Moustache Eau de Parfum by Rochas is a Amber Woody fragrance for men. Moustache Eau de Parfum was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is Natalie Gracia-Cetto. Top notes are Pink Pepper and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Atlas Cedar and Bulgarian Rose; base notes are Benzoin, Vanilla and Patchouli.

Launched in 1949, MOUSTACHE was created by Edmond Roudnitska. The name was inspired by Van Dyck’s portrait of Charles 1st of England who boasted fine whiskers.

To complement thE revival, a second fragrance was created by Natalie Gracia-Netto for all those who depending on the time or their mood, would like to expand their collection of fragrances to express a wide range of feelings and explore a new olfactory palette.

MOUSTACHE, EAU DE PARFUM - "A new fragrance with sensuality as its main focus."

•    Mandarin and Pink Berries sketch a fruity, spicy and intriguing line... Both a cheeky nod and a promise, it is spirited, enticing and exhilarating. Addictive? You will never have enough.
•    Bulgarian Rose and Atlas Cedar play with masculine and feminine codes to better leave them behind. Yet its density and power make it an irresistible fragrance for men!
•    Patchouli brings the camphoric accent of its damp roots, emphasized by Amber Benzoin and Vanilla. But where does this amazing virility come from? The woody notes of course, which structure the whole composition... It's deep, thrilling and hot to the touch.

It is available as a 75 and 125 ml Eau de Parfum.

A Timeless Masculine Elegance: Mustache by Rocha

Having recently acquired the remarkable fragrance of Mustache by Rocha, I am thrilled to share my experience and express my utmost admiration for this exquisite scent. Mustache embodies a timeless masculine elegance that seamlessly combines sophistication, confidence, and a touch of intrigue.

From the moment I first encountered Mustache, I was instantly captivated by its alluring and confident aura. The fragrance opens with a burst of fresh and invigorating citrus notes, including zesty bergamot and tangy grapefruit, which create an uplifting and energetic introduction. This initial burst sets the tone for an exciting olfactory journey that unfolds with every subsequent breath.

The heart of Mustache reveals a harmonious blend of aromatic spices and woody accords. Notes of spicy cardamom and warm cinnamon add a dash of intrigue and sophistication, while the earthy and smoky nuances of vetiver and patchouli create a sense of depth and complexity. This well-balanced combination of notes creates a captivating and irresistible allure, leaving a lasting impression.

What truly sets Mustache apart is its exceptional longevity. The fragrance effortlessly lingers throughout the day, evolving on the skin and revealing its various layers of complexity. It transitions from an invigorating burst of freshness to a warm and seductive embrace, making it suitable for any occasion, whether it be a formal event or a casual outing.

The bottle design of Mustache perfectly complements the fragrance it contains. The sleek and elegant black bottle, adorned with the iconic Rocha logo, exudes a sense of sophistication and confidence. It is a testament to the brand's commitment to craftsmanship and attention to detail, serving as a visual representation of the fragrance's essence.

In summary, Mustache by Rocha is a fragrance that exudes timeless masculine elegance. Its captivating blend of fresh citrus, aromatic spices, and woody accords, coupled with its remarkable longevity, make it a standout in any fragrance collection. Whether you're looking to make a statement or simply want to embrace your inner confidence, Mustache is an excellent choice that will leave a lasting impression on both yourself and those around you.

To me it's a more mature Boss Bottled, the opening is pure boozy vanilla and pink pepper, then when it dries down I can feel tobacco and vanilla that goes until it disappears after around 7-8 hours, the projection is good!

Overall a great scent, it can be easily wear in all seasons but I would avoid a too warm of a day.

Hendriako99

Amazingly blended fragrance and a staple for winter, but i do get a cough syrup type vibe around 3 hours in.
Very strong so be light on the sprays.

kovalini

This parfume is great. Very classy yet casual, very versatile and elegant. Good quality and smooth compostion. Definitely, blind buy worth.
It's steal for this price.
Longevity 5-7 hour on my skin.
Projection modern.
Overall 8/10.

pandabroe

Have had this fragrance for around six months now. Basically wore it throughout the whole winter. Very vanilla forward, but comes off very classy and masculine. Longevity and projection isn't the greatest, but I find it lasts a long time on clothes. Still though, for the price you can't beat it

Quantum11

A lovely scent, pleasing. The only issue I have is it lasts about 2 hours max.

Concentration: Eau de Parfum
Trend: Unisex
Seasons: Spring/Autumn
Occasions: Appointments, dinners, formal events
Average cost

There are particular situations where it is never easy to choose which perfume to match with our outfit. For example, going out on a first date, or perhaps a party with work colleagues, where anxiety always plays a dominant role.
Today's fragrance is therefore a sort of ideal solution, a happy medium, to be used to instantly erase any such indecision.
A sweet smell but not too pleasant, quite mature but not old, a unisex passepartout enough to make a good impression where there isn't much familiarity with those around us.
A very present and very vanilla rose joins with a pink pepper that certainly does not project meters away, but which for several hours welcomes ourselves and others in a soft embrace to make us elegant always with great discretion.
Suitable for intermediate climates, such as late autumn or early spring, the charm of this fragrance is unique in its glamorous evening sophistication, as well as in its more than affordable price for anyone's pocket.
The bottle precisely summarizes its essence, as mammoth as it is formal and very linear.
For over 40s who like to show off without ever exaggerating.

This is a nice fragrance. I only spray on clothes, rarely on skin. Moustache smells expensive. To my nose I get a deep citrus with leather and woody aspects. Lovely bright citrus opening. Stays fairly linear throughout. A masculine and mature scent. Fougereish..My nose does not detect any vanilla or rose. Like I said, just citrus with leather and woods. Maybe the patchouli and cedar combine for the leather smell, I dunno. When I smell my shirt after the far drydown i get a dry, woody, citrus. Longevity is good for me. On clothes is quite strong, 2 to 4 sprays max. Silage is good. I get a hankering for this fragrance from time to time but I prefer my Mercedes Benz Club Black, Dior Homme Parfum, MAB Encelade, and Issey Miyake Fusion Extreme are the favorites in my collection so far. I have not smelled Tuxedo yet.

WOW, Gorgeous Fragrance , Elegant, Classy, Rich and Luxurious. Rochas Moustache EDP has High Quality Composition Similar to Niche Quality and Well-blended. I tried it in store and I fell in love with it at first sniff. You can't go wrong with it. Now It is Rare in Canada and I found it by chance with reasonable price. It opens up with semi sweet soft Spicy, citrusy and floral rose note in the background then dry down is semi sweet warm spicy ambery, woody with vanilla and Patchouli vibe undertone. It is sweet but It is not cloying, Very Soft and Smooth, It smells magnificent. I really enjoy it and it is perfect for cold weather. I haven't tried YSL Tuxedo yet .Special Thanks to Max Forti on YouTube, He says Tuxedo and Rochas Moustache Edp are very similar together. I'm so happy that I have it in my collection. Longevity is Average. The Pink Pepper, Bulgarian Rose,
Patchouli and Vanilla notes are dominant in this scent. Overall, This is a great super value perfume.
Highly Recommended.
Two Thumbs Up.

Nice scent. But performance on my skin is really, really bad.

I had tested YSL Tuxedo and performance was also abismal, so I decided to go for Moustache.

It is a nice scent, quite similar to Tuxedo, but performance is equally bad… despite the great price this is not something that I would recommend unless you test it first and performance works for you. If so, this would be a great find.

hc123

Have not smelled Tuxedo but own the Tux and this. This is slightly spicier vanilla and subdued patchouli where the tux is heavier sweeter and more earthy. I would say moustache is more versatile and less in your face. The tux when you want more of a presence and Moustache when you want the same scent profile toned down. Presentation Mustache is a far nicer bottle with a great atomizer the Tux has a chunky sharp edged square bottle with ok atomizer.
Having blind bought Moustache I would say they are redundant.

Rogerant

I bought 109 mls for 20 pounds, just unbelievable value from notino. Anyways beautiful blend of sweetness and spices with some patchouli in dry down. Never smelled tuxedo but this is lovely for an occasion or a date night

jojohanhan

Very classy and elegant perfume. Designed to be worn at cool weather especially night time on a date or a special occasion. Bright peppery opening then benzoin and rose notes on the middle. Finishing with smooth vanilla on the base. Good perfume for a mature man that brings out the sophistication out of him.

mfjuho

Now that I've tried YSL's Tuxedo I can confidently say that Rochas Moustache EDP makes Tuxedo redundant, atleast when considering the price.
To a trained nose the differences are very subtle and Tuxedo maybe comes across smoother and just a tad bit more sophiticated, but in the air the differences are basically impossible to tell. If money is no issue then I say to go for Tuxedo, otherwise this is the one to go for.

ashroloie

Even Quasimodo be dropping the panties on dates with this, its that good. Anyone turning their noses up to this scent should be drug tested immediately. The cheap discount deals you can get online for this is just insane for the quality.

Totally unisex i love it

ChiliOfTheValley

Incredible value for the price here, this is the first fragrance ever that I had to buy a backup bottle of. It really is that good, and the hype is real with this one.

Opens with bright and refreshing mandarin orange. Dries down to a clean, sexy, creamy vanilla with slight spicy and floral undertones. Definitely very unique-smelling, versatile and signature-worthy.

Can be pulled off year-round, but I think it works best during fall and spring, I’d choose something stronger for cold winter days, and something fresher for hot summer days.

Performance is OK, but definitely not beast-mode. It’s more of an intimate fragrance that doesn’t project much and doesn’t announce itself, and it lasts 6-8 hours on my skin, but much longer on clothes.

Overall, I’m really happy with Moustache EDP, it’s a versatile, yet unique fragrance and a fantastic bang for your buck.

K98

What I would wear to a wedding.

Nick frags

Everyone points how close this smells to tuxedo (which I have never smelled)

But one thing I've noticed is no one is pointing out how much it smells like Cedrat Boise.

There are obviously differences, but it smells quite like it. Which surprised me. When I first smelled it I was like "why does this smell very similar to cedrat boise.

It smells really good, haven't had enough time to really say much about the longevity (only had it for a day).

If my thoughts change on my thoughts about the two smelling similar I will update.

MaxFragrance19

Smells amazing but i'm lucky to get 3 hours with this, performance is terrible.

javiercruzgh

Such a contrasting fragrance.

On one side we have a scent to fall in love with. Probably one of my favorite sweet frags ever, specially on the opening with the citrusy, flowery and almost dessert like quality. I love every bit of it and fell in love at the first whiff.

On the other hand, performance is absolute trash. Only lasts about two hours even applying every lotion hack and even on clothes it becomes a faint scent briefly.

I hate that something that smells so great has such short longevity but still, I'm keeping the bottle to use it at home so I can catch a sniff of this from time to time. If you can, get it and love it too.

SiddhantSuryawanshi

Cedarwood, deep and grounding. A hint of rose, softer than a blush. And beneath it all, the warm, inviting sweetness of vanilla. Memories flicker at the edge of my consciousness. Evenings spent lingering in the fragrance aisle, a furtive spray onto my wrist, the elusive hope of finding something that mirrored the feeling you evoke.

This scent…it's not just a fragrance. It's the scent of moments stolen from time, of laughter carried on the wind. It's the scent of my heart recognizing its home. It's the scent of Moustache, and of the undeniable truth that whispers between us – this is the scent of falling in love.

FreshNBussin

Fantastic YSL Tuxedo clone and for the price you can't complain. Got multiple compliments the very first time I wore it too but I don't wear them for compliments, I just want to smell good. Honestly a great fragrance and almost too good for the price. Great performance. Worth a blind buy in my opinion.

A. Fawzy

Don’t know what’s wrong, but performance is terrible here. Instantly a skin scent that almost completely disappears in 2-3 hours!

Nepali Scent Chronicles

125ml for NPR. 9000 (~ USD $70), not bad for the price to quantity ratio. This comes out as a sweet and sour leaning towards a flowery, musky, sweet spicy opening, and settles like more of a masculine scent.
Sillage isn't that great and longevity is 7 hours max since this starts and settles as a body scent.
Overall 8/10

johnnytwofinger

Beautiful smooth, round, citrusy opening with a bit of a floral element. Settles down into a vanilla/floral thing very quickly. Classy fragrance that smells super high-qual, maybe for a bit of an older audience? Longevity is unfortunately not really there. Great work but not for me.

MrMrBrian

When I look at this in there with all the others I own, I’m reminded of the time when I got it and every YouTuber was speechless on how totally awesome it was..Best new fragrance by a mile!!!! & for a few months it could only be found for two or three hundred dollars because it was so wicked close to Tuxedo to the point it was scary lol!! I didn’t know anything about Ysl’s Tuxedo, But low & behold after some time I saw it for $39 & was excited & purchased this & when it arrived, I was neither happy nor disappointed..It’s a decent fragrance for $39 not $49 & most definitely not a $200 or $300 fragrance…Just sayin

rsansom3

This fragrance, more than any other I own, has a very different character depending on how much you apply. I agree with most reviews here and on YouTube that it's a fairly safe blind buy, especially for the price, but just be aware that if you spray more than 2-3 sprays it takes on a much more overbearing presence.

When I first got this bottle in the mail, I sprayed one spray and thought it was lovely! It opens with a slightly spicy, slightly woody, slightly sweet scent. Very appealing. As it dries down, the vanilla and patchouli really start to shine, bringing a creamy, green feel that I love. I really really enjoy the sillage from this fragrance too. Catching whiffs of it from my skin throughout the day reminds me of a more classy and classic masculine scent, something with barbershop vibes even. This fragrance really is incredible and beautiful when you let its subtlety reveal all that it has going for it.

However! Be warned that going too heavy with the sprays just bulldozes all of the subtlety out of this fragrance and turns it into a headache-inducing, synthetic-smelling vanilla bomb. Especially when it's warm. I recommend wearing this pretty much only when it's less than 65 degrees outside and even then only do like half a spray on each wrist and a spray on the chest. Longevity, projection, sillage are all really decent, at least on my skin, so there's really no need to go crazy with the sprays.

pilotdc

It's a warm fragrance. Maybe it's because I'm wearing it in a warm climate that I think Moustache is mid. Perhaps I'd like it better while wearing in colder weather. It's prominently woody. But the rose, patchouli, and top notes are certainly present. The latter notes remind me of turkish delight: sweet, rosy, and a bit fruity with an added nip of idk what. Performance is okay if I apply more than I normally do. For a low-priced frag, it's good.

kaleb_mi20

Reviews seem very bipolar when it comes to performance. Has anyone figured out which sellers/batches have terrible performance? I tried a 1ml sample and fell in love with the scent, but it wasnt enough to know about performance.

OudThisOudThat

Recently got a decant of this and I have to say I'm a bit dissapointed.

The scent profile itself is quite nice, sweet and fruity fresh (reminds me of ice tea and lychee juice), with herbal undertones, rose water and an ambery, woody base. As it dries down, the mandarin becomes easier to distinguish and the woods and amber become more prominent.

This would be a pretty nice fragrance for spring and fall, but the projection just isn't there (weak from the start and skin scent within an hour or two max) and it has this cheap, synthetic vibe to it. Smells like something you'd pick up in the drug store for 15 bucks.

Love the bottle design, but at this price point I just expect something that has at least moderate projection and doesn't smell like artificially flavored ice tea.

Remmious

Just got this in so this is a first impression but it was not what I expected based on reviews. Not saying they were wrong but maybe the terms get over simplified, like calling a fragrance green can have a wide spectrum. So I was expecting more vanilla forward with a little spice and the rest in the background. I’m not a big vanilla guy so I’ve held off but for $35 had to check it out.

So now the scent, this was more “unique” in that it was more mature with this spicy, slightly earthy and resinous undertone. I could pick up the cedar and rose fairly quick and the mandarin was more like a marmalade versus a juiciness. Guessing the patchouli used is giving the earthy almost smoky background.

I really like it but it’s not a safe blind or will he for everyone.. but the price for a big bottle might as well live a little!

RICH4

Smells great. Unfortunately, a fart has a longer longevity.

jojidemon5

Its pretty good
the start is very spiky, fresh, and bitter which some may not appeal to. The fragrance dry down is pretty solid going from a spiky bitterness to a smooth sweetness in the vanilla. I don't recommend blind buying this fragrance it's definitely the type you should sample first. This is also like to YSL Tuxedo only thing way cheaper. I got mine for about 40 USD which I think Is fair. Overall I can see why it is so popular and I do recommend buying it as its performance-to-price ratio is solid. I would say its more of a winter day/night scent. People in warmer seasons may find it cloying and headache-inducing as its a pretty strong perfume.

scent 7/10
projection 7.5/10
longevity 7/10

overall 8.7- solid

OBrien1510

I think for the first hour this is quite similar to Tuxedo. I think Tuxedo has a bit more "freshness" (maybe from the citrus and coriander) while moustache is more sweet right off the bat with a noticeable tinge of mandarin. I used to love Moustache but I think I've since changed my opinion and this is mainly because of the drydown which to my nose seems very strong on ambroxan. It almost reminds me of Sauvage in the dry down which is obviously a completely different scent. I think it will really depend on how you feel about that synthetic woody smell that comes from Ambroxan because to me that's the main difference between Moustache and Tuxedo

mattheparfume

somehow it was pretty awful to me. Opening was too strong and synthetic-like smell after dry down had me regret to buy it. I would not recommend at all. Not a safe blind buy certainly. Ended up giving out to my friend who's expanding his collection.

MoctezumaC

EVERYBODY LOVES A GOOD MOUSTACHE.

This scent is ok....it's not too deep, not too groundbreaking. It is a very safe and easy fragrance to wear. You can wear this to the office, to dinner, on a date....it's a crowd pleaser.

The most prominent notes are the mandarin, vanilla, and patchouli. This needed more mandarin to really break away from the vanilla and the benzoin. Overall, it's a moderate warm fragrance to wear. The safest blind....you shall not be disappointed.

Don't make your moustache your whole personality.

monsieur.moustache

Fantastic combination of vanilla and patchouli. Cozy and relaxing. This would indubitably make a great signature scent...

ttsib

I associate this to tea or iced tea. That's the only thing I think of, when I wear it. Good allrounder

Asca Naca

This was a blind buy for me. I wanted to give it a try since it had such great reviews and because I also love the EDT. They are not similar to each other whatsoever. The EDT has a very similar vibe to that of Eau Sauvage. Very light and lemony. This is dark and dense. You pick up a sweet vanilla right away. I don't see this listed in the notes but I get an almost smokey leathery smell. When I get whiffs of it I am reminded of Ombre Leather. This is a fantastic cold weather fragrance. Sillage is average and longevity is great on my skin. It lasts most of the day for me.

Faisal09

To me this smells like an orange creamsicle but in a bad way. All I’m getting is sweet sweet nauseating sweet. I could see how some people would like it though.

Marmalade Boy

Looking at the note breakdown I thought “hmmm, this seems interesting.” For $23, it doesn’t get much safer as a blind buy. But once sprayed you understand why it cost $23. Orange scented cleaning product is all I get from this.

However I have been able to make good use of it as a slightly overpriced bathroom air freshener 😊

COrjih

I've been testing a 2019 batch of Moustache and a 2017 batch of Tuxedo. They are very close. The Moustache, I think is using certain materials to radiate/project further and with little more of sharp green/resinous feel. You can find this feeling in the Tuxedo but you have search for it. Tuxedo has more calm/cooling effect while Moustache is more excitable. I actually prefer Moustache, but I tend to like aggressive smells. I think most people wouldn't actually align with my taste. They are about 90% close for the first 30 minutes.
In the deeper drydown, their differences really settle in. And Moustache leans into the synthetic amber-woods direction.

HisNoseKnows

liked it at first sniff but I let this bad boy macerate for about 10 months, it’s lovely now & the performance is 8+ hours.

TheMogger

I bought this blindly, sprayed it on my skin and I will tell you my unbiased opinion.

This smells like a patchouli benzoin bomb with the vanillla to back it up. It smelled a little funny in the beginning. Sprayed it the day after and it smells a lot better. Very "classic" smelling and rich. Newer batches has trash performance though.

I’ve never smelt Tuxedo, but I can compare this to CH Men Prive. A more mature take: just remove the leather/whiskey and add some rose/patchouli with boosted vanilla. Projection is what you’d expect for a more classy fragrance — medium to low. It’s a comfy fragrance for the fall/winter. Include a great bottle and price and it’s a total winner in my book. Just set your expectations accordingly.

Edit: I’m getting a strong similarity to Club Black in the drydown, just no incense. I think it’s coming from the combo of the vanilla/benzoin.

talkaboutscents

Patchouli-benzoin-vanilla-rose backbone with pepper, pink pepper and fougere accord, very good non-aftershave, non-barbershop spicy blend. To my nose this is very similar to Dunhill Desire Black but only without the animalic musk note. The rose is quite bright, the type you find in Moschino - Toy Boy, Gucci - Guilty PH Parfum etc. I get hints of vanilla-ginger accord, but that could be vanilla-mandarin combo giving a similar effect, reference Nishane - Ani.

Overall, a classic blend at a very fair price - talk about bang for buck. Dunhill Desire Black is surely another gem to check for this style, for a more spicy retro-macho twist.

Update: Drydown is the biggest problem for me, the use of woody-ambers rendering a drydown similar to gazillion of other recent scents, a nauseating Amber Xtreme, Amberwood F type, at this stage I wouldn’t even name the fragrance but the ingredient, and it could be any Mancera / Montale / Terenzi mess.

vanillalova

Reviewing this from my 5ml decant, love this so much that I'm grabbing a 125ml tomorrow!

scent:
opens up fresh like a barbershop from the orange and pink pepper(my favourite citrus/spice accord), then quickly fades into a balsamic, sweet type of fragrance, a bit airy as well. Rose is very faint to me. Gives a soft vibe in the smell. Does not smell too synthetic, quite high quality considering the price I'm about to pay! (78sgd/78cad for 125ml as a gift set w/shower gel)
compared to ysl tuxedo which I have only smelt once, is much less ozonic and 'aldehydic' than ysl tuxedo, and is missing the green patchouli, deeper and sweeter, but it does capture the general vibe of ysl tuxedo just less fresh. Take from this what you will.
Also to me this smells and reminds me of fresh brown sugar :).
performance:
light-moderate projector. opens up 1-2ft, then becomes a skin scent by hour 2. disappears after 7-8 hours on me personally.(29-25c evening to night wear, I have bad skin chemistry too)
For its purpose of being a classy date night/night out, performance is fine by me.

when/who to wear:
leans masculine, but I wouldn't mind if a woman were to wear it!
Very classy, and leans toward night and date wear in cooler weather, but quite unique at that. Can be worn by any age IMO. Safe blind buy for people who like vanillic-sweet and balsamic fragrances. I always suggest testing b4 buying though.
I heard that you can get it for cheaper if you wait, but I think that the price I have paid is well worth it!

At the end of the day wear what you want and like, have a nice day and keep smelling great!

mikebardenpiano

I can't smell it. I mean I get a little something in the opening, but not strong enough to even discern what it's supposed to be. And within a few minutes I can't smell it at all. From what everyone says it smells great, but I got nothing, sorry. Glad it was a cheapie.

Rochas Mustache EDP - A Sweet Stunner! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As someone who generally shies away from saccharine scents, Rochas Mustache EDP was a shocking blind buy success for me. I swapped a few fragrances with a stranger and received this modern gourmand in return - what a winning deal!

Mustache envelops you in cozy, vanilla-centric warmth while maintaining a light and wearable profile suitable for most seasons. Hints of tobacco and subtle smoke generate alluring depth without veering into “old man” territory. The rose note doesn’t smack you in the face as in Kenzo Homme, but lends a soft, romantic facet.

I admire the blending of aromatic molecules here; this juice smells expensive and carefully crafted. The presentation matches the juice with top-notch packaging. Longevity and projection initially seem ample, though the heavier base notes struggle to lift after an hour. Ambroxan may also contribute to partial noseblindness over time, so do ask for second opinions on how long Mustache is projecting.

I’ve received an abundance of compliments while wearing this modern gourmand. It certainly garners positive attention! For the swap price, this was an incredible steal - if buying full retail, I’d still pay gladly.

After my positive experience with L’Homme, Rochas has impressed me again with theMustache EDP. I can’t rave enough about this sweet yet smokey, cozy yet modern fragrance. If you love vanilla but find most gourmands too cloying, put Mustache on your “to smell” list! A new favorite for me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

jasperr3

Is it just me that thinks this smells like Ombre Leather?

Mike799

Such a great scent wow! The opening is 11/10

Gaspi11

Very good fragrance. Has a fruity scent and you can also feel the vanilla. Recommend for everyday use.

Mr. Bear

Very nice opening, but within a couple hours for me it turned into an overly-sweet vanilla bomb. With two sprays on my hand it actually started to make me a little queasy. I get the hype because I realize vanilla is a generally pleasing odor in cool weather. For me, vanilla is often too sweet and becomes almost stomach-churning. Compared to The Tux, this is more vanilla, less booze and violet. I actually voted this as a 'dislike'. Longevity/Projection pretty average.

JusttheFactsMan

#524 in my "Tour de Fragrance"

This is Yves Saint Laurent "Tuxedo" at a bargain basement price with top tier quality. I love Tuxedo, a vanilla bomb I love as much as I love MFK Grand Soir, though a darker scent like M. Micalief's Vanille Aoud is more my style Fredric Malle's "Musc Ravager" is more interesting, but if I could only pick one of these it would be Rochas Moustache EDP because it's awesome quality, versatility, at a ridiculous low price.

Dimmuburger

It's a nice vanilla amber based cheapie. Nothing particularly astonishing with it; incredible value for the price. Definitely worth holding onto, but rarely actually cracks into my rotation.

SundyPace

I have mixed opinion on this one.

On the paper strip , it smells amazing. All of the notes are balanced and it smells smooth , vannilic with a peppery rose undertone.

On my skin , it gives me a headache. It becomes nauseous and overly syrupy. Also it smells kinda cheap whereas on the paper it smells expensive.

Performance is only moderate at best, both projection and the longevity.

vbs221

While I liked this when I first tried and got it (mind you, I was never blown away, but I liked it), a couple of months in I can’t help but feel pretty bored by it.

This won’t blow anyone away, and it’s a predictably masculine fragrance. That predictable ambery base you find in The One with a pretty ‘coarse’ cedar wood and leather.

Bentley For Men Intense, in my opinion, is a much better ‘alternative’ that actually smells unique and distinctive, never gets old or boring and never smells generic. The Bentley is the niche version of this profile, while this is the designer one.

Jmac88

Just bought a bottle. Pretty good, right up my neck of the woods. Love the spicier fragrances.

defectedmonkey

I guess I've known about this for a long time but I was put off by purchasing it because it's a Rochas and I associated them with budget fragrances that were not very good (which was ridiculous because I haven't even tried any of their fragrances).
I was weighing up between buying a YSL Tuxedo or one of its many clones. I actually settled for this after trying a few samples.
Yes, it's very similar to Tuxedo, the opening has more of a sweet citrus burst that last for a minute and then quickly evolves into the Tuxedo DNA plus Vanilla, which makes it more versatile to wear (not that Tuxedo isn't versatile).
What impressed me most about this was I received compliments on this at the end of a 10 hour work day (without reapplying). The compliment was nice, but I was happier that it actually lasted that long. Because it's rare for me to find a perfume that lasts that long and doesn't assault my nose and everyone else around me.

davidross

Great great easy purchase. This smells like barbershop fresh, powdery, yet vanillic and sweet, and somehow fresh (maybe that patchouli note?). This is one of my favorites and for the price, it's a no-brainer. This smells delicious and is versatile. Dress it up, dress it down, all occasions are great.

delancy

Wow. Had to make another review after owning this for some time now and having properly put it through its paces. I have a large collection, and out of all of them, this guy right here is one of the absolute winners with the ladies. I'm in my early 30s, and women around my age and younger seem to love this stuff when I wear it, which is a surprise as it's so cheap, and the amount of positive comments I get from this compared to my pricier frags is a bit crazy really. This has a magnetic/addictive/cozy effect. Women very quickly cuddle up to me when I wear this; they seem to really like being up close to this stuff.

They don't smell anything alike, but this honestly reminds me of wearing Gucci Envy in the past in terms of its magnetism with the opposite sex.

Moustache EDP is a slightly dressier fragrance with a very slight air of bad boy (without tipping into that gross, sugary, syrupy, overly sweet One Million type of frat bro party cologne territory) while still being approachable and casual enough for a date. Contrary to some of the opinions below, I wouldn't actually wear a full suit with this, as I don't think it is as formal as many reviewers make it out to be. I'd wear Platinum Egoiste, YSL Rive Gauche, Penhaligon's Sartorial, etc with a suit or to the office (Platinum Egoiste is my office fragrance). Moustache EDP is more of a blazer/sport coat or cable knit sweater with a polo shirt and jeans or trousers. You could honestly pair this with a t-shirt and jeans if you really wanted to without it feeling out of place. Again, I really don't think Moustache is as "formal" as a lot of the reviewers below say it is.

I'm an expat working in Asia, and I'll usually pair this fragrance with a British-style leather jacket or a dark blazer and dark clothes. Then I'm off to a dimly lit cocktail bar/rooftop bar on a Saturday night or, if it's a date, an intimate two-person private dining room at an upscale Japanese restaurant. Then, I simply let it work its magic. You get the idea, this is what you wear when you want to smell addictive and alluring to women without going into clubbing/party boi cologne territory.

At this cheap price point, I don't even understand how anyone could be complaining about this fragrance. You either hate this type of scent DNA (so why would you buy it in the first place) or you like it and you've got yourself something that punches way above its price point. This blows some of the much more expensive niche fragrances I own out of the water.

Mr45

Safe wear - dates and even office wear worthy
Light amber floral, with hints of vanilla and maybe tonka
Sillage sit close to you like a bubble.
Very good price

However i find myself wanting more out of this fragrance,

Almoon

Smels good but nothing like tuxedo, projection and longevity average

michaeld2986

This is probably one of the best cheapies I've picked up! Dark vanilla and woods. It's mass appealing, but has it's own unique personality. Masculine. Could easily be a signature scent for the cooler months.

GR333

I created a fragrantica solely to review this fragrance. For me, this is quite literally the best “cheapie” I have ever bought. It is a niche quality, modern woody vanilla fragrance pretending to be a cheapie. It is ever so slightly citrusy + boozy in the opening, with a linear effervescent woody vanilla base that lasts through the entirety of the fragrance. The cedar + rose really rounds it off, it is a clean masculine rose that makes the vanilla, woods and benzoin light as a feather. This may be for fall/winter, but it is not heavy or syrupy whatsoever - and it is also not overly sweet. All of the notes are so well blended that it would be difficult for the average nose to pick out any notes other than vanilla (possibly), it is just it’s own, superb smell. It smells like Rochas Mustache EDP, not a bunch of notes scrambled together. Much like Rochas Man, this is a banger that will stay in my collection and become a staple of mine for as long as it is available. I cannot recommend this one enough, especially for a newer frag enthusiast. For the price, this is very, very hard to beat. My only complaint is the projection could be better, but the longevity is fine for me (6-8 hours).

Daki23

To start off, a lot of mixed reviews and opinions on this one, so I will try to cover all main questions one would ask himself before buying Moustache EDP by Rochas.
WHAT DOES IT SMELL LIKE? Tuxedo anyone? I have not tried Tuxedo - I don't know how similar it is to that one so I won't bother commenting on that topic. Now, what does it smell like to me? First spray - Dior Fahrenheit, kinda. It really does remind me of that old classic, even though there is no leather or violet leaf listed in the notes, the combination of a good does of pink pepper mixing with the rose and cedar does give it that feeling, it will remind you of a spicy leathery smell with a touch of mandarin orange, but I didn't find that the orange is a big player in this one. Now the opening 20-ish minutes is where this one is the most mature and masculine smelling, after that the benzoin starts creeping in more and more. The mid is my favorite part of Moustache EDP, by far. It smells of an unsweetened spicy vanilla which is really warming and comforting. As more and more of this benzoin smell comes into play, the more the fragrance goes from masculine to unisex, but never smelling feminine at all. It is a masculine leaning unisex scent after the first, let's say, hour. There are some slightly green elements to this one, but I never found them to be prominent. When the fragrance hits the drydown vanilla comes into play - it becomes soft, slightly powdery and little bit sweet, but never really too sweet as this is not really a sweet fragrance. The benzoin is the biggest player, far bigger than the vanilla so its more balsamic than sweet. The far drydown is completely unisex as its almost pure powdery vanilla with a hint of soft woodiness. Moustache EDP is, at its core, a spicy, soft woody vanilic scent with a touch of greeness. The rose is never feminine, but rather spicy and sharp. I found the rose to be inseparable from the strong pink pepper note and the soft cedary woodiness. What about the patchouli? Its blended really well with the rest of the notes, but I do think it gives the fragrances a slightly green, smoky appeal - giving it a soft leathery feel.
PERFOMANCE - again, so many different opinions on how well/bad this one performs. I found it to be a softer scent, but still noticeable. It lasts about 6-8 hours on my skin with moderate projection. First 1 to 1,5 hours it projects pretty well (arms length away), after that is comes closer and closer in, but it doesn't become a true skin scent until the 4-ish hour mark. After that its stays really close to the skin for a few more hours. Would definitely like it to be a bit stronger cause, for me, this is a fall/winter scent exclusively.
OCCASION - cooler weather, best for fall but can be worn in the winter too. Cozy and warm scent perfect for date night and close encounters, but can work as a cool weather going out scent as well. As far as sprays go - i go 4 to 8 sprays, depending on where and what I'm going to do. For a date night/close encounter 4 is perfect, but if you are going out for drinks with friends I found that 7-8 sprays will get you solid performance and people will be able to notice you cause of the sillage.
FINAL RATING:
Scent - 9/10 I found this to be a beautiful, elegant, well blended scent that is super cozy and warming. Not too sweet not too bitter.
Performance - 7/10 Solid, gets the job down most of the time.
Final score - 8.5/ 10 I love this one, cozy and elegant, sexy and classy. Will always have it in my collection!

Being from an Indian family and having a taste more on Old money style perfumes, hands down to this one. This is so gorgeous. I would rate this higher than any of its comparisons... No need to mention names. Beautiful Rose, Vanilla and Benzoin combo. I would like to mention that it has smoky base which is not incense like but more from Patchouli. This goes best with heritage Indian festival attire. Best for an Indian groom if the wedding is in temperature controlled situations. For outdoors, I may choose Herod over this. Btw, in India, weddings are almost always in Winter.

Anam727

Performance sucks but smells amazing and better than tuxedo(which it does not smell like btw)

SnifferBox

So, I just received my 125ml bottle of this juice (blind buy). I have the original 1949 version and love that as a bright summer frag. This stuff though.... This is the bomb. Sexy, addictive goodness. This is a 10/10 fragrance. I was weary of all the hype, but delighted to say it's 100% justified in this case.

Edit: this lasts as long as a fart in a hurricane. But it's glorious while it lasts.

O'Neal

Very nice smell, but the performance is unfortunately weak and disappointing!

Alzubaidi

Citrusy in the beginning and then becomes spicy very quickly.
Not getting any rose or cedar just citrus initially and then spice with a little patchouli in the end.
I'm really getting Boss Bottled in the drydown.
Really enjoy this fragrance - classy and versatile.
Am finding that it is not very long lasting.

silvs16

Definitely more woody and smokey than I anticipated. It smells like a barbershop to me.

Bertes

I don't like most sweet fragrences, especially layton, kalan, JPG sweets and so on, but this... This is just perfect amount sweet Amber goodness, with very balanced woody spicy notes. Longevity is great but it doesn't project heavily.
Worth the hype.

MitHsur

I mistakenly thought there would be connection between the EDT and the EDP and bought the EDT first. How wrong I was. While I do LOVE the EDT - fantastic old school gentleman's scent - it has NOTHING to do with the EDP. The EDP is a niche fragrance maskarading as a cheapie, and its fantastic. Its a bit rough and scratchy around the edges (which maybe a niche house would blend better a bit like some skipped seams on a COS garment that wants to be a Prada) but I do love it when the mood hits. The colder the better - I find it goes wrong if I get warm in the fall or spring. Best for the coldest day in the winter where it just can live and be itself. Can't go wrong with the price if you like this style of scent.

beavisbonce

Moderate to good projection but no matter because it’s so lovely close up. Similar to toy boy without the burger relish. Almost tobacco in the middle and a heavenly vanilla at the end. Mmmmm

Akel

High quality smooth scent with moderate longevity and sillage. Perfect for fall/winter time . You can easily smell pink pepper while you spray it and benzoin after 30 minutes. I really enjoy it and i get a lot of compliments. Women love this stuff.

mfjuho

Nice smell and seems like the ladies especially love this, shame that its quite weak in its projection for me. Lasting power is great tho, 6-9hours on avg.
To me its more ambery and rosey rather than vanillaey, but that doesnt matter now does it, it just smells amazing simple as that.
Can be worn any season as long as its dressed up. Adjust the sprays depending on heat.

Have never smelt YSL tuxedo but if this is like a cheap version of that then I would definetely be interested in trying it.

Just realized this, the drydown has a striking similarity to JPG le male le parfums drydown

Sweet and Tender Hooligan

Ok I think I figured out how this happened where a lot of people are saying this smells of nothing, they like me bought the original 1949 Moustache in an almost identical bottle and package instead of the hype beast tuxedo Clone.

The original smells like 4 jelly beans left in alcohol overnight and not much else. Terrible.

Smackk

I just got a bottle of this stuff and really like it. Its smooth and mature. There is something about this that vibes with PdM Layton, maybe the vanilla?...I'm not saying they are the same or even at all similar, but somehow related.
Edit: comparing the notes between this and Layton, they share mandarin orange at the top with vanilla and patchouli at the base, that's the connection. When I'm bored or tired of Layton, this will be the alternate to switch to.

kaleb_mi20

Im really suspecting that some seller had a huge stock of dupes/fraudulent bottles. Half of reviews are saying they got scented water and others are very happy with their product. I have owned decants of this scent and absolutely loved it.

Agent Strong

Basically, the discernible notes are alcohol and water. Even after a few months maceration, this smells like nothing.

rarestep

audience with the pope worthy

Jrad655

I blind bought this based on reviews. Again another regrettable decision. Can't say enough about the dry down. It's creamy smooth character I really like. But the top notes of pepper and orange don't work. I smell like a spicy orange peel until the dry down an hour later. So it's a pass for me. Don't blind buy it.

leafsorter

This smells like a fancy old lady at a gas station. The benzoin note dominates the profile, overpowers the other notes in the fragrance and is harsh and poisonous. The result is powdery feminine floral roses enveloped in a cloud of diesel fumes. Please do not blind buy. 1/10

Vlad Gorneanu

Yup. Hype is real. Beautiful fragrance. I can definitely smell the pepper, rose, vanilla & patchouli. All very well blended, masculine, attractive, alluring. I won't pass any Tuxedo comparisons as I think this fragrances is a phenomenal fragrance on it's own and deserves a purchase without having to be linked to Tuxedo. Payed $30 for 75ml. Most likely will get a 125ml bottle the next time as this is going to be worn...a lot.

vbs221

I have sampled Tuxedo multiple times, ended up getting this, and I must say, I legit like this more.

While Tuxedo does smell more complex, the violet leaf, slight black pepper, and the patchouli give it a “f boy” vibe. I do like the slight saltiness from “ambergris” (probably not real ambergris) in Tuxedo, but not enough to overcome violet, pepper, and patchouli.

This, on the other hand, replaces the violet and black pepper with pink pepper—and that makes it so easier. The vanilla is also a bit amped up here, while the patchouli is significantly reduced. All this makes this more unisex, in my opinion, than Tuxedo. A vanilla ambery (benzoin) mix with pink pepper, and a bit of cedar and rose. It also reminds me a lot vibe-wise to L’Envol De Cartier EDP. But that one is more airy while this is more leathery benzoiny.

Somehow the pink pepper/benzoin combo gives it a hint of Fahrenheit, though nowhere as near full masculine as Fahrenheit. Tuxedo, on the other hand, gives a substantial and masculine Ombre Leather Parfum vibe.

Why I like this more than Tuxedo:

When I first smelled Tuxedo, I thought, if this was just a bit smoother and less complex, I could easily imagine it being a Chanel Les Exclusif (which are famously elegant, smooth, and not super complex, spicy, or dirty). Moustache, in my opinion, does exactly that. It brings the scent profile closer to a Chanel—at the very least a designer Chanel like Egoiste. Or something like Dior Spice Blend.

Mind you, this isn’t mindblowing stuff. Don’t expect something super complex or unfamiliar. But neither are most of the Les Exclusifs. It’s just done really well.

Go4buck

This is it guys, this is the perfect Tuxedo smelling scent. All the clones (including the OG) are too unisex and too meh in my opinion. I believe the pink pepper makes all the difference and makes this a perfect date night scent for men. Of course youtubers are not hyping this one up because they have nothing to gain, but trust me, this one is cheap and good, get Tuxedo or any other stupid expensive clone out of your minds. This is worth it. I got mine from a fb group for 15euros for 60/75ml from 2018. Not bad at all.

Ash_H

據說是YSL Tuxedo的平替
兩者的確很像姊妹
有著相近的DNA但是表現力各有春秋

Moustache

Tuxedo顯得更委婉

兩者我都喜歡,
無法取捨 ❤️

JLV54

Presentation 8.5/10
Comes in a simple cardboard box, nothing special. Great looking bottle, with very heavy glass and a solid metal cap that clicks into place well enough that you can pick it up. The atomizer is above average with great feeling and nice atomization. The bottle perfectly embodies the vibe of the scent, elegant and classic but playful.
Longevity 6.5/10
Sufficient for every day about 6-7 hours with moderate projection, not beast mode but sometimes I prefer it not to be.
Scent 10/10
One of my favorites perfumes of all time, refined perfect for every occasion. Opens with a very bright blast of pepper, complimented by the mandarin, and then goes into a very warm, golden vanilla benzoin base with a nice backdrop of rose and clean patchouli that is very elegant and versatile. It's unisex but more masculine leaning. On top of all that it's pretty cheap, so I cannot recommend it enough.

Ryahya

my latest acquisition... first bought the decant & fell in love with it immediately so i bought the full bottle, its a sweet fragrance but not dark & probably can still be worn on a daytime/office situation. in my nose the most prominent notes are rose, vanilla & patchouli. radiating heavily on skin for quite a while, so SPL is good.

Jernê Knowles

Rochas is a Perfumery House that knows how to cross time with its head held high, and through respect for each of its customers, it maintains its fragrances in an iconic way, even among the many reformulations that affect most other Houses out there.

I say this because I have the vintage version of Mustache, from 1948, and for this Eau de Parfum version, it maintains the same characteristics, a super aromatic with hints of chypre and an intense resinous base, and in the vintage version, it it becomes more open, shiny, lush, bubbly.

I hesitated to meet him because I'm a fan of the vintage version and I knew that when trying it I would bring one with me, and it didn't happen, now I have a more 'serious' version of Mustache, intense and of prolonged duration, not that the vintage version he is not a great power.

I like the spicy and daring way of mixing citrus with the ardor that it carries, where each one respects their moment of appearing and they intersperse a very organized alternation. Reminds a very fine man of his first hours!

It becomes very aromatic after a few hours, it has a slightly burnt woody background that contrasts with notes of dried rose petals, giving it seriousness, haughtiness and notoriety. In the middle notes is where his bottle makes perfect sense, that is, a sensation of robustness that oscillates between such a 'sensitivity' that it is still virile.

Its earthy odor at the end is well married to the resinous touches it carries in its base! You can see that this is not a fragrance properly built with the concepts of this decade, no, but a (more intensified) rereading of a masterpiece from other times, which the responsibility of its constructions bordered on perfection. I highly recommend!

Bertes

This really surprised me. It was a love at first sniff, but i was concerned about it turning too feminine and the longevity. The opposite happened.
This is quite sweet even a bit floral, but more masculine in my opinion. Not the leather-vetiver type of masculin, this is more of an intimate, romantic type of fragrence. Dont get me wrong i love to use this during the day, but it is just as perfect for a date too.
First i got pretty bad longevity, but one day i sprayed it on the back of my neck and on my elbow, and it lasted me a whole day. I mean just two sprays and i got whiffs of it multiple times. Not loud projection, but it stays for quite a while.

Sanguine_scenttrails

This is beautiful. For the price, you not only get an exquisite fragrance but a beautiful bottle and presentation. Many people have lauded the sophistication of Moustache EDP, which I completely understand. But for me it’s less “black tie CEO” sophisticate and more “wizard wearing an immaculate three piece suit.”

There’s something magical about this one- I think it’s the benzoin. It evokes cigar lounges and smoky tarot rooms. Like you’re sipping a cup of Constant Comment tea while etheric resin smoke wafts through the air.

As it dries down, orange peel and dried roses sit on a bed of cedar like magical ingredients waiting to be muddled in a mortar and pestle. Moustache EDP is herbal, smoky, spicy, and masculine leaning in a more natural way than most marketed masculine scents. This could easily be unisex, but it commands the air with gentle depth. Forget the comparisons to Tuxedo, this is incredible in its own right.

JuloK

On my skin the wood & pepper do not leave any space for other notes to shine. I wish I would be getting more of the heavenly vanillin and benzoin as others do, I wish I would get some more whiffs of the rose. Unlike any citrus, they are there, but burried deep bellow that terrible cedarwood, or better said - ISO E super. I can't understand how anyone can see this as classy or appropriate for a dinner in expensive restaurant. I don't see this on a man in a suit. But I certainly can imagine this on a mature bearded lumber-jack wearing corduroy pants and flannel shirt. Rough, dirty, hypermasculine. If that's your thing, you could like Moustache EDP. For me, it's NO. Luckily, I did not have to scrub it off. It disappeared itself from my skin with a blink of an eye.

timmybils

I really like this

vbs221

Never been so split about a fragrance as with this (and Tuxedo for that matter. They’re close enough).

Sometimes, I like it. I like that vanilla benzoin combo with the bit of pink pepper. Other times, I hate it. I hate the leather and the overpowering cedar, which makes the benzoin rougher. This can make it smell meh and like a predictable men’s fragrance.

Then other times, it is really pleasant and vanillic.

I wish there was a flanker that only had the vanilla, pink pepper, and orange. Remove the cedar, reduce the benzoin and patchouli. I would get in a heartbeat.

finalewalker

A unique, classy scent. Humid night smell. Reminds me of metal, hydraulics, engines, fuel... and sharp men. MJ - Beat It plays in my head when I smell this.

A Dior Fahrenheit vibe for sure. Same clothes, times, places.
This bad boy was made for leather jackets, 9-5 shirts and suits.

Longevity and sillage nosedives flat on my skin compared to my other fragrances I smell wafting on the air and catching compliments for 6+ hours unfortunately, but it's rather unique!

Jim_Smith

Vanilla beyond a certain intensity reacts horribly on me. Don't know if others smell it on me the way I smell it on me. It chokes my nose, with a nauseating sweetness, drowning out everything else. If you have the same issue with vanilla, you won't enjoy this.

HotNose

Smells like piercy patchouli, older scent for sure

dimgrego

I haven't smelled Tuxedo, this definitely reminds me of CH Prive. Especially at the dry down.
It's a night-date fragrance, for the colder weather.
Moderate sillage and performance but surely a value for money fragrance. I paid 38 euros for this and for this money you ll get more than satisfied. Give it a try.

arute.mishion

It was just normal smellin frag. Nothing much. An oud smells better than this. Its there behind my other frags collecting dust.

kaleb_mi20

This stuff is immaculate. Reminds me of Toy Boy but with a bit more class. There is an ambery leathery accord that pairs beautifully with the rose. As someone who does not prefer super sweet fragrances, this hits the perfect amount of it.

Louismanuel

Does not smell like Tuxedo. AT ALL!

You know, they used to say OPEL is the poor man's Mercedes. So in that context some who find these 2 similar/close may be right.

But in case you are looking for a Tuxedo alternative, DIVAIN -678 is the one. A much better alternative than Rochas and for half the price of Moustache.

Rochas Moustache is a very good for the price fragrance on his own. Just stop making silly comparisons.
I have all 3, so I know what I'm saying. Not just from hear say, or a brief test at some airport/store or at a friends place.
I have all 3, so I can compare them correctly.

Peanut44

Like Uncle Junior would say “ literally a cunt hair difference between this and tuxedo “.

Duxx

oh my god, gives me the light sweet vibe I love in BR540 but gives a warm, sweet woody backbone with just a hint of that old fashion powdery smell with a candied orange vibe from the mandarin, blended beautifully and really does have a great "niche" quality to it.

First smell first thought was "masculine BR540", obviously a different note breakdown but the structure reminds me of br540

Stinky whiskey Buttons

This is one off the best perfumes in the world imo, i dont know iff this was made to be a copy, and i dont care, cause it smells better then tuxedo ,thurathi, tux,bla bla bla, its simple and more a cologne/edt then a parfume, and thats what i love about it, its airy rose floating on a wave off pink pepper, warm spicy but still manages to stay airy and not dence.
It works all year around, and i would pick this over enny off the perfumes that i own, maby Ani would give it a run for its money but it lacks the year around trait and will punch your nostrils like Mike tyson iff you wear it in the summer.

I want to sing Moustache Edp more praise but i think this parfume will be best tested, cause words do not make it justice... Its not a complex or artsy affair, its for the everyday wear, lingering around you like a aura off pleasures for the sences.

TonyAKAMrClean

A friend of mine has YSL Tuxedo, so I was able to compare both. I can confirm that this smells nearly identical. Amazing performance as well. I think this might even be stronger than Tuxedo. 3 sprays of this last night are still going strong, over 12 hours later.

Fortyfree

@delancy, OK will have to check again and see? Has the edt juice always been pink, as the picture on the 1949 page (2018) doesn't look as intensely pink as the one I saw in store?

Update: Checked again and it is Eau de Parfum - but with pink juice? (is a tester bottle though, if that would make more sense???)

delancy

@fortyfree You're confusing the EDT (pinkish juice) for the EDP (the frag on this page), they're two completely different fragrances.

delancy

Very impressed.

Peppery, sweet orange (almost confectionary-like, but in an old-school 1920s style English confectionary store way) opening with a seductive vanilla rose mid and dry down. The benzoin and patchouli tie it all together and drive it, the florals (rose) really come alive in the mid and dry down. An addictive fragrance. Leans more traditionally "masculine".

Love this juice. Can see myself wearing it all throughout Autumn and the first 1/3 of Winter before it gets too cold. Don't know why I waited so long to add this to my collection!

I will say, as much as I personally love this, I can actually see this being divisive, some people will find it a bit cloying. A bit too astringent or piquant for some noses.

Edit: Yeah can confirm that the longevity of the current batches of this is weak sauce. Turns into a skin scent after a couple of hours. My bottle is 04M35M031 (2022-01-31). From the reviews below it seems to be a problem from the 2022 batches and onwards, the 2021 batches and older seem to be fine longevity-wise. My advice would be to track down an older bottle. I still love this frag but it's definitely not a performer...

Fortyfree

People talk of reformulations, well I'm no expert, but I have owned this fragrance for over a year and the bottle I have is exactly the same as the one pictured. It has golden coloured juice visible.
I was in a fragrance store today (actually the same store where I bought mine from) and saw this on sale, but with a rose-coloured-pinkish-juice inside the bottle?

I didn't smell it as I already had tried too many other things.

It's very strange that the actual colour of the liquid in the bottle has completely changed though???

Why has this happened?

And no, I'm not talking about the EDT or 1949, I've checked. It's a tester with rose-coloured liquid.

borys

I have both the EDT and EDP. They are totally different. I like them both, but let's look at the EDP now - it is very good, and it gives me sort of a Gucci EDP mixed with Gucci EDP II vibe. Plus something else I know, but forgot the name of. I think that instead of buying the two bottles, I could have purchased 50ml Lutens Chergui or Amber Sultan for that similar vibe and much better performance that this Moustache EPD.

refinednostrils

I bought this out of curiosity due to comparisons being made with Tuxedo, which I have. I will say that yes there is some similarity but not by much. Tux is in a class of its own, but rochas offering is definitely a worthy frag in its own right too although I do get bored of it after a while of wearing it. Good value for money too.

Orangeboom999

Suave, sophistication in a bottle. Odd name for this. This is what James Bond would wear.

Iwantcompliments2

Wish this had a stronger projection. Great smell otherwise.

remyernstsenre

There are no discounters in my country, as in there are some that say they are discounters, but are often more expensive. So you really have to hunt for the best deal. This fragrance may be cheaper elsewhere, but in my country. It's about the same price as a classic Chanel (not Bleu or the Allure flankers) and Dior fragrances. Which is a much better deal than this.

After being in this "game" for some time, I have changed my mind about this. At first I thought it smelled great, a bit weak, but great. Now I think it smells cheap and more like Wunderbaum. To those that don't know what it is. It is small scented boards shaped like a tree, meant to be hanged up in your car. And only the "white trash" had it in their cars.

I'm actually happy I accidentally lost the nozzle to this, because it's that foul.

I haven't smelt YSL Tuxedo, but I kind of want to just to say how wrong and rude people are for comparing these two.

I bought this on a recommendation from fragrance youtubers (You know those who promise that fragrances will drop the panty of others). Well, that's a long time ago and I've learned. But they're wrong, about everything and scam artists is a fitting name for them.

suzanne_ronald

BENZOIN RESINOUS VANILLA with Pink Pepper. This smells like an enhanced pure benzoin essential oil, which in its undiluted form comes in a thick syrup that smells like congealed vanilla, with faint hints of rum, raisin, wine-flavoured cigarillos and tea & tobacco leaves. Moustache EDP has that, but plays up those faint hints. Straight up unisex after the opening 30 minutes, which leans slightly masculine with aromatic & fresh spices. Then it deepens into the benzoin heart with near-plum/raisin, balmy, zingy vanilla with trace tea & tobacco leaf (not listed). Well above average performance & longevity (9-12 hours on skin, +24 on clothes, plum-y resinous projection 3-6 feet). Batch nos. 04L47L176 (June 2021), and 04L47J245 (September 2021), both tested.

Contrast to Tuxedo Yves Saint Laurent:
These are different, but there are similarities with spicy rose, vanilla & patchouli. These have different kinds of amber, but dressed in a very similar way. Tuxedo has coriander instead of pink pepper up top, and the patchouli is more forward and obvious but there is a similar overall vibe.

Contrast to Kismet for Men Maison Alhambra:
This is a dupe of Moustache EDP Rochas and I would say it's about 90-95% similar although it might get more similar with an aged bottle. In Kismet for Men, vanilla-vetiver-patchouli does a good job of giving an impression of the benzoin in Moustache EDP Rochas. The opening fresh & warm spicy notes last longer in Kismet for Men, but the benzoin in Moustache EDP is more swoon-worthy for those who don't go nose-blind to it. Overall, this is a pretty good dupe, but not better than the OG Moustache EDP imho, since the benzoin is my favourite part. Moustache EDP has better performance.

Contrast to Ambre Noir Yves Rocher:
These are different but there is a similar vibe with vanilla & patchouli. Ambre Noir has a different kind of amber - more traditional, while Moustache EDP has benzoin. Moustache EDP outperforms.

Overall: This was love at first sniff for me, and left me panting for a back-up bottle. It only gets better with time - both on the skin and in the bottle. So good you won't even care if other people can't smell it. 10/10. Enjoy!

Tony Shades

So, I finally got myself Moustache EDP. I like the woody spicy amber scent profiles a lot and I'm lately interested in these smoky variations.
It's indeed related to Ambre Noir, Bentley Intense and CH Men Prive, but it seems more refined, with some elegant powdery notes, probably coming from the rose and vanilla.
Can't confirm the similarity to YSL Tuxedo, because I don't know that one, but I like it regardless.
If you enjoy such fragrances, you need to try this one as well.

COFFISDEAD

I guess i got an old bottle because this is lasting alot longer than 30 min.

I like it!

Agent Strong

This must have been reformulated. My batch is from 9/22, and it only lasts about 30 minutes and then completely disappears. It's not just me, because I've asked other people and they can't smell it either. Yes, I know it's cheap, but it's not even worth what little they charge for it. A real shame, because it smells nice. I would suggest, if you want a designer fragrance in the same ballpark, spend a little more and get Pasha de Cartier Parfum. It costs about twice as much, but at least it projects and lasts most of the day. Dunhill Icon is good too and projects well and lasts a lot longer.

Mashy Washy

Smells really good but the performance is really bad. Cant even rate the performance as moderate

JDogg

Love the scent, amazing. Only thing is for me goes to skin scent in like 30 mins. I still recommend just to sniff your wrist cause it’s that good especially at the price.

JustMyVibe

Interesting combination of Citrus, Vanilla, and Woods. It almost smells like a classy Creamsicle. Lasts around 4-6hrs on me. But I tend to go nosebleed fast because I can't stop smelling it!

I haven't tried Tuxedo but this definitely makes me want to try it.

fragrantlyenhanced

ill just say it that tuxedo is better. but only upclose. its literally only catering to the projection tuxedo lacked. i actually love the opening the pink pepper/mandarin a lot. for some reason it conjures n image of like a higher class 1800s river boat cruise... i bought this around the same time i was playing a lot of red dead 2 and it fits the vibe ngl. but ye from there still super similar to tuxedo after that the quality difference become more apparent. up close most prominently what you're getting is a soft musty wood that is almost skunky oud like but not totally, a very warm benzoin vanilla dominate which can smell a bit strong in a synthetic way but not horrible. but in the air a very creamy resinous vanilla rose fills the room. last decently aswell. overall great and especially for the price. its for a special occasion like tuxedo but wanting something that comes off the skin more for a cheap price. but still recommend tuxedo over it. it fits the special occasion purpose better cuz of its softer / higher quality composition.

YourWan

Every time I wear this it just gets better and better... Puts a lot of niche houses to shame... Top 3 Cheapy of all time... It fights it out with Bentley for Men Absolute and Baldessarini Ultimate for the crown... A+++++++++++++++++++++++++
You can't go wrong with ANY of the 3... Beautiful Scent... Good Projection... Good Duration....

Razvanf05

Great smelling fragrance but disappointing performance. Overspraying doesn’t help either, the longevity is just weak, in 30 mins it becomes skin scent.

Mrtbrcnl

That's my perfume! A beautiful scent with orange, rose and vanilla. Not cloying, slightly sweet. Slight note of dry tea (possibly patchouli). Good persistence, 6-8 hours on skin, longer on clothes. Fast drying with a pleasant benzoin note. Sophisticated, masculine, safe for middle-aged or older men. Suitable for day or night, office-friendly. Pleasant and harmless, not overly sexy. A bit old-fashioned, but I like it. Makes me feel like I'm wearing a suit and bow tie. 8.75/10.

Tyler2004durden

Unfortunately, I bought a full bottle of this and I don’t like it. It smells cheap to me. It’s similar to Tuxedo, but YSL’s fragrance is made with quality ingredients and you can smell the difference. I should have saved up for Tuxedo instead.

Bigmike650

Beautiful fragrance🔥 it’s smooth, sweet and spicy and opens up with a slight freshness in the opening. Definitely a cold weather fragrance. I wouldn’t wear this on a hot summer day but for fall and winter this perfect. Beastly performance off my skin as well. This gets compared to YSL Tuxedo, but I’ve never smelled Tuxedo before so I can’t compare them. Either way with Mustache EDP I don’t feel the need to smell or own Tuxedo. Especially for how much $ Tuxedo goes for 😵 Mustache EDP on the other hand is inexpensive and smells of great quality for midrange designer. I’ll be wearing this fragrance for formal occasions. It has a smooth sophisticated smell to it that I enjoy

Aggy 4

I quite like this. It isn’t mind blowing and it isn’t massively unique. But for the sort of scent it is, and the price point, it’s extremely good value. It’s not sickly sweet but it’s a heavy ish fragrance (is it’s not light floral or citrus as you can probably guess from the notes).

A lot of these types of fragrance go to sweet on me, whereas this remains with just the right amount of sweetness imo - quite restrained. But still a gourmandy vanilla. Some lean too feminine, but again I think this gets the balance right.

If this was going at 150 quid a bottle, I would probably pass. For the 40 quid or so you can get it though it’s a really good buy.

scentaddicted

I got this in a package deal when I purchased another fragrance. Overall the fragrance is quite nice and the presentation is very strong. That bottle is hefty and could surely kill someone if you hit them over the head with it. Even the cap could do some serious damage. I don't see this very much in the comments, but I do get a slight alcohol smell at the beginning in the opening. Likewise in the drydown I get some tobacco which I would expect to be a combination of the Patchouli and pink pepper, which serves to give additional complexity to this affordable fragrance.

There is quite a bit of woody notes at the heart of this fragrance. If I had to give one thing that makes it stand out, it's the little bit of spice over the floral notes. There is a little bit of spice, but not too much. I wore it on a rather warm day golfing and did not think that it was overpowering. Despite the reviews, I think you can wear this during the summer depending on your skin. It seems like an any-time fragrance to me. I do not get very much of the Mandarin Orange in the opening but once the cologne has dried down, the floral notes are very strong. I have not gotten any compliments on it yet but I've only worn it a couple of times so I do not know whether or not there will be any crowd-pleasing with this one yet. I increased the longevity on this review as I've noticed it lasting longer than when I wrote the review. A solid 6-7 hours at close range. Projects for about 2-3.
Smell 4.2/5
longevity 4/5
sillage 4/5
I have never smelled tuxedo so I cannot make any comparison.

Ben88

Bought the EDT and the EDP in summer 2021, funnily enough the EDT projects more and lasts longer for me, so I must’ve drawn the short straw with the batch variations regarding the EDP. Still nice though, very sunset-summery.

vbs221

It's a really good and mild, smooth warm fragrance. Some mild vanilla and a tiny bit of rose on a relatively leathery benzoin.

In short, it's a milder Bentley For Men Intense. It's BFMI without the booze and with much less patchouli. And while I'm usually not a fan of leather fragrances, I actually much, much prefer the leather in BFMI over here. Here it's dark and a bit harsh. It's like a dark brown leather, whereas in BFMI, it's a light brown smooth leather.

Moreover, the rum in BFMI gives it a nice and round sugarcane sweetness. I can't help but feel BFMI is the niche and deeper version of this. I usually prefer more unisex fragrances over purely masculine ones, but in this case BFMI just smells much richer and more expensive. I recommend getting that instead of this.

[email protected]

Fantastic. Love the play of the rose, sweet spicy pepper with the patchouli backbone. The vanilla is there, you get wafts of it but it’s not a bail out like it is for so many vanilla heavy designer fragrances. I’m getting some Naxos vibes. But I actually prefer this to Naxos because the black pepper lingers hours into dry down. I’m getting a strong cardamom note, but it’s not listed in the breakdown. Special.
I don’t understand where the “mild and weak” comments are coming from. This is one of my strongest fragrances. It may come down to how your nose works. For instance, I go nose blind to heavy ginger based fragrances after just a few minutes. If you are struggling to get a good whiff of this or any other fragrance I suggest spraying one good spray to the chest and then go about your day. Putting your nose to your hand and taking big whiffs will make you go nose blind in a hurry.

Afc_Croatian

I have never tried Tuxedo but I don't feel like I need to, considering how fantastic this fragrance is.
From opening to base, Moustache EDP is incredibly smooth: It starts with vanilla and pink pepper, that's what I pick up the most.
Then it quickly exposes a slight rose note which I love because it doesn't seem synthetic, this is smooth all the way through.
I can't believe the price point for this, overall the projection is okay and I still pick up on the scent from my body a few hours later.

8.2/10

KnightsD

One of my classier scents. It smells gorgeous. Wouldn’t say it’s like Tuxedo- but smells damn good on it’s own. Good longevity, decent projection but still a small scent bubble. Not gonna clear out a room with this one. But that’s great because it’s intimate, and classy as hell.

Scentsibilities

I have not smelled Tuxedo but this is fantastic with great longevity and projection.Despite being an effusive scent it has a sweet chocolately green quality.

This is very close to Roja Doves Midsummer Dream but fresher and less complex.10/10 quality price and compliment factor is awesome.

Perennials Guy

A nice complex, yet cozy fragrance. Very warm, sweet, and with a nice spice. A crowd pleaser.

HondaMan

in my top 3, amazing perfume with a lovely honey scent. -different from all the other similar imitations that are being released.
Purchased a 2nd bottle.

Porsche9!

First impression Bentley for Men Intense... Although much more wearable and pellet-able. I'm not saying its the same but its definitely in the same ball park and both are considered for older audience.

If you look at the note breakdown they have quite a few similarities. Like pepper and mandarin (bergamot) on top, patchouli, benzoin, and cedar. Actually 2/3 of notes are the same as in BfMI.

If you want to try Bentley for Men Intense I would strongly suggest to first buy Moustache because this is wearable unlike BfMI unless you are over 50yo.

Maybe not 5/5 for me, more like a 3/5, but have to try it more to give a final verdict. So far it projects allot from the paper (a few reviews said that it doesn't project).

Musick

Beautiful scent. It's very much worth the price. I've not smelled Tuxedo by YSL so I can't compare -- though I've only heard Mustache is more of a kin of it rather than a clone. Has a very nice fresh, citrusy smell to it. I want to describe it as an aged orange that was dipped in vanilla.

RobinFA

One of the best date night fragrances you can own. Absolutely incredible scent. The smell of luxury and class for such an affordable price. Cannot beat it

Denkmusic

I can speak only regarding January 2022 batch and only my nose.
I let the fragrance macerating for a week after purchase.
Everything I can detect so far is faint rose smell after 10-15 sprays if I put my nose directly to the spot. It has no sillage and no projection. Longevity is still few hours though.
I still think that it might change after few weeks, as it was with my Rochas Man (I'm super happy about Rochas Man, by the way).
If it will change, I'll update my review.
But so far I'm considering it as a blind buy fail.
Presentation is beautiful though. Solid hefty, almost 600 grams bottle and heavy metal lid. If I could use the bottle itself for another fragrance, I would keep it.

oldlifter

This has grown on me. At 1st, I thought it was a bit sharp & a pepper bomb. Fast forward a couple months & I appreciate it much more. There is pepper in the opening, but that gives way to a rich, mellow scent that people gravitate towards. I don't understand people who say this D/N last. If I apply 2 or 3 sprays before work, my wife still tells me I smell great when she gets home 11 hrs later.

EvangLiber

Ive just received my blind buy bottle. I liked it, plain and simple. In my personal opinion is a very shy opening that doesnt projects at all (not necesarilly something bad). Is a very subtile and pleasent scent. Is intimate ... I bet the ladies love this types of aroma. Its bringing me back memories from a fragrance that I've bough a lot of years ago FCUK FRICTION. I LOVED FCUK FRICTION but the performance was worst than Kenneth Cole's and Clavin Klein's Fragrances.... MOUSTACHE does remind me of Friction and at the dry down I can see the resemblance with NISHANE ANI. I'ver never tries TUXEDO from YSL so Can't really tell if what the majority of votes states is accurate (it must be thou).

CONCLUSION: is a Good perfume. You can find it at a very good price versus quality range. Ive paid $50 for a 2.5oz brand new bottle 7 months old Batch. Is a formal intimate scent to wear in special ocassions where crowded spaces are at hand so you wont be offensive with your perfume, ALL THE CONTRARY. People will compliment you.

ChezdeParfums

I smile every time I spray this on. The sharp pink pepper and mandarin opening is one of my favorites. The support of a smokey combination of benzoin, vanilla, and patchouli makes this such an easy wear.

palavra

beautiful, i wish it performed a lot more. I personally overspray it to balance it, and don't think anyone else will be offended by this smell. i like wearing this when im wearing something clean, it makes the outfit level up

beautiful... (yes, its a bit feminine, but its name is moustache so?)

Belgianbear

Excellent!

Ambienov

First time I applied this one i reckoned i had thrown my credits in a murky pond. Yes It did smell ok but nothing to write
home about. Very disappointed. Have applied it a couple of times since then and it has been ok but yet not satisfied....

Now, tired and somewhat indifferent to what I spray my self with months later I revisit and wow, It smells incredibly good. Still unsatisfied with performance but a scent to fall in love with in the moment!

Scentsorship

First wear: immediately likeable and interesting. To me it is sweet, woody, rosy, patchouli, and vanilla with maybe a hint of BR540 type sugar/leather down low, and I would say mild sweet & sour oud (the woody base). It reminds me of Franck Olivier Vanilla Oud/Touch with better rose and softer vanilla, crossed with a very gentle middle eastern patchouli/rose/woody, delivered in a very approachable western manner. It has the strange character of having more sillage than projection, where you can become noseblind and think it is weak and yet the rose and patchouli gently waft and the scent can be more noticeable on a walk than indoors. It does dry down to a very close skin scent, however, and doesn’t take long to do it.

FragranceAnon

I get an amazing, peppery cedar with a touch of warm sweetness.

Great for cooler weather. I think it deserves the hype.

DustyMemphis

@easybaymike, i don't know what you wash your clothes in, but i've never had a problem with any fragrance on my clothes!

vbs221

The cedar is too prominent in my opinion. I was picturing something along the drydown of Givenchy Pi—a warm ambery vanilla. But it’s not that. It has a slightly coarse cedar note that makes it more predictably masculine.

I’d suggest Givenchy Pi over this for pure vanilla warmth, or better yet L’Occitane Eau Des Baux for some cypress and incense added to it, or better yet Boucheron Jaipur Homme for some wonderful cinnamon spice added.

All those are better vanilla scents in my humble opinion.

easybaymike

Zesty, sensual, confident - reminiscent of The One EDP - fruity, peppery, a little leather, a little tobacco, dry tea... It's a seductive juice. Initial performance issues improved after letting the bottle settle.

My5Scents

Spicy peppery orange opening on a tobacco base, softened, lifted and made more interesting by rose. Soon the cedar and vanilla emerge. Somehow it’s so much more than the sum of its parts.
I do get the hype, it’s a great frag, classy, sexy and very well blended, it smells considerably more expensive than it is.
So adaptable too, it’s a great all-rounder that could be worn for any occasion in all four seasons.
Don’t get the comparisons with Ombré Leather so much, but the orange/pepper opening reminds me much more of Dirty English by Juicy Couture, except for the added rose and considerably higher quality ingredients.
My only complaint is my sample seemed quite weak, I needed multiple sprays to get a decent whiff, but once I did I was very impressed.
Do believe the hype!

Steveparadox

Nice fragrance, well blended and smells to be of good quality. Straight away I detected leather. After a few minutes tobacco is present. There is vanilla in there too. It makes me think of Ombre Leather and and D&G The One EDP. I've had this for a week now. The criticism for me is the performance. This is a very subtle scent that won't draw much attention.

Jeaq

This was not a love at first sniff; smooth non offensive vanilla, but then the rose-patchouli caught me off guard. After warming up to it and receiving compliments: it quickly became a go-to favorite for almost any occasion. Works great for layering. Maybe too cloying in the summer. Gotta try it out.

RisingChaos

Orange-flavored patchouli with a touch of rose. While it does remind me of Tuxedo, this is slightly more palatable to my nose without the dominating ozonic, medicinal violet leaf note and it's a smidge sweeter on top with the mandarin plus pink pepper. Dries down to a resinous musk skin scent. Moderate projection for 2-3hr, longevity 6-8hr.

I like this more because Tuxedo's violet leaf is just stanky off my skin, but it's still not to my tastes.

RobbieX

A superb smooth, warm spicy, vanilla and woody perfume. Good performance. Similar to Joop's WOW. WOW is more sweet however.
I love Moustache, it's really a great blend.
Oh, and I think the bottle is gorgeous.

*Update* Been wearing this on and off for a while now, and I can tell you....It's delicious

Ecomeco

I bought one bottle for my husband according to all these positive reviews. But i just hated it. It is a very heavy and strong perfume, and i belive the amber note distrubed me. It is definitely for winter, and maybe better on brownie skin.
Since i cannot stand it, we gave it to a friend...

CoachSignature88

Wow what a banger! I finally jumped for a 2.5 bottle and I’m so glad I did! I never smelt tuxedo so I can’t make the comparison. But this on its own is 10/10 frag 💯!
I will definitely shoot to grab the 4.2 ounces soon before prices keep going up as the masses realize how dank this frag is. It kinda reminds me of Sterling barbershop shave soap but a little more modern. This would definitely pair well with it. Buy this guys! It’s worth the hype truly! 10/10

GingyFragrance

I slept on this for awhile. It never really intrigued me with the note breakdown but I finally gave into all the hype and glad I did. Picked up a 75 ml for $40 with free shipping from fragranceX and I’m glad I did.

I was expecting a cloying sweet smell, with some woodiness undertones, but to my nose, this fragrance is pretty complex. I get the amber, vanilla and woodiness with a mysterious undertone of patchouli. There’s much more, but my nose is still on the beginner side of things and that’s what I initially pickup on.

To me, this does have depth and uniqueness so I would consider this signature scent worthy for myself. I could see why this scent may not be for everyone, but I think this is phenomenal for the price.

jellisunc

Im getting major Ombre Leather vibes from this (which I s a great thing)!! Its a fresher more citrus take on OL. Big fan of this one cant wait to see how it dries down!!

Edit: as it dries down it stays close to the opening only lighter and more vanilla. That opening is phenomenal though - great budget offering here!

avs1995

Smells amazing, doesn't last more than a couple hours. Leans more on the feminine side but still wearable as a man. Very smooth ambary rose creaminess. Sophisticated, elegant, and subtle. Won't purchase again because of poor performance

TonyAKAMrClean

I organize my fragrance collection by scent, and this sits in the middle of Pure Malt, Pure Havane, Guerlain Ideal Cologne, and Glenn Perri Unpredictable You.

It starts out reminding me most of Pure Malt, but within an hour, it starts to remind me of Marc Jacobs Decadence. Different notes, yes, but similar vanilla vibes.

So, is this as good as the hype would imply? Absolutely. I was hoping for more of a pink pepper/patchouli spice, but this is extremely smooth, almost as if it were a body oil, not an alcohol-based spray with a top note of pink pepper and patchouli in the base. Still, the scent, given the others it resembles, is absolutely good - no question about it.

AnosmiaAnosognosia

Just got this in today. Blind bought and I am glad I did. I got the 125ml for about 60 bucks on Fragrancenet. Yep, Smells great and manages to still be unique among my ever growing collection. Peppery, woody and a touch of sweet, slightly like cola, maybe a tiny hint of licorice. This has depth and to me, very interesting. Wife loves it as well. Just got it, so as always, I will come back after some time and wears and update.

3-4-23 Love it! Although it is a great fragrance, it doesn't stick around all day. As the day goes on it seems to sit pretty close to the skin. I'd like it to have a little more punch, but for the price and the way it smells, I am sure I'll buy it again. It is subtle, but awesome. It is possible I get a little nose blind, too. Big Thick and heavy bottle with a cool cap.

Aromatherapi

Fresh , light and Uplifting .
Just delicious and what a Bargain !

Blind Buy safe ........ It deserves all the praise.

Innocent_bystander

Adorable, hypnotising, sophisticated… Can’t get enough. Highly recommended. And the price… a joke.

DeathCasper13

I don't write reviews, I'm your stereotypical long-time listener, first-time caller.

This stuff is amazing. I genuinely don't know what I'm talking about, but I'd wear this any time, any day, because it smells so bloody good! It's summer here at the moment, I still used this on Saturday night for a nice dinner; and I loved every minute of it.

Vanilla&musc

I found out about this fragrance from the youtube hype that it had ongoing and I got a pretty decent offer on it, 20 euro for 100ml (left from a 125ml bottle). At first I found it kind of strange but after a couple more sniffs it started growing on me to the point where I really started enjoying it. Wore it on a night out and I must say that the dry down is really nice and sweety not overwhelming tho, it's just on point.

Bendking

Starts with top notes of prominently patchouli, pink pepper, cedar, and benzoin. then dries down into a sweeter vanilla-patchouli blend. People say this fragrance is for older adults, but as a teenager i think it has a bigger age range; 16-old. i like it a lot 9/10

MetaLVipera

A mature male scent. I love this. I liken it to Pure Malt because of the vanilla note. A winter fragrance suitable for men over 35.

dan12

I bought this a while back. It smells good in the bottle but on my skin way gross. It was recently being hyped again by YouTubers so I decided to try it again. I have yet to ever liked a fragrance they recommend. So I tried this again I get a weird smell it kinda smells like something harsh and dirty. Never Again

Somanysmells

Clean and elegant scent. I personally love it. At first it would seemingly disappear off my skin. I let it sit in a dresser drawer for about 2 weeks. Now it lasts forever. It might not project like crazy but this scent isn't meant to imo. However, it does stay with me now for several hours. I love it for the office. I love it for me haha. Highly recommend it

Gambit1976

Excellent scent for its price point, one of the unique frags among my collection as I mostly prefer freshies, but I do like it. A bit disappointed however as it seems true that the longevity is not that great (I have a relatively new 2021 batch.)

steynar

It's a little lighter than Tuxedo but it still smells amazing. At this price point it's a no-brainer.

Oh God - Oh God..!!
▪️Amazing and unique smell ☑️
▪️Addictive, alluring and sexy ☑️
▪️Compliments ☑️
▪️Great value for money ☑️
I prefer this one over Ysl's Tuxedo hands down! Back up bottle worthy for sure..!!!

Saltychipdust

After reading some reviews I think a few people are buying the original. This is not citrusy, soapy, or old man smelling. It’s a bland lighter version of Tuxedo, plain and simple. Another example is 480p to 1080p. It’s got some vanilla and benzoin. Moustache EDP is a real nice fragrance that has poor longevity and moderate sillage for the first hour. Skin scent in 2.5 hours for me.

Batch # 04M33M031

Warning I do love my sweeter/gourmand scents. Big fan of vanilla and spiced fragrances

Review:
Opening: get almost no citrus. Medium spice, Cedar absolutely punches me in the face. Not in a bad way but its def the strongest note off the top compared to everything else

Dry down: The cedar for me is still the strongest part of the scent. A little more sweetness comes through which is welcomed. I may be less sensitive to the sweetness/vanilla as I wear scents where those scents are in forefront so maybe ive gone slightly less sensitive to those. But this is a slightly sweet woody/smoky scent with pepper. For me its cedar/Pepper/Vanilla/Patchuli in that order of strength with other tiny bits in the background. But that cedar comes forward. Not in a bad way again but if you think a lot of the scents coming out lately are too sweet or you or prefer scents with a little more woodyness then this will be a dramatic winner for you. I def like it but I would like it more if the vanilla was a smidge more forward but thats just me. best way I could describe my position is I prefer the more pinapple sweet batch versions of aventus over the woody or smooky versions. Aventus is good regardless but thats the best way I can give some context to how I review this. Its a over all great scent and really does deserve the hype. If you are a person who might not like woody scents this might not be the one for you. I dont mind the woods and I will def be putting this in my cold weather rotation for when I want a sophisticated crowd pleaser that isnt so sweet/gourmand heavy.

Not gonna lie i didn't like it at first. Thought of giving it away. After wearing it for the whole day, i can sense that it's a unique fragrance for men. Floral with masculine vibe, but i see women can also rock this frag. I'm not a fan of its opening though, but the drydown I only can describe it as "BEAUTIFUL!, JUST BEAUTIFUL!". I love the rose scent in the drydown, floral & yet masculine in its own way. Beautiful.

EDIT: This is a WONDERFUL of a fragrance for men. One of my favorite now. WIfe loves to smell it on me.

samim69

I havent seen more overrated perfume as this one. I blind bought one after reading reviews in here and it wa a big mistake. It is soapy and with bad longevity ( 2-3 hours).

HansyBarts

Very good fragrance. Smells elegant, sweet and smoky. You can wear this in dates and cozy days. However longevity gives me around 2 - 3 hours which sucks. If it weren't for its performance I would give it 9/10. But still a very good fragrance. I'll give it 7/10.

MuscularMan27YO.

this is insanity right here , maybe a little bad longevity and not as strong as some of the best niches, but this is up there. . - I know what this is!. This is an much better, sweeter and less sour version of club de nuit intense man/aventus. This is not as powerful, but this one got that creamy amber/vanilla undertone and not the same heavy smoky undertone. this is not heavy at all which could be the expected when seeing the notes. that rose and mandarin is really fresh, not that heavy intense rose. Never any alcoholic smell making you dizzy- this is quality right here.
AND ofcourse this got that strong bentley intense peppernote. hate to take bentley intense as example as its the worst of my collection, that peppernote is the only thing good about it.

overall a 10 of 10 scent, 7/10 longevity and projection.

Camazing

Initial wearing has me mesmerized. The depth of warmth of this beautifully blended fragrance is a great blind buy….notes are as described. I see the lowness comparisons to Tuxedo but I have not smelled Tuxedo so my unbiased opinion with no comparison being made is that Moustache Is a beautiful fragrance meant to garner attention and snap necks. One wrist spray and I just keep catching whiffs 30 minutes in as if it was initial dry down. Happen to wear a hunting jacket out to check the mail (tested around the house) and it left a scent behind. Not good for hunting gear! Lol. For those that have never smelled Tuxedo either, if you’ve smelled Banana Republic tobacco and tonka it is similar but not at all the same. But the type of sweetness is similar so if sweets not you then maybe a pass.

IndefinitelyHenrik

Vanilla, amber. Didn’t care for it much at first, but it has slightly grown on me. Longevity is bad though. Sillage ok. Best during january-march.

Janpierre1

For me this is like a modern and sweeter version of Laura Biaggotti Roma Uomo which I love ❤️

MarkoPeeko

Divine. Simply stunning.

The way this is blended is an art form IMO. From the zesty, peppery opening to the woody, vanilla drydown.

The rose is here, but it’s not prominent. There are few rose scents I can pull off as it doesn’t work with my skin, but it’s heavenly as it combines with the mandarin.

Every now and then you discover a scent that blows your mind. It becomes either your regular go-to or your date night / special occasion scent.

I’m undecided where this sits for now.

Blown away. A ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ banger.

FirstSense

If this one didn't have that awful much to strong pepper note that is also badly blended into the composition Moustache EDP could have been a wonderful perfume. The dry down is very good. But that pepper....hurts my olfactory system until the end. Dommage.
Edit: 31-1-23
Maybe my judgement was like the peppery character of this frag a bit to harsh. The dry down is actually very good after a year of maceration. The vanilla woody spicy smell is rather nice. And the performance is excellent.

Crobe

Burnt marshmallow. I like it!

Rochas Moustache is the only fragrance that I would wear for all seasons and occasions. It's uplifting, fresh and a little bit classy and warm.

Once spray, I was hit by the fresh and sweetness of the citrus with the hint of smoky floral too. The citrus note presents the edible sweetness of citrus candy than the fresh scent in perfumary. The spiciness from pink pepper was subtle and light, I almost did not recognize it.

After 30 minutes, the sweet/fresh mandarin orange faded and the smoky rose note appeared boldly. It's masculine and strong, but this transition scents are not my favorite.
After an hour, the scent is totally different. It becomes clean and sweet while keeping the vibe of a gentle and classy person.

Rochas Moustache projects within arm length for the first 2-3 hours and lasts on my skin for 5-6 hrs+. I love the bottle designs: The box, the bottle, the cap, everything. However, this is a rare case which I prefer the smaller bottle version of 75ml because it feels more elegantly while holding it within my size of palm. The 125ml seems a little bulky to my taste.
7/10

Rochas Moustache EDP opens with vanilla right away and then you get nice hints of tobacco. Very nice and smooth fragrance, vanilla, tobacco, woody and smoky goodness. Very nice presentation all around and $40 total for a 75mL bottle? Doesn't get much better than this.

BATCH REVIEWED: 2022 (#04M35M167)
*WOW RATING: 8/10. Very unique smelling, not your average smelling fragrance.
*UNIQUENESS: 8/10. Smoky, vanilla tobacco that's not overbearing at all.
*MASS APPEAL: 8/10. Vanilla in the opening to pull you in, and smoky goodness in the dry down, hard to go wrong with.
*PROJECTION: 4/10. Decent, about 3 feet from the wearer, this is mainly a evening/night time fragrance so it doesn't need to be too loud.
*SILLAGE: 4/10. Decent, again mainly for evening wear so doesn't need to fill up the room.
*APPLICATION: 5 atomization's.
*LONGEVITY: 6/10. Moderate, about 5 hours, it projects well for about 2 hours.
*SEASONS: Fall, Winter, colder days, and climate-controlled environments.
*OCCASIONS: Formal events, outdoor gatherings, casual, holidays, romantic, dating. This fragrance is office friendly.
*VERSATILITY: 8/10. A highly versatile fragrance, I don't mind wearing it during the day but targeted more for evening wear but all around you can wear it day or night during the colder months.
*GENDER: Masculine, the tobacco notes are something you can pickup on fast and is a bit too strong for a female wearer to pull off, not totally impossible though.
*AGES: 18 and above.

RECOMMENDATION: Rochas Moustache EDP can be purchased for about $40 for a 75mL bottle. It is a high-quality fragrance, ideal for young adults and above, that enjoy vanilla and smoky fragrances. It is a nice to have.
*BLIND-BUY: Yes, if you are familiar with fragrances with tobacco in it. I don't want to make it sound like this fragrance has a super strong tobacco smell but it's noticeable.

SUMMARY: A moderate projection, vanilla, tobacco, smoky, amber fragrance with some sweet accords. The fragrance feels casual, classy, elegant, formal, high-quality, more masculine, mature, pretty versatile, and pleasant.

Ba2siK

Smells like a sweet version of Terre D’Hermès for me.
Very weak, I can't smell after 1 hour...

Bacon18

I love this!! Sweet with cedar and floral tone but not goumand, plus a hint of spice with smoky dry down. Overall very balance scent.

The smoke in this remind me of aventus/cdnim (which I love)

Performance is unknow, haven't worn it enough yet

Beans_on_toast

I recently blind bought both Moustache EDP and Detour Noir. Today they both came and I've had them on side by side the entire day. Honestly they both smell super similar to me with Detour Noir being on the sweeter side.

Both smell great but If you have Layton or Detour Noir, I don't think you'd really need this. If you don't have either then this is a great option for that profile that those scents offer.

BigLongNose

Smells lovely. Candy sweetness with boozieness

assim.hayderi

Love at first sniff. Unique and not offensive at all. Should definitely work as an office scent. 10/10.

ivelino

Yes it's pleasant for the time it lasts which isn't very long. I don't dislike it but don't love it either....try it before you buy yourself the mustache :), and decide for yourselves.
