Fresh, Captivating, and High Quality. Perfect for warm spring/summer days that are above 78 degrees. *Must like Honeysuckle and Zesty scents. 8/10

I like this fragrance BECAUSE I understand this fragrance. It’s aromatic. Gives me a nostalgic feeling of playing in my grandmother’s garden as a little child. Sort of emotional in my opinion. Not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s sharp to the nose when you smell it too much. Not seductive, just a weird art. I don’t like the davana in this which makes it smell cheap, I think. The dry down (moss) is so comforting. But then again everyone has different taste. It’s not a people pleaser in my experience. I wouldn’t recommend a blind buy of this fragrance. Only buy if it truly fits your personality and style.

isomunro

Reminds me of walking through my childhood garden. I specifically recall my Mom pointing out the honeysuckle to me. This leans very white floral, and I did get a bit sick of it after many days of wearing this as my signature scent.

However, I will never forget how much I loved this when I first bought it - it was my first JM full-size. I wear it now on occasion, to make the bottle last. I likely will not repurchase.

When the first cloudy days of fall start, I reach for this one. It kinda makes me feel like a young lady who wants to pass as a mature woman, smart, and elegant. Generally, this is so me in my 20's and it brings this out every time I wear it. It's sweet, mossy, green, with a rich honeysuckle not reminiscent of crips fall evenings where the night flowers are still in bloom but the fall covers them with a layer of cold. It's classy, like a single line of pearls around your neck or like a chiffon silk shirt that hugs your body. It's perfect for fall.

irasimica

one of the nicest mossy notes I’ve ever come across. to me, it smells like some sort of bulb flower growing from a damp and mossy forest floor

twoski

I really like the davana note in this, but the whole composition is just a bit too white floral forward for my taste.

I will say, this feels like one of the stronger jo malones that would actually be worth buying.

I find this leans very femme. Sweet, fruity white florals with a slight herbal undertone. A bit one-dimensional but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I am a very picky Jo Malone purchaser..Honestly I find most of their fragrances way too understated and fleeting but this one different (and Red Roses) It is lightly seductive - if that makes sense. It draws you in to sniff ... and sniff again. The Davana and moss creates a nice green herbaceous bed for the honeysuckle to lay in and shine. On my skin the scent is still going strong after 5 hours. I am inclined to layer it with wood sage and sea salt or poppy and barley...I'll keep you posted!

ty18

veryyy creamy and white-floral based. if u don't enjoy those types of fragrances def do not buy !! dry down might be my favorite part its a really nice musk and another note (i wasnt sure if it was the moss but looking at the other reviews i think it is). it's nice to wear as a sleep scent but i think u have to be careful with wearing it in the daytime (it can get pretty overpowering quickly bc of the strong honeysuckle & rose florals). maybe layering would help? wouldn't rec doing more than 2-3 sprays tho. i think it's more mature than i prefer (kinda a grandma scent tbh lolol)

Such an impressive white floral. The honeysuckle opens up gorgeously and davana adds an interesting green and sweet hint. The perfume is very simple, fresh and inoffensive. It's definitely blind buy safe and safe for office. It does not have an extremely strong projection, which may be good for some people. The drydown is soft and very floral. It's not citrusy at all, nor is it too herbal for me.

It's 2023 & I cannot understand how people still do not know what Niche means. How does something SMELL Niche? Niche is from A Company that only does scented products. Jo Malone is Niche, Tom Ford is designer. A perfume Can't SMELL Niche. TF has good ones & bad ones, & So does JM. As a matter of fact, so does Walmart, lol. And every other Company. For different people. Onto how this smells. I love Honeysuckle, I have the smallllll 15 ml bottle & that is all I need. I am a huge JM fan, but I guess it's the Rose I get so strongly that turns me off. It's pretty, it's ok. It's a good one to throw in my purse in case I just want to smell pretty, but not a guarded perfume I won't let leave my house. I will likely use this, but wouldn't repurchase. Remember, when you go to the JM store, or counter, their marketing is to mix. With another JM fragrance. News flash ,...I always Mix, but it doesn't have to be just a JM perfume. They throw that at you hoping you will buy 2 or 3 at the same time. Fragheads have known for years you mix with whatever works, not just JM w/ JM.

sdearos

Hit or miss. This is dreamy on my sister-in-law but picky with my skin. For the 1-2hours of wear, it smells like sticky flower juice. There’s that mossy, balsamic/soil scent reminiscent of broken stems. The drydown is suede and powdery, and eventually lightens into its final form. This final stage is that intoxicating fragrance you smell when you walk past a Jo Malone store. Now that part I love, but I’m put off by the initial heaviness. I’ve tried layering it with Mimosa & Cardamom, and then Orange Blossom on separate occasions. Mimosa & Cardamom made the “final” phase last longer, but didn’t take away the weird heaviness at the beginning. Orange Blossom did, but also simplified the drydown scent. Hmmm. I have yet to find the ideal layering partner.

cwavah

Not really impressed by Honeysuckle and davana ....its an average scent. ...

Anabee

It’s not a fresh scent but rather a creamy, buttery floral that smells vintage. I can imagine this to smell great on a more mature lady. It can be pleasant on the right skin chemistry, not on me tho, despite my love for Honeysuckle.

Bubbles1964

This is not a fresh honeysuckle scent, the profile is very synthetic. Then I get a fizzy green and orange blossom notes. It does smell like a restroom, though to me instead of cheap rest stop, it smells like a fancy restaurant restroom—a scent that’s good for covering up something undesirable!

imegaphone

This smells nothing like Miss Dior Cherie, I don't understand why people voted for it! All I smell are flowers that are ready to be thrown in the garbage. This smells cheap like a public restroom air freshener.

WhiteFlowerPrincess

I tried this in-store because I wanted a true-to-life honeysuckle soliflore perfume, but this was so disappointing and only smelt vaguely of honeysuckle and it had a vague balsamic quality, bitterness and earthiness from the moss and davana notes on my skin.

Eventhough it wasn't listed here, it smelt kind of fruity and citrusy too. It's not my most favorite smell in the world. Honeysuckle as a note seems SUPER HARD to get right! I also couldn't smell any rose in this either, eventhough its listed here.

The sillage of this perfume was moderate and it lasted quite a long time on my skin, reaching the 5 hour mark before dissipating completely from my skin. The longevity is not bad for the price or how much ml you're getting too. Just don't go in thinking that it will be a powerhouse fragrance or that it will smell like honeysuckle.

This is kind of average and unisex smelling for me and I'd give it a 5/10 personally. I don't recommend it.

GenevaX

This is a soft, tea-like fragrance, gently floral with the honeysuckle in a muted form, and some sweet, honeyed facets. There's also a touch of fruitiness. As it dries down, it becomes more powdery, almost chalky or starchy, but not unpleasantly so. The listed oakmoss note surprised me since that kind of pungent earthiness isn't really in Jo Malone's wheelhouse, and predictably, I don't really pick up on much moss here. As a result, it remains inoffensively preppy and prim and perfectly suitable for everyday wear.

thecellophaneflower

Very unique. Very well blended. It almost smells like a rice patty, or a sencha tea. The earthiness of the davana is very prominent on the dry down, but the sweet honeysuckle does linger softly. It smells very unconventional, especially for Jo Malone.

lady_ireth264

My first Jo Malone and I am happy that I purchased this!
It's straight up green, fresh, uplifting honeysuckle to me with a touch of something fruity that's perhaps the davana.
After 5 minutes, the honeysuckle is warmer with the moss background.
But the moss remains a supporting note only. It's not bitter on me, just a sort of earthy note, like crushed dry leaves. I like it. I smell no roses at all.
Pretty linear and surprisingly longlasting both on skin and clothing, even after I washed my hands several times.
I enjoy this British style fragrance very much and eyeing to buy the wood sage sea salt next.

1amsoup

was gifted a travel size of this alongside a full bottle of wood sage and sea salt back in august, i use wood sage and sea salt religiously but for some reason put off smelling this until now. i'm very picky when it comes to florally scents so i went into this with pretty low expectations, but was very pleasantly surprised. the sweetness and subtle earthiness of the perfume balances out the florals perfectly, and make it soft and well rounded rather than sharp and headache inducing (which is what i find most floral perfumes are). this perfume makes me think of walking outside on a warm summer day, and i think it would actually be perfect for this occasion. i don't think i would buy a full size, but definitely will be coming back to it when i want a nice pick me up or just want to feel pretty and feminine.

magicalzebra

I love the smell of honeysuckle very much, reminds me of my childhood. I was looking for a simple fragrance that would do the same and looking at the name I blind-bought this one. I mean kinda obvious, right? It's not the honeysuckle I expected but it's nice. It's elegant and comforting but I am not the biggest fan of this fragrance. It reminds me of an old side character in someone's dream. I can't wear this unless I combine it with a citrusy more fresh sort of scent. It's just too boring for me on its own. But if you're looking for an inoffensive fragrance that you can wear without getting any attention, (you'll certainly have a lovely aura tho) go ahead and give this a try.

islandgirlmaranda

Just layered this with Jo Malone Orange Blossom....Holy Moly YuM. Eyes rolling back delicious...

By it's self it is just like the reviews mention...a rosy floral tea with honey, dirty honeysuckle....

But layered with their Orange Blossom, it's pure heaven! WOW!

Update: I really liked this perfume on its own...it's a perfume that morphs into new scents as it settles in. As time went on it became very sweet on my skin and I LOVE it. I sprayed it on my arm last night before bed and now this morning it's still there, but it's a slightly masculine scent. I adore this. Alone AND layered. Just ordered a bottle. This is one of those perfumes with many facets that changes over time...and no one else will be wearing it...it's very unique and smells like what I imagine a duchess would wear to go horse back riding through the English Countryside with her thousand dollar riding boots on.

barwench

It reminded me of a sweet, floral tea. Having never smelled davana or true honeysuckle, I am unable to place the notes exactly. A pleasant floral scent that does not suit me.

Snt_Gulab

Loved loved loved it until the terrible oak moss note at the end. I couldn’t stand it. Idk if it’s my skin chemistry or the specific molecules they used for the base but try before you buy and wear it all day before making a decision.

The florals were incredibly unique. Dare I say, some of the most unique florals, even though it’s simple and two notes, that I’ve encountered so far. It reminded me of flowers back home without going in the heavy white florals “auntie directions”. I really thought this was the one for young brown women like me who want to echo that auntie white floral lineage but with their own fresh twist. Something Jo Malone is so good at doing! But alas the oakmoss note is terrible. I wish they tried vetiver or patchouli instead. Would’ve gone so much nicer with the other notes. Oakmoss is such a western chypre Base.

memotreats

got my 100ml bottle today, and applied one spray on my wrist to test this out, i feel a subtle hint of My Burberry Black mixed with Jo Malone Peony & Blush. Silage & projection is strong because my husband who usually doesn’t notice perfumes that i wore, with just one spray of this he quickly asked if i just applied my perfume because the projection was kind of beast upon first application. i honestly expect this to smell more earthy & green but it leans more on sweet floral, and really to my nose it does have strong vibe of my burberry.

CoCo_05

This literally the only flowery fragrance that I like. I actually adore it! It's feminine, unique and it's actually a good lasting especially when you have on mind that it is a cologne, but definitely for summer, spring, maybe and early autumn I bought it when I visit Paris the last time and imagine if choose this one over a French perfume how good it is...😁

ifffy

A REALLY heady and loud honeysuckle perfume. The davana erupts out with first spray and lingers throughout, and then the honeysuckle comes through. There is a sweetness of actual honey in it , bit jam-like that cautions against overspraying. Slightly spicy, from davana I reckon. It has a mature feminine vibe to it , in a confidence-boosting way. She knows herself, she carries herself with certainty and she dominates the space around her. Do not overspray, it can get nauseating. But the smell lingers on clothes and skin until the next morning, with that very sexy womanly vibe. However, its not my favourite honeysuckle. I like le chevrefuielle's impression of it more because its softer and pleasing to the senses.

nakurp

its actually a very flowery fragrance, kinda generic, but i really like it! smells so elegant and comforting in a way. this one's totally a wedding scent for sure. i wore it to my bridesmaids duty in Bali and i cant stop thinking about that day every time i wear this fragrance. its so simple, yet so beautiful. i really love it on hot summer days. also, this one lasts quite a long time on my skin, about 6-8 hours.

KarinaSo

My fav from Jo Malone :) This one is perfect for summer, especially when it's +30 and you just got out from the lake in the forest or any other clean refreshing water. Scent has enough sweetness from honeysuckle though davana is most prominent here, and i barely get any rose. Not love because unfortunately sometimes on my skin drydown smells like sweaty men who used deo 'for men' 😕

dyaver

Review update: This perfume is original. It smells like honeysuckle on a rainy day. Rose and moss dominate in the drydown. Recommended for warmer months. The longevity is amazing for a Jo Malone, it lasts on my skin around 10 hours, on clothes naturally even longer.
Originally “love” changed to “like” after using this for some time. Feels too sharp at times, can be headache inducing.

vatrecel

This is in the running for my new summer scent. I hate I only purchased the 1 oz bottle. It smells so sweet, but not sickly sweet or candy sweet, but flowery sweet. There was a honeysuckle bush right outside my apartment growing up and I used to love to eat the nectar from the flowers in the summer and I love the scent. This perfume smells just like the honeysuckle bush. It brings back fond memories of my childhood.

It has surprisingly good longevity for a cologne. It lasts a good 6-8 hours on my skin.

fallonkessler

To my nose, it’s a straight forward heavy light floral that similar like white floral jasmine sambac in the opening😘.

The drydown it just blend pretty well with all the notes, and to me it’s a gorgeous fragrance, and I love it so much😍.

Performance: is good on the first spray, long last 6-7h++ approx on skin, and it project 4-5h++. Also I feel like a walking dandelion when wearing this haha lol.

Wearable at sunny day and night. Totally worth buying from JM.

mrshnchnkm

It smells like rose and honey, that's it... Too generic and boring for me.

fauxmantis

There’s something horribly off-putting about this for me, like intense pineapple, anyone else?

shoujomarina

i love jo malone because their scents are so straight-forward. this one however surprised me. i definitely was expecting sweet when i read that this had honeysuckle, but i moreso get the"green" davana powdery vibes. it smells like a sexy librarian or something lol. it reminds me of a mystical garden at night... not my absolute favorite but perfect for certain classy outfits. don't overspray or can be nauseating. my dad has complimented me on this and he rarely does. very odd tbh lol. still on the hunt for the "honeysuckle" fragrance of my dreams..

mauvealert

Gorgeous warm yellow floral that is quite heady, spicy and green all at once. Smells like standing in a flowering thicket on a hot summer's day. Can be a bit heavy in hot weather, but gains some nice freshness layered with Wood Sage and Sea Salt. It is fantastic on its own in spring and autumn, even winter or on a brisk summer's day. Also layers really well with Blackberry and Bay, you'd think with two very herbal scents you'd smell like a bramble but they come out smelling surprisingly posh--the berry and rose get coaxed out from their hiding places and become much more prominent.

ilayda

i LOVE this scent. Ive wanted it for a while and my boyfriend got it for me this christmas and im ecsatic. Its not their most popular or a crowd favorite but I find it so unique and so me and i just love spraying this.Honeysuckle is just such a nostalgic scent to me and its just so beautiful in this scent. The rose is super faint and keeps the fragrance classy and elegant but also appropriate for all ages.

Minimijn

Ugh. I sprayed this on the back of my hand at the parfumerie so it might be a little different on the wrist, but this just straight up stinks. I don’t know what it is, but this formula and my skin do not like each other. Opens okay with honeysuckle but already quite bitter from what I assume is the davana (no clue what that smells like). Then it loses the honeysuckle completely and is just… gross. Not just bitter, actually gross. When that’s fading I can detect a bit of the roses’ sweetness but it’s overwhelmed by the stink. Ew, it’s a no from me.

ingeneuxo

-I enjoy the rather photorealistic honeysuckle note in this fragrance.
-Not as sweet as that in other indie perfumes.
-Sadly this dries down rather generic and perfumey.
-Threatens to rake the nose. (-)

Today a member asked, "What’s your personal favourite most strange but also strangely addictive scent you own?"

Here's my post:
___________________________________________________________________________

THIS ONE:

Honeysuckle & Davana Jo Malone London

The name sounds so frank, so innocent... And the notes look deceptively simple. Just davana, honeysuckle, rose, and moss.

Sounds simple, right? ;-D

Oh my gosh, this fragrance is NOTHING like any other perfume I own. And I do own it, because with the first sniff of a sample, I was completely HOOKED. I was so addicted to this scent that I bought both a small bottle and a full bottle.

Why buy two bottles?

Because the full bottle was necessary, but wouldn't arrive before the sample was gone. The small bottle could be picked up right away to tide me over.

As to the notes -- I smell NO honeysuckle, rose, or moss in this, and I have no idea what davana smells like but I'll bet you a dollar that if I did, I wouldn't smell that in here, either.

Don't ask me to describe what I do smell. It isn't a flower, or green, or woody, or musk, or Amber.

I don't know what it is, but it arrowed straight through the scent receptors to the pleasure centers in my brain, and I just HAD to have it.

EDIT: Sprayed my wrist again, trying to identify a few notes.

I definitely smell aldehydes.

Also something that reminds me of airplane glue, the kind you use to put together model airplanes? No, I'm not joking!

Also some floral notes, white flowers, maybe powder.

Very weird stuff. But delicious and definitely ADDICTIVE.

Nataliemarie

This is pretty & it also projects & lasts on me. I have never had a problem w/ Jo Malones. I put like 3 sprays of Nectarine Blossom & honey on me once & I smelled it on everything, jacket, clothes not yet washed....for days! So long, I got tired of it that week & couldn't wear it for a while. I read the reviews first, some of them. Not smelling Honeysuckle? That's all I get w/ a little rose in there. Almost too much. It's a sharp honeysuckle, not a sweet one, so that may be why those people are not recognizing the note.
@genny17, You do you! Those sales ppl would LOVE for you to buy 3 bottles, the "Layering" pitch the SA give is marketing. JMs are no different than any other thing on the planet, a scent. Layer what you want, when you want, or never at all ;). (You can layer 4 or 5 TF's too) Cha Ching!

juicypearxo

I love this perfume so much, this is my signature scent. Sweet and floral, absolutely amazing. I don't understand all the negative reviews on here. Its got amazing silage and lasting power, I'm in love.

violxttx

OMG. I dont know whats up with this perfume but it made me reek like sweat. It could be the honeysuckle. Way too sharp & sweet at the same time.

Sold it off at a fraction of the price. Thats how bad it was

Chelsey325

One of my first big girl perfumes and my second Jo Malone purchase. I got this right when it came out. I sampled it on my wrist and walked around the mall. I kept smelling my wrist, and it got prettier and prettier as it wore. I was about to leave and literally couldn’t stop smelling my wrist, so I bought a small bottle. This and English Pear were my first bottles of JM and BOTH last very well and project. They are so lovely layered together. If you’re unhappy with lasting power of JM, give these two a try. Signature scent and as other have said, a happy, pretty fragrance.

edelstein42

Got this as a sample from the Jo Malone site; all in all it smells like olives to me. I can't smell the honeysuckle, but I can smell the rose. The rose really brings out the olive-y smell. I've never heard of davana until now, so i'm unsure of how that smells, but this scent is definitely not for me.

Katagood

This perfume was recommended to me after I tried the Mandarin & Something? one at the counter in Malaga Airport and I said I wanted a sexier and more complex scent. I dont know if other reviewers are getting this vibe...
This perfume on me has superb performance. I get a blast of whatever stays on me, Honeysuckle? All I can say is that I get the cilia tickling warm honey-ed blast of a summers morning dew breaking sun streaming white-green alchemy bouquet on opening and it stays.

What I find us that it stays even more on my hair and clothes! It sings falsetto to me all day and all night long! It literally has the same start and finish point in the dry down, just less of it with more of my own body oils introduced.

I smelled a scarf I wore on the day I got this bottle and it was very strong off the scarf even in my wardrobe! Perhaps a bit more of the Moss peaked through on putting it on cloth.
Husband loves when I wear it. I'd describe this as definitely a Chypre scent that stays up in the high tea, fruit burst, white light floral haze! If you could bottle the scent of crisp 100 pound notes and 100 dollar bills in a curt slick edged stack of 10k, this is the smell. "She smells like fresh printed money" I say! I do get the Davana green tea, chypre element, and that reminds me a little of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea with Green Tea being the teenage Sister to the Successful Business Woman who has the house in the Hamptons, yet the location is deeper like wading through knee high grass in a wet tropical forest as the greenery keeps projecting foreward for attention.
This is a scent completely out of my comfort zone but I love it! Its refreshing and energizing amongst a base note bunker of vetivier and musk and forbidden dark things that I tend to love. This one takes me to the Botanical Gardens in a tea dress with a twirling pinstripes parasol and white gloves with Steampumk boots and white frill ankle socks!...I sit and have my tea and the wildlife flock to me to enquire further of my hypnotic yet airy light hearted scent. The only thing in here that my subconscious nose must pick out is the Moss. I'm a sucker for something wet and slightly off smelling, so I must have it doing something to these up high in the air florals that I usually suffocate in and profess "they arent me". Something must have them on a string pulling them down, weighting them, it's an encapsulating weight that I cant put my finger on but I love smelling it.

I've put this scent on to write the review and I can say I love it even more than from memory. It has Special meaning to me from the date it was picked, that occasion, therefore I say its multi use.
Even prior to Sex, I'd feel like a very expensive Prostitute whilst spraying this on the stocking heads, I think my hubby would go home (ok let's pretend) with the scent on him and remember the wild time with the prim and proper Lady who turned into a dark and mysterious dictator boss lady with a hefty stamina and the crack of a bright pea green riding whip across reddened buns! Hee hee. I think the wearer of this needs to be complicated yet balanced, dark yet can walk in the light and have high confidence that really can command the room. This isnt for beginners in the perfume world.

ckorp8

I like this one but got to state that my liking is purely from the smell of the perfume which seems to have nothing whatsoever to do with honeysuckle.

jconwayj

Upon first spray, this completely disappears on my skin– which is a shame, because it’s so much more complex than it appears! I almost get aquatic notes; it’s more dew than nectar, if that makes sense. The davana blooms through after a moment, which is puzzling since it’s listed as a top note...maybe I was overpowered by the honeysuckle at first? As it settles (and again, I could only get this by literally pressing my nose to my wrist; it’s the definition of a skin scent!), it gels together wonderfully into a mossy garden, fresh and green but a bit musky as well. The most apt description I could give is that it smells like the bottom of a wicker basket after a day of gathering honeysuckle. Lovely, but unfortunately not for me.

Peacelovecolorart

This smells nice, but I’m let down because I don’t smell any honeysuckle, and that was my primary motivation for trying this.
It’s warm, powdery, musky and light. A comforting fragrance. It’s not special enough for me to buy a full bottle.

Agnes81

A green and fresh but still creamy and herbal/light spicy opening and a beautiful creamy-sweet, musky dry-down. Not particularly floral for me. Easy to love but not boring. The longevity is fine and projection is around arms length. Perfect for spring and summer. A strong like/almost love for me.

---
Edit: This has really grown into a love. In my 100+ bottle collection this is one I reach for often.

Lisbethtrinh24

Dont know why I get the jasmine scent from this one. Sweet, fresh, charming. It’s flying around you and last on my hair to the next morning xx

marysiaroman

It might be just my chemistry but on me this fragrance is very far from boring or bland. This is an intense and sunny smell. Easy to overspray. Makes me think of a garden in the countryside, after the heavy rain, when the earth, fruit trees full of ripe fruit and flowers evaporate. The lasting power is very good on me.

Steffie32

I very much like this fragrance. It’s sweet, a bit airy, yet has a slight heaviness to it, maybe the honeysuckle? Also I notice an earthy vibe as well (the moss I’m guessing), but in the background.
I know a lot of people have issues with Jo Malone London not being long lasting, and perhaps it’s my body chemistry, but I’ve never actually had a problem with the longevity. This one is no exception.
It seems like it will be delicious to wear in the Spring and Summer, even Autumn. Although a few sprays would be sufficient, as it is very sweet and may be too overwhelming if over sprayed. But I love it!

milkyjoa

I actually quite like this one. I'm not a huge fan of Jo Malone since longevity is almost always an issue, but I almost don't care about that with this one. I definitely get honeysuckle here and something very earthy. Maybe the Davana mixed with moss? It's a calming and simple scent. It's cool and breezy and transports me to a spring morning in the mountains. I just wish it lasted longer than an hour.

Brenda Straznicky

I saw a gift set with this fragrance and four others in it at Ross this week for $85.00.

Bgm_1923

Creamy, warm and spicy aroma. gingerbread cookies, vanilla cream, nutmeg, cardamom, salt and caramel. Very similar to Wood sage & sea salt, but less sweet and vanilla.

NoseE

No honeysuckle, no rose. Davana it is. May be modified by rose and honeysuckle. Sweetish smell. Frankly I dont know how Davana smells, so it may be it. Pass.

cooke.84

I got the Jo Malone cologne gift sampler, and this was one of the five scents. On the first spray, I get some honeysuckle, but it fades really quickly for me, even on clothes. If I hold my shirt up to my nose, it is still there, but not in a strong way. I did layer this one with Peony and Blush Suede cream at the base - it was one of the suggested combos - I will also try with other suggested combinations to see if my opinion changes.

HazelBliss

This is my first Jo Malone fragrance and I’m very pleased. It goes well with body chemistry and lasts a long time on my skin and clothes..which is odd because I’ve read the exact opposite. I don’t even like florals but this one smells more on the creamy side. I’ve gotten many compliments on this fragrance. To me its a happy scent and I always think of brunch with the gals dressed in a white flowy top drinking a mimosa. Lol.

It's one of the more long lasting cologne from Jo Malone, if only all of their colognes were this long lasting. Loud sillage too. Warm floral, but unfortunately I cannot detect much moss (maybe that's just my nose). I like this level of complexity and depth in a fragrance even if it only has few notes. Lovely to wear especially to evening events, dinner, wedding or even if you are the bride - this goes really well with all the flower decorations and bouquet. Day wear is fine too if you are more into floral, but I rarely wear this during the day because it's too hot in where I live. I can also say that this is the more formal Jo Malone scents that I own along with Mimosa & Cardamom, so this can help whenever I need confidence boost.

Sits on my skin just fine, I like how the drydown is still pleasing as it does not change too much, just evolves to something more inoffensive & subtle. Beautiful.

I had smelled this multiple times at the JM counter and never cared for it. I didn't actively not like it, it just didn't even speak to me enough to form an opinion. Flash forward to one day when my roommate whisked by me on her way out for a date, and I stopped in my tracks and thought I'd never smelled a perfume so perfect in my life. After she told me it was H&D, I didn't even need to sample it again, I just immediately bought it.

I've never been a floral person, but something about this scent is so pretty, classy, and flirty all at the same time. I imagine someone wearing this that has her life together, knows what she wants, but is super warm and friendly. It's an easy signature scent that's unique and appropriate for any situation. It can be a little strong at first but it dies down beautifully. It's also the only JM fragrance that lasts FOREVER. I bought it expecting poor longevity and willing to forgive it, but this lasts forever on my skin and especially my clothes. Definitely give this a try!

I really struggle with this perfume: I either love it or hate it: on the bad days I cannot help but be repulsed by what seems to me to be a pee note which on the better days I cannot detect at all. I can only wear it in the winter (in this case I adore it) and it could definitely do with being layered in the warmer months.

Lannafairy94

I don't know if it's just me but this reminds me of hairspray? Anyone else?

It is sweet, sticky, yet fresh like a dawn.
Is so full, warm, golden, happy, it just makes you want to smile.

I don't smell rose at all here, but honeysuckle and davana are really strong. It is such a simple scent, yet perfectly balanced and lovely! I get stopped all the time while wearing it and asked what it is. Someone also said I smell like I stepped straight out of the shower.

I wear it during the summer, and on sunny early autumn days.

ADVANTAGES:
Heavy silage
Surprisingly long lasting

There is a 5 minute initial blast of very pretty honeysuckle and greens, but after that, it could really be any little sugarplum. I agree with others that the dry down smells like Miss Dior or Mon Guerlain, or Demeter Sunshine or whatever.

But for the bait-and-switch, inoffensive. I felt like it was setting me up for this lovely botanical experience up front, but it was all sugar syrup for several hours.

Honeysuckle is one of my favorite scents, so I was really excited to try this one, but I had to wash it off after several hours because I found it so unpleasant. I got a very brief note of honeysuckle at first, but I never got moss or rose, and instead just kept smelling something I can only describe as sharp, bitter, and abrasive that lasts for hours - and this was only from a single spray on my wrist. If I smelled this without knowing what it was, I would think it was a very cheap fragrance and would not be able to pick out any of the notes (I don't even know if I would be able to identify it as "floral"). However, I will note that the fragrance is very long lasting, even persisting after a shower where I tried to scrub it off.

I like Jo Malone’s Frangipani, so when I discovered it was discontinued, I bought out Sephora’s stock. While waiting for the boxes to be wrapped, I tested Honeysuckle and Davana, and fell in love.I left the store but couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I went back a few days later to buy a bottle. It is sweet, yet in a sophisticated way. I can detect Honeysuckle, but it’s fresh, not cloying. It works on a cool winters day as well as a warm spring day. I’m not sure what Davana is, but perhaps that keeps this a light floral rather than a heavy 80s white flower powerhouse. The mossy drydown is very gentle. I don’t smell rose, so it’s interesting to see it there.

For a Jo Malone fragrance, it lasts a long time, in fact, I’m on 7 hours at this time and it’s still lovely. Throw is ok too, I have received compliments wearing this. Funny, all my Frangipani bottles are still packed away but my Honeysuckle and Davana is half gone. I’ll certainly need to repurchase.

Pretty! Love the soft mossy dry down. :))

floralfragrance

Sweet white floral with vanillic moss, the dry down is strongly similar to Miss Dior from 2012. A good alternative for MD admirers that are not happy with the new rosy version🤍

mutmiu

Beautiful sweet honeysuckle opening, then dry-down to a bitterish, mossy-musky base which is not nice for me. Pity.

Lithiumlilly

This instantly brings me back to summer evenings when the wild honeysuckle permeated the air with it's delicious and fleeting scent. This is a subtle fragrance, it has a clean pure and almost fresh feel to it.
It's feminine and girly, but in a wearable way.
it feels a bit vintage, but in the best sense of the word.
I like it...YOu might like it too..

candycanewho

didn't like the dry down

Approximately five years ago I went through a honeysuckle loving phase and I know for a fact that if I had smelt Honeysuckle & Davana at that time in my life, I would have bought a few bottles.

Honeysuckle & Davana is a warm, subtly sweet floral fragrance with a subtle hint of spice. It is quite possibly the strongest Jo Malone fragrance in regards to projection, as I could smell Honeysuckle & Davana emanating strongly from my wrist after only one light spritz.

This fragrance conjures images of sunshine and Spring. It's a very bright fragrance, the type of scent you would wear to a picnic or out in the country-side. Honeysuckle smells golden and sweet to me, whereas Davana is almost herbal, and together they balance each other perfectly.

I tend to have a love-hate relationship with Jo Malone as a brand. Many scents from this house have poor longevity due to their cologne strength and very basic compositions, which leaves much to be desired. Thankfully there are some stand-outs from this brand, and Honeysuckle & Davana is one of them.

This fragrance is available in 30ml, 100ml and a matching scented candle. Although Jo Malone fragrances are designed to be layered, Honeysuckle & Davana is good enough to be worn on its own. If you are partial to layering, however, you could try overlapping this fragrance with Oud & Bergamot or Pomegranate Noir.

On opening, I get a sweet berry-ish note, almost like jelly babies, or those strawberry-and-cream lollies. Barely any honeysuckle and a synthetic/stylised version of it at that. The star, for me, is the clean, fresh mossy base. It lasts FOREVER on fabric -- 48hrs+! Which is a wonderful thing because I think it's beautiful. But there's nothing creamy or heady or pollen-y like you might expect from honeysuckle, and the moss is definitely of the scrubbed clean variety.

How it feels: a grey day but the garden is green and wet. It's the cusp of winter and spring, and I can remember last year's honeysuckle, but can't quite summon the exact scent in my memory. The air is crisp and cool and damp, and slightly sweet with the first bursts of new growth.

EDIT: I layer Demeter Honeysuckle on this and it's heaven. :)

Contessa01

I love honeysuckle in fragrances. When done right there is nothing better. My hands down favorite honeysuckle perfume which isn't just honeysuckle but a beautiful blend is the insanely underrated Juicy Couture Couture Couture. Anyway I really like Honeysuckle and Davana. It is more of a natural green honeysuckle, almost like mixing Demeter Honeysuckle with something like Idylle maybe and a bit of Carnal Flower. I don't know if that's the best explanation but I hope it indicates what the fragrance is like. If you prefer only sweet honeysuckle perfumes you probably won't like this but if you are open to a bit more floral and slight green notes (nothing excessive) to your honeysuckle fragrances then this one is for you.

lucifera

i have to agree with the review below, the scents are lovely but they lack longetivty :-( shame otherwise i would buy it in a heartbeat.

Esraals

I do love everything about this perfume, but I literally hate the fact that it doesn’t last long. I do believe that all Jo Malone perfumes have the same problem which is the longevity and that’s why it’s a waste of money. I hope they work more on this side.

Steleale

Super classy, elegant and feminine, a typical Jo Malone british style. It’s green and flowery, can’t wait to add it to my fragrance wardrobe.

zhuzhu

Not usable on me. The moss at the base isn't stable and turned metallic and bitter even with a very light spray. Very disappointed because the top notes are lovely.

Michelle12345678

Beautiful honeysuckle explosion that dries down to a musky rose.

Update 02/23/2019 The opening to this is gorgeous - honeysuckle and roses. Very bright and sunshiny and uplifting. The base is the musky part that I have more of a problem with, even if I was a floral-type of person.

WildDove

Lovely clean and classy floral. I get honeysuckle with some other flower I can't identify, but I don't pick up the other notes. It would be easy to underrate this one and miss its simple classic beauty and wearability. Honeysuckle Davana is a fine addition to the Jo Malone house of fragrances.

rziotti

I've tested this weekend. For me is very similar with Alien Eau extraordinaire from Mugler.
But I prefer this Jo Malone because the long lasting seems better.
I have the Extraordinaire so I don't think worth's to buy this one, even so I think JM Honeysuckle and Davana is fantastic, wonderful!! I liked so much!!

Tomelise

Smells like cheap shower gel. No mossy note for me. Big disappointment from JM

chance25

I so miss Honeysuckle and Jasmine. It got away just as I realized I needed it. Well this version is more Moss on me than anything else. The opening is honeysuckle for sure and it gets brighter. The scent lifts and it almost feels like an aquatic, but it leaves little traces of a floral background in the air.

The composition has me feeling like I'm wearing a nice hand cream for the majority of the wear time. The moss note is the one that takes over in the end. It smells a little sweet and a lot musky. I'll most likely pass because I know I wouldn't reach for it due to that musky dry down.

sofiebgoode

This is great as long as you don't overspray - it will turn bitter if you do. If sprayed lightly it stays soft and transparent and lets a wet, grassy rose shine through.

It reminds me of some green and slightly bitter classics like AnaÏs AnaÏs, Yves Rocher Magnolia or Chloé Narcisse. It's not the same as any of these, but if you like any of them, chances are you will enjoy Honeysuckle & Davana, too. Unabashedly green-floral and feminine, very nostalgic.

KitKat

Didn't like it at all. It's not a bad scent I would say it blends in nicely as a typical JM but for me, honeysuckle is unbearable as a scent. So sickening. Moderate silage and longevity.

junoMACguff

I loved the honeysuckle in the OG Kate Spade and Marc Jacobs Blush (both from early 2000's and sadly d/c'd), so I had to try this one. Well I don't get honeysuckle, either real or artificial, in this at all. It's quite heady like Twilly d'Hermes but without the awesome gingery spiciness or the sweet tuberose. This almost reminds me of the Giorgio my mother bathed in when I was a kid.

It's definitely a powerful scent with better sillage and longevity than many of the JM's of the non-intense line. But in the end, it's just too screechy and gave me a sinus headache.

genny17

I was curious about that one, so I quickly grabbed a 30 ml on my way to the airport...I am glad I took the time, it is lovely ! It is a warm fresh floral, with a hint of spiciness, and lots of personality too...some of Jo Malone fragrances leave me a bit unimpressed, but Malone never disappoints, and I like Honeysuckle and Davana..it is feminine, warm, and will go well for the fall season..of course the Malone saleslady wanted me to buy a couple more as she said those need to be layered..i don't believe in layering, so I think it is just pretty and projects enough on its own..it makes me think of a freshly harvested field..it has something very natural smelling, a tad earthy without getting woodsy ..I like it..now it isn't really a love, and not the best Jo Malone has to offer in my opinion..yet it spells quality, and smells very nice , kind of a Bottega Veneta a bit...i don't get much rose, and the moss is done in a subtle way...
