Im not getting much liquorice at all, very subtle. But Violet? Oh My God. It smells just like Viol Candy we have here in sweden, and the second i put it on, my dad got in the mood for sweets.
I think the people saying it smells intense of anis just havent smelled violet flowers before and therefor cant recognize it when it steals the entire show!
It starts off insanely sweet with the violet and cherry, vanilla..
It dries off more anis very soft however and flowers like iris and stays on the praline note.

Soft powdery and sweet. Dont overspray it. One spray.

Little Principessa

It's very bad. I can only smell licorice. And I hate licorice. Lesson learned. For those who hate licorice, do NOT buy this perfume. It's a matter of taste but I think licorice in this one is just too much.

contristo

This is for my fellow girlies who have sorted the microperfumes list from least to most expensive because you know miss lolita is always right there. She’s cute, she’s definitely very young and fun, little complexity. A body spray smell in a perfume container. Love the fruity notes, but lose a lot of the anise to overpowering alcohol. Very fresh with flirts of licorice sweetness. My signature drag scent as of rn, because what queen isn’t a little cheap. They have a shimmer version and I think I absolutely require it.

lalalunevail

Oh my goodness! Snagged a tiny spray pen of this and I was NOT expecting to sniff such a similar profile to Guerlain's La petit robe noir series... absolutely love!!!

CatWalk

My aunt Marilene has always been a heavy smoker, however she would do anything to mask the Marlboro cloud around her. She would walk into the room and a mixture of anis mouth wash, a 80's perfume and her Marlboro would take over and it would linger everywhere she went. This is my aunt Marilene in a bottle.

Totalcrazys

This literally smells like new JPG le male elixir 😀
My husband got a tester and iam like wait what ??? Crazy

beckaboom

not for me, too licoricey and strange (but I could see someone else enjoying it, its a very unique scent!)

DrGeetaVas

I have the oil the shower cream and the perfume balm and of course the perfume… i love the oil the best i like this perfume … its different and intoxicating to me … its not for everyone … but its for me … when i will run out i will be sad… havent used the perfume though but using the oil and the balm its easy to carry …

AnaHebe

This has been my signature scent for some years now. Luckily I was gifted a Pacific Creations formula some months ago. As many have described; this fragrance is whimsical, unique and complex. If Lolita were really a fairy she wouldn't be your typical "fairy- godmother"---No----. She would be a pixie dressed in violet petals & ivy vines. She's flirtatious, youthful and a bit synister.

KatelynMLovesPerfume

No offense to the people that love this but this was definitely not for me at all. It made me realize I hate licorice, anise, and cherry notes together. I was very intrigued by the bottle and the popularity of this not gonna lie, and everyone always described this as heavenly and sweet. Noooo. It is not. It's a anise and licorice warm spice BOMB. This one was a scrubber for me. Anise, licorice, and cherry are always notes I look out for so I'm not sure why I even tried this one.

elfwizard69420

at first i was kinda so-so on this but it has grown on me. on first sniff i thought it was just kinda Generic Powdery/Anis Perfume Smell and i was a bit disappointed but it actually dries down really beautifully on me, like delicious apple pie. once i get through the first minute, it is *lovely*

gzbnyz

I dont know what to feel about it, it was very spicy in the beginning which made me a bit nauseous, in that way it reminded me of hypnotic poison. then it dried down and it became okay, a bit herbal and sweet. i think i will have to experiment with it a little more because i really wanted to like this perfume.

Blackpearl13

I still have the bottle that I bought 10 years ago, still smells good though. I never understand the comparison of Lolita to La Petit Robe Noir cause that one is very syrupy while my old Lolita smell like the sweet smoke of an enchanted forest, it's like a twisted fairy tale. My bottle starts to run out so I bought 10ml decant of the new reformation. Huge disappointed you guys! Still smells 80% like Lolita but lost all the magic, more syrupy sweetness, now it does smell like La Petit Robe Noir, it smells more generic candy/cough syrup now, like a herbal cough syrup you get when you're sick. It broke my heart cause Lolita is one of my most unique scent that gets me compliments magnet, I only wear it in my special days and my friends always love the scent on me, but then when they bought it for themself they said: "it doesn't smell as good as you wearing it", that's when I know it was my signature scent.
Now I can't stand the sickly sweetness of the new one. It like the body is still here but the soul left. Lolita is my first fragrance that I bought when I'm so poor and I spent all my money from working as a waiter in 1 month when I was in College ( I'm from Vietnam, they pay very little for student who got partime job) .
Lolita, my dream, my fairytale, my youth,... I went through 5 bottles, I started to look for a new signature scent since I knew it's been reformulated. I discovered a lot of masterpieces but I never feel any of them is "me". I started my perfume obsession because of you, my dear Lolita. It sounds dramatic but you know when you're so attached to something, you died a little bit inside when it's gone.
Now I have a lot of perfumes but I can't even know which one is my signature, like I'm just a hoarder and I lost my identity. I miss those days when I only had 1 perfume and treasured it so much. R.I.P 😭

it's like candy... wouldn't wear this above the age of 16. but very happy scent, with a lot of hope left in her. smells like a 2000s childhood.

Some notes: I used to have a bottle of the Pacific Creations formula of Lolita Lempicka, circa 2017. It was easy to come by for 20 USD when it was being phased out. I liked it enough, but my nose was unstudied and I gave it to a friend...who then gave it back to me five years later, probably stored under questionable conditions, yet smelling better and greener than ever. I wore it a lot, then ended up selling it online, still quite full, because it was proving to be the neverending bottle. It ultimately wasn't my taste; I am not a great appreciator of gourmands, though I do seem to get up to wearing a lot of sweet, vanillic florals despite this --

Today I am testing a sample of the newest formulation. Sadness! Whatever was green and herbal about the older formulation has been completely scrubbed away, diminishing its specialness almost completely. No ivy, no iris, no soft cherry with the stems included. RIP violet. What's left smells like a white patchouli cola or an earthy Dr. Pepper plus major overlap with the scent profile of La Vie Est Belle. Its subtle high notes removed, I find Lolita Lempicka completely linear and lacking whatever quality that kept it from seeming before like a vulgar joke. At the core of this current formulation is a falsely profound black cherry syrup. I now understand the comparisons to La Petite Robe Noire. Whoever was in charge of the reform, their hands were probably tied, but I'm just hear to mourn what this used to be.

[Cross-posted on the reformulated LL edp page.]

Lovaloo

I have a sample, and it's one of the best gourmands I've tested.

It smells like you're in an old-fashioned, gourmet candy store. Licorice, anise, violet candies, sour fruit gummies, with vanilla and chocolate powder touches. Edible, but not as sugary as most gourmands, more subdued. A masterwork from Annick Menardo. I prefer it to Guerlain's LPRN.

I don't think I would have worn a perfume like this, I don't fit the "Lolita" image, but it's a shame to hear it's been discontinued. A quirky, distinctive, fun perfume that I will miss smelling.

Birdie123

Floral, airy, happy scent! I loved this in high school when it first came out, and I still love it now! Effortless, every day perfume!

Amethyst3

A stick of liquorice in a bottle ! Very distinctive smell which takes me back to the first time of smelling it . If you want that originality and sweetness , go for it!

yelrog

I first tried this back in 2010 and fell in love. I bought a bottle of it shortly after and it’s been only one of two scents I’ve finished a whole bottle of. Complex, unique, and unforgettable. The only downside is that this scent develops into a very powdery almost baby powder-esque fragrance with my skin chemistry. I don’t mind it at all, but I’ve had people say I smell like a baby after a few hours of wear. I’m on my third bottle of the OG formulation, and soon I’ll be on my fourth bottle.

bellsprout

this is the first perfume i ever bought - it was a christmas present for my mom: i was still in grade school, probably 8 or 9 years old. I used all my birthday money to buy it, and my god, am i still happy i did. This fragrance is so memorable and magical. Cold and green, but spicy, and mouthwatering though not particularly sweet. The anise, the licorice, the ivy... it's unisex to me, it just makes you smell like you're barely human, from another planet, or maybe just from the 90s/early 2000s, a veritable time traveler. my mom's bf gifted her a new bottle a few years ago, and wow, the disappointment... only a shadow of what it used to be, sadly.

km1266

I managed to get the original, after I ordered a sample of the Mon Premier version. This version is more liquorice forward, more earthy, but there's still that sweet fruity cherry note that I love. I hate liquorice but it's balanced out by the other notes. It actually adds something special. It smells like almond, cherry cola with a powdery drydown.

This has a dreamy, magical fantasy vibe. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland and Tim Burton films. I haven't smelt anything like it. I do love Mon Premier too, but it can be sickingly sweet and girlish, the original LL has a depth to it that Mon Premier lacks. I can see why people are upset about the original being discontinued and I'm glad I managed to snag a bottle.

Colett

One of the very first perfume what I bought for myself 26 years ago. And still love it !
It’s long lasting and sweet
If you love vanilla, this is your scent

bakura

Whimsical, beautiful, complex scent. More of a faerie fragrance than an elven fragrance. The black licorice note is prominent, which is what I love about it. I would wear this to the Renaissance Faire.

lenomducauchemar

THIS IS SHARPER THAN WHAT THE COMMENTS MAKE IT LOOK LIKE!! old pacific batch is very crispy while not neccesarily compromising on the sweetness unlike the newer "mon premier" or "original" one for sure. unisex usage because no sex owns sweetness

SwampHag

The history of this fragrance is so full of twists and reformulations and the power of scent-induced nostalgia that it’s almost useless to write a review.

This review is specifically for the eau de parfum, contemporary formula, bottled in the container NOT apple-shaped.

I adore this fragrance. I never smelled the OG late 90s formulation, so I cannot compare it to this, but what I have stands on its own as a classic. To my nose, it is very cherry and licorice forward. Not medicinal cherry, but fresh, sunny cherry. It dries down woody and lovely, darker and moodier than the opening notes.

It’s not like anything else in my collection, and that’s why I love, no matter the formulation.

lasciviouspaine

smells like straight up cough syrup /=

frag_nostalgia

Wearing tonight. This will forever be a favorite -- my first "abstract" fra that got me so far down the rabbit hole that I'm now a full-on fraghead!

Lolita Lempicka -- a deep black liquorice cherry cola scent, with a snap of green, and powdery violet. My bottle is a few years old, and this formula has a tendency to separate and get cloudy; but the fragrance, it always stays the same. I like it more than I do the line of LPRN x Guerlain, which is more of a soapy cherry with a bright freshness to it. If LPRN is the light, Lolita is the darkness. Complex and alluring; as the liquorice, violet, and tonka notes keep it from getting too sweet. But I must confess in the end they are indeed quite similar. ☯️

Tis the season for LL!

SaraSmellsGood

I really wish this wasn’t discontinued:(

Liisa7

Sadly, this reminds me of my grandma’s bathroom smell so I really couldn’t wear this on myself. It’s definitely not a bad smell, it’s relaxing and nostalgic, it’s just not something I’d ever want people associating with me.

dollheart

Somehow smelled like soap. No violets, no licorice, nothing sweet or provocative, just soap.

wish.1

20 years ago I used this perfume when I was in love with the music of The Cure and Depeche Mode. I love them nowadays as well like the Lolita perfume (it’s got a great dupe: Yodeyma-il)

eveliina

You people do realize that your reviews belong to a different page entirely, right? This goes for the majority of reviews from recent years. This particular page is for the old formulation from the nineties. Just hoping to clear some of the confusion here. So the reviews and graphs are a bit skewed, but carry on.

Rober7a

Opening is VERY sweet licorice candy, but it doesn't irritate my nose. Soon it dries down to a less sickly, more powdery scent that's still dominant in licorice. It's really nice, I don't really like the taste of licorice but always liked the smell of it, in this it's cozy and inviting. The scent and the bottle gives me Halloween vibes, but fun playful ones 🎃🍬 like trick and treating dressed up as a teenage witch haha.🧚🏼🧹

Irina_Spalko

My "cool" college roommate had this, and I will always associate it with her. Sweet flowers and fruit on top, with a bitter wooden base. Unfortunately my chemistry turns it into an acrid black pepper that swallows all the sweetness. I sold my original apple bottle to a resale shop after giving up on it.

Rosiewebber

I held off trying this for so long, put off by the idea of the liquorice and star anise. I thought I’d hate it.
How wrong I was! For me this opens as powdery cherry-violet candy, really sweet but not sickly. As it dries down, the earthier notes come forward, the vetiver and ivy, supported by a hint of the liquorice and star anise, vanilla and tonka.
Stunning.

firebrand99

I just recently purchased a 1.7 mL bottle of this lovely fragrance. It was an under $30 find at an antique store and I was drawn to the beautiful bottle.(the original apple bottle), and it’s an edp.
It starts out really sweet but then it dries down to an earthy scent at the end where I can really detect the vetiver Tonka bean and vanilla notes.
You have to give it a little time to develop into this beautiful scent. It’s a stunner. When I was a little bit younger, I would never have considered buying a perfume called “Lolita Lempcka”, but thirty odd years went by and I came across this gem. It’s really difficult to find the original Apple bottle with perfume most people just want to sell you the empty bottle I guess I got really lucky finding this 50 mills almost full and I’m very happy with my purchase.

cellardoor19

I bought this perfume inspired by the stunning bottle, one of the most beautiful ever created, in my opinion. The smell is powdery, sweet, a different kind of gourmand. I wanted to love this so bad that I gave it many chances. I found a bottle of the old version, with a powerful sillage and incredible longevity. Unluckily, I have to say that it just wasn't the right perfume for me. I still liked it very much, but something just turned me off after a while, maybe it's the extreme sweetness that overwhelms me. I was hoping for something more green, with that ivy and musk, balancing out the sweetness; something out of a magical forest, but all I got from it was a candy fairy vibe. I wanted to keep the bottle for the sake of its beauty, but then I decided to resell it as there was someone out there who could give this fragrance the life it deserves.

Nourhanamer

someone got me this perfume when i was a kid. it reminds me of school. love it and i will but it again soon.

The13thHour

Lolita Lempicka will forever be a love of mine. I was introduced to this fragrance from Ksenja on YouTube. This was my favorite blind buy and I knew I was going to love it because of that star anise note. This is magical!

ievaid

lolita lempicka is the platonic ideal of a whimsigoth fragrance. when i spray it on it's all salty liquorice and cherry for a couple of minutes, then the liquorice recedes and lets a dry, rustling ivy leaf note come to the forefront. in the house i grew up in there was a garden wall covered with ivy; it reminds me of playing beneath those leaves - until the star anise, tonka and vetiver eventually overtake it, now conjuring the atmosphere of a witchy shop. the cherry note lingers as the scent develops, syrupy but unsweet.

the fragrance as a whole is bittersweet at most, but mainly powdery and spiced. i can see how the powderiness, which reminds me a little of vintage velvet, might be a dealbreaker for some. even for myself (known powdery fragrance enjoyer) it's not necessarily an everyday scent, but i'm certainly charmed by it.

lolita lempicka makes me want to watch the craft and go on a walk through the woods in autumn and maybe step off into the world of faerie. the toffee-like praline that finally appears when the fragrance is warmed by breath or sweat is almost like a candy lure to draw you into an enchanted woodland, where you will be irretrievably lost. the liquorice and spice keep it edgy; a fae creation with sharp teeth.

alice_w

It smells quite special and deep, even dark, but it's not difficult to wear. I like the slightly mysterious vibe it brings. I think the bottle is lovely and artistic, but it's a bit inconvenient without a cap.

sunrisefox_

I think this is actually a very complex scent and it gives me mixed emotions for sure. Once you get past the initial overpowered licorice blast, which I HATE, it develops into a heavenly soft spicy and floral cherry. Then it becomes addictive. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist. This is very nostalgic and smells like the 90’s but that’s part of its charm. Don’t let the first spray overwhelm you— give it a bit of time to evolve into the beautiful dreamlike scent it really is.

doeyes

smells totally cheap to me.. i was super excited to recieve my lolita lempicka, because of all the reviews and comparisons id seen, i was convinced this was gonna be my new favourite perfume.
i was so heavily dissapointed- i sprayed it both on a tester paper and on my skin, and neither impressed me. on my skin, i could definitely smell the more complex bottom notes, which take away the cheapness, though the licorice and cherry really stick out to me as well as a few of the florals. if you were born in the mid to late 2000s you might have smelled those disney princess kids body washes, and this totally reminds me of them. to me, it’s a very childish, nostalgic scent- in particular, it strongly reminds me of my cousins bathroom in the early 2010s, with lots of disney princess toys and little girls body washes and shampoos.. while i love the nostalgia factor (it really really brings me back to my early childhood) i dont see myself ever wearing this. im still gonna test it out for a week to see peoples reactions, but overall it’s way too childish for me. not even childish, more of a toddler, if i’m being honest. i can see it smelling great on other people, but it’s definitely not for me.

stellavale

I have a ~2015 Pacific Creations bottle I found at an estate sale in the box! It’s been on my radar for a while because the bottle is SO CUTE and I mostly wanted the bottle. I wasn’t sure what to expect about the scent. It’s softer and less sweet than I think I was expecting. I wouldn’t have bought this solely for the scent, but I’ve been wearing it for a week to get the full experience.

I definitely get the violet and ivy. It is more powdery than the fragrances popular currently so I wouldn’t consider this a safe blind buy (unless you’re me and want the bottle lol). It says here people also like alien, hypnotic poison, and angel. It won’t bowl you over like those, but it really does last a long time. I don’t love the musky base notes as it does remind me a little of a certain bug spray. I’ve played around layering it with something sweeter.

It’s July currently, so maybe it would work best with sweaters and cold air.

I’m curious what the other incarnations of LL smell like, but they can get a bit pricey online.

OTA Mom

Anise in honey. It does not evoke ivy or a forest to me, and seems a complete disconnect from its cute apple bottle.

Supertastie

What a shame the perfume is not as enjoyable as the bottle. Smells like personal bug spray, tropical stregth.

creamyandlight

A very sharp, surprisingly powdery floral on initial spray. Powderiness dies down fast though. Headache-inducing, to me.

FlowerSeeker

I tried this a few days ago. For two hours all I could smell was vinegar and baby powder. The vinegar smell was irritating. The next day there was a soft powder smell that was nice but not great. Didn’t work on my skin.

blushings

Cherry liquor, soap and ivy. Laundry off-gassing from city apartments. Lavender grey, rain on the sidewalk, and an indoor recess remembered from childhood. Art class paints, plum black sink water. Drying soft hands on those brown paper towels. The way chalk imitates sweetness—candy hearts in little cardboard boxes.

Moonbby

It’s a very nice and unique blend of spicy, sweet and floral. The opening is brighter spicy sweet, while the dry down is floral spicy without the brightness. It does maintain its sweetness in the fry down but it’s not as bright as initial spray. I don’t have any perfumes quite like this one and it’s not a daily pick for me. But it’s super pleasant when I’m in the mood for it. I don’t find it to be too youthful or mature and could see any age group enjoying this. If you like sweet and want to explore spicy this would be a very good first pick!

fleurtje0

I got this as a tester, I found the opening very nice but as it dried down it has gotten really earthy on me for some reason. I love the idea and opening of this perfume but it just doesn't smell right on me.

gzbnyz

A bit too spicy for my taste

blkleather_redlace

My mini bottle seems to be from 1998. Its box lists Parfums Lolita Lempicka and the short list of ingredients before some of the allergens had to be disclosed. I have fond memories of browsing the perfume shelves at Ulta as a child in late 90s when this magical bottle was always on display there. That was back when Ulta had three very long shelves at the front of the store with a much larger fragrance selection than they dedicate floor space to now. I miss the pace of things then... But anyway, this perfume reminds me of the LPRN flanker Ma Robe Velours. I've never smelled the original LPRN, so I can't comment on that comparison. They're certainly not the same, but both have an almond-cherry-violet-iris thing going on which is very sweet and youthful. The cherry is pronounced on me in LL, but I think it's that cherry-almond aldehyde that is used both in almond extract and maraschino cherry. The cherry in Velours is brighter and more medicinal. Sometimes it's sort of phenolic and sometimes it's almost bubblegummy, I think because of the citrus top notes in that one. The cherry in LL is not as brash (although my bottle is quite old) and it's comfortably wrapped in the licorice-anise, tonka and iris backbone. Very smooth. I can't detect any ivy notes and as far as I know amaryllis has no scent. I'm not sure if I get the woodland fairy princess theme of this perfume, because I would expect a fairy to smell like moss, but that's a personal association. In any case this is good stuff and anyone who likes LPRN but found it too reminiscent of cough syrup would probably enjoy this.

Vanillastorm40

Oh how I love this one. I broke my bottle a while back...dropped it and the stem of the apple part where the sprayer is snapped off. So it's a PITA to use being that I can no longer spray it. It's crazy what I have to do to get the liquid out of this when I want to wear it. But it's worth it. It's so good. This is a hell of a lot better than all of these "skin scent", molecule, ambroxan, oud, saffron, leather bombs, etc. type of fragrances that keep getting cranked out. And you can get a large size for well under $60 USD. I can't compare this to anything I've ever smelled. Definitely doesn't smell even remotely like Le Petit Robe Noire (which I have and love also) or LPRN Intense (same-have it, love it). If I had to pick anything, I'd say this is along the lines of Diesel Loverdose and/or Good Fortune (the 2 of them, DL and GF, smell exactly the same to me). There are so many frags on my want list but after wearing this again today for the 1st time in a couple of years, I think I need to obtain a usable bottle of this.

AgenticaBond007

Licorice heaven. Cold and crispy perfume. Misty and misterios, like walking in woods or swamp. Commercial for this perfume was spot on in the day. Loving this since highschool.

luanneog

Sweet, fruity and powdery. Kind of medicine like. Soft florals. Youthful, I could pick up the cherry note, maybe even the anise or licorice. Unique and magical. I surprisingly never smelt it before and I found myself really liking it.

Manjusaka

JKittrell

This is for girls who are always in goblin mode

Picture a goth Winx Club OC stealing a cherry pie that's cooling on a window sill in a Thomas Kinkade painting and then surrying (on all fours) back to her cave. She can unhinge her jaw like a snake and eats every meal like Saturn Devouring His Son. The Thomas Kinkade villagers fear this creature. And you know the main antagonist of the 1984 board game Candyland? Yeah, Lord Licorice. Well she's dating him buddy.

I imagine Grimes puts this on instead of taking a bath

It's great

springside

I have a 2016 batch of this and it starts with a sugary sweet cherry with something that smells a bit like crisp celery to me. I keep calling it my "celery but for girls" perfume, and I've realized that it's probably a combination of anise and licorice because it dries down into a more recognizably licorice scent, but that's just not as fun. The licorice is laden with musk and tonka, and I think it's pleasing. I find myself sniffing my wrist or trying to catch a whiff of it on my collar when I wear it. It's definitely linear, but that's not a bad thing. It's sensual, youthful, and energetic and I think it's good for just about any occasion. The only downside is it just does not last very long on my skin!

This is one of the few "women's" perfumes that I enjoy wearing as a man. although I don't think it is a simple fragrance, I still wear it comfortably in everyday life.

Acrelune

This is for Licorice lovers, it is the center of this perfume and all the other notes are only there to nuance it. If you do not like licorice, steer away from this one.
It is both mature and youthful, both gentle and provocative, and does smell like a much less sweet, less cherry-ish La Petite Robe Noire.

It is not a very complex perfume nor is it mesmerising, but it has that little something that just makes you like it.

I purchased a sample of the OG Lolita Lempicka on ebay because of all the hype in the fragrance world. I too wanted to smell like an enchanted fairy, but that's not really what I got from it. It's definitely a unique scent that I feel like people would either love or hate. I don't think it's a super safe blind buy so I'm thankful I purchased a sample first. This is the first perfume I tried with a cherry note. I didn't think I would like cherry notes, and I was correct. It reminds me a bit of cherry cough syrup. It's very sweet and has this powderiness to it which I like, but I have to agree with another review. It does smell like baby oil a bit. But like cherry scented baby oil. I would give it maybe a 5/10. It's not awful, but it's not something I would enjoy wearing.

DolceX_X

Ah, Lolita, my love! If you look at the notes for this perfume and you think "oh my god this sounds perfect" you are right, it's amazing! If you like the sound of anise and violet candy, cherry licorice, musky iris dusted orris, deep tonka vanilla infused praline, I would dare to say this is even a safe blind buy. I got just the travel sized bottle and I'm for sure buying the biggest bottle I can after I finish it. And the longevity of this juice? Holy sh*t, if you end up not liking this perfume and you spray it on your clothes...I feel bad for you, because now you have to throw out those clothes, that scent ain't coming out lol! This scent is a classic and staple in many peoples collections, and it's for a good reason xoxoxo

dinkleheit

This perfume is undoubtedly one of my all-time favorites. Its scent evokes memories of fall, reminiscent of a spiced dessert, but without an overpowering sweetness. Although it is sweet, it has an edginess that gives it character and personality.

Daviolla

It's very similar to Angel but probably sweeter, a bit stronger and more long-lasting. To me, Angel is a bit fresher and just a slightly more perfect and chocolatey formulation. I still think you will love it if you love Angel or are looking for an Angel alternative.

mrperq

Made by the same people who made hypnotic poison, and you can tell. While it shares a few notes, its quite different, but if you like one I can imagine you'll like the other. Its more youthfull and less heavy. This makes it more versatile. Might be a bit harder to pull off for more mature woman, but honestly I'd love to smell this on my wife.

olitunia

This is not a safe blind buy... I love having it but it sits on me all day and I’m very aware of it so I stopped wearing it. Licorice and star anise are very noticeable right away. It is weird initially but sets into a very sweet/salty smell (tonka, vanilla vs. the licorice). Violet is prominent. This is a pretty fragrance but I think you have to be quite adventurous to pull it off.

NoirCottoncandyclouds

If this scent and red door causes a serious migraine accompanied by nausea for you.. stay away from any fragrance that has “STAR ANISE” or “ANISE” in it. Thankfully I figured this out sooner than later.
The notes in this perfume are right up my alley, and my boyfriends mother bought me this on Christmas 2013, and I sprayed it and wanted to cry the whole remainder of opening presents, while I plastered a smile on my face the entire time (I am happy to report I am no longer a frightened people pleaser- phew!) I laugh now looking back, because insult to injury, my boyfriend loved the scent and kept respraying it on me and every corner of the room. I shoved this perfume in my carry on and couldn’t wait to hand this over to my mom who is an absolute lover of Red Door. Surprise, surprise! She couldn’t get ENOUGH of this. I will always be charmed his mother thought of me with such spot on notes. Unfortunately Star anise can be an absolute ruthless visit from below.

saho93

I really wanted to like this. There’s a bit of bitterness that makes it feel slightly harsh for my olfactory senses. I wanted something that is like vintage Dior poison, though I guess it is not a fair comparison

I wanted a more well-rounded softer blend, but there is this harsh herbal note to my nose. Just not my preference.

I like the bottle design though. Quite pretty.

AquaJima

Star Anis and licorice is everything my nose is able to detect. I asked my dad and he picked up the violet, iris and cherry (wish I had!). This, on my skin, is a liquor store. After 2 hours I get a nice bourbon like vanilla and the white musk. I won’t purchase since it doesn’t work on me, I am just sad I am unable to smell the “magic” so many people get from this.

MatchaCat

Having heard so much about this perfume, I became curious and decided to order a sample. What I basically get from this is green apple flavored hard candies with dusty purple florals and a slight anise or licorice note in the background. This perfume has that synthetic sweetness that feels airy and projects a lot. I can see why it was so popular back in the day. It must have been very unique at the time it first came out. However, with all the new perfumes out now, there are just so many better ones out there that are even more unique.

In regards to licorice perfumes, I prefer Diesel Loverdose to this. It feels more lush and sensual with deep dark berries and that slight licorice note.

Smell: 7 out of 10
Longevity: 7 out of 10

For reference, I'm female.

Sophia97

WOW was the first words after I smelled the top and ever since that it has become my favorite fragrance.

Nocciola23

Growing up, this was a firm fixture in the department stores and I always sprayed it as a tester because, as a child/pre-teen I was enchanted by the bottle. I always found the scent to be too strong though.
From reading through these reviews I can see I was not the only one affected by the marketing and the bottle. It evokes images of fairytales, princesses and forbidden fruit.
Trying it again now, 20 years later (yes, the formula has probably changed), I find it to be very heavy on the vanilla and praline which gives it a syrupy, thick sweetness. I can pick up on the licorice as well, which is beautiful. I think its' underrated in perfumes. It reminds me of Lancome's Hypnose.

Unfortunately I don't pick up on the cherry or anise which I was hoping to, but maybe I should try it in colder weather.

LiliiiS

Lolita Lempicka doesn't feel like a perfume made in 1997.it feels like a modern one. it's not a very well known perfume in my country which makes it more special for me. it opens somehow medicinal with lots of cherry and licorice but after a while the cherry note calms down a bit and violet and tonka show up. it has a slight gourmand vibe without being foody or really sweet. it's like a mysterious, magical gourmand with some woody, some nutty and lots of powdery undertones. I totally get what others say about that LL reminds them of a fairy in woods at night. Lolita Lempicka can be the purple mist coming out of a fairy's magic wand.
this is not a girly scent IMHO. it's totally ageless. I'm don't think I can say I love it, but I like it for sure. I also get why people compare it to Guerlain La petit Robe Noir(another perfume which I have and like, but not love). I can see some similarities too but at the same time, they're very different. the cherry note is more intense in LPRN and it's more a fruitchouli while LL is more powdery. my LL is made in 2013(it's scent has not changed even a bit in ten years) and it has moderate longevity and sillage on me.
bTW I also have LL L'eau de Minuit 2013 flanker of it which has a lot in common with LL but I prefer the L'eau de Minuit one a bit more because it has less cherry, is slightly less powdery but has more vanilla and tonka and feels warmer and more well rounded

gourmand_girlie

There is something bitter and medicinal about this. I figured with it being such a cult favorite, and being around so long, that this would be a really beautiful fragrance - but I was let down by it.

I mostly smell a combo of:
- a hint of cherry (the medicinal kind) + a strong dose of star anise
- ivy + powdery orris root + vetiver

Definitely greener and more earthy than I anticipated, and not my cup of tea.

Pixied0ll

I love and also kind of dislike this fragrance. It smells enchanting but sometimes I can get really nauseated by its sweetness.

M1tsouko

I don't know who needs to hear this but this is the best perfume you will come across ever. Some may describe it as walking into an enchanted forest or a garden where geranium and roses grow like vines upon vines as they wrap themselves into perfect flower arches above you, almost intertwined with themselves in a pathway, as you walk through this very pathway to an ailing, blossomed tree where your friends are sharing a homemade cherry pie. The smell of the still-warm cherry pie mixed with the heavy florals, and rotting wood where you lie in the midst of this wonderland makes it why it's so beautiful. Not to mention, this isn't a heavy scent if you wear it right meaning it's essentially for all seasons. Spray it twice on the left and right side of your neck and wrists, then you'll be good until you decide to re-apply in the next few hours once it becomes one with your skin chemistry.

fernlover

my mom weared it since i was 6 so i remember this perfume perfectly. its a really feminine, soft and interesting perfume. cant say i could've smell cherry as many people say it, maybe only after 3-4 hours on the skin, but not immediately after spraying. 8/10 because this perfume is sort of unique, but nothing special.

Frenchghost

So I hunted down a fb 3.4 Oz original bottle w/original gold stem at the top&I normally do not have$ to do this but I loved this in the past&even tho I have bill$,I just had to prove if I was wrong or right with the new bottle they sell now&I don't care if the company themselves told me,nothing has changed&they only changed the bottle, that is not true, because I have the new formula &old now, this is far richer original bottle&the actual scent&I'm so glad I got this on ebay, I could barley click buy,so pricey&so worth it! The new bottle formula smells like a body bodymist in comparison &smells to much like plastic&original smells like a high quality with notes&believe it or not they smell like completely different perfumes! The new bottle is a joke,I'm glad I just got this&I will try to make it last use sparingly, beautiful for a licorice floral sweetness, not to sweet rich&smooth, also cherry lil iris,8hrs on skin&days on clothes&new version lasts only 3hrs&is a bodymist side by side. If anyone knows how crappy the body bodymist version of the real perfume,or a knock off done wrong well that's the difference!♡ original is beautiful, wish companies didn't do this, but is what it definitely 👉 is☆

ingrid.superstar

I first smelled this when I was just getting into fragrance for the first time, and to my untrained nose, it was ultimately pleasant but nothing more than an opaque yet powdery cherry. I gave my new bottle away. Fast-forward five years -- my friend gave me the bottle back, serendipitously, just as I am getting really into iris, and finally I understand that the heart of this fragrance is really about a complex, waxy, rubbery, slightly soapy, cherry-like iris! A happy find as I am also looking for a substitute for the now-discontinued Lipstick On. Lolita Lempicka definitely belongs in the discussion about fragrances that smell like lipstick and other cosmetics from the huge iris to the vanillic-violet-cherry powder dusting that it becomes. This is like a Tim Burton floral -- something slightly spooky and forlorn, but with big eyes and wearing petticoats. Also has cherry snowcone vibes, complete with the chemical chill of refrigeration. Very cool!

femaleboyfriend

got this as a gift a long time ago. it's not my thing, too girly for me, but it's a gorgeous and addictive scent. i smell this on a woman and i want to pour powdered sugar on her through a sift. you will probably get a lot of compliments from this one

Stephaniex44

My mom used to own this about 15 years ago when I was a child. I remember her smelling like this and I'd go to her stuff and spray myself with this too haha. It is unique but not in a bad way. I definitely remember it smelling sweet, powdery and woody, with a fruity hint, but we'll blended (vanilla and musk, also the vetiver)

Greentea4me

I am still in love with the late ‘90s version of Lolita Lempicka by Pacific Creations. I still have a backup but have seen the prices going up and up if you can even find them. I have not tried any of the new versions due to being unable to test them anywhere local and the many many negative reviews of them. I did however try a dupe version recently by Bluewater Fragrances on Etsy and it’s amazingly close to the original. I was amazed and fell in love with this fragrance all over again! The staying power is amazing and at a fraction of the cost that both old and new versions are going for.

LOST_HORIZON

Lolita Lempicka is the perfume of the elves of the Nordic forests, those humid and shady forests that are full of streams and trees full of ivy... That liquorice, that cherry, that star anise and that vanilla are the perfumed dream of the gluttonous gnomes This purple apple has uncontrollable magic. I have no words to express the enchantment that wearing this perfume causes me one winter afternoon walking in the grove. Eternally in love...they don't do that anymore

meganlamode

I've only recently taken a deep dive into the fragrance world, but even years ago as someone with only a slight interest in perfume, I somehow heard about Lolita Lempicka and was intrigued by the designer's name and the pretty purple bottle. I finally just acquired a sample, and I can say that my fantasy of the fragrance has led me to become disappointed by the scent. I can smell a vague greenness in the opening, but can't distinguish it as violet and ivy. The dry down reveals some slight powderiness and sweetness, but I can't distinguish iris and orris or vanilla and praline, respectively. Licorice dominates for the entire wear of this fragrance, and is even strong enough to be menthol-like, as it produces a cooling feeling within my nose. I've read that LL might have been reformulated since its release, so maybe it's just a new formula that has become a licorice bomb, or maybe I'm super sensitive to the licorice, but I'm disappointed that I have trouble smelling the violet and the iris. I want that greenness and powderiness!

Pat_Chouli

With LL it seems people either love it or rather dislike it, and it has both effects on me on different days, strangely enough. Today is luckily an "i love it" day -- how remarkably soft, powdery, ethereal, sweetly effervescent it is. I picture a dark enchanted forest, silent and still, a feeling of foreboding. The dawn sun has not yet peered over the horizon. A patch of purple wildflowers grows along the forest floor, frosted with ice cold dew.

adamkovaluca

Definitely original composition, the bottle design is a bit annoying as it has no cap and it is not the most comfortable to spray. I would describe it as a strong fragrance with a lot of licorice, some green note and vanilla base.

Based on the recent reviews it seems something in the formulation must have changed in the recent years. The bottle I have is maybe even embarrassingly old-6 years or so. I loved the scent at first, but the longer I had the bottle it seems that the licorice and anise notes got more pronounced to the point of giving me migraines even when I use small amount, also I realized that the licorice and anise are the notes in this that I like the least- I liked cherry, vanilla and almond as well as the dry vetiver note and powdery iris. If it was not for this fragrance I probably would not realize that I tend to like oriental vanilla based and also gourmand fragrances.

Gyps

Not impressed with this. Stuck with an overpriced 50ml bottle that basically has no smell. Not on my skin anyway.

Edit: so 15 months later I’ve tried again and it’s so much better after having sat for that long. It’s summer too so very warm, and I can smell it clearly. It smells lovely and I can really notice the licorice (not as strong as La Petite Robe Noir though). Lovely to wear out on a warm night I think. Not something I would wear every day, more of an occasion scent for me.

mhubbard1961

I love it so much I only wear infrequently, for fear of getting bored with it. Hundreds of perfumes later, LL is still one of my top 10 since I discovered it. Smells like mystery and magic. Sort of a gourmand that is not quite like a dessert. Not a safe blind buy, a love or not at all type scent.

xabaras

As you put it on all you can smell is an alchoolic synthetic creaminess. It only lasts a minute or two, then you can smell the cherry, sweet and juicy, mixed with the licorice, which then becomes the permanent note in this fragrance. I like it. It is definitely unusual. From its launch no other fragrance has manged to compete with this one.
Once it has settled on your skin, you have a note of licorice which is mellowed by the vanilla note. Quite feminine, but also for a strong character. Definitely not a girlie fragrance. This is for a charming and resolute woman who knows what she wants and how to make it happen. Apply in Winter.

Unruly Julie

I really like the fragrance itself, it's warm and deep and not too sweet. Unfortunately, it only lasted a few hours on me. Glad that I only have a decant.

Bel.Odile

Strong Dislike. Actually nauseating.
Smells like watery grape Kool-Aid and stale black licorices.
Lasts for maybe 30 minutes and is gone.
Arm's-length sillage.
Smells quite synthetic and cheap. I could see a 10 year-old girl wearing this.

supersaiyan

Yes, it opens very similar to La Petite Robe Noire. While LPRN is very linear cherry throughout, LL changes into a smoothie of cherry, violets, and licorice. I can see how this was once a magical and whimsical creation, but the notes of woods and ivy are completely lost in the new formulations. I tried layering with Encre Noir to amp up the woods but it ended up smelling like a swimming pool. On its own, it smells youthful and fruity and later on, shampooey.

lovelore

this was the first perfume i ever bought for myself and it was a blind buy. it was the beginning of quarantine in 2020 and i was trying to find an affordable yet unique scent and in my search on internet, this perfume kept coming up. it sounded magical and pretty so i bought the 100ml and wore it a few times throughout the rest of 2020 and then in the beginning of 2021 i moved on to other fragrances. when i'd try to revisit this scent, the scent memory of 2020 was so strong i never wanted to wear it (who wants to be reminded of 2020 lol). but from late 2021 to now, i've come to truly appreciate what a beauty this scent is. i have the new bottle and 2020 reformulation, but based on other reviews it sounds like it is pretty much the same scent but lighter and weaker. it's sweet and spicy, yet a bit cold. licorice, violet, anise, and cherry are the most prominent notes. it's a fairly linear scent after the initial opening, which is a blast of anise and ivy. whimsical, fairy-like, and enchanting. its prominent violet accord kicked off my love for violet and i love layering it with other violet fragrances. i would say it's not blind buy safe unless you know for sure that you like licorice and violet scents. on me, it's a lighter scent but has fairly good longevity, about 7 hours. i don't ever want to be without this scent in my collection. love love love.

miarose847

I really wish I liked this. It has cherry, liquorice and vanilla which I like. At first spray all I get is some weird smell. Maybe it's star anise, which I've never smelled before. This smelled like playdough to me, or silly string that you spray out of a can. And that's coming from somebody who loves cherry, vanilla, gourmand scents. I put this with Paris hilton Heiress which makes it a lot better, upbeat, pretty and sweet. I wouldn't buy it again but it'll stay in my collection for now. Glad I only got the 1oz bottle

Lindsconn

A very sweet, violet and anise heavy fragrance. It is very magical smelling. It reminds me of a fragrance a fairy would wear!

In my opinion you need to love these kind of sweet anise fragrances otherwise it gets cloying, fast due to the strong projection and heaviness. But if it’s your thing you will probably love it as it performs really well!

strangelight

Just picked up a 5ml mini of this. I like it way better than the new Mon Premier perfume, it's richer and lacks that cheap smelling cherry note that I dislike.
The new one feels a bit too juvenile for me (late 20s), but this one is sweet and fun while feeling less childish.

serenabeana

I got this perfume when I was 12 for Christmas back in 2013. I don't know if it was this version or the Le Premier, but all I remember is myself and others absolutely hating it to the point where my mom made me stop wearing it. (I only wore it because it was my first and only perfume and I felt cool). Imagine my surprise seeing how loved it is! I distinctly remember being at a sleepover and spraying it and it cleared the room!

To me, it definitely came through as star anise, musky, somehow soapy, and STRONG. It definitely smells expensive, but in the Chanel No. 5 rich grandmother who sneaks you Werther's Originals kind of way.

Roos88dutch

Gave it to my mom . It’s to girly for me . I can only smell cherry and something spicy

Nora805

At the instant of the sprits Its beautiful and in a second the licorice & star anise hit you in the back of the throat and stays there like a too strong gripped handshake. If it dialed down the star anise & licorice by half I would wear it more often.

amyaz

This is more of a "for me" fragrance. Its a cherry gourmand you can get away with on a hot day in my opinion. I get lots of the anise, cherry, licorice and vanilla. This is my second time sampling and I like it much more this time, I'm actually surprised at how well the cherry note pops out on this one, I don't remember it at all last time... actually tempted to get a full bottle this time.

Nurse_Ratchet_82

This smells like cold iris with spiced, sugared violets and plums to me. It's a beautiful scent but too cool for my tastes.

mothmoth18

The girls at the mall in the early 2000s who were both cool and original. On me it smells like cherry coke and violets, it’s soft, feminine, and warm. Can’t wait to purchase the full bottle <3

neonaya

Opens like Dr. Pepper or Cherry Cola but right after that soft creamy notes begin to appear. Bright fresh start turns into soft powdery violet scent with hint of cyanide cherry. I’d describe it as a day perfume for a good girl that wears ideally ironed white blouse with designers skirt and expensive shoes. Good girl from good family that has very dirty secrets of what she does at nights.

likesleet

i didnt like this surprisingly. the star anise / spices took over and every other scent that slipped through smelled generically and vaguely perfume-y

Laynie_Scents

I love this fragrance but wish it had better staying power!!

esterelmer

I feel so whimsical and mischievous wearing this. Like a little elf or leprechaun. It's soo dreamy and fantastical. You can really smell the cherries and licorice. This is something I would usually pick out but it's so addictive I can stop wearing it.

sunnyviolets

Anyone looking for something pretty much exactly the same as the old LL - try Elie Saab's Girl of Now. It's an exact match and has a good longevity and sillage. Only slightly more powdery and soapy, otherwise it's a total match for the previous LL everyone misses.

Tanya Elaine

The original Lolita Lempicka was my signature fragrance in my 20s. It was AMAZING. A heady blend of licorice, violet, vanilla, and anise. It was woodsy, enchanting, and SO incredibly sexy. The sillage was intense, and it lasted forever. The newer versions are just an empty shell of what once was a glorious love affair. Sigh. I still keep a bottle of the new version in my collection. While it is significantly more watered down, and heavier on the vanilla and powder components, it has enough of the Lolita DNA for the nostalgia.

bowsandbouquets

I love this perfume. As an elder millennial, it's very nostalgic for me because it was the absolute rage in the 2006-2008 era. I think it's a cost conscious alternative or scent to try for anyone who loves the more contemporary Ex Ioldo Love & Crime. To me it's a very warm gourmand, perfect for winter and fall, and summer nights or cool rainy days. I find it to be quite long lasting.

theshadowiscast

This perfume is super nostalgic for me (I'm 36). I used to go to the mall all the time with my mom and we picked this up in the early 2000's from a department store. I think we liked the bottle and that motivated our decision to buy it. I love this scent. Although it can be a little intense and dizzying, I love it and it will always remind me of my mom and being a teenager. The first time I smelled Mango Skin by Vilhelm I immediately thought of this scent. Maybe its the musk. So good.

amg7613

A powdery, violet that gives me a headache. I can detect hints of cherry, also. It’s not a juicy, fruity cherry - more of the sweet. It lasts and lasts, but do you really want it to? I don’t know what it is about it, but it’s just not it for me!

maziarzl

I really don't pick up on the Licorice which was the reason I purchased this fragrance. Nice and sweet at first but fades much too fast on me.

chimidoro

Cherry Bakewell. 🍒

The reform, original Le Premier Parfum is CLOSE but no cookie.
I haven't tried later versions than that, but I do hold out some hope for the latest Le Parfum. (Especially given that it doesn't contain endocrine disrupting ingredients. 👌)

This version, the original original, is definitely nicer and better than Le Premier Parfum, but that is an amazing reformulation and it is pretty darn CLOSE to this. There's not much in it, but it is enough to notice a difference, in fact I actually find the Midnight Couture version slightly closer to the original than Le Premier Parfum. Only Midnight Couture is less complex and not as lasting.

Le Premier is slightly greener and lacks the more intense anise that I get from this. I would imagine that layering Pacific Creation Le Premier Parfum with the Midnight Couture version could result in something closer to the original.
I'll try that.

Honestly, this original version is the only one in which I really do see what could be construed as "cherry". Some... some... but I do feel that it is more so implied and hinted at with the icing sugar and almond, the marzipan of the bakewell tart.

I'm obsessed with this scent. Genuinely.
I never tire if it. "Sweet" and "gourmand" are not my comfort zone or territory, but give me a Lempicka and I'm putty. It takes a certain, very particular kind of "sweet" and "gourmand" to float my boat.

Licorice, almond, iris, icing sugar, patch/moss. Love it. 🖤

blueflower1234

This was one of my go-to scent in high school but nowadays I find it too strong. Definitely only one spray for me! I have always thought this perfume smelled like the purple baby shampoo

SweetJhane

Too much for me in most every respect. Strong resemblance to the original Lutece, but I can’t say why because the licorice and star anise are not shared notes and are so often mentioned as why people who love LL love it. I have a friend whose signature scent has been LL for the 14 years I’ve known her, and sometimes in her presence I struggle not to hold it against her. The sillage, strength, and longevity are unfortunately for me really impressive. If she were a better friend she would give me one of her empty, beautiful bottles - the best part of this perfume for me.

foreignshores

This makes my wife smell so irresistibly delicious.

Moeytja

This scent is truly magical. Whimsical. Mysterious. Feminine, dreamy. Its epic i will say. And i am a tremendous niche snob. I said it.

yeesa_

I really get the cherry in this. fruity and smooth. its just alright though

sibaraa

I finally sampled this and liked it a lot, although im not a fan of licorice or star anise in perfumes, but this is truly well done. A very unique and sophisticated fragrance.

chimidoro

I absolutely cannot stand La Petite Robe Noir.
How and why does anybody make any comparison/connection between the original Lempicka (or the Le Premier Parfum) with THAT?
Pray tell, seriously (no, please don't). I know both scents and they're nothing alike by any stretch of the imagination. So what page are y'all on? (Don't answer this.) Can anybody provide anything other than nonsensical warped logic that leads you to that conclusion? (Rhetorical. Don't bother. You'd be wasting my time more than you probably feel I'm wasting yours...)

LoveBitch246

My signature in junior high/high school and I still love it. To me it smells like sexy, fruity, cotton candy. The bottle is gorgeous and the house went back to the vintage design, thank goodness! This scent can be pretty dense, on the verge of cloying if applied with too heavy a hand, 1-2 sprays is plenty. I had the original back in the late 90's and have not smelled the reformulation yet, but I just ordered a sample so... fingers-crossed that it's still awesome!

Update: So sad... Unsure if it's the change in formula or just my nose getting older, but the sample I got (from a reputable seller) has similar DNA, but it just isn't the same. She's a lot lighter, softer and more linear. Sigh.

MongooseCriminelle

Lolita Lempicka is extremely smooth and extremely linear, showing almost no change from top to base. The bulk of it is a fluffy, powdery vanilla-almond with wisps of licorice/vaguely anisic elements. The supposed cherry is questionable to me; not that I have trust issues, but I find myself searching until a cherry appears and then wondering if I somehow manifested it in my mind. There is also a unique form of soapiness that reminds me of bubble solution, and the iridescent flashes on the surface of a bubble. This seems to be an Annick Menardo thing, as I also pick this up in the opening of Hypnotic Poison. In fact, this could be considered a whimsical fairytale remix of Hypnotic Poison. They don't smell "the same" but they share many core elements.

Very pleasant but VERY simple. Licorice can be polarizing, but aside from that, there isn't really much here to solicit a strong reaction. Just an unassuming vanilla powder gourmand with a touch of florals for those who are interested.

rezzmail

Seeing as I went and bought nearly every Lempicka sample I could get my hands on, the house's title perfume is so boring to me. Which isn't really it's fault since cherry isn't much of a note I like and I tend to hate licorice, but past that I see the sort of "fantasy perfume" elements that are often brought up when introducing Lolita. It does feel like something a fairytale princess would wear, it's youthful, pretty and not something to overwhelm.

But that's where it leaves me, it's nothing I particularly enjoy. Pretty, but nothing I would want to own in a full size or even a rollerball.

Rondoflaca

I have a strage relationship with this Lolita. I love the smell, it feels like Barbie would smell like this. I can't stop sniffing this, BUT I would never wear it. I feel like it doesn't go well with my personality and style, and might be a bit outdated also. But I will always go back to her, sometimes I just spray my room and enjoy

Alice Greenfingers

I have the old pretty bottle, my little girl loves this bottle so much I always end up negotiating with her that this one stays with mum. I had it many, many year ago and loved it then and I love it now. It is super sweet though but also very magical. The silage is great, one on a playground I heard a little boy asking his adult what smells so nice and I was not even that close so again, another win!

realitygreene

Lolita Lempicka EDP is actually pretty lovely on my skin. It reminds me of the dark fruits and florals in Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire, especially the cherry note. But, I definitely prefer LPRN despite LPRN having one of my least favorite fragrance notes, almond. Lolita Lempicka is slightly fresher and lighter in intensity than LPRN. I sprayed it ten minutes ago on my wrists and already it's faded significantly. I'm really glad I got to try this fragrance because not only do I like to try as many perfumes as I can get my hands on, but because Lolita Lempicka really intrigues me as a fragrance house. However, I don't think this fragrance is all that great if you compare it to La Petite Robe Noire. I seriously can't help but compare them because they truly are so similar, but ultimately I love everything about LPRN much more than Lolita Lempicka EDP. From the house (Guerlain is GOAT), the bottle, the name, the longevity, etc. That being said, if I were gifted a bottle of this, I would probably keep it and use it up eventually. But, I'd rather buy La Petite Robe Noire. I will update this review if anything noteworthy happens in the dry down.

EDIT 3/28/22: This is my second wear of my sample and I officially don't like this. It smells like straight up cherry cough syrup. Yuck! I am so glad I have Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire EDP to satiate my sexy cherry/almond/vanilla desire.

shire_blossoms

Let me say this first- the original bottle with the gold leaves is absolutely gorgeous, I LOVE it. I ordered a sample of this in the mail after being being so in love with the precious bottle. I like cherry scents like Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears, so I thought I would give this a try as well. Unfortunately, the scent is not good on me at all. It smells like conversation hearts (which was interesting, maybe it's the sweet and powdery notes being reminiscent of the heart shaped chalk candies), a very light cherry, and *bleh* something terrible, like in repulsive way. I'm not an expert but I'm going to guess it's either the licorice or the star anise that makes it so bad to me. It turns medicinal and bizarre. I can say though that this is a unique scent for sure, and I understand why other people might like it for it's unique qualities, but if you don't like licorice (because I'm pretty sure it's the licorice) I really don't recommend it...the original bottle is still so beautiful though! BTW I'm not sure what formulation I received other than it being a little vial of Lolita Lempicka EDP.

Instead of Cinderella loosing her glass slipper~she lost her glass apple~beautiful bottle with original gold stem&gold leaves, vines light purple transparent glass..bottle it used to sell&come in beautiful~someone on youtube many years ago brung me to this&i blind bought, loved so much over years i bought 15 no lie, loved this...than last year i bought 2 fb of this in the new style bottles&shocked me...its a whisper~of what it used to smell like...im not saying because they changed the bottle it smells different,im saying it actually does not smell like it at all anymore!!! Im experienced with this perfume back 10years of wearing&buying&the scent is a whisper&dust of what it was~however how i do remember this is smooth, sweet, naturally richly smooth, sweet, unique&beautiful, anise licorice in a natural way smooth~mysterious&so pretty yet fresh&sweet, lasts on clothing days&skin maybe 6hours~few years ago they changed the bottle...no problem i thought, yet when i sprayed&used this 2021 new bottles...its a shadow a dust of what this used to be~i know this scent i think im being honest...ill go on ebay i guess~

meetee

It's strong, mysterious and sexy. I love smelling it on others but it's too spicy, synthetic and tonka-beany smelling for me to wear.

tashwakefield

I sit in my front garden today, it's early Autumn. The first figs are ripening and the last apples are falling from their respective trees. There is a scent of flowers and fresh sweetness in the air and it is beautifully complimented by Lolita. Lolita was worth the wait and worth my seeking her out in her original form. There is nothing so sweet as Lolita, not even the early Autumn air, gilded with sunshine; but they go hand in hand like a pair of elven lovers.

looraw

Too sickly sweet for my taste - but I get the whimsical vibes. Very turn of the millennium whimsy. The smell of doll head, licorice and dress up fairy wings from childhood.

Mandie2786

A nostalgic fragrance. I was obsessed with this fragrance as a child. As an adult I can’t seem to wear it. The bottle is beautiful and dreamy. It’s a very sweet fragrance, I definitely smell the anise with hints of florals. Overall it’s a fun sweet fragrance that lingers throughout the day. I may or may not repurchase… I would say Angel was it’s twin; not identical but related. Both fragrances have similar notes this one is more floral.

hotrodangel

It's hard to review this one without comparing it to the other iconic, polarising powerhouse of the '90s, Angel. The two aren't even particularly similar, except that people seem to feel strongly one way or the other about both. I will say that LL is the softer, warmer of the two - more herbal and powdery, without Angel's strange iciness. As a guy I rarely go for fragrances that are marketed as feminine, but I maintain that most sweet feminines double as masculines for guys who aren't afraid to get a little slutty with it. In conclusion I love Lolita Lempicka

Heaven In A Bottle

My simple honest short but sweet feedback on Lolita Lempicka.

First sprays smell like hairspray!
Almost 5 mins later licorice anise bomb!
Another 5 mins later creamy licorice hhaahh 🥰

toastgirl5

On the first spray, it's a whimsical blue powdery cloud. The violet and licorice shimmer playfully afterwards. It is gourmand in the way of parma violets.. a little sickly, a little strange.
Its strangeness lies in its caution. It teeters on the edge of being delicious, without conforming to conventional sweet floral concoctions.
The restraint in the warm musky vanilla notes hold it back from being a typical commercial gourmand, not that I dislike those.. But sometimes it is nice to indulge in a perfume like this.
The dry down is heavenly however. The strangeness has floated away and now sank into the skin, leaving a sweet warmth behind that lingers, like the aftermath of an ethereal encounter.
I can picture Alice from Twilight wearing this.

M1tsouko

A beautiful, elegant iris-cherry perfume! I think I have Le Premier though, but i think my review will still be accurate.

I’ve recently been fascinated by the Lolita Lempicka house and blind bought myself this perfume. I looked up the batch code from where i got this, which was ebay, and it turned out to be like 6 years old, so I don’t know that’s good or bad. Upon first spray, it smells like those canned hair dyes or how you spray silly string and it gives a strange synthetic smell (I’m guessing that’s the licorice + anise) The cherry and the iris comes in after about a minute and tones down the anise and licorice, making it smell absolutely beautiful! This smells like Japanese Cherry Blossom but peppery and obviously more long lasting. The occasional whiffs I get of LL is just so beautiful since it’s light and feminine.

sillywench

If you want to feel like a little elf girl in the forest buy this. The opening is pretty greenish on my skin with a little bit of that cough syrup cherry which i actually like and then the heart opens up and reveals a very nice powdery core. Very pretty and sweet! Candylike! Might be my new signature scent!

haniata

Original review 07/29/11: “I hate licorice, I hate star anise, every time I've tried this perfume on I felt like I was suffocating.
Why am I still trying to like it?
It smells absolutely heavenly on others. Sadly it just won't work with me.”

Guess what? I MADE IT WORK!
Above review was written shortly after purchasing a small bottle, but I wanted to love it so much, I just carried on using it. Learned to enjoy the earthy tones, and since purchased and loved most of the flankers.

DarlingLovely

I got myself a vintage bottle, knowing that I would like it, but didn't expect how much I love it! Very fairy forest. Sweet, a bit green, and absolutely sparkling! Delectable, the iconicism is valid, considering the beauty of this perfume.

AleshaA

This is a really pretty fruity magical scent the only fruity perfume I like it has depth with the base notes, the more I use it the more I’m drawn to it. It is addictive and playful makes me feel happy wish it had more lasting power it is a nice everyday kind of scent good value ;p

fire2heart

I can't believe I didn't post a review of this before! When I first bought it, I returned it. My nose was inexperienced. I ended up buying a flanker that I fell in love with and I bought this again and I've been in love ever since.
The cherry and liquorice with the patcholi just hit all the witchy spots in me. I have a aged bottle so it doesn't quickly fade. It lasts for days on my clothes and pillow case if I wear it to bed.
I don't understand how some think this is for young girls. I think it's a very mature scent 💜

MAGIX

Always one of my favorites. It last forever on me! Violet in fragrances really bring out a long lasting pleasing scent. Combined with the powder note softens it just enough to wear it around most people.

VMonster

Update 1/19/22: I ended up selling this shortly after posting this review. I appreciate this one but I never wanted to smell like it. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I wound up selling it. I am going to be trying Lolitaland next.

Soft, powdery iris, a shy licorice, tart cherry, green ivy, and a dash of vanilla. This perfume is definitely "magical" as many have said. I bought this as a Christmas gift before I lost my smell to Covid (woe!) and couldn't smell it at all for a week or so. Now, it's emerging to my nose, quietly, and I do love it. I wish it were stronger, but everything is very "distant" to my nose as of late and I have to overspray to get anything. At least others have also mentioned that it sits close to the skin and lacks sillage/longevity; I know it's not "just me." This is worth having just for the uniqueness of the scent.

antoniov

This is a fragrance I remember from my teen years as the bottle and just smelling it (from the bottle) was so sweet. Unfortunately, this never worked on my skin as whenever I tried it the powder and vanilla would be so overwhelming on me that it would end up smelling like incense. It could be a great signature scent but do try it out before buying.

Geminihoney

This is a cozy and cute perfume. I remember receiving this for my 16th birthday and I loved it. I don’t think this would be a scent I would wear now in my late 20s but certainly a lovely choice for teens and early 20s. Gives off a cute girl next door vibe.

Domenica23

It`s been on the market for a while and it does not bore me at all. Sad that they do not sell the oil of the EdP anymore, it was great and long-lasting. A nice present for any woman anytime of the year.

AMMILLER

😍🥰 I actually hate licorice for eating. Not even twizzlers. But this smells fantastic! It has sweet vaguely cake like smell, with out being overwhelmingly gourmand. I did not expect this!

blorpkin

This one sits close to my skin, and it smells so so good. Can't stop sniffing my wrists. It's a nice cozy sweet licorice.

Chinello23

Sour licorice. At first I thought it was disgusting, but the more I sniff it the more addicting it gets.

This is definitely a polarizing scent, no doubt about it!

Ivy Oak

Oh, Lolita, my dearest changeling,

When we first met, just before the “new” millennium, you immediately caught my eye with your unique yet youthful grace. But when I got to know you a little better, I thought we weren’t a great match. You were the apple of my eye, radiating oh so pretty, but I thought you were too young for me, I missed “depth” and “substance”, and I was ready to grow up.

O, what a fool I was. Here I am, almost a quarter of a century later, and I haven’t forgotten you. And milady, you’re still the talk of town. Whenever someone on this forum asks about concoctions fit for nymphs, elves, witches and fairy tales, you rise to the occasion.

I couldn’t resist anymore. I had to see you again.

Surprisingly, my first impression after all these years must have been flawed by my ego on its high horse. I worried I might have made a mistake and misjudged you, once again, as a simple sugar fairy.

Now I understand: you had a strategy. You put a spell on me. Mirroring my own misjudgment to see if I’d come back, if I was able to get off that high horse and revise my observations.
You gave me tooth-achingly sweet sugar candy cherries and not much else. A little Star Anise to amp this sweetness to the absolute limit of what I could bear. Yes, a zesty fresh Ivy peeked around the corner here and there, but it seemed to fly away again immediately, like when you’re trying to remember a dream. I thought I somehow had ended up in a candy shop, but one without any licorice, and I felt betrayed. You were playing tricks, my dear.

With my horse back at the stable, our second rendezvous was nothing like the first one. It was if you had become someone else entirely. You were graceful and endearing, but more mystical, complex and a little darker than before, and this stirred my interest. Flirtatiously you showed me hints of your smooth Violet, Iris and Amaryllis and teased me with your Vanilla, Musk and Tonka Bean heart. And there was Licorice. Oh, yes, there was. The Orris root, Vetiver and yet again the sparkling Ivy transported us to a deserted moonlit forest. This time you left your sugared candy cherries and pralines at home.

Your projection is moderate, definitely more than just lingering on my skin, but never loud or grabbing all attention. You are present but intimate, and still with me while I wear my mask. And you stay there for a good amount of time, both on skin and clothes. You are translucent and ethereal, like dewdrops in a morning meadow. A delicate detail that makes something even more striking.

My glorious Lolita, I have learned my lessons. We had a temperamentful on-and-off again liaison, until you made the scales fall from my eyes and allowed me to see your true colours. I ate from your poisoned apple, but I’m no longer asleep.

Goodness gracious, I will never ever-ever-ever leave you again. Cheers to a happily ever after. 💚

Wdalton

This is one of the best things I've ever experienced. It smells like heaven. It just doesn't last long enough and the sillage isn't as much as I'd like.

frag_nostalgia

*sigh* I love this. Sparkling green ivy, a boozy, nose-tickling shot of Sambuca served up with a cherry cola backer, lush violets.. finishing with clean and powdery iris, amaryllis, orris and sweet vanillic tonka on the back end. Not quite sweet enough to be a gourmand, nor spicy woodsy enough to be unisex, nor green enough to be considered fresh. Truly a unique masterpiece in a class of her own. It's a spritz on pulse points, put on a super soft cozy sweater and pj bottoms, then curl up under a fuzzy throw with a kitty at my feet, to read on a chilly autumn evening kind of fragrance. Merci beaucoup, LL, for this delicious masterpiece. 💜🖤💚

theoneandonlykatyc

I got this because ive seen it described as a gormound but its alot more masculine than feminine to me and it reads as woodsy almost, it reminds me of aftershave or something

ozlemmenguloglu

where can we buy it? it was discontinued..

cristiana27

i love it! vanilla, woody and spicy. recommend it if you like vanilla and also cheap

Groovymarlin

One of the first really unusual fragrances I ever purchased. I still have my vintage 1997 bottle, and it still smells divine. Not something I'd reach for every day, but now and then, it's a nice bit of nostalgia. Sweet, but also sort of spicy? Sign me up.

juliabee

I appreciate the versatility of this fragrance as I can easily see it being worn by both a stripper in a seedy small town and a Taylor Swift & bath bomb obsessed fourteen-year-old. I personally fall somewhere in between those two archetypes, so Lolita Lempicka is right up my alley. Though medicinal, it's the dark cherry scent of fantasies.

Tavakkol1

It reminds me of Insolence by Guerlain. Very unique!!!

vivalajuju

In Montreal back in the early 2000s, lived on St-André at de Maisonneuve this heroin-addicted prostitute named Katja.
She was big and tall, and walked very funny (I guess her love for 70s block heels and other sex worker white boots only accentuated her bad posture).
She was always a bit of a mess. She had a high-pitch voice, a lisp and the nerdiest laughter. She loved animals (she had a parrot, a great dane and the slowest of boyfriends), managed to attend school despite her situation, she had a sweet tooth, didn't like coffee, she was amicable, fun, silly, confident, a great tipper and really into fashion.
Now that I think of it, for sure she has Asperger's. But I digress. Anyway!
So... Katja wore this. And I get it. It's perfect. It's unique. It's warm and soothing. It's sexy. Works great in Montreal weather. I hope she still smells like the Love Fairy that she is, hopefully pursuing a career in fashion like she wanted to💎

FatimahC

Not a love, but definitely a like. I get the anise/licorice, vanilla and floral bomb. For some reason it smells citrus on me, but that might be the sourness of of the cherry. Definitely has a sweet, powdery, and slightly sour smell. I wouldn't go out my way to buy this again, but I wouldn't mind be gifted it. I think the sour keeps it from me loving it.

Lasts quite a while and projects somewhat far. I can see this as a summer night smell or fall/winter day smell

People love this smell on me more than I do

Faryyneemo

does anyone know any VS or BBW perfume that smells like this one :)) thnkyou in advance

Mari-Antoinette

Hi Creed Love in Black ,,, this is very similar to creed love in black. So similar that u don not need both.

FatimahC

I appreciate this one. Not a love, but definitely a like. The sweet anise and vanilla smell is strong with this one. The musk in this one is strong on me too. I know ow there are other scents there, but they are not distinguishable on me.

This scent lasts from 6-9 hours on me and the projection varies whether I wear it in warm or cold weather. I find it a nice night time scent in warm weather and a day time scent in cold weather.

Yvettte

It's alright, I find it too powdery (like baby powdery) and anise-y for me, and spicyness wore off super quick, I was expecting more sweetness. Good just not on me.

AlaskanAngel

On my skin this smells just like those violet flavored candies. Sweet, floral, chalky, soapy, powdery, and generally inedible. I thought this would be more of a gourmand because of the notes. I love anise and licorice but I can't find them in here. It's very floral. This was not made for me.

Swedelish

After falling in love with House of Sillage Cherry Garden I sought out a bottle of this little og Lolita to remind myself since it had been some time since I'd smelled her. I also wanted to compare it to Cherry Garden because without a doubt they are very very similar. I love Lolita again and feel it suits me now more than ever. I always liked it and appreciated the beauty of the bottle as well as the quality of the juice. It was the best cheapie in perfume existence. My violet craving is almost satisfied with this, but more than anything it's the spiced cherry vanilla I love so much. It's a little brighter and easier to wear than I remember. Perfect for fall!

valelita

She's fresh, she's unique, a little mysterious. This is an unconventionally attractive perfume.

Twentzel

Spicy, powdery, violet+cherry
Mystical. Lovely bottle. I like it 💜

jule9

I had the original Lolita Lempicka when I was very young (a tiny lilac apple with gold stem, gifted by my mother). It was the scent of an apple from a fairytale. I was a big fan of Hans Christian Andersen's fairytales when I was a kid. This perfume suited the magical illustrations; perhaps the Snow Queen could have smelled like that? It was just out of this world. People didn't smell like that, fairies and princesses smell like that. The perfume was a crystal-like veil elevating the person who had it, defying gravity, fresh, subtle, clean and sweet, but also mysterious. Like it knew something you don't. Like it made fun of you in a light-hearted way. Of course, I couldn't describe it like this then, I was just a kid, but this tiny magical apple was my most prized posession.

Mon Premier evokes it, but it's a faint echo. The original is a lost legend. How sad.

VioletRabbit

Not to be dramatic, but I would die for Lolita. I've been wearing this on and off since it debuted in the 90s and now that I'm in mid-life, I cannot be without a bottle. Somehow, I love it more and more as time wears on, as this is my "soul mate" scent. I feel deeply connected to her in all the the ways that matter and to say it is my favorite smell in the world would be an understatement. There isn't much to add that hasn't already been said (and much more eloquently than I'm capable), particularly as far as the technical aspects of it, but LL is a one-of-a-kind and magical star anise-violet-cherry-vanilla-musk dream. She is a lush, dark forest of mystical enchantment that I never want to leave.

Interestingly, it wasn't until years later after having worn this and several other of my loves, I became aware many of my favorites were created by Annick Menardo. That woman is a genius, having also created my close-second love, Dior Hypnotic Poison, as well as the best of the LL flankers. I'm cautiously optimistic about this 2021 re-release with the original bottle, which I'm hoping will contain within it the original lovely juice!

If you're an "outside the box" type of person and you know the dark is nothing to be afraid of and that it's actually quite lovely, you owe it to yourself to at least try this now-classic. When you experience it, you'll know.

de173eld

Review for old version only.

I've been avoiding getting a FB because even a tiny dab out of a mini splash bottle demonstrated that LL is a statement piece. I figured a whole spray would be too overpowering. After hearing that it went through a product redesign and reformulation, I panic-bought an older FB off Mercari. Glad I did.

One whole spray turned out to be not as overwhelming as I feared. I don't like gourmand scents but this one has much more character than just a sweet yummy smell.

The old bottle is worth keeping as a decorative ornament, which I'm looking forward to. The round, imperfect, organic shape of the glass fruit with faded gold ivy prints suits Lolita Lempicka's "mystical natural" aesthetic. The tiny 5ml mini-apple is adorable but a full sized glass fruit in your hand just feels right.

The new, simplified geometric shape bottle doesn't align with their brand image that they've been maintaining for the last few decades. I'm disappointed. Haven't smelled the newer bottle so no review for the juice.

eaudefaun

Its okay! Honestly I wanted to like it more, but this perfume is just. Basic and inoffensive to me. I may wear it occasionally, but its not my fave!

mossmouse

So this little guy has been one I've had my eye on for a LONG time because it sounded like a dream come true for me. It's described as earthy but still super sweet, licorice and cherry and ivy, like a purple fairy or a witch would wear.
I finally got my hands on a small bottle. It's not the original in the beautiful apple bottle unfortunately and I havent gotten to smell that formulation. This is the 2017 version I think. On first spritz I panicked a little because all I could smell was alcohol, but it was also fresh out of the mail and the heat.
Update: I'm changing my review after having it for a while. I still love this, but I've gotten mixed reviews when wearing it and it's one of the only scents I have that changes day to day. Some days it's that beautiful, dark licorice and wood and powdery violet with a hint of sour cherry, and some days it goes super sour and punchy. I think it might honestly be the opening because it usually dries down to the scent I love and I adore the performance on this, but occasionally the opening smells like cherry scented floor cleaner.
One person told me I smelled delicious wearing this, and then specified "you smell like Halloween!" I had another person sniff it from the cap and he said "smells like you're at a public pool and someone spilled cherry juice in the water."
So all in all this is probably not a safe blind buy and I don't think it's for everyone, but once I get past the opening I still really love it. It has a dark playfulness about it that makes it super special

nosekiss

I tested this fragrance out a few times so far. I always thought Lolita Lempicka reminded me something nostalgic but now I realized this smells exactly like the Kellogg’s mixed berry fruity snacks It’s juvenile yet so intoxicating… love <3
I will definitely be purchasing a fb once I’m done with my decant.

ShannonIk

I have to admit that I enjoy this far more than I thought I would. And, I truly enjoy it because it is an enigmatic fragrance. It is a little bit fresh, a little bit sweet, a little bit green, a little bit spicy . . . . . it's none of those things, yet all of them all at the same time.

Personally, I love the cherry note in this fragrance. Because it's present, detectable and yet, not cloying, not medicinal, and oddly "clean" smelling. This is a refreshing, unique and uplifting scent. I enjoy it quite a bit.

amandavolpe

The only possible gourmand.

Remmel

I wanted to love this because I think the bottle is gorgeous. Unfortunately, I bought a sample and I don’t like it. Lolita Lempicka is an incredibly sugary, fruity fragrance with a very strong cherry note, something I like in theory, but in practice is very synthetic and medicinal. It lasts pretty long and the sillage is fine, but I can’t get past the almost headache-inducing sweetness.

Skinterpreter

I kind of like the scent. The opening smells like cherry, vanilla and soap to me. I also get something very La Vie est Belle-like, maybe because of the vanilla&praline&iris combo in this (I own LVeB, by the way). There is also certain noticeable spiciness to it, like cherry covered in spices maybe. Not bad at all, though I don't know if I would buy a full bottle of this. It's very likeable, but I guess I expected something more mysterious and complex, at least based on some of the reviews. This is more of a fruity, daily-wear scent... though a rather nice one.

Alicen1derland

I find this to be a dark and mysterious scent.
I don't think fairy gardens and sweet things when I smell this. Instead I think mystical, dark, and bewitching.
Like black cats, magic, red lips, and poisonous apples.
It's a unique scent with a very earthy, warm, spicy sweetness about it. I do pick up violets, licorice, cherry, and maybe a bit of an almond or amaretto scent that some have mentioned, and also a little musk.
Personally, I don't care for it too much. I like it more than I thought I would as I normally hate anything having to do with licorice but this wasn't bad.
You don't need to use much as it's very potent. It lasted all day and I even wiped some away because it was just too strong for me. I think this would smell best in cooler whether but honestly I can see this being a year round scent for those who like it.
I tried both this one and the LL Mon Premier. Although they very similar, nearly identical, MP dries down with more of a cherry sweetness.
I hoped I would like this more but it's just not for me. My boyfriend didn't care for it either.

rebeccazeidenberg

I bought this back in 2007 because it came with a really cool perfume stand and pin. It looks great on my dresser but I haven't used it for years. I don't know if it's gone bad or what but it smells a bit like plastic on my skin, I'm not getting the sweet notes, just powdery fruit. I'm also not a bit fruity fragrance fan. I sometimes don't mind a fruity note in fragrances if they're not too forthcoming but this is too much for me.

natasha28

Review is for my own reference - I really really dislike the smell of this perfume! Almost HATE the smell of it. I'm not sure if it's the licorice note or a weird floral that I don't like, but I don't understand why it is so popular?!
You can find it online at discount stores for cheap.

Ceabloo

My intoxicating elixir !!! Please bring this original back ( current one smells like cheap imposter)
Warm and incredibly luxurious gourmand that lingers with classic elegance. Sweet but not sickly. Love this one soooo much . If anyone has a original bottle for sale or swap I would be eternally grateful

skeletoff

Loved it at first, then asked my boyfriend what he thought of it…he said it was nice but kinda just smells like deodorant. He’s right, now that’s all I can smell.

Jiize

It opens up with anise/licorice and strong violet or iris. I'm not sure which one, but I'm not a big fan of that. Gladly it smooths down quite fast. Then comes a hint of cherry + sweeter and earthy notes that lasts long. Licorice stays with the notes but lighter. I like it much but don't love it. The handle isn't good. It broke while the bottle was in my handbag, so it's a bit hard to use it. This is a really special and unique smell for someone who likes to stand out.

Cymbaline1

This was a great feminine scent when I was in my teens an 20s but it seems a bit to young on me in my 30s.

fairymeist

Ahhh Lolita Lempicka, my all time favourite perfume of all times. This was the one that made me fall in love with fragrances and that’s where it all started.
This scent is UNIQUE it has an earthy note , like a dirty soil note in it, its powdery, a little bit sweet and just magical. To me its very nocturnal and cold and the bottle is my favourite bottle as well, I keep the old bottle and formulation in the darkness and I don’t really use it anymore, to my is such a beautiful perfume that I spray sometimes just to get those memories, i feel like its too good to wear it, I don’t know if people do the same with perfumes that are just too unique and good, you just keep it to yourself and keep it intact like a Gem.

amandavolpe

Once at a block party a stranger came up to me, complimented my perfume and asked if he could sniff me. He sniffed my neck, thanked me and left. I was wearing Lolita Lempicka.

NessyNesquick

Crying shame this fragrance is no longer in production.

CashmeranGoods

Love this violet/anise combination. Never got to try the original formulation but maybe it had better longevity?

loraxsix

As a lover of violets, I had to try this! Original bottle. If I did not know better, I would think this scent was made exclusively for me! Sweet, dark, and mysterious. Nocturnal forest nymph of the purple magic realm! The bottle is beautiful! I love that the violet here is much sweeter and different than my other favorite, Insolence.

I get candied violets, licorice, black cherry cola. An earthiness I assume is the ivy? There is also something that reminds me of sweet almond. The dusty dry down is addictive and mood lifting. I am indeed a night owl in a real-life woodsy land, and find this scent wearable all year long. That said, the warm humid nights of Summer bring out it's best magic. I will have to update this as far as attention and compliments are concerned. (Everyone has been masked when I've worn it out!) Oddly, wearing this has made me quite fond of black licorice candy!

Now I must collect the other exquisite apples! Can't believe I waited so long to explore LL!

I really like, possibly love this (I only own a small splash bottle in the old gorgeous 90's design, so I'm savoring this). It's very unique which is something I usually look for in anything I add to my collection. I'd love a 1 oz bottle of this (I probably would spring for the old bottle because it's just so magical and mysterious, I prize my mini bottle and just like everyone else I express how much it sucks they updated the bottle). Pretty sure I smell violet, licorice, cherry and the tonka bean and/or vanilla. Not sure how star anise smells but something in this reminds me of amaretto almost like if there's some almond in this.

Update:
I have found a perfume that to my nose is exactly as LL old formula and the price was so cheap £4.50. Is Mini Sexi of Ulric de Varens. Really great performance I did find 0 differences between both of them and didn’t smell any synthetic note.
I have ended up selling my original LL bottle, which I love the bottle but for the almost same quality I rather prefer the money.

I reached for this old friend a few minutes ago - do any of you find yourself spritzing on different scents throughout the night when you have insomnia? Still so wonderful, unique, Magickal as ever, but it occurred to me that this was originally released nearly 25 years ago, which is when I tried her for the first time. I've done a LOT of living this past quarter century, and I wasn't exactly a schoolgirl back then either. I am a suckered for fairies and fantasies and what-not, but I paused for a moment before spraying. Had I grown too old for such a waifish fragrance? This had never crossed my mind before about any fragrance I loved that stood the test of time. Of course, I sprayed, and quite lavishly I must say. And you know what? I can STILL be a Fairy Princess - okay, maybe a Fairy Queen - any time I want to be one. Such is the Magick of fragrance - it's transformative nature can move backwards and forwards through time, or stop on a dime for your own revelry. I feel like I've fallen in love again!

I purchased my first bottle of Lolita Lempicka during the winter months and wasn’t crazy about it. So, I sat it on the shelf and didn’t touch it until yesterday, which was one of our first summer-like days of the year. Now, I’m in love!! This fragrance is perfect for a hot sunny day to give you that light, summer feeling. It enhances all those feelings we experience those first few days of summer weather! When I tried it during the winter, I felt like it didn’t last and had no silliage. I sprayed it yesterday morning before I started working and received several compliments throughout the day. I resprayed around 3:30, before my husband and I left for an outdoor music festival ( in low 90 temps) and I still smell it on my skin today at noon and it’s definitely still going strong on the shirt I wore last night!

Recently blind buy of a 30ml. discontinued bottle at a local pharmacy; the colour of the box was faded away by sunlight and (since 2016 date of manufacture) this gem apparently got invisible to the people until I saw it.
Love at first sniff, Iam just blown away by this perfume. It is true that you get transported to a enchanted forest full of the most beautiful fairies.
I am so bad identifying specific notes but the violet here is excellent despite the fact Iam not a lover of violet smell.m
Definitely it seems Lolita Lempicka suits my character and has become my favourite perfume, just regret I have known it after the reformulation but bought already in Ebay an old formula 100ml bottle that I know will worth every penny.
Iam amazed by this truly masterpiece of the perfumery.

Smells like a wintertime bath & body works spray at first - super sweet above all with a little bit of coolness/spiciness. The more interesting notes come out after a while, something green and dank. I smell the violet, ivy, and almond / cherry + mildew / forest dankness. No anise or licorice. Very sweet, cloying almost. Teenage mall nymph. I like it

A review below compared this to candied violets. Indeed it’s very much a candied violet scent, but with a hefty dose of cherry and the ivy does add a little bit of earthy green to this that makes it interesting and steers it away from full on gourmand. After an hour or two the orris root and iris come forward big time and turns this very much into a cosmetic scent (which I absolutely love).
I love licorice or anise scents so I was disappointed when I didn’t really smell it here. But to my surprise and enjoyment, I started getting it in the far dry down.
Projection is not strong, this sits close, but I get a good 6 hours out of it. But it is a totally, totally different fragrance from opening to far dry down. I actually love this. It’s morphs and changes and I enjoy it’s many stages.
I had been wanting this for awhile. Never tried the original formulation unfortunately, but I am enjoying what I have now.

Beautiful! Truly a magical scent... if you can get your hands on it that is! What more can one say! It's mystical and ethereal. That slight green ivy note truly takes this scent from a "lolita" candy girl type scent to full-blown forest nymph glory. It's slightly damp and earthy but sweet and intoxicating. Totally gorgeous! If anyone doesn't like their LL feel free to send it to me! I can't get enough! 9/10
