Maremma by Tiziana Terenzi is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women and men. Maremma was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Paolo Terenzi. Top notes are Oak, Black Currant, Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine and Bergamot; middle notes are Honey, Agarwood (Oud), Persimmon, Cumin, Iris and Angelica; base notes are Cacao, Patchouli, Amber, Sandalwood, Palisander Rosewood and Labdanum.

The other stop on this wonderful journey is in Tuscany: the perhaps less romantic and less well-known hills and valleys of Maremma. Tough and strong, just like the men and women who live there; regal and proud as the horses that gallop tirelessly across its landscape; it is a place for camping in the pristine wilderness alongside the Buttero and their amazing horses. The term Buttero refers to Maremma’s horseback herders. The name comes from the Greek boútoros (= oxen herder). Taken broadly, this term could be considered the Italian equivalent to the American Cowboy. This complex and multi-faceted perfume exudes the power of this place. Filled with fruity and floral notes native to the Maremma landscape together with strong leather and wood tones makes this perfume incredibly long lasting. Its black bottle contains all the charm of this wild and fascinating land, one of the least well-known corners of Italy, yet one brimming with wonders.

Top Notes: Bitter Bergamot, Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine, Black Currant, Holm Oak Acorn

Middle Notes: Angelica, Orris Root, Agarwood, Lotus Wood, Cumin, Honey

Base Notes: Patchouli, Cocoa Powder, Sandalwood, Cistus Labdanum, Amber Crystals, Rosewood.

I really love it at first sniff. Yes it does smell similar to Tom Ford Black Orchid, but this one right here is smoother and creamier. It has a sweet powdery touch on the dry down. I love it. Perfect for night time.

toosimilar

It's Black Orchid by TF clone
Too powerful and mainstream
I wouldn't tolerate wearing it

Bordo

I was expecting something nice, fruity gourmand like, but to me it is mostly like a sweet mixed herbal tea. Yes, herbs, like chamomile - a bit bitter, a bit sweet, a bit like hay. Must be the combination of all notes, where no particular note stands out. Late in the dry down there are some more warmer sweeter notes, but also woodies. Smells a bit generic for my liking. Probably reminds of something else. Performance is nothing extreme.

This is one of my all time favourites when it comes to evenings scents. It is dark, sexy and mysterious you cannot separate the ingredients. It is suitable for both genders, but it would take certain character to rock this as a woman. This is for a femme fatale vibe of woman, sharp, edgy, provocative. The scent has the best performance EVER! It damaged me so now I expect the same from every perfume. I can last 24h with just 2 sprays on skin! I would recommend this any time. It so underrated for me…

ANNA_KISELEVA

The aroma is ultra-delicate; perfume from the “for yourself” series.

There is a resemblance to the “Black Orchid” - like the very remnants of the Ford Orchid on clothes from a week ago🤷🏻♀️

NO "Orchid's" brightness! There is no paradoxical game of “hot and cold”, the one that captivated me in "Orchid" almost 20 years ago!

Pleasant, but nothing more.

harperhilton

while Maremma is really not its own thing, it *is* my favorite version of Tom Ford Black Orchid -- closer to the parfum (gold bottle) than to the original edp (black bottle, gold label.) i like it better than either.

Slickchick81

Black Orchid but better. Has all the beauty of Tom Ford Black Orchid, doesn't have that slightly hideous opening of Black Orchid, I love Black Orchid but the intial opening, there is something nauseous in it, the truffle? Maremma does not have this it jumps straight into the beautiful heart of Black Orchid, I still think Maremma will divide folks into love/hate camps. Perfectly unisex, could imagine a man/ woman wear this, I think would be good for a date as it is kinda sexy. It has great projection and a very nice sillage. I love it.

The Wolf

First impression so take it with a grain of salt. I think this smells as good or better than black orchid. It's got a LOT going on but I liked the richness without it being stuffy like the Tom Ford. I pick up the woods, fruity notes and some iris. Feminine leaning.

Beautifull smell... And yes is almost same as Black Orchid (had it too). And now bad things... Projection and sillage are too weak. Parfume for intime situations i will say... Longetivity is ok but only close to skin and i dont like that kind of parfumes. Only beastmodes can be in my collection, so idk... Maybe I will sold it...

Not sure what possessed me to try this. I can agree it could be a sister to black orchid. A woodsy floral. Unfortunately if I sniff too hard I almost feel like I smell a hint of windex lol.
After about half an hour I don't have to worry about that though, that scent sensation goes away and it's closer to black orchid.
Between the two I'm not sure which I like more and I feel I need to do a side by side comparison at some point while I have this sample.
Gone by 6 hours on skin.

Update: tried them side by side. They're almost identical to the point if I smelled this on someone I'd assume it's black orchid. This time longevity was pretty good. I did one spritz on my wrist, it's been 8 hours and I can still smell it when my wrist is 6in from my face.

Jonathanelsher3

Beautiful woody fragrance with high quality ingredients which lead to perfection!

Kiwigoddess

I really like this but I like the drydown better than the opening. I find something in the opening sharp. Therefore, I find when first spraying it on, that it leans more masculine. However, once that sharpness goes away, it is beautifully powdery on me. That gorgeous powdery iris comes across as feminine and captivating to match her inner beauty and physical appeal.

I don't find this fragrance deep or dark as others have stated, largely due to it being so powdery. I associate powdery scents more with innocence, femininity, angelic-like, modesty etc. My experience with powdery scents is that they perform better during cooler weather. For me this would be a daytime scent but may be something I might wear out to dinner on occasion. Projection is moderate, sillage is moderate but I wouldn't call it beast mode considering it's powdery and not strong like spices or licorice for example.

I love this fragrance but not sure it's worth buying a whole bottle considering I will soon be heading off to live in a country where it is hot all year round.

Wow! CAF911

This is literally better than the black orchid line. Cheaper too.

It’s too feminine for me to wear, but dang does it ever smell good on other people.

One of the best Tizzies. Up there with Chimaera.

tilapia_johnson

The opening is surprisingly sticky-sweet and strange, like a cherry popsicle from one's childhood (could be the pairing of oak wood and black currant that gives the impression of syrupy ice on a wooden stick). This combination of sweetness and woodiness continues with honey/persimmon and agarwood, but is enlivened by the freshness of iris and angelica, providing an earthy greenness that grounds the composition. The base is fragrant cacao (not chocolate) and sweet amber. This perfume never loses it's sweetness, with some powder (think Armenian paper) and distinctive woods. It feels rich and greedy, like something worn by the aristocracy. I also get the image of Winnie the Pooh reaching into his pot for a handful of fragrant honey, in his home in the Hundred Acre Woods. Complex, fresh, and luxurious, this is a must-try for its unusual ingredients and balance.

HippieSoul222

This is the truest unisex fragrance that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The opening is a strong woody oak like it’s been wet in the rain. But, the very next waft is a jasmine blossom in the warm sun. It’s this constant dance of feminine and masculine. I sprayed ONE spritz on my finger so I could wash it off if I wanted. First off, I absolutely don’t want to wash it off, and secondly, everything I touch is left smelling like this fragrance which is insane potency. This fragrance makes me think of a woman that is setting trends and really doesn’t follow rules of what is “proper feminine” and has unmoveable expectations of others while also being a loving place for a significant other to land at the end of a long work day. The woods and vanilla brings you close but her surety makes you feel protected and secure. So lovely … so so lovely.

Qortni

Oooh!  Ok, yes.  YES.  This is *very* complex, and another one I can do better by "painting a picture" than describing by notes:

This is an Orphic devotee, sumptuous in her wealth, but grounded and earthy, reclining on her couch, enjoying wine and light fare on her airy Mediterranean terrace, the sun setting, the radiant heat from the cobbles still warming the air.  Gulls call and lift in the breeze, her linen robes billow lightly, and her lotiony unguents play in the air with the sweet tinkling of her anklets.  Her kohl painted eyes search the horizon for ships returning with silks, lapis, and glass.

My husband isn't easily impressed nor particularly interested in fragrances, but this garnered an instant "I LIKE IT!" - which is about as good as his comments on frags get. Wearing this feels a little ancient, a little like a courtier, but still very connected to the natural world.

Silverquick

This is the one. We all deserve that one fragrance that makes feel like The Empress - assured, confident, sexy and the best version of yourself… She doesn’t scream and demand attention, no ….her self assurance, depth (oh yes dear shadows) warmth, and charm fascinate and pull you in. She commands without lifting finger and all the while you will sigh.

Quite an experience - resinous and rich which is supported by clean and slightly narcotic solar florals. The spices and jammy fruit notes (to my nose blackberry-like) push through and gorgeous woods, deep, lightly sweetened cacao and Musk round it out. No nose itch or powder fest. No sore teeth… but not dry and cool either. Lush! On my skin feminine leaning and I really enjoyed getting wonderful wafts of the scent all day.

Calli31

Pulling it off is most easy for men and women too. This needs confidence, boldness and a personality to wear. There is creamy, sultry and bitter vibes in this that are probably due to persimmon and cocoa doing the superb job that sweetens the woodiness. Background is made up of luscious flowers and fruits. The longevity for this one is long lasting and the silage is enormous too. This is my type of moody perfume that works mazing in day and comes to life during night. Cleanliness, comfort, warmth, sexiness and the perfection all packed in a small, beautiful and attractive bottle. Totally an extraordinary yet romantic fragrance that is versatile and wonderful. This is enveloping, velvety and rich that have assertive projection and the amazing trail too. Enjoy!

Miss.Tara

Spicy without smelling like the holidays. The Sandalwood and Oud isn't sour. It's still big and bold, but without being screechy. Traditionally masculine, but in a way I can't place. Not barbershop, cypress-y, or like a masculine clubby scent. It's so unique! Actually, I say it seems traditionally masculine, but this gives me the same smooth elegant spice vibes of the original Chanel Coco EDP. Maremma is resinous and dark, yet uplifting and fresh at the same time. This is a completely unhelpful review haha! But honestly, it's a little bit of everything while remaining understated. I greatly prefer this over Tom Ford Black Orchid because of the added layers that overall are softer and less harsh than Tom Ford BO.

Josu01

Maremma is dark, heavy, intense. Seventeen notes, all blended perfectly, where the final product is more than the sum of its parts. I don't even try to identify all the different notes, I just enjoy the experience Maremma gives me.
All the notes feel natural. This is very elegant, perfect for a night out. Long and heavy sillage. A truly unisex fragrance inside a square, black, minimalist bottle. The more I wear it, the more I like it.

dmbfaninmass

I had been contemplating splurging on Black Orchid but I haven’t ventured into the world of Tom Ford fragrances. I have, however, been on a Tiziana Terenzi splurge as of late. This one really intrigued me and then I saw the comparison to BO, read the reviews and watched some videos about this fragrance and one that compared the two. I’m still curious about TF’s BO (can’t help myself but chuckle at that phrasing)… but, dang, I’m glad I pulled the trigger on this one. At first spray it struck me as quite on the feminine side, but I’m secure and so that didn’t bother me. After about 10 minutes, the magic started happening. Not sure I could really add anything that hasn’t already been said. This is just an amazing, luxurious, attention grabbing (imho) fragrance. Terenzi just keeps blowing me away. Big fan of this house with what I’ve purchased thus and scents like these only make me wanna keep on my Terenzi blind buying spree, though my wallet is like aight man, chill with that! Highly recommend!

reaabf

there is something flirty in this scent, it is an obvious yet mysterious, blended with hands of gold, when you smell it you don't pay attention to its notes, it takes you to a different place, Italian country side? maybe. it is worm, clean, fresh, yet deep and dense . This is Das Perfume.

To me, this feels like sassy feminine. This is creamy, sultry, bitter and little bit oily too. in this amazing scent, the persimmon and cocoa perform superbly with the sweetness and woodiness. I love cocoa too and the buttery bitter variant in this scent is even spectacular. The blend is so well with the agarwood, flowers and fruits adding the lush and rich background in it. Longevity is long lasting and silage is amazing too. This is kind of moody perfume that is perfect at nights rather than day time. I felt as if this one is an amazing scent that I came across since long and this is an instant crush that I fell for immediately. Opening for this beauty is simply divine and delicious with the persimmon and black currant. This is going to be my signature scent now. I am in love with this comforting, warm, juicy and sexy smell. Solid scent ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

a REAL extrait.....if Fendi Uomo and Black Orchid had a baby, BAM!

so decadent and sinful and obnoxious and offensive and LOUD!...and I love it. This is how Black Orchid SHOULD HAVE been made. The perfect unisex fragrance....Id bet a buck, the day will come when this perfume becomes very expensive. You see it happen, all the time. Ive worn this maybe 3 or 4 times...never spraying more than 3 times. . It takes little of this, to get recognized, in other words. Great winter frag, too. Beautiful stuff, if you like 'em very sweet and dense.

highonfumes

Maremma isn’t my usual frag. I have a sample, and the performance is so stellar that I haven’t needed to buy a bottle. Starts out more masculine, it opens with a barbershop patchouli note but ultimately develops into a more femme deep honeyed oak & persimmon spice. It’s sweetly warm and cozy, there are no hard edges or challenging notes. It smells very Italian.

Like I said, that isn’t my usual taste. For some people flirtation is a titillating dance where your toes might get stepped on just a bit, metaphorically speaking. For others, it’s unfailing acceptance and security. Maremma is the latter, a perpetually mushy and romantic lover that rides into your life on a chestnut toned horse. It’s a gorgeous masterpiece, but I’m not sure we’re a match.

Maremma also reminds me of a perfume that a middle school friend (who developed early and was very sexually active) wore in in the 90’s. No doubt it was a popular frag from an Italian designer, but I have no idea what it was.

All that said, I might buy a bottle because my husband loves it! I’m sure he’s probably sick of my cerebral artsy mildly stinky French perfumes.

mehdiab

Maremma, is like being followed by an orchestra while walking in a small Sicilian or Neapolitan alley. This one is crazy from A to Z. So so beautiful, warm sexy mysterious, In my top 10 of all time. To my nose, it is not very woody, more of a warm spicy fragrance, beautiful dark flowers trying to mimic Orchids. The performance is HUGE. 10/10 in my humble opinion.

Air.astarte

This smells like exactly Thierry Mugler Angel mixed with the white powder my grandmother had in crystal dishes with a pouf in the bathroom. Scented talc powder? Very "traditionally" masculine, but I think people should wear what they love regardless of traditional scent genders.

First spray: Patchouli. Sharp, green, astringent, herbal patchouli. Oud... Sandalwood... Jasmine... Citrus.
Dry down: straight patchouli oud.
If you're a fan of these things, Maremma is strong and lasts forever. Indoors in cooler weather it's sharper and more headache inducing. Outdoors in humid 100 f heat, it's a liiiiittle sweeter and more powdery.

I have Marrema on one arm and Angel on the other. I've had a man in his 40's, a woman in her 40's, a young woman and a small boy smell this. They all think they smell very similar and none of them liked the Maremma. Remarks like "old". Except for the young boy, he said he didn't smell much of anything, which is strange because it's so strong it gave me a headache.

Eight hours later: Still getting wafts of fragrance. I'm smelling the rosewood now. And a spicy rum.

Obligatory disclaimer: beauty is subjective and scent is no different. The only thing I would say is this isn't office safe. I'm glad others enjoy it and I can appreciate it as an art form.

CrazyRussianChick

Not a review, just to side with these who say it smells like TF Black Orchid.
I was at the mall today and decided to try TF BO. Opened the bottle and before I even sprayed it I’ve realized I smelled this before. They both smell the same from the bottle! Can’t say much on how it is on the skin, didn’t wear it, just sniffed...

ThePaleHorse

I’ve had this on my wishlist for years and finally copped a 5ml sample. All I can say is that this is seriously one of the best fragrances I have come across in ages. An instant crush, my quarantine lover.
The opening is just divine and if I had it my way I would try to make that last longer. The top notes, especially the black currant and persimmon are really just delicious. I have been wearing this non stop for 3
days, including applying before bedtime. I just had to pull the trigger on a full bottle, It’s a new signature for sure. Deep into the dry down my wife hugged me and said “you smell so clean.” It’s a very warm, comforting, sexy, juicy smell.
10/10 , a real banger.

If anyone can point me to anything with a similar vibe I’m here for it.

SweetBriar

I like this better than Black Orchid- its softer, more easy-going summery day. I get lots of coconut. Very good stuff. Would love this on a man also- Unisex all the way!

bebson1712

Amazing stuff...

Very pleaseant but powerful!

This is definitely something that stays in my collection!

Emorandeira

Maremma is a very nice scent. It is a sandalwood & patchouli creamy fragance with loads of cocoa and a sweet flowery vibe. It is true that is very similar to black orchid by Tom Ford. If you smell them together there are some differences. Maremma smells more intense and overall more natural while black orchid is a bit more medicinal and plástic. In adition maremma has a better performance and lasts more time on skin projecting in a low/moderate level for 3-4 hours while black orchid projects high the first hour and then fades off quickly. However if a smell them separatly un different days i cant say which perfume is...i have tried It with my brother telling him use the two different days and i would say which one are you wearing...and not...i couldnt! I must say that i usted to LOVE black orchid because years before had a gorgeous performance. Now nevertheless It has changed and It has Lost all his powerful so maremma is a good option for those Who miss the old black orchid... Better for night time with fresh weather. Unisex!

This is a slightly more masculine version of the TF Black Orchid, it's heavier without the truffle/mushroom funk, MUCH better longevity than the current reformulated 2019 Black Orchid. I probably should buy a backup bottle of this, definitely a love.

Update 2 days later on 5/17/2020: This is so darn good I went and ordered a backup bottle now. Out of 50+ fragrances that I own, this is the first time I feel the need to have a 2nd bottle, just in case they raise the price or get refomulated in the future.

simonbolivar

The Wall of Sound

This one is very complex to describe. Too well blended. Imagine a line of different frequencies of sweet and spicy scents. As time passes you get different whiffs back and forth. They hit you at intervals.

Some scents are lovely, others are screechy. Sometimes I get a delicious iris, then I feel coconut from sun lotion. Sweet honey becomes patchouli soap. Is that cacao? Musk? I am not sure!

Projection is not too strong to offend others. Not an office scent! This is a love/hate bipolar fragrance for your own pleasure.

DO NOT blind buy!

MorganaM

Has anyone tried layering TF Black Orchid over this fragrance? LOVE BO, and it's definitely vying for a spot as my signature, but longevity is lacking. Seems there may be possibilities in layering the two...

Ryan1986

I just bought it for one of my best friends. Loving Tiziana Terenzi perfumes is undeniable. I just wanna say something. I sprayed 2 or 3 puffs on my sleeve. Then, I came home after about 2 hours. I took a shower and washed my hand. I dried my wet hand with towel. Yet, my hand is still emitting the scent, even though I didn’t puff it on my hand at all.
If you think this one is the same as Black Orchid, then you don’t know anything about nische fragrances.
This fragrance is absolutely mighty. Don’t forget that it’s Extrait de Parfum.
DON’T SPRAY MORE THAN 2-3 TIMES!!!!

mmmmgood

***carries the DNA of 3 heavy-hitters : Aramis for Men, Black Orchid/TF and Fendi Uomo.

(update) Just bought a back up....my God, this is STRONG. VERY impressed by this. And I think its a better scent, than Black Orchid. As a matter of fact, I think the comparisons between the two, should stop. This is just a better made fragrance. More depth and intensity, than Black Orchid. And EXTREMELY heavy. If you dont dig a heavy perfume, I would not buy this one, if I were you. DO NOT wear this to a job interview or to church (if thats your thing).

You will distract and piss off, those around you, because of the heaviness of this stuff. You've been warned. And it is an extrait concentration, so to say it's heavy, given its current formulation, is actually unnecessary. What separates it from BO, is it's depth and refinement. I'd call this a very elegant patchouli scent ..not just a run of the mill, patch' fragrance. Also has a good bit of Fendi Uomo's DNA, in it.

*******************************************

ok, sooooo...I sorta get the Black Orchid comps (just tripped over myself, looking for my credit card, to buy this shit). But this has more depth, if you will. If you can implement persimmon and oud, in what really amounts to a very complex patchouli scent, you're doing something right, dog-on-it!

Im shocked at the price. And if I were you (the person who comes late to this scent), Id buy this before it becomes ultra-popular, and becomes more expensive. Ive seen it happen too many damn times, to my frustration. And I can name a few perfumes, that its happened with (Midnight In Paris, Prada LunA Rossa Extreme, and a number of Dior's scents))

this particular perfume, is a heavy hitter. Great longevity, and note construction, that smacks of something you see in the Amouage and L'Artisan Parfumeur perfumes. If you liked Black Orchid, but wanted that kind of scent, with more depth, edge and refinement, look no further than Maremma.

Pianomelody

Very beautifull! This is an extraordinarily romantic perfume. It has a really remarkable trail, and i personally find no resemblance to Black Orchid. This is really different, it's more romantic and sweet... I like it a lot, it's a sweet and romantic perfume. I love it!

Agree: Black Orchid but MORE distinct , stronger, longer !

Dirtyhoody

Maremma and Black Orchid are indeed similar but they arrive at those similarities via different routes. Maremma feels less floral and thus feels less feminine. This is black orchid for the men who were too self conscious to wear black orchid.

goliatrgs

For me 95% similar to TF Black Orchid (which I also own), but much richer and beast sillage (10+ in my skin) and longevity

A lotf more better than black orchid. Black orchid has something annoying that marremma dont have. And maremma Has the best performance ever

DR521

Starts as a luminous Tahitian vanilla extract, with aromatic vanilla orchid, heady ylang, and coconut, cocoa, and modern wood accents. The effect is like a not too sweet vanilla drink at a Michelin starred restaurant. Dimensional. Pretty, pleasing, well blended and gourmand while still also a perfume. Settles into a tropical ylang vanilla over a gorgeously blended slightly bitter patchouli and sandalwood.

Maremma’s sophisticated woody tropical floral character is reminiscent of the Tom Ford fragrance but I prefer Maremma because it’s less overtly synthetic and more about a solar wood. It belongs sqarely to the genre of perfumes where white florals are contrasted with a dark, sweet woody base (think BO, Isabey Lys Noir, Fleur Nocturne). Of those I think this is the most unisex and easiest to wear.

UPDATE: There's something indistinct about it's personality, when I remember it, rather than when I wear it. So although it's easy to wear I think its for vanilla lovers and maybe doesn't succeed as a perfume with character.

trabuquera

Beautiful, womanly scent - a lush, velvety, enveloping, rich floral with amazingly long life and assertive projection. From the descriptions and all of that rhapsodising about the Italian countryside I thought it might have more unexpected herbal edges, but no. It really is so very, very close to Black Orchid that the choice comes down to two things:

1/ Subtlety - this is (just barely noticeably) more subtly organic-seeming and less screechy / plasticky than Black Orchid on the dry down, though there's honestly very little in it. You'd need to be smelling both side by side to detect a difference.

2/ Price - where I am, this is selling for roughly similar sums as Black Orchid per 100ml bottle, but if you find it heavily discounted it really is almost indistinguishable from the Tom Ford.

thesheppardess

I would have to agree that this is a kinder, gentler form of the dark Tom Fords. I pick up bits of Noir de Noir, Black Orchid etc.

This was a successful blind swap for me, a very rare thing. I detect very dusty cacao. The notes I usually run away from have been handled very well here. (Woods, oud, blackcurrant leaf.) The more I sniff, the more I like. It smells dark and perfect for winter. Very gender neutral. There are moments when I almost smell a little coconut but that may be the ylang-ylang as the two are so often paired.

The bottle is very attractive and surprisingly heavy.

Gorska

Amazing fragrance, with a character and intense. With the first smell it immediately reminds me of some of Byredo's kids - a mixture between Bullion and Pulp with their smoky scents. Like it very much!

Cherry_Darling

100% black orchid.

Ekho

I agree with the other reviewers- this is strikingly similar to TF Black Orchid. The first time I encountered that, I was in love. I wore it as my signature for a while. When spring came, it seemed too heavy and I quit the habit. When fall returned, and I revisited the stuff and I was completely turned off. My love was never to be rekindled. Today, about 5 years post Black Orchid affair, I tried Maremma, unknowing of its likeness to the former. Although there is definitely something beautiful about Maremma, I find it too loud and overpowering. I'm unable to ignore it and I'm unable to smell anything else around me. Sillage is beastly powerful, and it has staying power to match. If it were an animal, it might be a giant black lion with large claws. It has a certain dark, gritty, woody, creamy sexiness. I prefer it over Black Orchid, because it is not as screechy. It calms into something softer and more approachable 45 minutes or so after application. At this point, the sillage is quieter and a creamy cocoa and thick honey are more easily detected, but are blackened by persistent patchouli grit, dark amber, and labdanum. Sharp and pungent, creamy, and dry at the same time somehow. I think this is more feminine than masculine, and would be more appropriate in the evening during the colder months of the year.

Raquel73

Ohhh! Maremma is really special i feel in love with this.I have Black orchid and this is diferent. In my skin Black Orchide is more floral and sof, this is really dark and stronger. For night is sooo wonderful!!
Longetivy and sillage are so good !

Im lost, has anyone seen my marbles?

Im lost... and that's just fine..

You know you put on a fragrance and its soo good you end up laying on the floor with you wrist glued to your nose its something special.

Just WOW!
Wanna get lost, go on some journey.. where? Somewhere, ya somewhere over there!
Its so deep the cacao at first smells dry, but soon it seems to be wet powder ( thanks iris ). It just pulls you in. .. I'm lost.

Amber does its job, oud keeps you guessing, the dry almost bridle greens keep it bitter, the wood keeps it erect.

Its dry, bitter, yet sweet, and strong.

Performance is how Niche should be, banging!

Cheers

I think that you need to be a very particular type of man to pull it off. No man with a lack of confidence can wear it.

I see it as a sassy feminine. Its sultry and creamy and bitter and even a bit oily in its nature. Cocoa and persimmon do a fantastic job of sweetening the plethora of woody materials used. I don't normally like cocoa, but the bitter buttery variety here is spectacular. It mixes wonderfully with the agarwood used here, the fruits and flowers add a rich and lush background.

Lasting power is superb. It is one of those moody perfumes that don't do well during the day but come to life at night.

Cereza

From the start I was perplexed as where I have encountered this sort of scent before. It took me an hour when "Maremma" switched to something that disturbed me a lot - the dirty, sweaty smell of dark fluids and chocolate. And then it hit me - BLACK ORCHID!

On my skin this resembles "Black Orchid" so badly - and I have to honestly admit that I had a love affair with Black Orchid for a while, but then grew to completely despise the scent. So unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy this, I kept wanting to scrub this off. I might say though that "Maremma" is a bit tamed down and nicer version of "Black Orchid", more feminine and floral.

If you enjoy "Black Orchid", but are not completely sure you want to wear it in your every day situations, give "Maremma" a chance - excellent longevity and silage.

As for me - I'll pass.

SAKE
