Prada L'Homme Intense by Prada is a Amber Woody fragrance for men. Prada L'Homme Intense was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Daniela (Roche) Andrier. Top note is Iris; middle notes are Amber and Patchouli; base notes are Tonka Bean, Leather and Sandalwood.

Prada's new fragrant pair, Prada La Femme and Prada L'Homme, premiered on the market mid-2016. A year later, their enriched and intensified compositions in Eau de Parfum Intense concentration are announced.

Prada L'Homme Intense promises "a multi-layered experience" and enhances the scent of iris and amber with notes of leather and patchouli, while tonka bean gives it an oriental signature. The goal of the scent and its opaque bottle is to evoke "the elusive nature of the multi-faceted Prada man."

It is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Question EVERYTHING

This is pure class. This would be a great signature scent with the exception of summer, or perhaps late spring. This works days or evenings. When there were talks of discontinuation, I purchased a backup bottle, as I did not want to be without this great frag. But upon reading deeper into it, L'Oréal became the distributor of Prada, and it just became scarce for a few months. This is now easy to find online at discounters. It is not a projection monster, but gives you a nice scent bubble that will last 8 - 10 hours with 6 to 7 sprays. The Iris and Leather stay prominent throughout the life of the frag, and the patchouli gives it a nice earthy tone that is underlying.

I have become absolutely infatuated with this class frag. I would put this in the 30+ for an age bracket, but this could be a nice date night frag for someone 25+ if you're mature. Not a clubbing scent at all.

Dior Homme Intense but much easier to wear. Ever since I bought this, I rushed and full on bought it on full retail price at Sephora. When I found out, it to be rumored to be discontinued. I bought some several back-up bottles, but rest assured, my latest bottle is from L’oreal’s recent batch. So it is less likely they will discontinue it but it is harder to find and a bit pricey, at least it gets discounted nonetheless.

For performance, 8-10 hours with soft projection. Classy, Dark, and Elegant. If Gary Oldman would wear a fragrance it would probably be this one. A darker and rich version of Prada L’Homme, so heavily underrated masterpiece compared to the hyped Dior Homme Intense. In comparison between the two, objectively Dior Homme Intense has a better blend, but, subjectively, I love the scent DNA more of this fragrance, better than Dior Homme Intense or Dior Homme Parfum. This gets a 10 for me honestly, such a masterpiece, and I will always get a bottle of it.

Zepster77

2017 batch is soft, clean, suede, iris, powdery, safe, “prim & proper”.

It is not intense, dark, harsh, or similiar to DHI in any way aside from the fact they both include iris.

It is a lovely scent with the usual high standard of quality Prada is known for.

Denis04

I tried a sample expecting this to be a darker and longer-lasting version of Prada l’homme/Prada l’homme L’eau but on my skin, this doesn't happen and instead, it smells very similar to my bottle of Prada l’homme L’eau smelling very makeup like and powdery, and projects about the same if not less. which could be me going nose blind or this fragrance not projecting off my skin. On my skin, I don't get leather and even don't get a lot of amber instead the iris is at the forefront. This makes it redundant to own in my experience and while it does smell fantastic it's not full bottle worthy. I had my family members smell this with my l"eau version and they all agreed that they both smelled very similar. After all of this I still think is a great fragrance and If this does work on your skin chemistry or you don't own any other Prada l’homme this is the better one in the line.

Overall Rating:9
I would probably get this eventually maybe when my bottle of Prada l"home l'eau runs out but it is sitting at 75% so I might acquire this in the future as long as it doesn't get discontinued.

Tfrag

It smells pretty clean an well put together, the opening is slightly harsh/overpowering for maybe 5 minutes maximum. It has a rich warm tart raspberry type of smell to my nose which I assume is the intensely amped up iris, I've only owned it for 2 days but it's starting to grow on me, I think I actually like the Original Prada L'homme better, but I could also picture that changing as this fragrance grows on me overtime. Both good fragrances though, the original is definitely more my style an more versatile in my opinion though.

m2uj

I am loving this, it is intense, quite literally intense, kinda harsh opening, clean soapy & sexy, some sweetness in there but just a little, this feels like a private collection, or even for a private occasion, yet can be worn to the gym due to its clean factor, however, it is not as clean as the original, where the original simply smelled like soap, like a nivea bodywash, this ones smells like a nivea body wash but for women, so sexy, DO NOT blind buy this, not everyone will like this nor love it, some told me it is way too intense and harsh even though I used two sprays, but I LOVE IT, so I do not care what they say. But please make sure you wear it in an open area, not office, not classrooms, or else you will surely kill them cuz of how strong this scent is.

Scent: 9/10
Longevity & Silage: 10/10
Blind buy?: NO NO NO NO
If you are really going to blind buy it, check the perfume I or others who truly fell in love at first sniff, have, if you like the things we like you might as well like this one since they might discontinue it.

midget11

Can someone confirm if this is discontinued? I literally saw it in shops a day ago

Reminded me of dior homme intense instantly but I personally like this alot better, its darker and slightly cleaner, immediately went on the wishlist!

axelsniff86

Love at first sniff.
It's powdery clean, but still a fresh scent. Definitely grate for office. And 10 times better than the original.

enders

One of the greatest designer fragrances ever made. Clean and soapy iris with powdery touches surrounded by amber. I get great performance on my skin, at least 6-8 hours with 3 sprays. This is the perfect date night or night out fragrance.

antongl97

as good as designer perfumery gets, 10/10

Sonney

My Signature Scent. Prada L’Homme Intense is almost the perfect fragrance for me. A bottle of straight powder and iris, Idk what else to describe it as. It’s the perfect scent if you want to smell clean and sophisticated. Wish it had a stronger sillage but regardless it’s a 10/10

WallahiWhite

Prada L’homme intense strikes me as a very clean scent. The iris persists throughout its duration and really adds to the pleasant soapiness of the smell, accompanying the slight powdery profile well.

In my opinion, this is a scent built for after the first shower of the day, reflecting that cleanliness and freshness that you feel after you’ve dried off. On my skin, the iris, patchouli and sandalwood ring through more than the notes of leather and amber, and i also pick up a hint of lavender, but that may just be my nose.

This fragrance is very versatile for almost all occasions. General everyday wear, wanting to smell good around your place of work or education, for classier date nights, L’homme intense does it all.

My only qualm is that the fragrance doesn’t seem to project or perform very well on my skin. it’s definitely more of an intimate scent, but i find myself going slightly noseblind to it after an hour or two, and i personally love to smell what i’m wearing all throughout the day.

All in all, Prada L’homme intense is an exceedingly enjoyable fragrance, demonstrating versatility and most importantly, a pleasant aroma. 9/10

SiddhantSuryawanshi

Well, imagine Prada L'Homme Intense as the scent of 'getting it.' It's that deep, kind of mysterious smell that's both classy and a little bit daring.

Here's when to wear it:

The Fancy Date: You know, the kind where you actually make reservations, dim lights, maybe even a little live music. This scent says you put in the effort, but you're not trying too hard. It's got this quiet confidence thing going on.

The "Let's See Where This Goes" Night: It's got a warmth and a hint of spice... perfect for when you're feeling spontaneous and just a little adventurous. Like you're open to wherever the night might take you.

The Big Presentation Where You Need to Impress: This scent is powerful without being overpowering. It's like, "I'm capable, I'm interesting, and I've totally got this."

Think of it less as a love potion and more as a way to amplify those moments where you want to leave a lasting impression. It's like a perfectly tailored suit, but for your personality.

ManicMonkey84

Almost gives me a toothache with how sweet it is, but the iris saves it. I generally steer clear of cloying fragrances, and my initial reaction to PLI was befuddlement over how sugary and feminine it skewed, but it grew on me over time. My personal preference would've been for the tonka and amber to be more toned down in favor of the leather and patchouli, but as mentioned, the smoothness and classiness of the powdery iris note is what ultimately makes this a mid-drawer fragrance. Most suitable for cooler evenings. Staying power is definitely noticeable (6+ hours on my skin).

FreshNBussin

Basically L'Homme but with a rougher more intense opening, hence the name. I honestly prefer L'Homme but this basically turns into L'Homme after an hour or two so with that said, I like it.

ryanreeve

My cold weather signature scent. Dark, powdery, clean and mature. I love wearing this every day; it's not too heavy or cloying compared to most winter scents.

Pure elegance.

Prada L'homme Intense!!!
Exelente y fino perfume

Waleed_999

What a fragrance! absolutely unique and great quality 10/10.

stephen.redeker

This has popped up on discounters for about $120. How long that lasts, who knows? I'm living in Asia and have my eyes open all over for it. This is a stronger version of Prada L'Homme. The iris is amped up and it's much heavier, with added patchouli and leather notes. Excellent performance. It doesn't have the vanilla, cacao or powdery nuances as Valentino Uomo or Dior Homme Intense, but it is similar with the strong iris and darker notes. I won't be using this as a signature scent because although it's fantastic, it's more suited for evening wear in the cooler months (where I live). In the air, the impression it leaves (to non-frag heads which is most people) would be similar as a Paco Rabanne fragrance, for example. Sweet and playful. That's not what I'm going for at the office. For the day and work situations I'll be wearing the regular Prada L'Homme, and its brother Prada L'Homme Eau (which I like more), to give off the impression of fresh and clean with a hint of soapiness.

gordon.moore9

As I embrace my new signature scent, I am compelled to pen a fitting review. Amidst swirling rumors of its discontinuation, I hastened to secure this fragrance at a bargain price of $120. Let me begin by extolling the virtues of its presentation: the bottle and atomizer exude elegance and allure, epitomizing sophistication with a hint of darkness.

Upon the initial spritz, the fragrance unfolds with a tantalizing blend that teeters between fruity nuances and an enigmatic darkness. I am enveloped in a captivating aura reminiscent of dark, sensual grapes. The opening is nothing short of magnificent, drawing unanimous admiration from those who encounter it.

As the fragrance settles, it gracefully transitions to the familiar Prada L'Homme DNA, characterized by its clean linen accord intertwined with powdery notes, now accentuated by a delightful touch of leather. Its versatility knows no bounds, suitable for all seasons save for the sweltering heat of summer due to its perceptible sweetness.

In terms of performance, it excels, exhibiting commendable longevity of a solid six hours on skin and lingering for days on fabric. In the realm of scent, it earns a flawless 10 out of 10 from me, while its longevity garners a commendable 9 out of 10. Overall, it earns a resounding 9.5, firmly establishing itself as my new signature scent—a seamless embodiment of my persona, eliciting compliments aplenty from those within my vicinity.

candia93

The ultimate winter office fragrance.

Iris, sweetness and leather, with the classic Prada L'Homme clean vibe. A true classic. It smells amazing, but I can't say it's addicting.

A really good fragrance altogether, but I haven't fallen in love with it just yet.

DaysScentless

I’m gonna assume it’s being discontinued since i couldn’t find it in big retailers and notino, can anyone confirm ?

kombarris

What more could you ask for in a fragrance? Class in a bottle. Niche quality for designer price.

Zpmghal

elegant in the bottle, smells so freaking classy,a bit earthy, unique and depth, love it. smells like gentlemen in leathery jacket walking into ambery trees in the rain with a touch of woods and earth holding wonderful powdery iris for his woman and barely noticeable vanilla. so good
overall:8,7/10
scent: 9/10
longevity: 5/10 unfortunately
sillage : 4/10 idk why (i did like 5 sprays and my friend said its barely noticeable in 40 cm from me. even tho it was 20 minutes after applying)
uniqueness: 9/10 yeah i smell here some similarities with jpg le parfum and dior homme intense but it's so different, dark and mysterious

MikeRough

Love it no regrets slightly overpriced, however it's getting harder to find

Batch 01-2023
This perfume really disappointed me in terms of longevity and Sillage and projection..
On the skin It does not exceed 30 minutes Yes, this is true.
On clothes until the next day, but without Sillage or projection…

Scent 10/10
Sillage 1/10
Projection 1/10
Price 1/10

LDNA

There’s a very loud, almost muddy patchouli note that drowns everything else out. I can detect some powdery-amber-sweetness, but it’s fleeting. This is very reminiscent of Angel by Mugler to my nose because of the patchouli. It must just be my skin chemistry.

There’s barely any similarity to L’Homme and the L’Eau flanker (my favourite). This should’ve been a distinct fragrance in the lineup — too dissimilar to the OG. I wouldn’t recommend it as a blind buy (or even a blind decant lol)

Logang126

I just picked this fragrance up a week ago. It’s a very nice sophisticated scent that in my opinion you can wear at any season or time of day however, wearing it later in the day on colder temperatures would be better suited for this cologne. As for occasions, I would recommend wearing this for formal and special occasions mostly.

PULPUL75

It is the second Fragrance I have from this house It is incredible iris based fragrance with smoother leather it is dark version of Prada l’Homme, more powdery, woody,it has a touch from DHI and more close to VUI whitch I see VUI smells a bit better sexy and classy than PLHI but the last is more strong projection long-lasting for me it is one of the best Designer Fragrance in my collection and I do love it more and more day after day.🔥😍

Hermygermy

@Felixthreeone. Totally agree. The scent isn't bad, but is too sweet for my liking. Kinda gives me a headache and people have told me it smells feminine which I totally agree on. I might sell it cause i see no use for it.

MARWAN ALMOQBEL

THIS PERFUME IS A SO MUCH OF VALENTINO UOMO INTENSE, it is so good that I think you can blind buy it ,the cap has a percentage of magnet for the aesthetic , if you're choosing between it and valentino go for the better looking bottle they're almost the same

Brave828

Tried this at a Sephora and it really put me off. Both on the paper strip and my skin. The opening and dry down are like the body odour of a man who eats lots of Indian food and hasn’t showered in days. I’m honestly surprised by the stellar reviews.

ngoctnq

Mature powdery iris with decent longevity. Warm and cozy, carried me through my 20s so it will always have a special place in my heart.

galancarlo

Classy scent with good projection has depth to it. A big burst of iris when first sprayed that changes to a creamy leather sandalwood. This is 100% on par with Dior homme parfum but slightly different at the same time. Very different from Valentino uomo intense

8/10

RonîM.Efrîn

Amazing, was smelling this on a paper-strip for an hour straight. Best Iris scent that I've smelled yet. Defo a future buy. Edit: I bought it! :)

Felixthreeone

@ hermygermy don't take it personally. Someone here was apparently offended by my honest review of this fragrance as well, and it mysteriously got a donkey balloon and then vanished. But, I'm going to repost it since I didn't think it was offensive in any way (unless you cannot see your favorite fragrance get criticized)?

I'm so colossally disappointed with this one. I can't even express how much. A woody, earthy, leathery Prada l'homme????? YES!!!! But, no. Actually. Not at all. This is, in my opinion, and to my nose, the notes listed above, minus the leather, the patchouli, and the sandalwood. It is sweet, sugary, and ambery. I get no leather at all. No other notes here. My wife commented on how feminine-leaning it smelled to her in the air (I wasn't surprised, tbh since many of the ones that I have she says the same). This is not, to me, a 'more masculine' leaning version of L'homme as I was hoping. It definitely is NOTHING at all like VUI or DHI. In fact, I would never have even known the lineage of the fragrance if I had been blindfolded and asked. So, I am in the minority here, and I didn't want to be. Based on what I read and things I researched, this should have been a perfect 10 for me. Longevity is great, sillage/projection are great, but the fragrance isn't something I'll ever wear. So away it goes, to a very excited new owner. That being said, anyone holding off on this fragrance because of leather, or 'earthiness', or even patchouli, let me assure you, try it. You might find your '10' here.

Hermygermy

Bro got my comments removed💀. What has collection to with anything. An expensive collection doesn't mean shit

o block fragrance

bluds are having fragrance beef ☠️☠️

Hermygermy

It's just too sweet tbh. The iris is just too much. No one that I know is a fan of this one. It's ok. That's just it. 6/10 for the smell.

DuaneMD

Soapy, clean iris with a woodsy dry down.

Class in a bottle. Impossible not to love.

Perfect for formal evenings in the cooler months.

siverthov

As some other reviewers say: Like batman took a shower. Clean, mature, sophisticated. Elegance in a bottle.

For me this can even be pulled on a breezy summer evening as the iris is quite fresh.

qoepi

A very well rounded iris and patchouli fragrance, I think the leather note is more of a suede and it gives off the smooth powderiness which I love, the tonka bean also gives it a bit sweetness I really love this it's really easy to pick up and wear, but I don't think it's for people who lean towards dressing casual

Zepster77

All the reviewers can’t help but repeat the “dark” mantra but people this is nowhere NEAR as “dark” (or sexy) as DHI…
This is harmless clean calf’s glove leather and powder
And cleancleanclean NOT deep NOR dark or very sexy - unless squeaky clean suede is sexy to you!
Performance is good! Just that the atomizer (on my made in Spain bottle) spits such a direct & tight pattern - hardly any dispersal of the fragrance occurs!! A real issue if you are spraying mostly on clothes… in closing: it’s a beauty but it’s no holy grail. Prada’s Amber Pour Homme is way more stunning….

Afc_Croatian

Prada L'Homme Intense only needed a few hours to be part of my top 10 fragrances in my collection, this stuff is simply amazing.

Where do I start? Well, the opening is simply gorgeous, niche quality. For me it's the iris and amber that blend together and hit your nose immediately: it's a fantastic balance as the iris gives it that expensive vibe while the amber makes it more relatable and addicting,

I don't seem to pick up on any leather on the dry-down, the tonka is noticeable but that iris and amber stick together all throughout.

Wear this fragrance when you are feeling confident about yourself, you will feel bulletproof in public, like you can rock any outfit. I love love love this scent.

10/10 and I do not give a scent that rating often.

shahzadhk

The opening is an ultra-realistic Black Licorice smell. That is all I get, black licorice. About 30 minutes in the fragrance starts to soften up with some Tonka bean coming through. Smells like a luxury bar of soap mixed with licorice. The smell is extremely classy and is great to wear in a suit or on formal occasions. Dark and mysterious vibes. Performance is mediocre. 9/10

Eaatwood

The opening was a little weird for me at first, but 30 minutes in and it has transformed into a beautiful amber-y Iris, with a touch of sweetness from the Tonka. Add in a touch of leather and this has instantly shot pass the original for me. I’ve had this fragrance NIB for nearly 6 months and just decided to open it shortly before writing this. I will give it a full wearing tomorrow to truly get a feel for it.

Ollieking103

Beautiful iris

monamona834

perfect fragrance.

vo2maxx

Love the scent, starts out with a rich creamy iris and then as the fragrance goes on leather becomes more prominent, leaving a very luxurious makeup bag type smell. Incredibly luxurious evening scent but as a 20yr old guy who dresses casually this is impossible to wear.

Ozbradster

This is the one iris scent I love. It’s so beautifully balanced with the wood and amber notes. A perfect fragrance for Spring to Winter transition. Warm but a hit of floral. A great goto evening scent.

Vendetta9

Absolutely stunning 😍

hihero

Luxurious and mature. My go to rainy day scent.
It's on the elegant side so there's not much wiggle room with this one. Not something you'd wear in summer heat or dressed up casually going to a club. This reminds me of a mature man dressed in a trench coat on a cloudy day with a storm brewing. This scent is powerful and very unique just don't expect to pull it off everyday no matter who you are.

Sa4

The scent is amazing

Great winter fragrance

RogueZXRO

Just received my bottle and am impressed. This has got to be in the top 5 in my collection. By far the best fragrance from Prada no question. A better Prada L'Homme, by making it darker, with depth, and more mature. I don't recommend it for younger folk. 10/10

Kimoland

Luxury, maturity, elegance. beautiful and lovely scent in one bottle" Prada L'Homme Intense "

fragrancemp

This smells sharp, clean and classy. I don't get "mature" vibes at all, it's just a more up-scale/sophisticated scent. I'd say it works great on younger men who are professional and clean. This is hands down my favorite iris fragrance. And for those wondering how it compares to DHI, they are vastly different. This is a lot more clean, elegant, while DHI is more playful and sweet.

marecquest

Great and long lasting fragrance but I don't find it entirely fitting for younger population.

ayywolf

This is pure gold.
I was able to get a 100 ml bottle of this from the 2019 Puig version for about $68 worth of my currency. It was unopened as well.

I'm not sure how current formulations are, but the one I have is insane.
The scent profile is irisy, ambery.
Very clean, elegant and nice. It smells like freshly washed clothes with hints of iris, it's masculin in a different way.
It's said to be a cold weather nighttime fragrance and I would agree, but this can be easily worn during the daytime in my opinion. It's very similar to its original EDT version but actually more intensified.
It isn't that dark as many people say, but definitely very classy and mysterious to some extent.

I love the Prada L'homme line in general and this is by far the best one.

Longevity is pretty good, projects as well, but it's not a room-filler. Sits close to the skin but you can still get whiffs of it from a few feet away.

I love this and yes I'm biased because I love iris scents, but this is so good and unique. It's just clean, sexy iris in its best form.

Scent: 10/10, love it. Not blind buy safe, definitely try it in stores if you can, however it isn't offensive or divisive at all, only the iris in it may be.
Sillage, performance: 8/10, I'm happy with it, it's not a beast mode fragrance but it last quite a long time with moderate projection.
Presentation: 9/10, my only negative ctiticism is that I wish the bottle was seethrough to some extent because you are not able to tell how much juice is in it at all...

Darkstarruk

I've tried to wear this on a few occasions now and with two different lady friends and both cant stand this scent? I know it gets a wave of great press and recommendations but to my nose its a Joop! style scent( either love it or hate it). I am now in the situation where i have a bottle of supposed liquid gold with nowhere to wear it ... sad times

M1K£

Dark and elevated, Prada L'homme Intense is more serious than many other date night all-stars like Spicebomb and The Most Wanted Parfum; it replaces some of their sweetness with a strong iris note and a hint of leather. I find it to be somewhat difficult to wear as a younger man, but it is undoubtedly lovely, and I think someone who loves iris and is aiming to exude elegance and professionalism with a twist of mystery would adore it.

jeucemcgeuce

Prada L'homme Intense isn't strongly leather-focused, but it has a subtle leather-like earthiness. It differs from fragrances like PDM Godolfin or TF Ombre Leather where leather is in the spotlight. I don't like the distinct smell of leather as it appears in these types of scents.

However, this fragrance is powdery, vanillic, and ambery with a depth to it that is reminiscent of leather, rather than distinctly being a leather-focused fragrance. Similar to Prada Luna Rossa Black, it is a very dense, resinous, and cozy smell that I like but I don't consider it to be mass appealing. Through the development of the fragrance, the "leather" note never takes over as the lead and I consider the notes to be well blended.

As a collector of fragrances, I'd rate it 7.5, maybe 8, out of 10. I still prefer the original Prada L'homme a little more. They're distinctly different enough to own both if you are into both of them. I think the only overlap is that they are both powdery with a hint sweetness, but other than that they are easily distinguishable because of the difference in "weight". Like a cousins you can tell are related, but no one is confusing one for the other.

Something like JPG Scandal Le Parfum is comparable to Prada L'homme Intense for usage (they don't smell the same), but it has no leather and is more mass appealing in my opinion.

8/10

Noir

The best iris designer scent that I have ever tried. PL'HI has freshness but is also enveloped in warmth, making it dark and pleasing (somewhat unheard of in the designer space). I am a fan of Dior Homme Intense, but this feels more versatile and clean, making it worthy of use for most of the year. Performance is great. You can get it for a decent price too from discounters.

Daveofalldaves

This is outstanding, classy, cool weather iris , lasts an eternity on my skin too, only need 2 sprays, my favourite iris scent in my collection, just awesome.

Suave_Blanco

I saw another comment that called this “like Batman took a shower”, and I can’t think of any other combination of words to describe this scent more perfectly.

It is clean, sexy, and mysterious. The scent is as sleek as the bottle. Projection isn’t huge, but this isn’t a scent you would really want that for. Longevity, however, is actually fantastic.

It’s meant for a more intimate occasion, for sure. A sharp button up or suit. This to me is an A+ date night scent.

Love this one, and I see myself reaching for it quite a bit. 9/10

Peaches&Cream

I am glad I bought this fragrance. The notes blends so well together , the leather isn't strong since it meshes well with the rest of the notes. It is sweet, earthy from the patchouli and powdery from the iris. It lasts long on skin and clothing. Woman can pull this off from the sweet notes of the tonka bean.

Gamecocks1!

Master piece right here so fucking good! Man I bought the big 5oz bottle when I heard they were going to discontinued it. Now it's everywhere thank God. Prada don't ever let this one go. The guy down there is right I don't pickup any leather. I can handle a little bit but I'm not big on leather fragrance

kristiananthony

@dducker11 What are you smelling? Layton is sharp and the original Prada L'Homme is cleaner with the neroli note.
Prada L'Homme Intense does not have a "crisp" iris. It's dark and rich and powdery with the leather and gets the sweetness from the tonka.
It also smells nothing like DHI.
I'd say that it's the best and most unique offering for men by Prada. 10/10

LexiTurn

Powdery Iris, quite long lasting and enjoyable.
Little is more
If using after a shower you'll still find the scent on your skin the next day. Either way lasts a good 6+ Hours.

@dducker11 Smfh with the Layton, seriously? Some people just need to not review fragrances. Stick to your day job which I’m assuming is pretty awful.

dducker11

Prada Lhomme + (PdM Layton - apple notes)=Prada Lhomme Intense.

I rather like both. I usually can’t combine the descriptors “crisp” and “sweet” when describing a fragrance, but uniquely, I can with this Prada line.

The Iris in this line of fragrances resembles the Iris used in Armani Code Parfum…lighter and more crisply floral…as opposed to the rich waxy Iris of DHI and other related frags.

The intense focuses a little more on the base notes and adds a richness. I do not think the performance is much better. Maybe a titch better.

Glad it’s in my collection but doesn’t stand out as a top ten for me. Wore it today (thus the review) and was reminded maybe I should be picking it up more often than I have been.

7.75/10

Edit: I’ve just read a bunch of reviews below that mention leather being rather prominent. I get none of that, and typically dislike fragrances with leather notes, or better said, a focus on leather. Interesting. I’ll see if I can also pick that up moving forward but I wouldn’t advise people who like/dislike leather to qualify/disqualify it based on these mentions of leather. To each their own…that’s were the fun is anyway. Maybe I’ll notice leather in this one day and it will change my mind about leathers!! I do really like this release.

MrSpover5

Clean yet dark
If you want to smell clean but not in a bubble bath shower gel way this is the one.
Batman took a shower vibes.

AnosmiaAnosognosia

An actual intense version of an original. Darker, richer, and stronger. I don't consider myself an iris lover, but damn, this stuff is good. Same for the original. Happy to have both!

anikek

Lovely, just lovely.

Ryahya

Finally got my hands on this rumored discontinued line, I bought the vial first then I decided that I need to add it to my collection.

This is really a very loud version on the OG Prada L'homme, a bit darker with the amber & patchouli, also the tonka bean gives it more depth in the powderiness of the iris.

Anyway performance is really good on my skin which is quite strange because I never really got a really good performance on my 20+ collection.

This is a crowd pleaser & you can never really get noseblind to it really.

Eds020

I Have the puig bottle from 2019...and its heavenly. Woman will stay near you

bdgarver

Damn this is good! Buy it while you can. I'm not sure this is better than the Prada L'homme but it’s at least a tie. I love them both so much I couldn't pick either head to head. They really are very similar but intense has the leather and tonka bean in the base so its alittle darker but not so dark overall. It’s a touch more powdery than the OG as well. Almost a daytime dark if that makes sense. The leather in this is a nuance and not dominant but just darkens up the base. I'm not a big leather or iris guy but Prada's iris hits just different for me. It’s not makeup smelling its more a soapy clean and powdery form and makes me question the fact I used to avoid iris fragrances. Anyway this has great projection and lasts 12+ hours on my skin and on clothes for days. Professional and smooth but not really a date or sexy fragrance. Luna Rossa Black is the sexy cousin to this scent sharing some of same characteristics but is more romantic. L'homme Intense is 100% hype worthy and a shame it’s gone from production. (If True). My signature cool to cold weather scent. 9/10 banger

TheDogfatherHTX

Prada L'Homme Intense; the most hyped flanker in the line. Does it deserve the pedestal it's been placed on? Or does it need to be knocked down a few pegs? Read on to find out;

Scent:
Opening is powdery and leathery with a bit of sweetness. Right away you get the powdery iris note, but you also get a decent punch of leather with it. The dry down is largely the same as the opening, with the primary difference being you also start getting a creamy sweetness and woodiness from the tonka and sandalwood. Other than that, iris and leather are still the primary notes. It's easy to draw comparisons between this fragrance and others like Valentino Uomo Intense, Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee, and Dior Homme Parfum. However, it's important to realize that although these fragrances are all similar to each other, they have distinct differences as well.

Performance:
Initial projection is strong at about 6 feet. Sillage is very strong, leaving a scent trail that's hard to miss. After a few hours the projection was around arms length and there was still an easily noticeable scent trail. Altogether this lasted over 12 hours on my skin, making it certified eternal.

When to wear:
Like most designer iris scents, this is very versatile. I feel this is an all season, day or night fragrance. This would also work perfectly as an office fragrance as well as a date night fragrance. Just go a little lighter on the sprays when it's hot or when you're at the office/on a date.

Blind buy:
If you like iris scents this is an easy blind buy. If you're worried about it being redundant to other iris fragrances like some others have mentioned, don't be. The creamy sweetness in the dry down sets this one apart from the others mentioned previously. After all, they DO have different note breakdowns.

Final verdict:
This fragrance definitely deserves the hype it's received. The scent is gorgeous, the performance is powerful, and it's super versatile. The only negative is that's its discontinued, which makes it expensive and hard to find. I waited and finally found a 100ml bottle for around $100, which was a great buy. As of writing this review Fragrancenet has it for $101.42, but it'll probably sell fast. If you can find this one for $130 or under, grab it. Otherwise, go for the original Prada L'Homme, as that is still a great iris scent to have in your collection.

Absolute Beginner

Just got this, batch code 22X41CC (which translates to 2023-04 production date, supposedly).

Weirdly, I can barely smell this on myself right from the get-go, but other people say it projects strongly. Maybe that's the reason I thought Idole La Nuit by Gemina B performs poorly - that one is pretty much the same scent, but with spices.

Will wear this more, and update the review later.

Upd:

Longevity is AMAZING. 24h later I can still smell it on skin. And on t-shirt which I put on top (not sprayed) it is almost as if I just sprayed it an hour ago.

Projection is hard to judge for me. But I think this scent is not intended to project (even if it does it decently). It envelops you in powdery vanilly-sweet iris, and cuddles you. Not what I'd call masculine, it leans gourmand-ish, I think.

The quality of the fragrance is very high. One of the best I smelled (granted, it is not that many). Very smooth, but very distinct in what it does over time.

Marshmelo

Just WOW. Got my package in the mail this morning and the anticipation was killing me after trying to get this one for a few years now. It exceeded my expectations. The only thing close to this is the original Prada L'Homme but this takes its own route. It's darker, richer and creamier than its original counterpart. You can smell the similarities at first spray but the dry down is so addicting and where you will see how this differentiates itself from the original. Being a huge fan of the original this is definitely a pleasure to have in my collection. This is a top tier fragrance worth every penny. Getting a backup bottle as soon as possible.

Khaledtawfiq

The new batches , very weak smell with no longevity or sillage . Bad what they did to this master piece.

VETTIVAER

I was really eager to try this one, being thoroughly enchanted with the original Prada l'Homme (clear).

However, the Intense version seems to have parallels with the spicy playdough aroma of Luna Rossa Black. It does share some similarities with the original, namely earthy carrot seed notes and ionones (violet/woody/tea/fruity notes).

I detect an overdose of Heliotropex-N (heliotropin replacer), further enhancing the playdough/cough syrup effect.

However, looking at the aroma artistically, when smelled from a distance, it can have a very cyberpunk/techy vibe, suggesting space age composite materials or AI-human synthesis.

But to put it plainly, it is a bit too futuristic and simplistic for me. Who is it for:
A person looking for an earthy yet gourmand, plasticky vibe with great projection and longevity. There will be no complaints with performance.

SwampSaddle

This one's my first ever sample from Prada's L'Homme line. The opening consists of a familiar iris in its solitary glory, then dries-down to sweet, earthy mids. Leather is prominent in its base but not overpowering, and it's perfectly complemented by the sandalwood. I don't get very much tonka in this one. A very nice scent for the fall and winter.

Shiam

One of if not the best iris scent out in the market.
Longevity 10hrs+
2-3 hours of good projection
The drydown is where this one really shines.
Iris done right

FakeNeew

Its definitely a "MUST HAVE" been using it for a while now, and i can only recommend it. Strong scent and beautiful smell.

memberofmayday1979

If someone thinks that Prada Lhomme Intense is a stronger version of Prada Lhomme, then they should not buy it. It's a completely different scent.
Beautiful, warm, attracting women.
Absolutely Must Have.

Northsmells97

I blind bought this fragrance because of the hype sorrounding it and I was sorely disappointed. This to me smells like a dusty glorified soap bar slowly melting in a brand-new luxury car's interiors. I used it literally two times at work and I was left absolutely nauseated by the smell. The iris is (of course) artificial and barely noticeable and the leather overpowers the whole fragrance. The thought of it alone makes my stomach turn 😅 I know I'm gonna sound exaggerated and hyperbolic, but if you really want the best iris scent on the market save up and go for either Reflection Man or Reflection 45; I am a proud owner of the latter and that is the stuff of dreams.
About L'Homme Intense I gotta say the longevity is monstrous tho, lasted for two literal days on my skin. Powerful stuff!

dayonee

The holy trinity of designer men's iris: Dior Homme Intense, Valentino Uomo Intense & this, Prada L'homme Intense.

If you are a fan of the OG, you'll like this better. Darker and heavier, great for evenings, but still has that Prada soapy freshness, making it wearable during the day and as a daily office driver. Elegantly powdery. Confidence boosting. Makes you double check yourself that you are clean-shaven, sharply dressed and ready to take care of business. And the dry down, f**k me, only gets better. Hard to describe but, if there is such a thing, it is a man's fragrance in the most immaculate way.

It is not as lipsticky as the Dior nor edgy as the Valentino. They all have their own vibes in an awesome way. Dior is a formal tuxedo in a Maybach. Valentino is a full-grain leather jacket on a Ducati. Prada is an european-cut suit in a Ferrari. No redundancy between them; didn't think I needed this considering all the iris focused scents I already had but this one went straight to the top. Don't hesitate to get this. Better yet, JUST GET ONE.

Watchesnscents147

I had a crazy experience with this. I blind bought the 100 ml edp bottle. And this thing here opened up my scent to whole new levels i'm kidding you not. It made me realize i like other stuff too and not only the regular chocolaty vanilla frags. First spray i get hit with the Iris and i also smell a little powder. Or maybe it's musk, i don't know but it's weirdly nice, it kinda smells expensive and it brings your mood up. But i was hoping that this wasn't all. And I was right, the dry down is where magic happens. Now the dry down is crazyyy. When the leather, tonka beans and sandalwoods blends in especially the leather oh my days. I didn't know i loved leather like this. All that blent in together smells so expensive and luxurious and the Iris and powdery scent takes a back seat. That smell right there is what i wanna smell forever. It's smells so masquline and unique, elegant, sophisticated and gentlemanly. Now the uniqueness in this is what make me think that not all men will like this. And that's fine and better for me, because i don't want this to become a mainstream frag. This frag smells like a 40 year old successful man with top tier sense for style and fashion. So i could see why younger men don't like this smell. With all that being said, i don't think this could be a mainstream frag. Because not all will get this. And it's fine. I get a little bit of patchouli in this and the amber in this is sweet. It blends in nice with the leather, tonka beans and the sandalwoods. Good projection for the first 4-5 hours then it becomes a very very good skin scent for a good 8 hours. Good longevity too, i got about 8-9 hours from this. Overall i'd say:

9/10.

Nursesrock

I blind buy this frangrance and it didn't disappoint me at all so Dark elegant and mysterious easy 9/10 for me 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Dancow

So, I have had this fragrance for a week now. Mine is produced by L'Oréal and the batch code is 22X41CC.

My first impression: all I could smell was a very sharp leather and a very sweet amber scent, which was a little bit too much for me and no powdery iris scent at all, I was at that moment very disappointed because I was expecting a nice powdery elegant iris fragrance à la the Givenchy Gentleman EDP & Dior Homme Intense, not this brute kind of fragrance.

Now, after letting it macerate for a week, the powdery iris scent has appeared. It tames the very sharp leather and the very sweet amber scent, and round them all inside the powdery scent, evolving this fragrance from its initial brute style to its current elegant, sophisticated and gentlemanly form.
This fragrance is more suited to be used at night, colder weathers.

This is a linear kind of a fragrance; what you smell at the start is what you will smell until its scent disappears.

Score: 8,5/10

Luigi408

Fantastic fragrance. Fresh, clean, sophisticated, and strong. Just like the OG this is a 10/10. One of the best designer fragrance that everyone should own. Loved it from the opening to the dry down.

Bayu Raksa

A Great Masterpiece 9,5/10.

Mortal7

I bought this one when my nose was already saturated after smelling too many different perfumes. As I usually tend towards citrus fragrances, I expected this Prada to be one of those that I would use very occasionally. Much to my own surprise, I now wear it daily. It’s true that the opening is short, projection and longevity are limited, but I still like it so much that I prefer to spray it on twice or 3 times daily versus other fragrances that I have which only need 1 application per day. Not everyone will like it, but I’m definitely not the only one who will make this their signature scent.

raymachengray

I get a sharp peppermint quality with this, like I’m smelling a tin of altoids. I love it, but confused on the notes. Wondering if anyone else picks this up?

haus36

I am a big fan of the original Prada l'Homme and Dior Homme Parfum. This is quite a nice middle ground but the amber and tonka make it it's own thing. This still has that powdery iris smell of a lipstick but with a twist. It is very masculine though.

Darkstar _ Destroyer

One of those fragrances that will always be in style. Timeless. Elegant. Masculine.

Bob R

Really amazing fragrance. I am a big fan of Iris/Orris/Powder scents and this one hits me right in my sweet spot. I think you could wear the Intense or the standard L'Homme day or night and all year round. I would not hesitate to recommend either as a blind buy.

User123

To me the best part is the opening. Afterwards it mostly smells like luxury soap.

I can't wrap my head around which one of this line is the best. I think I like the original and the Acqua one better.

alessandrolertora2000

The dry down is so so so good on this

pixel_junkie

Huge fan of Prada but this one is weird to me and I tried it several times. Opening is just off. Kinda get the deep dry down but still not worth owning or the hype.

Tiar@2003

7/10 smells too much like hair gel. I don't get the hype

ZiggySmellsGood

Iris fragrances were huge when I started collecting. This had no hype like the DH line and VUI . This was really underrated and affordable so I had to try it not knowing much about it . It was the best blind buy ever . This was one of my signature scents for years because it was well under a hundred dollars smelling like a million dollar fragrance . Also not many people where this. It is very clean and smooth but the Tonka bean and leather make it a darker scent . It is more masculine then DH and VUI in my opinion . The performance and silage is average on my skin but scent over all is beyond amazing and this can be worn not only casually, but on a date or other special occasions! Great for fall, winter and spring. This one is very mysterious so it’s great for a night out . This is One of my favorite scents of all time . Sadly it is discontinued but on the bright side it seems to still be easy to get but for $40 more then it used to be at discounters . It’s still worth every penny . I recommend this to any man that steers away from the Iris based frags for being to soft because this is a very masculine Iris fragrance .
10/10

Rob321x

Oh my goodness. I wish I bought this fragrance years ago. Dark & mysterious. Absolutely beautiful smelling (in a mans way). Has the OG l’homme DNA with a dark twist. One of the best fragrances I have ever smelled, prada is the best house in the game when it comes to unique fragrances.

torturedsoulboy

This is way more masculine, unique, mysterious, and attractive than Dior Homme Intense and Valentino Uomo Intense. It’s in my "cold weather top 10" and I consider it a masterpiece. Dress sharp while wearing this one of you can. Even if it’s just a dress shirt with rolled up sleeves, crisp dress pants and a nice watch.

Korleon55

The dry down is amazing.

Bicr

Okay, so been on an Iris kick, lately and just got this Prada L'homme Intense, today. I still like Dior Homme Intense, Valentino Uomo Intense and Narciso Rodriguez Blue Noir Parfum better... I still love this, too but it did not knock off Dior as #1.. For a real treat, try Dior Homme Parfum...

fragrantlyenhanced

it's really good. mature n professional, dark and masculine. it doesnt have the clean laundry vibe the regular l homme has. open blast of very powdery iris with LOTS of leather n hint of cigar. all the notes are built around the leather and amber but you can still notice everything else. cigar and iris from the opening linger for a while until it settles becoming a musky sandalwood. the base is strong. constant leather and sandalwood accompanied with strong amber warmth. once it dries a slightly sweet vanilla and creaminess of tonka take over. performance is great. silage is pretty good it creates a noticeable warm powdery woody leather cocoon around you. longevity is good. had lot of compliments wearing it. i thought it was discontinued but i still see it readily available.

JohnnyFriendly

Anyone else seeing this back on the Prada website?

markactor

Prada took every type of leather they could find, pulverized them into a powder then added their liquid DNA base. Ratio being 90% leather with hints of iris and tonka bean. That said, it's quite nice as I enjoy leather. But, ye be warned. It can be a lot to handle. Recommended for cooler months.

I utterly adore this fragrance. I often find myself sniffing the atomiser. I was a very heavy smoker until recently and now that my sense of smell has returned, this is the first fragrance I ever had where I was able to distinguish individual notes. This will always hold a place in my heart and I recommend to anyone. Is becoming hard to get hold of, so if you see it, grab it.

RayCashhhh

When I first received a decant, I wasn't impressed by L'Homme Intense at all. Trying it alongside the Dior Homme Intense and Valentino Uomo Intense, I thought it was easily the worst version of the iris-based men's fragrances. After spending more time with it, not only it has become my favorite, it's also a signature scent. I've come to appreciate it's smell and versatility.

Besides the iris I pick up the salty amber the most, an interesting and unique combination to my nose. After an hour or so, the leather and tonka bean come into play. A warm, sexy yet easy to wear scent, something that could be dressed up or down. Works with tuxedo as well as it does with a leather jacket. Prada L'Homme Intense will forever remain in my collection, as long as I can keep a bottle. If this is discontinued, it's a real shame, as this is a modern-day classic. 10/10

Whateverwhocares

Pleasant, addictive vanilla and Iris powder bomb. Amberous overtone. Tonka undertone. Dank and darker than the original.

Comes on strong and last a few hours before it tones down into a skin scent. 💣

Can be nauseating if you’re sensitive to powder.

Arvin090592

I have this its amazing it last long especially on clothes it smells different when it on clothes than in skin

justinmartini314

This is a very sophisticated nighttime scent. I would almost say that this is a very formal scent as it has a very upscale expensive smell to it. Very iris and leather heavy to my nose. It does smell very good but definitely only for colder weather. If I wore this in even slightly warm weather I feel like I would get a massive headache. It's one of those types of scents. It still smells ultra classy though. The con with this one is that because it's so classy smelling I don't know if I would actually were it that often. Definitely, a scent I would wear to more formal occasions. 8.5/10

ScentedAway

The slightest hint of iris, crushed under a brute quantity of leather. If you want a definition of a gigachad scent, this is it.

QUALITY.

hussrahal

Didn't know what to expect going into this purchase, was worried it would be redundant to DHI or Gentleman EDP.
But nope, whole different vibe and just as good. So sad this is getting chopped supposedly because this is a 10/10 fragrance.

Performance: I get an easy 3 hours of solid projection and 10-12 hours longevity, this stuff is always there, best Iris I own that performs this well!

vit_r

This is the first time in my experience that 'intense' corresponds to its meaning. First, it blasts an intense version of an original fragrance. After 5 minutes on my skin, it becomes a regular version of it, and just a bit stronger.

raj.kanaj

After owning this for years now i find i reach for it less and less.
Initially, it was one of my favourites in the collection with an amazing opening.
Its not a bad fragrance, its often sold as an "iris' scent.
The iris is only active at the start and is somewhat present through drydown. The drydown on me is just overpowered by the Leather. It would be nice if the leather wasn't so strong in this and the Sandlewood, Tonka or Amber was more active.
I do not enjoy the leather in this as much as other fragrances.
Try first, stick with Dior Homme intense or also see what other lines have if you're looking for iris as this could be more of a Leather based scent.

Thanks for reading.

istvan.buda.779

I wish dry down was lasted from the beginning to the end

defectedmonkey

If you have Dior Homme Intense I don't think you really need this. Not to say the fragrances are identical, but the dominant Iris note makes them very similar. The twist is in the dry down where you start to smell a very wearable patchouli/leather. It adds a bit more masculinity without ever coming across as dirty.
But this is what Daniela is becoming known for in the male perfume world. She makes slight tweaks to what is popular and creates something better.
Amber Intense: More wearable version of TF Noir
Luna Rossa Sport: cleaner version of JPG
Luna Rossa Black: cleaner version of Midnight in Paris
Luna Rossa Carbon: Less metallic version of Sauvage.
Zegna Intenso: More wearable version of Armani Code OG.
That being said this is still very much masterful perfumery that is deserving of praise.

gkanary

It is such an elegant, yet unassuming fragrance. Spectacular from beginning to end. Stylish with its black "suit of armor" but not at all ostentatious.
A Prada fragrance at its finest. The olfactory awoken in a very fine way.

Beautiful iris based fragrance with smoother leather & tonka..
For me best from Prada

This is a beautiful scent, sad that its been discontinued... It was my favourite scent since i discovered it in 2018... This one got me the most compliments

RGH01

Prada L’homme intense is a modern masterpiece and undoubtedly the best fragrance from Prada. It opens with a beautifully clean and powdery Iris complimented by subtle nuances of leather and tonka. It soon dries down to that signature Prada soapiness from the Iris, however with an added darkness and mystery.

Undertones of patchouli and amber add some depth to the scent however for the most part the fragrance is pretty linear. The performance is good and it gets great reactions from those around you due to is appealing and inoffensive scent profile.

This truly is one of the best iterations of Iris on the designer market, up there with the likes of Dior Homme Intense. It stays true to what the original Prada L’homme stands for, but with a much needed intensity for the colder months of the year. Such a shame that this is now discontinued as it was definitely the best fragrance Prada had to offer.

Abdur Rehman Khalid

I was looking for an iris fragrance and I tried this one along with Le male le parfum. This one's a bit too irisy for me. Doesn't repel me tho but to me, it's just straight up iris with no depth to it. Le male le parfum on the other hand is what a dark mysterious well rounded iris scent should be. Anyhow, this one would be much better with a formal attire, or at least that's what I made of it.

mattcross

One of the cleanest but dark fragrances I’ve ever owned. Got a pretty good deal on this from an outlet store of a department store so it was like £50 for 100ml so a decent steal especially for an allegedly discontinued fragrance. It opens fairly clean and powdery with a soft leathery patchouli. I adore the original, it is built in a similar way to my all time favourite Dior Homme Eau but with no citrus. This is impressive stuff, it develops on the original and makes it much more of a dark and sophisticated scent. This is very delicate but strong. Its gentle and yet is masculine and resilient. Some people may feel the fragrance is a bit cold and emotionless but it sort of feels like thats the point, its not harsh or overpowering but very masculine and strong. Its how a rich and heartless billionaire would smell, but despite this people seem to love it on me. The performance is so good, easily 10-12 hours and projection is an arm and a half's length. Its actually just very good. The original is for the office, its gentle and powdery and relaxing. This however is for big meetings, fancy dinner dates and in depth conversations, it has continuity with the original but has this cold professional and smoooooooooth undertone. I wear this on fairly cold evenings, its surprisingly versatile despite the cold professional vibe. Honestly just very pretty and charming.

Apache1830

2nd try

The opening is one of the best I ever smelled !

The only "problem" I see, is that the fragrance is linear, it doesn't evolves.
I think I can get bored of it

Clean, airy and dark

If I needed a second Iris fragrance after VUI, it would be this one. Very versatile, pleasing, elegant ... The only downside is the price

9/10

alexmare3

Superb fragrance! Had 3 bottles so far, 2 made in Spain and one made in France. There is absolutely no difference between the two options! Both perform for 9+ hours and the projection is huge for 2-3 hours! I recommend this perfume to anyone who wants to smell sophisticated, sligthy sweet, slightly earthy, clean and well put together! Masterpiece 10/10

(Brought, Blind buy, L'oreal made, 22UD1CE, December 2021, made in France)

Prada L'homme Intense is a significant shift and provides a difference profile than Prada L'homme.
While Prada L'homme is fresh, with Woody - Amber ambient. Prada L'homme Intense shift to Leather and Tonka
so it is much stronger than L'homme by a Big margin.

Iris still much play front roll, but the sweetness is really prominent.
And Leather here is really remind of Armani Code EDP. Except that Armani Code lacks Iris and sweetness.

Overall, this is not a competitor to Dior Homme Intense.
As Dior Homme Intense is still remains true to original just stronger.

This can be compeitior with Dior Homme Parfum only.
Overall, it is still sophiticate scent and can be accessible by younger audience as sweetness add the appearance to younger audiance.

How will I rate this?
8/10

I found Prada L'homme and Prada L'homme L'eau is better as vasitile - clean - iris dominant fragrance.

I love Prada L'homme, it's just beautiful. But this 'Intense' flanker though, just take it to another level. It's just AMAZING! To my nose, it is more intense than the OG with a hint of leather in it. The iris is there but not powdery as people mentioned. It's more like a fresher & brighter iris+leather take to it which is just NICE! And it leans more towards masculine rather than the OG leans unisex. It's kinda addictive too.

Beautiful! Just beautiful!
Chef kiss!

I absolutely love this cologne. But Can anyone comment on the difference between the Spain and France version? Because the original PL made in Spain has much better longevity than the new France version, I get over eight hours on the Spain version but only get 2 to 3 hours with the France, I’m just curious if the intense is the same way? thanks.

Urbanskis

Darker more spicy version of Prada L’homme. With the added notes of leather and tonka, It also improves on the performance.

btchem

This is my absolute favorite cologne ever made. It's my signature scent. I do really hope they are brining it back. I was just able to buy a bottle from Walmart and saw some on Amazon, which is a good sign that it's a little easier to find than it was. I also enjoy Prada L'homme and will be purchasing that for use in spring and summer. I think L'homme will be particularly great in spring!

Rohaan_A

My first frag review on fragrantica.

As a relatively new collector, this is my first iris scent in my collection and its pretty much how ppl explain it to be. Its well worth the hype. To my amateur nose, it smells clean, inoffensive, upscale and classy. Solid and safe blindbuy.

The BEST from the line hands down..
This is a masterpiece and an underrated gem.!!🔥
Wear this if you want to stand out from the crowd and the sweet fragrances out there.. This is luxury in a bottle..!! 😍it's clean, creamy, candy and sexy as hell..!!
A 10/10 and for life in my collection..!

It is not discontinued

Widely available on majority of websites and at retailers in UK and across EU

Came back from the dead.
Produced by L'Oréal now

Still absolutely phenomenal
Just bought a 150ml bottle (2022 L'Oréal made)

robertandsheilaburke

I have been wanting to get this one for sometime but because it is discontinued, I had to go to eBay to get it. I am not a big fan of buying from eBay but this person was highly recommended.
The scent is much like the original but but with a little more depth. I loved the original but thought it was a little too powdery. This flanker fixed the problem with balancing the powered with tonka and sandalwood and a touch of leather. I can see this one being a signature scent for all seasons. I will have to try it in the heat of the summer to see how it does, but if it is anything like the original, it will be just fine.

mo choudhury

it was never discontinued, it's just L'Oréal who has taken over. I'm guessing there was no stocks shifting while Prada was transfering to L'Oreal. 🤷🏾♂️
but the reason I'm here is because I want to ask about performance? some people are having performance issues with Luna Rossa black and I was wondering if it because of L'Oréal taking over?
I have all the old bottles of lhomme intense, amber line and luna black (puig made in Spain) and I have no issues with them.
I also have a back up bottle of lhomme intense, 2021 batch (L'Oréal made in France) the year L'Oréal took over if I remember, and everything seem fine.
but its now 2023 so was wounding if anyone has a fresh batch and noticed any issues? but it seems like one or two people have so far. 😕
we all know what happens when L'Oréal take over.
to be honest I am pretty surprised that L'Oréal hasn't discontinued the whole men's line like they have with mugler.
even shocked that they still producing one of my all time favourites, ysl opium pour homme.

Clay_N

Overall it is a nice fragrance. Sillage is ok, it mainly will be close to the skin in my experience.
It is a very iris forward scent with wood notes and I do pick up a touch of the patchouli and amber.
I gave it a 'like' because it is not quite as strong as I was hoping, but it is elegant.

spartaksci

My bottle dates 07/2022. And thankfully, still is an Iris bomb. Damn this smells great. The performance is beast too and that is something you can't say about a lot of pricy designers nowadays. This is a Hall Of Fame fragrance, just like Prada L'homme and Prada Amber Intense. So glad i got a bottle of this one.

seldomseen

Just bought 3 bottles yesterday. Doesn't seem to be discontinued in the SE Asia market. Due to the boutique having more than 20 bottles in stock. Production date is 2021-12.

DMDFRAGRANCE

bruuuuuuh, had this perfume for two weeks and it's amazing. My patient didnt want to leave the office, i had to tell them to go cause i was losing money. Incredible fragrance 10/10 would recommend. I need to try this outside the work to see if the women likes it, i can't rizz my patient I need my work.
Would not wear it in summer tho, it has the fresh soapyness of Prada L'homme but with more spice and depth thanks to the patchouli and tonka. Perfectly blended.
Based on Canada, it pierced through the cold and had a superb longevity. Could smell it even after work.
I got it thanks to Chaos fragrance, last time I checked it was still in stock at the Hudson bay so go get it!!

JJJJNATH

Its maybe the most underrated l'homme flanker between the og and eau, and performs te best among em all. It's the dark side of l'homme, it is neat while kinda naughty. It is black suit in a formal event while maintaining the happy and naughty vibe. It is l'homme and sweeter & richer. U can wear it formal or casual tho it was just my analogy, but defo not for sport vibe.

Lovingyourscent

It smells like candy—dark, masculine candy. The tonka bean note is responsible for the scent. I would call it "Prada Candy—for Men".

"Rather than being creamy-sweet, tonka bean has a more neutral sweet tone with nuanced notes of cinnamon spice, almond, cherry, and sweet hay."

Bluecollarfresh

Garbage. Not sure what the fuss is about. I guess i got lucky and obtained a rare puig bottle. 5.1 oz. Hate it. will never wear. bought off hype. Pure disappointment : /

mattcross

@joelt201 maceration definitely helps, i let my bottle macerate for a couple of months and already noticed an improvement in performance. this used to be a very faint fragrance and now it projects nicely with a soft bubble of scent around you. just seems to get stronger over time

joelt201

First off, I want to say this fragrance smells absolutely beautiful. Like many people say, this is the darker version of Prada L'Homme with the added leather which smells great in the cold weather. I saw some comments talking about the longevity, and I usually take it with a grain of salt since people go nose blind to fragrances. However, I can't seem to smell this cologne after 2 hours. I was so confused so I tested it again and it was gone so quickly. I asked my family after a few hours of spraying and they said they couldn't smell anything. I'm disappointed because I paid around $130 for a 3.4 oz bottle. Hopefully letting it macerate for a few months might help :(

ShaneL02

I think this fragrance is pleasant but that's literally it to me. Nothing interesting about this at all, original lhomme is so much nicer imo. Should have gone for that

Dirtyhoody

Best in the line. Hands down.

drummertama11

Rumor has it that it’s back from discontinuation 👀

Miidnightinlondon

smell rich and sophisticated. On me it projects extremely good (within an arm range), on skin about 8 hours, on clothes 4 - 5 days. I'm using the 3 bottle already. Great for temperature < 25'C

Arctic Archer

Excellently elegant, sophisticated, yet interesting scent. Perfect for almost any occassion in cooler weather.

For me, finding an interesting, yet elegantly restrained ”go anywhere” cooler weather scent has been a problem since original grade Dior Homme was discointinued some years ago. You know, I was looking for kind of scent that you grab without further thought. Just like you would grab your favourite pair of jeans and know, that you are ready to go. Or, if compared to music, play a top ten hit that is just easy to listen to.

However, due to its elegance, this is not a ”wear with jeans”-kind of scent. On the contrary. On my very conservative profession, where besoke navy blue suits, crisp white shirts and a Turnbull & Asser ties are the norm, this is absolutely perfect. Somehow, it just finds the right balance between something, that is interesting, restrained and elegant, yet not boring. Which is a hard to get right. With respect to jeans, work boots and trucker jackets kind of attire, I would prefer something like Gucci Guilty Absolute.

As for the scent, on my skin it opens up as powdery iris. Then, when it starts to mellow down after 15-30 minutes, the powdery scent still remains, although restrained. With respect to iris, that too remains, but sandalwood begins to rise to more prominence. After an hour or so, for me this remains as a powdery, soft, ambery sandalwood scent with a hint of iris.

As this has been compared to Dior Homme-family in many reviews, If I compare this to Dior Homme-family of scents with their signature iris, I would say that on my skin this is closest to Dior Homme Parfume, although, much tamed down and more prominen sandalwood after some time. With respect to Dior Homme’s current version (I do not own the 2021 DH ”Original” version), this is much softer and powdery. With respect to Dior Homme Intense, DHI is kind of different kind of scent, with somewhat smoother woodiness in the end and perhaps, more prominent iris on the drydown.

With respect to longevity, on my skin, about a working day. Which is fine.

As for the sillage, it is moderate. Arm’s length or so. Which is actually good for office. Not too prominent or ovewhelming.

All in all, a great scent. Elegant amd versatile. My current ”go to” office scent (for cool weather), although it could well be used in dinners and the like. Quite simply, one cannot go wrong wearing this.

SupZero

I am very disappointed with the new L'Oreal batches from 2022. 22W71CW. I had a Spanish Puig bottle from 2018 and performance is night and day. 2018 is much stronger and longevity is amazing. L'Oreal is not loud and performance sucks. Smells the same though, but who cares when performance is weak?

sagibence

This is my first review here, and I realyl wanted to say that it's definetly NOT DISCONTINUED here in Europe. I just got a batch 22W01CV which was produced 2022/10. The longevity is beast mode, it lasts 10 hours on my skin, and most fragrances doesn't last long on me. (Givenchy Gentleman EDP and Reserve Privé lasts 4-6 hours on my skin) And it projected the whole 10 hours to me strongly. First time I tested it on my hand, I still got strong whiffs after 8 hours with 2 sprays after 3 handwashes. Now about the scent, It really doesn't smell like Dior Homme Intense. The Iris here is more soapy and the whole fragrance smells more masculine thanks to the leather note, but floral for the same time. It's a really beautiful composition. I like the smell of DHI a little bit more, but i have a 2022 batch of that and it doesn't perform for me. (4-6 hours too) Prada L'Homme intense is more wearable though, it's the perfect elegant mans signature for the cold weather.

don00

I love the original EDT, have 2 bottles of it, decided to try the Intense version and was disappointed. It's like if you took the original and added essential oils to make it smell like medicine. Kind of reminds me of Vicks vaporub.

ivelino

Prada L'Homme intense is such a great release by Prada. It isn't a very long lasting fragrance, at least not on my skin and clothes, but it has the ability to lift my mood every time I wear it. Suitable for cold weather - it evokes warmth, change of seasons, sophistication. However, rumor has it, it might have been discontinued, and it's hard to find now...Recommend, if you can still find it - but wear it in winter /fall, early spring in cooler weather, this is when this fragrance shines. Enjoy!

Lilleham

I think this fragrance smells great but it is too imposing to wear in public.
My signature scent is Prada Amber Intense, which I also find unsuitable for public wear, but not for the same reasons.

Imagine a Victoria Secret nightie and you have something refined but too intimate and sexy to wear in public. This is Amber Intense.
Imagine a French Cancan petticoat and you have something flamboyant but too flashy to wear in public. You have L'Homme Intense.

EDIT: there is someting dirty in the drydown. I tested this fragrance on a clean, unworn shirt. The next day when I wanted to sniff the perfume on the cloth again, I smelled a very subtle sweat-like odor which disappeared with the next inhalations. I started again a few hours later and found the same thing. The leather note?

Brili

Magnificent!

Had it for like a year less, really love it, but not LOVE it until a friend of mine just asked for a spray or two to masked off his shirt from tobacco bad odor. GOD, it smells so good, I can't help but reminded of all the time I've been wearing these and how these smells this good from another person around. An Iris and woody notes combination, perfectly blended with tonka bean sweetness and soft patchouli nuances. Can't really detect any amber here. SPL is much better than the OG one. Versatile enough for you to use it anytime, just not the best choice out there for that job.

Oh, almost forget to mention, the leather here is slightly off putting for my taste but I know that it might be the one who actually makes it so good, like the cherry on top for a cake. I guess that's why I wasn't ridiculously liking it back then. Just don't sniff this right from your skin bcs the leather would just ruin the scent. It's just that GOOD when you smell it from the air.

Almost submit my review but I just remembered how this shared similar DNA with givenchy gentleman boisee. It's just that boisee doesn't has any leather in it and maybe a little bit woodier and perhaps sweeter, making it more youthful. I actually like boisee slightly more. However, those boisee SPL is just an utter trash so it would be much worthy if you buy prada instead of givenchy boisee.

NO RESEMBLANCE WITH DHI, even their iris smells completely different.

Theodore Trisveis

Keeps that fresh fabric softener with luxury touch from the original but takes to a more earthy leathery direction.

YannisPapadopoulos

Probably the most wearable Iris fragrance in the market, and it can really shine in any situation. It could be a tad bit difficult in the summer, but still passable if you'd have it as a signature scent.
I hadn't worn it for a while and coming back to it felt like I'm smelling super expensive.
Scent-profile: you could throw this in a similar category/usage type as "Fierce" / Montlblanc Legend, and even Pegasus PDM. But more upscale/dressed up, and with added smooth iris. On top of everything, it really lasts long (about 8-10h to my very demanding skin) and projects decently too. 6-10 sprays max would be enough for hours on end.

I can't imagine a person not liking this, and it's still unique enough to my nose.

jlog23

Soapy leathery iris. The leather is very light though. Not as dark as I thought it’d be because the amber, patchouli, and tonka are also on the lighter side and not thick and dense. My bottle is relatively new (2 months) and made in France. Absolutely no relation to DHI.

Trueblood84

I was super excited to finally find a bottle of Prada lhomme intense. I expected a more masculine version of the already legendary Prada lhomme. I was very surprised upon first spray to find this to be more unisex leaning than the og or leau, I find it to be more powdery and much heavier than the others. That's not to say this isn't an amazing fragrance because it is. There is something about the Prada lhomme DNA that just works for me so well. I get a compliment virtually every time I wear any of them, and this one seems to get the most out of the line. It just smells... heavenly... performance is top notch as well it fills a room, lasts forever, and leaves a beautiful scent trail wherever you go. Id give this a 10 but I like the leau flanker Better, so I give this a 9.5 out of 10

mikeypodd06

This might just be my favorite fall/winter time scent. It's classy, elegant, and mysterious all at the same time. A+

Swiftnick

I have a new batch 6/2022 and it performs great, this is up there with Dior homme intense as my favourite iris scents🔥🔥

Maliken

It still has that professional smell of the original Prada L’Homme that makes it great for an office scent outside of the hottest months. Less sterile than the original, adding a touch of darkness in the base. More exciting while still maintaining that clean, soapy vibe.

Guest2563

Good pleasant but slightly uninteresting to me. Like Mozart

Sam1973

One of my absolute favorites. Similar to the original L'homme with the soapy, creamy iris note Somewhat thicker, sweeter and creamier with a subtle smoky nuance. Still not a heavy fragrance and quite versatile. I know most think of it as a fall/winter scent but can be easily worn in the spring and even cooler summer nights as its not a dense or heavy fragrance to my nose. Perfect for the office as well as long as you don't overspray (but that applies to most fragrances). Great longevity too.

Scentence1991

I managed to get a bottle before it’s been completely sold out everywhere given that it’s now discontinued, or so it’s been said.

My very first Iris forward scent was Dior Homme Intense 2020, at first I was not a big fan of these clean or often called “lipstick or makeuppy” fragrances but they have grown on me, so much so that I now own L’Homme Intense and Hugo Boss The Scent/Le Parfum, both Iris based fragrances.

btjohnston

A beautiful spicy fresh iris with lovely smooth leather sandalwood that lasts for-EVER on my skin - up to 24hrs. On clothing this lasts for weeks. I find it too powerful for really warm days, but my gosh it's heavenly on the cooler ones and evenings. Projection is strong so don't go overboard with the sprays. This is easily one of my favourites in my collection, and with rumours of discontinuation I picked up a spare bottle. As others have said, this is magic juice, uplifting, hypnotic, classy, sensual, elegant, and leaves a scent trail like a finger that beckons "come hither".

gpeire12

I love Prada L'Homme Intense by Prada. I got lots of compliments everytime I wear this perfume. It's classy and elegant, love the Iris, tonka beans and amber notes in it. Well suited on formal occassions during autumn and winter time. For overall performance I give it a 9.5 out 10.

Steven Duboss

So far my favorite fragrance in my small collection.Prada l'homme Intense has an expensive fresh Iris scent with a smooth leather note in the background that truly compliments this Frag. In higher temperatures it can be a little too much almost nauseating because of the leather note. However it's perfect for night time wears and cooler temperatures. Looking forward to buying the OG version.

Overall scent: 9.5/10
Overall performance: 8.5/10

Robusto

Year-round stunner. Not even close to DHI!

The notes have been broken down a hundred times below so I won’t get into that. This is a very elegant and uplifting fragrance that is well worth the cost. For some reason I think of a more refined Joop Homme when I smell it off my skin. Perhaps it’s the tonka? Who knows?

Easy blind buy and inoffensive. Not much of an office scent….more casual and formal. Great longevity and complement getter!

Cheers!

3 SPRAYS AH DAY

BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL FRAGRANCE AND NOT 1 REGRET

DaveCave

For my money, there might not be a better smell, this thing is Amazingly wonderful! Truly just work of art to me! Buy it if you can!

BeerusSama

Masterpiece. This stuff smells incredible. The more it develops, the better it smells. They compare this to Dior Homme Intense... not even close, DHI is terrible in my opinion. Prada L'homme Intense is infinitely better. Sweet, leathery, woody, and a bit smokey, with an iris note in the background, not overpowering it like in DHI. Performance is very good, 8+ hours, and projects nicely. 10/10 fragrance. Perfect for cooler weather.

stalal

This is great, but so is every other flanker of Lhomme, varying states of spicy, Irisy, powdery goodness. Don’t pay extra for discontinued bottles.. Buy the OG Lhomme and that should be suffice. I have OG, Intense and Absolu, and all are fairly interchangeable!!

mohk

Very classy and elegent,,,will take this over the original every single time...starts unisex then becomes more masculine,,,don't let the leather note scare you,,,this is very fresh and wearable, it just has depth..

La Nuit Noir

Nighttime version of the original!

Iris but with a distinct tonka sweetness. Not soapy, but clean & sweet.

Smells very similar to the original but replaces the soapiness with added darkness. So I see this as a great fragrance for if you love the original and want a darker/deeper version, or that DNA but less suited for an office and more for casual/night out use.

oldschoolvibes

Found a new, sealed 2017 100ml bottle locally on Facebook marketplace for £50. Bargain!

Will be wearing this a lot over the course of this Autumn and Winter.

4dri3n

Ever so slightly more mature and formal leaning than the original, to my nose. I couldn't decide which one I liked more. I believe the original is a tad more versatile so if I had to pick one I'd probably go for that. But both of them are so good and just about different enough to warrant double dipping.

1nexorable

I have both DHI and PLI and I can't smell any similarities after 30 minutes. L'homme intense smells more professional masculine while DHI smells masculine, inviting and warm. Love both tho and I don't mind lipstickiness but be aware that you should try it before you buy it because it may not be the best blind buy. Oh and this thing doesn't come off. I sometimes work night shifts and I like to spray something gourmand. 5 sprays of Prada at 10 am and 11 hours and a shower later it's still there. Good stuff!

Hamdii

Similar to DHI but not the same. While DHI is like the older mature brother that has his own business , L‘Homme Intense is like the younger brother that’s in his clubbing phase . L‘Homme Intense is more playful, relaxed and sweet is what I want to say.

EauDeBaldy

Very enjoyable and inoffensive. This intense is a more heavier, darker version of the original it seems where as the original is bright and lively.
Nice Iris and powdery ( but not overly done, I hate baby powder fragrances... this one is just well balanced with it )
To put it simply, L'homme for the day, Intense for the nights ( and cooler times like the fall/winter )

An easy buy.

AsifK17

Honestly, about the most upset I’ve been with a fragrance. I liked the Iris in DHI when I got it onto skin for a trial and was informed this was more of an everyday work scent with a similar dna but the reality of it couldn’t be more different. The opening is a horrendously overpowering and headache inducing powder bomb. Within 30 minutes the fragrance is gone, fragrances don’t tend to react well with my skin as is but I’ve had longer projection from much lower concentrations and supposedly lower quality scents than this. Luckily for once I didn’t blind buy and did get a sample of this but it’s going straight in the bin. Absolutely not happy and expected better from such a respected and well known line.

FragStar

Opens with a very lipsticky iris, steeped in powder. The background of tonka and leather does work well in the composition and provides a sturdy foundation. A dusty patchouli is constantly present and gives the fragrance a unique feel. Without doubt a masterpiece of an iris fragrance.

sigginator06

A big NO for me.
So sticky and powdery that i felt sick when wearing it for a longer period.

Catacal

So actually I got this after getting a spray on the arm, smelt it and was just off put by it. I've left a short review on this one a little while ago where I didn't put it down but I just couldn't wrap my head around the scent. But anyways I essentially blind bought because 1. its prada 2. I don't have anything like it in my collection and 3. the odds of finding it again locally would probably be near impossible. So anyways after buying like 4-5 other frags of varying different extremes I feel that I was ready to give this one another go.

So what are my thoughts.

The opening of this after spraying is way over the top, like almost headache inducing for me. Sorry not sorry, most definitely something I myself would avoid smelling directly. However maybe some of yous might like it. Getting whiffs of it from sileage is different. Like fresh out of the dryer with a slight manly floral scent? I assume its the iris and then everything else that follows. I'm very on the fence with this, probably because I'm not used to the profile of this scent and I kinda wish I could get a sample its predecessor Prada L'homme to compare. Not giving this one a complete write off because I know its got potential.

aroutis

I actually blind bought an 150ml bottle cause I could not get my hands anything else.
My first reaction was "big mistake" as there was a prominent lipstick essence in not just the opening but after the dry out as well.
However I let it macerate for 4 to 5 days and the next time I tried it , reluctantly I might add , the experience was quite different, as the iris was prominent, as well as the amber and the patchouli, and in a much lesser degree rhe leather, the Tonka beans were also there.

I love this fragrance, you don't need to spray more than say 3 to four times at most. It stays on you for hours and makes a nice bouble.

After all said and done, good thing I got the 150ml after all !

kristiananthony

Wear this when it's cool and raining outside. You'll smell deadly!

Mackadonia

Great for a cooling and cloudy day. I walked around my home and asked my mother what is smelling so good and it turned out she was wearing this (a decant I gave to her as a gift).

The sillage smells like you are in an upscale shopping mall or hotel. I prefer this over the Edt version. It is more pleasing and it somehow reminds me of the dry down of Wild Cherry by Mancera.

lwhaymand

An improvement on the original l'Homme. Intense retains the soapiness of the original, but offers something more sensual and evening appropriate. The clean iris is present, but the amber and tonka give this something more attractive. I don't smell leather really, and this does still smell unisex to me. Where DHI has a strong cedar note to give a masculine backbone, this does not. If you want something cleaner than DHI, but less work-like than Prada l'Homme, this could work. I think you'd need to dress up well to avoid this smelling too feminine.

TuxFragrance18

Absurdly high quality. Based on the quality alone you would think it was a niche fragrance. It smells clean and sophisticated and it has very good performance. It smells a little bit like a woman's makeup bag, but its still masculine. The best rainy day fragrance. Personally I found that it works better when applied to cloathing. I also found that it lasts longer in environments with higher humidity (when applied to cloathing). It's price is on the higher end of designer fragrances, but I beleive that the price value is ok.

Danitom

Very unique and pleasant masculine fragrance. Iris is a dominant note and the fragrance is pretty much linear. Although it reminds me a little of my mom's makeup bag when I was a kid, it nevertheless smells masculine. I think this can work for any occasion but it leans more formal and more mature (not a teen's fragrance... mid-20s at least). I hear it's been discontinued. What a pity to see it go. Worth getting a backup bottle.

Update: Smells great but doesn't last. After 2-3 hours, it's a skin scent. After 5-6 hours, can't smell a thing. Maybe it's my 2021 formulation. I hear that earlier batches performed quite well. Still worth getting if you can find it but now discontinued. What a shame.

Steveo7389

Never smelled it before, heard the reviews were great. Big fan of the prada l'homme line. Just bought 100mm bottle for $120 on fragrancenet.com. I saw a Facebook ad for it, i clicked on it and it let me buy it. Im familiar with fragrancenet. I buy from there alot, i was skeptical Because its fb lol. I took the chance though. I type in the order number on the actual website and it does pop up. The only weird thing is it's not shipping from the usual warehouse in NY. Its shipping from Georgia. Worst case scenario I'll return it since it does pop up on the fragrancenet website. 🤞

Fleamino

Absolutely stunning! The iris is just fantastic in this fragrance. Dark, elegant and sophisticated. This is something Batman or Don Draper would wear. On me it last easily 12+ hour.
