Lacoste Pour Femme by Lacoste Fragrances is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Lacoste Pour Femme was launched in 2003. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Cresp. Top notes are Freesia, Pepper and Apple; middle notes are Heliotrope, Violet, Jasmine, Hibiscus and Rose; base notes are Suede, Sandalwood, Cedar, Incense and Labdanum.

Lacoste Pour Femme was launched a year after the launch of Lacoste for men in 2003. The creator of this perfume is Olivier Cresp. The fragrance is, as well as the entire brand, very comfortable, naturally elegant and sporty. Catharine Hurley is walking on the table – this commercial probably known to all symbolizes spontaneous beauty, easiness, and freedom of the scent and the woman who wears it.

The top notes are allspice and purple freesia. The heart introduces heliotrope and jasmine in an alliance with hibiscus blossom and Bulgarian rose. The base brings Himalayan cedar, warm woman skin accord, sandal and incense.

I've never acknowledged sport brands perfumes but this one... Oh my God!! It is addictive and amazing!! Luxurious beautiful gentle unique but actually powerful refreshing powdery scent.

I am on my journey to find fragrances from the past because nowadays scents are chaotic and doesn't last. This is a gem!

electaplume

Alright, so I picked up this perfume because it was reasonably priced, but it totally exceeded my expectations. It's wonderfully subtle, yet its sillage is impressive. I adore how versatile it is; perfect for any occasion, whether it's a day at the office or a night out on the town. Plus, what really impressed me is how it lingers, especially when spritzed on clothing.

saramariah

Omg is this also discontinued?? So many of the fragreces i love the most end up being discontinued :(

natalka999

I was looking for a fresh long lasting fragrance.. and i had a tester of this one.. Its simple fragrance, nothing new or special but its very long lasting . It is on my whishlist now for summer hot days where i cant wear something overpowering.

shellsybelle

Such a beautiful fragrance, it starts off with a sharp bang on my arm with strong pepper tones at first before it starts to mellow and melt into my skin like a warm hug. There’s something comforting I find about this perfume and it’s sad that it’s been discontinued as I have good memories wearing it and its body lotion. A classic in my view. Beautiful, sensual, comforting…

scent.2go

Is it discontinued? Hard to find...

Pastelem0

This perfume gives me absolutely nothing except a strong alchoholic opening that triggered memories of my alcoholism, literally!! I’ve tried dousing my arm in it, tried lightly applying and any way I try I get no fragrance. Maybe the slightest, lightest clean skin smell but that is it. I was hoping for a clean, violet smell but nothing nothing nothing. So disappointed.

iman.sallam.9

I think Lacoste Pour Femme is the flagship of Lacoste's perfumes.
I have been wearing it for 20+ years and I still have a half full old formulation bottle that I only use to treat myself on special days.
It screams class and confidence.
The woodiness here is one of a kind. Dry down is heavenly.
Why discontinue such beauty? Just why?

scent.2go

I will always rebuy that fragrance. So many memories. Its still beautifull scent

Jemmasnose

My first big girl fragrance after suffering through the bottles of celebrity perfumes (the bad ones, i do like a few) on sale at my local pharmacy. Stolen from my dear mummy of course, at age 14, ultimate nostalgia. Powdery, sophisticated, light and soft, wearing this to my first mock interview, i’ll always love it. I’ve found it interesting that no one has identified the spiciness as anise like? Liquorice lazy nostalgia, if only it has greater spillage and wear!

Sodastream83

This was my first signature fragrance. Nowadays when I wear it (which doesn't happen very often because I've collected so many perfumes and I'm mostly into gourmands now) I sometimes wonder why I even bothered to continue buying so many new perfumes, because I feel so comfortable in this. When I apply it I feel like I've returned home. It's the perfect clean fragrance with a little edge. It is very much suited for the office and has that girlboss vibe. I also think this is the perfect gift for a girl growing into a woman, you just can't fail with this. Lastly I highly recommend getting the matching body lotion and deodorant to make the fragrance last longer.

Kauri

This is soft as a dream, powdery with elegant, feathery florals - I would imagine that hugging one of the Golden Girls in the 80s show would smell exactly like this. <3 However, I think this is a wonderful scent for any age group - it is more defined by the softness and elegance than demographics.

LaurenSmellsGood

Blind bought this after seeing positive reviews on Youtube. Ended up choosing this as my wedding day scent! Beautiful, sexy (from the woody notes, made me feel more grown up), not overpowering and lasted all night. Holds a special place in my heart. It's so different from the other gourmand/fruity smells I usually prefer. I really enjoy this frag :)

veda

Another one that I dislike...
I had great Hope's and bought it blind.
Is it the Intense that I hate?
Is it the sandalwood?
I read that some men wearing it.
Just a unisex one for office.

To me, it smells like what a boss would smell like. It screams workplace all over it. But I don't picture a mean- designer chic- boss. Instead I see a young boss wearing this scent, discreet with her heritage although she's living a fabulous life and who knows maybe she's the Granddaughter of somebody. (I watch too much Korean Drama here) It smells so professional, sophisticated, very lady-like, luxurious, and something a very nice, kind, and humble but very successful rich young woman would wear.

Emi93

Beautiful, feminine, classy, comforting... and lasts about 4 minutes.

TaijaM

My favorite daytime perfume! I love it, my spouse loooooves it and I get compliments almost every time I wear it. It's giving that clean girl aesthetic vibe. I detect the pepper note from the bottle but not on my skin where it just smells so fresh yet soft and musky. It's like my skin but better. 3 sprays in the morning have currently lasted on me for about 10 hours and there's moderate sillage as well but nothing irritating or overpowering (and the sillage does get more intimate after a few hours). Some say the scent is more on the mature side which I don't get at all. This is so not what a mature scent is, not to me at least. However, I do think it suits women of all ages.

Betsywoolbright

I'm on the fence about this one. The top notes are nice; I can smell the suede. Then the pepper (I guess it's the pepper) dominates and it's really sharp with the musk, in the vein of CK Sheer Beauty, which just turns to Lysol on my skin. This is March. It wasn't overly cold this winter, although it hasn't warmed up yet, either; and the weather is practically identical to what we had all winter―freezing temperatures, moderate snow, and some icy driveways. I hope the sharp, jagging note will be less pronounced in the middle and late part of the spring, because I don't think I'll keep it if it behaves all year like it did upon opening it this week.

Edit: 5/9/23 I wore it in warmer weather and it's still sharp, yet not very present. Only the first few minutes smell good on me. My 12 year old daughter sprayed a half spray on her hand and it was a nice, creamy heliotrope on her. I'll still probably sell this one. It's nice and classy, but it doesn't play well with my chemistry, apparently.

d_silent_one

Yes, I second the sentiments of lola911. She said it perfectly: This is an easy going, light, non-triggering, affable fragrance. It is perfect for work, a job onterview, for the bus, for the airplane and the train. This will not bother anyone as it tends to be a skin scent. Although it is light, it is noticeable and has staying power. I've had this perfume for a long time now, probably for 13 years. It is very good, supposedly it is supposed to smell like clean skin. It comes across that way on me with an added light sweetness. One that has the same vibe (but is not the same) is Burberry Body. The scent of these two differ in that Burberry Body is sexy and Lacoste is demure and innocent, but they're both musky scents.

mkcmn

Same scent as prada luna rossa sport and cargo de nuit.. just slightly lighter scent.

lola911

The PERFECT light scent. It would be ideal to wear to work or as a signature scent. Its clean, cozy and so versatile. I do wish this were stronger. I have to spray at least 10 sprays, but I will be able to smell it on myself for most of the day. This is very non-offensive and perfect if you have migraines and are sensitive to perfumes. My co-worker has chronic migraines and ended up buying this because she smelled it on me and said that it didn't trigger her migraines. She is so happy to have a perfume that she can wear!

Buffy72

I picked up freesia and apple the first time I tried this on. It smells very clean, and fresh. I would classify this as a summer/spring scent, like it's a fragrance I would throw on for a picnic or a lazy drive around town. I remember a former classmate of mine saying that I smelled like a tennis mom when I wore this! Not sure where she got that from lol

FranziBE

I love this perfume. It’s crazy cozy.. like I’m tired took a shower put on my cozy sweater and make a cup of hot tea, and then… you spray this .. AMAZING but I can also see it as a morning spring and summer morning on my way to the street market to get flowers and coffee. I mean… need this in my life.

moonc

Very clean and cozy. I love the powdery scent so this works on me pretty well.

Fleurie20

Blind buy. I detect only a slight hint of powderness. Definitely a synthetic-smelling scent on my body, but in a very good way. It smells way more expensive than it is, gives off the air of a confident but not arrogant lady. Strike a nice balance between sweet, fruity, and floral. Staying power is standard and sillage is soft, which is exactly what I am looking for.

moonshadow

Definitely reminiscent of Noa. Great bedtime scent soft sensual and easy to wear. I love the subtle incense and musky undertones. I think this is a safe , non-offensive perfume. Something about it also reminds me of VS Heavenly. Takes me back to my youth.

alien_with_blue_eyes

My favorite women fragrance, I want my girl to wear this 😁 ....Price is very good, girls you can't go wrong with Lacoste 👌

anna222

It’s really boring and smells more masculine to me at first. Super light peppery floral. Too boring for me which is sad because the notes are really nice and i’m always excited to smell peppery or incense-y perfumes.

MargotHarow

Wore this almost 2 decades ago. Finally purchased a bottle I found on ebay. It totally went bad and smells only of pure cardamom and nothing like the fragrance I used, loved and traveled with :(

For those wanting to find bottles of this discontinued masterpiece that still exists, be aware this parfum might not age well. Or maybe I just got one that went bad.

Mira20040313

One of my favorite scents of all time. It's light but cozy, not very warm because of the airy flowers, but the suede and incense gives it beautiful depth. Its like a cool spring day, or a sunny autumn one. It's the perfect mix of warmth and airiness. I will love it forever

Marina.Klr

smells like very sweetened leather with lots of flowers and a hint of powder. I get something like peach as well. It’s good for everyday, but didn't blow me away…

tomato18

A light musky powdery floral with a touch of sweetness. It has decent silage without being obnoxious, and it’s sophisticated without taking itself too seriously.

cats_eye

Baby powder. Like a high end baby smell. Very powdery and musky.

bogdangeorgedicu

Same as KJV below. I'm a guy and this was one of my mother's perfumes. I remember just staying with the bottle in hand, smelling its atomizer non-stop. This is an absolutely incredible perfume!
Floral-Woody-Musky masterpiece

gabbi4god

I absolutely love this fragrance. It is just so easy to wear. It's inoffensive and great for all areas of life be it work, a party, a wedding etc... It is my signature scent because of this easy breezy quality. I always have to have this in my collection. Very pretty. Its a major love for me.

KJV

This was my mother’s fragrance when I was a teenager and because of it I started to recognize there is a thing called perfumes 😁 I still absolutely love it 15ish years later, especially when she wears it. I asked my wife not to buy this fragrance because in my head it’s mom's scent. 😄 Very pleasing, very comforting and clean. I’m not a fragrance expert but in my head this is a masterpiece.

Trypsito

Best perfume I've owned. Unfortunately they have discontinued it in my country.
Great mix of sensual, classy and boss vibes.
It is powdery but not overpowering, and the white flowers are very subtle.

ChristyFirefly

This fragrance is the most versatile of those that I know. It is both creamy and fresh. It doesn't draw attention to itself, but I can't call Lacoste faceless. It will not be the main decoration of its owner, but it will complement the woman who put it on. It is feminine and calm, but sexy because of its tenderness. But it's not vulgar. This sexuality is elusive.

KateElizabeth

This is a terrific and affordable perfume for anyone who prefers softer, gentler scents. What stands out to me most is the hint of incense that carries throughout this perfume; it adds just enough depth to keep it interesting but never invades one's space. I'm not sure if I'll repurchase this one, but I use it several times a week, and it's also a nice bedtime scent. I find it has surprisingly good staying power for a gentle perfume. I used about 3-4 sprays this morning under my sweater and I was catching whiffs of it throughout the day, even after I got home from work--all-in-all about a 10-hour day.

MissLory33

Blind buy, love it!
Feminine light intimate scent. Safe for work.
But it is nothing special, more like a smell of fresh and clean lady, that’s all.

Zaitseva

That incense note is what I'm crazy about in this perfume. It makes me feel spiritual, wanting to read poetry, philosophical books, burn candles, read the Bible, read Tarot cards, go to church, think about the eternal and important things in life, and wear accessories, like cashmere and silk scarves. The only bummer is that my bottle (made in Spain) has no lasting power. What's important about incense here is that it's not the "in-your-face" type of incense, but because of a carefully constructed and complex pyramid - very subtle and gentle incense, and that's what makes it so divine. In my opinion, this is a very Wiccan kind of perfume, but of course, it is absolutely appropriate from any type of setting - from office to theater. However, people might not be able to smell it on you, because as I said, it doesn't project and doesn't last.

cookygirl

This scent is playing peek-a-boo with me.
The fragrance itself is beautiful, exactly as I'd imagined it and as I'd hoped for.
This was a blind buy, based on reviews here, intended to fill the vacancy in my collection that has been present since my bottle of pre-reformulaton Noa turned.
Lacoste pour Femme is very reminiscent of Noa indeed, in vibe and in the scent itself. It also has some of that magic sparkle that Noa had before it was recently dumbed down. Olivier Cresp's touch is very much present here as in Noa.
Problem is that the reviews were also right in terms of this scent's elusiveness.
I can't say I wasn't warned but I'm still frustrated. If only it had a quarter of Noa's nuclear (on me at least) presence and longevity. Ok, I don't really need the longevity, I can always reapply, I just want to be able to smell this gem consistently and distinctly until it fades.
Maybe I will use this scent to layer with others. I could see it going well with other low-key scents like Omnia Amethyst or Prada Iris or maybe I could use it to restore some sparkle to the new Noa .

Edit - over a year later now and I have come to really love this scent. It's still very low-key but I am able to smell it consistently now. I really find that sometimes my nose has a learning curve when it comes to new scents.

la_chat25

Love love love, it's been years and never gets bored, it is one of my signature fragrance, and always become an add-on list before another parfume, since it's hard to find here and expensive in my currency rate 😔.

It definitely blends on my skin, so fresh and airy, cold, as if you just finished from shower and leaves the scent from soap but not a soapy smell, i think the sweet scent came from the apple, I can't describe perfectly what kinda note or scent but everytime i spray or passing by my coleagues will definitely ask what parfume i wear.

i would say this scent is perfectly created, many say it smells like scented sanrio letter paper. Although the longevity is weak on my skin but it leaves a good scent on the clothes and fabrics whenever my clothe sticked to them, i guessed because i was showering parfume not spraying it 😁

chiva

Am I anosmic? I can't smell anything at all. I blind bought this perfume after reading the reviews here, hoping to be amazed. I wonder if other people can smell it on me? I wonder if *I* will be able to smell it later (I put it on about 15 minutes ago). I guess I'll have to come back after wearing the fragrance for a few days to give a fair review.

electric_evelyn

This is nice, but it just doesn’t last on me. I consider it a mood uplifting scent, since I feel it max one hour after spraying - then it’s gone (even on clothes). I don’t know which company produced the first Lacoste, but this version is from Coty. The perfumes I had from Coty all lack longevity and sillage.

I would include this in the “innocent scents” category, along with Cacharel Noa and Calvin Klein Beauty and anything similar.

These are all tame scents, the kind that don’t suffocate you or the others.
This Lacoste is powdery and floral, it does feel like a “cosmetic product” standard scent.

I would have used this very fast, because you have to overspray. So I just made peace with myself and found it another owner.

guccy

This site promotes hate against LGBTQ people.

ViouAmara

Everybody like it, I was sure I would too ; but all I got was a terrible washing powder smell and a bad headache ? So, not for me, I’m sad… oh my poor head.

Klio

White tee&Jeans of perfumes.

Safe blind buy, casual and feminine at the same time.

PS_Nora

it should be illegal to give me free samples... now I want this one TOO. I guess I just reallllly like powdery floral soft scents. I doubt anyone would hate this one, safe gift choice or blind buy in my opinion.

queen.atossa

Very baby-powdery, at the same time sophisticated lady-ish. Absolutely a staple if you're into powdery scents like me! Don't hesitate, buy one!

windywolf

It's my signature of all times. I have had this for almost 10 years and still loving it. It's not something that would turn head, but it blend really well with my skin. The mature feminine and the kick of pepper work well with each other, and somehow match really good with my personality. This is my first perfume and I canno describe how much I love it.
My lover also likes this one a lot. He said it smells like a women that want to be close with. LOL.

Magifera

I really think the longevity depends on your nose with this one. I misted myself with 4 spritzes before 6 am, and I am still catching pleasant whiffs 10 hours later. The scent definitely stays with me all day! So glad I repurchased it. Lacoste Pour Femme was my first "grown up" perfume gifted by loving parents on my 18th birthday. To me, it will always be the smell of fun careless days, purity, cleanliness, new horizons, young hopes and endless dreams.

laren

For me, it might be the best scent for everyday use❤

Princess_Moth

Vey good office or casual scent for the woman on the go.It is not sweet or childish its not offensive, a bit spicy and mature, classic and easy to wear and the price is good.

Jazieboo7410

This has been my moms signature scent for probably 15 years and it has always smelled amazing on her. I finally decided to buy myself a bottle and I’m so happy I did. Lacoste Pour femme is the definition of a creamy fresh scent. This is such an effortless sensual fragrance. I think it suits any occasion and any season. I can’t get over how creamy it is without it being cloying or sugary. Another thing that’s nice about this scent is it’s really different than what you’re smelling on the market these days so you will definitely not smell like everyone else. I love this layered with Waikiki beach coconut lotion from bath and body works. It’s a divine combination.

My 3 year old daughter smelled it on me and said “omg mommy! You smell sooooo good!” That’s a huge compliment because she can be particular about scents. She even asked to sniff me a few times there after.

sugar&spice

Just testing this and was really hoping to like it... but unfortunately it smells like washing up liquid on my skin, then develops into something that is giving me a bad headache. Think I'll need to take a tablet and scrub it off!

MargotHarow

This scent always transported me to airports and traveling. I dont know why, but even before it actually accompanied me traveling to Asia, it reminded me of airports (pre Covid insanity) and well planned traveling in Asia. Or maybe I imagine this, and the memory came after. Amazing layered but non offensive scent. Beautiful composition. High quality and can be found cheap.

ambergeese

I wanted to like this because it has an alligator on it, and I like alligators. Something about that logic must have worked, because I like this more than I expected to.

On application, this is a pure-alcohol nose burner. Once that clears, the place this takes me to is... a doctor's office. My first thought was an optician's, but really a pediatrician's is more accurate, with the clean alcohol smell in the air, along with the newly sanitized counters and surfaces, the crinkly paper, and the mild, unplaceable powdery sweetness.

In another minute or two, that sweetness grows to something bigger and softer, like a powdery squishy marshmallow. It's heliotrope! The honey-sweetness of it is so lovely in the back of my throat. It stands out against its bed of dull clean and powdery smells, and perhaps that's the point.

The sharpness of the pepper plays brilliantly to accentuate and amplify the sharp alcohol smell of hand sanitizer, and the fantasy freesia creates the atmosphere of vaguely floral white-walled cleanliness. As you breathe in deeper to try to understand this pervasive alcohol-sharpness, all the powder and hints of violet soap hit you, and that honeyed heliotrope goes flying into the back of your mouth like a candy reward after a doctor's appointment. I don't get more than a hint of that artificial apple note, which is a relief. It's like the faint smell of detangler left in your hair from that morning, occasionally giving you a tiny fake-apple whiff.

All in all, this is fascinating, bewitchingly odd, and far from the worst designer early 2000s fragrance. Would I, personally, want to smell like a pediatrician's office? Not really. Am I a sucker for honey-sweet heliotrope? Am I deeply fascinated by the world I've been transported to by this scent? Yes and yes.

I'm not sure whether I'm the only one that gets a clinical vibe, but I keep breathing it in over and over again because I want more of that heliotrope.

spicypepper_77

This is one of my mom's favorite scents, such a mature, womanly smell when you spritz this on. Since scents provide a good recall, I even bought myself a bottle, it brings back memories of my mom.

yazeed_az

Very bad performance, amazing smell

jay.shouse

This is not my smell at all, I just bought it at Ross. It doesn’t work with body chemistry!! It only lasted like 15 mins on my skin I sprayed several sprays. Big pass for me.

theuntrainednose

I have a sample.

---

I am not sure how to describe it. Between meh and nice. Between fresh and lightly woody, between watery floral and vaguely peppery. Reminds me of Gap Close in spirit, if not in notes. However, I love Gap Close. This one I find forgettable and meh.

Neuropunkt

I got a bottle in a lot I've purchased cheap online and simply cannot believe someone practically gave it for free, cause this Lacoste is a true gem. It's fresh, it's somewhat sweet and it is absolutely seductive- in a mature, sophisticated way. It's sporty business like. It makes a non offensive statement because it's pleasent AND fascinating. On my skin it's mostly the suede note that stands out. Creamy, peppery, sweet suede.
There's something Max Mara Kashmina -ish to it, although these two share almost no notes.
It starts with a decent silage but unfortunately after couple of hours it's completely gone leaving nothing- not even a faint trace.
It is a keeper anyway- even if just for the sake of its similarity to Kashmina.

dglightblue

Reminds me of Noa, byzance (new) mont blanc signature..
Slightly dry, rounded, dense, talc clean scent.
Theres a creaminess though not lush or freshie.

The listed notes dont ring true to me really.
And i can get the dryness coming from the woods.

Edit: only lasted a couple of hours. Sprayed around 7.30pm, its now 9.50pm and this really is a skin scent. The remaining smell is a rounded slightly dry yet still dense powdery smell - not like make up, not like old school powdery florals.... if it was a bit stronger maybe... I’m undecided on this one

nancy.france

Extremely light and close to the skin, this is a wonderful soft, very feminine woody fragrance.

It is quite similar to To Be Tattoo Art for her with less of the sweet girly-ness.

Love them both.

Unfortunately, very poor sillage.

Shwets

This is my favourite clean second skin scent. When im not in a mood for smelling 'perfumey', i reach out for this one.
It is very light on me and close to the skin. I can hardly smell it as i go about with my day. But it lingers on the clothes gently. Reminds me of a freshly washed baby (not in a baby powder way).

bintTapputi

In my opinion this makes a great sporty fragrance. It's clean, fresh, light and simple. Need to lean into it to catch a whiff of it. 6.5/10

menopalu

I love it so much. I can't believe I found my new favourite scent for summer. It is very fresh and clean but not simple. I layered it with Narciso and it smells AMAZING. One downside, it doesn't last more than 15 minutes.

majka345

Yes ,this is soo good clean and fresh for spring or summer ,but longevity very weak

Kath Grace

I love many of Olivier Cresp's creations and this one is no exception. On ny search to find a fragrance that I love as much as Max Mara Kashmina Touch (also Cresp), I came upon this. There are similatities and while its not Kashmina, I do enjoy this. Beautiful skin scent. Comforting, cozy and warm. Love.

nightcutter

I've always liked this although I've also always wished it was more potent. I've just bought a new Coty bottle and the performance is absolutely abysmal. It's pretty much bottled water. Lasts about 45 minutes...

JustSimpleThings

It's hard to describe this beauty with words. It's just delightful! It's like the scent of warm, clean skin. Very well-balanced, it is hard to make out individual notes.

What it is:
effortlessly elegant
cozy
slightly sexy

What it isn't:
loud
easy to detect
shrill

This is great as a "no perfume" perfume, to me. This is what I imagine Molecule 1 or JHAG "Not a perfume" should smell like.

Delia32

I could simply not get to love or even like this one. It lacks sweetness and femininity, IMO. Good longevity, great price value , very wear-able, just not my kind of thing. On me , it smells super plain, a bit sporty, not exciting at all. Gave it away after a few wears, with not regret.

xodvm

This scent is so pretty! It's just such shame it doesn't last very long. Pour Femme is very fresh, kinda sweet and totally charming. Definitely easy to wear, not offensive, overall safe buy. I paid $20 for it so not too bad, I am just so sad that it disappears in 20 minutes on me. It 's a great scent to keep in a purse or gym bag to freshen up.

missk

Lacoste Pour Femme is a charming clean-suede scent, similar in style to Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist and Agent Provocateur Maitresse. This is an easy fragrance to wear; unobtrusive, subtle and simple. You would wear a fragrance like Lacoste Pour Femme to an office environment, whilst running errands or straight out of the shower.

I really enjoy clean, comforting fragrances like this one. Sometimes my scent wardrobe can be a little overwhelming and it's nice to fall-back on scents that provide some sensory relief. Lacoste Pour Femme is fairly linear with a soothing blend of suede, soapy freesia, black pepper, crisp apple, almondy heliotrope and creamy sandalwood. Although Lacoste is a 'sporty' designer brand, Lacoste Pour Femme is not a sporty scent, it is, however, a casual fragrance.

Thankfully this fragrance is still in production and it has no shortage of fans. Despite enjoying this fragrance, I don't think I'd ever purchase Lacoste Pour Femme as I am a little more enamoured with Cashmere Mist which I consider quite similar. The longevity is relatively good, lasting approximately seven hours on my skin. The projection is soft and intimate, so if you're seeking a stronger scent trail you may need to go heavier with the sprays.

I consider Lacoste Pour Femme a relatively safe blind purchase, particularly if you enjoy clean powdery and/or soapy florals. This fragrance won't be a stand-out in your collection but don't be surprised if you reach for it more than you might anticipate as it is quite versatile.

Coffeeandperfume

This is very feminine, not too sweet, not too floral, very rounded fragrance. It can be worn all year round, for any occasion. It's really safe, there's nothing crazy about it. Unexpectedly, there's nothing sporty about it, either (being a Lacoste). I'd call it mature, although a girl would pull that off very nicely.

You can wear this when you don't know what to wear. Good for travel and vacation - one of the sturdiest bottles ever, inexpensive, appropriate for any occasion, any time of day or evening. And if you lose it, oh well, it's 20 bucks on Fragrancenet.

i got a sample and i fell in love , so powdery and clean , this is really my type . i ordered the big bottle for sure

This soft, sensual, slightly heady floral is a classic and hidden gem that I love. I never fail to receive compliments on it, and it is incredibly well blended. It's one of those fragrances I pull out and remember that I love wearing it, and feel beautiful when I do. I hope this one stays around, and is reintroduced with powder, shower gel and lotion. It's without a doubt a keeper in the fragrance world, and I will never be without this one.

I own so many classic and niche perfumes because I love fragrance, but I have to say......as a standout beautiful scent that is feminine and soft (and memorable) without being too fresh, spicy, sweet or strong, you can safely call this one a signature or wear freely, and compliments will come.

A few years ago, my husband was smelling fragrances at the Duty Free, and when he smelt this he grabbed a bottle for himself. Back then he was still under the influence of marketing and genuinely believed that what was marketed towards women could ONLY be worn my women and so on. He was devastated that this is a "for women" scent and stubbornly insisted that "Pour Femme" is just the name of the fragrance and that it means nothing, and that this is actually a masculine scent. Ugh, men and their fragile egos *eyeroll*. Now that he's older and wiser he acknowledges his mistake and wears it with great joy. It's one of his top favorite fragrances!

To be honest, it's a truly beautiful scent on him. It's slightly creamy, peaceful and mature. A little frisky at times, but only ever so slightly.

milabb69

Perfect for office and daily casual wear. Smells great, fresh, clean without the forest feel to it. It's almost like smelling a crisp white long sleeve in the morning. Reminds me of a lady starting her career and just wanna smell great but not over the top.

danabaden

A very light and nice fragrance, but only lasts for an hour or max two

panda12345

beautiful powdery elegant scent but light

JetsBabe

I have both this fragrance and lacoste pour femme Legere which is 5 million times better.

Honestly, I expected this to be better. A LITTLE similar due to this perfume, for a minute (literally) having citrus appear.

However, delicious citrus note disappears instantly, subsequently becoming suede, pepper, etc. This is also not long lasting considering a perfume! No wonder its intense version now exists. And just notice only perfumes that aren't long-lasting develop an "intense" version.

Disappointed!!! Would rather wear legere any day. And by the way, in my opinion, does not smell like legere at all

PS: Drydown similar to parade candy

876Beauty

A very unique soapy, slightly floral that is creamy and warm from the suede note. Does not last as long as I'd like but this is an excellent fragrance to wear when you don't want to offend someone who might be sensitive to fragrances.

Perfumedsecrets

Someone mentioned it being in the same family as Sensi, and I do agree with that. This is one of those perfumes from the early 00's that I bought and enjoyed--then forgot about it. Very affordable online.

alioni4ka

A very nice perfume, literally surrounds you with its beautiful aura. At first spray, i get some creamy freesia and a slight coffee , but very slight. It s not an attention keeper but people will definetly tell you how good u smell when they come closer. As it s mentioned before; it s very classy, sporty and elegant at the same time. Not a big fan of Lacoste smells but this one s really good; i believe almost everyone d like it but somehow it s not a generic smell. To me only problem about this perfume is its longevity; on my skin it s super weak and sillage s not good; it stays as a skin perfume. One or one and a half hour after spraying it i can barely smell and after 2-3 hours it s just gone.

Luna_J

A recent gift for my daughter, who at seventeen is graduating from more self-conscious sweet and youthful fragrances to more sophisticated compositions. The sillage from this is lovely: suede, peppery freesia and musk that seems to shift and change continually revealing different aspects of floral accords and soft textures. I agree with those below who note that tis is an 'aura' scent that, though not overbearing as 'perfume' is nonetheless a very definite presence. A great scent for someone who is looking for ways to project presence that is defining without playing aggressively to type; I can see how this would make a very recognizable and memorable signature for someone.

noknok_1

Lacoste Pour Femme is my all time favorite perfume. I've tried a lot of perfumes but this one has been my favorite up to now. You can never go wrong with this scent. People always love to smell me whenever I uses this one. Its not annoying like other scent. And last a long time too. It's like you leave a scent when you're walking and its windy. So fresh and i just really love it.

bolla2909

I think I've finally experienced being anosmic to a scent. I've read tons of reviews where people say they can't smell a thing, and I've never understood it until now. I can smell it right in the beginning. It opens up with a lot of alcohol and for the first minute that's all I can smell. Then I smell soapy suede. Maybe with a hint of pepper. The scent is very pleasant to my nose, clean and soft but not generic. This one would be pretty easy to identify I think. It does give me a nostalgia flashback, but I can't put my finger on why. But then, poof, gone. Or so I thought. I sprayed quite heavily on myself and about 10 minutes later I didn't smell a thing. I thought to myself oh well it wasn't expensive at least and then forgot about it. Hours later my mom was saying goodnight and gave me a hug, and while she was doing that she said "oh wow you smell so nice!". I was very surprised because a) my mom has smoked for 30 years and her sense of smell is limited and she usually hates perfumes, if she can smell them at all and b) I couldn't smell a thing on myself and it had literally been 6 hours since I sprayed it on. She then went on to sniff me some more and said it was beautiful. That's not what my mom does at all, ever. So this one is tricky for me. I can't smell a thing but my perfume hating, usually anosmic mom both loved it and smelled it! I'm going to keep it for a while before I give it away, just to see if something changes because I really like the scent for those 3 minutes I can detect it. I would recommend it for the scent alone but still I'd say try it out before because you might have a nose like me 😅

Edit May 2020
To my pleasant surprise I was able to "train my nose" better. After a couple of wearings I started to actually smell it on me for longer than a couple of minutes. And it's not like a "oh I smell a perfume" thing, I more smell this incredible fresh aura around me when I wear it. Every now and again I catch a whiff of something so airy and pleasant. It's like I'm putting on a dose of fresh air. Which I think is amazing. I love it. Will be keeping it to myself!

sophiagardenia

Oh my God!! This one is absolutely stunning. It evokes nostalgia from roaming in the South of France and after being sunbathed, and stumbling upon a beautiful department store, it's warm and comforting, yet clean and elegant. This one could almost be a unisex fragrance in my opinion as the suede, cedar, sandalwood, pepper all evoke a masculine feel, but it is beautifully balanced with the garden of flowers like freesia and jasmine and hibiscus. It's so gorgeous!! This mix keeps it from smelling like "too much". It's such a timeless scent and really makes you feel refined and elegant, but not in an over-the-top or loud kind of way. Is it odd i just got my bottle and already want to buy a few back ups?!? My only issue is that it doesn't seem to last extremely long on my skin. Suede and leather smells usually dissipate quite quickly with my body chemistry. Nevertheless, a gorgeous scent I will continue to wear and buy... might become my new daytime signature!! I love deep, rich, spicy scents too much to make this a nighttime signature as well - I'll leave that spot to Fever by Jimmy Choo!
Update: I find it only lasts no more than 10-15 minutes on my skin :(( Damn skin chemistry!

It's beautiful. Clean but not in a soapy way. Spicy but not in a clove type of way. SLIGHTLY powdery but not in a baby powder type of way. An absolute crowd pleaser but not in a "generic" way. A compliment magnet without being "loud." And beautifully gentle without being undetectable.

This is truly a unique perfume, I have never smelled anything that smells like it. It's gorgeous and it does not scream for attention like other perfumes. It's the woman at the party that doesn't have to walk down the stairs in a lavish, huge, poofy dress with dark red lip stick to be noticed. This perfume is like the woman at a party that can be standing in the corner with little to no make up on and be so undeniably beautiful that she will inevitably be noticed anyway with no effort in doing so.

I recommend this one for fall and winter but can most definitely be worn in the beginning of spring too. Only months of the year I wouldn't reach for this one is the months of the summer with scorching heat.

The suede, pepper, and sandalwood in this come together to be SO damn beautiful, warm, cozy, and clean. It really is just so well done.

Longevity - About 6 hours on skin. About 24 hours on clothing.

Projection - Starts off with about 3 feet projection. But remains projecting 1-2 feet for it's whole life. It's got such a nice radiating quality to it. It's never too strong and never too weak.

Overall Score - I think I'd give this one a 9/10 easily. It's gorgeous. Very age versatile as well. I'm in my 20s and I wear this. And I can picture anyone in their 50s wearing this. Big thumbs up to Lacoste for this one. I hope it NEVER gets discontinued.

fayedomnia

Unfortunately it smells like bug spray on my skin. Try on skin before you buy it.

Nonzerosumness

It literally smells like having just come out of the shower, which I don't generally dislike since own and enjoy several from the 'Clean' line, however, this doesn't have their performance.

clairemedlicott

To me it's a masterpiece! I can't pick out this note or that, it doesn't smell of anything but Lacoste pour femme. Its seamlessly blended. Clean, soft, slightly warm, powdery. One of only two of my 're-perchases'.

Lixa

This perfume was my favorite circa 2000, when it was first released, in its original yellow box. It was simply mesmerizing and unique, intense and unforgettable masterpiece. The memory of it is still crystal clear. That was (and would still be) the BEST, most wonderous perfume in the world. The epitome of abstraction. I also remember that violin tune that went with the original ad. This perfume was a miracle.

And then, at some point, they reformulated it and put it in a white box. Now it's just scented tap water, with the intensity and persistence of a body spray, a pale shadow of its former self. Very unfortunate, but I will not buy it any longer. Damn I miss it!

menna81

This perfume what made me fell in love with fragrance world! It's not sporty, it's sexy, powdery, a bit mature sweet, elegant, and cozy! Yes, all in one!! Very underrated fragrance that deserves much much love! Heaven in a bottle.... Oh, and I finished about 5 bottles since I discovered it❤

mevans

This is a nice, fresh and clean daily wear fragrance. Perfect for daytime casual wear. I definitely get the freesia and apple, not so much the spice. It's very smooth.

Aria1964

Ode to my beloved BFF:
I love you as you're beautiful, elegant, reliable, flexible, and we're ever so compatible!
Though I have hundreds of perfumes, you are my signature scent. I fall back on you whenever I'm in a quandary as to what scent to wear, or I simply feel like being myself. You never fail to garner compliments, and you're one of the few perfumes that my husband and I agree on. You're appropriate for all occasions and all seasons.
Your blend is masterful (thank you Mr. Cresp!). Heady freesia, softened and warmed by suede and piqued by pepper. So delightful!
I keep thinking that one day I'll grow bored of you, but I never do!

colorfulmess

This takes some getting used to so I would say it smells better the more I wear it. At first it seems plasticky and artificial with way too much alcohol, but after about 2 hours of wear, I wanted another spray. Over time the spiciness came through and warming up on the skin really did it wonders. I think this is great for soft/spicy fans.

elledeelee

Sad that I could pick up on absolutely no suede or pepper in this one. Hard to pick out any prominent notes in fact, but this fragrance does smell like someone sporty would wear it, so at least they are definitely on brand. It has a clean, soapy sweetness to it, but the overall vibe is just very plain and boring. I think they were going for fresh cotton but they ended up with white A4 paper.

UnearthlyApothecary

I have loved this scent for a long time now, please read my previous review for more details but I had previously sought out the pre reformulation “gold” version after reading reviews saying the newer version had terrible performance, etc. I recently won a reformulated version bottle in a giveaway and man, I love it! I actually find the performance better then the old version! I can still smell it clearly on my skin in the morning after wearing it to bed the previous night. The scent is slightly different, the heavy opening that you can kind of taste in your mouth ( no idea what note/aroma chemical caused it) is MUCH more mellow. You get more of the woodsy drydown right from the beginning. All in all I would say, don’t just write off the newer version right off the bat, I did and it was a HUGE mistake! I much prefer the newer formulation.

ginagi

Absolutely one of the most magnetic fragrances ever! The reason I am not buying it anymore is longevity. Not even half an hour on my skin.

kastehelmi

I was sure I should love this reading all of the reviews. I love a creamy warm skin powdery perfume that is also clean, I love some soapiness sometimes, I tend to like leather a lot of the time...

Unfortunately, the people who are saying it is generic have a reason. This doesn't smell generic or cheap to me, but it is just doesn't have the magic that makes a wonderful creamy skin scent, a brilliant powder, or anything floral that is love to me.
This doesn't smell soapy to me, but does have a consistent bath product quality. Maybe it's the purple freesia. The cedar that is omnipresent in fresher perfumes is the backbone here, just enough to cut the creamy musk leather. Honestly I like how it smells, I know I would probably like it more the more I wear it, but I got the decant through a subscription service, and decided to exchange it.

When there are so many perfumes I like so so much more, it seems a waste to choose to keep this instead of my other recent favorites...

aelserafy

Generic, soapy and fresh. I don't get leather at all.

Sibel_613

Really clean and elegant. like taking a new shower.

lrnonken

top for summer but good all year, with a fresh somewhat soapy / hand cream scent, clean floral, pepperey, in my opinion very unisex with a tiny bit of a masculine note, medium longevity.

Daliadivine

My first real perfume. Smell it on my Sister and had to have it. I had it many years now i cant wear it anymore. Very warm and feminim and watery. Anyone could wear it but its not a sexy scent. Maybe for mature women.

Kin

I like this one very much but it's too populat. Everybody likes it and half of my family/friends/coworkers wears it. I have a friend who sprays whole house with cheaper version :D

gpaisley

The dry down of this perfume actually reminds me of Mary-Kate and Ashley 'Two' perfume - which is described as a juicy peach freesia EDT.

greenbluegray

I read all of your reviews here and figured I would love this springish scent by Oliver Cresp who has made so many that I swoon over. So I bought some shower gel and could not stop sniffing my hands after I washed them with it. If you like Burberry Beat, I think you will go for LPF, and now I am interested to try the flankers.

Longevity is mild indeed for an EDP as you have told me. But there is an Intense version that I must get my paws on.

I get a fresh citrus woody floral that is sparkly and bright. It makes me feel like wearing pink and getting some blond in my hair, lol. There is a hint of fresh 80s shampoo that intoxicates me, maybe a slight pink pepper (which doesn't smell peppery to me but is the same note in many fragrances I love). Or is that the freesia?

I've been obsessed by musky vanilla all winter and maybe needed to lighten up for spring. This is perfect for the job.

pipergirl

This is pretty - a simple, light, fresh, feminine scent that is lovely and inoffensive. There's nothing ground breaking about it and no particular note really stands out to me but it's a great choice for an easy, go everywhere fragrance. It always smells so nice.

marinaw90

Initially I thought wow this is comforting and pretty.

It's like a long lost friend. I've definitely smelt this before, and there are undoubtedly other fragrances like this. It is likely pretty when smelt on someone else who doesn't have to smell the drydown.

I think the suede note is putting me off in the drydown. I should like everything about this scent but it's just that one note that is weird. The only way I can describe this drydown is horses laying in hay. Not something I want on my arm :/

If ONLY it was stronger too. This is an EDP that performs like an EDT.

shusha

Today I tried this perfume following all the good reviews here. Well... it smells like pickle juice on me, seriously! It's so strange, my skin doesn't absorb perfumes very well and some perfumes end up smelling pretty bad on me, but this is a first. It wasn't bad per se, but it did make me laugh a lot. I almost blind bought it but noticed the local shop had a tester so I am really glad I tried it first. This perfume is definitely too risky for a blind buy.

rvs1182

This is a very easy to wear clean mild beautiful fragrance. You need not think twice about wearing this to any place. Can be a very non offensive work wear as well. Projection is mild and lasts well over 5-6 hours. Neatly done. Already purchased a back up bottle just in case they discontinue this fragrance. Love it!

Namarie

very good smell i cant compare to another one but longevity is not enough on me and sillage too

amberbella

So bummed! I guess “warm woman skin accord” means musk? I hate musk and this is 100% musk on me. Perhaps the worst blind buy ever. I was so excited y all the positive reviews listing florals and a soft powdery sweetness, but here I sit with annoying musk on my arm. How is musk not listed?

Małgoś

Very classy, very floral, very powdery, quite strong too, in the good sense, sillage is fantastic, longevity - whole day, this is also very... too mature for me. I will give it a try once again in 10 years' time.

Zoita

Another timeless classic. Affordable, sweet, but in a youthful way, plain and simple, wonderful smell. Love it, can't wait to have it!

Lily Smiles

Lacoste Pour Femme is a beautiful perfume but I wish it was stronger and longer lasting. When I wear this perfume I feel I am wearing the perfect perfume for me. Creamy powdery
gorgeous. A really special perfume. Sensual and a joy to wear.

Cmed

And I don't detect pepper with this. It's so smooth

meligonlan

What a classy smell ! Too bad it doesn't last long.

Perfumista301

Quite Nice.Gentle, spicy and powdery.I think i may just get a bottle.

agado

I love the smell, so delicate and gentle...but it doesn't last long :( I can't barely smell it on me

VioletScented

I joined fragrantica and was so surprised to find one of the most intensive notes in this is pepper. I had the original years ago and could barely detect pepper, just a clean floral powder. I repurchased recently because I was feeling nostalgic and the pepper is so strong on my skin, it actually makes me feel unwell. Luckily, it fades away and it transforms into the scent I remember; however, it's so much lighter than it used to be.

beautyinthemundane

Both my girlfriend and her mum wear this and it amazes me how different it smells on them both. Her mum has recently turned 60 and wears this as her signature scent and it is truly lovely on her: clean-sweet, gentle and soft as a cashmere scarf. On my girlfriend, who's mid-30s and wears this only occasionally, it smells sharper and more floral, almost soapy in fact. I didn't actually realise it was the same perfume until I asked them both! This is one of those perfumes that is undeniably nice but is in no danger of setting the world alight. It suits all ages and a wide variety of situations (though I'd suggest it's more everyday/signature than special occasion). It's enduring popularity is testament to what a delightful and well-crafted creation this is and I would say this is both a safe blind-buy and gift option.

malince555

This is the most beautiful and sensual perfume I’ve ever used. Such a beauty. Is very feminine, pleasant not too strong but at same time everyone around you feels you have such a great perfume on you. It’s my favorite and i will continue using it

imochy

I recently discovered this perfume (OMG, where have I been?) and in my mind, I was thinking that if Innocence has scent, this would be it!!!!

OMG! Smells SO NICE!
Fluffy, powdery, so cuuuuute!
Okay, I gotta go pick two bottles now.

Cmed

DMy fav at the moment. So comforting but sensual at the same time. I'm late to the party because it's not what i would expect from a sports brand. To me it smells like perfect skin soft, creamy and a little warm. It really is SOFT floral which is a really clear line for me since I love SOFT floral but don't like floral haha.

unlitcigar

This scent reminds me of Ice Cream. Cool, creamy, sweet, fluffy, soft flavoured.

It is not at all a gourmand, yet I feel enveloped in its fluffy texture.

Reminds me somewhat of Marks & Spencers Autograph range.

Venusia

I wear it quite often lately. It slowly becomes one of my favourites. It has no phase where I can say it bothers. I find it easy to like, very feminine and the special dry down with flowery perfumed fine leather is unique. Very well made fragrance! And it lasts around 7-8 hours with good silage the whole time!

Rinio

Very nice perfume. Had it twice. Miss it. Feel jealous when smelling it on other women. It treated me nice...It was a pleasant, warm, quiet and deeply sensual companion. Am now too curious to try new stuff out than go buy it again. Naughty me-very disloyal when it comes to fragrance;)

Mirabele

well, i had this four years ago and swapped it away. all this time i was looking for my perfect floral woody musk scent, only to come back to this beauty! soft, comforting, musky, suede, feminine, low sillage, non-descriptive, a bit sweet, sensual, warm-skinscent. my perfect beauty. i do really love it now. i was wearing it non sop for several days after i got it, i just wish it lasted longer, i dont smell it so good on myself after a few hours.

ANNAFRYS

Sexy... floral.... musky.. powdery ... scent...its all about how women fragrance should be.

lovecake123

One spritz is all it takes to make people tell me how good I smell. I like this year round because the florals work for spring but it's warm enough for winter. A beautiful floral blend with sandalwood is how my skin interprets this. I love florals without patchouli so this ultra feminine fragrance is one of my favorites.

tessture

Very milky white powdery. Quite sheer. I want to love it, but there's just too much talcum powder with a hint of medicated old style foot powder. Not a go for me

UnearthlyApothecary

The opening is a little rough for me I just really don't like it BUT thank goodness it softens pretty quickly into a lovely powdery/ creamy sandal/leather/heliotrope. Smells amazing but silage is too skin close for my liking. I think it is a great classy, sophisticated every day type of scent. I just wish it had a little more power :(
UPDATE: After using up my decant, I finally bought a pre reformulation FB as this has become my bedtime comfort scent. Honestly I don't notice a huge difference in scent or silage. I thought it would be a very noticeable difference.i could have saved some $ just buying the cheaper new version, I think it's horrible how high the prices for the older ones are. Very glad to own this though, I still think it's a great creamy comfort scent.

trcherrera

A signature worthy perfume. Classy. Chic. Composed.

Soofiya

Today I saw lacoste pour femme(white box with silver lines so it's post reformulation version)much cheaper than other perfume shops (a 3oz bottle was 35 bucks while it's 55 bucks elsewhere)it's been in my wantlist for a long so I bought it,a blindbuy
About it's bottle,it's glass part is good, simple, easy to use and timeless like the juice it contains but it's cap looks cheap.it looks much better if they change it's cap
Now about the scent itself
I wish I could write an interesting review for it.talk about it's notes and scent development but honestly I can't. at least not yet.on my skin it opens with soft freesia and fruity freshness(I can't smell any specific fruit note but I can feel a fruity freshness, like crispness of apple forexample,I also can't detect much pepper)gradually it becomes warmer and rounder and finally dries down to a combination of powdery flowers, subtle creamy woods and a pleasant clean warmness which grounds everything,it can be imagined as warm, woman skin or a soft suede note
Lacoste pour femme is a clean scent but it's different from typical clean perfumes.it's also warm and alive unlike cold, deregent like chemical scents (which I also like,I love clean scents in all of their variations).lacoste pour femme may seem very simple and safe, yes it is,but at the same time it's original and has character.it's smooth, pleasant, comfortable.brings a woman with high understanding, adaptability and sympathy to mind, quiet but she has a warmth in her smile that makes people to become close to her easily.she's also smart, chic and modern
All in all lacoste pour femme is far from my imaginations.I expected something peppery and leathery not this soft and creamy but I can call it a very successful blindbuy as it's much better than my thoughts.it's good to have such a timeless perfume.it's suitable for various occasions specially job environment and daily wear but it's not ageless IMHO.I can't see it on a young girl unless she's more sophisticated than her age.generally I think it's a +25 or even +30 perfume just because of it's ladylike theme
I need more wears for writing a detailed review,I sprayed it 5 hours ago and it's still easily noticeable but sillage seems to be moderate at best.I can't call it a love yet but I can say I like it very much.it's a signature material if you're into soft, smooth and comforting fragrances
Edit:
It stays on my skin for +10 hours!!
I can't imagine longevity of Pre reformulation version as the new version has such a great longevity and satisfying projection yet alot of people seem to be unhappy for reformulation
Edit 2:
It's scent has a sort of minty-smokey vibe on my skin, this two words:minty and smokey sound scarey and if I read them in a review I'd probably affraid of blindbuying it but actually it's very pleasant!
Like a mint flavoured incense stick burning in a distance and a whisper of it's aroma mingling with powdery floral-creamy woods-soft warm suede combination
I love it! So addictive!

raiza1990

I would not buy it for me, but on a work colleague it smells very pretty. Clean, lush and sensual. It is nothing original, but it is well done. Good for work, because it won't offend anyone. Sillage is also really good.

Dezember

I still remember how I really thought that Pour femme would be my signature forever when it came out. It was so pretty, fresh, delicate, feminine, easy to wear on any occasion and I always got compliments while wearing it.
But then, was it maybe in 2010, Lacoste changed something in the formula and the packaging. Or was it my body chemistry that changed, doubt that. Pour femme became more woody, sour and the sweet flowery scent was gone by the wind. Longevity became so poor despite generous bathing in it, it just disappeared from my skin. So sad to spoil such a great perfume with changing its formula.

I've had 4 or 5 bottles of it, still wear it usually at work but won't buy a new one. Times have changed and Pour femme will stay on my mind, but now it's time to find another signature for myself. Endless process, this damn hunting for a perfect perfume :)

H2Ono

..love this on a woman;) Sexy, floral...What perfume is all about.

leboblue

This fragrance is one of only a few that coworkers have complimented me on. I wore it ages ago and I've decided to go back and try those good old frags that got people's attention. This is clean, light but I think it has great staying power, it must have because the compliment came after lunch and I do not reapply at work. It's soft, leathery and gorgeous! I'm so sick of the gormands today with the sickly sweet teen feel. Hello!!!! Enough already! Armani si is a great sweet frag for the over 60 crowd, love that. But I'm going to continue on my trip down fragrance memory lane to see if the old faves still garner any comments.

mendosita

This is very clean scent- yet it is not fresh at all. For me it smells like fresh laundry on a sunny& windy Spring day. Or a right-after-the-shower wet skin. Very comforting and nice to wear. I have tried it the first time in my life just yesterday and today I went and bought a bottle. I can't wait to wear it on Spring/ Summer days.

helenaolsen

Tried it in the store and loved it. I especially love the smell it makes when you spray it in the air in front of you. Only problem is that it lasts like 1 min before it is gone. Also one time I sprayed it like crazy on me when I went to the toilet before class. I thought now people can smell it and they did. Since we where a big group of girls no one knew that I was the one wearing it or that someone was wearing it at all, luckily.... After about 30 seconds after coming in to the classroom a girl(very nice friend of mine) said "what is that smell, it smells like a disgusting soap they have at the old home". She kept complaining about it for 1-2 min before she said it went away..

I gave this a dislike, only for the reason that it is weak and has zero lasting power. I love the bottle design and I love the smell. But it is not a cheap perfume. For something this price, I expect it to perform better than a body spray, which is how I have to use it.

I would normally think it was my own nose. However, I wore this to work and no one could smell it. I later reapplied, spraying all over my clothing. I then asked my co-worker if she could smell it and she said yes, sort of, but very lightly. I asked her about 20 minutes later if she still smelled it, she said she did not. We tried this with another willing participant at work the next day, and none of us could smell it after 15 to 20 minutes, unless she sprayed herself again.

lannyM

I addicted using this. It's nice though soft.

laulaura

I had this some years ago.it is definetly fresh and a little spicy, first spray smells like that and it maintains the same smell thru out the whole day of wearing it.After aprox. two hours it's intensity fades away and i don't sense it that much, it becomes more of a skin scent. It has a delicate, pure aura to it and a weird 'unclassified' smell a little poignant but interesting almost syntetic but soft.I don't sense it powdery. It is nevertheless feminine and fresh 'ready to start the day' energic. Chalk and rice comes on mind when wearing it, tranquility and fresh energy, cool, cold as well. I would spray this in the morning and wear it thru out the day in summer.

Django7

Smells nice. Easy scent for anyone to wear anywhere at anytime. With that said, it is underwhelming. One I wear on a day off when just doing some housework, shopping and running errands.

Julie Chit

This is a beauty. It's so gentle and feminin. I can't imagine somebody to not like this. It's also very sophisticated and inoffensive. I just love it. It's not the best for hot weather. Maybe more spring or fall. It's definitely not a girly scent, it's more elegant.

Nikki24

Very fresh, clean and inoffensive. A little bit spicy. I really like this.

Mayenaise

A staple in my dresser. Can't live without smelling this beautiful, elegant yet simple fragrance. It's changed on my skin over the years since i first got it in 2005 but still evokes a wonderful feeling of calm and clean.

For The Love of Perfume

I have never had this perfume....but I am going to get it. My mom wears this perfume and every time I am with her, she is constantly getting compliments from people. It smells so clean and fresh on her....I just hope it smells like that on me.

perlaVenezia

Clean, timeless, elegant and cozy scent. It is ethereal, heavenly and beautiful ! I fell in love with her from the first sniff. I love, love, love it very much ! I think this is the best fragrance from Lacoste.
Dear deakrek ! My 24-year-old daughter when she sniffed this scent, said the same thing as your little toddler: this smells like mom -))

vrckovic88

My signature perfume. I get a lot of compliments when wear it. Smell like something between fresh loundry and warm bed in winter time. It wear it all year long. I think is ideal for young 20 - something girls. Forever my favorite parfum!

Palmy

Fresh and clean in elegance way.
This reminds me of how I feel about Bvlgari Pour Femme. Not how it smell but how it is soft and powerdy with hint of spicy pepper which is so tender.

Classy yet modern.
Simple but extraordinary.
This is Kate Middleton in the bottle.

Just simply love it.

EvaKmp

I have the same bottle for so many years. It was a gift and even though every time I smell it I find it very nice, I never reach for it. Very forgetable.

yvonne9413

This is a very distinctive scent. You can tell it apart from the rest on the train, in the mall or passing by the wearer. Definitely not cheap smelling but it is only nice when worn once in a while and not as a signature scent. If worn daily, the nose gets immune and you can't really enjoy it. Best sprayed on the arms but not the neck as it's powdery and tends to overwhelm

napabird

This has been my signature scent since I fell in love with it when my daughter tested it on our holiday in Cyprus over 7 years ago.
To me, it's a perfectly balanced blend of pleasant floral, wood and oriental notes. Easily recognisable but never overwhelming. I have never found anything else equal to this blend of perfection. The wood tones control the florals so the flowers don't become overwhelming. The spices and woods give a pleasant depth. It is warm & natural, blends to the skin. Nothing artificial at all about this one. To me, it is suitable for all ages, all seasons and all times of the day. I love all stages from first spray through to Drydown. It seems not to be as long lasting as I would like but when I find clothes I have worn it with, I can still subtly notice it, so I think it really lasts perfectly well but I am just so used to the smell now. Heaven-in-a-bottle, love love love!!!

jb

Soft, fresh, and lovely start, that unfortunately turned to "play doh" on me. Stayed a soft summery floral on my daughter. Brings to mind feminine, soft, white cotton dresses and late morning sun.

kristamb

This is a nice feminine perfume that reminds me of a cozy, warm but beautiful scent :) It is just very feminine and pretty, and definitely a great every day scent. It reminds me of a St. Ives lotion I used to have in college called Whipped Silk, and I think it was the Soft Petals scent...at the time I wished there was a perfume to match that scent. I didn't know about Lacoste Pour Femme then!! Great perfume! Lasts all day for me, too (about 4 sprays).

Museumgal

Perfectly feminine scent! Gently spicy, clean elegant white florals. Just beautiful. It seems a touch formal, good for work or daytime formal events. Smells very classic and sophisticated.

pink_pepper

It is the best fragrance from Lacoste for me. Pour femme is elegant, modern and romantic. I encounter anyone who does not like it. I can use this scent for the rest of my life.

deakrek

Skin scent, big time. My toddler once sniffed the bottle and said: this smells like Mom. Great way to put it, this scent just becomes one with you. Sometimes when I wear it I kinda miss noticing it from time to time (there are other perfumes that "appears" on you here and there through your day and I enjoy them for it) but then again LPF and I we just melt into one-another.
Lovely lovely lovely experience.

Neckromancer

This is interesting. It's not bad. It's a spicy perfume. But instead of pepper as the top note, I smell anise. There is virtually no sillage. Although I'm completely fine with this perfume, my father thinks it smells like armpit and it makes him nauseous. Oh! I just looked at the actual company notes, and they list allspice, so that's what the "pepper" note is. Anyway, for me it's just "okay." It's a "different" scent for colder weather that I think can also be worn during the summer months. For some reason it doesn't strike me as particularly clean, flowery, or soapy. It's not "dirty", but clean is not the first thing that comes to mind. Also, I love powdery scents, but I can't smell anything powdery in this. It's soft, yes, but not powdery. I think it is sort of unique, but not what I expected based on the description. I was expecting more of the scent of warm skin, but that's not what I get. I don't think this fragrance is masculine, but I do think it can be unisex, the way that herbal lotion is unisex (although this scent is not creamy). I also believe I might be slightly anosmic to it, because my father smelled it very strongly, and I really didn't smell anything (after three sprays).

Edit:
THIS SMELLS LIKE A NEW BOOK! Like a book with white pages. Very weird.

scentedrat

Tried this in a store during the winter, and immediately bought it. Mistake!! I have worn it a few times since and can't stand it. I had read that it is a skin scent, which I wanted, but it is definitely NOT that on me. It is an artificial sort of "fresh", but too heavy and thick to qualify as fresh or clean to me. It never changes on me or settles into something more wearable, and it lasts for hours. Even if I just spray it in a room I can still smell it 2 hrs later. I can see where those who like Light Blue would also like this one. They have the same feel. Both of them are considered light and fresh, but if anyone nearby (within a mile or two, it seems) is wearing either of them, you are going to be smelling it. A lot. Can't figure out why I thought this smelled good in the store.

ShinningLightOfThunder

Nope, didn't like it. Nothing special or standing out about this one.

nickhi1984

I don't know why, but in some way this reminds me a little of Daisy Eau So Fresh as well as Burberry Brit Rhythm... It's that powdery 'feel' I suppose. It has that powdery scent which I love in Rhythm, with the freshness I love in Eau So Fresh.
My only problem with this (as with almost all Lacoste fragrances) is longevity. I don't know if it's just my skin, but for some reason I can't smell any Lacoste fragrance for very long.
This is a fun, out in the sun having a braai (BBQ) by the swimming pool in your swimwear, with family type of fragrance. It's great for work as well as it doesn't overwhelm.

hagertygal

I loved the sportiness of the bottle. Loved the scent. The only issue is that it never lasted on my skin! Sooooo weak. I could bathe in it and an hour later be spritzing another 10 to 15 sprays all over myself. It just has no lasting power. Good use as a body spray, but it is a bit too expensive to use as one.

Renata tang

I love this fragrance, I think there is somethings smells like high-end face powder in the bottle. Love it. It is divine for powdery scent lovers( no baby powder).

Lisa290872

So I'm shopping and looking for a floral woody musk that's gonna sit on my skin like a skin scent and make me smell clean and sexy when my partner smells me. Not sure what drew me to this perfume but one whiff and I was in love. Exactly what I was looking for all of the ingredients perfectly blended so that you can smell them all but not in a choking way. My signature scent is DKNY Woman but this is making headway to stand side by side with that little beauty. I wish I had tested this a long time ago. The perfect fragrance for me and my personality. It makes me feel young and like I've just found my first love. Thank you Lacoste Poue Femme.

Lexa

Lacoste Pour Famme for me smells like the ocean. It reminds me of the breeze and the salt and everything that relates. And i love that.Lacoste is an explosion of colors,of scents and i would bathe in it,day and night, summer and winter.Lovely, absolute beaute.

GoddessWisteria

Looking to swap this one. Inbox me if interested ♥.

Coconutt

After wearing it for a few days i must say i'm soooo dissapointed by how weak and short-lasting this is...Such a huge shame. For it's price it should linger days after, but unfortunately, it's barely there few minutes after i spritz it on my neck. Several times. I can smell it when i put it on, and bam...half an hour later, zero. I was wondering why would people around me notice and give me compliments when i wear a lot cheaper perfumes (like magic from bruno bannani or pur blanca), but not for this. The answer is obvious. It doesn't exist any more when i acctually get to my workplace. I still think the scent is like a nicest dream...But, honestly, my 3 $ aftershower body mist stays longer than this. I think Lacoste definitely needs to work on this because this fragrance would attract a lot more costumers if it ewasn't for this. I will not repurchase it for sure after i'm done with this bottle. Which will be three days from today.

Coconutt

I cannot believe someone would compare this to something stinky as avon daydream. This is my winter Light Blue. Perfect. Fitting. Comforting, cozy. Elegant. Feminine. Crisp clean, neat. My signature winter fragrance... <3 Simply the best.

Teareal

This is one of my favorite perfume so far.
It's unique, sophisticated and not too overpower.
Suitable for everyday use.

SuzeJoanne

I really, really love this perfume. It's my every day scent. It lasts for all day long, from morning till evening.

ellina1984

Clean, fresh, powdery, charming. I'd gladly add this to my wardrobe if I didn't already have so many powdery scents. Most definitely inoffensive and office friendly. It would make a fantastic first perfume, or a gift for someone who doesn't like complex scents.

Toom_Snoopy

I'm very disappointed based on very good reviews here. Too powdery for my taste and the scent is very vague. Suade is too much. :(

Eos

Lacoste Pour Femme is a great go to perfume for those situations when you don't know what to wear. The freesia and pepper combo makes this simultaneously fresh, floral and warm, while the heliotrope, suede and sandalwood round out the scent adding softness and an easy sensuality. This is work friendly, easy to wear and unlikely to offend. I could see this being a comfort scent for many people.

xanthialouc

I'm 23 and I love this perfume. So I don't really think it's solely created for the mommy/tita ages as some might think. It has the perfect freshness that leaves people asking what perfume it is :)

Anthaval

My mother in-law's favorite perfume. I think it's created for her ages, the women around 40-60. In my opinioin it's a very classical and elegant fragrance. I can't imagine it on younger ladies.

Naj

yeah its gud.. but not lasting on me... eventhough m lacoste lovr but this fragrance doesnt work on me as touch of spring...

The Swedish girl

I tried this again, and OH MY GOD how peppery this is! It`s like smelling pepper from the glass jars in your kitchen. Sneeze party.
Note to self, never try this again. Never.

ievabugelskyte

I love this perfume, its my absolute favourite and always will be. I just wish I could find something that smells exactly like it but a lot stronger and with better longevity.

Eivi

Very powdery. Definitely not bad, but you just gotta love powdery-like perfumes to like this one. I actually can't smell any of the top notes. I would rate this at 6/10

iris1911

Sometimes some perfumes make me confused. I' m not sure wheather I like it or not. They make me think of them, test them and somehow imagine if I'd like them, if they were part of my life.
That's what happens, when I smell Lacoste. It smells so sweet, like lilac maybe? Reminds me Trussardi My Name.
It's very peaceful but something goes wrong in the same time...
Lacoste smells like spring, like the moment, when we are surrounded by violet flowers.

The bottle doesn't fit this fragrance at all.

chanka

I also agree with others , the bottle is sporty but the scent have nothing with it
it is elegant sweet warm scent
I would definitely change bottle , it looks masculine and sporty nothing with the scent

chanka

it have been long time
but I can still remember the beauty, softness, cleanness of this fragrance
warm Italian dinners and nights with friends
young, creamy, cozy , fresh not floral not spice .. little bit neutral
not strong
I think I had 2 or even 3 bottles of it.. loved it

Lybarra118

Lacoste Pour Femme is what I would call effortless. Polished. It's like a freshly washed white t-shirt, air dried on a clothesline outside on a warm, beautiful spring day.

It smells clean, but not like soap or dryer sheets, and it's extremely fresh - like taking a nice walk in the park.

The powdery aspect is just so that it's easily wearable in hot or cold weather. My only issue, thanks to my body chemistry, is this only last about 4 hours on my skin; however, I still think it's worth owning a bottle.

Review for pre-reformulated Pour Femme.

Megamind

I paid 36 euros for a little bottle of 30 ml. I find it too expensive for such a light fragrance.

Megamind

I purchased the bottle in a cream package so not reformulated version.
The source of cleanness comes from freesia and apple. I can easily detect them in the opening. It does not turn powderly on my skin but rather clean. And more clean then fresh. So for me it's kind of sporty flagrance.
Lacoste pour femme is in my "like" category but I won't repurchase it at full price without discount. It doesn't worth it.
It lasts about 5 hours. I can hardly detect it after. Just pleasent scent without depth.

basgam

Loved it on a friend of mine on who the scent reminded me of a very clean or fresh t-shirt combined with something citrusy-like. I bought it and at the opening it was exactly the same but after a while it didn't resemble my friend's fragrance at all. Stayed on my clothes as well for quite a long time. Safe to wear though.

LaUna

This is like a dry cool spicy fizzy rose. Elegant and light scent. Lots of people wear it because it smells quite familiar.
I find it serious rather than warm and huggable (in comparison).
Incense, cedar and pepper dominate here; rose and soft floral notes are in the background.
Good office choice scent; everyday, sure that too. Stays close to the skin. I smell like a clean rose pop after awhile, literally.

Lalionne

Lacoste pour femme is an excellent choice for daytime wear, whatever occasion. It is a bit too modest for nighttime use, unless you are rather shy. I personally use this when I need something not too outspoken, nor completely unnoticeable - which is actually quite often. It is a very floral fragrance, I do not perceive it as soapy or clean. But it is modest - in the sense that it adjusts to your own skin and scent very well. People often ask what I am wearing and although most react surprised when I answer 'Lacoste', everyone seems to like it.

Beware of the new white box/packing: it smells the same at first sniff, but it has no longevity at all. It disappears so quickly (within half an hour?) it cannot even develop properly, let alone adjust to your skin - which is one of the best characteristics of the original. Not worth buying! Such a shame, the original lasts for hours. I have often got complimented in the afternoon, when I had used it in the morning (and I never use more than three sprays max).

evanda

I love this perfume,
it feels fresh, soapy and little sweets,
but so sad this perfume had poor longevity,
lasting only 1 hour in my body

georgequeue

My brother gave mom this as a present eight years ago, and it was a blind buy. When she opened it, she absolutely loved it, and so did I!

Simply put, Lacoste Pour Femme is beauty and class in a bottle, an authentic masterpiece...ENOUGH SAID!!!

flowers-in-the-springtime

I've never smelled a Lacoste fragrance before, ever, but I'm totally impressed with Pour Femme. Perhaps I've been very lucky in being given the chance to sample their best scent, seemingly the reviews all seem very favourable, but either way, this is impressive.

Initially this goes on in a very fresh way, it's like a breath of spring fresh air. I find freesia a very gently and creamy flower and it's beautiful in this perfume.

The fragrance settles into a very addictive, soft floral fragrance which has a kind of hairspray kind of vibe. I say this in a good way, it's not a bad thing in this fragrance, but that's what it reminds me of.

The projection and longevity are astounding for the price of this perfume. I also must add, that seemingly, this little baby has been around for a few years now, but it smells totally unique and not at all dated.

One thing is for sure, this perfume will definitely get you noticed in a great way. The fragrance is lovely and induces you to inhale the aroma deeply. People will ask you what you are wearing.
