You need to give this one a chance before you judge it. Admittedly, I was much too harsh on Faqat Lil Rijal when I first reviewed it. So much so, that the original review was deleted. This one takes time and patience to understand. You definitely need to test this on skin and let it dry down a good 30 minutes before making your judgement.

The first 5 minutes of spraying this on, it comes ripping out of the gate looking and smelling like Seabiscuit - barnyardy and a little fecal. But once this horse settles into its race, it is a thoroughbred race winner. The sweet saffron, bright bergamot, and floral jasmine pull into the lead, while the oud note becomes much more tame, with rich spicy and deep woody elements. The oud is of incredible quality, and does not smell synthetic at all to my nose. About an hour or so is where the most fantastic, rich, and deep leather note comes to the forefront. It's like pressing your nose into a brand new custom made leather jacket. This is full stop the best damn leather note I've ever smelt.

Rasasi, how do you make a fragrance of this quality? How do you make a fragrance of this quality for under $30 USD (at the time of writing this)? How do you stay in business, or even make any money whatsoever?

Faqat Lil Rijal is a magic trick. An impossibility. It's an oud lover on a budget's dream. If you can jockey this racehorse, it'll be a win every single time.

Purchased it based on the various, rather positive, reviews and I must admit I am happy I did.
This is a tamed version of SA Dehn Al Oudh Malaki which represents for me the pinnacle of pure oudh smell.
This composition is superbly blended with a fine, calming, rose onto which a mildly harsh leather sits in a powdery form. The fragrance is strong and lasts long on my skin. Eternally on cloths.
It is a calming vibe. Will not plese every nose, certainly not the oudh skeptics.
The presentation is barely acceptable, with a fake metallic bottle, made of apparently weak plastics. The juice comes in a 50ml size, though the container gives the impression you are holding a full +100ml jar.

This is is a 4 season fragrance, as oudh should be, though I recognize western culture will find it inappropriate for usage in warmer seasons. Totally unisex for me, but again we associate this smell to masculine gender. A nivce gem from Rasasi.

I strongly sugest oudh lovers to also consider SA Dehn al Oudh malaki,

At first glance I felt the bottle and was kinda skeptical of the quality...but, after spraying it on skin, I was hooked! This is a great leather/oud fragrance quite similar to ombré nomade at a way lower price. Will definitely continue to be a frequent dumb pickup.

xillage

Ombre Nomade vibes. This one is oriental, incense opening with woody sweet and spicy accords. And to give it a real oud touch you can layer it with any natural Oud EDP or Attar.. Pretty mature fragrance, suitable for above 35 age.

glakatos

I didn't like it at first sniff, but I have to admit that for it's price it is a masterpiece. Surely dividing, but a true gem.

In the opening some green nuances and a little bit synthetic but quite pleasant, slightly fecal animalicity appears. Although the drydown is far better. On my skyn the saffron and the geranium dominates, with dark, resinous woodiness.

The end of the scent is dominated by a pretty generic sweetish, musky oud note. Probably completely synthetic, but at least very persistent. On clothes staying for days. Or weeks. True gem of chemical engineering.

Oldspice

If you are used to western style ouds this might be a shock to you. It's a skanky oud leather scent. It has the animalic feel for me (barnyard, zoo, etc). This isn't really my style but I still kind of like this one. It's better for me than similar ones like Montale Cuir D'Arabie.

The bottle is cheap feeling and oddly large for 50ml of fragrance. It feels like plastic that is plated with chrome over a smaller glass bottle.

afaninc

Very beautiful scent good for biggners who understands the Aoud or oud what ever you say boht are same word.
Personally I love this because I love Oud.
Oud is the king

vbs221

The most authentic smelling Cambodian oud fragrance I’ve smelled, and believe me, living in Saudi Arabia, I smelled a lot including aged real oud oils that go for $900 per 3ml. Rasasi themselves sell Cambodian oud oil for $53 per 3ml called “Dhaneloudh Combodi.”

This smells pretty close to it, maybe with a bit of leather and some saffron. I’d say the rose is minimal—it’s mostly saffron. But it smells so smooth and real, yet very projecting given it’s a perfume as opposed to oil. Really, anyone will mistake you for wearing expensive oils.

It’s an excellent way to smell like a very premium middle eastern man (or woman imo). If you don’t like this, don’t bother going into more expensive oud oil, because they only get skankier the higher the price goes.

Priteshchhajed369

I totally agree with @phonepotato The more I wear it more I like it......it's great intermediate oud fragrance...if you want to have real oud experience buy this...I believe this one is a mass pleaser people will surely ask you what you are wearing... feels really luxury

PhonePotato

The more I wear it the more I like it. At first it was challenging but I’ve slowly warmed to it.
It has this sweet, tart, leather core that reminds my of Tuscan Leather but the Oud and other notes take it to a very different and unique direction.

Aban Usmani

Gorgeous rose-saffron-Cambodian oud blend for agarwood beginners. Great longevity but poor projection. Though it's worth the price for those looking to (only personally) enjoy an authentic oud note (though not the skanky Indian wood but the sweeter Cambodi one). I would suggest Ajmal's Dahnul Oudh Moattaq over this for those looking for refined Cambodian oudh blends as EDP.

elight_l

A gentle version (but no less potent) of LV Ombre Nomade or Montale Starry Night, probably closer to Starry Night as the geranium / honey-like note in it while beautifully balancing the woody note. Oud is not the protagonist and for a moment I thought I smelled mint as well. Overall, fresh/clean, more suited to a more formal attire or occasion.

farrukh.fida

I just blindly bought this fragrance. I wasn't at all any fan for oud as whatever i have tried. Earlier was pure synthetic and cheap quality, so as per my imagination i am not liking oud.
But this fragrance proved me wrong, when i 1st applied i just fell in love with it very quality ingredients have been used.
Longevity sillage is strong.

Drfrag

Not a beast mode fragrance. It is slightly barnyardy but not animalic. Stays on skin for long time but projection is not great. Quality of ingredients is high. Overall a good quality Indian Oud, saffron, sandalwood and patchouli fragrance for below $30. Doesn't smell cheap or synthetic. Much better than many designer grade Oud fragrance.

kentabatinga

A bit medicinal at first but not at all animalic on me (too bad cuz animalic is the reason I bought it). It does not scream out from my skin at all, very well behaved, but it's bottle worth for the price. Not an oud bomb like some reviewers claim to be. If you want a tad of middle eastern vibe for a good price, this is a good option.

Zygoptera

I agree with the reviews that say this is an animalic, skanky, barnyard-oud. It is masculine and concentrated. This is not for a first timer / someone who isn't used to oud. From the batch I got the performance is really good, it projects a lot and lasts forever.

**Also, I found that if you spray this on your clothes at night and then wear them in the morning- the animalic note is gone, and you are left with a nice sweet smelling oud the entire day. It's smells SOO good when used like this, and I will probably only use it this way from now on!

Tazahr

it is funny how this amazing oud rose fragrance can smell very authentic while it costs 20$. This makes you question the need to pay 200$+ to get the same experience.

This smells original and expensive for a fraction of the cost.

Needless to say it is very oriental and for middle eastern style ouds lovers

alfrued

It is a recreational oud bomb

Capturing only the medicinal harsh notes, not for my taste and not worth it if you are familiar with good quality oud perfumes.

marto7777

I just got this today.

I purchased it because I thought it could be an alternative to Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade,
but to me it has nothing to do with LV.
It is more similar to Montale Aoud Night, without the medicinal oud that Montale has in the begining.

However, it is a very good fragrance for the price.
Only two hours have passed since I sprayed it, but even after taking a shower, I am able to smell it from my arm.

arteditors

nice fragrance but weak. I don't know about you all claiming to be a room filler it is not. moderate sillage moderate longevity. OudSan's review is correct. it is strong at first then it settles down. Habit Rouge EDT for comparison lasts longer and has more sillage. So... not a second bottle, if you buy them they should at least have some presence, if not bye bye. it's a bye bye.

DaniloRod

The recreation of oud in this one is incredible. It smells very authentic and the blending is marvelous, but I think you have to be in middle eastern fragrances to appreciate it.
At first, I thought there was a rose note, but reading the pyramid there's none of it, so it must be the geranium, which is something totally new for me. Cardamom and saffron are very noticeable the first hour, then they settle down.
I'm not sure if the leather is part of the oud accord but in the drydown is more prominent. Very soft type of leather, like velvet.
Excellent performance. It smells incredible for its price.
This is how oud should be recreate it and not that faint horrible attempts from western houses, in my opinion of course.

At this price point, only Ajmal can beat Rasasi. A bargain.

Finerthngsinlife

One of worst fragrance i have ever tried .It is torture to wear this first a few hours. a synthetic mess.i can’t believe it has been hyped so much.if you are into this type of scent try arabian oud woody style. It is much better, smoother and actually enjoyable to wear

Kristoffer1

Sexy, masculine fragrance!
Wood and leather. Great for evening occasions or perhaps and afternoon soirée. The longevity is fantastic and silage of about 6’ aura of masculinity. This is the best bang for your buck I’ve seen in some time. 👍

tj218357

Great Rose/Oud combo, last about 8 hours for me. (3 hrs projecting, 5 close to skin) Opening is all Oud (Medicinal) with a sweet undertone which settles down to a nice Sandalwood and Rose. Closest niche comparison I can give is Bond No. 9 NY Oud.

MrMarkuson

An Oriental Oud/Rose (Geranium) combo but with an animalic way, the geranium smell like a watered musky rose slightly sour, I got the same rose vibe as Black Incense from Abdul Samad Al Qurashi but this one is way better for me, 100% oriental fragrance, definitly not for everyone in my opinion, very good longevity and sillage but I think that the performance can be change with the weather, better for cold days.

A must have from Rasasi.

My rate: 8,5/10 (I will certainly buy an other bottle when this one was empty)

Ajaysinghchauhan

Let me put it this way. If you're from the west or you have a western taste in perfumes this is going to be a bit of a challenging smell to get used to, right off the bat. However, this is a nice Oud scent. Animalic Oud and not your regular sweet rosy oud. It's more boozy than it is smoky.

PerfumedParrot

Great quality for the price, but it’s just not interesting enough. It opens with a strong bandaid oud (which I find off-putting) but then it calms into a rose-oud combo that’s still slightly medicinal. I don’t like its clinical, metallic accord that it retains throughout. The cold silver bottle suits this scent. I sprayed it before bed then 8/9 hours later it wasn’t detectable on my skin anymore.

daveugber

The opening is horrific unless you like the smell of sour wood freshly sawed. It settles into a beautiful, dry-sanded agar. Really hard to work through the opening, but the reward on the back side is quite nice. Better hide from the ladies for the first 35-40 minutes after spraying, though.

wasifrezawr

An excellent interpretation of Oud in a very inexpensive bottle! Anyone who wants to start their venture in the world of Oud has to try this from the house of Rasasi.

Siddharthnair

Not sure how nobody else has mentioned this but this somehow reminds me of Armani Prive Rose D'Arabie. I know that FLR doesn't have any official rose notes but I think the geranium and patchouli kinda tricks my nose into thinking this has a jammy rose note to it.
The performance isn't the greatest considering the heavy hitters in the note breakdown, but not the worst either. Gives me a decent longevity of 8 hours with 2 hours of above average projection and moderate sillage.
Definitely not a day fragrance, neither would I recommend this for the summer heat. Can be annoyingly sweet but a beautiful night time, winter scent that can may not garner many compliments but will definitely keep you cocooned in a warm embrace and then some!!
A solid cheapie this one!!

MartinFord

Just recieved it and sprayed it once.
Reminded me of Ombre Nomade, so this one is a love for me.
I'm just afraid projection isn't that good, will see.

FreddyK

Smells expensive, manly and sophisticated. First of all I was afraid to spray it on my hand. My father who loves classic US/EU designer fragrances sprayed it first. And ?! He liked it ! I was shocked. My mom also thinks it's a very nice perfume...What the hell ? But what about me ? Do I love it or nah ? Guys, this is a straight LOVE to me. Love this frag. 10/10 Rasasi. You did it again.

Agnesca

Ok, I have to say first that this is anything but only ofr men. I think this fragrance is just as unisex as any other oud based fragrances either western designer or oriental. I also want to note at the very beginning that after the first minutes this fragrance strongly reminds me on Coriandre, certainly not in the detailed notes and tiny nuances that are very different but the overall impression is similar according to my nose: they share the special take on the rose note (here it is supposed to be the geranium) that is sharp and fresh spicy here, in Coriandre it is rose + coriandre, obviously. The spicyness makes this fragrance rather fresh bbut not in the western citrusy way and this is a good point. Unfortunately I can not really detect as much saffron and cardamom as I hoped for, on my female skin the rose-geranium is the most prominent and dominant note from til the end. No leather either. If I wasn't supposed to say that this is an oud based fragrance i would say this is a classic chypre by French perfumery (this immediately puts this fragrance in the unisex chategory, too) with some, but not too much oud. Now I may have a very new batch that has been reformulated. I've read and seen reviews talking about this fragrance being an oud bomb. No, it's not and it's not that animalic either for those who have ever smelt animalic ouds. If there's anything like that in this fragrance it is in the opening only and last only a few seconds or minutes.
To sum it up: I think this is absolutely unisex despite the name and marketing. I can see how manly it can be on a man but trust me, this is also very appealing on a woman, too. I don't know how it relates to oriental traditions but it can be compared to Couturier's Coriandre from the western perfumery, therefore it can be seen as a rather classic type of scent for western customers that can be either a good thing if you want to wear this without offend anyone or a bad thing if you would prefer to stand out with the originality of your fragrance.
Longevity and projection are both very good.

Fragranceluva4u

I’m reminded a bit of Montale Black Oud when wearing this. It’s less spicier than MBO but shares a few similarities. For the price I’m extremely impressed. Some of the reviews would have you running for the hills to get away from Faqat Lil Rijal but it’s actually a very pleasant fragrance.

Overall rating 7/10

Don Pitralon

Initially, you can smell a bit of animalic oud from up close for about 10 minutes, but no need to be afraid, afterwards it settles into gorgeous manly heavy oriental. It reminds me Bvlgari Onekh, maybe a bit less sweet. Onekh is a beastmode luxurious fragrance, one of my all-time favourites. At 35 USD, rest assured that Faqat is worth your every penny.

Edit: The resemblance to Onekh was more a mental memory than a real thing. Side by side they are quite different. On the other hand Faqat is still a very nice scent. Unfortunate thing is the performance which turned out to be a big letdown for me. The scent is gone in 3 hours tops. Alleged monsterous projection is a thing of past and does not apply for new batches. I still think it is worth the money, unique for western nose, just wish it had a bit more lasting power...

pr0phecy

Excellent perfume very masculine and one of my favourites. Smells expensive considering the price. I completely agree with @OudSan and @Sameeruddin Ahamed's opinion, the performance is a let down. I think it is not that long lasting as earlier reviews suggests. Just average longevity maximum 3 hours even on the cloths.

Same for 'La Yuqawam Homme'. Seems they have diluted the concentration of recent batches as part of cost cutting.

SeanAA

Of all my collection, this is the deepest, richest, skankiest, barnyard-iest and, somehow, cleanest and most pleasant. The greatest reward lies in wait for those who can push past the challenging opening of this fragrance.

Ab82

Totally agree with the reviewer below... Just bought Ambergris shower and la yuqawam homme.. Feb 2020...and they are shit.. Zero performance not even for an hour....
Now they are reveling their colours.. Well deserved tag of cheap copy makers.... Lost my trust...

I used to love rasasi relations.. Never coming back

Sameeruddin Ahamed

As ture to some review, especially after 2019, everything is fine but except the performance, complete Alcoholic blast in the opening explains that it been fully diluted to the core.
Extremely good fragrance, but what do to do with LONGITIVITY of maximum 3 hrs, also THE SILLAGE is for 1 hours within 1 meter radius.
RASASI PLEASE DISCONTINUE THE PRODUCT IF YOU CAN'T GIVE THE SAME QUALITY AFTER YEARS DUE TO COST. Shame.
I lost my hope on rasasi due to such cost cutting strategy.
MY batch Date : Feb 2019.

yousif_dia

Its very heavy oriental oud perfume , for me its so sore and heavy that i couldnt wear it at all, it can be worn in very special occaisons at night only , the performance is superb in both siliage and longivity , but the creation is not so unique.

Edit:
After trying it more times i started to love it , just dont over spray maybe one or two sprays will be enough and its great for layering with fresher scents .

Eau de Me

You can say as, it is the very intense version of Encre Noire A L'Extreme Lalique.
At the initial spray you get a blast of sweet dark rose, frankincense, musk and oud.
After 20 minutes the initial blast, calms down and in the surface comes black pepper, frankincense, sweet cardamon, leather, oud, musk and a hint of sweet lemony in the backround.
After two hours you detect black pepper, frankincense, sandalwood, cardamom in a warm sweet spicy base.
A very manly edp for cold weather and open space rooms, just as to fill the air with this perfume.
It is heavy and loud. The nuclear version of Lalique Encre Noir, maybe in a better way because it is sweeter and because the discreet presense of cardamom and the balance in general of this linear smell.

Usman Khan7

Look at the graph of longevity, how users have voted this.A master Piece of dark and mysterious fragrance, not for young chaps from 15-25.

123Vitt

usually the perfumes are constructed with notes of head, heart and tail, in this case only head and tail united and equal ..... feel it in a way at the beginning and remains so until the end: the composition, as far as I feel, consists of a drop of citrus, ambergris and synthetic oud...let's be clear, it is a fragrance worthy of note, evolves little, I feel minimal and spartan but with great personality, persistence more than good and wake that leaves indelible trace .... is a touch with escape into the world of Montale at a fraction of the price ..... work to consider

koh85

not beast mode as most users claim it to be. I like it but I won't be buying another bottle due to performance.

MrEleven1181

This really is a great fragrance cost under £20 and great projection and long lasting oud scent what more could you want

SniffingStu

This is a dark scent, I imagine the juice being black or very dark purple. The oud accord is very two dimensional but tastefully done, ultimately having a very tannic, leathery vibe which is bolstered by a rather nice saffron note. It's the best part of the composition. Equal in stature is a floral accord, with geranium/rose/jasmine notes, which smell reasonably fresh and slightly juicy. The Achilles heel of this blend is the patchouli, which is harsh and dry, and to me really clashes with the previously describe notes, as well as a musk which seems to stand on it's own, wanting to tie it together but never getting there. The heavy handed combination ends up having an industrial vibe rather than a skin scent. Also, this is not so masculine as the name suggests. The prominent floral bouquet would be best pulled off by an intense woman, like Grace Jones

Redfordead1001

If you like barnyard oud this is a must have especially if your at a designer level enjoyment of perfume and haven't ventured into niche perfumery yet.

Good performance and longevity as would be expected from this kind of eastern fragrance.

Absolute classic from Rasasi especialy if you like oud.

TheRealGentleman

Unlike Tom Ford's refined Oud, this scent was scraped from a well seasoned cowboy's boot, collected from Goliath underwear, and drew from Sasquatch armpits.

It is the nectar of masculinity. Raw, rich, intense, strong, long lasting and loud! One spray would most likely be sufficient.

Don't be fooled by it's name "only for men". If you're a woman you can pull this off, people won't think you're manly on any form or shape... But they might start calling you "Delilah", the hardcore, dominant, seductive and imposing wife of Samson himself!

sergiu.lauriuc

This is so strong i can feel it from outside the 1ml sample i last opened 3 weeks ago. The smell is somewhat sweet.

aronmay

This is very very similar at the dry down to Mancera Aoud Line!!
And the "oud" in that is again similar, just it's at the beginning, and it's so much stronger. I like it, but not my girl relatives.
It is strong, it lasts. It is a pricier Rasasi but still 2/3 cheaper than Mancera's one.
It is good. Very good. Challenging at the beginning, but it's very good :)

kcholakov

Just got my bottle. Smells great, my girlfriend likes it very much too. No barnyard or something like that. Awesome scent. However...this is very weak in performance. I expected much more, considering everything written here and all the reviews in youtube. Mine is from batch Jun 2018. I spray 4-5 times and one needs to be very close to me to be able to feel it. Very weak projection. I guess Rasasi changed something on this. For those of you who like Faqat Lil Rijal I suggest you to try Al Haramain Oudh 36 Nuit. It smells very similar but that one projects like hell. It's nuclear. Keep in mind it is also a bit more animalic.

Edit: I was wrong. It projects and lasts and people like it.

rohanjoyrana

reminds me of
kilian rose oud , Al Rehab sharquiah, Armaf Shades Woods

realfrags

Just finished my bottle, and here's the verdict. Relatively strong performer, though not the best. But it lasts through the day.
Scent is not bad, but rather sweet and soft, not what I'd call ultra masculine at all.
Overall not bad, good longevity but not something I'd buy again.

OudSan

Everybody seems to say that this is a beast mode fragrance, with incredible performances etc..very loud etc..very strong etc..dark.. Some also says that this reminds them of some Montales fragrances..

Well, I dont agree at all,but I can understand why they have this opinion:
If you are new to middle eastern fragrances, and that you're used to '' Yves Saint Laurent La nuit de l'Homme '' or Dior Sauvage types of fragrances, then this may be -strong-, and beast performing to your nose. But for those who are used to arabic art perfumery, then I will quote this : '' next to the darkest, the less dark seems lighter '' ( By me hehe )

In other words, if all of your life you used Eau de Cologne, and then all of a sudden switch to la nuit de l'Homme, this will be a beast mode fragrance to your nose ( which is not in fact ) until you try another strong fragrance etc..

Review :
Well the first time, when I put my nose on this, I was amazed by the quality of the smell for the price : This was indeed an instant love fragrance. Very arabic style. But week passed, and I must say that this love has weakened.

For me now, this has a little synthetic smell/vibe in the opening and is a bit harsh/chemical.

Performance is ok.

This could be worn in summer, quite fresh thanks to the leather. Strong bergamot in the opening and last until the dry down.

For my nose this is the pyramid of scent :

Top notes :
Bergamot, Geranium, Fresh vibe, leather

Middle notes :
Oud, geranium, bergamot, leather

Base note :
Oud, Geranium, saffran, white musk,

Absolutely not ''barnyard'', very fresh scent and clean. Office safe.

Compliments gatter : Yes, orignal one.

Nice box presentation, not so high quality bottle, big for no reason and made of plastic.
Worth the price, but not more.

PS : Please stop voting for notes if you dont know how they actually smell individually, this is misleading: This goes also for the supposedly '' Oud connoisseurs '' who have never once smelled real oud, individually.

Houstonx

Oud has that barnyard effect on some people. Just give it some time and the smell opens up and changes character. This is actually one of the easy to wear ouds. But lets not deny it, some people have more sensitive olfactory sensors than others and smell things others cannot. But for mere mortals like me, this is good oud. Maybe not love at first sight, but starts to grow on you. My favorite oud of all time however is Ursa by Tiziana Terenzi. And that really has a barnyard smell in the opening and even I can smell that.
Some people's experience with this frag is that 2 sprays of it is enough. I am afraid I dont have that experience with it. The longevity is certainly very good, but I find the sillage quite moderate. But I dont complain. First it's not an expensive smell, second it makes it easier to wear without giving others headache.
p.s. Bottle is a bit tacky though. It certainly needs some work.

Vostok308

Tried a spray in a dealer's showroom in Birmingham over the Christmas holidays.
All I got from start to finish was cowshed. Bovine fecal matter. Very heavy. Nothing more.
Because of all of the reviews and because I'm aware that there are any number of reasons for my initial impression I decided to buy a bottle.
Completely different. My frame of reference for oud is Dior Leather Oud. I'm just starting out on my fragrance interest.
With Faqat I now get a hint of this kind of oud and a lot of deep, rich rose and geranium.
It's my current favourite. A beautiful smell. Brings to mind a stately home rose garden on a hot summer evening. Rich and full.
I don't think that on me it's the powerhouse other people experience. If I describe Dior Leather Oud as having high projection and silage I'd say Faqat reaches sixty five percent of that. Longevity on my skin however is over twelve hours right up close.

V.K.R

This is an awesome fragrance guys .... superb .... oud and rose are blended in a sophisticated way .... really really amazing fragrance ... it’s very strong

Smell -9/10
Longevity-10/10( superb 24+hrs no kidding guys)
Projection-10/10 ( enormous for couple of hrs ..then its heavy )
Compliments-9/10(compliment getter for sure)
Versatility-9/10 ( A perfect evening scent )

Guys this is very potent juice... be careful with the no of sprays.. 2 sprays not more than that o else u vl b chocking urself for sure

jsantos444

Smelt like red wine and cheese at first then spicy leather manly. Love love love!

majcarlstewart

Ok this juice is out of control strong and woody. If you like oud/wood aroma, you got it full blast. Two sprays and lights out. My daughter didn't like it nor my wife but I felt great pushing it. For the price, its a must blind buy.

talkaboutscents

Intensive geranium, got tricked by it since it gives a bitter rose scent and I hate it.

Oud is somewhat noticeable but the scent seems to be weak and it smells very..again..arabic and middle eastern. It's not sexy at all neither for men nor women.

Quick pass and glad I didn't pull the trigger for blind buy.

If you dislike rosey ouds, just pass.

FrozenIcewind

It's so hyped I couldn't wait to get my nose on it.

Unfortunately, I got just what Metal&Ice got - an overwhelming smell of the feces of a cow. Can't help it, guys. Maybe there is some oud under this skank, but I barely can find it.

jazzclrnt

The first time I smelled this, I fell in love with it. It is a very bright, fresh smell. The oud-ness is simply a slight cheese or wine type smell but very pleasant. I agree that it is more of a booze plus bergamot plus sandalwood scent than skanky oud. This is not a beast mode scent, nor is it skanky. I love the smell of Faqat, and wish it was as strong as some warn, although it is noticeable enough I suppose: I have gotten compliments most of the times I have worn this!

As pointed out by others, the inner bottle is quite small, which is a problem as you need maybe ten sprays for the smell to be noticeable beyond the initial spray blast.

UPDATE: A better lasting, projecting, newer, and spicier version/relative of this is Rasasi's Ashaar, but of course Fragrantica hasn't added Ashaar to the database. It’s more piquant with lots of sharp bergamot with cardamom and saffron at the opening, and less boozy.

UPDATE: if you want an attar that accentuates the skankier parts of this smell, try Ajmal Fatinah. The note lists have all sorts of other things but it’s just skanky oud really...maybe the hardest oud I’ve smelled. The other notes of Faqat are hinted at in Fatinah too, so it feels like a mirror image of a Faqat haha: both trade one perfume’s hints for the other’s strongs haha.

remember_brill

Does anyone have the impression FLR it gets very similar to La Yuqawam in the drydown? Because of that leather note..

TAJ1

One of the best oud ever made, hands down.

andrewj

Great scent. Very strong, sharp oud, leather, saffron & geranium (which smells like a nice sour rose here) at beginning, then dries down to a quieter, woody scent. Like a much stronger version of Jesus del Pozo Arabian Nights for men.

Box and bottle are both huge, but contents are only 50ml of juice, so don't let the big fake hip flask appearance fool you. Would be nice if it were sold in a larger quantity. I'd happily buy a 100ml bottle. In fact, if they sold it in a 250ml bottle like Dior Leather Oud, I'd buy it for sure. Since a lot of the current bottle must be empty space, it should be easy for Rasasi to fill that space with at least another 50ml of juice.

They have even put some kind of extra weight into the bottle to make it seem heavier and fuller than it really is. 50ml of perfume in a Montale bottle weighs almost nothing, but Faqat Lil Rijal feels like it contains 200ml, even though the 50ml capacity is clearly written on the label underneath.

However, I'd like to congratulate Rasasi on putting this scent into a chrome colored bottle. It's such a refreshing change from the obligatory bad taste Middle Eastern gold packaging that every oud scent adopts. Even French perfume houses like Givenchy, Montale, Guerlain, ST Dupont, Mancera, Lancome and Aramis, who should all know better, have made this mistake.

Anyone who owns more than a couple of oud fragrances will know what I mean: whenever you open your bathroom closet to select a perfume, you're blinded by an overwhelming flash of gold from your entire oud collection. Then you can't see properly for the next ten minutes, because everything you look at has a residual gold tint. It's great that Rasasi has broken free of tradition with this bottle and decided to put a strong oud-based fragrance into a non-gold container.

A strongly masculine scent. Non-sweet leather note helps with this.

Powerful scents like this are great. I want maximum longevity, maximum sillage and maximum projection. I don't see the point of fragrances (especially oud based ones) that are weaker than a rabbit's fart. Why bother? If a fragrance has no more power than a mildly scented soap you would rinse off in the shower, then it's not worth wearing. This one is definitely worth wearing.

This fragrance is for men, not for boys who prefer the saccharine sweet fragrances that young girls like.

Strong!

Metal&ice

Imagine you were walking through a field and you found the feces of a cow or a sheep, and for some reason you were carrying an air freshner and you decided to spray enough of the air freshner on the feces for it to smell good. that's exactly what this smells like

mam katar

Great perfume! Longevity is awesome but projection unfortunatelly is little soft to me. Anyone knows something similar with strong projection?

Aouldfactory

Amazing juice! Rasasi's Faqat Lil Rijal is a true to life interpretation of a "true oud" fragrance. It is not a designer type oud fragrance so common to Western sensibilities. If you're not use to a little skank in your oud this scent may seem a little alien. I get 10+ hours of longevity and 4+ hours of solid projection. After 4 hours the fragrance seems to come and go for another 3+ hours and seems to re-assert itself when recharged by heat and increased body temperature. To me this is one of the best oud-centric fragrances available at this price point. Rasasi has firmly asserted themselves as one of the premier Middle Eastern fragrance houses and continues to impress me with their solid offerings!

The Lorax

I agee w/ Forbiddencookie, my sample was very skanky. It smells really bad/rotten. My gut us telling me it's the seller of the sample. After reading the other reviews it does not seem like what I got is what is being described by many of you. What I got from my sample was a rotten dark smell, and Rose. The Rose smells too strong based on what the notes say, and reviews of notes picked up. Mine is Mos def straight Rose, and not geranium, and it is strong.

I will try it again sometime.

ForbiddenCookie

Some people say this is skanky, others say it's smooth. I seriously think that there's been either a reformulation of this or a batch irregularity because I experienced the same thing as well. My first time smelling this was from a sample, and I did NOT like it. My sample was a barnyard fecal oud, and I really wanted to like it but couldn't. Eventually I bought it anyways but upon first applying it it smelled completely different! It was smooth and sexy. I honestly don't know what's going on here, but there seems to be two different versions of this or something. I simply LOVE my version. Smooth, dark, classy, masculine.

Scent: A
Longevity: 12+
Sillage: honestly can't say. Huge at first, but olfactory fatigue kicks in hard, so I can't tell if it's either really big or settles pretty close.
Value: incredible
HIGH RECOMMEND

pedi123

i don't like this. this perfume makes me headache.

cmbing

Got hyped on the reviews and blind bought it. After a couple of wearings I can say that it is definitely NOT a beast mode frag, becomes skin scent after an hour or two at most. Very far away from my experience with La Yuqawam Pour Homme when it comes to projection/sillage/longevity. I also expected some solid 'skanky' oud, however it only makes a brief apperance in the beginning and then it's gone. The drydown is very civilized, smooth and clean. Quite a good scent actually but because it stays close to the skin you have to bury your nose down to enjoy it. I thought it was my bottle but some reviewers had the same experience. Mine was manufactured Oct2016.

SajidBeg

A lot of giants have contributed in oud based fragrances i.e. Creed, Tom Ford, Killian, Montale, YSL, and many more… but I believe when they started to produce oud based fragrance they secretly set “Rasai Faqat lil Rijal” a standard to meet for, but they all have failed!

RBZ

Holy sh*t!! I've been putting off this purchase for quite some time now and finally pulled the trigger, blind bought it and absolutely no regrets. This is a very nice oud/leather combo. I love leather but combine it with oud and WOW. I've tried others with this combo but Rasasi killed it here! Niche quality all the way and just BEAST mode. First wearing so need to wear a few more times to really digest but for a first impression I'm completely blown away! Think I might pick up another bottle as back up since I would gladly pay 3x the current price tag before it gets to that point (price has been going up, had a chance a few months ago to buy it for $18! and now the price has doubled).

ThatMakesScents

I am a Rasasi fan for the most part. At the moment I've got 3 bottles of La Yuqawam which I adore. Tried Al Wisam Day for a few weeks and liked it a lot although towards the end a certain note was bothering me so I gave the last 1/4 of my bottle away.

I have also tried Taseem ( Spelling ?). Not bad but rather weak in performance for my taste. So at the moment La Yuqawam is the winner.

Reviews mention Dark Aoud which I absolutely adored and Perris Monte Carlo which I tried and found attractive. Not to mention this one being a POWER BOMB !! Just the word BEAST alone in a review makes me weak in the knees....

So I purchased Lil Faq this week from Notino which is where I get my other Rasasi items from....never a trouble with Notino or when it was Beauty Spin.

So what do I get from Lil Faq ?

A soapy rose with a dry fecal oud. Dark Aoud by Montale had a creaminess to it that this doesn't have. There is a little sweetness to this in the background.

The oud used in this YES is similar to Perris Monte Carlo but IMO less pronounced.

*** This is my first wearing of it....now 2 hours. It doesn't go on like a bomb compared to La Yuqawam. Hands down La Yuqawam shows its' strength way better at the beginning. After 2 hours in this just doesn't can't keep up to the latter.

In all fairness I am only 2 hours into the ride and I have not worked up a sweat yet.

The real test will be after tonights shower and a fresh cotton T-shirt to sleep in...coupled with a nice sweaty bike ride tomorrow morning. After the bike ride I will know for sure if this has good performance. As of now however I am not super impressed,,,,there is hope however because I am getting whiffs of oud now and then but it isn't in your face.

I like the smell looking more into performance before I decide how I feel.

Will report back after a day or so.

Edit :

I've had it on for a few hours already and just walked back from the supermarket. My shirt is all sweaty :) I'd say the fragrance is tenacious NOT BEAST MODE. Although BEAST during this era means something different then it did during the 70's/80's.

The oud is way more prominent. I do not smell any rose or floral aspects. What I do smell reminds me of the honey/oud combo in Dior Leather Oud which I also owned 3 bottles of at one point in time.

So as I write this...I like it. For the price is really is something worth sampling to see if you like it....considering you have already dabbled in a few oud fragrances before. For $32 you won't get "amazing" but I'd definitely say it holds its own against the designer ouds on the market but not something like Xerjoff.

To be continued tomorrow.

Update :

I have sprayed this on me 3 times since yesterday....upon opening the box after my nighttime shower and now after my after work out shower.

I get a soapy rose opening for the first 15 minutes then it goes into an oud, musk, honey dry down very similar to the reformulated Dior Leather Oud. So much so that if I knew someone wanted to buy the current Dior LO I would highly recommend this instead.

This juice definitely has lasting power. It was still on my skin after mountain biking which says A LOT. However I am still not sold on the beastly projection. I have yet to test this in a crowd or with...women. That happens starting monday. I will report back next week.

Conclusion :

NOBODY could smell this scent on me after an hour. This does have some lasting power as a skin scent and it smells nice but the sillage of this juice is a joke. La Yukawam runs circles around this fragrance when it comes to performance.

Compared to other Rasasi's I have tried I'd say it falls even with the other low cost juices they sell. Good smelling with average to below acreage performance....like after the 1 hour mark it will dwindles down to nothing but a skin scent.

Only one other reviewer "alihassan" was spot on about this fragrance.

Will be using it at a momentary air freshener for my office area.

zjevander

There are three fragrances that I am reminded of when I smell this. Cartier D'un Soir, Dior Fahrenheit, and Dior Homme Intense. Hear me out, I am reminded of Cartier D'un Soir because I was reminded of the rose that's in it. Although, I think D'un Soir's rose sits a little higher in the olfactory frequency range. The rose I smell in Faqat lil Rijal is sitting lower, in the middle range, but it smells similiar to D'un Soir in the floral aspect, just a deeper rose with Faqat lil Rijal. It also reminds me of Dior's Fahrenheit, because of the diesel (fuel like note). The fuel-like note in fahrenheit is little more in your face than in Rasasi. The fuel note in Rasasi is a more toned down. It also smells like the lipstick note found in Dior Homme Intense. In Rasasi, it's like the fuel note from fahrenheit and the lipstick note from Dior Homme Intense are melded together. I think it's the oud, leather, and sandalwood. The oud here is very dark, almost resinous. There is no sweetness in this fragrance, which, I kinda wish there was just a hint of sweetness. It doesn't really need sweetness cause the drydown of this fragrance is good, but a little sweetness could help smooth out the opening. It's strange that rose is not listed in the notes, because that it the first thing I thought of upon initial spray. Maybe the Geranium and Jasmine is playing tricks on my nose? It is a nice fragrance, although it is also very dark, not for the faint of heart or those who like to smell like a candy store.

psychocandy

This is indeed impressive considering the price...but that puts it in a corner. Even if this were $100 it would still be as impressive. I get more rose-like florals than I had hoped for but they stay out of grandma territory. The oud note reminds me of Oud Imperial from Perris Monte Carlo and I get a big dose of patchouli in this which is why I think that. It is not as wild and beastly as I was expecting, I think Oud Imperial is more over the top and rock star musky, but this falls in the same realm for me. If this were in an Armani Prive bottle no one would question its authority....Me thinks I need to explor more Rasasi..this one is a shocking good deal...

aaronstarks73

Pardon my language but, HOLY SHIT!!

When I first sprayed this on, I thought "uh-oh". But after just 2 minutes of dry down, this juice opens up to most sensual, masculine and opulent fragrance I ever smelled. If you told me this was a $250 niche fragrance, I would believe you. It smells THAT good!

The scent-memory it brings is when I was a kid and smelling the inside of my mother's purse. No, that doesn't mean it smells feminine. It has the smoothness and ease of wear of a feminine scent but extremely masculine.

The oud is heavy but not harsh, but extremely smooth. Buttery smooth. And it wafts off the skin in pleasurable waves. One spray on the wrist and it's just KICKING.

You can wear this in fall, winter and spring I think. And it's easily worn in any occasion. You'll be the best smelling guy at work. The stand out amongst your buds at the bar. Mr. Popular in a club. Mr. Sophisticated in formal situations. And irresistible on dates!

My highest review is Backup Bottle Worthy. This is above that. This is Hoarding Worthy. I'm actually thinking of getting 2 or 3 more bottles of this just to make sure I keep this formulation! This has replaced Angel Man as my Signature Scent.

EDIT: Wore this out last night so I can give a report from the field: Believe it or not, I went with FIVE SPRAYS to the bar last night. Good, light mist sprays (1 on each side of the jugular, 1 behind each ear, then one on the chest). This juice doesn't just last a loooooong time (if you don't get 8+ hours, then you need to drink more water or use better moisturizer), but it projects better than any juice I've tried. Even more than A*Men.

So as I moved through the bar, I pretty much got everyone to turn to see "who smells so good?" all night. Towards the end of the night, a very cute blonde came up and asked me to dance (kinda rare). We're not dancing 30 seconds before she blurts out "You smell GOOD!" and she kept nuzzling my neck. This stuff is dangerous in an oh-so-good way!! Definitely getting more bottles at the next paycheck. 10/10

Benguin7

Oh man. This sh!t is sexy. I feel like I'm a 1970's rock star. Silly medieval blouse. Tight. Cock-buldged leather pants. I just walked off stage, sweaty and funky. My wall of marshalls carrying the distorted refrain of my les paul into the night.

I then I get mauled by a pack of horny gorgeous women of every persuasion.

And then I'm having a beer and smoke somewhere quiet.

And Faqat Lil Rijal is what I smell like.

In other words. I'll be wearing this to work. In the summer. 8 sprays.

TYSONTORNADO

Oud Bomb! If you love oud fragrances try this out. Good for fall/winter season.

Plf416

In a nutshell, oud galore, mixed with a lil hint of incense, mixed with a very lovely rose note, slight lemon peel vibe, slight spice, drydown is beautiful floral (mostly roses and jasmine) and sweet spice, EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PERFUME IS AMAZING!!!

desert son

good

AMajeedQT

A beautiful spicy oud!

Really good!

Dark but synthetic oud, warm patchouli, & the coziness of saffron!

Truly lovely, although a bit too woody/harsh.

Cherry on the top: the performance is amazing, too!

Recommended for the lovers of oud an loud fragrances (a.k.a. beast mode).

RIYL: Versace Oud Noir, Polo Oud Supreme, Boss Bottled Oud, Armani Eau de Nuit Oud...etc.

AndreiCristian

This is very heavy and strong. Performance is "extreme"
I understand why they sell 50ml bottles and not 100ml. You dont need more.

First i didnt like it. Too harsh and strong ( even if i say none fragrance is too strong for me )

The opening is a total nightmare ! I see the four horsemen of the apocalypse in front of my eyes , trying to decapitate me ,lol.
The spices are too strong and i smell a lot of gasoline.

After 30 minutes this is a piece of heaven, stil strong and uber masculine. But the strong spices and gasoline smell is gone. I can smell spices in combination with aoud and leather.

As the name say this is for strong mans. I im 21 years old and i use "mature " scents like encre noire , lalique white , montale dark aoud etc. But this one , i just cant imagine myself wearing this , not becouse i dont like it , but is just too masculine.

When i smell this i imagine a guy with a lot of muscles and a huge beard going to war.

2metrose4

I blind bought this one because all the reviews. When I sprayed it on my wrist expecting the Oud note that everybody talks about and, nothing of that. Instead it was a very familiar scent. It was Tom Ford White Patchouli! And White Patchouli doesn't have the Oud note on his pyramid. Maybe is about my chemistry. Tried on a piece of papper. Is Tom Ford White Patchouli, from the opening to the drydown, is the same longevity and sillage. I went for my bottle of White Patchouli, sprayed 2 pieces of papper and both my arms at the same time. It's the same parfum in different bottles! And half priced. At least for my nose!

Scent 10/10
Uniqueness 9/10
Quality 10/10
Value for money 10/10
WOW Factor 10/10

This fragrance is well made. It's a quality juice from Rasasi. By no standards is this your run of the mill, go to fragrance. This fragrance right here is a force to be reckoned with. No kidding !!! If you plan on wearing it, make sure you look the part. A special note for my fellow fragrance heads from the west with much more subtle taste in fragrances, this might hit you hard guys. If you're not acquainted with the smell of the Arab world, this is going to be a peep into their world. A couple sprays around both clavicles under a nice black/Navy Blue linen shirt and you can expect women around, sniffing you. This has a nice boozy, Oudy, potent vibe. Women will definitely notice this and compliment. Over spray and you can play god in a party. This is not a club scent but more like a a scent of opulence. Smells like very sexy incense, due to the Oud and vaguely present Balsamic undertones. If you're even remotely interested in buying this, I'd insist you to go ahead and acquire a bottle. Keep it for those special times when you want to play a royalty on a budget. Thank me later !! I personally enjoy wearing this for a short drive late at night on a cold night listening to Amr Diab's Osad Einy. A lovely lovely combo. Listen to the song and you'll know what I mean.

siririschmoos

I think this resembles Cartier's Declaration D'Un Soir, though not as soft.

The oud here is not soft or clean like Cartier's D.U.S., thereby not so feminine.

Cartier's scent does not evolve while this does go from the oud/rose start to a more soft musk/sandlewood.

Before I purchased this I noticed that all reviews I've seen on YouTube have really good words for this scent.
Projection and lifespan of this scent is really good.

Good fragrance for the little amount of money spent.

digitalmohsin

If I have to sum it up in one line then this is royalty in a bottle. Wearing this makes you feel absolutely rich and sophisticated.

The oud in this fragrance is non-skanky and a little bit sweet. The leather note is quite prominent and very well done. Other notes are quite hard to pick.

This lasts very long; about 10 to 12 hours. The projection is huge. two sprays can fill entire room. If you make this your signature scent people will be able to tell if you were present in the room an hour or two ago because this will leave a lasting trail of your presence.

On the downside this is not a scent for a hot and humid weather. People will hate it if you wear it in summers. In winters people will give you a lot of compliments.

Overall, this is a must try fragrance. Very masculine. very sexy. very unique.

Cherry_Darling

Wow this one is a beast! Lots of leather soft spices and oudy woodsyness. No barn smell IMHO. Very characteristic and masculine but slightly sweet enough for a woman to wear on edgy days I think. Very good projection its a bomb.

marko.refael

The first time with this i smelled a hourse a goat blue chesse and wine.
After twice of use this changed and a flowery creamy unisex with the soft chesse like but not in a bad way
It is hard to explain this scent ...but i cant refuse it, i ware it all the time its the best perfum i have for the last 5 years................dont pass this one it is such a good parfum....very classy.
This was a blind buy and i think it is a safe bli d buy just give it a few tries it is a magic potion ..and performence is great
Thank you.

Pappy00

This is very comparable to Harrods Amber by Bond No9, New York Amber by Bond No9, and Midnight Oud by Juliette Has a Gun.

Amazing for the price if you like masculine floral ouds.

alihassan111

It is a heavy ,very intensive, oriental, incisive and full of pure oud scent but sillage i after 1 hour finish i dont realize that why its like that as per all views its protection more than 12 hours
i buy online that perfume i cant understanf that

premu86

Received this bomb last week and I have been using it since. I have to admit that I didn't like it the first time I smelled it.

But once it settled, I started to love this beauty. This is heavyweight stuff, one or two sprays should take us through the whole day. And I noticed that it changes its dimensions with time.

I really love it when I smell the scent every now and then when I move my body. Trust me, this is a hidden gem and I'm glad I found this.

alihassan111

It's heavy oudy perfume just for male and sillage and longevity more than 12 hrs
That is my 1st real oud perfume in starting its heavy after 20 mins it will give u real pleasure of oud my rating 9 /10

GustaveTheNose

I bought a bottle of this following the reviews and I'm glad I did.

It's a powerhouse and anything more than 3 spritz is too much for me, and I like heavily projecting perfumes. It lasts for the whole day on skin, and lasts few days on clothes.

I disagree with notes breakdown here, it has oud from beginning to end, and its not barny or animalistic. Oud is mixed very well here and other notes project nicely along the oud.

I can smell incense which I don't find in the notes breakdown. There are heavy ambergris and leather notes, and amazing soft smelling saffron, plus some geranium too .

I can't smell patchouli and I'm glad I don't. I can't smell musk either.

This is an excellent perfume and it is a typical middle-eastern one, it's niche-like and I can't see people complaining unless you overuse it.

Highly recommended.

Lomasfuerte

Just imaging a prince working on a farm and riding horses thats the opening
The dry down is the same prince clean and wearing a tuxedo
You have to try this to believe
Never judge a perfume by the opening
Obe the most beautiful transformation i ever experienced
I dont recomend blind buy but you have to experience this for 30 us dollars
A must buy

Hamouud

Faqat lil rijal. only for men indeed this has a beautiful masculine smell. very classic and mature. i could easily compare how its smell to niche frags out there. i mean Probably this is one of the best men fragrance ever. this one is every niche frags competitor. it last for days and sillage? come on i only spray it on my shoulder once and everybody could smell it all day long

realfrags

Just blind-bought this based on the reviews.. heck, even if I DON'T like it this will be something to have in the collection, HAHAHA!
Here this is taken from their website... somehow I have the feeling they captured the 'Fraghead Psychology of the Individual' RIGHT on the money:
"It has been conceived for the present day man who yearns attention and desires to be appreciated."
LOL! When it comes right down to it...
Mark

FlexYoFace

This is a fresh(ish) form of an oud composition. It's also a very smooth transitioning composition, nothing overly experimental or random. Classic perfumery, with a modern edge. I'd wear this for any occasion and for cooler mornings to warmer mid days. Definitely a Spring, Autumn and Winter scent, and cooler/dryer days of summer. Starts off fresh and bright and becomes a creamy oud and patchouli bomb with a good deal of spices. It definitely cuts through the air and sits heavy in the air, great sillage that sticks around. For me it's a perfect oud scent. I'd give it 10/10 easily. Definitely not a blind buy for most, but if you like oud, try this one out. It's not overly exotic, but just exotic enough.

syztemdown

I can say i have many oud collection cpo. but nothing can compare this faqat lil rijal. I got compliment whenever i wear this perfume. 2 spray 7am till nite after shower 7pm i still can smell this scent.

the_badger

sheeesh guys!! Because of all this hype the prices are all jacked up now.

nikhilsharan

Oud Bomb in a metal flask. Nuclear Oud. There s a reason why it's called Only for Men. A beautiful original oriental potent Oud prefer for guys above 25 to 30. 2 sprays to the chest and let it do the magic. It will take you into a journey where no niche oud has ever dared to go. Mesmerizing and intimidating. Those who catch thw wafts will thank you. Have fun. Real oud at this price.

LordCharfield

Amazing juice! Instant hit for me! Full review to come in due course.

Bbjr

You simply won't find a better oud for under $30. I'm sure there's going to be some blowback on that one that it's synthetic and the bottle is cheap and it can't compare to the niche houses, blah, blah, blah. Hell, a bottle of bland Hugo boss costs more than this. I get a touch of rose but it's mostly oud, a tad dirty, but nothing at all offensive. Sillage and longevity is second to none.

Pitlordian

This can be extremely off-putting at initial spray... Pungent, nasty -- almost a barnyard-esqe scent. I was kicking myself for what I thought to be a bad blind buy. Give it 30 minutes to settle down and you'll find it begins to open up into something more tolerable. At this time it should start to pique your interest more by the way it's evolving. Give it 30 more minutes after that and you'll be wowed, as I was.

Nothing like the ADP, Kilian, or Tom Ford ouds. I have those and love them too, but this stuff is the real deal. Dark, extremely masculine, no holds barred OUD that still manages it's allure. Expect nothing less.

'Only For Men' is right.

umsultan

This was my husband perfume in our wedding day so it holds a special place in my heart. Its a powerful perfume, long lasting and the silage is enormous. when my husband wears it everyone keep asking what is it. it smells expensive and so masculine. Thank you al rasasi for this gem.

Traian

What MAGIC POTION is this?! WOW!! The opening is WOW! I don't know what sorcery is this. It smells like a resinous paste, syrup, slighty sweet. NICHE SCENT! Smells natural! The opening it's NOT medicinal, has leather, it's kind of nasty, slighty animalic, but then it develops in a resinous little sweet oud scent with saffron. TEST IT ON YOUR SKIN FIRST !

Tayyabshahbaz

It has been a full week since i tested this perfume on my shirt. well you have to believe i mean seriously i can still smell it on my shirt i didn't wash it to check its actual longevity..... oh i think this might be the most potent one in the world of EDP perfumes. Highly recommended for Oud lovers i am going to stock at least 3 bottles of this beast.

Tayyabshahbaz

Tested it yesterday, well this is the perfume for which we can use words like Beast, Powerhouse, Potent etc. in the beginning it was like too harsh (i think that i over sprayed it) but after 1 hour it changed into classic and pure Oud frag. The most interesting thing i noticed is that after each hour it's fragrance was like changing towards some thing we smell around a Jungle full of trees oh that was too good.

Longevity..... yes it has been more than 24 hours since i sprayed it but still i can smell it like as i just sprayed it now :-)

Sillage..... my room was filled with it's fragrance even after 12 hours of application

Definitely it will be my next purchase when i visit the shop

consumed

There's some great oud at work here. The opening hits hard with oud and sugarless florals. The oud here reminds me of a nice smoky whisky, mainly the oily woodsy aroma of whisky that it obtains from being aged in wooden casks.
It's a pretty linear fragrance, which I have no issue with, as I enjoy it through and through.
The bottle design is borderline heinous, but this is a gripe I have with most Arabic houses. I'm honestly embarrassed to have some of these sitting on my shelf.

Ricks44

I get a lot rose. Heaps of the stuff. Reminds me of Montale Black Aoud. I didn't like that and I don't like this.

The dry down is okay, you are left with a fresh scent but at the end it reminds me of an old ladies bathroom. The well kept kind, with little potpourri dish on the windowsill and immaculately clean, with all the little towels and such.

I don't know if I get oud as such. It's more the effect of oud rather than actual oud. I get mostly, a musty, semi sweet rose bomb. It's not remotely masculine or attractive.

Bottle is pretty tacky, HUGE metal flask type bottle with a "jewel" on the top of the lid that is more than half empty as it's only 50ml worth of juice inside. The label on the bottle is like a gel plastic stuck on to the bottle. That'd all be fine if the juice was nice.

Think potpourri dish/old ladies bathroom. That's this. Terrible blind buy.

I was expecting something like Acqua Di Parma's Oud or the likes of, it's nothing like that. It's heaps of dusty rose. Don't blind buy.

rd115leo

Never smelled oud before so no idea if i'd like it, turns out i'm not overly keen, only had it on my wrist for 15 minutes so might change my mind on a proper wearing, but for now i'm not a fan.

aqua_de_la_vita

I was in one of fav fragrance boutique...when they know I'm coming they don't worry about selling as long the fragrance appeals to me. I asked them if they have any frag's with an Oud base. They showed me Faqat Lil Rijal by Rasasi which is made in Dubai.
They allowed me try spray a hint of this juice on my skin. As an EDP I was expecting a blast of OUD to be strong almost pungent. At first I was taken back thinking that it wasn't strong at all. I couldn't pickup a hint of any Oud untill 15min later. Like most fragrance, you need to give the juice time to settle.
Boy.... finally I was able to smell Oud with a leathery/sandalwood undertone giving it a deep masculine animalistic quality. Saffron was listed and it has a very distinct aroma..it wasn't as obvious as leather note.
Longevity and Silage is slightly better than high lasting more than 12hrs when I sprayed it 2x.
Finally thoughts,
If you come across this fragrance, try it before buying it. This fragrance isn't as powerful as Kilian or Tom Ford's Oud wood but it's certainly not as weak as some others have expressed their opinion.
Fragrance's are very personal so when I read any review I keep in mind that it might work for me?
This juice has a real deep woodsy/smokey aroma with a definite leather note. In all this juice is excellent during the fall /winter months especially during the cold days when your skin heats up and the frag emmulates of your body. 7.5/10

My only real experience of Oud before this was a blind buy of Rasasi Oud Al Misk, that impressed me hugely.

On the strength of that purchase, I bought this similar Rasasi product.

Initially, I thought there was an error in my order as the box and Flacon are huge for only 50ml fragrance.

The flacon itself is metallic and very similar in shape to a fat hip flask.

The first spray is a massive assault to the olfactory system, Oriental and fairly sweet with immense Oud overtones.

This dries down swiftly to an amazingly long lasting Oud presense.

Definitely one NOT to overspray.

If you do, you will smell of this fragrance for days.

wow this is some seriously strong stuff..... longevity is incredible........lasts more than 12 hours.....sillage is heavy....perfect for oud lovers....i love this scent...thumbs up
10/10...............................

Beautiful scent by Rasasi.
starts off with the beautiful medicinal notes of saffron with loads of oud and dry down in the sweet accord of patchouli and woods.
Total manly

I'm still in shock!LOL. That's an awesome scent! High quality for a good price! One word for this perfume: OUD! If you like "real"Oudy fragrancies, this one is the scent for you. It's an Oud-bomb!! It starts a little medicinal, but it's normal, and then it develops into a magic scent! Very Very Powerful, so be careful! One-Two spray are enough for all the night and even more (on the clothes it lasts forever!!). It is also perfect to be used as a booster, I mean sometimes I layer this with other scents just to get a little bit more of oudy notes or to make some unisex perfumes a little bit more masculine.

One of the best blind buy that i've ever made!
9.5/10!

Just bought this and am wearing it for the first time... I am only several hours into it and the only thing I have to say is WOW!...

I have sampled quite a few of high end OUD's from Kilian, Tom Ford, Acqua di Parma, Bond No9 etc. Hands down, this one (Faqat Lil Rijal Rasasi) holds it own! I am not able to afford these niche fragrances so in my efforts to find a more reasonably priced OUD I ran across this amazing scent! This was a blind purchase $27 for 50ml... that was well worth it!

I can say this is an animal! A real BEAST! I really feel that the notes described above a fairly on target. No! barn yard here after the first 5 minutes... THANK GOD, but a very intense dark woody oud with the spices and floral accents peeking through. I find it to be quite dimensional. Just love the Saffron and Jasmine and the slight sharpness of the Geranium from the floral. The woods are dark and earthy contributed from the Patchouli.

I am very well pleased with this classic Oud perfume. The biggest Bang for the BUCK I have ever made!

Update: After exploring this fragrance for a few weeks now I will say I cannot wear this everyday! Its so powerful... Dark... Earthy... Spicy OUD!
Wonderful by itself... I have even been experimenting with layering it as a base with other fragrances that can handle an OUDY vibe... I've mixed it with 24 gold making it darker and even Sung Homme which gives it a Oud Robert Piguet vibe... oud and fir... anyway I'm having fun with this one!

Update #2... I have to say I have had more joy layering with this scent more than any other I have purchased! My latest two to mix with Faqat is 24 Platinum which give the most LOVELY rose oud scent! Lasts, FOREVER! And another concoction... Avon Mesmerize... Yes, an avon scent layered with Faqat... The myrrh and spices from Mesmerize mixed with deep oudy base of Faqat is amazing!

As I've almost used my first bottle I will be getting an other one!

This is the heaviest perfume .. 1 spray on my wrist lasted 2 days. it's a beast!!

Another Rasasi gem.

It cost me 30€ for 50ml EDP. The bottle is just like a metallic hip flask, although I think only the cap is made of metal, and the rest of the exterior of the bottle is silver plastic (I think inside there should be glass containing the perfume, but I don't know). The cardboard box is huge for a 50ml bottle, and the bottle itself is also very big (seems more than 125ml to me), but it contains only 50ml (what a pity!). All in all, the bottle is nice.

Regarding the fragrance, I agree with the other previous reviews. This is very heavy, very intense, very rich, very deep, very persistent, very long lasting... well, pretty much "very everything". This shit is potent! And it has also a huge (monster!) sillage ("Beast mode", as Bogarde has accurately said before), capable of completely filling big rooms (up to the ceiling!), and it lasts hours and hours (and hours, and hours!) without decaying.

Then, after 10 or 12h or so, a incredible, marvellous sense of "cleanliness" takes over. This is not a weakening, but a marvellous change. I was awestruck by this the first time I wore it. It was something like "clean & fresh oud", if that makes any sense to you... because oud is dark and bold. I don't know if it's because of the musk & sandalwood, or geranium + jasmine combination, but it's amazing. The oud is still present, and it keeps going and going until it breaks the barrier of 18h+. Even more than 24h after applying it, there was clearly a skin scent, very noticeable, deep, rich and warm, although it didn't project as a beast anymore :-( The clothes which were in touch with it also had this clear aroma, and also my bed sheets (the upper parts which were in touch with my neck and wrists) after a full night of sleep.

This is truly AMAZING. Period.

Believe me, I'm not exaggerating, this is probably the most powerful fragrance which I have smelt. It's so potent that one single spray on a sheet of paper completely filled my office (a medium-sized room). On my skin it's more tamed, not so "in your face" as it was on the paper, but a beast, nonetheless. I still haven't been bold enough to try more than two sprays on myself...

The only fragrances which could come close to it in terms of performance are another two monsters which I also know very well (I own both!): "Lapidus pour Homme" and "Joop! Homme". Both are VERY long lasting with ENORMOUS sillage. Faqat lil Rijal plays in the same league as this beasts, and I like it.

And what does it smell like? Well, this is oud, oud, oud, oud, oud and more oud (did I say oud?) in very high concentration. One oud blast after another. Tons of oud! And I love oud! so I love this. And if you love oud as much as me, I sincerely encourage you to blind buy and try this. You won't regret it, trust me.

I can compare it to YSL M7 and Dior Leather Oud. Both of them are similar, but different. For example Leather Oud has a strong note of civet (just like YSL Kouros), which I don't like at all, and has more leather than oud; and Faqat lil Rijal is different: it doesn't have civet, and the leather is more subdued, barely present, letting the real star shine, which here is agarwood (and Dior Leather Oud is 180€ for 125ml). M7 is more similar, but it was discontinued, unfortunately. Now we can buy "M7 Oud Absolu", which is only the weak shadow of what the original M7 was someday: it lasts very little on my skin (2h -perhaps 3h- aaaaaaand... it's gone!). If you like M7 Oud Absolu, remember that Faqat lil Rijal is less than half the price, and way better. Although it's not exactly "cheap" (as is the case of "Khaltat al Oudh" and "Oudh al Misk"), it's in fact VERY good quality for the money.

The most peculiar thing about this, and about oud fragrances in general, is that when you think that your nose has got accustomed to it (so that you cannot smell it anymore because you are saturated), it surprises you every now and then with a hint of oud passing by, like a ghost, like a swirl or mist. Whenever this happens to me, it makes me smile, because I love the smell of agarwood. I may be driving, or working, and then it comes, such wonderful aroma.

For me, this is 10/10.

Bogarde

This is my first arabic perfume and i'm very impressed!first of all when i see the bottle at the top of the page faqat lil rijal looks very small (50ml...why not?) but actually the metallic bottle is huge!(looks like 125ml).

Faqat lil Rijal is one of the most heavy parfums that i've ever smell. Tons of oud totally dominates the composition and i'm agree with @Deetron after 10-11 hours a sense of cleanness is revealing, some kind of rose and musk give a clean smell. High quality composition and like others said, if you like oud this is your fragrance. Don't look any further

Sillage: beast mode
Longevity: about 18-20 hours
Overall:9/10

Amazing oud perfume in very cheap price . I tried to spray on my hand before 5 hours and in that duration i washed my hand many times and smell is still on my hand of faqat lil Rijal.

Low cost, high quality, smells amazing, for oud lovers this is a must to try.

lakkiirfan

purely OUD.

Deetron

@dariush - there is only one size - 50ml in EDP concentration.

So nice perfume from Rasasi. Oud is dominant, powerful and masculine as well but to me sweetish. Just two spray and you will feel like have a bath with this perfume. I recommend to those who love masculine, strong and heavy perfumes.
Overall= 10/10

Deetron

I agree with Agonista’s review - Faqat Lil Rijal is really powerful and very masculine scent. There is a lot of Oud here and it can be too harsh for someone, because it starts with some kind of medicinal smell…But I think it is typical for intense oud fragrances. After first 30 minutes, the scent is getting softer and smoother. The dry down is very interesting – when the oud-ish start calms down,a wonderful sense of cleanness is revealing.
I think that sense of cleanness comes from the combination oud + musk. There is some nice spiciness in the dry down which make the scent more balanced, but the woody notes are dominant.
I can’t detect any geranium or jasmine notes…
So if I have to describe Faqat Lil Rijal in a short way it will be like that – very masculine and woody scent with natural and earthy aroma. I love that it’s not synthetic and a weak one, like many designer perfumes.
Longativity – excellent - more than 10 hours.
Projection/silage – excellent – people around you will smell it for sure. Even hours after first apply, Faqat Lil Rijal is noticeable and powerful.

agonista

It is a heavy ,very intensive, oriental, incisive and full of pure oud scent. The translation of the name of perfume is " only for men". Sillage and longevity are more than huge. If you want to test real oud scent, buy it on spec.
