I’ve been looking for mimosa fragrances and this one I enjoyed immediately. It’s a powdery, warm, bee pollen like mimosa solifleur. I don’t get much cardamom from it. The dry down keeps the mimosa scent so it's not just tonka bean. It's linear for sure but it's very pleasant and addictive. Can't imagine anyone offended by it so it's safe for office wear too. Unfortunately, like all JM fragrances its longevity and silage is weak and it becomes a skin scent rapidly (does way better sprayed on clothes). All in all, if you’re a mimosa fan, this is a great blind buy.

contristo

Learned that I am not one for a heavy powder or too much of a yellow floral through her, though I wish I loved her she sounds beautiful. A very sharp, crisp, dry scent, like when there’s a super still lake reflection. Even if I don’t vibe with a JM there’s always at least a reliable pleasantness and richness to the formals - used this as a gym scent and she was perf for that

Mhka2004

at first it seemed boring to me, but as I wore it I changed my mind, now I just like it, it's fine, it's a relaxing scent.

Foxglovefollies

I find that with JM scents, and especially with this one, some extra time to age after a couple spritzes does them well in terms of longevity and sillage. I bought a new bottle, fresh and pale in color. Did not like the performance or scent itself. I later bought a small bottle second hand after someone had sprayed it a few times to test. The bottle was thus older and fragrance had a deeper yellow color. That one lasted all day at a very pleasant bubble that wasn't too strong. The scent itself was richer, warmer, sunshiney yellow mimosa flower with some spice. A beautiful fall scent imo. I just finished my small bottle today

MellieW

Initially stronger than other Jo Malone fragrances I've tried but by no means unpleasant. Florals, powder and fresh - sweet off the top. Does fade quickly like the rest, I had to put my nose to my wrist to smell it after about 2-3 hours. Almost no sillage, dries to a generic vanilla amber. Safe for office wear, not matronly or juvenile but somewhere in between. I'll enjoy the sample I bought but won't be buying a full bottle.

ChelleBelle84

Love this scent, but it’s way too sweet and powdery to be a spring/summer scent. It actually makes me nauseous wearing it in warm weather, and the powder in this chokes me as it evaporates off of my skin. So, for me, this is best suited for cool/cold weather.

For a Jo Malone scent, this really packs a wallop. Very strong in the beginning unlike others reporting that that this was weak,. This is with just one spray mind you. It stays around for a long time too. If I do wear in warmer weather I would use just one spray and make sure to spray away from my face.

layyelisee

First of all, I think this fragrance smells amazing. It’s clean yet sweet with a dash of spice. I adore it and the projection is insane. However, it does smell EXACTLY like a red/cherry icee, I’m assuming it’s the mimosa note. Overall it smells amazing and well blended.

davanzo33

Scent is so subjective, but this one is absolutely beautiful to me. My bottle is a few years old, so I can't speak to recent formulation changes, but this is the best mimosa perfume I own. The fragrance is dominated by the sweet, powdery mimosa note; I wouldn't have been able to put my finger on the cardamom exactly without it being on the bottle. The balance of sweet and spicy is perfect - cardamom is a pretty strong scent in my experience and tends to overpower things it's blended with, but successfully takes a back seat here. There's just enough of a dark edge to the dry-down to make the perfume interesting without being overly complex. That said, it's not overly complex and doesn't develop a whole lot once applied.

Broc

OK so I just opened a 100ml bottle I not long ago bought from All Beauty in the UK, it struck me how dark the juice in the bottle is, it's normally pale/white not an amber colour. I don't know if it's been reformulated but it's stronger, cloying, why?! It's drying down now to that beautiful mix of cardamom and mimosa that almost has an almond/heliotrope-like quality on my skin, but I can smell something not as pleasant as I remember in it - consider me unnerved. The opening is wild though, compared to my previous umpteen bottles of this wonderful scent, my initial thoughts were 'what have they done?!' 'Have they attempted to improve longevity by adding some cheap base product to it?!' *angry face*.

I'm not sure what to think here, it resembles the juice I so love but there's a bit of cat pee in there with it...

Lovely246

This smells clean but warm. Very nice! Unfortunately, as with all JM fragrances, the longevity sucks.

GwenH

Mimosa is one of my favourite flowers. Cardamom is one of my favourite spices.
I obviously like the way this smells.

I think what kept my attention the first time I got my nose on it is that I found it to be a more masculine sweet-clean scent that I would way prefer on my partner than my own skin. The initial spray is bright and soapy, but leans well away from musky-fresh.

But, ya, the longevity sucks. Within the first 35 minutes M&C became a skin scent and then a barely detectable bathroom soap frag after the hour mark.

Silverbell

Smells like a soap, exactly like Family Fresh Spring Rain that I used when I was very young. Either that or a honey-scented handwash. Nostalgic. Does it smell bad? No, but it's kind of boring and straight. I barely get any cardamom from this at all. I'm happy I just bought a 5ml sample. If you like smelling out of the shower and inoffensive this is a great scent but don't blind buy this expecting cardamom or something fancy. This is a light skin scent that stays for 3 hours, maybe 4 at absolute best.

Susi.312

I love this fragrance! On my skin, it smells like cardamom spiced honey. It's a little powdery, like pollen floating in the sunlight. It is sweet and lasts about 6-7 hours and all day long on my clothes! This layers well with Bath & Body Works Body Cream in Warm Vanilla Sugar and Ivory Cashmere! 😃 Its the only Jo Malone that really works for me! I love to wear in when the weather is cooler/cold otherwise it is too powdery and headache inducing. But that cardamom in the opening really sings in cool/cold weather!

qianqian

clean and soapy. Unfortunately the performance is typical jo Malone.

afternoir

Another great scent by Jo Malone, only to last a few hours.

This scent in particular brings back memories, which is the main reason why I bought the full bottle without a doubt! However, its extremely weak. The performance itself won't even last enough on my clothes, which is a bummer!

Sophiè de l'Orient

How lovely, this one is a bright, jubilant fragrance! Mimosa is dominating the scenery here, with its mellow, sweet scent while cardamom beats a spicy drum discreetly enough so you can hear it. If sunshine had a scent, that would be it! It dries out sweetly and spiritosily into a spicy powder, like summer sun in golden hour. Works best as a unisex fragrance, though I find it lasts longer in men.

670268-me

This smells like a vanilla scented car air freshener in a not very clean car. The mimosa note is nice, wish it were more pure.

cardamomspice

I barely get cardamom from this. Too sweet and cloying.

toxictorrent

I live in a humid tropical country and this perfume is just *chef's kiss* It performs so wonderfully in the heat and isn't cloying or headache-inducing at all, unlike commonly recommended "hot weather" fragrances I see.

It starts off with a faint spiciness that leans on fresh-smelling to me, followed by a smooth powdery scent from the mimosa. The dry down is warm and heavenly. It stays powdery all throughout but not the typical sweet powdery scent. I don't know what's in this fragrance that makes it work so well on my skin but it smells even better as I go about my day, when I get slightly sweaty. I'm on my 2nd bottle and will continue to repurchase forever. 💛🌸

cyclone1391

This is a gorgeous, clean, quiet luxury scent! I just wish it projected more and that the cardamom lasted longer. I have this layered with blackberry and bay today it's so crisp but also juicy and up lifting. I'm going to get the body cream and see if that helps projection. Can't wait to try layering this with myrrh & Tonka in the fall!

Samasama

This layered over a simplistic oud fragrance creates the most fascinating yellow oud combo.

cheleine

I’ll give this another try during colder months because right now in the summer it’s a bit too much on me.
For some reason my skin amplifies the spices.
I was hoping for an airier vanillic scent (that mimosa-tonka combo) with just a soft touch of that cardamom.
Still, I can see this has potential and I do find it surprisingly beautiful. A very nice offering from Jo Malone, that usually disappoints me.
The performance is also quite good (another surprise) and I’ve received compliments describing this as “expensive smelling” and classy. Fall, come quickly!!!

julianne2508

I have a 100ml to sell, it doesn’t do well with my skin. No boxing I have used a slight amount of the bottle. PM me if interested.

432ParkT

This is my favourite Jo Malone fragrance and one of my favourite fragrances of all time. Despite the cologne formulation I can smell it on myself all day. It is soapy but the Cardamom adds some complexity.

meldloves

It has a great opening on me and I guess that’s why I got it. Then something changes on my skin and it becomes unpleasant, not terribly, but I feel it lightly, I get something like gym smell. I’ve given it many tries, but unfortunately we don’t belong together

flem

The names that they put on these fragrances is very accurate because that’s exactly what this smells like. Most prominently is the mimosa, which gives the whole accord a lotion-y vibe. The cardamom is more like a supporting character. Specifically this comes across as suntan lotion without the typical coconut note. In fact, it’s hard to describe this scent as anything but lotion. It’s like the baseline that all lotion must smell like before they add other scents on top of it. I’m pretty sure that Gold Bond uses this exact formula for their signature scent.

It’s definitely not a bad smell. It’s relaxing in a way, but I just can’t think of many times that I would want to smell like a walking lotion bottle for an extended period of time.

Zethre

Very nice sunny warm mimosa scent, with a hint of warm sweet cardamom at the start - like the cardamom in a cardamonbullar / cardamom bun

apfelix13

My favorite Jo Malone fragrance. I can’t stop smelling it. I feel cozy when I wear it. It is very feminine and would make a great wedding perfume. It dries down somewhat powdery which I absolutely love!

baiba_pukite

This is my love!! On my 2nd bottle, this time the 100 ml! I think it is the perfect signature scent for someone who does not want to overwhelm others with their perfume but wants to be remembered by a scent. Such a sweet, cozy and beautiful, floral-creamy scent! I would not say it is unisex as I think it leans very much to the feminine side. Love this scent!!! And - on my skin it lasts and lasts. I guess it was made for me. :)

naymoz30

i love this fragrance so much, i can't stop smelling it, when i wear this feels like everything is okay and very happy, no worries is strange but is true. is so gentle, cozy, inocent, super feminine, elegant, effortless, unbothered, clean, pure, so soft like clouds :), i don't know how to explain but feels to me like that. i want to purchase the cream also to try to make it last longer i guess because unfortunately doesn't project nor last longer because i like stronger scents but this has my heart forever- signeture scent, i wear it to sleep, to work, date, perfect resort or summer type of scent has a freshness in it ohhh GOD - my favorite- i dont care much about notes in fragraces because i like more how the fragrances make me feel.

J350

I was torn between this and English Pear and Freesia and this was a clear winner when deciding on my next Jo Malone purchase.

Very simple composition but this is perfectly blended and balanced with cardamon, mimosa and tonka bean. The silage might not be the best but still radiates well. The longevity is outstanding! I can see the resemblance with Victoria’s Secret Dream Angels Heavenly albeit, this is more masculine and a more suitable unisex Cologne!

Layer this with JM Mryhh and Tonka!

Zaid Hussein

A truly beautiful, soothing fragrance

amgenus2015

This is a really pleasant sent, but I almost can’t tell what makes it special. I might be a little anosmic to it

chelleholla

Finally! A beautifully feminine without being sickly sweet / juvenile or matronly. This would make a perfect bridal perfume for a garden wedding.

Light, fresh florals that are reminiscent of walking past a hedge of sweet florals on a wet, spring day.

The cardamom doesn’t jump out too much to me, it’s more of a supporting role. Heliotrope lends a pleasant, powdery fluff.

Mademoiselle Rêve

Gentle, feminine, clean, inoffensive, could be a good everyday fragrance especially for spring or summer. Well done. Minus - weak longevity and sillage, probably would have to spray more than I usually do, disappears quickly.

JennB2022

I have a 1 oz. bottle of the JM Mimosa & Cardamom I just bought. The mimosa fragrance just isn’t my thing. I’m willing to swap my Mimosa & Cardamom for possibly another fragrance. PM me if you’re interested.

MrsMRe

One hour of beautiful mimosa and then the cardamom tried to murder me--the driest wood scent I've ever encountered. I should have listened to the JM SA who warned me that it's considered a more "challenging" scent in their line. My chemistry tends to magnify unpleasant base notes, so this might not happen to others, but I would say this is not a safe blind buy. Once the florals float away, it's a different scent entirely.

Marie76

A wonderful concoction. I detect something nutty in it, not just the cardamon, ?hazelnut ?pistachio, also a white flower, or perhaps a very soft yellow rose. This is very, very beautiful, fresh yet warm, and perfectly sweet without falling into gourmand territory.
It's balanced, but it has good enough projection- just not a lot of staying power.

I always have a bottle of this going. Shame they've stopped making the solid perfume version of this, which was great for layering and longevity.

asiu

What an underrated masterpiece! Simple, elegant, intoxicating, addictive summer cloud of beautiful flowers, truly the epitome of femininity. Innocent and tender on a teenager, it transforms into a sleek, minimalistic scent for those in their 30s, 50s, or 70s, a fragrance to accompany one's journey through life. I am not a big fan of cardamom, but it is just beautiful here. I love love love it! It's surprising to me that this fragrance isn't more popular, but I appreciate that it's not a ubiquitous bestseller.

chloanthite

Beautiful scent! Personally, I pick up a very strong cardamom note, which I love. It's warm, floral and comforting. Dries down more powdery. I don't care for other Jo Malone fragrances (besides wood sage and sea salt), but to me, this one smells stunning and so unique.

islandgirlmaranda

Oh, this is lovely. I was so curious about this fragrance...I went and tested it today and bought a bottle. On the paper strip I was not impressed, but my skin test won me over. This lasts for several hours on my skin, although it is a light fragrance. The dry down is soooooo nice. The dry down is my favorite part! I would describe this as a "dry" perfume if that makes any sense. It has a dry, dusty (not in a bad way) note. This is a motherly, cuddly, cozy, comforting fragrance. I see above some people said it smells like VS Heavenly. I would say that is the only thing that is remotely close to this but not anywhere the same. This is way better. Better blended and less harsh. This is so soft, delicate, feminine. This is a very chic and effortless grab in the spring. I could see me wearing this when I want a comfortable cozy scent and want to feel feminine and pretty at the same time. An easy wear to work. I have no idea what mimosa smells like (the flower) but I do know what a mimosa smells like when you're drinking champagne with juice over brunch! And I know what cardamom smells like...but I don't pick up a huge dose of that in the fragrance. And I also don't perceive any tonka. It's so odd. I don't pick up any of the scents as I know them to be, but this is an absolutely beautiful scent. If JM says they're in there, I believe them. Their website mentions cardamon, tonka, sandalwood, heliotrope, and damask rose. I do smell the last 3 there. For sure.

reginasiena

Very elegant Mimosa that lasts long. It's not too sweet and suitable for night event.

sibaraa

A beautiful mimosa fragrance . Very similar to mimosa pour moi by l'artisan parfumeur.

barwench

A lovely mimosa scent to me. I smelled it in store and have not been able to stop thinking about it. I may need to smell it a couple more times before I commit to a travel size.

Zahraa555

Dove soap and cardamom tea. Very beautiful and soft.

MuralGlobe

I like Jo Malone London fragrances a lot because they are so simply linear and fit into a quota. It's simple but simple is what they do best. Mimosa and Cardamom lowkey smells like mimosa and cardamom. The sweetness of the mimosa and bolstered by the cardamom, giving it a vanilla cake vibe. The cardamom, on the other hand, gives it the sort of savoriness you can grasp when you smell foods that use cardamom as a spice when cooking. It's moderately soapy.

Though I love this fragrance, I hate the way it dries down. For me, yellow florals usually dry down into this weird musty mildewy smell when on clothes that really throws me for a loop. I don't know if the cardamom helps but it might even make it worse. It's not just mimosa and cardamom, because there is vanilla somewhere hidden here (hence the cake callback).

Sparkleball22

This smells cute and cuddly but also adult. So addictive. The first Jo Malone I fell for.
It’s comforting like kitties, cabin socks, mom hugs and happy, warm things in a bottle. Something comes in giving an almost snickerdoodle effect - I don’t think this is gourmand but it has a warm floral snickerdoodle vibe? Probably the cardamom spice and tonka bean which is vanillic.
Reactions: “Mmmm you smell good” and “wait WHAT is that??” (Far away gaze as they try to place the scent memory)

Its soft, warm, a tiny powdery sweet. The floral mimosa gives it lift and cheer so it’s not warm heavy, but remains warm light, clean somehow. I can actually wear it in the under 100s part of the summer too because it’s not heavy.
I reach for this much more than my others all throughout the year, especially for social encounters.
**FYI, Dossier and oil perfumery have excellent clones of this. Layering oil and perfume increases longevity remarkably which was my main gripe with the original. Though I do still love it the most!

jakielius

I’m not a huge fan of Jo Malone as a fragrance house but this perfume is lovely. I’m not completely head over heels for it but I am enjoying the scent, though I think I prefer Wood Sage and Sea Salt. It’s very fresh and almost “spa” smelling if that makes sense, but also warm and comforting with a bit of spice. Somehow, it just works. It makes me think of a spa wilderness retreat in the mountains with wildflower meadows and mimosas of course! I’m not sure that’s even a thing, but if it was, I would wear this perfume!

denkamiko

on my skin it s pleasant in the beginning, but turns into something that smells lile pee after an hour, and disappears completely after 4h.
was very excited to try this but it is not for me unfortunately

notnati

A few weeks back I bought a massive amount of Jo Malone decants, I wanted to try them all! One by one, I would get disappointed; as I started to regret my purchase, I stumbled across this one. It was an instant love, along with Nectarine Blossom & Honey. I loved it but I didn't want to splurge on a full bottle as seemed a bit too linear, pretty without personality, but it was so pleasant I just kept coming back; first a decant, then a 30ml bottle, now I'm about to pull a trigger on a 100ml. I really fell in love with it when I wore it during a late summer evening bike ride; it started to get a bit chilly and I could smell it all around me (I did not hold back when spraying it), I kept putting my forearm up to my nose (must have looked odd for fellow bike enjoyers); on my cold skin it was just heavenly. I always knew I love cardamom but I wasn't sure how mimosa smells like; it is such a delicate, sweet, feminine note. I'm not typically into florals, but this one has my heart.

I don't have any problems with longevity, but I do get heavy handed with it.

Edit: I've stormed through the 30ml bottle, finishing it in like 2 months. Every day I grow to appreciate this perfume more and more, and usually it's the other way round for me - I get bored with fragrances very quickly. This scent being simple is what makes it so appealing for me - I reach for it when I'm just out and about, running errands, no special occasion. I don't have to wait 6 hours for the dry down to get good, and it's an issue I have with most of my perfumes. I spray it and immediately it's great, and stays great the whole time I'm wearing it. It's my most used perfume currently. It just smells so pleasant and natural, so versatile too. I appreciate it so much!

PeachPerfume

The title has two of my absolute favorite notes. But something about this did not agree with my body chemistry. The cardamom was non-existent for me, and the mimosa because "any other soft floral" within in just a few minutes. Like many of Jo Malones fragrances (I absolutely love and own English Pear and Wood Sage), this one disappears into nothingness just 1-2 hours after application.

rembulan

This is a love at first sniff. I used to not really enjoy Jo Malone especially their popular fragrances like lime basil or english pear. but boy i was wrong, when i finally visit their store i fell instantly in love with Mimosa & Cardamom. it smells so deliciously good even in a tropical places. this performs a lot better on me than wood sage and sea salt even though i like that cologne too.

Boo1974

There are some key ingrediaents missing from the fragrantic pyramid, and I think that once you know these are present, it forms a fuller picture of this lovely scent. Of course the overriding smells are that of the namesake, mimosa with its powdery sweet floral smell and the fabulous cardamom bringing a spicy aromatic that speaks of Indian subcontinent culture and specically their wonderful desserts! But also in the picture are the sweet vanilla scents of heliotrope, damask (Taif) rose with its slightly tea-like aromas and the warm woodiness of sandalwood. There is a soapy resinous clean quality to this perfume that has echoes in Penhaligon's Castille, and then at other times a champagne quality found in ELDO's Remarkable People. It's a glorious summer / autmn scent which is full of joy.

stinkyhera

warm, comforting, spicy floral. this is really simple and pretty but also unique in a way that people will notice. only have a sample but hoping to get a full bottle as i can def see myself using this for daily wear. as with jo malone, the performance isn't great so i'll probably get the dossier dupe. nice for fall bc of the warmth!

jajakapitan

Men seem to gravitate towards this one when I wear it. I’m always asked what it is - so it must evoke something. A very feminine and playful fragrance. Wear this to the bar for drinks and you’ll be guaranteed to garner some attention via compliments.

Jenla

A very light, sophisticated, elegant scent that could be pulled off at any age.
I bought this for a destination wedding at a castle and I believe it really fit the bill for that scenario! I got compliments galore wearing this and even influenced a friend into buying it for themselves!
I really wish the longevity of it was better, like the other Jo Malone fragrances it doesn’t last longer than about 2 hours before it becomes a super close to the skin scent but that is as expected from a cologne.

This one is interesting but also just not a love for me. I’ll enjoy my 30ml bottle but I don’t see this being a staple in my collection. Something about this on my skin just becomes more powdery and aromatic but not really spicy.

AoiUsagi

This smells familiar, not like another perfume necessarily, but like some sort of quintessential "warm powdery" ideal. It's comforting and cozy to wear. Not crazy exciting or interesting, just a nice classic powdery-spicy blend. I happen to be testing it on a cloudy, cold day, and it perfectly suits my current activity of curling up on the couch with a blanket.

tony5596

Dossier has a dupe of this fragrance called "Spicy Mimosa". It smells exactly like Mimosa & Cardamom. If I smelled both fragrances side by side, I would not be able to tell the difference, or I probably would because Spicy Mimosa has a more powerful sillage in the opening, unlike Mimosa & Cardamom.

I recently sold my bottle of Mimosa & Cardamom because it was disappointing to look at; $144 for barely 2 hours of longevity. I'm disappointed in myself for even spending that much knowing Jo Malone has a reputation for poor performing fragrances and I probably could've gotten it cheaper online lol. Dossier's Spicy Mimosa lasts 4-5 hours on my skin and only cost $29+ shipping & taxes.

If you own Mimosa & Cardamom and it barely last on your skin, definitely try Spicy Mimosa by Dossier. Their fragrances are vegan, cruelty-free, and contains clean ingredients. If you risked paying $144 for Jo Malone, then $29 isn't that great of a risk. And no, I'm not being paid or sponsored to say this. Spicy Mimosa is just that great💛

Cmlake89

This perfume (once settled) smells like a rich, fashionable, fifty year old woman who eats healthy and has an immaculately clean house. Or maybe it smells like French milled soap in a fancy hotel. I like it. Upon first spray the cardamom smells strong of sweaty old man. This eventually softens and harmonizes with the mimosa and heliotrope after about 10 minutes. I don’t get any tonka bean at any point during this fragrance just a very clean musk. This could be a fragrance to wear to brunch with a frenemy because it gives “better than you” vibes. Lol

ChelleBelle84

I’ll start by saying that three notes are missing from the pyramid above. Per the Jo Malone website, they are heliotrope, damask rose, and sandalwood.

Now, I’m going to tell you, smelling this straight from the bottle, you would be wondering how this could possibly smell good on skin. It’s smells unorganized. Like musicians playing a cacophony of noise before an orchestra concert. I was put off by it actually. Upon first spray, you have cardamom front and center. It starts off a little lemony but then settles into a spicy but sweet aroma as mimosas make their entrance. It’s a bit much here but wait, it gets better. As described by the website, the mimosas are honey sweet so you have a lot of sweetness for a little bit until the damask rose comes in to balance it out. Here, it’s all starting to come together and smell like an organized fragrance although it is a bit soapy. Heliotrope comes in for a powdery effect along with tonka adding aspects of almond and vanilla. Sandalwood anchors the composition and gives it a little depth.

I don’t know why people are saying that the longevity is poor, because this lasts all day long on me and I’m in cold air conditioning. Also need to be careful not to overspray because it can be powerful at the beginning and can give you a headache If you’re not careful. This was made to be a skin scent and to be subtle, but people can and will smell it when you come close and be intrigued. You too will get whiffs of it throughout the day.

I really do think this could be worn anytime of year as a classy everyday scent. The dry down is relaxing so I can also see this as a bedtime fragrance as well. One thing I noticed. I’m calm and serene when I wear this.

Siv7Stars

Sweet powdery mimosa very very similar to the Prada Mimosa one. Not feeling the cardamom much, if at all, it's just a fluffy powder bomb on me. I think it's actually a bit sweeter than the Prada if anything. It is lovely but if you already have Infusion then this one is unnecessary. Longevity is great on even dry skin.

dsgnmind

I write my reviews for my own future reference.

I put this on not knowing what it was by mixing it with many other samples and not looking. The opening suggested to me sweet, vanilla, and relatively light but with some background spice or something warm. Compared to others it felt like it was light, and wasn't going to last more than an hour or so. But, it lasted most of the day, reducing to a skin scent that was slightly musky and hint of spicy. I like the scent and consider it unisex, but at moments it does seem to lean feminine. Looking at the notes now, a little powdery element come into play, so either I completely missed that or it is so mellow and well mixed in with the other notes, it doesn't matter. I wish the sillage was larger, and dry down a bit brighter like the opening. Overall a nice scent. May need to revisit again to get another side of this fragrance.

cocolily1

I bought this in 2017 as a gift to myself for my birthday and used it maybe twice before deducing that it is not for me. It didn’t bode well with my skin which likes something with a little more body. Clean scent but quite mature (and not long lasting in my opinion). Gave this away to my mum who finished it in no time

jennniii94

I find Mimosa & Cardamom pleasant on my skin. The spice in the top notes is a tad much for my liking, so I wait a bit for it to settle down. The amount of floral is just enough. The dry down is heaven. Reminds me a bit of baby powder - floral edition. Sweet, powdery, and feminine. The scent is clean, warm and cozy on a hot spring day. I picture myself wearing this with a sundress, biking by the river and buying flowers at the farmers market.

Murmur123123

This is a scent I find hard to describe - it is aromatic, slightly spicy, but also fresh and light at the same time. I can detect the mimosa note which gives off a warm radiance, but unlike some other scents with mimosa in them, Mimosa&Cardamom has no creaminess or thickness in it, but a slight sweetness in the base note.

It is a good choice for spring and crisp autumn days, when you want something a bit uplifting and also warm at the same time. To me it has a "high pitch" so this scent is not something I would wear on a really hot day. Overall an unique scent in my opinion, and lasting power and projection are both decent (or quite good by Jo Malone standard)

RandomPatterned

I'm attempting to get familiar with mimosa as a note. I tested a dabber sample. The cardamom of course stood out initially. It took a couple of hours to dry down into a lightly powdery vanilla which was fine as I like tonka and powdery frags. This does retain warmth from the cardamom and a pleasant aura of the mimosa which makes me want to try more yellow flower forward perfumes. Lasted about 6 hours on me, but mostly as a skin scent.

I forgot I have Guerlain Splendida Iris d'Or which has mimosa and tonka. It's definitely stronger of powder than this Jo Malone frag, and the iris stands out over the mimosa. I need to do a comparison.

Rawanmomani

To me this is my favorite creation of Jo Malone .. This is the best aromatic Cardamom fragrance I have tried so far .. Mimosa is always soapy on my skin, so on my skin this fragrance is an aromatic soapy floral clean fresh cardamom in the best way possible, I really love this scent, definitely getting a bottle of this one soon.

Nursenewbie

To me, this is a slightly soapy, spicy warm floral that really works when oversprayed. I really like it as a fresh out of the shower scent. Today, I layered with English Pear & Freesia and the result was devine! EP&F can be a bit too sharp at times but the warmth from M&C really helps to round everything out. Very very pleasant and pretty long lasting on clothes/hair.

mariae9

A couple of years ago, I heard rumors about my old signature (Roses de Chloé) being discontinued, which sent me down a giant rabbit hole including a serious fragrance shopping problem😄.

Now this... This could be it. This could be home.

It's clean (perfect for daily use) and still a little warm, but not reducing it to cold weather use only. The mimosa smells like sunlight and happiness, and the cardamom adds a lovely coziness. Sillage could be better but it's acceptable for such a lovely smell. Longevity is very OK, but be aware that this is not a beast mode fragrance. You will simply smell like you're living your best life, just doing you :)

maylily11

I smelt this perfume in store and if I had to describe it in one word it would be nostalgic. I could picture it so vividly. It smelt of being on holiday during the summer going out for dinner after spending the day at the pool. the soapiness reminding me of, if you just had a shower to wash off the chlorine and the floral notes are the faint smell of your mother's perfume, all wrapped in a faint humidity. 9/10

SSBurn

Such a. Beautiful scent. I almost get that same vetiver that’s in Chanel Sycomore but I guess it’s the floral and tonka bean blend. This is easily unisex but very beautiful projection. Not offensive just present!! I have to get a bottle of this ASAP!

taragsmellzbomb

Mix this with vanilla woods 🔥🔥🔥

taragsmellzbomb

For me, this lasts on my skin all day. It’s very fresh!

SmellsLikeAdventure

I do not know if I have ever smelled a Mimosa in person so my nose read this is "jasmine" when it is likely Mimosa. Regardless, this opens with a face punch of floral and in short order you are left with a faint tonka bean/vanilla. Very little longevity, no complexity, just another sweet floral. Not even worth finishing out this sample. I found it quite disappointing and not a hint of cardamon to be found.

BellaBrains

I love the scent, but longevity and performance are embarrassing even for a Jo Malone which is notorious for low longevity, performance, and sillage. A body mist from Bath and Body Works has longer longevity than this one. But, the aroma is soooo good that I am willing to put up with this annoyance and spray 50 times a day!

mayamaya80

I love the opening. I get lots of cardamom and spice. I just wish it lasts longer. I do not like the dry down because it gives me a headache sometimes. It becomes really powdery and heavy on the tonka bean that I sometimes do not like but here are times though that I enjoy this. I need to be in the mood to wear this.

tony5596

I had no intention on actually buying a fragrance when i went to the mall lol. But as i was approaching Nordstrom, i had a feeling i was going to walk out of there with something. My choice of fragrance was the only scent i was familiar with from Jo Malone's line, which is Mimosa & Cardamom. The reason why i chose this fragrance was not only because it was the only fragrance i was familiar with, but the last time i smelled it, the scent was burned in my memory because it was so good. This is such a complex scent for a fragrance with such a simple composition. As the name states, you get Mimosa and Cardamom. But there's also Tonka Bean. To my nose, The Cardamom really takes the lead while Mimosa calmly accompanies the Cardamom, and there's a tiny hint of Tonka Bean in the dry down. The best way to describe this scent is a mild summer day in a bottle. When i smell this, i don't think of 90 degree weather, but a sunny 70 degree day, where it's not too cool or its not too warm. It's just perfect. Now the only downside to this fragrance is the very weak to moderate performance and the $140+ price tag lol. The performance was no surprise to me. I was well aware of Jo Malone's reputation for not having the best performing fragrances. I had to think long and hard before making a decision to make that purchase, which is why i went with what i was familiar with. On my skin, i get a solid 3 and a half hours, with a mild projection. This fragrance sits closer to the skin, meaning you'll probably have to overspray to get a decent performance. Now any given day, i would skinny dip in a lake full of alligators before paying $100+ for a not so great performing fragrance. But the scent is so rich and intoxicating, i had to have it in my collection. I've tried looking for dupes, but nothing comes close to the original. Overall, despite the performance, I'm still satisfied with this fragrance. My love for this fragrance remains the same. If you're interested in trying any of Jo Malone's fragrances, i would highly suggest getting a sample first.

Scent: 9/10
Packaging: 7/10
Performance: 4/10

ingeneuxo

-Mimosa notes in all perfumes tend to come across funky to me.
-Thankfully the mimosa becomes rather mild in this particular one, when dried down.
-Lovely scent reminiscent of a spicier version of Jour d'Hermes by Hermes. (-)

Cmlake89

So glad the cardamom only last noticeably for about 20 minutes, it smells like a fresh floral with a twinge of sweaty older man until it goes away. Then you are left with just the soft, sophisticated, floral.

lynn415

I got this to try to replicate my clean white woods but it just isn’t the same. It’s not quite as warm/cozy as the white woods to my nose. It is a very good fall/winter daytime/office scent though, something different than a typical vanilla/amber or floral. It is a bit pricey though, as all Jo Malone’s, so it’s definitely worth trying a decant or sample first!

Aromalie

At best, this scent reminds me of a clear day in the early autumn. I mainly just get the mimosa note. It’s not unpleasant but the person who said it smells a bit like wet wipes was correct. I’m honestly not sure about this. I feel like perhaps I’m too young for it. Yellow florals in general suit mature women better, in my opinion. I was kind of hoping the tonka and cardamom would add some more depth and spice. This is a pretty straightforward and light powdery floral.

gayleflorence

I adore this fragrance and bought a bottle yesterday. I have quirky body chemistry and was surprised that there was no wonky change after the first spray. To me the scent is a bit bohemian. So deep and lovely, but not your usual girly perfume. A good take on modern hippie but with no patchouli! I still smell it on my skin from yesterday, about 18 hours ago. Perfect for late summer going into fall.

violetscout

I smelt something similar to this in my younger years. It's very pleasant and cozy. Lovely scent

maddsienicole

This is a fantastically soapy, clean mimosa. Smells like you just took a shower at a very fancy hotel. The cardamom is not spicy at all on me; just enough presence to give the mimosa some shape. For a non-black-bottle Jo Malone, this one lasts all. day. long. Completely agree with the review that compares it to autumn air as the summer turns (though I never would've thought of it before!) I could see it being a lovely wedding scent.

It's an addiction

@kosmos888: Apparently it has already been removed, so no worries. And to answer: I dó actually own dupes that are spot on and for this one I understood the same. I have a couple of other Jenny Glow fragrances that I can compare to the original Jo Malone's, and can confirm the same. Since Jenny Glow is not listed on Fragrantica and I was searching for reviews on them myself too, I figured it wouldn't harm to list my review here, as long as I made clear what fragrance I was actually talking about.

It's an addiction

As I understood it's a spot-on dupe, I trust to be able to base my review upon the Jenny Glow one. This was straight up chamomile wet butt wipes on my skin. [Sorry] I gave it to a friend and told her she didn't need to be nice and accept it, since I didn't like it either. However, she loved it and was immediately reminded of long summer days abroad, that I hoped to get out of this too. When I smelled her arm, I still could only smell those wet wipes though...

MP_Chance

Wow I am so surprised by the longevity of this one on my skin! Must say I've never noticed my skin holds fragrances for a long time, it's not too oily, I'd say normal skin type. But this cologne is actually the most long lasting fragrance I own. It lasts the whole day and I can still feel it the next morning. And if I wear it on the back of my neck or behind ears, I can still smell it even after shower! That was totally a pleasant surprise, given what I've heard about Jo Malone's longevity. I've tried Mimosa and Cardamom first when visiting Mallorca for the first time couple of years ago, it was a nice warm September. And this perfume always takes me back to those sunny relaxing days filled with joy, love and laughter. I am eager to try mixing this one with some other Jo Malone's colognes.

janevee

This scent makes me think of the cusp of autumn in the Mid-west… when the days are still long and bright but cool… somewhere a bit rural with farmland and open skies. The floral notes are soft and lovely with just a hint of spice that makes it warm and quite lovely. I don’t like it during the warmer months, though, as the spice felt overbearing.

lavenderclouds

Mimosa & Cardamom feels like you're the star of a picturesque Nancy Meyers movie. It's a crisp fall day with cornflower blue skies and you're lounging in your beautiful family room, which is all done up in cream and beige with blush pink suede pillows. You're wearing a cream-colored cashmere co-ord loungewear set. Golden autumnal afternoon sunlight is streaming in through the windows, there's a vase of bright yellow mimosas on the coffee table, and you're sipping a milky cardamom chai. Everything is right in the world.

Pretty, right? And that's exactly how Mimosa & Cardamom feels: pretty and comforting. It opens a little powdery and dry, and then eventually relaxes into a somewhat nutty, somewhat creamy cardamom scent. The cardamom isn't enormously spicy or strong, but it's definitely present enough to be enjoyable. And hovering in the background the whole time are the mimosas: cheerful yellow florals which add a touch of fresh greenery to the milky, powdery cardamom.

People have said that Victoria's Secret Heavenly is a dupe and while Heavenly does share a similar scent profile, I would not call them dupes. Heavenly has a much soapier vibe and is "harsher" (for lack of better word) than Mimosa & Cardamom.

This is the perfect everyday perfume for spring or autumn, for daytime, for work or the office, and for any woman who wants to smell elegant and soft without smelling sugary or girlish. It truly feels like a comforting hug.

adelaidesandrina

this is delicious. smells exactly like my kitchen after i baked some cardamom buns! an extremely realistic cardamom fragrance

DeanaDe

Does anyone know if Mimosa and Cardamom are close to the original Victoria secret eau de parfum Heavenly ? I like Mimosa and Cardamom but the longevity is quite poor on me...

ScarletAnyaBlack

This is spicy and floral. It's a linear perfume but that's good for me because I really like the scent and it's not as common as the others. Like, I love vanilla scents as much as the next one but almost all of my perfumes dry down to the same basic vanilla. Mimosa & Cardamom is a refreshing change. However, I'm a bit scared to try this in an extremely hot temperature because I *think* this has the tendency to smell like body odor, probably because of the spice? Idk. Other than that, this is fabulous. Also my boyfriend likes this on me. 😊

theonlyht

This feels like a cozy cocoon....I agree what others say, it's a quite linear scent. I'm not sure how mimosa smells, but the cardamom is definitely the main accord here. If you enjoy a sweet cozy scent, this is it.

deanedee

It begins spicy because of the cardamom, and grows floral and sweet, and fades to a close skin scent. Stay powdery through the whole time. Smells like the best grandma hug ever and I love it.

Phemia

This review won't be very long. Mimosa & Cardamom is a completely linear, one-dimensional fragrance. I won't dock Jo Malone for linear fragrances because the house recommends "scent pairing" or layering multiple perfumes for a more customized scent, which explains why most of their fragrances are rather singular and less complex than a traditional perfume. However that being said, I can't get past the pure Play-Doh quality this has. It's like a spicy Play-Doh or a shoe store. There's no nuance. It smells synthetic. There's a hint of mimosa, a little spiciness from the cardamom but it ends there. I wish I could say it dries down to something beautiful, but it doesn't. It just gets slightly less Play-Doh. Doesn't last long and sillage isn't great either (which I find for most JM fragrances). I like other Jo Malone scents, but this one isn't it for me.

ekowala7

This fragrance is an enigma for me. Two of my favourite notes are tonka and cardamom, but I wouldn't thank you for a yellow floral. However, I really like this fragrance. This is warm, airy, soft, light and youthful. This reminds me of walking through a field of flowers swaying in the sunshine, a cool breeze musing through your hair, through a soft linen dress, all which drinking a chai.

Longevity is one of the best from the JM white line, 4-5 hours on the skin, silage is moderate.

Overall 7/10, not FB worthy but happy to have a little bit of it in my collection.

GiareDiLuce

Mimosa & Cardamom pretty much smells like what it's named after. It is that simple. To my nose and on my skin, it leans more towards the cardamom side though: like you're in a room and you just cut a seed, and there's a bouquet of mimosas in the next room. It's spicy, a bit dry. I wish the mimosa was more prominent to make it a bit softer. Longevity is good for a Jo Malone cologne.

judith.l.ampatuan

Comfortable orangey-cardamom, powdery scent.

Think of an airy zen room with blush pink throw pillows.
An all-day perfume. Won't last that long all day on skin but lasts longer on your clothes though.

kandykiller

My calm scent idk about anyone else but I love alot a different styles for different moods im in& for what almost like clothes ....when it comes to the world of fragrance & this one is calm& soothing, peaceful just nice,l like it for those days,I get alot of compliments, not that I'm looking 4vone,but thankful when someone compliments me♡ nice& gentle~☆~

Ilaria83

Prevale la mimosa: dolce, delicata, davvero piacevole! È un profumo che evoca la primavera. Non dura molto, bisogna abbondare con le vaporizzazioni.

samosbabos

Simple but peaceful composition. A relaxing, realistic mimosa with some greeness with it and little bit of spiciness from cardamom.

Performance is below average but this is not a bad thing for me. If this performed stonger, then it could spoil its naturalness and become uncomfortable.

Lastly, it is unisex because sweetness is balanced very well and mimosa is a unisex floral note in my opinion.I really enjoyed this one, i will look for better mimosa based perfumes in the future ...

hsiangchi.huang

So simple, yet so INCREDIBLE!

It's earthy, woody, like some kind of dark green grass (moss or vetiver). The mimosa adds a bright and exotic twist to it. Reminds me of lying on a field of soft grass under the moonlight, with a few mimosa blooming next to me - it's just so tranquil.

It's definitely unisex and versatile. I can imagine wearing it to work, to outings, and to bed. It's such a calming scent that can't disturb nobody. Also it gives a mature classy British vibe.

deanedee

I was searching for fragrances at the Jo Malone counter, and this one really stood one to me. It is an easy, cozy and comforting scent that I would want to make my signature daily scent. Very warm and universally pleasing. Will definitely purchase as soon as I can.

QueenieIrenie

This is easily one of my favorite perfumes! Comforting, warm, clean, but still elegant. Projection is fairly low, longevity is moderate but I find it to be one of the better performing Jo Malone fragrances on my skin. It’s a great scent for fall and winter but I’ve worn it in spring and summer as well, just not as frequently as in colder months. I would consider this more of a daytime scent because it’s on the lighter side, but it can work for night too because of its warmth from the cardamom. I, myself, have worn this on more casual evenings. This is a beautiful, versatile warm floral!

Vitodito

Oh gosh this is so pretty!

Such a refined and elegant scent, so clean and sexy.

Takes me to a beautiful sunny day in Mallorca around May-June. Top quality and one of the few Jo’s long lasting perfumes.

Leans sliiightly feminine but hey, we’re in 2021 :-)

Fleurie20

Mimosa & Cardamom is definitely a linear mimosa on me. Gently sweet and powdery. Slightly warm and comforting. Staying power and longevity is so-so - one would expect better performance from a more expensive perfume house like Jo Malone, but I'm not mad.

I have never smelled cardamom irl so I had to read its odor profile to get a general idea, "A sweet resinous aromatic and spicy note with a bitter aftertaste." Hmm, the fragrance leaves no spiciness, bitterness or aquatic notes on me, just straight up mimosa.

A like, not a love. Beautiful but nothing groundbreaking. Glad that I purchased a 30ml bottle.

Bint_Brooks

Nice scent... However, it doesn’t last long. I attempted to over spray and became nauseous; and it still disappeared in about 5 hours. I’m sticking to the intense line. This fragrance house is too expensive for short lived fragrances!

Julie_cutie

Definitely my favorite scent from Jo Malone. It's not too sweet but creamy and well-blended. This fragrance is simple yet beautiful smell. Love it!

BerryRose

Mimosa & Cardamom is warm, spicy, and autumnal. It has a very simple composition: a spicy cardamom top note, a mimosa heart note with a touch of rose and heliotrope, on a base of tonka bean with a little sandalwood.

JM encourages combining their fragrances to make them either warmer of fresher, and a pairing they recommend is Mimosa & Cardamom with the green and fruity Blackberry & Bay. The result is that the key elements of both become entwined, creating a spicy, fruity autumnal fragrance. To me it’s reminiscent of an autumn baked good without actually being gourmand.

Mimosa & Cardamom could work perfectly as a fragrance for the Christmas holidays on its own, but it also combines beautifully with JM's Orange Bitters. The warm spiciness of it is a natural fit to layer with a scent inspired by a citrusy winter cocktail.

Wwoman

Disappointed - I love cardamom in fragrances and I was really hoping that this would have a nice, spicy backbone to it. On me, that just doesn't happen. It is very light to begin with, fades to a skin scent fast, and all I smell is the mimosa. I would rate this as not a good blind buy. Test first, especially if you are hoping for a significant cardamom note.

IreneF

I finally got ahold of a small bottle of this and I was so exited to try it! I found it to be rank, foul, cloying swill. I immediately gave it to my daughter, who hasn’t given me any feedback.

I know I hate vanilla, and I’m pretty sure I hate civet. Something changed when I was pregnant, and I found former loves (vanilla, white chocolate) became intolerable. But what’s going on here?

I examined the notes in scents I like vs. those I don’t, and discovered a commonality: tonka. Tonka smells to me like I’m being suffocated by something that should have been discarded a few decades ago.

It’s obviously me, and not the cologne.

skimaster

I think this is an interesting blend of different impressions, yet it is rather mellow. In a way it is warm and earthy, but also fresh and clean. Comforting but original.

I think it smells like you took a good shower with a proper scrub (fresh, clean), then put on some quite basic but nice smelling body lotion (the milky, comforting vibe), picked yourself a soft, loose, dark-colored cashmere blouse (the warm) and then filled your cup with a cardamom-y chai latte. All this, however, without any of the ingredients clashing or overpowering the other, but naturally blending in together.

This scent definitely gives a very stable and trustworthy impression, projecting good taste, good manners and discretion.

FabulouslyLazy

I thought I would have loved it but I've come to the conclusion that independently from season and weather, Mimosa & Cardamom turns sour* on my skin. Too bad this happens. I'm so sad it took me almost one year to write a review. I'm wondering if it's a matter of batch code or something. Got mine at Stansted Airport at Jo Malone's corner. Seriously heartbroken!

*By sour I mean a strange sensation, the scent doesn't become cozy and powdery, it turns harsh. Also on clothes, it's totally different from the samples I could test. I'm saying it again: HEARTBROKEN 💔

ladyofwinter

p o w d e r y

It is floral, sweet, powdery but fresh. Strong mimosa, broken with the spice. A scent of an independent, successful woman; but also enveloping and comforting at the same time.

Perfect for summer evenings and warm autumn days.

Many Jo Malone fragrances have poor longevity and silage due to them being a cologne, and very basic compositions, which is disappointing. Fortunately, this brand has several outstanding fragrances, and Mimosa & Cardamom is one of them.

Naomie

For some weird reason I kept ignoring this brand, then bottle wasn’t fancy enough and I didn’t think it could do any spell on me whatsoever. Today I was super bored and I thought I give it a go, smell them see how they’re like .. most of them are not more cup of tea tbh, but 3 stood out for me and I’ve got the one I liked the most and it was the mimosa and cardamom! Real summery, beach vibes all the way without the usual coconut note! Love it, fresh, classy, I smell amazing and it last for ages! Very unusual and very stylish, definitely in my top 4! The other 2 I liked was the earl grey and cucumber, and if someone is looking for a sweeter version poppy barley is amazing too!

ladyarizel

Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom is simple, warm and dry. A little powdery. I think it's better to layer this with another Jo Malone. I'm not a fan to mix and match.

It only lasts 4 hours on me before it becomes a light skin scent.

Will I repurchase? no.

eilouise

Loved the sample. So I purchased a full bottle, and I started disliking it almost instantaneously.

It's too powdery and sharp on skin. Comes with the infamous longevity problem that almost all Jo Malone perfume has.

pleasuretoburn

How all of these notes get together and turn sour is beyond me, but dang do they manage to do it! I have tested many JM scents over the past few years, and they all smell like some variation of air freshener or fancy hand soap. They aren't usually offensive, just boring, like upscale BBW for fancy moms who shop on HSN a lot. (I am not taking a dig at Jo Malone fans, but that is just the image in my head of the person they're made for.) As a lotion, most JM fragrances are dandy, and I have had much more pleasurable experiences with JM body products. Anyway. I wouldn't even touch a Cardamom & Mimosa lotion because this just turns so rank on me it is almost incredible. Separately, I adore cardamom and mimosa, but together... yikes. JM usually leaves me unimpressed, so I suppose I am impressed by how much I dislike this? So that's a win, after a fashion. I wouldn't buy this, but it was a valuable learning experience.

modernwarpaint

I sprayed this on at the JM counter, walked around the mall (pre-COVID) and trying clothes on in the dressing room at H&M.

I smelled like BO and just gross gross gross.

Never again.

Let me preface that I had deodorant on and I wasn't sweating profusely.

The cardamom just turned sour on me very fast. I have 2 other scents that are marketed with a cardamom note: Tom Ford Soleil Blanc and Diptyque Eau Duelle, and I love both.

I'm now thinking it's the mimosa and cardamom blended, as cardamom normally has a tendency to become a body odor type scent on certain skin.

I skipped enjoying this one altogether; it's linear, boring, and doesn't work for me.

JM frags that do work on me: Wild Bluebell, Poppy & Barley, sometimes Blackberry & Bay, Myrrh & Tonka

Marie76

This is a cosy, intimate scent. Close to the skin. Warm and comfortable, yet light, like a lazy summer afternoon, lazying under the mimosa tree. I'm surprised the cardamon doesn't project in some of the reviewers here, because in me its quite strong, which I like as I think it carries the perfume into the "evening" category quite nicely. I like both the spray and the solid perfume, but I think the powdery, old fashioned quality that it has suits the solid perfume base really well.

LightOfJoy

This smells just like Victoria's Secret Heavenly, which lasts longer and is less expensive.

jytong

I find Mimosa & Cardamom by Jo Malone particularly comforting in cooler weather or rainy days. On my skin the scent is predominantly powdery with hints of green and tonka, however, I don’t detect much Cardamom, just mostly Mimosa. If you enjoy a soft powdery green scent, this would be a good choice. I really enjoy having this in my collection.

EMIV

I ended up buying this after reading that it smells 'yellow'. I agree, its a sunny smell, more of a sunflower yellow than a bright one.

Powdery, warm, with some fresh spicyness. not cloying, not heavy, just, really lovely.

Its comforting, and long lasting. Since it is jo malone, it is light, and I do think you can get away with wearing it in summer (but it is heavier than most jo malones, so don't do it during a heatwave), but I really look forward to wearing this in fall and winter, can't wait to see if, and how much, it shines.

I agree it is vanilla-ish, but as someone who dislikes vanilla, I think this is the tonka bean, and actually very nice, its what makes it smell so warm and cozy.

A scent that you just want to hug, and hopefully, once I'm able to have people nearby again -keep your distance, be social-, it will have the same effect on others. Till then, I probably shouldn't tempt them by wearing it

KittyDeBeauvoir

May I have your attention, please?

Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom is an underrated beauty.

I first smelt this in a sample after I bought "Wood Sage & Sea Salt" (want another Jo Malone winner?), and low-key loved it - but couldn't justify buying it straight away.

Then some months passed.

And I couldn't abandon her. Couldn't get her out of my head. She lingered with her intoxicating light, sweet, *ELEGANT*, extremely pretty mimosa, and her deeper, more sensual cardamom.
So. I do what I generally do with JM scents: I break.
Now she is mine, and wearing her is 10-fold better than sampling her occasionally.
I was further convinced of my genius purchasing skills when I waltzed by a colleague (after walking through several rooms and doors beforehand), and they stopped me, asked what perfume I was wearing, sighed, and repeatedly said, "It smells so good!".

That's the kind of joy I bestow on the world, people.

I want to thank my partners in crime; Mimosa and Cardamom.

They deserve all the prizes.

Kitty rating: 10/10!

~Compliment Counter~: 2 compliments 😁😁

fyetan

Simple, linear mimosa. Sillage is low and longevity is about 2.5 hours.

Jmalone84

I just can’t get enough of this smell. I must have sampled the entire duty free fragrance department at the airport, stopping at some of the best including Alexander McQueen (gorgeous). However the only fragrance I could be certain I wanted was this as the scent of cardomom I think is my true olfactory preference. The fresh green zingy spicy aroma coupled with the lush dewy white floral notes are both uplifting, wrist sniffingly good and calming. The mimosa is not overly powdery as I have sometimes experienced with mimosa fragrances, but beautifully accompanies the cardomom.

The projection is pretty good for a Jo Malone fragrance, it suits me quite well. I would say the sillage does fade a bit within the hour but the overall longevity is quite long lasting, it stays with you gently throughout the day. The only thing I regret is not getting the large bottle- I intend to compensate for this by purchasing the lotion on my flight back.

I absolutely love this and would definitely recommend.

chipsotoole

phrarggh! can"t really see how anyway in the world this in a unisex fragrance. I"m a 53 year old guy and bought a used 30ml bottle as some of the young buck metrosexual males online experts out there said it was a daring choice. Maybe they are right, but daring in the " I want to smell sickly sweet of many flowers for far longer than I expected" way... The dry down didn't"t improve much though the sillage was longer than most JL products.
Perhaps it's me and my skin but I"m staying away from flowers and especially all things tonka for the foreseeable future.
I'm recently in into JM products, ( I've given away most of my colognes to my teenage son to experiment with) precisely for their apparent LACK of longevity.
I want to spray up/layer, have the initial blast and just have the slightest notion during the day that these delicate, complex (and certainly original) scents stay with me. I spend way to much time in the public domain (I"m an adult teacher) to be radiating out uber masculinity.
I've put together a small selection of most of the other "male/unisex JM scents in the line (minus the intense range) and am very much enjoying the experimenting. The English oak and Hazelnut getting the biggest thumbs up.... This one however is going to my wife .

Albiretu

This one is so pretty and clean. I think it's a bit more feminine than masculine, although of course everyone could enjoy this. It's very simple and well-balanced. The notes obviously speak for themselves and the name of the fragrance does too — this pairing is absolutely perfect. It is very fresh and clean, almost laundry like, but very unique because of the unusual pairing. Love this.

natasha.wahyudihardjo

This scent envelopes me in warmth and comfort. It gives you the feeling of coming home to the embrace of your mom or the sweet kiss of your lover. I'd wear this on rainy or cold days with cashmere sweater while sipping cinnamon drinks.

Definitely something that can be appreciated by mature people, probably someone 25 years old and above.

Harold-Meissner

This is my signature scent. I can easily see how another man might find this one too feminine, but I don’t care. I bought a bottle of this because it makes me happy and calm. It’s so natural that I feel like I’ve smelled it naturally occur in nature. I can picture this heavenly scent come drifting though on a light breeze in a cute quaint beach town. Its the perfect spring scent! I consider all jo Malone fragrances a bit pricy but mimosa and cardamom is well worth it. I ordered from the online store and its packaging seemed sloppy. It’s deffinently worth looking for at a after market supplier if you get the right price.

aaronmilic

I have lots of niche fragrances and this is the only scent when I put it on, I'm instantly happy. Came across this by accident as someone threw a sample in when I bought some other Jo Malone. This fragrance is so smooth compared to most of the others I have. Also lasts a decent time for a cologne. My day just gets better as soon as I put this on. Definitely a Spring/Summer scent for me.

sibaraa

A dupe to vs dream angel heavenly.

pois

There are far more notes here than the mimosa-cardamom-tonka mentioned on this listing. The Jo Malone site adds as well sandalwood and heliotrope and Damask rose. The rose I do not notice, but the sandalwood and heliotrope are indeed there.

I love mimosa flowers, every year in season I have to go for a walk and revel in it, and must have a jar of mimosas in the house (a small branch can perfume the whole room or even house). This perfume is at the same time truthful to the mimosa scent but deeper. Really lovely.

KingPabou

This was my first signature, and just like my first love it wasn't meant to be. The scent itself is very pleasant and linear, inoffensive yet unique, a fluffy golden blanket. It's tamed spice, and on some golden afternoons I get a perfect balance of warm and sweet but other days I get the bitter end of the olfactory spectrum, namely some burnt cardamom. The sillage also was a rather sad let-down, although I should have expected it as I usually don't go for anything less potent than eau de parfum as my skin doesn't hold perfume very well. Should have known it from the start. I owned my bottle for about 5 months; I sampled it in Myers in late 2016 and bought a 30ml in late 2017, and unfortunately in that window of time associated it with some memories that are quite frankly, rather painful, and so I sold it in early 2018. Which is an absolute shame as this perfume has received for me the most compliments; I feel like it represented me the best, soul and body, and everything aligned in those bittersweet months: my physical appearance, my inner self, and my scent. I still think about getting it again someday; I still go to Myers for this scent specifically to get my hit of nostalgia. Perhaps in a few years when I'm fully healed.

aqua76239

This opens up with teensy bit of green notes(even technically its not there), then almost immediately it gets into spicy cardamom, mixed with florals. Its not until the drydown that you get to smell the tonka which gives it sort of powdery feeling. I dont think it smells like Heavenly by VS until possible the drydown.
I smelled it several times actually before buying a small bottle. There is some sort of memory in this scent for me and i can't quite put a finger on it. I think it reminds me of something my mom wore and thats why it feels comforting to me. I dont see this as "going out in the evening" scent-this is more of chilling with a movie at home thing. Its floral but it has bit of spice that i like.
I can see myself wearing it quite a bit at home actually-its like Bvlgari Femme-i love that fragrance but i usually wear it at home because it reminds me of some of the best times of my life. Neither one of those is a sexy scent for me.
One thing i always have complaints with is Jo Malone weak lasting power and price. Its 68 dollars for small bottle. And even layered with creme(which SA gave me a sample of), it only lasted maybe 2-3 hours. So price is crazy for what it is which is cologne. I wish Jo Malone would do edt version
UPDATE I finally figured out what its reminding me off-Aimez Moi by Caron which is one of my all time favorites and which was discontinued and hard to find at this point. I am well aware that it doesn't have same notes and Aimez Moi hits you with anise upside the head initially but it really really close to my nose how the middle and bottom notes smell in both. I am thrilled actually to find another fragrance that is so close to my beloved Aimez Moi. Hope Jo Malone doesn't discontinues it .

Shanel2448

I have discovered the Jo Malone perfumes do not last long at all
With almost zero projection! I’m also not a fan of floral but this one
Is absolutely stunning!! I’m going to say it’s one of my top 10 easily!
Very cozy , Fresh excellent spring/summer scent!

Fragrant.regard

This fragrance keeps me calm. It’s not stunning, but comforting. Perfect for a pillow on a rainy day with a book.

Unfortunately, the toppy cardamom is fleeting to nonexistent. The mimosa is creamy, milky, and tonka waxy; sadly minus the green elements of the fresh flower. Metallic muguet notes work well atop some slight violet leaf, cucumber undertones. The heliotrope dry down pairs well with the tonka, vanillic sweetness.

Overall, it’s not worth the price, but, if you must, it will warm you up when you don’t know what to wear.

PricklyAndHot

I feel more cardamom than any mimosa.

msdespondent

I bought a full bottle of this after testing it on my arm for a day. Mimosa & Cardamom really surprised me. The opening to this is floral and milky, probably from the mimosa top note. After a half hour or so, it settles into a full-bodied Cardamom, green and spicy. The Tonka bean peeps out. But I love the drydown, after about 2 hours, when the Tonka bean finally appears. Vanilla and spice.

sibaraa

This is an exact dupe to Dream angel heavenly by VS.

comfortablynumb83

I find nothing grandma-like in this fragrance. I'm 34 and I adore this fragrance! I will start by saying that I LOVE the warm/fresh spicy feel to this scent. It is also aromatic/clean floral at the same time. This one is kind of difficult to describe, but, that is one of the reasons I love it. If I were forced to try to describe it, I would say that it is a crisp & clean floral. The floral freshness almost hints at the smell of lavender, but it isn't. This has that same fresh spicy vibe to it that Mon Guerlain does in my opinion. They don't smell alike, but if you've smelled MG(my all time fav) then you know what I mean. Closing my eyes, I imagine a bright cloudless blue sky but with a bit of wind, while laying in a patch of mimosa with the freshly washed sheets aroma softly lingering nearby. I find this to be truly unisex. Anyone can wear this and it is not offensive so it can be worn nearly anywhere.
I have become a Jo Malone Fangirl after this being my 4th Jo Malone bottle and I have loved every single one, but this one along with Redcurrant and Cream, have made me want everything by Jo Malone. :)

kathdecastro.1

This is the only Jo Malone scent that I love the most.

Souix

This was a huge disappointment.

It smells like 1960’s grandma red lipstick. Really atrocious to me. If anyone remembers what Jergens hand lotion smelled like it sort of has that almond edge. Just awful to me.

I have ever smelled mimosa flowers that smell like this stuff.

MaryushaMTL

The trick with Jo Malone is you have to spend some time testing them as at first most seem lovely, but you need to spray on your skin and on a paper....walk around, take the paper home, and see how you feel about it in a few hours or even the next day. I sampled so so many which I was ready to buy at the store, but after the "test period" glad I didn't. For the price you pay for Jo Malone....you need to invest your time before making a decision.

This one is lovely. Mimosa is very present...more so than cardamom. I would even say that I don't smell any cardamom at all, but the scent has that "edge", which I guess is given by the cardamom. The scent is not sweet, it is warm, powdery, very cozy. I would put it in the Donna Karan Cashmere Mist category....if you like that sort of smell, you will like this one. But Cashmere Mist eventually turns into a powdery old lady scent, whereas Mimosa and Cardamom stays fresh and powdery without smelling like grandma. Yes there is that element of "clean" that many reviewers have pointed out. Clean, fresh, powdery goodness. And it seems to last longer than many Jo Malones. I don't think this one is unisex, it is definitely on the feminine side for me.

Bubbly Fizz

What does this scent compare to?

Bubbles1964

Im not a fan of Jo Malone... but I love mimosa and like this fragrance. Over the years I have sampled many of JM's scents, and my two issues were always longevity and depth. Being a company that makes mostly colognes, it's to be expected. I just never thought the price tag warranted the purchase.

Mimosa & Cardamon is one dimensional so it's a perfect scent for layering. I think it's really comforting and easy to wear. Longevity is better than average for this house - I get about 1.5 hrs then it's gone (no trace of it is left). I don't think my 30ml bottle is going to make it through the summer though, and regret not spending extra for the larger size. This one is fleeting but it's so pretty!

*Edit I wore this yesterday in early summer, and the scent stayed with me for an impressive 6+ hours. My husband came home after work and commented that he liked it when he got within a few feet. So this one works best in warm weather on me. Really happy to have discovered this scent. It's an easy one to love.

Mooniq

I do love Mimosa and here I find the Mimosa to be dominant in a lovely way. Just a touch of Cardamom and Tonka makes the Mimosa shine almost alone. I love Summer by Kenzo - they are not alike - but the note of Mimosa is dominant in both scents in a really good way. A scent for springtime, I think.

Julia-Gayle

Meh. I usually love Jo Malone but this so, so underwhelming. It is like VS Angel and Guerlain's Champs Elysees. It is a pleasant, fairly bland floral but just not enough of...something. Dimension? Warmth? I was hoping to get some of the cardamom or tonka bean but it is just mimosa. Hmmmmm... I don't even like mimosa for brunch.

DBF85

Love Love Love!

One of Jo Malone scents that are wearable by itself.

I live, eat, breath Cardamom so this is a real blessing for my nose and mind. Very relaxing and fresh scent.

Adds a warm twist when mixed with other perfumes.

Amazing.

efox

very mimosa heavy on me and that is good as I like this note. But perhaps not best to chance it as blind buy. On similar vibe to Poeme by Lancome but where Poeme is nostalgic and powdery, Mimosa & Cardamom is playful, spicy and more wearable. This is an all-year-round perfume, in my opinion, and also suitable for any occasion, although I was more inclined to reach for it in summer days and early autumn. Newer Malone perfumes tend to have poor longevity & silage on me but this one is an exception and lasts 4-6 hours on me. I will be repurchasing in the future.

meg0825

Mimosa & Cardamom is a very lovely fragrance which in my opinion, smells almost identical to Victoria's Secret Heavenly. Jo Malone is little spicier and soapier though. They both have cardamom, powdery notes, and rich and creamy sandalwood. Heliotrope and sandalwood are not listed above, but are definitely there. They are both very gentle, sweet, woody fragrances. Heavenly is a little less expensive, so if you're curious, give it a try and see for yourself.

Lucille29

I love this, almost too much that is has caused more buying, such as the candle, the body cream and a 100ml bottle after I went through the 30ml rather quickly.

This is so creamy, soft, sophisticatedly sweet and I feel it has that summery feel to it, although I wear this in winter and summer and in between. It is beautiful.

This does last well on me, I can smell it after a day at work but it stays close. I love to pair this with the wood sage and sea salt by Jo Malone to make it warmer. I pair it with Tonka and Myrrh for a deeper night time scent. On its own or layered a top favourite.

liltyson19

This smells good on both women and men. The first time I smelled it a man was wearing it and I never forgot how wonderful he smelled. I then went to the store and tried it on me. This fragrance is enrapturing. When I smell it I am immediately transported to Europe. There is something special and mystical about this scent. As I said, both men and women can wear it and when people smell you it is unforgettable.

Lishypants

Reminds me of Hermes Jardin apres la mousson but more potent.

Anyway this is woody and sweet, and projecting af rn. The cardomon could be more intense. I like this but think it might be a bit too sickly sweet durting Christmas in Australia - starting to get a BO vibe from the dank spicy floral :P

There is a woody/ ceder elent missing from the table above - unless I am totalty misinterpreting the tonka note. I want to investigate further...

Perfect for those in the medical industry that have to lean into ppl. Very comforting, brings a smile to one's face. Another compliment getter

beatrix75

My love my dear my beautiful all time favourite. It is creamy floraly and feminine 100/ worth the price for the big sizes, sometimes I used together with orange blossom and it's so much yammyyy !! My regards to Jo Malone for her ideas and her job

Emma0714

I don't get spicy from this at all, I get a soapy, crisp "yellow" scent, that feels like a warm summer breeze. I wanna stand in a sunflower field with the last rays of August sun in my back, dancing and playing First Aid Kit songs on an acoustic guitar.

champdefleurs

This Mimosa and Cardamom is my signature perfume. I prepaired perfume with Cream, too.
This perfume is not dizzy like when you spray chemical(factory) perfume. Clean and very divertic attractive scent. I think "scent" is another making "communication" with other people and it's like fashion- clothing, grooming... to express myself.
It is important i choose right perfume for me, but it is most important to enjoy the scent.
I'm sure this m&c is my center perfume.
*I combine with another scent(it is secret! ), also make more maximalize image and very fancy. I luv it.

katemax

I tried this in jo malone york, my husband was in high spirits and said I could have one but I said no because I couldn't justify him spending so much when I have loads of perfumes. I kept sniffing my wrist and loved the soapy warm cardomon scent so much. I ended up perfume parlouring it (which turns out is a really good copy)

ANNAFRYS

A very comforting... delicate unique formula.
The dry down is my fav, if I woudnt know Salt and sage - this one would be my number one.
Thinking about buying it soon.
Beautifull :) <3 <3

Cams

Delicious, feminine and comforting. This is by far the most delightful Jo Malone on my skin. It lasts all day on me and draws instant compliments. I was in a meeting this morning wearing this beauty and someone beside me leaned in for a long sniff. My favourite combination is with Tonka and Myrrh.

sarandy

Mimosa & Cardamom is my favourite scent of Jo Malone. it makes me feel warm and safe. I love wearing it in rainy day, but it is a disaster to wear it in hot summer.

joe70062

My mother received a nearly empty bottle from a friend. I was lucky enough to sample and promptly fell in love. I'm not a floral kind of girl, I wear more incense based perfumes. This is clean and wearable without being that typical shower fresh we've been bored to death with. Make no mistake, it's a floral. It's just not so much that you smell like a whole garden. Simple, clean, and pleasant. No sharp edges. I loved it so much, I took my mom's bottle! So now I'm a thief, but a great smelling one. Sorry not sorry.

polly golightly

Floffles

This is such a spring day scent, driving through the country side in CA with the hills lined in wild mustard. Its bright and clean, but on me not so sweet. But my skin does that to most perfumes. I don't get a masculine vibe at all. If my husband wore this I would think he was probably also wearing my panties...

Whit

Member dannysmom had sent me a sample of this in 2015 for me to sample. Thank you again! :) I was somewhat dismissive of this because of all the mimosa in it. I mean, it's a mimosa bomb! So, I tucked away my sample and thought "Meh, it's ok, but I don't think it's for me."

Fast forward to present day. I was going through my samples and found this one. I thought I'd spray it on me and retry it now that the weather is warmer. Wow, the temp does make a difference with this one! I still get the mimosa, but now I can smell the spiciness of the cardamom and the warm tonka. After it settles, it becomes sweeter on me. I can totally relate now to everyone saying it's a comfort scent; it really is! This definitely works better on days that are a bit warmer, at least for me. It's much more spicy and sweet, and a bit cozy too. This lasts over eight hours on my skin and sillage is moderate. So, I took the plunge and ordered it. I'm glad I gave it another try!

OTA Mom

Light and inoffensive. On me, the cardamom was elusive, only mimosa.

genny17

Definitely on my list for spring!!a friend sent me a purse spray, and I like it, fresh, the cardammon isn't overdone, good thing as I usually dislike that note, it mixes in nicely with the mimosa, never taking center stage...this is such an interesting fragrance, feminine, airy, yet warms up nicely in the base...not sure I would wear it in our freezing cold weather, but at the end of winter, I am buying a bottle! Not overall sweet to me, let' S just say it has a natural sweetness
High quality like Malone does, this is a fresh warm floral, full of personality., yet simple!!..nice!!

Germany

Love this scent! Warm, sweet ,inviting and comforting. Yes a complete comfort scent. I smell the tonka very strong in here ,gives this so much warmth and a vanilla almond note.
The mimosa is made so warm and fuzzy like a cottonball with the tonka and cardamom , just so inviting and positive. A cuddle scent. A mood booster and a compliment getter all in one.
It's like a fresh warm vanilla scent with a definite mimosa note , childlike and playful ,Just wonderful !
I had a compliment on this , my friend said , you smell really good !
That's when I decided to get it :)

Update :
Wearing this a lot and absolutely love it !
Other sites show heliotrope ( vanilla smelling flower ) and sandalwood as well as rose, in addition to the notes mentioned here already.

Southern Blonde

This is a very sweet and floral scent that soothes and relaxes you as only a fragrance can do. The Jo Malone fragrances are like Demeter Fragrance line perfumes but with longevity! They are simple and uncomplicated scents that should please you as there is something for everyone. I happen to love mimosa and this is a really well made mimosa fragrance. It opens with a ginger-cardamom, spicy but sweet at the same time, and it quickly blossoms into a mimosa yellow floral scent. It smells a bit like citrus might be involved here too or at least an orange blossom. It's light, fresh, and delicious and best of all it becomes a vanilla cream toward the dry down. It's definitely vanilla in the form of Tonka bean. A very easy to wear scent, perfect for spring and summer months. It matches up with sundresses and sarongs and shorts/tops. I put a little on my neck and cleavage. Smells great!

chanceuxlilas

This is my comfort scent whenever I feel the tiniest bit stressed out. The warmth of this scent helps me to calm down and concentrate. I love layering it with the French Lime Blossom for the weekend for an extremely classy & feminine scent. Super amazing when layered with their new Basil Neroli to complete the bouquet. Quite long-lasting, at least 7 hours.

monbonbon

Yes Moh92! This is a carbon copy of a perfume from the body shop, it was called Tobacco Flower. I can't find that perfume on this site but it was my signature scent for a while.

I've only smelled this one once, and it's quite identical to Tobacco Flower... I got a sample vile so I want to wear it a few more times before I give a better review. Love these scents though, great for a fall season which just started. Spicy and unique...

Mo1

Reminds me so much of a discontinued perfume the body shop used to make. I think it's called Life is?

kerry_rahma

it's light, comforting, familiar but yet i've never smell anything like it.. i love it.. could be worn daytime, could be worn night time to a simple event.. i just love its simplicity yet different juice.. would def re purchase and again and again

catsngunsnyarn

i LOVE this. Mimosa & Cardamom is powdery, slightly floral, warm and sweet... but light. not heavy at all. it's cozy/gentle, yet sensual. at first the spritz on the tester strip was an overwhelming baby powder, but within 15 minutes, the warmth, sweetness, and tiny hint of spice emerged. i bought the body cream because i didn't want to commit to the spray. but, after wearing the cream for a couple of days, i now want the spray! i keep sniffing my arms. haha.

yashsanz

Very delicate scent, almost like a baby cologne, it did not seem spicy at all to me, it feels more powdery floral than anything. very linear and lasts next to nothing on me, so for the price, this one is a no.

teadrinker

This scent smells absolutely nothing like I expected. There's more honey, less spice, and quite a bit of powder. The scent is a sort of odd mix of notes. There are spicy notes, but they don't smell like cardamom. Rather, they're more generic. The non spicy elements (the mimosa, presumably) smells like a combination of powdery and aquatic notes. The powder is not the good kind of powder. I love powdery notes in some cases (violet is one of my very favorite scents), but this smells like rancid baby powder. I'm sad because this scent sounded so amazing, but in reality it's not that great.

DMS162002

I love mimosa and was so excited when this was released. I went to bed at night dreaming of warm, creamy spicy goodness. Well, I finally tried this at Nordstrom today and ... I really hate to make this comparison but this smells exactly like bath and body works' pink cherry blossom lotion. I don't smell any cardamom, don't get any spice. This is a linear pretty scent but nothing like the intriguing, unexpected fragrances I've come to expect from Jo Malone.

I've had this on my wrist for about three hours now and this scent has not evolved in any way. Projection is moderate. And yes, it still smells like a 3 for $27 deal. I can't justify spending over a hundred bucks for this. Save your money and slather on some cherry blossom lotion instead.

Music_luver77

I am new to Jo Malone perfumes and this was my first sample. It smells lovely. It is a nice change from what I typically wear. About an hour after spraying it reminds me of both 'Ellen Tracy' EDP mixed with Body Shop 'White Musk'. Very clean scent, that is not overpowering.

cdmarz

On paper, this is an instant love for me. However, on me, it's a very strong dislike. Not sure what happened, but it seems to have turned rancid on my skin. Smells like baby wipes on me, and not in a good way.. Very odd, never had that happen before.

prettywhitestars

I love this latest addition to Jo Malone's perfume range.
As an owner of the JM's Blackberry and Bay, and Blue Agave and Cacao scents, I was very happy to receive a sample of this last year.
As I have stated in my reviews for Blackberry and Bay, and Blue Agave and Cacao, this Mimosa and Cardamom scent is, for me, another of Jo Malone's 'perfectly partnered' creations.
The scent is gorgeous, and was ideal to promote over the Christmas 2015 period.

As soon as I applied the scent to my skin, the gorgeous golden fumes arose, spicy and warm, floral and cosy.
The cardamom is beautifully sweet and spicy, drawing the warm glow of mimosa into full swing.
The base note of tonka furthers the longevity.

I love this scent; it would suit anyone with aspirations to be a Luxurious Bohemian, or smell like the prettiest liquid gold.

corsario

Perfumes Jo Malone não são para o meu bico porque são muito caros, mas adoraria receber uma amostra.

guivenditti

I get lots of Iso E super and no cardamom at all.

Lizka7

May be it is my body chemistry, but Jo Malone does not work well with me. I did not smell mimosa at all, and cardamon was very plain. I mostly smelled warm milk with honey cardamon mix on me, stayed only 2 hours, very weak. Not a mimosa I would pick.

RubyBirdy

Sweet honeyed mimosa with minimal cardamom, which is a shame and a missed opportunity. I think the cardamom peeks out a bit more in the drydown, but it's barely there at all up front. When it is present, it's a very "soft" cardamom, like it has already been baked into bread with other ingredients. Otherwise, like most JM fragrances, it's straightforward and light.

swednose

Warm, safe and comforting. At first, I felt it was too feminine and flowery for a man. But after wearing it for 20 minutes, it's like a cleaner version of Hypnose Homme by Lancôme, which is a more aggressive cardamom scent (it actually knocks your socks off during the first few hours - a real 80s style powerhouse fragrance although it's from 2007).

I bought Hypnose for how it smells after several hours, but with Mimosa & Cardamom I can have that softer drydown directly out of the bottle :-) On me M&C has really decent staying power - I still pick it up after 12 hours.

The scent is like sunscreen on the beach in the afternoon, enveloping and relaxing. I also pick up indian soap, chai with full fat milk, and cardamom bun. It's a cool and crisp cardamom, not spicy or exotic, although there is a very slight undertone of cumin, which helps it blend with the scent of your own skin.

I freshen it up with Blackberry & Bay or warm it up with Wood Sage & Sea Salt, two Jo Malone fragrances that have the same immediately appealing, huggable quality as M&C. And they both manage to subdue the slight floweriness of M&C, which makes the fragrance easier to wear, and last longer too.

Kmam

LOVE this, so much that I needed to use capital letters. Opens gently spicy and dries down into lovely sweet mimosa with a touch of creamy vanilla. However, I must add that the longevity is dreadful! I find myself spraying throughout the day much more than anything else I wear. Which isn't a bad thing in terms of how much I like the opening, but it is in terms of my wallet. I have already decided that I don't want to miss out on smelling this on demand!

Incidentally, it's nice layered with Wood Sage and Sea Salt, which seems to help it last a bit.

Lucy Peach

This was a blind buy for me because I loved the idea of the cardamom as top note. Maybe it's just on my skin but like some other reviewers I do not smell much cardamom, only sometimes slightly in the beginning then it disappears. It's overall quite a strong, clean, soapy scent so if this is what you like, then it's perfect for cooler Autumn or Springtime. Mimosa and Cardamom strangely reminds me of another Jo Malone scent that I used to have, French Lime Blossom although I don't quite know why.

Bluemarinejosephine

“Mimosa & Cardamom” Jo Malone – 10.02.2015

“Mimosa & Cardamom” by Jo Malone starts with a certain inspiration but gradually ends up somewhere else. If you happen to like that "somewhere else," of course, you're in luck.

The perfume opens up with a powdery mimosa note. Quickly, the cardamom kicks in (although, I rather detect a cumin note than a cardamom note).

The mimosa note fades almost instantly and I am left with a soapy/powdery/floral blend. After about 45 minutes to an hour, the perfume vanishes completely and doesn’t even have a lingering end on me.

The scent is very subtle and stays very close to the skin. I need to press my nose on my wrist and inhale deeply to feel it. The longevity is not good on me; it lasts for about an hour. I am also surprised that it is classified as a unisex perfume. I feel it more as a women's perfume instead.

Due to the fact that this fragrance does not translate on my skin as a mimosa & cardamom scent but more as a powdery/floral scent and considering that the longevity is not good, I personally would not recommend it especially for its price.

Thank you for reading
Enjoy the perfume quest.

Fiffi_d

"Mimosa & Cardamom captures the bohemian spirit. Modern and mesmerising, evocative and sensual." That is how Jo Malone describes the perfume. It's top note is cardamom, middle note mimosa and base note Tonka beans.

But for me it's not modern. It's classical. It reminds me of the spice markets of Asia in early morning after a night of torrential rain. It is a woman in her prime, dressed in a flowing yellow dress, strolling in the open air market, among the woven baskets full of cardamom, some still green, and grabbing a handful, raising them up to her face and then taking a long, slow breathe before releasing them slowly back through her slender fingers, letting go of the pods gracefully back into the basket and watching them mingle with the masses, one by one. And then she's gone. Vanished into the crowds. Leaving a faint memory of what was before.

Mimosa and Cardamom is just that. Creamy, green, spicy and beautiful. It's there and then suddenly not there. It didn't last on me. It left me nostalgic. It left me hungry for more.

Would I buy it again? Most definitely yes.

sofiebgoode

so perfect for autumn. romantic. poetic. ever so slightly melancholy. sensual. outdoorsy. a sunset viewed through golden leaves.

Melodiarose82

I just smelled this in a fashion magazine at the grocery store... Oh, my god, is this stuff good!! I had to walk back to the isle where the magazine was to smell it again. I stood there for at least 5 minutes, hungrily inhaling the deliciousness of this scent. Lately, I am leaning towards the more unisex perfumes. I'm so tired of the sugary sweet scents... This has a gorgeous feminine appeal, but I also get the no nonsense, confidence of the masculine side, which I totally love. Embracing the 'masculine' in me. We've all got both sides in us, do we not? Anyway, I'll come back to to this page to do a proper review once I snag a bottle of my own. Because, oh, trust me... I'm buying a bottle of this!

EDIT: I read some reviews that said this is a barely there scent- which I can attest to Jo Malone fragrances being just that... One of them I tried was, anyway. I think I'll buy a sample size first to test it out for myself. Obviously, a sample on paper really isn't going to tell me what I need to know.

I have a large perfume wardrobe but this is my first encounter with Mimosa. I love the sunny, golden, happy radiance of it, which is only enhanced by the rich warmth of cardamom. I've only had it on for an hour but I find the sillage to be more than adequate so far (almost a foot with two sprays on the back of my hand). On the other hand I have layered it with Le Labo's Labdanum 18, a match made in heaven, IMHO. Will have to update later regarding longevity. This was a most blissful blind buy. I'm diggin' it!

Edit: Still present after 7 hrs with projection approx 3 inches.

I've had a similar experience to the reviewer below.

Mimosa is also one of my favorite notes and I'm a fan of spicy fragrances. I've also really enjoyed JM's Nectarine Blossom & Honey, so I had my hopes up for this one.

It does smell very good, but it's barely there. Period. What I can smell, I like, but I do wish it at least gave me the wear of a body splash. The JM layering selling point is fun and all, but buying three or four fragrances to do the job that one, well-balanced fragrance could do... well... I'm not sold.

I do enjoy this when I press my nose to my skin, but if only it had more oomph!

I was SO EXCITED for this new release from Jo Malone. There are a few JMs I like a great deal (such as Pomegranate Noir, Red Roses, French Lime Blosson (Linden/Tilleul) and Vanille & Anise) but overall the line is generally nice in a mostly realistic and natural manner.

Mimosa is one of my favorite notes. I have L'Artisan Mimosa Pour Moi, Parfums de Nicolai Mimosaique and anything that even approaches a prominent mimosa note such as Guerlain Champs Elysees and Bond No. 9 Fashion Avenue. If you have any of these I just listed there is no need for the Jo Malone Mimosa...unfortunately.

I'm so surprised by many of the reviews below, because clearly everyone experiences fragrances quite differently, especially with your own skin chemisty. On me, this has ZERO spice, ZERO cardamom and it's definitely NOT soapy.

What Mimosa and Cardamom is to me, is a very light and delicate mimosa scent, greenish, very natural and realistic and beautiful for about 10 minutes and then it vanishes....I can't detect any scent after about 30 minutes. It's a pretty mimosa scent, straight mimosa no spices at all, for 30 minutes and then it's gone. I purchased a bottle and I like it enough to re-apply and I've taken to spraying my clothes with it in case it holds to fabric better (it does) but I was definitely hoping for more intense mimosa with much more obvious spices. Oh, well. It's pretty and it's definitely a much better fragrance than all those celebrity fruity-florals or gooey gourmands on the market so I'll give it to Jo Malone for taking on such a lovely combination of scents with Mimosa and Cardamom -- it's an inspired idea and the scent does smell good, just not as robust or interesting as I had hoped. This could be a fragrance for people who don't like synthetic type "perfumey-perfumes" because it's so light, unobtrusive, natural and easy going. Definitely office friendly.

I tried on this when I went to the launch event. On me, the opening was warm, woody and spicy and after about an hour, it became soft, sweet and powdery. On paper, it became very soapy quickly but I'm pleased it smelt less soapy on me and more powdery. The SAs suggested layering it with wood sage & sea salt and english pear & freesia. I feel mimosa & cardamom is a good layering fragrance because when I tried it mixed with some of the other JM fragrances that I didn't like much, they smelt much better to me. For example, I don't like english pear & freesia on its own but together with m&c, I like. At the moment I'm not sold on wearing m&c on its own but overall, I like this one.

I like it very much, as much as I like Masaki Matsushima Shiro. They are identical, soapy flowers. Very gentle, clean, pure scent. If I haven't smelt Shiro I would have been very impressed.

Wow, this is such a beautiful, unique fragrance! I've probably smelled perfumes like this before but it's still different than almost any perfume in the market right now!

It has this clean, bar soap vibe mixed with the warm, inviting cardamom. It reminds me of those lazy weekends on cool, crisp fall days in late October and November where you're all cozy and wrapped in a blanket. I think it's a good balance between the soapy notes and the cardamom but I'd say the clean soapy vibe is a tad bit stronger than the cardamom. Overall, I smelled this thinking I'd get a whiff of something similar to scents I've smelled bazillions of times before...But nope, this is totally different than anything I remember smelling! Just be warned that while there are florals in this, to me, it just smells soapy. Also, the cardamom is way less prominent than the soapy floral. There is very little sweetness in this perfume!

Did not expect to love this. I like oudy notes and most of my favourites are rosy, oudy and quite strong. This one is floral and very pretty. Not girly by any means, it's a grown up but easy going scent but still elegant. Mimosa is a note I've not previously been a fan of. Maybe it's the mix with cardamom that makes this so beautiful. Maybe it is that it reminds me of my childhood that makes me love this. I'm considering a full bottle. The longevity of this is slightly better than some of Malone's fragrances. It lasted well over 5 hours all tough it did go much lighter towards the end. On my other arm I tested Bergamot Oud which I also love and want. The mimosa lasted slightly longer.
Has anyone tried layering this one? I'd love to get some ideas.
