A very subtle and fresh scent, pleasantly sweet. The nutty note is mainly detectable at the beginning, followed by enveloping vanilla. It's a gourmand scent, but delicately so, close to the skin, soothing.

andrewpc84

Smells like the chocolate cream filling of an éclair or Italian chocolate filled beignet. It's comforting and enjoyable but can't really find a reason to wear this out of the house. There are definitely better gourmands out there, but this one is not bad. Wish they hadn't thrown in the white florals, it contrasts too much with the nutty vibe that's trying to compete with the jasmine and lily-of-the-valley
I don't mind the citrusy touches at the opening, but that freaking floral note in the middle makes it annoying. On the bright side, it works great in a room diffuser.

This is quite a lovely gourmand. And with all the due respect to differing opinions, but my expectations of Nutella met the same sudden disappointment as when discovering a painfully empty pantry shelf.
There are nutty and sweet gourmand elements and they are dominant, yet also balanced by dry-woody, powdery, cosmetic notes, reminiscent of body care products, like a cocoa butter themed lotion line.
Cozy, smooth, soft. But a 'do not swallow' warning wouldn't be necessary, you wouldn't.
I do own perfumes a quarter or an eighth of the price of this, yet this packaging is by far the cheapest; blandest design, a tiny lightweight cap - credit for the frosted metal - but the pressing seam of the glass is right on the front ruining its look. Low priced brands can do so well, and at 30-40€ no one was trying much here. It has to be said. But this aside..
A simple gourmand, friendly but grown up, with a woody, powdery take on hazelnuts, very gentle in sillage and lasting power.

Smells like Nutella. Makes me hungry, thx but i'll pass. But i would use it to spray around kitchen and dining room in winter evening :)

ScentedPlaza

"Kinder Bueno" in a bottle :) Cozy & fun!

scentiful

It starts off smelling like cocoa butter but after about 10/20 minutes, the hazelnut becomes prominent and I found that it was long lasting. Doesn’t suffer from smelling artificial at all thankfully.

Anyone in the U.K. looking to sell this for a decent price? Please get in touch. Thanks

What a let down. The opening is really nice and realistic nutella with a hint of citrus.
The moment it dries down on my skin though, this smells like cat pee. I can’t get past this note. I guess it’s my skin chemistry? I wouldn’t suggest this as a blind buy.

Unisex? I honestly can't imagine a man wearing something like this! This is a pure gourmand goodness. It starts with a blast of citrus but then, in a minute, they disappear and you're left with the most edible smell - chocolate-y hazelnut heaven. I was wearing this one day, while sitting in the park, and I heard a kid say to his mum "it smells like ice cream here!". There was no ice cream parlour in sight!
I have yet to find a perfume that feels the same way as this. That's why this is my signature scent at the moment.
It's so unique and very underrated. Projection is moderate, I usually go for 4+ sprays. Longevity is 2-3 hours on me.
I just wish this perfume could get the hype it deserves, because this is a little, inexpensive masterpiece.

xpetra82

So good gourmand... I want to eat myself! If someone was telling me that is a xerjoff I would believe... Zero longevity though

mariakok

Hazelnut cream, like nutella but more vanilla or white chocolate. I don't get any of the citrus or florals. It's the nuttiest scent I've ever smelled, I can almost taste it. I can see wearing this after showering or bedtime

Queen Pisuna

Looking at the notes I can definitely smell the blend of lemon and vanilla topped with roasted hazelnuts in the opening. To me, it´s a simple scent that smells like sweets. I would wear this at home, to bed, or casually during the daytime. I can even imagine wearing it on the beach because it reminds me of the comforting strokes of a summer breeze. Its projection is around arm's length and lasts well on me (about 8 hours). I always smell it when I'm wearing it. My bf loves this scent too. It makes you smell like a snack/dessert you would eat, however, this is not a sexy, particularly feminine, or elegant fragrance.

santiniansia

I got this second hand. It was a blind buy, and I don't regret it! What a lovely, delicious fragrance! It is predominantly hazelnut with a bit of lemon and bergamot to keep things interesting.
I've edited this because I've found that layering lotion under it makes it last the whole day. Projection is probably never gonna be great. My man is just sitting three feet away from me, and he says he can't smell it because the windows are open? But I don't care about that. The important thing is that I can smell how delicious I am!

dianamay

There is NO bergamot or lemon in this, in fact, I´m pretty sure the notes are all wrong...the opening is a blast of nuttiness delicious and intense, as somebody correctly stated it is quite like nutella but perhaps a little more almondy and lactonic. No flowers detected either, and I don't really mind the drydown at all...for the rest it is hazelnut cream vanilla goodness, very indulgent if you like gourmands, not good prestanda but for the price it is a steal! Lasts longer on clothes, however if you like it and want it to last layer it over a stronger vanilla or use it with the body products of this line, quite a treat if you ask me, very pampering!

clemmy

Nutella in a bottle. Cocoa is not in the notes, it is hazelnut and vanilla. A real pleasant gourmand that smells like niche.
L'Erbolario is an underestimated italian company famous for natural ingredient and well balanced fragrances. never cloying, never chemical- headache inducing. Longevity on me is less than one hour, the major problem of this fragrance.
Unmissable for gourmand (and Nutella) lovers. 2.5/5

Love it!

This truly smells like Nutella with a background of sweet white flowers. It's a nutty, vanilla & creamy, comforting scent. Persistent but not overpowering it's suitable for any season I would say. Perfect for bedtime, casual dates with friends or...just to feel good with yourself!

I always avoided Erbolario fragrances because of they're unattractive, dated packaging and bottle designs but in the end they kind of provide quality cosmetics. And their perfumes are not an exception!

If you like gourmand fragrances that smells like cookies & treats this should be in your collection!

Marina.Klr

This one is a pure hazelnut scent, which smells more like a spoonful of Nutella. Praline lovers will fall hard for it, it's an amazing gourmand perfume with very good lasting power and a warm-spicy-sweet winter / autumn feeling.

gmr1967

WOW ... WOW .... The first spray is a burst of citrus but quickly the warm notes of amber, hazelnut and vanilla arrive. Total gourmand, duration and spectacular sillage, it is a perfume that creates addiction to those who love sweet, very sweet fragrances. As always, a beautiful creation by Maison Erbolario that does not disappoint.

Sequin

Haselnut ice cream at first with a hint of citrus note. As said bellow it quickly turns into woody and powdery vanilla skin scent. It's delicious but stays only for an hour on me.....

biljana bonbon

Cookies..sweet,chocolate and nutty..fantastic!

Radvile

After an hour the scent on my wrist was somehow smoky but sweet and smooth. What I was able to smell is roasted nuts and prominent vanilla note with an incensy undertone (burnt amber stone or something like that). The scent itself doesn't attack your nose it rather floats in the air like a cloud but remains noticeable. Personally this perfume goes so quickly to the drydown and becomes skin scent that I wasn't able to notice lilly of the valley or lemon maybe just bergamote for several seconds after spraying. Longevity is weak (up to 3 hours). It's velvety, sweet and a bit dirty oriental fragrance. Cozy and comforting, the best season to wear this scent is autumn/winter.

laura710

This turned a bit weird on me at the beginning, after the citrus I could smell strong wood notes and licorice (it's not the first time I smell licorice in a perfume which isn't supposed to contain it, it must be my skin). It really reminded me of the smell of the air in winter nights in the mountains. After a while though I started smelling powdery hazelnuts and vanilla. Quite a strange fragrance on my skin, more like a licorice-nut-vanilla scent.

Update: I hate it on my skin, unfortunately. I just can't smell the gourmand-nutella aspects of it, I just smell strong citrus, licorice, roasted almost salty hazelnuts and vanilla. The drydown is ok but it's not enough to make me like it.

Update 2: I have tried it again, I want to like it but I just don't. Strangely enough every time I smell it, it is different. This time it was basically licorice and wood with a hint of vanilla. I almost couldn't smell the hazelnuts at all! Not for me

Fragrance Review For All'Olio Di Argan L'Erbolario

Top Notes: Bergamot Lemon

Middle Notes: Jasmine Lily of the Valley

Base Notes: Amber Hazelnut Vanilla Musk

The name in Italian translate to Argan Oil, which I rather hoped this would smell like. I have actual argan oil and argan oil based hair products. Oil from the argan tree is very good at strengthening human hair. This is only slightly like argan oil but it's more of a nutty, little bit woodsy argan and hazel nut. It's Oriental and aromatic, very much a nut scent. It smells at first like lemon then like roasted nuts, like a delicious vanilla and cacao or coffee, very much a mixture of vanilla, nuts, coffee, chocolate, argan, wood and hazel nut. It smells like the inside of a cabin in the woods where you're gorging on delicious hazel nut chocolate dessert. I was unable to pick up on the scent of flowers which include lily of the valley and jasmine. The lily of the valley is there but it's only a touch. Green and flowery but not at all a floral fragrance. This is a gourmand scent but in a more realistic sense and very true to hazel nut and argan tree.

Madrona

This is a VERY real hazelnut with a hint of chocolate. Rather Nutella-like. Absolutely delectable. When it dries down it turns into a vanilla hazelnut swirl coffee scent on my skin. That being said, I do seem to prefer the super-sweet hazelnut marshmallow of Just Cavalli Gold, so if you like the gourmand aspect of this one and want the sweetness amped up ten times, do try that one.

dormir6

It is soooo good!!!!!! Not just a Chocolover replacement, but a beautiful fragrance. Creamy, milky hazelnut with a hint of chocolate. It is not sickly sweet and childish. It is more sophisticated. A serious gourmand.
On my skin it is longlasting. I absolutely love it!!!!!

Mellyhelly

cumulnimbus

Simple and comforting hazelnut.

This is a very nice but simple scent. Linear hazelnut and vanilla with a slightly powdery dry down. Hazelnuts are my favorite nuts, it isn't such a commonly used note so I really like it in this one. I enjoy using this edt in winter days for daily use. It is too naive for evening and night in my opinion, unless you are taking it to sleep to comfort you in the cold nights.

Doesn't last too long which is a pitty, sillage is average.

I was looking for something sweet, good for autumn, not expensive...I decided to buy this and I'm really happy about my purchase! This fragrance is really comfortable, make me feel warm and think about Christmas! The price (in Italy) is ok and the stayng power is about 4 hours...

shellysmellys

Warm hazelnut milk with a hint of vanilla. Cozy and delicious to curl up with your sweetie. Easy to enjoy.

cake n' cuddles

This wasn't what I was expecting, but it's still so lovely. I was thinking candy nuts and creamy vanilla, but this fragrance is pretty dry, not super sweet, and powdery. Like others, I do find it comforting.
The hazelnuts smell unsalted and roasted to me, nothing sweet about them. The vanilla is milky and powdery with some sweetness.
I wore this to work and found it really enjoyable, I think this is a good sweet/gourmand kind of fragrance to wear to somewhere in closer settings. There is something a bit "baby soft" about this fragrance.
Very lovely, my 3rd time wearing it and I'm always really pleased. The lasting power isn't too super is the only downfall, need to bring this one in my purse for a touch up half way through the day.

Upon spraying, All'Olio di Argan has a sort of cinnamon bun smell, like a diluted Demeter Popcorn or the opening of Jeux de Peau. But it quickly settles down into a roasted nut smell. It doesn't have much chocolate nuance like The Body Shop Brazil Nut. Instead, All'Olio di Argan is much more nutty and woody. There is also a smidgen of vanilla. Combined with the roasted nut smell, it makes me think of vanilla flavoured sunflower seeds, and a less caramelly and more sheer PG10 Aomassaï.

The sillage of All'Olio di Argan is moderate and the longevity is about 10 hours. Simplistic, but efficient for an occasional nut fix or for layering, especially considering the price. I'd recommend it as a lovely gourmand fragrance with a woody undertone.

amnalenajasmine

Sweet innocence in a bottle. This is a feel-good scent, the olfactory equivalent of movies like "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail". Sometimes that's just what you need!

ginger68

It's an odd fragrance, very nutty, sweet but not cloying. Perfect for grey, cold, sad winter days. Very confortable.

sistermoon

I really like L'erbolario (looove Meharees!). And I adore hazelnuts. So naturally I had to test this new fragrance. It smells exactly like hazelnut milk (from Alpro- if anyone cares) very hazelnutty- no doubt about that, with medium sweet vanilla, and a very edible chocolatey note. And although it's very delicious and comforting, I realise it's something I'd rather drink than wear. I was hoping for a more serious hazelnut interpretation. But I can't say I hate this at all. It's very foody and it might appeal to some gourmand lovers.

Lali123

I smelled it yesterday on my friend...and I made a lot of compliment about it. It's sweet but not in a childish way, I can say it's sophisticated for some reasons. Is comfy, perfect for this period, early autumn. I absolutely want to try this on my self, and hope it will give me the same wonderful sensation, as I felt yesterday!

mirisfrik

This one smells exactly like pancakes with Nutella. For me, this is too much associated with food. To be honest, even if i do love pancakes with nutella, I don't want to smell like them and can't understand why anyone would like to do so?

flamin201

This Fragrance smells like buttery,(like nutty clarified butter), powdery, vanilla, sugary hazelnut coffee with a biscotti on the side (if that makes any sense). Am happy with my blind buy.

sere

Very strange, nutty and absolutely different, and in a good way!!!I' ve smeled it today, it' s warm, deep and exotic, something never smelled before..I can detect a note of coffe even if there' s no coffe in it. I m an italian girl and for me this is the pleasant smell of a very sugared expresso whith a hint of milk! FOR GOURMAND LOVERS!!!

melanie

Starts almost cheerfully, with gourmet hazelnut, I thought that it will remain so simple, but quickly settles on the skin with dominant vanilla and beautiful powdery trail. For me it is not unisex, but real woman's, quite steady. Hazelnut is felt all the way, but it's much more subtle after half an hour. There is some simplicity of celebrity scents in it, but all blended with a powerful Angel, that same vibe. A must try, it's different, indeed. Love it!

belissena

Very nutty, hazelnut with powdery vanilla. I think it's very cosy and confortable, not sickly sweet. I've been waiting for this perfume, Olio di Argan body care is one of the best from Erbolario and now I could buy the fragrance! I'll get it for the next autumn/winter with Ambraliquida and Meharees!
