I first found this fragrance in Greece while on my honeymoon. It is fresh and fruity with a great dry down. I've worn it in the height of the summer and with snuggly sweaters of Fall and it never disappoints. It is a more closely worn fragrance on the skin but is a bit elevated from traditional "fruity" gourmands. For me it holds personal significance of an amazing time in my life but I will forever return to this fragrance as a reliable constant in my collection. I heard that this was discontinued but in looking up other fragrances by Korres, saw they came out with "Vanilla Freesia" in 2020 that has the same notes, just switching litchee from a middle note to a top note- everything seems pretty identical overall. Has anyone that has used this original compared it to the newer scent? I would love to know how it compares!

MilaiaFoxe

This is my signature scent in Fall/Autumn
Smells very similar to V&R Flowerbomb and is a clean formula, performs best in colder weather.

I have 3 backup bottles because it’s discontinued

Dakota22

Similar to Molinard Patch Vanilla, but the Molinard lasts forever.

Markellam92

I love that smell but it doesn't stay on my skin for more than an hour 😩it's not too sweet, it's the perfect inoffensive vanilla perfume to wear at a work place, you just have to reapply every few hours. Definitely a day perfume for me

ingeneuxo

-Powdery, cloying in warm weather.
-Best worn in autumn/winter.
-Lovely vanilla scent. Dries down to a powdery mess on me though.
-Got tired of this scent after a season or two of wearing it in sweater weather.
-Said to be a dupe for Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb. (Can't comment as I've never tried the supposed original.)
-Not fbw. (-)

On my skin this is nearly an exact dupe for V&R Flowerbomb Extreme, more so than the Original version due to the vanilla base.

Besides sweetness from the vanilla and fruits, I'm definitely getting tea and patchouli which are also what I smell very strongly in both the Extreme and Original Flowerbomb. The longevity is about 3-4 hours on my skin with a light sillage but moderate lasting power on clothing, so not the worst if you consider the price and how great this smells!

Since FB Extreme has sadly been discontinued a while ago, I will definitely be repurchasing this one.

GORGEOUS. This starts as a fruity blast - it smells like a fruit punch, but with real (not synthetic) fruit. Then it gets creamy and a little more sophisticated and smooth. It makes me very happy.

My best friend was born in Greece, and she was one of the first people to introduce me to the Korres brand. The best selling products from Korres, (both skincare and fragrance), are stocked here in Australia and for many years I have wanted to explore more from their fragrance line.

Vanilla Freesia Lychee seemed the most appropriate fragrance to begin my Korres journey, especially seeing it is one of their best sellers. This fragrance is quite sweet, but not in a sickening way.

Many reviewers compare Vanilla Freesia Lychee to Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb, and although they are very alike, I prefer Vanilla Freesia Lychee as it smells fresher on the skin and features a delicious creamy drydown, (aspects that are missing in Flowerbomb). The most dominant notes to my nose include lychee, peach, vanilla, jasmine, green tea and white musk. I can barely smell the freesia note, and this is perfectly fine with me.

I have never travelled to Greece or the Greek Islands, yet I have been shown enough photos to sense its beauty and warmth. Vanilla Freesia Lychee is the kind of fragrance you would wear to a Summer evening beach soiree. It's sure to turn heads and appeal to the opposite sex. Vanilla Freesia Lychee is also a cheaper alternative to Flowerbomb, and despite being an EDT, it lasts extremely well on the skin.

I am pleased to have discovered Vanilla Freesia Lychee and I look forward to sampling more from this line. I have no shortage of sweet florals and gourmands in my present wardrobe, but I hope to revisit this fragrance in the future.

Woooow this is Incredibly similar to Flowerbomb! It could very well be a dupe! Even tho Flowerbomb is an expensive EdP, and this is a more affordable EdT, I can not sense much difference in longevity or sillage. It's of good quality. The only difference is that this is a tiiiny bit fresher than V&RFB. Try it for yourself!

soufvb

I know its a weird description, but to me it smells like the fragrance version of greek yogurt with berries; I get a lot of the lychee and vanilla. Longevity and sillage is poor, but I bought two bottles to keep one in my purse. Its good for the price but dont expect to have people commenting on your fragrance because it has very poor projection.

Shan101beauty

Amazing dupe for flowerbomb. Smells amazing. Its lasting is great, they say its natural so it might be better health wise. Lovely fragrance.

yiotagreece

The exact dupe of Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb in an excellent price! Great longevity and sillage!

ionantha

Tested this because I love just about anything Korres (especially Iris & Lily of the Valley). There must be something to this frag because so many people love it, but on me it's pure sugar. I can detect a bit of fruit, maybe a bit of powder, fading to a still very sweet musk.

I never tried Flowerbomb, which is apparently quite similar, so maybe this combination of notes just doesn't work on me. Who knows. But I would suggest testing it before buying if you don't have a track record with Flowerbomb. :)

miarose

I repurchased this along with Vanilla Freesia EDP because I found a good deal on it. I once owned it, but got rid of it because it smelled too much like Flowerbomb, which was being worn by more than 50% of the female population in our area, and it was annoying the heck out of me because it smelled so similar to other scents at the time (Lancome La Vie Est Belle was another overly popular one that had a similar vibe), and it gave me a raging headache on top of everything else, especially when someone wore too much of it. Now that the craze has calmed down, I found this again. As I had hoped, it does not give me a raging headache with a small spritz, though I suspect if someone wore too much of it, it would likely knock me out. This is a bit sweeter than Flowerbomb, yet, somehow, to me, it is less cloying. Does that even make sense? However, I will start wearing it in the winter and see how this works for me, as I find it rather heavy for summer/fall heat.

PoeticRenegade

When it's first applied you get the lychee at the forefront, and it soon settles to a nice vanilla scent. Not too sweet and excellently formulated

Jmalone84

Most similar to the old FB eau de toilette with less longevity.

Very decent for a natural frag. The fact that it's phthalate free is a big plus. Also quite affordable.

NessS

This was more floral than fruity for me a lot of freesia and not much lychee. And then it goes very very sickly sugary and powdery, reminded me of YSL babydoll. Projection was huge. Lasted all day and even after scrubbing so longevity is great for this. Unfortunately too overwhelming for me.

Vanilla panda

Here's the umptieth Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb's analogy lol.

I wasn't prepared to smell anything that similar within the course of the week of discovering Flowerbomb.

I spritzed one on each arm and could hardly tell the difference for the first 25 mins.

Only on drydown did I feel that Vanilla Freesia Lychee was Flowerbomb's dainty lil sister, albeit with a brighter, sweeter finish and much less buttery notes.
It also sticked to my skin a little longer, unlike most of people who usually experiences poor longevity with all-natural frags. And my dry skin is perfume-devoring!

Korres Vanilla Freesia Lychee body milk enhances and fixes Flowerbomb to perfection.

Because I especially adore the butter note in Flowerbomb, while the quality of Korres body care is excellent, I'm keeping this happy arrangement.

kbot

Very reminiscent of Flowerbomb, but perhaps a littler softer and less intensely sugary. The patchouli is softer as well. It's overall as if the volume is turned down. I like that it is at an affordable price and is also (as far as I'm aware) a crueltyl-free company.

yasmina2009

I really wanted to like this because I am currently on the hunt for fragrances that don't have chemical nasties like PCMs and phthalates (although to be honest it seems the latter additive has been phased out even by mainstream designer fragrances judging from responses to my email queries) - and Korres' is very transparent about its ingredient list, which I appreciate. But this perfume doesn't smell like anything on me after an initial very promising blast of red hard candy. Then I get nothing, just a vague make-up powder smell. It must be my skin because others are reporting amazing scent, sillage and longevity. Oh well. I got it on sale and at least I can spritz without worrying about my toxic body burden.

Erinbath22

This scent is amazing! The patchouli blast at the beginning is no joke. I have grown to love that menthol-aromatic blast in the first 20 seconds.
Yes, this is like a more herbal Flowerbomb, and dries down very vanilla-cozy sweet. Freesia is there helping it along in freshness, so the sweetness doesn't become overpowering. Holds on to its herbal patchouli crisp edge for the next few hours, but sweet, warm vanilla is really boss here.
I have the lotion since it came with the EDP in a set, and at first thought it smelled weird, like rancid olive oil, but after applying it, a few minutes later I was like "what smells so good?" And it was me! Give it a minute.
On my skin it only lasts 3-4 hours, but if I spray some on the edge of my shirt, it smells divine and lasts 8 hours. I think if you are a fan of patchouli/vanilla-floral fragrances that are popular now, this is a safe bet. I really love this.

Edemay

Received this as a birthday gift from my best friend
The initial burst of vanilla reminded me of la vie est belle, but it then begins to soften and become more floral.
I thought i must be crazy for smelling a hint of gucci rush but i now see this also has freesia, patchouli and peach.
Freesia and patchouli are quite strong in this and stops it from being too sweet or syrupy.
Overall its sweet with hints of bitter, powder and fruit.
I really love it and think its a great fun and sexy vanilla fragrance.

mymemoir

A lovely combination of notes. Lychee, vanilla, freesia - delightful. And that's not all of course, there's a really soft sensuous sandalwood too, a lovely soothing, calming tea, and gorgeous soft herby patchouli, and other fruit and flowers. Lovely. And it is feminine, refreshing, light and pretty. I love it. It lasts well and has very nice sillage so that other people notice and say how nice I smell. Really lovely.

Miss_Vanity

I tried it at the drugstore earlier this morning and I am quite impressed with its quality. It smells like a luxury fragrance for half the price.

I also find similarities with Flowerbomb, however on my skin, it feels like a lighter, simpler and fresher version of La Nuit Tresor, probably because of the vanilla-litchi combo. I would totally recommend it for a gift or a blind buy. I'm definitely buying it myself.

leauExquise

I agree with the others, smells very close to flowerbomb. But I have found with this mostly natural perfume, that it turns very fast. I have had it about 6 months, stored in excellent conditions, and it has already gone off. I have used maybe 40percent of the bottle. Pretty disappointed!

oubliette

Yes, it does smell like Flowerbomb! But at a lower price and without the phthalates. Nothing ground-breaking here, but it's a very well done gourmand that can stand on its own against any of its more expensive counterparts.

gritzalimaria

yes, it is a great vanilla fragrance and yes it could be a chanel perfume, it is the best of korres. rich vanilla with a touch of freesia... better that flowerbomb on me!

Fairy Mary

It is so sensual fragrance, and the duration on me it is more than 6 hours! I love it

LexiDeRock

I really enjoyed this last year as a summer perfume. It was indeed sweet from the vanilla and lychee, but the freesia was a lovely touch. Its one of those oh so soft flowers that I really love.
It lost it's luster for me come fall, but that could be that I think it really is a spring/summer only scent. Maybe I should give it another go now the weather is warmer.
For the price though I can't argue. It is one of the few scents that had a price tag that made me smile instead of cringe that I actually wore til the bottle was empty.

AgnesONutter

If it was not for the lasting power being so poor (I can't smell it at all after 2-3 hours of wear) this would be my absolute favourite perfume.

It opens with an almost throat drop kind of sweetness to it, dark and syrupy and sort of eucalyptus feeling fresh at the same time. It is hard to explain, but very definitely some kind of throat candy. Those notes, however, settle very quickly into a soft, dark, mature vanilla with hints of sandalwood and peach and other sweet things like jasmine. To me, jasmine is a sweet scent.

Despite being dark, a sweet gourmand kind of scent, this is a perfume I tend to wear all the time because it stays close to your skin, never venturing far away at all. Perfect for the office, or other spaces where you are in close contact with people, since they will only get a hint of your perfume if even that. Bad, if you want to be able to smell the perfume yourself without actively sniffing your wrists or wherever else you might have applied it.

All in all, a lovely scent if it only had better lasting power and a bit more sillage.

HLVTCA09

Very sweet sugary vanilla. soft and young. i didn't buy it bc it is very candy-like. It looked so promising with the freesia. It isn't quite long lasting either...

etternax

I have been after this for long since reviews mentioned it smells similar to V&R Flowerbomb. I just received it today and I am very pleased. The opening is the same like flowerbomb with tea and bergamot and you really won't tell the difference between the two. The heart develops into a very warm and sparkling mixure of freesia and jasmine with a touch of lychee. The heart lacks the sharpness of orchid in flowerbomb but still smells nearly the same, more sensual and warmer. From beginning to end it maintains its floral fruity character where the patchouli drydown gives it a luxurious character. If you love FB and you are after a cheaper fragrance, get this one as others won't be able to tell the difference between the two!

genny17

This is a light gourmand, I like it, it isn't heady, it is fresh and easy to wear, I guess in a way it is a bit like Flowerbomb, , same type of scent, but the Korres is more innocent smelling, not as sweet, not as as seductive as Flowerbomb. I like lychee, it gives it some lightness, and the vanilla is great, not overly foody or dry.l
Longevity is weak though. But I truly like it.

derkargy

Deliten,Korres perfumes usually have an average silage and longevity, especially the one that you mentioned in your review.Vanilla lychee lasted about 3-4 hours on my skin.

deliten

I'm thinking about blind buying this one since it's not available in Sweden. But I first have to know, how is lasting power and silage? Does it last more than 6 hours on skin? please help me with this!

NanAxlRose

I like it, but I don´t love it... I was hoping that it would remind me more of Flowerbomb, since I love Flowerbomb...

Denoula

Lovely! As said before, sweet but not heavy. And reminiscent of Flowerbomb. I often dislike sandalwood, but in this it muted/well blended. I bought the shower gel as a gift for a 16-year-old. And got some nice face cream and shampoo samples!

maimoyditsa

a great perfume! sweet but not too heavy with its body milk which is not expensive at all lasts all day! i love it!

Solvita

wow!just surprised!smells really sweet and expensive.Similar to Flowerbomb, yes, but more friuty, also freesia is nice here.Lasts all the day.Good job.

minousdepoes

I bought me a bottle in the hope it smells like flowerbomb. Indeed, it smells heavenly, like my beloved flowerbomb. I love it even more than FB. The drydown is some sweeter and not so bitter as flowerbomb.
Lovvvvvvve it.
Lastingpower is very good!!

katienchris

lasts very lost. smells clean (freesia) sweet(vanilla) at first then gets sweeter but not in a synthetic way at all. I like it alot..maybe ill buy it will test again soon

mahanta

Finally I got a sample, put it on - oh, what a blessing! Then suddenly my son asked - where's this smell of wet baby diapers coming from??? Well, it was my wrist... And in a couple of minutes - again wonderful and delicious! Must be litchi I guess. And I so hoped to love it!

hilal

A much much better version of flowerbomb and a lot cheaper too !!!!

parishamburglondon

This fragrance is sooo nice.. It smells like a very good fragrance. wouldn't have expected it. Bought it without trying before.
It's such a nice vanilla scent. Not to Sweet, and nice in combination with the Lychee, don't know about the Freesia, but the whole fragrance is very nice.
Could be a Chanel Fragrance!!!
