Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani is a Aromatic Aquatic fragrance for men. Acqua di Gio was launched in 1996. Acqua di Gio was created by Alberto Morillas, Annick Menardo and Christian Dussoulier. Top notes are Lime, Lemon, Bergamot, Jasmine, Orange, Mandarin Orange and Neroli; middle notes are Sea Notes, Jasmine, Calone, Rosemary, Peach, Freesia, Hiacynth, Cyclamen, Violet, Coriander, Nutmeg, Rose and Mignonette; base notes are White Musk, Cedar, Oakmoss, Patchouli and Amber.

Inspired by beauty of Pantellerie, where he spent his vacation, Armani created the aroma of Aqua di Gio for men and women. The fragrance for men is a scent of freedom, full of wind and water. The composition is built of a perfect harmony of sweet and salty notes of sea water and nuances of sunny warmth on your skin. Aqua di Gio is full of scorching Mediterranean sun. Bitter citrus with aromatic nuance of rosemary intertwines with salty, sea nuances and pellucid hedione. Sharp notes of spices are softened by woody base with warm, musky trail.

It was created in 1996 by Alberto Morillas.

Smells like a recently shaved father who is off to work for a crucial meeting

willewithfragrancerizz

I was on a trip to stockholm and I was ordering food at a little ikea resturant. When I got a bit closer to the kitchen I instantly recognised the scent and was out of words for realising what scent it was. It was someone wearing Acqua Di Gio. My god it smelled so incredible, I know people say it doesn't last, but this guy must've put on the fragrance on his cooking dress and a fan must have made the scent fly around. Or idk, but my point being is that this fragrance, hence the fact it's one of the most sold colognes on the planet, it smelled so sexy and beautiful. It isn't out of date. It will forever be a timeless classic. Never goes wrong with this one.

I believe this fragrance can still perform if you just put it on a shirt! The wind will do the rest.
So sooner or later once I have my money, I WILL, be getting this sunshine. Alberto Morillas you are a god.

SUpa_present

To my nose it smells almost identical to Versace Pour Homme in the drydown. Such a good summer staple. Yeah its generic but it smells so damn good. Created in 1996 but still holds up in 2024.

thekaissa

Hello everyone

I absolutely love the opening and middle of this frag, but I find the dry down a bit cloying (an hour or so in). Could any of you recommend a scent that is similar and stays a bit more in the middle notes of this Acqua Di Gio?

LeatherCouch

The reformulated, new refillable version is much better. More rounded, slightly less floral, just a touch sweeter and more modern. And it lasts longer! This is a lady-killer DNA. The epitome of modern masculinity. It's so good!!!

TheFraganist55

I don't see the vision with this one. Was my first ever cologne about 5 years ago. Very sharp citrus and ocean notes. It smells decent, but for me it lasts like 30 minutes on my skin before it practically disappears. Maybe older formulations were more reliable, but mine just doesn't do it. Nautica Voyage lasts longer than this fragrance.

Pizzaguy2627

One of my favourite summer scents, it has been getting a lot of hate recently for being “too popular” but that just means more aqua di gio for me :)), inoffensive masculine scent that has never failed to get me a compliment

Lonewolf2360

Oldie but goldie. Was one of my favorite perfumes in my teen age days along with Emporio Armani he. the only flaw is that sometimes it smells a bit bitter to my nose. if only the citrusy/bitter notes are notched down a bit, this perfume could become pure perfection.

I got it replaced long time ago by Comme De Garcon 2 but still bought one recently for the nostalgia.

I believe this one falls in the same category with the overhyped Chanel Bleu. However, bleu smells heavier, sweeter, less fruity with less character.

would rate this an 8.5/10 .

Blitzreview: Formal, aquatic and citrusy. Longevity is acceptable but sillage is not. Scent is great but played out.
Score: 7.4

Jorjeyo Armstrongi

A bit of green at the start, but not nearly as much as the EDP or the Parfum. Some light citrus that is blended well enough to seem not super citrusy. Fresh, Aquatic, Soapy, Clean, a bit generic as well.. it can’t all be good. This is kind of is its own unique scent in that everything is so well blended together. There is a reason ADG has stood the test of time. This is a really good fragrance.

I did buy this primarily for layering, but it is fine on its own. Unfortunately, the longevity is not very good - the projection dies down really fast. Also, be aware that there is a new 2024 formulation that has a gradient bottle. The description I left above was of the prior formulation with the completely opaque bottle. I bought this recently in 2024 from an online discounter, selling older stock, without realizing that there was a new formula that I could have bought instead.

Wild_Willy

This is one of the god fathers of the men’s cologne world and for good reason. No matter what I smell in my collection and thoroughly enjoy I still come back to ADG and take a whiff and just fall back in love with it again. In my eyes it’s truly everything a men’s fragrance should be. It has the clean the fresh the citrus the floral and the spice and just holds that perfect masculine gentlemen smell. It’s been a number one seller since 1996 for good reason. It still garners more compliments for me than any other cologne I wear. It’s really hard not to love this fragrance and if you haven’t smelt it yet then I highly suggest you finally do so. It’s also recently got a new and improved rerelease that’s suppose to be closer to the original formulation which is fantastic news. I cannot wait until it’s available in the US.

@Alexsandr Nechiporenko
Here I am!
The rechargeable 2024 version.
I tried it and immediately purchased it... It's a WONDERFUL!! It has finally returned to being the legendary fragrance of the past, the legendary Acqua di Giò! Bright citrus, sea breeze, full-bodied jasmine and a significantly superior longevity! I can finally wear my favorite fragrance again after years of it bothering me!!

AlexandrNechiporenko

Please tell me those who have tried the new version 2024. I have the 2023 version without the poure homme inscription below. The scent sits on the skin for 6-7 hours, the sillage lasts for the first 1-5. How much better is the 2024 version?

nzq3224

So clean and fresh, mass appealing and attractive scent. Honestly doesn’t last long, after about an hour or two it becomes more of a skin scent but still smells amazing.

FreshSummer

The King is back! With the new reformulation, the refillable one, the fragrance has returned to its former glory!! Opulent, full, firm and soft at the same time, it feels stronger but without discomfort and definitely lasts longer! The salty smell of sea water is as splendid as it once was, it truly takes you to the seaside on a beautiful sunny summer day! Smelling it I went back years, when it was still the legendary Acqua di Giò! With this new reformulation Armani has hit the mark, giving us back the magic and beauty of the past! 10/10!!

masonreed

Another one of my teenage go-tos. I think i got it as Christmas gift junior year? anyways. I really think this fragrance is the reason that i can't stand "fresh"fragrances to this day. GOD, is it ever so abysmally boring. Aren't we wearing scents to express ourselves? What does this say about you? Sure, its fine enough, inoffensive- almost pleasant objectively. But to me? It smells almost damp and rotten with soapy wetness, and mediocrity is almost a worse crime than outright failure. Why waste time on fragrances like this? Thats what comes to mind first when I smell acqua di gio.

Tracery

I love this its my favorite freshie its my go to when I am not sure what to wear and want something nice its an old fashioned masculine kind of scent its a safe blind buy for sure but I really love this stuff i just wish the longevity and projection was better.

valeri0706

After 2 days of using my new EDT (2024 bottle with the new gradient and engraving re-positioning), I can safely say the OG EDT is back.

Scent has been improved and it's now more sea-like and aromatic during the drydown, closer to the original release, compared to the heavier citrus undertone in the last few years' reformulation. The lemon cleaner scent from the OG's opening has been toned down, making the new release smell more natural.

Longevity is also around 6-7 hours now, which is a major improvement over the previous release. Fantastic re-imagination of the most sold men fragrance of all time.

SiddhantSuryawanshi

It was in Japan, the winter of 2018, where the world glittered with a festive chill. Everything hummed with a different energy – the streets bright with holiday cheer & the rush of shoppers. Back then, I saw her as a true friend – a brilliant, witty woman with a spark.

At work, she was my boss, always pushing me to be better. Sure, the intensity could be overwhelming at times, but I mistook it for genuine care. That shopping trip was different, though, a glimpse of the playful side she hid beneath her usual professionalism. Even her gentle ribbing about my spending felt almost...sisterly.

Then came the fragrance shop, not a planned destination, but a magnetic pull. Scents swirled with the potential of hidden stories. My fingers grazed the cool glass bottles, seeking something special. She watched, maybe sensing a desire in me to break out of my shell.

Then it caught me – a scent that was both fresh and warm, like sunshine on a rippling ocean. Citrus played with spice, flowers adding a sweet mystery. It felt... vibrant. Alive. Like something I could become if I dared.

"If you can spend this much on watches," she said, a smile in her voice, "a little on yourself never hurt anyone." The words felt like an unexpected stamp of approval, a touch of encouragement I desperately craved.

Back then, I didn't know this was the start of my fascination with fragrances. I just knew that scent, the one I bought without hesitation, became a symbol of something new. It was the scent of possibility, of stepping into my own in a way I hadn't before.

Of course, with time comes clarity. The playful banter turned to cutting remarks, her encouragement morphed into subtle manipulation. The woman I once admired revealed her true nature. Yet, that fragrance... it remains untainted. Women still compliment it, men still ask what it is.

And as the years unfold, I wear it with a mix of fondness and irony. It's a memento of that early time in Japan, of the naive belief that I'd found a genuine mentor. But it's also an evidence of the transformative power of scent – how it can outlast the very person who sparked your love for it. That fragrance, Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani, marks both the beginning of my exploration and the moment I realized that sometimes the greatest paths are walked alone.

ElNino-7-

@simpa256 that is music to my ears! Will definitely be purchasing soon.

@valeri0706 I still think Parfum is meh. It also lasts about 1 hour with zero projection.

However I have just tried 2024 Profondo...wow is all I have to say (new EDP, not Parfum). Smells phenomenal.

So who's the real nose/s here? For years I thought Alberto Morillas was it but now I'm seeing the three perfumers above this page. On some websites I saw Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud was the nose. It even mentions this on his Wikipedia page. On another I also saw Annick Menardo.

Anyways, this is a very fresh fragrance. Citrus dominant and very airy. The closest approximation would be 360º Red. The main difference is that the PE is very harsh, obviously because of the price gap, and screechy. Nothing really can compare to the OG ADG. You really have to sample it at least once to appreciate the quality of the ingredients used.

Timeless.

@simpa256

So happy to hear the 2024 bottle of the EDT has been reformulated for the better as the OG is one of my most favourite fragrances ever. I will probably get the new release soon.

Whatever Armani has done with the new 2024 bottles, it seems to have been an overall improvement as the new 2024 gradient bottle I got of ADG Parfum has also been tweaked to resemble Profumo closer than the 2023 bottle did. They even added the signature magnetic cap and have amped up the incense note, making the opening fresher and the drydown even more amazing.

I can see they've put the old bottle releases on sale on the Armani UK website, so I can only presume they are slowly phasing them out, leaving only the 2024 releases. Hopefully this will clear the confusion a lot of people seem to have with the many recent changes they've been doing over their bottles.

simpa256

The 2024 release in new gradient mat clear bottle is amazing. Lasts a long time, the wate note has been revamped to be less like swamp water and more like sea water with moderized citruses. Lasts 8 hours easily. There is a fair amount of greenness which the OG formulation had but lost over the yers through reformulations. Now, it is back. The old 1997 Acqua di Gio, tweaked a bit and modernized. A masterpiece. Next to discountinued Profumo and new Profondo Parfum... this is like putting a new coat of paint and giving a king back his throne in a modern day and age.

JohnPFrag

this is an absolute fresh citrus BEAST when i got this bottle back in 2021 i didint expect anything turns out i absolutely ADORED IT. it was my signature until the bottle ran out in 2022 (i over-sprayed since the silage was really shallow) And after i finished the fragrance i got some other ones as a gift! but ive never had a fresh/citrus fragrance that stuck with me this much. and for that its definitely no doubt 9.5/10 for me (0.5- points for the bad silage)

atzokas

Fresh but light fragrance!

Robusto

Like most of you, ADG was one of the frags that started my journey. It was everywhere. Girls adored it and was one of my signature frags from 2001-2006. I still have my old Cosmair bottle and wear it from time to time. I don’t know what today’s formulation smells like and don’t want to know. I will never buy another bottle of this because my bottle will last till I pass away. I do wear it from time to time and am immediately blissed-out. It’s stunning from morning till night. The Cosmair EDT is nuclear and sooo dense….as were most EDT’s from this era.

The memories that come back to me when I wear this were some of the best and worst memories of my life….but I can wear this today with a big smile on my face because the past is in the past.

Cheers!!

LePianoMan

Mainly bright citrus on the opening mixed with sea water/marine notes with noticeable saltiness, and a white musk underlying it all and adding some maturity.

I don’t understand why people say this is “old”, though. The citrus and sea water give it a bright, refreshing feel and really it’s the musk that brings you down back to earth and what gives this the amazing versatility it has.

Btw, this may not be a beast when it comes to longevity but it’s an EDT- it’s not supposed to be. Do NOT overspray this. I normally do 4 sprays of basically any perfume, 2 if they’re super strong, and it had been a while since I’d worn ADG EDT. Applied 6 sprays and gosh it’s strong. My mom could smell me from 3 feet away, and it wasn’t like she could barely smell me, she described it as being “bombarded” by my scent. This shit is strong hahaha, be smart about how much you apply and keep a decant with you to apply again around mid day or early afternoon.

An0thrperson

This is an alright fragrance that is very citrus and masculine, smells old though.

*** Timeless Scent ***
From Year 1996 since Aqua Di Jio Edt has been released their have been thousands of fragrances in the market, still you spray this and still feel the amazing scent profile it has.
The Perfumer reviewers now a days use the word Boring for a fragrance, i totally disagree as how can we get bored by a good smelling scent. Aqua Di Jio still has the amazing scent profile that will make you feel fresh and uplifting. Try to buy a 200 ml bottle to rest assure of heavy usage.

Fragrance Profile - The scent opening is citrusy and you can immediately smell the complexity of amazing oils that have been used.
Longevity / Projection - The ADJ Edt definitely scores less on the longevity and projection side just because of the oil concentration being used in on a lesser Side. on my skin still in can easily smell this amazing scent for 3 to 4 hours.
first 2 hours this has projection and silage then it becomes a skin scent which gives you a whiff to make you feel fresh.

Very nice office/work scent. Really interesting notes that come out on a warmer day. For the price the longevity and sillage is quite poor, for me at least I only get about five hours before the scent disappears. Many compliments from this fragrance.

8/10 for smell, 6/10 for performance, 6/10 for price.

Sauvage77

A timeless masterpiece that i never stopped loving.Great for warm weather days,very uplifting,masculine and fresh.More suitable for mature men,my father loves it and i gave it to him.

Lemosse

ah, Acqua di Gio, I mean what can I say this is just a classic modern masterpiece, You're Definetely gonna pick up the citruses up top, mainly the lemon and lime, bit of floral with the jasmine and neroli, in the mid i get some aquatic but when i first went out and sampled this it's actually not as aquatic as i expected, for having acqua in the name. Nice clean musky drydown with a bit of cedar that you can pick up on. Overall I actually really like this scent, its super uplifting and just relaxing to smell.

Scent : 9/10

Performance : 6/10 , You're gonna get around 5 hours with decent projection first hour or so, which is slightly above average for most fresh fragrances, the performance of this is a shadow of it's former self though.

Price : 7/10 , Tad overpriced but it's still priced pretty fairly ( a 100ml bottle will run you around 60-75$ )

Overall : 8/10

easy blind buy; battle tested for over 20 years. it screams inoffensive office-scent. light watermelon with pink floral tinge

this is a 1-2mL frag and will have you spraying clothes to create a modest aura. good thing it's widely available and costs less than a dollar per day to stay smelling great.

for the reserved individual who wants to smell good up close and not announce to the world they wear fragrance

chelsea20

So good, so classy. one of the best ever. Italian style at its best.

plvsvltra

Personally, I like it but it does have some sort of a funk before opening up. What exactly do I mean by a funk; after the opening aromatic citrus there is a sort of chemically after smell. This is something I've noticed in big brands like L'Oreal perfumes as well. It is a good scent, I use it before I go to the gym to counter the smell of my hard work. I would not recommend this as a gift unless they are specifically a Giorgio Armani enthusiast. This scent does not compare to Acqua di Sicilia from Santa Maria Novella, though it is very pleasant and somewhat affordable. Good fragrance!

0xrafae

The opening notes section could serve as a Wikipedia page for every citrus note imaginable. Looking at the number of middle notes, I'm genuinely surprised that Aqua di Gio manages to maintain any coherence. This may be because to the authors kept themselves more restrained at the base notes level—but only in the context of the other layers. Somehow, out of this chaos, one of the most iconic perfumes ever was born. I bet that the odds of this happening were as high as of a plane assembling itself after a massive explosion in a garbage dump.

Juice+Of+God

To....1 billion parfum.....You have COVID....HHAHHAHAH

1 billion parfum

My friend has it and when ive smelt his, and the ones in store it smells very strong with alcohol and cant smell any of the notes. I can smell the citrus a little but i dont like the dry down or opening.

willewithfragrancerizz

My friend used to wear this a couple years ago and I remember it smelled very very good. People say it isn't long lasting, sure. I can agree on that. But what I found out when I tried it in store a couple months ago before they changed to the new bottle, I witnessed it to last for a very good amount of time on my knitted sweater. It stayed on this shirt for at least 24 hours with a pretty big scent cloud. So I think that if you buy this fragrance you should definitely spray it on your clothes instead as it is going to last for a long time, aswell as create a big scent cloud. I'm hoping to buy this soon because I'm going to need a work scent.

Scent: 10/10, a true masterpiece that stands the test of time. It is still to this day modern smelling. Don't be afraid to buy this masterpiece.
Price: 7/10

MonicaCloud

Timeless. Aquatic, aromatic, juicy, and a breath of fresh air. Strong sillage, lasts and lasts. Love smelling this on other people. A nice change from cloying oud and leather perfumes. Acqua di Gioia for women has the same effect. I highly recommend it for gifts and blind buys.

Snigelsnorkel

mmmmm

notTryHard

Got it because it was recommended as #1 by many reviewers.

It's a basic "fresh out the shower"/shaving cream smell. Generic and masculine-leaning.

Oldchief61

After all these years, Acqua di Gio is still one of my daily drivers in the warmer seasons. Easy wear for a guy from his thirties and now in his sixties. I won't bother to talk about the scent as that has been covered ad nauseum. Reading reviews about this fragrance makes my computer slow down. Suffice to say, this is an almost perfect fragrance for nearly every (except formal) occasion.

Kuquii1974

My all time favourite before discovering Creed Aventus. Fresh citrus marine breeze. Gotta be in anyone's top 10 this. Amazing!

RefaEDT

To me this smells like getting out of the shower after going to the beach on a hot summer day in greece when you are tan and lean spraying this cologne after freshly shaving.

Sadly longevity isnt there.
but it brings back alot of good memories

simonaids

Honestly, one of my favorite fragrances. Has a fresh and citrusy opening, which becomes sweeter later on. The longevity and projection is not not the best though, only lasting you a couple of hours, and requiring several sprays.

calitrav

I loved the version I wore in 1999, but I remember going to buy a new bottle near the end of 2000 and being disappointed to find it didn’t smell right on me. At the time I thought maybe my skin chemistry had changed but in retrospect I suspect that’s when it had its first reformulation -- who knows? Does anyone know how to tell the difference between the various formulations and which ones are the best ones? I’d love to revisit this classic

rizzard

Read @Jecmenn review. It's spot on. I order a 1.7oz and a 6.7oz from ebay. Different shippers. While both smell fresh, the 6.7oz goes straight from a fresh and clean to a woody scent, then is gone in an hour. The 1.7floz I ordered starts fresh and clean except with a distinct floral hue. It smells like a designer cologne at the start, then dries down to the floral notes while maintaining the masculine tones. It last longer, has higher sillage, and greater staying power on the skin.

I thought it might just be the skin scent mixing with the colognes, but after testing on paper strips, I can definitely say the juice in the 6.7oz and 1.7oz are different. I go nose-blind after the first sniff with the 6.7oz, and not till 5-6 sniffs with the 1.7. Not to mention the 6.7oz is slightly more yellow than the almost white 1.7oz.

Just a word of caution. Although I will say the scent of both are pleasant, the only colognes I have that I've been compliment on (out of the ~15 others I own), and is an extremely safe blind buy for a newbie.

rozzox

smells great

dawnnyy

My favourite scent when i was a boy. I fw this heavy and tbh would still wear now for sure if i had a bottle on hand

Palmsquad

A classic “dude” fragrance.
The favorite of dudes who love to spray 20 times. Lol.
Still smells great, just don’t spray it more than 6 times, please.

Vicky456

Literally just smells like citrus lol, having all those notes is crazy when at the end of it, you only smell citrus

KanyeOmariWest1978

Very sweet and is a perfect summer fragrance for me if just it would last longer. It smells very citrusy and smells really good for the money. A good way to say it is to call the Profumo the big brother were it’s not quite as sweet but it still smells a lot like each other. I would recommend this still over the Profumo but that’s just my opinion. If it matters a lot to you that it lasts long then I would definitely recommend buying the Profumo. To me it matters a lot that it lasts long but with this great smell then I don’t really care as much as normally. If you don’t like the Profumo and still want something similar to ADG then I would suggest buying the le beau which is my favourite summer fragrance. The le beau is just as sweet as the ADG. I think that both lives up to the ideal summer fragrance. If it’s about the money then you should buy ADG but if it’s about the quality then it’s the le beau. Thanks to anyone that had the courage to read all this and I tried my best to help.

Mig781

It's a nice fragrance.
Smell's citrousy, fresh, soapy, clean.
But it doesn't last long.

JeremyPrajwal

I’m genuinely curious. Does anyone actually smell all the notes listed on the breakdown? That middle itself lists 13 or so different notes.

TheW6rst

ADG is a great daily perfume that works in a lot of situations, especially on hot summer days when you need that fresh vibes. Most people say this is too basic in terms of scent blends but I don't see that as an inherently bad thing. Sometimes a simple, mindless fresh frag with just a hint of sophistication on the base notes is what one needs

Sinkagu

Smells Fresh and has a hint of Limeade or some type of Citrus. The Citrus smell is very intimate and doesn’t Project far on my skin. But the fresh clean smell is what other people would get if they walk past you. It’s weaker than it used to be, I had it for a gift a couple years ago but it got stolen! But it’s a classic that is a very mass appealing 8/10!

Jecmenn

I've been wearing this perfume for years now (mainly because it is the only perfume that does not trigger my wife's migraines) and I can say that something about the formulation had to change very recently.

In the past the scent was very straightforward, starting with a nice blend of mild citrus and marine tones, which slowly turned into more floral notes, and the dry down stabilized with musky tones with a slight hint of citruses and marine notes.
However, the last bottle I bought (200ml), seems to have something different about it. The top is very similar to the old batches with a heavy emphasis on citruses and sea notes, however as it dries down, there are no floral notes, it goes straight into this woody, almost smoky note that wasn't present at all in the previous batches I had. The woodiness lingers on the skin for a very long time. Unfortunately, the scent turns sour with time and I swear I can even smell something like pickled vegetables at times after 6+ hours on the skin.

Mage4Zelda

The classic, vintage and popular from the 90s. I wish I could part ways but this fragrance is just put together too well.

From the opening to the base notes, this is a fragrance that does it all in a consistent, mellow and subtle style that declares warmth and freshness of spring and summer, without being too floral, soapy and aromatic. Gio EDT is a citrus scent that opens with good projection and composition of lemon-orange-jasmine giving way to sweet aquatic citrus and floral notes, without the bitterness associated with citrus fruits. This combination steadily and ultimately settles down to floral-musk so ingeniously and admirably that it evokes a feeling of genuine leather on skin. Even through the dry down, the scent gives off pleasant and considerable citrus vibes, making it distinguished and easily recognizable by its name after hours of initial spray. A subtle and appreciable note of jasmine, with a hint of sweet lemon, becomes perceptible as the scent fades away.

Ideal for summer days, warmer temperatures seem to mystically enhance the projection and sillage of this fragrance. The subtlety of this fragrance, sillage, composition and presentation of its notes makes AdG EDT a reliable and outstanding performer. This is what GIO delivers successfully, making it a fragrance that still retains its value after almost 30 years of its conception.

Acqua Di Gio, EDT is one of my favourite fresh-citrus scents and my first buy. Must I mention that the chemistry from the bottle that I own from 2005 is still as potent as the first spray. A very safe and reliable bet.

Rdk479

This fragrance was the only one I wore for about 15 years. Then about 5 years ago i decided to go on a journey to discover what i would like better. I noticed over the years since maybe 2017ish that the profile of ADG seems more diluted or lighter. I know some people hate or deny hearing that older batches are better, but I have a 2010 and 2013 bottle and they both pop better than a newer travel size bottle I bought last year. It's not even close. The older bottles have this stronger zest, orange, and some other note I can't figure out. It's not a projection banger, but if it's an older bottle of ADG it's still in my top 10, and I've tried hundreds to date. Anyone with a teenage boy I'd recommend getting this for them as a starter.

AlbusTran

I owns a bottle for almost 5 years and nearly run out. No more using so I won't buy another bottle. When I was young, this scent was literally EVERYWHERE (I live in Vietnam). To my nose, it's just outdated and familiar. But man oh man, I still love it whenever I smell it on people. Too popular - yes - but classic and sophisticated at the same time.

bigboipascal

Really good fresh smell. Unique and distinguishable. Very similar to other really like popular fragrances.

Olddirtyhoodie

This was my first cologne before I knew anything about fragrances. For a long time I had this and a cheapo target cologne for daily wear. But this cologne, when I first smelled it, I had to have it. Honestly, it's not that expensive compared to Tom Ford or Dior. The ingredients are high quality for the price. It lasts on skin all day but projection is good for a few hours. Makes this one good for dates or the office. I ALWAYS GET COMPLIMENTS. Don't let the enthusiasts skew the fact that people love this smell. Men women children, seriously the most well received smell I have, including my noir extreme and by the fireplace which are my favorites. If you smell it and don't like it, that's fine but I would at least visit a store and smell this before deciding. If you do like it, they make refills for this and thats a plus for me.

smelling.sniffing.swan

The top is a vague mish-mash of citrus, all kinda dry and boring. I wish that it was a bit juicier or more authentic.
Very clean with some cheap body wash / dish detergent vibes.

The middle is also just as boring. The floral notes in here are completely lost in the dihydromyrcenol. Missing a distinct, star of the show note.

The base is amber/woody but feels like an afterthought.

I will say the dry down is nicer than the opening where some of the initial vague sharpness builds a bit more character.

Verdict:
It’s not offensive. Just feels dull and corporate. Just smells like walking into the men’s fragrance section at a department store.

dannyjb

This is where I believe the subjectivity of others plays a huge role in determining which fragrances I wear. To me personally? I really wouldn't buy this fragrance. It's kind of boring, doesn't last long, and doesn't make you stand out.

However, man on man. I have gotten TIMELESS compliments from how good I smell with this thing. It almost makes me laugh at how sometimes I won't get anything with some of the better fragrances and more expensive ones I own, yet this one that is the OG Acqua De Gio will almost land me a compliment every single time I wear it.

If I were you, I'd buy this if you were a beginner or somebody who appreciates classic fragrances. It doesn't make sense how this is my most complimented, but man on man does it do the job.

Overall rating: 10/10.

I personally think there's better choices out there. But this does the job of impressing others better than every cologne I own.

LePianoMan

definitely aquatic and musky to start but as it dries down the citrus just blossoms out and smells so nice.

This is in my rotation for summer with D&G Light Blue Eau Intense - it's a much more grown up citrus aquatic that I think you could easily wear to a formal occasion without causing any issues. So stunning and I will always just absolutely love it.

AnalogPower

I don't see the appeal Lovage should be listed among the notes!

Inangahua

5ml decant in one of Feeling Sexy's stylish sample packs so a reliable supplier.
I'm so far not convinced aquatics are my thing, but to further advance that impression I need to put my nose on the top contenders for the title. So I was prepared to be converted to the cause with Acqua di Gio. Unfortunately that was not to be. Despite my best efforts and numerous oversprays I could barely detect any scent to assess. Glycol came to mind for some reason but I've no idea what that smells like.

So the conclusion is:
•The sample is off, or actually
water. (unlikely)
•My nose doesn't register the scent.
•The scent is super, super weak.

I'm not interested in pursuing it further to find out the reality unless I can try a store sample sometime.

Very disappointing.

Nnhgcddrhkmbfcnnjhgc

Amazing composition no doubt. One of the all time greats. I still throw it on from time to time but mostly just for nostalgias sake. Smells a bit synthetic if you go hard on the sprays

jbroadist

Sharp, citric, detailed. But way too overused and popular nowadays.

Trueblood84

I remember the first time I smelled this, I was 17 and this guy came to a house party i was throwing. I was so enamoured with the scent immediately pulled him to the side to ask what he was wearing. The next day I headed to the mall cuz I had to have this scent. No perfume before or since has had the same impression I got from this. Fast forward 20+ years I'm finally getting around to checking out the modern formula. It was very disappointing because it just doesn't seem to have the it factor it once had. Don't get me wrong it smells great and is quite potent the first few hours, but it lost some of its sharpness which is what I adored from this fragrance, now without that sharpness it comes across as slightly too sweet for my taste. After it dries down I get what I'd call a shadow of the true og scent in the background of the fragrance. Getting past nostalgia and my disappointment, this actually performed much better than expected after hearing the reviews, and smells amazing despite losing some of its magic, which really goes to show you that this is a true masterpiece in that despite its former glorious formula, still smells better than 90 percent of modern designer fragrance . 9.5/10

Most of my collection was Blind buy! and based on the reviews of Fragantica and you tube. In my opinion if you like fragances just for your pleasure or if you want to conquer hearts and noses alike, opt for those fresh, non-synthetic masterpieces – they're the scent superheroes, swooping in to rescue your vibe from office drabness and picky noses with a whiff of charm!
This kit list is a beginners compliment getter of timeless masterpieces for every age and imo you might no go wrong:

RyanDaRaider

Ah the OG. Back in the 00s when I was in Highschool if you had a bottle of this you were considered "king". It's a fresh clean scent, not much more to it than that. Nothing complex but you have to respect it. Anyone can put this on and just smell good. No "thrills" but you put this guy on anytime, anyplace and you're going to smell nice. All that to be said I put some on the other day and realized boy have I come a long way because it just smells "Eh". And not in a bad way but again respect to the OG.

emiliomontalvoo

Great fragrance with horrendous performance

JaySentz

This is pretty much a benchmark for clean blue scents. A staple office scent that can work in the heat that has been in my rotation forever. I might even wear this for a date if I don’t want to smell sweet but just fresh.

I don’t think I ever get excited to put this on or think about what notes I am smelling. It’s just an easy reach.

Rest Easy

This stuff is amazing and awesome, probably why it continues to sell so well.
I recently tried this again after a lengthy absence and it was greeted by some certainly, of coworkers as less than spectacular. Nowhere near everyone likes this. And if you "have too much on". That is exacerbated.
Not exactly a ringing endorsement to try eh?
Perhaps not of course.
The point for me, finally was wear what you like. One day it might be this. Another day something else.
And from multiple experiences, there is almost zero comprehension of anyone saying it has poor performance.

The performance is nearly nuclear.
Doubt me at your own peril wearing this.

delancy

A timeless classic.

You can dislike this and there's nothing wrong with that, but you simply must respect it. As we all know, this is one of the most influential male fragrances ever created. Period.

I suspect you would find a strong correlation between the types of "men" who call this "outdated" being the same crew who drench themselves in syrupy, sweet frags like Le Male Elixir, Ultra Male, Sauvage, Aventus, Dylan Blue, One Million, Eros, Invictus, etc. Tik Tok fragrance influencer sheep eagerly awaiting their next noxious fruity ambroxan bomb.

I'm a young expat working in Asia, and while this truthfully isn't something I wear all too often (but that is more so because I have a large collection), this fits a niche role of being one of my tennis and golf fragrances. I reside in a part of the world with extreme humidity and tropical heat, and this easily "cuts" through high humidity and helps you stay fresh and clean when you're being active outside, all without creating a cloying, wafting scent cloud around you as so many fragrances do in high humidity.

The smell of freshly mown fairways, exotic plants/flowers in Asia, and a couple of sprays on the chest of Acqua di Gio before tee-off culminates in a serene, calming sensation. Can also be worn for casual al fresco drinks with the lads after a round.

Would I wear this outside of very casual events such as quick errands and sports? No. And I would never wear this on a date unless she had an ex-boyfriend fetish or something, as this is literally one of the most overplayed and common fragrances in history. But just as an aside, from personal experience, Women do still tend to be drawn to this, despite its overplayed, mainstream status. Again, it's timeless.

If the smell of Acqua di Gio is what is considered "outdated" these days, then I'm more than happy being an outdated 31 year old ;)

SmellsLikeTeenSpirit29

I’m still in love with this cologne! To me, this is a modern classic and a masterpiece. There’s a reason why it’s still on the Top10 most selling fragrance in the US. People still buy this cologne!

thegreekone

This is my signature scent since it came out. I always buy new fragrances, heavier, sweeter, more intense , but i always have at least a bottle of this one. I unfortunately did get the reformulated version as many others complained but what can we do? Shit happens. It opens similar to what it was 20 years ago and dissapears within an hour without any further development. (Basically it became a ridiculously expensive body mist.) The newer GIO releases have nothing to do with the original. They became typical blue or smoky vanilla crowd pleasers. Maybe Essenza was a bit closer (Also gone for good). Armani destroyed this masterpiece.

Better make an acqua di gio with NO added notes, just a more intense and longer lasting version of the original. A lot of us would appreciate.

gandrasta

Still one of the best marine freshie in the market. It might be outdated, but if you want to know how calone works on a fragrance, AdG is the standard

codename_

This was my first fragrance ever, it will always have a special place in my heart. I adore Armani fragrances. After a while it started growing out of me. Will use it during summer. The longevity is below average doesn’t project or last. It is an aquatic scent so I didn’t expect much from it anyways.

7/10 Timeless Classic.

stonkz

My dad and several uncles used to wear this when i was a kid so big nostalgia on this. It's a fresh hip dude back in early to late 2000's that would wear this. outdated now but still good and that nostalgia really makes up for it to me.

solulszabolcs

Not my scent. There are other better water perfumes out there.

harraldinho

A classic fragrance. Smells fresh and mass-appealing. Only issue is it lasts around 30 minutes on my skin.

Freakmoney

It’s classic, it’s too mainstream, it’s popular.

So what? It smells amazing. To me this is the standard for a good summer fragrance. So many notes, yet so subtle and pleasing. That’s how I would describe it: pleasing to the nose. It’s just good.

Stef_2310

I grew up in the 90's so this is not going to be an unbiased review.
This smells more like the sea than the sea itself. It is such a classic masterpiece. A cornerstone of modern perfumery. Smell it and you are immediately transfered to a sunny mediteranean beach during the summer.
Yes, it became a victim of its own imense popularity but still for me this is one of the best scents ever and will forever be close to my heart. It brings back so many memories.
I am not wearing it anymore, for obvious reasons, and the last time I tested it on myself its performance was weak and the scent seemed slightly reformulated unfortunately.
The old one smelled on skin more or less like the new one smells on a paper test strip I think.

RanHaber

i feel like its good for summer only and the smell is not sexy at all. might fit for school/office but i wouldn't wear it almost never at night. it reminds me for some reason a scent of a sun cream or a body lotion.

givenchyy

Another boring simple smell. Its just fresh lemon, another "fragrance" which remind me wc gel, same like Cool Water. Do not blind buy, overpriced it should cost 25 €

JonFA

This fragrance is an absolute classic. Maybe people take it for granted as it’s been around for such a long time, but it’s beautifully balanced, fresh, and full of character. Coming out of the shower and spraying ADG in a summer day is absolutely invigorating.

It will sit closer to the skin after a couple of hours, but that expected for the nature of the notes, price and target consumer.

I recommend it to anyone out there looking for an accessible, versatile and well loved scent.

Reggyt

Another that I have purchased for my boyfriend. Not my top cologne of all time, but certainly suits my boyfriend well. I do love this

Test strip zaddy

A decent and highly recognizable freshy. Lots of folks wear this daily during the day and at the office. It’s clean and slightly aquatic, and dry down is pretty sweet and universally liked. To me it’s gone a little bit stale and predictable, and to me is a little less exciting than D&G’s Light Blue, and you run the risk of hitting people’s nostalgia (for better or worse) since everyone and their dad wears this stuff. Perhaps profundo or one of their flankers will provide a little more power and excitement.

Antoshka2

A citrusy cologne like smell with sea notes and some lovely element to it that I can’t identify. Reminds me of summer. Fresh and inoffensive, suitable for work but still a stand out fragrance for a night out. There probably are better fragrances out there but this is still far beyond reproach in my my opinion. Stays and projects well, beautiful dry down. Smells classy. Suitable all year round but best for summer especially hot summer nights. Clean and fresh. A little on the pricey side but well worth it. It’s not like cologne in the respect you have to wear a lot to smell it just citrusy and light but it lasts a while and you don’t need much at all. A classic too.

MS10

Haters gunna hate but this is one of the best fragrances ever made. So timeless and easy to wear. It is popular for a reason and is a safe blind buy.

Tindre123

Very good. Use it to school. 8/10

Shpeeep

A modern classic for a reason, clean fresh spring/summer that won't make you stand apart from the crowd, but certainly won't get any complaints (unless someone has rare allergies, but that's not what we're talking about).
My partner has this and wears it to feel fresh in summer as a sort of business casual fragrance, and while it's not his favourite or mine it certainly has a place in even a small collection for any man who works in an office environment in warm climates. I don't think I would find it odd to smell on an older man, or on someone who usually wears feminine fragrances for that matter, but it does primarily feel like a younger man smell (18-40). There's nothing agonizingly 'macho' about it but it's very mainstream in a way that, in lieu of any other style or visual cues, reads hetero lad.
To be completely honest, the coriander in this is not to my taste - it certainly doesn't ruin anything, but it makes what would otherwise be neutral into a slightly conservative wet citrus, as though you're wearing an aquatic freshie but recently walked through some expensive-for-the-sake-of-expensiveness room spray. I don't hate coriander by any means, but I am sensitive to the instances of it verging on obnoxious or cleaning-product.
I think they should make a deoderant that smells like this, to encourage layering for those who could do with a personalised but fresh scent, or for true minimalists to go all in on this for the summer.

Södertälje

Aquatic classic but performance sucks

qy3

i love the smell of it but its really nothing special just a clean fresh man and the fact that it's an EDT bothers me because it doesn't last more than 3-4 hours and projection is a poor when it dries. i use it as a gym perfume got 200ml bottle and loving it. 7/10

hpeeters

Definitely a Citrus by the sea scent! It’s a lovely scent, hard to hate it. Great for daily wear or going out. I think it’s a safe blind buy as long as you like freshie colognes. I love the female version as well!!!

BantamDraper

This was THE clubbing frag of the early 2000’s you couldn’t run into at LEAST 5 guys that had a 50ml or even larger bottle in their pocket, at the ready. The scent definitely takes me back to my early 20’s. Will always have a love for this one!

CDS911

Good classic perfume, clean citrussy smell. Lasts for 8-10h, with good projection in the first 6h. Compliment getter, suited for office, business environment

Carobean

All time favorite masculine scent. Not gonna lie (or tell them) but I've bought this for every guy I've seriously dated since my early 20's😂

xack

OG ADG EDT - Miles better than all these blue woody amber bombs on the market. Women love this scent on a man. A true classic that will never be dated.
Frag snobs stay mad.

Trueblood84

I don't know what it is about the og but I always seem to gravitate towards it over the rest of the line. Maybe it's nostalgia, my mind remembering when I first smelled it and was completely blown away, to me this is one of the greatest fragrances ever made. I only wish I could have an early formulation of it when it had more depth and performance, but the smell is still basically the same and after 20 plus years still outsells most fragrances because it is just that mass appealing. 9/10 only cuz it used to be better.

Mehh3456

Not bad , but not great. It might not get you many compliments, but at least you have a fragrance. This is the type of fragrance that you put on after smoking a cigarette because you don’t want to use your good one. I’ve honestly used it more as an air in my car freshener than on my skin. Smells good as an air freshener, but too boring for my taste.

Salkantay

I'm not the biggest fan of citrus notes but this a top notch fragrance. It's well deserving of its top place in sales. It transcends age demographics: you can wear this fragrance your whole life and it will never come across as too mature or too youthful. The dry down of clean musk and wood is fantastic. My bottle is a bit older and lasts for several hours. Don't wear if you want a unique scent, wear it because it's classic.

Madzmadz

Very stereotypical / classic cologne smell. Would not buy again. It does smell okay but was a little too citrusy for me. Ended up using it as a toilet spray until I found someone to give it away to.

LeRizzler

pretty nice fragrance and timeless freshie for starters.

Zenith Corvus

In an aisle of perfumes, where shoppers sway,
A young lad stumbled upon a scent one day,
That captivated him, body and soul,
And set his heart on a journey whole.

Acqua di Gio, the name did whisper low,
Its essence so pure, it seemed to glow,
Like rays of sunshine dancing in the air,
Inviting him to follow its alluring flare.

He spritzed some drops on his wrist,
And oh, how sweetly did the scent persist,
As if the fragrance had a life of its own,
Guiding him through worlds unknown.

Above ocean waves he flew and zoomed,
To lands where neroli and jasmine bloomed,
Their delicate harmonies combined,
With citrus zest, like sunbeams intertwined.

The boy was enchanted by this find,
His senses awakened and refined,
For every scent he discovered new,
Was like unlocking secrets anew.

Oh, Acqua di Gio, you led the way,
To worlds of wonder, night and day,
Your alluring charm I cannot resist,
My collection grows, my passion persists.

~~~~~~
Acqua di Gio was the very first fragrance I ever owned as a young boy. It is Acqua di Gio that introduced me to the world of perfumes and fragrances. No matter how old or generic it may seem, Acqua di Gio will always hold a special place in my heart.
JDperfumelover
Consistent hate, but it’s a classic, I don’t think it’s smells outdated in any way… picture a nice sunny day on a beautiful beach and you’re wearing a nice shirt with lemon trees all around.. this is still a classy perfume… I have a bottle gifted to me by my dad in 2003 when I was 9 years old… does it have the same longevity as those early batches? No, but it’s not terrible and I personally think it still smells wonderful. Worth a try, I have gotten 2 of my friends to buy it when they smelled me, a classic.
reubenkasai
Very weak silage and next to no longevity.
Overly priced.
bobbyh3342
one of the most popular fragrances ever made, yep i dont like it, i never have, thats why its so important to test before you buy, to find out what you like and what you dont like, I cant stand Sauvage, Invictus, Bleu de chanel or La Nuit de Lhomme, but i love Quorum, Safari, Polo green Drakkar and Kouros ,,find what you like and buy it,,,
Lovaloo
There's much love for Armani Acqua Di Gio, it's a steady seller with rave reviews, and I am completely dumbfounded as to why.
Watery citrus with the cucumber melon touch of calone, subtle white flowers accord, clean laundry musks, and not much else. Very 90s in presentation and smell. I'm surprised by all the people who have rated this one as masculine, I perceive it as a fairly fastidious, unisex scent profile. Davidoff Cool Water smells butch by comparison.
I'll give it a few more tries in the future, but I am underwhelmed by it at present.
crossnf
One of the all time greatest fragrances ever made. The definitive aquatic and forever intoxicating.
Spadz97
What is there to say about Acqua di Gio that already hasn't been said. A classic and timeless masterpiece that will never go out of fashion.
I received this as a present from my wife and it was never a scent that I really would have bought as the flankers are very much the focus of the brand these days. However after the first spray it is definitely my favourite of the line (that I have smelled) and is a phenomenal, fresh, compliment machine.
The reviews on YouTube make it seem as though this fragrance is watered down and barely lasts an hour. This has not been the case for me as it lasts around 7hrs on my skin and projects heavily for the first 2hrs.
I would definitely recommend this fragrance for its originality as it was one of the 1st of its kind. A very sexy, fresh and masculine scent which gets so much attention from women. It is definitely a top seller for a reason and that is because it is simply a great scent.
Sanguine_scenttrails
There’s a difference between something that’s popular, and something that’s timeless. Acqua Di Gio is nothing short of timeless. Like a classic trench coat, rayban clubmasters, or a little black dress, Acqua Di Gio stands amongst the most classic and iconographic fashions in the scope of modern style. Sure, it’s not earth shattering; neither are the perfect pair of Levi’s. But things like this were trailblazing when they burst into the world of style and have absolutely changed the landscape of fashion since.
Many “blue” aquatic fragrances have followed suit since the original release of Acqua Di Gio. Some have been impressive, but none feel quite like this. This is aromatic citrus rounded by incredible florals, and the cleanest salty marine air. All of this blended to perfection, with Alberto Morillas’ signature sheerness draped over the whole experience. It’s fresh, universal, solar, and seductive. I get pretty great longevity and silage from this considering it’s a citrus forward fragrance. Almost 30 years later, and it still earns its title as the best selling men’s fragrance of all time.
febia
Mmm, not for me. Lemon, but feels like a boring synthetic department store on me
delinojr
The best in the line.
Timeless Summer Fragrance!
Scent: 9/10
AquaRegia
Giorgio Armani's Acqua di Gio is arguably the best-selling men's fragrance bottle in history, cherished for its fresh and aquatic scent, perfect for scorching summer days. It opens with a burst of fruity citrus notes, swiftly transitioning into its signature marine and mineral character, with just a fleeting glimpse of its musky and cedarwood dry down before fading away altogether. While this fragrance comes at a premium price, its lackluster performance requires frequent reapplication.
Despite its shortcomings, Acqua di Gio's iconic scent has left an indelible mark on the perfume world, inspiring numerous other houses to create their versions. It's a timeless classic, celebrated for its pleasant, widely appealing, and versatile nature. Practically every woman has encountered this scent on their grandfather, father, brother, or ex-boyfriend at some point, so men should exercise caution when wearing it around new female acquaintances, as opinions can vary greatly.
What’s the perfume that’ll be recognized by most without smelling, even if the bottle is turned around to hide the name? Love it or hate it, one thing is undeniable: Acqua di Gio has been a part of our lives since the beginning and is likely to remain an enduring presence in the fragrance world.
JamesDeanpogi18
Smells great, but performance is not good. Lasts only 3 hrs on my skin. This would be in someone's collection on their cabinet. Just bought the 100 ml version on the most reputable mall in the Philippines, just only 93usd w 15% off discount, 1 gift set w 100 ml, 15 ml ,and shower gel and the old batch with the "Pour Homme" inscription on the box and bottle. Gonna re-buy this one.
valeri0706
I just re-added this fragrance to my collection after I had forgotten how much I love it.
What makes it a masterpiece is how simple its composition is with the citrus and florals. It's incredibly fresh and leaves a soft musk trail on the background. It legitimately smells like walking on the beach with a subtle sea breeze around you.
It also lasts around 4-5 hours on my skin and never ceases to get me compliments.
Yes, we have Profumo, Profondo and Parfum now, but this will always have a special place in my heart due to its simplicity and versatility. It has been the best-selling men fragrance since 1996 for a reason.
omarmizdaq
Not sure if it’s just my skin chemistry but this smells awful on me. There’s an overpowering cloying synthetic white moral note that ruins it, just like with Bogart Pour Homme.
This smells absolutely terrible, on/to me for one 😵💫
Wiccan
If you have an emotional attachment to it or you're a collector, you probably will have it.
It's overpriced and the performance is very, very poor. It's projects for less than 15 minutes, then becomes a faint skin scent that lasts for 5 to 6 hours. Unacceptable.
If you like this scent, try “L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme” or even try "Versace Pour Homme", which is a better option, with a delicious scent, slightly better performance, better price and it's also created by Alberto Morillas.
inyourface23456
reminds me of smelling a flower after it rained
BZien
I'm really late to the show on this one but I had to say that it is very underwhelming considering all of the hype. I just got it yesterday from fragrancenet and it just doesn't do anything. Maybe my nose is dead to this one.
As an FYI background I own about 1100 fragrances. I also need a 12-step program to stop this addiction.
Arifyusof92
Simply simple fresh aquatic citrusy scent. It is an EDT after all.
Imagine profondo but less aquatic with no lavender.
Henchman21
My first ever fragrance, got my first bottle when I was 16 and it's served me well for nearly a decade. It's the only fragrance I know of that you can wear in temperatures over 95 °F (which we get much of the year where I live), it just performs so well in the heat without becoming annoying like a lot of fragrances do. It's loved by beginners and oldies for a reason, it's just a great all around aquatic scent. And even though I've recently upgraded to Profondo, this will always have a special place in my heart.
axeli
Smells like salty and fresh. Dont know why i bought this. dont like it anymore. I wore it a bit on the summer but I never really liked it
JamesDeanpogi18
My 2nd most fave perfume and it's the 1st designer perfume I ever bought. There's two version of it, the one I bought on the mall was the bottle without the "Pour Homme" on it. It was December and I really enjoy wearing the perfume. I already half-empty my bottle. The smell, it's citrus-floral-aquatic, fresh and clean just came out of the shower. But my bottle doesn't have that citrus/lemon opening, just the florals and definitely could smell the persimmon/melon with some hints of labdanum, cedarwood, and patchouli in the drydown. Man, the drydrown is so beautifully crafted, kept smelling my wrists, so pleasing. I definitely can smell a mature man who has put it all together. Can be a work or date scent.
Once I stumble on fragrantica, I realized that the bottle I bought doesn't have the written "Pour Homme" in it, which is their new batch. The older batch, luckily, I bought a 100 ml with the "Pour Homme" on the bottle which said to be from New York. How lucky I was getting a perfume from New York. So the smell, it does have a citrus opening, kinda like a lemonade tea. Still clean and fresh. The drydown is kinda sweet, kinda a clean laundry just lemon scented. I love it, but the projection is weak, only lasts 2 hrs on my skin, and the newer bottle lasts about 3 hrs. But I'm not complaining tho. Well, my mom, is the actual person who first noticed and complimented me on how good I smell was. I will definitely gonna buy the other flankers of ADG.
bungulburt
Just a great overall fragrance for day or night. As long as it's hot out. Very refreshing scent that's citrussy and oceanic. Feels like your quenching your thirst when you put this on. The only problem is the scent lasts only a few hours. Very disappointing.
frankcoelho
It still has what I was looking for when I decided to rebuy this one.
I had a bottle in early 2010 through 2012. Full body lotion, aftershave, shower gel (the whole thing). Needed a new gym fragrance and this came to mind, went for a tester, and loving this all again so far!
Very easy to wear, feels like you can hit any occasion with it, but too aquatic for a signature. Definitely fresh for going out and about, but so pleasant to spray for working out and sports. I'm drying this 100ml by EOY.
Acqua di Gio es la fragancia para hombre más vendida de la historia. Desde que se creó (1996) ha marcado una identidad única, exquisita y vanguardista aún hasta nuestros días. La cantidad de variaciones, copias e inspiraciones, tomándola como base, es interminable ya que dio la pauta a seguir a muchas casas importantes de perfumería, marcando así un antes y un después desde su lanzamiento.
Si gustan de una fragancia versátil y atemporal, que sea potente en verano y fresca en otoño, esta es una buena, buena opción. Cítrica, acuatica, fresca. Les dejará un aura de juventud y frescura que les alegrará el rostro y abrirá cumplidos.
Su aroma es fresco y específico; un aroma exquisito, que me gusta oler sin descanso, todo el tiempo... siempre. Y aunque hay otras imitaciones y hasta otras variantes de la misma genética Aqua di Gio, ésta es a la que siempre vuelvo.
Cowboy87
Timeless classic that belongs in everyone's collection. Just as good today as when released. However do not make this your signature scent because everyone knows this scent.
Bicr
Reminds me of Dior Homme Sport, a bit.. The newer one... Pleasant...
Fortunes
Bought a bottle as a gym sent after more than 15 years not touching it because everyone was wearing Aqua Di Gio.
I'm shocked how they butchered it, DNA smell is still present only very little. More in a watery/musky floral way and it only last for 15 min max. It's almost criminal.
The whole line from the OG to the flankers are to weak and is not worth the money.
R.I.P Aqua Di Gio.
wgba8
A very nostalgic scent for me because Acqua Di Gio was worn by some of my friends growing up. One of those quintessential blue hot-weather fragrances of its time like CK One, Polo Sport, Azzaro Chrome and Clinique Happy. I got myself a bottle too and have finished 4 bottles so far in my life. After finishing my first bottle I didn't have to worry about accidentally getting a flanker thinking it was the same fragrance because Armani kept making the original for so long. I found it funny when my friends complained that their new bottles smelled different or performed worse and we learned later that they were buying spin-off flanker versions of the originals.
I keep coming back because it is a profile that is just typical smelling sporty cologne and makes an easy impression. It is a little weaker these days I have to use more of it on clothes these days than I use to for it to cut through the dreaded heat but it still does its job for me. That is why I still enjoy wearing Acqua Di Gio.
SpiderMarc
This was a huge hit in the 90s. After this spawned a trend of other aquatic ‘aqua’ fragrances from every other house.
This here is a real masterpiece, classic yet contemporary when you use it this decade.
Somethings never go out of style.
4dri3n
Top notes of 90s nostalgia.
Middle notes of reformulation.
Base notes of damn I'm old.
overwhelmiiiiiiiing orange and citrus
I’ve had this cologne off and on since 2009. It’s a classic and always garners compliments. Fresh with a little edge in the musk. Profondo is more modern I feel
But Profumo is one of my favorite colognes of all time and takes the cake. Sadly it’s discontinued. Can still get on Amazon, and if you haven’t tried it. Buy it while you can. It’s perfect
Fullen96
good and simple..
SeanConnery
A weak dissapointment, i bought this blind and couldnt believe how weak it is, i bought it in mall, it is original....but its just lackluster. However, as a hot day summer cologne, its decent, i can spray as much as i want, in hot days no danger, i can actually smell it, and the smell is nice, obviously, its the most sold parfum ever. In cold weather its incredible weak, almost no smell. But the smell is complex even if faint. Next time ill go for blue or profumo one. If you are looking for your fist aqua di gio, go for the stronger ones.
TheMoThatKnows
Rotten eggs? I do smell this note, and I love it! I wonder if this was intentional?
Of course, you don’t notice the egg for long, lest this would be unwearable.
But these unusual notes are what make some scents legendary - petrol/gas in Fahrenheit, urine in Jules, dirt in Kouros and egg in ADG.
Ubiquitous and over-priced, but I enjoyed my bottle. If I could find ADG on sale, I would gladly purchase another.
neodave
Great fragrance but horrible performance. Buy the 200ml. you're going to need it. I'd say Profumo is a decent replacement with way better perfirmance but it's soon to be a memory.
ayoub78
alltime favourite freshy you can not go wrong
price and performance is the probleme
zlouiemark
I think this has been reformulated. I remember this as a strong sweet-ish sea frag but now all i smell is musk and synthetic notes with the bew batch.
I cant be the only one right?
dorw
I'm writing addition review: even after some long period of time using it, I cannot get over the harsh smell from the start, that's turned into very light to non-noticeable.
Maybe bad batch? anyway, this is the worst perfume I've got , and I've got some cheapy perfumes as Nautica or Armaf CDNI.
ElNino-7-
No matter how many new frags I try, I always come back to this masterpiece. It's more or less unbeatable.
KevD86
A forever fragrance. People swear it's so dated but I still get compliments on it every time I wear it. I say it's still worthy of buying a new bottle if you run out especially for as cheap as you can get it now. This was really one of the scents that started my fragrance journey and I'll keep a bottle as long as the make it. 9.3/10
b_revity
The original Acqua di Gio EDT is supposedly the best-selling men's fragrance of all time and if that is true, there is a reason for it. Even decades after its release, it remains an excellent, if perhaps unexciting fragrance. On me, this fragrance - after the citrus-forward opening - gives a mostly linear but well-balanced combination of light citrus, white florals, a hint of woods, and that signature mineralic-ozonic-aquatic note at the base. It is mercifully lacking in that "blue" citrus-amber-woods thing that is so prevalent in contemporary men's perfumery, including in some of AdG's more recent flankers like Eau Intense and Summer Vibes. That is a mercy for me as I personally find that "blue" note cloying to the point of being nauseating.
AdG is a perfect scent for hot summer days, totally safe for the office, and one of the few fragrances I am comfortable wearing to the gym. Performance is a bit of a mixed bag. I can't speak to historical formulations, but in its current formulation, AdG dries down to a skin scent almost immediately after spraying. However, the very intimate projection is one of the things that makes this such an easy, safe wear even in scenarios where a stronger fragrance would be inappropriate.
Most of my favorite fragrances lean darker, spicier, and smokier and can be hard to wear in hotter temperatures. This is one of the few bright, refreshing, summery fragrances I've found that I truly enjoy wearing, even if it is not the most exciting fragrance in my collection.
thaip88
If you live in a tropical region, 30+C (85+F) year round, this is truly the GOAT, better than Profumo for sure, which is more suitable when the heat is around 26-28C ish.
Fresh, salty, invigorating, and manly, but that is my 2019 bottle, which I have just emptied. I will buy a new bottle soon and see how it goes.
R2 yeye
Fresh and citric and the inspiration of a whole fragrance generation. Even tho it is still good, you might not like it or should use it if you're under 24 years old. Many friends from high school wear it and I find it kind of weird, cus they smell like a grown man, but not in the good sense.
R3dbullDrinker
I got this fragrance after receiving aqua di gio profumo so I can't quite say that I'm in love with this because I've tried an upscale version of this. However if you are just getting your feet wet into buying fragrances this is a great place to start. Yes the performance isn't long and it's not a super unique sent. This won't kill anyones noses and mass appealing. I wore it once just to get people's reactions and they had to get quite close to me in order to smell it however when they did I got very positive feedback. This fragrance I would say is best used for younger guys as it's cheap and very mass appealing and younger guys may not be interested in collecting and more into getting reactions from people.
Ahmet Reis
This is soo waek. Very bad longlasting.
alecrangosauro
Man, this fragrance is super fresh! I use this as an everyday fragrance. It just smells complex and rich. The only downside is that it smells a little too musky, but that's very much a personal preference. If that were toned down a bit like in the eau de parfum version, it would be perfect. This scent really makes me think of summer. For being an eau de toilette, this scent is also very strong. It lasts 4-5 hours on my skin, with 2-3 hours of great sillage. 8.75/10
faevert42
The OG formulation: a classic for a reason. One of the best fragrances of all time. Simple, but phenomenal. The scent of sea-kissed warm skin at the peak of summer.
jasonarshan
The GOAT. My gateway fragrance. It's a tropical masterpiece that melts on my skin in a way that makes people think Giorgio Armani sent me a secret version of the fragrance. While it's true that I'm frequently given yet-to-be-released versions of fragrances, don't let the stories get twisted, I wasn't given a secret version. Acqua di Gio hits my skin differently and while it's still unmistakably AdG, it smells magical on me in a way that makes me stand out from others whenever I wear it.
Ay&do
Aquatic and aromatic summer fragrance, very nice smelling,every body asking that was it Armani gio? and i am getting very often compliments but unfortunately i usually use parfum version becouse not long lasting on my skin max.2 hours staying and than boom nothing smelling but good sillage for 30 minutes my prefer is profumo version but not existing anymore edt version much more rich and good smelling than parfume versions, unfortunatelly not stayin long like parfums.
bradleys
Sweet, safe, inoffensive. Great for summer, at the beach, office. Not the most bold or intriguing but never a bad choice!
WizBusiness
This is very floral, which I didn't expect based on all the times I've smelled my the atomizer on the bottle my dad has always kept on his bathroom counter. I always thought this was mostly calone, water notes, and woods but this is very floral. I like l'eau d'issey better for a hot weather floral.
Tazwiz
Inoffensive, Fresh, clean and perfect for summer and high heat. Unfortunately the performance is below average and is overpriced nowadays for what you get. Also a bit dated with all the other fragrances of the same line and there are quite a lot options for freshies that are cheaper and perform.
Overall 7.5/10 it's good but not going to rebuy
AGToth
The last reformulations are very similar to Profondo with a touch of orange
Fragheadrichy
Pan in on a freshly groomed backyard garden, nested at the outer edge of a pinewood forest. Fresh basil and lemon verbena grow at the base of a neatly constructed picket fence. Dappled sunlight streams through the fruiting branches of a lush lime tree above, swaying gently as a breeze ushers in warm air from the adjacent wilderness. It swirls together the exterior woody smells of rosemary and oak moss with the interior citrusy scents of the yellow-orange pulp-fruits ripening on the branches above. You sit and bask in the smell scape before your nostrils, wink away a nostalgic tear, and get back to the business of living.
This scent doesn’t just offer a smell, it offers a story. Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani is a joyfully peppy scent that has proven its worth as a timeless favorite in the years since its initial release in 1996. It leads with bright, blue-green accords, thanks to the the many citrus notes in its makeup. Beneath the top notes lies a complex web of spicy, earthy, musky hues, all working together to create the ever-elusive combination of something both bright and brooding. It bottles up a freshly budding citrus leaf and lets you invoke its zesty, bright scent at the spritz of a wrist. 10/10
stellaracorrea
I like using perfumes for men when they have an approachable aroma for women. This is one of many male perfumes that could work as a unisex scent. It's a classic and still worth it.
WeezyPipes
It doesn't last long enough (2-3 hours) and the opening doesn't make me look forward to reapplying it throughout the day either (there's a funky floral note at first). I know this is a classic but in its current formulation I wish Armani would just start over and give us a new modernized, more focused EDT for the line. Something that actually belongs on my shelf next to the EDP, Profondo, and Profumo.
I know, I know... blasphemy.
dantheman352
Acqua di Gio is a timeless classic. It brings me back great memories: WILDWOOD, SEASIDE HEIGHTS, BRADLEY, AND POINT PLEASANT BEACHES. ASHLEY'S NIGHT CLUB IN CLIFTON, HAWAII, BAHAMAS, AND AZORES.
This revolutionary scent is the pioneer in the successful aquatic segment of fragrances for men and women. It has also given segway to a popular line of flankers, which I enjoy as well. Thank you, Alberto Morillas, one of my favorite perfumers.
Back in the 90s, our choices for a good summer fragrance with ocean vibes were limited in comparison to nowadays. The accessibility and availability of these fragrances were also limited. According to my experience, there were only a few mainstream noteworthy players during the era of the '90s: Acqua di Gio pour homme (1996), L' Eau D' Issey Miyake pour homme (1994), Calvin Klein Escape (1993), Davifoff Cool Water (1988).
This fragrance depicts the scent of the ocean while evoking a citrus/aromatic freshness. It's so good and playful and still relevant today. For me and many others, this is nostalgic, but for those experiencing this scent today, I truly believe that they will like it as well.
The "Michael Jordan" of men's fragrances.
Much has already been written about all type of formulations, durability, performance... It is no longer one of the most capable on today's mass market...
But it's still fucking Iconic!
Imagine-This beauty on your skin and shirt,a typical hot summer day, you go to the beach, you take off your shirt... You go in the water... You have a good time... And when you come out and put the shirt back on yourself - that divine sea summer smell!!!!
Sea, heat - and Acqua di Gio!
😍😍😍
Acqua di Gio Pour Homme has been a victim of its own success. It became so popular that you've probably smelled it before whether you know it or not: it always evokes for me a well-scrubbed college guy. At the same time, its popularity has been with good reason: it smells absolutely terrific, and is one of the few exceptionally complex multi-note masculine fragrances from the 1990s that appeals to a young audience even today. It's an aromatic aquatic, but it also has lots of fruit and light floral notes like cyclamen and jasmine (and yet it's marketed as a masculine, and can be worn easily by any gender).
There are few more refreshing scents on a hot day. This is becoming less popular with time, because it became over-familiar, but it will probably always be a classic nonetheless because it's good.
Bertes
This has been reviewed too many times now, but here is my take on it.
It's fine, I mean you can't go wrong with the most sold mens fragrance of all time. Or can you?
I actually think that this is not that good. I like this fresh dna, but it's hard to do something unique. It's boring and synthetic smelling. I was hoping for a fresh, sporty freshie, but I was pretty disappointed. This is probably because of reformulations.
To compare it with something :L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme
It's nothing near as good as L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme. I think L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme has the best opening of any fragrence I've ever smelled, it's fresh, energetising, juicy, just amazing, and when you smell this it's just meh.
A classic for sure, but a pass for me and I wouldn't recommend it. Get any other freshie for a lower price even.
LeSmeller
This is a CITRUS COOL scent, with bergamot center stage (although not dominating) in the beginning, so if you like Earl Gray tea you may like this fragrance. The main thing about it that comes to my mind is how well together they put it. It's like a German car of perfumes, not particularly flashy or original, but it does what it should do well. It's pleasant, inviting, and balanced. Imagine being on a beach, with the sun shining, a slight breeze, and the sea. That's the vibe of this fragrance.
PLEASE try this before you purchase. I was thinking of getting this since it seems to be what everyone recommends for a summer fragrance. While I liked it on paper it smells absolutely rancid on my skin, completely unwearable.
Now I won't trash this fragrance because taste in smells is very subjective, however just keep in mind that due to some of the notes this might not work for everyone's skin PH.
For reference I enjoy sweet scent profiles, unisex mostly and I even have a couple of more feminine scents in my collection since I find those comforting. If you're like me, some good unisex summer scents I've been enjoying are TF soleil blanc (the coconut blooms in high heat), zara red temptation summer (such a fresh litchi note), and finally kim kardashian (I know lol) pure honey.
nicky435634
It's good and lasts. Very much like Galimard 1.
daveugber
Smells fresh and wonderful. Dated? Yes. Still presentable in just about any situation. If this is your signature scent, you will bring pleasant notes to everyone who passes by. I like the Eau de Parfum a lot, but it's slightly more syrupy sweet.
I'm interested to try the new Parfum, but all of these flankers are merely complements to the original, which, to this day, can be appreciated by almost everyone.
Japsu
Can be a good fragnance, On paper smelled rly awesome. Bought it and was excited to use it. And was dissapointed on my skin smell was awfull! Still i like the smell on others, Not made for my skin sadly
Holy crap Emil. For someone who is wildly inexperienced regarding fragrances, you sure take a long time and alot of words to say you don’t like something! 😂 Personally I think it’s not too bad. I like that it has a bit of sharpness to it, and at the same time some kind of resin like smell. Like a carnation
FranVV
Me la regalaron hace poco y la verdad es que me ha decepcionado, el olor es agradable, cítrico clásico, fresca, pero no me dura nada. No la recomiendo
Swerve
Acqua Di Gio is the biggest selling mens fragrance of all time.
How hard can it be for Fragrantica to credit the man most predominantly responsible for it.
Jacques Cavallier.
theelite22
One of the safest blind buys out there, it's very difficult to dislike this. A timeless classic
Emil.W
While i am wildly inexperienced in the world of perfumes only very recently starting to have an interest in not just smelling nice but smelling my best, and my nose is a novice for the intricacies of perfumes and the hundreds of smells utilized in their creation. I will say that the years ive had this perfume i have always been rather unimpressed of the scent. Though it has been of common use in my as of recent collection of 4 fragrances (now 5 with more on their way), acquired through christmas presents in my teen years. The 2 examples of Acqua Di Gió Eau De Toilette i have have both come as a set so perhaps my misfortune have been do to these sets including 2nd rate sortings of the perfumes? (I will be talking about my oldest sample)
The top notes consisting of mostly citrus notes is a very synthetic experience, consisting mostly of the sour fresh almost ethanolic notes with a lack of "play" so to say or depth and complexity you would find in tasting citrus fruits. I am unsure if the start as in the spray of the perfume is just very plauged by the scent of fragrantic alcohol or the top notes are a fair bit too synthetic.
The middle notes serves as a sadly rather muddled experience of south european aromatic garden flowers the scratches the surface of the more woodsy basenotes but to my nose doesnt really reach into the depths of the "darker" notes which is understandable its a fresh fragrance. A more focused layered middle notes would've been pleasant.
Overall i do get a story through smelling this scent, 'A young lad cycling by through the countryside by the sea in southern europe to a lodge or farmhouse with a grandparently comforting feeling with a small garden sitting by the neck of the woods'. I do like this, but sadly this experience is only effectively achieved through smelling this scent within a couple inches to right under my nose.
So by extent of the feebleness this fragrance has and the lacking the potency and punch it does not achieve sillage to speak of this being the case for both my samplesm. And at the outragious pricepoint of 66,60EUR pr. 100ml as a stand alone item at the cheapest with no large price hikes it takes away and sours the experience and rating of the perfume Greatly.
It is worth noting that my segnificant other has said it smells nice but she does need to go in skin close for a smell to smell it.
It certainly does smell rather summer fresh and clean.
Especially note worthy is that this perfume has been a bestseller and in production so long that certain factors can change your reception of it. Certain places had overwhelming use of it so it may smell overdone to you or very importantly different batches and different "vintages" of the perfume can vary Greatly in smell and performance, rumor around the block is that back in the 90's and early 00's not only did it smell much more potently, actually creating a decent sillage but smelled much more genuine in its notes. my newest sample does have just a margain more fruityness to it, while my older sample is more soapy when freshly applied.
spodongle
an overall nice and clean lemony, oceany smell. I would recommend Versace Pour Homme over this though.
performance, not so great
7/10
I understand the appeal for modern crowds. Can’t for the life of me understand the appeal to older generations. It smells like flat 7-Up. It’s not bad. And clearly DOES have mass appeal. Just doesn’t work for me. Doesn’t have much character or depth for me. Very smooth, and I will give it big points for elegance and versatility! Can go straight from day into evening no problem. There are much better flankers for evenings, but you can get away with wearing this one 24/7 with ease! You will get compliments. That said… try before you buy. Regardless of it’s overwhelming success it is not for everybody.
RGH01
Acqua di Gio is a timeless classic, beautiful masculine citrus and florals which is both nostalgic and contemporary. It opens with its iconic salty marine accord and a multitude of citrus with jasmine and neroli. As it begins to dry down, an aromatic musky profile of rosemary, cedar and oakmoss starts to shine alongside a touch of fruity sweetness and a deepened heart of various florals.
It’s somewhat synthetic across the board and isn’t particularly complex, but this scent is one of a kind and has continued to be a best seller since the 90s for a reason. People love this and it definitely gets compliments.
While the performance isn’t great, the scent is good enough to look past this in my opinion. The new EDP version is pleasant, but it lacks that iconic salty scent profile which makes the original so addictive. I definitely think this is still worth owning today and is a summer staple for me.
Spicadk
Toilette
Smells very watery, musky.
First impression, it smells fine and clean, but very weak.
Tmanarl
Never had this as a young adult; ordered a decant to check it out. It's certainly familiar but not as much as I thought it would be. The fruity notes take dominance for me. Softer and less spicy than I usually prefer. It's nice, and I like it, but don't love it.
EDIT: Several months into wearing this and it has grown on me, a lot. I'll go ahead and spring for the full bottle. I smelled this in the wild in Seattle last week and it just worked so well next to the sea.
Phresh Man
Bought this from Sephora and I smelled like spicy waterfalls for abour 40mins!
This stuff has ZERO performance... I thought it was a joke-
jasmineweber
Pleasant, generic summer scent. I wouldnt buy a full bottle.
el_fantasma
After trying out multiple aquatic and marine stuff in the last few years, there is just one sentence I am able to say about Acqua di Gio Pour Homme:
"Greatest there was, greatest there is, greatest there ever will be." Old, but doesn't feel old, weak, but perfectly fine for warm summer days, everything about this fragrance is absolutely the way it should be.
3NO7
Timeless classic. Been wearing this since it came out and I would steal sprays from my dad.
Still great and my wife’s favorite.
If you’re a normal person and your nose hasn’t been damaged from too much perfume huffing it projects and lasts just fine.
It is still a perfectly reasonable signature scent that is recognizable and most people probably associate good memories with.
It has inspired countless fragrances and spurred on an elite flanker line.
I love it and will always have a bottle.
KnightsD
Has everyone smelled it? Oh yeah. Does it still smell great? Oh yeah. A cologne that projects like you want it to, and if the ppl around you aren’t familiar with scents (like most), you will do just fine with this. Not bad for the price, somewhat timeless.
NecessaryExistence
This is a classic. I got a sample and tested it. It’s very appealing still despite being around for a while, it doesn’t seem outdated. Still solid. For me though I wouldn’t buy it because it’s not too interesting (I think because I’ve smelled this a lot on others over the years). Still a like, I know I’d be happy smelling this on others.
Afc_Croatian
100 fragrances in my collection later, and Acqua Di Gio is still my favourite fragrance of all-time.
There is no denying it's godly freshness and cleanliness this fragrance has you feeling. That lemon lime neroli blast in the opening is incredibly pleasing. The sea notes, the beautiful freesia, that very subtle woody dry down, it's all blended so well to make the ultimate casual fragrance, and I still get compliments when I wear it.
In an era of gourmand and sweet fragrances, ADG still stands the test of time. What exactly makes a fragrance outdated? I still see vintage fragrances as beautiful and with their own personality.
10/10. Where it lacks longevity, it makes up for with its scent.
HannahRosesAreRed
I love fresh, aquatic scents. I love to wear them; I love spraying them on my clothes and linens; I love to smell them on other people—especially men. Luxury label Armani’s Acqua Di Gio has become ubiquitous in the fragrance world as the ultimate men’s freshie of our times. Given my dislike or at least disappointment with so many “viral” scents, I approached this particular cologne with caution. However, Acqua Di Gio lives up to its reputation—it really is a lovely scent.
It’s clean, sweet, piquant, fresh and full bodied. I like that it incorporates many florals, if rather subtly, in its heart and top notes. I’m pleasantly surprised that Armani managed to make the indolic and overtly sexy notes of neroli and jasmine smell fresh, soothing and even a little masculine, though the sharp citrus notes help. One of my favorite watery floral notes, hyacinth, plays out strongly here. The lovely earthy and herbaceous green notes of rosemary and patchouli can be detected even in the dry down. I don’t get a lot of musk here, not on my card or skin—which is fine by me.
Although marketed as a men’s fragrance, I would argue that it could work as unisex. The only downside is that it’s just so ubiquitous that it could come across as generic. But sometimes uniqueness is overrated—some things are popular for a reason, and Acqua Di Gio has a very good reason for being as popular as it is.
d4ugg
I think this would be an excellent cologne for citrus fans. it lasts pretty moderate maybe 3-4 hours and it is very citrusy, I'm just not a big fan of citrus but I still think this smells pretty good.
ramparab
Very green pine kinda notes for me. Fresh and forest for me. Not getting much lemon
