Jimmy Choo L'Eau by Jimmy Choo is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Jimmy Choo L'Eau was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Juliette Karagueuzoglou. Top notes are Hibiscus and Bergamot; middle notes are Peony and Nectarine; base notes are Musk and Cedar.

The house of Jimmy Choo launches Jimmy Choo L’Eau at the beginning of 2017 as a new edition of the Signature line.

Jimmy Choo L’Eau is signed by perfumer Juliette Karagueuzoglou who explains: “Jimmy Choo L'Eau captures the scent of a delicious thirst-quenching hibiscus flower blended with barks, fruits and vibrant woods, to create a radiant feminine sensuality.” The scent is floral with a hint of fruit and musk. It opens with notes of bergamot and hibiscus that lead to the heart of nectarine and peony, based on cedarwood and musk.

The bottle is elongated compared to the previous editions of the line, inspired by the Venetian Murano glass. The fragrance is available as a 40, 60 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Jimmy Choo L'Eau is a very weak and intimate fragrance. Yes it's sweet, youthful, fresh, delicate, light, and clean but it's a waste of money. Had to macerate for two months thinking it would perform better, but nope. It's really just a sweet floral fruity skin scent that fades quickly. Will not repurchase.

Where is "L Eau"???

Cosmik

Since I tried it in 2018 on vacation in Playa del Carmen, Mexico... I fell in love... I bought it without hesitation and I am quite difficult when it comes to perfumes... It is delicious, fresh, floral, fruity and light with a sweetness that is perceived as the nectarine and the flowers, the bergamot goes unnoticed for me but it gives it some freshness without being a visible citrus note. As some describe it, it is a youthful aroma, although I am not so young anymore I feel renewed...so I would say that anyone can use it, especially if you do not like heavy and overloaded perfumes or those that smell like an old lady. (no offense). I would like it to be more intense, but it is an Eau de toilette, it has little hold and after an hour you can hardly feel it, but it is still one of my favorites in recent years. I have tried others from Jimmy Choo but this is one of my favorites along with Rose Passion. Scent of summer and spring, sunny and fresh. Little sexy too in the most light and pleasant way...I always take it with me wherever I go for a trip.

Moonbeam28

A cute fragrance. This one is light, young and pretty. A perfume for people who aren’t into perfume. Very pretty bottle would look great on the vanity of someone who has few other bottles. A nice gift for a teenage girl, it’s a bit more sophisticated than Bath & Body Works or Victoria’s Secret. Inoffensive and office friendly. But sadly only lasts about 2 hours max. Perhaps with this one it’s more about the act of spraying something on from a fancy bottle and feeling posh.

DelightfulDeb

Light, fresh, floral, and aquatic. It's not doing anything new and amazing, but I really enjoy this fragrance. I'm sensitive to strong scents and L'eau light and inoffensive. It has become an easy reach for every day use in the spring and summer. I usually struggle with longevity on my skin, but this one is actually decent considering it is an EDT.

ButterCream

Jimmy Choo L’eau is a recent favorite of mine. I’ve been wearing it from time to time since the beginning of Spring. It’s a light fragrance, but it’s pretty and slightly tantalizing. I feel ultra feminine when I wear it, but I always have to carry the bottle because the scent fades quicker than I would like. It’s fine tho. I like to layer JC L’eau with a soft vanilla scented moisturizer.

I do think that there are other fragrances that smell similar to this, but I love THIS smell, and I LOVE pink, and I LOVE the elongated bullet bottle. The hibiscus and peony shine so bright for me here, and the back drop of the cedar and Musk is what I believe pulls me in.

It’s pretty and sexy…and I always want more. When I’m done with my current bottle, I’m sure that I’ll purchase another.

Andy224

Nice, subtle and easy-to-wear clean peachy scent. Simple but good enough. Safe blind buy.

liasa

not a very interesting fragrance but it’s lovely! this smells like fresh petals. delicate, girly, easy to wear and very pretty. i would recommend this for someone who wants a nice and simple floral scent.

Atomikbomb_

Ahhh. You know? I'd grab this on clearance on a heartbeat, but it isn't worth the price tag in my opinion (everyone has one of course).

I think this has a real watery theme to it, and it feels almost like soapy water...though I mean this in a positive way. This is SO refreshing and it actually has a quiet elegance to it. The nectarine is great, and this feels very much - "Quit while you're ahead!", in that it's restrained and keeps to the namesake of being light.

"Hibiscus" can be weird in perfumes, and I don't actually smell it here, but it's an aquatic floral, and the bottle color is absolutely perfect. It's lightly, cool pink. The peony is NOT the stuffy variety, it's very understated, but it actually lasts a little while for being so light, much less so on skin however.

It's not unusual or groundbreaking, nor is it particularly memorable, but I find myself enjoying it lingering despite all of that.

Lilacs&Lavender

Jimmy Choo L’Eau is, as the name suggests, light and watery, so don’t expect depth and longevity. It is only an Eau de Toilette after all. It is perfect though as a refreshing spritzer to make you feel clean and cool. JC L’eau is extremely pretty but so light, that I found by layering it over the matching body lotion or after using Versace Bright Crystal (pink) shower gel, it does actually perform quite well. JC L’eau doesn’t smell as cheap or artificial as the Bright Crystal fragrance. Don’t get me wrong, I’m fond of Bright Crystal, but I find many Versace fragrances are of pretty poor quality, even though I enjoy many of them.

JC L’eau suits a cool autumn day as well as a summer scorcher. You won’t find a prettier, more romantic bottle either. The pink glittery facets do indeed resemble a floral cordial in a gorgeous Murano glass.

Hannehoney

This is a nice dupe for Omnia Coral :) Aquatic, fruity/floral. Perfect for warm summerdays. Its like drinking a icecold glass of fruit lemonade :)

LindaL100

I like the very light floral aroma of this fragrance from Jimmy Choo, the scent of peony is lovely, but the fragrance itself is just too soft and subtle for me I can barely smell it and its longevity is so poor that it only lasted about 30 minutes on my skin, very disappointed. I would've liked this fragrance more if the scent was stronger with better longevity

likesleet

i really wanted to move this so bad because the hibiscus and peach should be divine in theory. but this was soooo weak. subtle and sweet floral which i liked, but i wish i could call out the hibiscus and peach. lasts 30 seconds and even after accidentally stepping and crushing a decant, releasing the liquid all over my hands and wood floor, it was still almost imperceptible. RIP my decant though

mtmer

Working a counter for the holidays, and this one is flying off the shelves...what's interesting to note is that men purchasing for a gift love this one, and ladies who enjoy a similar profile often reach for the Bright Crystal and the Versace shelf is right next to JC. I had no prior experience with this and enjoy it, myself. As you might expect, Bright Crystal pops a bit more while this glows soft but consistent. Seeing one Eros EDT comparison, above, I kinda felt a touch of that, too...Eros EDT is so gorgeous, scent-wise, but I find L'Eau to be a far better performer. Solid versatility, here, this goes comfortably beyond Summer.

AriaLennon

The aroma is typical floral-oriental. Warm, cashmere-like, and comfy. A powdery, delectable vanilla scent with a hint of spice and wood. Pear, Gardenia, and Black currant leaf are the top notes; Jasmine and Orange Blossom are the middle notes; while Vanilla, Kashmir wood, Musk, and Sandalwood are the base notes. A smell that may be worn everywhere and at any time. Very feminine and pleasant. It's really flowery, which I like, and it has a vanilla undertone. It's extremely lovely. It's fantastic!

natalia6032

A very enjoyable everyday scent, sweetly floral, soft, it hasn't got much personality but I don't think it's meant to be that kind of fragrance, and sometimes you want to just smell nice but nothing else- not sexy or strong or whatever other perfumes might make you feel. It does have decent lasting power but it is subtle, it's an EDT after all. I'm glad I've got it in my collection.

AshBud

Initial spray reminded me of D&G Rose, with that fruity floral, then dries down to Versace Bright Crystal. All very fresh, light pink floral. But you do get better projection and sillage with the others compared to this one.

katieyaryes

It smells so so good but the silage on it is so weak that you'd have to douse yourself in it to get anything more than putting-your-nose-on-the-spot-you-sprayed-it intimate, probably something to buy on sale for that reason

angelina.hz

Kinda gave me a eek. Pretty and feminine? Yes. But smelling this, all I can think of is a person who's just so weak that one can't even pick up a towel because it's so heavy. Not a fan

johannagipperth

It smells fresh and flowery, but I would recommend Chloés L'Eau over this. The longevity is non-existing, unfortunately.

Tunzz

Light, fresh, fruity floral scent. Perfect for days when you don’t wanna do too much but still want a nice scent. Very soft and powdery. Surprised there’s no pear in this.

Jasmine Joy

Lovely fruity floral scent. Doesn't last too long but it is good for the warmer months. Lasts longer on clothes. Even if the longevity is not that great, I don't regret buying it and will just reapply as needed. This is my first Jimmy Choo fragrance and definitely will not be the last. Overall, I love this fragrance!

Stoicchild

HEAVY Synthetic Floral Bomb! Me and the sales girl immediately had the EHHH impression. Is it Rose? Is it Hibiscus? Is it Citrus? You can't tell. Definitely doesn't smell like a Rose perfume. It's just messy, as if you're wearing multiple floral perfumes all at once. It's too perfumey!

CorgRage

One year later and this is still my easy summer errands scent. Super musky, clean, and light. Yes, a bit generic and youthful but doesn’t get old to me because now you can find it at a good discount! Sometimes I even spray my bedding when I want my bedroom to feel clean and girly. Wouldn’t hurt to try it if you’re looking for an easy throw-on option.

gold2002

L'eau is beautiful, with moderate sillage if you go a bit heavy on the sprays. It's fresh, there's a hint of tropical with a nice blend of florals. The hibiscus is beautiful in this. Longevity is not anything special, disappears in 1-2 hours.

vokajlo

I got this one as a gift to my mother on International Women's Day. She is in love with this one. My personal opinion is that this one is ideal for warm weather, meaning for spring and summer. It's not long lasting, it's neither easily noticeable. If you like to wear intimate perfumes, this may be your good choice.

VanillaBea

I was using this last summer. It’s nice, very floral and sparkly. Perfect for hot summer day but sadly with no lasting power. I will use it up this year and won’t repurchase.

Emera1d

Just got this as a Christmas present, but I think I will keep it for spring and the warmer months. It is a cute sweet floral, pretty, polite and perfect for every day. Not as sparkling and bright as Bright Crystal which I prefer out of the two. Quiet nice though, and it would be appreciated by people who like sweet floral scents. There is nothing unique or attention grabbing about L'eau, but it doesn't need to be. I will definitely be enjoying my bottle come spring and summer.

cookygirl

Yet another perfectly nice fruity/fresh floral from Jimmy Choo with no lasting power or projection on me.
This one is also very pretty and reminds me both of JC Floral (the nectarine..) and even more so of the peony-centric Burberry Her Blossom although this is a bit more airy and less sweet.
I don't really get Bright Crystal vibes from this. It's much gentler and way less sour. I just wish it had some of the latter's lasting power and presence.

eau de dosa

This fragrance is very light and fresh. Safe for someone who doesn't wear fragrance often. It's interesting that it's name "L'Eau" because it's that light. Like water lol

RainbowGirl

Golly, this fragrance is pretty. Like fairies in a peach orchard. Light pretty fresh peony and sweet nectarine are the main notes.

I am beginning to think I would love peony paired with any fruit. I just love that delicate floral scent.

I have to spray it over and over, but the projection is great, as I do smell it around me as I walk outside. But, just like fairies in a peach orchard, it flutters away much too quickly, and does not last for the duration of my long walks.

A fun and pretty fragrance, but because it doesn't last as long as I would like, I will not repurchase.

Perazim

Great, simple, elegant every day scent

Alwayssmelling good

This is very pretty and fresh, very “girl next door”. I do prefer the start as opposed to the drydown but as the longevity is bad it’s definitely something I respray throughout the day anyway. It gives me a comforting nostalgic feel of summers past.

tonkatsu335

Light floral with a hint of juiciness.
I don't like the scent of harsh peony, but this is not so strong scent that make me feel uncomfortable.

vrinsun

It’s definitely a nice fresh scent but not more than that.
There is nothing special and unique about this perfume.
The opening is a bit too alcoholic smelling but it settles down nicely.
Overall it’s a nice summertime wear, and i wear it home.

Edit: just realized that it smells very similar to Versace bright crystal , which used to be my signature scent for years in my teens.

Dort0625

I found a brand new bottle the 90ml size on eBay for $11.65 CAD with a super low shipping cost since I didn’t live too far from that province. This is love. This is girly. This is fresh. It’s lightly and spring and summery. It’s simply beautiful. ‘Nuff said !!!! Lol You have to like ones like bright crystal, addict2, poppy flower, things with a good good peony note to it! This is so beautiful. I do wish it would last longer and be stronger but I don’t know if that would take away all the good I love about it!!!

Jana711xx

I love L’Eau it is my favourite in the Jimmy Choo range, it is the perfect spring and summer perfume. I am rather concerned that it has been discontinued as it no longer appears on the Jimmy Choo website and many of the high street stores in the uk, such as Boots, no longer stock it. So that will be another of my favourites that have died a death

taileybownsend

This is my signature scent and my most complimented fragrance I own. There’s something about it that everyone loves, it’s clean, sweet, floral, and slightly sexy in an inoffensive way. It’s not in your face but it performs well and I’ve never worn it in public without receiving compliments from men and women both. I honestly don’t have enough good things to say about this one. It’s timeless.

TangoPinkMartini

Wow! Love love love! This gorgeous perfume sprays on floral, but in less than a minute turns into a beautiful aqua scent. I don’t know how else to describe it. It is what I have admired on others, but whenever I tried them (Armani Aqua di Gio, Davidoff Cool Water, etc) they immediately turn sour on my skin. This one though ... happy sigh ... is divine 🥰

CorgRage

Edit 2024: I go on to say this isn’t cheap, so over-spraying to make up for longevity is difficult. That’s not the case anymore, this has popped up online regularly for SO cheap, just grab it haha. /end edit

I really REALLY love this scent. I sniff the bottle throughout the day to make me happy. This just smells objectively *good.* Completely inoffensive, a beautiful and light fresh fruity floral. Maybe it's my skin chemistry, but I get compliments every time I wear it. My male friend told me: "hopefully this isn't weird, but you smell so pretty." It's very sparkly, and juicy without being sweet in any way (edit to say, watery is probably what I'm looking for here.) I personally think the nectarine is a bit pear-like in this, or maybe apple? The musk and cedar base notes keep it from being to sour. It's very linear, there's not really a developing scent with this which brings me to my next point. (Edit to add: I should say it's linear beyond the initial citrus, it dries down to a musky hibiscus skin-scent)

This had absolutely no lasting power as others have said, and it's so disappointing. It lasts significantly longer on clothes, so at least that's a positive. For the price however I would expect far better longevity, it's not a cheap EDT. Also, I NEED it to last longer because I'm so in love! Other commenters have said it's uninspired, that it's been done before a million different ways and better. I would implore them to tell me where, because I've ran around sniffing every fruity-floral that could be compared to this and none of them are filling the void. I was attempting to find something similar enough with better sillage and longevity but it's just not happening. To me, it's nothing like any of the perfumes that are listed here as similar.

So overall, I will continue to buy this and respray it as many times as I need to per day, because it's such an uplifting scent and I just can't let it go.

LALDN

I LOVED the scent! It’s some of my favorite notes done really well which pleasantly shocked me since I am not a fan of the Jimmy Choo EDP anymore (just too sweet for me now). Very different notes, I know, but it still has put me off a lot of JC perfumes.

This smells like Hawaii, but the longevity problem was an issue so I experimented with layering a few of my other more simple perfumes with it to help it last and deepen. I kept the travel spray I have of this, but parted with the bottle. Good for summer travel.

aldinatic

a light peony-nectarine with no silage

Alcea

Cute and soft fruity floral perfume which is quite nicely blended. However, way too weak on me, lasts only for an hour or so.

ignorabilis

This is a beautiful scent. Very clean and soft, a cute and slightly fruity floral, definitely a crowd pleaser (at least if someone can smell it). But the longevity is really weak. I sprayed it on a piece of cardboard first and 20 minutes later I almost couldn't smell it already haha. It doesn't cost that much, but I think it's not worth buying since there are very similar scents that have a better performance.

Update: I've actually purchased the Body Lotion just to try and get a better performance out of this. Wish me luck.

Update 2: I purchased a 40ml bottle (found a great deal online) and I'm actually really happy wearing this in Homeoffice. Also my SO is a big fan of this scent, he finds it "uniquely pretty". I guess, Jimmy Choo won this time haha.

aray

Before looking at the notes, I could’ve sworn I smelled strawberries and lime and a hint of white florals. It’s oh so fleeting, great as a linen spray, to the gym, or straight out of the shower. A “your skin but better” type of fragrance. Delicate, airy, inoffensive, and clean.

Lilacs&Lavender

Yes, it is fleeting and soft, but by layering the EDT over the matching body lotion I find that sillage is about arm’s length, and I get about 4 hours of actual scent before fading. Which is about where the fragrance should have been. Oh well, the body lotion has a nice consistency and is pretty reasonable in price.

JC L’eau is great for hot days right through to Autumn. A pretty, versatile, office friendly and inoffensive fragrance in an adorable sparkly pale pink bottle. This would be a lovely gift for a child’s first fragrance, and at least set them on the path to appreciating something better than sugary chemical cartoon kiddy fragrances.

sluththth

Very fresh and clean. Smells like flowers, and earth after a rain.

Yllowstar7

Got a few samples online and this was one of them. I loooove the scent however longevity sucks. I have to reapply multiple times a day. Not surprised since this is an EDT but I would rather spend my money on a EDP instead.

buubuu

I’m not sure about the notes. This is a floral fragrance everyone can wear. A crowd pleaser. I felt I have this scent already in my collection and I have no clue but I continue to wear it.

But at the moment, there is heavy raining here. I was bored. I picked some perfume to calm myself around and sitting in the balcony. (I love the splash of rain drops)

My nose remembered something. It’s Lancôme O Oui. Not the exact scent. But o oui vibe. I am glad I bought this.

The bottle alone is worth to pay for. It’s pretty to look at it.

elledeelee

Strawberries and watery flowers, with a zing from the bergamot, it's youthful but with a stand out alcohol perfumey vibe. Springlike, pretty, daytimey and very reminiscent of a slightly grown up, refined JC Blossom. The peony shows up late. Sweeter and fruitier than JC Illicit Flower, which smells like european herbal toothpaste next to this.

Nina Anaisa

I got a free sample of this fragrance, and when I smelled it it was so citrusy and green, that it came across as bit sour with some wood. I am surprised that it is classified as a flowery Fruity sent.

lisajmunro

I do love this, it's so pretty and springy. It's quite subtle and it smells best to me at the opening. This makes me understand what people mean when they say a scent is "sparkling". I just wish it lasted longer :(

UtCal5rn

I really LOVE the notes of this perfume, and for half an hour it is the prettiest thing. But then it's just a skin scent and after an hour it totally disappears. Like completely. I can't even detect it where I sprayed it. I have a set with the shower gel and lotion, and even if I layer all three products together I can only get a little bit longer than that. It's so short-lived that it's a shame. It would easily be in my top 10 fragrances if I could just smell it longer.

NessS

This is lovely! Fresh fruity happy - it smells like spring. Agree with other reviewers though, poor sillage and poor lasting power. What a shame, because I really love it otherwise.

Hija

Sorry to say this, but save your money (tested it yesterday, and I do not even find it just a tiny bit pleasant, (despite the alluring notes-) synthetic smelling, got no "personality", weak..

s801959

If you want to spend your money on something that will make you obligatory put your nose directly on your skin for the 5 minutes that the fragrance will last on your skin so you can smell it, then this is the right fragrance for you.

On me it smells very sugary.

I do not buy fragrances in order to have to put my nose on my skin in order to smell it.

The other reviews are right, after 5 minutes (not 10 minutes, but 5 !), it's all gone !

In fact, you will have to re-spray like 5 times for each part of your skin that you will want the fragrance to be, and so very often that - due to the strong amount of alcool in it - your skin will burn very quickly.

Jimmy Choo was wise when he created "l'eau". Indeed, it is all "eau" - water and like 8 per cent of fragrance, which fades faster than you ca say "what a waste of money".

NEVER AGAIN !

PricklyAndHot

I wanted beautiful peony. But I can't say that peony is touching here, despite it's the leading note for sure. Light watery-peony fragrance.

Wero94

Ugh... I have enough. I have enough of those fruity-floral waters, that have no sillage, no longevity and NO BALLS. I mean, this kind of fragrances are needed, indeed, but why almost every new perfume smells nearly the same?

And let me be clear - I don't hate this perfume. To be honest, there's nothing to hate and that's the problem. I don't like perfumes without any character.

What we have here? Some florals (mainly some watery peony), some fruits (I don't even know what kind of fruits), tbs of sugar and super synthetic base. Is it disgusting? No. Does it stink? No. Is it pleasant? Yes. But is it a good perfume? IMO - definitely NO. I guess that many girls and women would like this, specially teenagers, because as I said earlier, there's nothing to hate about this perfume. And I respect that. But honestly - it smells like many other perfumes from Avon or Oriflame and is a lot more expensive. So I guess it isn't worth the hype and your money.

elmccullar

Perfectly sparkling and pretty. Top notes are fruity and sweet. Dry-down is pretty, unoffensive, sparkly and fruity/floral mix. Super happy with this purchase! The bottle is simply gorgeous as well. Lasting power is medium...I feel like I'll need to re-apply at least once or twice throughout the day, but that's ok because it's just such a pretty scent!

Grasshoppaaa

Jimmy Choo L'Eau is a fruity floral. The fragrance presents a very simple princess palette, with poppy florals, that are bursting with feminity; amongst a fruity backdrop that greatly adds to the feminine depth. The choice of nectarine provides an ambrosial feel to the florals, which is a really nice touch if you ask me. The formula is pretty simple though, so there really isn't really much else to say about too it.

The combination of peony and hibiscus is nice, almost tropical feeling, but they are very stand-alone, so this fragrance is probably best suited for a woman of confidence. The simple nature may not provide a big confidence boost, so you'll have to supply your own. It's not bad otherwise though, and could easily make an enjoyable wear for any girl on a high-spirited day.

magdalena81.1

Perfectly nice floral, airy scent that feels pretty. Has a note that reminds me of cucumber and it´s fresh. Cute bottle that´s suitable for the perfume. I like it but it´s a little boring and reminds me of many other perfumes.

mylene_stl

It smells pretty, but has nothing special to offer. I see the trend of light perfumes, and I like it. But light doesn't have to mean Boring...
This one is really not unusual, I surely smelled something similar in the past.
And what can I Say about the longevity... About an hour ans Its gone.
I like the original Jimmy Choo, this one is definitely a pass for me.

Cassiano

Jimmy Choo L'Eau was released in early 2017 and came to Brazilian stores in August of the same year, when I received a bottle. It was the first L'Eau version of the eponymous line, known as Signature, which started by the fragrance in EDP concentration that was launched in 2011 and brought some flankers.

Jimmy Choo L'Eau is a fresh, fruity and floral Eau de Toilette, which was created by Juliette Karagueusoglou, perfumer responsible for other successes for brands such as Coach, L'Artisan Parfumeur, Salvatore Ferragamo, YSL, etc. Its fragrance seeks to evoke a radiant femininity through notes of hibiscus flower and bergamot at the top, which blend with notes of nectarine and peony in the heart, and lay down over notes of cedar and musk, incorporating contrasts.

The brand says that the concept is to interpret a delicious water of hibiscus in order to "quench thirst". But the truth is that the hibiscus, in perfumery, ends up conferring musk nuances. For this reason, the greatest secret of Jimmy Choo L'Eau – that touches the skin with a fruity explosion, capable of deceiving and causing the brain to imagine notes of lychee or even apricots – is the nectarine. Its almost dairy and succulent facets merge with the floral and fresh aspect of the peonies and result in a cheerful scent.

Jimmy Choo L'Eau does not bring a surprising innovation and does not carry any DNA from the original version (by the way, would not be a bad idea). Even so, it is an easy-to-please scent and has a springtime aura, timeless and diurnal, full of versatility. That is, it is that type of fragrance that never goes out of fashion and can be worn by women of all ages, from pre-teen girls to white-haired women who practice yoga and are full of vitality.

In terms of projection and durability, it does not disappoint. In view of its composition, you could not expect anything different: it exhales well, especially at the beginning, and then becomes smooth and close to the skin, but lasts for more than eight hours, even on summer days.
The visual pattern has been respected and the box continues to bring the snake texture. The bottle, inspired by Murano glass from Venice, has become elongated, but still makes familiarity clear.
It is a fragrance with all the characteristics of a good L'Eau in Eau de Toilette concentration. No more, no less.

Dort0625

I purchased one of those sampler boxes from Shoppers Drug Mart and this was one of the ten options in it and I did pick this one. So I couldn’t figure out why it seemed familiar and then I come on here to give my review and saw that Britt Sheer and Bright Crystal are listed as similar scents and those two are two of my favourite perfumes lol and I much agree they are very much alike! It’s that fruity floral fresh scents. I do love this, but it is very light.

jenna.kal

It’s been a while since I smelled this but I held onto the sample till it was gone lol but funny thing is I LOVE THE OPENING and wish it could have stayed that way through out! Being it opens very fruity and sweet! Then it loses some sweetness and kind of turns a bit sharp if that makes sense...or maybe a little bitter or maybe it’s the floral that kicks in that dissipates the sweetness and fruitiness almost a sweet grapefruit I smell at first, SO GOOD! Since I’m not a floral girl I’m more fruit and sugary girl I def love smelling the bottle and the first few seconds of the opening lol very pink, very girly, very pretty and light! Refreshing indeed!makes me happy smelling it :)

miafran92

OK maybe it is nectarine and not mango. I've been thinking mango for a while but now i see nectarine listed.

miafran92

I admit it's not the most interesting perfume out there, but for some reason I am addicted to this stuff! I get mostly floral and mango (which I keep thinking is nectarine), and I swear there has to be a salty aquatic note in there somewhere. Hint of musk at the end and fortunately for me not too strong.

Parisian Midnight

very pretty...easy to wear. yes i want this

JetsBabe

I love this. Definitely long-lasting.

Smells fresh to me-- flowers mostly, but smell a bit of the mango.

I think it's perfect and suitable for any age.

I never got on with the original Jimmy Choo, so I thought perhaps this one would be better for me. I have tried it a couple of times now and I just don't see the point in it, the scent is so faint. It's fresh and lemony on my skin, but if anyone wanted to smell it on me, they would literally have to press their nose against my wrist. On other people maybe it could work, but for me, it really just reminds me of washing up liquid, fairy platinum to be precise! I just wouldn't pay money for this, I don't care how nice the bottle is.

ScarlettX

There's so much synthetic peony in it. I can't smell anything familiar original Jimmy Choo-like in this fragrance.
I am not impressed.
It's just so boring and generic. Just some new bottle, but the scent is nothing special.

nebbe

Well, I get fruity musk without much floral anything.
One small spray under my shirt lasted many hours for me.

Not something i will wear again, but would absolutely gift.

Very sweet ode to nectarine. I like it but it's not groundbreaking. Just a youthful scent for Jimmy Choo fans.

Astar

I'm astounded by the amount of controversy around this perfume (love-hate is going strong), so I just add up to it. I belong to the group of wearers on whom this scent lasted literally minutes, and perhaps after an hour of wear there was nothing left. I understood that the scent mainly pleases those who are opposed to the original Jimmy Choo, which I am - on the contrary - a fan of. Hence, L'eau is a pass for me. Too much of a mediocre, light, inoffensive, but also not particularly memorable white flower scent, one of many.

First off, I am a card carrying niche and indie perfume slut. Lately I've been sniffing and rubbing magazines, because they're there. It's how I discovered Prada Candy.

So today I discovered Jimmy Choo L'Eau EDT in an InStyle magazine and tonight picked up a little 2ml of the Choo L'Eau EDT from a lovely SA at Bloomingdales, 15 minutes before close. I called over to see if they had it, reached her and she made one up for me to pick up since I was just across the highway at Wegmans. So nice of her, I will buy it from her at (gasp!) retail if I get a FB, having done my time in sales. And there are some nice bonuses happening.

It's definitely fruity but not sweet fruity. Micallef Ylang has it beat for sweetness by a mile. Notes are Top: bergamot, hibiscus flower. Middle: nectarine, peony flower. Base: musk, cedarwood. And somewhere in there is an aromatic that complements the citrus; my first thought was sage; could be thyme. It's what first caught my nose in the magazine among the fruits and florals.

It's a happy little fragrance, like Bob Ross' happy trees. I'll wear it for a few days and see if it holds its charm. I have no truck with it being lighthearted; it's a nice, change from my heavy hitter niches and vintage designers and the like. Just because I'm jonesing for Mohur doesn't mean I can't appreciate this; and I am not young.

Scent: 8/10
Longevity: 5+ hours
Sillage: moderate

Update: The drydown on this is disagreeably synthetic, like raspberry Koolaid. I put it away and forgot about it. The other day I pplied it again. I like the top and heart notes so much, I think I might let the drydown slide, maybe overspray something. A few more wears should tell me if this is FB worthy.

I just tried this today in Sephora, and it's actually the first Jimmy Choo that I really like. Yes, it is a mildly sweet, demure aquatic fruity floral, but I happen to love aquatic florals.

To me, this smells almost exactly like Burberry Brit Rhythm Floral, which I wasn't that impressed with at first, but which grew on me with repeated wearings, to the point where I was craving it.

Since Jimmy Choo L'Eau reminds me so much of Brit Rhythm Floral, it gets an immediate thumbs up from me.

However, it is fading fast, so I suspect that it will need the full humidity of summer to stay present. Or, rather, I *hope* that humidity will help it stay present. But yes, as others have indicated below, L'Eau is weak sauce, which is too bad because I find it very pretty and wearable.

The weekly flyer for shoppers drug Mart (shout out to my fellow Canadians, eh!) came out he other day and this was in there and I really thought nothing of it, every Jimmy Choo fragrance I have smelled I thoroughly hated so I paid no attention to it. Until today that is! While perfume window shopping/smelling today at SDM I went to reach for those little cards you spray perfume on and rather than the cheap plain white rectangular ones they normally have out there was one for this perfume in the shape of a flower and pale pink in color. It was enough to peak my interest so I wandered over to the display for it, and much to my surprise I fell madly in smelly love. While it's not anything ground breaking it is absolutely lovely. If you are into light aquatic florals this would be love at first sniff!!!

aqua76239

this is pleasant light fruity floral, that literally lasts minutes. I was disappointed because I was expecting some similarities to regular JC. Nope, not happening. If you want this kind of scent, might as well go to Victoria Secret.
Very meh all around

All claims are true except the one for sensuality. Jimmy Choo L'eau is not sensual at all. Balmy and light, inoffensive and developing, very appropriate for teenagers or millenials who want to smell something but nothing (medium or heavy) in particular. Just a good vague scent. An okay fragrance.

They could have been more creative with the notes. But despite that the blend is a good combination of notes. I like the addition of hibiscus, which is not used a lot in modern perfumery. Could be an EDT of a more complex scent, had they created it, because honestly this does not bear any similarities to the original Jimmy Choo.

The opening reminds me of Chance Eau Tendre but the peachy drydown sets it apart. Lasts for a couple of hours and sillage is very soft. Nothing in common with Light Blue Dolce and Gabbana

Soutty123

Nice but reminded me of too many other scents on the market. Clean and fresh that's it

genny17

Well I got it and expected better , it is just another fruity floral, fresh, nice, but like nothing really great...you can't tell it is a Jimmy Choo, it is a watery floral, and not bad...i feel I wasted my money on it...i had thought the hibiscus would have given it a little something different, but it didn't...it blends in with the other notes nicely...not overly impressed with that bland scent.
I feel you can find better for less money, but I agree it would be a nice one for a teenager..

_christine_

A very simple, fruit-forward scent in the "Bath and Body Works" style. Not offensive, but not at all interesting either.

This would be a great first perfume for a teenage girl.

DarlingNikki

Smelled a carded sample and it smelled fresh, inoffensive and pink. I'm actually interested because the other JC fragrances are too patchouli heavy for my sensibilities and I'm always on the look out for a good office scent that won't send people screaming from me or glaring in offense, LOL!

UPDATE: I bought two carded samples for a reasonable price and this is so perfect as an office scent for those who want to wear a fragrance, but have to be careful of scent sensitivities. This is fresh, 'pink' and very safe and although I don't think I'll buy a large bottle, if a rollerball comes out I will buy that.

It's hard to see how a perfume like this is going to make a lasting impression on an already congested market full of floral fruity scents (unless you're swayed by pretty bottles, which this one has).

Jimmy Choo L'Eau is alright in that you won't smell bad, but it's not particularly original. It's the kind of perfume you might buy for someone and you're not sure what to choose (tip: don't, unless I'm in the shop with you). The hibiscus and the peony work well together, and the peach is well blended. There are many similar fragrances, but it's a safe bet.

This is the first Jimmy C. perfume I own. I cannot make up my mind about it...which cannot be that good. It's ok. It does not last all that long. It smells fresh. Smells good. Good for spring. Just not my fav though.

Miss-Fragrance62

Hâte de le sentir :D

genny17

seems like it will be perfect for spring! Looking forward to it!

We need extraits, not l'eau! To the perfume industry: Stop taking our money for this bottled waters!
