for my taste). I’ll give this a go tomorrow when i go to work to test out sillage and staying oower. Will let everyone know if i like it or not.

This is my first foray into the LPRN collection I was never tempted to try them never mind buy. I came across this flanker on You Tube one of my favourite reviewers was describing it not in a particularly good light but it triggered my interest. Blueberries, cotton candy, Patchouli all things I love the smell of. I hunted down a bottle from eBay bought it at a great price I am extremely happy :) the fragrance is a delicious gourmande the top notes are full of fresh fruit goodness the dry down is a beautiful gentle soft caress like a gentle kiss it lasts for a couple of hours on my skin but I don’t mind re spraying. I don’t think the bottle will last me long as I am enarmoured with this beauty. Another thing I find the drydown reminds me of candy here in the UK called Sugared Almonds it’s their fragrance obviously there is no Almond note in this fragrance. I would definitely give this a try I love it.

RJWinto

Lifts up my mood makes me feel glamorous.

Maddog7

Begins with a burst of fruity muskiness to my nose, sweet and very pretty.

The muskiness is very potent to me, and that part reminds me a little of RL Romance.

Becomes more fruity, sweet and the patch arrives.

I mean, it's very pretty to me and fruity-patchouli, which I do like, without being too heavy.

I'm not sure it's unique enough to justify a full bottle, but it is easy to wear in the best sense.

It's pretty and it's pleasing, and if you like fruity and sweet with musk and patch, I don't see how you would not like this.

If we have reasonable expectations of perfume, this is a winner.

violettecriminelle

A cozy sumptuous vanilla with resinous raspberry running through it. Been donning myself with this whilst 'the beast from the east' rages outside. It suits the Russian chill beautifully.

AnitaHendricks

I have mixed feelings about this perfume. The first few minutes are horrible when I spray it on. All I get is a aggressive mix of strong, rancid notes. After a while I start to smell blue berry notes, cassis and patchouli. It's okay by then. After a few hours I really start to like it. Vanilla and some cotton candy sweetness shows up. The perfume starts to turn warmer and sweeter. I felt especially exited about the cotton candy note but it's not very dominant at all. The patchouli, blueberry and vanilla notes are much stronger in my opinion. I wonder how this perfume works on other peoples skin!

PricklyAndHot

I love blueberry. Only this fragrance is toooooooooooo sweet. Like a tart.

candyfluff

I really love this one. It is sweet but the patchouli gives it a slight masculine edge which is very intriguing. It is not like anything else I have smelt so unique. I have felt tempted to do away with all my other perfumes and just have this one and Mon Guerlain which is also perfect.

Gellert77

This is one of those perfumes that just lasts and lasts and lasts... on clothing until you wash them (and even after that depending on the washing temperature and the washing product used ...) This is also the smallest bottle (30ml) of all the LPRNs (EDP, EDT, Couture, Black Perfecto and Intense) that I have, since a little sure goes a long way. I think now, in the northern hemisphere winter, is the best time to wear this fragfrance: the cold, cool air makes it sing and stops it from going cloying. It is a very sweet fragrance and doesn't have the strong cherry scent that is more or less prominent in all the other LPRNs. Yet after the initial sweet shock, LPRN Intense calms down to a quite a sophisticated take on blueberry and cotton candy. I especially love the bottle, a true beauty of a perfume bottle!

Ps: Very true indeed, Chanel's Chance EDP, is _far_ more masculine than this

CassandraAlexandra

I totally get why this can be called masculine - musk is quite pronounced here in the base.
LPRNI is one of a kind fragrance for sure. I bought a 15ml spray for purse and I wouldn't want to have anything larger than that - it is a 'like', but not 'love'.
I need to add that I like LPRN line in general, but sometimes they get too cloying on me because of syrupy cherry and licorice.
So, LPRNI starts with initial cotton candy, very sweet, almost edible, then I start feeling that masculine base (btw, Chanel Chance EDP is MUCH more masculine than this). Then I get blueberries. After half an hour on skin it is milky sweet blueberry yogurt, maybe with some patchouli.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend for a blind buy because it is quite unique, but it is nice for sure. Longevity is about 6h on my skin.

Update: gave it away, that milkiness+musk is just unbearable

raw umber

This really does have a sharp men’s cologne feeling in addition to the other elements which are reminiscent of the original. That bright and masculine almost aquatic element clashes with the rest of the scent and you’d never expect it from looking at the notes or trying the original.

Come to think of it, I get the same bizarre masculine accord from Guerlain’s My Insolence. My Insolence is all powdered sugar and raspberry drizzled violets and then wham! Some clashing men’s cologne comes out of nowhere and trips your nose into a disoriented state. Maybe it’s just a modern Guerlain fruity floral flanker thing. Okay I think this review really needs to be over now that I said fruity floral flanker.

To those above me comparing this to Chanel Chance edp, I really don’t see a resemblance between Chance and LPRNI and it may be true that Chance edp ( marketed to women) also contains masculine elements, but the *way* in which they are masculine is not the same. LPRNI smells like two perfumes mixed together, where as to my nose, Chance edp, masculine as it may be, is very harmonious and well blended.

The reason I feel compelled to talk about the presence of a strong masculine accord in LPRNI, is not to say that it’s objectively bad, but because the notes list does not account for it, and a lot of people (myself included) are often misled by that, expecting what they see to be ultimately what they get.

boannika

I didn't expect this at all. I really like the original, and somehow I presumed that I would like this one as well. I wanted to smell the blueberries, they are probably the only berry note I like in perfumes, but sadly I don't smell any. I thought it would be a flirty, blueberry scent, instead I got an overly strong, masculine perfume. I even considered giving this to my husband. I should have smelled it before buying, I never learn.

polkadot27

This perfume sounded like it would be a dream- Who wouldn't want to smell of blueberry, vanilla and cotton candy. I tested it the other day and it smelled very chemical and sour on my skin. Thankfully, it didn't last long on my skin- this is also disappointing considering it is Guerlain. I have had this on my want list for so long and was even tempted to blind buy as I couldn't find a tester anywhere. Anyway I am glad I didn't as this scent is crazily expensive, poor projection and longevity for the price, and doesn't smell like it says it does. It just didn't do it for me. I am dissapointed- I had such high hopes- I thought it would be a love at first sniff.

The bottle is beautiful! Why do I not get that beautiful blueberry, vanilla and cotton candy concoction that I had in mind? Seriously disappointing.

Soofiya

Finally it's there.sitting near it's sisters on my perfume shelf while choosing the most favorite one in this family is still a challenge for me.none of them are among my routin perfumes but I enjoy all of them and crave them sometimes.well I guess I can call this blue LPRN my favorite one.it's an intresting gourmandish fruitchouli.unique and complex
When first sprayed it's a mish mash of different notes and I find it kind of boozy, fuzzy and weird but in less than a minute it settles to this beautiful modern scent.intense and sweet and blueberry is big on my skin.it's all about syrupy sweet blueberry and some raspberry for couple of minutes which have some sort of tart freshness while bring syrupy sweet.it reminds me smoking a hubble bubble with blueberry flavoured tobacco mixed with grape tobacco.these are my most favorite tobaccos in hubble bubble and I used to smoke them a lot as a teenage so I enjoy the scent.I believe patchouli is the reason of it's slight smokey undertone.it's there but is not too much for me.as time passes vanilla, cotton candy and a light touch of florals showup and make me love this perfume even more.it's a little creamy-powdery-musky in drydown and I can also feel some sort of spices in it.a touch of licorique?myrrh? I just know that it's deliciously sexy, modern, cute.it has the same concept of numerous modern fruitchoulis yet has it's own specific scent which is easily recognisable among dozens of others.I'm also quite happy with it's longevity and sillage, though I wish it's strength calmed down a bit later.I also love the red guerlain lipstick that was inside my giftset of LPRN intense though I believe it's too sheer to match this scent
When I first checked it's notes list,I found it interesting for it's blueberry and cotton candy notes but I didn't want to blindbuy it as I wasn't sure whether these notes are easily detectable or not.on my skin, blueberry is easily detectable.now that I know it's there I can easily recognize cotton candy too but it's not as cotton candy dominant as say pink sugar

Oh, Guerlain. You're becoming my favorite house...

LPRN Intense has done what no other perfume ever did with me. 5 seconds of a whiff on my skin and it loves me, as I love it.

I remember trying the original LPRN and not caring for it. It was very pretty but totally forgettable. But this Intense version has the absolute depth I look for in perfumes. it is just gorgeous.

I received a decant of this beauty and My mom tried it before me. In her skin felt so weird, it smelled old, and even though she was in love, I was scared to try it. But I was wrong, and that is what I love about Guerlain.

Any Guerlain perfume is a master piece; it never smells the same on anyone! You make it your own.

amourdelarose

I'm disappointed that it lacks the sour fruitiness of actual blueberries and I think vanilla is to blame here. I normally adore both notes (separately I guess) but here they're awful together.

Adina Galani

It is sweet, yes, but in an incredibly noble way. It is a mature gourmand, as much as I was doubting when heard about it, I love it now, I really, really do. One of the most beautiful gourmand/spicy thing created in the 2000s perfume era.

kitsunemagic

Got a full 3.3 oz off of Amazon and boy is it worth every penny! It reminds me of blue cotton candy flavored tobbaco you use for a Hookah(I used to socially smoke from the hookah with friends as a late teen), LPRN intense smells Spicy,Smokey and super sweet! Great for Winter or at night!

ScarlettX

This is a strong, spicy and fruity scent.
I like how the top notes remind me of water pipe and other fragrances from this line.
This has a smoky aroma mixed with blueberries and raspberries. It's not overly sweet like scents with raspberries usually are.
I like it quite well, but I like the green one and the pink EDP one even better.
It's a fun fragrance, suitable for nights out.

gtabasso

I don't like fruity scents and love the Petite Robe Noir line! This one is all blueberry and vanilla in the top then quickly morphs into patch and musk. In the dry down the cotton candy is more present with the blueberry. The flowers, jasmine and orange blossom, definitely are there. I don't smell much beyond that.

Palmee

Smells so scrummy! On first spray I wasn't too sure, as I adore LPRN eau de parfum with the juicy cherries but I think this is up there with it. Fuzzy cotton candy which is sweet but in a sophisticated type of way. Juicy blueberries, patchouli and vanilla. Delicious! It reminds me of a grown up Midnight Fantasy. This juice is additive!

cake n' cuddles

This fragrance is everything I had been hoping for, although I did not imagine it as such a multi-faceted scent. I agree with a review below me that if you just looked at the notes you would think this basically just a blueberry cotton candy fragrance, I tried to vote to help balance out the main smells to my nose but there is only so much I can do.
First of all, the best bit is I smell sugary blueberries from start to finish. This is my favorite part of the fragrance, and it does not tease and fade away which I'm grateful for.
The rest of the fragrance though is an interesting two-part bit. On one hand I get a fresher side of the fragrance (perhaps bergamot and florals) there is something just a tiny bit masculine. It reminds me of a clean men's cologne, perhaps like Dior Homme cologne. On the other hand I get some spicyness and earthyness. The patchouli in here is not super clean like Jimmy Choo or Flowerbomb nor not as nearly as aggressive as Angel by Thierry. It's somewhere in between, a smooth patchouli with a little bite. The sandalwood and cassis contributes. Something about it reminds me of Christmas time. I also think of Blue Sugar by Aquolina a bit.

Overall the feeling I get from this fragrance is insatiable and addicting (from the blueberries), yet it's balanced and interesting. The association of Christmas makes it appealing for winter, but I would wear this anytime.

Michylaka

This little beauty puts some pep in my step. I am in love with LPRN (Cherry) and LPRN Couture (Raspberry) so this is another new love. I was not sure at first but she grew on me. Now it is a romance!

The Blueberries are amazing in this. They are there and in your face from start to finish. Not like a little girl type but more mature and edgy. The sweet Cotton Candy note is also prominent from the onset. The Vanilla kicks in after a few minutes and is just what one would expect of Guerlain's infamous Vanilla. Pure Gorgeousness!

I also detected the Patchouli which is light and pretty. The Raspberry is light as well. The Rose and other florals are most noticeable on the drydown as the main two stars (Blueberry and Cotton Candy) of this juice calm down.

LPRN Intense brings to my mind my friends house. She is constantly burning candles from somewhere that smell like Sweet Blueberry Tarts. At first spritz that is what immediately came to mind. Then it changed into a more elegant and complex scent that I will be wearing often this Spring.

The sillage is enourmous at first then it calms down to become moderate. The longevity is awesome. I was catching whiffs of it after bathing. Thank you and much love Thierry Wasser!

Madrona

Mm, yes. I love this. The darkness of literally every other LPRN is gone though, and I found that darkness very becoming in counterbalancing the delectable notes. This one goes all the way in terms of delectability, but I certainly don't find it to be an edible gourmand, nor is it as saccharine as the three highest-voted notes might make one fear. The patchouli and cassis leaf (normally one of my least favorite notes, but here I love it) make sure that this is the case. Juicy blueberry goodness. Mmm.

Soofiya

It's not a real review because my single test wasn't carefully done but that single test was enough for me to add it to my wishlist
To be honest I would buy it no matter I really like it or not.because I've collected all the other la petites available;edp, edt, couture and fraiche
This has nothing to do with the others although something in it makes me think that it makes sense that they had put it in this family
When first sprayed I could easily detect blueberry and this made me excited since I don't have any other perfume with this note(Lanvin me and bond no.9 love NYC for her are still far from my hands)but I couldn't pickup anything like cotton candy and this was dissapointing(I was looking for something like pink sugar plus blueberry)
I could smell sweet juicy blueberry and other berry type fruits and a soft whisper of Musky florals but after couple of minutes I could smell the cotton candy note and it was a relief.I like this cottoncandy-blueberrychouli and I find it very modern, unique and a must try for gourmand lovers.however as "for the love of perfume" said below it isn't as childish as my imaginations.it's very sweet but that soft whisper of Musky florals prevents it from becoming something foody or childlike.I think this is going to be my favorite in la petite family(edp was my favorite although it's the least wearable one for me)
It seems to be potent just like it's siblings
It's not safe for blindbuy

sail0rmars

At last I had the chance to test it.. So different from the first petite robe noire, this is much less synthetic. It's syrupy but seems much more balanced than it's "mother".When she was all about cherry, her daughter is all about blue fruit and candy. A nice perfume, that lasts quite a lot, and in the end goes to a sweet berry patchouli and sandalwood skinscent. In my opinion it doesn't project a lot, I would never call this a heavy perfume. The guerlain bottle is very beautiful and I like the colour blue!

For The Love of Perfume

I bought this one because I really love gourmand fragrances, and I am sooo glad I did!! This is not a "little girly" perfume, but rather more a dark, sultry, sweet, blueberry jam. With the musk, it gently tones down some of the sweetness but not all of it, and the rose, jasmine and orange blossom give it a soft floral touch. And it really lasts a long time....6+ hours.
I am very excited to have this in my collection. I am thinking about buying another bottle, because when I find a perfume I love....they discontinue it. It seems to be that way with a lot of fragrances.

mschnabel666

This isn't what I expected, but I see the LPRN-DNA now.

This is a smoky/spicy/patch dark blueberry-cotton-candy to me.

I blind bought a 100ml for a good price since I have all the LPRNoires and gourmands/foodie/sweeties are my faves.

I did expect a girlie Pink Sugar type, but this is still amazing!

VERY VERY POTENT! I used one spray on a tissue, and my whole office smelled like it. In a very delicious way, not overpowering or bad- and no one complained. But it's like blueberry potpourri instead of a sugary fluff of cotton candy.
Dried down to a fruity patchouli that reminds me of Oriens.

I love it tho! As sophisticated as wearing cotton candy can get. ;)

Jmalone84

This is classy and something a little on the mature side. I get the sweet fruity notes like pineapple syrup, the fresh raspberry, vanilla and a lovely powdery floral woodsy base.

I definitely prefer this over the original. None of the sour nutty sickliness. Thus is more refined to my nose. While it is strong and lasts all day I don't think a small spray of this could be misconstrued as offensive. Unlike its sickly big sister.

To me this actually smells like a much better quality version of Sofia by Sofia Vergara. Or I should say, Sofia is uncannily like this one. I tried this on my left wrist while the original was blasting sour cherries on my right. So this is definitely going down in my books as something to try again. I am looking for an alternative to Armani Si to wear on days where I feel like a sexy gourmandise fragrance. The only kicker is I am not sure if it is a tad on the mature side for me, or too similar to so many of the common gourmands on the market.

Would still highly recommend.

raiza1990

This one is dark and sweet. Mysterious but not too serious. It has a winter, Christmas, fairy tale vibe to it, but it isn't childish, it is mature without being dated or too conservative. It's not my cup of tea, but it is a good fragrance, a quality product. Try it if you're a fan of berries.

Zaleska

How can it be possible? To my nose, it smells like water and sugar.
A true disappointment.

ladenu

Oh this is sweet! It reminds me the memory of a warm vintage patisserie. Delicious!

Quendra

I just tried this today and it smells a little spicy on me.Does anyone know what I am smelling as it's notes are all on the sweet side.Anyway I love it and its very long lasting on me so far.I prefer it to the other editions which for me are much sweeter.Perhaps its my skin chemistry or something.I was very lucky as sales lady gave me two samples of it when I purchased a powder brush from Guerlain.

pearlbelle

Blueberry cotton candy! This is the most yummy of the four La Petite perfumes that I own, there's a little bit of sugary vanilla in the background of blueberry cotton candy. I am most definitely in love with this delicious fragrance!

Happyme2009

I love it, but I do need to say: this version is far LESS intensive than the original. Sure it has good lasting power, but the silage is minimal. For $160+tax , I was expecting more. But the Beauty Boutique at Shoppers didn't have a tester, they had a spend your points event, and I bought it with points. The bottle is gorgeous, typical Guerlain, the juice is blue. I hope it doesn't turn brown in time, like most blue perfumes. It's very fresh, bergamots, which I adore, predominate the opening. Cotton candy is the next strong note, while a patchouli with some vanilla combo is in the drydown. It's very lovely, quite simple, much less sophisticated or strong compared with the original, I don't know why it's called intense. But it's elegant, classy, youthful , and I love it. It has an airy feeling that makes you think of wind indeed, it's light, chic and carefree. According to my taste, the most wearable and pretty of the series, but I've only sampled 3 , and I know there are lots of flankers. Beautiful.

epicurean

Another flanker of a flanker of a flanker that bears no relation to the original, yay. This one should be renamed Jumped The Shark. LPRNI is an insanely sweet berry concoction, an expensive winter milkshake of a scent, made just in time to give me a headache if I'm next to anyone wearing it during the holiday season. There are cheaper gourmands out there that will do what LPRNI can do. Merry Berry Christmas and bah humbug!

socorrosouza

You are anosmic to some note on La Petite Robe Noire Intense, probably because there was a lot of it and your nose couldn't process it.Perhaps the cotton candy was too much for your nose, perhaps another note.Sometimes this anosmia lifts up with time and familiarity, sometimes it doesn't. Always test perfumes before buying and try to identify the note.

COSMICSCENTS

Hello everyone! I don´t know if I am losing my sense of smell but I tried it on my skin and on a blotter and I can't smell it. I wanted this perfume and it was the first one on my list of "I want" but I removed it after trying it. Maybe the bottle had water in it? I also tried the new My Burberry Black on my other arm and it was really strong and I can still smell it after washing my hands so it must not be my sense of smell after all- I am going to try it again for sure since I love La Petite Robe Noire line :)

beachesnbreezes

I just received this fragrance a few weeks ago but I wanted to wait and review it after I had tested it properly.I have now worn this three times in mild fall weather and this fragrance is absolutely beautiful for gourmand lovers. You can really smell all the notes in this however the one note that I can't really pick up on my skin is the rose. The cotton candy note is high quality and blended well with the typical guerlain creamy vanilla note. The blueberry is very noticable but its not a fresh blueberry it is a warm blueberry jam or sauce warming on a pan.I can't believe the people complaining about the longevity of this because on my dry skin this has amazing longevity.I spray once on the neck and once on the stomach and this lasts ALL day.The drydown is beautiful. The sandalwood vanilla and white musk is rather woody and heavy.I don't think I would wear this in the sunmer as it would be way to sweet but worn fall through spring is perfect.Cotton candy is one of my favorite smella but I wanted a grown up cotton candy and they git this one absolutely right in my humble opinion! This is creamy warm balsamic and woodsey with a whimsical dose of blueberry cotton candy woven through the composition.I would wear this out at night because its rather dressy and sophisticated. So if your like me and like class but have a whimsical eclectic streak as well def try this fragrance its high quality ingredients are smooth and utterly charming and classy! This is a strong love for me and the bottle is adorable. This is Parisienne perfume at its finest!

slavka.filipova

I wanted to like/love this but it is not my scent or the scent i had in my mind this will be. I just got a sample and i have to say it is not my thing. I liked La petite robe noir not my favorite too but i like it, and i expected else from this. I'm little disappointed. The lasting power is very good but the part i like is after staying 8 hours on my skin. Not going to buy it.

FabulouslyLazy

The opening smells like Guerlain's take on Aquolina Pink Sugar. The dry-down is the standard La Petite Robe Noire with loads of patchouli. I do understand the potential of this perfume, but honestly I could never wear it.

SHORT LIVED HERESY
_______________________________________________________

Since LPRN is one of my favourite fragrances, I was looking forward to smelling the new intense version.

2 weeks back, I got the chance. In the beginning everything seems like a bad joke, because it opens with cotton candy. Why bad joke? I consider the cherry-licorice combination of LPRN an original masterpiece. Having that in the back of my mind, I consider the bubble gum, cotton candy approach like heresy. It is somehow familiar, but compared with LPRN, this is like a distant cousin from the country side.

And it doesn't deserve the attribute 'intense' -> because it isn't intense. It lasts only around 3 hours and fades away afterwards. Quite disappointing.

Longetivity: - 3/10
Sillage: - 3/10

All in all: 1 out of 10 subjective points (because it doens't deserve the name LPRN)

Phantosmia Bella

Bought my bottle at the airport, which later on I found very appropriate.
The LPRN line has an addictive note to it, I swear.
Like drugs, you may find the initial experience weird or even harsh, yet give it another try and, voila, you're hooked. My first go at the original LPRN resulted in horror and heartbreak (scrubbing off a Guerlain? No way!), but after my second attempt (years later, I must admit), I ended up buying the entire range (yes, even LPRN Eau Fraiche, yum)!
LPRN Intense scared me a bit - an even sweeter scent? Surely I won't handle that.
Yet, even though it is, no doubt, extremely sweet (cotton candy? sure. Blueberries? you mean "sugared blueberries" a-la-bubblegum), it is also very well made. I must admit that I consider a well made sweet perfume a far more complicated and challenging creation than a chypre, for example, as you can go very very wrong with sweet scents.
LPRNI smells modern, sugary and even a bit loud, but it's a good perfume, and the dry down is lovely and pleasant, fruity and far more delicate.
This review started with me stating I got my LPRNI at the airport, and indeed, this perfume smells a bit like the scent of duty-free shops - sweet, happy, luxurious, free from the worries of everyday life.
So come on and don your LPRN, it's a joyous, carefree world out there.

LadyIva

I finally got a chance to test this scent properly, and it is very similar to the original LPRN, especially in the first few hours, however the drydown of the blue one is sweeter, with vanilla beautifully complementing the flowery heart. The blueberry and cotton candy notes are not entirely realistic, but they do not stand out as much as I had expected, so it's not too bad. In terms of projection and longevity, this is the best product from the LPRN series - I get 6+ hours from a single spritz. However, lately quite a few Guerlain scents that had started out very strong got watered down, so if you like this one better stock up on the 2016 batch.

auroramaria

I tested this properly today and it wasn't too hot outside. It is actually rather gorgeous, smells amazing, it's very sweet bt in a refined way.
The opening is fresh but it mellows out to a sweet warm and slightly powdery scent.
I'm so glad it works for me and I'm def gonna get a bottle asap

auroramaria

@Stephaniejanef Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I'll test Intense again in a few days cause I'm determined to know what it smells like and I so want to take home with me that beautiful blue bottle!

Stephaniejanef

Auroramaria, I too ran to a profumeria on Saturday to try this. I went to a Limoni shop. I was ready to buy it then I tested it and really was disappointed. All I could smell was a screechy metallic topnote. There was a sale going and I ended up buying this and 2 others, because I was determined to see what the fuss was about. The following day, I sprayed some on and went for a walk. That is when my perception of the juice changed. In the shop, there was no air. We were downstairs and it was stuffy. There was too much packed into that little room. When I went for my walk, it was a beautiful and breezy afternoon and the blue stuff warmed and lifted into a scrumptious cloud that floated around me. I was pushing my pram, sniffing the air and smiling with satisfaction. Yum.

Daria_21

I blind bought this just this past weekend - my first Guerlain purchase, although I have sampled many. I love gourmand, sweet perfumes that pack a punch, so when I saw that this was the intense version and had positive votes for sillage, along with blueberry, cotton candy and vanilla accords, I thought for sure that it was going to be an instant winner.

I'm not really sure how I feel about it. On me, the projection is soft to moderate, and the longevity is also moderate. It's strong for the first 15 minutes after spraying, but very quickly develops into a skin scent. I definitely don't smell any blueberries whatsoever. On my skin, it's an airy, fizzy, sweet, almost soapy scent that smells expensive - very Guerlain, as the Guerlinades would say. I get occasional wafts throughout the day. Definitely not cloying or sugary, syrupy sweet. The airy, fizzy part of it - that aspect of the perfume, I really like. I can't quite describe it, but the fragrance really is airy, and almost has a fizz-like feel and smell to it.

I don't know. I like it, but don't love it, and probably won't repurchase when my bottle is done. It doesn't excite me like some of my other fragrances do, and I'm not sure how often I'll reach for it. It's more of an every day scent to me - nice, but nothing groundbreaking. I think this would be well suited to somebody who wants a quality, sweet, subtle fragrance suitable for every day wear. Would work well in an office. I think, though, for somebody who is expecting an "intense" fragrance, they will be disappointed.

You are just anosmic to it. Over time you can begin to feel it but it is doubtful. Don't buy it now, wait some months and try it again. I thought Sun, Moon, Stars was the fleetingest scent ever, because it was just so yummy ands after 3/4 minutes...nothing.But it was the tuberose note that does not agree with my skin. Also peach has the same ill effect, so I must refrain to buy tuberose or peaches scents. Try to think if it ever happened to you before, and if it did which notes the other perfume has in common with this, as to reach an understanding about notes that don't agree with you.

I went to test Intense last Saturday at Douglas Stores here in Italy, I was ready to buy a bottle on the spot because I thougt I was going to love it but something bizarre happened. The sales assistant sprayed some on the back of my hand and..NOTHING! I could only smell a very faint hint of sweetness no blueberries, no cotton candy nothing !!I told the SA but she said it would blooom when it warmed on my skin, but I went home and still nothing.I was so frustrated that on Sunday morning I went into another Douglas store to try it again and well the same thing happened and it's very weird because even the cheapest of fragrances would smell of something nd this is a Guerlain and Intense version.
Maybe both testers were bad but it 's a new product and testers were new.
I will probably end up buying a small bottle just to see if I can get the real aroma in the meantime please share if this has happened to you too

Well just tried this an hour ago. Sweet-yes. But in elegant way. i like this much better than Lancome Le vie est belle
Seems this one spray on the neck will last till next shower.

As per "gugute" review, if Guerlain is gearing this to the North American market, then why are they only apparently marketing it in Europe? I don't understand this. You can't find it anywhere. All the La Petite Robe Noir's have been pulled, even though they are still in the top 30 on Sephora France for this past year. I would like to sample them but they are not at Macy's, Nordstrom, Sephora, etc.
