Eau de Gaga by Lady Gaga is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women and men. Eau de Gaga was launched in 2014. Top note is Lime; middle note is White Violet; base notes are Leather and Woody Notes.

EAU DE GAGA is an enigmatic scent, fusing daringly diverse elements to create a beguiling allure. The fragrance is built around a beautiful heart of white violet, an intoxicating flower that fuses male and female attractions. To counterbalance this opulent woody-floral intensity, the scent opens with an invigorating burst of sparkling lime that exudes dynamic vibrancy. And it evolves into a sensual trail based on leather, adding a primal quality to the scent.

Very generic smell n simple.

Loved it since 2018 and on my second bottle but opinion may either have been intensified due to my bias to anything Gaga or my general affinity with citrus fragrances.

This one’s a lime-forward perfume with woods and leather in the background to me in the opening. It dries down to something more violet-forward with woods and leather accompanying said violet with citrus just barely poking through.

I do think projection is quite small/intimate (skin scent, bordering arm-lengthed-radius) in the first hour or two, but overall longevity is fair (3-6 hours) on my skin.

I like its simplicity as well, even if it may be “boring”. It just makes it feel more versatile and clean in the equatorial climate/tropical weather where I am. Smells like an everyday scent due to its lime and violet but can arguably be in more professional settings as well due to its leather and woody notes combo. Personally don’t find it powdery though. I also personally like how it smells “sour” but definitely not the sour-body-odor kind…or I’m just confusing sour with fresh.

I can see why some may point out its tea-like qualities and I can personally attest to this but it just lives in the undertones for me and nothing tea-forward (as if when you think about the tea, you can smell it, otherwise no). More earl-grey than purely green tea though.

To the people who think this smells like Tom Ford Azure Lime ; Y'all probably think Olive Garden tastes like authentic Italian cooking from Tuscany . And Taco Bell tastes like authentic Mexican Street Tacos. And Lady GaGa sounds just like Madonna.

For those who can't find it for a good price anymore, Mancera Lemon Line is very similar to this one.

toosimilar

There was no chance to like it: it's just lemon
Brutal, harsh, but lemon

Seaworthy

Eau de Gaga was a love at first sniff for me. Simply beautiful. It is the epitome of a unisex fragrance that is appropriate for any occasion or season. Good lasting power on my skin and clothes, with a minor scent trail. It's a shame that it's getting harder to find and therefore more expensive. It could easily be a signature scent for anyone.

Suwinka

I really liked this scent. However, I found it too masculine for me, so I gave it up. This would be lovely on a man IMO.

KittyDeBeauvoir

Why do we underestimate simplicity?

Four notes and this perfume is better than so many designer and niche fragrances out there.

On first spray, this is a LOUD LIME! Very much a *notice-me-notice-me* citrus slap. So much so that I thought I really didn't care for it at all for the longest time.

But - wait a mere moment, DeBeauvoir - and take in your old floral friend, Violet. She's one for taking care of you. I don't know if white violet is particularly different (scent-wise) from their regular purple-hued counterpart, but this still smells like my delightful feminine, powdery, trust-worthy, boss-level companion.

I do get a slight leather/suede note, but it's actually the least strong note here. I think it lends a smoothness to the scent. If it was just lime, violet, and sandalwood throw together, this could smell a lot harsher than it does (immediate opening aside).

Then some slightly sweet, warm, creamy sandalwood. Making this a very 'outdoorsy' scent. Not that I need to be in a forest or rock-climbing (not turning the offer down, Perfumites; just making a point), but it evokes a picture being outdoors...particularly if I'm stuck indoors.

In saying that, there isn't really a *wrong* occasion to wear this.
It's truthfully unisex. I can't imagine this smelling bad on anyone.
Daytime is fine.
And nighttime? Go nuts.
In the office? Fear not of creating olfactorily-offended colleagues.
At high tea? Stuff your sophisticated-smelling self with cucumber sandwiches and date scones.

Personally, I think this is underrated. Projection and longevity...could be better, but when I do get a whiff, it's pretty dang pleasant. I often forget to wear this due to my perhaps-somewhat-vast collection, but I always think of how much I actually like it when I do. Like today. Well done me.

Repurchase-worthy (although I believe... discontinued).

Peaches&Cream

When I first purchased this I wanted something unique (which I had gotten). On first spray I got a strong citrusy scent and I couldn’t bare the smell so I let it sit for months on ends until I decided to give this a try again .

I wore this out today & though I still get a burst of green citrus , The notes began to immediately change into a Violet, powdery and leather scents that smelled pleasant enough to wear. It’s inoffensive and can wear on a regular basis.

KEF

Is this perfume still produced? I finished my 75ml bottle and I want to buy it again, but I don't want to buy a perfume that was made 9 years ago, being exposed to who knows what temperatures. This is one of the few celebrity fragrances I really like and, while its composition is very simple, weirdly enough, it has a very complex performance on my skin and clothes. Generally, it opens with a herbal lime note (to me it's more like the lime leaves instead of the fruit itself) along with a green tea nuance, then it dries down to a powdery violet and then to a woody/leathery base. But the only consistent part of the perfume in my case is the top note because, as I said, it can perform differently on my skin and clothes as it dries down. The majority of the time, it's the violet that takes a main role. However, there have been moments when a musky note is what is left (probably from the leather). Other times I perceive more the tea characteristic.

yutaka kober

Contrary to expectations, very businesslike.

Lime, green tea and leather predominate on my skin. I do not find it powdery.
Some say it is cedar, but personally I smell tea, not black tea, but green tea.
I think that gives it an oriental feel.

The opening is subdued sweetness with a solid texture of lime and green tea, and the drydown smells a combination of green tea and leather.

The longevity is short and there is not much sillage.
It is very safe, and I sense something similar to ”Maison Margiela - Macha Meditation”, perhaps because of the predominance of green tea.

If you buy it thinking of GAGA, you will feel uncomfortable because it is so safe, but for the price, it is very good: a relaxation office fragrance in a jet-black bottle produced by GAGA. Is this some kind of black joke?

vnttj_144

I still have the bottle when I purchased it as a teen obsessed with Gaga at that age. Like a darker appropriation of Chanel No. 5 - the bottle is simple, square with a silver plaque.

Never really loved the scent but it was unique and I would spray it whenever I wanted something different. Sharp citrus with notes of leather and smokey tobacco. Eventually, the citrus softens and then you can detect some of the violet. It's a 'cold' fragrance with a sharp metallic overtone.

I don't typically like to wear it, but I keep it as a collector's item.

Bomber81

I imagine someone in a well put together business suit, modern and crisp edges and cuts, hair just right, heading to their office for an important business meeting would wear this and feel confident in it.
A man in black leather jacket and jeans would wear this deliciously.
A woman in red lipstick and leopard print.

Wish it were stronger with more sillage & longevity.
I wear this over cedar essential oil and it really brings out the wood notes. Highly recommend that.

Sparkleball22

Beautiful fresh tea scent but with that leather note there is softness and depth. Spa-like. Evokes compliments !
I usually can sense it 4 hrs later on skin. I think it’s refreshing but then turns deep. I feel like it’s totally unisex but I love to smell it on my husband and am always pushing it on him! Like a universal GoodSmell!
It’s a winner in this household.
I have a small backup bottle and this may be the most used fragrance that my partner and I share. It is blazes hot 4 months out of the year here so it’s a good fit.

brand117

An absolutely underrated gem in its own right. 1000% unisex- anyone can wear this. Lime, black tea, and leather. Very simple, linear, and decently lasting for its price. Lovely understated bottle design, too. It's a shame Lady Gaga didn't produce any more lines after this one.

qofb

This opens with a very natural, freshly cut lime, not exaggerated or sweetened. That unfortunately dies back pretty quickly, but does persist as a more non descript citrus, along with a powdery woody fragrance. As the citrus fades further, you do get a very light, clean, polite fuzzy slightly sweet leather from this later on... Fail to sniff deeply though and you'll miss it, because this is a skin scent, and a super light one at that, but wow if this were a little stronger... Although I do think this smells good on me, I would love to smell this on a man. It makes me want to try the Tom Ford that this gets compared to.

LizzieDee

I got a blast of citrus rapidly followed by a strong tea note. After a couple of hours it has settled down into a barely perceptible skin scent. The tea note has gone. It's quite fresh but it's a green freshness now, not citrus. It seems more like a cologne than an eau de parfum. If I didn't know there was a leather note, I wouldn't know there was a leather note - it's so faint it might as well not be there. Even though this comes at a bargain price, it does not smell cheap. Overall, I'd say this is pleasant. It would be a safe office perfume, although you'd need to reapply at lunchtime.

It bears very little ressemblance to the marketing puff:

It's not daringly diverse. Tea is quite a polite note
opulent woody-floral intensity - it's not opulent or intense and I don't get any woody notes
the scent opens with an invigorating burst of sparkling lime that exudes dynamic vibrancy - I'll give them the invigorating burst but not the dynamic vibrancy
a sensual trail based on leather, adding a primal quality to the scent - it doesn't seem to have any sillage, the leather is AWOL and this is too refined to be primal.

Jacquis

Strong citrus and leather character. I've been enjoying this for years but only now realized how much it reminds me of Hermes Kelly Caleche EDP and Bottega Veneta Illusione. If you enjoy those, you'll like this one as well.

strongerwithglue

It doesn't last very long but it smells nice. It's a soft, slightly powdery, woody citrus. For a celebrity fragrance it is unique, a good clean daytime scent.

Tinabill

EdG starts with a wonderful lime note, very refreshing, zesty, a bit bitter and green and on me is the most dominant note, starting strong then mellows down but is perceptible right to the end. I don’t know what white violets smell like, but here they seem to have more of a soft herbal green aspect with mild sweetness rather than a powdery or candied side. I occasionally get a very soft suede but not an animalic leather and again soft woods that hold the composition together.
The sillage is very close after the first half an hour with moderate longevity, both being better than her Fame on my skin. Although I like many notes in Fame, the performance and gimmicky propaganda make me prefer EdG which is more solid overall. However both don’t live up to Gaga’s image.

candi_n_spice

This is lovely, nicer than I expected. The only problem is, it's not very strong or long lasting. Very unisex, fresh, interesting, but nothing sharp or off putting to my nose. It's just pretty much a skin scent, which becomes very faint after a few hours. Maybe more sprays would help, at least it's affordable!

Dev0tee

Who is nose behind this frag?

Nocciola23

This was such a disappointment for me. I'm not a fan of lime so it was always going to be a struggle on this one but I really expected more.
It smelled quite bitter and green to me, herby almost. I got no leather scent at all The longevity was terrible. I sprayed quite a lot but it was completely gone in less than 2 hours.

Ninalovesclassy

To me this smells like lime for exactly 5 minutes and... thats it. It doesnt last longer than that. I like it for the gym and in the summer mornings to freshen up, the smell is simple, cheap yet pleasant, no dry down, because it just doesnt last at all, deffinately not worth the money.
Its nice though, I like to mix it with strong or heavy perfumes to freshen them up.

Scent_Insensibility

Earl Grey and Lavender tea. Very refreshing ! No violet or leather so sadly not a Jolie Madame by any means.
Absolutely unisex.

yunoh

This is so her. Really fresh and woody. I haven't owned Fame so I can't compare it to that one. This is exactly how I imagined Gaga would smell. It's really fresh and masculine, it lasts a long time on the skin and the sillage is fine, it does project quite a lot. It reminds me a lot of Light Blue. I really liked this, it's a shame you cannot purchase it anymore. It was also really affordable. 10/10

AisLilly

I find myself reaching for this perfume a lot more than I thought I would. The lime is extremely bright at the front, to wake you up, and then settles into the comforting and smooth combination of leather and violet. To me it is the perfume equivalent of having a fresh invigorating shower and then putting on the most heavenly soft robe. I wear it to bed quite a lot as it makes me feel squeaky clean and comfortingly soothed at the same time.

Marlene12

I have a full bottle tester up for sale on Mercari - user Marly if anyone is interested

elocciN_Rantula

I'm one of those people who doesn't need to be able to buy a perfume at the perfume counter, or it is considered "discontinued"
I love this perfume. I found a 1.7oz bottle for $13 so,I tried it. I also have Fame. I felt the lime, leather and floral note in EDG might go really well with Fame and.....I wasn't disappointed!! It was as if Lady Gaga made these two scents to be layered together.
Each adds something very special to the other and being that Fame and EDG are pretty linear scents, layering them creates a larger than life, very niche smelling, nothing like a celebrity scent at all, but a big, fancy gourmand. As for the matter of these scents being "discontinued", I've had no problem at all procuring 4 bottles of EDG and 3 of Fame, both while being "discontinued"
If you are a true perfumista and fall in love regularly with hard to find scents, third party sites can be your best friend. I have been lucky to find trusted perfume sellers on Ebay and Mercari and between both sites,I can usually find any htf or discontinued scent that I'm looking for. Both sites back their sales and if you end up buying a dud, they WILL reimburse you. So, the risk is minimal. My perfume guy on Ebay ended up having a great deal on EDG and I got two big 2.5oz bottles for just $20, shipped plus, he threw in an extra bottle for my repeat business.
Seeing that Lady Gaga has now ventured into makeup, I'm hoping she gets back into perfume. Or even just rereleases these 2. If you enjoy a fresh citrus leather, grab a bottle of Eau de Gaga. Shop around. There are sites charging huge sums for this but, still many that have it under $20. You will not be disappointed!

LizzieDee

I wonder if this was inspired by Balmain’s Jolie Madame, which also adds violet to leather? It’s an unusual combination. There are loads of leather scents around but I can only think of a handful of scents that feature violet - 4160 Thursdays Dancing With Strangers, Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose, Guerlain Insolence, Les Exclusifs de Chanel Misia, and that’s it. Anything with violet can come across as very retro depending on how it is used. With Misia and Lipstick Rose, I think that’s the vibe they were going for. Dancing with Strangers smells more like a lipstick than Lipstick Rose and I’d say it’s more classic and contemporary than retro. I’d put Eau de Gaga at the contemporary end of the spectrum. It’s clearly been composed with care and is a terrific bargain, if you can find it.

Ticketgirl

I absolutely love this fragrance. The burst of green juiciness in the form of lime makes me want to spray and spray, just to have that experience all through the day. It quickly settles into the floral notes and, finally, the wood. It's uncomplicated, and I like that in my scents. Unfortunately, the longevity, at least on me, is not much. So, I do get to respray often. The last time, I laid it on pretty heavy, so maybe it will take me to lunch (it's now 9:00 a.m.)

UPDATE: It's now 8:30 p.m., and Eau de Gaga stuck with me pretty well all day. I did respray just so I could enjoy the top notes again. At some point during the day, I realized this is a fragrance I want to keep around for a while, so I ordered two backup bottles on eBay. Once I read the reviews that likened it to Earl Grey tea, I realized why it appealed to me so and knew I was a goner!

Seldarius

This delivers what’s on the bottle, citrus & leather, almost unisex. It’s also largely linear on me. Somehow it still manages to be uplifting and complex, however, and I often find myself grabbing for this black bottle, especially on days when I have a lot on my plate. It’s a smell that says “I’m strong and competent and I’ve got this”. I didn’t buy this for it’s celebrity connection, but I would absolutely buy it again.

adamh9201

This is excellent! After being disappointed with fame I was reluctant to try this one. But it’s way better and more complex than that!

Enrium

I admit, I can be snobby about celebrity scents, but some are surprisingly excellent, such as SJP Lovely or Madonna Truth Or Dare. Celebrity scents are not quite as ubiquitous as maybe ten years ago when it was mostly a shameless money-grabbing exercise. Despite recent successful releases from the likes of Ariana Grande, celebrity scents continue to fall out of favour. Sales are apparently declining as niche perfumery booms. This has led to some very interesting niche crossovers such as Tilda Swinton Like This for État Libre d'Orange, or Chloë Sevigny Little Flower for Régime des Fleurs - quality over quantity, a movement in the right direction.

Anyway, back to the scent in question. As a Lady Gaga fan, I had to try both of her scents, EDG and Fame. I have a sample of EDG, and I definitely prefer it to Fame, despite the latter's irresistable advertising campaign - black liquid, avant garde gold lid et al. Both appear to be discontinued at this stage, unfortunately for Gaga fans.

EDG is a simple, fresh, unisex cologne that smells of a high quality that belies its price. It is simple and linear, but works well. It opens with a bright citrus note, fresh, juicy and tart. It develops into a slightly powdery floral with a faint hint of violet which softens the zingy citrus nicely. Leather notes creep in fairly quickly, and it dries down to a woody, musky skin scent. The woody notes are quite synthetic, but thankfully don't weigh down this scent. There is a soapiness to it too.

The performance is not stellar - but is to be expected from a cologne such as this. Sillage is fleetingly moderate before the citrus fades, and longevity is weak-to-moderate. A surprisingly safe, wearable and subtle cologne from Ms. Gaga. Unisex, even masculine leaning. A great value cologne. 3.5/5.

mister_chaz

Soapy woody lime. Refreshing, a bit masculine leaning. As a perfume snob who generally avoids celeb perfumes, I have to admit this is not bad at all! Definitely worth sampling.

Detman101

Now this is a LIVELY scent!! So far I think I like it!
Wow...this is like a lime-blast to your face!
After the initial blast settles down...I swear I smell...peach?!
It can't be a fluke because I keep smelling it when I catch wafts of the scent. When I smell my arm up close I can smell the musky leathery smell more.
I don't know what to think about this just yet. Will come back with an update at a later time after wearing it outside...probably will layer it with something vanilla like "Oxford Bleu" to smooth out that bright lime.

Edit: Oh wow...the wife actually likes this one! WIN!!!

(The next day)
I'm wearing this one today and I went with 4 of this and 4 of oxford bleu....PERFECT!!
The "Eau de Gaga" starts out as this lime blast...but tones down after about 20 mins driving in to work, then mellows out to this...tea scent...with the vanilla of the "Oxford Bleu" in the background. Not getting any of the "Leather" that's in the mix...but I tell you what....I am LOVING this creamy floral-vanilla-tea scent bubble I'm living in today! =D

EDIT: Wound up giving this to a younger female friend as I felt she deserved it more than I did. <3

I'd bought the 1 oz bottle several winters back and I didn't care for the heavy, synthetic wood smell. Several months later, I sold it on ebay, and when I went to package it up, I sprayed one final time and I realized I'd made a big mistake. It was a beautiful, light, sweet, green tea, in the vein of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea (which I love). I had to repurchase, so I got the big bottle. It has more going on, and it has better lasting power than EAGT. I suppose I might perceive a tiny bit of violet, wood, and maybe even the leather. The lime is present but I would not consider this a citrus scent. It is basically a green tea scent, in summer. I also get a whiff of anise near the beginning, which adds interest. It's somewhat synthetic-smelling still, but it's very, very pleasant overall. Longevity is decent for a cologne-type scent, about 4-6 hours, and sillage is not obnoxious. I'd consider this mostly feminine, but it probably wouldn't appear out of place on most men.

autobus25

I finally find a bottle. After seeing it is unisex vibe, I decide to give it a try. It's true but a little bit too masculine for me. My boyfriend is not a fan neither. I will try it again in the fall-winter season to see if it's more soft.

lindsaybirddrums

I LOVE THIS! It definitely got the unisex vibe going on. VERY FRESH! I love this right out of the shower or at the gym. It's just a huuuuuuge burst of lime and then dries to a subtle woody and almost green tea vibe. Lasting power isn't fantastic but it gets the job done, about 2-3hrs on my clothes/skin.

Noelanii

Bought this based on it's niche rave reviews and Best in Show ratings. It opens with the best most realistic burst of loose leaf Earl Grey Tea, like you just stuffed your nose into the tin and inhaled deeply (which I do every time I make that tea). YUM. But do I want to smell like that? Not once I've left the house, which is why this perfume is amazing. After a few minutes, it smells like you've added heavy cream to your tea, and 20-40 minutes after that, it becomes a full, rounded can't-quite-place it scent that bears almost no resemblance to it's first character. From citric, straightforward, wakeful and black, to something warm, mysterious and enveloping. LOVE

Madyana

Years ago when I was looking for my style I used this big bottle in one summer to find out which is too masculine for me. I know the image is due to my age. When I was a child in the 70s, women wore gardenia and lily of the valley, and men smelled of sweat or at finest Eau de Cologne. And I mean every man.
I found this scent sweet and interesting too, but that image of Eau de Cologne and masculinity is somewhere in my backbone and I can’t ignore it. Today, I have several unisex, and some men’s scent too, that I think are more feminine and easy wearing than this one is for me. Funny.
But if I ever start driving a truck this will be my signature!

SpectralScents

I love this! Its definitely clean and non specific. Has a vague soapiness without coming off as an actual soap scent. I think my bottle aged and the top notes are fading fast so beware this formula isnt the most stable!!!

CarmenW88

I can relate a lot to the reviewer below me. As I read the review I thought “yes, absolutely, I can see that!” ... Except I absolutely love the dry down. I blind bought this a few months ago and was so disappointed at first spritz. I was seriously taken aback by the atrocity that was filling my nose - a masculine lime aftershave smell is all I got. I washed it off because I’d gotten a few other scents in the mail that day and was ready to try something else. This sat on the shelf with no desire to reach for it. Until yesterday, knowing I wouldn’t be leaving the house, I decided to try it again - same masculinity, same lime, same aftershave... then 15 minutes later something happened and I fell in love. I can’t even describe the dry down on this one but it is so beautiful and worth the first fifteen minutes of avoiding smelling every part of my body I’ve sprayed. This is going to be my spring scent on days I’m not feeling strong florals. Despite the hint of leather and woodiness, I think this is going to perform well in the warmer months. This will be a repurchase for me, for sure!

echurch1979

This perfume is an enigma. Truthfully, I want to be mad at it. Its sharply pungent at the beginning, enough so that I am forced to squint through the fog to identify the notes composing this act-of-faith purchase. As notes, quite like turpentine, begin to dissipate, I get a very clean, cold and genuine conifer voice. I'm not entirely sure if this is the bold decision to mix violet with lime, or it refers to the "woody notes" in the base profile. I believe this could be the peak of interest and likeability hidden within, because as dry down begins, the scent itself loses way into perfume oblivion. Then again, my nose could be blown out by the opening, and I just don't notice the melody anymore. (There's a tree and forest analogy here, I'm sure of it!) The meat of this perfume is very masculine; not that that has stopped me in the past. It is both bright and dark at the same time. It's almost what I envision yuppy skiers wearing at a resort during winter vacation. Leather, unfortunately, comes late just as the party is breaking up. It is very interesting. It can be a bit charming in the middle, and finds a touch of humanity at the end. I respect this gamble, but I doubt if I will ever purchase it again.

ManoChrome

I can't believe I did not review this little gem yet. I hesitated so long before buying it. After all I did, and it was such a great purchase! I would like to start with the beautiful, solid and really deep black bottle. It gives the first impression of elegance and quality. The scent on me is a beautiful bergamot earl grey tea. I find it rather funny that black tea is not listed among the notes. It is very pronounced. Flowery notes make it a bit softer, and finally comes the soft, but also daring and sexy leather note which prevents it from becoming yet another Elizabeth Arden Green Tea flanker.
I think it is nice, wearable but never dull or boring. It does not smell overly masculine on me. I feel confident and sexy wearing it.
And last but not least, it is so much more original and interesting than Voce Viva...it is a shame it is discontinued. I will certainly try to get a backup on this one and on CK2, another beautiful and unusual discontinued gem.

marreth

I’ve been using the perfume for years and I seriously love it. Everyone mentions the lime but it’s a note that dies down pretty quickly. What’s left after awhile is a leathery masculine scent that seems to melt with the skin. If you don’t like super feminine perfumes this is a good one to try. Despite the affordable price it honestly smells and acts like an expensive perfume. One spray can last all day for me. Maybe it’s just my own skin chemistry but I use my bottle up pretty quick with how much I like it. Probably not a scent that’s for everyone though so get a sample first

mamakatkasey

Blind buy. This is the smell of regret. Smells of Soap, and overpowering Nanna soap at that.
I'm incredibly open minded, but I simply do not get what everyone else is raving on about.
I don't even know what to do with it, it's so bad.

Lanka

Interesting take on Lime. Usually, lime and citruses smell very bathroomy on me. I am glad this is not the case :) The citrus note is softened by the flower accord here. You can either double spray or layer with other leather based fragraneces as it is true it does not last very long. But, no good thing lasts forever, right? I really love the small black bottle.

LuckyStar1

Picked up a 75ml EdP in Savers for £4.99 fresh lime and light florals nice. Smells like Tom Ford Azure Lime.

h_aifisch

I am absolutely in LOVE with lady gaga's fame perfume, its expensive and hard to find though. In my search I found this one, it was 7$ an ounce on eBay so I decided to give it a try. I'm not going to say I regret buying it, but I definitely won't be wearing this. I'm thinking this must have simply aged poorly, because I can't image lady gaga would smell this and actually sell it under her name. This perfume is like artificial lime scented smelling salts specifically crafted to induce migraines. If you just smell the cap, you get more of a retro cologne vibe. Kinda reminds me of what I imagine a greasy male music producer that forces girls to sleep with him would smell like.
Overall, a HUGE let down compared to Fame. This is not even worth 7$ unless you're a gaga fan looking for something pretty to put on a shelf.
Seriously. Turn back now.

I bought a small 30ml bottle of this stuff for less than $10 and let me tell you what an investment it has been!

This fragrance is mad mercurial in best way!

Like most people, on first spritz, I get a huge dose of lime and then it immediately fades off.

What is left is a bona-fide tea fragrance (must be the violet?), sweet and a little woody. I get no leather from this frag at all.

It's just really damn pleasant. I come home and change into cozy clothes and spritz this on because it's such a calming olfactory experience for me. I immediately feel centered and zen after. I also like wearing this scent to bed because it's longevity is laughable. This stuff is gone in like 3-4 hours, so it's perfect to wear around the house or go to sleep.

I don't love wearing it out of the house for the same reason, though.

I kind of love that most people don't like this frag because it keeps the cost of it cheap for people like me who are gaga over it 😂

Chesco

Lime + Violet simple frag, mixed with a few more smaller ingredients. Early 1990's female frag scent, boring, dated and not appealing, smells like an older women and would not make me attracted to a girl wearing this. Dry-off has a slightly little hint of new car leather if you focus on the scent.

Priced extreemly affordable on discounters for a younger female, yet scent too dated for a 2020 young female.

It's 'okay' and nothing exciting. Easy pass for me for most people in both sexes. But like anything in the world it can be subjective for the right person. Reminds me of dollar store perfume.

Not enjoying this one y'all, I've tried so hard lol. It smells like men's aftershave or barbershop. I need to find something to layer it with to make it wearable for me or swap it. I'm sorry but it is not for me :(

Update: Okay, I think I am liking this now. I layer it with Tommy Girl and it makes it a lot more interesting.

Nataliemarie

This was my first skin test. I immediately got the Lime & Violet. The Violet made me wanna hurl. Not a note I like, so...that's why. I read about the drydown change, so I was begging for it. Sure enough, there it was. The soft Leather. Almost like Soft Leather & Soft Musk blended. Def a unisex scent, but not Masculine. Not too far into this, it's now a scent scent. It's nice. My skin eats perfume, so I may do a shirt test & come back & update. So far, just a mediocre "Ok" for me. I didn't like her first one, so, I was hoping....I have over 500 in my insane collection, & I am downsizing. Decluttering is happnin' on YT if you are interested, this will be in there ;) Natalie N On Youtube

Man here.. This is my second review for this stuff, instead of erasing my original review I decided to leave it up here so that if you happen to scroll down and read it, you’ll see my complete 180• change of opinion of this stuff. For me It was a like back then, but now it’s a complete love. I love it like a fat kid loves cake. To say that I’m jealous that you women have this scent in your category is an understatement. I was gifted this stuff from a large 7 bottle purchase and out of my 400+ bottle cologne collection this is the one I keep reaching for. When wearing this stuff I feel happy and I can’t explain it.

I receive compliments from everybody when wearing this stuff too. Men and women just keep saying “oh wow what are you wearing” you smell good! I’m now scouring the internet looking for bottles of this stuff so I don’t have to break the bank paying for it at a mall. Lime up top, violet in the middle, and leather/woody notes on the bottom is a recipe for a beautiful smelling person. This was made for women but a man confident enough can pull this off and I would suggest this for other men to try. For fun I decided to compare this to Tom Ford’s azure lime and it’s close, real close. It lacks some of the depth, musk, and quality ingredients, but for the average passerby I can honestly say they couldn’t tell the difference.

First impressions- This stuff grows on you..and Slowly becomes a love.
Longevity-3-4 hours
Silage- Arms reach
Versatility- Exceptional
Season-Summer
Day or Night- Day/Night
Compliments- 9 unsolicited compliments, 4 women, 5 Men
Value- Exceptional considering your getting a TF scent for $30 bucks
Repeat purchase- Absolutely-No brainer
Personal rating- 9/10

I snatched 30 ml of it, as it has become discontinued and people find it harder and harder to get hold on this. So I thought that I just must use the chance, I can't let it slip. It was a blind buy I must admit. After spraying it, it immediately opens with strong lime, green tea notes. A minute into it lime isn't that much detectable anymore and I smell weird green tea. I don't mean weird in a bad way, it's just not your usual green tea note, it smells like green tea candies from my fave confectionery that I looooved some time ago. About 30 minutes in and the candied green tea is gone, I smell soft leather with something soap-y and there is no sweetness left at all. It's a cozy manly scent I'm left with. Even though I love some manly scents (like chanel bleu) and I sometimes steal them from my boyfriend (sorry babe) I think I am going to pass this on to him without any intention to steal. It's a manly scent that I don't think I can pull off.

mirrorghost

at first i get an aromatic woody lime. i just read an online review and i now realize the other thing i'm smelling is tea. lime, tea, woods and a hint of violet. it's very refreshing and i don't have a lot of refreshing scents so i definitely am needing something like this in my collection. it dries down to a soft citrus-woods scent. the 2nd time trying it, i got a lot more leather (thankfully) and like it even better when i can smell more of the leather. yay.

Dabarefootbombshell

This scent it not masculine or feminine because it's a whole vibe. It has a citrus burst that goes more aromatic than zesty. This is a unisex fougere than dials back on the overpowering minty herbal that make me run from most fougere's. I was one the fence about acquiring this scent. Not because I didn't think I'd like it but because I was afraid I already had a few scents that I wanted to like but was sadly disappointed. So glad I hopped off the fence and went for this scent and two backup bottles. Eau de Gaga did not come to play with the "generic" celebrity scents. Lady Gaga wanted us to have a chance to smell expensive and fresh AFFORDABLY and I am not mad at all.

Aland2020

Oh yeah this little lime beauty isn’t going anywhere. I had just placed it into my pile of perfumes I contemplate getting rid of, when I decided to spritz it on tonight. And it is creating the coolest refreshing sensation around me even though it’s hot enough for a hen to lay hard boiled eggs outside right now, and the air conditioner seems as though it’s in the fight of its life right now but it’s losing the battle. I’m sweaty and exasperated but this fragrance has transported me to another place entirely. I wanna reopen the cap and bathe in this stuff but I won’t. I will however, be keeping it on rotation for the next month and hopefully this will get me through the end of summer.

I really just get fresh juicy limes out of this fragrance. No violet, no leather unless it’s a very subtle leather. Something more akin to suede I would say. But that lime! Bursting, zesty, tingling and energizing!

I went from almost turning this one out on its tail, to looking for a twin backup bottle online! Absolutely 10000% unisex too I might add. The wearer just has to love citrus. It’s a shame she stopped putting out fragrances, this one is really quite good and underrated. But that’s alright with me, I’ll be buying up some of these unloved under-the-radar bottles shortly!

Seaworthy

The bottle and presentation for this fragrance is top notch. Totally gift worthy. The fragrance itself although composed of few notes smells much more complex and expensive that it is. I get more of a masculine vibe but I very much enjoy wearing this fragrance as a woman. This fragrance hits the mark as unisex which I'm sure was the intention. The bergamot and violet combine sweetly and perfectly, the woody notes and leather are apparent on the dry down. I do detect a pleasant black tea note on the top and throughout the wearing even though it is not listed. A concert of olfactory bliss! As others have said the performance of this perfume is lacking in both longevity and sillage, it's not abysmal but if that feature was enhanced this fragrance would be a total winner. That is the only draw back here. Quite pleased with this fragrance overall.

Update: I wore this fragrance the other day and I smelled it on myself and my clothes all day long! Not strongly but fragrant whiffs as I moved throughout the day. It seems to last longer on me in warm weather. I was pleasantly surprised!

malafide

I love this. Opened it, sprayed it around, then wore it, then went and bought another bottle immediately, because it feels like 90% of scents I love are discontinued. Am considering getting another bottle just in case. It's clean, uncomplicated, yet very fresh and not... simplistic. So little notes, such an effect.

IMadeleine

it smells like the price it has: cheap.

nothing to do with niche as some people said about it.

Lady Gaga seems hell bent on confusing all of us. Her first go-around in the world of scent (Fame, which was released in 2012) seemed docile compared to her public image. It was shocking in that it was not shocking at all. I believe most people were expecting something dark and mysterious and when we were given something completely opposite, it left people scratching their heads in wonder. Even though I liked "Fame", it seemed like a tame outing for someone as eccentric as Lady Gaga. Fast-forward to 2014 and the release of her second perfume, Eau de Gaga. Again, I feel like we are left scratching our heads for a second time, wondering if a perfume will ever be released that will represent Lady Gaga's public persona. I do like Eau de Gaga but it seems far removed from the image of Lady Gaga that I perceive her to be. This perfume is very "green." It reminds me of cut grass on a spring day. Years ago, I used to really like The Healing Garden products. They had one scent that was called Green Teatherapy. I used to like their body wash in that scent and for whatever reason, Eau de Gaga reminds me of it. It's not a bad thing but I was expecting something a little more Gaga-esque. I'm not disappointed but I keep finding myself wanting something more from her. Maybe the joke's on us. Maybe she wants her scents to show that she's a lot more than what her public image boasts. Maybe she's trying to show that she's not just the woman we see on the stage, that she has many different sides to herself and one way of expressing that is through her perfumes. One thing is for sure, she continues to shock us with her perfume releases, just not in the way one would expect. Lady Gaga seems to be more of an enigma than one would think and Eau de Gaga along with Fame, prove that theory. Eau de Gaga seems hard to find (in my city anyway.) I looked high and low for this fragrance but couldn't find it anywhere. Every store had Fame but not Eau de Gaga. It wasn't until stores starting putting out their boxed fragrance sets for the holiday season that I was finally able to find a 50ml. bottle of it along with a bottle of matching shower gel for 59 dollars, plus tax. Happy to have it, glad I tried it but it's not destined to be one of my must-have favourites.

92juanjavier

The first time I sprayed it on my wrist I felt it reminded me a lot of another perfume, exactly Roberto Cavalli Uomo, it smells very, very similar.
It is a very pleasant aroma of white violet with bergamot, the violet is very powerful, I love it.
Unfortunately, its longevity and its sillage are very poor.
It would have been a fantastic creation if it lasted much longer and especially if it had a powerful sillage, but it lacks both.

Plamka

To me this smells really unusual, like mouthwash and piss, towards the drydown it became bearable but still wasn't spectacular.
I am sorry people didnt like my previous 'dislike' comment and deleted it but i believe its valid and should be here, as a warning for people with similar perfume-taste to mine.
I woouldn't wear this, its not likeable and smells more like b.o.

Nijntje

Blind buy, because it was only 5 euro's for a
cute 15ml bottle and the unisex scent seemed interesting on paper.

At first I'm blasted with anise. It reminds me of an old Dutch drink, a warm mug of sweet anise-milk before bed. Then warm spices peek through making it smell more like a gents scent, before soapy florals show up, softening the concoction again. The drydown is a little flat. Thin somehow, like a gentle aftershave balm. It's a clean, spicy skin scent with almost no projection at all.

My boyfriend smacked his lips when he smelled it. He though it slightly edible. We both pick up licorice and anise seed even though nothing of the sort is listed in the notes. Weird. Eau de Gaga isn't great, but it's not bad either, we agreed.

Guys can wear this to the office, girls can... wear it in pyjamas watching Netflix? On me, F(31), it has a very clean, after-shower sort of vibe. I don't think it's that sexy or saying a whole lot at all, but I think it would be pleasant, warm and non-offending on anyone, guy or girl. (And it's not as if it breaks the bank.)

octobertragedy

I like the interesting twist of the lime note in this fragrance. I am also surprised to see that it has few notes listed. The lime and the violet are very present, there is also a smoky leathery note in the background. It is not the average celebrity scent. By definition a unisex fragrance. I love the masculine side of it. When I say masculine, I mean dark, green, crisp notes. I'm not referring to the gender, because fragrances are for everybody and everybody can wear anything as long as they like it.
Judging by the presentation and the bottle, I was expecting something much daring, deeper and stronger in therms of performance, but I was disappointed because it fades into a watery sweet lemonade scent after less than 2 hours. I guess I will use it mostly in summer because I like the dark citrus blend.

manpen

At first it's pretty nasty, a huge initial alcohol burst, sweet floral rush cancelled out by sour lemon/lime and the smell of washing up liquid water going down a drain with the char from a burnt pot you've just cleaned, and a stale pot of tea you've junked. In some ways it almost feels like a heavily watered down black sheep, cousin to the big coriander notes that kick of 'Secretions Manifique'.

After about an hour it settles into a pleasant tea/floral as if you poured a cup of Earl Grey and added a slice of lime and dropped in a few edible flowers - although its sweetness seems to come from a background of a slightly fetid honey.

Projection was weak on me and it lacks much longevity but for the price you would pay, it's pretty interesting and a little surprsingly, quite wearable, given the opening. Totally unisex with the feminine floral more than damped down by the tea notes and earthy sweet note.

The bottle is great - classy black glass and chrome.

isabelleschou

I was looking at this one in the drugstore, thinking “Lady Gaga, Eau de Gaga, hmm, probably just another generic celebrity juice”. But I must admit that I was very curious, because Lady Gaga’s personality and style is anything but generic. So, I bought it and guess what; shame on me for not expecting much from Lady Gaga, because her fragrance Eau de Gaga is a fun Little Monster! See what I did there? 😉
Completely ignoring the risk of being cliché, I would call this one avant-garde, just like Lady Gaga herself, who reportedly was very much hands-on in creating the fragrance alongside Givaudan perfumer, Ursula Wandel.
Eau de Gaga is a unisex fragrance and I get why it is polarizing; the lime - either you love it, or you hate it. Considering the simple list of notes, it manages to surprise bigtime. It is limy fresh, floral sweet, powdery, woody and leathery - sparkling but mysterious, uplifting but daring - I am impressed by the fun juxtapositions.
It opens with a big HELLO!!! from the lime, which to me is shampoo-like clean, and honestly, it makes me smile from ear to ear. After a few minutes, the white violet blooms, adding a lovely and romantic floral sweetness and powdery fluffiness. The lime is still going strong. Then the woody notes and leather emerge without making too much noise, supporting the floral heart and tempering the lime. About an hour in, I get understated sensuality from the woody notes and leather with a veil of white violet and a hint of lime. Also, I get black tea, which is not in the list of notes, so I am guessing it is part of the leather accord.
Unfortunately, the performance is not the best, the dry down happens rather quickly, still very lovely though. I am not angry about it, as the fragrance is very affordable, and you can reapply it many times throughout the day without breaking the bank. On me, it becomes a skin scent after about an hour and a half. That, however, lasts for quite a while. The projection is within arm’s length.
I find that the scent differs a little depending on skin chemistry. My skin amped up the wood and leather. My boyfriend’s skin amped up the floral sweetness. He has been wearing it for several days, straying from his signature scent, Boss Bottled, so it seems to be a true unisex fragrance.
I would wear this for any occasion year-round, primarily in the daytime.
Tip: Bring the bottle with you so you can reapply throughout the day.

Please tell me this was not discontinued. Prices have gone up online and I am terrified. If you have any information on this, please send me a DM.

Jacquis

On my skin, Eau de Gaga is a light, fresh, transparent, herbal aromatic which is definitely unisex. It borders on being a classic fougere. There is even a tea-like note in here. I do not sense the leather nor the woods. More of a transparent aromatic. Very pleasant and classic for all seasons but would be especially nice in spring/summer. Longevity is good for me. Great value.

DaedalusX

I was gifted this when I made one of my large purchase orders from my online cologne supplier. I was originally going to email the supplier about the mistake but I checked on here first about the scent, and decided to jus keep it and try it one day. I originally thought this was for only women but was curious when I seen it was unisex. Today was my first wear and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. What my nose gathers and what’s in the pyramid on here just doesn’t match. To me this is herbal, much like the Salvatore Ferragamo scents I own which is a great thing. I can definitely see the masculine appeal in this and I would agree that this is a unisex scent but in my opinion this leans more towards a feminine scent.

If you’re a woman that appreciates a man’s cologne but still want that feminine smell then this would be perfect for you. And for any men who want a Salvatore Ferragamo type scent but a little more of a floral dry down then this one is for you. It’s not a bad scent. But I personally would never buy this, and I won’t repeat it again. I’d give this a solid 7/10 for what it is.

RandomAccount007

I got a 30mL of this for free with the purchase of another fragrance. I'd almost rather not have any mL of this one. It's my second time trying it and my second time wanting to wash it off.

It's not the worst fragrance you'll ever smell, but it's definitely something I'd want to smell on myself or anyone.

mevans

I like this one. The fresh, sweet lime against the woody leather. It's got a men's cologne vibe. When the lime fades a bit you notice the floral, the violet comes into play. Great, unique scent. Really inexpensive but it doesn't seem that way when you wear it. Performance is not the best though, I wish it lasted longer on my skin.

FragranceLover00

Most celebrity fragrances tend to be mediocre, casual and typical, as the name of the celebrity draws more attention than the perfume. However, there are exceptions. There are celebrity fragrances that smell so lovely and so expensive they resemble high-end fragrances (e. g. Chanel, Dior...). This perfume is one of them.
Before purchasing, I read reviews of it so I could know what others thought about the fragrance. The name of my favourite singer made me want it. Perhaps, if it was not released with her name on it, I would have never tried it. This is a precious gemstone, for its price, it is wonderful.
To begin with, the box is beautiful. The red color of it combines with the black color of the bottle in a luxurious way. I have the biggest size possible ofc (75 ml, it is not enough for me lmaoo). The box opens up from the front and says "the masterpiece" on the top of it. It is really creative, the designers truly have a fantasy.
The bottle is simple and pretty. It feels incredible, as if I had paid a fortune for it which is the exact opposite of what it actually costs. The cap feels heavy and cold, I believe it was made of metal. I like how the silver plate makes the bottle look even prettier. One drawback is that it is completely opaque black. There is no way one could know how much liquid is left. I use it rarely, because I want to keep it for as long as possible. If I have the chance, I will repurchase 2 back-up bottles of it, so I can truly enjoy this wonderful scent.
When I first sprayed it, it smelled mostly of lime. However, it was not nasty, it did not smell like medicine (which was my biggest fear). It was pleasant and fresh. I began smelling the violet after 20 minutes. I sniffed so deeply it got stuck in my nose. The fragrance is strong, so I believe it is more suitable for cold weather. The longevity is great for a celebrity perfume - 1 spray lasts at least 5 hours. This stuff is strong - 2 sprays on my neck and I still vividly smell it 7 hours later. If you overdo it, you will be suffocated xd It stays close to the body, but still reaches my nose for hours on end. It can be used for any event providing the weather is not too warm, since it is strong. This intoxicating scent is suitable for both women and men, but leads towards the masculine side. After several hours, it is drier and softer, therefore more feminine. To me, it is fantastic.
(if anyone has reached this line, thank you for the patience. <3)

This is a hot horrible mess I decided to try this again tonight to decide if I was going to get rid of it, fortunately I was wearing it to bed it smells sooooo bad that I had to wash it off here's the kicker it still stayed on my skin , never again will I wear this I wouldn't give this away because I wouldn't want anyone to be subjected to this atrocity

ameda

Vanessa is spot on: after the initial bright citrus opening rolls off, Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga smells exactly like high-end hotel toiletries - not unlike much pricier Hermes Eau de Citron Noir Cologne. It is very pleasant and comfortable to wear for all genders, does not smell cheap, will likely pull neither compliments nor objections, but delivers nothing one might expect from Mother Monster, the ArtPop Diva, or even Joanne - no edge, no innovation, no sparkle, no shock. I suppose for some, the fully non-gendered profile would have been conceptually new when this product was brought out. Performance seems good enough for an EDT at this price point, though weak for an EDP, as this purports to be. The red foil package and black glass bottle with silver placards are elegant, though hardly groundbreaking. Definitely a good value and IMO among the best celebrity frags available at sub $20US/100ml.

loverdoll78264

Fresh lime at the outset strong burst of Earl Gray tea, the very light violet spiciness pullingthe lime and tea together. About that time the leather and woods come up softly. I like the effect even if it veers unisex.Gaga has done well here, as this does smell expensive. It is unique unto itself, much like Gaga herself. A very good purchase for buying blind, indeed.

rhomiyo

Along with the “official” notes, I personally get an earthy-leafy note in the mid, and a moderately soft tea note that lingers nicely in the dry down.

soapaddict

Stunning UNISEX fragrance,smells niche-like <3
Also, the scent is a 99% similar to I'M PERFECT For Him by AVON-2005 <3 But it is discontinued now.
Every day I enjoy a "throw-back" to 2005 <3

gardencat13

I doubt I would have ever tried this, if left to my own devices, but I happened to receive a small bottle as a gift with purchase of another perfume so, one morning I opened it up and gave it a try.

Wow! I was very pleasantly surprised by this scent. I hadn't checked out the notes before trying it, so I wasn't influenced by what I had read, and my first impression was, tea, tea, tea with a fresh lime accent. Then a light floral note. As it dried down a bit, the wood and leather come in and, to borrow a phrase from a previous review ( @sitingqueen) add some muscularity to the blend, and keep it from floating off into a totally light tea/citrus.

I have trouble connecting this to some of the previous reviews here. I know we all perceive things differently but some of the comments about this one just seem so different from what I experience. In any case, all I can tell you is what I smell and feel.

To me this is a lovely, bright, tea scent with a little more tooth than many popular tea scents I've tried. If I have any disappointment it is that it doesn't last all that long but then I find that with most scents in this category. My Mon Jasmine Noir which, while it doesn't smell the same is, to me, a similar kind of perfume ( I'd tend to reach for it in the same situations in which I'd wear this one) lasts no longer on me and costs a good deal more.

Overall I'd say this is a great choice for hot summer days. You may need to re-apply often but, in hot weather, I find it pleasant to re-spritz frequently so that's not really that much of a problem for me. I find it unisex and fresh and an absolute bargain compared to other similar scents. The bottle is also very nice and elegant feeling.

scentitar

Amazing value for money. You get a odd and almost balsamic opening with dark floral and then the dark floral and white violet shines through. This fragrances almost has a raw white patchouli nature, but becomes smooth and skin like. A odd creature of a fragrance with a Boss lady vibe for sure.

A bit daring and Niche like in creativity and well blended. Again for 20 usd for a full size bottle, this is a real value that won't last.

I am a man and cannot wear this , but some daring men could wear this. Very good fragrance for the money and this would be surprisingly good for a designer fragrance, but kudos for a celebrity fragrance.

4 to 6 hours longevity, fair to soft projection , fair silage. Again the opening is a bit odd, but the dry down is the payoff.

Got this as a part of the BOGO on Fragrancebuyca.

Tmickey71

Had read about this one and was Super Interested because I absolutely love LIME. Picked this up as a free gift with purchase on a recent promotion with fragrancebuy. Honestly I expected a lot, since the main note is lime and plus the comparisons with Tom Ford. What I remember from childhood is the English Leather Lime cologne in the local drugstore. I fell in love with this scent as a young man, but never had any money growing up. I saw a bottle on ebay, just not sure if a partial used bottle will deliver the same experience. The scent with Gaga is extremely floral and absolutely choking and headache producing. I scrubbed where I had sprayed to wash the fragrance off and I could still smell it on my skin hours later. Rather disappointed in this one, I don't have any use for it. The black bottle looks nice, but the lid doesn't seem to fit easily. I would discourage anyone from purchasing this Gaga if you're one who loves lime, this is not going to deliver. Wish SOMEONE in the fragrance community could produce a decent lime fragrance or maybe English Leather needs to do a re-release of Lime.

sitingqueen

Initial blast of lime provides crispness, which is a clever combination with the violet, which is not a popular scent. Predominant violet notes have an association with antiquity for me. I have Penhaligon violet and Violetta di Parma which are basically soliflores, and not au courant. Although I really like violet, I don't wear them very often because they seem dated to me.

Gaga is very modern, and the leather and woody notes provide some muscularity to the violet scent. I can see wearing this one for casual times. I may layer this with the soliflores.
Not much sillage and moderate longevity for me. I am glad I bought it, but would not buy it again.
Not a safe blind buy, but as it is very inexpensive, I would try it if it if you have any interest at all.

Vostok308

There's a mimosa smell which comes out when it's on my skin and I don't like it. It's more of a mimosa accord because there's none listed as an ingredient.
I don't like it one little bit.
The lime on me is like lime rind that has been left to dry out and the leather gives a cheap feel.
So, dry lime rind, mimosa and cheap plasticky leather. No thanks.
Tart's handbag.
On the plus side you get a lot of juice for your money and performance is at least average.
Not everyone shares the same view as me so it's great value for those who resonate with it.

cayZ

Absolutely amazing. I love it more than my Dior Sauvage haha.

stylishraccoon

I like this a lot! The longevity is 5-8 hours for me, but after that I can still smell it on my skin if I sniff close.

I like the simplicity with few smells, but that works togheter well.

The fragrance is unisex I would say, it starts with a strong nice lime smell with a hint of violet underneath. After a while the woody and leathery smell starts coming through.

I have seen some people say it is to maskuline but I dont feel that, it is a good unisex fragrance.

Dawnfiller

I blind bought this Eau de Gaga in a 3 pc gift set on Amazon. Read reviews afterwards and got nervous! Luckily on my skin it opens smelling like black tea with hint of lemon then dries down to sweetened mint tea. No leather or violets or other notes. In 84 degree weather today this tea scent is refreshing and exactly what I want! Love it!!!

This has surprisingly good projection blasting sweet tea with lingering trail the first hour then stays a strong skin scent for about 6 hours. I suspect it will last longer when I layer it with the body cream and shower gel next time. This blind buy is a success! I plan to buy backup bottles and wear this often in spring and summer!

courant

I have liked this from the outset. Bought it blind when Victoria Frolova of Bois de Jasmin did a review on it. I couldn't add anything to that wonderful review, so pop along and read it there. It's perfect for hot weather and I love the bottle. The mini is adorable for a handbag backup. It occurs to me that Lady Gaga has more notches in her leather belt since 'Star is Born' and I associate the fragrance more with her role in the film than the dazzling stage performer. Very well done.

aussiecolognelover88

Gorgeous!! Absolutely gorgeous!! A perfect summer scent for a sweltering hot day, it’s so refreshing with its herby/ zesty opening, and then it turns into a delicious light leathery punch. The longevity and sillage is pathetic, considering it’s an EDP I was expecting more of a long lasting scent, on me it seemed to disappear almost after only 1 hour. Still, the price and wonderful smell makes up for its shortcomings in regards to longevity, as it’s cheaper I don’t mind using a bit more and reapplying through the day. I have a feeling it’s out of distribution now too, I shall be reserving my bottle for only the hottest days of summer. Very sexy bottle too, reminds me of the Tom Ford style.

I've had this on my arm for hours now and just as the note pyramid above shows, it's a lime and lilac combo with supporting leather. I can detect the woods under it all, but the lime/lilac thing is prominent. A simple, uncomplicated fragrance which isn't like anything else I've got, which is good. I like it. One for the morning for me, or during the Spring/Summer months. When I wear it properly for the first time I'll hammer it as it's not a heavy-hitter and I like the clean floral lime that remains at the top through drydown. Nice.

Edit: I've layered this with the smoky mint/lime-heavy Guerlain Homme EDP 2016 and the results were quite good. But Eau de Gaga was not drowned out - the quite 'high' lime note soars above the Guerlain's deeper lime and spicy mint as its patchouli slowly creeps through Gaga's lime. Very interesting. I love a good layer, me.
Edit: Def. unisex btw.

GagMyFrag

Okay, so i finished an entire 50mL bottle of this a while back, and what I can say is it's sillage and longevity are its major downfalls, BUT it is one of the most refreshing scents i've owned.

It starts off a big burst of fresh lime, and simply just dries down to a nice clean unisex woody vanilla/white floral. Anyone can honestly wear this as even if it's too feminine or masculine it dies down fast enough for it not to really matter and turns into more of a "skin" scent. I wear this just coming out of the shower as a spritzer or on hot days when I need a refresher as its very uplifting and secure, completely different from Fame which is much heavier and syrupy.

Blind buy worthy but after about 3 hours it dies. Perfect for summer.

Update:
I now put it in the bathroom and spray it all over my naked, just out of shower body. It smells fantastic like that & I smell like I was born with this light, sophisticated and edgy fragrance!

----------

My real-feel review:

As someone mentioned it smells like a proper, high end hotel, luxurious soap, aftershave cream and breakfast tea: Correct.

*Opening: clean fresh herbal mixed with comfortable violet (violet is usually an instant NO for me). It smelled very very elegant and soft, I like this vibe, I definitely smelled the sweetness too, citrusy but not sour at all.

*Mid-body: Tea, which is once again never my choice, this phase lasts pretty long, about 2 hours on me. I am still adapting to it, but I think it will be perfect for a day that you just really want to feel yourself without being interrupted, it gives you your own clean vibes and aura to focus on work etc. The sillage is within arm length.

*Finish: Surprisingly it really quiets down and started to smell like soft, powdery, tiny bit bouquet and tiny vanilla-y leather, I think this dry down is perfect to go to sleep with.

HeidiLynn

I really like this fragrance, but I could see it being divisive. The bright, green lime-y start is bold and not quite (at least on my skin) screechy, but I could see it going in that direction. The leather fortunately keeps the screech in check and smooths it out, makes it mellow. As the leather becomes more prominent, the lime then balances the leather, keeping it a little light and clean, more like a clean, light suede jacket than a heavy leather one. The lime-leather in this made me think of Faith Hill's True fragrance, which has yuzu and woody notes which end up smelling somewhat similar--the woody notes there do what the leather and woody notes do here, tone down the citrus and make it feel lived in, muted and kind rather than shrill and austere.

Longevity on me is great, 11 hours and going strong but mostly just a smooth leather note--which I won't complain about! The bottle is sleek and sturdy, not very interesting but hefty and with a classic vibe in my opinion. Its winter (California winter, so chilly but not really cold) and this is just fine, very cozy. I like it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean leather scent or a soft and mellow citrus; I do think it could easily be unisex, it sits right in the middle--not too masculine nor too feminine.

mariahedenstrom

More like "eau de gag" luckily my husband though it was an ok cologne and used up the 30ml bottle.

sibaraa

An after shave cologne for MEN ONLY!!!!!!

clare.87

I bought this as a blind buy as I was going through a clean citrus phase last summer.

On first spray you get a really loud whack of lime and leather, almost a generic aftershave/showergel BUT once it settles down the most beautiful, clean, violet smell radiates off.
It's literally the most noticeable dry down change I've ever had in my perfume collection.

This isn't long lasting but what do you expect from a celeb perfume? It's cheap enough to keep yourself topped up throughout the day.

thethe

Got 1oz for $7.
You get what you pay for!

Make no mistake, it’s rather cheap smelling.

-Also, it’s pretty clear that the power behind lady has heavily influenced the review of the scent. MANY “friends” pushing this.

thethe

Agree with satinne 100%.

Satinne

I thought this would be heavier, more leathery fragrance, but I was wrong. Very citrusy, real lime with violet. Its definitely not a masculine sent, I cant imagine a man wearing this, its too feminine. Fresh, great for summer. But lasting power is very short, no longer than an hour. Too bad all citrsy fragrances dont last. Wouldn't buy this just because it doesn't last long.

Update. It doesn't last on skin, but it does last on clothes for few hours in a soft silage.

hopevilla

Soap. A blast of (admittedly good) lime, then just straight-up soap.

AHeartLikeMine

A bit masculine and very citrusy at first. Dries down to a really nice, clean, almost-but-not-really soapy scent. I think I smell a bit of tea and a sweet blue/purple floral. It actually smells really nice and inoffensive after the top notes fade, a bit like a combination of Versace Versense and Jordin Sparks Ambition. It costs around $16 on Ebay, so for that price, I'd say it's definitely worth checking out.

Eau de Nikita

When I first smelled this a year ago, I immediately thought of Bath & Body Works Cool Citrus Basil. However I will have to test again and have it on hand to give a fair review. Its not fair to give the review and u don't either own the fragrance or are testing it live because u may have different feelings. It smelt really good but it was like BBW cool citrus basil from what I can remember. Who else thinks so?

DESJava

Beautiful fragrance, it is fresh and unique. Today i layer this frag with Versace Crystal Noir. It blend well and it stay longer on my skin.
Overall this is definitely worth blind buy.

TrephineArtist

I tried this a couple of hours ago. The opening blast is very fresh citrus (lime) and as mentioned by others I do get a little green tea or some kind of citrus tea vibe. I don't find it harsh or piercing at all.

Quite a pleasant scent, I doubt anyone would strongly dislike it, unless it's frag snobbery or a dig at Gaga. Not sure I like it enough to buy it and I think it's the leather note which puts me off a little, but at least it's not too strong a leather I guess.

Worth considering as it's very inexpensive. A subtle & fresh scent with a decent presentation.

rowenaaine

Not my usual style of frag but I don't shy away from unisex or even men's frags (Versace The Dreamer - pre-reformulation - is one of my favorites).

Having said all that, I saw Eau de Gaga for a reasonable price and, well, I like Gaga. So, I did a rare blind buy. I'm a fan of bergamot and neroli, so I hoped that I would enjoy the predominance of lime in this fragrance. That first blast, boy is it limey! Not unpleasant, just very "in your face." But after about 10 minutes the floral notes temper the citrus and the leather starts to emerge. I know this site says it is white violet, but I can't really distinguish what the floral is - just that it helps to tame the wild lime. On me, this is mostly lime and leather, and I like it. It's definitely different; fresh. I don't know if I'll reach for it often, but I enjoy it and am glad I purchased it. Going to get Fame next if only for the bottle.

DulciusExAsperis

There's got to be green tea in this... right? I get a ton of tea. Limey green tea resting on a base of very light leather. I'm surprised by how much I like this. I think this is a unisex that truly anyone could wear - I don't find it leans more traditionally masculine OR more traditionally feminine which I think is rare.

It's hard to imagine someone truly disliking this; it smells like a a high-end line of citrus green tea body products that you might find in a very posh hotel.

AntigoneAscending

Oh my Gaga!!!
Why have I waited so long to try this one??
This potion is glorious! (I say potion because this simple black bottle looks so dark, lavish and bewitching!)
The initial blast of lime is zingy and fresh, but violet quickly follows, mellowing out the lime and giving it a powdery softness. After a bit in strolls the sexy smell of leather and woods. They all are so well blended and wafts of them all drift up to my nose throughout the day and I am in love!! Lets recap...fun fresh lime into powdery floral into sensual (with a capital S!!!) leather/woody notes. What is not to love!?!? It lingers all day and I can still smell the woody/leather hotness on my skin in the morning! Amazing! And this just smells so posh and fine! Like a paid $$$ for this and really I paid less than 10$ for a 1oz bottle.
Honestly, no matter your gender, you could wear this androgynous beauty, and rock it!! Everyone should try this fragrance! You get so much more than you pay for!!!

Eyedean

To my nose, this one is a lot like Mugler Cologne. A LOT alike! On my skin I do not get the leather, i get plenty of lime and florals. It lasts about 4-5 hours on me and it projects for 1-1,5h. A nice one if you enjoy Mugler Cologne.

JesperBlacxxi

This is very masculine, so if that’s what you’re into, go for it. It’s mainly leather, to me, with some lime. The woodsy notes come through, which is nice, but they never take the front seat. This is something I would buy for my boyfriend, but I personally wouldn’t wear (despite being a Gaga fan).

arkadyofficial

sorry haters, but this one is a masterpiece of celebrity perfumery. I need a lifetime suppply of it!

pjspaceshit

I dont enjoy this fragrance on paper or on clothes (straight up citrus and leather), but on my skin its actually quite nice! It settles into mint tea with the smallest pinch of brown sugar/honey.

andor

Nah. The reviews promise something so strange and androgynous. It does open with a beautiful salted black licorice vibe but almost immediately turns into a fairly normal inoffensive clean purple anise herbal soap. It makes me think of a suited financial-district businessman. Maybe he's the stylish one in his firm, but that might only be because his colleagues are boring. This is just not for me but I can see how so many people like it, it's sorta nice. If you know any confident young MBA's with a good sense of humor (eau de gaga lol) who want to smell special at job interviews, this could be a unique gift. I personally don't, so I hope this makes someone's day at the thrift store.

JamiesonB

The YT reviewer Nigel from the channel 2 Scents Worth put me on to this and it's my first ever celebrity frag.
I must admit I was sceptical about how good it would be but blind bought it as it's only £11 or so in UK and I'm gobsmacked as to how good it is.
Performance isn't bad at all, I get 1.5 hours moderate projection and total longevity of 6-8 hours but it is still noticeable as a faint skin scent after that.

As for the frag, right off the bat you're hit by a blast of natural smelling lime, not a chemical mess as I was expecting but smooth like you've just cut and squeezed a lime. It was so nice that it reminded me of VIW but without the tropical notes.
Soon after you get a delightfully alluring powdery white violet accord that lends a soft comforting feel to it, this holds steady for about 30 mins when the woods and leather notes join the party.
The leather to my nose was like a fainter version of ADP's Colonia Leather, no harsh synthetic mess here, but smooth fresh new gloves type leather, with not even a hint of skankiness or that sometimes off putting animalic quality cheaper leather frags can give off.

All told this is a delightful and surprisingly complex composition given it's only got four notes and well worth more than the current price tag.
A safe blind buy and highly recommended.

Bubbles1964

Bought this blind based off the reviews here. My second celebrity perfume is not disappointing, a lime/leather number that initially starts off more masculine than feminine on me. Within a few minutes it softens. And for some reason I'm picking up soap. Just an uber-clean and fresh scent. The price makes it an easy blind buy.

ladyjm89

Last perfume I’d ever thought I’d fall in love with. I picked this up in the 2.5 size for $6 and honestly expected it to smell just as cheap. But it doesn’t. It’s amazing. Refreshing, a little spicy, but overall clean and a bit green. It’s not a sugary, girly scent, but I find it suits my skin chemistry and personality perfectly. So it is a bit feminine to my nose more than masculine. My fiancé loves this on me and won’t stop sniffing me when he walks by. He says it’s his new favorite on me as well. If you like green tea, woods, citrus, and fresh, you can’t go wrong. I do not detect much powder or floral here. It’s green tea/citrus/leather/ primarily. Fabulous fragrance. Downside is, it lasts about as long as an edt.

Scent: 8/10
Sillage: 6/10
Longevity: 5/10

tayyabforyouth

Although this is produced by Lady Gaga, this is not a feminine fragrance. In fact it's perfectly androgynous; the opening is slightly masculine however while the drydown becomes more feminine over time. As for the scent, it smells surprisingly similar to Banana Republic's Vintage Green - so basically I smell green bergamot, a strong scent of green tea, the scent of fresh green leaves, hints of neroli, and a hint of vetiver leaf. It also smells somewhat like Mugler Cologne for that matter. But the thing that seperates this from those two is that this has hints of the scent of violet leaves. But mainly it's bergamot with green tea (just as in Vintage Green). I don't actually detect much lime in this (even though it's listed as a note); it's more bergamot instead. Projection is moderate while longevity is also moderate. Overall, this is a very enjoyable inexpensive fragrance that would appeal to both men and women. Oh, and it doesn't smell like Tom Ford Azure Lime at all (I believe the Tom Ford is superior, by the way, as far as scent goes, but worse in terms of longevity/projection).

4.5/5

corkscrewcurly

This is very good value for money.

I am testing from a FB and have spritzed the back of my hand twice. I've had Eau de Gaga for a while, but haven't tested it properly until today.

Initially, there's a burst of lime, then - as it dries down - I can smell green tea, despite it not being listed. I didn't read the notes or any other reviews before testing the perfume today, as I wanted to try it without any preconceptions. Scanning a few reviews now, I am pleased to see I'm not the only person who has mentioned tea.

Further into the drydown, leather becomes the predominant note to my nose, although I can still clearly smell tea. Leather can be pungent and makes me feel both uneasy AND queasy (in L'Artisan's Skin on Skin, for example), but it's very subtle in Eau de Gaga. I can't smell woody notes at all.

I haven't knowingly smelled any of the perfumes it has been compared with, so can't comment on any similarities.

Sillage is soft from the outset on me and longevity just creeps into the moderate range when sprayed on my skin (but most modern perfumes don't last on me, so please take this into consideration).

In summary - a bargain blind buy, ideal to put in the fridge and use as a cologne on hot summer days.

gtabasso

amazing for a cheap scent, you would never know it isn't niche; I bought a 1 oz bottle and wish I had gotten the larger one; it is just huge lime and leather with some wood to deepen it. I don't detect the violet unless it is a supporting player to bring down the lime from being sharp. This is sweet and rounded, lime but like a sweet lime sorbet without being gourmand, utterly unique and quality

candycane13

So good, smells like a robust tea. Smells like riding in the backseat of my parent's Trans Am as a child in the summertime. The top of the car is down and the smell of wildflowers growing in the ditch and untouched flora mixes with the aged, cracked leather of the car seats I'm sitting on. I'm eating a sticky, but so refreshing lime popsicle.

gazelle

Bought Eau de Gaga for my husband who has been searching for a lime fragrance. I tested it before he did. First came the lime note evolving into green tea where it sparkled for the next hour. I barely picked up the leather note but I did pick up on the oak moss. I was so surprised to read on the box that this fragrance has Evernia Prunastri in the base notes My chemistry quickly absorbs any fragrances (except Estee Lauder vintage Azuree Pure) so it became a skin scent in an hour or so. It is so affordable that one can happily reapply. This is a sparkling cheery scent to start a gray day or any day. I must comment that the red box is very attractive. It opens on its side like a small chest. The elegant black bottle is nestled in a black base-class at a bargain, IMO..

Tine1world

I scored a very inexpensive flacon of Lady GaGa's Black bottle of Eau De GAGA , just like her first fragrance launch was encased in black too. 'Fame' I currently have in storage.
I have been travelling, and subsequently have purchased my fragrances on the go, inexpensive fragrances at that, but not cheap versions of anything. This particular fragrance I was lucky enough to score from a reputable Chemist for a mere Aus at$ 12.99 for a 75 mill EDP. Mind you I have managed to purchase some excellent fragrances at ridiculous reduced prices, and have not been disappointed by any means on any of my purchases whilst travelling. To date.
I'm in the tropics right now and found delightfully to my surprise and as a winter approach's ; The wonderful suitability for layering this EDP.
( I must add many thanks to other 'Fragrantica' compatriot's on the topic of layering. I have in fact found that this fragrance more than suitable for this approach. SUHESA is a prime example of inspiration and expertise.)
I am definitely impressed not only by the longevity of this fragrance, but it's harking back to an era where vintage
fragrances from the early eighties even overlapping the late seventies to parfum's when a fragrance with a distinct punch had us all mesmerized, wanting more of that mystique. Mesmerized by omph! , verve at the time an expensive enveloping sensory delight, leaving behind a trail and a statement. (Ps. I used to dance a lot.)
A time when Headiness was De Rigeur, especially in my youth! And most of all unforgettable an experience was expected. I commandeered way when my fathers Karl Lagerfeld, Eau Savage and sometimes yes ladies and gents, 'Faberge's' classic 'Brut''. Yep I was and still am when possible, health permitting, an active person.
I layered this for several day's recently to check it's compositional compatibility with my own ageing mature skin and immediately felt reminiscent together with a familiar trip down memory lane where I had experienced from fragrances I had owned in my late teens, those in my possession at the time and rather outrageously priced then mind you and reflecting pure luxury from the finest designer fashion houses of the day. A distinctive memory recall upon spraying this fragrance beckoning notes most definitely capturing scent for scent, note by note 'Eau De Givency' cross 'Diorissimo' with some classic 'Chanel' No 19 thrown in for good measure; Tart and sexual, hence my intentions to layer 'Eau De Gaga' with a musky cross tuberose fragrance, with the aim of adding some missing notes to eek out its complexity and render a less unisex vibe, which incidentally I can at times be rather partial too.
This layering lasting well over 12 hours felt distinctively vintage, enjoying the sexy emotive response emanating from my cheeky body spots where I applied my layers. Together I sensed a lemony cross patchouli projection, incorporating the vibe of vintage houses. It's definitely a powerhouse fragrance one which inspires perkiness and mystique and exploration.
It may not be suitable everyone, and it can at times it may smell a tad soapy, if that's your intention. Again fragrance behaviour mutates according to weather and what you eat and what you intend it's purpose to be.
My recommendation is for those whom like this kind of fragrance and feel daring enough to experiment beyond skin scents, not to judge this fragrance on price. After all try before you buy. I layered 'Eau De Gaga' with a 'Kenzo' EDP and 'Black Musk' from my collection. I felt rather satiated and happy with the end result.
I wish my circumstances where more stable, I would have purchased another bottle of this long lived fragrance.
The flat bottle squeezes easily into a slot in my tiny bathroom cabinet, my only complaint being a small hard to see spray nozzle. A design flaw. I have to check it's position each time I want to spray. Otherwise I would recommend this wholeheartedly to aficionados of vintage Dior, Givency and Chanel. I hope there a percentage of you truly find value in 'Eau De Gaga' Cheers ...... Xoxo. T.....

davna

Test it today @Metro, opening so fresh, with tons of lime. And dry down reminds me with CH 212 Men. Should be great for tropical country.

Krisztinakkz

I just cannot deal with the leather. Its too strong!!

Tompy

Soofiya

I love to collect celebrity perfumes but I always stayed as far as possible from this one for some obvious reasons:1I hate all of it's notes 2.I usually don't go for unisex fragrances 3.I expected something weird and not easily wearable from lady gaga.however I have fame and I find it nice and wearable,I thought this is going to be something strange, sour and bitter, something trying hard to be different.let's be honest and face it.I was so wrong
Tested it today thanks to my lovely friend sahar, this is totally different with my imaginations.I can see that some people associate citrus, lavendery scent to masculine fragrances, but I found eau de gaga easily wearable and likable, and I'm a gourmand lover and a girly girl
I could smell like.violet was there but not too strong.I could also detect a hint of something like lavender.there was something green and pleasant.I agree with reviews calling it a green tea note.I can't detect much woods or leather.but there's a warm musk balancing it's cold opening.this is not trying hard to be a niche-like celebrity fragrance(though it's packaging suggests so).it's a calm scent.comforting, simple and non pretentious.clean in a very good way.when first sprayed I told my friend it's not as bad as I thought.after it dried down I said I want a bottle!
I.sprayed it five hours ago and I can still smell this comforting, clean skinscent on my hand.I will probably buy a bottle and share it with my husband whenever I see one.it's not my usual type.not a love.but a strong like and a good everyday spring and summer scent

Ginnal

Plain Jane. It reminds me of an old uncle hair cream like the Yardley English Lavender Brilliantine. A safe office wear.

A touch pf musk will up the scent. I layer it with Yardley royal diamond. They complement each other well.

Will wear this to a date with the guy I do not intend further than friend.

RobKY

Longevity is not a problem for me at all. 2-3 sprays were detected 4 hrs after spraying at lunch when 2 female coworkers hovered over my neck and could not stop sniffing. I think they liked it ☺

Albertos

Aloha! Outside the window, the return of a mighty winter, but on my golden tray I give hot Earl-Gray tea with lemon, I also recommend gin & tonic or lemon water and most ... hmmm? .. .. Today GaGa has moved me to a warm island ! Blue sky, calm ocean, and a sandy beach full of citrus trees ... lemon, bergamot have anti-depressant effects, refreshing, laughing and adding life energy. A journey that lasts up to 7 hours, wonderfully! This whole cocktail called Lady Gaga-Eau Da Gaga 001 which Lady Gaga offered for us smells more expensive than it costs, great for every season, a beautiful and successful bottle, I like it! I am on YES! The association is with the beautiful Azure Lime - Tom Ford. Nothing! just help yourself ... and forget about winter. Regards! Albert

These reviewers are all the same person - same writing style, same LOOOOONG personal reveries about the fragrance - same tendency to say "Thank you" to the perfume house and to eBay.

Once I spot one of the names on a fragrance review page, I know there's a very high probability of there being at least one other review under (at least) one other pseudonym.

On Eau de Gaga, I spotted "brian.fitzgerald's" review first, so scrolled down further. Sure enough, "shauna.parra" has also reviewed it... And, a little further down the list - TA DAAA! There's a review from "Gigi The Fashionista"!

If one of the personas gives a favourable review, so do the others (at least on all the perfume review pages I have spotted so far) - and this time, Gigi and shauna both say Eau de Gaga is "a big improvement on Fame".

Please try the latest game: "Spot the Fake Reviewer" for yourself!

It's fun for the whole Fragrance Community!

Wow. This was one of my recent blind buys and it totally paid off. I love it. So simple, yet beautiful. I love the citrusy, musky drydown on my skin!

jessrogue

You're on a business trip for your companies annual convention. You arrive at night to a Hilton, and all you want is a nice nightcap after your flight.

You hit the hotels lounge which smells like a normal ubiquitous convention hotel of woodsy fresh yankee-candle-esque piped in fragrance. You sit down in the leather booth and are served a nice freshly made mojito.

This frag is basically a nice mojito surrounded by convention hotel ambiance fabreze.
It's a very well blended scent, however, I do disagree with a lot of others about how this is unisex or por homme.

Going by the descriptions other put you might think this is the manliest manly perfume that ever manned, but really.. this is about as manly as Burberry Brit.

If your wheelhouse is more of the tweener sugary happy syrup land of Flowerbomb or JC then yes.. this might be a little too avante guard for you. But tbh Rhianna's Rogue is WAYYYYYYY more bro-fest than this could ever hope to be.

Gaga's leather is more subtle and warm like leather seat where as Rogue is in your face saddle like leather and musk.

lenkakampmillerova

THIS IS RICH BLACK TEA WITH LEMON and also flowery kind of note.

Annemarie

I get quite a lot of musk in Eau de Gaga and I was initially worried that it would take a turn towards the laundry. But no, the musk serves to unify the notes and gives the perfume a polished, skin-alike quality which is very appealing.

To me it's meaningless to say that Eau de Gaga is a great fragrance 'for the price'; or that it is great 'for a celebrity fragrance'. I don't even care whether it leans masculine or feminine or whatever.

This is just a great fragrance, period.

guynspfld

It never fails to impress and get compliments. People look at me like I am nuts when I tell them what it is. Such a great scent.

zirzilla

I adore this perfume. Love the packaging and the scent, doesn't look and smell like every other celebrity perfume. Very citrusy, cold scent. Definitely unisex, I can imagine a women with a pixie cut and a leather jacket wearing it. I have never ran out so fast of a perfume. My 50ml bottle was gone in like a month, but it's probably because the longevity and sillage is sooo poor... will repurchase it anyway because the price is so low

savageinstrangeland

Masculine? Shaving cream? Whaaaaat? lol I'm telling you, my nose works so different from most people on here. And that's not a put down, simply testament to how varied our impressions of fragrances actually are. I find myself chronically rooting for the "underdog" perfumes that get labeled as something I just don't perceive. Eau de Gaga is one of those. I don't get masculine at all. I get a simple, pleasant fresh vibe. The first spray almost reminds me of one of the old 90's Gap fragrances like Heaven or Dream or something. Ya know, with the citrus opening, fresh greens, and florals.

As it starts to dry down the leather contrasts against the tea leaves and the perfume does some significant "growing up." This is tea done right. Worlds better than the countless Elizabeth Arden Tea frags in the same price range. Citrus, tea, & violets tucked into a Italian leather pouch.... mmmmm. It's soft but by no means un- noticeable. It's easily detectable without having to stick your arm up to your face. I really like it as someone who used to like the 90's androgynous "freshies" like CK BE & ONE, the aforementioned Gap scents, etc. Eau de Gaga gives a matured nod to those fragrances. But masculine? No. Just a nice smell that could work for anything or anyone. It doesn't really lean one way or another.

I think I paid like 8 bucks for a 2.5 oz out of sheer curiosity and boredom. It was a good blind buy. I usually relegate poor choice blind buys to my daughter as my bottle count is getting high I try to only keep strong likes or loves, but I'm keeping this one. That tells you this fragrance has some personality. It's winter now and I like this but I could see how it will really shine in warmer weather too.

Erinbath22

After an initial very juicy lime squeeze, this settles into a cozy warm tea scent with a sprig of mint. Makes me feel kinda zen. It's calming, soft, and warm, yet fresh with the lime. I noticed that I really like lime in fragrances, and this one is so realistic to me. Then a friend with a leather handbag joins you for tea, and the cozy zen thing continues on for hours. Soft, unisex.... I felt comfy in it. I don't think the lime dictates summer wear; with the warm tea thing going on you can wear this anytime.
I am tickled that I got this elegant scent and bottle for so little, and it just feels so classy, soft, and lovely. To me, this fragrance evokes a thoughtful calm mood.

ROLDAN

This parfum is all about... You sitting comfortably dressed in your favorite leather jacket, looking perfectly shaved and freshly clean, smell with uplifting shave-foam's and after-shave's mix aroma, drinking your morning tea with slice of lime. Violets are blooming on your window. Its a good start of the day.

socorrosouza

On my skin this is a very cheap perfume that smells even cheaper, an adstringent lemony smell only found in the worst cleaning products.Thank God it lasts only 30 minutes.

rickyfreaky13

You will never find any celebrity perfume like this. This is a very cheap perfume with a very expensive scent. If you can't buy Tom Ford, you can try this, they have same taste.

kittymeow84

For how stupendously cheap you can get this, it is surprisingly good. Fantastic bitter cool citrus opening soon changes to sweeter citrus and the violet comes out. The lime kind of gets stronger and warmer - more like the skin and not the juice.

Has a mild spicy zing to it? Maybe mint?

Drydown becomes more woody and leathery with that soft violet over the top. Though not powdery or overly sweet. This is definitely unisex.

Average projection and I think it lasts at least 6 hours

Since Chemist Warehouse is selling this for a whopping $15 for 75ml I am buying myself a bottle - What a great little scent for summer.

_christine_

This is a pure shaving cream scent. It's a classic barbershop scent in a vintage style, very close to Barbisol shaving foam. It also lasts forever - which can be a problem because it's linear and unchanging. I like it, but it overstays its welcome a bit. It's lime and violet all the way until your next shower.

Also of note, the bottle is gorgeous.

final judgments: great gift to anyone, great scent to have, great blind buy, cheap and surprisingly delicious

Johnnyhelvete

I'm not getting anything any one mentions. All I'm getting is a cheap and nasty cheap smell.

And to the 29 people who think it smells like tom fords azure lime, man oh man, I'm certainly not getting that.

I get a blast of lime at the start, sure, albeit the most synthetic lime ive ever smelt.

It dries town to the exact smell of a used liptons teabag. And that's all I get.
No leather. No nothing.

I shouldn't be so harsh, considering the price point, and that it's a celebrity frangrance, but it's not great. If you want a cheap celebrity fragrance with a bit of style, I'd go SJP STASH over this anytime. I'm sorry, gah gah!

carolinaesp

This has masculine DNA, even if it's marketed as unisex. Not every woman could pull this off (I know I can't! I'm too girly lol). As for the scent, it's pleasant. I smell mostly woody and leather notes, with a strong citrus opening. I blind bought this, but had to give it to my father, he loved it. Oh, and I have to mention the gorgeous bottle, it looks expensive!

soft_spicy

The best scent for my tomboy days. :-)
Definitely unisex, leaning toward the masculin side.

My conservative female co-workers don't expect me to wear such a BOLD scent.
Haha.

The scent is nice. When I wear it, I feel immediately restored.

igalmusic

Absolutely amazing fragrance! The best celebrity perfume ever!It is a modern, classy and sexy fragrance.I love the bottle as well.Citrusy notes are dominant but also leather gives this sexy feel, I love it!The only downside its lasting power...it last only 2 hours on skin but much longer on clothes :)

jmc4000

I love this. Very fresh lime, a lovely soft violet and elegant tea note. I don't get the ending leather, but I think it's classy and chic and cheap as chips. What's not to love.

trevorrobertlee

I think you can get away with this all year round. I personally don't like it and haven't really worn it since I first purchased it. Love Gaga, but I can do without this one. Such an offensive lime note.

Bigsly

I agree with the person who said this is reminiscent of one of those Cruise Collection scents by Dior, but this may be a bit better for me (I had Portofino and sometimes it comes across as "chemical"). I did both a dab sampling and a regular one (two sprays to the chest, since people tend to rate it as weak), but I didn't get the strong lime others mention. I get a tea-like violet (not a harsh green violet leaf, but not a powdery soft violet either) and then the leathery quality emerges and largely balances out with it. It's not sweet nor animalic. So far, so good, the only potential problem being weakness, which might be remedied by spraying more (I got a 75 ml bottle for a song so I certainly don't mind a heavier application, if necessary). I'll update if there's anything more to say.

AMBRA GRI

Definitely a more masculine than feminine one. It's almost a non-perfume perfume.I wouldn't even call it unisex but androgynous- without a gender:). I just feel some citrus and the dry down remains still very citrusy and with a violet. A very, very, shy one, you need to sniff it deeply to feel that violet. I would looove to feel some roses here but no. Otherwise, it's a long-lasting, almost cologne like citrus.

Contessa01

This one is citrusy and undoubtedly unisex if actually leaning more toward masculine. I think it's being discontinued though I could be wrong. I will try it more as it's only a recent purchase for me and I want to see how it goes over a day. Definitely more masculine than feminine.

babbytwerk

I regret buying this in the winter, but it is a very nice scent. From first sniff it's VERY citrusy, extremely strong lime, then it fades into a light floral and whats left behind is a fresh light leathery smell. I'd say it's a masculine scent, it could pass as a men's cologne, but if you like powerful fresh scents you could wear this. Very summer/spring

HighCountryEsq

I liked Eau De Gaga from first sniff, but now that the weather has warmed up since my purchase I'm really enjoying it much more. Great Spring and Summer fragrance.

socorrosouza

I wanted so much to love it (it is pretty cheap, has the lemon note I love) but it just wasn't a scrubber on my skin because it lasted for 5 minutes at most (with a detergent smell).

IkuraGirl

After I apply it, I spend the first few minutes trying to decide if all I smell is cologne; a sweet cologne, but cologne nevertheless.

The lime note is prominent, and for my taste, too much so. However, the sweetness begins to peak through about 10 minutes afterwards, and then, so do the leather notes. The sweetness is definitely floral, but I don't know that I am able to pick out violet. Something sweet, yes. Floral, yes. White violet? Not sure.

I smell my wrist repeatedly; the leather note draws me in and also repulses me, a tense olfactory battle between attraction and revulsion ensues for the full 8 hours this fragrance lasts on my skin (which includes surviving an indulgent, steamy shower). Memories of an inside of a barn float to mind: it's hard for me to feel sexy wearing this scent alone. I consider layering it with ylang-ylang, or something vanilla-based. Maybe not.

I find this fragrance provocative but not necessarily sexy. It's a confusing scent for me. Maybe that's the point.

FeelingRisky

Powdery Green Tea with Lime. Nothing else. Very Synthetic smelling. No evolution.

JanneMan45

Tried this today for the first time:

Very citrusy and harsh to me.

I have it on for almost 13 hours now, still going strong

I get no woods and no leather, pity, still the lime...

Not my thing for now, have to try again.

Nice bottle though...and cheap

Edit: 14-06-2017
Tried it for the second time now in some warmer weather (25 C)
The citrusses are now not so loud and harsh, it is more pleasant now.
I smell now some faint leather in the background.
More a warm weather scent...

Estela B

I was very curious about this one after reading the coments here. Well... quite masculine, opens with citrus but the drydown is wood and , yes, tea. Altogether it reminds of after shave, a nice one though. I will not buy it but I think it has a good quality regarding it's style, longevity seems good.

nimrod_james

it's fresh, flowery, animalic (thanks for the leather note) and herby. i think it's unusual, elegant and "dirty" at the same time. firstly too citrusy, but 20-30 minutes and u smell earl grey tea, herbs and a big dose of white violet and patchouli. i read that it contains nearly 30 natural ingredients which is extremely rare in today's fragrances. Totally gender-free! I LOVE IT!

orangepekoe

I like it. Smells like herbs and forest. The violet is what makes it strong. A bit lemony but I guess that is from the lime.

Bomber81

Wow! Just picked this up at Shoppers for 20$.. please don't judge this juice on what it smells like sprayed into its box/on paper!!!! It is nothing like that!
I had read reviews a while back so I remembered that I was interested in this, but couldn't remember anything about what I had read.
The lady actually was awesome and opened the box without me even having to ask - she said it helps them sell when people can smell them. AMEN! PLEASE IF YOU WORK AT A SHOPPERS, LISTEN UP LOL
I bought a perfume without a lid and the box was all beat up because it was the last of its kind. We will buy what we can smell!!!!
Back to Gaga...
She opened the only box sitting there, so I could smell it.
My first thought was standing at the bar waiting to order your drink. That smell coming off the bar... spilled drinks - beer, mixed drinks, and hard liquor.. spilled and sticky on the bar top.
But I kept smelling it and realised right away, I didn't hate it.. it was intriguing. A little trashy lol but in a fun way..
I bought it lol
Well! Let me tell you how different it is on...! It's so simple. So clean. So fresh.. yet classy. Mature. Unique. Bold.
And probably so much more..
I just sprayed it 20 mins ago, but I already knew the second the spray hit my skin, THIS IS FABULOUS!
Very Gaga.
There is an excellent review of this just below mine. Have a read. Pretty accurate.
That "skanky" party animal I smelled on the paper box, has not shown its face even once.
I'm LOVING this.
Definitely one of my favourites, and I know it's early in the game to announce that lol but I mean it!
If I find another bottle I will buy again just to be sure I never run out.
30ml only takes a girl so far ;)

P.s. I agree, the bottle, shape and colour, is perfection for the juice.

P.p.s. would just like to add, if this perfume does not work on your skin, I'm sorry. Have read it's not working for everyone. I definitely recommend trying this on if you aren't for the gamble as I was. We all have such different chemistry, and I think this is particularly one that could easily go wrong on your skin.
I'm just lucky it works for me.
Mmmmm... I'm loving this!

Eau de Gaga (what a name!)

So this is a very different type of celebrity fragrance. It's a unisex vintage throwback although it lacks the complexity of something like Robert Piguet's Bandit or Royal Llyme. It has minimal notes, and is quite basic and simple. At the top is a note of lime, the heart is of violet and the base consists of leather and woods. For me this is a well composed and very distinctive fragrance when compared to what's out there for both men and women amongst the celebrity lines. The packaging and design is similar to a Kilian fragrance. Very classy and luxurious looking and luxurious scent despite the cheap price. I rarely wear celeb fragrances but now and then one catches my nose. This one caught me. As all the reviews attest this is Gaga's best. She must have known this because she has not been able to top it nor produced another fragrance. This is her 2nd and last.

The first spritz is a blast of green lime, citrus, fresh and sharp. It's a lime note with green notes attached and with a noticeable sage bush aroma. The lime is in the vein of a vintage aftershave. It never stays fruity and it is hardly a floral despite the emerging violet note. The violet only gives it a touch, just a touch, of powder. The dry down is a beautiful woodsy base with suede, leather and musk. This dry down is more masculine and perhaps too masculine for young girls who would prefer to wear the other cheap celebrity sweet gourmand fluff. The girl that wears this has class, taste and sophistication. She doesn't mind smelling of unisex fragrances or man's colognes. Mysterious confident and alluring. This fragrance is sexy and captivating. A good date night fragrance to provide a touch of mystery. Seductive and aromatic. Bold and beautiful.

The leather is like the scent of a leather couch or leather belt. The musk is warm and the lime gives it almost a boozy aroma like a citrus based alcohol. The woods are noticeable as well. I am not sure but there could be more going on. Sometimes I smell more green notes like sage or vetiver and animalic notes but they never ever turn too dirty skanky or ugly. This is a beautiful cologne. I can definitely see Gaga wearing this. This has a good performance and lasts a long time, longer than most celebrity fragrances and the projection is superb. This gets a lot of compliments. The price is very affordable so if you like great smelling cheapies try this on for size. Recommended for evening wear and formal wear (tuxedos or black clothing) autumn and winter time. Black is the right color for it.

Thanks Stephanie Germanotta

HighCountryEsq

WOW!! I blind bought this because I liked the bottle, I was intrigued by the reviews and it was only $10. This is a wonderful fragrance that really surprised me and I'm glad I picked it up. I believe it is far more complex than the listed notes and I think it will take a few wearings to sort them out from my nose's perspective. Even though this appears to be mostly a spring/summer scent I pick up some tobacco and other notes that make be think this would work great in the fall as well.

TonyAKAMrClean

The woody notes have a bit of a smoky bamboo or cucumber & ebony vibe. It starts out with a strong deep lime, then it morphs into a deep woody, leathery scent with smoky, slightly citrusy bergamot. All together, this is very nice! I find it a bit different from Tom Ford's Azure Lime, but this scent is more than worth its price!!!

Well done, Lady Gaga.

Today I wore this after wearing Dior Homme Cologne, and WOW! What an awesome contrast! If you have both, try layering them! The end result is pretty fantastic!!!

Bartolo Cologne

First of all, Eau de Gaga is not a linear perfume. It's a shapeshifter. On first spray, I was not found of the burst of citrus. Meanwhile the white violet is hiding behind a citrus tree and it can't seem to make its presence known. When the middle notes appear, a watery green tea starts to slowly simmer. This is my favorite part of EDG. But unfortunately when the green tea starts to sink, the sharp citrus reemerges with a discount purse leather. I should have known that the leather note would show up on me. For others it didn't. I was hoping the leather would be more submissive and the lime less dominant. But in this case, it wasn't. I appreciate more muskier dry downs but Eau de Gaga's dry down is too shrill and too leathery. A cheap blind buy that just did not work out for me. YMMV

shishi

I liked the bottle, so i tried it from the tester, and found it to be quite strong and lasting over the course of the next 8 hours... It had a very evocative effect on me and brought to mind a vignette of a socialite whose been out at a party mingling and embracing with friends who were wearing various other perfumes and colognes, smoking on the balcony in the cool night air, and has just arrived home to relax on the leather sofa with this scent in her hair and clothes, a bemused, relaxed expression on her face. The notes are mingled but not un-fresh.
It surprised me to find a scent like this at a drugstore in a celebrity fragrance. It is a bit unusual (to me anyways) and i agree it is unisex for sure. I liked it but probably won't buy it now, due to other favourites at the moment.

Black_Swan

Funny - I originally looked at a review of this on a blogger site I read often just because I was curious about how bad it was, and it was actually given a favorable review, which really surprised me for a celebrity fragrance, and just goes to show you can't judge a book by it's cover, especially in perfume. The review sounded interesting, and it just so happened a few days later I saw it at TJ Maxx for $10 so I figured what the hell, it's a pretty bottle anyway. So I bought it and was shocked to find it was actually quite nice. It is a burst of lime in the top notes, changing to floral and then to the leather base. What I don't like is that the transitions are very choppy, if that makes sense, like three different blankets on top of each other rather than a quilt with three sewn together layers. It's three separated parts rather than three parts making up a whole - the transitions are not seamless, so it's a little strange. Just my $.02

It smells more expensive than it is, and a great budget friendly, tasteful option, and it does last all day. I'll use it occasionally and then pass it on to my teenage daughter at some point to give her a start into the perfume world that doesn't include sugar candy scents.

eleanor.lepage

This was my first celebrity fragrance & I like Gaga & I wanted to love it! Blind buy. The few simple notes seemed interesting as most perfumes have so many notes. I read the Fragrantica reviews & hoped for the best. Unfortunately it doesn't work on me & I've been using it for days in the heat, in the aircon, day & night. On me it smells like Aeroguard (insect repellent) & retains that smell for hours. So disappointed. I tried it on my husband's wrist & it was ok. Will be giving it to my 20 year old son to see what he thinks.
And it smells perfect on him which makes me very happy. That's what fragrances are all about - such a fascinating journey

terrance*michigan

It's different to the other celeb scents. It's a very sharp citrus scent, with masculine woods/leather and a hint of feminine soft florals. Decent silage and I've had a single spray on my wrist for 7 hours and it's still going strong. I'd call it a unisex fragrance. I'll buy a bottle if I find it on sale, but I'd use it slowly since I'm not sure what occasions I'd wear it for... maybe it could be a power-woman's business meeting scent? :)

Edit: Bought it! Happy with the purchase :) Found it super cheap at Chemist Warehouse

everil.f

The Lime notes lasted for about 10 seconds and turned into florals almost immediately. There was no hint of leather anywhere. Perhaps I got a bad bottle but I was looking forward to the lime and leather everyone was talking about and was left disappointed.

dilqna

A blind buy ,i was sure that i am not gonna like this perfume because i am not a huge fan of citrus perfumes and especially a lime ,but i find it so cheap ,that i didnt care too much . Anyway when i spray on myself i was so surprised ,its very nice fragrance i think that Lady Gaga did a very good job in both her perfumes .That one its definitely a unisex perfume very heavy ,in my opinion its better for a crazy night out .I dont smell any violets ,the peefume is very nice in the begining after that smell on my skin like lime with sugar ,very sweet lime which i dont like awfull ,but first 2 hours smell amazing !! I like also the bottle its classy !! LIKE LIKE LIKE

I have actually never used this perfume. But I'm considering blind buying it from a good source online. Based on the drastically different reviews I'm wondering if maybe some of you bought a crap version from a grey market website? A lot of these fragrance 'warehouse' style stores online are nothing but a scam. Occasionally you get a real bottle if you're lucky bit often you get duped. Literally. They send you some diluted perfume or something completely different all together. While I understand that everyone's chemistry is different and that it won't smell the same on everyone, some people say it has 0 longevity and 0 spillage while others are saying the opposite? I suspect anyone who got it for 8 bucks and says it smells like pipe cleaner probably never got their hands on the true scent. For the cost I'm seeing I think I'll try this anyways... Seems like the good reviews are pretty consistent with one another. :) Thanks everyone for taking your time to write reviews for those of us who couldn't get out there to smell it!

paulo0e

I do enjoy some harsh, "in the face" citric notes, as in Mugler's Cologne Summer Flash. If it's meant to be citric, I want it to really be it. It's like drinking teas: I don't like them soft. I appreciate fully vivid colors and special aromas.

When I saw that piramid, I fell in love with it, dreaming of the wonders of mixing citric and flower notes - which I also happen to love - on leather.
Well, wore it, hoping it would be some sort of Gaga-ish surprising blast of something, but... Don't get me wrong, I like it more every time I wear it, but I expected more. More lime and more leather? I'd like the lime to be a citric punch and fight the flower, build a drama scene, make an odd statement, something beyond the common harmony. I don't know many fragrances, but still I can feel it's something I've already known in my 34 years of life. Well, Gaga is pop, for sure.

It's elegant, simple and self-assured, which is really positive. It makes me feel happy and comfy, for it has some of the colors I'm always looking for in my life, but still not that special. Unoffensive. I could describe it a vanishing avant-garde, if that makes any sense, indeed being suitable for men and women; a few women I know like it on me and appreciate the notes a lot, and they've told me its aroma is kinda unique.

In the hot weather I live in, four sprays are fine, in order to avoid being intrusive to the others noses, with a desirable moderate sillage for some time and around 5-6 hours of longevity, rapidly becoming a skin scent. Reapplying it during the day can be useful.

I'd buy it again, for sure, but still expecting some more magic from this boring material world.

4 out of 5.

susieqrj

socorrosouza, I´m sorry to inform you, but you´re the only one in Brazil that smells "pipe cleaner" on this fragrance. You had a bad experience. But that was just you.
This fragrance is not my favorite but its far from being hated. Problem is that here in Brazil women tend to perceive sugary notes as female smells and if a fragrance is not syrup in a bottle, its called "male" or it´s bad.

barentonwithaba

Update!

My first sniff was a definite dislike! For some reason I decided to try it again and I'm glad I did. A nice citrus/powdery floral blend. I can see it being unisex but the violet makes it more feminine. It's worth trying at the cheap prices it can be found at now.

Akarui_hana

@socorrosouza Your comment made me laugh so hard. You must have some fancy cleaning pipes where you live!! I never thought somebody could find this perfume dirty. Oh well, each to his own :))

LIN

OMG!! I just love it! I can't even believe that is celebrity scent. It's totally different then the first launched GAGA which is sweet and smells like every other celebrity perfume. This one is a fresh violet - lime combination, non celebrity, a bit masculine, woody with a hint of niche fragrances leather. Sooo good, so appropriate for a business meeting, a night out or even a date. I fell in love with this beauty, can't even believe i blindly bought it for only 8$. Best celebrity fragrance ever, and it does resembles TF Azure Lime.

evekhing

I love it. I wanted something simple and fresh for summer and this is it. Love the bottle, love the perfume. Very close to skin and I can still smell it on my skin even after long day and shower. This is the best unisex perfume I had. Every time I wear this, it make me want to drink mojito for some reason.

Edited. I have been using this since I last review. If I have to pick my favorite, I won’t be able choose between this, be delicious, cristalle eau vert and Nu.

socorrosouza

On my skin this is awful, a lime note (which I generally love) like cleaning products (although very soft) and nothing else for 2 hours with soft projection (which was a blessing in disguise). Can understand why it is so discounted, even in Brazil. Can't feel either the violets or the suede.

Marty88

I'm going to be honest. I love FAME. however this perfume, even though a pleasant smell I can't help feeling this is a run of the mill celebrity fragrance that she just signed her name off on. It did not have the dedication and heart that FAME did. Simply nothing special. Just a money grab from coty. Also the bottle even though a different colour is an exact replica of a Victoria Beckham perfume bottle. I need a sent that has been made with love and passion. I did not find that with this.

shauna.parra

This is a really big improvement on Fame

Fame was sticky, apricot and berry mess, this is more elegant and more expensive and vintage in it's aura. This can also wear like an old time barbershop men's aftershave or astringent but it has a sweet violet heart that can turn just the slightest bit powdery but enough for me to enjoy it. I can't understand why Gaga or whomever was behind this fragrance didn't give it some more complexity. It's just a simple very smooth transition from lime to musk.

While it doesn't make a statement, it impresses with it's simplicity. It reminds me of a leather couch (the leather note) and a couple wearing black making love on that leather couch and a coffee table is right in front of that couch and it contains wooden ornaments and violet flowers. This is a domestic, comforting fragrance for the Mr. and the Mrs. This is not mind blowing but it's almost Zen. It's quiet, unassuming and graceful. It's a peaceful fragrance of less volume than the screechy and aggressive belladonna and nectar that was Fame. Fame is also very cheap in it's composition. This at least has a classical structure of top, middle and base notes. At the same time it's not too elaborate and it is very easy to wear.

This makes a fine intro to unisex fragrances, and woods/leather scents for women who aren't used to wearing those type of scents that can easily be dismissed as "men's colognes". This is a fragrance for a mature gal who loves her woods and leather. It's nocturnal and formal, matches up with black clothing but not Goth, more like tuxedos and black cocktail dresses, or little black dresses. She is not flirty nor sexy but she is confident and sure of herself.

To me the best place to wear this baby is at a dance club. This is more of the pheromone or "slut" scent that Gaga spoke of when she launched Fame which is not sexy at all. This is far more attractive and sure to get guys to follow you with the mysterious allure of the unisex cologne you have on or he'll smell it on the dance floor next to you and want you.

Beautiful.

Pure Love

It's quite nice, but not nearly as beautiful as Fame.

I LOVE the bottle, and the box though! I would love Fame to be in this bottle!!!!!
It's a fabulous bottle. So well crafted; so solid; such a perfect shape, and COLOUR -- SOOO BLACK!!!!! I LOVE black; and it looks so stunning with the gorgeous silver plaque! It's one of the best bottles I've ever seen, or held, and it's fantastic to use - the nozzle works really well. The lid too!!! IT is an absolute masterpiece! Divine!

ell_bee

Picked 1oz of this up at Marshall's for 6 bucks, because why not, and I am very pleasantly surprised with my blind buy. Very moody and androgynous, starts off with sharp lime, morphs into a somewhat heady, citrusy, woody violet. Lasting power is impressive for the price I paid and compared to Gaga's previous, much more over-hyped fragrance. It definitely matches my mood currently as I wear it -- all black, a bit withdrawn, kind of over the typical sweet-chouli craze (for today anyway). Lots of "I may or may not be wearing my boyfriend's fashion house cologne and totally pulling it off" vibes... Packaging is very Killian-esque, simple and chic. I'm impressed with this one.

Eats Paste

So...I thought 'Fame', the predecessor to this, was pretty good overall; definitely a step up from the giant buffalo herd of celebrity frags all trying to be a Viva La Juicy flanker.
( and I think VLJ is fine, I just agree with those of you opining that we don't need 3,842 of them.)
This one is not like Fame but is still very good. The bottle, as you can see, is much simpler and reminds one of a Chanel or Tom Ford bottle. And the juice inside has a very Chanel No 19 or Tom Ford-ish vibe. NO, I don't mean it smells like any specific one of the TFs, I mean only what I said. They give a similar vibe ( I have three Tom Fords: Black Orchid, Neroli Portofino & Tobacco Vanille.).
First spray is LIME! It's a fresh lime, not sugary, like cutting a lime up at your bar. Two minutes later it's not fresh lime, it's like lime peels, oily peel shavings used to zest stuff. On me, shortly after it goes to smoky wood and leather. Not smoky wood like campfire, smoky wood like an ancient bar top, at a venerable old cigar bar. The leather is also not new leather; 'new' leather smells can be VERY sharp and bordering on unpleasant. This is like the well-worn, broke-in leather the chairs in the cigar bar are made from.

I never get more than a little of the supposed violet, though it could almost be any flower, because it's actually almost herbal, like they didn't just use the petals but the stems, the leaves, everything.
I get tea often, though I believe tea is not an official note. It's a pleasant tea, again not sugary, but like a British hot cuppa. Last time I tested, I sprayed once on the back of the left hand, pressed the back of the right hand onto it, and when the tea came out, it ONLY came out on the right hand. Ha!
Later the lime shoves it's way to the front again for awhile, but eventually it's just old leather and woods, which I personally am always jazzed by.
I do not seek to always smell 'girly' and I'm confident enough in myself to not care if a man thinks girls should always smell girly. You can tell I'm not wearing dude juice, though I fully believe a man could wear this and women would not think he was wearing a woman's frag.
Lasting power is good and projection can be whatever you want it to be. One timid spray on me is a 2-3 hour experience but you'd have to be right next to me after hour two, which I don't mind. I don't need people in the bread aisle to smell me from the produce section, you know? I can smell it without having to shove my nose into my hand and that's more my bag. If I WANTED to level the store, I'd use 6-7 sprays but I'd probably be the first one to hurl. Go easy.
All in all, I'm telling you this smells expensive. It's a London cigar bar where rich men hang out in old leather chairs smoking pricey stogies and drinking gin and tonic with lime made at an old-ass solid wood bar that has been in there 125 years and before that it was at a place that had been there since the accession of Queen Victoria. This is how I'd imagine Aston-Martins to smell inside.
If that description appeals to you, then just get a small bottle. It's incredibly few and far between in stores, but online is very inexpensive. This, sadly, did not do well, but I thoroughly believe that's not because of the quality, it's because most people who buy celebrity frags are not looking to smell like Sean Connery, they're looking to smell like Lauren Conrad or Paris Hilton, and the people who ARE looking to smell like Aston-Martins aren't looking for it in the celeb aisle, they're shopping at Tom Ford or Hermes.

Again, you CAN tell this is not top shelf. Please understand. I think she did a fab job with the lower budget you would have for a celeb frag, since you won't have access to the same grade of ingredients (yes I understand they hire a nose, but that's the whole reason you shouldn't snob out at celeb frags; the same noses design the posh stuff too) and honestly, being able to say well, if this were a Tom Ford, it'd be the dankest one, but it wouldn't be WILDLY out of place, that's still saying something. It wouldn't be as though you were trying to pass Can-Can off as the new ELDO. I'll be the hooptiest Maybach on the Maybach lot, sure; I take it as a compliment.
Give it a try.

Betsywoolbright

I'll have to test more fully, but I really could only smell synthetic lime and cheap iso e super-type, synthetic, headache-inducing wood notes.
I didn't detect any violet or leather.
It was a generic masculine scent to me. I will try it again sometime when I'm not coming down with a cold, but after about a half hour of cranial discomfort, I had to scrub it. Unfortunate, because (except for the terribly short longevity) I love Fame. I was disappointed that Ms. Gaga couldn't have followed up her fragrance debut with something amazing.

pulcman.petra

Nice summer scent if you are in mood for something different than regular summer fresh fruity ones. Quite sexy because of leather and lemon combination.

I've read a few comments comparing this to Azure Lime, and found this at a local pharmacy tonight, so I tried it out. Can't even make the slightest comparison to Azure. It wasn't bad at all. A nice green tea scent with musk and a little bit of lime at the top.

I usually don't like citrus or "fresh" scents but this will have to be an exception the zesty lime, soft violet and warm leather really blend flawlessly to create a very unique scent experience . As other reviewers mentioned, there is a strong Green tea vibe. I will be adding this to my list of "fresh scents" I can actually wear.

Every so often on the message boards, the question of the best celebrity fragrance pops up and Eau de Gaga is always my answer. This fragrance smells and looks like a niche or prestige offering - a definite win for Lady Gaga.

Though it's not listed in the notes, I consider this a tea scent, of the same genre as Bvlgari Thé Vert, Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea, or Thé Vert from L'Occitane, but in my opinion, Eau de Gaga tops them all! The fragrance starts out with a prominent citrus note - a true, refreshing spritz of lime that dissipates after the first 10 minutes or so. Lime gives way to a shy violet that overlays a polite leather/suede note, adding a nice complexity to the tea scent while still remaining light and refreshing.

I've had issues with tea scents turning sour on my skin in the past (I'm looking at you, Bvlgari Thé Vert) but Eau de Gaga stays true as it develops throughout the wear. Sillage and persistence aren't incredibly high, but better than many/most eaux. A great scent for summer - I've already got a back-up!

(As an aside, I don't often comment on bottles but this one is surprisingly well-crafted, especially for a celebrity fragrance. The 30ml bottle is really cute, but I prefer the proportions of the 50ml)

Fantastic fragrance , if you would ignore the "celebrity tag" and focus on the scent - I think this is a very pleasant scent - refreshing, light, and delicate.

in my opinion she was trying to copy Coco noir with the citrus scent and the bottle design

If you're up for a cheap thrill, this is it. A zesty / sparkling and aromatic lime opening joined by a kind of watery accord that smells more leafy-violety than actually watery. Everything sharpened by a woody-leather bone-structure. Totally synth and surely not groundbreaking but considering you can find 30ml bottles for 7 euros in discount stores here and there around the globe, you might want to give this a chance as it's actually pretty enjoyable in a hypothetical Azuree Lime ---> woody citrus axis. Completely genderless.

Nice presentation a-la Kilian (ah, the irony). Cheap is good sometime.

Bought it, luckily it was a small bottle, really don't like it. But if you were Goth you will love it. edit: great Halloween fragrance

Too much lime for my taste. Definitely for citrus lovers. Otherwise not that bad, luckily I got a half empty tester so I'm done with the bottle now, but I won't be getting another one anytime soon.

I spotted this at TJ Maxx for $4.50, so I grabbed it. I've only read reviews on this, but never tried it first. It seems this is a "like it or hate it" type of scent, based on what I've read.

In the bottle, it does smell more like a man's cologne. A very nice one, actually. After a spray on my husband and one on myself, I wanted to see which one worked better. Actually, they both smell very different on us. On him, the leather and woods are more pronounced. On me, the lime was the first thing you smell, but only for a short time. After, some of that leather and a touch of the woods were there. About 30 minutes later though, a beautiful violet / floral scent came through. The other elements seem to be there, but just to add complexity to it. The violet is the main scent I pick up.

I found that this lasted a decent amount of time. I still kept getting whiffs of it at around 4 hours or so. The scent range is not massive though. I found that it sits fairly close to the skin. You'd have to be up close to someone in order to smell it, imo.

I like the look of the bottle; simplistic and sleek. Very nice. Over all, for a little over 4 bucks, I'd say this was was a nice score!

Thank you for all of the recommendations to satisfy my craving for a "soft leather." This one intrigued me and I am not at all disappointed! So, here is my visual for this scent. When I first spray: Hot guy in black leather jacket, wearing cologne and chewing mint gum. (He's come to pick me up for a date. :) Mid-stage: light citrus mint (if there were more lime, it would make a great "mojito" accord! Finally, there is my soft leather...which was really subtly present all along. I love this because I love mint & leather and the bottle is a beauty. Now I have two favorite "celebrity" scents.
