A very basic white floral perfume with a pinch of sweetness. You can find 100 other perfumes with the same smell. I could not smell vanilla in here. Longevity and sillage are poor on my skin. This perfume is a skip for me.

This is a lighter, fresher version of the original JPG Classique, and it also reminds me of Twilly d'Hermes due to the strong ginger note. I can't handle Twilly and Classique, they both feel too mature and heavy on me, so this is perfect! It's so lovely - sweet, spicy, flirty yet sophisticated, and still unique in my opinion. It's a new love, and the bottle is 10/10!

White floral HEAVVYYYYY. If this is the lighter, fresher version of the original, I can't imagine how strong and loud that one is.

I don't have the original, but I have classique essence and that one is much sweeter and less floral than this one. This version is a heavy tropical flower that's not too sweet. It is beautiful but a bit too strong for me.

If you love tiare flower this fragrance is going to be a dream for you.

My holy grail white floral is love tuberous by amouage 🧡

It is the younger sister of classic, the original, a little sweeter but still same DNA and enormous longevity, no age limit here, if you like the original cant go wrong with this one, I’ve received one for Christmas this year and once I tried it on immediately bought another bottle, be quick if you want it, very little left around to buy.

I tried this and Pin Up at the same time in the store.
Pin Up is very pretty too, but this Wonder Woman Fraiche hooked me from the first sniff. I just had to take a bottle home with me.

This is Classique EDT but fresher! The opening of sorbet ginger sugar is just soo pretty, fresh and juicy like you can almost drink it. Not too sweet at all. They got it just right. What a nose and master perfumer Gaultier house is.

Then on me tiare is very pronounced in the mid notes carefully rounded with jasmine trails. But the sweet sorbet remains on the edge supporting the heady tiare so it's not heavy like in Lalique's Flora Bella. FB gave me a headache, but this Classique Fraiche is just giving me gushy giddiness. Hahaha it is just so pretty. I keep catching whiffs of the perfume as I wrote this review and I keep saying O My God...

It's a little bit powdery too as the tiare is mixing with musk base. But for now the tiare sorbet stood proudly.

If you adore Classique EDT like me, you'll love this Classique Eau Fraiche in Wonder Woman version too.

Additional note:
I find this eau fraiche beautiful and not in-your-face sexy like the original Classique EDT. Appropriate enough for the office, spray with caution as it's the usual quality of Gaultier Classique line: strong sillage and long lasting. I'm happily working in the cloud of this gorgeous perfume.
I'm working in the heat of Africa, so nowadays I find that this is better for when it rains, spring or fall. I wear Pin Up and OG Classique EDT in the heat.

Wait for couple minutes.. then you will smell the magic of wonder woman.
It smell like classique edt but with little bit of sugar...

This has to be one of my best blind-buys. I bought a 50 ml bottle when I found it in a big sale and thought it would be just a lighter version of JPG Classique, that I also own. It does smell very similar to JPG Classique, but it is not quite as soapy and it is more youthful, if that makes sense, probably because of the sorbet notes. Don't let the "eau fraiche" fool you, this perfume is quite intense and has amazing silage and staying power. And the bottle is absolutely gorgeous, one of the best that I own.

Blind buy. I said to myself :" it"'s JPG, what could go wrong?! "At the first spray is like opening a room full of mixed flowers. After a couple of minutes I get the same vibe as the one that is given by JPG Classique (which I love) but less sweeter. Although I can feel something synthetic at the beginning (may be my nose :))) it disappears after 15 min. I personally don't love it but is ok. Wearable. Ooooh....and the bottle is absolutely gorgeous. I would 've bought it anyway even if it was only for the bottle.

P. S. At some point I could smell parsley?!?!?!? Where did this come from????

mirena.1

It's a lovely, pleasant fragrance! Sweet but also fresh, light and stilish. It's the first Classique that I like.

Joani_Cheddar

Im not generally a fan of fraiche fragrances, I bought this fragrance because it was on clearance and i needed to add a cheap perfume for free shipping. HELLLOOOO what the.? YOU ARE AMAZING. Such an uplifiting heavy silage fragrance. Definitely has the JPG DNA - but lighter with a fresh ginger citrus note that elevates the goodness of this perfume. I want a bigger bottle! I wonder if all the JPG Fraiche limited editions smell the same? Anyone?

LB1997

I really loved this fragrance. I got so many compliments when wearing it. I don't like it that this fragrance is a limited editon because I really want to buy it again.

Pinja

First aquatic mimosa and other yellow and white flowers. Then clean white musk.

Whify

For an EDT this has impressive lasting quality and sillage. It wafts for a good 6 hours after I've sprayed it on my skin. It starts off as sweet orange blossom with a hint of ginger and develops into a sweet lemon sorbet with a hint of ginger. It gets sweeter as it develops. I would describe it as a sweet yet fresh citrus and ginger scent. It's quite yummy actually.

Dorange Sense

This is a freshened up, almost aquatic Alien. (Thanks to the pleasant sorbet note I guess).
A night out scent for summer evenings.

kati77

Starts nicely and changes into a creamy citrus sherbet. Vanillic and sweet, i did not detect ginger note. Not my type
of scent. I think its more for teenagers or really young people. I am still young but prefer something else.

cedar_lea

I found the origional Classique too soapy/powdery for my skin that doesn't do iris well, but it had enough nice parts that I wanted to explore its flankers. After reading the reviews I imagined this as a sweet citrus like Eros for her edt with orange blossom and thought about orange blossom lemonade at my favorite restaurant and had to try.

It wasn't quite as I'd envisioned, but it didn't disappoint! Lemon sorbet is a really good description of the citrus note. The kind that is made with lots of lemon zest and is sweet but tart at the same time. The orange blossom blends well but never overtakes the sorbet or gets lost. There is a powdery sweet "sugar cane" note that reminds me of the "white amber" that has been a popular note lately -- not a pure powdered sugar but a light hazy and a little powdery. The musk is also detectable, but it mainly adds interest and keeps it from being a clean citrus scent.

The longevity is great. In the drydown it gets warmth from the labdum and amber and a nice rich vanilly, but it still keeps the floral-citrus scent. It stays fresh! This is quickly becoming a favorite

fer_heinschalle

It smells like car's perfume or new shoe's sole. argh!

I own 3 fragrances from Jean Paul "this one, classique essence, and classique intense", and I used to have the original classique! But, this edition "which I guess now is not available anymore" is super syrupy, like none of her sisters are!!

This one is more fun, youthful, for a sunny day, I see it appeals more for girls in their early twenties, whether the others are more classy and romantic, and for more calm personalities IMO!

I don't get any spiciness here, but instead sugar and sorbet, which make this fragrance super syrupy "again"!!
I have to say the "syrupy" note is not my thing at all, neither the super sweet patchouli scent, but this perfume is really unique, I have nothing in my collection, smells like it, which is good, when I was in the store the man gave this to me and said I have just one bottle left, and as soon as I buy it, I won't be able to offer it again, so I immediately said it's mine!!
I don't regret buying it, but I would recommend you to try before purchasing it if you are not into sugar syrup scents.
btw it lasts for so long on my clothes!

Torrid Sugar Syrup

(That's how the official site baptizes it!)

Seems that for the Eau Fraiche flanker, the juice that was in the Betty Boop bottle, now resides in the Wonder Woman version. And the nose of course remains the same, having not betrayed the identinty of Classique, but given it a twist-as it claims at least- for summer.

The original Classique was misunderstood when first released, it gained though-honestly in my opinion-the fandom and still goes strong. You might hear from here and there that it's "only appropriate for +50" , but just don't listen, go for Classique, and for the Essense flanker and shall I say the Eau Fraiche too.

Now, the ones who might find Classique "heavy", Eau Fraiche is the alternative. Bear in mind already that it has a rather youthful opening, a really sweet mid-phase and a drydown of ambergris/labdanum.

There is a confusion of the notes too. Not that my nose can ever confirm who is wrong or right, still I have to mention what the official JPG site lists as notes for Eau Fraiche:
•lemon,
•ginger
•sugar cane.
Clearly it's not only these three. But at the same time I don't "see" quite a few notes Fragrantica lists.

Let's get to the actual scent. Straight away you get a citrus/neroli/orange blossom, there is a heady floral developing, along with some vanilla afterwards. The cologney vibe is very prominent; wrist crack. Crispy, aromatic, leaning on the sweet side but never becoming gourmand-sugary, despite the sugar-cane claim.

Lots of vanilla, though doesn't seem powdery as the original. Somewhere I smell pencil shavings too. It does get sweeter, thicker with the base of labdanum that it has, quite heady and perfumey. No more cologney scent like the beginning. One thing to know is that it remains close to the skin by now, so don't worry thay it will offend anyone. It projects better for the first two hours.

Without seeing the notes, initially I thought it was ambergris, at least recreated, because of the saltyness and the "skin-feeling", but labdanum tends to be as animalic too. Imagine Olympea Paco Rabanne but way more balanced, less salty and more floral.

Eau Fraiche flanker is Oriental Floral by definition, modernized sure. It will uplift and bring sunshine to the young and old and make them feel sexy and womanly. Complex and well-crafted.
For the party I gave myself three sprays on the neck and two on the wrists at 18:30. I washed my hands it was still there. The scented cloud left me only in the morning.

Give it a sniff the ones who haven't yet

This was my first ever JPG fragrance and it was (like much of my other purchases) a blind buy. I was originally attracted to it because of the funky bottle. The special limited edition Wonder Woman bottle I think came out just about the same time as the movie. Then, as I saw the notes for the perfume, I was instantly intrigued. I love a good spicy perfume and ginger is one of my favorite spicy notes of all time. Combined with the lemon, sugar and vanilla…I was pretty sure there was no way I was going to have anything BUT love for this fragrance.
Boy, was I right! Hahah. Had ya going there for a second. OMG, I love this so much. I got it on Friday and have worn it twice already (and I am the kind of woman who never wears the same fragrance two days in a row) since then. I love the overwhelming gingeriness of it. I love ginger so much, especially in cooler/colder weather. I enjoy drinking ginger tea and revel in its spiciness. I also got the “Le Male” perfume for myself because the notes in that one intrigued me as well. It’s also damn amazing. I will invest in a normal bottle of Le Classique in my next purchase. :D

Admitting that orange blossom is not one of my favourite notes, this perfume was able to trigger some love for me. I've never been a huge fan of Classique nor its infinite flankers and when I got a sample of Wonder Woman in August this year, I was a little bit hesitant about testing it. First, I find all of the Classique flankers very similar and so I thought where's going to be the difference in this one. But then I tried my sample always in summer and I was astonished by its longevity and sillage which are both huge. Applying perfumes directly on my skin is always a problem for me as they do not seem to last for more than 1 hour but this fragrance was different. It embodied all I ever wanted from a perfume to smell on me - strong, rich, creamy, a bit tart and a bit sweet, powdery with incredible long lasting power and sillage. It stayed on my skin for some good 8 hours before becoming a skin scent and just 2 spritzes were enough to make me smell the scent wherever I went. At the end it looked like orange blossom and tiare quite agreed with my skin and I really appreciated it.

gtabasso

This fragrance is strong but not headache-inducing like Classique. It has quick lemon in top with lots of vanilla, some orange blossom and musk. This is a vanillic fragrance without the fruit of Classique and is not an aquatic at all because it is too strong but has a little salty vibe to it. Some ambergris?

ScarlettX

The top notes are so spicy, ginger note is very dominant and nice. When it fades away, it starts to smell like the original Classique, but much lighter. I really liked the top notes, nice and spicy, but I'm not impressed with the base notes.
It's an alright scent. The bottle is quite interesting too.

aquarius_moon

This is the first Classique summer flanker that I’ve tried, so I don’t know how it compares to previous years—only that I probably won’t bother in the future. Everything that gives Classique (or Intense) their complexity and allure (including the sweetness) is turned down to near imperceptibility, while the white flowers are turned up to 11. The result is a great big honking floral, loud enough to clear not only a room but a medium-sized beach.

If that’s your kind of thing, I can’t argue, but if you’re just looking for a way to wear Classique in warm weather, perhaps try Intense and see how it works for you. I, for one, am very cautious about strong perfumes in summer, but Intense never bothers me, while this ‘fresh’ version literally made my eyes water.

Amandaa

The same fragrance as the Betty Boop version, i love it!

christina.1

When you have it available, let me know so I can purchase it.

megank4

So annoyed that this is half the size of previous years and yet still the same price. Hope it isn't a permanent downsize for the line.
