Awful smell. Nothing aquatic or salty about this. I am glad i bought a small version, because i do not like it at all. I had to gift this to my grandma (who likes it a lot), because i cannot stand it. For me a good aquatic/salty smell is Ocean di Gioia, this does not compare. I only smell iris in this and something heavy and cloying. It leans very masculine (which i do not dislike per se), but its name has nothing to do with the smell. A fail blind buy.

L'Erbolario really did something here. I absolutely recommend this perfume. It is NOT a straight up marine perfume. I mostly smell bergamot at first, then it evolves and the marine and herbal notes appear, but in a very unobtrusive way. It is very much like a whole landscape, an atmosphere. Like watching the sea sitting under citrus trees, amidst Mediterranean flora. Honestly this is very very good compared to some other offerings from the house, which sometimes makes truly awesome fragrances, but not that often.

This is also a true unisex. 100% unisex.

Fior di Sale is L’Erbolario version of the popular trend of salty, aromatic, aquatic fragrances for summer.

This particular scent was inspired by the mine salt from Sardinia and smells indeed like your on an island breathing in fresh, salty air but it has added some soft but sweet florals: iris, immortelle and galbanum to the composition to offer a nice contrast!

The result is a subtle aquatic, salty, citrusy, floral scent. I like this DNA very much for beach wear and I got myself a travel size. I find it very similar to Salina and I have that, but I thought I could use Fior di Sale alternatively or to mixed them, to give Salina a more floral feel.

Beautiful baby blue packaging, it looks like the colours of the Mediterranean Sea, very fitting colour choice for the scent.

Not the most intense scent or the longest lasting but smells natural and for the price, I still think it’s good value.

I blind bought this one. It's beautiful. Salty, marine, no sweetness at all. No florals (it is more aromatic). Smells expensive and natural. For a marine perfume and the price it is very long lasting, like several hours. The only downside is that the opening is much more masculine to my nose. I think I'd rather smell that on a man to be honest. I think I'm gonna keep it aside and give it to my partner when he runs out of his favourite summery scent.

I wish I could easily go through the "masculine" phase of that one because the dry-down is truly divine. Like pure salty sea breeze near a rocky beach. I wore it in my hair and felt some sort of beachy breeze for several hours during the day. If you enjoy masculine leaning marine scents you'll love this one.

Edit : I changed my mind. I don't think this is that masculine anymore... at the moment I just smell the sea, the beach. Dreamy stuff. I'll wear this a lot.

This is nice. It’s a mix of sweet and salty, but very soft. It smells like male shower gel. Really natural and relaxing. A refreshing choice for summer.

If you're into fresh and marine fragrances this one is a must have!
Unlike many other fresh perfumes it doesn't have any sweetness to it and it has a very prominent salty note. However, it also doesn't have any masculine smelling notes so to me it is a true neutral unisex.
The opening is super zesty and salty and in the dry down it becomes a bit more powdery and soapy.
It truly transports you to a Mediterranean beach with a salty breeze.
The longevity is ok as well, especially for the price. On me it would last around 4-5 hours maybe.
Overall I really recommend it if for your seaside vacation or if you're into this type of scent.

Lately my attention shifted towards the more natural scents and I discovered L'Erbolario. I heard about this scent before, and as I love the unisex, marine fragrances and I am still looking for someone to fill the void left by the discontinued CK2, I happily bought this one and Fior d'Onda. I must say that I love them both - similar, but with different character. Fior di Salina is saltier, the citrus notes are quite prominent and it has a nice somewhat soapy base that makes it very soothing and calming. It sits close to the skin, but lasts quite a couple of hours. I am very pleased, it will probably become a regular on my shelf.

I bought it because it's similar to Aquawoman.
They are maybe 30% similar. This one is sharper, more citrusy, the drydown is very powdery. Moderately salty and marine, does not smell like rotten seaweed.
PERFECT perfume for vacation in Mediterranean cost.
The lasting power is a joke, but it's ok for summer. Super refreshing perfume

I forgot to review this. I adore it!
It's really unisex, not leaning too feminine or too masculine. Mineral, smooth, fresh in a watery way. Truly reminds of sea water, the Mediterranean or Tyrrhenian precisely, as they are warm and very scented. It reminds me of home and our coastal places in Italy.

The galbanum it's fantastic mixed with the minerality of the salt. Wears soft but persistent and projects nicely. Longevity is not great but as I love the opening I don't mind to respray every 3 to 4 hours. It doesn't break the bank.

I love that it sides with Eau des merveilles bleue. Yup, that comparison is on point and I own both. Very happy about my dad's little gift! Lovely, lovely, lovely! This scent is soothing, calming and relaxing. I spray it on myself and pillows to lull me to sleep.
Great job L' Erbolario!!!!

This is very pleasant when I sprayed it, not divine, but pretty good, fresh, I had hopes. But it dried down to the faint remains of the top notes plus faint incense and patchouli. It's a lighter version of Rochas Eau Fraiche but Rochas has less patchouli and maybe a pinch more incense. Incense is not listed which is annoying ... but they're almost the same. I have this same issue with both: Incense in any amount and distinguishable patch. They are both almost twins including the top notes though they're slightly different sources. Rochas is heavier and longer lasting. This is in the same league with Eau de Marveilles Blue Hermes which I'm not fond of. I love aquatics, but as a female I like them going in a different direction in the base notes. Ralph Lauren Polo Sport Women is my favorite but discontinued... way more sea smell, way fresher, divine all the way through with heavenly base notes too..sigh.. So I keep searching. But it's not here. Aquamarine was more divine in the top notes but dried down to patchouli but that's unwelcome to me as well. At least no incense in that one. This is a nice fresh clean scent at the top but I can't imagine kids wearing this at the dry down as someone mentioned. It's slightly more masculine to me in the base notes but it's such a skin scent it doesn't matter and it definitely doesn't scream male exactly either. I can easily imagine women wearing it it just seems more masculine to me in the base notes but stays unisex. This is a nice after shower scent if you like those base notes. It reminds me more of an after shave or after shower scent than the sea I must say. I'm in my fifties this base scent is nothing new, smelled it in the 70s and 80s as well. Millennials seem to like these notes more I don't know. and likely the old geezers from the 70s who wore them back then. I got Replica Bubble Bath and it had incense in the dry down for God's sake! @@@###!!!@%$&! who bathe's with incense? WTF

I love this so much. It is such a unique take on a Mediterranean fragrance together with aromatic shrubs and sea salt air, warmed up with orris and musk. Amazing!

I wrote to L'Erbolario asking them the complete pyramid note, and they kindly answered me.
The complete pyramid Is:

Top: Bergamot, Lemon, Galbanum, Sea note

Middle: Rose, Jasmine, Iris, Patchouli, Salt note

Base: Absolute of Helichrysum (Immortelle), White Musk

Unlike many other marine-themed perfumes, I would call this scent more airy than aquatic, drier than wet. It is like the salt that I breathe in the air, like when I feel it on my skin dried by the sand and the wind.
After the beach, before the shower.
I really love It.

adriana.rizzati

Tyrrhenian Sea breeze in a little turquoise bottle.
I finally found the marine scent I was looking for. I have smelled different other marine perfumes, but none evokes in me this enchanting sensation of saltiness on the skin, the same air I breathe after a day on the beach, tired and happy, ready for an aperitif with my partner and my dogs, Campari soda in a bar that is located directly on the beach. Or the breeze i feel around my body when I walk on the shoreline with my feet caressed by the waves.
Other marine perfumes that I have smelled, even if all in all good, have a conventional smell of sea (ex. Aria di mare by Il Profvmo, Salis by Erbario Toscano, Rem by Reminiscence or even Fiore dell'onda by Erbolario). Here in Fior di Salina the sea is there, but it is like a saline breeze, natural, realistic, the dry and aromatic breeze typical of Tyrrhenian Sea, with its trees and shrubs and pebbles and shells.
I seem to feel notes sweet and dry of sand, but maybe it's the combination of Iris, helichrysum and galbanum that do the magic.
I'd like that Fior di Salina was more powerful in sillage and longevity, but It's a perfume so enchanting to me that i forgive It.
I will never be able to do without it again!

For this price you can’t ask for more.

The opening is very sparkling and refreshing citrus, not really a big fan of lemon pledge kind of aroma.
The drydown is much better, smells of fresh salty air.

Longevity is not huge, around 4-6hrs. Projection is great, leaves a nice salty marine trail.
The sprayer is bad, the price is very affordable (23€).

Overall, i think it’s worth its price if you’re into marine salty freshies.

I still haven’t worn it in summer, it probably gets much much better :-)

This is marine in a different way than normal...it enhances the aspect of saltiness but in a smart and very feminine way (although the fragrance can be worn by a man too). It reminds me of going down a cliff in a narrow path facing the sea, in the scorching sun you can smell the Mediterranean bushes stubbornly growing along the dry path to the sea, a marine breeze blows towards you and you can almost taste the drizzle from the sea in your mouth. The opening is a bit sharp, however, if you wait a bit you will feel the wonderful slightly powdery drydown. Gives its best in the heat! Love

Beachbag in a bottle! Cotton, salt, sun screen, bikini, sand.. LOVE!

Fresher, less floral and more mineral (pebbles) version of Aqva Divina (Bvlgari). But to my nose, this has some extra divinity added (sorry aqva, I still like you too). Not very lasting. After sharp citrus blast, settles down beautifully and in a balanced way. When I need some extra feminine fragility to the salty notes I layer with Aqua divina. It's so good that even my children - two young boys who are quite sensitive and picky about smells - love it. They run through the house with the bottle laughing, and scream "mine, mine!". To the reviewer that this is how your beach bag smells of marine air once you go back home: Spot on!
I'm already planing to get the deodorant and the body cream to make the scent last on skin.

Fior Di Salina ของ L'Erbolario

L'Erbolario has always been a treasure coffer plenty of little surprising gems and the last release confirms its validity.
Fior di Salina is extremly wellbalanced fresh breez inspired by the nature of Mediterranean coasts. It opens with the splash of bitter-sour bergamot that fades rather quickly leaving the place to aromatic mineral kind of smell - greeness of galbanum and immortel, marine salty accord and powdery sweet touch of iris. In some moments  it seems to detect even some sweet and minty notes, but mostly it's a relaxing mix of aromatic mediterranean herbes mixed with sea salt and citruses, all expressed in the form of pastels - soft and powdery! An excellent aroma, with medium sillage and good persistance, absolutely perfect to accompany whole summer.

This just got released here and my local pharmacist was kind enough to give me samples of the whole product range (perfume, shower gel, body cream & body scrub)

This scent smells extremely marine in a very natural way, and I love it! This smells like a sandy beach bag after a day at the beach, or like sun dried skin after a long swim.

It is basically a very salty citrus scent, some might find it too salty & too literal, but I like scents like that.

From the latest mineral trend this is the most natural mineral scent I have smelled, and my favorite from L'erbolario.

The only downside is the performance of the scent, it has very soft projection and you need to reapply after 2 hours, but If one uses the whole product line performance can be improved.

I am going to be getting this so I can wear it at the beach, or at home after a long day at the beach for those air-con sofa nights.
