I really like the pear fruity opening. I prefer the musc in dry down of Irresistible over the musc used in Clean Radient Nectar (that type of musc isn't for me). Still the pear note here is fairly fleeting and the longevity of this scent overall isn't great on my skin - lasts about 3 to 4 hours. I like it and how fruity and sweet it is while still retaining some fresh and clean feeling.

I'd put this in the same wear "genre" as some of my all time favorite casual, everyday, workhorse daytime perfumes (but it's not bumping anything down the list), just that fruity floral clean musky type of thing I find so easy to like and easy to wear. But I'd likely reach for others first...Vaara, Mojave Ghost, Fleur Narcotique, Aqua Universalis, Bright Crystal, Sunflowers Dream Petals, etc.

Kitmarin08

Gave it to a friend. Loved how it smells on everyone else, but for me the sillage is better than when I wear it. It gets a little overpowering. I think I would prefer it more if they swapped the iris out for pink pepper. It just became too powdery on me.

po3tik1

I'm a guy. I stopped wearing men's fragrances

I bought this alongside Burberry Her EdP. If you have this, you don't need Burberry Her. They are different, but the basis is the same. It's dark, sweet, fruity floral. It's got that elegant vibe. But it has to fit the moment for me. I'd wear it at night or if it's a cool day. Fall/Spring I good. It's not a warm enough scent for winter, and it's too dark and heavy-sweet for summer.

anamawsity

Pure floral on me, there’s no trace of the pear on my skin, and I’m not the biggest fan of florals especially very sharp ones like this so it’s not for me. Doesn’t have a strong sillage and lasts about 5 hours on my skin.

j.andresminor

my mother doesn't like it when i spray it on my neck, and i know she is not into "artificial girlish scents". Well, honestly i like it a lot, imagine the world of "esque-disney youth wannabe market", charming, magic, sparkling, sweet. I know Pear is "too accentuated", but it is a replacement of my Zara Classic 6.0 (for men), the only difference the Male version is the same sirupy Pear but Woodier, Irresistible the Pear is more Floral. An Aura of Honey cloudy can be suffocating but it is well blended. Musky??? Not at all !! it isn't at all a clean soapy one. Not recommended as an unisex scent, it is a pretty fem, i just bought it because i am keen on Fruity aromas, on the same vein of Zara 6.0 y repeat, one is woodier this one is more floral

aliyahrose

its so bright and clean. it smells like soapy fruit? i dont know exactly how to put it, but its not overwhelming!

Musswuy

Very clean scent but generally quite boring. I didn't hate it but it just never stuck out to me.

Arber Cami

From a male point of view : Clean, inoffensive, rose, fruity (I smell red fruits) musky scent. Pleasant scent, not too floral heavy and headache inducing, all notes are in balance. A little similar to Parfums De Marly : Meliora and Delina. Pleasant but nothing unique, smells similar to a lot of perfume releases these days.

jadepo21

It’s clean, it’s pretty, it’s simple - nothing groundbreaking but it is lovely. An easy reach for sure. I don’t usually like rose scents but this is not rose heavy or headache inducing.

scentyoupacking

This perfume is just... fine. It's feminine and probably inoffensive for daily wear. However, if you're looking for a fragrance where pear is the star of the show, I wouldn't pick this one. The pear note is competing with a generic floral accord, so it doesn't come through particularly cleanly.

Perfume_junkie_UK

Synthetic pear, flowers and a smidge of clean musk. That's it.

Nothing new, nothing fabulous, nothing worth remembering or buying. Disappointed as it has Ropion's name to it, albeit as a collab.

Longevity is good. Shame it's a bid headachy for me to stomach too.

Anniechannie

I'm so happy I picked up a sample of this! I did not enjoy this fragrance. It smelled horribly synthetic and cheap to me. (I'm usually okay with cheapies!) This was way worse than any B&BW I have ever smelled. Besides that, it was also just very generic- a definite perfume smelling perfume, iykyk.

cheyguy

I tried this, hoping it would give me a bit of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre/God is A Woman combined. I really thought it would. My partner says that it is exactly that, he thinks it's beautiful, playful and sexy without smelling juvenile or old lady. But to my nose? Powder, powder and more powder. Which I don't hate but...I don't love it either. Unfortunate, I really thought this would be the one.

nordlanderin

Nothingness in a bottle. Generic, light, soapy fruity and floral scent. Amongst the pros, it's feminine and not overpowering, good for everyday wear. I wanted to say it's a safe blind buy because it's quite inoffensive and classic, but I see that may be an unpopular opinion, so I guess I shouldn't confuse anyone...

Alexandra.kom

This is a very sweet perfume.
For me is nice but more suitable to a young girl. I was sure it has strawberry note in as it smells overpowering like strawberry on my skin. Good everyday smell, lasts to 5h on my skin but overprised for the scent.

Moonami

Blind buy and I won't recommend you do my mistake as this perfume isn't a safe blind buy in my opinion.

Something in it that smells too tart for my taste. I think it is the pear. Like when you cut a pear and leave it on the kitchen counter for a while and it oxidises. The other notes smell wonderful but I can't get over the tartiness.

I left it to macerate for a couple of weeks and this helped a bit. I will keep it to macerate a little more before I decide to keep it or not.

KHunton

I had my eye on Irresistible by Givenchy for ages & wanted to get it for myself then my boyfriend surprised me with it for my birthday
I enjoy it even more than I expected
Irresistible is so pretty & feminine but I love how the pear keeps it a bit fresh & sparkling still considering how floral it leans.
It's really well balanced, lasts ages on my skin & can be worn just about any time or place

JoobMoos

This smells like a sexy old-hollywood star dressed up in her pearls and fur coat and…baked you an apple pie? Like Lucy trying (and succeeding) to seduce Ricky Ricardo.

darkbeauty

This is a girly, sweet, tart, powdery, and fluffy perfume. There has to be some other fruit in here somewhere besides pear, because it gives me a beautiful and bright rhubarb tart in the opening. I could be wrong but, I wonder if part of the tartness is also coming from the rose, creating the feeling of rhubarb when combined with the pear. I say this because some rose notes can be more sour than powdery sweet.

This tart fruit (whether pear or the impression of rhubard) stays throughout on me and just mellows further into the middle and dry down into lovely, powdery florals and musk.

Personally, I would have loved to have Irresistible finish with something earthy, or woody in the base, perhaps cashmere or even vetiver. I feel it needed a bit more warmth in the dry down to round it out.

Lasting power is ok…kind of disappointing at only 2-3 hours tops. could be better for sure. Hopefully it had better lasting power for others.

Overall I would consider this a feminine fresh & fruity rose perfume. If rose notes work well on you, I would not hesitate to try this perfume.

elmos

this is a very sweet feminine scent that has people asking what you've been wearing and it and everyone can smell it, it's AMAZING and I would recommend this to ppl wanting that vibe. i would give it a 9/10, it doesn't suit me really so I bought it for my mom.

sammilucia

I can smell patchouli in this (timbersilk to be precise, as most new perfumes use...)
I'm so tired of 70% of todays perfumes using patchouli as the large molecule base. It's way overused!

thaochipnd

Extremely feminine and sweet. This fragrance reminds me of Lancome Idole but more youthful and cute, while Lancome Idole is gentler and more luxurious, more mature. I would say this is a dreamy, easy to wear scent, it gives off princess and lady Vibes filled with pink. Try this if you like that. But if you're looking for a predominantly Rose scent, this isn't it, I smell the most Pear and a little bit of Rose.

Rating: 7.5/10, very lovely

Emera1d

Pear dominant, pretty pink scent. I rarely like musks, which is probably why I don't like this. It is nice and there is nothing wrong with it, would be good as a day/office scent.

EpicureOrHedonist?

Overall impression: Watery, sweet pear rose water. The ambrette amps up the juiciness and sweetness of the pear.

Sweet, sugary rose water, like a confectioner's glaze.
Very wearable, fresh pear that doesn't get funky or b.o.-smelling.
Musk provides a soft, fuzzy base for background and drydown. It's not a big, clean, or fluffy musk, just simple and soft, like a fuzzy throw.
Ambrette pleasantly there throughout, amping up the facets of the other scents. Doesn't get loud, synthetic-feeling, or screechy.
Iris and cedar almost almost nowhere to be found.

You can smell this deeply without the scent mophing or changing too much. It is linear with enough body to hold its own in cold or heat.

I wear this when I want to smell sweet and girly and fresh. The EDT is a little more interesting for Spring and Summertime wear imo, but this EDP feels suited to all-year, minus very hot, muggy, summer days.
Someone mentioned it smells innocent, which I agree with. I don't know that I could wear it for an entire day without layering or changing it up.

Cousin of Miss Dior EDP (2021), but lighter, more watery, less serious, less rose. Like someone grabbed the sweet, juicy, and light rose notes, and made a watercolor out of them.

Strong like :) Worth a travel size for an easy-reach, freshen-upper that is more interesting than super mainstream. To change things up between more serious or complex scents.

mussulisa

I love this perfume. It's the perfect balance of fresh and sweet. It's not too floral (I usually don't like floral perfumes very much). It projects good but not too much and lasts an okay amount of time. One of my favorite perfumes.

etherealwitch24

Just got it. Smell like a fabric softener. The rose and iris dominate the pear note, which is totally what i did not expect. This cologne works best for teenagers with its inoffensive and feminine scent. I think it's safe to blind buy this but in small size in case you want to layer it with others or switch occasionally.

hot_imouto

Smelled this at a department store while browsing. Fell in love instantly! Had to order a bottle and still absolutely love this. To me this smells almost edible. I believe this will become my signature.

Rwertz123

Another feminine, pretty scent! Longevity and silage is pretty good and overall it’s a really good perfume. It is definitely my daily daytime perfume from now on. I recommend for sure!!

Sarra816

Just smells like a clean slightly sweet musk. I get a bit of those woody notes but nothing special -- quite disappointing for Givenchy who is known for releasing exquisite fragrances. This is far from that.
Safe generic scent

Shanty36

Surprisingly this has very poor longevity, which is shocking for a Givenchy perfume. I love the opening. The pear gives the rose a nice cool sweetness that just smells SO DIVINE. But it doesn’t last. I’d say within 30 minutes it dries down to a clean musk and I can’t smell the opening notes at all. It doesn’t smell bad, and as far as musks go it’s a nice one. But I bought it for the pear/rose notes so it was a very disappointing dry down.

Moonbeam28

This scent is pretty, non-offensive and work friendly, but for me it’s not distinctive enough to be full bottle worthy. It just smells like “perfume” so kind of generic. I’ll finish my sample but will likely forget this one as neither the scent, marketing or bottle are at all memorable. Might be a nice gift for someone who’s not into fragrance and doesn’t yet have specific tastes.

piahellgren

Absolutely lovely. I love. Smelling like this peary rose and musk. The iris is quite mellow and the woods as well. To me it fiest does not seem to last, but during my work day I find myself wondering what smellssogood and it is me. Sweet, clean, and srill this one has depth. Don’t think this is one bland shampooey fruity floral, it’s way more chic and deep than those.

Vmich

Smells like a generic hand lotion with the Lacroix touch of pear. Just buy a non scented lotion

scnofthcrime

A pretty, soft, and clean floral (mostly rose on me). I was really hoping this would be an underrated gem, but I think this is rated appropriately at 3.82 currently. This is a perfectly nice and competent floral fragrance, and I can see why this would be an easy dumb reach, but I don't find it special or memorable. With so many fragrances on the market, there's no reason why even a dumb reach can't be something a little more distinctive. I like this, but it's not worth the money to me.

jeissi

Lasts 24h+ on clothes and it puts me in a good mood. So romantic, sweet, rosy. It reminds me of turkish delights. 😍

Diabolical-iris

Sweet and feminine, a perfect nonoffensive fragrance for everyday school or office wear... but at the end of the day it's not spectacular or different

sinesthesya

I wanted to love this perfume, the opening is really beautiful and fresh, but I just don't like the dry down :( It smells very powdery on me

WhiteFlowerPrincess

I find this perfume very feminine and very pretty in pink like the color of the juice in the bottle and the cap would suggest, but it didn't exactly knock my socks of though. I found it a bit too safe and pedestrian for my liking. I like Irrésistible by Givenchy better than Irrésistible eau de toilette fraiche by Givenchy though.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the pear note in the top notes and thought that lily of the valley might work better here instead and I felt like the ambrette or musk mallow should have been in the base notes instead of the top notes, maybe with some violet in its place in the top notes. This would have given me the full floral flush while still keeping things light and airy.

I loved the heart notes of rose and iris and would not change a thing about it, since it gives a lovely and romantic and powdery feel, reminiscent of maidens frolicking in a lush and colorful meadow of flowers on the first of May. It's really masterfully done, which is why what happens in the base notes is kind of a let down too.

I really liked the musk in the base of Irrésistible, but I felt like the Virginia cedar was perhaps a bit much for this light and airy fragrance. The musk mallow would have worked better here, giving this perfume a lighter touch whilst still giving it that much needed depth and complexity that it needs like any perfume.

I got a very surprising 8 and a half hours wear from this fragrance and an arm length's scent bubble, despite most people only getting moderate longevity from this fragrance. My skin does seem to thankfully make perfumes last quite a bit longer than most though! I'd recommend this perfume for either spring or summer and for day wear as opposed to night wear.

All in all, I'd give Irrésistible by Givenchy a 7.5 out of 10. It's very nice, but not quite full-bottle worthy for me!

Jlbeauty.reviews

This fragrance is such a beautiful and easy reach for a casual day. This is easily signature scent worthy. This fragrance is fruity, powdery, slightly sweet and musky. The notes that mostly stick out to my nose are the pear, iris, musk and the sweetness of the ambrette. It is a light and inoffensive fragrance. It's simple, clean and pretty. It's feminine and reminds me of someone who is clean and well put together.

QueOndaGuera

Sweet, fruity and rosy. Very much a happy springtime smell, it reminds me of Easter lol. I can’t imagine it being offensive for anyone. It does lean a little bit towards the “younger” crowd because of the fruity pear but I don’t think it smells juvenile. It isn’t the most exciting but sometimes you don’t want “unique” and still just want to smell nice.

J'aimeunefragrance

Not a dupe but in the same vein as Delina. Will test both my samples side by side and see!

redtulips4g

I'm sorry, just don't know where else to vent - it's sooooooooooo annoying when different perfumes are put in VERY SIMILAR bottles, I made a rather expensive mistake of buying a wrong Irresistible scent. Same story happened with a Boss perfume. Do the manufacturers try to save on using the same bottles? Can't afford to make them different? Honestly, what the what???

Face2Fragrance

THIS. IS. MY. SCENT. I absolutely love this fragrance to bits. It’s long lasting, an elegant bottle, a floral fruity scent and I’m always receiving compliments every time I wear this fragrance.

Thykes10

I definitely get pick up on the pear in the opening along with some kind of candy sweetness, likely from the ambrette. It's less floral on my skin than I anticipated. Very much a fruity musky, slightly powdery scent. Not synthetic or overly sweet smelling. I do slightly pick up on the rose but it's not super prominent. This would be a good everyday easy reach type of scent but I can't see myself wearing this. Good projection for about 5 hours.

motherofdjembe

This is the reason that I fell in love with pear notes. Have repurchased this many times. Safe, sweet, musky and just overall a great buy.

OzzyEyes

I get similar vibes to Chanel Chance Tendre, but more layers and a bit deeper, plus longevity which Chanel Chance just doesn't have. I was thinking that I'd really like this in my collection, but by the time I'd sniffed my arm all day I was kinda sick of the scent.

ina.rem

It's a pretty decent fragrance when you would like to take a break from your sophisticated niche collection. However, I decided to keep only the Rose Velvet Irresistible flanker, as it is a bit more interesting to my taste.

sv02

It's a pretty feminine basic floral scent, nice for everyday, I think it's a safe blind buy. Longevity and sillage are moderate & worth the money

Pink bouquet

This one makes me nauseous and gives me a headache. Too bad, because I think it's pretty good every day/office perfume.

Bhavnalovesscents

Such a beautiful well rounded fruity floral. The pear and rose notes stand out the best in this scent and blend nicely. Its fun, playful and sweet. Love it as a daytime scent.

MonicaLV

Reminds me a lot of Garnier Fructis shampoo. Hubby says it smells like a shampoo with an English rose. 🤷🏻♀️

JasmineSky

I really love this! There are mixed reviews, but to my nose this isn't overly sweet. It's a refreshing bubbly pear, with a creamy and slightly powdery dry down. I know there's rose in this but it's not too prominent to me, which is nice, because I detest strong (synthetic) florals like rose. I would definitely wear this all summer long. The shampoo/soap comparison I also kind of get, but I enjoy it, maybe because of the pear and iris. Usually shampoos are very fruity, but Irresistible isn't. Its refreshing, clean, and a just a little sweet.

dancingdear

Sugary pear marshmallows with a bit of rose. Too sweet for me but if you like sweet scents without vanilla this is a good option

Mattesha Erotica

If you find a headache to be “irresistible”… cheap, shampoo-ey, body mist type of fragrance that reminds me of my least favorite perfume, Lancôme’s la vie est belle. Also incredibly reminiscent of those childhood fish shaped L’Oreal shampoos. People seem to really love or hate this stuff, its a super crazy hard pass for me. 😅

nisarsarah9

I used to wear this fragrance alot during my high school days but then I noticed that it gets too powdery after it dries down. I would still not give up on this scent as it used to be one of the first fragrances that I had. Smells like clean rose, I'm just not happy with the dry down.

Asoss

It gave me a headache today...not for summer, too sweet and cloying for me.

PrettyScentz

This is a work scent for me. Signature scent worthy if you’re mature, yet girly. It’s not an immature scent. In my opinion it smells like someone who is very put together, mature, but still loves the color pink LOL

spritzspritz

I'm a sucker for that pear/ambrette/orris combo. A pretty, flirty opening dries down to an office-safe floral. Irresistible reminds me of Ariana's God Is A Woman but with much better lasting power.

Smeraldina77

I read the notes and thought it would not have been anything special, then I got a sample from a store, tried it out of curiosity and I love it now and I will buy a small bottle for sure! It is so cute, girly, juicy, sweet, fun, but still classy and not juvenile at all, in my opinion. Is it a simple easy reach? Yes, it is. It is nothing groundbreaking, but it is lovely and you don't always want to smell super different, abstract, complex. Sometimes you just want to smell good and that's it, a lovely musky, fruity, floral scent smelling so good! This is a very uplifting and positive fragrance, perfect at any age, all year round, especially for daytime. The longevity and sillage are moderate on my skin, but I do not mind respraying it during during the day.

Mini FragReviews Mary

Is it actually Irresistible?
This is my favorite women’s designer scent of all time.
The best fragrance in its category.

It’s simply irresistible.🩷
Blind buy worthy and an easy reach for everyday.

perfumesniffer

starts off a very “meh” fruity floral. dries down a lifeless hard candy jolly rancher. that’s a no for me dawg.

Bibi16

Pretty girl scent. It's sweet & juicy from the pear and has this aquatic freshness to it. Very feminine and pretty for summer days. The musk and cedar are well blended so it does not pull too musky or woody.

sm311214

An absolute love for me! Such an effortless easy reach for spring and summer with the juicy sweet pear and gentle modern rose. This fragrance is so very pretty and perfect for any occasion 💗

astralmonad870

Pure scent for a woman in her twenties but cloying for a 30-year-old. I collected so many perfumes at the age of 29 and this is one of the bottles I’m phasing out. There is a plastic synthetic note in the pears I don’t like.

elinadinex

I could never get tired of this even if I'm only using it on special occasions but for that matter - it lives up to the name, I feel irresistible and my man shows me a little bit extra that I am when I'm wearing this. I think it's a romantic, addictive and unforgettable scent that leaves you wanting it even more.

sakecat22

Nice-smelling pear top. Perfectly pleasant rose and iris heart. Well considered caramelized woody musk base. Contemporary pink fruity florals aren't my jam, but this one is OK. I'm glad I had a sample (and only a sample).

Koningin

It’s cute and pretty. Perfect for a college gal.
I can see why frag heads would not be the least impressed by this. It’s a dime a dozen and nothing really groundbreaking. Givenchy went for mass appealing no risks taking whatsoever.

That being said, it’s a safe blind by and something you can throw on any day and any time. It projects enough without being in your face and intruding. To me this is in the same vain as Perfect from Marc Jacobs.

Ghadah02

okay, I normally don't like sweet scents, but this is good! I will use this for winter.

girldeadbug

Okay so I thought I loved this frag, that is, until I fell asleep wearing it and woke up with it stronger than ever. I guess you could call this the drydown phase, it’s very abrasive, like having my face being shoved in too much rose soap. It’s a modern rose, maybe it’s the musk, but something is too much here. I’ll be sticking with the Rose Velvet flanker which has the added juicy berry fruitiness to mix up the rose and musk.

ntabassum92

I like this a lot more than I thought I would, it's so much nicer than the Very Irresistible line that came before this. In Irresistible I mostly smell a sweet musky pear and rose, but the addition of iris really makes this fragrance. It's simultaneously creamy sweet and also soft and papery powdery. Fruity but not too fruity. Kind of like if La Vie Est Belle and Idole had a baby. I would totally wear this one, it's so easygoing and smells so pretty.

millybadison

Super pretty, sweet, and floral. Smells safe, nothing to write home about.

Brvnette

hot rich girl don’t know what more to say all the bitches at my school ASK everyday for this

mermaidylady

Oof, this is so pretty. I left a review a few weeks ago and haven't stopped thinking about it since. Changed from a like to a love. This fragrance was never on my radar before but I own a full bottle now. So fresh and feminine! Addicted to that gorgeous pear opening and love the clean musky drydown. And despite the rose and iris, it never feels TOO floral. Love love love it.

Andy224

Wow. LOVE. Opens up with a gorgeous prominent powdery sugary pear scent. But wait until the Iris comes to play… what a delight. Then it dries down into a nice musky base that lasts for hours. Dreamy.

Jscents39

Oh my goodness this is like a fluffier Delina by Parfums de Marly…I swear it smells similar. I’m surprised the correlation hasn’t been made. It’s not as deep or strong as Delina, and it’s definitely sweeter, but on first spritz I immediately thought Delina. I didn’t enjoy Delina, but if that’s your vibe then I think you would like this.
Edit: something sharp and obnoxious about this for me. It’s just too much..kind of like Delina was as well.

mermaidylady

I actually kinda like this. It's a nice break from the white florals I usually wear. Lots of pear, musk, and rose. Bright and uplifting. I don't think I'd bother with a full bottle because I could see myself getting bored with it - it's too pretty, too polite, too safe. It definitely reminds me of popular fragrances of the early 2000's, when shampooey fruity-florals were all the rage.

ava96

This smells so nice, it could be a signature scent for me! Usually when I smell something new, most of the time I like it, but this I reeeeeeally like. It reminds me a bit of The Only One by D&G, however much nicer. There is something bubblegummy about the scent, but it's not cheap by any means, it's light but has character. I didn't expect it!
Longevity is moderate. I got a full bottle, I love it.

allenwebbtmg

Every time My wife wears this I go crazy....

She has two new bottles on reserve in her closet... Do I need to say anything more?

Husband approved!

meganlamode

Irresistible is a very pleasant scent. On paper, I can smell the pear, but on my skin, this is purely rose and musk. It's a bit on the softer side, and would be a great choice for an everyday perfume. I would call it a clean, delicate, inoffensive smell - I don't find it to be overly sweet at all. As pretty as it is, I don't know if it's necessary in my collection because I already have similar enough fragrances.

EDIT: I tried this again and it felt sweeter the second time, but not offensively so. The iris was more present and it gave me a lipstick vibe - which I LOVE, but again, I have a lot of fragrances within this genre already. I ended up picking up a flanker instead (the EdT Fraiche) because I was looking for a lighter, Summertime scent. Even so, the original still smells beautiful, and I would be open to owning a full bottle of it in the future.

EDIT 2.0: I bought a bottle lol This really grew on me!

I absolutely love it. I finished my sample and would purchase a full bottle. It’s a beautiful fruity rose. Very pleasing and inoffensive.

suzanne_ronald

WHIPPED PEAR Magic! Opening with a burst of pear that deepens into a powdery & fluffy rose-pear heart, all resting on a whipped amber base. There is a fluffy & whipped quality here that stops just short of marshmallow. Another Dominique Ropion gem.

Contrast to Meow Katy Perry:
These are different scents, but there are some similarities with gourmand pear and this is the most similar scent to Irresistible that I've smelt. Meow has a touch more caramel and is more pear & custard tart with caramel drizzle, while Irresistible is more whipped pear.

Contrast to Royal Mystery Swiss Arabian:
Very different but there are some similarities in the openings with pear. The drydowns go in different direction with RM becoming a rosy fluffy chypre, and Irresistible becoming a whipped pear scent.

Overall: above average performance and a beautiful scent profile. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Janelle224

I tried to like this but I just can’t. When I first smelled it at Ulta I liked it and bought it. After wearing it a few times I started getting annoyed by the smell. I’m not sure if it’s the musk but something about it makes it nauseating. It kind of reminds me of sweet tarts. Now I can’t stand it. I’m giving it to my cousin that complimented me when I wore it, I guess it’s not for everyone.

PattyLovesScents

Ok this fragrance is beautiful with its rose scent. It is super pretty, good for daily wear, wear to work or a nice lunch date, but does anyone else get nauseous with this fragrance? Is it the Ambrette that makes me nauseous? What is it? I was so excited about this fragrance, blind bought it, spray it and was so happy, then like a few minutes later was getting nauseous. I washed it off and tried it again a few days later.......same thing. I get the pretty rose (it is a nice feminine rose and not too green or earthy). I pick up the woody note which comes off as sweet woody.........But then I get so nauseous at whatever is happening after that. I am so sad. The bottle is so pretty too. :(

YourFragranceFriend

The opening smells bright and tart like the eau fraiche version. In a couple minutes, the rose comes through. Soon, I’m reminded of the ambrette and iris combination in KKW’s Nude Sand in the way it makes an extra musky combination. It then stays pretty linear as a tart musky scent. The cedar adds a sharpness in the base that keeps it from being soft and powdery. I find cedar and pear often keeps me from liking a fragrance. Unfortunately, I do not enjoy this. It stays in the realm of a tart body spray. I much prefer the Rose Velvet version for its complexity and depth.

I disagree with some other reviews. It lasts all day on my clothing and skin even though it doesn't project as much after a couple of hours. I don't smell Prada Paradoxe or Jimmy Choo I Want Choo in this at all. The white florals in those make them so different. No PDM Delina similarities either.

AllisonNW

It’s cute, but after giving it a proper wear, it just became annoying. It’s very peary, sweet, and just too princessy for me. If you like ultra “feminine” sweet scents, without the fluffy BR540 dna, this one is for you.

Happiness_inside99

A little disappointed with this perfume. It smells very monotonous and very heavy rose note on me, last long. There is nothing special about this fragrance for me, it is very simple and boring in my opinion .

katherina.1

This is such a lovely perfume and it kinda surprised me that I liked it so much, because I usually don’t like ‘princess-y’ perfumes like this. This is how I picture princess peach from Mario brothers to smell like😂 And I’m more of a Versace noir kind of gal. So, it’s apparent, that’s not usually my cup of tea.

Anyways, I smelled it at the store and it was so addictive, but I just couldn’t get myself to buy it. Tried it a couple more times and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I had to have it in my collection. So it’s a love, strange enough. I’m looking forward to spring because I feel it will suit better as a spring/summer fragrance, though.

Layering tip. If you already have Valentino Donna, layer them together and thank me later. Such a stunning combo😍 The leather in Valentino gives depth to Givenchy, which truly makes it irresistible!

Gemsense

I tried this last spring early summer and it was just 🫤 meh nothing much to it… well something has been telling me lately to give it a try again now and I’m so glad I did! This is gorgeous! Sweet, smoky, creamy, fruity it smells familiar but I just can put my finger on what it smells like. I wish I had bought this, I only have a sample but I’m definitely getting a full bottle. This will be my winter fragrance, well one of my winter fragrances 💕
Oh my I was reading the other reviews and it does smell like Cassili! Just fruitier and sweeter, it has what cassili was missing. It’s Prada paradoxe mixed with cassili. But very feminine sweet… this is what cassili should’ve been! Love this soooo much!

Morgan45

I tried this at a store a few months ago and it was LOVE. I was intoxicated by the pear and the rose and the iris, so I JUMPED THE GUN and bought a whole bottle. However, every subsequent time I try it, after about an hour the musk becomes too much and I just can't handle it anymore. It is a beautiful perfume, but not for me. I learned a valuable lesson, here.

Loll

This is what they’ve replaced the wonderfully iconic Very Irresistible with? Really? 🤔 It’s not bad, just ok.

libralopx

Smells like clean laundry :)

kel0315

I bought several samples of this perfume and I’m really disappointed. I was hoping I would love it because the bottle is honestly gorgeous but I don’t. It opens up very sour but also sweet at the same time. It smells like green apple jolly ranchers to me. I do like Candy-like scents but this perfume doesn’t smell elegant at all. I’m surprised by all the good reviews.

veromoth

I fell in love with this one, it's going to be my signature scent this spring and summer for sure!
Even my boyfriend told me that this perfume smells like me :)
I love the pear in this, even if the scent dries down I still can smell the juicy mouthwatering pear.
An amazing every-day perfume, very fruity, sweet and sour, fresh and clean.
It lasts up to 8 hours and people can smell it within arm length.

LaelMitchell

I think this fragrance smells VERY similar to Prada Paradoxe IMO. It’s not really all that. It’s a typical crowd pleasing scent.

Scents of Sue

After reading the reviews I have seen this fragrance compared to every perfume known to mankind lol this is on its way in the mail and I am very intrigued and curious 😁

noneya88

If Jimmy Choo I Want Choo and PDM Cassili had a baby, this would be it. Smells like musky peach fuzz scented playdoh. It's soft, powdery and feminine but not for me.

Sunnysugar

Three words to describe this scent: Delicate, Soft and Distinctive. It's that scent that I would associate with a princess or fairy :-)

aspirina

Very soft and feminine scent. It reminds me of a nice fruity smelling shampoo. Sometimes that is what brings compliments and the only thing I need to feel clean and nicely scented, It's very fruity, rosy, girly. But I already have too many scents like this. So, I don't think I need a full bottle, and a sample is more than enough.

Secretasenha2023*

It smells very unpleasant. I think it is the pear. It’s VERY strong fragrance (for my bad).

louiee

My husband immediately said…you smell lige sugar and candy store.

Bought this today at a bargain price. I got really intrigued by the flirty and fun teenage vibe in the opening. The dry down is more mature and rosy/musky. Reminds me a bit about radiant nectar from Clean.
Clean, sweet and youthful. For days when you just want to smell good.
This is nothing out of the ordinary. A really well done pear/ambrette for summer and spring. Like it a lot and will wear it with pleasure.
Moderate longevity and a strong silage.

girldeadbug

Rose Velvet should have been the name for this one, cus it really does smell like modern velvety rose petals. Floral, clean, woody. It’s really nice for a “perfumey” type of scent but I prefer the Rose Velvet flanker. RV is sour fruity and powdery.

Lykopa

Musky, powdery, rosy, sweet, ambrette-y. This smells like freshly moisturized skin and your favorite smoothie, and a pair of satin heels. My wonderful boyfriend got this for me for Christmas after I mentioned my love for the pear/ambrette combo. It reminds me of him now <3.

erika.isme.98

Smells like a teen shampoo scent but in the nicest way possible. So lively and fresh. Infinitely youthful. I like it but I'm not sure I'd wear it as a 25 year old.

Uio91

Absolutely love it, a very well done perfume.

This is a very clean and feminine perfume, sweet but not too in your face and would make a great signature scent.

Picture a 22 year old young woman modern, elegant, soft and very feminine. Would agree it’s a safe bet so great for blind buy as you can’t be disappointed.

I layer it with B540 to bring out its sweetness, feminine side and to get a better performance in terms of sillage and I get lots of compliments all day long.

yeesa_

Sweet but fresh and I can detect the rose. It will be great for the warmer weather as its pretty light. I picture a girl with a sundress having a picnic at the park wearing this. Very pretty

sugar&spice

I have just acquired a miniature of Irresistible EDP, and so far I love it. The opening pear/ambrette notes are rounded, musky, slightly sweet and fresh - not sharp as some fruity notes can be - but still have a noticeable and vibrant presence. This perfumes truly sparkles. As the floral/woody notes develop, they are soft and well-blended to induce a cosy sensuality; the cedar undertones beautifully create a delicious drydown that lasts and amplifies well. I had a meeting with my boss today wearing Irresistible and she said I smelled absolutely gorgeous!

Jasmineaeisha

I’m so glad that I’ve stumbled onto this beauty! Fun & flirty is the best way that I can describe this. I normally do not like very sweet fragrances but the rose in this really balances it out so I don’t get nauseous. It just smells sooo pretty. You are guaranteed to release endorphins in anyone when you walk past them :)

piqpar

Sweet, soft, and feminine but with a very disappointing longevity. It lasts maybe 30 min and it's gone.

SlimZay75

From a man POV : Sweet, musky, attractive, seductive, welcoming, simple but effective.

Shikin27

I was at the post office when I smelled something familiar, it's this fragrance! I turned to see who is wearing this and it's a lady in her late 30s, she is beautiful and so well put together. She have long wavy hair that went past her shoulders that she kept loose, she was in a long flowy, floral dress and carrying a basket weave bag on her shoulder. She embodies this fragrance so well. She is playful and carefree but confident. she is sweet but knows what she wants. That's what this fragrance means to me. Now when I use this fragrance it reminds me of that beautiful lady at the post office.

cyberpunk_nova

I feel like I just sprayed air. It smells when I spray just for a second and completely evaporates in the next. Literally zero longevity. I'm serious when I say it disappeared in under a minute.

Lalex

It's a beautiful scent.
It can use as everyday, don't think too much scent, where I need something more clean and refreshing as scent. I have days where everything gets irritating to my nose, this is easy to use.
It can go on more elegant side of the things, it's definitely not "simple" scent or "one note" scent it's clean and refreshing but not soapy or shampooe.
It's easy to love it and I would say it has something yummy in it, maybe that's the irresistible part.

shoujomarina

i sprayed this on my wrist and it smelled so familiar…. and then it hit me - Delina edp! which i have. i won’t say they’re dupes by any means. but they’re definitely in the same family of fragrances. i think it’s a very misty/soft version, with an added sugar ambrette sweetness. this is a very close to skin scent, almost reminds me of a hair shampoo or something. i imagine a very pretty girl. i don’t think i will buy the full bottle of this because it’s a little expensive and i already have a similar scent, but i did just buy a roll-on of it because it’s a good everyday pick me up.

update: smells like cassili by the same house

mlrd217

Definitely irresistible. One of the best perfumes from Givenchy. Opens with sweet juicy fruity notes and here comes the sweet rose in the middle, makes it fruity floral and the dry down is powdery iris and musk. I love this from the first sniff.

Very feminine, very pretty, kinda girly but I'm 40s and I love this perfume so much. It reminds me a bit of La Belle from JPG. I know the smell is not so unique, well, it's not niche, but I don't care, I just love it. Gorgeous on winter, beautiful on summer. The sweetness does not give me a headache at all. After finishing my sample, I bough a 50ml bottle. Now I need a bigger bottle knowing I will wear this often.

banjerine

A sweet and girlish puff of powdery, cosmetic florals and candied green pear. Rosewater baths, petal-pink princess dresses, dotting i’s with tiny hearts.

HolySpirit1976

This perfume smells like woman’s skin .

mrntrs

Didn’t even know Irrésistible had pear notes, but now I get why I love it! Definitely matches my scent profile - sweet, feminine & flirty. Would love to get a bottle of this soon, this scent is beautiful from start to finish and seems to last quite well!

frrnxh

Tried this at Sephora, smells like pee and like the smell of ammonia at chemistry lab. So sad, from reviews on Youtube I thought I'm gonna love this. The EDT one is okay though.

kdawg09

I just don't think the rose and pear go together. I think it smells like rotting fruit to be honest. Stinky.

Dakota22

Always on the hunt for a new pear fragrance. Same pear as Cacharel Premier Delices, but this is less "dusty" more floral. I prefer Irresistible.

jenniferkuo423

At first spray, this is too sweet for me in a cloying way. I would describe it as a cross between a girly shampoo and fruit candy. The dry down on my skin is very warm and pleasant though, and it lasts for ages.

ryoshiho97

This is a youthful and pleasant rose-pear fragrance. Has an ok longevity. Works well on hot and humid climates. A little too generic and flat. I’d say it’s suitable for teenagers or young adults.

lucyyams

One of the best roses I've smelled in a while! This fragrance is totally my cup of tea, it's sweet without being nauseating and is instead extremely fresh and fruity. This to me gives it such a youthful sophistication, definitely great for someone in their 20s. This combines everything I love into one, from musk to fruit to aquatic freshness. I am usually not a huge fan of florals, but this one does it so well as it adds that femininity. Addictive, I can't stop smelling it!

elmccullar

I adore this fragrance. It's sweet and fruity and floral, but fresh at the same time. Just beautiful! Beautifully blended and lasts forever!

LeeloSteelo

I love this so much. It’s not strong or groundbreaking. I don’t find it to be sensual or dark like I usually like but it just makes me happy. It reminds me more of a fresh Asian pear and I get more iris than rose. I layer this with Glossier you or Delina La Rosee if I want that pear note added to those scents. It will always have a place in my collection.

curlykitty8

I received a small sample in a swap and stashed it away with my numerous collection. One morning, believing it was the Givenchy from years ago, I spritzed it on only to be taken aback at how lovely it was!
Puzzled, I immediately checked Fragrantica and found it, thrilled to read the notes!
I love pear, rose and musk but not so much ambrette but the powdery iris seems to add a cool sophistication!
The tiny spray lasted and lasted, never becoming gourmand or overly musky and I was hooked!
These days it’s difficult to find such a beautiful fragrance with a practical price tag!
I’ve always loved Givenchy and now even more!
PS Nine months later I find that this perfume has become far more gourmand than it was at the start. Perhaps the ambrette note has fermented along with the pear!

BougieGirlShops

Wow someone at Givenchy has a sweet tooth. I recently tested out L'interdit Rouge and now this, very saccharine. I'm tasting a bunch of mini's I got in a tester box and all the contemporary designer brands in this are generic sweet florals that are too similar that if I smelled this on someone I wouldn't be able to pick out the specific perfume.

If you like sweet light florals, appropriate for teens, this is a safe gift or blind buy.

AshBud

Something about this reminds me of my childhood, and I think it's because it's like a perfumed version of orange juice. Not freshly squeezed, but like grocery store OJ with that strange preservative tang. Not for me. I do think the bottle is beautiful though.

ElsaJ

You ever try a perfume and immediately regret it, it's so overpowering and hideous you wish you could escape your own body? That's this perfume. Instant headache- cloying sickly sweet smell, like getting a bear hug from a hundred grandmas all at once. And it stays that way for hours and hours and hours- and just gets worse as the base emerges. Hell on earth. Husband couldn't be in the same room as me until it wore off.

Ulusia

It smells so pretty and innocent - not feminine, not sophisticated, but innocent pretty - fruity sweet and clean and optimistic. I can immagine a little girl to wear this. Even my children classified it as perfume for children.
The name does not match with the character of perfume.

SatinTulip

Love it! I am a gourmand lover through and through BUT this is incredible. It’s smells so feminine and it lasts a long time on my skin.

LiLoLiLo

This is a very sweet rosey, peary scent. At first it feels overwhelming and too heavy , the drydown is powdery. Overall it's a beautiful fragrance ,suitable for romantic summer evenings . The longevity is disappointing . I need to re-apply it every 2 hours .

Shikin27

Butterflybeauty described this perfume to perfection. This is indeed multi faceted perfume. You can't judge it on one spray for 5 mins. You need to wear it for at least a few days. This is the only perfume I have repurchased 3 times, 4 times counting the purchase today.

I wouldn't say this is a favourite but it's such a fun and surprising perfume. Yes the first half hour or so of sweetness is intense but the later development is surprising and mesmerising.

I have to add that this perfume lasts at least 12 hours on me with moderate projection. I live in sunny Singapore where it's sunny most days.

Plus, of all the perfumes I have this is the only one that husband will complement when I have it on. He don't even know which one it is.

dora_vajana

I can't tell you how this smells like because I am a lady and ladies don't talk like that, but girls, gotta tell you, forget all of your gourmand sweet or sexy amber vanilla fragrances whatever you think is sexy...men go crazy over this. I don't know if it's my skin chemistry or what, but yeah.... let's leave it to that.

Pinkmilktea85

I blind bought this and honestly, it wasn't a love at first sniff. But after wearing this perfume a couple of times, I can finally say that I love it and I'm addicted to this perfume! This has been my everyday scent because it's so wearable, definitely an all year round kind of perfume. It smells so pretty and feminine, smells like makeup but in a good way, projection is moderate and it lasts for about 6-7 hours on my skin, a bit longer on my clothes! I'm just so glad that I found this perfume because this is now my signature scent. I'm also thinking about using this as my wedding perfume because it's just so lovely, I really can't get enough of it ❤️

butterflybeauty

This is such a magnificent perfume. It is truly irresistible and I find myself reaching for this perfume every day. It is at the top of my favorite perfumes. I would describe this perfume as a fruity woody floral. Givenchy has once again accurately captured the scent of rose found in nature, as it had done in Very Irresistible (2003). I love this magnificent modern French perfume! I would describe this perfume as a dynamic and mesmerizing fruity woody floral.

The original Givenchy Very Irresistible EDT (2003) was my signature scent for many years and I have missed it dearly. I was so excited when this new Irresistible EDP (2020) came out, but then could not get to a shop that had a tester for me to try it. I had opted not to blind buy because I had read so many negative reviews in 2020 about it being overly sweet and not long lasting. I then waited until I finally found a tester at Woolworths in 2022. I sprayed it on a tester strip. It smelled quite sweet at first. I put it in my shopping bag. For weeks I could smell this beautiful scent on my shopping bags but couldn't find the tester strip. Once I finally found it, I placed it next to my desk and couldn't get over how beautiful and long lasting it was. It had me mesmerized. The negative reviews from 2020 were completely wrong. I fell in love with this perfume thanks to Woolworths having a tester. I then ordered a full size bottle and it has become one of my very favorite perfumes!

The opening of this perfume is sweet, but it is balanced quickly by the other notes. The pear is a refreshing sweet juicy pear. This pear then merges with the rose note. This is the truest form of rose in perfumery. I really love the smell of fresh roses and this scent captures that. It smells like a real rose. It is fresh and fruity but not powdery or dusty. The scent of real rose does have a fruity element. Here, the fruity aspect of the rose is enhanced by the pear and merges with it seamlessly.

Although the perfume opens with a sweet pear, it does not venture into gourmand territory. It is toned down and balanced by the iris. Ambrette bathes the perfume in warmth and gives it a comforting cashmere touch blended with the blond wood. The cedar wood gives a wonderful grounding woody element. This scent is balanced, long lasting and has good projection. It can be worn any time of the year day or night. It is multifaceted and versatile. It has been created in France by some of the top French perfumers. It makes me feel special and cared for. It is in a class of it's own. When I wear it I feel alluring, beautiful and sexy. My husband loves this on me.

The bottle is crafted of multifaceted glass, a rose gold cap and a textured ribbon that give it that distinct Givenchy touch. The campaign is an ode to the multifaceted sides of ourselves shown through the art of dance. The campaign has a charming aesthetic that reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face. It is a real ode to both Givenchy and Audrey- a beautiful friendship that lasted a lifetime. This perfume is a magnificent celebration and it is at the top of my very favorite perfumes. Thank you Givenchy, Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion, and Fanny Bal!!! I simply love this and will keep wearing it as long as you keep making it.

Nanalvzpink

This!!!
I sprayed it on my hand to test it out for a few hours.
Washed my hands with a generous amount of soap. Can you believe that this withstood the hand wash😱

rebeccawilkins97

One of my go-tos, and a personal favourite. I finished my first bottle and I'd repurchase. I have never had so many compliments and strangers asking me what fragrance I'm wearing. The initial spray is pear, along with musk. As it dries down, the floral notes become more potent.

girldeadbug

I didn’t like it at first, it smelled mature straight out the mail, but upon resting I really like it now. The fruity pear really comes through and I get a mix of Burberry Her EDP and Burberry Her EDT.

Chynahmiyake

I don’t get the negative reviews at all. This perfume is such a beautiful scent . It lasts on my clothes all day, I can still smell it the next day. On my skin I get a good 6hrs & 8hrs layered with cream. I have the 1.7oz I can’t wait to get the big bottle.

Nadine Ameur

Whatever they said , this is what heaven smells like to me , it's sweet but not in a sicky way I got so many compliments like everybody in room keep asking me what are you wearing 🥰
It's spring/ summer/ uplifting perfume 🥀 and soooo girly ♀️I enjoy wearing it 🤍

AlexandraM19

So thick and syrupy sweet. Makes it hard for me to breathe. The kind of scent that makes you wheeze when you smell it because it feels like a physical force in your nose and mouth. The bottle is pretty :(

Sniffit

This is a very pleasant fragrance. I love pear top notes which is why I chose it. I have both the EDP and EDT. The EDP lasts 3 hours which is an extra hour longer on me than the EDT.

Soapyrose

I am pleasantly surprised by this one. It's light and powdery on me. At first it has something fizzy or sparkly, but as time goes on it becomes more powdery and I can smell the Iris more. It's quite girly and really not offensive. I adore how light it is and how it reminds me of lemonade and powdery make up. If you like unique or dark and sultry perfumes you will find this one boring but if you want something that is fresh and girly, good for everyday wear than this one might be a perfect match :)

Simply_Cherelle

This is my IT perfume! Definitely a must have in every fragrance collection. It’s a nice blend of sweet and musk, and it lasts all day.

Lakreutter

I got 2 samples of this recently. One was sweet, fruity and musky and I loved it. The other was fruity and sweet but with a distinct spicyness and an earthiness that almost reads patchouli and I hated it. Which one is the true scent? Because one I love enough to buy a big bottle, the other I hated and will toss.

SophieGlnd

I received a sample and worn it a few times, the opening is quite strong, very fruity with the pear note, then it becomes more musky, floral and powdery. The longevity is good, I can still smell it after 7/8 hours.
It's very girly but classy at the same time, however I don't really like it, I find it a bit sickening, too sweet and musky. It's ok though, maybe more suitable for teenagers and younger women.

[email protected]

I like this fragrance a lot. On me, it is light and pretty. I'm not worried about over spraying this at all. It's becoming one of my favorites. It doesn't last as long as some if my other perfumes, I often reapply during the day, but this could be due to the fact that it is Summer. I'll see how it behaves in cooler weather. Therfore I rated the longevity and sillage as moderate. Appropriate to wear all year round. This review is for the EDP.

MrsTefee

I do like this perfume. I smell the pear and rose upon first spray, a nice pleasant fruity/floral opening. After about an hour it dries down into a skin scent of musk. The only complain I have is it doesnt really have any longevity, after a couple hours I feel the need to respray. However, my husband likes it so I decided to go for a bottle. I do not suggest buying full retail price as its not worth it! ~50 dollars or less is doable!

FreeBeing

Glad again for the free sample because I would have happily snagged a bottle based on the mention of musk/ambrette. The open is really soapy smelling - like a good and expensive hotel liquid soap but still... It's really good on the calm-down and I love the soft sweetness of the pear mingled with the musk. However, this is another one that does not last for me. I can deal with the fact that it's only a skin scent on me but the deal-breaker is the weak longevity.

carabara84

This reminds me so much of Lancôme La Vie Est Belle Intensement. The sweetness really comes out on my skin in this one the way it does in that. It’s one I enjoy getting wafts of, but makes me headache-y if I put my nose close to it. I wish the pear tartness in the opening would last throughout to balance the sweetness a bit.

olaszczepanik5

It's nice, very feminine and romantic, but I wouldn't purchase this. The opening was a beautiful pear, very strong, but after a few minutes it became very aquatic on my skin :(

Abjora

This is such a feminine, romantic, and delicate perfume! A perfume I'd associate with a fairy or a beautiful forest maiden with lush curls and a flowy dress. It's so pretty. Personally it's not my usual style but it has a hypnotizing quality; I can't stop smelling! At first spray it opens with more rose than anything else, but it is a sweet rose. After 10 minutes, it dries down to a more pear dominant scent with rose as a supporting note. The pear is syrupy but not heavy or cloying (my issue with La Belle, for example). The rose brings in the much needed freshness. I don't notice any other notes, although you could argue iris is present. I don't detect any woody notes which is disappointing! I think more woodiness would take this perfume from a strong like to a love for me.

PS_Nora

It smells nice, girly and pink but not too sweet. HOWEVER, my skin eats this up, no trace left after 15 minutes. Where does it go? I could reapply this one 72 times a day. My adidas edt lasts longer on me. So I gave this away.... and it lasts on my friend. I sprayed it on her wrist for her to try, she liked it so I gave it to her. One hour later she put her wrist in my face: STILL HERE. Several more hours later she texted me that she just got out of the shower... and she can still smell it. It's a mistery to me

shaeri87

Irresistible EDP: Love this fragrance! Givenchy is generally a house that I tend to enjoy. This is definitely a very feminine fragrance, the shade of pink they chose definitely matches the scent. I am also a sucker for a pear note, and really enjoy all of the notes listed in general. If you are someone who also enjoys a nice pear note, I think this is a safe blind buy as it is quite mass appealing. I wouldn't say this is particularly fruity, it is definitely more musky than fruity, but as someone who doesn't particularly care for musk (like Kayali or Initio, I prefer the Narciso musk) I am actually drawn to the musk scent from ambrette for some reason. I feel the iris lends a slight powderiness, and the rose definitely comes through, albeit not a rose-forward fragrance. The cedar in the base grounds this fragrance and prevents it from being overly musky. I appreciate the addition of some juicy fruit and also the rose/iris combination. There is a nice sweetness from the pear for the first couple of hours, and then the florals start to come in very softly. I don't find this fragrance to be particularly woody, it is more of a soft powdery musky/fruity/floral scent with a hint of sweetness. For me I find this scent projects quite a lot, so I do not need to overspray this one and I catch beautiful wiffs of this for the first 3 hours, then it starts to become more a skin scent for the remainder, but it is still very much there. I see many people think this fragrance is very fleeting, but on me it is quite long lasting. It is by no means a beast, but even in the heat I find this to be one of my longer lasting fragrances. Definitely a win for me!

Princessy

A very sweet and pleasure summer fragrance. The longevity and sillage are moderate, but is enough to still be noticed. I'll use this one for layering purpose as it's not super strong, and the top notes are the prettier. I think it's a pretty safe blind buy for everyone.

maritzza

This smells especially like rose, iris and musk. For me, this is a bit basic and off-putting. The good thing is, this is suitable for many occasions for someone that enjoys the notes.

foomybomb

Got this as a sample from Macy’s wasn’t expecting too much since I haven’t heard anyone talking about it. Opens up similar to delina like a creamy rose. Turned into something of a soap scent. I sprayed some on while I was getting unready for the night and by the time my head hit the pillow I could barely smell it. It smelled fresh and I could see it as a very likeable smell to a lot of people, but the lasting power is just terrible.

aqua76239

This is very dissapointing. I don't know how I got suckered into this scent, probably because after trying several scents at Ulta, I might have been smelling something else and this smelled like lovely fresh floral fruity scent. Alas, after I got home and properly tried it, I got very light insipid floral that is not very special. And which lasts only couple of hours if that. Very meh. If you like fresh sheer florals that have some sweetness and almost watery feel, this one is for you

Dort0625

I’m just bought a gift set of the full size EDP (80mls) and 75ml each in body wash and body lotion. I forgot how much I love this stuff and how versatile it is when it comes to when and how you wear it, it could easily be a colder weather fragrance and just as easily be a warmer weather fragrance. It’s so lovely and I think also could be worn by any “type” of person, you know how some fragrances scream for the CEO executive type, or some are for the outdoorsy woman, etc etc well I find this could be worn by anyone! So pretty!

Yllowstar7

I was hoping for more. Soki London made it seem like this was the shit.. giiiirrrlll why do you like this? I guess if you’re into the type of lotion smelling perfumes this is right up your alley. I thought it was going to be soft and beautiful. It really smells like I’m just wearing plain old lotion in my skin. Boring. Pretty safe blind. Like I can keep it but I know I will not reach out for it often.

2Ladybugz

Ugghh Irresistible frustrates me. It opens up with bright pear, in your face fruit with some indistinguishable floral mixed in. then it fades pretty quickly into the lower notes of musk and cedar. I wish it would linger in the florals a bit longer, not nearly enough rose or iris...i couldn't detect them. Lots of unmet potential, definitely not worth the price, because it's musky and then gone SO fast.

AquaBaby5

Nothing groundbreaking but it’s a fruity musk rose. Nothing stands out as disagreeable on my skin, and it’s actually quite pleasant to wear. It’s better than Very Good Girl which turns plasticky on me, but to me it gives a similar vibe just a bit lighter on the rose. Would not have thought to try this if not for a free sample. Would not purchase unless found for VERY cheap but it’s nice and I’ll wear the sample when I want something easy to wear in this genre.

Edit: six sprays from the sample and I don’t think I can smell it 3 hours later, very short lived.

6/10: my husband really liked the smell after first applied and he is quite picky. Still not worth FB price.

Later edit: I gave in as I found a good deal on Mercari. The lasting power is better from the bottle! I can smell it softly around me after 5 hours.

Samanthabdel

Pretty but one of the most short lived fragrances in my collection! I wouldnt purchase this for retail price.

Dani83

An absolutely stunning scent it’s so addictive I can’t stop sniffing perfect for the warmer months smells like holiday in the sun ☀️

YLC629

I thought I'd give this one a try as Givenchy Very Irresistible is one of my longest term fave scents. This just isn't anything comparable. It starts out really pretty, I enjoyed the opening. But, it doesn't have a lot of depth nor is it super unique. I did not like the dry down. It just smelled weird and kind of plastic on me. It also lasted less than one hour on my skin.

realitygreene

Irresistible is a really good fragrance. Wow. I'm a bit shocked at how much I liked this on my skin. I know, I know, pear is so popular and it's in every new designer fragrance, but....I really like it! 😍 I love a good juicy pear note. Luckily, it never (knock on wood) goes sour or bitter on my skin. So the opening here is juicy pear with a musky floral note. The rose and iris emerges and that's when this fragrance shines. It's so feminine and pretty! Unlike Lancome Idole though, the rose isn't cloying to me in here. Just when I start to think this fragrance can't get any better the musk and cedar notes emerge. It's just so good. I am a big fan of woody notes, especially in base notes, and especially when paired with more traditional "feminine" notes. This fragrance is super good. I want to try all the flankers before buying a bottle of this though, but it is going on my wish list!

Also, I got my first compliment from a stranger while wearing this! Thanks, Dunkin Donuts cashier. 🍩

Szafirowy czar

It's a beautiful perfume, a bit seductive but not too much. I must admit that I've been a little stuck on my way to find a signature fragrance for the warmer evenings, so am very relieved to discover that Givenchy's Irresisitible seems to be a good contender. It's quite mesmerizing

helenearne

Very pretty and summery! It opens with a sweet fresh pair that lasts around 10 minutes. The cedar gives it a lovely slightly peppery undertone. It dries into a musky, mellow pear with a hint of rose.
Does not last long though, so definitely carry a travel size with you!

giantenemykat

beautiful fragrance but it didn’t last on me. smells like a pretty girl. gives me high school senior straight A student vibes. it’s fantastic but lacks depth. the scent didn’t change on me at all which is nice in some ways. wouldn’t purchase though because it just disappeared within a couple hours

Anelalm

I tried to love it but couldn’t. Yes, it is pretty, yes, it is likeable, it has potential, but I found no depth; someone mentioned girl hairspray… and I could’t shake that smell off my head! That’s what I get, a chemical smell that ruins the perfume, because I love what lies underneath and this chemical veil stops it from shining as it can. A two toned butterfly, beautiful in its simplicity, sprayed by a four year old “tiaras and toddlers” girl chasing it with screechy hairspray. I tried to, but had to return it.

PS_Nora

Absolutely lovely, fresh and cute and clean and springy, makes me happy! BUT! the longevity is non-existent. It lasts like 20 minutes? And for those 20 minutes, I can only smell it if I press my nose against my wrist and snort like I am trying to inhale my whole wrist. So bummed about that. Idk why... I have another Givenchy perfume, l'inderdit, and I do not have this issue with that one. This would be my favorite perfume if it lasted more than 20 minutes on my skin.

billy_krimber

literally agree w what rinacart says

RinaCart

Girl next door perfume. Cute, fluffy but also a bit sexy. It's a bit generic but I honestly really liked this when I smelt it on a sample. I was looking for a spring perfume and this definitely screams spring, just so girly but not in a juvenile way. Tempted to buy a bottle but need to test longevity.

bazbazar

I literally stopped a woman in her tracks to ask her what she was wearing because even from a metre and a half away, she smelled like HEAVEN: the most angelic, stereotypically "cool girl" and unforgettable scent, and she answered "That one perfume from Givenchy... Irresistible if I'm not wrong". I personally tried the EDP and it was too much pear and musk but this is different (or maybe that woman's skin chemistry was just made specifically for this perfume?) and better worked on and more mature. Warm, sweet and rich, it really is irresistible.

Stoicchild

This scent gives a vibe of a woman who doesn't know how to flirt but is very beautiful inside and out and that's why men like her. It screams "forever crush". As in it's very difficult to dislike her, there's nothing negative about her, men instantly fall for her, and women stalk her to know what is it about her that men like so much! The perfect girl next door who wakes up flawless and you stalk her to find her flaws, but you fail every time!

I can imagine Katherine Langford wearing this and men just melting without her doing much. The type of woman men look forward to introducing to their mothers and their mothers instantly approve! It's a very pretty scent, irresistible is the perfect name for it because I was not into the Givenchy perfume line but I found this irresistible (=

Shalize

Undeniably cute , soft and gentle . But doesn’t last that long . Sadly
But smells like a cloud of cuteness

Emilyfilia

This is a very fruity scent, I find that it doesn't last very long so if you don't mind reapplying then this won't be a problem, I don't usually go for fruity perfumes but this is nice.

frog-enthusiast

I've never had so many compliments on a fragrance before — from men and women alike! I even had my friend who is a RELIGIOUS black opium user ask to borrow it before a night out because she liked it so much. I've tried the other irresistible fragrances (live irresistible, very irresistible, floral irresistible, etc...) and this is by far my favourite. It's a very sweet, fruity, fresh perfume, perfect for daytime use. My only qualm is that I wish it lasted longer.

perfumemaniac13

I never would’ve thought I’d really enjoy this perfume based on the notes alone (I’m more of a fruity and gourmand girl) but WOW, this perfume is so nice! Smells like delicate soft roses with pear, not screechy at all. It’s a nice spring fragrance.

sugarfreespirit

I received a sample of this and immediately thought it was a nice, sweet scent. It's not my usual thing so I can smell it harshly for an hour or 2 before I become noseblind. Safe, pleasant and not overbearing. I see what people mean about it resembling shampoo but I disagree that it smells cheap. A nice young woman scent, safely sweet and ok for everyday. Not my thing though :) but I'd gladly buy this as a gift for *any* of my friends and be sure that they would like it!

seliko

honestly, i feel like this is an underrated one. initial spray was sugary and i was able to pick up on the pear note which tingled my nose in a pleasant way lol, and then it turned into a slightly fresh, feminine, lighthearted scent. when i saw reviews mentioning the freshness i was put off a little, because i don’t mind fresh scents but i don’t love them either. however it’s subtle in this perfume and i really like it. it’s very suitable for the daytime !

Skinscents4Fusspots

I sprayed this today and instantly thought of Fairy Love by escada. They have different notes but somehow they just smell so similar! The pear is at the forefront of both and they’re both quite sweet. I’m not mad for either but I think if you like irresistible then Fairy Love might be a safe blind buy, plus you can get that for such a bargain price nowadays!

Productaddict911

This is the perfect signature daytime or work scent in my opinion. Fresh and clean with a hint of sparkling pear.
Lasts about half the day but I don’t mind as I like to freshen up after lunch to reapply. Cheerful vibes with this scent. :)

LanaDelSlay

This smells so classy and cute, spring in a bottle. You can smell a hint of rose but in such a powdery way that is just so beautiful, etheral, soft and kind. It's mixed in with fruitiness but not in an overbearing way, or a teenager way. It's subtle and goes well together with the Rose and powdery feel. After it settles down for hours, all I smell is the powdery scent to it. It's just incredibly beautiful. But I think this lasted for 4 hours, and now it's just a subtle powdery scent that I'm sure only I can smell and maybe people if they get close to me

secret_history

I tested this yesterday and it is lovely, with excellent sillage and longevity. If you enjoy florals and sweetness, with a hint of fruit, consider this fragrance. A little goes a long way. It smells feminine, bold, and expensive. I imagine ladies wearing this to an exclusive springtime event featuring sparkling beverages, high heels, and pale pink manicures.

melusina1982

Easy reach for every day if you are into shampooey soft flowers with a little sweetness. I found it a little boring to be honest.

Darkgarden

A soft sweet scent with a dash of powder is how I would describe this.
It’s not overly sweet or juvenile but fresh. Like soap or laundry detergent.
Smelling it encloses me in a sense or warmth and cozyness.

It’s however a little boring. I can’t see myself wearing this scent often or even again.

cacemonster

I am very unsure of this is the correct one i tried as they are confusingly similar looking, but the bottle said this, and the notes makes so sense, so I will leave a review :) this is instantly bringing me back to 1999, when I used cacharel noa. This is somewhat more juicy in a way when i smell directly on my skin, but absolutely so similar when I catch wiffs. This is so musky, and powdery maybe from the iris. I dont like it much as I no longer enjoy so much musk. It is quite strong actually. 1 spray and I can easily smell it on me for hours. Its not offensive in any way, rather clean and comforting, just not my taste. I think of this as a scent you could have as your signature if you enjoy it. It will probably work all year, although I consider it kinda spring like daytime.

AR13

Received a free sample and I really like this scent. I like a more musky floral like this, but for me this smells exactly like shampoo, so I’ll be passing on this one.

Memeluv

I like it, but I definitely don’t love it. I believe I jumped the gun with this one by buying a full bottle based on a tiny sample I had gotten somewhere. It is a light and pretty scent, but it’s giving very much cheap shampoo vibes.

paranoka

Musky rose, not a whole lot I have to say about this one. Musk is hit or miss on me so I wouldn't wear it but I'm sure it's nice on the right person

emerson10

A dewy, watery, sparkling rose with soft iris notes that give a little ballerina doll quality. I get the comparisons to Idole w the pear note, but this is much softer and dewier. Very angelic ballerina vibes -- perfect teenager scent. Barbie-ish but in a soft fresh rose way.

The reviews are always over the top on here. Perfume is subjective and personal everything does not smell good on everyone.

I bought a tester of this today and for ME it’s an easy reach. I smell pretty. I smell a creamy pear with a bit of spice. I like it.

coffeefifofum

Musky, sweet and rose. Limited sillage. Fades significantly in four hours. There's a slight chemical underbite to my nose, but I'm an ambroxan oversmeller and I get that fairly often in modern musky with wood formulations. It's not bad, it's present in a way that will cause me to pass on it.

grapefruit352

To me it very much reminds Hugo Boss The Scent Pure Accord for Her. Almost identical.

nektarinka

This one is quite nice and fresh, first 10 minutes is exactly like Aqua di Parma’s Magnolia Nobile, then it softens to musky fresh roses, with something like Hugo Boss MaVie. Feminine but fresh, not sure about the sillage as testing from vial sample, but could be bottle worthy for spring time as it’s pretty. Not sugary sweet, but sweet musky and def.fresh.

*loves_shoes*

I love pear in fragrances, and this is a lovely fruity Rose, with a musky, powdery dry down.

Edit: tried it again, it’s lovely. Light and sweet and fruity, just feminine and gorgeous. It goes a bit peachy in the dry down. Not usually my sort of scent but I really do enjoy this one. But my Roja enigma currently fills this need for me, but I’d honestly consider this when that runs out!

Edit 2: Very fruity, very sweet, the Rose is well blended and fruity rather than real. The freshness is light and airy, a bit watery, but overall is just so sweet and fruity it gives me a headache. won’t be able to buy a bottle after all.

takema

I have never understood why this fragrance seemed to be completely ignored by the fragrance community when it was launched. I agree that it's not particularly unique and has a formula that every brand seems to be releasing...musky fruity florals. But I find Irresistable is one of the better of that category. When I wear it I get mostly a very musky, sweet, clean rose. It gets a little creamy as it dries on my skin. It's quite youthful, and I can see some people finding it too youthful. Perhaps more suitable to a teen than a grown woman. I find the muskiness keeps it from being too young for me.

The performance is far better than I expected. It lasts most of the day on me, easily 8-10 hours. For at least half of that time it has fairly strong projection. The projection becomes a fair bit softer, but is still pretty noticeable. This fragrance works well in any weather, but my favourite time to wear it is spring. The rose is fresh and pink. It is an easy reach fragrance for me. Great when I just want to smell pretty.

I find the bottle design quite appealing. It gives me the impression of quilted glass. I love the rose gold accents and even the rose gold coloured juice. A cap that clicks nicely into place. A nice change since Givenchy bottle often have those odd shaped triangular caps that are a bit obnoxious.

So generic. Next
