L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum by Issey Miyake is a Floral fragrance for women. L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum was launched in 2018. L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum was created by Fanny Bal and Dominique Ropion. Top notes are Honey, Pear and Bergamot; middle notes are Rose, Water Notes and Peony; base notes are Cashmeran, Ambergris, White Musk, Sandalwood and Violet.

At the beginning of 2018, the new flanker launches, called L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum, which represents a bottled drop of blossoming flower nectar.

L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum is developed by perfumers Fanny Bal and Dominique Ropion as a floral-woody scent. The Nectar edition represents "the ultimate stage in the metamorphosis of water, from sea to dew and from dew to rose." The composition begins with a sweet pear accord. Rose absolute forms the floral heart of the perfume, described as honeyed. The base contains sandalwood, ambergris and signature cashmeran.

The flacon design that draws on a drop of water and retains certain similarities with the original is coloured in rose gold this time. The fragrance is available as a 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum.

The Scentimentalist

Boils down to two notes for me: rose and anko (sweet Japanese adzuki bean paste). I don't like anko, let alone anko-flavored rose. But the scent is strong and long lasting. If you are not bothered by the scent association, it could be a lovely daily driver.

I had a couple of samples of this and I wasn’t sure I’m going to like it because of the honey note, but I was actually pleasantly surprised. The honey note with the aquatic notes gives of a very pleasant and unique vibe. Fresh, yet sweet. It prevents it from becoming a generic aquatic scent. Mix that with the pear, roses, musk and violet and the result is a beautiful sweet, fresh floral. Very elegant and easy to wear.

So delicious
Sweet perfect scent
But on me dry down creates a green note
Like raw egg scent
I forgot if it fully developed into egg scent or just green note
Either way cannot take risk
As I bought their petal one I think
And it waa beautiful opening like this
But raw egg scent in dry down for me

paupadua

Sweet fruity floral scent like ripe fruits. Its fresh and stays long on my skin and clothes. This is one of my signature scents as I've emptied three bottles already and be really sad if this would be discontinued.

Nahobino

L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar is a soft, youthful rose that I was happy to stumble upon and experience.

I do wish Pure Nectar didn't have pear as a note in it. The honey and rose are in perfect harmony: not too sweet, not too "stereotypical perfume-y perfume" rose. But the pear adds an overwhelming amount of sweetness to the fragrance. Pure Nectar is just a tad too sweet for my personal preference when it comes to perfumes, especially rose perfumes.

Nonetheless, Issey Miyake offers quite the catalogue of stunning fresh floral perfumes and Pure Nectar is no exception.

Lovescents3

Fresh and clean gentle florals. I mostly get the violet with some gentle musk and light amber.

A very pleasant spring time floral. Good for office and other day wear. Something demure about it.

I liked it a lot at one point and have gone through two bottles of this. I no longer like predominantly gentle floral scents so will not be repurchasing. But we enjoyed our time together.

MrAbbas

This scent is like a calming floral scent. Has an innocence to it. It smells like a somehow lighter Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotic, but I prefer the exnihilo. The honey with rose gives it that jasmine like effect. It sweet yet fresh and versatile. I can see people really liking it but on me it has a bad performance and doesn't last. I wanted more because I really like it scent wise. Price is great also.

rogue_robin

is this discontinued, along with premiere fleur and petale de nectar? they don’t appear on the issey miyake parfums site anymore.

silverlocusts

I have discovered somewhat recently that I do not care much for pear in fragrance. I don't know if this perfume uses a different component for its pear scent or if it is just balanced with other things that suit my tastes more, but here the pear is noticeable but not a turnoff for me. Pure Nectar is the perfect name for this fragrance--it smells of flowers, honey, and fruits all at the same time without any one dominating. It is smooth, and there's even a silkiness or creaminess to it, probably from the cashmeran-musk-sandalwood base that marries very seamlessly to the top and mid notes. This perfume is composed very well, and the bottle gives a good representation of what the scent stands for. This is the early morning golden hour distilled into a single drop that, like magic, you can savor all day. It isn't a love for me, but a strong like, simply because it is a spring and early summer only scent for me. -

I had this scent sitting in various online carts but never pulled the trigger because I wasn't sure if I would like to bb this or not. The last thing I need is another bb that I'd wind up rarely if ever wearing, but while making a purchase last week on Fragrancenet for another item I checked out the price for this scent and saw they had samples available. I am so glad I was able to get one because even though this is nice, I found I already have something that smells very similar.
Karl Lagerfeld for Her smells exactly the same to me on first spray; very nectar rich and fruity sweet. But while that stays nectarous sweet throughout the wear later joined by a medley of florals, this becomes dry and a little peppery spicy with barely detectable florals, the rose being the most prominent.
Personally, I find Lagerfeld more fitting of the "nectar" description than this, and I also like the juicy fruit and florals used in that composition more. Since my favorite part of this fragrance is the opening, I can get the same juicy opening notes in Lagerfeld, but in that fragrance, it lasts throughout the wear while this becomes dry with a heavy rose presence. So, I prefer that.
But even if I didn't have anything like that, I still wouldn't be interested in adding this to my wardrobe because I am not the biggest fan of aquatic fragrances or that barely there aesthetic. Since I already have L'eau d'Issey and Shades of Sunrise, I am pretty set as far as perfumes I am interested in from this brand.

For someone who claimed not to like roses, I sure have acquired quite a few roses in my wardrobe - and I’ve got the whole range. I’ve got my fruity rose, soapy rose, musky rose and finally my favourite - the woody rose. This? This is a golden rose, if ever there is such a thing. Honey and I are not the best of friends (looking at you, Scandal) but in here, the honey almost enhances the rose’s natural sweetness, making it warmer. I also smell subtle hints of the trademark L’eau D’Issey DNA, and it makes me smile to see how beautifully it has been incorporated into this scent. I don’t always like cashmeran (which is why I had hesitated before buying this) and neither do I like ambergris, but in here it simply lends to making this feel rich and warm and fresh all at the same time. Can you tell I am in love?

I see this working all year round, and performance is quite good. I’d wear this with a flowy dress, something quite girly - and pair it with dianty kitten heels and let my hair loose. Such a happy, pretty scent! Also for some reason this gives me the same vibes as Idole Intense, even though they are completely different scents.

Marisa36

This fragrance was never on my radar until I got a whiff of it over the past December holidays in the Southern Hemisphere (blue skies and 37 degrees Celsius). I was really pleasantly surprised. Gorgeous, breezy and very put together for a night out. Reminds me somewhat of Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia, but they’re by no means dupes. Back home I immediately purchased a 30ml. Not as sparkly on a cold and rainy day in The Netherlands, but still beautiful. Can’t wait to wear it this summer. I would say more mature leaning 30 +.

umayy

it was one of my signature perfumes. it gets too much compliments. i get the rose a lot. i would say it's not a safe blind buy perfume if you like more mature, heavy perfumes.

Suicidal_wizard

I normally dont like rose fragrances. The only one i ever accepted and liked, a lot, was chloe edp.
This is hands down the second runner up. The honeyed rose is so aquatic and watery it doesnt feel like your typical head heavy rose. Gorgeous scent. Beautiful bottle.

Kcbear28

My first ever Issey Miyake. I've recently gone crazy and blind bought lots of perfumes online cos it's Novenber and Christmas is coming. I tend to do this every few years just to see what's available on the market. And I've found this little beauty! It's fresh but it has that back bone of good perfumes like you're being wrapped in its freshness. Its a firm like for me. Obviously, I'm gonna wear it in summer but I think it can work very well in winter too.

gheea0

No one else thinks this smells like grapes?

I first fell in love with L'Eau d'Issey Pure for women when I smelled in in the airport on our way to a city break. I was debating whether to get it because it was pricier than what I usually spent on perfume (I bought it a few years later for my mom).. A year passes and I'm in the airport again on my way to a summer beach vacation to Cyprus. I checked the Issey Miyake stand and I discovered the gem that is Nectar. To me it smells like red grapes, the very sweet and fragrant kind. It's sweet but not cloying and takes me back to summer when ever I smell it. I also love the rose notes and have received many compliments for it. Longlasting and moderate to strong sillage (a bit less on both compared to La Vie Est Belle l'Eclat for example), 2 sprays is just right to not suffocate people around you. Will buy again.

perfumesniffer

bought this due to the recent passing of Issey Miyake. With all due respect this is a SHRIEKY rose fragrance. not especially sweet and honey doesn’t show up for me. When I want honey it’s Slowdive from Hiram Green. This is basically a duplicate of Lancôme Idole. It vanished after 90 minutes so I wasn’t concerned about the shrill high pitched green roses anymore. The bottle is nice I guess.

Bleuetsauvage

Pour moi ce parfum me rappelle
L'odeur du miel de bleuets sauvages cueillit en forêt par une journée chaude mais attention il est SALÉ plus que tout

cheleine

Does this share the same DNA as the original EDT? And is it similar to L'eau d'Issey Absolue with that honey nectar note? Can't find in person here.
PM please. 💛

ingeneuxo

-Honeyed, fresh green scent.
-A gem from the house of Issey. (-)

Madrina

I fell in love with the Issey Miyake brand when L'Eau D'Issey first came out. Smelled it on a colleague in the gentlemen's club I worked at in the mid to late 90s. I've never been disappointed by anything this house came out with, but Pure and Pure Nectar are my absolute favourites. I love it more than the original L'Eau.

Nectar smells like a spicy, creamy rose on me. Because it can overpower more than the Pure flanker, two small spritzes on my cashmere scarves, sweaters or leather jacket and belt are more than enough. It's even more powerful than my signature, DKNY For Her. I have a love for fresh and aquatic scents.

Just bought four 90ml bottles in case they reformulate.

Soccergreat88

This is a nice honey dominant perfume with some soft florals to balance it out.

Not mature not juvenile but perfect for honey lovers.

The honey can get a bit sickening for me since I am not the biggest honey fan but it is a beautiful scent that will make you feel lovely

Yessamin

This thrid opus is adorned with the pure, natural sweetness of flowers and fruits. Stunningly fresh.

It is an EDP so it is quite intense and might be headache inducing for some. At least for me it is but I love the scent.

DJoy27

This smells like if Delina and Philosophy Nude Rose had a baby

ParisLoveXo

Sharp rose peony and honey . Love this

Linnealicia

I am not a big fan of freshies, or of fruity scents but I LOVE this one! I definitely think it's thanks to the pear and the ambergris note. The ambergris is very much in the background, but it makes it so much more classy and expensive smelling (compared to many other fruit-heavy fragrances) and pear is simply one of my favourite fruity notes. The honey and rose are also very prominent. It's watery, fresh, happy and it screams sunny weather to me. Lasting power is surprisingly good for such a fresh perfume.

washudtoj

You gotta love honey to appreciate this one.

Thankfully, I do like honey. And slightly sweet fragrances, so naturally this one is going to be a positive review.

Mind you, the opening is a little messy. I got a mumble-jumble of florals for about ten minutes, which I didn't care for a whole lot. However, when it settles, the most beautiful honey note comes out and... it's divine.

It's not just honey though. The florals are still there, but there is a slight rose base that holds everything together, as opposed to the messy opening earlier. The sweetness certainly comes out. If you like Nectar d'Issey Première Fleur, you'll like this one, as well.

It has some amount of the original l'Eau d'Issey DNA, but I think it's sweeter and not as sharp.

Certainly a feminine fragrance. And an extremely pleasant one, too.

Longevity and sillage are moderate. I think the original and l'Eau d'Issey Pure are stronger.

Bottom line, it's very nice, but you have to like sweet fragrances and honey to enjoy this.

PS. All the three copper-coloured 'nectar' d'Isseys smell really close to one another. Just pick one!

MsFCAS

This is lovely. I hope no one is offended by this, but I think it's very young. I could see it being a wonderful gift for a 14 year old girl. I can't see myself wearing it as I feel it has little depth, but it may be nice for layering. Will experiment!

marijacernei

Najljepši parfem na svijetu.

watergirl

In my skin it smelled better than IM L’eau de Issey, I really wanted to like IM fragrances, love all the concept and the notes, but unfortunately it doesn’t work with my skin. Give a try before buy.

LMD

First impressions
Hmm. It has a synthetic vibe. The opening you can't pick out any one note just that "I am a perfume" thing so many fragrances have going on, especially those brands with a million perfumes and flankers of flankers. The honey is similar to the dkny honey- synthetic and nothing like honey.
Four hours later:
It has dried down to a skin scent now. That awful synthetic smell has quietened down. I can only smell something when I put my wrist up to my nose, and I get musk and barely there violet. This just isn't for me and I'm glad I only got a sample.

trinitynd

smells good on paper but on the skin… sadly made me nauseous.

VioletOrchid

Hmmm... I’m so sad I haven’t been lucky with Issey Miyake. I got a carded sample of this one hoping to love it. Well... I like it. That’s all. It’s an aquatic rose and that’s what stands out the most to me. It’s not as delicious as I imagined from the notes. I find it to be generic in a sense and definitely unisex. Unfortunately, I will stop at the carded sample.

cookygirl

This is a beautiful, rosey iteration of L'Eau d'Issey Pure.
I will not be purchasing as I have a still very full bottle of the original Pure edp and I feel that I do not need both.
However, this fragrance has given me the idea to layer something rosey with the Pure to round it off and soften it.

Palmer Eldritch

Goodness GRACIOUS this is a 200% LOVE at 1st sniff! So gorgeous & uplifting!

'Pure Nectar' is just the most mouthwatering aquatic honey, pear & rose blend I've ever set my nose on. As it dries down the base notes, specifically the cashmeran / ambergris combo, gives this fragrance more depth & sophistication. On my skin the refreshingly creamy honey and aquatic rose never fade. I cannot explain how satisfying it is to smell :)
Surprisingly seductive, modern, elegant...and a compliment collector for me!

Easily became my #1 summer fragrance, along with 'L'Eau D'Issey Absolue'. Both are hot-weather feminine masterpieces that have a permanent spot in my roster. Not to mention 'L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar' has STRONG longevity and silage, which is rare for aquatics! I only need a few sprays.

Highly highly recommend, it's absolutely delightful!

blindboughtjunkie

This is reminiscent of all those childhood summers spent picking honeysuckles on open fields and sucking the juice out of them. It's boozy, a little sweet and very rose-heavy, but elegant and airy all at once. The honey smells real and it's a light and delicate honey. It's nice on its own, but paired with a spicier oriental, this shines like a boss. With Vanilla Woods from the 7 Virtues, WOW this is a gorgeous and sugary sweet rose-honey caramel, and with Armani Si Fiori, it becomes a rich rose candy smell that satisfies my Delina itch. I just can't stop smelling myself. This is an easy grab-n-go for warmer days and I'll be looking forward to wearing this all summer long.

HibiscusLola

I was almost buying this but I ended with a sample. I am sooo happy to have saved my money because this is literally a PR Lady Million dupe.
To me, it smells exactly like it, sweet floral and strong.
Nothing like l’eau d’Issey.
I had Lady Million many years ago, it smells good but it’s not my cup of tea.

annasarahr121

This is my Second Review of this Fragrance, having lived with it for a while...

L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar is elegant and beautiful, a boozy pear-inflected rose, more elegant than the original light freesia/lily of the valley scent, with a sweet honey richness. I've tried the original L'Eau d'Issey and find it casual, too cold and stripped down, plus it has a "bathroom cleanser" aspect that "freshies" sometimes have (like Chloe EDP, for example, which is pretty EXCEPT for the cleanser-fresh note that ruins it for me). I've also tried L'Eau d'Issey Pure, which is like an even MORE bare bones version of the original L'Eau d'Issey, so I like that one even less. But Pure Nectar is wonderful! It's so full of rich, delicious tones that the fresh, aquatic "clean" note that's problematical to me in the original is not an issue at all here, but rather acts to tone down the fragrance from becoming cloying; to me, it's perfect -- honey-rosy rich but fresh at the same time. Pure Nectar is good all year round, fresh enough for spring and summer, but also cozy enough for cold weather, too. Just like the original, it's a very linear scent. It's one of my recent favorites and I highly recommend it if you enjoy rose scents. :)

annasarahr121

Wow! This is a beautiful rose perfume, mostly, with that almost boozy honeyed pear note up top and those L'Eau d'Issey light floral and aquatic notes in the drydown. I resisted L'Eau d'Issey and its flankers, literally, for years, being an old school chypre, aldehydic floral, and classic oriental fan. But as I delved into more recently formulated stuff, I think I've been introduced to the L'Eau d'Issey DNA in spite of myself, as so much echoes it. Pure Nectar is very beautiful to me, as a rose (and honey) lover, and inspired me to take out my fresh (vs. dark) rose scents to compare. Pure Nectar's rose is green and dewy, a little like Hilfiger's Tommy Girl and Tea Rose (Perfumer's Workshop). The projection seems moderate, I think, but I'm not sure yet about the longevity on my skin. I've heard the original L'Eau d'Issey has excellent performance, so I'm hoping Pure Nectar will, too. Overall, though, I love it!

u24masonl

As an enormous fan of the original, this perfume is disappointing. Of course you expect a flanker to smell different from its big sister (otherwise it would be pointless) but for me, this has lost the essence of what makes L'eau D'issey so magical.

The rose is very strong in this for me and is bordering on cloying. The honey, while not discernible in its own right (a shame, because I love honey) has only served to make this perfume syrupy sweet and to overpower the fresh, aquatic coolness that makes L'eau D'issey so distinguishable.

That being said, for the money I bought it for (it was on a 'buy 90ml, get a 30ml bottle free' promotion) I don't feel hugely short changed.

Sillage and projection is good. It is a feminine perfume which, if used sparingly, is not unpleasant. For me, it falls into the Caroline Herrera 'Good Girl' camp. Nice, yes; fruity floral, yes... but unfortunately rather basic. I shall be gifting the 30ml bottle to a friend.

Saying all of this, if you love the original perfume and are looking for an injection of sophisticated honey/summer sweetness without losing L'eau D'issey's magic, you simply have to try the Absolue version. Now THAT is a summer flanker done right.

Nil3

No, no ...and no.

I get no honey.
Only roses , and not in a good way , and aquatic notes ....also not in a good way.

My BFF is super happy now !

I used to think this is more for women although I have quite a few ladies fragrances I have and enjoy wearing then I started testing on myself with this one. I always loved how it smelled on a paper and fabric or just in the air but this time, I tried it on me.(I’m a guy) Initial scents are mixture of sweet, effervescent, floral rosy and spicy. But it was a bit more floral. Good thing that I LOVE 😍 rose scents so I don’t mind most rose fragrances EXCEPT!☝🏽 grandma rose🥀 or potpourri rose...🤢🤮
This one has huge dose of roses but thanks to honey, the roses smell more like candy rose, not those dark velvety or dusty rose. A little bit fresher side with the mixture of peony which I also LOVE💕. So after a while, the fragrance turns to more spicy sweet woody rose on me with still a touch of clean feel. But it’s Oriental scent meet a little bit of Western element. I usually spray quite a bit so that will make it last longer and I can enjoy the sillage and the longevity. Pretty much close to half a day or more if I put more. I also do spray some more later on to enjoy the opening scents. I’m so glad that I tried it and now it’s one of my favourite rose fragrances other than “Fleur Musc” by Narciso Rodriguez 💖 and Cartier Declaration “D’un Soir” AND a lot of Middle Eastern fragrances that typically have rose + oud or wood combo which I also LOVE ❤️. I’ve got one from ARMAF called “Shades Wood” which is very deep & dark rose with oud + woody notes. Very powerful yet comforting fragrance for non Arabic, Middle Eastern descent. Any guys who are open minded can pull this Nectar de Parfum off. 👍🏽👍🏽✨🌹🍯🪵

AnaisLouLou

I like this perfume better than it's new flanker Premiere Fleur. It has more of the Issey Miyake DNA and it's uplifting. On the opening, there's fresh pear on an aquatic and peony background. In the dry down, it's a beautiful natural, honeyed pear. Strong and very long lasting. 1-2 sprays is enough. Quite a feminine perfume. It's a juicy fruity.

Personally, I like green florals and cold chypres. It's the complete opposite of what I'm normally attracted to, but it's a great addition to my collection. I've been using it every morning!

Pure Nector sort of smells like a fresh honeyed pear version of L'Imperatrice 3.

Dellow

I blind bought this after reading reviews. Not what I expected at all. I'm a big fan of L'Eau d'Issey the original, and fresh and clean scents in general. But I was on the hunt for a sweet and warm perfume for the colder weather. I easily get a headache, especially by the sweet perfumes, so I thought this would be the perfect blend of sweet and fresh as people described it.
It's not sweet at all so I don't know why people say that! It's Fresh and crisp with a flower twist. The honey and pear does nothing for me. I smell only rose and rose can be a very heavy and headachy note.
So unfortunately this wasn't for me. But if you like a heavy rose scent this is definitely for you.

SailorV

When I first tried Pure Nectar on a blotter I found it quite screechy and didn't plan on testing it further. Luckily I got one of those little cards that have a perfume-soaked piece of cloth under a foil on them and tried that on my skin, and I was so positively surprised! Of course I have also sprayed it on me from tester bottles a few times since then. It just has to be tried on skin to unfold.

The opening blast is loud and very clean, almost soapy. You can smell the typical aquatic L'Eau d'Issey DNA and additional peony and sweet roses. The honey note is also intense and very pretty. I didn't like the honey in L'Eau d'Issey Absolue and some other scents, but this one is different, it's clean and pure. Together with the fresh pear it's really like nectar. Sandalwood and cashmeran make a fluffy, creamy base for the fresh notes.
Good for daytime use without being forgettable, clean and sweet without smelling like a shampoo.

I was always drawn to the classic L'Eau d'Issey, but it doesn't work on me as I'm not a fan of lily of the valley. This flanker is perfect for me, close enough to satisfy any cravings for the watery freshness of the original, but warmer and easier to wear.

Jana711xx

It’s a beautiful fragrance not overly sweet and lasts ages on my skin. It reminds me very much of Escape by Calvin Klien, similar base notes but not so floral on the opening. It is the most repurchased perfume in my current collection

Saj_Shae

This is refreshingly gorgeous. The honeyed pear and rose are so beautifully well blended. It's feminine, uplifting and sophisticated.

Mona Lygre

I am intoxicated - in a very nice way!!

I must most seriously consider to buy a full bottle of this great perfume.

I got it in a tester, and it smells so very nice in my nose and on my skin.

There is much pear in it, but not that sour thing as with other pear scents, it's gone after 10 min., and than the rose and honey comes throug, oh, it's so perfect blended. It's also very clean, and fresh, kinda green with white flowers.

It reminds me of Fleur de Pecher of Karl Lagerfeld and my most beloved Kenzo parfum d'ete 1992, or perhaps a mix of them both, so, than you got an idea of what this beauty is all about =))

Jmalone84

The only Issey I like. Lush, dewy and crisp. Fruit and honey softens the composition. If you find the original L’eau D’Issey cloying you may consider this option. Sillage and longevity is very good, one tiny spray gives you lovely whiffs all morning.

For anyone interested I have the limited edition IGO cap. It’s very lightweight, not metal. And reminds me of a delicate gold vermeil. Super cute and reminds me of a little robot. I don’t generally like aquatic fragrances at all but this is one exception. I hope to get a full bottle.

MsLittlejohn

Very strong white floral, not red or pink roses. From open to dry down on me, one spray inner wrists. Smell very light pear about 15 minutes in, don't smell musk, definitely don't sense anything sweet, honeyed or 'nectar' in it. Smells almost exactly like L'Eau d'Issey Pure, which I tried a year or two ago and returned because the florals were just sooo STRONG. I've tested this every day for a week and I think I'll have to pass on it. Pity, because the bottle is beautiful and it's a well made perfume, just too heady on the floral side for me.

Jmalone84

This doesn’t have quite so much of classic L’eau d’Issey top notes and as such it feels warmer and possibly less irritating to those who don’t like the fragrance. This actually reminds me of L’Occitane Arlesienne except without the saffron and slightly vanilla tone. Seeing as that one is discontinued I will keep this in mind as a replacement because this fragrance gives the same vibe. It’s really soft and feminine and clean and easy to wear. I like this one.

gixxerbabe

Before I bought this perfume, I honestly thought I was completely over freshies and moved onto spicy and sweet orientals as I've matured. But this has single-handedly made me interested in aquatics and fruity florals all over again. When I smell this, I vividly imagine ice cold pure river water, with a side of honey drizzled pear, a bit of rose, and a pinch of salt. It is breathtaking and so refreshing. I literally crave this scent on scorching days, as it feels like I'm wading in a pristine mountain river. Now I want all the perfumes with water notes! Expanding my Issey Miyake collection vastly in the near future. PS: this is my husband's favorite! He always comments on how good I smell when I wear this.

Ella Murad

The first spray screams rose. And then it mellows out into a decadent, voluptuously fragrant melody on my skin and clothes. The sillage is amazing and it lasts forever on me. It stays on my leather jacket and handbag and the marriage between the material and the juice is sexy, mature and gorgeous. Fast becoming my signature. Think I might like this even more than DKNY For Women Original.

Such a hidden gem!
On my skin: starts with a pear honey rose mix, somehow liquidy...nectar is a perfect name for it.i really enjoy the honey note... it's not cloying at all. The pear and rose are also light but present.
the dry down salty-mineral... The start is very rich, elegant and feminine( pastel flowy dress, open hair), whereas the dry-down ozon salty...like a wet piece of salt ( the rock).sounds maybe weird, but to my nose is extremely beautiful.
I always considered issey miyake perfumes too minimalist for my taste...nice , but not my thing...but this one adds exactly what I desired.
I like now and then to mix it with Nuxe, let parfum for added summer vibes.

MayaBehati

Opens with a sweet, ripe, pear. Beginning is both juicy and powdery at the same time. I really can imagine a nectar drop, slowely sliding down a beautiful velvety petal.

Drydown smells like a multivitamin juice, not the cheapest brand... but still - not glorious.

AHeartLikeMine

Sneezy. Smells a lot like the original, but with a slight nectar note. If you're thinking of getting this because you want primarily nectar, skip it, especially if you have the original version since it smells so similar.

dessybg

Роза,мед .... Истинска красота. Много лек,нежен и ефирен аромат. Розата е мека,сладка и леко трапчива.

BoysnBerry

Very much agree with rola.asad and HeiLi.

I went fragrance shopping today.
I smelled this on the card first and thought it was pretty bland, so sprayed on my daughters arm instead.
Thought it was very pretty, but I could definitely smell white flowers on the opening which reminded me of L'eau Dissey.
I decided it wasn't different enough to warrant buying both.

THEN: We were out to lunch and doing other shopping and after a couple of hours, I couldn't stop smelling it! The rose, pear and honey was gentle but uplifting. Very sweet but not sickly.
LOVE.

Returned to the store and ended up buying it, but at the same time came across Gioia Sun and had a bit of trouble distinguishing which one was on which arm.

The bottle is so elegant and pretty. I feel I will wear this when I'm in an Issey mood but don't want the strong lily and lotus headache from L'eau Dissey.

meg0825

This is light and airy like the original L'Eau d'Issey but sweeter with pear and honeyed rose. It's fresh and aquatic and I love the salty ambergris in the dry down. Terrific scent. I love it!

AnitaHendricks

I love the crisp opening but I'm not fond of the musky, woody dry down. It's a clean, soft and feminine perfume. It's also quite subtile so you could wear this perfecty at the office.

masako_30

A womanly, more rounded reinterpretation of Pure edt if I had to make a comparison. Peony and honey play their part in differentiating it enough. I recognized the same ilk only once 'Pure Nectar' has reached the top of its evolution.
I surprised myself by smelling my forearm over and over again, where copiously sprayed.
The bottle is a drop of unique aesthetic refinement.
Worthy, considerable, deserving of my praise.

Polinka

Immediate like because it reminds me of Alien. Actually it's like a fresh, watered down version of Alien.

Astar

Never been a fan of Issey Miyake scents - they seemed too watery, too airy, too grassy. However this one is a whole different story: so rich, yet not overwhelming, so sophisticated, yet not overcomplicated. The warming accords of honey, musk, sandalwood and cashmeran are definitely present, I can barely distinguish citric and water notes, but it doesn't bother me whatsoever. Powdery, almost spicy in the dry-down, it's a match for both fall days and long summer nights.

yankihan.1

Just tested this at the Duty Free in Istanbul - what a lovely fruity yet rich fragrance. Just perfect for a sunny day. Is on my radar for the next purchase..

ms.ttran64

I could have sworn when I first smelled this that I was smelling jasmine tea! But it’s the honey-rose-pear. Interesting! It’s lovely but the honey can be too syrupy at times.

vanessakrubniki

I feel like from a distance it smells more airy, luminous, a little metallic even. When you get closer it's rose among green, watered leaves, very fresh and floral. If you touch your nose on skin you get the honeyed accents, the nectar inside the petals. So it's like a whole landscape! I wonder if others feel the same

shinayu

I have both this and L'eau Issey Absolue and I have to say these two are definitely not that similar. I get why people think they are because of the honey element but other than that...because of the white floral in L'eau Issey Absolue, it makes Absolue more like the more elegant and sexier sister of Pure Nectar. I find Pure Nectar's dry down is leaning to more of a generic sweet floral perfume...which makes me kinda regret buying it...it's nice don't get me wrong! But yeah after owning so many perfumes I began to feel bored towards all my sweet florals.....it's definitely safe but it's boring...if that makes sense. Longevity is great! In hot weather like today in Sydney...it's lasted pretty well! I would pick the Absolue over this as that one's more interesting and still has the honey element I like!

EDIT: My original post was my first time wearing this perfume and yes even after I wore it again today for the second time I still do think the dry down is boring but...it is a very pleasant comforting sweet rose scent. I think I do like it and I will keep it because it actually makes me feel delighted and happy wearing it. The longevity is still very good today on a hot day in Sydney. I think it is definitely worth checking out or buy if you can find it at a decent price! :)

Kbt71

A new favourite purchase.
Its very feminine. Has quite a strong opening but opens out into a fragrance.... you know its a relative of the Issey Miyake family it just has those underscents. But it becomes a beautiful morph of pear, floral honey.

Silage is excellent 4 plus hours can smell it on me. I cam smell it on scarves and coats days after! Ps i havent got a clue what my seatbelt smells of but hubby says it smells of me!

As a guide for age group. I am late 40’s and work in an office and my daughter is 15 and in school. This is one of her favourites that she goes to for school and youth club. So the age appeal is wide!

On a family holiday we would take this in a decanter spray bottle and Dkny be delicious. It would suit us both and give us a different one each evening without overpowering each other and knocking hubby out lolol!

ismellsogood

Are we all experiencing the same perfume here??? bizarre!
This is such a beautiful bottle, first of all, I wish I could have the biggest size.
The scent is terrific! It's really sexy and sweet like the dahlia nectar sweet. it is very long lasting and pretty it has a dewy, fresh, sweetened trail I absolutely admire and enjoy wearing this... I cannot understand why there aren't white florals listed because that is what I detect! it must be the pear and honey and the sweetest of rose essence? deliciously nectar sweetened florals with swirls of sexy fresh watered succulent flowers and petals!

dglightblue

two sprays elbow, summer, humid

this has issey dna, its dewey woods, aqua, flroals (not heavy on thise). very similar to Issey l'eau d'issey Pure, but pure is cooler and a bit bitter. i was wondering if i could layer pure which i have with something as i dont have le nectar.

ones a bit cool, other a bit warm (not just warm, not sweet or rich not warm like that)

rola.asad

The opening very fresh and sharp, I could smell white florals even they are not listed!

the dry down is all about fresh roses and pear, sweeter than its sisters, I don't get the honey note clearly, but I just feel that its the note that makes the perfume so sweet.

It's not offensive at all, feminine, somehow I can say it's a romantic scent, sillage and longevity: good.

Martaynd

Combo Tip: Dec. 2018
Azahar by Adolfo Dominguez at neck and solar plexus and L’eau de Issey Miyake Pure Nectar on arms. Bright, fresh for winter. Issey Pure helps to anchor the orange blossoms into a winter style. Nice.

LizzieDee

Briny honey or honeyed brine - awful either way.

FairyDuff

Smells like the original with the addition of a pleasant honey opening.

Suzi

I purchased this in 50ml first so I could try it and I found that the more I wore it the more I liked it. I like anything that has pear and rose in it I found this to be quite lovely it is quite strong at first and then when it settles smells so nice and has a lovely dry down and it lasts all day. I already love Issey Miyake perfumes from the pleats please range so I was delighted to find another one of his I love. The other one of his I love is Florale in the same bottle as his signature fragrance the silver bottle with the ball on the top but the pink bottle gorgeous. All and all this one gets a 10/10 from me.

DarlingNikki

Boy, this is a strange one, LOL! First spray on a card was screechy fresh (I definitely knew it had peony, but assumed it was a top note because it's so prominent to my nose) and then there was a scent that reminded me of Jean Paul Gaultier's Scandal that I see now is honey. I kept sniffing at the card and not quite being sure I liked or disliked what I was smelling (similar to my reaction to Scandal) so I decided to try it on skin. Initially, it wasn't too bad, turning quite sweet and loud, but then I swore there was a huge, heady and horrifying hit of skanky, indolic jasmine as it reached the mid-notes and I was hurrying to scrub it off ASAP. I didn't make it home as quickly as I wanted, so when I did arrive, I gave my arm another sniff just out of curiosity (the scent had died down in the interim, thankfully) and...it's not half bad. This one is really leaving me mystified! It starts off not too bad (sweet and rather loud), but it quickly morphs into a weird mix of screechy fresh peony mixing with the honey and coming off as smelling skanky, poopy and pissy all at the same time, LOL! I definitely need to get a sample of this and live with it for a bit before committing to a larger bottle.

kasia.k88

first opening was fresh, nice, original, honey dewdrop on the rose, but after few minutes it stared to remind all these sweet, too sweet perfumes for teenagers

Steleale

Very strange skin kemistry: sprayed at 930 pm, 4 hours later is the dupe for CK Be.

mutintabailey

Beautiful woody, musky projecting beautiful invigorating smell.
It is heavy in smell in potency and oozes class, not only is this a beautiful scent lasts forever!! Talking hours!!
Beautiful bottle but worth the pennies!!

Absolutely in love with this beauty!

YYY_Delilah

Wore this recently, and didn't get round to writing about it. Very impressed I was! Very heavy on the muskiness - more so than I expected at the very first. It's airy also - it's basically a musk+fresh-breeze combo first & foremost. I agree that whether the rest of it is woody or floral or what is difficult to settle, but that doesn't bother me. Some people seem to find it strange. I wouldn't say 'strange', but rather 'inscrutable' ... or at least it's a kind of strangeness that is pleasing.

But what impressed me most about this is that in the evening I was walking round wearing this without a jacket to contain it, and I was constantly getting whiffs from it as I was walking along. And by this time the application was quite a while previous, and I didn't apply an inordinately large amount in the first place.

MoniSK

I couldnt stand this sharp scent at all, had to scrub this quick of wrist after 15 minutes. If you like roses you may like it, its basically all what i smell with citrus. No sweet scent for me in it.

minizelda

When I smelled this, I immediatly thought of Alien by Mugler, but fainter.

ScarlettX

I liked many other versions way better than this one.
It has that annoying kind of freshness going on.
It's watery and a strong floral at the same time.
Also sweet.
Not something I would want to wear.

cumulnimbus

Not for me. I dislike this one, deeply. Strange mixture of pear, sweet honeyed rose and salty aquatic and metallic woods. The sillage is very loud at first.

tommy_girl

This perfume smells as strange as the bottle. It starts with a heavenly blast of peach; very fresh and sweet, just like the name suggests. I'm surprised that neither peach nor nectarine are listed as notes here. The perfume quickly shifts to something that I call pure jasmine. It's a kind of carnal, nasty jasmine that I always dislike in perfumes and I understand people who have voted for its similarity with alien versions. I definitely sense alien DNA.
The dry down is again something totally different. It's a very sweet honey scent with amber in the background and even though it's definitely sweet, it has something deeper than your usual gourmand candy perfume. Most issey miyake perfumes have an aquatic scent. Acquatic notes are not touchable here, but are vaguely there in the background and give it a mysterious, yet bewildered nature.
My total impression of this perfume is not that positive. I love the first notes, but it separates its way from being a youthful fruity nectarine in so many ways and I should alert that it's a kind of perfume that can give you headaches. So the perfume can be as nasty as the bottle.

dinka.begić

i loved it, but to me it smelled like a bouquet of white flowers. i felt nothing sweet rosey or honey in it. it's sharp powdery and quite serious

Soofiya

Recently tested it in a perfume shop and really wanted to like it as I love it's bottle's color.while testing,I didn't know it's nose but I could say with a quick sniff that there's pear and rose in it.these two are my favorite notes but something in it wasn't in harmony with others. It was on the fresh side but also sweet,at least sweeter than it's l'eau d'issey sisters.it became more woody as it dried down and even less appealing to me.sillage seems to be soft as I could only smell it when I sniffed my skin closely
After checking it's notes there was no wonder that I didn't like it as aquatic or woody scents were never my thing(though I didn't find this one much aquatic).the only ones I like in this whole family is issey miyake floral and absolue

Arlene-Beatrix

Honey and salty, really odd. It's even hard to tell what is the character of this scent - sweet or marine.

dglightblue

I have Pure edp and this is a warm version of it.
Accords look right, woody, warm, aquatic, other.
Lasts well

raiza1990

This is how you make an aquatic floral. It is sweet, clean, classy, mature and full bodied. The notes are beautifully blended. I do not like rose or cashmeran, but they don't irritate me at all in this fragrance.
I think it is a great fragrance for office wear.
Feminine and soft, i really recommend it.

jenn.ca

First Issey Miyake I have liked, and would consider buying. Perhaps because there is a faintly sweet, barely there gourmand floating in the backdrop? I am not fond of purely aquatic scents, or clean, green florals, but this I feel would be perfect for somebody who appreciates the Miyake fragrance prototype whilst also having a keen nose for sweets in their collection.

genny17

Quite a nice perfume, but I didn't love it enough to buy it..it is overall really floral, and kind of a fresh floral in the base, the rose is quite noticeable too, in a nice way.. and it gets a bit powdery too..elegant no doubt..I don't detect any honey in it..it is a bit similar to the Issey Pure, Nectar doesn't add to the line really..it is pretty, feminine, and if you like floral perfumes, worth checking into.

HeiLi

This smells like the lovechild of Armani Gioia Sun and Issey Mikaye Eau Pure/Eau de Toilette.

I liked - not loved - it after first spraying it on, but the longer it's on my skin, the heavier it gets.

I think I will stick with the original Miyake Eau Pure/EdT (the one in the matte frosted white bottle).
