Raghba Wood Intense by Lattafa Perfumes is a Amber Woody fragrance for men. Raghba Wood Intense was launched in 2014. Top notes are Caramel, Licorice, Guaiac Wood and Cedar; middle notes are Agarwood (Oud), Sugar, Sandalwood and Cashmere Wood; base notes are Incense, Vanilla, Amber, Oakmoss and Musk.

The perfume house from Dubai Lattafa Perfumes presents successor to the famous fragrance Raghba, which will be introduced as more intense, smoky and woodier version of the original fragrance. Name of the perfume is Raghba Wood Intense and its highlights precious accords of various types of trees blended with sweet caramel and liquorice on an oriental base. Character of the edition is highlighted with various raw materials which seem harmonious and bold when blended together.

Considering that Lattafa Perfumes is specialized in oriental perfumery, Raghba collection provides fragrances in that spirit. The first fragrance for men is Raghba, which, unlike the new, more intense successor combined powdery iris aromas with elegant violet leaves, while character is provided by masculine aromas of leather, amber and milky wood. Sophisticated freshness comes from citruses. Raghba collection includes two other editions: Raghba Women and Raghba Classic.

The new version is aimed at those who like extremely woody fragrances, strong compositions and hot accords. Perfume Raghba Wood Intense opens with notes of cedar, guaiac wood, liquorice and caramel, followed by precious oud, sugar and cashmere wood. The base supports the composition with its warm and sensual aromas of musk, amber, vanilla, oak moss and incense.

Raghba Intense Wood will be launched in November 2014 and can be purchased as 100ml Eau de Parfum.

A suffocating scent that opens dark, woody, and smoky with vanilla undertones (these notes persist throughout) and as it dries it becomes combined with this burnt sugar scent and turns into this dark/sweet smell.

I do absolutely love it for its smoky incensey burnt sugar smell but it has made me feel reluctant to use it as its too strong and has given me headaches and blocked noses from its strength so I would suggest no more than one or two sprays. Definitely a winter scent and male but with its sweetness it could be unisex maybe. Its such good price and value so its definitely a safe blind buy.

8.5/10 - Such good value for money for such a complex smelling fragrance with beast mode performance ( can be too strong though ).

Please contact me for free give away, only in north india. Can’t even stand the bottle of this perfume in my house.

Edit : not a single person approached me even for “Free” giveaway. No one wants this perfume.

MySkin

Another one from Lataffa that doesn't disappoint. From the first spray it's what it says on the tin. A little smokey, sweet, spicy.
I have Raghba too and I find it smokier than the Intense. I know after macetation it will become sweeter and I'm sure it will make it even more cosy and comforting. Not safe for blind buy especially if you already some expectations. Raghba and its Intense version are fragrances of their own. Not duping BTF as the OG Raghba has been released before it. For me it's definitely unisex, spring, fall and winter suitable.

This is a clone of TF Tobacco Oud,???

I'm afraid it is NOT!

Dark, Linear, Woody, somewhat sweet this makes me feel warm, cozy. I do like this not bad for 30$ would recommend.

Theempty7

Great scent for layering as it’s fairly linear. I’m usually not a layering kinda guy, but I do what works if you want your fragrance to have character.

Nappie04

IMO this smells exactly like Salmiakkikossu (finnish salty liquorice vodka) with some sort of medicinal note in it. Hubby says to his nose it smells just liquorice without the kossu (vodka) part and he kinda likes it.
I’ve had way too many salmari (vodka) shots with terrible morning afters in my past so this is a pass for me.
It’s cheap so if liquorice is you thing go for it!

Am I the only one who can't get any performance out of this fragrance? No projection, no sillage, and it does not last more than an hour.

Update: It's almost 2 months since I got this fragrance and I decided to go for it once again. This time it is all incredible. The scent gone really strong with an enormous sillage and a surprising projection. A bit smokier than I expected but caramel note balances the darker side of it. I now believe in the power of maceration and not judging in the first experinece 😂

Manyu_J

Tell you what it smells like (on my skin): smoky Deep Heat Cream with a hint of cherry. I LOVE IT!

kispo

What a nice surprise no harsh opening great performance , I paid 14,79 euros it's just crazy the quality delivered for this price . I would recommend to everyone looking for this scent profile.

Yunan737

all i can smell is woods... nothing sweet or sugary. this is not something you can easily play with. but people here love this stuff, i don't get it but who i am to judge their experiences.

Akel

Dark and smokie. This fragrance has nothing to do with sweet fragrances. Nothing to compare with Ameer Al Oud Intense which is way better scent in my opinion. Longevity is great. It easily lasts 12 hours on my skin and even more on clothes. Projection is above average.
Not my cup of tea but after all i paid only 13€ for 100ml

Histamine

The positive point about this is that it is cheap and bottle feels nice and heavy. The smell is too much. Super smoky. Like clothes after spending a couple hours by a campfire, I could imagine wearing with by a campfire actually and… well no… I can’t imagine any other occasions where this could be used. 100 ml of this should last well into the 22nd century.

Performance is good.

Old_SnakeTwitch

2 sprays and you will smell it projecting all day long and it will be pleasant
After your shower you will think, damn its still projecting.
The next morning you will think, damn, its STILL projecting and im getting sick of this
By the second shower its finally a skin scent & will be gone by day 3....

Yeah... o.o

Spoonofslurry

I love the licorice note in this! Set me on a mad dash to find more. This is also one of the first Oud fragrances I ever bought, though the oud in this is very light. I noticed some people find this really smokey, like campfire smokey. Mine is not, I struggle to smell the incense at all, alas.

Get this if you're looking for a good SWEET woody perfume.

Sammi4443

This fragrance is a smooth blend of smokey woods and sweet gourmand caramel. gets 8+ hours of longevity with moderate to loud projection. worth the price. blind buy worthy

fsgoff87

Raghba Wood Intense smells like romantic weekend rendezvous at a mountain cabin deep in the woods. It is dark cold night. There is a wood fire burning in fireplace, it’s golden glow casting flickering shadows in the dark. Taxidermied trophies line the walls and there is a large bear skin rug in front of the large stone hearth. Some candles to help set the mood; warm vanilla and brown sugar. The mixture of aromas; woods, smoke, animalic musk, vanilla, sugar, and a hint of body odor, in the very best way. Pure, raw, intimate sex appeal at its very best.
Not a daily wear, or a dumb reach fragrance by any means, but one that will certainly help turn up the heat on cold winters night.

thainan.noronha

One of the woodiest perfumes I've ever encountered. It opens with an explosion of smoky and slightly sweet woods. The smoky woody touch comes from the combination of guaiac wood, cedar, and licorice (which has a woody/smoky/sweet/bitter smell). This accord, along with the sweetness of caramel, produces a scent reminiscent of the burnt and gently bitter opening of A*Men (they're not similar, just this burnt aspect), evoking a roasted coffee, but not in a gourmand way, which it is not.

Soon, the middle and base notes come in unison: guaiac wood joins oud (a non-medicinal or animalic oud, but rather woody and smoky, slightly aged) and sandalwood. Finishing off this woody load, oakmoss brings a slightly dark green touch to the perfume's background, like a dark forest. Cashmere wood, along with amber, vanilla, and musk, soften the woody and smoky power of the perfume, rounding it out, very subtly. In the end, after the smoothing out of the roasted aspect of the opening, the perfume remains for the rest of its life behaving in a linear manner, VERY woody and slightly sweetly smoky (reminiscent of very dark chocolate and coffee).

Interestingly, it's almost identical to Tom Ford's Tobacco Oud, making them totally redundant. It brings to mind an image of a room in a palace with antique furniture and a lit fireplace burning wood. It will appeal to those who enjoy more virile, dark, dense, heavy, and deep-rooted woody perfumes, but who don't compromise on pleasantness. It projects expansively for about 2.5 hours and easily lasts over 10 hours.

Needed olfactory workout
Hence, Raghba wood intense.

cods69

On the first spray of this, I thought there was either something wrong or it needed time. Smelled terrible and chemically.
It was the latter. A few months later, this is a very nice twist on the BTF, with more grunt and in-your-face, but really pleasant.
It's amazing how a frag can change so much over a few months. Give it time. Worth being patient with this one, but don't over-spray.

AlbusTran

I needed an alternative version (not a dupe) of Maison Martin Margela's By the Fireplace so after reading many reviews, I decided to blind buy a full bottle. Raghba Wood Intense is VERY smokey and sweet - like a burning wood with sugar on it. RWI is more intense, more mature and more daring than BTF. Vanilla note is not prominent or at least, not to my nose. It's not for everyone I have to say. I also owns Lattafa's Intense Oud which is a try-to-be By the Fireplace. If you like this scent profile (like me), you can have them both. Being honest, I cannot believe I could buy a scent like RWI for a price as below 20$. It's complicated, alluring and high quality. If you tell me this is a 200$ scent, I will believe immediately.

Fun fact: I barely smell RWI on my skin after spraying it. At first, I thought maybe this is a bad batch (2022) with weak performance. But all of my friends around me at that time told me about the smell. One said: "You smell like a middle east gentleman". One said: "Bad boy scent indeed". One said: "Doesn't smell like By the fireplace. This is more mature and interesting". Sometimes, I surprised myself about how fast I could nose-blind to some scents.

DarthFragrance

Such an incredible fragrance. It just arrived in the mail, and even freezing cold out of the mailbox with no maturation/maceration, it smells incredible with impressive performance. It has a similar scent profile to fragrances like By the Fireplace (one of my favorites), but the 2 don't smell similar. Raghba Wood Intense just has a similar woody, resinous, balsamic, vanillic, powdery, smoky and sweet scent profile. I haven't smelled the original Raghba so I can't comment on the similarity, but it sounds like this fragrance is just a twist on that DNA.

The quality here is great, especially for the price. This is one of the best Lattafa fragrances I've smelled so far and yet it's never really talked about, probably because it came out so long ago. I've heard some say it's challenging, and I could see how it could be. It's kind of like if you took the DNA of By the Fireplace but made it much more intense with a more challenging niche take on it. I love it because it's really interesting and a pleasure to wear.

Great performance; lasts many hours and projects strongly with heavy sillage.

JLH76

Love this one. It's smooth woody velvet with just a hint of sweetness. Cashmeran remains a favorite note. Not too much vanilla or licorice. Incense and musk break up the sweet notes.

Definitely NOT like By The Fireplace (Lataffa's Ameer Al Oudh Intense is their straight up BTF dupe). Not sure I have a good idea what this could duplicate.

Great longevity, solid sillage. Easy to overspray. For something you can get for $20 this is a brilliant fragrance.

Tahsinss

I’m not sure about this one. I will let it macerate for a couple of months and will come back to it but to my nose it smells like a very bitter smoky licorice. I hate the licorice in sauvage elixir and I hate it here too. I don’t like it, I don’t get any of the other notes but I will give it a try later.

csetetamas76

I love that the bottle is so heavy. I really like the woody sweet tobacco smell after use. The smell of tobacco can be felt on the clothes for several days. This is a Masculine elegant fragrance. Unbeatable price with value ratio. Lovers of Arabic fragrances should definitely try it.

Liza_Lauda

Woody church incense scents are my thing. Raghba Wood ticks this box beautifully for me. The opening has a liquorice note that I dislike, but it disappears fairly quickly. I'm left with a beautiful mixture of incense, smoke, wood and creamy vanilla. Oh, I do love this! You can definitely smell the original Raghba DNA in this. Great staying power on skin and clothes, but I only get a moderate sillage. Still, amazing value, I'll be ordering backup. Unisex, but definitely masculine leaning.

Sniffthenwhiff

To me, simply put, it smells like incense. I don't mind my house smelling like it, but it's not something I personally wanna smell like.

SAE_87

Cheap fragrance but a luxurious intensely woody and sweet/caramel scent.
Quite powerful, so easy on the sprays

mcwon212

This stuff is good on its own and good as a bottom layer to short-lasting fresh fragrances like BDC.

It just smells like wood.

Raghba Wood Intense for only £14 is an incredible and expensive smelling fragrance which lasts and lasts! This fragrance smells like a dessert coated with strong burnt brown sugar with oozing sweet caramel acting like an undertone to it. It's like the strong harsh smell of Tiramisu without the coffee note and layered with the burning sugar probably from the incense, the smoke comes off heavy and lingers around these notes and they work as a team throughout the life of this fragrance. Then, the oud, the strong oud circling these sweet dessert like notes pops up to hit you in the face every now and then. Vanilla and amber calm this fragrance down smoothing and cleaning the sharpness and edginess of this fragrance up so no one note creeps out of line. This fragrance is definitely one for the winter cozying up on the sofa with her watching Netflix and hearing the open fire crackle. Raghba Wood Intense Will just keep throwing that smokiness into your face every so often and will create a sexy aroma wherever you are.

Longevity 9+ hours
Scent 9.5/10
Price 10/10 £14
Unisex leaning masculine

I also blind bought this. I was looking for something woody, masculine & challenging. It is indeed woody & masculine, but I do not find it challenging. This cologne is lovely & well-balanced. Everyone who has smelled it so far has liked it. It is a comfort scent for me- picture watching football on the couch in front of the fireplace. I wear it day or night. The performance on this is insane. I sprayed it on my wrist & could still detect it more than 36 hours later.

konga5

BLIND BUY based on REVIEWS here. The second I sprayed this on : the BUY BACK UP BOTTLE alarm came on in my skull. I am THRILLED. Everything is TRUE (well- all the positive remarks).
This is a potent wood/ incense done with flair and nuance . This is not a "cheapie" in any way but in COST ! Again - Montale and Mancera: SHAME ON YOU!! These guys are doing it better for a fraction of the price !! My only TINY quibble is ... I do wish the OPENING lasted LONGER. It's dazzling . This is cheaper than stuff from T.J. CrapRaxx and it smells NICHE ! I have not felt longevity YET. I will come back with an EDIT after my bottles "stews" for a few months.
I blind bought 4 Lataffa fragrances all at once : and when does this ever happen: All of them were a "LOVE" . ( no "kinda like it" , no "it's ok"..... LOL) . LOVE. Better Name for this would be "Campfire Cuddles".

TherealNkosie

Spray on your skin if you want to enjoy it coz it can be cloying on clothes. 12hrs+ with bold moderate performance. This perfume was made for cuddling, that's all I can say about it.

JusttheFactsMan

#392 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

Gakh! Empty your bottle of Raghba by half, fill it to the top with corn syrup and a half teaspoon of anise and you'd have something like this noxious concoction. The Dutch make some licorice caramels that have a burnt marshmallow smell like this. Hard pass!

drixma

I have several Lattafa/Alhambra frags, I got this yesterday and I’m bloody digging it, very bold very original - I was reluctant getting this given the caramel note cause I despise sweet fragrances, I gave Asad away right after the first wearing too cloyingly sweet, this seems like hard work put in and authentic, this is the smoothest offering from the house so far, I applied in yesterday 2 spritz on my hand and I washed in the morning it’s 3PM and I can still get whiffs off of it. Woody, smoky sweet Gentlemanly juice. 10/10 price-performance-blend.

So after a few days of full wearings, I decided that for 15€ a bottlet, I have to order two backup bottles, yes, I find it that much attractive and I don’t want to be wondering what I’ll do next season if I don’t have it. The fragrances which I had repurchased are Gentle Fluidity Silver MFK (4 bottles), Encre Noire (3), TdH EDT (2), and now this (3).

JammiFrag

I'll be honest here... It is affordable with some notes that I like (oud, incense, etc.), but it leans chemical in nature. Totally a synthetic leaning perfume through and through. Cannot reccomend to a picky person because it is synthetic smelling and leans more feminine than masculine because of sweet caramel notes.

aks1

At first it smelled like incense+sharp, sour sweet notes but after a few days sitting it smelled different. Smells good the whole time tho and not an offensive smell. Up close after a long time it can smell like p***y or ammonia(maybe if i didnt put enough.) Hard if you can get a tobacco vanille sample to layer with.

It smells better after sitting. Want to cop another. Lasts over a week on hoodies
On skin i still got hints of it like 12 hours later

Edit: family complains of a harsh sandalwood smell that induces allergies but i dont mind it. can smell like ammonia sometimes.

Anu Vincent

When you take off 60% of sweetness from this and within 10 minutes the rest of it smells exactly like Tom ford soleil brulant surprisingly Ragba wood intense launched in 2014 and the other one launched in 2021 😳 i absolutely love this. As few people have mentioned its definitely worth more than its price i would happily pay a bit more than i bought if they ask me. But is cheap so..

jhodder

Wow. For the price, this is a no brainer. I don't wear it often, but when I do.... My god! Love this stuff. Rich, smoky sweet burnt wood and sugar.

For those that say 'sample before buying', keep in mind that a full bottle of this juice costs all of about $18. Most designer samples cost more than that. Way more than that if you buy them retail. If you like the notes, then buy it. If it turns out that you don't like it, then give the bottle away or toss it.

But, I love it. At twice the price, I would still love it. Maybe even three times the price.

zenonskies

this does smell interesting, alot of burnt sugar and wood, with smokiness coming from the incense, and sweetness from the caramel and sugar.

honestly cant imagine a situation to wear this in. definetely something like hiking hunting or fishing 😭

Crofton

Not sure if I’ve got a dud bottle but mine just smells like your clothes after a bonfire with a tiny hint of caramel, nothing else at all even after dry down. I thought maybe I was nose blind to other notes so got a friend to blind test it & she said “smells like my hair after a bonfire”. I’d like to smell another bottle just to see. If this is the real scent I have no idea how this is so highly rated. Can’t imagine any situation where I’d want to smell like a bonfire.
Looking at other reviews here my bottle has to be a bad batch surely.

FleurDe

Wow. I am in love with this one and it will be my cozy fragrance this Fall and Winter. This one unfolds on several levels; quite complex with elegant transitions. Previously, my only experience with Arab fragrances had been limited to Al-Rehab offerings like Choco Musk and Soft. This is far more layered and complex than either of those. There is something rare that happens with this one, where the unfolding layers interact with one another, back and forth over as the fragrance opens up. There is a lovely bridge that links the early moments of yummy caramel marshmallow sweetness with the later development of the scent; a cooling, yes, synthetic (but not in a negative way) stream of very lightly sugared water that links it to the softly incensed oud wood that becomes prominent. Even as the smoky wood develops you maintain a gentle veil of of soft, scrumptious sweetness dancing above the woods below. In the final phases it is a prominent vanilla and a hint of wood that lingers on your clothes. This one lasts but does not project on me. The box and bottle are traditional, and feel quite heavy and expensive in the hand.

gandrasta

If there's anything missing from Lattafa perfume, it is one's expectation that it will resemble something very expensive. If it smells expensive, that's a bonus. Otherwise, well your expectation tag is $20. So just enjoy it. Like 24, Al Khanjar, and both Raghbas, they are built on the old Middle Eastern formula of Oud Taif, assembling three main compositions: oud, amber, and vanilla (caramel). There are additional wood and smoky incense in Raghba Wood Intense. Then, as usual, the performance, presentation, and price are beyond reason

UglyGeezer

This is a genuine delight and a nice surprise.
It's nothing like Fireplace, but it's a really nice warm and spicey fragrance.
Very long lasting and smells way, way, way more expensive that it it. I paid peanuts, I would happily have paid a lot more.

Kanamichelle

I blind bought this hoping it would resemble By The Fireplace by Replica, but was greatly disappointed. I don’t get ANY smokiness or burnt wood. In fact, I don’t get any wood at all, burnt or otherwise. Where’s the wood, let alone intense wood??? All my nose detects is a sickeningly sweet, almost stinky smell. It does smell slightly like UN-burned tobacco. The good thing is, it is very affordable, so my blind buy won’t break the bank. In short, it smells nothing like BTF. Not even close. I will probably use it to make my own scents, mixing it sparingly with more pleasant fragrances, since I don’t know what else to do with it.

Flatoutchad

The price vs reward value of this is just a amazing. I absolutely love this more than any expensive fragrance I have. This was my third Lattafa but, where they absolutely got my attention. I absolutely love, love Lattafa and how they present a scent is just out of this world. It shows they care deeply about who buys their stuff. Lot of people say F the box, but I think Lattafa does something magical. Some may not be a fan of them cloning scents but I embrace it. I'm not a clone type but I have three of the scents they copy and they bring their AA game and they don't just copy a scent they duplicate it. You can't tell the difference most of the time.
I mean look at the complex amalgam of notes in this scent. It can't be easy to do a scent exactly like the original house made it. Their clones are always just as good, if not better. This one is not like anything I've smelled. It's smoky, but super sweet in such a good way. You can spray this on waffles it's so sweet. The ingredients smell real, and not done in a lab. They do all they do, on top of the great presentation, and the price they ask is $20! Oh my god I highly recommend this one it's so well done and so formal and so good. I have Oud For Glory and it's just top tier stuff.
Lattafa just keeps over and over delivering stuff that most dont.

HeatherNS

This smells of charred wood and melted candle wax. I love it! I even get a hint of pine. I love how outdoorsy and natural it smells.

sir reeksalot

sweet caramel and licorice BUT i know tobacco when i smell it and this has most definitely tobacco.its nice at a good value too.

badbubbles

For the fragrance Lattafa Woody Intense, I had initially anticipated an olfactory experience reminiscent of a delightful fusion of vanilla, caramel, and woody notes. Regrettably, the actual scent proved to be quite different from my expectations. To my discerning senses, it bears a striking resemblance to the aroma of Coca-Cola, which, in my estimation, possesses an excessively artificial quality that I find displeasing.

Contrary to some reviews that extol this fragrance as evoking the cozy ambiance of marshmallows crackling by a fireside, I must respectfully dissent. In my view, this perfume does not live up to the purported imagery and falls considerably short of the anticipated olfactory journey.

Given my personal experience, I would strongly advise against a blind purchase of this fragrance, as it may not align with one's anticipated preferences.

suzanne_ronald

Smoky Woods with Caramel - An outdoor campfire at the beach by the woods, over which you make homemade caramel or toast marshmallows - although it's a little more campfire + ambroxan than gourmand notes. This shares the DNA of the original Raghba, but the woody notes are dialed way up, whereas the vanilla is more forward in the original. This is still sweet however, and the incense notes have an additional smokiness. Both are tame as far as oudiness. Into the drydown, there is a residual ambroxan note on the skin. This has slightly above average performance for a year round wearing experience, but this has a warmth that will wear well in winter or at a chilly campfire on the beach.

Contrast to Raghba Lattafa (OG):
These are different, but they share the same DNA. Raghba Wood Intense, like the name says, has the woody notes dialed way up, and the smoky quality is more forward, while the vanilla is more forward in Raghba (OG). Long into the drydowns this has a residual ambroxan note on the skin, while Raghba (OG) has a faint funk of oud. Roughly equivalent performance, but slightly better for Raghba Wood Intense.

Overall: affordable & beautiful smoky caramel woods scent with slightly above average performance. It's a love for me, but people hate on it: 9/10. Enjoy!

Underthesun

I had it from a swap and actually like it, wore it few times and tested again yesterday, nothing ofensive or cloying, just comforting caramelised smoky woody, actually reminded me the sugar my father used to burn on the stove to refresh the kitchen, rather unisex for me and fun,i’ll keep it!

imranaqell

On skin, it smells like an incense stick; in the air, it smells like there's some booziness in it. Definitely a great fragrance, but I won't be wearing it much, as I'm living in Malaysia where the weather is hot all year round.

CNCxFRAGHEAD

Only a real woman would wear this, only a real man would wear this? I think I should try this, but I do not like the regular one & I don't Ameer Al Oud Intense either. Should I try this????

Charmedbymeghan

Only a real woman would dare to wear this one 😏

Wael'Sniffing

Very Sweet incense and smoke scent.
Not for the faint western hearts.
Only a real man would dare to wear this one.

maumedukas3D

At first it smells very sweet, can sense caramel and slight smoke. It reminds me of sitting by the fire and toasting marshmallows. However, after good 20 minutes on my skin it has revealed an even smokier scent followed by a hug from incense, which I love. It is a very warm scent, reminds me of Arabian Oudh Incense that I burn at home. To have this in a bottle with sweet and smokey notes combined is magical. Once I sprayed in on my wrist, I couldn't stop myself from constantly smelling it, which is a big sign of me liking this fragrance. This morning after shower I could still smell it on my skin. So, longevity is certainly there! Price is another big bonus. The bottle is well made and is very heavy too.

Hoesayabz

This one smells good. But not my cup of tea. A bit too sweet and smoky for my liking. It really does remind me of s'mores by a camp fire. However, I cant pick a scenario where I would want to wear this. Sold it.

Rickou

Ok shortly don't buy it! So main smell of this master piece is like strong dry smoke smell of burned wood literally like if you use wood burning pyrography pen on a freshly cut piece of wood and that burned smoke from it is how this fragrance smells all the time and the rest notes are so weak and hidden that you need to have very trained nose and time to pick up something else. To be more accurate the opening is not that bad it has some false impression of slightly booziness and sweetness from liquorice combined with other notes in that burned wood smoke and that makes it pretty acceptable as it doesn't looks at the beginning so boring and dry but after 20sec it vanishes and burned wood dry smoke smell is just what's left. Where and when to wear it? There is only one occasion that I would recommend this fragrance and its the time when you don't want to stay at work then you spray it and people around you will call the firefighters and they will have to evacuate you;D

John C. Duboiz

Opens with a smokey sugary sweetness, like roasting marshmallow over an open fire. Then it quickly develops into a woodyness and I can't quite pinpoint what kind, but the sugary sweetness lingers on. It finally dries down to a creamy sandalwood, and the sugary sweetness lingers on.
The quality is fantastic! Nothing alcoholic or synthetic about it. Yes this is sweet; think molasses, maple syrup, burt sugar, that kind of sweet. So you'd have to be into that sort of fragrance to favor this one.
However, it is not by any means overly sweet or cloying. Every part of this fragrance is done the right amount; the smokiness, the sweet, the woods, all blended to perfection. Unbelievable that you can get this for 15 to 20 bucks!
Longevity for me lasted a good 9 hours. The projection is within arms length, but the sillage is incredible!
This is not a dupe, nor does it smell similar to REPLICA By The Fireplace. I would say they are in the same family and you could wear both in similar occasions, but it wouldn't be redundant if you owned both.
The one caveat is that, this is almost exclusively a cold weather fragrance in my opinion. Perfect for fall and winter holidays! But not so for wearing to the beach on a hot summer day.

This stuff is great especially for the price it’s ridiculous. To me it’s like a more resinous Tom Ford Ebene Fume with added sugary/gourmandy notes. It’s great!

Noxstorm

Incense and licorice beast
Not a safe buy , an absolute gem to people who likes this profile

Jayrmartinson

The very simplest way to describe this one that will give you an overall impression of what is smells like is: Slightly smoky rootbeer hard candy.

Of course there is a more to it, but if you imagine that you'll have a pretty good idea of what to expect. The woods combined with the licorice really does give off a "root beer" vibe. The more herbal kind of root beer, not the heavy vanilla kind.

This is what Raghba Original should have been. To me its not mind-blowing, but it's better than 99% of other fragrences in this category. If you havnt smelled many Middle Eastern purfumes, you may find this to be a little bit exotic/challenging at first but it would be a good introduction.

The value for money here is tremendous. If this carried the name of a niche house brand it could easily sell for $150+. The quality is very good.

Jackonium

I bought Raghba Wood Intense 7/8 months ago and i still have not been brave enough to wear it in public. I love strong, heavy and bold fragrances but Raghba Wood Intense is just something else.

It is very oriental, extremely spicy, slightly boozy and very middle eastern. It is potent and a beast mode fragrance of note. It reminds me of a Indian spice shop with a strong mix of spices in the air.

I consider Bentley for men Absolute, Bentley for men and Bentley for Men intense as masterpiece fragrances and require a unique and trained nose to appreciate. Those fragrances I thoroughly enjoy as part of my collection. Raghba Wood Intense i place in the same family as these fragrances because of this uniqueness and boldness and not scent profile.

Raghba Wood Intense is not a blind buy safe fragrance, it is not for young boys, it requires a really sophisticated and unique take in order to appreciate it. It is very formal and not suitable for casual wear. Not suitable for office wear either because of how strong it is and the scent profile is not for amateur's or those who love fresh fragrances. I keep revisiting it to try it on and let me grow on me but that process is taking long.

I have Tobacco oud by TF, Charuto Mysterious Tobacco and the Tabocco Vanille, Tobacco and vanilla by Emir, Tobacco Myth, Tobacco Touch by Maison Alhambra, the Bentley Absolute, men and the Intense and i love these fragrances as part of my Tobacco and spicy line. Therefore i believe that i have a good appreciation for smokey fragrances.

Whilst i am still trying to get accustomed to the fragrance, it is very good quality. It performers very well and is a beast mode fragrance.

Try it first before buying it.

Mar1666

This one is a beast for its own price range.

Imo it is a good starter fragrance of woods and vanillas primarily.
It has that Smokey warmth that people look for in by the fireplace by marigela ofc but with a middle eastern kick.

It has a very good vanilla and good rugged wood accords that Oud and all really coming out.

But it also reminds me of Luxor by xerjoff and Thailand Oud in Cairo by ministry of oud which is a clone of Luxor.this lacks the Smokey medicinal Oud and dark bitter sharp cinnamon that’s an USP on its own.

it’s way better than ameer al oudh by miles and it doesn’t smell as synthetic as it should for its price range but yea if you want something similar to this buy Thailand Oud in Cairo or luxor and layer them w this and thank me later.

This is not a fragrance for the those who hate woody fragrances it’s middle eastern and oriental but it still smells too good for it’s price range and the category that everyone puts this in cuz it’s an middle eastern fragrance

One very unique thing about this is that it has luscious date type of nuance in it which adds this murky dark Sweet vanilla and dates in the background in it which are sort of gourmand

Definitely a night time or winter fragrance.

Cons are that it’s not really that specially in terms of dimensions it feels like a one dimension sorta linear scent and the longevity could use some work I would say.

Update:31/1/24
I’ve actually been macerating it for quite some time now and the more complex notes have started to come out it feels more High quality I might macerate it for like 2-3 weeks more to see the end results and test the
Longevity.

This was blended for a mature mind, unique scent profile. Ran through 70% of my bottle in the first month. Made it my bed time scent 😇

justinmartini314

This is as bang for your buck as you can get. For something that is under $15, it's absolutely mind-blowing how good of a quality scent this is. I'm not even exaggerating when I say this is something I would expect Amouge or Nishane to put out. It's very middle eastern so you're getting intense woodiness and smokiness. It's so rich and luxurious smelling that I wouldn't bat an eye if this came in niche presentation and price. With all that being said though, I can see myself wearing this maybe once a year. It really isn't an easy-reach type of scent. I can't see many occasions or attires where I can pull this off. That is my only gripe with this one. However, the quality was so good and I only bought it for around $12 so I just had to keep it in my collection. 8.5/10

Stanloo78

My wife hated it at first but now its among her top 3 in my lattafa collection. Pls dont over spray, it's an absolute beast

MarkoPeeko

It’s a real shame to read some of the recent comments around the alcohol blasts, synthetic feel and speed-soaked sweat.

Maybe they’ve reformulated the crap out of this stuff. I’m fortunate enough to have bought a couple of 2020 bottles. Both still bang and I don’t experience any of what the recent reviews testify.

Then again, I don’t experience a $200 fragrance either. Not for $40 AUD, I don’t.

If you can pick up a bottle pre-2020, it’s worth the coin. Smoky caramel and licorice with a fantastic vanilla and amber dry down.

It’s no Maison Marg, but it’s freaking good for 40 sheets.

George Aziz

Make sure to test it first before buying

Honestly to me it's synthetic in a bad way / not pleasant at all.

Not easy to wear

Not for everyone

SpiritChef

Got this one 5 or so years ago. Didn't go for it for any dupe/clone reason, just saw a review that loved it, so I blind bought it.

Well this is one of my favourite autumn/winter day scents. I absolutely love it! Great to wear, whilst watching football games from the sidelines, walking outdoors etc. Also great fire side indoor scent too.

This is sweet woody fragrance, some incense. I can't really pick up different notes, just a perfect blend of sweet spice and wood! I just love it. I've got many expensive niche fragrances, but this is one cheapy I keep coming back too, so so good!

BTW I don't find any similarities with TF Tobacco Oud at all, which I have and love (wife hates TF TOud!), this is more versatile, there is virtually no Oud, just a totally different fragrance. I wear TF TO for myself and love it, but it can be a divisive scent!

One tobacco smell I do pick up with this one, is the smell of fresh rolling tobacco, just bought and stick your nose in the pouch, sweet fresh rolling tobacco, beautiful.

I am wondering about reformulation also, because the critical reviews below seem very genuine but definitely not what my bottle smells like.

Edit: Wore this all day at work. Resprayed every 4 hours (longevity has waned on my bottle unfortunately). Both ladies I work with, (and not really close proximity, just pass by in long corridors) came to me and said "what are you wearing, WE APPROVE!!".

meama

Woody caramel
a nice and strong opening of burned caramel in a pinewood forest very similar to Le Participe Passé but it quickly (10min on skin) fade into a light sweet wood à la Lutens.
Fortunately there is never a note of cheap home spray, It never smells cheap at all like a Mancera or a lot of the Montale's oud.
you will need to overspray a lot to obtain a bit of effect but it's delicious and it's only 23€
Simple and Enjoyable

Drakon

The opening is a bit alcoholic and has a lot of incense, but you have to wait a bit (be patient, people). After half an hour, the incense slowly loses its strength and the caramel notes come to the fore. When I leave this perfume in the closet with the lid off, the inside of the closet smells very nice and there is no incense note at all (at least it is not prominent). Those who complain that they smell incense, burnt plastic, the smell of burnt wood, etc. obviously did not have the patience to get to know the perfume, but wrote their opinion based on the opening. Yes, first couple sniffs and i tought: meehh, it's nothing special, and i thought i should sell it. But now, selling is not an option anymore. At all. For most of people probably safe blind buy. Well, you won't get broke for the price of this even if you don't like it (in Serbia i paid it around 25 €).

TheLotusEffect

DO NOT get this expecting a By the Fireplace dupe.
The only similarity is the smokiness otherwise the characters are completely different - only get this if you like Middle Eastern feeling frags.

Cheapie but it smells like the price - extremely synthetic alcohol notes on the top and a smoky burnt plastic accord that lingers. Overbearing notes of licorice and oud dominate overpower the sweetness and give it a very Middle Eastern vibe.

Tl;dr: Cheap smelling Middle Eastern frag, NOT a By the Fireplace dupe

Kizzyb93

this opens up very sweet, then turns al little spicy dark but if Im honest, this on the dry down reminds me of when youv been to a rave and you can smell amphetamine oozing out of someone’s sweat. That’s exactly what it smells like on my skin once it’s dried down. Really not something I want to smell like tbh😂 my partner also agrees with me. This does not work well with my skin and smells dirty🤢 really not that much different from the original still get the same vibes. Maybe it’s just a n my skin though as a lot of the other reviews seem to me good !!! Idk 🤷♀️

christophersisk

A gorgeous blend of sweet woods and incense. You can smell the sweet Raghba base but the inclusion of heavy incense really pushes this into something wonderful to wear.

Mir Mahmud

A rich blend of burnt Sugary or caramel flavour with some deep Oud. Reminds me of malls in Dubai or in Saudi Arabia. Definitely not for everybody who don't prefer Middle Eastern type of fragrances but a must for Arab Sheikhs.

ikanyeng808

MM By The Fireplace dupe! Great scent and long lasting.

Airwrecka

I couldn't put my finger on what caused the odd fresh vibe that mixed with the darker notes in a way that hit my nose wrong. Checking the notes, I think its the licorice, it gives the sensation of eating something dark and rich after just having brushed your teeth. I feel like the licorice overpowers the other notes and unfortunately ruins the experience for me.

Detman101

After finally getting "Raghba"...I'm never going back to modern formulations of this one.
The original formulation of "RWI" was heavenly...but the modern formulations are too "incensy/smoky" to wear.

OG Raghba is all the vanilla-incense I need.
"RWI" had a good run of 3 bottles...but this last one goes in the donation bin.

boffin1979

An imitation hay smell coupled with burning LPs, coated in sugar. Effing disgusting. I’m done with YouTube fragrance reviewers!

MarkoPeeko

Noticing the price has more than doubled in Australia.

Demand or has this been discontinued? (Or are we pandering to inflation?)

Guccibaby46

Either I have a fake bottle or all the glowing reviews are lies. This is pure alcohol and smoke. It’s absolutely awful, synthetic chaos. I don’t get any notes apart from smoke.
Totally done with Middle Eastern fragrances.

Andrew.R

Dates… all i smell is dates. Its not offensive, but not something id want to smell like.

jazzclrnt

This is the second Lattafa I’ve tried. It opens with the same cheap smell as Pure Oudi. It settles into a linear caramel/honey smell that is nicely not cloying and very pleasurable!

Much better than Pure Oudi. I might eventually buy a full bottle, but I think I’m done sampling Lattafa.

Ambrocia scents

After exploring designer perfumes for years, then dabbling in niche. I think someone with the same history, can appreciate just how unique this (and majority of Arab perfumes) smell. You just smell different, you stand out. I already described what I perceived in a pervious comment. Just came back to say, if they listed coffee as 1 of the notes in this, I would believe it. I dnt think its the bottle, probably the notes of dark wood, but something in here smells very dark brown/coffee-esque. I will never believe there is coffee in roses vanille nor intense café 🤷🏾♀️This is a great scent full.bottle worthy👌

gospodinov_s

Very pleasent smell ... Arabian perfumes can be unique without copy certain brand. I will mix it with Lalique Encre Noir Sport und probably I will kill everybody around me... :))))))))

alexmare3

horrible syntetic mess..

Nikito

smell like burning sugar until melt and turning into caremel and some wood.
its not my type of scent but is good 7/10 longevity beast mode!!!

YannisPapadopoulos

Think of this : chimneys around your neighborhood and the smell sticks around to your skin/hair. And then that smell meets with a slightly burnt wooden barrel that once used to have alcohol inside. It's a very distinct smell, and especially on my skin it hasn't left for 20hrs, even after shower. It smells great from open to finish, and I can't think of anything that beats the bang for buck offering this one gives! Amazing stuff.

Samasama

Dont know if i’m desensitized but this is just Raghba on a fickle little dose of anabolics. Dont get me wrong i adore Raghba but this isnt the haunting beast reviews are making it to be. Maybe it was reformulated? Maybe you go noseblind to it? Maybe you should let it macerate? Keeping it only cause my original Raghba is ending, otherwise it would be redundant. Tobacco Oud? Not a chance. Not this batch (2022)

GrevEichmann

This was such a great purchase. Found it "Secondhand" (never used, but the guy didn´t like it which i can´t understand)
I opened the package immediately in the car and instantaneously smelled some kind of sugary goodness. It´s definitely masculine, but a sweet fragrance, where sugar, with a sort of roasted feel (probably the wood) comes to mind. It´s great! I´ve been wearing it for about four hours now, and it literally smells as if it was sprayed five minutes ago. Such a great fragrance!

LeonidasMadazee

It's definitely a more mature and masculine version of Raghba, and it definitely keeps a very Arabian feel to it. This perfume reminds me of my many trips to the UAE, and how most of the stores would smell. Nostalgia.

Incence on the opening, followed by sugar and caramel. As the dry down takes place, those Oud and Sandalwood notes begin to shine through

An incredible perfume for it's price. 10/10

xillage

If you have this, you don't need TF Tobacco Oud.

OntheMark

This may very well be the most clingy, persistent EDP I have ever come across. It's also loud and completely, unapologetically linear. No evolution, no mystery reveals. It is what it is, from start to finish.

But how to define the scent? In terms of scent profile, it's *almost* a magnificent and special caramellic (is that a word?) woody gem -- somewhere in the general range of OO Woodcut, which goes for about 4-5 times the price of RWI. Almost, but for the addition of some really distracting and unnecessary notes IMHO. In the end, it's what you might expect to smell if you decided to grab a plastic bag, fill it with a few handfuls of fresh sawdust, a couple caramel candies, a dash of white sugar and a handful of star anise -- and then proceeded to ignite the whole thing, indoors and with windows closed. As the smoke fills the room, you are hit with the wood (fir/oak/oud?) oil essence, caramel warmth, burnt sugar and a slightly acrid burnt licorice/plastic haze that threatens to spoil it all. (And then you choke out from the toxic fumes as you realize the windows are indeed still closed.)

Overall, I give it top marks for performance and longevity. It's potent, loud and lasts for days.
On its notes, I find it to be pretty accurate according to the pyramid above. But for me, it misses the mark due to the plastic/licorice smoke accord.

FragrantHawk31

This is absolutely magnificent sweet sugary woody incense Oud and vanilla done right! Beasty performance with a smoothness that makes it so wearable and enjoyable for hours. It’s sexy warm and slightly delicious. Like all Lattafa frags, let it sit for a while and come back to it. I promise you’ll be pleasantly amazed!!

Ben-G79

This is morning wood, daytime wood and night wood, 12+hrs of wood, its dark, strong and rich, sweet, boozy and smoky with a shot or 10 of licorice. Sweetness comes in the form of sugar, licorice and a dash of vanilla. To me it sure does have a high quality middle eastern vibe going on and I like it and the price, well 14 UK squids, I don't know how Lataffa do it, puts alot of designer high street frags in the shade. If it was made by Tom Ford then people would be creaming all over this and the price could easily be 3 figures, but I am glad it isn't!

If you enjoy a strong woody and sweet frag then you will enjoy this, I have to be in the mood for it, if I am going out and its cold then its great, in the back of a car on a hot sunny day then it can cause a headache so limit the sprays when hot.

For me it's better with time when on my skin, and it lasts a week on clothing if not more, had to wash my coat to get it off the sleeves! So I only put a spray behind each ear and two on the neck area and your good to go! On rotation during the colder half of the year and it's my Christmas number 1.

Alexsiz

Raghba Wood intense is such a dirty, nice smell. It smells like burning wood, old books, church and incense, with a gentle lowkey sweetness and it lasts forever. There's something almost nostalgic about it for me. Be gentle with this one, a spray can fill a room in seconds. In my opinion its definitely made for winter and colder weather, but saying that Lattafa are based in the UAE which is known for its hot weather. Not a scent I reach for all the time but definitely worth getting.

Midnight Raine

Ooo, this is nice! Raghba Wood Intense, where have you been all my life?! I'm wearing a bottle I purchased yesterday. This is the most intoxicating blend of woods, caramel, vanilla, incense, and licorice. The licorice is more sweet & subtle like a candy, as opposed to the bitter strength of a licorice tea. I'm vaguely reminded of the licorice in Loverdose.
This is perfection! It's a great balance of sweet & woody.
I agree with those who compare it to golden marshmallows around a campfire.
Go easy with the sprays on this one: I'm wearing one on my neck & one on my shirt. That seems to be the right amount.

TheComedian

Man, this stuff is great. I normally don't go for the sweet gourmands, but this one offsets the sweetness with this great smoky/incense note that a lot of these Middle Eastern perfumes have (and which I love). It absolutely invokes the image of roasting marshmallows and making s'mores by an autumn campfire. Heavenly!

danny.collins

Those people saying this is anything but delicious are crazy. How can anyone not like this sweet caramel Smokey vanilla gorgeousness?

aleksandar.dragas6

Put aside that this is a cheapie and Arab perfumery (IMHO not a clone of anything), I've never encountered a perfume creation that plays with the accords of smoke and wood so creatively, spiced with underlaying vanilla sweetness. Pretty impressive.

Beffuhnee

I bought 8 Lattafa fragrances all around the same time and so far this one is my least favorite. It intrigued me with the reviews and the comparison to By The Fireplace which I love. To me this smells like burning plastic, musty leather, and smoke. It’s just so synthetic smelling. I do get hints of something sweet and warm but it’s fleeting. It doesn’t quite come in to mix with the sharp notes to soften the fragrance up at all. I want to love it but it’s repulsive.

Edit: went back and sniffed to be sure and yeah no it’s gross, nothing has changed there. HOWEVER I have to tell you if you don’t like this don’t even touch the bottle. All I did was pull the cap off and give it a whiff and I literally cannot escape the scent even after washing my hands. It clings to me and I hate it. I also feel like every time I sniff this I can taste it in my mouth like bitter soap and it doesn’t go away for hours and hours. This fragrance is such a mess…. The only Lattafa scent I loathe

Walkingwisti

This smells like Aqualina pink sugar with smoke and wood. I get smokey sweet black licorice and woody caramel. I like it.

Stanloo78

Smoking and unique
I will advice you be patient with this piece, the dry down is interesting.
It is for confident male who is not afraid to be different but yet your presence will be felt in a dominant way not sweet.
8/10

RSA_Mla

I acquire this perfume for its aggressive woodsy scent total BEAST. Just one (1) spray is all you need for 3-5 hrs, sufficient. (2) sprays 6 to 9 hrs, a challenge. (3) sprays 10 to 12 hrs, being daring. Life is an adventure.

Outaroad

I regret this purchase. I bought this based on the glowing reviews online but once i sprayed it all i could smell was a burning building. Yes there is a bit of sweetness in the background but again, it's way in the back and not very noticeable. Once it dries down it start to smell like a middle eastern incense shop.
So the takeaway is If you enjoy smelling like an incense shop on fire then this is for you

Flatoutchad

I really love this fragrance. The sweetness at first put me off, but then after your nose starts appreciating the way the notes are blended. I find this is a love and one of my favorite fragrances.
I at times question why I am not getting the super performance and super projection people say. Maybe it's cause I just happened to fall in love with Dior Sauvage Elixir, maybe the power of that is making me see this differently. I see the eternal votes and I wonder if maybe they changed the juice. I do love this. The way the sweetness is blended with the wood. Wow. The bottle is simple yet I love it. These Lattafa's are such a delight to add to my collection. Like I don't ever remember a time in collecting frags that I get niche quality juice and way above niche as presentation for $30.

Kunal_y2k

Love this! This is a very mature scent; which fits me quite well, as a guy in his mid 30's. The sweetness & smokiness is balanced well.
I got splendid result when I layered Raghba Wood Intense with Ebony Wood from Zara's Jo Malone collection. Ebony Wood has Dark Ebony wood, cloves and pink pepper notes which compliments RWI beautifully. Recently got stopped in the street and in stores by 3 strangers asking me what I was wearing; and complimenting the scent. The sillage and projection is quite strong.

imran241318

Maybe i need time to accept the smell.
I have it but not my favorite perfume.
Don't blind buy.
5/10

APL-1966

Really long lasting and seems to be somewhat divisive. The wife didn't like it "Too smoky". It is very smoky almost like you've spent to much time around a fire in the garden. I could still smell it as a skin scent 12 hours later.

adamp1

So last year I bought this and left a review back then. A year later and it still smells terrible. Sniffing a fire is nicer.

Cooling321

Unless Tom Fords Tobacco Oud was your favourite most familiar scent you’d never know the difference between this and that. Especially layerd up with a little Oud afgano from khalis (another quite good TF TO clone). I have it side by side right now and me and the gf cannot tell the difference really it’s there but only a question of subtle ratios of notes.

srhe

If you want to smell like you got baptized in cola in a Catholic church, get this. As a scent it is not bad, but I personally would never want to smell like this.

Spencergaryhansen

It doesn’t make sense to get a sample of this. It’s so cheap, it isn’t worth it. It’s NOT blind buy worthy… but blind buying is kinda the best option.

Absolutely amazing. Woods and caramel. It opens up with Smokey caramel. The smoke drifts away, the sweetness dies down. Your left with woods.

The emotions it pulls from me is a little melancholy. Not sad necessarily, but brings feelings of dark reverence, while being relaxing. All while being very sophisticated.

Would recommend you experience.

edneyheleneusa

The biggest regret i ever had on a blind buy, smells like burning tires to me!

Dont blind buy it, you will regret, it's just bad!

PerfumeEmpress

In a world fairly floating on sickly sweet fruity messes ... pardon me; I mean perfumes of course ... marketed for the Young At any Cost crowd, this perfume is a godsend. I am a woman and I don't care if this is labeled 'for men.' I bought a bottle (very reasonably priced) and I am so glad I did. This scent is majestic. I love the woods, the incense, everything about it. I will follow t_bonee's advice and let it sit for about a week and if it gets better than I think it already is, well, it'll be the mother of all winners. I don't agree with those who ho-hum the package. I think both the bottle and the box are very decorative, in the typical Middle Eastern style. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase.

btd069

As the name would imply, this fragrance is pretty woods heavy. The guaiac wood is definitely noticeable, as well as oud. This fragrance clearly has a middle eastern vibe. I get a sugary opening.....not a super sugary vibe, but you can definitely detect it, but this doesn't stick around but merely in the background as it dries down. I don't really get any caramel or licorice distinctly here. It dries down woody & more dry. I don't get much vanilla here. There is a slight balsamic note but its in the background. There is clearly a dominant incense & oud here. Overall it smells like what you would imagine a wood carved, incense burning temple in Thailand would smell like. It does lean pretty synthetic, but what do you expect for $20ish. I added this on to get free shipping on an order but not sure if i'm going to keep this. While it's not a bad fragrance, it's not really what i would wear in a warmer climate where I live.

I don't mind the smell, but not seeing myself reaching for this. There's talks of discontinuation, but that could just be a ploy to sell more bottles. Performance seems to be pretty good so far. This is not, to my nose, a mass appealing scent. I can see this being challenging for most people since theres no freshness here whatsoever. It's got a darkness to it. There's no floral or fruitiness to balance it out like most middle eastern frags. This lacks balance, but some may like that. The hype that this picked up to me is not warranted.....I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. I can see someone walking my an average person and when they smell you, that person making a strange crinkled face. I don't see this being a compliment garnering scent for most people.

The presentation is just ok. When i received this, the atomizer was already primed. Box is nothing to write home about. Atomizer is typical.

Kshir

Heard a lot about this and wanted to get it out of sheer curiosity and excitement for a beast fragrance.
The opening is harsh and is literally an incense bomb all the way, dry-down is bearable but still heavy on the incense; kind of regreting this as I am against the incense blasting frags.
I might just take up @t_bonee advise and let it macerate for a week, as many here suggested it is better appreciated after a while; or maybe just return it to avoid complications, I don't know.

EDIT: I ended up returning it; I tried to like it, really did, but its just too incense-heavy and synthetic. Even if the incense ends-up cutting in half on maceration, it will still be too incensy for me. Smells straight up "old" and "religious" which might appeal to some folks (especially older) but not something you would wear socially, expecting to get compliments. Sure, you will get noticed considering how potent (pungent?) it is; but that attention might not be in a positive spirit. If you want a niche frag to enjoy by yourself for the notes given, grab it up; on the other hand, if you want a mass-appealing and compliment-garnering frag for youth appeal (below 30-35), look elsewhere.

t_bonee

This. Frag. Is. Awesome! Man is this stuff good!

When I first got it, I thought it was just incense from top to bottom. But after letting it sit about a week and trying it again, oh lord how good this is. Now that caramel and sugar are right there and so nice. The woods are just spectacular. And yes, the incense is still there but now is now more subdued and really shines in the base. Highly recommended. If you get it and think it is just an incense bomb, give it a week or two to rest then try it again. I think you'll be glad you did.

MarkoPeeko

The weather has turned slightly this week and the temperature is dropping over the next 3-4 days.

So, it’s probably a good time to get out the late winter numbers again.

I found a 10ml atomiser I’d decanted 2-3 months back. Probably around the last time I’d sprayed this.

Now, I picked up a bottle of this in early May. It arrived on the same day I came down with COVID, so it took me a while to appreciate the beauty of this scent.

Let me tell you, today was an even better experience. I don’t know if it’s because the decant has rested or my smell has returned with a vengeance, but this stuff is absolutely divine tonight.

3 sprays and my Mrs can’t pull herself away from me.

I’m going to say it improves with age, but it’s probably the nose returning to its old self.

For $39 AUD, this might just be the best Lattafa out there.

Solid.

Detman101

Odd...I'm on my second bottle of this and this bottle is almost pure incense/smoke...hardly any vanilla.
The first bottle I had of this (and finished in a month) was the most delectably vanillic-smoky wonder that I've ever encountered. I definitely prefer VANILLA-incense...not incense-vanilla.
Unsure what I'm going to do with the rest of this bottle...
As it stands, I've got to find another sweet sweet vanilla, like that first bottle had....the drydown was HEAVENLY!
Now I'm sad that I ran through that bottle so fast...I, literally, wore it every day...
=*[

EDIT: Taking T_Bonee's advice and letting this bottle sit for a few weeks after spraying.
Going to open up the third bottle backup and spray some out and put it back in the box to sit as well.

Wreckinbelle

Such a fricken killer scent! Deep, dark and sexy. Like a log cabin warmed by a fireplace. There's incense burning, newly choped wood, the mingling scents of licorice tea, crème brûlée, body heat and maybe a little cologne. Damn delicious.

ReminiScent

I think the most important thing to note about this fragrance is that for the ~$20 price range it sits in it is absolutely a safe blind buy. This is mass appealing no questions asked. It is Sauvage Elixir, Bleu de Chanel Parfum, and By the Fireplace combined. Which if you have to combine three fragrances to define something I think it’s worthy of being labeled unique. I say all this because some of the reviews on here led me to believe that this would potentially be so heavy that it is offensive or limited in its versatility. I would wear this to the office or to a formal event. IT IS SAFE. Unless you find any of the above three mentioned fragrances offensive. But if you do then you probably just like summer time freeshies and I love you for that too. If you truly admire fragrances and your caught in between the slog of buying cheapies that don’t fulfill and having spent exorbitant amounts on niche fragrances that leave your pockets empty. Take a break and reset with this. One of the few fragrances that made me fall in love with the hobby for what it is. An art form and not a contest of showmanship.

Ambrocia scents

One of the top accords for this is "sweet". Right to the nose it can dominate your nose with wood. Roman Catholic church smoke type wood lol. Don't get offended. But when it's in the air, you get wafts of this bubblegum scent, perhaps its the licorice. Its so lovely, the wafts of sweetness I wanna cry smelling it lol. Try it

Noveight

Smokey fire, incense, and sweetness. It smells a little medicinal too, if I put my nose right up to it. It definitely leans more masculine, but as a 30-something female, I enjoy wearing this in cooler weather. It reminds me of a less sweet more Smokey/incense By the Fireplace by MMM, which I also steal from my husband. This is cozy, and intense.

Scotty123

@AdamC937 is basically spot on. It’s like sitting out by a bonfire. It’s so good! Perfect for the Fall and Winter. Has the MM By The Fireplace similarities but it’s still it’s own fragrance it’s just in that same realm. You cant beat this for the price.

Gaz4

This very much reminds me of Aoud Exclusif from Mancera. Same woodiness, same spice level, same vibe. The dry down brings more sweetness to the mix and the licorice is more pronounced as opposed to the "explosion of spices" listed in AE. Good autumnal scent.
Anytime I make a blind purchase and it is redundant in my collection, I do let out a sigh of grief...I suppose I will use this on lazy Sundays when I don't want to use the more expensive and better Aoud Exclusif.

mtski

I'm not a fan of the opening, to me it smells like a sweet Shisha tobacco. However the dry down is something else - woody, smoky, sweet liquorice. Love it. The performance overall is really good, I'm only disappointed with a poor sillage of my skin which is not an issue considering the price (I got a 100ml bottle for 12€).

AdamC937

Wood Intense
Do you like the thought of sitting around a campfire on a cool brisk evening with some friends having drinks and a great time? Look no further, this is that feeling in a bottle. Wood Intense opens with smoky, sweet, wood, incense bomb. An absolutely perfect fall scent. This will not be for everyone; it is very strong in your face experience. For us out there that like this scent, I would be hard pressed to recommend anything above this for the value. I would give this 72/100. Longevity is very good 8+ hours. Projection is above average. Price: Amazing value under $30, definitely buy!

oneofakindace

This one is a definite clone of dolce and gabbana mysterious night.

oceansoflorewi

After admiring the dna for a year or so I finally got a full 100 ml. of this.

Hands down- the best fall scent EVER made. Its just freaking incredible and striking. The epitome of autumn, Halloween, & spooky season. I've never had a scent so realistically take me to the scene of fall scene before.

By the fireplace inspired perhaps but BTFP sucks in comparison to this. BTFP is very tame and doesn't have much of a presence and its shy. This one on the other hand is undeniably taking you on a alluring nighttime spell ritual by the charred campfire with blackened woods & a fresh bag of marshmallows ripped open to burn.

Its a burnt charred wood marshmallow BEAST - all the other notes are up for interpretation. Maybe a pinch of Amber? Some smoke? What I love about this though is the burnt wood is front and center and doesn't allow the playful gourmands to take over and cause cloying nausea. I don't get a nasty funky oud from this - it just smells like sugary burnt woods - it's better than it sounds.

It does for autumn what Polo Green does in the winter and cool water does in the spring- like its presence is that bold yet smells like nature. This is undeniably masculine yet I can see women rocking this because it smells more like a realistic scene than it does a manufactured men's cologne.

MUST MUST MUST buy if you are for all things autumn, horror, macabre, and spooky!

I am a middle aged woman, a self-confessed New Romantic (too discerning of luxury and quality, to be Goth), and this is my signature fragrance. If you want every day to be Hallowe'en, this is your jawn! It is toffee sweet, smoky, and witchy. If this juice had a Serge Lutens label on it, it would get a lot more love! It has this extraordinary amber note in the drydown, that reminds me of my Gramma Bonnie (who always smelled good). I have been searching for that exact accord, for my entire adult life, and have only found it in this, and SL "Fumerie Turque." I have had more compliments on this EDP, than any other I've ever worn.

P.S. If you love that guaiac note, you may also find "Tobacco Twist" by Al-Aneeq enjoyable. It has the loveliest "smoked peaches in warm milk" vibe. It's shameful, that it is not on this database.

AnotherFragranceUser

There's something in here that bothers me, that I don't like. Maybe it's the oud or something deep and woody. Perhaps resinous. I don't know what it is. I will be getting rid of the several fragrances like that.

But maybe you like or don't mind whatever that smell is that bothers me. This is a good performer, and good value. I tried to wash it off twice and the smell was still there.

Dean ja

Woody, warm and smoky. Smells like sitting around a campfire toasting marshmallows and getting blasts of burning sugar. Absolutely love this. Lasts a full day and the drydown is so inviting. Wow. Can't wait to showcase this in cooler temps.

Detman101

Just received my bottle about 30 minutes ago.
The wife has already approved of the fragrance!! WOOHOOO!!! I let her smell my test napkin and she said "Oh wow, that one is nice!" =D This one is a winner already!
I sprayed it on a test napkin and got: Caramel, Smoke, Wood, something slightly floral (not rose..thankfully), and incense.

THIS....SMELLS....AMAZING!!!!

Honestly...this is the level of "Smoky" that I was expecting when I bought "Lalique - Encre Noir A L'extreme".
But that fragrances level of smoke is soooo much lower than "Raghba - Wood Intense". This fragrance lives up to it's name...it's wood, smoke and INTENSE!! But oooooooohhhh so great smelling!!! I cannot wait to wear this tomorrow.
I'm going to layer it with Eros EDP and see how it does...this is so dreamy!! A smoky sweet apple-vanilla has been one of my dream fragrances!
Tomorrow...I will finally have it!! WOOHOO!!!!

Full review to follow....

18JUL22
Wow...oh wow...oh wow....what an experience.
I started out the day layering 3 sprays of RIW on my chest and one in each inner-elbow. Loving the opening scent, I decided to spray two more shots...one behind each ear (This was too far...) After RIW dried down I layered Eros EDP on top of it and a few shots on my shirt.
By the time I got my tie on a minute later...my eyes were watering.
I walked to the bathroom, got out two wipes and started cleaning off the sprays I put behind my ears. I knew better than to put something so strong so close...but I did it anyway.
After cleaning out RIW from behind my ears I was good to go.
The combination of the two fragrances turned out EXACTLY like I expected. The vanilla-apple-wood of Eros with the smoky-caramel-campfire of RWI....Perfection!!

I went throughout the day smelling awesome, but a few hours after arriving at work...I couldn't smell the fragrance that strongly any longer. I was initially disappointed because i'd been loving smelling it all while driving to work. Even with the windows full open it was strong enough to smell over the wind blowing! Stoplights were an actual enjoyment today, lol!! But I digress....by the time lunch hit, I couldn't smell anything that strongly at all and I wondered if it could be possible that the fragrances had worn off? Given the nature of each of them, I just couldn't believe it to be possible. Dismayed, I went to run errands for lunch and I don't remember what made me hold my breath...I think it was a dead skunk on the road...but I held my breath for a good minute or two while driving the distance of about 2-3 blocks. By the time I had stopped and exhaled and breathed in again, the FLOOD of RWI and EROS hit my nose and KNEW at that point that neither fragrance had worn off...I'd just gone anosmic to it!
I laughed and laughed and went about my errands knowing that I smelled just as awesome as earlier in the day and that everyone else would be able to smell me also! I didn't get any compliments during the day, but I got one in the evening from a friend that my wife and I were hanging out with.
Tomorrow I'm going to layer RWI with another fragrance and see how it does...I have a feeling it's going to be as awesome as today was.

By the way, with RWI doing super-duty on the incense/smoke front...I may get rid of my bottle of LENAE and just keep the original Encre Noire. I honestly don't need both now...lol. LENAE was always kinda weak on the incense anyhow...it's mostly vetiver.

Backup bottles ordered. This stuff is perfection!

Nanners88

This is a wonderful unisex fragrance. Such a great balance of woods, smokiness and sweetness. I think if you thought that the original was too sweet or if you didn't enjoy the incense, then this one will better suit you.

Charlesuh60m

I'm so glad that I finally decided to get this! It is absolutely gorgeous and would work great in colder weather. It reminds me of Nag Champa incense but more masculine if that makes sense.

HulkJr

One thing that confuses me about Middle Eastern Scents on a Western Nose, is that people in the west tend to slot these into the "winter" category, which is actually hilarious considering their origins.

Edit: This turns into pure deer piss on my skin, with a slight guiac undertone.

zackrevolvex

i went to the shopping mall and sniffing Roja Sweetie Aoud.. then i recall this perfume. same experience anyone?

MarkoPeeko

The smell’s back.

Amazing frag. Seriously. OK, the sugary opening is a little too sweet for me, and it lasts a good 30 mins or so, but when that dry down kicks in. Wow.

First hit. Liquorice. Really prominent after half an hour. Second - Smoke and wood. The incense and woods combine beautifully.

In a class of its own. Never smelled By The Fireplace so can’t compare the two. Not even near TF’s Oud Wood.

For the price, this is a no-brainer. A stunning winter scent. Best worn in front of the fireplace.

MarkoPeeko

Blocked nose with the occasional clearance. Sprayed a couple of small doses. The Mrs can smell me. She thinks it’s adorable. Sweet, smoky wood.

It’s passed the first test. (Usually the second).

The wafts I am getting are divine.

Back to properly review soon. So far, so good.

MarkoPeeko

Was so looking forward to reviewing this. Then C19 poked its nose in. Can’t smell a bloody thing.

Interesting packaging (bottle banging around a large box??). Getting hints of sweetness, but I’ll be back once the head clears.

Whiffs

Addictive, gorgeous. Lattafa has made some fragrances which have scent profile that's amazingly beautiful. Raghba wood intense is one of them. I guess some people would be put off by opening of this fragrance but you gotta give it some time. The medicinal and bit too sweet opening calms down after some time and you start to get woods prominently. This is not a linear fragrance so you have to be patient to realise it's beauty. For the price, this fragrance is insane.

dlopeztt

A woody fragrance with sweet wrapped around it Middle Eastern style.
The only difference to my nose between this and the original is the woods in this one.

TobaccoSense

Warm, sweet but not too sweet, woody, a little spicy. I like the incense in this scent. This offers some depth and this scent is great for fall/winter. You can go heavy on the sprays with this. Longevity is an issue, lasts a few hours on my skin. An upside is the price. You can pick this up for under $40 for 100ml. You could layer this with something stronger like Amouage Interlude Man in cold weather

Nayan Basistha

I just can't stand the opening because it's too sweet for my taste. But in the dry down it starts to smell like burnt wood. It's very cosy for cold nights. It's a very artistic perfume not a compliment puller.
Longevity 7 hours with 2 hours of projection

Dave H

Curiosity got the better of me on this one especially at only £13 for 100ml & being from Lattafa I figured it couldn't be that bad ......... I was wrong it was! I've tried my hardest to like this but just cannot, I can only describe the smell as a not very pleasant 'smokey damp wood' maybe I'm nose blind to its true qualities because some reviews I watched praised it - to me, a scent is like beauty, it's in the eye or in this case the nose of the beholder & what is nice to one may not be to the other. This is definitely not for me!

UPDATE:
I've had this now for about a year & most of that time it's been in my 'not keen on drawer' but I tried it on skin the other day & either the 'aroma receptors' in my nose have changed or the perfume has improved slightly over the last year, macerated I think it's called - not sure but it's definitely better than I remember a year ago!

Hans Shukar

It reminds me of how old wax that was used for hair removal smelled. I cannot wear this. Even in freezing weather this is just weird. Nothing natural smells like this. I think of chemicals and hot metals.

It does last long. But somehow I could never get used to it. Someone that entered the same room as me said that something smells bad, like cat litter.

Idk, maybe I have peasant taste :(

hclivess

10/10 for everything. This is a masterpiece. Exactly my kind of fragrance. Smells like a fireplace burning expensive woods. Simply glorious and amazing. Sugar and caramel also included and firmly entwined.

MoonFlare

I just got my bottle I'm wearing it at night in 57 degree winter weather...I'm not sure if I like it or not. So far it smells of maple syrup...I don't get any wood or caramel, just old, sticky maple syrup. I'm trying to find the words to make my review more specific, but this scent is just a linear deep, stale & sweet smell. I WANT to like it because I blind bought it based off the positive reviews...I'll review it again after I spent a whole day with it.

UPDATE: I spent the whole day with it, and it still smells of oatmeal/maple syrup vibe. Maybe it doesn't do well on my skin. Shame because I wanted to like this so bad.

Metolord

This is clone of Aoud café by Mancera ! Hands down!!!
Oud, coffe and sweetness

This is an affordable hidden GEM! This fragrance was one of my first introduction to middle eastern fragrances. Generally I keep my expectations low for fragrances on the cheaper side, so when I first smelled this juice I was astonished. I get a major campfire vibe from this fragrance. It reminds me of roasting marshmallows over a bonfire. It has a beautiful caramel, burnt sugar, smoky opening. This fragrance dries down to a smoky semi-sweet vanilla, and I love it. This fragrance lasts easily 10+ hours on my skin and projects like a beast for the first 3 hours. The presentation is wonderful. The bottle feels very high quality and the cap is a decent weight. This is a beautifully blended scent. My girlfriend and I both love this fragrance. This is a safe blind buy for the price.

Quick Update: I recently sampled By The Fireplace and Raghba does share similarities. To me it seems like Raghba Wood Intense smells much sweeter and slightly less smoky than By The Fireplace. Both fragrances are amazing. If you like one, I feel like you would like the other as well!

stephen.redeker

What took me so long? I just started getting into these heavy oud fragrances from the middle east, after years of trying everything else. This was the first Lattafa I've ever tried, and WOW! What a beauty! The comparisons to "By The Fireplace" are true. This is very similar, except Raghba Wood Intense has a sweet caramel note mixed in with that campfire smell. As it dries down, I get this ashy scent which is very similar to a campfire as it burns out. The performance is great, as it lasts around 6-8 hours on my skin and projects well for the first four hours or so. And for $25? (Some of you are getting this for under $20??) What's not to love?! This was a revelation. I have several more to test and review from this fragrance house.

noseblind

The opening is messy but the drydown is fantastic and projected for 8+ hours on me, two sprays on my chest/stomach under my shirt. Extremely likable to me and when I'm wearing it I want to keep smelling the puffs coming out of my shirt. I wouldn't wear this on exposed skin or on the outside of my clothes because it is too strong and will choke ppl out. Incense/smoke + woods + burnt sugar, and I prefer this one over By The Fireplace which is similar.

Considering the price, this is huge value.

Bonus: I wore a t shirt that had Afnan Supremacy in Oud dried on it (still strong after 24 hours!) and then sprayed Raghba Wood Intense on my chest under it, and the combined smell is blowing my mind. I'll have to try it again to confirm if it really is this killer, but right now it works extremely well. I'm pretty sure the openings of both together would be a terrible mess, though.

WGG

Original Raghba (caramel) overlaid with ++powerful and lasting notes of smoke and liquorice. Whilst different notes, I recall the overall 'feel' of the wonderful, but expensive TF Tobacco Oud. I get excellent performance. I may in time acquire the taste but currently a disappointment though only cost £12 so not much lost. Right now I much prefer the smoother, mellower experience of the OG (and Tobacco oud, for that matter despite the ££).

a.elmahdy

It smells as if you're hugging a smoky trunk of a tree which is excreting caramel. It has a nice warm vibe from the amber, and a balanced combination of smoky wood and sweet notes. The woody notes here are "tree like wood" but in a nice way. It also has a lot of "texture" and depth mainly from the licorice and feels complex overall. Longevity is nearly 6 hour on skin and almost a day on clothes. Perfectly unisex, and excellent value for money.

I-smells-u

Great in winter, burnt sugar and caramel dominate on me. Love this

Teq_Cowboy

Imagine eating the most luxurious Indian food in a forest. This is that. 10/10

goninjagoninjago

I live in a humid and warm tropical climate. I blind bought this. I kinda regret it, because it is too pungent.
However, I find a good way to use it, just 1 spray of this, plus 5-7 sprays of sweeter fragrances, especially the Qaed Al Fursan, makes a great combo.

Just be really careful, the wood/oud smells very artificial, and it can be very offensive at times. None of my colleagues or family members liked it, and some of them complained about it. Be warned, it's not a good blind buy fragrance, and I was fooled by a YouTuber that claims that this is the best Lattafa fragrance he ever bought, even better than the original Raghba.

Professor_Q

I don’t have much to add to the reviews that are already here but I agree with others that find this a pleasant, unusual and very well-performing fragrance. And at a very reasonable price too.

Wood smoke, caramel / burnt sugar and (to a lesser degree) wood notes are the main accords for me and they stay strong thoughout. The sugar note is “burnt” enough that it doesn’t actually smell all that sweet, much more smoky. I see that cedar is listed here as one of the notes; I love cedar in fragrances but I don’t detect any here. Nor do I detect any oud, synthetic or otherwise, just a general “woodiness” that I cannot place. More burning wood than wood itself, though. I do NOT detect any burning plastic or rubber as several people have mentioned. Reviewers here mention “campfires” quite a bit, and that is a very good description of my experience too. Some of the other notes listed here, vanilla, licorice, and musk, I’m not smelling. Amber and sandalwood come out in the long dry down, after a couple of hours, but only faintly for me.

I have had three people tell me that it reminds them of maple syrup, and I agree with that! I’m talking genuine dark maple syrup here, not the “Log Cabin / Mrs. Butterworth” corn syrup stuff you get in the grocery. If you were sitting next to a bonfire and opened up a bottle of maple syrup and took a deep sniff, I think that might approximate what I’m getting. I know that might not sound very appealing but it is quite nice and different from anything else I’ve tried!

Performance is as strong as anything I’ve had in the past 20 years, comparable to the powerful fragrances of the 80s. (I’ve been wearing fragrances for about 40 years!). Go easy, two sprays is strong, three sprays might be overpowering to others. I’ve often heard people here on Fragrantica mention that they can still smell a fragrance after they have showered, but I never had that experience until Raghba Wood Intense! I just got out of the shower, but can still smell it faintly.

This is a really nice fragrance, and one that I can see myself wearing regularly for a while to come. Strangely, there is no batch code on the bottle (I’ve already discarded the box); but I bought this in October 2021 from a reputable online dealer. I had a sample two or three years ago (2018 or 2019) and this seems to be identical, no reformulation that I can detect. Mine is labeled an EDP.

Speedhorn

Had this since 2018, really enjoy the scent but rarely wear it. Love smelling it from the atomiser sweet and incredibly smokey. It lasts days on clothes and a good 7/8 hours bit stays close to the skin. Exception value for money and worth a blind buy, but only really suitable for a cold evening imo.

9/10 taking price into account

FJBunsen

Given the price, obviously, it's not using real "oud". However, performs great. Makes a statement. Quite a compliment getter too ill be honest.

Starlight_moon

It was a blind buy, and based on the previous reviews, I was expecting truly woody fragrance, someone even compared it to the famous By the Fireplace (which is my favorite). But alas, it smells nothing like BTF and it doesn't smell woody (hello, wood intense?) at all. It smells like a stale air of the old hookah place. Very cheap and gross.

ecojoe69

This is not sweet or boozy to my nose so I am not sure I can agree with the comparisons to Raghba. It IS a pretty profound wood scent that lasts forever. Mostly wood, so Wood Intense seem appropriate to me. On the drydown, some of the caramel and sugar comes out but the wood last forever. Not sure I love it enough to get a bottle but I do like it and can appreciate it.

adamp1

I do not understand the youtube videos behind this fragrance. Smells like you have been stood next to a bonfire for a few hours and nothing more. I've had a couple of friends smell and test it and they all think its disgusting but what do you expect for around £12 I'm surprised the company even profit from this fragrance seeing as how the bottle is high quality.

P-Nay

This smells like a firepit and smoores kind of night scent! Woody, sturdy, rich, lingering burning incense, slightly peppery in the backround~then that pleasant, scorching sugar and caramel comes in and nestles right in with the smoke that makes this a cushy, sweetened & smoldering aroma. Not overpowering at all. I don't get oud with this fragrance but the woody notes are enough to where it leans in that direction of oud but not quite. Without-a-doubt, tantalizing!

In the drydown, I definitely get that caramel, sugar, amber and vanilla which give this beauty a nice punch- a super affordable middle eastern fragrance. This may be tagged for men (who cares) I love it on me. This is a fall/winter, well blended unisex, boo-cuddling/lay on the shoulder type of scent. Very nice and long lasting, however, I can't say that it's a safe unsighted purchase BUT If you know your notes and what you like in your fragrances, this is definitely blind-buy-deserving.

smellsbells

Up my alley i believe .if you have a bottle to swap let me know

SimplDude

A sweet fruity smoky gourmand that is perfect for fall till early spring. It has some similar vibe with Memories from The Gates Fragrance Paris which I also own. I am glad to have this in my frag collection and a staple under my middle eastern scents category. Projection and performance seems pretty decent for its price point. I can't complain. I like this one.

I will give this delightful juice a 9/10

“Let us spread the scents of peace and kindness. The two most beautiful fragrance in the world that will cost you nothing and will get you a totally different kind of compliments” 🙏

fromthebayandaroundtheway

Raghba is a great fragrance that delivers the goods when it comes to woody, sweet spiciness. This is a fragrance that gives a lot; projection, sillage and longevity, it has it all. However, with great power comes great responsibility. Raghba requires a bit of thought on when to wear it and certainly how to apply it. It is a real beast of a scent and gets stronger with a bit of body heat.
I have had this perfume for about 2 months now and as soon as the cooler weather had finally hit, I applied this for a day's wear and I can't stop wearing it! Raghba opens with a sweet mess of caramel, vanilla and some woody notes. It eventually settles after a few minutes and we get some faint notes of oud, sandalwood and amber that pick up in volume as the fragrance blossoms. What I like most about Raghba is the warmth it projects as a scent. To write this fragrance off as overly sweet is too easy, give it some time. As for the warmth I mentioned, well, the wood and oud notes that appear, give this fragrance depth and the transition from the initial sweet opening gives a real cozy warm effect. As the scent dries down, I really love the harmony between the incense and licorice notes, it comes off different, a real unique scent, that offers a bit of complexity.
Now, when to wear Raghba? Easy! Autumn, winter and that's that! Raghba, isn't that dark, brooding winter statement fragrance. It is more of that; bright, cheery, cozy, winter vibe of a scent. It is really a joy to wear and puts on a real show in the cold weather. The application of this fragrance is simple, a few sprays on the neck, chest and arms, anywhere that this fragrance can heat up over your skin basically. This scent should be worn on a day or night out and could be worn occasionally in the office. Raghba is for the 25 and up crowd and as I said, can dress up or down.
Give Raghba a few sprays on those cold days when the comfy feeling of your favorite sweater just won't do!

MAKSTR

Sugary sweet opening immediately followed by burning dry cut wood planks in pyrolysis. The burning wood's smoke smell is dominant over incense followed by some light sweet notes. Vanilla, Oud and Cedar are not noticeable.
Stays that way for about 4 hours on my skin on clothes 2 - 3 hours more. A bit synthetic.
If you layer it with a smokey or incense based smokey scent you'll get the smell of Dracula's coffin.
I'd prefer BBQ burning charcoal smell over it.

Scent 6/10
Sillage 7/10 In open a person sitting 5 ft away will notice you.
Longevity 8/10 4+ hours
Value 6/10

radex

It's very strange ... The first time when I sprayed was like a bomb of chaos.. Sweet ..Honey ..Bitter .. Smoky .. and yes of course Vanilla... But with every next spray.. I love it .. Smells like an original Raghba but with a smoky notes ..

MissStranger

I can’t believe this is coming from someone who adores sweet fragrances, but Raghba Wood Intense is almost overwhelmingly sweet. The opening is very syrupy and synthetic to me, and while the sweetness does eventually become less intense, it takes a couple of hours for it to do so. I really can’t pick out any licorice, cedar, oakmoss, or other notes that might otherwise balance out the sweetness.

I will be keeping it to try in cold weather (and to see if my perceptions change with time, also), but at the moment I can’t see this being a fragrance I wear out of the house.

LW303

This fragrance is one of the most interesting ones I have smelt thus far. It smells like I have just walked into a temple in South East Asia or China. If you wanna smell like a temple then buy this haha. Very woody and strong. I have not used it much as I never know when to wear it at all. Great performer and lasts all day. Also is very cheap which is great. Dunno how to feel about this one but if you wanna smell like a temple buy it.

Novoscentologist

Lataffa raghba wood intense....

It is an intense oud with a lot of smoke.
It is a nice rich woody scent which lasts a long time.

However, while the bottle is made out of thick glass and the overall design looks great, my sprayer fell apart after the third use...that lead to the fragrance evaporating and condensating on the underside of the cap which desolved the very thin gold layer which came off.
Had to glue the sprayer back in place but not sure yet if it did the trick.

hendrafellany

this will immediately smell familiar if you've been to any part of the middle east. sweet, woody, caramel, licorice notes that make a very masculine blend. very smooth and potent, with powerful projection. 2 sprays will last till the next day for me.

an evening scent for me when i'm in my traditional ethnic clothing. an 8/10 for me.

wandy

woody & caramelic.. strong projection, longevity is super good.. day & day & night.. i love it

TimoTimonen

This smells like a Christmas market. Not good or bad, just an observation

Blizznakov

One of the best in my collection. The bottle design is simple but fine. Longevity is more than 12 hours on my skin and the projection is within 3-6 feet for 3-4 hours and slowly fading after that. The scent is amazing and damn unique. Smell like different kinds of wood and sweet caramel. Really unique and likeable scent. The price is just perfect. I would totally pay more for that scent.

I smell a kind of caramel wood upon the first spritz. I actually said to myself that this would be just another woodsy scent. Not so. The more I wear it, the more I wanna wear it. It’s sweet, it’s woodsy, it’s well put together and for a great bargain. It’s like walking into a forest in candy land. A great blind buy. U can’t lose.

On my 2nd wearing my wife came in the room about 5 minutes after 2 sprays and she said, "Man it smells like burnt tires in here. What is that?" with a very disgusted face. In which I replied, you like this one but not right now, and either do I. So...

Opening-Harsh and offputting, very pungent and nothing has settled yet. Give it time!

Mid-30 to 60 minutes it transitions to a likeable state, less cheap and nasty smelling. But now has a tinge of maple/ antifreeze smell. Still synthetic.

Drydown-Pretty good stuff. Enjoyable from here on out for several hours with great longevity and moderate sillage.

Not like by the fireplace per se. Maybe Cousins.

More like if Juicy Gold made a mens version or a flanker to the 24 gold line. It's ok but I'd rather have about 10 other fragrances before this one for that gold oud feeling.

6.5/10 for me personally

NykTri

very nice dry down, opening is a bit too much for few but i dont get those burnt sugar or tire kinda vibes, for me it is wood and sugar which smells majestic in dry down.
i get very poor projection and longevity. will test more.

Zadym

In my opinion, it resembles Mancer Red Tobacco. 🤷♂️

laynenguyen

@lilianrannu - Are you sure you're smelling the correct scent? I actually can't imagine a woman wearing this.

lilianrannu

It's a very good scent, but it's more of a women's scent. Can't imagine a man wearing it. It is very similar to The Merchant of Venice Byzantium Saffron.

FrescoScents

So cheap but so so good. This is a situational fragrance for me and it's in the same vein as By The Fireplace. Beast mode performance. I smell burnt wood and caramel. Fall, winter, night.

A warm and wintery autumn fragrance for cool-days and nights that smells good of : caramel - coffee or bitter chocolate - a little bit of wood and dark and bitter herbal with a little incense and oud , of course it does not have a new and unique scent but good fragrance quality , as if Black Afgano Nasomatto perfume Sprayed with a little Black Orchid and Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford at the same time and with a slight change of notes , these scents are transferred , Finally , on the skin , an odor similar to Encre Noire A L'Extreme with a Black Afgano theme remains , but on most clothes , the same smell of caramel and coffee or bitter chocolate with a wooden incense theme is felt

The fragrance is very dignified and majestic , that is , when I compared it with Woody Mood Olfactive Studio perfume at the same time , Woody Mood had a fragrant citrusy scent compared to this perfume , although it has a relatively heavy scent !

Suitable for ages 30 and up and formal and party ceremonies or official meetings with relatively good and specific distribution for about 2 hours and a shelf life of 6 -- 7 hours on the skin , high quality bottle and pump and button nozzle sprayed like a ghost of perfume , price $16 for 100ml I bought it , which was worth buying , if it is found somewhere , it is recommended to test this warm and sweet caramel and slightly bitter winter woody aroma .

I just received Raghba Wood Intense today and I'm loving it. This is my second Lattafa fragrance, the first being Velvet Oud which I also love. So far Lattafa is batting 1000 for me.

So a little background on me. I really do not like sweet smelling fragrances in general. No Paco Rabanne 1 Million or Versace Eros clubbing scents in my collection and there never will be. Likewise, I'm not into heavy florals either. I tend to go for stuff with woods, booze, coffee, vetiver, incense, resins, leather, and did I mention woods? The current trend in men's fragrances is depressing for me. Give me an 80's powerhouse or Bentley Intense, or Bvlgari Man Black orient, or Ferragamo Uomo Signature rather than some metrosexual sweet candy juice loaded with ambroxan.

So Raghba Wood Intense had me excited (smoky woods) and worried (caramel and sugar). I'm happy to report that the woods, incense, oak moss and musk dominate the caramel, sugar, and vanilla. What the sweet elements provide here is the illusion that you're smelling not just woods but wood that is in a fireplace or campfire. This is NOT a twist on a clubbing fragrance. I picture wearing this in front of a roaring fire after a day of skiing with a brandy or bourbon in my hand. Or maybe at a bonfire on a beach in October.....with a beer in my hand and a hoodie on.

So the sweet elements here don't make me nauseous. They actually contribute to the overall effect the fragrance is going for. I don't detect the licorice as a distinct note. It may be used to pull off the "burning wood effect" also. And there ain't one dang floral note anywhere. This stuff is all man.

With that said, I can see why a lot of guys who were weaned on the current crop of men's fragrances from the last decade may not like this and may feel all insecure about wearing something like this. Also, I have no delusions about this being a compliment magnet for women. I'd bet most women would not instantly "love" something like this. But.....I'd also bet that any guy with the balls to pull this off will make an impression with the ladies just because you're wearing it for you, not them. If you're gonna wear this, you better have thick skin and an attitude of "I don't really care that you don't like it, I do".

For me, this is what a man's fragrance should be. Not for everyone. Not there to attract women. Ya just wear it because you damn well are gonna wear whatever ya like and you like the smell of burning wood on a cold, dark night.

As for longevity and projection, I can tell that this is no citrus bomb that dies in an hour. But a real opinion will have to wait until fall or winter. I'm wearing this in 75 deg F weather at the moment.

Regarding price and value Raghba Wood Intense is right up there with Bentley For Men Intense, Lattafa's own Velvet Oud, Lalique's Encre Noire trio, and Ferragamo's Uomo Signature. Which is to say price is low (under $30) and the quality / scent is off the charts. This is as good as any niche product selling for $150 and up.

If I have any gripe with Raghba Wood Intense it would be the bottle / packaging. The bottle is a simple square design with vinyl stickers on 3 sides that are trying to simulate a wood look. Reminds me of 80's Detroit cars with the fake woodgrain glued on. It's the opposite of "class". Oddly though, the cap is really nicely done. Looks aside this bottle is really comfortable and easy to hold securely plus the atomizer is good. And honestly, the look of the bottle is waaaay down at the bottom of my priorities when it comes to a fragrance. No one is ever going to see the bottle. So if a cheap, simple bottle allowed Lattafa to bring this great fragrance to market at a reasonable price, I'm more than OK with vinyl stickers on a generic piece of glass.

Getting a whiff off a tester is not likely in the USA. I don't know any stores here that stock Lattafa. Blind buy? Yes, if you like these heavy, dark, manly scents. This is a great one! If you're into sweet clubbing juice, blue fragrances, and generic citrus bombs, I'd say just stay away. You ain't gonna like this any better than Gucci Guilty Absolute. Don't even try. On the other hand, if you're open minded and like stuff that is different and strong, you may want to give this a try. But for God's sake don't go around apologizing to everyone for wearing it. Just tell them to go find another place to stand.

ADDENDUM to my earlier review, as promised:

After multiple additional wearings of this, the pungent accord of the opening and mid (which I continue to guess is some combination of licorice and Guaiac wood) still dominates completely. Thankfully it is no longer as sharp and acrid, so it is at least wearable. This scent overall remains a big disappointment to me, though, as I still can't smell anything else until late in the drydown and this accord is not pleasing to me (it is heavy and sour and varnishy (is that a word?)). It is also somewhat headache inducing for me.

I really was hoping for discernable sweetness, woodiness, amber, and smokiness; unbelievably I find very little if any of those characteristics here. Oh well, you pay your money and you take your chances. YMMV. I am glad that there are some who have been happy with this, and I still am very thankful to Lattafa for Oud Mood.

Double Addendum: Tonight I put this on just before dinner (as we were going out afterword). After we ate my wife asked me if I had turned off the oven, as she could smell something burning, but joked that maybe it was just me. I was embarrassed so I just said "well everything on the oven is turned off." I was relieved when she didn't question me further. OK I guess that is enough said.

If you're looking for a high quality winter fragrance at a dirt cheap price, this is the king of this specific kingdom.

This is my second review on this. I've had this for a few years now and every autmn when the weather starts getting cold, I bust this out and remind myself why I love this fragrance so much. God damn. This is probably one of the best value fragrance you can buy at the moment. So incredibly high quality for the price. I wouldn't bat an eye if I smelt this on a $250 fragrance.

This is so deep and refined. That initial opening blast of dark, sweet smoke is so strong, but not at all synthetic, and lingers for hours and hours. The drydown actually reminds me a lot of Tobacco Oud, but this probably preforms better to be honest, this goes on past the 12 hour mark on my skin.

If you like the high quality fragrances that go in a darker direction with this price range, also check out:
Ted Lapidus Black Soul Imperial ($29)
Hanei Mori HM ($35).
Won't dissapoint.

9/10 fragrance from me. Just great.

This fragrance will re-define Beast mode for you. This is the signature Middle East vibe in a bottle. It is beautifully done although below covers what I smell.

First 30-60 mins- heavy smoky/woody incense. To a point where I’m yearning for some sweetness. It felt like there was no front runner standout note..(apart from the dominant woods of course) and it seemed very one dimensional. Then... the mids kick in and a gorgeous, sugary, comforting yet rugged sweetness emerges and puts a smile on your dial! Now it is balanced. Now there is support and you can feel the complete scent. It is worth the wait. Wish the vanilla was more prominent than the incense in the dry down.

Note:this is not a blind buy. This is an acquired taste for most palettes. Glad to have this in my collection to add variety. I don’t smell ‘by the fireplace’ in this one. Directionally (smoky/woody) they might be same but they are diff scents in my opinion. If you own it & are unsure...give it a go again, the smell does grow on you!

TonkaBeanTruck

Its good but, bad.

Good, in that it smells yummy.
Bad, in that.. that's all its got going for it. It smells just like Fairy Floss and Coco powder, nothing particularly exciting or exuding quality.
Interestingly, it has a uncanny resemblance to, Dua Cherry Casino.

NourhanneTalaat

i bought it as a gift for my fiancée and i was like aaaah <3 <3
it's very mescaline , woody and it has a sugary note i could sniff it on him along with the intense woody notes
it's very seductive , very very strong and long lasting
highly recommend it
perfect for winter and night time
really underrated and value for money

ivaylops

If this was released by one of the bigger niche houses, people would've been bending over backwards to cover it with superlatives. But it's an arabian perfume, so let's bash it for no reason. Elitism is strong in the comments.
To me this isn't just a fragrance, it's an experience. It paints a picture and for some people even draws back memories. It transfers you by the fireplace at night in the woods in front of the cabin roasting marshmallows, chatting with friends, playing on the guitar, singing and having fun.

If you're looking for By The Fireplace clone look elsewhere, as this is not it.

Fragscenthead

I just wanna say that Lattafa is a powerhouse for me. All the scents I own are above the average. This one has nothing to do with MMM - By the Fireplace.

I can smell wood varnish but an oriental smokey version. I don't get the sweet caramel note. Really strong, really long lasting. A must have for people over 40. In this price I wish I had order 5-6 bottles more.

This is a weird one. I wish I could figure it out and like it. I will keep at it and hopefully post a second and better review. But here is where I am right now:

1) On the first three wearings of this I could smell nothing at the opening except a very faint, distant, burnt plastic smell. On each occasion it took an hour or two for enough of the fragrance to come to the fore to be sure I was even wearing a fragrance. I then decided to shake the bottle before applying it in hopes that the mixture might - well - mix better.

2) After doing that, the burnt plastic smell became much stronger right in the opening and there also seems to be some depth to it - but because that smell is so strong, I can't figure out what is lending that depth. The plastic smell is obviously an "accord" but of what I could not tell you for sure, except to speculate it is of the licorice and the guaiac wood. I've never smelled Cedar burning so I don't know there... but there is no Cedar scent here independently as I know it.

3) I sense no sweetness in the form of either caramel or sugar during the opening or mid. Just a pervasive, persistent burning plastic. Not burnt marshmallows, mind you, but burnt plastic. I suppose it is the licorice lending this effect but this licorice brings with it a sourness rather than a sweetness. Am I anosmic to sugar? I didn't think so.

4) Throughout the opening and mid I smell no woods "per se." Just the burning plastic. For a fragrance that calls itself "Wood Intense" this is a terrific (and intense) disappointment.

5) Finally, after a period of hours (lets say in the 3-5 hour range as I didn't exactly time it) the "burning plastic" smell recedes enough so that the dry down becomes very pleasant. At this point, the dry down is comprised exactly of the Fragrantica-listed base notes (Incense, Vanilla, Amber, Oakmoss, and Musk) in a nice balance. More ambery than anything else, to my nose. RyanLi, I would love to know your "secret ingredient"!

I'm totally befuddled. Is this really such a mess? Maybe I just need to give it some more time. There seems to be such a total lack of composition and development when it comes to the opening and heart. Given my experience with this scent I can understand Fazh97's review and some of the things other folks have mentioned about lack of woods, lack of sweetness, etc. My question is, was this reformulated lately? If not, how can we have such glowing reviews and then all of a sudden lately such different and negative ones? Hard to believe it's all a matter of body chemistry and olfactory bias.

nicksolihin

Strong smell of wood, there's no sweet smell, maybe not my taste

Fazh97

Tried this for a few days

Up top you get a burnt plastic smell. Very unpleasant and screechy

In the mid it sweetens with licorice, burnt sugar, and also has some woods. However the wood smells like wood polish- sharp and synthetic.

About an hour later the drydown is the best bit. You get that marshmallow burning on a fire smell other reviewers have mentioned, but there's still a sharp, sourness underneath. I think it's the licorice which creates a pissy smell that ruins this for me. Burning marshmallows on a campfire while someone is pissing 6 feet away from you.

Horrible for an hour, then okay after that. 6/10

BigWhiff

Blind bought this for note composition. To me this is abnoxious, overwhelming, and too sweet. Honestly this is the most powerful fragrance ive ever smelled in my entire life. I actually enjoyed the opening, but after 2 minutes it immediately gave me a headache and made me nauseous. And that was just one small spray on the back of my hand. The burnt resinous sugar was just too much for me. Scrubbed and scrubbed my hand, even used coffee grounds to try to erase the smell. Took a shower, scrubbed some more, and then sprayed another fragrance over top of it to mask the smell. Woke up the next morning and it was still there lol. I dont think I like middle eastern fragrances very much, especially this one. But holy cow is this juice potent! Definitely not for me though.
