All Jimmy Choo fragrances are safe, fresh, and mass-appealing in a way. And nothing is wrong with that. It won’t drop your jaw to the floor but it smells good. Performance is average across all of them. Perfect for the casual person who just wants to smell good. Funny enough, the atomizers on the Choo fragrances are some of the best I’ve ever seen as well.

FarQ

Dark, sweet, mature, fresh, masculine, is what comes to mind when i smell this. Jimmy Choo Man Intense was one of my first pickups as i got into fragrance. This smells very nice to me and I have received plentiful compliments, great for the price. Although, the only downside is the performance, I get about 4-5 hours on this one. Quite unfortunate that the performance is lacking in this one, bringing it down, I would rate this a 7/10.

Gamblemaxxer

I like this scent a lot. It smells fresh, fruity, aromatic, with a nice kick of pepper. It’s also very versatile. That being said, it gives me killer headaches. I think it’s from whatever top notes smell really synthetic. Longevity is pretty meh, but for this price on discounters it’s solid.

Jefferson007

Dark, floral scent with below average projection that lasts a few hours, solid for price.

Personally one of my all time favorites, a sweet, mature, fresh and mass appealing fragrance. Great prices online for it and i love the pressurized atomizer. Doesn’t last very long tho 🙁

ari6464646464646464646464

good cheap option. great atomizer, sweet, heavy tonka bean, fruity, not the best longevity but definitely decent projection for me. smells more expensive than the price, but not performance wise. nice!

bonJOVIN

its not longest lasting (3-4 hours) and it has okay projection (1 foot). I can see why people like this scent. it's a dark, sweet, fruity, lavender type of scent, but personally this isn't something I would wear. I think the melon/lavender is kinda nauseating to me and it gives me a headache every time i get a whiff of it.

Joe baker

its a nice manly fragrance and the atomizer is absolutely amazing

Biglou88

Moneybag6 is spot on! This is an absolute banger all day long and still smells amazing to me. I love sauvage edt but I might just like this one even better it’s that good to me. Super manly vibe and an easy blind buy in my opinion

Moneybag6

I found a 6.7 200ml bottle of this for 56$. This is a banger tbh. It not a beast mode scent but on me it last about 6-7 hours and it projects for about 2 hours. The projection is super good and it leaves an amazing scent trail. I got two compliments the first day I wore this to my job. I don’t understand the hate for this fragrance at all. Call me crazy but I like this better than sauvage, and ysl. I also don’t understand how ppl can say this is “generic” when it’s actually smells different bc for this to be a blue fragrance they added melon which gives it a fresh and sweet smell rather than your typical generic blue with the shower gel smell. The same people calling this fragrance “generic” and “basic” are the same ones hyping up ysl and its flankers and Dior sauvage and its flankers?? Ysl came out with y edt, edp,le parfum, y edp intense, and myself, which all smell basic and generic, but ppl will go crazy for them but when it comes to jimmy choo intense it’s “generic”.

jusknow

Re-reviewing this… this stuff is meh through and through. There’s no reason to buy this. Weak and doesn’t project, plus the aromatics are barely there. Dylan Blue/Sauvage are far superior shower gel frags

enclander

Great gym cologne - cheap - smells great and for me performs well for just under 3 hours with about 6 sprays. Not violently or even very intense as the name may suggest, however.

MOREPOWER6949

An absolutely sweet and spicy beast of a smell and is the best smelling cologne I ever smelled. The only problem is that the projection/longevity is really not that good. But, if your gonna be going out for not that long, it is absolutely perfect as it is suitable for almost all occasions.

gibby20

Super underrated and great value. Won’t last too long but its a great easy reach in spring/summer. Despite poor performance, the scent is really easy to like and inoffensive. Great fragrance for the office in warmer weather.

adiyyzzz

Doesn't last at all on my skin. Brown skill issue i guess

jerryjg

Underrated fragrance, great value, sleek bottle
Agree that the scent is a blend of melon plus sauvage and bdc but less citrusy

Biglou88

Seriously this is one of my all time favourites! I genuinely love this one. This smells hypnotic to my nose whenever I get whiffs from my own sillage. This performs fantastic on my skin, which I can’t say for a lot of fragrances. Very happy I’ve got the 200ml. To me this is on a par with Dylan blue, better than coach and the other blue ones. I’d seriously ignore the bad reviews and buy with confidence

ElStash

Writing this from experience of the older batches, new batches might not be worth the purchase

Smells natural, welcoming, calm, relaxed, confidently fresh, lavender(in a polite way), one of those fragrances I like to wear to bed, because my partner enjoys it, definitely an everyday wear, but shines in the summer, it does lack sillage, but if it was stronger, would it still have those qualities that is universally inviting, bonded with another when I seek peace.

Side note: for the man that wants to make an impression, best performance on shirts, if your looking for it to project off the skin you won't find much going on personally, but I promise your partner will smell it upon close encounter, I find someone that finds an interest in you will pick this scent up, this is an introduction, made it to home base, I will be on your mind, sheets will mark your territory, then later come with other sophisticated fragrances, this is for starters

Atosukii

To me this smells like car freshener but not in a bad way you’ll smell good. You can use it as a gym cologne but I can see it be used as a date night. It’s like a mature sweet fragrance.

neel2409

smells just like dior sauvage but with a melon note

leochavi19

Smells good, smells similar but not very like jean paul gaultier le male parfume

flako2k

Jimmy Choo man intense opens up as a spicy fresh scent. It's calm and refreshing to the nose as it is a little fruity but still giving masculine vibes. The fresh spicy and aromatic is big on this fragrance. It can be used as an everyday scent, best during the fall, spring, summer, day and night. The only CON with this fragrance is that its longevity is horrible. It lasts up most to an hour and that is about it. The fragrance only performs well when it is first sprayed on, after an hour goes by the fragrance wears off almost immediately. I wish Jimmy Choo made it an eau de parfum or parfum version of Man intense because the smell is not bad at all, it is just the performance that it lacks.

Political analyst

The smell is very manly and elegant,
I would love to wear it everyday but the con is that this perfume is not very long lasting.
Great compliments though

Samurai23

I used to like the scent. After I discovered niche and generally more expensive and classy perfumes, this fragrance started feeling way too synthetic (as most cheap designer fragrances do). Now I rarely wear it. Unfortunate, but I like how my nose evolved :)

xkhxx

I got this for my birthday over a year ago and i have to say this is a very nice cologne. It gives a lot of masculinity and a very fancy smell to it. Its very good for like a date ,a wedding, a party, not so much for school. ill say I've gotten quite a few compliments from using it and will always be my favorite. With it on you smell like a man. Its very strong but not long lasting so ill recommend not a lot of sprays with it. It gives out very fancy and a very formal smell with it and i will strongly recommend.

DobriAndonov

The scent has a special place in my hearth being one of my first full bottles in my collection. I remember when I bought it. After just a couple of boutles on my shelf, I viseted a frag store for a first time and bought Code Profumo and Eros flame. Both I consider as a true pieces of art.

And on the check it happened I misscalculated the price of my frags and I had some spare cash. I just asked the cashier to recomend me something just to fulfill the limit and she answered “Why not this one?”.

And why not indeed? A good frag, rich but unoffensive and as it happened, my girlfriend liked it too. The truth is, it is not a sillage and longevity beast, but it is a good sweat-infusing scent and pops up when ‘reheated’. Still a good one, but will tecomend it for people with larger collection. It is probably not the best choice for starters.

frankcoelho

Smelled it and thought to myself: Melon Sauvage.
Great scent, though not powerful enough as other versatile options. This is a combination of Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct Extreme with a blue fragrance such as Dylan Blue or Sauvage even.
The atomizer is the whole point of this, since it's well pressurized and outputs a lot of juice. Great cheapie with excellent presentation/mechanics.
Blind buy this if you've got $30-40 from discounters.

subemx

Not bad at all. Blind-bought it and didn't like at first, but it grows on me, such an easy-going parfume for day and night, even in the summertime. Whenever I want to smell nice but not too much, I put this one on. Sweet and fresh at the same time, only problem is that it doesn't stay for too long, even 10 sprays get lost after 4-5 hours. But it doesn't cost too much, so no problem spraying again after a while.

finalewalker

This stuff smells like booty buttcheeks on my skin. Now I'm a guy in his early 20s so maybe it's just me, but this had me smelling like an old man. The type of old man that uses irish spring soap and old spice deodorant and put down the fragrances back in 2000; Good ol'... old man smell! I've only tried this once, of course ("No! Never Again!" with dramatic effect!).

Tested it to dry-down on a breezy summer day near the seaside and it lasted somewhere around an hour before I could barely smell it on my skin. Gave me a chuckle when I went in for the smell, but fading, so there wasn't a need to emergency teleport home or, the good ol' scrub and wash, if you would.

But who knows, maybe it's one of those scents with an acquired taste.
As for me, I'll just remember how this bad boy aged me up 40 winters.

lanujang

to my nose it's similar to dylan blue. mass pleasing blue scent. nice for any occasion.

ElNino-7-

I've tested this like a hundred times now. It's such an energising scent. Gotta buy a bottle soon.

410RudyRuuu

WEAR THIS IN THE HEAT FOR MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE, 80° OR HOTTER ESPECIALLY IF IT'S HUMID

Biglou88

I’ve worn this tons and changed my mind about it. Anyone who says this isn’t strong enough needs their nose checked cuz this performs fantastic on my skin and I get whiffs all day. I definitely think this is jimmy Choo’s attempt at Sauvage. If you can’t fork out the dollars for Dior then this is one I’d recommend in a heartbeat I think it’s that good for the low prices it can be found at.

Abracadravra

Open up like typical blue frag, fresh slight fruity dylan blue, bdc vibe then a little bit of invictus vibe come along with salty lavender, a bit of sweetness +patcholi dry down. Very generic inoffensive office friendly scent, moderate longevity. Pass.

tylrmrtn98

A decent all arounder, but if you have Born In Roma, Coach for Men,Jimmy Choo man, or anything similar to that dna, just use that up first. Getting this will be redundant. After you finish whatever you have up, then get this. Its slightly different, but not that much.

Depapi

This is one of my favorite scents. Only gripe is that the performance is just OK however if you spray within 2 hours you will have a nice sillage that isn’t overpowering. I think this is a better than D & G the one. It’s a good date night fragrance that has slightly better performance than The One.

A mysterious dark aromatic scent with lavender

I haven’t found anything super similar smelling to this cologne. I think Prada carbon but it has the same performance as this and it’s 3x the price.

This cologne is a fantastic find and in the top 3 of my favorites

asecondscent

It is a charismatic scent. Imagine your attention being drawn in with a calm and chill look then suddenly given a refreshing melony high-five maybe even a soft hug. It is a calm and collected melon scent getting gentler and more intimate over time. I can only imagine people who have a well defined character bringing this to its full potential. It is great for men who can bring out a “instant connection”.

Biglou88

Just got a 200ml bottle of this for dirt cheap from notino uk. I previously sampled it and really enjoyed it.
It basically reminds me of a darker version of Mont Blanc legend spirit. It does have that invictus vibe to it as well. Smells sublime to my nose. Projection is not that good I’ll admit but it does stay on my skin for a long time and I get nice whiffs from it. I reckon I could wear this all year round.

jj7642

A highly underrated fragrance - and I'd have it no other way. This can stay my little secret. To me this sits in the category of highly versatile, mass appealing, easy to wear fragrances. Think Bleu de Chanel, Dior Homme 2020, Dylan Blue etc etc - and is my go to for this category. Definitely a compliment magnet IME - especially from women.

The most prominent notes are Melon, lavender, pepper, and tonka, perfectly blended for a clean, fresh, smooth, slightly sweet fragrance. I will say that "Man Intense" is a strange name for this. It's fresh, smooth, and sophisticated, not obnoxious and in your face.

I'm a bit perplexed regarding some people's experience with the longevity. I sprayed 2 sprays on my chest 10+ hours ago and can still smell it quite prominently as I type this review. In fact, I directly compared this to Blue de Chanel EDP, and JCMI lasted noticeably longer. It might not be Sauvage Elixir, but not many fragrances are - especially in this category of scent.

Djchildress

This fragrance has been one of my go-to fragrances when it's warmer weather and I just don't know what to wear but I want something a little more unique than the typical blue fragrance scent profile of heavy ambroxan and aquatic notes. This is much more rounded and sophisticated than most heavily sweetened fresh fragrances of today as well. I recently got a new bottle and I bought a tester for under $40 and for this fragrance that's an absolute steal! Jimmy Choo man Ice is very nice when it's extremely hot out, and Man Aqua and Man Blue aren't bad scents either, especially for the price. However I do get a slightly different note breakdown on my tester.
Top notes: Lavender, Honeydew Melon
Mid notes: Davana oil, Black Pepper
Base notes: Cistus Absolute, Tonka Beans

While I do get a little mandarin in the opening of the fragrance, the rest of it definitely follows along with the notes listed on the bottle much more closely than the notes listed here on the site. The earthyness and spice of the Davana and Cistus Absolute are clearly noticable and are what make this fragrance much more interesting to me than many other year round type of fragrances were getting lately. Just don't write it off as boring, because it gets better and better throughout the wear, and performance and sillage are both above average. 8.25 out of 10 for me, and that's high because I prefer heavier, cold weather oriented scents that are spicy and sweet in nature and this is not boring even considering that.

BigBobRoss

Average all-round

Fabean

Smells very familiar but I don’t know why. It’s got a simple scent profile that works but it’s not for anyone who’s looking for something new. A great dumb reach that won’t put gas a room.

MKnocker

Good for a designer frag. Really like the scent. Reminds me a bit of Allure Homme Sport Extreme. Not on the same street but in the same neighborhood. I prefer Allure because it performs better and smells a little less synthetic. I think they’re close enough to be redundant personally. Man Intense is a good dumb reach though that you can wear anywhere. And is mass appealing enough to garner compliments every now and then. But it’s more of “you smell good” instead of “OMG what are you wearing!” kind of compliments.

6/10

Drxy81

Jimmy Choo Man Intense is a fragrance that I would recommend for everyday wear, particularly in an office or school setting. It has a mass appealing smell that is inoffensive and easy to wear, making it a good choice for those who want a safe fragrance option. While it did not receive any compliments from the ladies, it did receive compliments from my male colleagues. In terms of performance, Jimmy Choo Man Intense has moderate projection and lasts for about 6 hours.

To me, the scent of Jimmy Choo Man Intense is reminiscent of Dior Sauvage, but with a bit of added sweetness and less of the spicy kick. This makes it a bit more laid back and easy to wear, making it a good choice for those who want a more casual scent.

Overall, I think Jimmy Choo Man Intense is a solid choice for those looking for a reliable, everyday fragrance. It's not particularly unique or attention-grabbing, but it's a safe and inoffensive choice that is sure to please a wide range of people.

jusknow

I really like the melon note, and the bitterness of the artemisia comes thru but I wish the black pepper Note was stronger. Would really make the scent standout. It’s not bad but def not worth full retail

Turbo

It does have the bubblegum smell, no like CK Escape though. Reminds me of Hugo by Boss, sort of rancid old lady lipstick smell to it, but its only slight and in the background. Its a decent smell, best of the Choo series, but doesn't last long.

SamThe1st

Jimmy Choo Intense is soo underrated and not talked about enough. Yes the performance is not the best, but so is for many other hyped fragrances.

It smells really good, with decent quality and almost year round versatility, for a very reasonable price.

khalifays911

Lovely Scent, underrated.

a2zbeats

Picked up a sample vial off of FragranceNet. Wow! This stuff smells really good. Just a great fresh masculine smell that's got a really nice light body to it, ideal for spring or summer months. The main scents I'm picking up on are patchouli first, then comes the nice roundness of the tonka bean and lavender, ending with a crisp finish from the black pepper with melon and citrus. I really think this stuff is underrated. The only real con with this stuff is the performance. It's not cheap, and if you want people to smell you you'd have to spray at least 6 sprays to have people smell you from a few feet away. I'd say it's pretty expensive for the performance you get. Scent lasts reasonably long, lasted me a solid 8 hours at the office until it started to fade. Other than the sillage, it's a fantastic cologne, if I could find it at a bargain price I would definitely pick some up.

mace01

Any stronger alternatives to this?

Jerre

*EDIT* - Actually - I am returning this to rotation status. It smells too good not to. So I replaced the towel duty with Davidoff Cool Water and Hot Water. I never reach for either of those and they also are pretty short in longevity. I'm going to wear the crap out of the Jimmy Choo Intense, just super soak in it and just roll with it. Love the smell.

I had this in my collection for a long time. Never reached for it, so I put it in the "bathroom towel airfreshener" group. Then- after using it on the display towel for a few days It hit me. This actually smells REALLY good in the mid to dry-down. I wish this had longevity. This would be a daily for me if there was. That is why I would never reach for it.. I suppose if you soaked in it you could get some. Its a shame. The dry-down is killer. I was about to take it out of the towel duty rack and put it back for rotation but I didn't. I didn't want to supersoak myself with this for the extra hour of longevity. Its not from going anosmic, it just honestly does not last..

So, I must agree with many below - Smells very nice...but just does not perform.

timecapsule96

This one smells soooo nice but it pains me to say that it does not last long whatsoever. It has a case of the “John Varvatos” side effect. If they come out with a Parfum, I would buy that in a heartbeat.

BlkhammerFrags

Very versatile. Lovely scent. Performance is poor. Fairly cheap

btd069

Smells GREAT. Blue fragrance style. To my nose, its a mix of YSL Y EDP and Coach For Men. Versatile, easy to like & can be found for a really good price on discounters, around the $40 price for a tester which typically does come with a cap.

The Bottle is beautiful and has a pressure sensitive sprayer, reminiscent of Dior's atomizers. Cap has a snake skin embossed-like detailing.

Longevity on this is CRAP.....it smells amazing for the hour that it's noticeable, then it gets close to the skin and pretty much falls off a cliff after the 3-4 hour mark (that's being generous). If this is INTENSE, I wouldn't want to try the non intense flakers. On a typical day of work, i have to respray 3x so bringing it along or a decant will be necessary. This would be good for running a quick errand or lunch and then you're still able to wear something else afterwards.

Mjchaelj

Sweet juicy melon, I like this. It doesn’t wow me but its nice. Smells very classy for the hot weather. The sprayer is great.

7.5/10

dopps

to my nose this smells exactly like jimmy choo man but with a bet more depth

MibeMibe

Just don’t like the amber in it, the sweet aquatic fruity side is nice but far too much amber and spice in the opening

Invasionbg

Too ozonic and then too much tonka in the dry down. Pass for me. If anyone is in UK and want an almost full 50ml bottle let me know 👍

JimmyMisfit

Tried this through Fragrance X. I loved the opening. The colors were a gorgeous, swirling green and purple fugue. Melon and lavender apparently go together well. Fairly short longevity and not the strongest projection for something labeled intense. The middle notes and dry down are a fairly standard-ish powdery "purple color" with the tonka and patchouli. I like this significantly more than the original as I found it sweeter and smoother. I see someone compared this with Montblanc Legend, and I can see that although this is much milder and the opening is somewhat spicier. I'd consider this unisex and for more or less any age. Would be especially good for cool, grey days.

chankonabe

The melon+lavender combo becomes nauseating after an hour for me. It is an okay fresh, slightly aquatic blue fragrance but I think there are much better options out there. It has one of the best atomizer I've used. 5/10

bryandelacrvz

Lovely fragrance from jimmy choo. In the same lane as coach for men. Performance isn’t that great, only lasts a couple hours and doesn’t really project that well either, but I can live with it. Nice safe scent.

anthonycball

Jimmy Choo Man Intense... Your do-all anytime, anywhere, anyplace daily wear; perfect for someone just starting out, or anyone needing a versatile option you don’t ever need to over-think.

This is your standard mass appealing designer fragrance. Typical “cologne” smell with no single note standing out more than another. Does lack a distinct character; other than just smelling great. Very much in the same vein as Coach For Men, JV x NJ Silver, or Monte Blanc Legend. Oh, awesome atomizer as well!

Rating: 7/10

Invasionbg

If this was longer lasting could be my every day fragrance. But it doesn't. Sadly it stays for 4 hours with 1 hour of projection. It's sad, cus it supposed to be the intense version of the original one. But it's not

nchepov27

Great smell but its so sad it lasts max 2 hours

Ashherrera

One of my favorite and most complimented scents don’t listen to the reviews!

Hein Kruger

The melon opening followed up by lavender is my favorite opening out of all the fragrances I own. Wish it could have lasted a little bit longer though. Also the atomizer on this is the best in the business! All in all n worthwhile purchase for the money. ✌️

Napasonoma

I blind bought this from FragranceNet, I like it and I bought it because I like pepper in a Cologne, so I would choose a Savauge type Cologne over an Aventus type Cologne. I get decent performance out of this. I can smell it on my skin even the next morning, but it is a skin scent by then. This has one of the best atomizers in the Cologne business. The cap is metal clad, the bottle is heavy and it is embossed in silver with name/type. This is a modern type fragrance that is on the sweeter side but not to sweet. I also think you could use this anywhere anytime. The mix of notes is spot on and the scent has a great non linear life. Starts out soapy sweet, then some spice kicks in and dries down to a sweeter but calmed down with the patchouli and labdanum., and I still can detect some pepper which I love. Skin chemistry can possibly cause performance issues, or could be nose blindness for those having performance issues. On me this is not a beast, but no whimp either.

piyux

Jimmy Choo Intense EDT Men opens with a strong projection of very sweet, fruity, citrus, and spicy accords. The opening is delectable, and the notes are intense, sharp, and very projecting. The melon, mandarin orange, lavender, and black pepper are the opening most noticeable notes. The melon and mandarin create a delectable, sweet, moist, and inviting, fruity accord; both the mandarin orange and melon complement and enhance each other. The lavender is a very fresh aromatic purple floral note, not as prominent as the fruity notes but noticeable. The artemisia and black pepper are the green and spicy notes; the artemisia brings a bitter herbal soft-touch, whereas the black pepper adds its well-known spicy note. The tonka bean, listed as a base note, comes up almost as soon as the fragrance is applied, it quickly grows, and it makes the fragrance very sweet and delectable; the patchouli and artemisia are a soft green touch that feels fresh and bright. As the fragrance moves towards its dry down, the labdanum surfaces and becomes the projecting accord; the labdanum in this fragrance can be described as a sweet, fruity, woody, with a musky ambergris-like and leathery accord. The fragrance has some important opening to dry down changes; the opening favors the citrus, fruity, and lavender notes. However, these notes lose some of their great initial intensity leaving behind the sweet tonka and musky fruity labdanum lead the fragrance. Finally, the strong initial projection takes one step down to moderate. Once Jimmy Choo Intense EDT Men has reached its full dry down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, sweet tonka, musky labdanum, fruity melon, mandarin, green patchouli, and spicy fragrance with faint some floral accords. The fragrance feels casual, comforting, delectable, dense, fruity, invigorating, masculine, modern, rich, sharp, sweet, warm, and very pleasant.

Fantastic smelling juice! I think the notes are wrong on Fragantica b/c its a pretty sweet scent but is more well rounded than the original. Performance could be better though, this is one you definitely spray on clothes. Lasts about an hour or 2 on skin and I'm talking barely a skin scent.

The atomizer is beastly. This is the atomizer your girlfriend tells you not to worry about.

Fragstino

First of all, the sprayer on this bottle is the best sprayer I've ever experienced. It's absolutely insane. The smell of this is incredible, however the longevity is a maximum 4 hours on my skin and clothes. For the price it's definitely worth trying out, just don't be disappointed when it doesn't do much for you.

stephen.redeker

First impression is a disappointment for me. I love the original Jimmy Choo Man but as everyone knows, it doesn't last more than an hour. So, I was hoping JCM Intense would be a longer-lasting version of it. But this does not smell the same, only slightly similar, and it doesn't have better performance. It's more mellow, softer and subtle. It stays close to the skin. People complain that the original is a generic smell...well to me this Intense is even more generic. Did I get a bad bottle? In short, I like the original better than this Intense version. What a shame.

Update: I wore it out today, sprayed it all over. 8 sprays, neck, arms, shirt. After 45 minutes I met my gf and asked her if she could smell my cologne. She said "nope". Forget this one, I'm going back to the original.

kareemjones

Fragrance lover and lives in hot temperatures? Get this!

parallelstream

This is one of the better "modern" smelling cheapies out there. It's got some of that sweetness that's reminiscent of Invictus, but with a little more spice.

I wouldn't call it an Invictus clone, though. It's got a little bit of its own thing going on, but while standing firmly in the same category. I would say that it's verging on generic, which is probably its weakest quality.

The performance is probably where it stands out, though. It's got really remarkable longevity and a respectable sillage, which I wouldn't say is typical for a fresh cheapie like this.

lightborn

This is nice, very nice. It has a lovely fruity opening, the orange and melon combining beautifully. You then get the sweet lavender with a slight hint of geranium. This quickly rolls into the bitter green of the patchouli and artemisia with the spicy black pepper keeping things dry and stopping the sweet fruit from becoming cloying. And the background to all of this is the tonka bean - delicious sweet sweet tonka bean. If you really sniff deeply after about 10 minutes or so there is a light musky scent as well.
One small spray should give just over 6 hours. Sillage is only moderate though, and that's my only negative. I wish it was just a little louder.
Jimmy Choo Man Intense, very impressed with it.

TheMostSavage

I really like this one. It's synthetic melon and tonka. It is a mall scent style sweet sticky DNA meant to make a man smell sexy. In that vein it's pretty all right. This isn't going to give Le male a run for its money or anything, but it's a nice change up. It is synthetic, but it's not too bad. Sticky sweet and women will love this on you. performance isn't beast mode but isn't weak either. this is a great date night scent. it will attract women under 40 for sure.

I agree with another reviewer who said this is like montblanc legend and coach for men but better. exactly right. it's not too sticky sweet like those and the melon in this is better than the apple in legend. the ingredients are better put together as well. although actually I find this to be really close in smell to montblanc legend, just more quality. it almost has a sour melon vibe to it. I think it's a good buy for a guy looking to attract the opposite sex.

again, nothing amazing here, but just a very solid sexy scent

Weak performance. Smells ok at most. And I'm not a fragrance snob, but when something performs bad and is nothing unusual, I just want to spare you the trouble of buying it.

Red_october

There is a lot of pain in my life....

THIS IS ONE OF THEM.!!

Mikey4728

Great fragrance and it is definitely a compliment getter. It's smells sweet in the opening and dies down to just the phone right amount of bubble gum sweet accord. The atomizer is amazing, almost as good as Dior atomizers! Just don't pay retail because you can find a tester for about $25!

dezie_pinx

Obsessed with this on a man. Delicious and lasts forever, I can smell this on his skin the next morning. Everyone always compliments him when we go anywhere I almost don’t want him wearing this without me

Jevans492

Casual, pretty generic mall fragrance, BUT IT WORKS! I've gotten a ton of compliments, it last around 8 hours on me and testers are rediculously cheap. I've used this at work, in classes, casual nights out and even clubbing and it works for all of the above. This is an easy blind buy and has become a signature easy-grab spring/fall scent for me. 8/10

JayLee29

Very good mall scent dna and very underrated fragrance overall. This one isn't breaking the mold on uniqueness but it is raising the bar on the current trend dna fragrances out there. I get a very tonka...patchouli bomb with this, but it stays quality and never deviates. I don't think it smells anything like Versace Dylan Blue or Invictus aqua as others have said. This is one of the most well put together frags in the market for its price class. It is a younger guy's scent but not for guys under 25-30, younger than 30 may even be pushing it. 30-40 years old is perfect demographic for this. This is sweet and classy in the way that you would go downtown and dress nice. This is a dress up cologne without a doubt. Not a casual or office scent by any means. This is date night, dress up, and show out. This is class in a bottle, but also stays young and new. Projection is beast. I get about 3 hours of solid projection and total of probably 8-10 hours of longevity. Get this instead of Coach or Montblanc Legend, it is similar to those but better by a mile. Sillage is great as well.

Blind buy worthy if you like classy dress up colognes. But keep in mind that this is mall scent dna, not niche, not unique. But very good and quality for that style.

I don't know about anyone else and their reviews and expectations.. but for me.. this scent is Amazing and lasted on my skin for 18 hours.. Just 1 spray onto my hand from the store in a tester bottle. That's after washing my hands through the day and also a shower.. I woke up the next morning and my hand still smelled like it. It's amazing. I told my wife and she smelled my hand and was like That's insane lol. Smells like the Men's department in a Macy's. It is to me the way a man should smell. I don't know if i am going to buy this or not. I want to but it's powerful. I love it but i dress like a bum everyday lol. It's a scent where you would have to dress a little bit more casual than a t-shirt and jeans or shorts to match the scent. I could be wrong.. but i'd have to buy and wear to be sure. I'd say it's made for both day and night. I loved it. I would say sample it first before buying. I've seen reviews that say it has crap longevity and smells synthetic and etc.. I personally don't need a cologne that lasts for 5 days and i spray it on me 8 sprays every time i use it. I spray maybe 2 or 3 tops. And that depends on if it's a strong scent or not. Something like this i would maybe do 2. I can see it not being for everyone but to me this is a great one. I've never written a review because most of the time anything i would say has already been said like 10x before.. But this time i couldn't pass it up. I would recommend this to anyone but sample it first to see if it is for you or not.

4resh We$

Smells like a deodorant and somewhat unisex

Yayos

This is a very rich scent !! Excellent longevity. Gave me 9 to 10 hours on 6 sprays. Will give you compliments. And great for spring and summer nights !!!
The sprayer rocks !!!!! Best i've ever seen ! So potent !

smellsbells

I bought this 2x and now I sold the 2nd bottle. It was ok but just too weak on me and a skin scent. I did get some barbershop powder smell on drydown but it was too fleeting to keep around. Sure more sprays may be better(i used 10 sprays) but still didnt last on me.

zhiang0113

The opening has the smooth, soapy clean "blue" feel in the vein of Versace's Dylan Blue - slightly salty, very sweet.

This silky sweetness vanishes about an hour later, revealing a more conventional powdery smooth drydown of musks, sandalwood, and a touch of balsamic notes and tonka bean.

Projection isn't that great for an "Intense" fragrance, but is definitely better than the Blue flanker.

Mathj34

Omg lol what is it with you lot going on about how synthetic fragrances are if you don't like it just go for niche fragrances but then again they are also synthetic lol.

gman298429

Really great smelling fragrance, just very, very weak. You'll need to re-apply after only a few hours. It seems to, unfortunately, be a trend in the fragrance industry over the past 4-5 years. Seems like they're choosing money over customer value. Shocker.

Gbolt903

To me It smells like a more refined coach for men mixed with sauvage mixed with suede I smell a small amount of fruity flower notes but mostly pepper and suede. Nice lady killer. I get tons of compliments when I wear this. Doesn’t last very long though. I get around 4-5 hrs.

ccwicks

Very nice clean and fresh out the shower smell no complaints.

fisken23

A funny thing. The original last longer than the intense version, on my skin.
Maybe not so funny, but kinda weird.

Sailorman

My colleagues wear this one at work but I will never wear it, this is an extremely synthetic fragrance that does not even try to resemble any natural ingredient, it's one of the scents that really annoys me in a weird way and it does help that it's quite strong and long lasting.

Josepavlo

This is a pretty good scent.

It’s semi-dark, semi-sweet and inoffensive. Does it smell generic? I don’t think so. It is a pretty tame perfume for a certain mood, and for a certain kind of person. Performance is not very good for an “Intense” version. Lasted 4 hours then becomes a skin scent and needs reapplication. I can imagine wearing this a lot as an office scent.

It’s very pleasant. It’s not commanding attention. It’s distinct, and people would think you smell great; but ultimately, it’s not that memorable. It is an interesting scent in a quiet kind of way. It does remind me of Montblanc Legend, the effect it has, anyway.

It’s for that clean guy at work that everybody knows, but keeps a low profile.

Sometimes, you just don’t want to stand out too much. That’s good too.

robertsayamyan07

I smelled this scent yesterday and I instantly FELL in love with this.. It's SOOOO good, but sadly lasted only 4 and a half hours on my skin(

richmilton

Faveable listed this as the most masculine fragrances on the market today in a nationwide poll of female voters. So I guess it's not as bad as the haters here claim here. I like it a lot.

Raysmooth

This fragrance is just like all of the so called generic fragrances on here they get people rating them bad when they haven't worn or smelled the fragrance, how can people vote without even owning or ever wearing a fragrance?please stop rating fragrances wrong and disliking fragrances cause of the bottle or because others like it or dislike it,u have your own opinion and my opinion of this fragrance is that it's a mixture of first instinct and Invictus,it gets 7 to 10 hours longevity and it will get u plenty attention from women,so what it smells like something else it smells amazing and it cost under 40,my personal rating is a 9 out 10 and could be a signature scent that could be worn all year around.......peace

Faithful&True

It smells good but it's too close to invictus. I personally don't want to have more than one fragrance in my collection that smells clearly the same but it is still a good smelling fragrance.

lilg4624

It smells to me like sauvage mixed with suede I smell a small amount of fruity flower notes but mostly pepper and suede it's got a really really nice atomizer and projects average but last a while on skin

smellsbells

boring and office safe. Very generic and weak to my nose. Not any better then the non intense version-save your money and get something else.

Ansarit

Do u wanna smell like a “boss” for an hour or two? Well if u do, this is the scent for u.
This scent screams out masculine and formal however it doesn’t last more than 2 hours
Overall - 7/10

Jimmy Choo Man Intense is pretty awesome. Jimmy Choo Man Intense is perfect if you don't have a mass market scent. I find Jimmy Choo Man Intense is very much Invictus but still has Jimmy Choo Man in it and even some elements of Usher He. That said, it is far more Invictus is smell and length. For some reason I do find Jimmy Choo Man Intense a little more cloying leaning than I do Invictus honestly, especially if you get a hot breeze. It isn't cloying like a gourmand can be but it is a slight knock.

I feel Jimmy Choo Man Intense is a lavendar, melon, pepper and tonka heavy scent. Those fourr notes are the strongest that I notice. I do get some mandarin orange as well. These notes are honestly why I do find the comparisons to Invictus and Usher He I find on top of this being a true intense Jimmy Choo Man flanker. Jimmy Choo Man Intense performs really good. It lasts about seven hours on me with really good projection, like Invictus.

Jimmy Choo Man Intense is similar to Invictus in use and seasonality, though with the Jimmy Choo Man like all season. it can nearly be a signature scent except there is a lot of other scents in the Invictus wheelhouse: Azarro Wanted, Coach Man, Zara Seoul, Zara Man Blue Spirit, Cuba Paris Cuba Winner, Antonio Banderas King of Seduction Absolute, etc. It shouldn't however be worn in formal settings.

I happen to love the scent. I happen to find this to be the best of the Invictus clones I've smelt and it had some originality to it. I rate this a 8.8 out of 10 and maybe a scent i can replace Invictus with.

Fitfiz

Wow! This one is really good! Better than the normal version, its more depth and dark,
The opening just like A&F first instinct with melon notes, combine with paco rabbane invictus aqua,
Then become this one, reminds me of new release coach for men, without ambroxan,
The dried down similar to paco rabbane invictus vibe,
I really love this one,!! longevity and perfomance 5-6 hours,,
Its panty dropper! Amazing!!!
Overall 10/10

spiceysauce5

While I get the comparisons to Invictus, I feel the need to distinguish this as it;s own frag.

The fact that this works well in the fall/winter months already sets it apart. It's denser and deeper than Invictus, it gives a whole different feeling to the wearer, not to mention the fact that it's much less screechy and synthetic than Invictus.

I happen to dislike Invictus and feel like it's a freshie without any substance or depth, and that makes its sweetness unbearable IMHO. This one is sweet as well, no doubt, but it's a sweet cold-weather frag which to me is much more acceptable.

I give it a 7/10, while I give Invictus a 3/10 just for the fact that it's a crowd pleaser and it lasts/projects forever.

drod88

In my opinion, this has a slight resemblance to the original Invictus simply because it is a sweeter scent. The best I could describe this fragrance is a more refined, creamier version of A&F First Instinct which I think is amazing also. All you “frag heads” bash these fragrances that smell amazing and get compliments from girls and I truly don’t understand it. Trust me, if you want to smell amazing and garner tons of positive compliments, buy this..

OntheMark

The funny thing about Jimmy Choo Man Intense is that at least for me, it bears less of a resemblance to its original namesake and more to the likes of Invictus and its innumerable analogs.

Where the original JCM leans more in the fresh peppery/fruity/patchouli direction of BdC and Acqua Essenziale, Intense removes the pink peppery kick and doubles down on the heavy sweet elements, using labdanum and tonka as co-anchors along with the prominent patchouli.

This one is sweet, but not cloyingly so, thanks to just enough florals. Aromatic, but not heavy after dry down. And, after several hours, it finally does soften up into something similar to the original Jimmy Choo Man - but by a wildly divergent route. This is much better than Invictus IMO, and like the JCM, this is definitely a scent that many women appreciate. Lots of compliments.

I am a HUGE fan of Versace Dylan Blue - my daily driver - and this one dries down to something akin to its sweeter, more relaxed cousin. The two have very little in common, but somehow I think they work in similar ways - hard to explain it.

Jimmy Choo Man Intense is a keeper for me.

007peter

I have to agree this smell like an EXACT COPY of Paco Rabanne Invictus (the original) but doesn't last as long, and price the SAME. For me, I don't think its worth it because (1) you can buy the Original Invictus for the same price which has a beastly performance of 14hrs on my skin. Or you can go really cheap with a CUBA WINNER 100ml for $13, which mimmic the PB-Invictus smell for much less.

ledlight

I was at the fragrance store this afternoon, testing Jimmy Choo Intense and i have to say, this is really nice, clean and fresh scent that last long...testing around 1pm now is 9pm and i can stl smell the scent on my dry skin, after few times washing my hands,i will buy this one tomorrow...

Scent 10/10
Longevity 9/10
Sillage 9/10

The best time to wear this fragrance is fall of spring on fresh and windy weather...

dmirror

I was at the mall today sniffing around and I noticed that a lot of these newer fragrances smell very similar to one another Jimmy choo man intense azzaro most wanted Mont Blanc legend spirit Invictus theirs another one can't remember right now but it's about 8 or 9 fragrances that smells almost the same with just slight tweaks but don't get me wrong I like Jimmy choo fragrances for men but they smell similar to other fragrances that's out

Lando1976

Wore this to a Halloween party last weekend and received several nice compliments. It's nothing really original and perhaps a bit too sweet in my opinion but people around me thought i smelled pretty good. Yeah, not the best performance but still I give it a Thumbs up.

Chicago Tony T

How in the hell can anyone say that patchouli is the main note? This is a very soft and fresh lavender and Tonka fragrance. It's basically a poorly made Gris Clair by Serge Lutens. It would be ok as a date fragrance so I can see a bunch of guys buying it that are just getting into fragrances but the old heads know better.

Ladios

Intense really? With mandarin orange, lavender, melon? I strongly doubt it.

Silencer1

I got a sample of this, and how people could say this is bad, but rave about a synthetic mess like aqva amara is beyond me. I could easily see how this would be a lady killer. Pleasant, masculine, sweet, slightly fruity...great designer fragrance...just needs to last longer. Definite crowd pleaser and definite buy.

avaloncm

Ok. Smelled it several times in the store and have been intrigued. Finally got hold of a sample. I want to like it. I am trying to like it. Scent is nice. One of a very few my daughter liked.

Longevity was not terrible. The dry down was a little powdery.

I will keep trying to see which side of this one that I will fall on.

maverick_007

I see a lot of negative reviews on this, and it's true ,longevity 's really weak after 2 hrs and it's smell similar to blue de chanel edp ,but as one guy pinpointed it's a lady killer, I just got it for my birthday from my gf and she can't stop ellining me, she got really good taste likes blue Dr channel and ysl la unit de l'homme from my collection. Will test it more but smell itself is really great and intense (first 1,5 hr) then kind of disappears ,I guess gonna have to carry pocket atomizer, also not a summer scent (got it 26th may ,25 degrees outside sunny

bwieler21

The scent of this fragrance is good, it's sweet, somewhat like Invictus but, it throws in a little barbershop manliness. It is nothing mind blowing or game changing but, it is good. The problem with this fragrance is longevity, sillage and projection, it basically has none. After about an hour on my skin it is quite faint, after 2 hours it is gone with the wind, not detectable. For the price of this fragrance and the fact that it is labeled as an intense, this is a joke. I have been trying to sell my bottle for months at LESS than half price and I don't have any takers. It seems that nobody else wants this fragrance either. Not trying to be too negative as I know a fragrance can be subjective but, this one I will say just stay away. It's not worth the price, sorry Jimmy Choo, this was a fail.

ikleifeld

See, I'm torn on this one. On one hand, I'm in love with the scent itself, especially the initial blast and drydown.

There are bold, brash, creative frags out there, but in the frags I wear more regularly I look for something a little bit more subtle. Man Intense is right up my alley. It smells somewhat generic, yes, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - generic, while boring, also means versatile.

And while it does smell similar to a host of other fragrances, Man Intense does a lot to distinguish itself from the rest. The melon puts a quirky little twist on it that really sets it apart from other similar smelling frags, and the black pepper gives it a much needed smokiness up close, pulled together by the smooth tonka bean base.

Here's my problem: it doesn't last.

A spray on each wrist and two on the neck disappear as though they'd never been there after four, five hours or so. What makes this even more jarring is how powerful the initial drydown is compared to the weak longevity and silage of the frag.

For me, personally, the scent was enough to offset the problems this frag has with longevity and strength.

I would, however, be extremely surprised if this was the case for everyone. So let this be a caution to you if you're looking for a stronger, bolder fragrance - these, Man Intense (despite the name) is not.

As an aside, I can't help but feel that Jimmy Choo Man Intense is what Jimmy Choo Man should've been in the first place. I really wish this was stronger. If an EDP version is ever released, then I know I'll definitely be buying it in the future.

GodKing

You know...I enjoying writing thoughtful reviews that capture my feelings and experiences while wearing a fragrance but, honestly, this fragrance is a dud and nothing else needs be said; it's generic, a little bit funky (not in a good way) and a not-too-stellar/kind-of-shabby scent. I'll echo what everyone else has mentioned, "Jimmy Choo Man Intense is a safe pass." Cheers!

lovetribe

a trivial scent similar to many others. nothing innovative on the market.

dzb

I'd consider myself someone who enjoys a wide variety of fragrances,

But if there was an I hate this button I'd press it. To me this smells like a thick cloud of dust. Breathtaking... in the worst way possible. I can't imagine that anyone would like this.

antonpan

A clone of Invictus (a synthetic salty aquatic) with some elements of the regular Jimmy Choo Man which itself smells as a cheap clone of Bleu de Chanel. Big no from me.

CB23

I really wanted to love it, but I'm struggling to smell anything....what's intense about it?

I still bought the bottle because I have mental problems..

groover

I was really not impressed with this one
from Jimmy choo, melon and some pepper and
a synthetic note i dont like in the middlenotes,
as mentioned it last a bit longer than the previous
release but i guess thats not much of an achievment,
longevity is avrage, now 2 hours after applying it
is a weak skin scent. All i can say is try before you buy.

OlfactoryLover

I am staring at the tester bottle and the notes are:

Top - Lavender, Honeydew Melon
Heart - Davana Oil, Black Pepper
Base - Cistus Absolute, Tonka Bean

I wouldn't wear the original JC Man but I would wear this. It has a bit more oomph to it although they could have been a bit more generous with the oil content. We all know how popular EDPs are becoming for men.

Knows2Nose

@SullyMems - If this is a lady killer then virtually any aqua/blue cologne is a lady killer too, which is nearly any cologne out there.

spcmiller

I just had the opportunity to try this at Macy's and the SA tried to convince me that it is an EDP when it's clearly marked on the bottle as an EDT. That being said, I can see how she would think it was an EDP because it initially comes out of the bottle with both strength and purpose and the promise of decent longevity and sillage. It starts out bearing a quasi-similarity to Invictus, but then after a while turns into an even more generic, unremarkable scent (if that's possible). I don't want to say that it's a flat-out copy cat, but it's just like a million other modern scents lacking any qualities that differentiate it from many of the others. I like it, but I have at least 5 or six scents I can think of off the top of my head that dry down similarly, last longer and have better projection. That being said, chicks seem to dig this, so there's a selling point I suppose.

In terms of longevity, this one is better than its predecessor, but here I am at about 2 hours after initial application and it's faded pretty significantly with projection of about 4-6 inches. I doubt it will last beyond the 4 hour mark.

SullyMems

This stuff smells amazing. Semi-dark, sexy, manly, and seems somewhat versatile to me. Here's all I have to say about how women like it:

I asked the lady (older) at the Macy's men's fragrance counter what her favorite fragrance for men was. Her response was Jimmy Choo Man Intense. Walked across the mall and met another nice girl at Sephora, and to her I posed the same question. Her response was Jimmy Choo Man (they did not have the Intense in stock). I asked her if she knew about the Intense version, and she said she didn't know that there was one. She asked me to go grab a strip, so I ran back to Macy's, grabbed a test strip, and brought it back. She then had a new favorite - Jimmy Choo Man Intense.

Bottom line: this one is a lady killer.

Update: Wore this to a dance club. It got 10+ compliments in one evening. No joke. That's all I have to say for how much women like it. I don't understand all the hate. Yes, it has relatively poor performance, but overspray this and wear it to a club or a party and you are sure to see just how much women love this scent. It's intoxicating to women. Irresistible.

ConsumerThis

I look forward to hearing more about this frag, the original one smelled amazing, but as previously said, longevity and projection was poor. If it's the same smell with great longevity, we may have a huge thing here

spcmiller

This seems to be the prevalent trend in mainstream perfumery today: they release a ho-hum, muted EDT with minimal longevity and terrible sillage and then a year or so later release the EDP/Intense version; the one that should have come out first anyway! It's a clever marketing ploy and one that by all evidence, is paying off in spades for the manufacturers.
