La Nuit Trésor by Lancôme is a Amber Vanilla fragrance for women. La Nuit Trésor was launched in 2015. La Nuit Trésor was created by Christophe Raynaud and Amandine Clerc-Marie. Top notes are Pear, Tangerine and Bergamot; middle notes are Strawberry, Vanilla Orchid, Black Rose and Passionfruit; base notes are Praline, Caramel, Litchi, Vanilla, Patchouli, Incense, Coffee, Licorice, Coumarin and Papyrus.

Lancome launches La Nuit Tresor fragrance in February 2015. The scent is a flanker of the original Tresor from 1990.

The composition is announced as a gourmand aphrodisiac and a love potion created by perfumers Christophe Raynaud and Amandine Marie. It supposedly depicts the dark side of rose and mixes notes of black rose with Tahitian vanilla orchid absolute. There are also accords of natural incense, papyrus, patchouli and litchi praline added to the mix.

The faces of the campaign are Penélope Cruz and Ilay Kurelović and photo signed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Video campaign directed by Rob Marshall.

The bottle is decorated with a diamond-shaped satin black rose and bow. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

At first i couldn't get what it reminded me of, but then..smells like shisha. I had 50ml once, didn't purchase it again. I think there are better sweet "mysterious" fragrances out there.

mirage93

This scent is simply beautiful. It's heavenly!

astlyx

It's beautiful! i used Trésor for like 1 year. but it's VERY sweet. It's pure praline and caramel. At the time i was really into sweet scents, so this was perfect. I had good memories using Trésor and yes it's a men magnet.

femininehorror

This scent sparked my first love for perfume.
In my teen years, I remember sitting in an outdoor cafe in the heat of the Grecian summer. I had been visiting my family there for several weeks, and had managed up until that point to cope with the difficulties of not speaking the same language as most of my family members. I chatted casually with my father under the thin awning, not really to talk but to pass the time while the others at the table caught up on years of stories.
Our waitress strolled by, wafting with her the most intoxicating scent. My conversation with my father stopped abruptly. We could only look at each other with open-mouthed amazement. She. Smelled. SO GOOD!!
Cue ten minutes of us begging the rest of our family to ask her in Greek which perfume she was wearing. This is the only time in my life I have asked a stranger their perfume. She was wearing La Nuit Tresor.
Still to this day I wear it and remember that summer afternoon.

Also this is the only perfume I've worn and gotten fun comments from acquaintances like smelling delicious, yummy, and my favorite, "Someone in this room smells EXPENSIVE!"

gzbnyz

Very very cold and mature

vanille23

my mom has this perfume and i used to sneak into her room to borrow it. this smells mysterious and sexy it's like catnip for straight men. this is for a woman whose life is NOT falling apart. im manifesting this for myself

Myhra

I like this fragrance because of the notes in it: coffee, incense, and a lot of sweet fruits... Tested it in warm weather and did love it, it has staying power on me.
In winter I don't wear this often.

Starlady

I absolutely love this as it smells like a sultry strawberry evening drink to me. Unfortunately, it does not develop well on my skin. It ends up smelling like burnt plastic on me, which is a bummer. I've noticed that a lot of Lancome perfumes have this weird plasticky undertone when they develop on my skin, and it's particularly potent with Tresor.

yara.xo

favourite of the gourmand scents, so sexy and sweet and mysterious but also applicable to wear anywhere. it’s so well blended that the sweetness is not overpowering. one of my all time faves!

Elisjah

Again too sweet for me (just like Tresor) but a lot more interesting! Pear is clearly present and so are the caramel and praline notes. I also take out strawberry. It is a sweet fruit filling with chocolate/praline around it. I'd rather eat something like that than spray it on my skin.

islandgirlmaranda

I have a bottle from 2018 and boiiiii is she sexy! May I say even say...

...sex in a bottle?

The opening is very sweet and fruity! But grown up. It's quite mouth-watering! The florals then take stage and it grabs ahold of the praline and caramel & brings that along! Magic is happening! This unfurls into an incredibly seductive night out on the town scent. The coffee and incense are what I mostly get on the dry down, but also something a little earthy, raw, and edgy. Someone mentioned witchy vibes and yes, this, this is a sexy exotic witchcraft! It has so many layers and facets to it. Sweet. Sultry. Floral. Exotic. Edible. Raw. Earthy. What is going on here? I don't know but I am here for it.

nocchu

Guys and girls love this scent so so much, smells divine and is sweet and fruity without being childish. A little goes a long way and it's perfect for colder nights. On me the lychee note pops out the most which I absolutely love! But please do not overspray - this is the most sweet perfume I own and can get sickly if you over spray. I use literally one spray maximum (yes, I do half sprays with this sometimes) when I use it and it lasts very long. It is not really a daily scent or one you use in the morning or in hotter seasons as you may just induce headaches to everyone around you, if I'm being brutally honest.

But in winter in tiny amounts or at a club if you wanna make a statement??? Its amazing!!

CarlRayanitch

if you want a man to love you.. wear this

Bondno9girl

I have the 2015 version that has licorice in it and then the 2019 which does not. I prefer the 2015 because its lasts longer and is deeper and even sexier. The 2019 version is more bright and more fruitier. There is more noticeable coffee and licorice in 2015 version which makes it deeper. I don't think you need both even though I have them. I bought 2 bottles of 2015 on ebay. Just make sure you check the batch code before you purchase. Both my bottles are from 2015. I got a 2.5 ounce perfume on ebay and a 2.5 ounce perfume with lotion and body wash set. If you can get the set, do it. I paid around $130 for the set. Not bad for a discontinued beauty.

PeachyPraline

Just a friendly reminder, this page applies to the 2015 formula. The 2019 formula has its own page :)

nomi00

its quite sweet and heavy as well. on initial spritz, it has sort of a chocolatey dessert smell with some fruitiness. its pleasant, but i could imagine this getting a bit too rich for me. i usually go for sth with more airiness, but i wouldn't completely mind reaching for this in the wintertime despite this almost reaching towards syrupy toothache territory

Tunzz

One of the most feminine and seductive scents i've come across. It's sweet without being childish or cloying. This scent is a man magnet. This is what La vie est belle aspires to be. She's the grown, sexy, has her shit together version. A little goes a long way. Absolutely divine.

Berri_

too sweet... its nauseating. When i first got this perfume I made the mistake to wear this to university exam it made me feel so sick and nauseous I had to leave the exam venue as I felt so sick.. gives me anxiety. Defiantly a winter / night scent. too heavy for me. would not recommend.

Anhar

Smell itself is nice but it's headache inducing and makes me feel sick after a while.

Rimazy

VERY beautiful but VERY hard to wear. Extremely dense and strong. I cannot pull it out in any occasion.

Fragrance amateur27

Such a yummy, warm scent. The fragrance is quite heavy so I prefer it mostly for the winter season or night time. For summer it can smell annoyingly sweet. It’s also quite long lasting on both skin and clothes so a few sprays will go a long way. The bottle is also really cute 🥰

blindboughtjunkie

Very sweet and intoxicating deep berry scent – an absolute staple for the club and bad decisions. It smells exactly like how the bottle looks. If you've never smelled this, I'd paint a picture of a heavy dark pink cloud weighed down by the smell of berries and dripping with dark booze and syrup. It is extremely heavy so wear with caution. I've been stopped by exactly one dude who asked for the name to buy for his GF, so you could say it's a maneater fragrance.

This is so perfect if you're a girl entering prime club rat era and plan to steal everyone's heart. Sadly, a WILD Halloween night is tied to this smell for me so I stay away from it. Good times!

IVamp

Another Lancome that just disagrees with me on every level. I tried to like it because from its ingredients and style it should be exactly in my style - sweet, intoxicating, vanilla, caramel, dark. I used my whole bottle /luckily a small one/ but I couldn't bring myself to like it. It opens fine and promising but the drydown is very synthetic candystore-like. The slightest amount of heat turns it sour. Others also disliked that on me, my partner thought it was sickeningly sweet. I have similar problems with La Vie Est Belle, so maybe it's something about my skin chemistry. Longevity and sillage are grandiose - if you enjoy it, good.

Palmierhunter

I really want to love this perfume but my God it’s overly powdery which so strange cause it’s not one of the notes. There just something overpowering hovering at the top that can be a bit sickening if oversprayed
It’s great for layering though

fformoso88

Every time I wear this fragrance I constantly get endless compliments! This is gorgeous! Very sweet, very seductive, very intoxicating. Men and women will compliment you. I’m sad they discontinued this I got it on fragrancenet as a blind buy but definitely a successful blind buy absolutely love it!

Rosiewebber

Strawberry caramel with the barest hint of coffee and patchouli. It’s extremely sweet, bordering on sickly though for me it never quite crosses that line. A fruity syrup of a fragrance that I find strangely appealing.

FireDragon76

I'm upset because La Nuit Trésor has been on my 'want' list for years, I could've afforded 30ml today and I finally got to test it, but the decent returns to predominantly licorice scent on me and I don't like that -on me. I haven't written LNT off yet. I'm have to test it some more.

Merryj

I didn’t like it the first time I smelled it. It was too rosy but after a while the scent grew on me

doono

it was marketed as a date night fragrance and it is exactly that. sweet, head turner, cozy and inviting. for me, its mostly the vanilla with some fruity sweetness. on the dry down a bit more of the incense, vanilla and chocolaty vibe that stuck with you after you went to sleep, than you want to take a shower its a bit too much at this point but overall, good feminine fragrance that does the trick.

KrisztaGinger

I really hate this perfume.
And my problem is that I didnt accept it for myself.
When I spray it freshly, Immediately smell fresh pear after came the sugary sweetness ..so far so good and after 5 minutes it starts to changeing so vad, than half an hour and I get sick of it. I becomes Bad cheapy soapy scratchy granny scent. And everytime I go to a store and I see this perfume, I reminde the good pear things, give it another chance and after 30 min. I get nausea again.

onjelbercier

It's so deliciously fruity and floral but it's either the incense or the coffee that makes it overwhelming especially in the heat. And not even hot heat, the slightest amount of warmth will make this unbearable for me. There must be pepper in this that gets released on the dry down. It's making me cough and I can hardly breathe when wearing it. I would be doing myself and others around me a disservice to overspray this beast.
I have never before tried a true gourmand. All I have to say is... Be careful!

darknightskyy

She is a synthetic bomb. I seriously should have read reviews about the reformulation before blind buying.

raamsi

Ah the original La Nuit Tresor, love of my life. Know that the one on the market is NOT this one -- it is La Nuit Tresor 2019, which has its own page and I see some reviews commenting on that one while on this page.

The 2019 formulation is a more mass appealing, sweet gourmand. It's missing the smokey warmth that the original 2015 has with the notes of incense, coffee, and licorice. It isn't as fruity as 2019, and especially not in the drydown. It's darker are far more lovely.

It is still a powerhouse though, one spray is more than enough to last for 8+ hours on the skin (and a full year if judging by those Christmas sweaters that only get worn once a year).

If anyone is selling the original 2015 I'd gladly buy it -- I honestly don't know how I'm going to live without it once my bottle is gone 💕

La.Nuit.Est.Belle

Is simply an amazing and longlasting fragrance, i can't identificate every note on its description, anyways love it with my whole heart💗 is sweet, femenine, provocative, atractive, dark and absolutely seductive.
Those vanilla, caramel and praline notes are amazingly done, i guess, i'm unable to live w/o this parfum anymore.

lauravladelena

It smells like orchids with a hint of synthetic strawberry and sugar. It smells good, a balanced mix between flowery, fruity and sweet. I feel like this would smell best in the winter because the sweetness might be overpowering in the summer. I don't think you can go wrong with this, it smells like this would be liked by the majority of people

MadamNijinsky

A fairly inoffensive gourmand. Not the best I've ever smelled, but not the worst either. The bottle is gorgeous and the strawberry note makes it distinct, but not phenomenal I would say.

Gianna1394

Me encantaaa 💖😍 simplemente una joya ✨️👌

AZGirl79

Just a reminder that this page is for the ORIGINAL La Nuit. There is a page for the 2019 reformulation. So unless you are sure your bottle is from before the reformation, you aren’t reviewing this particular formulation. There’s no longer coffee, incense, or licorice ect in new formula.

Jade-Ange D

What a superbly good gourmand/fruity every day kind of fragrance.

I think that the olfactive pyramid of this fragrance was perfectly created :

• Top notes : You get your fresh fruits, helping for a bit of a lighter and brighter touch : Pear / Tangerine / Bergamot

• Middle Notes : It is now slightly floral, stays fruity but starts to get sweeter and yummy : Strawberry /Vanilla Orchid / Black Rose / Passionfruit

• Base Notes : Let the sweeeeeet gourmand heaven begin ! : Caramel / Litchi / Vanilla / Patchouli / Incense / Coffee / Licorice / Coumarin / Papyrus

But if I just try to find the prominent notes, I’ll say that the Caramel / Coffee / Strawberry / Passionfruit and Vanilla are the stars of the show.

I think that La Nuit Trésor isn’t my favorite from the line, La Nuit Trésor Intense is.
But it stays beautiful and I seem to love it.

The lasting power and sillage is insane, it is a powerhouse don’t spray too much or you’ll kill anyone around you by causing them a headache and/or nausea. It’s one of these perfumes that are forbidden to overspray.

I fell in love with that amazingly well blended scent. I am a sucker for Gourmand and Fruity perfumes, so La Nuit Trésor definitely got me good. 9/10 !

Rocky Perry

Lemme tell you something. This was the first perfume i ever bought (now its empty). My nose needs to climax whenever i smell it. It's like you're a fairy in the woods giving candy to some local goats, and they beg for more. But then the goats die because the candy is poisonous... it's dark & fairytail-ish.

pros:
• It's giving sweet confident woman. Period.
• orgasmic
• the scent lasts long (especially when i was in Italy)
Cons:
• if u spray too much it can easily give u a headache
• what if you die from how good it smells

jward03

there is just something about the smell of synthetic lychee that is extremely nauseating to me. hard pass.

Nora Gad

Ghostkiller4kandy

Creamy fresh strawberries ,gentle whip creme& carmal &nuts with warmth, smooth slightly fresh&sweet in the perfect way, lasts 6-7hrs ♡

frag_nostalgia

Quite synthetic, it is the type of perfume that will give the more sensitive among us a headache. I bought this decant a few years ago when I first started getting into fragrances because YouTubers basically describe it as sex in a bottle. I never used it because I found (still find) it cloying. My nose is a bit more refined these days, so tonight I decided to try it again -- and no, it's still not my jam. I definitely get strawberry, some orange, and laundry-esque florals, definitely a lancome-esque rose. No patchouli, no incense, very little praline (but a definite sweetness). I DO pick up a syrupy vanilla-coffee note and a bit of liquorice. Still no papyrus, no passion fruit, no pear nor lychee. I'm sure they're in there to some degree, but not enough to think "oh, there's the passion fruit!" All the ingredients just fuse into one sweet, cloying rose-centric fruity floral. A daring perfume for a designer house, but the notes (to me) just don't blend into something amazing. It's not terrible or revolting, it's just not my style. I'm sure a lady I work with will appreciate it. Decluttering.

Fenissa

Incredibly seductive. It is simply a magical witchery love potion.
The last time I left traces of this on a lover's bed he told me the smell of it was on his sheets and pillows in the days that followed and drove him crazy with lust. If you want to be memorable, wear this. It will not let you down.
Longevity and silage are both strong to beast mode. As I say, it lasts many days on fabric.
On my skin, I get a solid 12 hours of wear.
The bottle is also fantastic. It looks every part the ultimate femme fatale elixir of temptation.
I heard whispers it is going to be discontinued. I hope this is not the case. If so, I will need a stash of backup bottles and so will you.

Caramel lady

This gives me witchy, dark feminine vibes.
My son always says he can smell mango, litchi when I spray this - I get it, but there is something else that makes it pull “dark”. It’s not a bright fruity fragrance. Very strong and long lasting, worth the price if you’re into it.

I’ve had my 100ml bottle for over a year, will not repurchase and only spray it to “use it up”. Just not my vibe as it doesn’t wow me.
A nice, feminine perfume.

lauraimelda

When I first used this perfume, I didn't get IT. Thought it was just another strong, sweet perfume. As I wore it a few more times, I started falling in love with it's depth. My favorite place to wear this is to church. I feel as though, "I" bring the incense to the church, and it is not cloying if you wear it in winter. It has a sultry and nurturing vibe.

kristenboris1997

This really is a sweet treat! I really love the gourmand scent of this. I wouldn't say it lasts long on me but on my skin a few hours at least. I may be anosmic to many scents after a while, however. I really like this one a lot. Being that my nose goes on strike pretty quickly, sadly, I may be a walking biohazard like httrung32 mentioned below. I hope not but it is possible. Sad that my nose just doesn't want to work for me lately. :( Love these sort of perfumes.

$ortabroke

One my favorites. A unique and beautiful mix of sweet, dark strawberry, syrupy litchi, caramel, and vanilla. I often wear this mixed with Giorgio Armani Si Intense, and one time, the morning after a long night in his car, he told me he got into his car, smelled my scent and got excited all over again. Truly an enchanting, memorable scent.

httrung32

It is a beast mode, crazy sweet, caramel licorice zingy fruity super sweet candy explosion that will stuff your nostrils and everyone else’s within a 10-mile radius. This perfume is so powerful that it can travel through air vents, walls, and even time and space. My sister is obsessed with this fragrance and wears it all the time, even in the morning for work. She thinks she is a sexy night queen, but she is actually a walking biohazard. Every time she steps out of her room, the scent fills the entire four-story townhouse like a gas leak. I remember once I was in the bathroom on the fourth floor, and somehow this fragrance entered the air vent from the second floor and assaulted my nose inside a closed bathroom. I almost choked on the sweetness and had to run out of the house. I like the scent, but I am traumatized by the whole beast mode experience. I would not recommend this perfume to anyone who values their health, sanity, or relationships. Unless you want to be known as the person who smells like a candy factory exploded on them, stay away from La Nuit Trésor! 😂

Anna Clara K. Bernardy

To me, this fragrance is surreal!!! I have the 2019 reformulated version, it's good on its own, but this 2015 one is heavenly perfect!!! I'm kinda happy that LNT isn't that popular (or at least I don't see many people talk about this perfume, I see many people talking about BR540, Delina, LVEB, Good Girl, L'Interdit, Miss Dior, Angel, Prada Paradoxe, Hypnotic Poison EDT and Scandal Le Parfum), so I smell unique and whenever people ask what I'm wearing, I normally brush it off, because I'm jealous of this gem. In colder days, I usually layer LNT, Taste of Kiss and 2019 LNT and I smell like a delicious chocolate or chocolate cake. I'm really into gourmand fragrances, so if you aren't a gourmand lover, stay away from this. I'm really sad Lancôme decided to reformulate, though loving the new version too. IMO, if this fragrance was a song, it would be "Perfect", by Ed Sheeran. Not only because to me it's the most perfect scent of all, but to me, this fragrance is the most romantic I've even known, I intend to wear on my wedding if I ever get married. I don't really see the sexy and appealing side. In my eyes, this perfume vibes it's cuddling with your special other on a snowing night. I have a 100 ml that's only in the beginning and I'll buy another 100ml one to never run out of this gorgeous scent.
edit: I found out that Lancôme will stop selling this gem in Brazil, and that made me feel shattered, but at least I had the opportunity to know this scent and there are some dupes.

trumanpurp1e

if this fragrance were a song, it would be old money by lana del rey. a stunning gourmand with very impressive longevity and projection. always gets compliments.

Luthien999

The Praline note is dominant...Kinda seductive. Amazing projection and longevity. Night- Time.

CatOwned

This smells really good, but I don't see how this is beast mode. Maybe my nose is weird but this one is subtle to me.

Eval81

I just hope they never stop making this

Rose1412

Too sweet and mature

ggwpate

The perfect scent for a night out and to attract attention! The combination of sweet and spicy notes with a hint of smoky incense creates an air of seduction and mystery. The deep, velvety rose scent adds to the allure. I felt very confident and sexy wearing this scent, almost like a stripper. It's also not overpowering or cloying like some other gourmand fragrances I've tried. The longevity and longevity is also impressive, my fiancé can't stop complimenting me on how great I smell!

Melis.t

I remember the first time trying this, I couldn't get it out of my mind. Deep, rich, sultry definitely a head turner type of fragrance. I mainly get smoky rose with caramel from this. It's not too cloying or juvenile. Mature, dark and mysterious. BUT...I don't reach for it quite often because I feel it requires an exact mood to appreciate this scent. It's a beast mode fragrance and it projects very good. I save it for date nights in winter.

AmandaBucik

Very sweet, dark and beautiful fragrance but somehow it reminds me of 2010

KwanKookie

Super intense perfume if you wanna intimidate someone. One spray and I could smell this on me all day and all night. First note I get is litchi followed by sweet praline. I get a slight note of rose and the dry down is a very present incense scent. Definitely a night time perfume with a great performance. When I tried this in the stor I was kinda sceptic but brought it anyway cuz it was sale and now I find it interesting and alluring. It definitely not for everyone but if you like a sweet, fruity and spicy scent.

Misia Cloudy Lamb

I am extremely surprised that you can’t find Absolutely Blooming by Dior in the “reminds me of…” category. AB by Dior is my signature scent for six years for now, I passed more than 1 liter of it and let me tell, when I found that this is gonna be discontinued I was feral. Of course I am stocking up as much bottles as possible still but till I discovered La Nuit Tresor I am not so much heartbroken as I was because Tresor have my favourite aspect of Absolutely in itself without any doubt. My boyfriend didn’t found that I changed my perfumes till I said him I did and he is good person to judge because he’s obsessed with my scent

ReinaDeMiel

The initial scent is deliciously & beautifully sweet & alluring but, after the dry down, I found it became quite plain & boring; too disappointing for its price.

anastasija777

Smoky, fruity, sweet, dark and really intense. It kind of smells like strawberry shisha. If you want everyone to smell you, this is perfect. This used to be the only scent I wore when going out and it got tons of compliments, probably my most comlimented scent to day. It really is intoxicating.

nada.dia

When I smelled this one at the store I wanted it so bad. After few uses the obsession kinda faded 😂
It gives me headache, more for a mature woman. The opening is super sweet/caramel-y and spicy, then settle down to a smokey heavy scent(my nose cannot detect what exactly the notes are), super long lasting. For me I love youthful more fresh scents, this one is so deep and sophisticated. Nonetheless, it’s sexy as hell and I actually get compliments when wearing it, but no it’s not for my personality but will still wear it until I finish it only at night outs and during cold weather. Plus I love how the packaging looks on the dresser.

Spicadk

Im not sure if this tester is the original, or if its the one from 2019. I wish i knew, because it smells great. First impression on paper. Smells sweet delicate and fresh, like a fruit tea. smell like something you want to Eat. Sweet and a little sour Strawberry, passionfruit, vanilla, nougat and chokolate. Reminds me of britney spears fantasy midnight the original, but way better and more light/airy.
Update, this smells exactly like britney fantasy

Cherry Bloom

Autumnblue914 described it perfectly for my perception. It perceive it as dark, well blended, synthetic and it's definitely seductive. It was my 1st love at first sniff perfume. But now, after some years since I discovered it and after meeting with niche quality I find this one so average.

I repurchased a 30 ml bottle out of nostalgia but as much as I try, I no longer feel that shiver down my spine that I feel when I smell my perfumes that I love. But tastes change anyway and there are other designer perfumes I love but not this one...not amymore...and I suffer a bit for this. How could I love it so much and now how can it leave me so cold and unimpressed? 🥺

smccmurphy

Pretty, sweet, and feminine without being as obnoxious as la vie est belle. Synthetic and mature, but I’m enjoying it nonetheless. Great longevity, I smelled it on my skin even after swimming in chlorine for an hour.

Sassafras23

Oops, I missed the smokiness when I was testing it from a mini. I would dab it on my wrist when going to bed and fall asleep by the time it got around to fuming. Now, I’ve got the whole 75ml of it and I’m normally averse to smoky incense. Well, there’s the gemstone of a bottle to console me, right? (Wouldn’t that be a dream to amass all the dark bottles from the collection?) But even now that I’m awake to this normally objectionable facet, I’m still into this fragrance. It’s sweet, not bitter on me even when smoky. Addictive sweetness - if I am to sum up this blend - fruity and floral first and then gourmand sweetness. Being very rich, dense and potent, it needs to be applied sparingly. One spritz goes a long way, meaning I’ll never be able to finish my bottle.

PS: is this the most reviewed fragrance or what? My finger got numb from scrolling and still I could never reach the bottom.

Update: I’m struck by the resemblance between this and Fancy by Jessica Simpson. I’m comparing them side by side. Given than Fancy was released in 2008, that would make La Nuit a dupe.

lmnsvgz

This is extremely feminine - the first spray is juicy, fruity, which then turns into a very sweet, caramel-heavy base. I prefer the top notes a lot more than the drydown unfortunately.

stephanienwc

Smells very mature

kkk

As the name suggests it's a night wearing parfume. Yes, it's a bit heavy, but really just a bit on me. For me it's an everyday scent, even an office friendly one. I get lots of compliments during wearing this - not offensive at all.
At first my skin brings out the bergamot - strawberry - rose combo witch is nicely feminine, juicy and fresh. After 15 minutes the sweets starts dominating, heavenly tart litchi-vanilla, the rose stays with me. After 3 hours the base notes singing hello: patchouli-coffee-insense.
What a we'll balanced, blooming scent! Give it a try!

Mia21

I am obsessed with this, it brings me so much comfort i could bathe in it, but it just smells good on my skin thats why, not gonna smell good on everyone.

Laynie_Scents

I don’t hate it but I just can’t love it. I’m not sure why this one is just okay to me.

Hifza

Love the packaging. The crystal cherry red bottle is to die for, fragrance is very sweet but very soft and longlasting.

habiba ahmed

i like the sweetness of this fregrance but at the same time i hate that ...it's strong and overwhelming

Maudel

I just gave it to a friend after having it for about 2 years. I couldn't even use half of my 50ml bottle. Very good perfume, but a bit heavy. Good for night outs. Very long lasting. I think it's too strong for day wear, can be good for cold weather. I should have bought a 30ml :)

haleykbhenry

Jeremy Fragrance suggested this as a winter perfume BUT after testing this out multiple times, I don't love this. This falls flat because it has too many heavy notes that weigh down this composition. It isn't dimensional despite having so many different notes even fruity ones. If you love gourmands this may be a disappointment for the fact that there is a bitterness to it that lingers. Please sample before purchasing a full sized bottle

Mistress Eva

La Nuit Tresor isn’t the kind of perfume I would have bought based on the notes alone, but I can't deny how well it works on me. It’s definitely sweet, but not unbearably gourmand or toothache-inducing. The praline and caramel are the most prominent notes, but they are nicely balanced out by the other notes in the composition. The litchi, vanilla, patchouli, strawberry, incense, and orchid are noticeable supporting notes and blend nicely. For a sweet, "sexy" scent, it’s has a lot going on; I can detect a lot of the notes in the note tree.

While La Nuit Tresor isn’t quite a “love”, it is a very strong like and good example of why I stay open-minded about designer fragrances. The performance is good; it lasts a long time and projects nicely.

Laralaritaaa

When I first tried this fragrance, around 2015/2016 I was really turned off by this fragrance. It smelled so dense with a very sharp incense note, like a burnt raspberry.

Fast forward to 2023, I casually tried it again and it's so different. I actually like the newer version tbh. Lighter, sweet and warm raspberry (I don't pick strawberry like most of the comments). It's a linear fragrance with decent longevity. Reminds me a bit of LPRN but less acid.

MunchiPupzi

i bought a sample as i was excited about the notes but it’s not for me. something about the top note is really off-putting on my skin, a strange mix of citruses and slight strawberry but not in a nice way and just reminds me of fresh cheap deodorant. dry down is slightly better as some sweetness comes through but nothing impressive at all, it just smells really basic.

gnv15mle

I must have the newer version because all I can smell is almond, licorice/anise, vanilla and something fruity, maybe pear or strawberry? Reminds me very much of both LPRN edp and edt from Guerlain.

ssamhita

When I rekindled my love for perfumes a year and half ago, and started lurking on forums and voraciously reading reviews, one perfume that had really piqued my interest was La Nuit Tresor. And yes, I had heard of the reformulation. But honestly, I hadn't smelled the original, so it didn't really make a difference to me that this perfume had been reformulated.

For what it's worth, I did smell the original formulation, and I still prefer this current version better. Yes, call the cops.

I couldn't afford to blind buy La Nuit Tresor - not that it is easily available where I live anyway - so I did the next best thing. I bought the La Rive dupe (Taste of Kiss) and fell in love. After that, I knew, I simply knew that I needed La Nuit Tresor in my life.

There's something about this perfume that moves me - in a very emotional way. The fact that it's decadent and rich, almost like a dense desert because of the praline and caramel and coffee and is deep because of the tonka bean and the incense, and yet at the same time, retains a sort of freshness to it, is what makes this perfume enigmatic to me. I don't know what it is about these Lancome perfumes, but Tresor Midnight Rose makes me feel the same way. There are so many dimensions to this fragrance! Of course, you can straight away tell this is quality stuff. It's insanely smooth and seamless - I really can't tell one note from the other - and performs exactly like it ought to.

When I wear this, I feel main character energy coursing through my veins. I feel like I could be at a party, and instead of finding myself a quiet corner (like I am prone to) I'd be right in the thick of it, flaunting my best self and flirting with anyone in the vicinity. I'd wear that sexy dress I keep tucked away inside my closet, and I'd wear red, red lipstick and heels that make me feel like I'm on top of the world. And when I'd come back home, I'd still smell gorgeous, and feel gorgeous, and bask in the knowledge that I've made an impression on everyone there.

The other day, I layered La Nuit Tresor with Nina Ricci L'Extase. When I say I felt giddy happy at a purely visceral level, I am not exaggerating.

katie02kat

Winter perfume only and only, it cannot reveal itself in other seasons.

heynana

Super pretty and super sexy! A go-to date night scent. It's kinda basic (It has the classic designer DNA) but we don't have to smell sophisticated and unique all the time. Plus it's very likeable. It may be cloying in summer times, it's more like a winter or autumn scent. If you don't like sweet scents, stay away from this.

DebsyDoo

People need to make sure they’re reviewing bottles pre-2019 as this perfume was reformulated then or be clear if it’s the newer version because the ingredient list isn’t the same.
I have a few bottles of pre 2019 and some other flankers of la nuit tresor.
This is rich, sweet and a bit dark… but not dirty……and lasts all day (or night). I think it might be my most favourite perfume ever. The strawberry is so sweet and I just love it so much!!
I tend to wear the edt during the day and edp during the night as it is quite heavy but I’m not afraid to wear it in cooler weather during the day.
I also never came across someone else who wears this, I don’t think it’s very popular, not in the UK anyway.

Defo worth finding yourself a bottle of this on eBay just check the batch code.

sophie sanderson

I have tried this and no its not a perfume im ok with and even though I do like sweet perfume there's some thing about it that puts me off it I think it's some of the notes I just am not ok with litchi incense papyrus licorice and courmarin I think it's got to many notes in it that are just to much for it really

tudor_rose80

This is a very sweet fragrance. The opening is too sharp on my skin relative to the dry down. A few hours in and I'm getting praline, sweet coffee, and lychee, which lightens the depth of the fragrance imo. It's nice.

tilapia_johnson

Strawberry bonbons with the slightest touch of citrus and vanilla. Still waiting for the dark sweetness of praline, incense, and licorice to come through. Not as strong as other reviews emphasized, and I even sense a freshness that resembles YSL Mon Paris. Very sweet and warm still!

RoseJam2020

Love the tresor la nuit nude as my signature scent. This one also makes me feel warm and soft. Highly recommended both.

ariej2010

I bought this perfume, because it was suggested for me by the Fragrantica page, I love Tom Ford Black Orchid, and I get the resemblance, but at the same time they are so different!
At first I was hesitant to purchase it, because my experience with La Vie est Belle, that smelled gloriously on others but not on me,
Well, I trusted Fragrantica suggestion and bought it, and I'm in love!!
It is so gourmand, less dark than Black Orchid.
Wearing this is like being in a patisserie where they are baking the best fruit desserts, with molasses, nuts, fruits, the candied pear is wonderful, yet at the same time the place is filled with flowers and all aromas are blended.
The aroma is sophisticated yet so comfortable.
I have been wearing it daily since I got it, and because it is Christmas, it has made all my days festive!!

Frenchghost

First time first bottle i love this, strawberry 🍓 finally have found it!♡ 💋 L♡¥€~my batch code said mine is from 07-2021&original, lasts&projects well,I guess I'm lucky with my chemistry because I get a juicy strawberry 🍓 that's fresh slightly sour yet sweet the first 4hours&later I get whip creme maybe vanilla with pralines make this,a strawberry paradise, after 4hrs its more strawberry whip creme&more vanilla sweet&nice! I just love this!♡I never thought this would be the 🍓 strawberry perfume I dreamed of finding!!! I'm very lucky my chemistry made my dreams come true! Very good blind buy♡lasts a good 8hrs clothing longer. PERFECTION

zyxsu

extremely sweet, reminds me of a jelly candy the lychee is very prominent

savjlc

I can only wear this occasionally, it is very very sweet. It is definitely a nighttime out fragrance, it projects very potently and then settles into a sweet vanilla praline that sits close to the skin. It can be cloying if it’s stuffy, and the huge combo of notes can be somewhat off putting to my nose if I’m not in the mood for it, if that makes sense. If I’m feeling extra and something sweet for a night out this is still fun! It’s fruity but in a very gourmand way, not fresh at all

ca$hm3re

This is an absolutely STUNNING scent. Top 20 of my favourite scents that I’ve ever come across I’d say. I think my love for midnight fantasy sort of explains the reason why I love this one.

It’s sweet but deep. I love that strawberry sweet fruitiness that it has but that’s balanced by those more deeper dark notes that just make this incredibly sexy.

The image that comes to mind for me is a beautiful woman in a black mink dress with with velvet deep purple shoes on, with a matching velvet deep purple clutch and dramatic costume jewellery. Sexy witchy vibes basically. It’s sooo lovely.

So glad to have this in my collection and one that I hope is never discontinued.

Liliana1976

One of my favorite fragrances. Especially for winter. So warm and welcoming. Love ❤️ it.

Bebeck

If anyone has a 2015, old formulation bottle they are looking to sell I would be interested in buying in January (when I have money)! 🙏

twalkin

I really like this perfume but it is strong, so I gave it a 4/5 - definitely sweet, and I can't unsmell strawberry candies in the strawberry foil wrapper I get at my physio; that is the smell I totally associate with it always now.

Rimazy

I think it's the boldest and heaviest perfume in my collection. Very beautiful, but hard to wear.

Kcbear28

I have a love hate relationship with this perfume. The silage and longevity are epic. The opening is so mouthwatering and delicious but the dry down is so urgh!! I don’t even know how to explain it. Is it coumarin? I don’t even know what coumarin smells like! If I had to explain the dry down, I would say burned rice grains.

P.S. I have the 2015 version.

Adjr1087

I have my bottle since 2015, I checked batch number and it shows manufactured date of November 2014! So I may have one of the first first bottles created with the original formulation (and much better than the reformulated one in 2019) I also bought a 1oz bottle of 2020 batch, just to compare old and new formulation. I definitely much rather prefer old formulation. I will never understand why companies change something that was already perfect in the first place, but oh well, seems to happen with every single best selling perfume. I definitely get more caramel and vanilla on the 2014 batch, while 2019 is more fruity and there's no caramel at all. 2019 is leaning more towards litchi/rose vibe that is so trendy right now. So sad it has been reformulated. But meanwhile, I will use my 2014 bottle while it lasts and treat it like my most valuable treasure.

LanaDelSlay

I feel like sometimes it's a bit too sweet

Cmtran1985

After hearing so many amazing reviews, I blind bought this. I’m not sure what to think. While it’s not repulsive or anything, every time I smell it, I’m reminded of a witch’s brew or potion. I don’t know if it’s the incense, but those are just the vibes I get. I just don’t think it fits my personality or style.

Kiwigoddess

This is a really nice fragrance. It is very on par with black opium due to the licorice note. Longevity is decent at 10-12hrs. Projection is arms length and sillage lasts about 2-4hrs. I like this perfume but probably not enough to get a full bottle as there are other similar fragrances with a better performance.

RobynCrabtree

My newest love! The opening of this is strong, sweet, sugary, & fruity. UBER girly (which I love) without smelling too teenager-ish. The fruitiness melts well into the rose, rounding it out and keeping it from being super linear. FB worthy, and I say blind buy safe if you are a fan of the notes!

tamlou

I had really hoped to try this. I thought it was me and I could not smell any of the notes described and then I realized that had the newer formulation which is just blah....nauseating.
Make sure your review is for the right formulation. The 2019 version is also on the site and is missing all of the things that made this special

Galkagalinka

Some of you might still not know that this 2015 perfume was reformulated in 2019. There’s a separate page for the 2019 reformulation. Before sharing a review, please find out which formulation you have. I haven’t tried the 2015 version, but I have the newer one and I love it!

pinkfairygumdrop

I own this and a la folie and tbh i love them both equally. this one is dark, mysterious, witchy, a perfect fall frag IMO. Tempted to buy a backup bottle but I must say I own AFNAN modest pour femme and they are 95% identical. Also I know Tresor la nuit was reformulated and the lasting power isnt nearly as good. Mine is from 4/2018 and lasting power is very good. Make sure you buy a older bottle. Frag is beautiful but no point in paying $100 for a bottle if it wont last at all....

Gemsense

??? Perfect for someone in their 20s? I don't think so, seems a little bit much for them. I think it's for grown women in late 30s to 40s.

sask1a

Someone in the comments below said this smells like you asked a witch to cook up a love potion perfume and I would have to agree. Its delicious, sweet, warm and boozy. Perfect going out fragrance for someone in their 20's. Compliment getter and so addictive. It is also very strong and long lasting - Lancome really knows how to make perfumes!!

Perseous

Oh boy…I really don’t like this. I ordered it because the notes sounded like something right up my alley but I was so wrong. This is sooo messy and unbalanced to my nose. There is way too much going on in this fragrance. Everytime in managed to detect a note, another one came crashing in. The notes on their own are nice but I feel like they don’t work well together. Tresor la nuit feels like the parfumers asked like 20 people what note they like the most in a fragrance and then just threw all of them into a pot. I really wanted to like it tho

Gin Palace

My daughter wanted this so I bought her a little 5ml mini. I would say it has good silage and longevity because it’s only a splash bottle but you can still smell it in the air for a while and I always comment that she smells nice but it’s not overpowering. The vanilla smell that lingers reminds me of the dry down of Shalimar (the bit I like). Funny because my daughter would actually hate that because she thinks Shalimar is disgusting! I had to ask her if she’d been spraying Shalimar about. But anyway, this is a nice perfume that gets compliments.

Doeyez72

I have 3 bottles of this. I have had them for several years. I have over 100 Niche and I mean Roja Dove, Xerjoff, Bodicea, Intio, etc Niche and hands down when I do grab for this on a date especially. I am guaranteed to be told i smell good. The majority of population aside from us Fragheads, seem to enjoy more basic, sweet, or clean musky type fragrances. At least my observation and experiences.

cynthiad623

Love it!

kookaburra1000

Smells as a cathedral would if it were crafted of Amethyst and wind chimes.

Chiquita Virtual

So yummy & long lasting! Def buying it soon <3

Lotte_Liese

The scent of an alluring, well put together woman. From the notes profile, I had full expectations of loving this classic gourmand and I most definitely do. It is sweet, but not annoyingly sickly sweet- juicy pear in the opening, strawberry and passionfruit in the mid, praline and litchi in the dry down- this is a qualified gourmand. I find three notes most interesting in this fragrance- coffee, incense and caramel... I feel they come together to add that bit of allure and mystery, you will not be disappointed to wear this on an evening out. There is patchouli, but it troubles nothing if you let your bottle settle before you test.
The popularity of this fragrance dissuades me from splurging on a full bottle.

Gemsense

I don't smell anything sweet about this. It smells like a pecan Danish. Only no sweetness, all nuttiness. It's just nutty and strong.

BigBobRoss

Very sweet strawberry mixed with coffee and licorice and other sweetness

Smells like a candy store

Pleasant smell if you like overpowering sweet scents

YenSung

How is it possible? How anyone would see this as being sexy? This is horrible overload of sweet strawberries. This is definitely the biggest disappointment I have ever had (perfume wise)
It smells like cheap teenager body mist

Caroliinaa

Smelled it in store on a strip and fell in love and cannot even imagine how good this smells on the skin. I will buy it for Christmas. I think I have found one of my all time fragrances ever. Cannot wait to get it.

bagginz

I really love this. I checked the batch and my bottle is from 2021.

It starts off very fruity. Like sweet pear and passionfruit. Maybe a bit of rose. But that quickly gives way to the praline, which to me smells like nutty caramel. That note lasts a long time.

As it dries down it turns into a lovely dark, warm, caramelly vanilla with a bit of incense and patchouli. It's decadent and comforting and very sexy.

Beelzree

Had high expectations seeing all these positive reviews. It might be the reformulated version but this is nothing special to me. Super artificial sweetness is all I get from this. Blind bought this and Hypnotic Poison by Dior and hypnotic poison has way more depth and warmth.

Hannehoney

New favorite! This will be perfect for colder weather and I already bought a backup :) Its dark and sexy. Its so well blended, I can smell all the notes :) In the drydown I can smell a lot of tonkabean, same kind as in Poison Girl and La Belle le Parfum. Its just perfect.

Vermeer

Absolutely love this scent. Big burst of rose, jammy strawberries, caramel and vanilla that lasts all day. I can still smell this on my clothes days after spraying! The scent trail follows me wherever I go, the only downside is that I get used to the scent throughout the day and can't smell it as often as I would like. Completely addictive, and a huge compliment getter! Would 100% buy again. 9.5/10

vintagesoda

Such a beautiful fragrance. This will forever be in my favourites. I actually initially got a perfume oil dupe designed to smell like this and that’s what inspired me to buy it! It’s sweet, but not overly so that it will give you a headache. To me it has caramel notes but it’s also fruity and slightly boozy. It makes a perfect date night fragrance and it will always be in my top 3!

maimaibaby

Oh my lord, i'm so much disappointed by the newly reformulated version. It take a toll on the beauty of the fragrance. There is no gourmand at all. Please bring back the OG one !!!

_Anka_

La Nuit Trésor is one of my new favourites for the fall/winter nights and events. It is a delicate desert in a gorgeous bottle. The sweet, warm scents of strawberry, vanilla orchid, praline and caramel blend so well that I literally want to "lick this smell" (if it were possible). It's strong enough to be "commanding" and grab attention when you enter the room, but not in an overpowering way, where everyone gets a headache from smelling you. I absolutely love it and I think will be wearing this for many winter events in the years to come. You also don't need much (3-4 squirts go a long way) and it lasted for more than 6-7 hours on my skin and much longer than that on my clothes.

moonlight_xx

The Amazon dupe “La Nuit Trésor” is amazing and in my opinion, better value. It’s lasted me for over a year, the silage is great and I have recieved many compliments :)

Lorela

So witchy! I wear this when I want to stay alone, when I go for a walk at the lake in Autumn and the ground is dressed with golden leaves. The silliage is magical, people know it comes from you but yet they are afraid to come and talk to you... But the curiosity keeps them watching you from distance...

kookooforcoconuts

Smells like an old caramel candy that's been at the bottom of your grandma's purse for the last 3 years

p.kalamaja

Reformulated. New notes are: Top Note: Lychee, Raspberry
Middle Note: Rose Damascena Essence, Incense
Base Note: Absolute Vanilla Orchid Tahitensis, Praline, Patchouli, Papyrus

I would’ve loved to have smelled the original. Thanks IFRA for ruining every fragrance With your new regulations. Another leftist regime.

Leidy C

Adictiva y sexy combinación. Huele a una fresa cremosita acaramelada. Es un perfume muy femenino y dulce pero no empalagoso, me encanta y es mi perfume firma. Dura en la ropa por días y es simplemente delicioso.

NoirDesir

The current reformulation is nothing like the old one. I had this perfume in 2018, was very long lasting, had a great sillage, was very sexy and the scent had a depth to it. The actual reformulation is barely moderate, longevity and sillage and lacks that complexity. Smells sweet but more generic than the previous one. Too bad they changed the formula of this perfume, it was great then.

shams97

too sweet gave me the worst headaches

jadesfragrances

this stuff is addictive - i can’t stop smelling my wrist! this is the first time ever i can actually pick up the strawberry note in a perfume. super feminine and sexy - very sweet but still manages to have a kinda dark, mysterious vibe. love the bottle too!

arteditors

my colleague is wearing it right now. oh dear. it's pure ISO E Super with nothing else in it. ever since I got to know that molecule, I can detect that and nothing else. why? looking at the notes it lists no cedar which is the hint of ISO E Super, unless it's papyrus that is that compound... shame it might be me but... that's all I can get.

morveni_91

I need a new fragrance, I am that type of Lady who likes to use just one fragrance, and it takes me a lot of time to choose something which will represent myself, I take it very seriously when it comes to choosing a fragrance, I had 5 options, last one was La Nuit Tresor after smelling all 4 fragrances in the shop I tried la Nuit Tresor and died, DAMN what a sexy smell seriously? the definition of sexiness, elegance and femininity, yes it is sweet, but not sweet like candy girl style, it's another level, I am so impressed by this fragrance, check Jeremy Fragrances' reaction about this fragrance and understand why do you need to have it.
I am in love with La Nuit Tresor, SEXY,SEXY and SEXY :D

Lancome merci pour ce parfum sensuel et sexuelle ,j'adore.

Hypnotic Flower

This fragrance will forever be timeless.
Addictive and super intoxicating, this sticks to objects and clothes and doesn't go away..Makes me feel like the most confident bitch you'll ever meet. Sex in a bottle for sure, I could never live without it..JUST WOW.

Invisibeau

One of my favourite fruity fragrances. It makes me wanna sniff my wrist throughout the day. The pear, strawberry and litchi are most pronounced on my skin. It reminds me of the refined, richer and older sister of Avon Imari Corset. It has good staying power, esp considering my skin wipes off scents very easily. Sillage and projection are moderate for me. I think it's perfect for the night but I would love smelling of it during the day as well.

fformoso88

I blind bought this and I love it! It’s a sexy fruitchouli fragrance. Very sweet! Sugared, strawberry, caramel, praline. Definitely a night out or sexy date night fragrance. It smells like candy. I have to test guys reaction to this because I feel like this is a man eater fragrance for sure. Sweet and sexy af!

ElleZ

Orchid, litchi, strawberry, sugar (I don’t get caramel or praline, just pure processed sugar), patchouli, and papyrus. A failed blind buy. I so wish I had gotten to smell the pre-reformulation version, with licorice, coffee, caramel, vanilla, insence. Mine’s a 2021 batch. Didn’t read up well enough. My bad. For now a sweet synthetic mess. Hopefully it gives. If so, will update.

EDIT.
It’s not that bad, I just find it lacks something. Depth perhaps, character. And it’s not at all the powerhouse I expected. It’s pleasant, but not a showstopper.

mimissekat

This is the gourmand perfume I've purchased so many times! And for a good reason! It's beautiful, sexy, mysterious, addictive. I have noticed that even if it's very sweet it's fine to wear in the summer. I've worn this in summer and have gotten compliments despite the heat. But I will agree that it's more suitable for fall/winter. But I don't care! It's so deliciously fruity delicious with that caramel and incense! This perfume is quite complex because it sometimes doesn't smell the same on me but I always love how it smells. This is the only gourmand fragrance I can wear because of the fruits and the smoke/incense. I have only received compliments on this, and it is very long lasting! Heaven in a bottle!

maimaibaby

My top 3. I don't really care about the hype or whatsoever. It's sweet, intoxicating, seductive, gourmand, long lasting 10h+, heavy sillage 2-3m. It's a hero. My signature scent for winter of all time.

jessicaimswang

This perfume is everything deliciously sweet and I love it for that.

I had it delivered to my office and I sprayed some on, my boss commented that it smells lovely and that it's warm and sweet❤️
On my skin I can't smell anything else but strawberries and coffee and I am so pleased because those are my two most favourite notes.

On my clothes I think that's when I can very distinctly smell the litchi/pear/passionfruit which is also deliciously sweet.

I would say it's pretty long lasting, I sprayed it when I got to work, and I could smell it even after I finished and went grocery shopping so that's about 8 hours.

Longevity - 8/10

For projection the fact that my boss could smell it and made a comment about it from across the room is pretty good, although I noticed after 4- 5 hours it turns into a skin scent. Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier definitely beats it in this fight.

Projection - 7/10

Nora Gad

To be honest, I think this perfume is overrated, and I couldn't adore it since it's too heavy and strong, with too many sharp notes like litchee, licorice, coffee, and incense.
I strongly advise against purchasing or gifting this perfume blindly.

rainydays

Sweet strawberry and praline with a touch of incense. The very subtle smokiness keeps this from venturing into shampoo-like territory (something that happens often with me and strawberry notes). Fruity yet cozy and warm. Maybe not best for HOT weather but suitable for spring as well as winter.

GUADELUPA

Attractive oriental, gourmet scent. Praline, caramel and vanilla supplemented with tangerine and bergamot. It's charming and mysterious fragrance for self-confident women. It's perfectly suitable for both nights and dating. Though La Nuit Tresor has the rich and dense base notes, it can be used in the summer as well. Summer nights provide strawberry and coffee notes which are a little bit hidden in the winter season. All notes complement each other perfectly. Famous La Nuit Tresor will always be one of my favorite fragrances!

Vanillastorm40

This and Olympea Legend are sisters. They are so similar. I've had LNT for some time now and I received my latest blind buy fail, Olympea Legend, today...they smell so similar. I feel like if you have one, you may not need the other and that is why buying Olympea was a fail for me. Not a fail because I don't like Olympea because I do like it, it's really beautiful actually. It's a fail because they're so much alike that I feel like I wasted money that could've been spent buying something else on my long want list. I think I prefer LNT. But they seriously smell so much alike. I'll be putting Legend on Mercari.

likesleet

fruity, sweet synthetic pear with brown sugar / caramel. natural escalation for college age/20s who have moved on from celebrity perfumes/mall body sprays, but still love identifiable fruit, vanilla, & gourmand-y scents

Alice611

This perfume is everything I want in scent..it’s sweet, sexy, sophisticated and edible.I get so many compliments when I wear this.it’s definitely more suited to winter and evening wear.bottle is so beautiful and a little goes a long way

alessandraj18

This is a Lancôme perfume done right! The right amount of sexy, mystery and flirty. The smell of strawberries, caramel and litchi are incredible! I blind bought a sample and absolutely love it!
9/10 for me

leenee

(I’m pretty sure I have the older formulation)
I just bought this last week and at first I couldn’t detect the strawberry note at all cause I’ve only ever smelled bright strawberry notes but this has a much darker tart strawberry note which cuts through the rich spicy caramel sweetness that the rest of this perfume is
it’s just so feminine, sweet, dark and sexy! the perfect mix
It immediately became my signature scent

I would definitely say it’s more appropriate to wear in the winter/fall though, and maybe summer and spring nights cause it’s definitely too heavy for a summer morning

fibuls

I just received this yesterday and I sprayed it on this morning. I did about 5 sprays. I went to work and one of my female coworkers asked "who smells like sweet fresh strawberries?" She was standing 15 ft away from me. Wow, this is a beast. We were in a cold air conditioned room. I do not smell the strawberries but I do get caramel and a whisper of the incense which I love. This dries down to a smoky, sweet dark incensy beauty. It does not have any ammonia or cat-piss stink which I always dread with heavier perfumes.

My bottle is from Jan 2022 and I noticed they took out the coffee and licorice notes from the new formulation. I would have loved the coffee note but I do not like licorice so it was fine with me. I still love it. I also have the dupe of it - La Rive Taste of Kiss - a less potent version and that is also a beauty! It is perfect for layering and topping up during the day. Taste of Kiss still has the coffee and licorice note in it per the La Rive website.

My only complaint is the bottle shape. The 3.4oz is so large that you have to use both hands to spray. Using one hand is impossible. It is a pretty bottle though, just not practical.

Edit: my coworker loved it so much that she's getting a bottle.

lavendarkitten

Smoky...strawberry...dark....love it. Def can smell the incense its soo beautiful. Everything oud satin mood is not.

I adore. Sexy, lovely, feminine, amazing. Will definitely become my signature perfume this fall. Wore it the other night (around 75 degrees) and was not cloying at all, even when it was a tad hotter. Kept getting wafts of it and falling more and more in love. Ordered a full bottle. I have the amber colored liquid, though. Some of the new pictures (like the one on here) makes the liquid in the bottle look pink. Not sure if they reformulated it or what. I hope not.

vintaqe

I absolutely hated this. It was a failed blind buy. I am not sure what the rave reviews are about. I adore niche fragrances and dark/mysterious fragrances such as Oud Satin Mood and Oud Bouquet, so it’s not that I can’t detect darker notes. This is just synthetic all around. I immediately returned it after 1 spray. The opening was the same throughout the entire experience. Just a synthetic mess. I went to my local Lancôme counter to smell their tester and it was the exact same. I don’t understand. Maybe I will eventually grow to like this as I despised Mugler Alien for the first few times I smelled it and eventually grew to like it, but with as many perfumes as I have in my collection I don’t need a perfume that I hate.

SmellyKelly.00

LNT is really a beautiful scent. My disappointment comes from not knowing it had been reformulated and receiving a newer bottle with the new notes. I purchased a bottle from the Lancome website and my bottle was from a batch made in Jan2022. The newer LNT doesn't have the same fruity/sweet opening as the original, it has a stronger rose/orchid scent- a bit dry or synthetic, I'm not sure how to explain it, and the base isn't as smokey, coffee, caramelly. The new LNT is still good and still is close to the original but its not what I thought I was going to get based on the sample I had.
According to the Lancôme website here are the new notes:

Top notes: Lychee, raspberry
Heart notes: Rose damascene essence, incense
Base notes: Vanilla orchid, praline, patchouli, papyrus

Zmart4ever

First of, this is nothing like the original Tresor, which I adore. This is very floral, a tad sweet, nothing extraordinary or memorable.
I’m gonna have to let it mellow and see what it does.

Yessamin

An aphrodisiac love potion composed of dark rose and vanilla orchid.

Veronika95

I still don't understand why there's not two different "profiles" for this perfume, since the original formulation is completely different from the current one

Zyta.id

This is a fail blind buy, i am very dissapointed. This smells exactly like sweet version of HEROCYN powder (asian medicated skin powder for skin rash or itchy skin). And this smells almost similiar to byredo rose noir too, but this is the sweeter version and more wearable.

sozyoldas

Absolutely delicious one, both wearable 7/24, classy, sexy, soft and feminine. Longetivity is quite low compared to other Tresors. But still, loooove it ! <3

lindsaybirddrums

SEXY SEXY SEXY!! This perfume is a beast! This lasts forever on my skin/clothes, a bit fruity off the top then deep dark, and seductive dry down! Absolute killer! 10000/10

PinkHydrangea

My go to cold weather perfume. Opening is floral but soon after patchouli and vanilla take the center stage. Sometimes I get a strong strawberry note in the opening and this has a tendency to smell a bit sour which I'm not a big fan of, but it disappears in less than 10 mins. Super long lasting, throughout the day sillage is about half an arm's length. Once it settles I get mostly patchouli, orchid and vanilla.
Not safe for blind buy.

furdekpetra

SUMMARY:
-NOT a safe blind buy, definitely do test before buying
-quite mature, I'd personally recommend this to someone 30/35+ and over
-beast performer

As a gourmand and sexy scent lover I bought the 50ml expecting a very sweet and smokey scent that opens a bit brighter and then settles down more dark and seductive. The fruits here aren't your typical sweet ones, the extremely faint hint of strawberry in this that I do get smells very sour so don't go into this one expecting a bright and sweet strawberry like the one in for an example Burberry Her. Honestly I can't detect the other fruits that are listed, to me it smells like passionfruit or something similar. This left me with a headache after the initial spray as it has that same bug spray quality as Angel Muse and other Mugler fragrances. My grandma surprisingly loved it🤷🏼♀️

Chanel de Lanvin

I had the opportunity to smell it in a sample, although I can wear so-called "feminine" perfumes, I find this one banal and without surprises.
I think people who wear it want something that's easy, that smells everywhere, and that your friends like, so there's no risk in wanting to buy it.
For me it will be something quickly forgotten.

abbieclark67

Great perfume!

Franci90

The opening is dominated by a sweet, ripe and delicious peach. Okay, there isn't any peach in the list, so I assume that there is an other fruit here that's giving me pachy vibe. For sure non the pear, the strawberry or the citruses. Maybe the passion fruit. Anyway, the opening is the best part. After a while, flowers emerged, even if they are always a step behind the fruit. mostly I perceive orchid as a faint mysterious and sensual touch. So all is fine until now, no? At this point things started to go down, unfortunately, in parallel with the rise of the base. Consider that the fruity opening is very sweet on its own, then vanilla arrives. Firstly ok. Then the parfum continues going sweeter, incresing sweet in the transition toward infamous patchouli-praline. At that point we've reached the sickeny sweet level .No, it is not my cup of tea anymore

seliko

i was looking for a less powdery version of Trésor Midnight Rose since lately it’s been hurting my throat, so i tried this… i guess since they are from the same family they are somehow similar, i wasn’t really able to tell from the first try though, la Nuit Trésor is creamier and also a little more fruit-forward. especially in the opening on my skin i could read the caramel note as well but it blended into the fragrance after a while. maybe i have an attachment to Midnight Rose because it used to be my signature but i wasn’t really able to see much more past a rather repeated scent profile, like an elevated body mist-perfume version of Trésor Midnight Rose… if that makes any sense

athomas

I think it is a scent you could use both daytime or nighttime. If by day, I think as long as it's minimal amount of spraying.
On me, after about 2 hrs passed since it was sprayed on my wrist, I smell something coconutty. But coconut is not listed here as one of the notes. Is it just me? Maybe a combination of certain notes leads it to smell slightly coconutty.
It is mildly sweet to my senses. Not cloying.
The perfume is ok, maybe not my cup of tea. It's nice, though - I can't completely dislike/knock it. It is somewhat interesting, but I guess just not my taste. I am thinking that perhaps I shall test it again someday; to see if 2nd time is a charm. In any case, it's an alright fragrance. I don't find it offensive, after all, I am considering to still give it another try someday.

TheSweaterGirl

La Nuit Tresor opens with a burst of fresh citrus, almost immediately deepened and enriched by rich passion fruit and rose aromas. I find the passion fruit strongly dominates the mid of this fragrance. Rose is the supporting player. I really have to even go looking for the rose to notice it after the first 40 minutes or so.

I find La Nuit is a passionfruit based fruitchouli. Every now and then I get whispers of the rose, vanilla, coumarin and incense. It may be the litchi is supporting the predominant passionfruit and adding to the overall tropical and fresh fruit vibe. Papyrus lends a smoky and woody touch. I don’t detect any praline/caramel/coffee/licorice whatsoever.

Nowhere near as sweet or dark as I expected from reviews.(This was a blind buy for me a month and a half ago) Nor do I find it as strong or long lasting as expected. Then again, I wear perfumes directly on my skin. I am sure the longevity is greater on clothing, as that is universally true. On skin I 3 good hours and then it becomes a skin scent for another 3/4 hours. Sillage moderate for 2 hours and then declines to rather intimate.

Overall I like it. It is pretty, pleasant, moderately complex. But not the show stopper I was hoping for. It has grown on me quite a bit, as initially I was disappointed. I do rather enjoy it for wearing at home for something fresh and light. But it doesn’t make the statement I want to make when I go out into the world😅. The dry down offers a sweet, patchouli incense haze, and if you really go looking for it, you may find the slightest hint of that otherwise absent nutty and sweet praline.

I usually wear a spray per wrist and 5 around my throat/chest. I may experiment with a heftier “dose” and see what that does for performance.

I see this fragrance as suitable for any season/time/occasion. Maybe not for the most elegant occasion, but almost any average situation, La Nuit would suit.

Moonwalk Memorie

As if pear, patchouli, rose, lychee and vanilla were lightly captured in a stick of incense. Not for me, as I expected my skin to project a decadent formula.

Kaylovely

Better than Attrape-Rêves by LV.. I love this. Get the preformulation bottle for the notes listed above. 2018 batch. Possibly 2019...

ms.ameerah

Skin chemistry matters

I really like how this smells on my clothes but on my skin, it falls flat, and the praline is more prominent.
This is a strawberry-passion-fruit-lichi praline eaten at a hookah lounge.

MochiCakes

The rose is like a kiss at the beginning and then it turns into a fruitchouli kinda smell with hints of syrupy caramel. It's an okay scent, not as sweet as some describe it. It does not last at all though with my body chemistry. I will be keeping the 1oz bottle, but will prob sell my unopened 1.7oz bottle. Its a scent definitely meant for layering to make it your own. If I mix with coconut I might like it a bit more to enhance the sweetness, like bath and bodyworks Coconut Cream Pie. If I want more of a floral touch, BBW Whipped Rose Latte.

AlinaCretu12

For me this is a strawberry-rose praline . More jammy strawberry , not fresh strawberry. Good for lasting.

Shiffy

*loves_shoes*

Tried this in the airport, this on one arm and the La Folie flanker on the other (which I own).
This has confirmed my choice; A La Folie is far superior to this one, both in terms of scent, projection, and longevity.
This has decent projection and longevity, but the scent isn’t as sweet, smooth, rounded or deep as A La Folie, which has something a bit spicier in it too.

Veronika95

If you're lucky enough to have the 2015 formulation hold onto it and never let go. That thing is intoxicating, sweet, yummy, absolutely delicious and it's a beast mode and I think it gets progressively stronger with age. I didn't think I'd ever find longer lasting perfume than Coco Mademoise. As far as latest formulation goes, I pretend it doesn't exist. Generic sweet perfume without anything interesting with average strength and longevity. When I opened it I thought for a minute I received fake, but it was from legit store and I quickly found out they completely changed the notes

gloriagilbert

If we wanted to describe Tresor La Nuit with only one adjective, this would certainly be "Fruitchouli".

This perfume has been described very well by all the reviews before mine: it is a beautiful fruity, which becomes sweet thanks to the notes of praline and patchouli, but without being annoying or cloying.

Although I’ve been over thirty for a while, I still like it a lot: I don’t see it as my daily signature, while I find it perfect to use in the evening or on special occasions, especially in winter (in summer I’m afraid it’s really too strong and stunning!).

If you like La Vie Est Belle and L'Interdit, you surely love Tresor La Nuit! And about duration and sillage? Photonic!

The bottle is also wonderful, I love it!

But, warning: when you have purchased it, you must use this perfume with a certain continuity as it tends to decay quickly: in fact, I, loving rotate between my perfumes, to avoid this problem I opted for a dupe version in oil by Arabian Opulence, so I can used for a long time without it going bad and therefore without guilt 😊

hattieskinner

My issue is you discontinued La Nuit Tresor and it's flanker A La Folie. It's literally the best two perfumes you guys ever made. I bought backups but after that it'll be expensive to find the only two perfumes I absolutely adore in the whole world. I don't think I will be able to justify buying anything for you again, and I can assure you that you had a lifetime customer and I'd buy multiple bottles of each every year. And I'm sure many others would too. Then there's the heartbreak of you not even releasing the newest flanker to the us. Why are you doing this? I can't find anything that compares. The dupes are letdowns. I get to see influencers reviewing something I was so excited to try but will never get the chance. These two perfumes were what made me fall in love with fragrances. I never knew I'd experience actual heartbreak over a perfume. Bring back La Nuit line and release the new flanker everywhere so everybody gets to have the opportunity to try it. This just isn't fair and I would never be able to forgive this company. I know I sound dramatic but this line makes me so happy and once my bottles are gone I'll never find something as amazing as this. I've bought 20 different fragrances and not one can even begin to compare. Not even La Vie Est Belle which is the original La Nuit's less dark sweeter cousin. It won't fix the craving because it lacks the darkness and depth of my beloved La Nuit line.

Shikin27

Just got this. Not sure which formulation this is but the lasting power is strong. It stayed on my clothes for the whole day til the next morn. I only purchased this cos in my counter La Nuit Caresse is no longer available. I read from reviews that they are similar and that is very true. Now that I have both I can compare. The difference is the beautiful dry down from Caresse. It's vanilla almond and it's just so gorgeous and yummy. So sad that it's been discontinued.

La nuit is beautiful too but Its linear to me. The top notes stayed throughout. I don't smell anything else. Lasting power and sillage is very impressive so that's awesome. Overall I'm very very happy with both my blind purchase.

SimonsTux

This fragrance is beauuuuutiful. It's sweet, very dark. I can't make out too many of the notes besides the rose in the heart and the incense that gives it depth. One of my favorites. I really recommend this and also the a la folie flanker!

Beware, it's very STRONG! Monster sillage and longevity. I could smell my own scent cloud throughout the entire work day. I oversprayed, next time maybe won't do that.

nandalyne

ruchikarawat31 You should go for the older ones as they are cleary denser and have better staying power. They have been watered down since 2018 (thank you, Loreal! 😡) so look for the batches prior to that year!

ruchikarawat31

I am planning to buy this perfume, I check batch numbers in the shop they had ones from - July 2019, November 2020, June 2021. Which one should I buy? Does the fragrance change over time? Does it go bad?

lex11

It was just the perfect fragrance - truly felt like me. I´m SO sad it reformulated a few years ago - it lost all the coffee, smoky and praline notes imo. :( Now it's just a confuzed Tresore Midnigt Rose. Doesn't evolve as much either the complexity of earlier nonexistent. I´ve been trying to replace it for years now but haven't found something as mysterious, unique and sexy as the original La Nuit. If anyone has any recommedations that don't include anything Black Opium, Versace Black Diamond, and anything else Lancome - hit me up.

Own: YSL Mon Paris, Dolce & Gabana The Only One 2, Armani My Way Intense, Ariana Grande Cloud, La Rive Taste of Kiss and nothing compares.

NoorbBelgium

Very strong, Smokey, and deep amber vanilla fragrance for women with the opening notes of pear, bergamot, tangerine. The heart consists of the vanilla orchid, strawberry, passionfruit, and black rose while the dry down is all about the caramel, praline, vanilla, litchi, coffee, incense, coumarin, Licorice, and papyrus. The orchids and incense in this are very pleasant and charming and it tends to seduce and hypnotize with its magic and makes you spellbound to wear it again and again. Moderate silage and longevity is there in this and thus I need to respray it every now and then. But considering the cost, I am sort of fine with it. I love the scent and the bottle too. Magical!

DJoy27

Oh wow-this is like POAL eating a tart, creamy raspberry cheesecake. I love POAL too, but I really appreciate the creamy sweetness in this. It’s a sexy, fun scent. I enjoy every stage of it too, on me it’s jammiest in the beginning with darkness and depth still, then a sweet, slightly lactonic caramel shows slowly emerges That sexy darkness stays through out. I will most definitely be wearing this on date nights and special outings. Love!

Gioia's secret

@fenissa I know for 100% that I have an original one, not a fake! It simply loses the beauty of top notes right after an hour and then you are left with boring cheap sweet smell, as I have noticed before, it simply has bad performance.
Honestly, I am shocked that here whoever can accuse you for owning a fake bottle, this is so inappropriate, I don’t need to explain myself to you, but just for your knowledge I have bought it from the official store, moreover, I am not a person who have ever bought something from online stores like Notino, or like those who are buying used bottles from eBay!
I have never liked Tresor, LVEB, Idole, I was always surprised that they have great ratings, reviews and tons of mentioning on YT by obviously paid perfume bloggers. So la nuit Tresor was the first perfume from Lancôme that I have liked at least and it came out that I liked it for its top notes which disappears so quickly! So I think perfume that disappoints you is much worse than the one that you don’t like from the beginning!

TheFancyNancy

Black Opium's sexy, mature older sister. This perfume is a massive confidence booster. Wear it to know that you're THAT bitch.

On my skin chemistry it has a dirty note when first sprayed, but this quickly dries down to a sweet, smoky rose.

Coffeeandscents

The opening is a sweet blast of strawberries mixed with a fresh lychee note - making it sweet and a little sour. As you wear this on your skin it becomes a very sweet syrupy vanilla, strawberry, rose and caramel scent. There is a note that is making this deeper than just a sweet sugar scent. I think it could be the incense and patchouli. I do not smell coffee/ I wish I did.

Monke go brr

This is like 1:1 mix of JPG La Belle with YSL Black Opium but more youthful.

Basically Black Opium but more candy sweet.
I think it's nice, but it's definitely overpriced.

Gioia's secret

This is the worst perfume purchase I have ever made, here is why:
Almost every perfume blogger was praising this one, I think here Lancôme has made a wonderful marketing job!
So in my mind’s eye I was already loving and admiring it, so when I came to the perfume store I have tested on the blotter, and yes! It smelled so mesmerising, so I have bought it straight away!
But how I was disappointed when I came home and sprayed it all over myself, the beautiful scent has lasted ONLY ONE HOUR, and after that it smelled as a very cheap boring sweet perfume, that reminded me a perfume for kids, or someone will call it a grandma perfume. So the only thing that you wanna do is to scrub it off!
Why none of the bloggers have ever mentioned its lasting power and its transition to cheap sweet smell? Even Cinderella was warned that the magic will last till the midnight! 🤷🏻♀️

saman_812001

I love this sweet caramel smell. in summer can have a better Sillage. however it rarely stays on me or on my clothes. I purchased it at least 4 times, but i always get disappointed with the longevity.

alannawangoom

Ladies, I know this one is kinda old but it is still great! When I wear this fragrance, I get compliments from left to right. It’s sweet yet also fresh and fruity at the same time. It has a sexiness about it which I like but at the same time it’s elegant. I think this is my new favourite fragrance.

hazi

I think it reformule because it used to be an intense, deep, unique rose scent. Even a single spray would smell throughout the day, but the bottle I just bought is like a watered-down incense flower scent. It smells like coca cola spilled in an ashtray. I am so sorry that they reformulated such a beautiful perfume and ruined it. it used to be a hypnotic and intense-sweet scent, now it's not

rosesfromars

Me in a bottle. My signature scent.
Never smelled anything more dark and seductive but also very basic, sweet. It's so playful. Compliment getter definitely. One guy asked me "What's that smell? Sorry for bothering but I must admit I never smelled a perfume like this on a girl. It's usually some strong flowers and citrus. You really drow my attention, it's beautiful."

Chellywellie

Very very sweet, syrupy and almost boozy rose. I’m not a fan of usual rose but I can handle this version of it. It almost reminds me of Chambord liqueur in a lot of ways, if Chambord was made from lychee instead of raspberries. It’s nicely blended and projects decently.

cherryontop

I’m so upset! I tested this in Selfridges and loved it - it smelt like a sweet fluffy caramel dream. Purchased a full bottle, now smells like soured raspberry squash. Think the papyrus/incense is throwing me off also. ☹️
