Oh. My. God. I'm so upset that this is discontinued, but I'm happy I bought a 3.4oz bottle of this!!
Imagine if Bonbon by Viktor & Rolf found its sense of identity, and times that by a million. It's smoky, woody, incensey, a little sweet, and a little soft. Glistening Amber is the answer to all my fragrance wishes.
It's that girl you see walking down the street dressed in all black with a scowl on her face, smoking a cigarette, wearing dark glasses. When you approach her though, she's extremely warm and kind, and you can see she's really a soft person, but she puts on a front. That's Glistening Amber.
I love Juicy Couture fragrances for their simplicity and their sweetness, but this one isn't your typical Juicy scent. She's grown up, she's got her shit together. I wouldn't believe this was a JC scent unless I bought it myself. I'm wearing it for the first time today and I have a tendency to edit my reviews a lot, so we'll see what changes! So far, it's a major win for me.

Edit: It started fading, but I've gotten a solid performance from it for almost 6 hours. It's still noticeable, but it's intimate. The scent has gotten softer and sweeter as time has gone on. I'm shocked, because all other JC frags I've had are COMPLETELY gone after 3ish hours at most.

I don't understand. It smells so terrible to me. It was the first time in my life that I had to try washing perfume off my wrist, as I couldn't fall asleep. There are some fragrances that other reviewers describe as cloying or even toxically sweet, while I enjoy them and don't find them too sweet at all. But with this fragrance, on the contrary, there are mostly positive reviews here, but I can't, unfortunately, stand it. Yet many notes are among my usual favourites, especially the Incense, which is supposed to be prominent here. Some reviewers mention oud - and I like oud - but I don't get any. Some talk about a sour note, and I usually like tart notes, but I don't get any of it here. Strangely synthetic juicy sweetness all the way.

CeeTee

Bought a travel size due to the reviews. It’s bright red fruit, vanilla and incense. Fruity isn’t my favorite profile, but I do like this a lot! The base of this reminds me of the base notes in the fruity Tiziana Terenzi creations. I see myself wearing this in the sunnier months. It’s a really fun wear. I’d describe the projection as lower side of moderate, and very long lasting.

Edit: While this is nice for a Juicy Couture, it’s giving me inelegant vibes. It’s a no for me, after all, but to each their own. We’re all unique in our perceptions.

Rozalina

Revlon Ciara’s more buttoned-up millennial daughter. For the record, I don’t like either.

birbgirl

I’m disappointed. I thought I would love this but it’s incredibly powdery. I don’t mind moderately powdery but it’s all I can smell and I don’t like it.

funeralparty

I bought this for my sister who was looking for ambery perfumes and ended up wanting to keep it for myself. I’ve been loving amber lately as well, and along with the incense and cashmere it makes me feel sexy and cozy at the same time. This also lasted really long on my skin and projected well without being cloying. I might have to buy another travel size for myself.

Katelynl88

At first it smells slightly sweet like soda, then it just smells like a light leather , smells like a new purse and a cheap amber scented wax melt . It’s also very very weak . I’m definitely disappointed

lavieparfum_44928

Just gorgeous. Fit for an outstandingly beautiful woman, I imagine this is the vibe that those muses in vintage movies would want to radiate. Wild hair, perfect skin, powerful but not in an intimidating way, but because everyone envies her. The perfect amount of sweetness to balance out the woodiness, this is a hidden gem and a good bang for your buck amongst all of Juicy Coutures juvenile teeny bopper scents. Modern but not too modern.

Nanners88

This fragrance is stunning! It is warm sweet amber wood/oud vanilla done properly. I am very happy that I have this in my collection. I definitely do suggest giving it a try. Majestic Woods is also beautiful. Both are unisex but I would say that Glistening Amber is sweeter and leans more Fem. And Majestic Woods is more Masculine but in a great way.

itsamarshmallowworld

This fragrance is truly delightful. Sweet, spicy nuanced raspberry incense, with golden amber, and an orris root base. On my skin it offers strong projection that phases out to be more moderate in the dry down. Not overpowering or headache inducing. It lasts for ~8+ hours.

AlaskanAngel

This is the only Juicy Couture scent I've ever liked. It is so unlike any of the others, a darker scent story. This has depth and more substance than just sticky sweet syrup! If you don't enjoy the rest of the line, you might want to try this one.

b.a.denney

I think this is gorgeous. It doesn't list oud, but it gives that impression. I would never guess this was a Juicy Couture fragrance if I smelled it on someone else. It's rich, nuanced and rich smelling. I get amber, vanilla and smoky wood notes. I'm anxious to try the Majestic Woods next. I only have the travel size, but would love to find a full bottle. I'm betting this would be great layered as well, if that is your thing.

crystalistheone

I bought this fragrance in the summer and tried it twice, I thought it was just OK. I picked it up here again in the winter months and it’s a totally different experience, I smell incense wood Amber and a tad bit of vanilla and it’s beautiful, I have over 400 fragrances and I have worn this thing four days in a row.

This is actually pretty good, like surprisingly good for a Juicy Couture perfume. Unfortunately, I just don't wear it enough - there are a lot of perfumes in my collection and I always end up reaching for something else.

If anyone wants a full bottle, I'm willing to sell or trade. Canada only please (only because shipping is expensive).

Turquoise11

Lalapop has typed my thoughts on this enchanting elixir. I almost sold my bottle. That would have been a mistake. At first sniff the orris is highly reminiscent of agarwood, however; once the fragrance begins to dry and allows the Orris to reveal its raspberry like essence which intermingles beautifully with the sensual sweetness of the vanilla this fragrance really begins to shine. This is actually an impressive offering from JC considering their target market.’

AnnaElderberry

Spiced rum mixed with Vanilla Coke, very boozy and sweet on my skin, in a good way.

Perfumedsecrets

So delicious. So good. Not too sweet. You have to smell this without knowing the brand. It’s nothing like the others. Amber incense boozy goodness. There’s something about it I really love. I think this is a gem for JC. I also own Majestic Woods, but this is my favorite.

LaLaPop75

Ok, at first I was like WTH....it smelled like an oud bomb. I'm like, how could they have put oud so potent in this but not mention in the notes?? So I told myself to have a little patience and let it simmer down so I could pick up on the notes better. And I did. It's not oud I'm smelling, it's the orris, which is the core of the scent. Orris is a violet-ish, earthy root, suede like smell with raspberry nuances. VERY strong orris. The incense, vanilla, and musk are most potent. When all wrapped up around the core of orris, it comes off exactly like oud, but it is not oud. As I would not have called this an Amber scent at all, and it doesnt glisten, it's too heavy too glisten. Do not buy if your expecting a full on amber scent, it's not that. It should have been called Smokey Orris. For what it is, after drydown, is a very rich, smooth, dry, sweet scent. Whew..that was a challenge 😑. Actually, now that it's dried all the way down, this smells just like Salvatore Ferragamo White Mimosa..

flawl3ssnbrown

So this reminds of black opium meets replicas by the fireplace. Leaning more towards by the fireplace
If I layered BO ontop of BTFP then I would get Glistening Amber. Someone compared it to Jazz Club which I do not own, but I'm curious to smell Jazz Club now to see. This is very smokey to the point that when I run out of mu by the fireplace, this is a good alternative. This is not a love but a very strong like. I love the sweetness and the smoke. It may turn into a lover once its cold enough to really see how it transforms.
My skin drinks perfume as some might say, so I struggle with longevity and projection, but this perfume is beast mode even on me.

Ladyceramic

Personally I feel the entire regal collection caters to the middle eastern audience. The rich, woody, incense heavy juices seem to suggest so. If you have had exposure to middle eastern fragrances and have like them these would work well for you.
This one in particular has a lovely sweet oud-y vibe. The incense is less stronger in this than in Majestic woods and Royal Rose. I could see myself wearing this in the nights and on colder days…..
I have never had a JC frag before this is my first from JC coz I personally prefer deeper, more longer lasting scents….
The performance on this is amazing! I could smell it the next day on my clothes,
Sillage is present but it isn’t monstrous…
Beautiful fragrance overall!

moonpearls

Addictive warm, smoky amber, delicately sweet- the incense is potent to me at first and gives a subtle arabesque/oudy quality to me rather than an old lady 'powdery' scent, so this is great, and fades down to reveal the delicate and sweet frangipani and vanilla notes more. The raspberry is very subtle at the beginning but fades quickly. After several hours the incense settles down and the iris / amber / vanilla soften it.

Although this very much has its own character as an ambery scent, it would layer well with sharp fruity fragrances as it has a warm, earthy and resinous scent profile. I love it. Stereotypically it would be perfect for autumn and maybe winter, but I think it is a mysterious scent for the summertime too, adding a sophisticated bohemian touch to a daytime outfit. Especially if you layered sharp berry/fruity perfume with it too.

Gender: I would call it unisex, although it is more feminine to me than masculine. If men are a fan of the smoky sweet scents they may enjoy this too.

Avian

I am impressed! This is almost nothing like its Juicy Couture sisters, except for a swirl of caramel snuggled underneath the other notes. The vanilla here is thick and boozy, and the amber really is the star of the show. It's not a true amber like Ambra Aurea or Amber Paste, but it retains the warm golden glow of resins, like L'Air du Desert Marocain (another not-quite-amber perfume). It also truly does smell more niche than mainstream. This is a very thoughtfully constructed amber accord. There is a soft brush of incense smoke that contrasts nicely with the amber-vanilla duet and gives the Glistening part of this fragrance some bite. I don't smell the other notes individually, but I would not be surprised if they contribute to the depth of the amber accord.

I need to talk about the bottle. The cap is the same slightly tacky plastic gem that JC likes to use, but the bottle itself is a gorgeous reflective copper underneath a very thick amber tinted glass shell. The inner core sometimes looks like liquid metal! It is absolutely massive, eye-catching, and commands attention. This one is the prettiest of JC's oriental line.

Overall, I had low-ish expectations for Glistening Amber but they were exceeded, and then some! The first spray had me regretting my purchase, but the second spray conviced me otherwise. It is totally unisex and I agree that it would make a lovely layering perfume, although it certainly stands on its own.

Siani320

This scent is so sensual and very unisex! I initially found opening to be very incense heavy and didn’t get much else except smoke when I first tried it. However in the mid and dry down you’ll find that this is quintessentially amber.

I personally think this works well as a layering scent, I use it with scents like black opium and the only one by d&g as it adds more depth to them. I’d recommend that you experiment layering this with fragrances that are marketed as being dark and sensual but are missing that “oomph” that most people would expect from a dark and heavy date night fragrance. This fragrance is simply divine.

R3FUSED

My wife just acquired this fragrance. It's definitely a unisex fragrance. It smells great. As soon as I smelled it. I knew what it is. It is more synthetic version of Herod by Parfums De Marley.

IllyValley

You really just have to spray this one on your skin and wait about 10 minutes before you decide because it drastically changes. I received a decant as part of a subscription service today. On first sniff of the bottle, I hated it as did my roommate. It reminded us both of the scent of the mall when too many people have been using too many fragrances in an enclosed space in too short a time. We dubbed it "the mall smell."

My roommate sprayed a bit on her hand to see if it would be different on skin and was not a fan. She washed it off almost immediately. This wasn't terribly surprising as she normally prefers sweet and light, fruity or floral scents on herself.

Later I sprayed some on my forearm to test it out on my own skin. At first there was that awful mall smell again, but after about 10 minutes, that dissolved and I got this heavy, smoky, thick incense and a little powder(not enough to be a overwhelming). It honestly reminded me of an empty church with lit prayer candles and incense and brought to mind visions of the Madonna - Like A Prayer music video. It's about 3-4 hours later now and I'm getting mostly a mixture of the amber, a little musk, and incense still lingering. It's nice. If it wasn't for the opening, I'd really love it, but those first few minutes were ROUGH. This will probably never be a go to for me because of that. I can still definitely see myself using it in the future, but only for a night on the town when I'm feeling particularly wicked. Aside from the opening, this is definitely a fragrance designed for getting up to no good.

Eaatwood

Blind bought this and just received it today and I’m very satisfied. I took a chance considering this is marketed for women and it’s a Juicy couture fragrance 🤦🏾♂️. I’m glad I did, because this is 100% the epitome of unisex. To my nose this is Initio Side Effect mixed with Tom Ford Noir Extreme with an Oud note. A very toned down Oud note( most likely the incense), but very noticeable. Oud isn’t a listed note, but there has to be Oud in here and it’s the best use of Oud or agar wood I’ve smelt thus far in a designer fragrance.I absolutely loathe Oud in fragrances, but this is perfectly blended and smells very niche. I think I’m going to buy a back up bottle and decant them into another bottle 🤣

Carlysfx1

This fragrance is NOT for everyone, let’s start there. It smells like what I would think a sexy vampire would smell like, and I adore it. Incense, bourbon and Amber kissed with raspberry. It is intense and thrives in autumn and, strangely, summer. You’d think it would be too heavy for hot weather but the heat brings out the Amber and incense and really intensifies it. It’s bold, it’s beautiful and it is made for a woman with a big personality. It lasts a while, but becomes a skin scent around hour 5 on me. The sillage is also noticeable but not such that you’re walking in a thick cloud.

xodvm

Oh Juicy Couture I just don't see what everyone else sees in your fragrances... I wanted to love this scent SO much. Amber is my absolute fave note, yet this fragrance just doesn't do it justice. The notes listed seemed so luxe and delicious. I was waiting anxiously for the bottle to arrive in the mail. I took a risk buying as a blind buy and I guess I paid for it in more ways than one. There's something piercingly sour that I just can't get over. I'm going to give it a few more goes but it may have to be passed on to a friend.

Additional Review/ Correction The line for Glistening Amber is 'Regency' Correction on Projection: Just SPRAY IT!!!
The projection is made much greater by more spritzes of scent. I did three sprays just on my flat of the arms, and my wife came in the front door and smelled it just as she passed by me!!! New Info: Glistening Amber projects nicely and can be smelled at one foot from arm over one hour later. Just spray it. Just Hit It. It is very well priced. Just buy more, and more, and more. So nice.
Hope This is not a no-no to mention other peoples comments. Anyway, here goes:
Curly Fragrances star recommends the following. One each side of neck, one at base of skull, two across chest, one each side of long hair, and I think one each wrist. Michella of Curly Fragrances (You Tube) often requests 12-16 sprays which seems like alot. However, I think the host is dealing with re-formulation of many scents into weaker. She is smart. I believe this is where we are heading.

Juicy Couture Major Refresh with the Regent Line--'Glistening Amber'. The Regent Line (Regency? Not Sure) is an aggressive effort to get major Niche quality back. This is a ground up change. If you left Juicy Couture and had a scent memory from the brand, please erase and come back!!! Glistening Amber: Top Notes: Raspberry Frangiopani Middle Notes: Incense, Vanilla, Orris Base Notes: Amber, Cashmeran, Musk.
The experience reminds me of Agua di Colonia Patchouli for some reason. My skin is so absorbent, the dry down of the Raspberry and Frangiopani is a fleeting delight. The middle notes of incense and vanilla linger and the orris does add a powdery aspect but not overdone. Powdery can be chokey for me, and this is a wonderful blend--a really neat powdery. (Powdery is so hard to get right--usually hyper baby powder mixed with a saccharin candy lollypop. )
On another front, the Base is just Astonishing!!! The amber, cashmeran, and musk create a kind of chocolatey, oud effect.
This is not really a feminine scent in the strictest sense. The bottle is more feminine than the scent.
OK--don't have your guy friends over to work on that Saab, and spy the ornate bottle. Unless they know you, of course.
This has some fullness to it. It has a really nice amber with some substance to it.
Again, my skin is so absorbent--it is weird. Two squirts on each arm with a great atomizer. This scent is now a skin scent in less than one hour. I probably need to spray more. Barely detectable with my nose just four inches from my arm. It is worth decanting and toting because the blend is superb. I like to wear different fragrances over the course of a day. I guess I like 'em to come--and then go. This is an elegant party guest that does not stay too long. So elegant

Other then the original Juicy Couture (I adore it!) I haven’t been very impressed by Viva La Juicy and the parade of flankers that followed it. This one however, I couldn’t resist! I also got a great deal on fragnet and since I am a sucker for incense and amber, I just couldn’t pass it up. I love the spray on this, a very fine controlled mist. The scent itself isn’t as raspberry forward as I expected what I got at first blast was a strong similarity to an Arabian roll on oil I tried ages ago. ( not nabeel Macho Man) it was one of the sweeter Al Rehab’s perhaps Golden Sand? Yes I think so, a very sweet smoky oud tinged amber. I definitely get a spot of oud in this even though it isn’t listed in the notes so if it isn’t actually oud it reads the same to me (strong plasticky woody note) it has It also has a bit of a similarity to Dirty English! A softer, more femme version. The silage is pretty strong at first but softens after a bit and becomes more skin close. At this point I’m finally getting more raspberry. Altogether very impressed with this one, I think it is perfectly unisex: for women that like a slightly masculine edge or for men that like a sweeter amber. Keeping my fingers crossed for good longevity.

Badbadkitti

I had been Eyeing this for a long time! I finally got a good deal on fragrancenet and decided to make the purchase and I’m glad I did! It smells like sweet raspberry amber incense. It’s nothing like I own but glad that I have in my collection. Smelling the bottle vs on the skin are night and day, and the raspberry and amber intensify the longer you wear the scent but softly. Every time I get a wiff of it and get happy I added it to my collection all over again.

PerfumeLove22

I definitely don't love this, but it is a strong like! I agree with the review below that said they get an incense-y amber at first. It smells smokey and dark until it settles. It turns into a somewhat sweeter amber scent, but not a childish sweet. The longer it sits on the skin, the sweeter it smells. I personally like it more after it has been on for a few hours. It's pretty, and good for fall/winter/cooler weather. I think this would be uncomfortable to wear in the summer. I also want to add the lasting power is strong! I sprayed this on my skin and clothes after a shower in the afternoon, and the next morning I could still smell it on myself!

smellsbells

this sounds more masculine?

BananaonSpeed

When I think of an amber dominant fragrance, I tend to think of warm & cosy but this somehow has a coldness to it, which I think comes from the powerful smoke and incense. It's very autumnal, reminiscent of a cool autumn evening around a bonfire. Maybe Haloween with all the candy apples too.

It has an undercurrent of sweetness, which I thought was caramel, even though it isn't listed. It's that JC DNA but dampened down so much that it's not always easy to detect. This is a fragrance that I can se a lot of JC's usual fans disliking, while potentially bringing a new audience instead.

I also own Amouage Interlude for men and Raghba wood intense. It's not the same as either of those but it's similar enough that I'm regretting buying this. Amouage is more refined and doesn't have the same sweetness, which in all honesty can become too much with the incense, potentially creating a sickly combination. The Raghba is a sweeter and more wood dominant but they're good alternatives to check out.

For the commenter under me, this is barely powdery. Nothing like L'Instant at all. To me that comes across like a soft cosy blanket, indoors on a cold day, while this is outdoors facing the weather head on.

Ebowshier0613

I'm wondering, is this as crazy powdery as L'instant? That is almost too powdery for me. I don't like the original Juicy Couture perfumes but got Majestic Woods and LOVE it, so I'm curious if I'll love this as much?

Vanillastorm40

Nope! Don't blind buy!

bovogie

I like it a lot. It's a surprisingly different type of fragrance from what Juicy Couture is known for & it's done well. It's more unisex but leans towards the feminine side. I wear this alone or I layer it with one of two other perfumes depending on what I'm in the mood for. I will layer it with Intimate Silhouette by Christian Siriano to get a By the Fireplace concoction or I will layer it with Mejestic Woods to achieve a Jazz Club scent. Alone the scent has a sticky sweet, soft & powdery feel with a hint of smokiness to it.

JSpines

Throw away everything you know about Juicy Couture fragrances and then you can imagine what this particular line smells like because they certainly have none of that typical Juicy Couture DNA. If you usually love Juicy Couture fragrances, there is a very good chance that you won't like this particular line.

Personally, I prefer it over their usual fare which I find sub-par. The fragrances in this line smell elevated, higher quality, more complex, bordering on niche.

I am a big fan of their Majestic Woods fragrance and even though I don't like this one quite as much, I still like it and it's still very good.

On me, the star of the show here is the raspberry. It's not a light, sparkling, effervescent raspberry. It's a deep, dark, syrupy, gothic, brooding raspberry partnered with an equal amount of smoky incense. One does not outshine the other, they work in perfect unison, I get matching doses of each. It's linear, it goes on as raspberry and incense and stays that way throughout. The lasting power is wonderful. It lasts all day and night on my skin and when I wake up in the morning, I can still smell it faintly.

I am really impressed with Juicy Couture for creating this line!

Elsee

This stuff rocks. Plain and simple.
You MUST love an incense vibe.
You MUST love a long lasting experience.
You MUST love trying new things.

This beauty is so different from all the other JC scents.
It takes your senses to a whole new dimension.

I got this huge bottle on sale at Macy's of all places, and just love it. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous and the scent is extraordinary. Read the notes in the scent above though....just in case!

This scent is special.

Happy sniffing everyone!

flowers-in-the-springtime

I agree with most of what Shushkin has said about this scent. I find the top notes incredibly sweet and syrupy, but I do agree that there is a strong burned raspberry note which I find agreeable and unusual. I definitely don't smell toast, but the dry down has shades of oud and a lovely powdery amber.
This perfume is a cozy, winters day. Perfect for Christmas with its oriental spiciness and warm, sweet tones. This plays beautifully with my body chemistry and seems to waft around all day. My husband keeps on commenting that he's getting whiffs of the perfume and that he really likes it! Thats amazing as he NEVER comments on any of my perfumes. I find the longevity is brilliant! This fume clung to my skin like a limpid and it stayed on my clothes as well, emanating a delicious aroma of sweet perfection! Definitely full bottle worthy.

shushkin

A nice shape shifting amber on the opening. Quite a smoky amber fruit scent. It could easily have been too sweet for me but I'm pleasantly surprised. It could almost be a niche fragrance.
There is a dry powdery aspect to this. I could almost imagine there to be oud present. I'm going to make a guess that it's the effect of the cashmeran wood. I have known it do this in other scents.
I'm a bit perplexed by the faint smell of burnt rubber and burnt toast. Yes, weird. Who knows what my chemistry is doing with this.
The scent is at its best after an hour when it reminds me of a very faint version of Masque perfumes Russian tea which is a big love of mine. Smoke and raspberries.
It has average longevity and not much sillage. Thankfully!
Well, I'm glad I had the opportunity to try it. Thanks Amanda

amanda-m-lewis

I got this in the post today after reading a glowing review in a Facebook group and a reccommendation by Thushara. (See his comment below) and I'm so glad I did.

This fragrance is beautiful but before I go any further. I had to check out if there really is such a thing as a black raspberry and there is!

A quick Google search revealed that "Black raspberries, also known as black caps or thimbleberries, are a species of raspberry and both types have a similar flavor, although some people find black raspberries sweeter".

I tend to agree to this as there is a lovely sweetness to this scent that isnt cloying or overpowering but is so well blended and I suspect that as well as the vanilla. It is the black raspberry that gives it some sweetness as well.

Overall, the Glistening Amber has been a huge hit for me and I don't find it mega sweet as I was previously warned about. And I would describe it as a: rich, golden, ambery, incense, that's not overly sweet or massive in projection. Or at least it wasnt on me.

It kind of just lingers around you; on your clothing, which I love, as it only lasts about 3 hours on my skin.

But all in all, I get the boozy orris, vanilla and incense notes; plus the base notes of amber, cashmeran and musk; and its a nice musk! which even I can tolerate.

I dont really get the frangipani or the raspberry individually; as this is so darn smooth.

So I would say that it is a largely, warm, fragrant, blanket scent. Which is very classy and a definite crowd pleaser, albeit underrated for sure 💓

Perfumelover1997

Im in love, smokey amber heaven!!!

lvcougar702

Got a sample of this today and it's a strong "like" leaning towards "love". Think: cashmere sweater getting cozy around the fireplace. This is definitely an autumn/winter scent. There's an incense/Smokey smell along with the musk but it's well done. It's a comforting, soft fragrance, very feminine. I know Juicy Couture is the red headed stepchild of the fragrance world, but I give them credit for this one. Sillage is moderate and this fragrance lasts a lot longer than their other sweet/white floral scents. Is this comparable to the fragrances from Guerlain? No way but who cares? It still smells good. I rate this fragrance a strong 8 out of 10. I will buy a full size this Fall:)

Heretic_Housewife

If you like Juicy Couture's Majestic Woods, you will probably also like Glistening Amber, and vice-versa.

This fragrance is nothing like any of the usual Juicy creations. It's the third offering in the Juicy Couture Regal line. So, if you're expecting maybe an ambery version of Viva or something similar, you will be sorely disappointed.

However, if you like Oriental fragrances, amber, woods, musks, and incense-y notes, you will be pleasantly surprised.

There are some fruity floral top notes, but they only stay in the forefront right in the beginning. They fade fast and the middle and base notes take over.

For the majority of wear time, Glistening Amber is a sweet, woody, smokey amber-based Oriental fragrance. The only thing I don't like about it is the cashmeran note. It's a little bit too strong for my tastes, but I'm very sensitive to cashmeran. And, even so, it isn't a dealbreaker for me. There's something that comes across almost as a tobacco note to me, and I think it's a combination of the remnants of the fruity floral top notes combining with the vanilla and amber notes.

The bottle is very decorative, and understated for a Juicy Couture bottle. Heavy amber-orange mercury glass with a gold and black enamel metal label plaque and logo tag. The tag is attached to the cap with antique copper colored metallic cording. The box top lifts off to leave a display pedestal.

It wears well, sillage is moderate, longevity is as well, but still much better than the average Juicy Couture fragrance.

Could it be unisex? I think so. If you think Majestic Woods is unisex, you will agree that Glistening Amber is as well. It's no "sweeter" than Spicebomb, and the fruity floral top notes don't hang around into the drydown.

It's kind of hard to find though. I found my bottle on Ebay. Lots of testers and dead stock retail bottles are hitting the liquidation and discounter market now.

It has juicy top notes, but it turns out to be an incense scent later. Very smokey and oriental, not my style at all.
I can't imagine myself wearing such perfume, not my cup of tea.
It's nothing like other Juicy Couture's scents.

This perfume smells sparkly at the beginning, then develops to a smokey and sweet scent from the incense and vanilla, amber is noticeably present, and it smells good. I just kept on sniffing my wrist when I sprayed it. I tested in the UAE, and it retails for AED496 which is around US$135 and C$175. It smells like a high-quality Tom Ford perfume for one third the price.

gelkita

Heard today it is a fragrance exclusive to Selfridges...

So weird That I didn’t hear ppl talk about this.. it is so good smells more expensive not ur typical juicy C. Perfumes .. there is depth to it.. I would say more of the oriantal taste ..

It doesn't say when it was released, but I haven't seen it here in Ontario, Canada yet. I love anything with vanilla, cashmere, amber, and of course raspberries are my fave. Stoked to try this!!!

kishka

BLACK raspberry? Oooh the hype just gets more outlandish.
