It's a safe freshy. I enjoy the wafts I get through out the day. Nonheadache inducing clean, tea with a bit of floral sweetness. A no brainer for days you're not sure what to wear. This is clean and easy. It's quite nice and I would repurchase.

AEons327

My signature scent and one of my absolute favorites. The top notes dissipate quickly, but the heart and base notes last longer and then fade away subtly. I think it's appropriate for daytime, but I tend to wear it more in the evenings. This is the fragrance I get the most compliments on, even from complete strangers. I think it's a general crowd-pleaser and one that would work well for a lot of people, but flies under the radar just enough that it's not too common. It reminds me of romantic spring and summer evenings, like a candlelight dinner on a gardened terrace.

miyawakiri

i really really wanted to love this but it kinda smelled like henna on my skin. if someone gave it to me i would probably use it occasionally but i wouldnt buy it.

ginandjuicee

It is cute and really feminine but a little boring and generic. All of the ingredients seem to be lovely and blended well although they lack an edge that would make it outstanding. I think that this would be a great blind buy for gifts as it seems to be super inoffensive, there is enough sweetness for those who like the sweeter perfumes (although it is more sugary rather than gourmand) and enough tartness for those who prefer them fresh.

_NicoleNonya

A great freshie. I love the citrus. Perfect from tropical weather.

CherylTomaatje

To me (and on me) it is the perfect light fresh citrus/floral scent! If you are like me and dislike bergamot because it makes you smell nothing else, this is the right citrus for you too. The opening is a tiny bit sharp because of the lemon, and it quickly does to this lovely watery-tea scent for hours on end. It is intimate though, so don't expect a ton of strength from this perfume. It is clean, light, fresh and feminine because of the background floral notes. You cannot go wrong with this perfume and I hope they never stop making it!

LauramaK

Absolutely beautiful! This is a light, fresh citrusy floral. The opening is tart and there's a pink pepperish note which is probably the cranberry. The Lemon blends wonderfully with the tartness of the tea and creates a fresh, crisp aroma that's superb for hot days and warm months. After about 20 minutes the jasmine and peony begin to be noticed and they create a soft, ultra-feminine fragrance. It conjures up memories of romantic walks down secluded lanes in Sydney's Lane Cove area on warm summer days between hedgerows of jasmine as the sun begins to set. It's a sublime scent! The waterlily gives AoD a lovely aquatic and sweet fragrance. There's a peach note that begins at about 40 minutes in and this seems to be the blending of the florals with the cranberry and lemon.
It moves to a skin scent after an hour and doesn't last long. Also, while the bottles are beautiful the tops tend to be difficult to place correctly and can be problematic. The price of Ange ou Demon le secret is a bit exorbitant if you're on a budget. I loved the fragrance so much I bought 2 bottles so I wouldn't run out. It's become one of my signature scents and my go-to fragrance when I want to feel uplifted. It is both comforting and calming while being uplifting and energising at the same time.

AutumnJewel

Note For Myself: This was my favorite fragrance when I was 15
Such a soft fresh clean floral … something special about it! Decently long lasting considering it is a fresh fragrance… I would say it can be worn all year day or night.

takema

This fragrance is one of my favourite spring fragrances. It opens as a bright and fruity tea. Both the lemon and cranberry gove it a strong tartness, but there is a pleasant sweetness as well. I find the sweetness grows as it dries down. A lot of the sweetness seems to come from the patchouli, which is a a clean and green patchouli that pairs quite nicely with the tea note.

There is only a hint of the original Ange ou Demon EDP in this flanker. I notice it, but I have to look for it. All of the darkness and depth from the original was left out of this one. This one could have been simply called Ange, there is nno demon in this bottle.

I have had excellent performance with Ange Ou Demon Le Secret. It lasts all day, 10+ hours omn skin and even longer on clothes. It has solid projection, a little beyond arms length for much of the wear time. For the last few hours it stays pretty close to the skin. This is a warm weather fragrance for me. I love the tart, juiciness in the opening on a warm day, or when I want to imagine a warm day.

I own both this formula (as pictured) and the more recent one. This review is for the older formulation. I do find there is minimal difference between them though. This one has a slightly deeper and more rounded sweetness, while the new formula is lighter and more tart. I smell little difference in the dry down with the older formula being a little more patchouli heavy. The performance is pretty similar with this one being a little better, but both are pretty long lasting. I don't find them different enough to hunt down one bottle over the other, but if they are both available for the same price, I would choose the older one.

I kinda hate the caps on all the Ange ou Demon bottles. They fit poorly. They are also a little awkward to recap, they have to sit just right but the difference between the front and back of the cap is pretty subtle.

Sunkissed

I used to own the original AoD but I ended up giving it away.
I went to the shop and tried this after sniffing several fragrances and liked it a lot. It's not as bold, mysterious and sensual as the original... In fact I wasn't really reminded of the original at all! But it brought a smile to my face with its lovely sweetness. That's a bit surprising to me because I'm not the biggest fan of "pink" fragrances, if that makes any sense.
A personal negative point is that my husband didn't care for it, but he wasn't a fan of the original either. Oh well!
I had tried so many perfumes that day that I was a bit overwhelmed when I tried this. So this is a reminder to myself to give it a try again when I'm ready to purchase a new fragrance.

doette

Way too citrusy and soapy, quite literally smells like fairy dish wash - the dry down is more floral but barely feminine or appealing at all, absolutely no seductive quality that the name would hint at, so disappointed.

terigurl

I love the opening so much but the opening doesn't last long. The patchouli takes over after about 10 min and it's not my favorite. If the opening lasted longer I would enjoy it more. It does last quite a while. Great for all year use.

Rose du soir

On a hot Summer evening, inside a freshly watered garden, under a pergola covered with jasmine, a woman drinks cranberry tea and lemonade. Fantastic Summer perfume, with great longevity and sillage thanks to its fresh and green patchouli base. Doesn't fit its name at all, as it's quite inoffensive and its sillage is not really a "secret". The citrine colored bottle is beautiful. A perfume to try for those who have difficulties finding a fresh and easily wearable patchouli or lemon without sharpness.

stellaryellow

This is my favorite perfume of all time since 2014, and I used to work at the Macy's fragrance counter so I've smelled a lot of perfumes, but none even come close to this beauty. It's such a complex floral, containing all 3 of my favorite floral notes, and my favorite base note, patchouli. It's my personality rolled into one bottle; ultra-feminine (the delicate florals), artistic (woodiness of the patchouli and woods), and a bit edgy (tartness of the lemon and cranberry), hence the secret I guess. It doesn't last long and it's expensive, and I hope they continue to manufacture it forever. It only lasts a couple of hours and doesn't have good sillage but I'm so in love with it that I don't mind.

tempbee123

I'm surprised that I liked this so much because I'm not really into floral fragrances but I love this. It smells really fresh and floral but also sweet. Smells really good paired with Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb lotion.

Ellsa

Poor sillage and longevity, I like the original formula way better.

DawnNdyria

I just love this fragrance I've worn it for some years now. I like to think of this as my signature scent very light as well as a bit fruity with some zest. This is one perfume that I would never want to not have in my collection I find it to be very long lasting on my skin as well as my clothes and just love the way it makes me feel sometimes I even wear it to bed because it's not so overpowering.

ceeceelee

On me, I smell the tea, cranberry and lemon for about 5 seconds before patchouli shoves its leafy head in there. If I could have this fragrance with just those 5 seconds I'd love it, but I can't, so it's just ok.

asjkfbs653

This smells like Zewa toilet paper with peach 🍑

PiperOK31

I got a second hand one from somebody online and it was made in 2011. It's AMAZING. Where have you been all of my life? OMG, Givenchy please never stop making this. This is absolutely gorgeous. So easy to wear for any occasion and inoffensive. I smell every note in here individually. The most prominent notes to my nose are lemon, tea, and cranberry. Such a beautiful combination. The lemon smells like real freshly squeezed lemon and not synthetic at all. Really happy I found this.

grapefruit352

I just got an original version of this fragrance, before reformulation of 2014. What can I tell? Its AMAZING fragrance, like it was those some years ago, when I tested it first time. It is incredible feminine, sexy, lightly fresh and deep fragrance at the same time. I know a lot of other perfumes with kinda similar pyramid notes, but Ange Ou Demon Le Secret..I can compare only with the line of Givenchy Ange ou Demon..there is nothing else that would or could remind it even a bit! Somebody says it can be found cheaper analogues of an expensive perfumes..for those who wants to believe that it can be found..but for my nose, there is always the difference between all the fragrances.
Nowadays Ange Ou Demon line, including Le secret is not too popular and became a little bit..rare already? So, for the people it will be really a secret, until you tell them what is on you.
Of course price is biting, but I am gonna use it slowly on some nice occasions, for to make sure it really lasts. Of course..LOVE from me!

ciobanu.andreea

What a shame, Givenchy!I loved Exravagance, Fleur d'Interdit!
Their sillage, projection and longevity were outstanding. But this perfume, though a wonderful scent is gone in 10 minutes.
And it also costs a fortune. Honestly, I will never waste 100 dollars for a 30 ml bottle just to have it totally consumed in 2 weeks!

Farangismua

Love this perfume! It is one of my favorites. I like to wear it summertime tho. I get a bunch of compliments on it. Its very feminine and girlie. And you can smell the flowers and citrus combo! Just what a girl needs

Malleable

I like the cranberry opening and that it's a light summer scent, but unfortunately after drydown it just smells too generic for my tastes.

bel.gravia

I have never been so madly in love with a perfume in my entire life! I applause Givenchy for this marvelous masterpiece! I can't help but smile every time I wear it.. Ange ou Démon le Secret is a perfume I would make myself if I was given a chance. It has all my favourite notes- lemon and tea at the top, my most ever loved flowers- jasmine, peony and water lily in the middle and patchouli with woodsy notes in the drydown.Perfect. A perfect match for me, feels like my natural scent, like my second skin, completes me. This perfume is slightly sweet, but not annoying, full of grace and freshness. So light, so delicately flowery, but not utterly innocent- it is called Ange ou Démon le Secret afterall. The perfume is not entirely angelic (but definetly more on that side) it has a secret which draws it back from being heavenly innocent. So, even the name is 100% accurate and the bottle is amazing and the color of juice is so delightful.

jasmina_

According to the notes - its everything i ever wanted. The first spray is beautiful - its freshly brewed herbal tea and cranberries. Its so nice, soft, fresh, uplifting I wish it would smell like that for hours.

Unfortunately it fades in like 10 minutes. Then I can smell some fresh flowers, peony... i even get a bit rose, but its not listed. This freshness too fades in 5-10 minutes...

and I am left with green tea. But not the nice freshly brewed one, but a stale cup of green tea which has been sitting all day long and was too strongly brewed.

All in all I like it, and hope in the summer time it will stay longer fresh on my skin.

nyteshade

This is beautiful!!! I love the idea of fragrances with tea, and this is done so beautifully! The first time I smelled it, I immediately thought this is a perfume of someone who really has their stuff together! Mature, but not dated. Light, but still commands attention. Crisp, yet sultry. After wearing for a few hours, I finally got why this was named Ange Ou Demon. It's full of magical contradictions. You wouldn't think tea, lemon and cranberry could equate sexy, but this does somehow.

sibaraa

This is gorgeous. A fresh floral with a hint of iris in the dry down.

Coffee King

It's a terrific fragrance, one that has an almost soothing effect. The tea note is absolutely wonderful, improve it, I also get the cranberry and lemon notes as listed, but I detect musk in the dry down also. It's quite soft in terms of projection, but it lasts ages, so different to the original, but le Secret has a unique, strong character.

tandem_4x4

I finally bought this version from the local ad site. I like it and it is nice light day fragrance. Tea and sweet sour berries.

My male friend told me it smells old style :-(

Fortunately I only paid $20 for a bottle.

mevans

Florals are predominant, some sweetness. Similar to Ange Ou Demon but not quite as unique. I don't mean that in a bad way. It's a fresh, clean, inoffensive scent that is good for any occasion.

SoraM

Ange Ou Demon Le Secret has been my signature scent for the last 10 years ever since I first smelt it in an airport dutyfree store when it was first launched. I am just crazy about this scent. I love smelling the nozzle, I love the first burst, the dry down, how it smells on skin and clothes, bed linen, all of it. Which makes describing it really hard for me.

To be honest, I can’t differentiate the notes in this scent (although I can for other perfumes) because to my nose, it’s so well blended. I can’t smell cranberries, for example, nor the jasmine (which I am normally wary of). Is there lemon and green tea? In so much that it smells so fresh to me, I guess. Some reviewers call this a fruitchouli but I would call it more of a chypre as my description of it is “bright, refreshing, sophisticated and sexy” and it lacks that strong sweetness a lot of modern modern perfumes have. In closing, Le Secret doesn’t remind me of anything but itself—so isn’t that a characteristic of a great perfumes?

delightme5

This is a delightful take on the ou demon series.
It sits definitely somewhere in-between ange ou demon and le parfum accord illicit and elixir. If you have a hard time grasping those, try this - and this is about this for now.

Crisp, refreshing - (thank you green tea, lemon and tart cranberry).Tho dont think your getting a citrus..
It has its share of sweetness too tho not cloying and possibly making you feel like a sweet gourmand is occuring but in such a lighthearted way - the initial refreshing berry and lemon stop it from reaching that domain.

It is attractive and once it has sucked you in with its sweet talk, there is, to me, a wood type persistent benzoin like thread that lingers lightly (almost ghostly). Its this end phase that may deal break for some and this is also why it contributes to being unisex. Get real feed back from real friends on that. Coz it may not be for you.

tittertat

I cant say i like this...something sharply herbal odd celery note that's more common in mens perfumes. I guess i could see the earl grey tea comparison but bitter tea notes arent my thing.

leda_ripa

Nice soft scent. It has a herbal tea note and a bit of sweetnes.

Viktoria-en

Everyone knows this scent. So crisp, fresh, feminine and wearable with a little bit of sweetness. This is truly a classic. My favourite. I've received many and many compliments on this. This reminds me of the dew after rain, when everything is quiet and fresh. This is the scent I always go back to.

2023 edit: Byredo Mixed Emotions (2021) instantly reminded me of this scent, Ange Ou Demon Le Secret (2009).

greyhoundmom

This is so tart and juicy, I love it! New favorite! As if my favorite doesn't change every other day.. that's okay though! That's what keeps the hobby interesting :)

This opens with a burst of cranberry, lemon, and tea.. fresh and zingy.. the same green tea note that Elizabeth Arden Green Tea has. In fact, Le Secret really could be yet another Green Tea flanker.. a cranberry limeade/lemonade version. It settles into a thick, warm musk that adds a lot of depth and feels satisfying for this fragrance.

Just a very enjoyable scent, I love it far more than I thought I would. I'm a big fan of Ange ou Demon and this is incredibly different in notes and vibe but very beautiful in its own right.

For this type of fragrance I would expect a light, faint presence, especially on my perfume-eating skin.. for me, projection and longevity is an issue with many fragrances, which can be frustrating. Le Secret is quite strong, surprisingly...it really blooms and flourishes with body heat. Long-lasting and loud!

rumari47

I used to really enjoy this fragrance when I first bought it. It was unique. Floral, citrus and a lovely tea note. Longevity on me was 6-8 hours.
I made the mistake of wearing this once during my morning sickness phase of my pregnancy. Now every time I smell this perfume I get extremely nauseated and a headache. I tried putting it away for a while so that I could fall in love again but no...
Unfortunately, this is going on my sell/swap list.
Update: bottle is sold

Bioluv

I wish i could find it cheaper somewhere. I absolutely adore this perfume but haven't seen it anywhere since my dad gifted it to me back in 2011 or so. Now i just discovered it but its pricey. It may not be the best of perfumes but it has a lot of nostalgia attached to it.
It smells beautiful and sophisticated. I guess i loved the green tea and cranberry combo which gave it a sweetness but it wasn't sickenly sweet. I dont really know how to differentiate flowers yet lol but there was definitely florals in this that just wrapped up this exquisite package beautifully. I can't remember how good the sillage was though...
Update: I was wondering, would it make more sense to just get the le secret elixir for longevity or not?
Do they smell very much alike?

EDIT: I just got my hands on this beauty and it smells just as I remember. The lemon is way toned down here in comparison to the 2014 reformulation and I’M IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN!!! I’ve started worrying what I’ll do when it’s finished but instead I think I’ll just take it slow and enjoy the ride till then. I’ll cross that bridge when I get there lol
The longevity is impressive for what it is; it lasted almost the entire day on my skin. Don’t know about sillage tho. Honestly with a scent this great, as long as I can smell it, i’m good

UnearthlyApothecary

I remember picking up a mini bottle of this at a Beales Outlet once years ago and I thought it smelled very mature and awful. I can’t believe from looking at the notes here that it was the same scent. (Citrus? Tea? Patchouli?) from the notes listed, I should love it! I would really like to try this again now to see if I still feel the same about it. I’m too afraid to blind buy it but would love to swap for it if anyone is interested.
UPDATE: I finally swapped for a bottle with a lovely Canadian fragrantican.
I don’t see much similarity with the original which I absolutely adore, but I also don’t dislike it as much this time around. It is a little sharp (and tart!) at first but it does settle down. It’s a nice fresh tea with berries and patchouli, not too green or aquatic or ozonic or any of those other things I usually dislike about “fresh” scents. Maybe won’t love it as much as the original but I think I will wear it a lot this summer, it’s a perfect hot weather patchouli.

Bubbles1964

I think this is what is known as a fruitchouli. Super fruity and too much of a sweet bomb. Headache inducing with a sharp, synthetic opening. Hard pass.

agrt16

Kendelem1999

Okay, I know this is going to sound crazy to most but this, to me smells very similar to Miss Dior Cherie. How or why I have not a clue. I own both so I know them both well. Wondering if I am perhaps not alone in this comparison

Midnight Lady

I get lots of cranberries with a bit of zesty lemon and patchouli. Very fruity and sweet frag. I kinda liked the opening but once it settled, it all got too synthetic for me.

Sorry, but it's a no from me.

unlitcigar

I wonder why people share flankers of the same scent in 'reminds me of' section. It leaves no space for other smell alike scents.

Parchment

An almost sickly sweet scent, very reminiscent of the Stella by Stella McCartney perfume, but less heavy and instead fresher and lighter.
The pink color is very fitting as it reminds me of cotton candy and what it might smell like. Combined with citrusy notes and the slightest hint of tea it makes for a perfume verging on the edge of being too much, but it still manages to stay sophisticated.
I have not seen marketing for this perfume in europe, but have seen marketing in the middle east - and it makes sense as it is very sweet and has an incense quality to it. As mentioned it shares the sickly sweet scent of peony with the stella perfume, but the tea and middle eastern notes makes for a more refined experience and makes it less suffocating, creating a middle and top that stands out as an contrasting edge to a heavy overwhelming base. You definitely smell feminine and it could quickly become a bit too much. I used to wear it when I was younger and dressed very masculine as an extreme contrast.
Even though it smells so sweet it also reminds me of old books and parchment, perhaps it smells a bit like that scented stationary that was once popular.
This perfume is cotton candy and old parchment for the sophisticated woman who is über feminine.

PRALINE210

Discovered this perfume by accident and fell in love with it. The first note has an apple note to it but this changes. It has clear top notes of tea and cranberry which blend beautifully with each other Actually the name is rather unsuitable! The middle notes emerge after half an hour and the smell gets more rounded. This is the kind of perfume which is suitable for work, during the day and even for the night. I got the full 100 ml bottle so I intend to enjoy using it as much as possible ;)

sassa7

Im wearing Hello Beauty by La Rive now, not yet listed on Fragrantica - notes are:
TOP NOTES: lemon, black currant, green tea
HEART NOTES: jasmine, water lilly, raspberry, peony
BASE NOTES: white musk, cedarwood, patchouli.
So no cranberry, but black currant instead and added note is raspberry and musk. Possible dupes.

I think its close to Ange Ou Demon, might be softer(better to me lol). Hello Beauty also has the same vibe with Mon Jasmin Noir L'exquise, its softer tho and lots of lemon, no almond - they belong in the same spicy, citrusy green tea family. Im a sucker for Tea, musky woody perfumes. If you like this, ull like Hello Beauty, bought mine for 12 bux.. crazy price, so I go all out without feeling im minus 5 bux at each spray haha.

perfumeglam87

Hmm this smells exactly like Victoria's Secret Love is Heavenly & Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Summer & Tropical & Exotic. Almost the same notes as well. It's nice and something easy for shiny warmer spring and summer days. Fresh, clean, semi-sweet, pretty and preppy!

Linh96

Fresh, fruity, not too sweet, this scent is for young, feminine, elegant girl. I thought I would never find my signature until smelling it from my friend. Now I'm obsessed with this one and dying to buy a full-size. After getting a spray from my friend, i think both the longevity and sillage are pretty good. Because kind of a floral (-fruity?) scent, I didn't expect too much. About the name, there's no "demon" in it :P

bibibling

I just received my sightly used (98% full) bottle of Ange ou Etrange Le Secret EDP today and I am overjoyed! First of all, it smells exactly the same as the 2009 Ange ou Demon Le Secret EDP (according to the batch code it was made in 2010!) which is the scent I was actually looking for, NOT the 2014 version, and secondly... I only paid $11 for it. The lady just had it forever and never used it and NOW IT'S MINE!!!

SO. "Ange ou Etrange?" you ask? Well, apparently in some countries, people just aren't into buying things with words like demon or devil or satan on them, which perfectly makes sense, so it says Etrange instead. I verified this on a few websites just in case this lady was trying to sell me a fake.

Anyway, I guess I should probably talk about the scent now! It's the same as I remember it when it first came out. A very slightly grassy green tea with notes of a barely-sweet bitternes of grapefruit skin, like that scent it makes when you snap the peeled skin into smaller peaces? It might be (whatever chemicals that represent) lemon+cranberry+jasmine all combining together to give that impression. After a few hours, it settles into a soft cinnamon-y red tea skin scent.

One more thing I can say is don't overspray. 1-2 is more than enough. And when you spray, don't immediately shove your nose in it because you'll get an alcohol bomb. Just leave it alone for 30-45 seconds.

Last one more thing: I love this because besides being a perfume freak, I also have tea issues, which explains why I had to hunt down the original 2009 version of this thing. (The green tea offerings from other perfume houses just weren't right.) So I'd say don't blind buy. At least smell the 2014 version and then mentally delete certain notes. If you love all the Ange ou Demon flankers though then go for it.

And finally: OMG I HAVE IT AT LAST! YAY!

Fragrantnatic

I have been thinking about this fragrance for months and finally I now own a 10 mil bottle. It did not disappoint! This scent is more of the tea , maybe a 60% of the composition, definitely the tea is there and so is the cranberry, well maybe a good 30% of the scent, and a 10% for any citrus if there was.. . Sillage is moderate and this lasts around 3 hours on me. Not really bad but not outstanding either. Would I purchase the big bottle..? I'm really not sure though.

A nice daytime scent, I'd give it a 3.9 out of a 5.

iamoir

Basically if you like the general idea of Flowerbomb Victor&Rolf, but hate the surypy sweetness it has, you can try Le secret flanker and you will not be disappointed, in my opinion.

Green? Are you kidding me? Nothing green here, or I must be testing a wrong perfume, sorry. Fresh and citrusy, yes. Overall, this is a very good blend of fruit and floral. Very balanced feminine scent. The right amount of sweet, not a sugar bomb, but just enough.

Drydown: imagine that you're drinking a fruity tea with some sugar-lemon candy thingies that we throw somethimes in the tea instead of sugar or lemon. Dries soft and balmy. Now this is not anything groundbreaking, but worthy of a sniff... similar perfumes that come to my mind are Eau Tendre Chanel and Eros Pour Femme Versace, which of course is far more sugary.

Sweet done right. A yes from me

bettybee983

I wanted to love this so badly, but I am reminded of my childhood hamster and how she always smelled like cedar wood chips. That's what this smells like to me. :( :( :(

alphabetababy

EDIT: Apparently other people around me could smell this. They acknowledge that i'm wearing perfume and they said i smell very nice. Hahaha really don't know what is wrong with my nose

Too soft, i barely could smell this :(
Got this as a vial, i really need to dab it quite a lot if i want to smell it. Otherwise i almost smell nothing.
This such an unfortunate because Ange ou Demon Le Secret actually a beautiful scent. Is it because of the name Le Secret that we can hardly smell anything?
In a very short time which i could smell the scent, i got the white flowers, jasmine and green tea leaves. Very well blended. And i also got the lemon a bit before all gone..
Really really sad because this could be a very beautiful scent if only we could smell it

crossfitqueen

I just gor this amazing scent! I totally LOVE it! It's fresh but sweet yet floral. Sensual but serious and sophisticated at the same time.I just can't get enough of it.Same category as Bright Crystal from Versace. I can say that I'm a fan of Givenchy's fragrances now I have 4 perfume of this house and love them all. Thank You Givenchy for the most amazing perfumes!!

li_day

Fresh and soothing, the scent is just like an iced cranberry tea.
It’s juicy, but not too sweet. The prominent tea note and the citrus there surely give a refreshing and vibrant aspect to the fragrance. The floral notes give a feminine side to the fragrance too but above all I would say Ange our Demon Le Secret is carefree and cheerful.
It’s been my go to fragrance for summer on those sunny and hot days that I wanted something cool and lightly sweet. However, I must say the staying power is better in spring or at the beginning of autumn. I’ve never got more than 3 and a half or 4 hours of longevity, but that’s what I usually get on these kind of fragrances.
To my surprise, it’s one of my most complimented perfumes, compliments coming from both men and women. “Lovely” is the adjective they mostly used. :)

mnemozina79

I have the initial version of this gem. So sad it was reformulated!!! I still have some of it left. I had a 100ml bottle of it, but lost a box. So I decanted it into atomizer, and put it away from the elements, use it only on special occasions. Ridiculous as it sounds, I still keep the bottle, do not ask me why.
It is long lasting, around 10 hours on me.
Starts with cranberry, lemon and tea.
It's almost mouthwatering.
I can fill the sourness, bitterness and the sharpness of the cranberries, the real forest berries. Have you ever tried one???
It is so well blended into patch-jasminy goodness, that I can name them (patch and jasmine) THE base notes.
I can vouch for the staying power of this juice.
Then again, people are different.
For example, Shalimar does not stay on me more than 30 min, and the only note I get is Leather from the Perfume version , and Bergamot from everything else in the line.
Maybe I'm a Jasmine person.

singlebilingual

Really surprised that so many people mark its longevity as very low. On me it lasts the whole day! Not so intensive as in the begin, but it's still there. Furthermore, a lot of other perfumes smell on me not long at all and then I think "oh how I wish this would last as long as AOD does!"

It's really one of the kind. The one you recognize out of thousand. The combination of tea, citrus, cranberry, jasmine makes it outstanding. Very light and fresh, without any single not of heaviness. Lovely, easy to wear and safe (but don't use too much, for me 1-2 sprays are more than enough).

lulami

Such a fresh, delicate and lovely scent. It's so well blended that the notes form a perfect composition without any of them being overpowering. It's definitely a romantic perfume in my opinion, worn for a nightdate with a white little dress and minimal make up, just rosy cheeks and lip shimmer, somewhere near the sea, where you can hear the beach waves hitting the seaside and why not even dabble the feet. If I had to choose between ange ou demon, which one best represents the scent I would say it's ange. The bottle is quite elegant but I'm afraid the staying power on skin or clothes isn't of the best out there, and considering the high price it comes with I'm not sure I would like to spend my money for it, at least for now.

michaela.gaffke

Love this perfume!! Lasts forever on my skin, I sprayed it before bed and woke up still smelling it! So fresh and delicious!

mahlaa

I am in very deep love with it...but unfortunately the lasting power is so poor that i refused buying it...
So disapointing...what a pity, such a great smell has such a poor lasting power.
It smells like heaven.so clean, fresh. I can't describe it well. It is one of the best perfumes i have ever smelled.
Well done with the smell Givenchy.

Kai'elle

I get a very light citrus tea and soft floral. Fresh, just showered scent. Certainly no mysteriousness or sexiness in this one.

L: Very low (I got about 15 mins out of it)
S: Kidding right?

Sorry Givenchy.. I need far more bang for my buck than this...

ladyarizel

Goodness! I have a sample vial of this., hated it at first. There came a period in my life when my peaceful life crumbled. Because of this, I developed a dark and demonic side just like this perfume. Now I'm so addicted to it it's intoxicating I can't live without this. Got to get a full-sized bottle asap. Going to try perfumes on this line too.

Madrona

What a bright, blissful scent! This is the happiest fragrance I have ever had the pleasure of smelling. Sour wine gums in the opening, but far from childish, delectable cranberry tea follows. Lovely, just lovely.

Hellokt

this one is very sour on me, and baby powder-ish. lasted for 4 hours or more, but didn't like any level of it.

michelllee_a

This is such a pretty fragrance. It's fresh, floral, citrus notes make it a perfect daytime scene, but it has a sexiness to it that makes it perfect to wear at night too.

This is a perfume I'll definitely continue to repurchase.

Jurisprude

This is beautiful I'm hit with magnolia and I just love it. Citrus opening with a clean fragrance developing. It reminds me more of amarige than angel or demons. Love it.

Nikinoo

I really love this one. It has that lovely leathery scent to it on my skin. I'd say the sillage isn't really to the point of offensive. It's close to the skin on me. I wish it had more of a presence to it but I still enjoy it I reach for it every so often. I spritz it on my pillow before bed and it leaves my hair smelling nice in between shampoos.

Neckromancer

I liked this! Very fresh, but also fruity. I smell red fruits, which must be due to the cranberry note. I'd buy this for a teenager...it is light and inoffensive. It is mainly citrus and I don't really smell tea. The fruits are in the background, but still distinguishable. I'm happy it doesn't have the strong cedar note that most citrus perfumes like Light Blue, Bright Crystal, and Aqua di Gioia have. This is one of the best summer scents out there. Very flirty. Lovely.

carolinaesp

Very soft and discreet, but it's still a nice sweet, floral perfume. It's funny how this one is so nice to my nose, while the original Ange ou Demon gives me an instant headache with just a sniff... the sweetness in there is just too much. Between this and Le Secret Elixir, I'd spend my money on the latter - Elixir is much more special.

pauroj

it starts very fruity very young , then it mellows to a clean very mildly powdery white floral , is ok , is very wearable , very polite , but there a tons of other perfumes that are clean and polite , not worth buying for me but if i get one as a present i would totally use it.

sillage is none existent

celebrity89

I'm really surprised that sour in not listed in the type list. I LOVE this one, along the lines of the sour/fruity scents in the Anna Sui line, Dolly Girl in particular.
Update: Close enough to Anna Sui Fairy Dance Secret Wish, I may not neet to buy this.

UnknownBecca

So feminine, fresh and romantic kinda perfume.❤

ell_bee

Love this, another reviewer was spot on when she mentioned the word "cheeky"... This is fresh, feminine, and innocent off first whiff, but let it hang around, there's something kinda naughty hovering right beneath the surface. Like that innocent fresh-faced girl in the office with her simple white blouse and pencil skirt on... And some kinky ass lingerie right underneath. The scent flirts softly, only mouths "come-hither" while others demand it out loud. Wear this to the office everyday or wear it to bed with your lover... I think it'll please either way.

Niya

I think i figured out the 'secret'.
You're supposed to flip the 'u' upsidedown and place it in front of the 'o' so it reads 'Ange no Demon'...because that's a much more apt name for this.
It's so sweet and linear, the misnomer is almost frustrating!

Expect NO sillage from this and longevity is a joke! Waste of a gorgeous bottle.

Dafja

THIS IS GORGEOUS! Fresh, sweet, slightly powdery, spicy.
Amber&Honey, Lemon, Talc, Red and Black pepper just a tiny bit.

Lasting power on clothing= all day
On skin= 4 hour

MadMadamMimm

I like it, but citrus and tea is just not my scent. It's a little too wholesome for me. Ange ou Demon? No question. This is all ange, no demon.

vitabhaya

You think this is delightful and cheeky now?! Try layering it with some men's fragrances! Yummy, and definitely more of the "demon" aspdct. ;)

AnnaT

Beautiful bottle beautiful top note! I am miserable because it lasts 15 minutes on me. Maybe because of hot humid weather?

Edit: in cooler and drier weather, it does last an hour or two. But I get more tea while in hotter weather I get more lemon.

Kbt71

I have had this sitting unopened for possibly a year. Today Easter Bank Holiday Monday with the sun out is the day I decide I have to test.

Its initial spray was zesty citrus with other fruits mainly. However I was within 20 minutes wrapped in the most gorgeous smell ever - I can only describe it as a silk flowered cloak. I could see me wearing this to a variety of places... Work, lunch or even just by the pool on holiday sipping a margarita!

Sillage is good, longevity good - 5 hrs later I can still smell it, my daughter keeps hugging me x so reasonable rating for both.
I can see this being a favourite for me, i would rebuy!
More ou demons need to be tested me thinks?
The notes in Ange ou demon le secret elixir peaks my interest!

smedmark

I love le Secret! I am energized smelling it. It feels flirty and alluring, cheeky, naughty. Yesterday, with this scent on, I envisioned Amy Winehouse in a low rider somewhere in Los Angeles county with the top rolled down on a hot LA day. Or some scene out of practically any Quentin Tarantino film, think Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction -- kind of fit for a bad girl, the one who'll steal the man from the boring ass skank wearing Juicy Couture.

MartaL

Ange Ou Demon Le Secret Givenchy comes across sharp and cold. It would suit a mature lady in a hot summer day. I personally prefer other Ange de Givenchy. Those who are warmer and welcoming.

phanhtofu

Very beautiful top and middle notes. Young and joyful scent for a summer day.
However, too much patchouli base makes my skin smell very masculine. I would love this best without the base notes

loonad

i used this perfume from november 2014 to january 2015,basically during the summer here in Mauritius and let me just say that this is lovely and classy.the tea note is very present in this scent but it is very smooth and nicely done.the cranberry brings a wonderful zing to this perfume and the end result is a freshness which is feminine and classy.

kmdrcla

Mmm, reminds me of a glass of pink lemonade on a summer's day. Tangy, sweet, refreshing. A little bit mouthwatering. For awhile I thought I didn't like this perfume, but now I know I just wasn't wearing it correctly. For me, this is a perfume that must be worn on the skin to reach its full potential. Before, when I was spraying it more on my clothes, it would get too sharp and almost overripe-smelling. But when I apply it on my skin, particularly warmer regions like knees/wrists, it develops SO much better and turns into a lovely bright fruity floral that isn't too anything. Nicely balanced, tangy but also relatively soft, and pleasant. I can see myself wearing this a lot in the summer. So glad I gave this perfume another chance!

denizz

It is a sexy unique smell and not heavy. And luckily it is not very popular between women :)

kaypops

Just got a full size bottle of this with my scent certificate at Sephora and I am in love! It smells absolutely beautiful. I feel like it can be worn anytime. I never would have been able to afford this if it weren't for that scent certificate! I'm going to use it very sparingly because it's so good!

DaisyChain90

I adore this fragrance. The perfect day scent for me, very fresh and citrusy. Very underrated and forgotten about, but such a classic. I was really surprised when I first tried this. Definitely one I want to purchase. It's spring in a bottle.

wayway2hotinaz

Cranberry at first, then Lemon Tea (lots and lots of lemon tea)....that's about all I get from it....and it is soft and weak. 4 hours in, I'm getting woody flowers...but I really gotta push my wrist into my nose to smell it, what a shame, it's lovely. Was hoping for more.

Dara813

This is definitely a fresh fragrance; that is an absolutely perfect way to describe it. Oh and beautiful. I have always loved scents with green tea in them and there are so few that are actually of good quality. I'm so glad I finally found this! I was recommended so many different frags with a tea note in them but they either didn't last, didn't smell of tea, or didn't smell good at all. Finally, a wonderful sales woman (well she was actually more of a fragrance expert) in a little boutique in Key West recommended this to me and I've been in love ever since. It is the best and most high quality rendition of a fresh green tea/citrus scent in my opinion.

bouncy_britt

I smelled this for the first time when I received a free sample from Sephora, on holiday in Paris. This perfume is a beautiful blend of class and femininity, which I am in love with. I find the Jasmine, peony and tea notes are the strongest, with only a suggestion of the berries, but that may just be me :) definitely something I would buy again!

Thelma Scents

It started off with Lemon and Green tea. Those hit me first. Before the white flower...floral hit I got. But its the drydown that I love! Splendid. The Patchouli dances with Jasmin and the nuances of Green tea lingers. Well made. Intriguing just like Uma Thurman.

Andi Rrr

I'm confused by this scent. I have been wearing it for weeks and cannot identify with it. It doesn't smell like anything I know, which is probably why it doesn't evoke any particular emotion or sensation. It smells good- it is a sweet and watery scent with a little bit of tartness, so it is cool and refreshing for the hot summer days. I just wish it had a little more substance and depth, more presence, a more serious base. The lightness and superficiality makes me think it is better suited for someone in their early 20s or younger.

kathy_g

Very strawberry-soapish on me. Pleasant but no more...I cannot associate this perfume with any special events or feelings, just good quality unoffensive scent i can use everywhere. No head-turner.

saintfaith

I've gotten so many compliments on this perfume. Everyone I know is quite impressed with it. I also enjoy it every once in a while. I have to be in the right mood. It smells a little young, but not so much as to put you off.

pansylady

Tea with lemon- just the way I like it!

BTW, this is one of the few fragrances that I've smelled lately with patchouli that keeps it nice and subtle.

babypink_fairish

Exactly as Ansamo said, wow! This is just wow!
I love the smell. It's cold here due to rainy season + air con and the smell feels smooth and warm, homey and cuddly. But also somewhat sweet and a little floral-ish.
I wouldn't categorize it as fresh - it's not what came to my mind when I smell it, it's more warm and cuddly than fresh.
I really really love this. I just received this one from an online purchase and for the price, I'm so so glad it works. Can't stop sniffing myself (secretly) lol..
Top shelf quality.
I think I better stock up in this one.

Ansamo

wow, this is wow :D
it is so light and is good for a calm summer night ;)

beata.knopik.12

Love this fragrance, but unfortunately after 30 mins or so it dissapears. I think for money which I have spend fir the perfume longevity should be better!

Antares811

Beautiful scent. Very classy and feminine. It slightly reminds me of Omnia Indian Garnet. A gorgeous fresh floral. Recommended.

Phantosmia Bella

Sprayed in a very small quantity, I was pleasantly surprised.
Although this is a rather generic scent, it's a very nice, if a little synthetic, fruity-floral.
It starts with a nice, not too heavy white floral wave, and the dry down is more of a subtle, close to the skin fruity type (I'm surprised at the amount of lovely cranberries I get from it).

Not offending for everyday wear, and not as heavy as the original, this is a rather safe choice, IMHO.

Yet, since I can't make out anything really remarkable of it, not FB worth for me.

Juliana6

Sparkling, refreshing, transparent, joyful yet elegant and expensive!
I think it has almost nothing in common with the regular "Ange ou Demon" (except that curvy, captivating vibe which hugs you and keeps you close to it). This is a quite safe everyday scent, green, sweet, clean naturalistic flowers (I smell a perfectly clean, dewy jasmine) mixed with a strong touch of tea and citruses. Could I smell some light orange blossom too?
I was disappointed because I didn't get any cranberries, but then, in the drydown... a wonderful, full bodied, juicy cranberry with its inner sun and natural power, a red pearl, a natural jewel. And the base -the patchouli is very light and delightfully wrapped in those sophisticated woodsy notes. Beautiful for summer romance.

kasslee

This was a blind buy, I liked the concept, the name, the bottle. I think it's unusual and I definitely like it.

I get a 'fizziness' from this, like smelling lemonade or sparkling iced tea. It's very light, refreshing and feminine. The tea note is very prominent with a tart sweetness, not sugary. Every now and then I feel like I can smell paper?

I find this is a perfect scent for summer, or if you just want to feel clean, fresh and uplifted. It's not going to offend anyone. The only problem is that it does not last very long at all.

Lybarra118

Ange Ou Demon Le Secret has grown on me. I've come to really enjoy how different it is. First smell, I cringed. Second smell, I was confused. Third, fourth and fifth smell, I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. It was just so unusual. I finally decided to give it some time. After using it for a couple weeks, I almost decided to love it, if it only lasted longer than 3 hours on me.

There's a sweetness that comes from the cranberries, but it's a confusing kind of "sweet". It's not sugary. Really, how sweet is a cranberry? Not very, unless it's the canned/jellied kind you eat at Thanksgiving, in my opinion.

No vanilla here. There's also a lemon twang that gives the sweetness a nice twist. Then you throw in the patchouli and wood notes, and that gives it a bit of oomph.

Wowza! I ADORE unique perfumes! The only reason it's not a love for me (at least right now) is because of the staying power. I HATE having to re-apply perfume during lunch at work, but even so, this only lasts like 2 hours on me. It's a skin scent. Luckily the bottle is a great size for the price.

Skin scents really make me depressed. My favorite perfumes don't have to fill a room, but a bit of noticeability and impression would be nice.

nebbe

Top notes - I get tart, candied citrus. It is nice, the tartness takes the edge off of the sweet. Sugary fumes can trigger a headache for me, and now that I just gave my arm three sprays to test I can feel the muscles in my forehead and sinuses tighten. Whoops.

Initial thoughts are that this is a perfect scent for spring/summer high school/college years. In fact, I would definitely recommend gifting this to young women in that age range. The fresh tart/sweetness reminds me a bit of Light Blue, which is another point in Le Secret's favor.

Now that it has been 10-15 minutes, the sharper citrus note calmed down and I get the cranberry. I like it, but for myself there is the headache thing which prevents me from even purchasing a decant, much less a FB.

Note to self: re-think this gung-ho testing method. Perhaps start with 1 spray for the sweet fruity floral fragrances.

AnnBerg

White flowers, citrus and tea makes this perfume fresh, sophisticated yet girly. I find it very uplifting and it is quite longlasting.

Sweelty

I like this perfume a lot. I think it is a golden middle for everything: you can wear it all year around, you can wear it on a special occasion, and you can wear it every day. Those who hate heavy scents but need something for the evening go bet this one!

MandiPants85

This is one of my new faves. I love this one, at first sniff I thought it was unremarkable but my husband convinced me to give it another sniff but I wanted Givenchy Play. Then one weekend I was walking by in the Bay department store and a sales associate handed me the card with the perfume on it.... I fell in love, I had to have it!! So I went and bought, even before trying on my skin!! When I put it on, I feel like most on here, it is very energizing. I smell the cranberry predominantly and a hint of tea. I feel like I'm on fire wearing this and I think it energizes me to the extent I am actually more productive! The only drawback is the longevity is a little on the short side... but an excuse to layer it on and it smells wonderful|!

Cielo163

Ange ou demon le secret is just wonderful <3 its my signature scent and I always get compliments whenever I wear this. The scent is fresh, very sweet and relaxing. Tea is definitely the main note and it makes AOD Le secret not just a typical fruity floral perfume. It calms and energizes my soul to such an extent that none of my fragrances could do. The sillage and longevity is moderate but applying it with body lotion could make this perfume last longer.
Perfect for day time and romantic date. Such an angel <3

Saramoore78

This is probably my favorite perfume. It smells so good, like summer time. It is very fruity, and slightly floral. It smells so sweet. This can be worn when going out, or for everyday wear. I purchased the gift set of this which came with a 1.7 ounce bottle, a 3.4 ounce lotion, and a mini dropper bottle. Such a great buy.

polkadot27

Im in love with this fragrance. I actually believe it will become my signature scent very soon. I have a full bottle, but have just ordered my second and its not a cheap fragrance. Im scared i will run out of this fresh, clean, energizing juice. It is so uplifting and feminine, classy, elegant and sweet without been too sophisticated. I love it!

michelle.p.stpierre

Love the scent...indeed it smells like an angel, but the secret is, far too soon after applying (1-2 hours), it does a vanishing act....

That little devil!

Skye Wortley

I picked up a bottle of this, and I find it great! It's a fresh pretty perfume; fruity sweet, aromatic and floral. I also find it as a more "girly" version of ange ou demon le secret elixir.

The opening was mostly sweet cranberry, which was then toned down by lemon and aromatic tea. Somewhere in the middle I could smell jasmine which probably added a bit to the sweet note that the cranberry created. The dry down is woods and patchouli, which add sophistication to the scent.

It's a great perfume for spring and summer, and I think it's mostly for daytime. The lasting power isn't very strong though, but I recommend this scent anyway!

Eirlys

Ange ou Demon Le Secret is a fresh scent with hints of floral notes. The first spray kinda smells like I'm smelling lemon tea, and after 5 minutes the floral notes begin to evoke.

This is not the typical floral perfume in my opinion. I think the tea makes it less sweet and more special, not the usual fruity scent that's similar to everything out there.

The only thing I don't like about this perfume is that it doesn't last long on my skin. After a while I can only smell the tea and not the floral notes at all. With a price like this an an EDP, I thought it would last longer. But I don't mind re-applying this though, I love the lemon tea scent.

I probably wouldn't re-purchase this because of the poor longevity, but the smell is still really wonderful.

Hellita

I have this in my collection (a 30 ml bottle) and I have used a bit more than half of it. It's fresh, lightly floral, but still kind of a clean smell. It's pretty nice, I just stopped wearing it for some reason. I'm just waiting for a time for me to get back into it, as I need to use it up before it gets too old. Won't repurchase this one, but it's nice enough.

perfumejunkie75

This is a great fragrance. So clean and refreshing. The floral and citrus are mixed just right. I was sitting next to my mom and asked her what perfume she was wearing because I kept getting whiffs of it and it smelled so good. She said she didn't have perfume on and I remembered I had sprayed a little in the crook of my elbow to test it. That great smell was me!!! That to me was assurance that I'd picked a winner. I'll probably save it for spring as it is winter now and it seems to be one of those really uplifting perfumes when you're in a really happy, peppy mood and just want to be cute and sexy and confident. Not a mature fragrance but also not a super young teen toothache perfume. It's a carefree lovely scent that just makes me say "ahhhh.... I smell great today!"

YogaRose

Etheral, more of an "angel" than a "demon". The only demon part of this fragrance is that it might draw potential lovers in a coy manner.
A guy told me I smelled sweet like strawberries, though of course, strawberry is not a note. This is what I was hoping to get from the Green Tea EA fragrances.
It's Fresh, Sweet, Lemony...definitely Givenchy. Always get compliments. Not a seductive night fragrance, but it is seductive as a "Belle du Jour".

matereac9

unlike the original, this one works in favour with my skin. it smells sweet and sugary, but isn't sickening. it's noticeable, but not heavy and doesn't fill a room.
you have to be close to smell it, but not skin to skin. it's an "almost intimate" perfume. the kind that he catches the scent of as you walk away. he was close enough to fix the scent to you memory, but far enough away to need more.
i love it, and i wish i had reason to wear this more often.

Arlene-Beatrix

On my skin it was fresh & sweet at the same time. Very feminine, alluring, perfectly balanced. I donated it to my cousin, cause I had so many different bottles, and she had none! I regretted it almost instantly, really missing this fragrance. And my cousin uses it only on very special occasions, so very rarely. But, what is interesting, this scent did not change after 3 years from opening (start of spraying it). It is the same beautiful. That is why it is worth to buy quality perfume.

lauren.gonzalez.963

mmmm...the happy maker! I keep getting blasts of light flowers, then blasts of some kind of sexy succulent fruit. Also kind of shapoo-ish, but nonetheless, a scent that makes me feel like an expensive lady. Its very fresh and sweet without being super overpowering. Definitely on my want list once summer pops around again! The sillage is the most perfect one I've ever dealt with as it lasts all day but doesn't fill the room.

ScarlettX

It's one of my favorites. Really fresh and tender. Very suitable for spring time. It lasts days on clothes but not very long on skin.
This scent is outstanding in a delicate way.

cake n' cuddles

I got my bottle of ange ou demon le secret winter 2011 and it has brought me nothing but constant enjoyment. The fragrance is fresh, sparkling, subtle, and multi-faceted.
The strongest component to ADLE is the strong green tea note. 2nd is command is lemon and cranberry, which create a sweet/tart combination that reminds me of something almost starbucks.
The floral heart is soft, watery, and just a little bit powdery. It tickles my nose in a way, it's brighter than you would expect.
The dry down of patchouli and wood make ADLE extra special, I'm not sure I would have liked this fragrance as much if it had an incredibly light base. The fragrance so far has been so effervescent, like twinkling lights. The base adds this kick, although the fragrance remains delicate as a whole.
I've worn ADLE on new years eve, special occasions, and dates. To me it is a great fragrance to wear for a day you're feeling optimistic.

liban23

I stumbled upon Ange ou Demon Le Secret by chance, and it was love at first sniff. I have never been a fan of the original Ange ou Demon and thankfully the two are polar opposites.

Le secret is simple, clean, fresh and sexy. This is one of my most complimented perfumes. The blend of tea, citrus and floral is beautiful and is always my go to perfume when I don't know what to wear or when I'm feeling a little stressed out. I just find it to be really calming.

It is best worn in spring and summer, but I tend to wear it year round because I enjoy it that much. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh and sexy perfume that is appropriate for any setting.

PricklyAndHot

Light and nice fragrance.

First I feel the cranberry note, but then it quickly goes away, and most of all I feel the jasmine note on the fresh green tea leaves. I can't say that the water lily note is too noticeable. Luckily the patchouli note is almost unnoticeable, too. I feel a little bit woodsy notes in the base.

This fragrance is long-lasting on me and even has a sillage, despite it's light.

I'm not a fan of green tea leaves scent, so it's just not for me. But it's not bad.

Museumgal

Everytime I wear this, I'm instantly uplifted -- jasmine tea and citrus. It just makes me feel happy and energized. Great scent for going from a work setting into evening, very versatile and good for all occasions. Noticeable without being overwhelming.

mymlan

A spritz and go scent consisting of soft flowers and wood. Nice but generic. Perfect as a first scent but unimpressive for someone into vintage or niche.

polkadot27

I have this fragrance & i love it. It is a beautiful blend of ice tea, lemon, flowers & fresh linen, it is fresh feminine, natural & powdery. It isn't a strong fragrance that leaves trails, it is weak soft and sits close to the skin but it is supposed to... this is the ange! i have the demon also which is opposite in contrast. This one is soft sweet and innocent, i would say it is a morning autumn fragrance perfect for going for a tea or coffee or a light lunch it is a cosy warm and inviting perfume that is natural and sweet and endearing to all who comes into contact with it. It is impossible to hate this fragrance it is so unoffensive and it is simply feminine without being over the top. It is for the classy quiet and reserved young woman who only shows her playful mischievous side once in a while to certain special people. Like demon this fragrance draws you in, however, this one draws you in through subtlety and innocence and naivety, whereas demon is more dark bold and daring in contrast.

pipergirl

Fresh tea, citrus and jasmine. This fragrance is very light, airy, stays quite close to the skin but every once and a while I'll catch a pleasant scent in the air and I'll realize that it's my perfume. On me this unobtrusive and pretty scent lasts for over 4 hours. It smells expensive, high quality, an easy one to wear. Another one for my want list.

Julia25

When I first tried it I knew I need to buy my own bottle. I fell in love with combination of lemon, tea and jasmine. Now I finally have it, I still find it charming, gentle and feminine but not so much extraordinary. Sillage and longevity are quite poor and I need to re-spray myself few times a day.

satu.jarvenpaa

Ange Ou Demon Le Secret is one of my all time favourites. It makes me feel happy and safe - and it's wonderful to use at slightly colder fall mornings.

mariana7945

this perfume makes me really happy

chillalot

there are a lot of reviews stating that this fragrance does not last...I guess it depends on your own chemistry..I used 5 sprays this morning and could still smell the fresh/tart/musky floral goodness by 2 pm...6 hours later..I love this scent and you won't smell it on everybody else..its different and great on a hot day

anna.glowacka

Le secret is very classy and fresh scent, perfect for sunny summer day. It's very light but it has something which makes me wanna get my own bottle.
I get subtle whiffs of tea with jasmine. I was afraid it will be too green but it's perfectly well blended. Unfortunately lasting power is very poor, about 1 hour only on me. Definitely skin scent from the first spray till the dry down. Anyway, it's worth trying.

In sampling mode: I really like this scent, it's fresh and playful but not girly. Its a young adult perfume if i could give it an age and i think it can be worn any time anywhere. One small problem: this perfume, somehow and for reasons I cannot psychologically understand, made me extremely anxious, to the point where i was having a panic attack with shortness of breath and stuff. I ended up so nauseous i had to scrub it off. Did this trigger some reaction on my brain? Did it make me subconsciously remember of a difficult time in my life when i was troubled or anxious about something? I cannot remember but they say our noses recognize 50.000 different scents so that might explain my brain relating this scent with some past event when i might have smelled something similar. Intriguing and interesting! I will try this again to see if i get the same reaction. We shall see!!!

I'm in love with this scent!! I hear a lot of reviews complaining of the longevity issue...I don't have that problem with it. But, then again, I hate strong perfume. It works wonderfully with my skin- I get fresh, noticable whiffs for a few hours, then it fades softly into a light, beautiful smell that enhances the natural smell of my skin.

Lasts for days on clothing, though, which I think is fantastic. This is the perfect perfume for someone who doesn't want to cover their own natural scent or overwhelm a room.

harpist

I loved Ange Ou Demon Le Secret for its top notes- a refreshing and fruity blast of gorgeous tea and berries mixed with soft florals. This is where I sense a playful ange. But then that demon patchouli comes in and becomes a loud fruitchouli bomb with my chemistry, which is really such a shame. I can see how the patch can give this a seductive twist to the innocent top notes but it just didn't work for me. Instead it smelled exactly like the Lifesavers Berry Gummies with a balmy whiff that lasted about 2-3 hours on skin. I would say a darker earthier sister would be Jimmy Choo's EDP version.
It would be a love if they removed the patch but somehow I can't handle it.
I think for most it's a hit or miss, so try it if a youthful fruitchouli is up your alley.

Mas777

It's wanderful on springtime!! cranberry, lemon and jasmine are fantastic on me...8) it's my signature!

ameals12345

I usually go for the sweet perfumes as you can see from my profile. but I tried this at the Bay and loved it! I didn't buy it from the Bay as it was way too expensive but I took some samples and ordered it online. The silage is great! This fragrance last very long and every now and again I can smell it on me which I love that about a fragrance. Side note I don't apply to my skin I apply it to my clothes so it last longer. I spray it in the air and walk into it

sxuan123

Wow! This perfume has such a beautiful, pleasant scent that I wish I could wear it every hour of the day. The perfume has a very fresh and sparkling smell, which then becomes floral and very green. There is a tad bit of sweetness (from the cranberry note) that really transforms the scent and makes it feminine and flirty. I'd say that this scent would be a bit more of a sophisticated floral because of how the ingredients are layered and creates that pleasant aura when it lasts =) The only negative for me would be that the scent lasts for a short period.

However, I received many compliments from friends (males and females) and family. I would definitely recommend this scent for a person whom prefers a fresh, light but also feminine, flirty and playful scent.

BikiniBabe

This was my 1st Ange Ou Demon and wow... one of the best perfumes i have had! So so elegant, intriguing, mysterious, flirty and oh so feminine. Delicate like a flower and precious like puppy love. =)

This is definitely the Ange (angel) and not the demon of the collection. It's a tad sweet but powdery and fresh at the same time. I would consider it a unique scent... if u haven't had a go at the rest of the Ange Ou Demon collection. A definite must have!

P.S. Pls don't let the negative reviews scare u off... everyone has the right to have an opinion but to hate on this with a passion is beyond me... LOL...i find that the perfumes that evoke such passionate hate from ppl are usually the best! Enjoy =p

I wanted to like this, just for the name alone. In all honesty though, on me, it smelled like another generic fragrance that combines floral notes with baby powder and a hint of old-lady (you know what I'm talking about) thrown in. Not for me at all.

irenesa

I love this fragrance so much! is nice and fresh! I live in the beach, so I can totally see my self wearig this on a day time! fresh, expensive but relax at the same time! just love it! Im getting it!

soulflwr

This one smells like pink lemonade, and I feel strange wearing it. Not for me :(

vitabhaya

This smells like spring. Peony and lily bring a floral sweetness to the prominent fruit notes. The sparkling lemon and fresh, tart cranberry really dress this up for me. Tea mellows out the flow and the gentle woodsy notes bring a nice balance to the mix. I don't get much jasmine or patchouli from this, just a cheerful floral and somewhat fruity freshness. It is a pity that it has such poor sillage and longevity, otherwise I'd be getting a big bottle of this.

amaliamarinescu

i have this parfum and i like to use it when is sunny outside..and makes me more happy and feelin..pink just like the juice
i like also the bottle and about the parfum inself i can say that is exactly my type floral, but not overwelming ...
is a day parfum ...but is missing something to be that kind of parfum that is sexy and provocative

TwilightAngel19

This really is a sweet scent. It smells so comforting, enchanting, lovely, and beautiful. To me, it smells like jasmine tea, which makes me love it more. I think it’s a year-round fragrance, great great for summer and winter. The only con is that it's hard to hold. The top is absolutely skinny and the rest of the bottle is big like a pear. It's not like square or star-shaped bottles or bottles with gaps that make it easier to grip. But, it’s stunning on a vanity. Overall, it’s one of those safe, but sophisticated scents that’s versatile.

Ahlamsarah

I received it as a gift, nice smell but doesn't last on me , in comparison to other Givenchy's I don't recommend it .

stemziez

I love this perfume. This is one of those, that when I smelled it I automatically fell in love, I must have it! I'm going through a fragrance phase where I'm obsessed with fresh scents. Especially ones with tea notes in them. I will admit the longevity and sillage could be better, but that doesn't stop me from loving it. I just really can't stand the bottle, the cap is such a pain to get back on. But other than that, it is still one of my top favorites.

dream

I bought a sample blindly based on its composition. The smell is OK, but it isn't Wow, or maybe I imagined it differently. It has a nice and fresh smell, It gives you the sense of the fresh spring when you walk in the fields. When it dries down it gets better

nazza28

This is soft & sexy musky floral scent that caresses the skin but I think would be worn more for your own personal pleasure (or that of a lover) because it doesn't project very well. Very delicious but lasting power isn't fantastic either which is sad for such a lovely perfume.

nataliebf

I'm obsessed with this perfume! I just can't stop stiffing it. It's so sexy, so classy, so enchanting, so ME...LOVE it! Sadly on my skin it doesn't last very long at all :-( I can hardly smell it after two hours. This one has a hefty price tag but IMO the scent alone is outstanding and worth the price.

ellapage

I tried this for the first time today and I must say that I was a bit dissapointed :( I was hoping to really get a good strong tea scent with a hint of lemon and florals. For me the citrus is too strong and I don't really like how it blends with peony. After about 5 hours I find this lovely but I wouldn't purchase it for that...

cherry_lips

I find this scent addorable!
Works very well with my skin chem and happily I don't detect the patchouli note here. On my skin it's a smooth mixture of green tea, berry, jasmine and lily. Very lovely combo for the lovers of floral compositions like me.
Lasting power over 6 hours.

xabaras

I know it is supposed to be floral and fresh, but on my skin Ange ou demon Le secret takes a fruity turn. It is fresh from the moment I spray it on my skin, but immediately something fruity and sweet takes my attention. I guess it is the lemon note, but on my skin it seems mixed with vanilla, which is not in the composing notes. It is a very lovely fragrance, all round and feminine, although it is something I like to wear only occasionally. A nice discovery.

lara.suzin

xVal

I'm in love with this perfume!
It's very fresh in a sweet way what I really like, I always was looking for sweet but fresh perfumes, and this one is awesome!
Lasts pretty long on me, even after I wash my neck/hands. :)
I think almost everyone would like this one.

iremz

it s my best parfum ever!
When i try first time it s smile green notes and white floral. After 15 min, just floral notes. After 30 min starting smeel like sweet, fresh and feminene. When i use my friends ask me but it s really poor lasting.
After 1 hours u cant find any parfum iin ur skin. İ need to refresh 5 times in day.
İf u want to find some parfums for summer it s best one i think.

tinyxxangel

I have a very new nose for perfume, and a small but growing vocabulary when it comes to describing perfumes--but I'll do my best

Ange ou Demon Le Secret opens with a ripe, sweet, almost fruity scent and a touch of flowers. as time passes, the ripe fruitiness retreats to the background and the flower scent first detected begins to bloom. When at first the sweetness had come from the fruit, it now comes from the flowers. A hint of powder is now more noticeable, but the perfume is still sharp enough where I would consider it a somewhat clean fragrance.

While at first Le Secret had been skillfully skirting the border between sweet and sickly sweet, it has now crossed that line and I feel that if I had placed it anywhere closer to my nose (I spritzed once on my wrist and rubbed the two together), I would have a headache by now. As it is, I feel one oncoming. I may wash this off, next chance I get.

Summary:
A soft yet intricate fruity-floral scent, Ange ou Demon Le Secret seems well suited for mature women during the day and for special occasions. Because of the intricacy, I feel that this scent would also be a good, classy choice for nighttime during warm weather months. I can also see this on a crisp fall day, before it gets too
cold.

This scent does not work with my chemistry quite as well as I would like, but I am sure that it smells beautiful on others!

2746cstreet

This smells fresher, more aquatic and less bitter than Le Secret Elixir. I imagine it's the lack of cedar. I get lemon tea, sour red berries and water lily. Smells fresh, but adult because there's a slight musk to it. Inoffensive, but has some character.

wyrdlam

I’ve been dying to try Ange ou Demon, but the store I went to only had Le Secret. I decided to get myself a sample and I’ve been wearing Ange ou Demon Le Secret for the past couple of weeks. It opens with a powerful dose of lemon and berries, making it sweet and reminding me of candy. After a half hour, the berries fade and the lemon remains, and the powdery florals start to emerge.

I like the mix of white floral and lemon. It smells playful and soft. I actually did not detect as much green tea as I would have liked or expected, but it’s definitely there. After a couple of hours, I am left smelling mostly lemon. It’s sour and reminds me of pink lemonade, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I just don’t know if I want to smell like it.

Overall, I think this is a flirty, feminine scent that occasionally roams into the sour category. Lemon is the strongest note I detect that is present from the opening to the very end. It doesn’t go through any dramatic transformation and doesn’t ever become heavy or overbearing, which is great. It lasts for 5-6 hours, but the projection is pretty weak. Honestly, I find this fragrance boring and I will not be buying a full bottle. It’s smells nice and would be great for spring and summer, but not worth the price. 3.5/5

nickinotnikki

I got this for Christmas. I liked it at first but now it just bores me and does not last long at all. I gave my bottle away.

klcowart

I've had this perfume since last Christmas, and I am delighted to say that I still love it every time I sniff it. I never get tired of it. It's a mouthwatering fragrance that works well in both the winter and summertime, and is perfect for about every occasion. The tea note makes this perfume slightly unique, and I love that it makes this fragrance (imo) iridescent rather than effervescent. It reminds me of the sensation that I get when I eat my favorite food - watermelon! However, it isn't exactly cold; a warmth comes through from the herbality of it and perhaps from the jasmine and peony combo (and maybe through the blond woods?). Sometimes I like to wear "ugly" perfumes, like Alien or maybe Loverdose, because they're interesting, and I can see that some may see ange ou demon le secret as boring because it isn't ugly at all. However I disagree that it is boring because of the tea note. Sure fruity florals are the most popular type of perfume, but just because it's "pretty" doesn't mean that it's bland or doesn't have depth. It's warm, it's cooling; it's cozy, it's formal; it's different and unique, it's inoffensive; it's sophisticated, it's young and fun. It's my signature fragrance. Only drawback: it's kinda weak. It doesn't last all that long - 4 or maybe 6 hours at the very most. But, if you love a scent, you freaking love a scent! Seize the day!

gabygol

Its greatest quality is that you can use it for every occasion at any season or time of the year, either goes with sunny days, snowy nights, parties or daily work long days. Its elegant, sophisticated and you remember it, it has lots of personality!

minty

This perfume has a "everybody can love me" tone. it is suitable for everyone but nothing attracted me. It is a good perfume but nothing special.

jfps1975

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS! :D
I absolutely adore this frag! It's light and fresh but deeply enchanting, evolving with the chemistry of the wearer. On me, it opens with a fresh, effervescent burst of tea, peony & cranberry and dries down to something lovely that I just can't pinpoint. The dry down is still very fresh, lightly sweet & floral with a touch of wood/musk mystery. It's not overly sweet, nor overly flowery. Just a perfect balance!

My only complaint is the sillage. It's weak for me and I find myself having to spray it repeatedly if I want it to be effective for more than 2 hours. Unfortunately, I've found this to be true of nearly all my preferred scents. I have to presume that this is because I prefer lighter frags that do not contain a heavy musk or an overly powdery element... and sadly those are always the ones that hang around all day for me. Boo!

narmin.jova

not fresh or citrus. reminds me of ysl saharienne. very dissappointing cheap scent. lasts max 30 minutes.

Olia_Aroma

I expected something very different from a perfume of the Ange ou demon line. It's sooo weak and boring. Moreover, it has a revolting note, whatever it is. Disappointing.

Taxidermy

To me Ange Ou Demon Le Secret smells like a cross between Dior Miss Dior Cherie and Lanvin Eclat d'Arpege, captivating and fresh. Very lovely, but certainly not bland. I think it's the cranberry note that makes this perfume outstanding.

Jan246

starts fresh then develops into a woodsy warmth. this is a very sexy scent.

rooa

Fresh, young, sexy, seasonless, long lasting, not agressive.

pbluberry

I do like this a lot. It's fruity and floraly at the same time. I can smell the tea but it comes off a little sour on me sometimes and it can get a little annoying.

genny17

I didn't take to it , it is a bit watery, a bit fruity, undefiinished really, so it is overall a great young scent, fresh and light, but for me personally, not doing much.

annettepe

i would definitely consider this a fruity and fresh scent. its quiet sweet, clean and fresh. i dont particularly like this one because theres a sweet lemon note that is quiet strong throughout the perfume and lemon mixed with sweetness makes me nauseous. the dry down of this perfume is a lot nicer and reminds me of a clean fresh soapy scent. i dont care for this fragrance since i really dislike the opening. i own a little tester of this and will not be using it on myself since i cant get passed the sweet lemon...

OlgaN

It is a fresh and fruity perfume. a bit too sour but good to wear in a summer day. even when i spray quite a lot the smell will be gone in few hours.
compare to the price, this one is not worth to buy nothing special about it...

ShannonKimberly

gorgeous

iset

I love this fragrance.

BeautifulDynamite

Lovely, beautiful, delicious smell. Sadly, it doesn't last very long. For the price they're asking, I would've expected better longevity.

mmamita

Big no for me. Too...sour and worst lasting perfume ever!

leighhannah

This was my first perfume mistake. The initial spray at Macys made me swoon with the fresh cranberries and lemon and tea, oh joy! So I bought it untested. At first, I felt light and skippy, but then, the patchouli or white woods (haven’t pinpointed which bugs) crept in and turned into an annoyance all day. I bought the big bottle too. After using it for room spray for a while, I finally gave it to my roommate. I wish this worked for me because it’s LOVELY room freshener.

SophieJ

Boring, light, and lemony. Lasting power was poor. Notes were indistinct. In my opinion it's not worth the expensive price tag.

Camila_1712

to Thiago Alves: Legal ver brasileiros comentando sobre esse perfume! :) Love this one, and I agree with you, this fragrance is fresh and feminine, perfect for elegant women.

Museumgal

Lovely fresh tea, soft but also with a twist -- the cranberry helps make it stand out from other florals, and the wood is very warm at the end.

isabellerose

fresh, clean, flowery (peony, peony), with the right amount of sweetness and powder - just enough to give it a touch of warmth and keep the flowers from becoming sour without going into the real sweet category.
not sure it's perfumey enough but definitely nice, pleasant, unoffensive, office friendly, feminine...
made for spring :)

nettai

I saw a bottle of this in the Duty Free shop in Indonesia, and out of curiosity I tried this on. I fell in love at the first try! Not too strong, not too sweet; very nice to wear in a very sunny day. If I get to catch a scent of this, I picture myself being in the middle of a meadow in a nice, breezy sunny day. Being a fan of tea and fruity/citrus scents, this is definitely going to be my signature scent once I get my hands on a bottle of this.

I even tried it back at home along with a few scents (Guess for Women, Burberry Body, CH by Carolina Herrera and Couture Couture by Juicy Couture), had my boyfriend smell samples of the scents, and this was his favorite! He says that this goes well with my skin too. Sadly, the price here for the small bottle is the same price of the big bottle in the Duty Free shop, so maybe I'll just wait until I get a chance to get back to the Duty Free shop again.

Only con I see here is that the staying power is not too long. Doesn't last for more than an hour on me considering its price.

UPDATE: Good things come to those who wait! Good thing I waited until I got to the Duty free shop again, and I got a pouch and a perfumed body veil (lotion) for free! Lucky! :D

Mellyhelly

Mmmm I like this one!

I was not wishing to test because I don't generally like this line Ange ou Demon, not even the Elixir in the purple bottle which I find not interesting at all.
Instead I decided to give it a chance and I'm glad I did because Le Secret is not bad at all. It's a very pleasant, aromatic-floral very feminine perfume, not a work of originality rather
a nice work of pleasure. All different notes are blended together in a perfumey-cosmetic way that makes Le Secret smell like the average global smell of a good quality perfume store.
In one word it smells like WOMAN and this perhaps its "secret". I bet most people smelling this in the air will think: "Uh, oh, there is female human being here" probably of the frilly-chic type.
In this sense it can be very alluring. It is longlasting, moderately radiant, not annoying. Perfect for after-work posh drink.

bashe

today I bought my second bottle of this (although I still have one full...but it was on sale so I couldn´t resist. I think i´ll empty it very soon...the longevity is so poor...I have to spray it all over myself every 30 min/ every hour again..reminds me of incanto shine in some way, which i have to spray so often as well.

but i don´t care...because, damn, this perfume makes me feel like a real woman! :)) yeaah.

you can´t go any wrong with this..noo way! :)

bashe

this is one of a kind...very unique, dreamy, sweet but not overpowering. it costs quite much, but it´s definitely worth it. if you like this, you should definitely try the winter version...might be nice as a christmas gift for someone who already likes Ange Ou Demon Le Secret.

gracefragrantica

for me this is a "lighter more pleasant" version of Still by Jlo. suitable for tropical weather like Philippines. Love it!

Jan246

Just tried this again, and decided it's too incredible to pass. ohhhhh it smells so good!! Got to start saving up as it's quite expensive (but worth every penny).

tatalite

I love it!!!! Superb scent!

fullbottleworthy

This fragrance is nice and fresh and clean. It smells great for summer. The only problem is it has no lasting power!! I mean, I'm not kidding... I have had this on for 2 hours and I can't smell it anymore. I am smashing my nose to my wrist, and it's gone. No patchouli, no dry down, no nothing. I may be sensing a hint of cranberry, but even then it's practically nonexistant. So not worth the price! I would never buy this because it doesn't even last as long as my Victoria's Secret body spray!!

lu_pomponet

I am really suprised with this one. Although this is a light fragrance, it has good longevity and decent sillage. Of course this is a day fragrance, but I would wear it in a hot summer night too.

LittleMousey

Yummy, fresh, summery, and surprisingly long lasting! Very sophisticated as well. :)

Bettany87

This fragrance is surprisingly light and natural on my skin ... I smell the sweetness of the fruity and floral notes right away after I spray it on me. Then it dries down to an allusion of musk and fresh floral. Nothing is blaring or heavy, just an upbeat blend of all the notes. I love it -- so fresh and beautiful! This is a fragrance appropriate for all seasons.

sugarkiller

definitely the best by Givenchy so far.

irin_ka

First time I smelled it in winter and really liked. Sprayed on a wool scarf or sweater it was just sparkling!
I got a miniature bottle, but getting to know it, it seems quite an ordinary smell. No demons detected) Also I started to feel some artifficial plasticy note in it. You know, when you bend plastic spoon few times and then smell it - that kind of thing.
Still my favourite among Ange Ou Demon range.

melanie

Ange Ou Demon Le Secret is definitely the best release so far. The name really suits it, a lot softer and gentler than the other editions, Le Secret is very pleasant to my nose, even somewhat fresh and very feminine, not even a bit loud as his older cousins.

imihelsone

Very citrusy, green, crisp and fresh scent but with an interesting sexy touch to it. For girls who like to smell clean and fresh but not too boring. I think it would for for both day and summer nights.

Miss Mego

This is very fresh and bright and I can pick out the tea and jasmine notes, it's unique and feminine. It's not strong or overpowering which makes it a great choice for daytime/work/school. My only problem with it is that it doesn't last very long, especially considering the high price point for this fragrance. I would recommend only if you love the scent so much you're willing to reapply every couple of hours. I'm going to pass...
