This fragrance smells absolutely amazing, I’m quite attracted towards cheaper colognes because of my budget but this one is the best cheapie. The first time I smelled it, I was like meh. As I kept reapplying it though during the winter it began to grow to be my favorite cologne! It is just absolutely an amazing creamy smoky vanilla fragrance. The longevity is bomb and lasts around 8 hours on my skin. The projection is also very good but nothing too too special. The smell is so good hitting you with wood, vanilla, and just an overall Christmas smell. Just a little advice, do not spray too much because it is headache inducing in large quantities. The bottle is nothing special, but I knew I was going to get something good because of the quality. Overall this is something everybody with a small budget should have!

First of all, If you are looking for a By The Fireplace clone, this ain't it.

In the air they do smell similar because they come from the same DNA - both are woody and sugary scents, but this lacks what makes the MMM scent outstanding. Ameer Al Oudh does not have any balsamic stuff going on, it does not have any smoke or incense whatsoever, it does not have that sharp and piercing dryness of an indoors fireplace woods.

So i think, this is a fail as a clone scent, because just being of the same scent DNA is not enough
As a standalone fragrance this is just ok because while smelling nice, it is very one-dimensional since Ameer Al Oud is basically woods and sugary sweetness - and that's it.

The abysmally strong performance (It does stay loud throughout the whole wearing day) and the lack of any depth makes it into a decent scent with no versatility. You gotta look out for the coldest winter days to rock it with no risk of choking out others and yourself

At least is dirt-cheap, so you don't risk much ordering this one, but don't make your expectations too high.

Ambrosia_Flame

This was a surprisingly good scent. It has a smoky quality to it that I love. It has a burnt sugar on shouldering wood effect, almost like you're standing near cozy hearth on a winyers night. I haven't smelled by the fire place, but this dies have a campfire, toasted smile feel. As far as the oud goes, it's not a sharp oud at all. I'd say the oud is pronounced but has a smooth boozy effect . The wood is heavy but not suffocating.

DustyMemphis

@bd78, you must have horrible skin chemistry!!! 1 - 2 sprays on clothes is all you need for a 24+ hour effect, if it just last 30 minutes on you, either you're close to dying, or you got a fake!

Burkey_30

So close to buy the fireplace but just with less minute detail it's so good and super masculine very good budget but if you've already got a decent winter set it's not worth it

MarkoPeeko

@bd78

They must’ve seriously meddled with their formula. Bottles from 2-3 years ago are nuclear. Lasts easily 10-12 hours of 3-4 sprays.

I’m wearing it tonight and I’ll still smell it as a skin scent after a shower tomorrow.

Bloody gorgeous juice. Best in really cold weather or it can smell a bit funky.

oddsoy

this perfume is strange, not particularly in a bad way. ive had it almost over a year and i just cant figure out this scent. its sweet, oudy, and something a little chocolatey (?) but sometimes i get a heavy dose of sweat, and not in the sexy, musky kind of way, like a bodly odor that is unbearable. today im wearing it and it smells amazing but some days i cant stand it. very weird but beautiful

bd78

Nothing close to by the fireplace. Typical arabian clone house perfume where they imitate proven scents and fail almost every time. This time they failed horribly. Cheaply sweet fragrance that has no resemblance of by the fireplace and lasts about 30 minutes

jxssicamidnight

I loved this so much a year ago when I first got it
Now that it’s macerated it’s so musky and soapy, it’s a shame :(

Gabe Banish

Don't listen to these virgins in the comments, this is a fantastic clone of MM By the Fireplace, with maybe 5% more sweetness and less of a "I just crawled out of a housefire and left my siblings to burn inside". Admittedly had to let this sit for a month, but after I did, it's an absolute beast. Absolutely perfect for cold nights or winter, and lasts about 7-8 hours.

luk3tait

seemingly a great clone! first day of wearing it my sister asked if i was wearing by the fireplace so i guess that's a plus. i'm still trying to decide if i like the smell or love it. incredibly, incredibly sweet (way more than i was lead to believe) but i don't mind that, just could see this being cloying for some. this is my first oud fragrance and i'm not exactly sure if this is a "good" or "bad" oud smell, to me it smells fine, just very woody. projection and performance is insane though, 1 spray is perfect, two would honestly be pushing it i think.

Adog22

Only smells like by the fireplace right in the opening. Once the sugary wood goes it becomes airy and very musky and soapy. If you want a by the fireplace dupe who is Elijah comes pretty close.

Keeping It Simple #4

Whoever lured us into thinking that this is supposed to be a By The Fireplace clone: well, they lied. Don’t get your expectations up. This is it’s own thing.

officezero

I loved this!
It smells amazing and not synthetic like other Arabia perfumes. Right from application it has that soft fragrance (neither too harsh and neither too mild).
And drawdown is good. It's a safe summer perfume for office too.
Just 2 sprays on either side of neck and you are set!

sniff_this

The woody notes in this are sublime and realistic. It's like a pile of freshly milled cedar, cypress and sandalwood covered in sugar with the oud as an umbrella

ShoGirl

This is a *great* unisex middle-Eastern Oudh and vanilla combo, with smokey notes, a medicinal.(almost burning rubber) tang and a saffron topnote. Great longevity, sillage and bang for buck, and the weird rubbery/almost petro-chemical note settles down and mixes with the other stuff after a short while.

Reminds me a lot of "Oudh Mood", though that is a touch sweeter and more feminine than this

ahmadkhaliile

Diving into the world of Ameer Al Oud, I'm instantly reminded of Lalique's iconic Encre Noire.
Yet, Ameer Al Oud takes it up a notch, as if the woods within it are not just present but alive and ablaze.

While Encre Noire presents a serene, extinguished woods scenario, almost like a peaceful, misty morning in a dense, damp forest, Ameer Al Oud thrusts you into the heart of the wilderness, where the scent of smoldering wood fills the air, adding a primal intensity to the experience.

It's as if Encre Noire whispers the secrets of the forest at dawn, while Ameer Al Oud roars them into the night sky, flames licking the air, daring and bold. This fragrance isn't just a statement; it's an adventure, a journey through fire-kissed woods that lingers long after the flames have died down.

As my collections grown I’ve found myself with a few cheapies that I don’t wear that often, especially to nicer occasions. This was one of my first cheapies along with Qaeed and although I liked this, didn’t really wear it that often and slowly become forgotten

Fast forward 12/18 months later and sure enough the dust was getting thicker and thicker. So started spraying it in the evening. On the sofa, after dinner, candle lit, type vibe

And this has all of a sudden found its place!

And don’t get me wrong. It reads as if I’m saying this is one I spray in the evening for the sake of it, and yeah that’s essentially how it started BUT!

What dawned on me and in fairness my wife as well .. Holy fucking shit this stuff smells fire in a close proximity, evening, glass of red environment. In truth, I haven’t nor would I ever really wear this out and about. Im not saying it’s not nice, but this thing is the scent you want on if you’ve invited a lady over to your place and you’re cooking her dinner for the first time (on a budget mind you) if you had more money and wanted this exact same type vibe, go for BDK Gris Channel Extrait. But on a budget, this is secure yourself a snuggle buddy juice.

zakwansabri24

Good SPL. Note scents very simple but aromatic wood oud blend well with herbal at the end. Impressive bottle.

Stapik

Didn't like it at first but now I use it a lot. I smell Vanilla, medicinal herbs plus tobacco in the dry down. Very unisex scent.

Salqurs

The Notes they’re are wrong, this is the right Notes

Notes:
Top: Saffron, Nutmeg
Heart: Geranium, Woody Notes, Labdanum
Base: Oud, Vanilla, Leather

Man.. i can't get enough of this perfume.. i LOVE IT!!!!!!! When i first got it, i thought i had a clone of the clone, cause when sprayed, the scent was extremely weak.. But after doing some research, i found that a lot of people said that you should spray it, and then leave it for a couple of weeks, to maturate it, since, apparently, lattafa pumps these out, without allowing the ingredients to interact with each other first.

After a week, it started smelling like more, and after 3 weeks, it reached its "final form".. Bro. This is so amazing.. it makes me feel so fucking good.. The smell is like a sweet smoky woody incensy kinda thing.. My only knowledge about "oud" is tom fords oud wood. This smells nothing like that one.. but.. i actually like this more.. This is PERFECT for cold weather.. I wish i could wear it year round, but this is deff. not for warm weather.. I have tried TONS of perfumes, and this is one of my absolute favorites. fuck man.

Btw. I have smelled "by the fireplace".. I dont know wtf people are talking about, comparing this to that.. they are NOTHING alike.. By the fireplace, straight up smells like a burning fire.. Not even in the "sweet" kind of way, but more like acrid burning wood.. i dont like that one at all.

John Zdoe

it has a very punchy initial oud smell that may be overpowering for some people but at the dry down it mellows down to a smoky vanilla woody scent that is very attractive and cozy....didn't like it much at the beginning but it has definitely grew on me and I even received a couple of compliments.....not a safe blind buy though

Pola213

Most used past winter by me! 60% of the bottle is gone and I need a new bottle for the next season! I wasnt a fan at first but then I fell in love :)

Sosa1x3000

I fell for the hype around this perfume
It doesn’t smell like BTF
all I get is smoke 💨 and more smoke 💨 with vanilla
The drydown of this perfume on my skin smells like I just slept with camels 🐪 very bad

MushroomMissy

I got a small decant of this on norcalscents.com along with some other Lattafa perfumes. At first I absolutely hated it and had to wash it off immediately. I couldn’t understand the hype around this perfume. A couple weeks later I went back to it, and didn’t hate it so much. Then kept going back to it until it grew on me. I ended up buying a full sized bottle in the end. I love it now. It’s all about the scent bubble this perfume creates. It’s warm and comforting, but definitely not a safe blind buy.
I think liking this scent has less to do with maceration and more to do with the scent becoming more of an acquired taste. Now I can’t get enough. Also. I’ve had some really good luck on TikTok shop and got this for $13 free shipping.

littlesparks

The oud is overpowering for me. I do not get even a hint of sweetness. The herbal note sort of shuffles around in the background and I do enjoy it, although not enough for me to give this another chance. I gave it to my sister who loves more complicated scents (I am hopeless basic but I will own up to it), and it does smell awesome on her. It doesn’t agree with me. Lasting power is phenomenal and you get a huge amount for very cheap. A true unisex scent as well. Cold weather for sure!

Jasminelove28

I love it! Many call it a masculine fragrance.. but no! This is exactly a unisex fragrance according to me.. it started growing on me so much because its not too sweet or overpowering. Kinda it is soothing because of the woodyness and spiciness along with vanilla goodness. Its only mildly sugared. Perfect for the winter and cool weather. It just makes me feel cozy and happy.

This also makes an amazing layering fragrance when you want oud or smoky spicy woody lift up ! A definite hit for lattafa!!!! 👍

Mcpoland

Its not copy of by the fireplace more like inspiration. Its more sweeter but less vanilia than BTF. Long long lasting. More suitable for older guys

Jel98k

I was going nose blind with this and maybe after macerating, it has decent performance
(5 sprays) of 8 hrs with good projection for first 2-3 hours.
Smells like burnt wood and sugar. Hated it at first but grew to love it, so no blind buy safe, but for the price you can pull the trigger :)
And yes, it’s quite similar to By the Fireplace

muertyna

For me it's unisex, but the strong spicy, woody notes make it understandable why it could be percieved as a more masculine fragrance.
I love it, and thanks to the good sillage, now I know others love it too :p This is my most complimented fragrance.
Ameer al Oudh has a very smoky and sweet opening and then I feel a lot of warm spices.
Overally for a person that loves smoky and spicy frags this one's a perfect blind buy. I think the dry down has the classic arabic scent, and I can smell it on my clothes and hair even the next day.
At 100ml it is great value for money. I recommend!

eclecticsynergy

I wouldn't call this a clone of By The Fireplace, not at all. Okay, there's similarity later in the drydown, but the smokiness is entirely different. While there's background smokiness here, it's subtle.
The opening of BTF literally smells as if you were just saved from a house fire.

Vanilla leads, slightly creamy but not quite sweet enough to be cloying. Mouth-watering, maybe... Still, there isn't any real fruitiness under the spice notes to make it feel like a gourmand. The oud here is not overbearing at all (especially considering the name.) No barnyard odor, yet not entirely sterile.

Incense drifts with the smokiness. There's saffron & nutmeg, but also musk & a hint of leather. To me it seems well harmonized - they all play together very nicely.

This isn't one of those dynamic, evolving scents; after the opening it's pretty linear.
But it's lovely.

Strong projection and real legs - this deserves its reputation for power, though I wouldn't call it beast mode. After three sprays, eight to ten hours pass before it's a skin scent on me. Scent bubble contracts a bit over time - after a couple of hours it's down to arms length. Wonderful aroma lingers on clothes for a long, long time.

In general I'm not a fan of sweet scents. But this one has a solid spot in my top ten.

zag_168

I love the smokiness ,but at the same time it's really really smooth...not annoying at all.
Woody , incense ...something has burnt already ....but all under control....

vvs_030303

Im pretty new to fragrances and recently blindbought this, very intense woodsy opening, the vanilla and sugary notes are really strong in this, i get a kind of boozy feeling on this fragrance, really good performance and price! worth buying for sure!

anitawags66

I guess I will be the oddball here…..
I do not like this and I do not find this to be a dupe for BTFP.
Very strong.oud. I’m detecting the slightest bit of vanilla.
I’m new to perfumery so perhaps I am finding out I am not a fan of oud. Definitely not the scent for me.

skyon33

It's a sweet, creamy, smokey vanilla scent.
Sillage is very strong imo. I tried it with other fragrances on my arms and this one was the one I kept noticing and smelling, without even trying to.
The only downside is that it's hard to pull off. I just can't think of any occasion to wear this, other than a christmas dinner or something similar.
Easily lasts 12+ hours.
Even after showering and scrubbing my arm with soap where I applied this fragrance, I could still smell it slightly.
This stuff is no joke.

Duh-Bae

This one is growing on me.. Not a love yet but a like like like.

For me, this is not complicated. Sweetness, some smoke/incence and oud coming together and I love that about it. I believe that less is more with oud, so fewer sprays and fewer notes. This helps them marry together well and leave a beautiful trail.

I wore this and someone said I smelled like sweet incense.

I find that this warms up on my skin in a way that makes it a bit spicy, which is quite common with a lot of my perfumes. However, on clothes, it is a beautiful combo of sweet incense, sweet smoke and sweet oud.

This is a beast mode fragrance with very strong silage even when I am yet to mature it, which I plan to.

EDIT:
This is a keeper!! I am in love! As the days pass the sweetness becomes more pronounced so does the smokiness. I am crazy about this fragrance. It has grown on me. Can be worn alone and layered with other fragrances making them sweeter with woody nuances. Leaves you in a wonderful scent bubble.

12/4/24
I have come to find that this is better for cooler weather unless it can get screechy and funky. Some days I absolutely love this and other days I cannot stand it. However, layered I works perfectly.

Sigmaueol10

It’s like By the fire place but with less smokey smell

ajfragrances

bought this as a dupe for MM’s By the Fireplace (owned it, but didn’t wanna repurchase as i found out M is apparently owned by LVMH), and i gotta say i’m so pleasantly surprised and impressed by how good it is!! To me this smells exactly like By the Fireplace, and i would definitely recommend Ameer Al Oudh as an alternative!! Only difference is it smells a teeny tiny bit more vanilla-y to me, and it actually lasts way longer!! Seriously - i sprayed twice on my wrist and after taking a shower it was still lingering!! Love this :)

exmin

incredible for the price! perfect scent for christmas

frag racer

I made a blind buy for this one because of nice comments. First of all i need to say this fragrance is not for everyone and not safe for blind buy.

And lets talk about fragrance.
It opens with synthetic oud notes. Then it gets smoother and vanilla and sweet notes appears. But oud is still dominant. At drydown you smell like an Indian/middle east incense. Smokey, sweet and little bit spicy.

Sillage and longentivity is really good for price. But i think lattafa is obsessed with oud. They put oud every fragrance :) i think this fragrance could be better with less oud

LadyMuck

I like the sweetness and the initial but fleeting woody hit which is lovely but dissipates very quickly on my skin.
It's a soft scent on me. My body chemistry absorbs it, and it becomes skin scent which I wasn't expecting given all the reviews of it being quite intense and strong.
I think it's a lovely fragrance but that beautiful wood campfire/chestnut smell that is present and lingers with BTFP is not replicated but still worth buying if you like woody sweet scents.

TDSollog

OMFG.
Do you love By the Fireplace, but you don’t love the price? Go to Jomashop (I got it for $20), or a similar online retailer…. Wow!!!!!

Alex.The.Caffinated

I much prefer this over by the fire place. It also reminds me of oud mood. This one truly is a beast. My daughter regularly wears this during the cooler months. She will spray it on a 6am and I can still smells it on her when arrives home at 2pm. Big compliment getter! I will repurchase over and over

Kamavaka316

I actually like the opening on this a little bit better than By The Fireplace, but the dry down is amazingly close and performs a lot better as an EDP..great value as an alternative

GingerTea2090

I love it

Milko43

This lasts pretty much forever on clothes.
Didn't like the scent in the beginning, but now I love it.

gourmandlover123

It's a dupe of by the fireplace by Maison Martin Margiela. It's unisex, cheap in price but high in performance and longevity. Absolutely recommend giving it a try!

Munkk1

I recently got this fragrance and it is pretty synthetic all the way trough. It also smells like a scented sauna, meaning those scents that you put in the water you throw. I don't like it that much and it does smell like it costs 20€. It lasts long though and has great projection.

Galactic-incenseYT

Extremely cheap, long lasting, great quality ingredients and smells delicious! Lattafa has really done a great job here! Incensy vanilla in a bottle!

Niko_v

This fragrance carried my sex life these past few months.

Abdo7168

I love it so much;
I blind bought it after I heard a lot of compliments online and saw the notes. When I got it, I immediately fell in love with it! it’s a perfect balance of oud and vanilla.
I’m an middle eastern and I have been smelling a scent close to this one a lot in the mosque and when I got it I shivered, It reminded me of going to the mosque on Ramadan nights(I live in Saudi Arabia so a lot of people wear fragrances yet this is the one that registers so well to my nose), Immediately sprayed it on my praying mat so whenever I pray I smell this wonderful scent. This doesn’t mean that I loved it because it’s middle eastern, I usually dislike heavy oud scents and most Arabian fragrances(except clones). yet this is the only blend I truly enjoy.

Nathan Carpenter

Not sure if I got a dud bottle but this definitely smells like it is $18. Lingers for a few hours but most certainly under average performance. The scent to me is most like EA stronger with you, but I cant call it a clone because it’s just so much weaker on my skin. Pure ethanol opening and it has a bit of an abrasive scent once that fades. When it dries down it’s a decent oud vanilla but still very weak.

montynator667

Bling bought this thinking that it was just going to be a worse version of replica by the fireplace but i was amazed when i first smelled this. In my opinion this smells a lot better and sweeter than by the fireplace. Definitely worth buying!

Thedarkfragrancesxmachine

Warm woody scent that really does a great job of replicating btf.

vctv

very very good got it for like 30 euro and i love it the wood/oud notes arnt to present and the rest is very sweat love it its very long lasting and the sillage is inssane because it is so sweat i think its a winter day fragrance

colsn

Smells extremely masculine and like a man who means business, this is for special cold snowy occasions, also a little headache inducing to me.
6/10

stonkz

Smells exactly like a cozy fireplace on a winter evening. wouldn't wear this casually at all but still a scent worthy of some love on a cozy christmas evening. it emulates that situation perfectly but not my favorite. It kinda smells like if u were to slowly burn a christmas tree. its kinda addictive tho

JLH76

A great straight up By The Fireplace dupe at a fraction the cost.
There are a few subtle differences if you're picky but to the average person they'd be hard pressed to say which was which in a blind test.
And since BTF is a great fragrance so is this one. Love it.

Chumley99

A bold, interesting scent that's not for everyday use but worth buying for sure. The initial spray is a bit harsh, intense and almost off-putting. You'll be thinking "oh no, I sprayed way too much, how do I get it off?!" It mellows a great deal on dry down and it softens quite a bit. I have both this and By the Fireplace and I sort of get the knee-jerk comparison but other than the initial smoke - which isn't that common a scent profile, they are VERY different. I have never once thought of Oud or incense, or spice when wearing BTF. It completely dominates this scent. For roughly $25 USD it's an insane bargain for 100ml. Bottle is top-notch as well.

Punarinta

Smooth round woody notes and sweetness. If there is oud, it doesn't really register to me as that (but also I live in a place where oud really isn't common). The sweetness is less than what i was expecting from the reviews, and it also is more sugary-non-spesific sweetness than vanilla to me. Lasts a good amount of time, but in my opinion this isn't beast mode, it calms down pretty quick after the firsh few minutes. Unisex.

whiskywisteria

I've fallen so madly in love with this scent, that when I got asked by sister in law what is was, I didn't want to tell her. I want to covet it forever. Literally doused myself for 2 consecutive weeks in the Mid Summer heat of NZ. Finally putting it away for cooler months, with huge dent in bottle. Probably won't stay there. This is so beautiful. Sweet sexy burning wood. Swoon 💓

wasabipluhh

Lattafa - Ameer al-Oudh

==PRESENTATION==
I've practically fallen in love with the design of the bottle. The bold orange perfume itsself encased in the clear container as a backdrop for both the English and Abjad to truly shine through, accompanied by the heavy, elegant and undeniably royal cap suits a fragrance for a king. And funny that, considering Amir/Ameer means prince and ruler in Arabic.

==SMELL==
The smell is nothing short of lovely. The burnt sugar and vanilla lay together beautifully together in the beginning and make way for the deep, luscious notes of wood and most importantly oudh. You should let it sit for a while, days if you're impatient but weeks if you can. This reflects a bon fire with a fuel of agarwood and sandalwood coupled with a pot of sugar and vanilla ground finely together roasted during a late night in the Gulf Arab countries.

==SILLAGE==
I can't put into words of how much of an underestimation it was of me underestimating THIS cologne. I didn't know it was authentic and genuinely made in the United Arab Emirates up until purchase (first time buying from Lattafa and they absolutely did NOT disappoint.) and safe to say that they blew me out of the water. Fills up my room, my house, projects the entirety of my classroom to the point where a scent trail was left wherever I went.

==LONGETIVITY==
It's a lattafa product, what did you expect? Lasted the entire day only calming down even in the slightest after roughly 9 hours. Not exactly a nuclear fragrance but maybe it'll get there one day.

==SEASONAL PREFERENCE==
Like I said this is a deep, warm and masculine fragrance. Honestly it yearns for cold weather but I'd think it'd serve equally well for some more moderate chilly days. If you use this in warmer climates you're 1000% setting yourself up for failure.

==GENERAL OVERVIEW==
This perfume is a beautiful piece of art, good smelling, brilliantly projecting and eternally lasting cologne that should be on your radar asap. It's smell is definitely more biased towards me because I'm an Arab Muslim man, and every masjid I've been to smells like a similar sense of sandalwood and oudh. But either way my mother said I smell great right after I sprayed it, and so did all of my non Muslim friends, so it can't just be a familiarity thing.

The complaint I see a lot is from the "overbearing, headache inducing burnt sugar scent" and that it smells like plastic which I think isn't so much the case as is not being accustomed to scents like this + the fact that it smells better after maceration. There's a type of smoke that I smelled in here that I didn't smell in many other colognes that are for this price. Which if I may mention is MIND BOGGLING. Considering the amount of projection, the look, the sillage and above all I'd expect this to run at least above $40, but I copped this at Jomashop for about $20.

GAK15

Just recently received this fragrance and it is amazing for its price. Smells like dessert and rum. The projection is very nice. Smells like Christmas.

percpatroller.frags

sex in a bottle 100% would buy, cheap, amazing, 10/10

mfadhil

BANGER. It was cloying and headache-inducing when I first bought it. I had to shower and scrub my neck to get the scent off. Decided to let it sit and it went much smoother. The harsh notes are gone and left with a smooth 1:1 scent of By the Fireplace by Replica. I had the chance to smell it side to side and they are the same scent.

RobertDb13

To me this is an amazing fragrance, a combination of wood and sweet with very light smoky feel. It smells warm, and it lasts at least 6 hours. Projection is good, it 's more like a male fragrance to me. Immediately after you spray it it's a liitle stingy, but as it dries it smells absolutely amazing. I will give it a 8/10

carameg0727

This is a beautiful combination of sweet and smoky, and I see the similarity to BTF. To me, it's a very warm and comforting scent, perfect for winter. It's priced at a bargain as well 😀

saphireaddams

Me - 5/10, plastic dentist burnt sugar herbal tea that lacks smokiness or uniqueness. Reminds me of red temptation by zara, I would never buy a full bottle. I don't think I'd want my boyfriend to smell of it.
I really think it's a lot more feminine, moderate sillage and longevity (without maceration)

EDIT: Actually, I don't like this at all, because it reminds me of a heavily perfumed oriental tea shop that is sickly. I was expecting fireplace, I got mosque.

ashroloie

Smells gorgeous. Only problem is finding a good time to wear a scent like this. It's like a cold winter night formal scent to me. You couldn't wear this every day unless you love being the center of attention all of the time lol. A single bottle of it will last you a life time easy.

Dan1509

First spray smells like plastic to me, but the dry down is sooo fking good.

So this is REALLY interesting. Not what I was expecting at all. Most people say this smells like burnt sugar and that's pretty much it, along with some mild woods.

Although I do get a lot of burnt sugar and mild woods, I also get a pretty unexpected fruity floral-ness from this. Especially in the dry down, it's surprisingly floral, which I guess may be the "herbal" notes in the base interacting with other ingredients but it is actually really nice and may make this wearable even in warmer weather.

That said, once this starts drying down, that burnt sugar smell comes through really nicely in the sillage - if you smell directly ccloser to the skin, you get more of that burnt wood that you get from BTF. I don't think this is a direct substitute for BTF, but if you like that and would prefer something that's less focused on the campfire smell and more towards say, caramel or sugar, you'll like this. Definitely very interesting and I don't hate it but like I said earlier, that floral note really caught me off guard.

Edit 3: 3 hours after spraying now, and the woods and spices have all but disappeared, leaving me with still about a foot and a half of projection, purely smelling like burnt sugar now. Not a bad thing and definitely not suffocating but I only applied two sprays - I feel like once it gets to this stage, more than 2 sprays is too much to be wearing around other people indoors. Outdoors on a cold day you may be able to get away with 3-4 sprays. For me personally though, I generally only apply 2 sprays of anything to be considerate to other people and this is no exception.

Edit: on skin, the dry down goes much more in the woods direction than floral. I still smell those light white floral notes in the background, but it's mostly woods with some sweetness. I actually quite like this. Surprising for sure, and DEFINITELY worth the money. There is a weird in-between point in the dry down where it goes from the initial sweetness to the woods where it just smells like a chemical jumble. That lasts about 2 minutes and is a bit off putting but the opening and the drydown are wonderful and thankfully that weird mid is very short.

Edit 2: Further into the dry down - about an hour after first application - the sweetness reemerges and this becomes a nice warm, sweet, smoky, woody scent with about a foot of projection. I think longevity wise this will last about 5-6 hours if I had to guess. I'll update again when I can't smell it anymore but for now it's absolutely radiant, perfect for a cool crisp winter or autumn day.

Coming back to this after a week because I found a BTF sample in my collection - this is actually a very good clone, just way stronger. I think the sweetness is really well replicated here and turned up to the max and the wood smoke is stronger as well but leans more towards an oudy wood rather than a burning wood. But really very accurate which is surprising considering it's less than a third of the price.

Fraghag12

Too much OUD. Similar to BTF but missing the chestnut which makes a big difference. I think if maybe Tonka or more woods was in this base, this would balance out.

DateMaru94

Blind buy this as I saw couples of YouTubers & TikTokers recommended this perfume. With a hope that it might be good, But this is not for me. Got a headache with only one or two spray. Might let it macerate for a while as other had suggested below. Maybe it will get better over time.
Please don't blind buy this especially if you are just beginning with your collection. Luckily this is very cheap, got it for less than 13USD.

MykeltiWall

This is the only fragrance my husband will wear. 98% clone of by the fireplace in the dry down, I actually prefer the opening of this. The original can be a little gasoliney in the opening to my nose. This from beginning to end is a gorgeous, sexy, Smokey, vanilla, scent that lasts 6-8 hours on skin and until you wash it on clothes.

chandan1980

It's good also complement getter.

alexandris

I already gave this a review but after months of maceration and trying lots of layering combinations, I can say this increases longevity of other woody, spicy or leather scents when used as a layering agent.

Mostly I used it with Rasasi's Junoon Leather (a beast performer), Tom Ford Oud Wood (not the PB line - grey label, terrible performer), and Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir Parfum (also not a good performer) I can say it helps create an oudy fresh spicy sweet and masculine scent bubble with really good projection with each of those.

brandonR

I don't know anything about the Replica release, so I can't compare, but I do own Lattafa's original, Ameer Al Oudh and their Wood Intense. This one is easily the crowd pleaser of the 3. That said, the original Ameer Al Oudh is still my personal favorite. It just has more of that exotic, "road less traveled" vibe that I like in a cologne/perfume.

For what you pay, you can't beat the quality, along with the full presentation that you get with Ameer Al Oudh Intense. It definitely leans more masculine/spicy, whereas the original is more unisex/smooth. I like the green herbal notes here. Though not super unique, it's just different enough for the collector to pursue.

I'd call this one a perfect blind buy for a guy who likes oud stuff, yet doesn't own a lot of bottles. If you already have a bunch of middle eastern, or middle eastern inspired ouds, you may find this one (like myself) slightly on the redundant side.

Still worthy enough for me to put on the shelf for occasional rotation.

Don't pick up by cap!

8/10

lowki scents

projection - radiates within arms length lasting roughly 2-4 hours of actual projection 5/10
stays on skin for about 8-10 hours (no projection) 8/10
price - well under $50 9/10
memorability - not a generic type of smell will surely have you stand out especially with the oud in there 9/10
overall id rate this a 7/10 because of the the super strong smell you get from start to finish and to make matters worse it doesn't project like you'd think a smell this strong would so skin scent guys I wouldn't recommend this for you and beast mode fragrance guys I wouldn't recommend this to you either id recommend this to a niche snob

Ed Wardian

A princely allspice toffee wrapped in charred wood resins and vanilla, slightly fumed with a bakhoor hint that drifts beautifully cozy especially in the chill... 'Ameer' has a regional rustic DNA that is addictive and IMO above the virtually hyped comparisons! Perfect for those who enjoy measured molasses on their woody.

Scents of Sue

I see comparisons to by the fireplace and vanilla 28. Does this smell similar to Zara supreme vanilla by any chance ?

MySkin

Nope, not a clone, it has a DNA that isn't a stranger to Middle Eastern perfumes.
Smoke, sugar, herbs...
The last (so far) of the Ameers, Ameer Al Oud Intense oud isn't that smokey, this note is very tamed and pleasant.
I wonder what the people who say it smells like rubber have stuck in their noses?!
Well balanced sweetness and just the right amount of vanilla.
I haven't met anyone, man or a woman who hasn't fallen in love with it.
Go figure.

DarthFragrance

I smelled By the Fireplace for the first time not too long ago. I loved it so much that I bought a 100mL and even a backup bottle. It's one of my favorite fragrances. Shortly after, I discovered this fragrance. It's really cheap, so I ordered it since I like this scent profile. It arrived today, and this is definitely a fragrance inspired by By the Fireplace, not a clone. They are both in the same scent profile family, but a lot of what I love about BtF is missing in this. First and foremost, this does not smell like a campfire. It's not smoky, it smells like the listed notes; woods, vanilla and sugar. BtF has so much more depth, complexity, richness and heft which can be too much for some. I love all the facets of BtF. This fragrance here is a toned down, lighter, fresher, safer and more mass appealing version of BtF. BtF is also quite a bit heavier despite being an EDT and this being an EDP. I'll still get some use from this, I really like the fragrance, I just like BtF more. At least I know now I didn't waste my money on BtF and a backup bottle of it since it doesn't have an accurate clone.

Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud could be a flanker of By the Fireplace specifically for the people who complain about the complexity, heft and smokiness of it. If you take a peek at the BtF reviews, it's too much for a lot of people. I think this fragrance would be great for them.

Taking price into account, I'd give this fragrance a 9/10. The scent is outstanding and smells much more expensive than it is. Performance is also very good, I sprayed my forearm 14 hours ago and it's still effortlessly projecting to my nose, that's seriously impressive. It's at this stage that the fragrance is most similar to BtF, when both fragrances are in their far dry down. The fixatives this fragrance is using for longevity and projection are fascinating because they don't smell cheap at all and they never quit. The bottle is nice and hefty with a very heavy metal cap. It makes me wonder how Lattafa can afford to make these great scents with nice presentations and sell them for so cheap. If we are buying this fragrance for $15-$20 from the sellers, how much are the sellers buying it for from Lattafa? $10? Considering the quality of Lattafa's fragrances, I'd say they are extremely pro-consumer and make all other companies look pretty anti-consumer in comparison.

Moonami

Had a negative nostalgic effect. It is not a bad smell really but it just reminded me of my neighbours grandpa from my childhood days.

An old guy who would dress up before going to the prayer and mix oud with incense. He would also shout at the kids in the neighbourhood while they're playing outside!

Radekavuk

There is not much to talk about, fragrance is really sweet, woody and sexy. I cant say that you get what you paid for, because this fragrance is really cheap, but projects like 150€ fragrance...It smells like vanila and sugar on oud set up on low heat. I can really say that its clone of replica by the fireplace because it dont have that smokiness that by the fireplace has.
LONGEVITY IS 8
SILLAGE IS 9
SMELL IS 10(in my opinion)
it gets a lot of compliments.

Bregondo

I've own this perfume for 1 year now. I've been wearing it a lot as a "bedtime fragrance" and as a "comfort perfume". I rarely wear this during daytime. It is strictly a nighttime perfume for me. What I love most is smelling it in the morning when I wake up from bed, I don't know why but there's something addictive about the smell of leather and oud together. 95% of the time, I wear it at home, and everytime I spray this my mother and sisters would comment that it smells really good. When I wear this outside though, people would comment that it smells "very sweet" like they just passed by a "bake shop". This perfume has also changed over time, on top I could smell a really sharp and aggressive saffron now which I really didn't picked up before. The drydown still smells the same: smokey sweet sugary vanilla. In the base, there's a really prominent leather note that wasn't there before, the leather blends perfectly with the oud. Strong projection, and longevity easily lasts 10+ hours.

butterboi

Got this as a new year's present, I never smelled this fragrance or Maison Margiela's by the fireplace. I got surprised by the smell (in a good way) When just sprayed it leaned into more of a femenine fragrance to me, drying down it slowly gets that unisex vibe. Ameer al oudh intense oud is a really good sweet, woodsy fragrance with that subtle scent of roasted marshmallows when drying down. Great for the price it used to be (around 20$) now it's about 30 to 35 dollars so the difference is noticeable, still a great fragrance though.

Muskyflower

This or "oud mood"?

smokysweetangel

Just obsessed with this. It’s so comforting I don’t want to wear or smell anything else.

AstralMatrix

It's clear that Lattafa succesfully made their own version of By the Fireplace.

I'm wearing both fragrances right now, and while they have their obvious differences up close that tell you they're much different compositions, from far they smell so similar, I'd have a hard time guessing which one it is if I smelled them on someone else.

Now, this is a case where I prefer the dupe to the original. The Lattafa fragrance is less sharp and seems to have some kind of progression from opening to drydown.

It's not linear like By the Fireplace, which lacks a certain aromatic, perfumey aspect that in my opinion makes the Lattafa fragrance more wearable.

I'm happy I blind-bought Ameer Al Oudh Intense first. I immediately loved it on first sniff and was blown away by the quality of the ingredients and the nuclear fixative that makes it last over 12 hours on my skin and still project to my nose.

By the Fireplace was gifted to me months later by a friend who liked it but didn't wear it much. It's a fantastic fragrance, but it has so much firewood smoke to it, it gets kind of annoying after a while. I am a freak of that scent, but it's just too much in most situations. I have to be in a specific mood in order to wear it.

Ameer Al Oudh Intense tones the firewood smoke down and balances it with other perfumey notes, so your nose is not getting constantly blasted by that smoke. I can wear it every day and still crave its addictive scent.

If you love the Lattafa fragrance and would like a flanker of it with more saltiness and smokiness, I recommend you By the Fireplace. It's the next level, just as good overall, but better in some ways and more intense and specific.

To finalize, this is the closest dupe to an original fragrance I've ever smelled. For example, you smell all the most popular Aventus dupes, which I've owned, and none smell identical to the Creed fragrance.

You couldn't be fooled if you've smelled Aventus, and if you haven't, you'd still have no idea how Aventus smells. You'd need to sample it.

You could own all of its dupes and not have redundancy. They're so different from each other and all have their unique twists and advantages over the original.

This? If you smell it, you pretty much know exactly how By the Fireplace smells. No need to sample it. They're that close. Unless you want to compare their differences, which to me are only significant upon close inspection, you'd be good just owning Ameer Al Oudh Intense.

I have to commend Lattafa for pulling off their own interpretation of By the Fireplace, which smells so unique, you'd think it would be impossible for another fragrance to smell similar.

This one smells so impressively similar ingredients-wise, if you have one, for the most part you'd be fine without the other unless it's a big deal for you to not miss out on their key differences. For $15.74 on FragranceNet with a 37% off coupon, this is an incredible value.

It has become my go-to fragrance. I take a shower, then look at my many bottles of fragrances to see what sparks my interest.

Even if I intend on smelling something different, most of the time I still end up choosing to wear Ameer Al Oudh Intense over everything else. I literally crave it. So freakin' weird. I'd drink it if I could!

JRLT

Not the biggest fan of how prevalent the sugar note is on the dry down but overall the scent profile is a less smoky but more sweet Replica by the fireplace. Longevity is great for the price point, do not expect this to be heavy in the oud/woodiness department. This is a unique and intimate scent perfect for winter.

To my nose, this is smoky, then woody, then vanilla, then boozy. It smells really close to Kayali Vanilla, if the vanilla was in the forefront rather than the smokiness. With Kayali, the smokiness is more subdued and the vanilla is more pronounced and sweeter, but the notes are so similar. I am surprised there aren't any votes for similarities between these two. If there's only one, it's just me. Ameer Al Oud is a great scent, especially for the price. Lasting power is phenomenal, and it does have that over the Kayali. It's a bit richer as well. But imo, you wouldn't need both.

Err @IgotExpensiveHabits check my review mentioning leather just below yours 🤣

IgotExpensiveHabits

Why is no one mentioning the leathery nuance?
This is one of two perfumes I have with a smooth leathery nuance(like a far off tack room).
I love this fragrance it is very Smokey that is the strongest note, at first the sweetness is intense but it dries down less sweet more leathery and yes powdery but like confectioners sugar not beauty powder or makeup. It is sweet, but definitely unisex as my husband could pull it off.
The smell is fall, if you grew up with a wood stove this will give you that nostalgia of that with dark brown molasses-y sugar and a faint herbal note, that medicinal herbal note I tend to HATE(I am getting rid of my Perles de Lalique for this same reason that patchouli in it just got too medicinal and zings in the cold) in this it is so so mellow and blended you pick up on it but appreciate it in passing as the other notes overwhelm you.
The oud is blended with the vanilla and other woods so well I cannot pick them completely apart but it is an obvious woody oud it goes with the other woody scents, the herbal note could even be a bit pine-ish. (Idk what a barnyard oud is I’m afraid to find out this is my second oud fragrance)
This is my sweetest scent however I do not enjoy candy juvenile scents, I don’t even like gourmands 9/10 times. But the sweet notes in this are so much like brown sugar I can’t say no to this it is fall and winter for sure I have to see how this performs in the heat but I have burned through an eighth of the bottle in less than a month so I may have to get another by the time the weather warms.
This layers with SHALIMAR EDP and/or Narciso Rodriguez Poudree EDP. They all have warm woody fall/winter cozy vibes.
I like to spray this on the back of my hands and the tops of my knees so I can smell wafts of it throughout the day.
I work 8 hours and I find myself reapplying this after lunch. Smell overpowers in a small space.
You maintain your own smell in a crowd for sure.

DESJava

Ameer Al Oud Intense is the lighter waterdown version of Majd Al Sultan from Asdaaf. I have both and test it out side by side. Majd Al Sultaan is thicker, denser and smokier which i sometimes can't handle it and wear it only if it's freezing cold outside, while Ameer Al Oud is more wearable and easy to layer with other fragrances. Performance and Sillage is also less than Majd Al Sultan.

sal1989

It’s probably my fault that I did not listen to the reviews saying this is more of a male scent, but since I love all the notes mentioned (and I expected it to be heavy on the vanilla), I blind bought this one. I would say it is not a safe blind buy, it is smoke, smoke, smoke with a hint of woodiness followed by more smoke! I cannot detect oud nor vanilla (at least at first, not sure how this develops as I couldn’t even bear wearing it for 5 minutes). No idea about longevity, sillage is intimate to moderate I would say. If you like sweet scents and you’re here for the vanilla, this is not for you! If it gets better, I’ll give it to my dad, he might enjoy it more. Made me never want to blind buy a perfume ever again!

MSKMAN

Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud by Lattafa is a highly comforting fragrance. The scent opens up with a sweet, smokey vanilla praline/chestnut accord that lasts throughout the wear. As the fragrance develops, you get more of the woody, smokey aspect without the noticeable use of cade oil or burning incense. The fragrance is linear and reveals itself within the first 15 minutes of the fragrances, so not much in terms of transitions, but WOW, what an enchanting scent! The comfort level is off the charts. Performance is next level for Ameer Al Oudh Intense. This fragrance projects and lasts 9 hours plus on the skin.

qofb

This is a warm and gently spiced sweet vanilla fragrance. It's got saffron noticeably but it's not screechy, plasticky or off-putting for me like it is in other Lattafa fragrances. The warmth here is like the when people grate nutmeg on top of festive drinks, that kind of warmth. This does have a slight leatheriness to it but it's light and really it's the almost sugary sweet resinous woody, perhaps even nutty vanilla that really shines through. This feels gourmand and rich.

I've had this for two years now and this fragrance holds the title of the only Lattafa I still own and like, I've decluttered two, and sampled about another 5. This is well worth trying for £12 or whatever I picked it up for. However can we all please agree, that at that price, there is not any oud here! ...A synthetic oud accord perhaps, but no oud 😉 I don't really smell anything too overtly oudy here, so if you hate that, you might not hate this.

Mohammadhashim81979

Middle between western and eastern oud , sweety , blended with wood .

Performance is very solid , longevity and projection as well.

Value for money is amazing ,yes its a little bit synthetic , yet in a way not annoying at all.

I like it so much , and because of its very good price , I am relying on it a lot in winter and autumn.

davidross

This stuff is so strong I can smell it after taking a shower. One spray is enough to give me a headache if I put it on my neck or collarbones. It is very smokey, very sweet, and very cloying. I get tired of this scent quickly with how cloying and sweet it is. The oud is loud. This is definitely a mature fragrance. While it smells great and intriguing, I just cannot think of any scenario where this is a good pick. I'll hang on to my bottle but it's definitely not a favorite.

pejatibia

Our exploration begins with a woody aroma with a scent reminiscent of burnt sugar cubes that fills the air. This initial impression is beautifully complemented by a subtle hint of spiced freshness, adding a layer of complexity and intrigue to the fragrance's opening act.

Later, its character reveals a captivating linearity. The initial sugary sensation, reminiscent of a cozy winter evening by the fire, gradually gives way to the star of the show — the oud. This oud note is imbued with a smokey quality that doesn’t overwhelm but rather enhances the overall sensory experience. It whispers its presence, adding an enigmatic aura to the wearer, akin to the soft, mysterious glow of embers in a fireplace.

This fragrance is particularly enchanting during nighttime forest walks. Its bold and pronounced sillage weaves a captivating presence, making it an ideal companion for winter wear. The scent's character shines in the crisp air, its smokey and woody notes creating an alluring trail, reminiscent of a mystical journey through time and space. In complete drydown, the woody oud takes center stage, leaving a legacy that's both memorable and mesmerizing.

In essence, Ameer al Oudh Intense Oud by Lattafa is perfect for those who seek a scent that combines the comforting embrace of warm notes with the intriguing depth of smoky oud, it's an olfactory odyssey that promises to be as epic as it is enchanting. I think the bottle generously offers more than the declared 100 ml, a pleasant surprise for us.

My go to winter fragrance. Once I got my nose on this it was love at first sniff. Definitely carries in the winter breeze, I can smell the fragrance flare up whenever I am hit with a cool breeze. The fragrance projects a long way without being over powering but I would use a moderate number of sprays. The next day I will still pick up notes of toasted marshmallow, delicious.

Apaolone04

I bought this under the impression it would be a dupe for By the Fireplace but it’s not even close to my nose. The first thing I thought of when I sprayed this was Instant Crush by Mancera and Raghba by Lattafa. I own Raghba and enjoy it. Instant crush kinda smells like BR540 but more sharp/woody and personally I don’t like that fragrance at all. There’s something very synthetic about this fragrance, I get motor oil and rubber tire notes. I wish I smelled what most people do, I can see the parts of this fragrance that are enjoyable like the sweetness. Lovely bottle and it has great strength but maybe the oud is what’s bothering me. I have other oud fragrances but I think this one probably has the most oud and I’m not used to it. It’s also a bit too masculine for me.

Leota Labs

"Heavy but smooth" woody smoky vanilla with a sweet ending. It seems familiar but is distinctly different, where I imagine the Arabic "heaviness" comes in vs what I'm used to in the west. At $20. you should try it for winter. I should update this later, because this one has the feel of organic complexity.

spyturtle

I own this and I’m wearing it today. I’ve never thought it smelled much like By The Fireplace. Coincidentally I was a department store today smelling different fragrances when I tried Atkinson’s Oud Save The King. Thought to myself “hmm, well that smells awfully familiar”. Oh yeah, I’m wearing it.

Look I’m not an expert so maybe I was just picking up the oud in each frag, but I’d say this definitely smells a lot more like Oud Save The King than it does By The Fireplace. BTF smells straight up like roasting marshmallows and graham crackers over a campfire. Ameer has a lot more harsh spiciness going on, not to mention the oud. It’s an okay fragrance but not among my favorites.

Porsche9!

Good but too strong sugar note. Dark sugar sweet oud.
Probably unisex. Unlike reviewer beneath me I would say its surprisingly simple and linear.

I got a little confused by another Lattafa fragrance that I'm also testing out today, so bear with me.

The woodsmoke in Ameer al Oudh Intense is the star. It's comforting, like a fire that's been banked for the night.

The combination of woodsmoke, oud, and sandalwood makes this unlike any other fragrance I've tried. It's a little sweet, but not too much. It's definitely smoky, but there's enough sweetness to keep me from feeling like I've escaped a house fire. For as few notes as it claims, Ameer Al Oudh Intense is surprisingly complex. It's a quiet cuddle of a spray.

m2uj

This actually smells REALLY GOOD, i get sweet vanilla, wood, and a smoky thing to it? pretty sure its burnt wood but its very low key. If ur looking for an oud, woody & sweet winter scent this one is a really good one especially for the price.
10/10 scent wise, performance is decent.

Nagla Studen

Smells like Agda (a sugar and lemon syrup that coats almost every Middle Eastern dessert). I had to have it because it has my name on it. No smoke whatsoever and only a hint of Agarwood. Long lasting and solid projection, but you WILL smell like a dessert. I don't understand the people that claim it is a BTF dupe.

UglyGeezer

It's a nice scent, but there are better and smokies Fireplace dupes.

This is a pleasant, strong, sweet scent with subtle woody notes.

It lacks the real bonfire vibe of the original.

[email protected]

Yep, this is a nice one!... a Lightly Ouded Vanilla spiced with a Smoked Honey... Spray and go... a very pleasant fragrance... Not Mind Blowing but very Wearable! and for $25... I cannot complain! I you have any experience with Middle Eastern Scents this one is easy blind buy...

inyourface23456

1;1 by the fireplace but the after a couple of hours (lasts a long time) if you overspray the oud smells rly bad

MySkin

I just don't understand why people buy Middle Eastern scents and complain they can't pull them off in their environment.
Ameer al Oud is a fragrance of its own, I wouldn't say it is a dupe, might remind you of another perfume but that's just it.
It is a gorgeous, unisex scent, easy to wear and for any occasion and weather.
Just don't bathe in it.
Sweet, a tad bit smokey with just about the right amount of herbal notes to balance the sweetness.
It's rather simple yet rich fragrance. Very sexy.
If you had different expectations because you thought it's a dupe, that's nothing to do with the reality.
I live in Europe and I can pull it off anywhere.
I mean anywhere.
Today I had two of my clients asking what perfume it is and didn't waste time ordering it online while still in my office.
It is a 10 out of 10 for me.

FFCookie

Very strong oud scent, long lasting and silage!

madieraman

This is a tough one for me to rate, because for what it's supposed to be it's very good, I just can't think of a situation where this could be worn. Anyone saying this is a unisex scent that can be worn for any occasion are out of their minds. This is a masculine scent that would only work in specific situations. This is not something you would wear to brunch on a summer morning, it's not a casual everyday scent, it's not a "sexy" scent to wear on date night or clubbing, it's not an office scent because of how strong the scent is, I don't know where this fits in.

Definitely not unisex. When women try to pull off scents like this they just smell bad and unattractive.

It's scent is Middle Eastern incense and spices. This has a large projection and if you walk into a room wearing it people are going to start looking around wondering if someone is burning incense.

I sprayed it on my hand and after about an hour, and washing my hands, the scent really smoothed out and a lot of the harsh incense smell went away and it took on a creamy smell.

Marshmallow oud, which sounds crazy, but it works for me.

R4N

I bought it only because of the good reviews. On YouTube and even here as well: "Perfume rating 4.29 out of 5 with 1,754 votes". At first i HATED the smell of it. The projection and Longevity were so strong I tried rubbing the smell of with soap and water because i hated the smell and still the smell didn't come off. After 3 weeks that the bottle macerate the smell changed and it smells AMAZING. I really recommend this one. Great performance, price, scent.

Deekerr16

Really does smell like soot/ash from a nice campfire. It doesn't inherently have warmth to it which is why it may come across as synthetic but if you've smelled your sweater the morning after a campfire, that's the kind of smokiness to expect. So in that sense I think it is realistic, you smell like you were just at a campfire. And then having some sugary sweetness in there takes it from outdoorsy to more sexy. Great performance too. You might not be able to wear it all the time for every occasion, but you'll certainly want to.

FourLeaf

To be honest, It doesn't really smell like By The Fireplace. It doesn't have that smokiness that BTF has and is way sweeter. It's a really good fragrance on it's own, and 100% worth picking up. A relatively safe blind buy, but not for everyone. The opening hits you with a lot of sweetness and vanilla, the oud and woody notes step forward during the drydown and tone down the sugary opening a bit. It will cut through cold weather easily, and will be too cloying in warm weather. Perfect for late fall nights and winter days.

#369 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

This is one of 30 Lattafa scents I purchased a year ago which have sat on the shelf unopened until this week. Ameer al Oud Intense Oud is the third alphabetically, but I've let eight of their scents jump the line and so far they are three for eight: Oud Mood, Raghba, Ramz Silver, all fine scents I've kept. Ramz Gold, great scent, too feminine for me, but the trans barista at my coffee shop who inherited it really likes it. Blue Oud, Opulent Oud, Wazeer. Not worth my shekels. Fakhar Black-only if you're a YSL fan. I've never bought any YSL scent twice and gave Fakhar away. Not a bad scent, just not one I'd ever reach for.

So let's roll. Ameer al Oudh Intense Oud is a winter scent for sure and it's time has come. For those that go by similarity in making your decision, yes this is very close to Maison Margiela "By the Fireplace." So close it fooled me into thinking something was burning in the fireplace. Noticeably less complex, but if you've sampled By the Fireplace you have the idea. I like that scent. I don't like it's EDT performance. I have the same complaint about their fabulous Jazz Club scent. No endurance. This fragrance certainly corrects that. Personally, I can tolerate more sweetness and florals and so I marginally prefer Lattafa Oud Mood and Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud and their better, woodier, darker performance to BTF, even though I usually can't stand anything like the rose note in Oud Mood.

Oud Mood projects more, like an IMAX, than Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud. But I think both Oud Mood and Ameer al Oudh Intense project enough to be obnoxious in any close space like a carpool or elevator and I think inappropriate for most office environments. If you have one of these, having both would be redundant. I'll be deciding which to keep and which to donate to the men's shelter next month. Both fragrances are for after hours, and used sparingly, for way after hours, though for date night I'd give Oud Mood the nod. But for meeting someone at an outdoor cafe for coffee, lunch or dinner on a cool day? They'll pick up the scent of either one and be intrigued, not repelled.

Peaches&Cream

Ameer Al Oudh smells so cozy and warm, it smells so good when worn on a cold day. I smell sweet, woodsy and powdery. I get the Oudh as well..the notes blends so well, it almost smells like a log with sugar sprinkled on it burning. It lasts throughout the entire day on me, I have to scrub it off after a shower since I do still smell it. I enjoy this fragrant a lot and I am happy to have it in my collection. It is definitely unisex and I paired it with Warm Vanilla Sugar from BBW.

AllThatJaZZ

Hats off to Lattafa for such a great perfume, Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud will do nicely for the upcoming winter. Smelling it up close it feels unrefined and poorly put together, letting it make its way to you feels way better. Couple of sprays on arms it will radiate nicely and feels almost niche like with the typical middle eastern woody oud note with the vanilla balancing out the rest to give that chocolatey smell. Long lasting performance, affordable price and a nice looking bottle…

smokysweetangel

This is so good. Blind bough this for 20€ because I liked the notes. Haven’t smelled By The Fireplace because they didn’t have the tester at Sephora, so I don’t know if this smells similar.
I’d describe this perfume as warm, sweet, sexy, nighttime. It’s unique but very likeable. Edit: I get a note that resembles the smoke machines they have at fairs. Maybe a bit like shisha too?.
EDIT: I was told by my classmate that for the past 3 days I’ve smelled like pepper spray and he can’t stand it, he asked what perfume I was wearing so he doesn’t buy it. I was only wearing 4 sprays. His breath literally stinks but I didn’t tell him that. I know many comments said this fragrance isn’t appropriate for office wear but it’s winter and I like it so I don’t care.

NLFragrance

Beautifully made fragrance, definitely autumn/winter leaning. Smells very delicious and personally I don’t find it overpowering and have received many compliments wearing this.

paynejr31

This is my favorite cold weather scent. Smokey woods with a touch of sweetness this is gold. Honestly I like it better than the OG (By The Fireplace) and much better than the Raghba Wood Intense. It's that touch of sweetness that makes this so good over the OG and RWI just smells like burnt rubber over dirty carmel.

Mayaxxx

In the first sniff I said OMG this is wonderful absolutly BTF clone. I decided to order more bottles. Ieft the shirt and comeback a few hours later. that was awful. very strong nauseous oud that bothered me. and way way sweet. I love By the fireplace but this one was a terrible blind buy. I don't know whta to do. Maybe layer with something bitter

alexandris

This scent reminds me of Istanbul. Oudsy, somewhat Middle Eastern, people love it without regarding its overpowering bad sides and beautiful.

Got my Margiela BTF from Copenhagen in 2018, barely used it because I am terrified of finishing the bottle. BTF makes you feel like you enjoy a really nice Northern European evening, having a luxury dish, drinking vine among your most beloved friends next to a fireplace.

While this one makes you feel like: you thought it was going to be strictly Middle East, but now you've seen and know that isn't true, you had a bit too much Baklava, now you are going to have a fancy dinner in a historical wooden building and after dinner you are going to enjoy one or two cocktails. Time flows, as you're thinking about living cheap and living well there until the end of your days.

Breaks your prejudices, a bit too sweet but very enjoyable, absurdly good quality for its price, most of it smells delicious (the oud is smokier than it should be) but what the hell, it feels good, and you want some more. Trust me, it's Istanbul in a bottle.

8/10.

letoumit33

This fragrance isnt a replica btf clone it's its own thing...its woodier darker and more masculine heavy on the oud but it not animalic.i think i pick up some saffron and leather in the background
It opens kinda sharp with the oud note but i like it then dries into a nice burnt marshmallow with a touch of woods and oud...its good quality
And the performance is rlly good about 8 to 9 hours with great projection.

AymenScentLover

I bought this because it was HYPED over social media and here. For personally is WEAK. intimate sillage and longvity is like less than 6 hours. This is my personal experience. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Flameseeker

I'm exploring oud fragrances lately so I decided to buy a sample of this. This is a wonderful woody, sweet vanilla kind of scent for winter. Maybe a bit too sweet for regular wear but more something for special occasions.

I recently tried Oud for Glory as well, and I prefer this. I think this is less exotic and more wearable. There's more vanilla and it's smoother and woodier, ofg is spicier and heavy on the saffron.

Edit: I got a sample of MM's By the Fireplace and this is like 80% similar. This is slightly woodier and more exotic because of the oud, and less roasty/smoky and lacking the chestnut smell. With the huge price difference though this is worth serious consideration.

kobase2000

Blind buy, followed the BTF vibe and bought it. A bit disappointed, too middle eastern for my liking. Dry down is really nice nonetheless.

KellyTheStew

I love By The Fireplace, so I ordered a 10mL decant of this looking for a less expensive alternative. Unfortunately, I'm not getting that realistic woodsmoke scent that BTF has. But don't get me wrong; this is a nice fragrance! Very woody and sweet. Maybe "smoky" in the way that burning incense is. This is also missing that roasted chestnut quality that BTF has.

Is it possible that I need to let my decant rest and age for a bit? Yeah, probably. But as of right now, I'm of the opinion that this is not a BTF clone but, instead, its own inspired fragrance.

Angelo422

smells very artificial and very mid tier

MoreScentsThanDollars

Not as sweet and yummy as I imagined 😋
Was hoping it would be more a smokey version of raghaba .
It's quite nice but more masculine than I was anticipating.
I was so excited I went and ordered two bottles, doh!
Not to bad, but I'll have to layer it with tobacco vanille to sweeten it up.

Update: this one has started to change into everything I imagined.
Super sweet, deep, gorgeous smokey, vanilla wood.
I originally wasn't to sure when I read that many of these middle eastern fragrance need time for maceration, but now I'm a believer. 🥰👍🙏

Metallord

I got this a year ago. Used about 5 ml and since then it's has matured beautifully. It's slightly smoky and boozy up top. The oud note in here is kind of subtle and palatable. I get tonnes of caramel, vanilla and roasted chestnut. Amazing considering the price. Also, it's a beast mode fragrance. On clothes lasts easily for 24+ hrs and 14+ hrs on skin. If you sell this stuff inside expensive designer bottles no one would bat an eye but since its 'lattafa' snobs won't be appreciating it. The quality is at par with expensive designer perfumes, but that's post maturation/maceration.

AEyup

Got sucked into the hype and blind bought this, i found it to be a little bit too dry and smoky for me. I thought it would grow on me but on the contrary, everytime i go back to it i find myself enjoying it less. I expected it to be more creamy, warm and smooth, but it is sweet in a harsh and dusty way - it is depressing.

No complaints with performance (which is a bad thing for someone who doesn't like it!), bottle is high quality for the price point.

There is a perfume called Oudain from the same house which is in the same vein with Ameer Al Oudh Intense, very similar vibes but i liked Oudain more, it is livelier and a more delicious scent overall.

mfjuho

This is kind of like how by the fireplace smells but made more wearable and mass appealing. The fake oud in this gives the same smoky touch that is in BTFP but in a middle-eastern way. The sweetness is amped up tenfold from what I remember of BTFP.
If BTFP smells like marshmallows on a bonfire, this smells like marshmallows coated in vanilla sugar cooked on a middle-eastern lighter. That analogy kind of tells you the difference in quality as well.
For me the opening is a sugary horrorshow, but when you get past that this smells like a sweeter by the fireplace but not as smoky.

For me BTFP is more my style as I like more classically masculine smells. But this is absolutely a great option as well.

Amen! Hallelujah!

Ok, it is uncanny how cheap this gem is. Can I feel good about myself spritzing myself with a $15 perfume (I kid you not) before bed time for creamy, ambery, vanilla sweet comfort and mind relaxation? A full 100ml bottle for that price, no less! That is on par in quality, sillage and projection with Armani's (6 times more expensive) Stronger With You? Hell yeah I can! It is unbelievable how Lattafa is able to be churning out these cheapies of very good quality, given the price, which sometimes are juts unbelievably beautiful and well, affordable for everyone. Were I a poor high school student this would've been my staple for that affordable price. It is sweet and creamy-blamy and some might say Arabian kind of sticky and cloying, but the dry down is really everything. As I said before, for me it is a bit heavy and sweet Oudh linear for daily or evening wear, but as a comfort scent before bed time it is marvelous! I wouldn't be apposed to wearing it outside either if I find the right, wintery, occasion. Which I'm sure I will soon! LOVE from me!

qinny

Smells very similar to BTF by MM. However, the woodsy notes here stand out a bit more. As with most Arabic perfumes, this is STRONG. One spray is all you need. Any more than that, you will suffocate people. I can't really see an occasion to wear this except for really cold days; it will choke you and others around if you wear it in high heat. Even though I enjoy this fragrance, it is so STRONG that I tend to sneeze and develop an itchy nose whenever I wear it. This happens with all Middle Eastern perfumes for me.

Moeebra

I haven’t smelt the original By the Fireplace but this is truly something special. The first 2-3 times I used it, it wasn’t anything grand but the more time my nose spent with this fragrance the more I fell in love with it. One of those sweet smoky scents that bring you to your knees. 10/10

indigo777

love love love this fragrance. i am a big fan of BTF and this smells even better in my opinion, at a fraction of the price. as the name implies the oud is intense, but as a lover of oud i am very pleased. the vanilla is bold and creamy in the dry down and paired with oud i always find this combo reminiscent of fresh baked goods, even a little gingerbread like. i love it! i’m not getting the killer longevity everyone mentions, i apply it before work and when i get home eight hours later i can only smell it if i shove my nose into my arm. as for the silage i have gotten no comments on it that would imply to me that others can smell it, i get a whiff when if i am bending down to reach for something, i would say it has an intimate silage at least on my skin. i’m excited to see how it evolves the longer i have the bottle. definitely worth the price! i have also layers this with Eilish EDP and they make a wonderful combo.

swang

literally sprayed the juice yesterday about 5pm and after waking up l can still smell it very clearly on my hand at 7:30 am guys! da bomb! smells very good :)

zaimazhar

Simply one of the best sweet woody perfume for one eighth fraction price of BTF.

Some might argue it smells a little bit 'middle-eastern' but the vanilla notes took care of it and makes the perfume even more balanced. The only issue would be is it is not a mass-appealing perfume, wearing this in the mall got me some weird frowns and my mates mentioning the stench that I am carrying.

mosquitosprayer221

might be one of the best cheapest fragrances from lattafa. After my first spray, i got the smell of wood and also oud (agarwood) . When it starts to dry, i got a hint of vanilla, sweet and woody smell. And after it dried down completely, which is the best stage in my opinion, it has a strong smell of vanilla and wood and a very sweet pleasant smell which i also got a massive amount of compliments from. Furthermore, its performance is insane. the projection is strong according to the people in my surroundings and it also lasts really long.

Imran_Sholeh

After it arrived to me I tested it it was very harsh. I let it macerate and when I try using it it was a miracle. It smell like sweet and vanilla after that follow up with woody. It is better to wear this on night and it have 12h longevity on my skin and md projects really well

SimplDude

I believe this one is pretty potent cause I got nose blinded easily. It’s a warm and comforting scent similar to the original but not a one to one dupe. But for the price and the potency, this is a bang for your buck if you like MM by the fireplace. At about $22 for 100 ml. you can’t go wrong with this.

9/10 🙌

AlbusTran

Yes, it has the same vibe but not a dupe of "By the Fireplace". It's more sweet, less woody and for that, it is easier to use than BTF. If you want a cheap alternative of BTF, just go for Zara's Bohemian Out - a really solid choice. But you want a Christmas/candle/warmholiday vibe with a better longevity/sillage, go for Lattafa Intens Oud. I got this for less than 20$ - a bang for my buck. I gonna leave my By the Fireplace bottle for special occasions and use this instead. In fact, many of my friends cannot tell the different when they smell in the air.

Md jahidul Islam

It's a very sweet perfume. Comfortable pleasing smell. Wear it on evening party. Specially mix it up with any strong citrus perfume and thank me later

elyssium

This is the smoothest oud frag you could ever smell to date with creamy sweet notes but not sickly sweet. Definitely a sweeter, gourmandish version of MMM By The Fireplace but not a clone...it holds its own. It starts initially with a sharp sweet-soury nondescript note at the opening then gives off this pleasant smokey Play-Doh aroma minutes after. Middle stage gives me wafts with a slight BR540 vibe for some reason. At the drydown, that is where the BTF smoky vibe comes to play. Long lasting 8-10hrs with a nice, ample projection to boot. With such high-quality ingredients for a fraction of the price of bottle of an expensive French niche fragrance with equally matched strength & performance, how can you go wrong? No wonder it's sought after & always sold out online because it's so good & so affordable. Do yourself a favour & grab it while its hot peeps, its that good!

Nx3mk

This is the only review you should read and 100% believe, ignore the reviews that say its a little bit of a oud fragrance, like the name it really is a oud fragrance, this fragrance opens up to a oud, woody and sweet scent, dries down to an even more sweet, vanilla, woody and oud scent

This fragrance can be occasional, it's strong, smells good, amazing especially for the price

Wear this on a date, family meetings or fancy places (special occasions in general)

Scent 9.5/10
Longevity 8/10
Projection 9/10

Kaxq

This is one of the greatest cheapies I have had the pleasure to smell. It is literally the warmest and most cuddly fragrance for cold days or date night. For the price you pay there is almost nothing better that you could buy.

Karimsabry99

This fragrance is amazing, amazing performance
Longevity 8/10
Sillage 8/10

Sweet and so fancy fragrance for fall and winter, it is amazing you can get something this good with that price

That review below was HILARIOUS! 😄 Anyway, Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud smells to me not similar, but reminds me of the best aspects of my two favorite Lattafa fragrances: Qaa'ed and Khaltaat Al Arabia Royal Blends.

I don't know what it smells like notes-wise other than sweet, salty, smokey and roasted, because it's very synthetic-smelling.

However, I opine it's of the good synthetic smells; rounded, smooth and pleasing. Nothing chemical or off-putting about it to my nose.

Smells like a dessert is cooking in a wood fire. Even the scent feels warm to my nose and there is this uncanny wood smoke aftersmell/nosefeel when I exhale.

This fragrance is making me hungry. 🤤 I'm glad I got two bottles of this. One I'm reviewing is a November 2022 batch. The other is from March 2023 and I hope it won't smell different.

I would call Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud a non-descript gourmand fragrance, he-he.

I'm legit getting hungry, like when walking through the mall and smelling those candied almonds or fried donuts. 😁 This fragrance from far away hits my nose similarly.

If you disliked Khamrah because it smelled too feminine and powdery and you want something that sweet and weird but that goes a totally different way, I suggest you check this one out.

This is thankfully in my opinion not potentially cloying like it, but I find it even sweeter than Joop Homme, so know that if you tend to get nauseous or dizzy by overly sweet fragrances. This smells like you could drink it.

I love Khamrah, but it gets annoying after a while; opens so nice but eventually gets too powdery and feminine on my skin.

Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud makes me even more happy than Khamrah and is irresistibly sniffable! 😌

richmilton

I would imagine this smells like a female camel in heat that just rolled around in a pile dung near a burning bush a male camel just pissed on to mark his territory before smashing.. It seems a better name would be Camel Ass Intense, EDP

ercooleee

Beautiful drydown, base is what's worth waiting for. Opening is nuclear! but just wait for 15-20 minutes, then it shines! sits on skin really long and projects pretty well (lasts forever on clothes). If you don't like overly sweet scents don't recommend buying this one, though as for 18$ it's a total banger! when it comes to the comparison to BTF, gotta admit, drydown is way better here, also this one lasts longer. Gonna wear this one below 10 Degrees Celsius.

flbaptiste2

Too sweet! I do agree that it's intense. Only one spray needed. I gave it to my son. If it weren't so strong, I'd have kept it for myself and added a feminine scent with it.

Watchesnscents147

I just got into fragrances. Like couple days ago lol. And this is my first buy. I blind bought because of the hype. I can't wait to smell it and make my first review ever.

Betocarlos1104

Great buy, great cologne

aliquidengineer

just started buying fragrances and this is my first bottle. kinda weirded out when first sprayed, i can smell woods, spices, and little bit of alcohol but fell in love as it dries down. woody sweet vanilla. I live in a tropical country so i just use this at night time but i think its also okay to use it in daytime, just be mindful on the amount of sprays. i haven't tried replica by the fireplace so cannot compare the two. bought this for only 19 usd.

Vanilla-Oud with Freshly-Cut & Sweet Woods...

In the first couple of minutes I get the oud, and already vanilla is swelling through. As the sillage opens up, I get some dry woody notes, and again I'm struck by the sweetness of the vanilla. Transitioning into the heart, the vanilla sweetens further, and takes on an additional faintly creamy tone, which is supported by the creamy sandalwood in the base. In the oud-y base there's an soft herbal note with fresh & medicinal facets that serves to freshen the woods to where they seem freshly cut but not dusty. The oud is fairly tame here, and in the long drydown there's a faint ambroxan note on the skin. Overall I get a sweet & fresh vanilla-wood & oud scent. This has excellent performance for year round wear, but the sweeter woody profile make it most appropriate for spring through fall or chilly nights.

Contrast to Aoud Vanille Mancera:
These are different, although there are similarities with oud, vanilla & woods. However, Aoud Vanille is more complex and has stronger performance, with an oud-ier presence up front.

Overall: gorgeous sweet & fresh vanilla-wood & oud scent with excellent performance. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Luigi408

Wow this has to be one of my favorite cheap perfume in my collection. At first I wasn’t too impressed with the opening but after 10 to 15 minutes I was hooked. Everything is very smooth and blended well. The projection is not massive but it last a long time. 10 hours later I get whiffs of delicious wood notes. The dry down is fantastic and it is perfect for fall/winter season. Highly recommend picking this up.

2whit2quit

I get black pepper when I initially spray this, then it settles down and just when you think it’ll remain spicy woody, it goes sweet on you. I don’t know what BTF smells like to compare. This was a blind buy and at its low price, I was excited regardless. We’ll see how this performs on skin as the weather gets cooler.

Old_SnakeTwitch

Yuck, would be good if the herbal note mixed with the "oud" didnt come off as some weird green leather. Like if your around a fireplace but some weirdo in a suit of green leather is NPC standing in the middle of the room for no reason and your like gtfo of my house scent and they just keep standing there
It's not a clone of anything. If your looking for a BTF clone the only one is Campfire by Emir.
Regular Ragbha is easily the closest to BTF but it's pretty cloying

anaro

This is an excellent scent for the price. It’s a sweet, wet, woody scent, though it isn’t a clone, but for $25-30, it’s great for the money. Like most frags at this price, they have weird openings; once it dries, it’s a superb sweet, woody scent, though it doesn’t smell like By the Fireplace. This lasts forever on clothes and 8-10 hours on the skin; it also projects like crazy with four sprays max.
Solid frag 8.5/10

Lattafa Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud! How to say?
Woof! Very, very Intense...
A little aggressive opening to my nose!
The woody notes await you from the start, Oud, Calamba wood (very strong smell, used as incense) and smoke, are the saturated top notes.
A rather ferocious combination, absolute intensity, without being animal.
The middle notes then melt the sweet sugar into a vanilla that I won't be able to describe.
The base notes are again dominated by oud wood, combined with sandalwood...
I don't think I'll ever wear it. Unless, I decide to go on winter vacation to Syberia!
A unisex, powerful fragrance. Almost a liquor...

teacat68

I tried this over a year ago thinking it would be similar to BTF... IT IS NOT!
I can't for the life of me understand how anyone could say this is remotely similar to 'By The Fireplace'. They are on different planets. Ok this is woody...but that's it. It has that nasty Eastern plasticky thing going on that I can't get past.
Even for the great price, I still found it disappointing. A scrubber in fact.
(I used mine up as a room spray over a few months)
Definitely not a safe blind buy if you've actually smelled BTF and are expecting something close.
DISCLAIMER: Just my opinions.
EDIT: Smells VERY similar to another fragrance by Maison Alhambra (also part of Lattaffa) called Exclusif Tabac (not on Fragrantica). That too has that cheap plasticky aroma that dominates everything else in it. I got sold on it by a youtuber saying how good it was.
I will never buy a U.A.E fragrance again. Just awful.

Marcoronie73

Amazing perfume, smells like you are near a fire place. Very smokey and very addictive. Perfect for winter! Absolutely worth every penny.

Semsir

This fragrance is actually very pleasant after the strong opening. I think its quite sofisticated and a no brainer for around 25 dollars.

Wael'Sniffing

This is the type of oud scent that I would put between two burger buns and eat it. SO DELIC !

LostSock

I had a 10ml decant of this for testing as for me MM fragrances are always hit or miss, I love some, I dislike others, none of them are in the middle.

A lad in my pool team asked me what I was wearing as he liked it, next week he came in wearing it, or at least I thought. He'd bought this stuff. Not quite as smoky as By The Fireplace, and much sweeter, has a real golden syrup vibe to it. The opening is spicier too, then it dries down to the BTF scent.

I genuinely prefer this to the frag it's cloning. Stuck my BTF decant on Ebay with 90%/9ml left in it, it'll still likely sell for more than the 100ml bottle I bought to take its place. Nobody ever 'sees' my collection anyway, it's in my bedroom where only the occasional woman ever enter so I'm not fussed about having all the hype monsters on display to show off - it's the juice that interests me, not the brand or price, so this is perfect for me.

Absolute beast longevity wise too, good 8-10 hours out of this and the projection is perfect, not too loud, not a skin scent, just radiates around you in a little bubble.

For £15 this is an absolute steal and definitely makes me think sometimes, is it really worth paying over £100/200/300 for a bottle? I mean, I do, and will again, but when something is this good and this cheap, it really does make you think. The clones are getting so good now, and some even outdo the thing they're cloning so you're paying for the bottle in some cases - for example I don't much like Aventus, yet I've come across two Aventus clones I'd say are better than the Creed original. One of them is as good as the old Creed formulation, and Creed itself can't even make Aventus that matches up to that (I didn't mind Aventus about a decade ago, the current stuff pales in comparison.)

Opens more "middle-eastern" for the first 5 minutes or so. Then after 15 minutes it's very reminiscent of MMBTF. So much so that I could definitely recommend this instead unless you are a collector. Fantastic fragrance for only $20 or less. Perfect fall/winter cozy scent! Love it!

Bought this for it’s supposed By The Fireplace resemblance, but BTF is it not :( Maybe I need to let my bottle sit for a few weeks, but first impressions have left me disappointed yet again with this blind buy.

The smokiness is certainly there, like the smell of woodsmoke outside on a chilly autumn evening, when folks have their wood burners and log fires going. This is nice, or would be if it wasn’t for the fact that my nose is always searching for that cosy sweet marshmallow note present in BTF. It’s missing here, and it’s stops this fragrance from being enjoyable for me. It is a less sweet, more medicinal smokey cousin to BTF perhaps, where the fire has been helped along with some of those camphor starter blocks or fluid? Maybe there is something I could layer with this to create the same warm caramel / toasty marshmallow feeling and make my gourmand loving heart (nose) happy?

Also, this juice STAYS. I sprayed my arm yesterday morning, and I found it to be a bit suffocating through the night! So if you end up loving this juice, you may find this bottle will last you a while, as a little goes a long way.

For £16 I can’t regret this purchase too much, and the bottle looks and feels very nice indeed, and I dare say some will enjoy this in its own right or even more than BTF, but know going in that it is not a dupe. Now, can someone please pass the sugar? ;D

renzhina.eugenia

Adding a new review after finally smelling By the fireplace (got 10 ml, because it is so popular that testers in the shops are always out of stock when I come.. it is so funny to see all Replica testers in a row with only By the fireplace absent there)
In my opinion Lattafa is better. Now I am talking about middle and drydown notes. By the fireplace has a smell of real burnt wood. Very realistic, but to me - too much. Like I was burning wood myself and then this smell is in my hair, my clothes... Lattafa has this burnt wood note too, but it is smoother. It is wood burnt a little, let's say.
Saw a lot of comments that BTF has a gourmand accord, exactly marshmallow. I can't agree with that as instead I smell the same note in these two perfumes - sugar. Sugar exactly, not vanilla, and they are similarly sweet to me
90% of similarity in general I think
Closer to 95% in the drydown of both, when this realistic smoke from BTF fades away a bit

mfakhrihabibie

I have full bottle, its tall bottle, luxurious, heavy cap, elegent with element in the bottle..
quite good atomizer.

there's hint of oud at the early minutes, remind me of makkah scent.. so wonderful

few times, it turn to boozy, addictive, little sweet, woody ahhhh...

i never smell BTF, but many people say that aftee several minutes is very close to BTF. I dont care..
i just to say this is a gem, for 16.5 $

I'm blessed for bought this HAHA.

10/10 OR MORE 😋

Chichi2109

I have By The Fireplay (30ml) and ordered this bottle because it suggested a dupe of by the fireplay, I did a comparison on 2 wrists and I have some comments: - the beginnings of the 2 bottles are completely different, so if someone was expecting the same 2 bottles it would probably be quite disappointing. Personally, I prefer by the fireplace with its really charming smoke smell . After 1 hour, the scents of the two bottles have a more obvious similarity, but if you own both bottles you will still completely feel the difference. I bought this bottle for a pretty cheap price (31 Cad for a 100ml bottle including shipping) so there's not too much regret here because the perfume itself smells pretty good the way it is. But obviously if the price is the same then BTF is a superior choice in my opinion

Opening is a sugary dessert like mess just wait 10-15 mins.

Doesn’t last enough for me maybe needs macerating

Gidimeister

Edible, sweet, dusty, wood fragrance that lasts and lasts and lasts.

Adrian2379

The dry down is better than the opening on me

PerfumeChugger

2 months in

at first to me the opening smells green like wet grass-type green

then after a while, it smells nice burnt, smokey wood with sweet burnt sugar

Great fragrance and is very comforting, very warm and inviting

Okay so I have this for a couple of months so it's post maceration. The opening smoother but still a chemical mess however far into the dry drown, about 4-5 hours it starts becoming such an addictive and cozy scent. You start to get a slightly sweet burnt sugary wood that's been smoked. If not for the long dry down wait and chemical opening I would give this a 10 but that's not the case.

Tomott

The biggest disappointment by far… smells like burnt syrup or cola. Very nauseating, too sweet, not a trace of wood, just a ton of burnt sugar.

Detman101

I'm on bottle #2 now...
This is my year-round smooth smoky oud-vanilla that i can wear to work and to formal events.
If i want straight-out diabeetus-fire i wear "Raghba wood intense"...and only in cooler weather.

AaOIO is just the perfect fragrance for when you want a light oud, creamy smooth vanilla and warm woods. And the price is more than perfect. That reminds me, i need to order bottle #3...

renzhina.eugenia

Omg, I am in love. It is my first such a woody fragrance in my collection and it was such a success for me! Sweet sugared slightly burnt wood. Exactly sugared, I can trace no vanilla here. Staying power is AMAZING. can still feel a bit on my hair after a few days, washing with shampoo and drying. Never tried by the fireplace, but bought it knowing that this is kinda dupe. As a separate fragrance alone ameer Oudh Intense is wonderful. To me it is unisex but more on a feminine side :)

oddsoy

screaming crying and throwing up. i think this is my favorite perfume of all time and its only 20 dollars 😭 smells almost identical to btf and an amazing, high quality perfume.

creamy vanilla, dark chocolate, and hypnotizing oud. this is such a sexy fall time / winter scent.

DO NOT SPRAY THIS ON CLOTHES!!! for some reason the oud turns into sweat on fabric, which can really rub people the wrong way. on skin it smells beautiful

10/10, 7 for amazing quality, +1 for smelling basically identical to btf (by the fireplace, + 1 for longevity and sillage, +1 for being my personal fav <33

Baris Farish

It is strong, simply a compliment monster. I just love it. East or West, Middle eastern fragrances are the best.

Radias

Everyone has given great descriptions of what this smells like so I'll keep this short. Do you like Oud? This is one of the SMOOTHEST I've ever smelled and the price is awesome. Lattafa is starting to kill some of these scents in mid 2023 so if you're on the fence about this grab it now.

WGG

This is worth £150 which is ten times what I paid, anyone trying to build a small collection for (say) £150 should buy this.
Brown sugar fudge with some wood and smoke. Smooth, not cloying or bitter. Evening conditions where I live right now are ideal for this: 25-30 C and humid. Sultry, cozy, the humidity helps it hang in the air. Performance is good. Its a love from me, and currently one of my favourites.

I'm 'that guy'

I hate to be 'that guy' but I really love this one. I can't get enough of it when I am wearing it. It has some nice smokiness going on, some nice smelling oud and a bit of booziness/sweetness in it. Just a wonderfull smell for not that much money. I am going to buy By The Fireplace, cause if that smells like this, I will love it!

Kingskid07

Not much to say about this one other than it's VERY spicy, woody, vanillic, enjoyable and a beastly performer. I wish Qaa'ed had this beast mode performance (then I may give the edge to it between the two). I do not see this one as a "By the Fireplace" replacement, but it's surely in the conversation. The quality is extremely rewarding for the price. It's a great buy and an easy fall/winter's dumb reach frag for me~

Orangeboom999

I like it, but there are limited oppurtunities to wear this for me. Christmas and maybe 1 or 2 other times in a year. Likely going to last me a lifetime, the bottle I have

Carlysfx1

Oh. My. God. This may be my favorite Lattafa fragrance. I have not smelled By The Fireplace, so I cannot say if it’s a dupe, but WOW. This $18 bottle packs a punch. Smoky, toasty woods, burnt sugar and smoked vanilla is right up my alley, and Ameer delivers. This smells expensive. It is a true unisex fragrance, and I do not care how hot it is or what time of day it is - I douse myself in it. It stays quite consistent through the day, and does not change much on my skin. It’s a huge compliment-getter, and is so warm and cozy. My boyfriend can’t stop smelling me. 10/10, this is worthy of many backup bottles.

partizan

For €15 or less, you get much, much, much more than what designers offer at extremely high prices.
If you like a very sweet, warm, penetrating, long-lasting and very pleasant winter, light smoky vanilla scent, Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud by Lattafa is the best choice.
It has nothing in common with other heavy oud fragrances.
Here is more sweet, vanilla with the addition of a nice light agarwood smoke accord. No weird alcoholic opening or repellent notes. If you like sweet - gourmand fragrances, you will enjoy this fragrance from the first spray to the empty bottle.
It stands proudly at the front of my perfume collection and can stand beside any expensive fragrance... I recommend it to everyone..
Ps.
It sounds like an advertisement :) , but I am very pleasantly surprised after so many years of collecting perfumes.

SgtButtCheeks

I just read a 14 paragraph review of this and learned nothing. Now my head hurts and I’m going to sleep.
Life is cruel.

Hamzerence

Smells like sweet rubbing alcohol when you actually pay attention to the opening, but dry-down is a very powdery floral wood scent which gives it uni.

_theeteddybear

I sprayed this on my arm before deciding on what I wanted to purchase & it was love at first spray. I ended up buying it because of how beautiful the opening notes were, I had no idea that I'd love the dry down even more.
First night I sprayed it after a shower, I couldn't stop smelling myself because of how gorgeous this fragrance is.
I must admit that it is a beast when it comes to performance. I wore a sweatshirt after spraying it on my inner elbows & more than 36 hours later, my sweatshirt still smells of this gorgeous scent.
The powdery nature has won my heart!
I have thought about making this one a signature scent but it's just too cozy for me to put myself out there like that lol. It reminds me of a cozy night with your partner cuddled up on the couch watching something. I feel like I'll reserve this for those nights I want to curl up on my couch & chill.

Longevity 11/10
Performance 9/10
Projection 8/10
Sillage 7.5/10
Value for money 9.5/10

Stush

For around 20 usd it’s a great blind buy. A little bit sensual and alluring on my skin slightly feminine in the beginning.. Not obnoxiously oudy. Just enough. Dries down to warm and cozy let’s snuggle unisex. I would where it as is and think it’s suitable for a woman also.

Whateverwhocares

Sweet, woody, smokey flowers mixed subtly. Leans masculine. Fizzy cola accord. The synthetic oud meld is the same as other Middle Eastern cheapies. Keeper.

Rayasfragrancevisions

Smells like a Coca Cola type of Oud, slightly synthetic feeling and didn’t work out for me and turned unbearable on my skin. However, I passed it over to a friend of mine and she loves it very much ! Loved my quite a few people but not to my taste, I prefer Oud mood

LoLovesfragrance

Smoky,Woody,Burnt whatever you called it

it's there
To me
the sweetness of this fragrance is like burnt sugar

I cant smell the vanilla but its there very faint in the background to bring out the woody scent

it smelled like burning marshmallow with a campfire

8/10 fragrant

great price

great scent

doesn't smell cheap at all

I'll let it macerate and see how it goes
