Wish it were more almond-forward, it’s quite soapy to my nose unfortunately. But for those who are fans of soapy scents I think is super well-balanced.

jeannebelmondo

Reminds me so much of Close by Gap, give that a try if you're on a budget and are looking for a similar musky clean almond vanilla scent. It's saltier and not as soapy but has a very similar feel.

Violetgoblin

Smells exactly like Christina from Nabel on my skin. No difference!

iris

Not much... Musks, almond paste, semi-sweet vanilla. Ghosts of candied fruits and some flowers, too faint on my skin. Still waiting for the punchline. The cake in your oven makes a louder statement.
I know, it's a "cuddling" scent, but a good shower gel or home fragrance on your sheets would eat this for breakfast.
I have so many times enjoyed white musks and crisp shirts linked to purity and innocence, almond pastries to childhood memories or excursions to France. I don't mind the clichés.
But even innocence has a story to tell, or a space for you to insert your own. Here, it's too ambiguous and dense at the same time for any of this. Doesn't work on my skin, although, honestly, I can easily see it doing miracles on the right person.

petcake

Open up the little plastic bottles of ShurFine vanilla & almond extracts that have been sitting in the pantry since the Obama administration. Put the caps in your pocket. Then go to nana's nursing home and sit next to a floral arrangement and stare at a Thomas Kinkade cottage garden print for a few hours. This is the perfect scent for that.

AnastasiaGostieva

Soft, sweet and fluffy scent with gourmand, creamy and powdery almond. It smells like nice thick whipped cream with some meringue and almond chips. Sexy but also tender and dreamy at the same time. I think it’s kinda girly, but in a good way.

Becktothebone

Loves baby soft. A definite baby powder feel here.
Not for me.

TunyaPe

Clean powdery musk, dry laundry mimosa, nutty flax, and dusty almond.
It's not as smooth as a cashmere blanket but is comforting and quite skin-like. Less almondy than how it's upvoted. I wouldn't pay that much for this type of scent.

morejmh

I adore this clean, fluffy almond. Great for layering or alone. Vaguely similar to L’Occitane’s Almond Supple Skin Oil.

thornfield

Very much like Kenzo Amour, but with clean aldehydes. It makes this one feel slightly more grown up.

HerNameisVeronica

Another reviewer perfectly nailed my experience: "cheap hairspray". Musks and white florals are always chancy for me, so may just be an individual difference. Definitely try on skin before buying a bottle.

agarobka

It's simple - who likes Tardes CB will like Pure Eve as well. This TDC is soft, elegant, feminine. Almonds here are not too sweet, but not bitter either. Are simply perfectly balanced. I try to avoid aldehydes normally, but here the pinch of them gives the musk lighter, more spacious character. All in all Pure Eve is easy to wear, office friendly scent. No ground-breaking experience maybe, but definitely beautiful.

ancaan

If you want to know how this perfume smells, search for Hipp baby shower gel. It is very, very similar to it.

Yurippe

This is a fluffy, soft vanilla scent for people who otherwise dislike sweet and gourmand-y scents. It's not heavy or cloying, just a bit powdery, and not too strong. I'm seriously considering buying this as my cold weather fragrance despite the higher price tag.

QuincesI

A very nice everyday perfume.

Nice white flowers coupled with a beautiful almond, oscillating between milky and bitter, very balanced, with also this little calisson aspect (maybe the dried/candied fruits side, in the background) + mimosa on my side. It is much less sweet than advertised, and the dry down really has that something that comforts me in any situation.

Very nicely balanced. Beauty.

Allikib

I get baby powder first, then vanilla then floral. After 1 hr on my skin it’s mostly a powdery floral. I have some almond frags likes VC&A Bois D’Amande and I get much more nuttiness from other frags.

Lili1105

Bad blind buy. The scent does not evoke purity, innocence or anything delicate in me at all. No lotion, no aldehydes... It's a sweet slap with gourmet almonds, which is accompanied by something that reminds me very much of CK Euphoria, which I hate from the bottom of my heart.. Sorry, but definitely not for me..

Update on november/22. OMG after decades i found my signature scent! I don't know why, but the fragrance started to smell completely different to me after a very short time since my first review. It is a wonderful scent of comfort and tenderness. It calms me down incredibly and sometimes you have an addictive need to feel it. It had never happened to me before. I am speechless. I just love this fragrance....

Percomo_time

A mild powder fragrance. With a bitter beginning and a sweet continuation. . But not sticky, syrup-coated sweets. The bitter smell at the beginning of the perfume has a trace of almonds, but it cannot be said that it is a clear almond. It smells like powder deodorants. A faint scent of chemical products is felt first. This chemical smell is very faint and weak.
In general, it is a mild powdery fragrance and a little sweet. I don't think it is a perfume that can be used for hundreds of miles. It's boring
I did not smell aldehydes.

tarooo

soo much like l'eau d'hiver, it's just deliciously powdery and honeyed and so comforting

Ksj_

This is a creamy, almond, cherry vanilla scent. It smells like some type of almond cherry lotion that I’ve smelled on a female before. It’s nice and sensual, but I’m not sure if it’s FBW.

PerfumeForLainy

Slightly powdery, nutty, woody musc. Imagine Joop! Le Bain from 1989, but more refined and polished, which warrants the 10x price, I guess.

I like Joop a lot and I immediately liked Pure Eve that is more than 20 years younger, but still does not bring any new ideas to the table. That is a shame, because the brand was all about bright new unique ideas that other brands would never implement being scared of the revolutuonary aspect of uniquness of those ideas. Well, I am not impressed yet by anything I've tried and there is some trouble with longevity.

The good thing is that the brand now offeres "travel lab" sets of 12 scents of 10ml each. That gives a great opportunity to test and compare, at home prefferably because the packaging is hideous and being a snob that I am I would not have put any of those in my handbag.

I first wore this fragrance as Pure Virgin and can recall when half the bottles said Pure Virgin and the other half Pure Eve. I don't care what The Different Company calls it...Adam, Eve, Virgin, Vamp... as long as they keep it in production :)

The opening is elevated by aldehydes. It's not so much that it lifts a specific note, as give the entire opening a sparkling slightly peppery character. Pure Eve is clean, though not a result of the aldehydes which can present as soapy. There's simply not a single note which might ground this fragrance to give it an earthy feel. There's no warmth to be found either, which might have been interesting. It lacks complexity and once you get past the aldehydes, there's zero development. I love it, despite the simplicity or maybe because of it?? Pure Eve is very easy to wear so lovely and helpful during the unusual times. It smells mostly of vanilla, powder (think baby powder on aldehydes), musk and almonds. I'm surprised to find no listing of marzipan, because it's present towards the top, so sayeth my nose. There's an artificial, though pleasant and low key sweetness to it. I typically prefer any sweetness to come from fruit, florals or a soft vanilla, but it works here. I believe I originally sampled this fragrance because of mimosa, which is funny because I don't smell it at all. Also lost on me are the dried fruit, rose, flax and cedar.

I'm sure it's the presentation of the powder, but this feels like a new mom fragrance to me, modest, safe, steady, sweetish, and amped up powder. It's adorable!

Maybe I should suggest Pure Mommy as the next name :)

Slightly

Vanilla baby powder , smells like a little girl wearing white dress, quite cutesy
The opening is so synthetic and plastic, it turns better towards dry down, and performs better on skin instead of clothes or paper

Sweetscents20

If cotton had a scent it would smell like pure eve.

iobhai

You're having a little birthday picnic for your toddler. The day is mostly filled with, well, wiping down his dirty bum with baby wipes and, ya know, "gooing" and "gahing" in his face as you feed him his first vanilla cake. Got some cute photos, though! Pure eVe by The Different Company.

GuiltGuild

I have not tried Kenzo Amour, but at some point I randomly tried Pure Eve and a cheap perfume from Adopt' called Doux Baisers, which I was stunned to find were very similar. And later I found out that Doux Baisers is a dupe of Kenzo Amour, which further plays into the narrative that Pure Eve is similar to Kenzo Amour.

Kots_Tanya

Oh this is very similar to Kenzo Amour. I find it very interesting that the comperison keeps getting down voted. And I actually prefer Kenzo Amour over Pure eve, there is something plasticy in Pure Eve that bothers me. Plus the price point. No need to have both. This is definitely very feminine. I would have a lot of question to my man if he came home smelling like that..lol...

Pixiedust2

I agree with the Kenzo Amour comparison, they have the same vibe. But where Amour goes gourmand and vanilla pudding, this turns into pure baby powder on my skin. It's very soapy smelling, smells a bit like baby wipes. It's fuzzy feeling, smells ok, but I'm not getting any almond. This isn't the kind of powder I like. It's a clean powder if that's your thing. I'm finding that mimosa with heliotrope lends an almond flavor to my skin, but straight mimosa seems to go into face powder/baby powder/soap territory vs a gourmand type powder.

Edited: further drydown veers away from Amour and into Curve Crush. Both Curve Crush and Pure Eve turn into a really synthetic, chemical, plastic smell that makes me a bit nauseous.

giakerr

This is almost identical to Kenzo Amour... I’m really surprised to not see more comparisons. Kenzo has a more pudding-like quality with some spicier undertones while this is slightly sweeter and muskier. I love both, but they are so similar that I’d prefer to buy Amour simply because of the huge price difference.

DarlingNikki

I seriously have no idea why I picked this fragrance out on Luckyscent; I think I made a mistake and meant to get another, but turn me upside down and paint me blue, I actually like this LOL. Normally, almond-centered fragrances come across smelling like stale play-doh or expired amaretto, but this little beauty here took me aback. This smells as if I'm working as an apprentice in a beautiful patisserie in Paris and, not wanting to appear like a gauche American before the ever-fashionable Parisian master patissiers, I've spritzed on a little of my precious Champs-Elysees Extract and my scent has merged with the delicious desserts on display. Wow, the more this dries down, the more stunning it becomes! If only all blind buy mistakes could be as fortuitous as this! :)

yiotagreece

Sugary almonds like an almond delight dessert. Pure sweetness in a bottle! The almonds are natural smelling and covered with powdered sugar. I can also detect heliotrope and the perfume is linear after 20 minutes, which I love since I love this scent. It has great longevity and moderate projection. Definitely a must have in an almond lover's collection.

cranky137

I agree about Mustela baby care comparison, howver, the Almonds and musk on my skin smell like sperm. I am sorry, but this is not something I want to smell…!

Definitely try on your skin.

Kots_Tanya

This a very feminine soft powdery fragrance, on me it smells like mimosa with flex and almonds. I barely get any Musc but do get a candy like sweetness. It’s pretty but if you overspray it could get cloying and plasticky. There is no aldehydes, at least I don’t smell them here, and it’s a good thing cause I hate the aldehydic note.
I mix it with vanilla fragrance like Serge Lutens un boise vanille and it’s gorgeous together and cozy even for winter (: overall I really like the Fragrance.
Oh and The dried fruits are barely noticeable too, they are somewhere very far.

lunarambrosia

In my previous review of Pure eVe, I wondered whether this fragrance was "necessary" considering that one could probably find a very similar perfume in French body lotions made for babies. Well, to answer my own question, is this perfume necessary: yes. Yes, indeed. Simple though it is, it's the kind of fragrance that my mind kept coming back to. What is surprising about such a mild fragrance is that it actually lasts all day. Sadly, it's so bloody expensive :-(

lunarambrosia

A powdery almond fragrance that evokes those French mother & child skincare brands like Mustela. This is quiet, innocent femininity, white cotton underwear, fresh faced natural beauty. I think you either love these kinds of fragrances or you don't. Personally, I do love them. This is not a fragrance that I would wear for anyone but myself, meaning I would purposely avoid this kind of fragrance if I were going to a party or a business meeting or a date. It's just such an innocent and naive fragrance that I think it would make one feel too vulnerable. But who knows, maybe that's what you're after. All in all, I find this very pleasant but not that different than aforementioned skincare, and I wonder if this fragrance is really that necessary or distinctive when a similarly fragranced body lotion might do the trick.

Birnam_Wood

The beginning is abhorrent: a rubbery burning plastic, an olfactory horror show.

Then almond-y heliotrope, or heliotrope-y almond catch up. This almond-y note almost overlaps with the tender mimosa underneath, like a frosted glass covering the vivid flower.

Soon another force join the party: a gourmand-y shredded coconut. The alternating battle of almonds and coconut takes the large part of the show.

Gradually, both of them sink into an unsurprising sticky sweet Tonka-vanilla base.

There is something in Pure eVe reminds me of pre-reformulated L’eau d’Hiver, but the former is too solid, too gourmand-y, and the airy “puffiness” in L’eau d’Hiver is still unparalleled.

jacek.drewnowski

Sadly, I have to agree with the reviews saying it's plasticky. This is probably due to individual skin chemistry and/or olfactory capabilities, anyway on my skin and to my nose the opening resembles sniffing a cheap fake barbie doll from up close. A cheap hair spray also comes to mind. It's just unpleasant and even though after half an hour to an hour almonds start having their say, I have to wait more than two hours before these harsh notes from the beginnig calm down enough for this fragrance to become a nice almond scent.

dsty

I always like a good almond scent, and this one is very good! It's my second experience with The Different Company and I have to say I'm impressed so far - they seem to specialize in delicate, well-balanced scents that are as interesting as they are wearable, just very well-made.

It's a non-gourmand kind of almond scent: sweet but a little bitter as well, and with enough focus on the other notes to keep it from going into edible territory. It starts out rather green - or at least green-floral, since there don't seem to be any actual green notes in the note pyramid, but that's how it always strikes me, and I'm not complaining! And then later on, as the scent settles down and becomes sweeter, the musk becomes more dominant as well and takes over the role of contrast provider. All in all it's very nice indeed - I do like my marzipan scents, but there's more to the almond note than that, and this is a great example of that.

There are some things that keep me from wanting more now that my sample is gone, though. Longevity and especially projection could have been a lot better - although that could be (partly) due to my sample's lack of a sprayer. Then there's the fact that I'm not exactly head over heels in love with Pure eVe, even though I like it very much, and I already have some almond scents in my collection that I prefer. And last but not least there's the price: there's a lot of nice things that can be said about The Different Company, but "affordable" isn't one of them. So I think this one will have to go on my "maybe get a decant if one shows up at a good price" list...

RoseSoul

Oh...it smells so delicate and beautiful. That's exactly what I would expect Etro Heliotrope to smell like, but that was not the case. Here, the almonds are slightly sweetish and fluffy. Although vanilla is not listed, I can feel the gourmet character of this essence. I don't feel the aldehydes and the flowers listed in the first place, maybe just the tender musk veil. However, after about 10 - 15 minutes after application, I can feel the floral aura of this fragrance, I guess the mimosa takes the stage.

It's really a great scent, it makes me curious about other perfumes from The Different Company.

Edit: The performance on skin is great, too ... ~ 6 h. Big love ❤️

kandykat

This smells exactly like Kenzo Amour! This is a beautiful airy and creamy scent. Slightly sweet. I do not smell almond. I wear this very cozy fragrance to work and to bed.

At the Masquerade (detail) by Charles Hermans

Bubbles1964

Opening notes; I get baby powder, vanilla and sugared almonds. Then I smell fresh pastries right out of the oven. If you're into gourmand scents it's a safe bet you'd like it. I have another perfume by TDC, and both are impressive because it's evident that the ingredients are quality.

This stays linear after the first 30 minutes: the scent does not change, but since I like it I'm happy. Projection is low, but this has longevity. It lasts about 4 -5 hours then turns into a skin scent for several hours more. I'm looking forward to sampling more from this house. So far I'm really impressed.

Pianomelody

This is magnificent, magical and dreamy parfum... fascinating for its seemingly contrasting notes, such as the initial aldehyde note that gives the perfume a blurry air, clear and soft as the soft snow in the winter. It evokes in me strong emotions linked to something I do not remember but that makes me feel good. This is complex and sophisticated, it wraps you like a cloud and drags you with it with its wake... this for me is a masterpiece, my favorite perfume The Different Company. Sentimental..I love it ❤

The Calisson! I love how the Calisson greets me in the morning. Picture an autumn morning, the sun warming your room: Light, but not bright, warm, but not hot. A flavour but not a taste.

Definitely no "clean T-Shirt" around here, but soft, spicy and comforting.

Pure eVe is your companion when you can need some comfort and your best friend is not close. Take this bottle!

I have it right next to "Laine de Verre" by Serge Lutens and love them both.

ANNAFRYS

Almonds... poweder;...nice feminen dry down...gorgeaous.. innocent really instresting formula.

catndale

smells like a light version of NÈH?! Zeromolecole

aprilp

I get light baby powder with none of the nuances others mention, chemistry is a fickle damn thing sometimes.

Soofiya

As soon as I sprayed it I knew that I need to have it.it's simply so me.I love almond and musk pure eve is all about musky florals and almonds.I tried to ignore it because it seemed to be too light and I like sillage monsters but I really love how it smells and it was heavily discounted because of valentine so I brought home a 3oz bottle for myself and I don't regret it
Pure eve is indeed very soft and this softness is what makes it heavenly gorgeous.it's very powdery but doesn't feel very dry.it's sweet but it's sweetness isn't sharp or syrupy so doesn't seem to be too much.there's nothing sharp or heavy here.everything remains soft, pretty, calm and smooth.it also feels very clean without smelling like cleaning products.it's a feminine scent in my book, there's nothing male ish here but it won't seem out of place on the right man too
Almond, musk, something like a creamy vanilla and soft, powdery florals(very much like heliotrope) and soft, fluffy sweetness is what I smell here.imagine sweet musky baby powder with nutty, almondy nuances.a delicious baby powder
Imagine you came out of shower and moistened your skin with an almond body lotion and then sprayed a sweet powdery sugary musky vanilla scent and after an hour there's a combination of these two creamy and powdery scents.very cuddly and warm.lovely to go to sleep in this smooth cloud and have sweetest dreams
It's very inoffensive, beautiful and versatile.it's wearable year round as daily perfume,at work or even as date perfume.whenever you want to feel comfortable, humble, relaxed in simple also pretty way.it's so beautiful and balanced that I can wear it everyday without feeling nauseous.it's like a sweet dream.smooth and soothing and cozy.don't afraid of musk and aldehydes,it's not a old musty scent.it's very modern.pure eve is like a cuddly beige cashmere sweater.
I love it and I highly recommend it to whoever wants something soft, clean, delicious, delicate and pretty
❤❤❤❤

Veedabestchef

love this fragrance its very delicious scent. Almond dominate this fragrance. Very sweet almost like dessert candy added creaminest almonds. Performance is great. Overspraying can sometimes too cloying. 2 spray can last me 8 hours. Great for cool weather.

UPDATE: 7/20/2017

Been wearing this on night spring summer works wonder but not good on hot day can get very cloying. This thing last and last on my skin. I don't know maybe almond love my skin for some reason. I also let a female friend try this and she loves it. Very sweet scent.

TakaBeata

For me too much almonds and cooling flowers as that chemical lilies of the valley. It does not unite well to me .Sorry :)

Spinnerette

this is an incredibly fragrance. truthful from the first time you spray it and special 'cause it makes me feel perfect when i wear it. very very unique, classy and comfortable. sadly i had to adbandon it just because of its sillage and longevity. after 15 mins i could not smell it anymore and also people around don't detect it. it's not unexpencive and bought it twice hoping it was my nose, but i had to give up at the end. hope they will improve its formula one day with stronger persistence and sillage ;,( such a shame

Jmalone84

This is an ode to the White Rose.

So well blended, the sweet notes and almond round it out perfectly, bringing out the essence of white roses. This is what angels smell like.

I love this, I wish this projected more and lasted longer, but I understand that this needs to be felt only as a gentle whisper.

Pure and gentle, this will go fast. Lovely for summer. I can imagine this being worn in winter too. So pleased that I picked this up purely by chance. Very lady like, definitely signature material.

The musk, white rose and cedar makes it smell very much like Narciso. I couldn't tell you which I preferred though as Narciso projects a heck of a lot better.

This needs applying practically every hour. It's gone in virtually 30 seconds. It's more like a soft, white creamy skin scent than anything else. Reminds me of the smell of moisturiser or day cream.

I am supremely irritated however, that this stuff is so soft, and a 50mL bottle costs over $200. I was fortunate enough to buy it for $40 through sheer providence, I love it so much that I crave it, but I have had it barely a month and used half of it already- I won't be able to buy it again as it is so expensive. Tragedy.

becuille

I used to love musk and I went through a phase of wearing Penhaligon's Artemesia almost constantly. Problem was, I then totally sickened myself of it and have barely gone near musk ever since.

So my problem with this is that it reminds me quite a lot of Artemesia and is very heavy on the musk.

That said, it is a gentle beauty. I probably won't be buying a full bottle of it because it reminds me so much of something I managed to sicken myself of, but that's not the perfume's fault.

It's musk and almond, with a hint of fruity sweetness. It's fairly linear and quite soft sillage. The longevity is crazy, it lasts and lasts.

It's very delicate and feminine, although not at all complex. I don't notice either the rose or the aldehydes at all. I was expecting a burst of aldehydes in the opening, but I really only ever get the base notes from this.

You need to be a musk lover for this one because it's a very prominent note.

Arlene-Beatrix

At first it seems to be quite unusual, possibly due to aldehydes, but after a while it develops into a charming, soft sweet almond scent. Pleasant and smooth. To sum up in one word: lovely!

alex.in-holiday

I can see the reason why some reviewers compare it to Hypnotic Poison. It is equally almondy and just as sweet as MP (or even sweeter, even though it seems just not possible). However, while MP is all about vanilla, Pure eVe is all about musk. The musk here is so higly concentrated that it feels thick, powdery, chalky, almost like flour - it really adds depth and body to the frag. And despite being über sweet, Pure eVe has some unusual, fresh quality into it. How did they manage to achieve it - beats me.

It has enormous sillage and unbeatable longevity - 12 hrs and still feeling like aplied half an hour ago.

Having said that - I don't like it, it's just not my cup of tea.

reinevp

I would love this if they'd left out the musk. Why are so many perfumes ruined by overpowering musk?? Sigh.

I get a rice pudding vibe in the opening of Pure eVe. Then the musk floats in with a note that reminds me of old-fashioned yellow Jergens lotion. Sometimes I can detect almond and baby powder but mostly this scent is abstract. Something about it reminds me of warm, moist air and dry fluffy towels. It is pleasant in the way shampoo can be pleasant.

rum

I had always been mesmerised by the Carnation flower. My mother grew them in the garden for as long as I can remember and along with the rose, this is easily my favourite flower. The spice and aroma of the carnation is just the right amount of floral for me. I couldn't see myself wearing it, but I wouldn't hesitate to douse the other half in this.

The opening starts soft and gets louder as this scent progresses. I only tried a little from my sample and it lasted the whole day on my skin. All I can say is that it's a Carnation explosion! Reminds me a bit of Cartier's Baiser Vole, which is equally a carnation-infused scent.

If carnations are your thing, then you are going to love this scent. Surprisingly, the note is not listed, so it could be creating that effect with cloves and other similar spices, but none the less, a fantastic scent!

Mighty lion

First off I'm a masculine male who went to Barneys NYC to purchase Chergui by Serge Lutens for the up and coming fall and winter months. Excellent frag in it's own right by the way! While waiting for the wrap up the salesman asked me to sample this other fragrance, but he didn't tell me the name he just sprayed on my hand.. W.O.W !!!!!!! The scent was intoxicating I thought, but I had to play it cool.. I told him I would see how the dry down went, and if I liked it I would be back soon to purchase.. I came back anxiously the VERY NEXT DAY!!!! I could not stop smelling the spritz point after I left the store.. Heavenly scent!! Smells like vanilla And almond cotton candy with a touch of musk that prevents it from being too sweet or too feminine "I REPEAT DOES NOT SMELL FEMININE!!!". Surprisingly it also smells very clean as well.. Equally as surprised that this isn't listed as a unisex blend.. I also realize why he didn't initially tell me the name, "Pure Eve" would not have been something I would have voluntarily sampled had I known the name beforehand.. Immensely glad I did however.. This juice is amazing I give it 20 on the scale of 1 to 10.. Ladies try this on your men trust me both of you will thank Mighty Lion and the Barneys sales rep who graced me...Top shelf parfume a must smell...

It's absolutely amazing! Got this (Pure virgin) last summer, and the vanilla/musk scent in this one is unlike anything else I've ever smelled. If I should try to depict how it smells, I would say it's like a combination of the classic La Prairie perfumes, but with a touch of Byredo uniqueness. It lasts really long, and I still have over half a bottle left still after much use (you only need one spray).

The bottle is really lux, and I've never met anyone with the same perfume, so this is really limited, which I like. I really hate smelling like everyone else.

If you spray this on right after you've showered, it smells like the Clean perfumes at first (fresh smell), but when it settles, the vanilla and musk perfection comes out.

I can also recommend Guerlain Shalimar Initial (even though it is not a limited perfume, I rarely come across anyone who has it). I use Pure virgin for daytime, and Shalimar for night, since it is more spicy and oriental.

pure eve = pure virgin.

it's the same fragrance. just changed name. virgin to eve. so i just buy a virgin that left only one in my country... even that high price.
also, it's 50ml, so It's not refilable... i was crazy...

Just Bought it,my first from TDC I adore that,
but the name is "Pure Virgin". is that the same? also on box written: "for her or for him".... no matter what the name is, notes are so luxe.

Light simple musky floral scent with medium sillage and poor longevity on my skin - about 3 hours only. I highly reccomend to test it before buying.

This is a warm, cosy, musky floral. Lovely for those evenings in winter with great comfort appeal it wraps you in a soft powdery floral confection.

Soft and sweet in an understated way and easy to wear 8/10 silage and a couple of hours tops for longevity.

I love & adore this scent! it is a favorite of mine. It is unlike anything else very unique. Its sort of candy fruit but i think thats the mimosa & callison, sweet, powdery maybe its a little light musk, its not a straight up floral either so its weird in a good way.
I just want to sniff myself all day!!!
for lovers of unusual sweet, off the beaten path, but safe perfume.
Update: I just got a sample of Cartiers le baiser du Dragon, and this smells almost identicle!

Per The Different Company's website:

"Pure Virgin is born from a simple idea: create a simple and comfortable perfume, fresh and luxurious a perfume as soft and elegant as a Seersucker shirt or a black dress. For her or for him, a purely sensual luxury to wear every day.
Creation and inspiration: Céline Ellena uses the best quality of Musk which reminds us the sensation of silk mixed with cotton on our skin, structured by Cedarwood and softened by the Calisson."

Notes (also listed on the bottle label): Evanescent Musk, Fresh Air, Linen Flower, White Rose, Cedarwood, Calisson, and Mimosa.

The day I bought this, I originally had my mind set on purchasing L'Artisan's Traversée du Bosphore for its fruity gourmand Turkish delight note, but was instead pointed in the direction of Pure Virgin by the sales associate for its similar fruity gourmand note of the French Calisson.

This is a nice, casual unisex fragrance. A mix between clean and gourmand...deliciously clean! LOL

It smells similar to the Febreze Seaside and Spring air freshener in my bathroom, but I don't care... I like it! =]

I'm a complete sucker for the light, soft, powdery, skin scent. Theoretically this should have been a dream for me. Unfortunately every time I spray it on my skin it turns out to be a nightmare. A scary one. It's one of the very very few scents that actually turns my stomache a bit.

It starts out as a very musky, powdery, light rose. The powder in this however never becomes luminescent. On me it just takes it to this very heavy, sticky, feeling place and yet it's not heavy or sticky really at all. In it's supreme lightness it still manages to capture this tone somehow though. The sweet calisson starts to come out after about 15 minutes and that's when the real trouble begins.

As it starts to sweeten up there's nothing to lift it up and make it sparkle. Instead it sits on my skin and dies a slow, slow , slow, death. It weighs down the air wherever I go and becomes truly stifling. It smothers the joy in the atmosphere.

The sillage on this is med. to light but because I don't care for it it feels like it takes up the whole room. Longevity is about an 8/10. I can't get this stuff to go away no matter what I do.

I actually tried this before buying and in my stubbornness convinced myself that it would be better once I was able to spray it rather than dabbing.I was wrong. I know that this works quite well on others but please~sniff before you buy just to make sure.

Other notes included in this perfume are Calisson and Mimosa.
