Eclat d’Arpège by Lanvin is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women. Eclat d’Arpège was launched in 2002. The nose behind this fragrance is Karine Dubreuil-Sereni.

Eclat d’Arpège is classified as fruity-floral. Lanvin revives the musical theme of his legendary Arpege perfume. The composition is delicate, fragile and angelic. Eclat d’Arpège’s first accords are green lilac and Sicilian lemon leaves which transports us to the first day of spring. Summer’s near , flowers are in full bloom, the scent is more intense, it’s a wisteria blossom that blooms at perfume’s heart, accentuated by lush peach blossom and sensual red peony. Airy green tea leaves are refreshing. The base’s white cedar of Lebanon, gentle musk and precious amber are like an enveloping caress. The nose behind Eclat d’Arpège is Karine Dubreuill who created this perfume in 2002.

I like how it smells, but I don't feel it on myself at all right after spraying. In same time got compliment from a man that "this perfume smells like a baby". Person was just passing by me and it was around 2 hours after I applied perfume, he was asking what fragrance is this and where I purchased it.

Jordan 99

This is very weak, not worth of purchase. I like fresh fruity florals, but this doesn’t work for me at all. Ostmanthus is making it bit heavier, leathery, wisteria adds to it something weird…. Nope.

jdluvz

Lanvin Eclat d'Arpege is a big fail! Like what is this? Total waste of money! Leaves an oily residue and no scent. I get that this is a delicate, fragile, and angelic fragrance, but where is the fruity floral scent? There's nothing! I dont even have covid, never had one, so my sense of smell is great. My nose is even sensitive to gourmand or heavy/strong fragrances. This is just water with alcohol and oil.

Bought my bottle from the department store, so I'm sure it's legit. I even macerated it for 2 months. I believe this has been poorly reformulated. We've all been fooled by the brand.

Abercrombie & Fitch Authentic Woman smells similar, but stays on skin and clothes for a good 1 hour. A better option in my opinion because Eclat d'Arpege is really a non-existent scent to me. I'll never repurchase and I don't recommend this at all!

Cherryz

This is what angels and pure souls smell like. Ethereal, mysterious and angelic. So comforting. Truly one of the most beautiful scents, but lasts only 30 min on me which makes it wearable only at home and when I'm alone. The strong alcohol blast in the beginning makes it a bad candidate for reapplying anywhere near other ppl.

So, I have been home alone many times now, always trying to make the scent last. I have failed every time, even if I spray it so much that I have a visible layer of oil over my skin. I love it so much, but it doesn't work. It won't last no matter what I do. It's clear now that this perfume, performance wise, is worse than the cheapest body sprays I've ever tried.

It goes well with Elizabeth Arden Green Tea body mist though, but be aware that the body mist is much stronger and lasts way longer - you'll have to use double or triple the amount of Eclat to smell the combo.

mirrorghost

this opens with lilac, tea and wisteria. it's a dewy spring floral. later i get the peony, peach and osmanthus which sweetens up the scent, and at this point it's tea, peach and a slightly sharp floral quality. this one is ok, but i think the peony just tends to give this sort of sharp aquatic quality that i don't enjoy. other than that, the other notes are really pretty.

Yuyulia

Very fresh, flowery, green fragrance. Liliac is definitely dominant. Despite some reviews i find it lasts forever, i spray quite a lot, though. Specially if sprayed on hair or clothes will stay for a couple of days. Summer/spring daytime fragrance. Good for the office.

Chunkanela

This is very clean, green and fresh however it does not last at all

Maya lilac

Lanvin’s Eclat d’Arpege was one of my first perfumes that I have been gifted when I have first gotten into perfume. It was advertised to feature a beautiful lilac note and I always loved lilacs. It’s still my most favourite flower!

It was fairly affordable back then as it is now. I wore it through my high school years and I have very fond memories of it. Nostalgia…

I absolutely adore all the notes listed in this composition not just the lilac. It’s a fresh flower scent with green touches. Wisteria, peonies, lilac, osmanthus, peach blossoms is smoothly blended with green tea, petit grain, musk and cedar. I would say amber it’s not present on my skin at all.

For me, Eclat d’Arpege is more of a fresh, delicate, spring flowers bouquet with a strong, white, clean musky base. Ultra feminine, young and flirty!

It’s a good everyday perfume for spring and summer season, nothing too special or strong, but really pretty and pleasant smelling in my opinion. As long as one is interested in flowers, I can’t possibly see anyone being offended or disliking it. I will admit that today, after having and testing soo many fragrances, this is not as good as I thought back in my high school days it is!
But because of my history with Eclat (and nostalgia), I will probably always have a bottle in my collection to revisit from time to time..

Performance wise, again, nothing impressive. It’s mainly a floral blend without featuring any heavy, deep, rich notes. On clothes I get about five to six hours wear if I’m overspraying, on skin half of that. Sillage is intimate, unless I’m getting a hug, nobody is going to notice it!
I know back in the days the performance was better, never a beast though, so I assume that throughout the twenty years of life, it was reformulated and watered down like most of the 2000’s classics have been..

obsession33

I like this smell, it'has a great balance: it clearly smelling but not tooo much. It is perfect for spring and for daytime. Anytime I sprayed it, it feels so fresh and pleasant. It's totally ok for blind buy but be aware that it will not last too long.

bonniherself

One of the few perfumes I've owned where I used the entire bottle and had to replace it. I like the whole structure of this, honestly, but for me, the lilac and peony are perfect, and I really do smell the tea note, which is unusual for me (normally, any note of "tea" just disappears). Good everyday fragrance, nothing too unusual or striking, but pretty and pleasant. I also find that this has a limited sillage and sits close to the skin (at least on me), so it's good to wear when I don't want my perfume to overpower. I will probably keep buying this as long as they make it, quite honestly.

Jeff Shin

The scent of my first gf in high-school. Will always occupy a little part of my heart.

paupadua

Fresh, clean, floral and musky scent. I first used this during my mid 20's bar hopping and nightlife as it has this party vibe in it. Still loving.

CosyCattleya

Exactly like PrincessKitana says. I went to Sephora because I ran out of DG Light Blue Intense and wanted something new. A woman who works there recommended this and I love it! It's nice, fresh, and clean like Light Blue Intense, but it has a more sweet, playful, and feminine touch. It's not the same perfume, but it has the same vibe. I love them both!

PerfumeSally

Britney Spears Curious, exact match. Overpowering smell like a heavy handed child with access to hairspray. I usually love a light floral but this is reminiscent of middle school. Smells like a cheapie. A blind buy regret. Will be regifting

heartstopss

i wasn’t sure what i thought of this at first, but the more i wear it the more i like it, lately it’s all i want to wear. it smells like watery fruity flowers to me. perfect for spring but it’s pretty enough to wear any time

PrincessKitana

Ok, now with this scent never could I imagined there would be a person who genuinely dislikes it ! Looking at the comments i see i was wrong:))
To me this scent is like an ice cube melting on skin so refreshing it is. It’s blended so well that i couldn’t ever picked up exactly what flowers it reminded me of. Now looking at the pyramid i get it. I do get greenness and peony and lilac, the peony and lilac are not sweet or cloying. Its more like freshly cut flowers with stems under melting ice. I’m getting the comparison with DG Light Blue, due to its freshness, but the scents itself are not similar at all. DG is obviously mainly citrusy scent with white flowers, while Arpege is - flowery and no citruses at all. I would compare it more to Versace Bright Crystal or Chanel Chance eau fraiche and eau tendre, though not being exactly like that too.
To me it’s such an inoffensive refreshing likeable scent. For the ones who loves freshies like Chanel Chance line, Bright Crystal, DG Light Blue etc it will be a secure blind buy imo.
9/10 for a creation from this family scents for me

vonevol

It's beautiful, fresh, delicate, feminine, adult woman sweet, not teenage girl sweet. Will get a bigger bottle.

hwhatever

Wore it today for the first time ever.
Found this perfume after looking for something similar to Dali Little Kiss, which has sadly been discontinued. And while it's nothing like Little Kiss...I'm in love! It's the embodiment of that first real day of spring when the flowers are all nearly in bloom, the air is light, you've had your windows open all day and have just put away your winter coats. The sillage is weak, it's scented-lotion-level sillage, perhaps it would last longer applied over an unscented lotion. However, with this type of scent, a stronger formulation would ruin it, I think. Overall recommend.

saramariah

I bought this on an impuls about 10 years ago. I was first drawn to the bottle but then also really liked the scent. I wore it a lot but when it ran out i didnt buy a new one cause i had other perfumes that i moved on to. But it always stuck in the back of my mind. And today i finally ordered one :) Im so exited to wear it again and i hope i like it as much as i remember!

karluvmost

I love this perfume, I can never get enough of smelling it. It's fresh, but also a bit "powdery" in a way? (I don't know how to say it, but basically it isn't only fresh, but a bit "deep" too) At first, it smells fresh, green and very like lilac. Then the peaches and tea appear and in the base, you can smell lilac, peony and some musk. I usually don't like musk in perfumes, it's too heavy, but in this perfume it's composed really well and it definitely isn't suffocating. It just smells exactly like the color it is, light violet. It also somehow smells calming.

And even though it isn't extremely strong (but it's not weak either too), it lasts really long, both on skin and on clothes. On my wrists I could still smell it after two days and on clothes, I can still smell it after a week.

It's the perfect smell for summer. Also very good price.

Acid210

This is a floral, more subtle, feminine version of D&G light blue minus the strong lemon/citrus opening.
Very pretty, not too sweet, non-offensive, great scent for a very hot day. It won't choke anyone or cause headaches. I took this fragrance on beach vacations countless times. The only issue for me was that it didn't last more than 2 hours.

Abufahdhilali

1 to 1 clone Narjis Alrehab

MySkin

Timeless fragrance.
Fresh, green and sparkly.
Good projection and longevity.
All year round scent, I prefer the Sheer version more in summer.
But overall it's pleasing, clean, uplifting, you can't go wrong with it.
I always have a bottle of it and the Sheer one too.

majestyofthenight

It was my childhood perfume
I liked no perfume but this, my Aunt used this for a while and I was literally so jealous that I wanted this perfume for myself too bad, but I was little so I couldn't make my parents buy it. In my opinion it has a unique floral scent that is so comforting

saho93

I thought it would be completely floral, but it is, to my nose, fruity floral. It’s a pretty feminine perfume. D&G Light Blue intense is very slightly similar to this.

While it is a nice perfume, I thought I would get lilac-dominant scent.

The small 1 oz bottle is really cute.

scentedstickerz

I got a sample of this and loved it and bought the bottle, but for some reason by the time I got the full size it seemed very generic to me. I really liked how green it was the first time I tried it, it seemed like such a perfect combination of things I was looking for - fresh, floral, clean, and green. I tried Halloween Kiss Sexy Halloween after getting the Lanvin sample, hearing that the Halloween scent was a perfect dupe, but that seemed slightly more basic to me, and maybe when I got my Lanvin full bottle that's all I could smell. It kindof ruined it for me.

I might revisit this in the spring and summer, though! It was pretty good.

Andy224

There’s nothing really special about this scent. Smells good but too generic and nothing groundbreaking. It doesn’t even last much. Not worth it.

evavidal62

This is more like a light body mist than a perfume. Beautiful presentation. It was saying 'buy me' blindly at the CVS I walked into. It's in a glass case like if it was a precious museum artifact. You buy the perfume and buy the glass case to bring home. The case gets annoying to put together when you open and close it so I threw it away. This scent is soft, fresh and floral. It starts off with a resemblance to Marc Jacobs Daisy. So if you like Daisy and floral perfumes that are 'safe' and soft not too strong then this fragrance is definitely for you. The lemony note comes from the petitgrain. It's mood lifting, a pick me up energizing citrus opening. Then it turns floral with a few combos of flowers like lilac and peony. It's sweet and not a headache inducing floral at all. Sits close to the skin and becomes very much like a part of your skin. The base notes are not all detectable in the dry down. I don't get amber it's mostly the wood note and a really soft white musk. At times it's got 'scented beads for your bath' kind of vibes. It's innocent and girly but grown up at the same time. It's a very pretty perfume but it doesn't last no more than 1 or 2 hours. Like I said a kind of body mist. It's good to wear after your shower and when you want to smell clean but not make a statement. It's good for wearing every day when you go out and just want to smell clean. It's good for wearing at work & definitely office type of perfume. For the working class woman like a public school teacher or in my case a yoga instructor. Unless a person is right next to your face and neck it's not gonna stand out or project. Beautiful delicate little perfume. Spring and summer are the best times to wear it because it is very cool and fresh and a little teensy bit aquatic but more like rain drops rain drops on flowers. Mmmm. Delicious.

buonobi

One of the most mass-appealing fragrances in the world.
U can wear this all-yr-round. Fresh, feminine and airy floral.
Moderate performance.

Ultraben10

Starts out bright and fresh. I find the dry down settles into a screechy version of D&G l’imperatrice.

torres_jake

This is one of my go-to summer fragrances; I enjoy wearing this and Chanel No. 5, even though they are women-targeted perfumes. I like how this makes me feel when I'm wearing it. It's very fresh and clean, somewhat synthetic-smelling, but that doesn't really bother me. This made me feel calm and happy the first time I smelt it.

The longevity isn't that good, around 4-5 hours; luckily, it's inexpensive, so I don't mind re-spraying from time to time. It also doesn't project much, but I'll definitely keep on repurchasing this whenever my bottle runs out.

yenmuico

one of the best ones i've ever smelled. i have no complaints. smells delicate and elegant. it's non-offensive and very feminine. clean girl aesthetics.

riamcajucom

It's fruity floral but nothing like I smelled before. It has a very fresh, feminine and unique smell.

Dinodiane

Green and bitter blind buy. Smells slightly of a non-specific floral on paper but only lemon and ceder on skin. Not a good lemon either. or ceder at that. Shocked how harsh it smells. Maybe it has be reformulated?

bleuetfane

Very delicate, very watery floral; if I had to guess I’d say I get the most of peony, but they’re all kind of jumbled together; there’s something a bit damp, as well, which reminds me of tea scented wipes. It’s youthful, it’s inoffensive, it’s light, it would make a great school or office scent, but it’s not my favourite.

blambodee

Smells incredibly fresh, like a sweet iced tea in summer as you chill on the balcony. It activates more as you sweat. It doesn't stay long, however, and goes away in about 3hrs or so. I love it nevertheless.

AquaRegia

Eclat d’Arpège by Lanvin, a floral fruity fragrance, unfolds a delicate, angelic composition. Picture the fragility of blossoms, the fleeting beauty of spring captured within a bottle. Its opening reveals green lilac and Sicilian lemon leaves—a journey to the first day of spring. As summer approaches, flowers bloom, intensified by the heart's wisteria blossom, lush peach blossom, and sensual red peony. A breeze of airy green tea leaves refreshes the senses.

The base, a blend of white cedar of Lebanon, gentle musk, and precious amber, envelopes like a caress. Imagine wearing the essence of a delicate bloom, a fragrance that mirrors the ethereal charm of fairies. Perfect for springtime days, Eclat d’Arpège easily transitions into a daily companion. Its ultra-feminine floral and fruity essence resonates with a sense of enchantment. Safe and inoffensive, it's a fragrance welcomed in any scenario, an embodiment of elegance and delicacy that leaves a trace of spring's eternal beauty.

missingbonnet

Couldn't smell anything from it. I sprayed it all over my jacket. Sometime later I could smell something sweet and fresh, it was this perfume coming off my jacket. Comes off as a barely there scent when applied

Florabeth

Of all the perfumes I've ever own, this is the most complemented one. It is simply beautiful. Lilac wisteria peony and tea, but not too soapy as some lilac interpretations can be. I'd say it's one of the safest blind buys I can recommend. It would suit a woman of any age, young or old. Quintessential spring scent of flowers after a late April shower. One of the few perfumes I will always replace once the bottle is used up

PorcelainDolly2003

Really clean , fresh scent, almost doesn't smell like a perfume but rather clean clothes. It is very floral wich I like but it is pretty boring and not unique

rose4franc

I have had a sample of this for a while and it held up. In three words: lilac, peony, tea. It's very fresh, NATURAL and light. For an EDP it has the potential to be overwhelming but performs like an EDT with lasting power. The Peach Blossom solely makes it sweeter. So wearable, safe, not at all soapy as lilac has that reputation to be. Do not douse yourself, it's meant to be worn alone, classy and not layered with something lesser. When it dries down it smells more mature. I like how green, yet brisk, this feels with osmanthus, cedar, petitgrain and tea leaf (all there) but not grassy as it retains it's peony, wisteria and peach blossom florals. The musk gives it a dewy atmosphere. For the spring and fall and not intense temperatures.

kittenpawz

I'm halfway through my 30ml bottle and got 100ml. This is such a comforting scent. If you were unfortunate enough to have tried perfumes that make you feel anxious and uneasy, this is the opposite. The scent of a soft life, of relaxation, May to early June, light breeze, sunrise or sunset, resting in your garden and listening to birds sing. Hard to pick up individual notes which is what I absolutely love in perfumes - it makes them smell mystical and divine. Refreshing in a gentle way for warmer seasons but I also love it for the seasons of withering and gloom that are fall & winter, works like aromatherapy and brings the feeling of spring/summer peace. It's very "green". White musk in Eclat is inoffensive and soft. If that's what boring smells like I'm okay with that - stability and relaxation *are* boring in a way. To rate only the scent itself without taking value for money and qualities like projection and staying power into account - it's 10/10.

It's very intimate but stays on skin for a decent period of time. Had it been more concentrated it would have smelled sharp. Again take Bright Crystals for example - similar scent profile but they get called loud/screechy/detergent-like in every other negative review. And they are also cold fragrances. This one is merely chill like a summer breeze.
I guess it varies from country to country but I'm under the impression that Lanvin is not a super luxurious brand like Tom Ford or Chanel and stores often have their perfumes on sale. You can get Lanvin for cheap. If you use perfumes as aromatherapy sometimes, I recommend getting to experience Eclat d’Arpège.

Amethystery

Truly an ethereal scent. Do you remember in the Tinkerbell movies, when they went to the mainland and all the fairies magically defrosted the city gardens to turn winter into spring? That's what this scent reminds me of; a dormant garden brought to life by spring rain and sunshine. It's not sharp nor too sweet, just the perfect watery floral fragrance I've been looking for. The tea note in this scent is reminiscent of an Elizabeth Arden fragrance with a soft floral touch, which I do not mind at all. Can't wait to wear this next spring!

LadyT33

I first smelled this perfume on a woman when I was eating lunch in a Thai restaurant. I boldly asked her what perfume she was wearing. She pulled out a bottle of this from her purse. I don’t like the way it smells on me when I initially spray it. After it settles and dries down it’s better. I bought it to wear in the Spring, since I love the scents of lilacs, lilies and hyacinth. Those flowers remind me of Easter when I was a child. I also love peonies. It’s a very girlish perfume. Girlish, but not in a juvenile way. Girlish in the way that Eau Tendre makes me feel. It’s flirty, but not in a vulgar way. Sweet.

Sillykn

Ethereal fresh floral that smells both green and purple. Easy to wear and elegant just wish it lasted longer. Ran out of it last year but haven't felt the urge to repurchase for some reason.

M4rkéta

I wore it multiple times yet have no idea what it smells like. I just know it's watery and way too expensive.

Noemimeew

💲I purchased mine on Ebay for $25 as an unused tester EDP 3.4oz without the cap.
👃 The notes as listed on my perfume bottle- Top: Lilac leaves & Sicilian lemon | Heart: Green Tea Leaves & Peach Tree Leaves | Base: Lebanese White Cedarwood & White Musk
I am proud of myself for finding this floral gem. I usually seek out the sweet scents, so I did a lot of research in order to hone in on this floral candidate. This was a blind buy for me and it turns out I love it. It smells classy & elegant.
This is how I described it to my sistahs:
It’s made in France- Ooh fancy. It literally smells like a clean older lady, but not that obnoxious old lady strong perfume. It smells like some kind of freshly cut, long-stem flower. I think someone classy but youngish with an old soul would wear it - like Anne Hathaway would like it. It’s a scent for delulu girls like me on days that I am a wanna-be forest fairy in a flowy dress. Or for you = the plant-caring , bread-baking, sustainable fashion wearing, kind soul.
I perceive it as being zesty, limey, but not a straight citrus, because it’s also floral & very feminine. I see why people describe it as being in the realm of Dolce & Gabana, Light Blue. It is because it is lemoney with some kind soft kind of ..uhhh powderiness/cloudiness to it. I would put it in the same category as Sara Jessica Parker’s, Lovely. The type of scent that is; Pretty, delicate, petal rich, & a tad like it could be a handcrafted soap.

natasha28

Elcat eprege LavinI like it, it smells a lot like D&G Light Blue with the lemon citrus. It's arms length. The bottle is very beautiful with the gem on-top. It's probably good for spring summer daytime. Last a decently long time over 12 hours but sits close to the skin. Once it's been dried down for a few hours, it smells a bit like Anna Sui's butterfly perfume in the link bottle. It's a nice perfume so I can see why ppl like it, but I wouldn't buy it or keep if gifted. Light Blue is much more potent so I would go for that if I wanted the citrus scent. Good value for the price on discount retailers.

an_baum

tea-watery lilac, then blurry, melancholic florals. a sense i've fallen asleep in yesterday's clothes, or trying to read in low lighting. a fragrance to wear after crying.

Lasketti12

"Eclat d'Arpege by Lanvin is a gentle and innocent fragrance that opens with a delicate burst of green lilac. The subtle hints of peach blossom add a touch of sweetness, while the musk undertone leaves a lasting, enchanting impression. Truly a scent that embodies elegance yet stays gentle.

AgataO

It was a blind buy for me - and it is an OK perfume, with a very poor longevity on my skin at least - I can not smell it after an hour (people with better smell sense can detect it on me for a little bit longer, but not by much)
The scent is nice, fresh and I feel the best use will be at home or perhaps for a walk on hot days - and I bought it cheap enough for me not to regret it, but I will not buy it for a second time.
The people wit a sensitivity to smells can perhaps try it out - it really is a very subtle scent.

Smeraldina77

This is a pretty lovely perfume! It reminds a bit of Chance Eau Tendre EdT, but with added purple flowers. Is soft, musky, floral, with a bit of a creamy, fruity tone probably given by the osmanthus. I got at a very super affordable price and I blind bought it because I was looking for a wisteria scent, one of my favourite flowers. The wisteria is definitely noticeable, but it is not the most prominent note. Actually, I find this fragrance very well blended. It is perfect for spring and summer and I love to wear it as a bedtime scent since it is soft and calming. Longevity on me is very good, more than 6 hours, while sillage is quite moderate. You can find it at discounters for very very affordable prices and, for this reason, I believe it could be an alternative to more expensive fragrances as Chance Eau Tendre or Mojave Ghost.

kittenpawz

Eclat d’Arpège impressed me right away. It's such a beautiful and delicate scent of a forest fairy, or perhaps even a mermaid since it smells a bit aquatic to me. Very fantasy-like as well as clean, youthful and classy. This is what light purple color smells like. I'm surprised Bright Crystal/Bright Crystal Absolu are not in the "reminds me of" section because they are definitely similar, especially in the dry down. Eclat is more green and flowery whereas Bright Crystals are more aquatic and fruity but it's the same scent profile, and they all have this soapy cleanness to them (Eclat least of all).

I suppose I'll just accept that a gentle and innocent scent like this can't have anything close to beast-mode performance. Almost all perfumes are usually present on my skin since the first spray and until I go to bed - I hardly ever reapply. But with Eclat I reapplied 2 times in half a day. It becomes a skin scent so quickly and after a while can be smelled only if you press your nose against the perfumed spot. I'd be lying if I said I don't find it irritating. On the other hand, Versace's Bright Crystals have excellent performance but feel somewhat sharp to many, due to that very fact no doubt. Eclat is just a harmless darling.

Year-round scent, mood enhancer, bedtime perfume; it's good for anything from running errands to a romantic walk in the moonlight. That is, if you don't mind it taking French leave much too soon. But oh well, the light and tiny bottle fits so well in a lady's purse.

alice_w

A versatile fragrance that is my all-time favourite. It is easy to wear, pleasant, sweet, but also special and elegant. It suits both a casual day and a working day. I used to get compliments from my boyfriend, friends and even strangers with this one on. I've already finished a 50ml bottle and have bought a second bottle.

otterfaces

I absolutely adore this, but it disappears within the hour! If this performed better I would wear it all Spring, but as it is, it’s a before-bed fragrance only (and it still usually fades away before I fall asleep).

If you are tired of any other frag in your collection, this guy is a perfect one to grab
Max inoffensive scent, i am not sure who could complain on that, if only people loving heavy, "i am here" like perfumes :DD

tilly21

Well-balanced, inoffensive, clean scent for everyday, year-round use. It's a soft and fresh, kind of like a "my skin but better" smell of having just stepped out of the shower. Definitely not the most unique or flashy scent, but surprisingly I've gotten the most compliments on it out of all the perfumes I've ever worn in my life.

left2foot

I bought this for the lilac. My favorite flower scent. My parents had some lilac bushes and this lets me remember them when I wear it.

ReginaQ

I love this fragrance! So delicate and romantic, like a long poem you won't want it ends. One of my absolute favorite. Please don't discontinue it!

barry1052

A very good everyday scent!!! inoffensive office friendly suitable for warmer months

Erika.Lane

This was so strong on me, like hairspray synthetic florals or cleaning chemicals. I thought it would be a beautiful floral. Maybe it just didn't work on my skin.

AnlisaC

Hot day here in NY and this is amazing! I enjoy this in the summer and it’s fresh light and so pretty. This is an anybody scent and leaves a slight sillage that works for daytime summer. Light floral and very purple flower is in the notes and sillage. I don’t get too much peach, and I love peach in fragrance. I will be wearing this all summer long. Recommended 10/10

This is one of the most popular fragrances for years in my region, and now I see why :)
It wraps you into a natural flowery, fresh and sparkling spring. Gives you after a bath feeling. No artificial notes and no soap. The notes come in a beautiful soft accord, well-balanced, with no separate sharp notes. It can suit both young girls and wise ladies: we all enjoy blossoming spring :) Small holiday every day :)

Lunar_Bunny

Something in the smell of this is soooo addictive to me. I sometimes hear people say that this smells generic, but to my nose theres something really different from other fresh florals and I can't quite put my finger on it. I think it's probably the wisteria note, or it might be the lilac, but I have been absolutely obsessed with this perfume for the last two years. It's like catnip for me, I absolutely adore it.

Danitonic

denkamiko

love this! a delicate scent perfect for after a shower. poor longevity, i prefer to use it at night close to bed time.

Filolek3037

Got this from my boyfriend. I‘m very picky with my perfumes and I always find something I don‘t like or I just get bored after a while. But with this one he was spot on!! Fresh, sweet citrus with a pinch of flowers. Very cute, feminine and a bit sexy. I just wished it was more potent. Similar to D&G light blue but without the masculine note.

Evazar

This perfume was used by my mother, so it gives me nostalgic feelings. It is a feminine and elegant fragrance that is perfect for everyday use. It has a pleasant blend of tea leaves, lilac and osmanthus.

Hayaad

Thank you all who made good reviews about this little gem. I was searching for a green scent for the spring, and somebody mentioned that EA has the same vibes as Chanel chance Eau tender, which has been my signature scent for the last decade. Which was absolutely true. The both are beautiful and innocent fragrances, and they have similarities, which strangely I couldn’t find in the listed notes rather than the musk, cedar and amber. While it has something common with D&G It reminds me also of Orchid bloom by Zara.
From the first spray I could smell the osmanthus, I could smell violet as well. EA is well blended, fresh, clean and uplifting perfume. It’s joyful and flirty, best for spring and summer nights. With the first sniff, my holiday to Italy 7 yrs ago came to my mind where Chanel tendre was my travel companion by then. It was a safe blind but and I can say it’s a pleasant for any age. It’s a femininity in a bottle.
The only con is the performance, I can’t stop sniffing my wrist.

LUSH LILAC Odyssey - the scent of spring renewal. This classic lilac scent, signed by perfumer Karine Dubreuil-Sereni (Gucci Envy Me Gucci), opens with a burst of soft green lilac with cedar nuances, and continues into a fresh, fluffy, float-y heart with airy, velvety & whipped-violet nuances all resting on a musky cedar base. As is dries down, in the air it takes on a fluffy, floaty, velvety & whipped quality from wisteria & osmanthus that elevates the lilac, while on the skin I get a tea note coming out with green dewdrop & honey-peach nuances.

Contrast to Light Blue Dolce&Gabbana:
These are different, but there is a similar vibe with a well-blended and floaty fruity-floral punctuated with a citrus note. Eclat d'Arpege leans more violet, while Light Blue leans more citrus-aromatic. Eclat has superior performance, especially layered over its matching body lotion.

Contrast to Primrose English Laundry:
These are different, but Primrose shares the same vibe of floaty fruity-floral punctuated with a citrus note. Primrose leans more violet-blackcurrant than violet-lilac. Performance is equivalent to Eclat d'Arpege and superior to Light Blue.

Contrast to Cheap & Chic I Love Love Moschino:
These is a similar vibe, but I Love Love is more mandarin forward. I Love Love has better performance but lacks the fluffy, floaty nuance.

Contrast to Bel Azur Tory Burch:
EdA is more similar to Bel Azur than Light Blue is imho. EdA leans a little more fruity-violet, but the overall vibe with opening and drydown is similar with lush sweet-water that isn't the cold-waters of the Light Blue range. Performance is about equivalent in these two.

Contrast to Body by Burberry EDP:
These are different, but there is a similar feel, only Body EDP is more chypre forward in the opening and has a more powerful performance overall, rather than the lush, float-y quality of EdA.

Overall: Modest performance that becomes above average layered over its matching body lotion. With its stunning scent profile of spring renewal, this is the perfect scent to wear while turning over a new leaf. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

meganlamode

Eclat d'Arpège is a fresh, green scent perfect for Spring. Sadly, I can't smell any lilac - one of my favorite flowers - but the peony and peach blossom are there, dancing with the green notes. The dry down is a bit soapy, but in a pretty, uplifting way. I'm reminded of a garden, and the happiness that comes with the warmer days brought by the springtime.

Emi93

Don't blind buy based on notes. I was recommended this perfume by multiple people but it smells like Dubai metro on me. It's barely ok.

ilydemirel

Love at first sniff! It probably will be my next spring scent.

gpaisley

Just a little review to share that the opening of Eclat d'Arpege reminds me almost exactly of Victoria's Secret BOMBSHELL as well as Body Fantasies ROMANCE & DREAMS, Zara ORCHID, and Incanto SHINE.

Interestingly however, the dry down of Eclat d'Arpege reminds me of a lighter version of Bath and Body Works COUNTRY CHIC.

So if you can imagine a perfume scent that opens like Victoria's Secret BOMBSHELL and dries down to a lighter version of COUNTRY CHIC, that is what Eclat d'Arpege smells like to me.

While the opening is bright, fruity, and bold, the perfume dries down to a soft skin scent within the first hour. Sillage and projection are faint and sit close to the skin.

Lenniecha

I love this scent so much. Fresh and clean! Great sillage in the first hour and not overwhelming at all. I just wish it stayed longer… After an hour the scent is pretty much gone, you can barely detect it even if you are close to skin.

LMD

Very pretty, soft, delicate and fresh. It's an easy, inoffensive reach but is too soft in terms of sillage and longevity. I bought a 30m but it won't last long as you need to overspray to smell it, and reapply frequently. It's lovely for Spring though, and isn't expensive so maybe just go for the 100ml. The peach blossom and osmanthus are the main players for me, I can't pick out the other notes individually but they blend together beautifully. Not earth shattering or groundbreaking but just a lovely brief interlude.

ASunday193

Whenever I try it, it smells exactly like Azzaro Mademoiselle to me. I don’t mind it but I prefer Azzaro because it stays longer on my skin. Cute, peachy, fruity-floral smell but nothing special or unique.

LanaDelSlay

It smells like a fruity shampoo, but it doesn't smell expensive at all, like a drugstore shampoo

DCJerry

The first time I smelt this 10 over years ago, I immediately thought this is what female angels smell like. I would enjoy cuddling with someone wearing this scent and I would be falling into a sweet dream within 15 minutes. I call this the "Love Potion".

Kekekie

I have been wearing Éclat d'Arpège for about 15 years. I have tried and tried to replace it, telling myself "must go on with the times", but it isn't a "dépassée" fragrance. Not at all, it is just NOT sweet. It is flowery, and not very unisexe (mostly feminin by our 1990 standards I would say, but it doesn't mean a man couldn't wear it); perhaps that's what could be "old school" or "dépassé" about it. It is not very strong which makes you want to overspray at times, because you will feel like it isn't there anymore. However, it stays on clothes very well.

I wear this fragrance almost everyday. I would also qualify it as a "work" fragrance because it is light enough that it could pass as a very very expensive soap or shampoo lol. People will approach you shyly and say, "ah! it is you! I could smell this sent linger in the room, it's quite light but it is so pleasant! What is your shampoo?" To this I always answer that I love this shampoo too! Some are wiser and just ask what the fragrance is. You will receive many compliments. People will ask everywhere. This is why I call it a work fragrance. It does not offend. It does not overwelm. it is subtle and pleasing. So while it will bring calm and a soothing presence to your day, it will not give people "a headache" or be intoxicating (in my opinion).

Essentially, you could qualify the scent as unremarkable. Perhaps. But, in an era of over sweet vanilla coffee patchouli fragrance, Éclat stands out as a "bouffée d'air frais" (fresh air) comparatively. As far as being dated, well, like I said, it could be, in a way, but not because it is an overwhelming and musky fragrance.

A would recommend you trying it if you like peony, and also if you have a hard time with musky fragrances (that may give you a headache). Because it is not exactly brand new, you can find it at a great price point, and it is a quality fragrance.

Ambrenuit

Light spring floral scent, classic for me, I've been using it for more than 10 years. Intoxicating, perfect for spring thanks to the accords of lilac and peony. This is a perfume that never goes out of style and never fades, I will always go back to it.

Verlyss

I've been using this for over a month now, and this one was somewhat a blind buy - I originally smelled it at Parkson's but was so nose blind I wasn't able to smell it properly.

I mainly got it because of the bottle, it resembled those classic video game health/mana potion bottles I couldn't resist getting myself a bottle. Initially, I couldn't smell anything at all. As in, the scent was very indistinguishable to my nose. It was near to invisible after seconds of spraying. But the longer I used it, the more apparent it became (which is a surprise because usually people become less aware of the scent rather than more aware). I realise that, from the bottle and sprayed on my clothes and in my hair, I don't really like the scent that much, it has this strange synthetic quality that makes me a bit dizzy, and is very strong. But on my skin it blooms into a very herbal, green floral which I love. It smells like an actual lilac blooming on my skin that I love it so so much, which I have to thank my chemistry for, I guess?

I love-hate this fragrance for that very reason it smells good on my skin but synthetic on my clothes, and lasts a good half a day when oversprayed. On my beau's skin it retains that synthetic quality that he still doesn't find an issue, but I can't help but dislike because it makes me dizzy. That's why I'm still torn about whether I'm going to repurchase this bottle or retire it from my collection, because there's no synthetic smell when sprayed on my skin and it is divine. I probably would have to use the whole 100ml bottle before I make that decision. It's sad I'm torn because I love the freshness and green quality of this scent, and if only the synthetic quality never existed it would be an easy replenish.

Edit: I eventually gave it to mon cher as he likes it a lot and wears it frequently, I wouldn't repurchase it for myself, though.

LEM922

This is super green, and honestly just not my thing. It's a little too sharp for me, not enough contrast going on to balance out the florals. This is just a straight up, watery flower garden surrounded by a bunch of cut grass. I'm sure somebody will like this. But I am not that person. This doesn't smell bad… But I don't like it. Not very interesting, nothing really spectacular about it. Smells dated as well.

Iveta IBM

I don't get lilac in this at all. I don't know why I'm getting something lemony - it is not listed in the notes. Maybe I am imagining it.
Anyway - it is very fresh, clean and inoffensive and I believe it would be a great starter fragrance for a teen girl/young woman. However, I am in my mid-thirties and I need something with a bit more personality.
I gave it to my 14-year-old niece and she loves it, though.

Sassafras23

It is clear why its profile is green: one can feel crushed leaves of citrus and tea, for sure. But why is it fruity? Peach blossom is not fruit. No fruit listed and none appears to be detectable. Crushed greenery. Not much lilac either. The description says GREEN lilac, so it’s not the real heady scent of lilac I was hoping for. Green and fresh, definitely, and closer to bitter than sweet. No floral headiness or sweetness. Delicate indeed, as in very light. Should be good for hot weather.

Update: I should say it may not be as weak as it appears. I’ve sprayed it on my cotton parka and felt it quite clearly for at least three days afterwards every time I wore the parka.

Becktothebone

One of my all time favorites ever. I got a bottle years ago at Saks in Palm Desert Ca and have adored it since. It’s a timeless fresh feminine scent that’s not overpowering. Clean white floral musk the floral is light how I like it. One of the best fragrances ever in my opinion.

Enrium

Eclat d'Arpège has nothing in common with Lanvin's legendary Arpège, despite the name and appearance of the bottle. EA is a generic floral-fruity, typical of its time and utterly uninteresting. Sweet and peachy with watery florals, it is girlish and simple with limited performance.

EA opens with a blast of alcohol, giving way to a peach schnapps accord. Sweet and fruity, it is complemented by fresh citrus notes. Light florals follow, mostly peony and watered-down hyacinth. There is a sap-like green undertone that complements the florals, but is barely there.

As it develops, a subtle woodiness develops in the background, alongside soft musky amber. There is an unpleasant plastic-y quality to the drydown - it doesn't overwhelm this scent, but takes from it. It fades very quickly, becoming a sweet, musky skin scent. Sillage is intimate and longevity is weak, fading to nothing within two hours.

Cheap and dull, it isn't unpleasant but feels extremely lazy. I can't see anyone other than a teenage girl wearing this. Harmless. 2/5.

clairescentience

I re-wrote my review of this perfume about 3 times as this scent continuously evolved for me. The first few days, I fell in love with this perfume. It was so feminine and luxurious! Then, I smelled it on another person and realized how intimate it actually smelled. Like a woman who'd sprayed perfume on herself then went to the gym and you could smell the heat, the smell of something lived in like saltiness, skin and sweat. A month in, I didn't like it so much. It, for some reason, smelled like a "grandma scent". Like that lived-in intimate smell just became too musky.

Now, I can share this about this smell: It's a feminine perfume that leaves an intimate aura. Be mindful of that "lived-in" smell it gives off as it's intimate and not exactly something to wear in professional settings. It's very... lay on bed with sheets I've been sleeping on for the past month with the scent of the woman who slept in it. It's full of memories of skin, sweat, and 'her' ('her' being you).

Cetra

I was looking forward to this perfume, but it was a let down. Smell like mosquito spray on my skin.

Mira20040313

Doesn't smell bad, it's fresh and floral, quite generic but the lasting power is terrible. I can barely smell it on myself even if Im sticking my nose close to my skin. This makes it kinda useless. Can be used for an after-shower fragrance, when youre gonna use something else throughout the day.

cookygirl

I think I probably already reviewed this years ago but would like to add now that as far as I can tell, this indeed has been reformulated as some posters have suggested.
Yesterday I did a side by side test of my new-ish bottle and an old mini that has been in my drawer for ages, and they do smell quite different.
The mini is very reminiscent of Light Blue with its freshness and its woody, cedar-y drydown. it is the Eclat d'Arpege that I remembered from my first encounters with the scent.
The newer bottle is stronger. more floral and is more long-lasting. It lacks the delicacy of the older version but it offers more in terms of sillage and longevity. It has been amped up rather than watered down which is usually the case with reformulations.
I have to say that I like both versions and do get compliments on the newer one too.

Scouthome

This is really a fragrance that in my opinion has earned its right to be invited into the true classics of perfumes. These days it is so underhyped and can therefore often be found at a very reasonable price. But this is such a beautiful and elegantly formulated fresh floral scent that very easily can become a signature scent for women who are into classically feminine leaning scents.

This is for sure a feminine leaning scent. I am not with that saying that people of other genders cannot wear it! Scents will always lean into your personal scent and will then lean in different directions. But as far as anything feminine goes this is a feminine flower so well blended together that it makes me immediately think of my garden when spring is about to burst into bloom after a long winter in the Nordic country I am from. It is quite heavenly and angelic in its clean inoffensive blossom ness. Young but still not just girly but womanly. Floral fresh and geeen really sums it up well I find. As this is floral but not cloying in any way. In the beginning even a little bit spritzy citrusy. But when it begins to dry down the spring flowers make their entrance with smooth lilac and wisteria accompanied after a while with the beautiful peony with a touch of peach blossom in the background. And sometimes a bit of osmanthus peeking through. The cedar and the amber are not detectable as stand out notes but really just serves as a soft anchor in the background. The amber giving the composition a tiny bit of sweetness just enough to allow for the flowers to play first budding violin. It is such a delicate blend where the different flowers dance together for you as floral scents enter your nose when you sit in a garden closing your eyes and let a warm breeze blow the different scents your way blending perfectly in the air before they hit your nostrils.

This is light and airy and perfect for fragrance sensitive settings. It does have a touch or clean laundry too. The green in this is not the sharp grass cut kind but a soft toned down greenery, silently complementing the flowers and keeping the composition from becoming cloying or heady.

Once it dries down it stays fairly linear throughout and has a moderate silage depending on how much you spray. It is not totally a skin scent but will be picked up by others if you pass by. Longevity could be better. But mine (which is quite an old bottle that still is perfectly fresh but might be more concentrated as sometimes perfumes sadly are watered down through the years) does stay on for at least 6-8 hours before I begin to notice it begins to fade. For me this is a scent that works just as well on all seasons, and is in that sense true signature material. In winter the freshness of the scent gives hope and warmth. And in spring it helps project all the natures scents that begin to bud. And in summer it offers freshness and coolness to a warm summer skin. In fall it mixes so well with the earthy tones in nature… so it really works with pretty much any setting. For obvious reasons this is a day scent. But I find it works great for formal evening settings too where you do not want to provoke or stand out but just want to blend in and feel elegantly at ease.

Eclat d’Arpège means something like a perfectly broken down (musical) accord where the notes are played one by one instead of being played at once. L’Arpège is also a three star Michelin restaurant in Paris. And both those things I find very suitable things to share a name with for this fragrance.
It is happy, angelic and divine and it is also a perfect scent for weddings. Quite elegant and timeless too. Don’t miss out on this one if you on occasion enjoy a little bit of femininity in your life. It sort of reminds me of the old Disney move The Aristocats where Duchess, the elegant mother cat and the little kitten girl Marie practices arpeggios under the roof tops of Paris while trying to find their way home and before they meet the Scat Cats who roughen things up a bit… One fragrance elegantly uniting a mother and a daughter in a perfectly broken down delicate blossoming accord.

Lola18

I blind bought this and I really like it. It's a fresh, floral, inoffensive scent. I also own DG Light Blue and agree with people saying that these fragrances smell similar, however, Eclat d'Arpège is definitely not as fruity as Light Blue.

Amara22

I was searching for an affordable summer scent and I found this.
To me it smells floral, fresh and grassy without being sickly sweet, I'm 28 and I think its perfect for my age.
It lasts about 5-6 hours on skin and 8 plus on clothes, I haven't worn it out and about, but its definitely able to be smelt by people immediately in your vicinity.
I recommend this as a daily summer/spring scent for the people who want to smell clean and floral but without being too basic.

foolishbeauty

Watery lilac tea. I love this fragrance. I buy it for my mom because of the mother and daughter image on the bottle. She doesn’t like perfume but she likes this. This makes a great gift, even blind buy, for a maternal figure, I can’t imagine anyone not liking this. I have a mini bottle I use for layering.

Pinkmilktea85

A relative gave this to me as a Christmas gift and I remember enjoying it a lot! It's a fresh floral scent, very inoffensive,I used it as my daily/office perfume. The scent doesn't really last (about 4-5 hours max?) But I still really like it! I think it's worth giving this a try as it is not that expensive. Plus the bottle looks so cute like a potion 🥰 Will repurchase maybe in the summer time!

AuthenticAF

Definitely get light blue vibes. If you dont like that (i do) you will most likely not like this. This is pretty, feminine, uplifting, clean, innocent, floral.
I dont get lilac. I really just get citrus?
I bought it bc it was really marked down and i am testing in probably not best season, but very wearable, innocent but not juvenile.
I absolutely love the bottle, something about the round globe! It is just so simple but so nice to look at. You get a lot for your money with this one, for sure!

LadyIva

This one smells like a mixture of DG Light Blue (and its countless flankers) and Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. It's a very pretty, fresh, feminine, enjoyable, soft fruity floral, probably aimed at younger customers - although ladies of all generations can enjoy and appreciate its simple, effortless beauty. Solid projection, but it doesn't last long. Perfect for everyday wear, especially when the weather gets warmer.
EDIT: Wow, this is my review No. 600! I had no idea I was such a prolific reviewer! But Fragrantica is keeping count. :)

Malina23

This is what I imagine a garden fairy would smell like. It's super fresh and light, perfect for spring. The biggest downside is that it lasts about two to three hours and sillage is also not great.

Jackiekeyes99

I have been eyeing this one up for awhile. After reading reviews and watching videos reviews I finally took the plunge. I was in the market for an everyday scent that is bright, fresh , light, soft and non offensive. Truthfully, I was going to buy Dolce Gabbana Light Blue which I love, it’s so easy to just throw on everyday while I run errands or go to the gym or I just want a pick me up. Well Ladies and Gents this is a true Gem. Leave behind your DGLB for a moment and get a load of this beautiful scent. If you love DGLB your gonna go crazy for this. This is different than DGLB but has all those same quality that keep you grabbing for this easy to wear everyday scent. Trust me this will be one perfume you actually use up.
The bottle is so gorgeous, the colour is just beautiful. The first spray was amazing! Like a love a first scent for me. Some how so innocent and true not fussy. I’m in my 40s and I love this scent it’s just so easy to wear it’s feminine it doesn’t scream or yell. It touch’s your nose gently like you’ve walked by a bush of flower(lilacs ) and wonder where the scent is coming from trying to follow your nose to the source to figure out what flower it is. I love lilacs, they are one of my fav flowers and this scent I feel captures it essence well without it being fake or too overpowering. The blend is amazing. The dry down is soft and floral on me and keeps very close to skin. So well balanced and simple. I just love it so much!

Kekekie

This is my signature fragrance. Received so many compliments when wearing this, it is difficult to go for something different. It is very soothing and soft. I wear this to work where I cannot be wearing something too strong. It is just pleasent and not overpowering. All sounds like nothing speacial doesn't it? But to me it is this kind of underrated but well crafted scent that you don't get tired of. The fact that there isn't much musk in it make it more wearable to me even if it doesn't last as long as musk gives me headaches when it's too strong.

Evelina169

Its a shame it has no longevity. They have to do with this something. You can overspray and nobody will notice. But i love it. It is soooo safe, soooo fresh, so light, uplifting. And must have for sure for every summer.

GinCatsBooks

What an unexpected find!
I was always intrigued by Eclat D'Arpege, the notes are perfect and are the type of notes I usually gravitate to, so naturally when I found a 30ml orb in TK Maxx a few months back, you can bet I snapped it up!

Eclat D'Arpege opens up feeling young, optimistic, fresh and bright. Some fresh citrussy tea wraps around a bouquets of peonies and lilacs and it only really changes after about 4 or so hours, by then some amber, musk and light general floral notes suface and accentuate the tea, lilac and peony. Its easy, fresh and elegant, perfect for daily wear but despite the fact that, on me at least, it is linear, it isnt a boring "beige" type of scent nor is it a Plain Jane, the tea keeps it peppy and bright even after a full days worth of wear.

The longevity on me is good and I will quite easily manage 7hrs from 4 spritzes, projection, however is quite soft and its more of a "fresh out of the shower skin but better" type of scent but I personally love scents like this for everyday wear and for during the hotter months. It can easily become an office scent and I can see it becoming someones signature scent too due to how easy it is to wear and because its something a little different (at least here in the UK). It actually smells like 2002, not that its dated but it has a real uplifting, carefree optimism that I dont feel too much in more recent releases, also the clear plastic shell in which the bottle is housed reminds me of the era when transparant tech was the big "in" thing * looks wistfully into the distance *
Firm love, fast repurchase, absolutely lovely!

Kristinwho

A very beautiful and innocent perfume. Such a shame because it doesn’t perform well. One of my favorites though. 💔

Frantheone

I liked it so much but unfortunately it's barely there... the first spray wasn't even there. 15 minutes later I got green lilac an wisteria, very pleasant but still barely there. It's such a pity. No projection no sillage and I was so disappointed. Glad I tested because I was on the verge of blind buying it.

So this is apparently what a tiny fairy would smell like. And I say tiny because you really have to stick your nose to your skin to get any kind of smell. Maybe it would project among tiny little fairies but not humans.

GiGiRi

This was a blind buy I was very nervous about given the reviews, but I found myself pleasantly surprised. At first spray, it's a very citrusy, bright, clean scent but the floral notes quickly came through (at least on my skin they did). I couldn't stop sniffing my wrists after I put this on for the first time, it just smells - beautiful!

It's elegant, with a kind of classiness that isn't dated. The balance of citrus and floral is just right. It settles into a pleasant, light but present, fresh floral-fruit scent. It has decent siliage but it's not overpowering, great on clothes too. Lasts a whole 8 hour workday on a few sprays, not totally necessary to reapply unless you want a bit more of that citrus-y kick. I can see how it would be overpowering at first but this is one you should sit with for a while to really appreciate the more delicate layers.

lingggvs

new favorite scent! if you like clean, floral, slightly citrusy scents, then this is for you! it reminds me slightly of tear-free baby shampoo. it has the same softness and daintyness as miss dior blooming bouquet although they don't smell similar. it's a very fresh, straight out the shower type scent.

oHei8

The scent is definitly pleasent, very clean and reminds of a lot of aldehydes- Iris scents (although it doesn't have that). The problem is that this dries down so quickly into a smell of wipes, and when that happens you can only smell it after shoving your face into the place where you sprayed and even then, longevity is very weak.

This is for days where you don’t feel like smelling like perfume but still want to smell clean. Imagine white clean laundry hung outside and it’s swiftly moving in the breeze. People will just assume that you have really clean clothes straight out of the laundry. Very inoffensive.

DariaFrancesca74

Fresh herbaceous / floral bouquet of limpid and crystalline freshness. Undoubtedly a clean fragrance, as clear as a spring day. In the most remote olfactory reminiscences I place it on a dear aunt of mine who unfortunately is no longer there…just that peculiar floral bouquet. Amiable olfactory evolution.

nyteshade

I love this! It's light, fresh and pink-purple floral. Granted this is a linear scent, but I don't mind. I was worried the lilac might come across as fabric softener-like (kinda like B&BW Fresh Cut Lilacs does to me) but thankfully it doesn't.

I can see that Fatale Pink by Agent Provocateur copied this. AP FP opens with a slight citrus, however this doesn't. I enjoy both. I'm happy I found it, and bought it as AP FP is hard to find. I also adore the potion-like bottle!

Interesting enough, I also tested Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet when I bought this, and I find it's in the same family of light fresh floral. So I think if you enjoy that, you should definitely try this.

kkaattjjeess

Very much an early 2000's scent in its character, VERY floral done in an inoffensive, fresh, airy way. Something about it doesn't quite agree with my nose and I think it's the lilac.

If Margiela's Springtime in a Park had a mother, this would be it (I hope nobody will find this comparison too offensive).

natasha calli

It is a wonderful scent. Soft and light like a proper flower but placed it under intense heat like in the province, it will wilt without water under the sun. Great scent but it becomes a fragrance that goes with the background under hot and humid weather. Great scent for cold months but not so much on hot days.

auroramaria

EdA is similar to Light Blue but inmy opinion it is even better because is more complex slightly sweeter and more feminine also at a great price point, I paid about 35 Euros for one 100ml bottle

lelucky1029

Background info on me: I'm mid-30s and have worn Viva La Juicy for a decade. And don't get me wrong, I still adore it, but either my nose is too used to it or the longevity of it has really faded in the last couple years. Cue my 2022 perfume journey.

I've only just dipped my toe in and I'm still in the designer realm, but have a few niche discovery sets ordered... But I digress. ANYWAY! I got a TON of little samples and have dedicated each day to a new scent. And Day 13 was Eclat d'Arpege.

My nose can't fully distinguish between notes just yet, but my god, something about this scent is intoxicating. It's light, but feels complex. There's a note that seems to cut through that reminds me of sweet tea. I'm sure a veteran could tell me which note I'm smelling, but whatever it is, sign me up!

Longevity-wise, I'm getting 4-6 hours out of it. The sillage seems pretty weak, but that makes it a super easy day-to-day, wear everywhere kind of scent.

For me, this guy is a 9 outta 10. If he was a smidgen stronger in the longevity department, he'd be a full 10. I love it and immediately bought a full sized bottle with the body lotion in hopes it extends the life of it.

I feel like a sparkly little princess fairy nymph. Delicate, fresh and sweet.

Kitty9

This A feminine scent that has never passed through a man's hands before.
Youthful aroma Along with the freshness that followed later. It smells very feminine And I've fallen in love with the smell. It's perfect for heavy hot weather Then the smell will explode from the body and spread the smell around.

I really like this one! It took a bit to grow on me for some reason, but I really appreciate this scent as a good fresh floral and doesn't rely on too many fruity or white floral notes.

AriaLennon

I call it as my fairy perfume! This smells so green and white floral like. Purely divine! My favorite flowers are peonies and osmanthus, and I also adore all varieties of lavender, as well as musk and amber. The purple color is depicted in Éclat d'Arpège as if it were a brand-new melody being performed on the piano on a spring afternoon, in perfect harmony with what we see and what we feel. Although it has a floral scent, it also has fruity undertones and a stirring freshness vibration.

bloominghale

This is the best smelling perfume I have. Unfortunately, the longevity is really bad. I can barely smell it after 30 minutes. I've had 3 bottles but never had 1 bottle with acceptable longevity and projection.

Tardigrada

I was craving spring florals that would be gym friendly as well and this hits the spot perfectly.
2022 fashion trends seem to be some sort of weird 2000s nostalgia and I have been traumatised by the pastels and flared trousers back then enough to not want to do any of that ever again, but I can manifest that nostalgia in an olfactory manner.
Eclat d'Arpege is devious little number and was immensely popular after it came out. I don't think it was meant to be an exact copy of Light Blue by Dolce Gabbana but it does exactly the same deceptive trick - airy and fresh top notes, that many could perceive as pleasant but boring, but the nuclear musky base manifesting itself differently depending on skin chemistry is what makes it addictive and carnal

love_crizy

This is the most beautiful fresh tea scent of all time. In the opening you get hit with a mysterious but delightful lilac flowers then it settles into a darker herbal tea. The only down side is the performance, it didn't stay past the 1hr mark on me.

Vinny_W

I wish this performed better because it's absolutely amazing. This is what I imagine a fairy to smell like. First experienced it in 2012 after my uncle got it for my mom in Switzerland. I'm based in South Africa and Lanvin isn't really a popular brand this side. This fragrance haunted me for a decade till I eventually got my hands on it this year and I am so inlove with it. There is a resemblance to Light Blue and Violet Eyes however this is much more sweeter than both and a bit less citrusy. I can definitely pick up the lilac notes which probably make it so whimsical. Poor performance and all I still rate it a 10/10.

Eclat De Fleurs performs WAY better but this will always be my all time favorite.

PeachPerfume

Smells like fresh-cut grass, wisteria, and lilac to me in the softest, sweetest way. I went through a sample, and at such a reasonable price for a whole set (huge bottle, lotion and travel spray), I had to re-up. I get absolutely none of the base’s white cedar, gentle musk or precious amber. In fact, my nose for a long time just read non-descript purple flowers, with a hint of tea flowers. No peach. But I really like it all the same. Very much a dewy, spring freshie. A sad con is that its longevity is basically zero. I sprayed this 30 minutes ago and it's already a shadow, even with the scented body lotion as a base.

ScentFairy

There was a rave about this perfume when I was freshman in high school, but I couldn't find it anywhere because online retail was not a thing back then. Out of curiousity, I bought a 100 ml EDP from Nordstrom Rack. I don't know if the formulation changed but 1) I don't enjoy this scent at all (I'm not sure what it's trying to do) and 2) the sillage and longevity is barely there. I've only spent $80 dollars on the set (body lotion + wash + EDP) but a 20 ml acqua di parma is rather worth it for me.

ArianaS

If Modern Princess last 15 minutes this stays 30 minutes on the Skin. What’s wrong with all Lanvin fragrances? This one smells refreshing and I wanted to use because i like it but I can’t spray it at every 30 minutes if I’m out. I can’t feel any lilac just grass, it’s a green smell. A pure lilac fragrances I found in Yves Rocher Lilas Mauve and Amouage Lilac love but this is not pure lilac but has rose and peony and it’s powdery in the end.

violacolors

My very first perfume. It mainly smelled like peaches to me but not in a sweet way, in a fresh way. It feels youthful, bright, and adorable. I recently remembered this scent and want to purchase again just to smell it :)

lovetribe

a very light perfume, which tastes of soap, clean, to feel good about yourself. I cannot recognize the notes individually, but the result is a wonderful palmolive soap.

unfortunately very poor performance. but being a perfume to feel good about ourselves, that's okay.

A perfect pick me up! Smells like a spring/early summer morning, the sun has just come up and dew on the grass and garden flowers is sparkling. Quiet and peaceful, a sense of hope for the day ahead. Goes on like a sheer Light Blue, when you first spray it on (minus the woody powdery notes). Develops quickly into something that smells light, pink, and dewy, and I am reminded of Lancome Miracle or Next Just Pink in vibe. One to keep in your bag to freshen up with on a hot day or after a morning shower. Inoffensive, impossible to spray too much. Lasting power of a body spray, which is a shame, because it's a beautiful scent (and a super pleasing bottle to look at and hold!).Not sure I'd repurchase, as I'd personally like more lasting power for the price, but this is one of those fragrances that would make a perfect little gift. £20 well spent, I think. A successful blind buy!

Amylya

It's a common smell, no lilac, no peony, very poor longevity (about 30 minutes). I'm sorry I bought it.

lareverie

Transported me to my childhood because this is straight up the smell of Garnier Fructis hair products. It's good, not great.

Nocciola23

This is a slightly sweeter version of Light Blue by DG. It's very pleasant but unfortunately quite fleeting in terms of longevity.
If you find Light Blue a bit harsh in the opening, you'd probably like this better.

Petrichor31

To me, this fragrance is reminiscent of a walk through the garden during a light rain in May. It has an ethereal delicate beauty. It is one of the very few fragrances I can wear when I'm experiencing spring allergies and really refreshing to wear in the heat of summer. It is not at all gourmand, no sweetness here. It is light florals & tea with a fresh cedar drydown.

Moukka

I like the opening of Salvador Dali's Dalilight, but it doesn't last long. Dali changes too much after an hour. I tested this one and it smells very similar, just like opening of Dalilight but it doesn't change over time. I prefer Eclat D'arpege. Nice daytime scent and it's still noticeable after six hours.

Ash212

So fresh and sweet yet clean ..... clean-ish. Theres something in this that is also in Versace bright crystals that makes me feel a little bit ill. Longevity is non-existent so after about a 30minutes im ok again. I love the scent but there's just this coying/wet smell that won't go away that makes me sick. But I am quite sensitive..... definitely try it! Beautiful bottle and scent!

Ticketgirl

What a lovely fragrance! Too bad it is such a poor performer. But, never mind. I just bought a bigger bottle so I would have plenty of it. I'll need it! I truly love wearing Eclat D'Arpege. But, I have to really pour it on to be able to enjoy it for more than an hour. I don't know when I've experienced a fresher, more delicious bottle of floral goodness. And then it's gone! So, I am just resigned to reapplying again and again to get me through the day. It's worth it! I may end up using this as a bedtime scent. It will be a comforting way to settle down for the night. In the meantime, this has turned me into an obsessed wrist-sniffer. What a joy it is!

fangpili

This is really lovely, mosty a soft scent of lilac and pettigrain with barely detectable tea note. This is a happy, calm spring day scent, lovely but very fleeting.

ingeneuxo

-Malls where i live smell like this.
-Quite literally, this scent is what my nose appears to pick up, when I am within a 3 foot radius of a certain footwear store.
-Great fresh-out-of-shower scent that's on par with fragrances from Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria lineup.
-Would make a great gift, even for those who don't typically wear perfume.
-Psst. this scent is rather popular in the Japanese market too. (-)

Lolapoop

almost identical , I'd say 85%, to diior addict eau fraiche 2014 except dior stays with me much longer
Very fresh, flowery ,light and clean .
Really nothing specjal .
For young women .
Great bottle and box.

Crocus

All I could smell for the first half hour was intense cedar which I dislike. It’s been almost an hour and now that the cedar has lifted a bit I can’t really smell anything. Disappointed that this didn’t work for me.

Peachply

Genius in a bottle. For those who are fans of fruity florals but prefer some anchor to the scent. It's a miraculous blend.

LauraAD

Somewhere between the incredibly photorealistic lilac with abysmal sillage of Ineke's After My Own Heart, and the less realistic but stronger smelling Flower by Kenzo. I think it's probably going to replace them both as whilst it's not as realistic as the Ineke, it's more of a pure and natural lilac than Kenzo, but smells stronger than the Ineke. It's basically the best combination of the two with the realism of one, and the strength of the other. It's really very straight on me: lilac, wisteria, nothing else but I like that.
Blind buy safe, and inoffensive but pretty enough for office wear etc. Lasts for 12h+.

Liliangaa

Everyday scent, it’s clean, creamy, very intimate and comfortable. This is glossier you plus lilacs.

cinnamongingersnaps

Just bought this fragrance, it’s got a lovely lilac scent that’s fresh and gentle. Top notes are as described but I mainly smell the lilac, and detect peony in the middle note. A pretty floral and feminine fragrance that is not overpowering or musky. A comforting and relaxing scent which is great for everyday, I think it suits all ages. I’m tempted to try the flankers especially the Sheer version.

Vicki1881

Very inoffensive, absolutely a blind buy if you're a fan of floral fragrances. I think it's the pefect spring perfume, but I can see myself wearing it at summer. Feels like a fresh garden filled with lilac, grass (spring flowers). It's nothing that special, but it's really pretty and I can't stop smelling myself after I sprayed it. The longevity is not bad at all. I can feel it on myself for about 4-5 hours. It reminds me a little bit of Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana, but a lot more flowery and feminine ( imo Light Blue smells like a expensive window cleaner). I recommend, it's with good value for the price point

Sarah09

This perfume is very famous in my country, and I can totally see why. It is such a beautiful fresh floral, feminine and inoffensive. I love lilac and this is one of the best lilac fragrances I have came across especially considering how affordable it is. The only down side is the longevity, lasts max 2 hours and projection is low. Nothing ground breaking, a very basic freshie, but done very well.

menmen

Clean and fresh, very inoffensive, would make a safe gift for a fresh/floral lover. I think this is perfect for spring mornings when there's still dew on the grass, personally see it only as a spring scent. As fresh as it is I wouldn't find much use of it because I have enough spring freshies that are more versatile and have better performance.
My verdict is that its a no go for my personal collection but it's definitely a pretty scent.
Probably Hinata from Naruto's signature scent.

cristinap9587

A nice and clean overall fragrance, to me it smells identical to D&G Light Blue. I wish I were able to distinguish all the notes that it should have but on my skin it's just floral fresh without any of the notes popping up. It's a skin scent, not much projection and after 2 hours I can smell it only up close. Good for the summer I guess, glad I only got a 30 ml bottle, I like it but not love it, it has nothing unique (I want to try LB Intense so I would not buy this one again).

cjlewis

It was a blind buy and I'm not a fan. On first spray it smelled very familiar, I feel like I've smelled something like this before... Then I realized it smells like a generic Herbal Essences shampoo, or some cheap scent you'd get at Victoria's Secret or a teen's ready-to-wear clothing store. It's very shampoo-soapy scented. Nice if you want to smell fresh and clean, like you just got out of the shower. It's absolutely a summer scent. It would work well in tropical heat, maybe as a scent to wear to the beach on vacation.

Edit: Later in the dry down you get pure white musk, no other notes detectable, at least for me. Amazingly it didn't completely disappear even when washing with a ton of dish soap, so I guess it has good staying power. I'm not that impressed so I'll just give it away.

Solemnglam

This was a random blind buy, I bought it for about 50 bucks because i just needed a new perfume to try and it was cheap but it was a delightful surprise and is now my signature fragrance!

When i first sprayed it on i was like "eh.." but after a while it really started smelling more nicer? I think it works really well with my skin. It's floral but not in like an old lady type of floral. It's modern and feminine but not soft.

Ive gotten compliments and people asking what perfume I'm using so i think it's the type of scent that is slightly loud but not to the point of being nauseating. Certain perfumes give me nausea but not this one!

These days my nose isnt as accurate as it used to be because of covid and A LOT of perfumes ive tested smelled absolutely disgusting on me TO ME but this one still smells the same which makes it one of the few perfumes that i find tolerable for me to smell on myself.

Vintagedaydream

Spraying this fragrance is like stepping through a magical portal into a Spring paradise. The fresh green aroma floats beautifully over the sweet powdery floral I get from this perfume in a way that reminds me of a brisk yet enjoyable breeze. A perfume that is the embodiment of perfect weather and wearing light jackets in the Spring. A fairy would definitely wear this fragrance. I did blind buy this and it quickly turned into one of my all time favorites. A little goes a long way for me and the longevity is amazing. Has been a definite compliment getter for me too. Seriously I love this perfume!

chunniecorn

Okay, so this was a blind buy after seeing how popular this fragrance is in Korea. At first sniff, I was only getting D&G Light Blue, which I used to own and used to love, but quickly grew sick of (it made me sneeze and gave me a headache). I think because of this, I didn't like it at first, but I gave it another try a few days later, and it was BEAUTIFUL. The floral, lilac/peony elements came out. It is so much more well rounded than LB. You feel so pretty wearing it. There are those days when you just want to feel pretty lol (not exactly unique or hot), and for that, this fragrance has an important place in my collection and I look for it on those days. Think dainty or sundress. If you're not a light blue fan, or are looking for a more feminine LB, I would give this a try. Found at a very affordable price online.

Daniela Ida

Masterpiece !!!

sasandfat

This starts off very softly and fades within one minute. The fragrance is ok but not worth the money.

Katv2003

this smells so fresh and dainty! I'ts hard to describe but it feels like a light bouquet you received when invited to a picnic date! So cute!

winonahb

The tea leaf cuts through all other notes, letting them stand out only after it's gotten my full attention. I like it, but it's far more green and astringent than I expected right from the beginning. I had thought the floral notes would stand out more. The other notes aren't hidden; I sense lilac, cedar, and a touch of amber fighting for center stage. In the sillage, though, it's all about the tea leaf.

Now I think I didn't give this scent enough credit. Some time later, I wore it on a warm summer day. The green scent that seemed to predominate at first is perfeclty blended into light floral and very soft musky woody notes. They're so nicely balanced, so fresh and subtly sweet, that it lifted my mood all morning. This is now my favorite summertime fragrance. It might suit both younger and older women, and I think it would have some unisex appeal.

washudtoj

I swear I can smell lemon in here.

Despite the interesting notes, this smells quite generic. Maybe that's because it's so popular in where I live. Nevertheless, I still like it somehow.

Same vibe as D&G Light Blue for women.

Very womanly. Not girly. Womanly.

Suitable for 20+ year-old women. Ideally 40+.

Hilliary56

One of the successful scents from decades and still holds the beauty. My grandmother wore this, my mother wore this and now this one is on my shelf. This smells like fairies to me and I feel this fragrance to be queen of floral perfumes that I have special feeling for. Osmanthus and peony in this are most loveable along with the amber, musk and lavender. I have worn I think 5 bottles of it already and I love this one so much that I am going to buy many more. I mostly wear it before going to bed and it makes me feel like a queen. Basically, this is a floral fragrance but there are some fruity nuances to it along with the freshness vibes throughout. Opening notes in this one is green lilac with the lemon leaves while the heart is peach blossom, red peonies, Chinese Osmanthus, wisteria and the green tea. Dry down is all about the amber, cedar and musk. Green and floral fragrance on skin reminds me of the lily of the valley. This one is a long lasting, soft and amazing scent that is gentle and imparts good silage too. An adorable as well as romantic scent that is beyond perfection. Bottle is perfect, packaging is awesome and juice is super stunning as well. Though my collection keeps on expanding every year but Eclat d’Arpege Lanvin is one on my shelf ever and forever. Eternal love!

mmxknna05

This is like tea time in a May garden. Lush pastel blooms and dew kisses green notes allow this to be a very fresh and clean fragrance that isn’t over powering, indolic, or “Granny”. How ever the staying power isn’t very resulte. But a potential safe blind buy for those who like clean delicate florals!

RandomPatterned

Edit May 2022 - changing this one to an "OK". Maybe the bottle needed to sit. I tried this again in order to confirm I wanted to put this on my list of ones to swap or sell. It seems less revolting and more tea-like and fresh floral when I tested it again. It still seems pretty generic to me. I prefer Bvlgari and Elizabeth Arden Tea offerings over this or D&G Light Blue.

This was a blind buy for me and I'm surprised how disappointed I am. I thought it would be a definite pleaser as I like tea, lilac, peony, and base notes with cedar and amber. Also, it seems well liked by many reviewers here. Sadly, I get NO tea, only lilac, other floral notes. I might be only used to tea frags paired with citrus or herbs. Maybe there's too much wisteria or musk. It does not remind me of Pleasures (greener and spicier), or Illuminare (more fruity with rose and white florals). I'm not sure how something so light and short lasting made me feel achy in the head and a tad nauseous after it dried down. I might have over sprayed thinking it was a skin scent. Glad my bottle was affordable. Perhaps I will revisit this after I get over my initial aversion.

phscent

great value and cute bottle. Very nice for the Philippine weather and the scent itself is beautiful, it's very feminine and I might recommend this to teenagers. Great for blind buy and nice introduction for perfumes.

8/10 Signature scent material

marinejuana

a friend gifted me this since she saw that i was desperately looking for a signature scent. to be honest, I couldn't smell anything at first whiff. I thought that it is a suitable scent for light skinned people. The bottle waited in the closet for two weeks and then I tried it once more last night. The comments about similarity of this scent to Monet paintings is quite appropriate imo. They are faint and chic and beautiful just like this little gem. I used to use Clinique Happy and Estee Lauders Pleasures in the past, lets say 20 years ago when I was in my twenties. Lanvin Eclat D'arpege reminds me of those scents. Fairy feeling, very light, very volatile but still there. Very floral. Theres nothing gourmand or cloying or headache inducing in it. Lilacs and some other flowery stuff. It is not easy to keep this scent on yourself, you have to reapply, thats for sure. I dont know if it is noticeable around, since I myself can hardly smell it but it is still very nice, I will keep it and use :))

mallowlotus

A soothing, clean and crisp scent.
Definitely could be described as boring, as it can be reminiscent of a shampoo or shower gel scent, but I wouldn't consider it juvenile. It reminds me of laying down in fresh sheets after a long shower. It gives me that comfortable, simple, relaxed day off feeling.
I can mostly smell the soft tea and light lilac, grounded by the musk.
Probably wouldn't wear this on harsh, cold or intense, hot days. Just like the neutral, soft, easy-going nature of this scent, I would probably choose to wear it on a simple, sunny spring day or a mellow, late summer evening.
A must-try for people who prefer non intrusive, placid, flowery fragrances.

FRESH BUT COMMON AND SMELLS LIKE ELIZABETH ARDEN'S (EA) GREEN TEA
Lanvin Eclat d’Arpège: A Blind Buy
Released in 2002

-Good for spring, summer, and day
-Citrus aromatic scent and a hint of floral fragrance
-More likely for females, but I think men can also use this
-Fresh scent (For daily use)

What a disappointment! I agree that this perfume smells like Elizabeth Arden's (EA) Green Tea, launched in 1999. When I first tried this fragrance, I immediately said: "This is a common scent." After spraying EA Green Tea, I realized it was nearly the same, except for the drydown. Lanvin Eclat's drydown reminds me of a shampoo. If you want a fresh scent that you can use every day, EA Green Tea is better and cheaper than Lanvin Eclat. In addition, this perfume has a poor sillage, and it does not last long too. For a scent that is not unique, Lanvin Eclat is way overpriced.

-You need to spray it every time
-Poor sillage
-Way overpriced

Overall, this scent is comifmon, but if you want something fresh and you want to splurge, then go for it! I will only buy this AGAIN when I am BORED.

mitaliojha

Sheer, Clean and Fresh tea scent. I prefer wearing this to bed.

pinto.pinto

Light, won’t give you a headache smells also a bit sweet in the best way possible. Perfect for school or work! Love it!

Lohi

This perfume is the personification of a Monet painting. Ultra-feminine, delicate, ethereal. The perfect non-irritating daily scent 💜

OneidaWelty

Perfection packed in the perfect bottle is Eclat d’Arpege. This is such an amazing scent that shares my emotions most of time. It makes me feel elegant, confident and beautiful. One specific thing I love about it is that it gets me so many compliments every time I wear it. This is a scent that is sweet, fresh, innocent and beautiful but in well balanced manner. This is true love for me. I wore this on my first date with my husband now so I share lovely memories with this one. It’s been 7 years now and this one is still on my shelf of top 5 scents. One lovely, dreamy, wispy floral fragrance that is green, fresh and very clean. Performance is amazing too. must buy for sure.

vrinsun

Masterpiece!! Discovered this perfume in high school and about to get my third bottle soon!
What a beautiful soapy ethereal scent!
When i close my eyes and smell this perfume, i see soap bubbles 🧼
I definitely get lilac and tea leaf mostly!
Major compliment gatherer!
I love to wear this perfume on days when i just want to smell good and simple.

It does smell similar to Dolce&gabbana light blue but this one is more floral. definitely softer and more pleasant.

Will always be one of my top favorite perfumes of all times❤️

Anne Vic

Best perfume of all time. When u mist it on it instantly makes u feel like you're floating across a tea & flower farms. If u live in a tropical & humid country this is the best perfume. Not too sweet that makes u feel like you're heaving headache but still feminine enough. However it's not that long lasting. Sillage is quite good. I would imagine girls that are wearing this must have cottagecore esque/vibe during spring season. PERFECT.

diandra96

It's so funny I sniff this a hundred times because I can't smell it all. but then 30mins later--AMAZING! it's so clean and fresh. I hate the fact that the smells is too soft. reminds me of fresh cotton or laundry. perfect for perfume you'd wear at home or to the mall

Pebblesjebbles333

This smells so light so fresh so clean. Perfect after shower or when doing casual chores. I dunno why i smell a slight lemon when there is no lemon note. It is a nice sweet citrus smell. This scent is definitely uplifting and cozy. Love this in my collection!

Kittykittybangbang

I was expecting something more from this. It’s sort of boring, I don’t smell too much on the opening , it seems to dry down to a pleasant but lackluster vanilla without much floral. Perhaps I got a bad bottle ?

karinatfragrantica

This is indeed a very soft delicate floral, light, transparent and easy to wear. The lilac is not as realistic as I have hoped, but it is nicely complimented by the tea leafes and peony. Gives me a sweet-young-girl-vibe. But it is definitely in a higher league than the usual celebrity scent type sweet fruity florals. Perfect "first perfume" I would say.

andili

Like all the main stream perfumes that came out in the 2000's like Be Delicious, Bright Crystal, Chloe, etc, this perfume is light, easy to wear, and likeable. What makes this perfume stand apart is the uncommonly used floral notes (wisteria / lilac), and absolutely no citrus! Kudos for diverting from the boring citrus opening route; light floral from start to finish. These days I seldom reach for my bottomless 3.4oz bottle, maybe except when I go to the gym or layer it with stronger perfumes to make them refreshing. Honestly, I think I'm just too **inserts deep sigh** old for this perfume. Great for your late teens/early 20s, when life is fun, simple and you don't have to take yourself nor your perfume seriously. Now I find myself enjoying perfumes that are well blended/or full bodied.

Mikejla79

I don't buy fragrances as gifts unless someone asks for specific fragrance, but this one is the only perfume I would not be afraid to give to my teen cousin, my friends in their 40's or even my elderly aunt. It is very lovely, fresh, lightly sweet and so soft. Longevity is bad, but I will always have this one in my collection. It makes me happy.

plasticblue

I bought a tester, and for some reason the notes were written differently, there was amalfi lemon included, which i don't see here, so I might have bought another version of this perfume. But the smell is amazing - very feminine, citrusy, flowery, green and fresh. Sadly, longevity is very weak, sillage even more. A friend smelled me only after hugging me. On my hand it disappeared after about 30 min, on clothes after 1-2 hours (again, not sure if it's the tester's fault, or if it's another version of the perfume).

Longevity/Sillage: 2/5 (can't call this perfume, only EDT)
Blind buy: safe

rheacamillelorenzo

My first ever bought perfume for myself.

NaaatNaaat

A very fresh, flowery scent, very light. Perfect for daytime wear, I love this one as an absolute no-brainer. It unfortunately doesn't last but it's pretty affordable so I don't mind re-applying.

Sinologist

This is such a beautiful scent, in a pretty bottle with a pleasingly color of lavender juice. I purchased a small bottle last year because it contained my favorite scent of peony. I've also listed this fragrance as one of my top 5 scents! I ran through my first bottle and then I purchased the 100 ml bottle. I was so surprised at how inexpensively priced this scent was.
However, the calming experience which I receive from this fragrance is unique! This is a perfectly balanced floral which smells just as pleasing as some of the more pricier scents. The fragrance is not long lasting, but again, it's a unique scent. It's on clearance at some of the discount perfume sites, so I plan on storing a few more bottles. I like Eclat d'Arpege more than the Bond No 9's Scent of Peace, which is on the comparison field above.

UPDATE: I've recently seen Eclat d'Arpege in the department stores selling as a set containing the small and large sized bottles for about $100. I believe that it's getting a second look which is driving the price up (to where it should be).

Kitskivich

I’ve worn this for just about 20 years and find it to be so lovely. It is a true floral but with lovely crisp green notes and the warmth and mojo that cedar brings.

My grandmother wore Arpège and I’m not afraid of a substantial fragrance, but I much prefer Éclat. It is much brighter, crisper, and more etherial.

When Éclat first came out in the early Aughts, it cost significantly more; it was in the same price range as Hermès and Chanel. I used to spend over $100 for a full-size bottle. The price has come down considerably, so we may all count ourselves lucky that we can have this lovely fragrance at a very affordable price now that it’s no longer basking in the ‘New Fragrance’ limelight.

Sol0013

Beautiful opening but unfortunately the smell becomes sharper and cheaper as it dries down.

I want to kick myself for not trying this sooner. This is such a beautiful scent. It's so refreshing. It's indeed a blind buy worthy. Not to mention it's also cheap. This is perfect for days that you just couldn't bother to think of what perfume to wear. Safe to use for all occasions. The bottle and juice is also very pretty. The scent reminds me of EA's Green Tea and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet; which are both light, green and floral fresh. But for me, this one beats them. Now I wouldn't mind buying Blooming Bouquet when I ran out.

Thankfully, the similarity to Light Blue only lasted about 5 minutes. Light Blue is screechy and this one is not. Lasts about 5-6 hours; 4 sprays and I can still smell it, even though it's more of a skin scent now. Something I'm really not expecting from this. It performs way better than Miss Dior's Blooming Bouquet!

Open with lot of floral notes then turn into skin scent basically and dry down soapy. Kind of weak projection but worth the price. Nothing more nothing less, just a normal soap scent.

I've had this lovely fresh lilac fragrance for a couple of years now. It's more of a spring scent. However, I like to wear it when I want a little something especially after a heavier perfume day. I don't wear fragrances when I'm feeling ill so when i start to wear fragrances again after such a time I reach for this one. It's so comforting and nice to spray bed sheets with as well. I love the mother and child symbol on the bottle. It smells lovely from start to finish.

I totally agree with other people here. This fragrance smells divine. It is not a complex scent, but it is so ethereal. Sometimes trying different scents, I smell other scents and then this, and I cannot help think how much better and more special this fragrance is than the average scent. As for the comparison to light blue, I do not think they are really alike. I do like light blue very much, but it is very citric sharp, which I like, I do admire Light Blue, but there is no sharpness, or maybe only a little bit, in Eclat dArpege. It smells very much, as others say, of green lilac. Its distinctive feature to me, as I said, is the ethereal lightness, the transparent way it projects its beauty. I find it divine. I have the same issue as other people about staying power, but I suppose one cannot have it all.

Bought this today as a blind buy. At the first initial spray I was instantly reminded of another perfume it was so familiar. I finally put my finger on it its a 90% dupe for Victoria Secret - Secret Charm (which I love).
This frag is very delicate and light; totally up my alley, I can picture this for every day errands and even as a signature scent as its so non-offensive. Doesn't have great lasting power though. Overall 8.5/10

This is a cheapie and you know it when you are wearing it. A strong crisp apple scent lingers mostly. Not much depth in this frag. Nice if you want to feel clean and fresh on a hot day or after a shower. There is something appealing in it, maybe the wisteria.

What can I say about this perfume that hasn't been said? This is truly a classic that all girls and women should have in their collection! A perfect spring staple and the love of my life, I'm super glad to have blind purchased it on sale and it will remain (one of) my favorites for years to come!

Eclat d’Arpège is right up my alley -- fresh, airy, feminine, clean, floral, mass-appealing and shampoo-ish. It is a scent that I have been smelling all my life due to its overwhelming popularity among Thai females, but took me 23 years to finally identify the name of it. Upon first spray, I had to beam "So this is it!" with delight and excitement. It initially reminded me of Moschino's Cheap & Chic I Love Love for some reason, but I can somehow see the connection since lots of people here voted Eclat d’Arpège to be reminiscent of D&G's Light Blue. However, that doesn't mean it is citrusy or tangy by any means; it has a right amount of citrus in the opening, before the tart smell mellows into a clean-smelling, airy, fresh and delicate tea and florals, which I think are lilac and peony and maybe peach blossom. The scent is absolutely divine at this stage, but the dry down is also equally amazing with warm, comforting musk.

Surprisingly, the lasting power and sillage are not abysmal or weak as others have said. On my skin, it lasts about 8 hours with 7 atomizations and projects within an arm length for the first hour, before turning into a skin scent. I picture someone who wears this perfume to be strikingly beautiful, tender, gentle, caring, delicate, fragile, and almost angelic. This is what I imagine my ideal girlfriend to smell like, if I am to have one. One spray and I'll follow her around and cuddle her all day lol.

However, the only downside to this fragrance is its ubiquity, especially here in Thailand. Some might consider it generic and although I quite disagree on that, I have to admit you will not stand out if you wear this since everyone and their mom seems to have it in their possession. The perfume is SO widely-appreciated that it is not a rare occurrence to walk past someone who also wears this like you do. Having said that, I don't mind smelling 'generic' on some days as it smells that good.

Eclat d’Arpège is femininity and delicacy in a bottle, and that attractive lavender juice in that adorable sphere of a bottle, combined with its affordable price make it impossible for me to pass up.

This was a blind buy...cannot resist a sale. I read the mixed reviews and was not expecting much, so I was surprised when this turned out to be a perfect summer fragrance. Today it is hot. The air conditioning is not working and I wanted something refreshing. I sprayed this out of the shower and it is very pretty. It is clean, bright, a teeny tiny bit acquatic. The clean white musk is lovely. A good out of the shower scent

Can't love it more! It's the exact one everyone would like for their first bottle of perfume.

Definitely a scent that’s easy to like. It’s fresh and the dry down smells like those typical lotions for women you can buy at a drugstore—not a bad thing I guess. It’s also very light and not overbearing. The performance is weak though. It’s more like an EDT instead of EDP.

Overall it’s an okay-everyday fragrance.

Bought it on sale without previous checking the notes. That was a mistake as I really do not enjoy how it grows on me. Luckily it fades quickly. I stopped wearing it. Works well as bathroom refresher though.

Igf anyone is done with their bottle, I could use the cap for my tester.

This was an instant scrubber for me, so I don’t even know what the longevity is like. Typical Non descript fruity musky floral that I can only compare to something Bath and Body Works would release. Heck, even Bath and Body Works scents I’ve tried nowadays are more pleasant and are much more well - blended than this. This is a sharp, screechy, chemically Nuisance of a fragrance, and just smells like a poor quality drugstore perfume. I get no freshness from this either - this just falls apart on my skin. After I let the fragrance dry down for a minute, once I sniffed it, the molecules instantly irritated my throat, and gave me a headache instantly. Nope, nope and nope.

Edit: there’s no fruit in this? I’m shocked. The floral notes don’t smell natural at all, so the sweetness blinded my nose into smelling a dry pear note.

This has been on my list to get for awhile. Purchased yesterday. Worth waiting for. Divine scent. Light, yet gently persistent. It wafts - like all good perfumes should. Just subtlety reminds you she’s there every so often.

Coco Chanel once said that “perfume should be a subtle suggestion, not an open invitation.”

I don’t know what happened if they changed the formula but this had been for years a favourite of mine. Now it’s totally different, nothing from what it was before. Just a grass smell with a hint of lilac with a extremely poor silage and performance. I just hate it when they change the formulas, just why?!

QueenieIrenie

Gorgeous fresh, floral, slightly musky fragrance. I received this as a gift in my late teens or early 20s and then bought another bottle a few years later from a discount retailer. The last time I wore this was at least 10 years ago and back then I didn't pay attention to longevity as much as I do now, but considering it's a more delicate fragrance once it dries down, I'm not surprised that many complain about staying power. It's still a beautiful fragrance, probably better suited for warmer weather.

ielleloui

This is such a beautiful fragrance that exudes femininity, innocence, and simplicity. Even though it’s a perfume, it acts only as a skin scent on me but I don’t mind. Perfect for days that you just want to smell fresh and clean. This also works really well if you live in a hot and humid country like I do. You’ll still smell like an angel even after a bit of sun exposure and sweat.

The notes I smell the most in this are tea leaf, peach blossom, lilac, peony and amber.
On my skin it lasts for about 5-6 hours. Its sillage is so delicate that sometimes I couldn't even smell it - tho people close to me could. On my hair it lasts for approx. 10-12 hours, but when it comes to sillage it acts the same as on my skin.
It's a really nice, universal smell, perfect for the warmer seasons. I'm surprised it's not more popular (at least in my country) cause I feel like you can't really go wrong with this one. Imo it's a perfect fragrance when it comes to blind-buying or gifting it to somebody. It's sweet, but not too sweet. Fresh, but not too fresh. Perfectly balanced, really classy, but with a twist - the lilac in this was not what I expected; it's not a typical one, the one that could suffocate you in May with its soapy sweetness - I'd say the lilac in this is still in bloom, very delicate and almost shy in some way. Imo it gets less sweet and more fresh after some time - that's when cedar kicks in. I actually feel like this could pass as a unisex too.
I bought it on sale in my country a few days ago and it was only 16$ for 30 ml - and yes, it is an original EDP bought from one of the biggest retailers here, so I'm 100% sure it's original. Its bottle is so nice too!!

Finally, a fragrance with a lilac I can actually recognize!

Meek, mild, a bit whimsical, and kinda, in the slightest bit, mysterious. Not mysterious as in a strange and complex perfume, but think of a girl who always has her head in a book, and takes walks in the rain. It's mostly linear, except for a slightly powdery dry down and the slightest, most subtle spice ever. Almost leaves a tingle of spice in your nose. Slightly poor longevity, medium sillage.

This is perfect for spring, especially after it rains! If you're like me and can't bear spring without the smell of lilacs, but don't have any trees, I think you'll appreciate this.
