St dupont famme perfect for any occasion. Performanse is amazing. This fragrance has that vibe from 70es, but in good way. Fragrance is fresh and clean, aery and comfortable.

Liene

If I would have to guess decade by smelling this, I would get it with the third try starting from 70s up. It is classic floral chypre, indeed, and its interpretation is true to its roots, not much modified and adjusted for current day (or, oh well, 90s).

Then again, it is well rounded and easy to wear nevertheless; I guess it have some adjustments after all - its moss is not that piercingly bitter and deep, carnation is not overly spicy and galbanum, which is the most present from all notes, is not as sharp and green.
S.T. Dupont pour Femme even manages to get airy, almost fresh and tender contrast to its chypre character without aldehydes. I guess that beautiful trait comes from cyclamen accord.
This perfume is well worth a try.

Suited for transitional weather to and from cold, as it opens and projects nicer and more multidimensional on slightly warmer skin; daytime; moderate projection for up to five hours and then its performance slightly weakens for five more.

I can't believe, what I read here in the reviews. I smell literally nothing. Like water - a little sweetened. I don't think, that this is a perfume that would be faked, I simply don't understand it. Such a pity.

dualaokto

St. Dupont pour femme is a modern interpretation of floral chypre. Means, it's wearable, non-offesive, and contains only fair amount of oakmoss. I enjoy wearing this for daily office setting. It has a classic vibes in it but with a modern touch, i think the musk and woody notes prevent the oakmoss and galbanum from taking over this perfume. Pretty, crisp, and elegant. Noticeable but definitely not a statement. I love the bottle.

Laziza

I used it 20 years ago and I loved it. Bought so many bottles of it as a back up back then so I still have one bottle left. I took it out couple weeks ago and oh I still love it!
It’s classy, elegant, sophisticated, sexy. I obviously had a great taste even when I was young! 😂

It’s woody, sweet, some white flowers and amber. Very feminine, elegant and seductive.

Maybe because it’s already an old bottle, the smell is very strong. I Only spray once and the scent takes over the room. Not sure if the current versions are as strong as this one.

It’s definitely an evening perfume, very feminine, for a beautiful date dinner with candles and champagne.

Aromantra

A chic classic chypre that is both light yet noticable. It has a timeless quality and is not too retro/vintage in its composition. Well blended, sophisticated and works well for both formal and casual settings.
It opens as woody-floral with a slight powdery element and gets ever so slighty sweeter as it dries down. Something you/your mother/grandmother could wear easily without any age limitations. Affordable, elegant and smells more "expensive" than it actually is. In addition, it has great performace (up to 8 hours). Very happy with this purchase.

I don't remember how, but some years go a sample of this perfume was found in my hands. Immediaterly i fell in love with it and some weeks after i managed to buy it. So clear, spicy and fresh, so well blended! I love it! The only negative, is the
spray, that is designed to be impressive, but, almost immediatelly broke down. I had to broke the bottle, in order to pour the perfume to another bottle. Big, big trouble, i lost a lot of the perfume and i was furius. A lot of this precious perfume, lost.

My darling Bertrand D. thank you for this pure feminist cold but vibrant perfume. This is the smell of power, the smell of the 90 top Executives women next to the late Escada Tender of the deceased feminist brand Escada who was killed, unfortunately, after the death of M.L.
My dear potential ladies, if you like Chanel 5, La vie est belle, Alien or other fragrances for mimosas let the Dupont for your stinky hands, it isn't for you, this is for Top. This is the scent of Safra C. not of the Kardashian family.

elliya1980

I have new version. it is a light simple chypre floral to me. Clean and powdery like makeup scent.
If I want to smell fresh and clean while I feel dizzy with a strong scent, yes, this is my best choice, not overpowering but still noticeable. I got compliment while wearing this. Great for everyday use.

Agnesca

I think, anyone who is more or less familiar with the great chypre classics will find the scent of this gem familiar, too. I agree it smells not only classic but almost vintage, very green, citrusy and dry if not adstringent, no sweetness here, for sure. However, ot has it's own special warmth to it, especially once it settled and warmed up on the skin. I smell it's fruitiness only after it settles. It's definetely better and classier after the first 15-25 minutes of wearing. I could imagine this beautiful perfume as a signature of an elegant and professional lady or as a special ocassion fragrance for anyone who loves classic chypres.

HOUSTONHOUSTON

Bought from Fragrancenet. Very generic. It is NOT a chypre. Watery, smells cheap. Kinda 99 store scent. Do not blind buy, folks! Expected to get a great classic cheapie. Nope.=)

Vilik

This was a blind buy after reading all the reviews from here. First 10 min i was really dissapointed, smelled like a 70years old lady perfume. I couldn't believe...after all this good reviews. But, after that 10 min it changed, it is a different perfume.i am not good in picking the exact notes, but i can say that is an amazing woody-floral.

Bebe70

I grabbed this gem some days ago and I feel so lucky!
It is lemony and sour, but not fresh. But I think that was the purpose. Dupont pour Femme is not the type of the fresh everyday perfume that you can wear in the morning before going to the office or before going to the gym. Yes, it's citrusy, not sweet at all, but in its own very special dark way.
It is precious. Extremely feminine and elegant. Keep it for the evenings and for very special occasions. A perfume an old-movie star could wear in her night out at an expensive restaurant. I can't beleive it was launched in 1998!....This is like it's coming from the '50s or earlier.
And the box! Oh, that box! It looks sooooo expensive! Dark blue velvet with golden letters on. The most beautiful perfume box ever! You couldn't possibly throw it away.
Dupont pour Femme is a glamorous, sophisticated, unforgettable perfume.
Grab it wherever you find it! 💙 ❤️

pinarbab

Ok this is so elegant and sophisticated, yes a bit oldfashioned and old lady smell but so elitist. I can't feel the fruity tones yet more like something soft green.

spinderella

Allright, I have been looking around on the web, and the à la Française version is just different. Not a chypre, but a floral fruity. That doesn't make my heart sing.
Notes:
Top: lemon, grapefruit, citron, bergamot and lime
Middle: Lavender, rosemary and verbena
Base: Neroli, iris and benzoin

I think I will stick to the original. More elegant and quirky in my opinion....

intesmas

The first time I tried this fragrance I was a little disappointed, because I expected the top notes to be more fruity instead of spicy green. Meanwhile I have come to realize that I simply wasn't used to such dominant galbanum, which also does not fade much with time. Anyhow, S.T. Dupont pour femme is an elegant floral scent, more earthy than woody, but I honestly cannot detect any fruity components. It is light, yet sophisticated and classy, maybe even too refined for an everyday scent, more for special occasions.

Lasting power is much longer than I expected, up to 12 hours, and its sillage is pretty heavy too, so you get above average quality for a fair price. I addition the bottle has the first hinged cap I have ever come across in perfumery, and it is also noteworthy that this fragrance comes in an exceptionally good atomizer, that generates the finest mist.

spinderella

Does anybody know if the "à la française" version is different from the regular one? The bottle looks the same except for the addition of the above mentioned subtitle. I love the Original, and this made me curious.....

valefranco755

One of the best women's perfumes I've ever tasted.
The wake it leaves is incredible. It lasts me until the next day. You can not ask for anything more because it is really perfect.

It is very sensual and feminine. I recommend it to any woman who wants to seduce and seduce herself.
Unique ... never felt something as special and mysterious as this perfume.
They should never have discontinued it. Its blue suede box is beautiful as fine as its bottle.

I imagine Virginia Madsen using it. This aroma is the way to paradise and makes me feel that everything is sublime...
Sexy Sexy Sexy Magnificent!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unforgettable
10/10.

LuvTea

One of my loves for sure.
I find it classical, but not out dated.
Great silage and longevity.
Just one spray is enough to smell wonderful for hours.
I find it a gem.

preferOrientals

Heavy, sexy, dry, serious. A floral Chypre. Smells expensive, requires confidence, not really for daytime. Big sillage. Nothing sweet here, almost vintage smelling. Dry. This is above average and I look forward to wearing it more. Did I mention it’s dry?

mapache

Just did a side-by-side of ST DUPONT FEMME EDP and Balmain de Balmain. The Balmain has been in my top 10 list for awhile !! Yes...they do smell similar for sure.
However...gasp !!...I think the Dupont may de-throne the Balmain for me....lol. Also, I recommend the EDP version of Dupont over the edt. The edt is "screechier" ,,just a bit. I will be also investigating the above Givenchy Bois de Oud as well !! This Dupont is classic, vintage bliss.

confusion

Complex and well constructed chypre. Starts a bit sharp, develops a blast of florals, ends clean. Not a bit sweet, grown up, mature, sophisticated. This is not for girls loving La Vie est Belle, this is for women who experienced that life isn't always sweet and nice, but complicated and complex, that bitterness is sometimes very welcome.

Nikkafragrance

Beautiful. Rich, full-bodied very womanly perfume with very well balanced notes. Smells much more expensive than it is actually. I detect carnation and amber, a perfect scent for fall. I want it asap.

JovitaG

I had it in 2002 and it was wonderful. So sad that the new version is totally different...

Glarnere

I got an old version of this... OMG! This is truly amazing and classic perfume. I am so not to chypre category, but i absolutly love this one.

azzam j

masterpiece
very very sexy

Perfume very sexy does not give an opportunity to wait or even talk
One of the finest women's perfume stunts

Deadly weapon to seduction men...

spinderella

This one is rather complicated to me.I bought it together with its younger sister S.T. Dupont intense pour femme, but they are very different scents (blind buys, by the way). This one starts very bitter on me (probaby the galbanum, a bitter green, according to the description), but after a few hours it becomes a soft, clean and sophisticated scent (really clean, no detergent-scent). Very nice, but the topnotes were a bit of a scare. Worth its (low) price, but the "intense" is easier to like.
Edit: After another day of sniffing my arm it starts to grow on me. First thing, this morning when I woke up there was still a trace of pleasant clean-ness left, so it has very good staying power. And now after a few re-applications during the day to familiarise myself with the bitterness in the topnotes, I really start to appreciate it. It has a crispness that comforts me. I am going to buy a 100ml bottle. In my experience the real things of beauty take some time to appreciate.

madinat

One of my favourite perfumes of all times. Inexpensive, amazing smell and crazy long lasting. I love it since 10 years.

Rosalie Stanley

Honestly, this smelled like the fennel bush. It was so strong to me, that I felt I was rolling in a meadow of fennel. Can't say that often enough.

TataBlinova

My imagination creates the image of a strong successful self-sufficient yet very tactful and self-possessed business woman when I smell this fragrance. I would definitely use this one for important business meeting to reinforce the image of reliable and experienced professional. It’s a pure elegance with no aggression.

donnAPic

deep, complex, it changes several times during wearing Very femminine but it' s a little retro-type

adami

Perfumes have a life of their own, and this one is a case in point. I bought a sample, which I first tried in cold weather and found a very good office scent, all ready for that adept, cool professional look... except on a person 2-3 decades ago.

Tried it again today in warm, slightly humid weather: pure indulgence! The lady has taken off her business jacket, has let her hair down, her office is now closed, the hours are golden, and she surely means business... that is, the business of enjoying herself. It's like all the senses awaken, and her perfume awakens too: sensual (but every bit a lady still), full, well rounded, almost opulent but still controlled, never succumbing to excess. An Ava Gardner kind of personality. Flowers and woods, true, but there is also something about the blend (cyclamen, magnolia, carnation... how unique!) that makes it unmistakable. And timeless.

I guess I understand its needs and nature now, and they agree with me (and I with them). I'm gonna buy a full bottle soon...

To DiaAnna:

It is not discontinued, it is still available, produced by InterParfums.

lirael00

Oh, I love this one. It makes me feel like a sophisticated lady. It is a little bit similar to Balmain, but that's only a plus in my book. I'm not a fan of so called green perfumes, but sometimes I'll just find the right one that doesn't bother me. I really fell in love with this one. To me it's a perfect union of galbanaum and magnolia, and that musky smell that stays on my skin, it's heavenly. Great lasting power too!

Mojtabaa

As a young man, I really love this scent...

Can young men wear it???

physalis

WOW, such a interesting and complex green chypre!!

I love the evolution of this fragrance on my skin, I can feel its bitter green galbanum, then an explosion of cyclamen and the complex floral bouquet, consolidated by the strength of carnation, patchouli and oakmoss. Beautiful!!

It's retro, it's refined and elegant.

Unfortunately, I must confess that I have to carefully choose occasions to use it, because this is a mature fragrance made for mature noses.

Catty

I used that very often in the 90s...very womanly, very refined, perfect for Business or formal occasions ...I love it! I will purchase it again very soon ...

Rizaldo

Love!!!! Very elegant.

Amal Tayssir

I believe that not everyone can carry this fragrance. It really needs a mature and confident woman to give it its rightful weight.

One of my favorite Chypre

Alelhi Monterrubio

PricklyAndHot

Strict enough chypre fragrance.

The most noticeable note in this fragrance is the galbanum note mixed with the noticeable mandarin, melon, gardenia and ylang-ylang notes on the not too amber or musky base.

Not bad, but I can't say that I like this chypre fragrance a lot. I wish it was a little bit more feminine.

Evredika

For me it seems too heavy, too old-fashion one, being a lover of sweet-fruity smells, I can hardly bear it. It is strong and stays with you for long hours...unfortunatelly.

JoannaM

Beautiful, elegant scent. reminds me of Coty's "Masumi" which I used to wear long time ago. Perfect for Autmn/ Winter time.

olga1780

Beautiful fragrance, soft and elegant. To me it smells more like floral aldehyde and I don't detect any fruits at all. In terms of it power it can be very worn on a daily basis, because it's not in your face scent, although it does asserts its presence. But I really can't see anyone wearing it with jeans....it just has to much class bout it. It reminds me a little of So Pretty by Cartier.....gives you the same aristocratic feel.

suzy Nasr

My Signature scent. BEAUTIFUL

maiker

This is a great perfume, unique, sensual, and very classy, is you want to feel sensual, buy it,

Action

I am amazed that so many people do not like this one! I LOVE this classic perfume!!!

LIN

I agree that that's a powerful and classic fragrance. very unige and sexy for my taste. not my favorite of all times but worth a try for strong and comfident weman.

My darling

I love this perfume forever! It is the most Elegant aroma, which I know. Smells of luxury.

roxirox

this is a powerful fragrance, it lasts very long. i agree that it is a classic perfume, and it is a typical scent for the 90s(my favorite scents are from the 90s).it's very feminine but also clean, not at all overpowering. i wear it as a day time perfume.i believe that this is a well made, very put-together scent.

Calyx

With all due respect to NLS, I'd have to disagree that this is suitable for daytime/everyday wear. This stuff is extremely strong--my skin eats strong perfumes like Tresor or Eden for breakfast, and S.T. Dupont wouldn't come off even when I wanted it to! I could still smell traces of it on my skin two days later.

MK

I like it very very much. I always prefer classy, chypre notes. As for me this perfume you can wear every day , you can be stronger and more daring but you will stay a real Lady.
I always thought it was launched much earlier than in 1998. Maybe I smelled the similar scent before?

NebraskaLovesScent

S.T. Dupont Pour Femme is a perfectly adequate chypre floral. I don't get a lot of the fruits in it, but the florals and the woods/moss dry-down are very detectible.

I wish I could think of something special to tell you about it, but honestly, it's pretty average. Very pleasant, but it will smell familiar to you if you're a fan of chypres and have tried a lot of them already. They certainly didn't invent anything new with this one.

That being said, it smells lovely, and it has better-than-average persistence. I applied it 12 hours ago and can still smell it, even on my wrists.

If you're a fan of the chypre/chypre floral category and you see this one at a good price, it's worth a purchase. It would be a good daytime/everyday wear fragrance.

yzqrvpx

This is an awful mess of mixed up notes. Agree with previous reviewer, it does smell like an old, classy lady. Not a modern scent at all. Belongs to those who need an overload of flowers and musk and the ability to tolerate the headache-making ability it embodies.

lucy77

i think it smells like an old classy lady lol...................haha i dont like it, so many flowers and smells awful...strange!!!!!!!!
