Kâshân Rose by The Different Company is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women and men. Kâshân Rose was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Emilie Bevierre-Coppermann. Top notes are Litchi, Pink Pepper, Sage and Cardamom; middle notes are Rose, Peony and Hawthorn; base notes are Musk, Ambrette (Musk Mallow) and Sandalwood.

Just before Summer 2013 the collection of L'Esprit by the house of The Different Company has been expanded by three fragrances—South Bay, Kashan Rose and White Zagora. All three compositions are signed by perfumer Emilie Coppermann, who enriched them with refreshing summeriness and a dashy stamp. Fragrances of the L'Esprit collection are available in flacons of 90 ml EDT with tags bearing the names of the fragrance and the olfactive pyramid of each announced composition.

Kashan Rose is a surprising fragrance, developing with notes of the Persian rose celebrated at the festival of the rose in May in the city of Kashan, the first oasis in the region. Top notes provide a fresh and spicy blend of sage, litchi, pink pepper and cardamom, while creating a unique mixture of aromas leading to the Persian rose in the very heart. Rose flowers are surrounded with hawthorn and peony, on a base of ambrette, sandalwood and musk.

Opening notes remind me of Florida water. Then out pops the rose that isnt a rose. It's a peony disguised as a rose but it never quite shows itself. Then it all fades away like a promising dream. I want to go back and find out what this is supposed to smell like but I cant put my finger on it.

Either I am anosmic to something in here or Kashan Rose has nonexistent sillage and longevity. I prefer Rose Struck and Rose Olivier to Kashan Rose. Same vibe.

Update: I let the bottle sit for a while and now I get fresh green sage (not the dried kind). It's beautiful. I will keep the bottle since I got a good bargain, but I don't classify this as a rose perfume.

between musk

most beautiful rose in the world.

Beautiful bottle. I love TDC, however this one reminds me rose scented detergent powder. Also reminds Chloe.

aspirina

fresh rose scented water, all pink and girly, energizing and beautiful, but oh so short lived! no more than 30 minutes on skin with a minimal sillage. What a waste of a beautiful scent, they should try to improve the formula!

Pianomelody

Very romantic and a bit nostalgic, a sentimental perfume. It reminds me of spring days, the first fresh air, the timid sun... it is a beautiful fragrance that is very versatile and particular. With a slightly sparkling and young character, a beautiful fresh and dynamic rose with pink pepper and sage accents that give "dustiness" and character, a youth and carefree enclosed in a fragrance.

A lovely aromatic rose paired with cardamom and sage. Dries down to a soft, musky floral. Great scent for those who like rosy scents but not straight up rose soliflores. Also, one of the best cardamom notes I've sniffed, but it fades away too soon.

Sweet peony, litchi, & pink pepper.

It has the roses but hidden behind the sweetness of the litchi, and the peony cause i can sense the sharpness within with the help of the pink pepper. Cardamom, & sage is there, but i can barely detect musk, or the musk mellow.

It wasn't impressive when i first sprayed it as i felt it was like a cheap mix of fruit and rose, but later when it calmed down it changed into something fairly interesting.

"Kashan Rose" is lovely - opened with a wonderful mix of fresh rose with loads of litchi and zest of both lemons and pink pepper!
This is a grown up fruity rose and it reminded me a bit of "Stella" just with less greeness.
"Kashan Rose" on me lasted some good 5 hours, but stayed close to skin.

As others have stated - there is nothing overly unique in this and I could bet you can find similar designer fragrances, this doesn't smell too natural either.

But, the overall scent is well made and I will def. look out for this at a bargain price. As for the full price - imho, not worth it.

a happy ,bright, fruity, light rose perfume.not bad,but not standout.there are many other rose perfume to choose from with lower price tag.

It's a fruity rose that smells like so many other fruity roses. It's nice, but it's very unoriginal.

I'm not convinced the rose here is a natural note. Obviously, I can't say for sure, but I feel like it's probably a synthetic rose. I'm not for a second saying that's a bad thing, but from a niche house at niche prices, I hope for a real rose in a perfume where rose is the main note (although in saying that, I'm no doubt happily wearing expensive niche perfumes that are way more full of synthetic florals than I realise, such is the way with perfumes).

I really like lychee. It's probably my favourite fruity note in a perfume and it works well here. It's light and juicy and adds an airiness to the composition rather than overwhelming.

The rose soon becomes peppery and it's a nice spicy rose, but still stays fairly light and airy.

The final dry down feels like there's a good dose of Iso E Super in there (it's done well enough, so that's not a complaint, just an observation).

It's nice. Light, airy, girly. It's just been done so many times before that it does't hold enough interest for me.

Kterhark

Tenacious, unchanging, 'green' rose.

I'm having a different experience with this fragrance, one of long lasting LOVE! I've tried litchi and pink pepper in other compositions, but here it works magically on me. Kashan stops way short of becoming a sweetened stinker, soaring off the skin in the most beautiful way.

Note: I recently went on an anti-inflammation diet, basically removing sugar, gluten, wine and dairy. My experience with perfume has changed; I smell them more strongly and my preference for notes has shifted.

This is the key to working with Kashan: You're already eating 'clean' and you gravitate towards fresh, green scents.

hadassa

Good quality aquatic floral. It has this ozonic (non-melony though), invigorating, clean, natural feel. No screechiness of cheaper colognes, this one is just right, pleasant from the beginning till the end.

There is clean spiciness underneath, nothing "Oriental" per se, but still something unusual for fresh crispy florals, it enhances the composition quite a lot. It's clean laundry, snow and white clouds fresh, but still somehow warm.

Peony is quite prominent here. The perfume reminds me a bit of Stella McCartney's discontinued In Two Peony, but Kashan Rose is warmer, more rounded, less masculine.

Arlene-Beatrix

It's fresh rose scent based on musk. Nothing exceptional, especially for a niche fragrance. Too delicate IMHO.

This is a second rose perfume I tried from The Different Company. The first one, Rose Poivree, was unusual and interesting, but unfortunately it did not work for me. Kashan Rose is quite opposite. It is certainly a nice and very pleasant scent to wear, but at the same time there is nothing new or unusual here. I thought that Kashan rose would be an exotic oriental beauty but this rose is a sweet and good-natured girl next door – nothing exotic but very sunny, happy and charming.

The scent opens with a lovely combo of rose, lychee and peony. It smells pleasant and fresh. I thought that there was also a bit of sparkly citrus in it at first. The scent is just simply pretty and happy. Thankfully, it does not smell synthetic like many modern scents with this combo. As the scent develops, the rose becomes stronger. A little bit of hawthorn is a nice touch. The scent stays close to the skin towards the dry down. The dry down is a light rose and sandalwood.

This one I think is a crowd-pleaser. It is light and pretty and could easily be worn as everyday scent for work and leisure. And though I did not find this scent groundbreaking, I enjoyed a lot wearing it. Overall score 8/10.
