The Scentimentalist

Not the ultimate jasmine I was looking for. It is similar in style to Alexander McQueen's eponymous tuberose perfume except with jasmine. Opens with a dark brown tea like note and morphs into heavy leathery jasmine and tuberose. I was underwhelmed by the scent and overwhelmed by the price. Not a safe blind buy.

archerries

Top notes completely undetectable. Cuts straight to the cloying white florals - jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, magnolia, ylang-ylang etc. It's a bit J'adore Dior / Do Son Diptyque / Febreze. Not for me.

amethystfeline

white florals are my muse, and i'm especially a sucker for jasmine, but lush's lust (the ULTIMATE jasmine) can be a little overbearing for daily wear, so i was on the hunt for a shiny new jasmine scent to whisk me away. i purchased a 10ml decant of this based on the notes alone— i was imagining what POAL is to rose, this would be to jasmine. that is; spicy, dark, and yet still agreeable to those around you. i thought maybe, just maybe, this would be The One. perhaps god herself bestowed this scent upon the earth solely for me to wear, as an office siren by day and a femme fatale by night.

it's boring. it smells like lotion you'd get at TJ maxx. it was worth a try.

Jeff Shin

Absolute BANGER. Wanna boost confidence with a perfume? This is the ultimate confidence in a bottle type of scent.

Mayoushi

Its my signature perfume since 2015.
The scent now is soo normal for me i cannot even describe it its a part of my skin. Its luxury jasmine in a bottle. But honestly not overlasting.

saho93

I thought I smelled tuberose, but the note is not listed here.
Despite the moniker, I am not sure I got that much jasmine from this.
That said, it’s a competently blended perfume.

parvatishallow

Nice opening but sits very rubbery on my skin. I didn't enjoy tbh.

Liumars

Just like Le Labo Lys 41

AngeliqueKiki

The perfume opens on a clean jasmine note (fresh laundry in the garden) and slowly develops its warmth. By the end of the night the woodiness appears making this a lovely day to night scent. I enjoy this perfume but it is nothing special for this price point.

sugarhiccup

It smells a bit like jasmine pearl tea, which is one of my favourite things to smell. And so, I bought it because I loved it when I tried it at a store. But when I put it on once the package came in I kind of regretted doing it. It smells fresh and soapy clean in a way that just doesn't work when you've just come home from work, rain soaked and worn out. I took a very long shower but it still lingered for hours, which is impressive. It's not only jasmine, but it does feel like just a lot of loud flower. A hint of some spice, citrus and wood, but only a hint you actively have to pay attention to. Remarkably, one of the few perfumes that state to smell like jasmine and actually do without feeling artificial. I wish the other notes developed more but I also appreciate the scent doesn't wildly change over time. It feels reliable and natural. I think this one could be a lot more unisex if it weren't for the vanilla.

If I'm wearing this in the evening or colder seasons, it'd have to be a dressy and formal occasion, Otherwise it's just too femme for me. Genuinely something I look forward to wearing in spring and summer however. I can just feel the breeze and the sunshine on my face with this one. Like other Tom Ford perfumes I've tried I'll have to get used to wearing it and I might limit it to just one spritz since it's so strong, but I bet it'll attract a lot of positive attention, humans and bees alike.

johns.christine

I purchased a sample of this perfume in my hunt for a new signature scent. I am almost crazy about this perfume but it’s just a little off the mark for me. It’s super floral but to me it smells more like gardenia than true jasmine but I love the hints of warm, slightly spicy, black tea that I keep catching behind the overwhelming floral notes. It can be a bit much so I wouldn’t be able to wear this on a day when I feel a migraine on the horizon. I did get a compliment when a friend came in for a hug so bonus points for this one!!

HelenRainbow

Perfect summer perfume. A bit leathery jasmine with green tea and cardamom. Irreplaceable for hot days. Has an absolutely amazing long heady sillage.

perfumejasper

LOVE at first sniff! I can’t stop smelling my wrist when I have this on, my favourite perfume. So elegant, sensual and classy. However it doesn’t last very long which is a real shame for the price tag.

Lorela

I went to a perfume store in Tirana to buy Delina. I sprayed Delina on my wrist and it felt too much at the beginning so I was smelling other perfumes... When I smelled TF Jasmin Rouge I felt like I travelled back in time to my childhood. I don't identify which part of my childhood exactly but sure I loved this sensation and smell... It's weird because I always hoped that TF Velvet Orchid would smell like this and I was kind of disappointed when I knew it didn’t. But this one... Wow.. A mysterious lady whose name could be Jasmin since she leaves this deep Jasmin scent while walking with her bouncing hair while her high heels make their tak tak noise...You could fall in love with this woman but you don't chase her since the scent is making you doubt if she was real or just your fantasy. Wow... What a unique floral soapy woody scent. Simple but still mysterious. It makes me wanna doll up and go to the fanciest lounge with a slow catwalk wearing a classy black shirt with classy black cowboy trousers with dark purple lipstick and high heels. And who knows... If someone would ask for my name I would lie and say "Jasmin" :P so yeah, I bought it and I will make this fantasy happen this friday...BTW: I bought Delina too in the end because it developed nicely on my skin... I will write my review there too.

Swashbuckler9x

This is the most gorgeous jasmine scent I've ever smelled. Really something special.

Anyone know where TF sources their jasmine from?

ckorp8

“ Indoor scent can be overwhelming and claustrophobic” yes, imagine the scent, or the stench, when my package contained 250ml arrived damaged, leaving only about 10ml I could salvage. Still, I love the scent still.

Vivien Huang

The best jasmine perfume I have ever tried. Love it 🥰

takema

Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge is a very jasmine dominant fragrance. The jasmine used smells very natural with a hint of green woodiness in the background. The sensuality of jasmine is highlighted here. It is lush and smooth with aromatic spices that add a little complexity to what might otherwise feel a bit like a solinote fragrance.

I find this type of jasmine very feminine, but the spices and woodiness add a little unisex appeal. I think Jasmine Rouge is a beautiful scent, but I don't think I would ever have the occasion to wear it. This type of floral doesn't appeal to me in cold weather, but I find this one too heavy for summer time. In the heat I find it overwhelming and headache inducing. For this reason, TF Eau de Jasmine Rouge (the EDT), is more fitting for my collection. I find it more versatile and wearable in hot weather. It also helps that it retails for half the price of the EDP.

Jasmine Rouge has excellent performance. It lasts 8-10 hours on skin with strong projection for the first 2-3 hours. It continues to project well after those forst couple hours reaching around arms reach and has a lovely trail.

The packaging is beautiful. It is the typical Tom Ford Private Blend bottle, but in a beautiful dark red that highlights the sensual charachter of Jasmine Rouge.

Like the rest of the Private Blends, this is ludicrously over-priced. I have seen it at discounters for a little more than half the retail price. Still pricey, but not unreasonable. Eau de Jasmine Rouge is a much better deal for a more versatile fragrance. The retail price has really creeped up in the last year or two though.

TheodoreMnts

It’s a really nice floral fragrance, but too feminine to my liking. It’s something I would give to my Titas

scenturian

The best jasmine perfume I have ever tried.
Truly intoxicates.
Exactly smells like jasmines, other notes add a little bit spiciness and base. Linear and that's what I like.
From beginning to the end smells just like a jasmine bouquet.
Easily lasts 12+ hours.

1ex

I tried to like this perfume, I really did. However it was a little too spicy for a jasmine scent for me, that I had to part ways with it (perfume swapped with a friend who ended up giving to their mother so it wasn't a complete, albeit expensive, waste).

Laurad96

I've been on the lookout for a true Jasmine scent for a long time and Tom Ford's Jasmine rouge finally seemed to be the one. The jasmine used in the perfume smells exactly like the Jasmine Sambac I grow in my garden. However, after using it for a while I couldn't get over the warmth and spiciness of it. It kept getting in the way of appreciating the amazing jasmine scent, and I personally feel that if the scent had been slightly 'cooler' and 'fresher' it would have been perfect. It is a great fragrance with good performance and sillage but it sadly isn't for me.

WitchQueen

7.5/10. Probably my favorite white flower centric perfume. I picture wearing a white linen dress or shirt and going on a picnic. There is something about that feels clean and even pristine. But I don't love it and can't justify buying even a travel bottle for something that I might wear a few times a year.

astrorocks

My favorite tea - the only tea I drink almost - is jasmine. This perfume somehow manages to smell exactly like that to me, especially on the initial spray, even though there aren't any tea notes (technically). Jasmine is absolutely at the forefront here, but there is a slight fresh, watery and green quality to the jasmine here that gives it this vibe. It reminds me of rainy evenings curled up with a mug of my jasmine tea and a book and I find that ever-so comforting. What I really enjoy is, as it dries down, I definitely get a hint of that woody-spicy in there and it becomes more and more woody on my skin. Slightly amber, but I get more wood here to be honest (not bad, I love woody scents). BUT, the most critical thing is that it doesn't lose complexity for me. I get the fresh spiced wood and I can still smell that initial hit of jasmine tea even a few hours after I've sprayed it and, often, florals can be overtaken by amber and woody notes in fragrances. That well-blended aspect, along with the fantastic sillage and longevitity, makes me justify the price point. That's not always the case with Tom Ford (looking at you, Lost Cherry). I never really get any fruity or vanilla notes and I can only maybe detect other florals if I try very very hard. This is great because I WANT it to stay a woody jasmine tea. There's a lot of elegance to this fragrance. I can imagine a well-groomed mid-40s woman in a long red silk dress at some museum fundraiser. She floats as she walks and has a charming smile. There's something grown up about Jasmine Rouge - which isn't always a given with white florals - but it also doesn't smell TOO old. It has decent longevity for me (around 6-8 hours). I have a super sensitive nose that often gets very testy and, honestly, Tom Ford rarely fails me on this aspect because his blending and balance are good (and he doesn't use tons of musks in most of his bases). It's an easy 10/10, but of course white florals are among my favorite notes out there.

Dryasiulia

Jasmine is in so many "tuberose" fragrances (even the soliflores) that I think a lot of people don't really know where one begins and the other ends.

I don't find any tuberose here. Overall this is mostly sweet, clean jasmine. There's enough yummy ylang to give it that "sexy skin" bit, but the rest really just blends in the background to give an overall sense of richness and heft. It's not too syrupy sweet, dainty, a big-hair white floral or even a "natural jasmine" soliflore....it somehow manages to be perfumey yet not feel at all like a kitchen-sink type PERFUME.

I don't need it. It isn't ground-breaking or incredibly unique. But, it is wonderful to wear and just different enough from the jasmines I already have that I do want it.

ponderbread

I don't know how tuberose isn't listed as a note because this sure as hell smells like tuberose in the top notes, as evidenced by all the comparisons to tuberose-heavy fragrances. It dries down to a nice jasmine, but not nice enough for me to look past that opening (since I'm not a big tuberose fan).

sugarcane

I am a guy so keep that in mind.

So, this smells like Jasmine (no ****). If I had to say what it reminds me of; it reminds me of Jasmine green tea, it also gives me this kind of watered down root beer vibe. Not in bad way though, almost like those root beer candies shaped like barrels. Now that may be due to the composition of notes but alas that’s what it reminds me of.

That is pretty much it. I don’t regret my purchase but Im not sure I would buy it again. Those familiar with say lavender extreme (which does lavender but with a bit more going on and also is one of my fave Tom fords). This is just kind of Jasmine. I wish there was more to it, more vanilla or something to give it more complexity.

{The Dua Fragrance Clone Bottle Review}
Regal Jasmin 🤍

Such a sexy, sophisticated scent. Not screechy at all. A very honey like Jasmin. LITERALLY! A very nice rounded fragrance, the white florals blend so well with the amber and spices. I am 22 and this fragrance is just so elegant and classy while being fun, bright, sweet and sensual!

I wore this to church and it literally brought me and everyone around me so much joy, everyone loved it. It is a bright and sweet perfume with hints of spice. It has a bit of a medicinal note that comes down in the middle of drying which I think could be the cardamom note. It does wear off as it continues to dry down, the spices also wear off and FINALLY you are left with a smooth Jasmin Amber. The Medicinal note reminded me of Alien Essence Absolu. (They do not smell the same at all but gives me the same vibes.)

WHERE would I wear this perfume: Cruise dinner, traveling to any island, elegant party, fancy dinner, first class flight, boujie hotel, expensive trip, church.

What would I DO wearing this perfume: Spa day, drinking wine or champagne, out with the girlies.

What would I WEAR with this perfume: Dress up (Elegant, Fancy) LITERALLY NANNY FINE VIBEZ when she had to go somewhere luxurious.

I have tested and worn this one several times and I just love it so much. I like it so much that I'm terrified of buying a bottle in case I grow to hate it :( such a beautiful evening smell, perfect date night perfume in my opinion. The Jasmine notes are really full and smooth, like, hold your wrist up to your nose and sniff DEEPLY and there still aren't any sneaky chemical smells hiding in it. This smell makes me feel like a Bond girl :)

MoctezumaC

ABSOLUTE GORGEUOSITY OF A FRAGRANCE!!!!!

Girl, stop thinking about it and just get this already. Very seductive, fun, bright, sensual....it is everything you want a Tom Ford fragrance to be.

I spray this all over and love to inundate the olfactory senses of those around me. No matter how much you spray the compliments from everyone will rain.... on..... YOU!

I will re-purchase this one day as I do feel it is a bit overpriced.

Good ingredients, good projection, expensive price point. Smells like a jasmine bouquet... Someone should be paying me for these sumptuous reviews.

imegaphone

I loved this for the first hour, it was so intoxicating, femme fatale vibes like I've never smelled before, but then it became reminiscent of public restroom air fresheners with a metallic note that made me think of blood. WHY :(( I love Tom Ford, but this is not for me.

smccmurphy

Something about this smells like sweet iced tea to me. Still very nice. Definitely Jasmin forward as the name suggests, but not with the kick in the teeth intensity of Angel. That said, longevity isn’t as good either. More of a skin scent.

L8eenL8

From wanting a full bottle after a quick sniff to the first perfume to give me both nausea and headache at the same time, this is not the love story I hoped for when I saw the sexy red bottle at the store.
In theory, I don't hate jasmine. But really, Jasmin Rouge makes me choke and it's the fragrance that gave me a hint I might not be a jasmine kinda girl.
I imagined myself on a hot summer night, dancing racily in a red dress with my partner, but even if it happens, sadly, I won't be wearing this perfume. Good thing I didn't buy a bottle before testing a decant.

Edemay

the more i try and wear this the more it smells like rubber and condoms
im starting to actually hate it

I have jasmine in my front garden and have tried many different jasmine scents, this does not smell like jasmine!

Gourmandgurl888

This is probably the most true jasmine scent I’ve ever smelled! And when I ask my friends they totally agree! If you want a straightforward linear jasmine scent without the synthetic and sweet notes this is your fragrance! It’s good longevity and good projection, I think it leans more feminine but heard some male frag reviewers are raving about this too? Wow I think it could be great on guys too!

KevinTheCarrot

I usually love a white floral and I mustn't have remembered it properly when trying it in store.

I can smell a very sharp jasmine, backed by the clary sage and pepper. I don't seem to get any of the notes that balance out the perfume, to make it less sharp and more wearable. I can understand the review that mentioned air freshener, as that's very close to what I get. 1980s style screechiness, but without anything particularly loveable.

Sillage is ok, the notes I can detect stay with same for me. Longevity is very good, as I could still smell this on my coat the next day.

I swapped it with my friend... she can cope with screechy perfumes, more than I can.

queen of confrontation

A very photo realistic jasmine scent. Smells like spring blooms of jasmine with brewing jasmine tea.
Selling a full 100ml bottle on Ebay (Australia only). Beautiful but I never wear it unfortunately.

alternateu

BEAUTIFUL, slightly spicy, crisp, clean jasmine with a hint of tea. love it, one of the most beautiful jasmines I've ever smelled. Incredibly photorealistic. Lacks the "heady" indolic vibe of a lot of other jasmines.
But absolutely zero longevity or sillage - and for that reason, can't justify a purchase.

E.L.2002

Criminally generic white floral female fragrance. Can't recommend.

Scent 5/10
Performance ?/10
Versatility 6,5/10

Anrau1234

This is extremely realistic jasmine. just straight up smells like you stuck your head in a bush of jasmine. linear in my opinion, but that's why i like it

WhiteFlowerPrincess

I smelt this at a David Jones and by golly, this is STRONG! And in a bad way.

It smacks you with lots of citrus, spices and oud and I only get a faint amount of jasmine. There's lots of wood in this as well.

If you are a white floral lover like me, then stay far away from this perfume! It also has very large sillage, but it doesn't last long on the skin and on me it disappeared within 90 minutes of spraying it on. Too bad. I've yet to find a Tom Ford fragrance that I like... they are MASSIVELY OVERRATED!

CanadaPrfumLVR

This perfume sold itself in the store because I sprayed it and held it to my wrist and loved the scent immediately. Spicy. Soft. Warm. Juicy. I hate sweet and never ever at wear them, but this was a slight honey or honeysuckle, doable and delicious. First second after spray, gorgeous. Lovely. Warm. Day/ night. It’s doesn’t matter. That second is exactly what you would love dawn to dusk and after. Then it literally disappears. It is not worth that much per bottle to have it end so abruptly within minutes. Not even long enough to attach itself to a single memory or song. It is simple way too overpriced. And it isn’t about money. It just doesn’t last.

lanajito

It's a jasmine-heavy fragrance with a strong presence of ylang ylang. My husband bought it for me as a Christmas gift a few years ago. I didn't mind it at first, but then I paired it with TF Santal Blush, which was a nice combo, but for the price point of TF, I expect it be a fragrance that doesn't need to be layered and can stand well on its own. On its own, it veers into the territory of smelling like a bathroom air freshener, specifically the cone-shaped ones with the gel-like substance inside that slowly disappears overtime. I ended up selling this on FB marketplace to declutter.

marietangerine

This is so beautiful. It is a very realistic jasmine. It’s warm and fresh, with a very well blended jasmine-ylang ylang-neroli concoction. The jasmine dominates, but the ylang gives it a creaminess and the neroli makes it fresh. There are some spicy notes hidden in the background to ground it, but essentially this smells like sticking your face in a jasmine bunch on a warm evening. This is great for all seasons, day or night, but probably leans a little “dressed up”, as opposed to jeans and a T-shirt.

princesslopez4890

I’m not a huge fan of Jasmine because it usually leans too green on me but this right here is amazing. I was floored, it’s beautiful, sexy, whimsical. If I were to spend my hard earned money on one Tom ford fragrance it would be this. This is the only Jasmine based fragrance I’d actually repurchase. One of the few fragrances that has actually been able to transport me. Soon as I have the chance I will be purchasing this. I know it’s expensive but in my opinion Worth it, I just hope it lasts. I only sampled it at Nordstrom so i cannot speak on longevity at this time. But I did pick up most of the notes upon just sampling except for the leather, ylang, neroli, sage, but definitely the Amber, the vanilla the citrus is there!

giovanimoni

Sex in a bottle so sexy

Enrium

Jasmin Rouge is a beautiful jasmine-led scent, but is far from a soliflore. Complex yet cohesive, it features a beautiful composition centred around a clean jasmine note. It is classic in structure, a rich, heady floral bouquet with a nice amber drydown. While it is reminiscent of other perfumes, it is an excellent floral scent in its own right.

JR opens with jasmine, heady yet clean, bolstered to perfection by soft, warm spices. There is a subtle orange undertone, thanks to the citrus and neroli notes, adding a lovely fruity edge. After a while, ylang ylang comes to the fore, adding its typical tropically sweet creaminess to the bouquet. It becomes powdery as it develops.

As it dries down, a rich amber-vanilla accord develops in the base, enhancing the sweetness of the florals. Soft woody notes ground it, and the amber becomes more animalic and leathery as it progresses. It fades to a musky skin scent eventually. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

A classic, elegant floriental, this is rich and well-rounded, nicely balanced and good quality. A transeasonal feminine scent for day or night, JR is pleasant and wearable despite its richness. A luxurious bouquet with jasmine at its heart. Not sure what is meant by "rouge" though. 4/5.

Kizzyb93

Second review on this now I get the a fabulous warm jasmine that feels like deep red velvet. Yummy and attention grabbing , I do personally get a little bit of soapy vibe but I found myself reaching for this twice in one week

PerfumePixie87

I love this. This is a classic floral perfume done right, without feeling in any way dated. It’s a voluptuous white floral with exotic solar touches from the ylang ylang, and grounded by pepper and warm spices. It feels classically feminine, sophisticated but alluring at the same time. Jasmin Rouge is ladylike; a beautiful with a hint of naughtiness, the kind of scent that makes you want to celebrate all that is wonderful about being a woman!

violeteme

If not for the very well felt ylang-ylang, this would be a natural smelling jasmine soliflore, but it is not. Ylang-ylang adds some sweetness, spiciness and some sort of vanillic undertone. Jasmin Rouge smells quite Parisian, bold, sensual and mature. It's still a sophisticated one, I always thought of it as similar to Chanel No 5, if aldehydes were removed. Jasmin Rouge is not a ballerina or a bridal white floral, it is not dainty, fragile. I quite like it at a first glance, although I am not keen on jasmines that much, this smells slightly vintage. But I can't bare that vanillic, sweet undertone of it.

Riri33

Natural smelling jasmine. Extremely long lasting with great projection. I find it to be uncomplicated as only the jasmine is the main character here. It’s a great perfume. Very pricey for what it is but then again... there is no other comparable jasmine of its quality on the market. You only need one spray with this one so it could last you a long time.

emeraldmh

The jasmine in this fragrance is beautiful yet fleeting. It quickly dries down into a generic tuberose, which is surprisingly not mentioned in the notes, it is a nice scent, however not worth it when you consider how expensive it is and how the jasmine note completely faded after 8 minutes. I would love a fragrance that has a similar jasmine note that does not fade in the dry down.

neşeyusubova

I am fascinated by this perfume. They look great when I wear them. Especially at work, everyone asked about this perfume. The Tom Ford difference. Very good performance

RadleyB

I love Jasmine, I despise this. All I get is overpowering sharp synthetic and terrible attempt at Jasmine. I gave mine away.

CanadaPrfumLVR

This is an expensive and short lived fragrance. I can spray it four times on either wrist and have to hold my wrist to my nose to smell it. Really a waste of money for such an expensive perfume. It smells very much of incense. I would not recommend purchasing based on its very short-lived life after spraying.

Air of Grace

Too much spice for me to enjoy the Jasmine . Not a fan

demhayerawsah

I like jasmine and am a die-hard fan of Jo Malone's Jasmine Sambac and Marigold. However, Jasmine Rouge is just not it for me. It is a throwback fragrance to another era and is too rubbery and harsh when applied to the skin.
It is wonderful on fabrics though and lingers on as only white florals can.

Linnsim

This is a stunning perfume. I tested it for the first time a couple of days ago and decided this is FBW. It’s a strong, sexy and delicious jasmine fragrance. It has actually climbed to my top 5 for life. You have to be a white floral lover like me. This for me is THE jasmine perfume. It reminds me of Jasmine Sambac and Marigold from Jo Malone which I also have and love.

It opens a bit spicy and settles with a gorgeous creamy and beautifully blended jasmine scent, strong projection and performance. If you love white florals, but like the beast mode perfumes, this is the one. Perfect for a date night but also as a signature scent if you dont overspray. This is for a confident, sexy and femenine woman. Compliment getter.

Meghabyte

This jasmine started off smelling fresh and promising but dried down to smell overpowering and tuberose like. Definitely recommend you sample it before purchasing, I was looking for a fresh, photorealistic jasmine and this is not it.

NVK

Long lasting!

Beautiful floral fragrance. Went to Tom Ford store and the staff recommended me to buy this saying that it is a unisex fragrance. I’m guy and I know fragrance has no gender but I feel that this one smells more feminine. I didn’t buy this but, I just applied one spray on my shirt and now the whole room is smelling good because that shirt is hanging in the corner of my room.

I love this but I would advise others to try before buying it.

Very confused that I only found two other reviews comment on the fact that this is straight, LOUD gardenia! As someone who grows and has grown up around gardenia and at least five types of jasmine, this is certainly gardenia. that's not a bad thing, I generally find gardenia more wearable than jasmine, but something to note before blind buying.

LeSucreRose

Gorgeous white floral with some interest added by the other notes! One of my favorite Tom Ford fragrances!

Fountain30

Long lasting
Projects massively for the first hour so be careful with the trigger
Lots of notes listed but honestly it just smells of jasmine and nothing else

DT953

Okay, so I initially loved this but now I've come around to it being pretty boring ... and Gucci Bloom being more enjoyable than this. They're sort of similar, but Gucci Bloom is brighter and more fun. This has a strange rubbery texture that just doesn't quite work. Glad I didn't buy a full bottle and decided to continue using the sample until I'd used it all.

Edit: I must add on that I don't actively dislike this scent, I just don't find the rubbery texture working on my skin.

msamber86

This is a beautiful spicy and creamy jasmine. There is some sweetness in the notes (cardamon, mandarin orange, etc) that keep the smoky notes from becoming overwhelming. I am absolutely in love with this one. It’s very Indian (caradmon, Jasmine, incense), which is a plus for me. This is what I love about Tom Ford. When they get it right it’s absolutely heaven.

This does remind me a bit of Velvet Gardenia by Tom Ford. Velvet gardenia uses a different flower as the base but both are smoky, spicy, creamy renditions of a white floral. If you like this one I would recommend trying velvet gardenia as well.

apeysaur

I only have a decant that I am savouring. I typically only go for gourmands but this is so delicious! Realistic jasmine scent with a little creaminess and a little spice.

synthetik_smurf

I have to agree with others that said there was a beautiful opening of Jasmine. It was sparkly and fresh for 2 minutes before being quickly taken over by a distinctly suffocating tuberose. It’s strange that that is not listed here. If it’s not in the notes it’s a few notes together that smell just like tuberose. Maybe it’s the cardamom and neroli idk. Whatever the case, it made it kind of MEH😑. It’s a challenging smell because it’s so heady. I’m going to have to get used to it like Nuit de Tuberose from L’artisan, but that’s what I get for blind buying based on listed notes.

Marxwick

It is a realistic and potent jasmine floral scent with good projection and longevity.
Although I prefer the lighter and balanced florals in Champaca Absolute, this is still one of the worthy ones in the private blend collection.

taurusenergy

This opens as realistic jasmine flowers and subtle amber but quickly dries down into straight tuberose, with no more jasmine to be seen. What! Quite the magic trick, but tuberose is not what I signed up for. Boooo.

glendohergirl

I haven't tried this on my skin yet, but it evokes a powerful sense memory. When I looked at the ingredients, I realised what it was: broom. For those who may not know it, broom is a yellow shrub with a sweet, sunlotion kind of smell. I walk past a broom bush on my way to work and it smells heavenly when in bloom. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it. Maybe it's not common in America? (I'm in Ireland).

Stoicchild

I don't know about the latest formula but I tried the original when it first came out. HOLY JASMINE.

How is this an Amber scent?! This is a STRONG Jasmine Neroli scent. It's headache inducing!

I only tried this due to the hype but they only hype up the shittiest scents so they sell. I'm no fool.

The Nose that Knows

I originally bought this for my wife, she liked it but I loved it. I think a man can get away wearing also. Smells really good, very seductive. Sexy on a man or a woman.

c3kings

nice, but weak performance.

Tinabill

TF’s JR is a creamy lush jasmine, softly sweet and spicy. I get a hint of tuberose adding body and creaminess to the jasmine, vanilla and amber provide warmth and a mild sweetness, cinnamon and cardamom add a subdued but noticeable spicy facet.
Sophisticated seductress.
A truly beautiful jasmine, I wish I could afford more than a 5 ml decant.

strongerwithglue

Instead of sambac jasmine, I smell spicy tuberose.

vanillaliebhaber

I love this scent so much, it is so beautiful and makes me feel on top of the world. I love it so much that I'm purposly not wearing it since I want this to be my wedding day scent and am saving it for that occasion and scent memory. Which hurts, because I want to wear this ALL THE TIME.

I grew up my jasmine bushes all over my garden and this smells so realistic. Reminds me of my fondest childhoof memories, but also makes me feel elegant, feminine, classy but sexy at the same time. A big love.

Autumn_Moon

I stumbled across this beauty years ago while on the hunt for my "ideal" jasmine scent. I was looking for a photo-realistic jasmine -- something that reminded me of my grandpa's jasmine plant in the backyard... and I have to say, it delivered in that respect.

The fragrance is relatively linear from start to finish, and I feel that the jasmine is lush, creamy, and slightly indolic, but not overly so; it's not a completely pure, innocent jasmine, but it also doesn't read too "forward" or "dirty." It smells quite natural. On me, the lengthy list of spices and additional notes only serve to round out and gently support what is otherwise a realistic jasmine soliflore. If you're looking for something that isn't the scent of pure, unabashed jasmine all the way, you might be disappointed by its relative simplicity (as well as its rather hefty Tom Ford price tag). If, like me, you're looking for a memory in a bottle, you might want to give this one a try.

Longevity isn't the greatest, especially compared to some of the other TF powerhouses, some of which have been known to last all day and into the next morning on my skin. It also isn't an all-day sillage monster (on me, anyway). A part of me wishes it were, but I also recognize the benefits of its middle-of-the-road performance, as it seems to adapt fairly well to various seasons and occasions. Bottom line: I love it for what it is.

antoniov

I do smell jasmin with ylang ylang and leather on my skin. It's a nice combination, a bit heavy as a fragrance but definitely a sexy/mature fragrance for nights.

Mandie2786

I love this fragrance, I’ve had it for over 6 years and it still smells amazing. I agree with the comments below, I do smell tuberose more than the jasmine throughout the day and it does dry down to a creamy musky scent. However, this isn’t a fragrance that has much sillage. It’s an intimate fragrance, I smell it on myself throughout the day and received compliments only when someone is close enough. I prefer wearing this fragrance in the colder months, hence the reason why it’s lasted me this long. Overall it’s a beautiful scent, sexy, sophisticated, and provocative.

trmylien

This perfume is one of the first "real" fragrance that I smelt. I remember stealing a sample of this from my mom's purse and fell in love with it immediately. Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge is the perfect jasmine and white flowers perfume to me. This perfume is definitely not as bold and strong as his other bottles but it captures the jasmine note beautifully and uniquely. I get a "true" jasmine smell along with a tiny bit of citrus from the orange mandarin and dry down into a beautiful vanilla and musky woody base. I personally hate perfumes that smell overly sweet or floral since it gives me headaches, so Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge for me is the perfect fragrance for the colder time without the overdone smell of vanilla and floral; simple yet elegant and not boring at all. However, this stuff is so expensive I could only afford a 10ml decant of it and I hate that I love it. I spray it on for special occasion only since I'd hate to waste a drop of it.

Tincel

Slight disappointment after trying it on skin. I would have hoped for a bit more spice or indolic vibes, maybe less of the other flowers and the vanilla. This is a nice scent, but a bit boring, which makes the price unjustifiable.

luminaries

A beautiful jasmine perfume from a house that I don't typically have a lot of luck with! At first spray, I get mostly jasmine and ylang ylang - to my nose, this is an indolic jasmine green tea kind of scent and there's a transparency to the perfume that makes it feel like you've applied the steam coming off the tea. The heart of the perfume is a warm combination of the white florals and the cardamom, not so much spicy as making it feel more well rounded. The leather note peeks through here and the perfume becomes a little heavier, but it fades quickly thankfully. Otherwise the dry down keeps the jasmine and adds some sweet musky woodiness. I found longevity to be great because of the heavier dry down, I find this perfume to last 6+ hours on me and the sillage is at arm's length, but thankfully not too strong.

Kizzyb93

I’m not sure about this one I’ve had it in my collection about a week and I’ve worn it twice I adore first five minutes when it dries down, it reminds me of The smell you get when you walk into a the steam shower room when someone is just left after a shower, and brushed there teeth , It’s kind of soapy and I get a toothpaste vibe.( not that it smells minty), but I get that vibe for some reason. Not sure if It’s a fake as I bought from a private seller , the bottle does look legit! so if anyone’s had the same experience could you let me know please 🙏
As far as I can tell I think this is more of a colder weather fragrance it lasts a fair couple of hours, and The projection isn’t bad at all as my friend said she could smell it on me from across the room .
All I know it’s not a bad smell but there is that irritating toothpaste vibe that I can’t unsmell
I will be updating in the future!

jashes

So I don't own this perfume, however I bought The Body Shop Moringa EDT the other day and the following day I sampled Jasmin Rouge. I must say, TBS Moringa comes too close to this one at-least with the initial jasmine blast, obviously the TBS one doesn't stay long enough to have a dry down lol (lasts 2-4 hours max with multiple, very generous sprays), but considering the DRASTIC price difference it's a must try for jasmine lovers.

Kerilaine

My husband bought this for me as a birthday gift several years ago and I love, love it! I also love the story of how he chose it. He described me to the guy behind the perfume counter at Neiman Marcus as a dainty belle with an edge. I love that he sees me this way! This is the fragrance the sales associate recommended based on that description, and he couldn’t have gotten it more perfect even if he had known me for years! I love quality fragrances, but I’ve always struggled. The popular fragrances that smell dreamy on others smell awful on me. Fragrances tend to turn quickly on my skin to something weird and dank, especially the florals I love. I’ve tried so many and been so disappointed. They also tend to not last long on me. Jasmine Rouge is a wonderful exception. It works on me! It smells just as heavenly hours later. The fragrance evolves on my skin throughout the day, and it is always beautiful. I definitely get strong notes of Jasmine. It’s sweet and floral at first and then shifts toward spicy, feminine leather on the drydown. It’s artsy and exotic with the ideal amount of masculinity to keep the floral from being too sweet. I wish my nose were sophisticated enough to identify all the gorgeous notes, but alas, I’m not able to distinguish the subtler scents. All I know is it is divine. To me, this is a perfect scent for all occasions and times of the year. It’s sexy, intelligent and mysterious. Just as appropriate for work when spritzed very sparingly as for date night when I can enjoy applying a little more. The bottle is beautiful too, although I keep it in a drawer instead of displaying it to protect it from sunlight. It brings to mind what I imagine the Parisian salons of the 1920s literary and art crowd would be like - with treasures from the orient and leather-bound books all spilling out through open French doors into a courtyard overgrown with jasmine. We’ll done, Tom Ford!

MarlenaStell

One of my favorites from Tom Ford because it feels unique to me with the strong Jasmine but balanced with the vanilla. I bought the EDT and it did t last as long so got the EDP and it’s much longer wearing. I love this one so much that I don’t mind having both because I wear it often.

The Jasmine is the main player but it has a creaminess to it that gives it warmth. It has a touch of spice my base that peeks through. It’s a very sophisticated scent that works for day or night IMO.

It smells luxurious without being stuffy or overdone. Definitely in my top 3 from Tom Ford (my other faves are Tobacco Vanille and Santal Blush)

Irinka. K

I blind-bought it. At first I regretted it but the more I wore it, the more I liked it. Now I LOVE it! When I spray it, I smell jasmin and green tea at first but after about an hour other notes start to come out as well and they're dancing together. And when it dries down I start to smell leather (I have Tuscan Leather, Frickin Fabulous and Bottega Venetta pour Femme which also have leather note in them) neroli and order notes as well, while jasmin takes the back seat. I don't know why people say this perfume is linear and they only smell jasmin because on my skin its an ever changing perfume. I'm glad I bought the 50 ml bottle. I can imagine it as someone's signature scent.

Laziza

I bought it maybe 8-9 years ago and have just a little bit left. It does smell just like the Lust by Lush but so much less aggressive.

Very sexy and inviting, very feminine, definitely an evening smell.

I like to combine it with Vous les vous coucher avec moi by Kilian. But only if I’m ready for my man going absolutely crazy 🔥

astralspacesuit

My all-time favorite scent.

I had a champaca tree in my childhood yard that my dad tended, and every summer I looked forward to smelling the creamy florals whenever I stepped outside. It smells similar to jasmine, but deeper and more indolic. I searched EVERYWHERE for a scent that emulated it, but everything fell short. I saw that Tom Ford had a champaca scent and immediately went to try it out. To my dismay, it smelled nothing like the champaca I knew and loved, and was heavy in all the wrong places.

Disappointed, I picked up the pretty red bottle of Jasmin Rouge next to it and spritzed out of curiosity. My jaw dropped. THIS was the smell I’ve been looking for. It was incredibly creamy and so animalistic and indolic, and everything I was looking for to emulate that nostalgic scent from my childhood home. I never felt so blown away by a perfume.

I spent the next year or so looking for a more affordable jasmine scent that could have a similar effect. Alien by Mugler was far too artificial and nauseated me, Lust by Lush had a waxy middle note that reminded me too much of old lipstick, and while A La Nuit by Serge Lutens was beautiful, its other notes of honey and powdery benzoin diluted the jasmine in the dry down.

Knowing my obsession for Jasmin Rouge, my partner gifted it to me for my birthday. I’ve had it for a few years now, and I’ve only fallen more in love with it. The sillage is atomic: one spritz on my neck and the people downstairs were wondering where the jasmine scent was coming from, before I even left my room. A bit of it rubbed onto my leather jacket’s collar and it smelled like Jasmin Rouge for WEEKS. As it settles down, it becomes sweeter and creamier as the indole takes a backseat. But the white florals are still center-stage until you hop in the shower. It is just everything I was looking for in a scent.

scentine

This is a joke. And the joke's on us. I really feel this is secretly commentary on vanity and gullibility. As in putting 90% of the effort into branding (vs 10% into product development), insisting that it's the epitomy of luxury and telling people a legend about the creation of the product only to sit back and watch people take the bait in the hopes of the product somehow elevating them. If I sound jaded it's only because I've worked in marketing and advertising in connection to 'luxury products'. I know all about the Emperor's New Clothes.

Jasmine Rouge is neither a compliment to jasmine or anything else. It's basic, pungent, linear and ultimately uninspired. If you want to smell of jasmine you could easily do better at a fraction of the cost. There is a reason the most "like it" fragrance on here is Lust by Lush. This is for people that want to say they're wearing Tom Ford and don't really care if they're smelling like a floral bath bomb.

Not to say Tom Ford doesn't have any nice fragrances, there are a few. But this isn't one of them. And especially for the unjustifiable price point. Profoundly meh.

_wynona_

I have heard this being compared to Lush's LUST, but this one is definitely not as cold. Still...
Jasmin Rouge is more of a Jasmin Orange. The ylang ylang, citrus, and spice read more expressive than blushed, passionate, or sultry. Perhaps if the spices were a bit more subdued and the amber note a bit more amplified, it could be Jasmin D'or (Gold). But alas, this can be sharp the way that extremely ripe orange skin can be.

On me, it opens with a jasmine-ylang ylang citrus wall that doesn't lose its density until late into the dry down. The spices make their bold entrance, dancing with the initial notes in an aggressive tango. The tempo slows and this melts into phantom sips of strong Early Grey Masala Chai with a floral cream. The ylang ylang remains, revealing its musky side while supporting the soapy remains of the initial jasmine.

I think this perfume shines in small, subdued doses on pampered skin. It smells better when you catch wisps of it in the background and perhaps becomes a bit sharp when you observe it directly. Perhaps, like a flame, the crimson glow only dances at the periphery. Enjoy the diffuse warmth; burning yourself is just not worth it.

Barbantio4711

Lush lust doesn’t even come close to smelling like this. Lust smells like perfume, Jasmin Rouge is a photographic jasmine

McMuffin

I would love this fragrance if it didn’t smell too much black pepper on my skin.

karinatfragrantica

I love jasmine but this is too dense and "in your face" for me. It does smell slightly cheap in the sense of unrefined. Yes, it is a well-done strong creamy jasmine but definitely not worth the price.
I had this on one arm and Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac&Marigold on the other. Although the TF lasts a bit longer and projects slightly better I prefer the Jo Malone but ultimately they are both not FB worthy for me. I realized that I prefer my Jasmine fresher and airier- like the wonderful Jasmine Kusamono from Armani privé.

mlleghoul

Tom Ford’s Jasmine Rouge is a screechy white floral hairspray worn by a Real Housewife as she’s drunkenly throwing her mimosa in your face right before she pees herself in the middle of the restaurant. Check please!

ajfragrances

Honestly, as much as I love and absolutely adore this fragrance, this smells like most Jasmine fragrances out there. It’s a beautiful fragrance that feels so soothing to me. It’s probably due to jasmine being at the forefront of the fragrance, and though it does smell much more toned down than other jasmine-centered fragrances, it just smells too similar to other jasmine fragrances. But as I said, I do really love this fragrance and if I ever have some extra cash, I’d totally buy this! Lol
*EDIT*
God I can’t stand this anymore! my opinion on this fragrance has turned a total 180…. I hate it so much especially after going back to the Tom Ford counter and smelled this and realized it smells almost exactly like cheap jasmine perfume my father had lying around our house…. Tom ford back at it again with the eye-gouging prices for such cheap smelling perfumes .-.

sembiotic

I totally agree with dilara_95! This perfume reminds me of when I was a young teenager and our family would go to Cyprus to visit my Mum's late sister. We would go for long night walks in the village where crickets would be singing and the magical rays of the moon would illuminate the huge jasmine bushes. The smell that came off the tiny white flowers was lush and intoxicating. This perfume takes me back to that innocent wild time where nothing mattered and life was filled with wonder and awe!...Unforgettable!

Unefragrance

I am crazy about jasmine and own many jasmine perfumes, to me this smells almost identical to Jo Malone Jasmine Sambac & Marigold with the same sillage and lasting power (which is not much lol). It’s just a meh soapy jasmine scent that doesn’t last. Nothing special.

SailorV

Jasmine, jasmine, and more jasmine. It starts out bubblegum sweet and with a natural sharpness, just like standing next to a blooming jasmine shrub at night. Very intense and intoxicating. It turns creamier and sweeter in the drydown, but stays true to a natural, sweet jasmine scent that doesn't feel like a typical "perfumey" jasmine note.
There are some other notes that adorn the blooming flower: A light herbal sage, a little bit of sharp ginger and broom, a dash of spicy-hot cinnamon and cardamom, a smidgen of warm vanilla and amber. But they're all just here to make the jasmine shine even more. This is a soliflore, not a complex, developing blend.
I wonder why it's called Jasmin Rouge. For some reason the color red in the name made me think that this would have intense warm and spicy notes besides the floral, but they're unfortunately rather subtle. I still like this, but it doesn't blow me away, it's a little too sharp for my taste.
If you're looking for a good jasmine centered perfume it's definitely worth a try.

When I first sprayed this on, I thought it would be an everlasting, strongly projecting performer, but surprisingly it never lasted over night when I sprayed it in the evening and sits quite close to the skin after 6 hours today. Which isn't bad, but not the bombastic power I expected when I smelled the opening.

jeanharlow

For me, this is a "meh" but that doesn't mean its not good. My reasoning is that I am CRAZY about Jasmine and therefore very picky about how I like to smell it. I like a TRUE Jasmine; the indolic, creamy, wet kind you smell on the bush that makes you go wild trying to find out where its coming from as you walk past it. This is a clean Jasmine that goes a bit soapy on me and then is met with ylang ylang as an equal partner. Ylang sticks in the back of my throat and gags me a bit so its not my favorite note in perfumes. The leather dry down combined with the soap gives off a musky smell that im not a fan of. This is not my dream jasmine so I continue the search, but if you love clean soapy jasmines this might be ideal for you!

beelikestosmellgood

Got this perfume for myself after testing it and falling in love with it. If I had to describe it the best way would be this:

Aphrodite during the beginning of her affair with Aries, wild independence battling with overwhelming love, only to blend together in the most perfect way. Spiced mulled wine with hints of chamomile tea. That happiness and warmth settling into your skin after a day at the beach. Listening to jazz records while sitting in front of a fireplace in the middle of a blizzard. It's a romantic perfume, and the spicy notes in this give you this perfect blend of strong masculine to compliment the feminine notes in here. I feel like this is a good transition scent for those who want a more mature scent without smelling like a grandma.

sisina96rv

Off topic - Thanks Fragrantica, to feature:
This perfume reminds me of...... & People who like this also like.....
It really striked me now, because I dislike this scent AND dislike the scents showed in "People who like this also like". It helps a person to find/avoid fragrances quicker.

mendalia

And here comes Tom Ford again to collect my paycheck. I think the people with the issue of the fragrance not lasting are purchasing Eau de Jasmin Rouge. That is the one that is out currently and available at Ulta. It is the EDT and not the EDP. This one here is the more expensive EDP and I have no issues getting it to last and it is BEAUTIFUL! I got hooked smelling the EDT but was also disappointed with the lasting power so I sought this one out. Its amazing. Next Tobacco Vanille.

thetunez

Sweet jasmine tea! Very strong on the white floral accord

nahmpunch

Beautiful ! Dark, sexy and feminine !
But like other TF private collection, it lasts 2-3 hours on me.

reasonman

The jasmin and the bergamot together gives this frag a very tea-like, slightly darker jasmin. I dont agree with that it should be particularily feminine, i think it is perfectly unisex and even perhaps, because of the tea-vibes, slightly darker and more masculine leaning than other jasmine scents.

A wonderful scent but longevity is sub par.

hsiangchi.huang

I'd imagine this as the older sister to Armani Prive Rouge Malachite. It's a dark, mature, mysterious jasmine, leaning towards a soapy tuberose with a tad of spices at the opening. Quite linear, but the jasmine is just so sensual here.

Mokingbirdzz

For the first few hours, this smelled like my favourite bottled drink Pokka Jasmine Green Tea (Singapore’s most popular bottled drink). But after it dries down, it vibes like sexy TF/Chanel red lipstick. That's why it lives up to its name Rouge. Rouge for sexy red lips 👄. Jasmine for Jasmine Green Tea. Very good work and night out fragrance. I love it.

blossomka

8/10. I was expecting this to have a similar sweet vanilla-like-hard-to-describe base to White Suede, Velvet Orchid, and Noir, but it is completely different. Very bold but reasonably focussed and pure floral peony, jasmine. Other notes come out and fall to the side: celery seed, cumin. Quite bitter and sour, dill pickle. Pungent. I am afraid to get too close. Very creative twist on a bold floral. The floral aspect is feminine but the other parts make it unisex.

Edit: I would probably purchase this if I did not already have Frederic Malle Carnal Flower which is along the same lines.
Edit 2: Went from tiger to tame pussycat after about one hour: much easier to wear.

dilara_95

Memorable perfume.
I am very emotionally attached to jasmine and this perfume gives me such a realistic vibe.
It's one of those perfumes that are easily associated with memories. -
Just beautiful. - 🐘❣️

s.pellegrino

I like this: it's basically straight up creamy jasmine, I don't get much of the other notes. It's pretty, leaning just more towards warm than cold, giving it the tiniest touch of sensuality.

Having said that, there are other jasmines of this kind that I enjoy wearing more: this one says very little, in my opinion. Olene by Diptyque brings out more of the dewy spring-side of the jasmine that is present here; Jasmin Antique by Rogue has some more indoles, making it more sensual and "rouge"; Savage Jasmine by Sana Jardin smells quite close but has more body and presence than Jasmin Rouge.

All in all this is not a bad scent: I'll enjoy wearing my 10 ml decant every now and then. But especially on days when I want to wear jasmine for myself only, and when I don't want to smell too intense.

Lilia Marie Benoit

A touch of sensuality, a hint of passion, walking unapologetically and embracing valiance... all locked into a beautiful lacquered red bottle. It transports me into a garden of love; infused with jasmine, spices and leather. Think of a woman truly comfortable in her own skin, not afraid to exude her femininity... but also a man who is strong and masculine enough to be bold in floral. This is a subtle yet provocative scent that achieves any desire.

Yasss123

Every time I wear this people stopping me and asking what I Sm wearing. Its the sexiest Jasmin I have ever smelt

Fragaddict123

When I smell this and look at the notes breakdown I get confused
All i smell is a really good quality jasmine nothing more
Though it smells pleasant I can’t see myself wearing it
It lingers for 30 min to an hour then it sticks close to the skin for 2 to 3 hours

odbeglisin

I guess Ylang Ylang Rouge would have made for a duller name, but it would be much more accurate.

dlopeztt

Can men wear this???

KylieBooFace

I tried this on a paper strip (along with Soleil Neige). This smelled like a nice white floral, yet not sweet. I would need to try this on the skin to really know how it plays out. Soleil Neige is sweeter, though I'm not sure how it would play with skin chemistry.

mellyv1973

This is currently my favorite jasmine fragrance. It's a realistic, spicy jasmine with a bit of sweetness. Unfortunately, the lasting power is weak and it sits very close to my skin, but the smell is beautiful! I could wear this all day, every day.

renonagasan

A very, very jasmine perfume. And almost realistically so. I honestly thought this would be a bit darker given the name “rouge” and the presence of amber, leather, and woodsy notes. Perhaps it’s the overpowering nature of the jasmine and neroli. The impression I had from the opening was jasmine and a touch of creaminess from the vanilla but it’s barely there. The bergamot gave it a pinch of green-ess quality to it, giving you that picking a fresh jasmine from its bush. The leather is almost nowhere to be found here. You kind of pick it up as it dries down — the woods, amber, and leather combined gives this perfume some dry almost tart quality to it as it dries down with a bit of warmth that’s almost unnoticeable. The jasmine and neroli shines through and through, start to finish. This perfume honestly shines better in warmer weather. The heat lifts the sillage more. Unlike the experience that others had with this perfume, it performed better on me. On skin, it lasted about 5-6 hours but lasted 8-10hrs on my shirt. Projection is about arms length if not a little more for a few hours while giving a good moderate sillage while at it. Overall, I quite enjoyed this fragrance although I’m a guy. I think guys can perfectly wear this, this is a perfect summer / spring perfume if you’re a guy looking for an alternative fresh perfume that’s going to stand out from the usual fresh spring / summer perfumes in the market. Indeed, this is a jasmine fragrance but this is very beautiful and not heady at all.

DahliaFragrance

A beautiful fragrance, very clean, elegant and refined. To my nose it’s a very realistic, green, yet non-threatening jasmine on top with a dark cacao note on the bottom. The jasmine and cacao are the most distinct notes, I don’t get spices or orange AT ALL like it’s listed. This can be worn in any season at anytime of the day, with both casual and formal clothing as it is both classy and simple. For that reason I would say this is signature scent worthy. Even though the sole jasmine note rings the most prominent, it certainly won’t offend any white floral haters out there as it is more subtle and quietly seductive than indolic or heady. On the skin, the cacao can turn to an ambery, dark honey after like 7 hrs. While it’s more of a dark feminine fragrance, a man can still pull it off as the green notes and cacao can go more unisex. The name rouge is very fitting as I can totally picture this fragrance paired with a dark red dress and a formal evening out with a glass of red wine. Its definitely appropriate for ages 16 and up as a signature scent. Very simple, yet sophisticated.

fawneyed_sita

This should be named "ylang ylang rogue" or something to the effect because of the dominating sweetness of yellow floral ylang ylang! If you love ylang-ylang this could be a great pick for you because the composition is good and the power and sillage are excellent for a white/yellow floral. I get ylang ylang mixed with jasmine at the center of this composition. It is full bodied and sweet but not quite indolic (thank god!) and somehow bright at the same time, very well blended. I asked my fiancé if this smelled like poop and he said definitely not, but that it smelled expensive and good (and he knows nothing about perfume brands!). I also get the beautiful amber at the heart of this fragrance and some non-descript spices (touch of cinnamon? the ginger/pepper are not even detectable as notes).

This is a beautiful fragrance but personally for the price, I am not so crazy about ylang-ylang and would rather get a more pure rendition of jasmine like Van Cleef and Arpel's California Reverie because of the memories I attach to jasmine. This one is a "night out" jasmine where as the Van Cleef is a cozy jasmine for home or even a wedding!

theres notes listed that would turn people off so i’ll start there. i dont smell pepper or leather. people say they smell tea, i dont smell tea. this is a skin scent. safe blind buy if u like warm sweet vanilla florals that aren’t overpowering. its a light scent. not heavy. i like it, beautiful scent but wish it was longer lasting. almost right after u spray it, it fades away. i’d have to keep reappplying. lots of youtube reviewers described it as dark & sexy so i expected it to be heavy in a good way but the smell isnt heavy at all. also something about the scent smells slightly like a sweet red wine.

Ferra_Verto

Sophisticated woman - very rich, almost indolic jasmine that is somehow both amplified and restrained by the ylang-ylang, neroli, and the sage. Sultry and alluring, yet keenly proper. This scent is an olfactory delight, infinitely more complex than she is often given credit for. I really want a series of flankers that compliment this scent, a woman-centered series.

danygurl06

My first thought is that this is a pretty Jasmine. The Jasmine portion is very much like Jasmine green tea smell. The supporting notes of spices, ylang ylang and Amber make this smell very similar to Rouge Malachite. I never smelled Alien Fusion. So I can’t compare.

The tuberose in Rouge Malachite smells like fruit in it has started to go bad and sour to my nose. Jasmine Rouge smells like they took out the sickly tuberose and replaced it with jasmine. I know Jasmine Rouge came first but I smelled them in the opposite order.

It’s a nice smell and I’d wear it. I’m just NOT wowed by it.

Hsnezz

I first smelled this one on my mother but have since noticed this subtle fragrance in other settings too.

I totally agree with @Carpe Noctem, this is intoxicating and sensual to the furthest extreme. The jasmine and neroli with intermittent pops or ylang ylang transitions beautifully into a woody dry down of what to my nose smells like sandalwood.

Yes this i feminine, but i dont care. ill wear this all day long as it transports me to a mindset rich with feelings of love. I will say though that i do like it more on other women (rather than myself) but tis is something ijust cant get enough of.

LoveThySmell

So many notes... yet all I can smell is sambac jasmine and oh yes green tea, which has been over brewed! The first spritz itself is strong enough to blow your socks off. Even after hours all I can smell is jasmine and tea (over brewed). Plus longevity is really poor on my skin.
So basically when I wear this, I smell like I have applied a jasmine body oil and then spilled green tea (over brewed) all over me.
Where I live, you smell jasmine everywhere and in much better versions.
I can understand the perfume pleasing the olfactory senses of a lot of people (especially where jasmine is exotic) but is definitely not my cup of over brewed tea!

RainbowSalt

This is my top 3. While they’re many other luxury and fancy perfumes out there . This is one that I rarely get tired of . I’m always changing perfume all the time and I always get back to this . This is here to stay . The rest are like some hot dates but this is like a lifelong partner .

Carpe Noctem

I think this is very intoxicating and narcotic. Love from the first spray. I only wish it lasted longer than a few hours for this price.

I'm glad the ylang ylang is not too strong in this one. It is just enough in the background for me. The jasmine is not full-on indolic like a lot of jasmine perfumes. Neither is it candied, as in Mugler's Alien Fusion (which I also have and love).

At first it reminded me of sun block and I was kind of leery of it, but it didn't stay long. I also got a mellow tuberose note that reminded me of bubblegum. This is not a screechy cheap smelling perfume. Very classy, and this is a big love for me.

hfiebert

I'll start by saying that I am a guy and I think this is an amazing scent.

This is the smell of Spring. Green and floral. I can definitely see this leaning feminine but I don't care. Nothing wrong with smelling like a Spring day.

brumbarche

This is a bright jasmine with honeyed and green aspects - closer to Gucci Bloom than to Alien (treble vs base; soprano vs alt).
I think of it as a more powdery/dry Gucci Bloom - similar greenness, but Bloom is "wetter".
Alien, for example, as a jasmine scent is more ambery, more lush, deeper, a bit more mature and sensual.
I find Jasmin Rouge to be more versatile and the easiest to wear. But when I run out, I won't repurchase, I will finish whatever of Gucci Bloom I have left (as cheaper alternative).

Kitty9

This is a India Jasmine Queen anyone a big jasmin fan you will never regret it.
I never thought tomford can do anything like this what a Signature queen Fragrance.

hollymichaelm

This really is a lovely fragrance, it really does smell like Jasmine tea, but sexier. It has a greenness to it also, which takes away from the oriental vibe. It’s gorgeous, feminine but in a bitchy way (jasmine is a bad b note to me). Gorgeous.

mblair206

Nice, but not my style. Sophisticated, well blended, I get jasmine, spices, leather... Relatively soft compared to other TF private collection scents. It does not stand out as much as I would have liked.

Nicronomicon

This is such a beautiful fragrance, and I've kept it for a couple of years in the hope that at some point when I wear it, it will not make my nose crinkle. It is well-formulated. The notes are clearly exotic. The fragrance is obviously expensive. I love the bottle. Unfortunately, none of these reasons make it smell lovely on me. I can't tell if strong notes of jasmine do not work with my chemistry, or if it is just too overwhelming to my senses. It is heady, divine, mysterious, exotic...but on me, something does not work. Another perfume that is being gifted to the bestie.

Advaitaforever

Femme fatale! It is what it says on the bottle,
Plentiful Jasmine with a beautiful frame of soothing and complementary florals. It isn’t quite as indholic as I had expected. The fragrance is dark and indulgent but it has a bright freshness. If you are a jasmine lover then this is probably the best celebration of the note that I have sampled. She is a vixen and must be paired with red lipstick.

Heles

Purchased a decant of this along with Carnal Flower, and this is definitely my preferred fragrance of the two.

I see alot of people describing this as a sensual heavy fragrance, but I find myself disagreeing.

While the nature of jasmine itself is as a heavy and intoxicating flower, the jasmine in Jasmin Rouge is on the clean and classy side in my opinion.

The spices and citrus notes sit on equal playing field with the jasmine, creating a balance that prevents the jasmine from veering too far into the dark and heady side (along the lines of Lush Lust)

The imagery it brings to my mind is of a elegant and austere businesswoman, who is quiet yet commanding

While I definitely like the fragrance, I'm unsure if I will be purchasing a full size in the future since I don't absolutely love it and therefore can't justify the price. I'll give it a few more tries and reassess

lilymorena

Outside is about 20 degrees but I am in the mood for a strong scent. I looked to that cute dark red bottle and I entered in the heavy sexy sweet amber jasmine world. One of the best jasmine scents outhere with its creamy ylang and spices. I love this night winter fragance. It is not for inside or for office. A must try for jasmine lovers.

Salalome

Anyone who says this dosen't smell like jasmin has never smeled actual jasmin. It never has a 'fresh' smell. Jasmin is actualy very heady and a heavy scented flower. And it gets more indolic the longer it is in bloom. So JR is actualy very realistic and along with lush lust and california reverie one of the most fotorealistic jasmins I had the chance to smell.
I love kt but I totaly get why its not for everyone.
I prever this a lot to lush lust cuz lush lust just reminds me too much of their bathbombs. Unfortunatly I can't realy afford a Tom Ford scent. Kind of wish I never knew how awsome it is.

MissyJ

I really wanted to love this. Smells like dated Jasmine. Not the fresh flower kind. Such a shame.

Supermonipower

This has to be the best Jasmin fragrance I have ever smelled!
Absolutely phenomenal. My favorite fragrance out of the whole Tom Ford collection!
This describes exactly my taste: Jasmin, Ylang Ylang and amber. My 3 most favorite notes in perfume.

Very powerful sillage and longevity.

A must have for the Jasmin lovers

Gossie

Pure, creamy and powdery jasmine not complicated. If you are jasmine lover you will definitely like this. Also easy to go well with other fragrances especially floral ones. It lasts around 4 hours on my skin.

Saf,kremsi ve pudrali bir yasemin, biraz duz karmasik degil. Eger yasemin seviyorsaniz bunu da kesin seversiniz diye dusunuyorum. Ayrica diger parfumlerle karistirmayi deneyin ozellikle ciceksi parfumlerle yakisiyor. Benim tenimde yaklasik 4 saat kaliyor.

poka123

heady lush Jasmine Bomb!!! very slightly spicy but to me has some what of a very slight freshness similar to neroli portifino which is weird comparison but rings true to me. It doesn't last uber long on my skin and projection isn't great having said that this is blended to absolute perfection. Would classify this as smelling like a soliflore.

Coquita

This should actually be called jasmin amarige :)
I've tried this 2 times. Both times the lasting power and sillage were excellent, but the scent was quite different.
The first time, I tried it on a warm spring day last year. It smelled beautifully, like jasmin tea, but it was very linear. I fell in love with it, as it was so delicate and feminine. I really wanted it back then but its such an expensive treat, so I promised myself that, if i had the chance to splurge, I'd do it.
The second time was today: this time, the fragrance is dominated mainly by ylang, which I don't particularly like, but here, it gives a tropical feel very similar to Carnal Flower. The jasmin is only on the background now, and is a lot more fleshy and green.
I don't know what makes such a huge difference, if its the weather, the batch or my menstrual cicle... But, given my two experiences, I think its better to try this fragrance a couple of times before buying it, to make sure I'll get what I'm looking for ;)

Great jasmine, weak performance. A very versatile scent but India has ton load of more authentic smelling jasmine attars.

Not worth the private blend price tag but deserves a place in the private blend if that makes sense.

Rosemary14

I love, love, love TF fragrances. I love this one as well, but I’m a bit surprised that it has as many notes as it does. I get a lot of Jasmine but I don’t get all the crazy spice that promises to capture my attention. If you love this fragrance but don’t want the price tag and you love spicy jasmine then you might try Lust by Lush. It has amazing jasmine and the ylang and a sandalwood that is kind of rough and incense like and sort of smells like it has cinnamon, but it doesn’t. It also just punches you out with projection. It’s like this perfume’s bigger, louder sister. I love it.

17seyed

One for the powdery Jasmine lovers. The opening is a burst of jasmine combined with citrus and spices.

I believe the Ylang Ylang deserves much more credit than it's getting because it's single handedly giving this fragrance an additional dimension of yellow floral powderyness, especially in the heart.

In fact, I would go as far as saying that the heart of this fragrance isn't about jasmine at all. It's about a very powdery ylang ylang with some lingering spices from the top. It can be quite thick and overwhelming at times so be cautious of over spraying it.

The dry down is slightly creamier, less powdery, and cleaner than the heart. The main notes at that stage are once again jasmine, along with musk, neroli which gives it that clean feeling, and maybe just a small hint of labdanum.

Overall, I think this fragrance is unique enough to stand on it's own feet and can easily be owned along with any other jasmine fragrance without feeling redundant.

Also, how can anyone ignore that gorgeous ruby colored bottle ? Seriously Tom Ford we need more of this bottle design and less of that derivative black bottles you have for 95% of your private blend.

M.Golightly

I love this but on my skin it does not last long but turns too quickly into a skin scent. I wish there was MORE which is why I turn into Alien Fushion and Ritual Fuyu D'or instead which has the same cord.

Vanian

This fragrance is like a chameleon on my skin. Stage first is all about jasmine. Stage second is all about ylang-ylang. Super long lasting.

watchaka

Once this dries down on my skin, it has the same base as the dry-down of Lost Cherry. Try JRouge on your arm and LCherry on the other. They don't smell alike in the beginning, but right now I have J R on , and it dried down to Lost Cherry. I guess I don't need to pay the big bucks for that Cherry, so it's not Lost.

DrRosie

I have had the 3.4oz bottle of this juice for a while. I barely made a dent on it although I reach for it at least once a month. I was traveling last week. I used it with the body lotion. This older gentleman walked up to me and said :It is a crime to smell this awesome, I should report you to TSA". I am not a morning person, I laughed so hard to a point people were looking and wondering why is this crazy chick laughing. I told him what I was wearing, he asked me if I could order it for his wife. I walked to the terminal, pulled my laptop and ordered the fragrance for his wife. A week later his wife called me to tell he that she had never smell anything as delicious as this fragrance is. The husband said he had a good night with her (no need to elaborate, we know what he meant) The moral of the story is, our perfumes can make people approach us and we can make friends when we least expect it.

sara lii

I tried it today, straight from bottle it smelled amazing but on my wrist I could just smell the ylang ylang with a hint of jasmin and cinnamon. It has been a few hours, I've showered and I can still smell the ylang ylang. Left a very tropical vibe on my skin so I ended up buying TF noir pour femme instead...

oceanic

Great cool scent. Intimate, cooling, clean, sharp but soft. Very good scent. Just lacks the complexity given the price. But not a detraction, as some prefer that.

Does remind me of some of the middle eastern perfumes as they use jasmine a lot and it has the same feel, when they go for a cold scent. Usually middle eastern shops go for warm. scents.

psycobata

Dear Tom, while your making all these new fragrances. How about you give us jasmine rouge intense.

SaeedTayebi

So sexy!
It's absolutely comparable to the head of Tom Fords " Tucson Leather"
The complexity of the fragrance is such a weirdo
As the Name implies the main ingredient is Jasmin
But it should be noticed that it doesn't reveal itself simply at all
After spraying the Perfume you have to search through variety of possibilities in order to reach the essence
As I've mentioned it's sooo sexy esp if the partner is a little bit stimulated.
I think the only problem is the price!
If you can afford it don't be skeptical
Just buy it!

After having shown TF the cold shoulder kind of, I have to say you should never say never ;)
In the past few years I have tried several of the more famous TF scents, like 'Noir de Noir', 'Tuscan Leather' and the like and always found them way too much in your face, overwhelming if not even annoying, and one of my personal nightmare scents remains 'Black Orchid' which just smells awful to me.

Not really willing to try more TF scents I recently came across two of the private blends, one being 'Jasmin Rouge' and the other 'Jonquille de Nuit'
And what can I say, I love them both to my own surprise.

'Jasmin Rouge' perfectly captures the scent of real jasmine phoenix green tea pearls. I have never smelt any perfume capturing this scent even remotely.
For a TF scent it is a wonderfully soft and gentle scent, very subtle, which I personally prefer to very strong and dominant scents.
The Jasmine tea notes linger on for hours but after a while a very subtle spiciness sets in and brings out the jasmine scent even more. After about 2-3 hours a also very gentle amber/vanilla sweetness sets in, just in the very background, and together with only a mist of very light woody notes, the scent seems very round and complete.

I immediately fell in love with this and very reguarly wear it, no matter if for an evening out or on colder days for busniness meetings, it always seems very subtle, feminine and exquisite.

There are two types of reaction to jasmine soliflores: first, there are people who say ‘oh yesss, bring it on!’ while the other group runs screaming to open the windows... Then again, not all jasmine fragrances provoke such extreme reactions, because even among them one can discern several types: (1) strong, dirty, indolic jasmine, e.g. Lush Lust, Carthusia Gelsomini di Capri or Nasomatto Nuda, (2) soft, sweetish and pleasant jasmine, e.g. the sadly discontinued Guerlain Jasminora, The Body Shop Indian Night Jasmine or Yves Rocher Tender Jasmin, (3) the unclassifiable cold, aloof, alien jasmine, as in Bvlgari Jasmin Noir or - Mugler Alien. Now, Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge belongs to the second, inoffensive category; it is very pretty and feminine. Aside from jasmine, the only notes that I can detect are lemon/bergamot in the beginning and a tiny bit of leather and vanilla in the drydown. It doesn’t have monster sillage, but it’s very long lasting (8+ hours easily). The only thing to dislike about this fragrance is its obnoxious price: 240€ for a 50ml bottle. Honestly I have no idea why someone would wanna pay that much money for a jasmin fragrance, when there are some excellent and much cheaper alternatives out there, such as the aforementioned Jasminora (if you can get hold of it), or Tender Jasmin (which is widely available and very reasonably priced). If I ever get rich and famous (or just rich lol), I might treat myself and buy this frag; but it is much more likely that it’ll be discontinued long before I make my first million.

ms.ttran64

This smells like jasmine tea, all the way through. No other notes come through. That’s not a terrible thing but I like my scents to be a blend of essences, a harmonious choir rather than a screaming soloist.

Fragrance - Jasmin Rouge Tom Ford
Bottle from - 2017

Jasmin Rouge opens on my skin with a sunny, bright, happy and a bit spicy bouquet of flowers with dominant jasmine and ylang-ylang and with the tender trace of slightly bitter bergamot.
During mid development, spices becomes stronger with dominant cinnamon but the main players are still jasmine and ylang-ylang.
This all leads into a woody, ambery, spicy, moderatly sweet and slightly floral base with dominant vanilla.
This fragrance reminds me a bit of a charming and romantic woman.

I’ve mostly tested super indolic, meddled-with jasmine in perfumery (I.e. Alien). Jasmine isn’t exactly my favorite flower so even when jasmine was natural smelling to my nose (I.e. AdP Jasmine), it never intrigued me enough to buy a bottle for myself. I was at the TF counter the other day looking for a darker, sensual perfume than what I usually wear, and I finally tried Jasmin Rouge. On the test strip, I got pure jasmine from jasmine tea! But it was not “rouge”. Lucky for me, it turned rouge when I tested it on my skin. I was almost hoping in a weird way that it would be a simple one dimensional scent (I don’t need another floral scent), but to my nose it’s spicy, warm jasmine that’s interesting enough for me to shell out the $$. I can see this working for both day and night. This makes me feel feminine and powerful at the same time. It’s not your grandma’s jasmine, but it’s jasmine for the modern woman, with a bold lip. Super sensual. Will be getting a FB ASAP and will save it for date nights. I finally get the hype in Jasmine flower now.

i am joan

It took me years to finally buy this - because of the price tag. But when I did I was so in love with it, I wanted to smell like this the whole time, and bathe in this heavenly jasmine!

JR is jasmine. Pure, strong, take-it-or-leave-it jasmine. I was actually shocked at how much other stuff is packed in the formula, I honestly did not expect it. On second thought, there is something very faintly woody and spicy about it, but still - JASMINE. To me it's the perfect jasmine, and I almost would not want to look for any new one.

But this perfume has a BIG catch. It just does not last, and projection is not even at arms length. For people around me to pick it up I have to pour it all over myself or spray it in their presence. And how I wish others could smell this hypnotizing jasmine off me, what's the point of being the only spectator to such beauty? I do get now why TF launched JR also in a 250 ml bottle - you need to spray this every hour for it to linger.

Because of the staying power close to none, I keep looking for something else. But this will always be a love of mine.

Punkrockbebop

Strong, warmed-up in-your-face Ylang and Tuberose, the power of which is boosted by spices, cinnamon, cardamom, amber, vanilla on a woody base. It’s almost edible, it’s so creamy with so much deliciousness in those top and bottom notes. I’m not sure it it’s for me, but I am sure of this; the guys will want to follow you home.

Sillage is strong, longevity is excellent.

Montelin

I bought a 5 ml decant, and tried it, after reading others reviews. Many said that they could not detect the spices listed as top notes, and so I performed an experiment. I tried Jasmin Rouge, and did get a spicy 'red' vibe from it. Then, at the end of the day, I thoroughly washed it away, and tried another classical jasmin/bergamot scent, 'La Vie Est Belle Bouquet de Printemps'. The jasmine in the LVEBBP was summery and cool, while the Jasmin Rouge was definitely warmed by the spice components, even if they could not be picked out individually (by me at least). This will be my 'Go-To' winter jasmine scent, while Bouquet de Printemps or CK Beauty will be cool weather favorites.

Silkselkie

Very occasionally the Tom Ford hype train is to be believed. When it comes to Jasmin Rouge, this is one of those times.

If you don't like naturalistic, heady jasmine, this isn't for you. Run screaming. If you are obsessed with narcotic, naturalistic, intoxicating jasmine, you are in for a most delightful treat. Alien who??

I'm a bit confounded by the expansive note pyramid, because aside from a few murmuring whispers of the cinnamon and clary sage (honestly a stroke of genius here and not something I expected to bolster the starring flower), I detect only the purest sunny jasmine. And what a trail, what an aura she leaves. I've been looking for the kind of jasmine that wafts over the hot concrete sidewalks in summertime heat miles before you even catch a glimpse of the flowers. I've been looking for the jasmine I smelled poolside in an illicit night rendezvous - shapes in the shadows, suggestion, flirtation, surrender - and then I saw it, sprawling organically, hugely over the back wall, a massive jasmine overgrowth - inviting and lush and heated and utterly forbidden to me, much like everything else that ruled that encounter.

It's beginning to edge out Salome in terms of my signature. Alternating between both seems to be key. If it's not utterly, riotously sensuous, I want no part of it.

Sillage is epic and gorgeous and sinuous. Use sparingly, or your whole life will be redolent with Jasmin Rouge (which is perfectly fine by me, but for others? Courtesy should be exercised.)

A soliflore of my dreams. Blindingly beautiful. Intoxicating as hell. What on earth are you waiting for? Whether worn by day or night, for all my life, I'll be desperately, hopelessly in love.

11PHOSPHORUS11

Tom Ford has made a mistake!!!
Surrounded by “yes people” and over fertile he spent an extortious amount of money producing so many insignificant and overpriced scents that I think we’ll see them being discontinued rather soon.
All this just because he can.
This fragrance for example, a heavy and sweet gave me a headache, doesn’t really go anywhere and fills the room with tiring fumes.
Maybe if you’d walk through the cloud of it it would be bearable but that’s jus a waste of money.
Just this fact - I’m now trying to give an idea on how not to use it explains it all.
Other perfumes from Ford are either too basic or have no longevity (sometimes both).
I can’t think of one parfum from Ford that would amaze me, but he has some good stuff I would rate 6 or 7/10.
Make sure you’ll take a sample with you and try it for a day, maybe two before parting with these money.
Both - bottle and the name are pretty though. I apologise to those who love it, we are all different, but I really think Ford puts much more attention to the packaging than the actual scents.
This scent is a shocking 5/10 for £140

fashionluver16

This perfume smells absolutely divine!

It gently oozes sexiness with a soft and sophisticated jasmine scent. There is a touch of ylang-ylang and some other notes, but I'm no perfume expert, so I can't really distinguish them. One thing for sure is that it is jasmine dominant but in a very pleasant way. The intensity of jasmine is just right, not overpowering at all. You can feel other notes as well, but I only detected their presence, so I guess they all sort of support the jasmine note to stand out. This baby has been on top of my wishlist ever since I smelled it. If you have money to get this right away and if you are a big jasmine enthusiast like me, then don't even think twice and get it outright. It's the best gift you can give to yourself.

meliecat

Perfect blend of Jasmine and ylang-ylang! On opening I get something fruity like tangerine also and later a bit of woody-spicy notes, but all in all this is jasmine and ylang-ylang. Any jasmine lover will be delighted to smell this!

Venusia

Beautiful, but I mainly smell powdery tuberose... I tried the whole day to realize of what it reminds me of: Fracas in drydown or Do Son, in like 90%!!! Other notes aren't even to guess. Jasmine? not really. Tamer than Fracas, but still nice enough. I don't think the high price explains the perfume, but the brand

mutintabailey

Beautiful beautiful beautiful!!, reminds me of Gucci bloom, just more classy!
This is a Jasmin lovers dream! I brought this with ombre leather, layer this and you are feeling sex hot!
The advert for this with the women with the bright red lipstick is excellent!

I feel sexy wearing this! and it's so beautiful!
I spent over £200 today with Tom Ford, but I realise that just you get what you pay for!.
I'd rather buy quality perfume and enjoy my spray rather than a nice looking bottle with a lack of quality in the spray and perfume.
Tomford is truly a master in clothing and in perfumery.
There shall be a day where I'll buy all of the collection!

Swedelish

A jasmine buttered up by ylang ylang with a soft whisper of prickly hot spices and warm amber and woods . It's like the jasmine note is wrapped in a lush blanket of ylang ylang. The spices don't bite, but rather gently nibble at your nose. Warm amber and woods keep jasmine toned down to the perfect volume. It's got a lot of notes apparently, all of which combine to bring focus to the main point of jasmine rather than each seperate part. It is sweet in a floral-ambery way, tempered by neutral elements. Jasmin Rouge is the best jasmine centered fragrance I've ever smelled. Perfect and balanced. Everything I want and more.

happy-knight

It's a good Jasmine perfume if you really like that as a big part of your scents you'll probably enjoy this.

Soofiya

It was a blindbuy and while I find it a gorgeous jasmine perfume,I'm a bit underwhelmed
It has a huge pyramid with numerous intersting notes but they don't showup, not even a tiny bit of them.it's all about a very natural jasmine, tuberose(though not listed) and a hint of ylang ylang on my skin.that's it.no spices,no amber,no leather
It's pleasant when I first spray it but in two minutes it develops to a heady floral scent with an offputting, buttery undertone which lasts for an hour.I don't know what ruins it for me in this stage,I can't even describe it(maybe I can call it rotten buttery florals?!maybe too much indoles are bothering me?! ) but as it dries down I can again enjoy this gorgeous jasmine-tuberose bouquet which is lush, smooth and creamy in this phase with a touch of banana-ish undertone and some floral sweetness.it remains like this for +9 hours
I'd give it a love mark if there was not that one hour of strange undertone and if it was a bit complex/more interesting, for now it's a like for me.I really enjoy it's heavenly gorgeous opening and drydown but I believe one can find other pure jasmine scents with a fraction of price

peppermoon

Jasmin Rouge is a full bodied white floral - a dominant jasmine, supported by ylang ylang, musk, and cinnamon. It's rich and indolic but not overly so, with the slight banana tones and rubbery aspects of certain white florals. This scent is a very strong projector and a good floral for night time or winter. But honestly if we're talking about spiced soliflores from Tom Ford, I prefer Shanghai Lily. It's more mellow and sweeter than the somewhat bossy jasmine note here, and something in Jasmine Rouge's musk note tickles my nose.

akawanis

Ahh, Jasmin Rouge..

On first spritz, it'll not only knock your socks off, it pretty near blows everything away. It's "throw your clothes off and dance around the house naked" level of Deliriously Happy. This is the *best* Tuberose-Jasmine blend of all time.

Due to the price point, I spent close to a year testing every conceivable jasmine and tuberose, hoping to find a near dupe. On the economical end, Michael Kors' "Michael", or Michael Kors' "Michael Kors", layered with Guerlain's Terracotta, comes close. On the upper range, Xinú's OroNardo is a dead ringer. OroNardo is equivalently priced to TFJR, and fails as a substitute. (Bonus points for gorgeous bottle design though).

Aside from the tuberose omission, the user pyramid vote order appears right. TFJR leads with Jasmine & ylang, with a good dose of friendly spices beneath. Labdanum, leather, amber, and vanilla are well blended enough, that none steal the spotlight.

During said year of saving, across 2 birthdays and a Christmas, I've finally accumulated enough L u c k y s c e n t gift certs to make a purchase! It's time to take the Unicorn out for a spin.

Ainoko NZ

It's a cold miserable day and winter's moving in fast. This perfume is such a lovely pick-me-up. The rich smoothness of jasmine and the warm spicy/musky notes remind me of better days to come! I'm glad I don't need much of it because the price is horrendous! :( Happiness comes at a price I guess.

Septembre

Not unsurprisingly, this smells like straight jasmine. I happen to love jasmine and most white florals, and so I do like this. It is pretty, elegant, wearable, but as others have said, it isn't anything special. This being from TF, I expected it to really sing, but it merely did it's job. I didn't get particularly great sillage or longevity out of this. The sillage doesn't bother me, as jasmine with heavy projection can quickly become overpowering. I do wish the longevity performed better, though. After a couple of hours I had to really dig my nose into my arm to smell it.

The price seems outrageous, though. I'll stick to Demeter for my Jasmine fix. Does it perform as well as TFJR? No, but it's also 1/10th of the price and performs fine for the price.

... killing me softly with Jasmin Rouge ...

This fragrance is like a pulsing animality that could tear your emotions apart.
It´s like a crimson heart beating wildly under the pale skin.
It´s a drama - but nothing in the Beau Monde style.
It´s more like a provocative look and the sentence:"Can we burn something, babe?"
Let´s be clear - this is a monodrama.
The only one performer is jasmine - buttery jasmine, opulent jasmine, arrogant jasmine, intoxicating jasmine, impudent jasmine, honey-sweet jasmine & then again jasmine with all its facets /and a dirty trace of cardamom and cinnamon in addition, so submissive, so insignificant/.
And that´s all, folks.
I feel like I am drowning in this scent - and I can´t get enough.

Just bought this frag and wearing it for the second time today. Very clean Jasmin scent. I only get Jasmin. Very potent. Do not use more than two sprays or people around you won’t be too happy . Six hours after the spray - dry down is calm, becomes some kind of a body scent that I have trouble identifying but reminds me of some retro fragrance. Still can smell Jasmin in it though. I do like the trail it leaves and do quite enjoy this scent. I’m not good with notes and such so I’m going to leave it here: nice Jasmin scent. Very simple but pleasant. I don’t think this is a crowd pleaser but I like it
P.S. if you are familiar with Jasmin tea - that’s the exact smell of the Jasmin rouge

Bubbly Fizz

This is such a beautiful and sophisticated scent. It reminds me of that violet orchid you see in Asia in particular Thailand. I love it! Worth every penny!

intense white floral scent, very heady and thick blooming. must be used sparingly because it can take over a room and person very, very quickly. depending on what atmosphere or vibe you're trying to create, this can either be a wonderful thing or a really horrid thing.

i don't particularly like white floral scents, jasmine tends to go fecal and sour on my skin. this is the only realistic jasmine scent that doesn't turn scary on my skin. it does develop into something slightly dirty over time, but it doesn't progress into gross territory.

all i smell from this is jasmine. simple, pure jasmine. comes on strong and oily, overpowering. dries down into a powdery, soft jasmine with a slightly dirty vibe and a touch of sweetness (definitely the amber helping with that).

i enjoy it but i won't be wearing this often, therefore I have a 50ml bottle up for swap. no box. message me if interested.

I've been sampling Tom Ford this year. I got several samples from Luckyscent in Dec. I have discovered that so far, all of the Tom Ford scents have a very very short staying power on my skin. I get around 2 hours at the most. All have been very close to my skin, and I have to try very hard to smell them. I've had absolutely no comments whenever I wear them. Not that it's all that important to get a compliment on perfume, but it does tell me if it is compatible to my chemistry. This particular fragrance is nothing at all remarkable. It has a nice long list of ingredients, but on my skin all I get is jasmin, a watery jasmin. Rather disappointing. I don't mean to sound so negative, but I am just reviewing how this perfume performs on my skin. It is worth the money to buy samples, and I do enjoy trying out these Tom Ford frags. But to spend the obscene amount of money that he gets for his full size bottles I must say, use caution.

I continue the search to find a jasmine without the powdery soapy sweetness. This reminds me of the Jasmin Diptyque candle, which reads very mature (old lady) and without development or nuance. Where is the ‘rouge’ in this? By the looks of the notes and the bottle, there should be more noticeable wood, leather, and musk coming through to lend some darkness into the atmosphere, but none of that is appearing on my skin. I just want the aromatics of an authentic Chinese jasmine tea (hold off on the powderiness, PLEASE) with distinguishable spices and musks underneath, which I thought would be delivered by this seductive lacquered bottle. I guess white florals are just not for me (I’ve despised every tuberose but was still holding out hopes for jasmine) - I feel like I should be knitting by the fire rather than dancing onstage at the Moulin Rouge when I wear this. I guess we all define seduction differently, cos this is pretty much the most chaste smelling private blend I own.

raiza1990

It is a nice fragrance. A moderately spicy, very creamy jasmine. A very well done modern interpretation of the spicy floral trend of the 80's and 90's.
It projects well, smells mature. Worth trying if you like, warm and spicy florals.

Ashleighgreen

Unapologetically jasmin through and through. Sumptuous, creamy, heady jasmine. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

If you love whitefloral (jasmine and tuberose specially) and woody scents this is for you.

It is the BEST whitefloral I ever wore. So refreshing and light yet so deep. So festive like a carnival of flowers yet not begging for attention. so open and welcoming yet not too revealing.
That's why this could work for day or night, through all seasons.

I LOVE IT.

It keeps the floral character all through. Does not turn too woody.

darlingnadine

Very straightforward jasmine. I'm surprised by the amount of notes because it's all I smell. If you like jasmine, as I do, you will like this but it does not warrant the high price tag. Longevity is poor as well.

Cauda Pavonis

Sweet white floral. A dense, deeply saturated jasmine. Candy-like in it's sweetness; almost but not quite verges on too much. I love jasmine so I was really looking forward to trying this. Smells far less complicated than it looks on paper; on the skin it's many parts seem to merge into a simple but large, sweet jasmine. I don't get any amber or labdanum, except perhaps as a the heady sweetness? The woods are there but very subtle and very deep down in the fragrance. Doesn't smell sexy to me - not enough (or any?) indoles - but it does smell big and full bloomed. Feminine in a big, frilly floral dress kind of way.

Fahylando

This is the only feminine fragrance that I own and wear. I like the smell of it but it does not last long and I find myself reapplying it every two hours or so.

It smells nice but I won't be purchasing it again.

Edemay

For me Jasmin Rouge starts out like lys soleia, its rubbery green lily and tuberose, for a second I thought I got the wrong sample. But that disappears and the dirty tropical ylang appears. Overall I'm still smelling mostly a traditional white floral scent.
Now that it has dried down a little I'm getting only a touch of spice and wood, but the scent is very close to the skin.
Disappointed, I think moon bloom is a much better option for white florals and spice.
And this smells nothing like lush lust.

Sambac Jasmine are used as offerings for worship in the Far East. From India, China, to Thailand, Philippines and Bali. A scent synonymous with worship.

I can see that the person who is drawn to this spiced Oriental fragrance has a Goddess character in her. Jasmin Rouge is something you wear with subtle confidence, evocative, and bold. To be awed and praised.

For someone who loves Sambac Jasmine because it always brings me back to hot humid days of beautiful Asia, Jasmin Rouge is a perfume fit for anyone who is sexy and confident.

Jasmine Rouge
Jasmine rouge is a modern seductive, animalic jasmine scent. Its one of the few Tom Fords I really enjoy and can wear. Its sexy, deep and has a luxe feel. Superb for the cold night air of winter. If you enjoy jasmine on the naughty side, check this gem out. Superb longevity.

I can only get joy from this fragrance when outside in night air, where it can actually spread into it's natural atmosphere. It needs so much space to be released, there is no other way to wear it for me. Indoors it's a completely different fragrance, it feels claustrophobic even if used very sparingly, and is so nauseating it makes me feel drained, & it's very long lasting.
But outside it's really beautiful. Weird... the Jasmine is very head strong & loves the cool night air.

Besides that easy-to-wear, gym appropriate aquatic EdT I love, what other fragrance could I possibly need now that I own a bottle of Jasmin Rouge?
None.
The summer heat together with JR makes me feel like a goddess. During the long nordic winter I am convinced it will keep me warm. It is feminine, sensual, seducing. The nose can't get enough. I am in love and have forgotten about the other warm fragrances I like. It smells like the woman you want to be.

Getting dressed for a night out, I will choose clothing and apply makeup before choosing a fragrance. Not with JR. You dress to compliment the fragrance, to honor it.

Update 6.30.17: my boyfriend, who never mentions perfume and who thought for 7 months that the scent he liked so much was my shampoo (it was Eternity Aqua) exclaimed "You smell so good!" upon meeting me yesterday.

belette1992

This is my favorite fragrance ever! It has a special smell that transports you to a difference place that is so unique. This is the find of fragrance you smell on someone and you will be asking what is that? The first spray is extremely strong, but starts to calm down to a very sensual, feminine, classy and addictive smell. I can honestly see this on a man too because it has that smell of seduction that can also drive a woman crazy and at the same time shows confidence. The price tag is not cheap, but this is niche fragrance and it is unique in its own way. Because of this, it better to smell before buying. I myself, only use it for really special occasions!

Ok so I am extending my review just to mention that this fragrance is probably the most lasting fragrance I have ever tried. The silage is strong at first then it becomes a skin fragrance and it lasts hours and hours and hours. This is more of a linear fragrance so the smell from the beginning stays intact and doesn’t change, which I adore because it has the smell of a goddess. I have tried many fragrances and this one is just beautiful and worth trying as least once.

You know those times when you smell something so divine, so perfectly constructed for your tastes, so masterfully blended, it's like you've finally caught the white whale? That's Jasmin Rouge for me.

I've been craving jasmine, but all of the jasmine dominant scents I've been smelling have been just missing the mark. So many jasmines turn screechy and cold on me, but I knew there was one out there that would stay warm and heady. I just had to keep looking (er... smelling).

Jasmin Rouge is almost entirely about the jasmine. It's true jasmine, like you're pressing your nose right up to the flower. But it's not overwhelming. On me, it's noticeable, but it's not obnoxious or loud, like a lot of jasmines can get. It remains soft and close, but with excellent longevity.

As it dries down, the ylang ylang begins to peek out, warming the jasmine just a bit. Perhaps it's this combination that people mistake for tuberose? The ylang does add a bit of a tropical note to JR, so I can see why people might read it as tuberose. But for me, it's unmistakably still jasmine with just a hint of tropical ylang.

There's also a hint of animalic body in here, too, and something that smells like it should be a cigarette. Not tobacco - nothing that strong. Just the slight hint of a cigarette smoked hours ago. Or maybe that's just the cigarette that comes after sex that I think I SHOULD be smelling. My guess is that this is from the combination of leather, cedar, and cardamom. Whatever it is, the effect is the hint of something just a bit naughty. I bet Ede97005 (below) is right and that JR would come truly alive on the dance floor or in the bedroom. JR is meant for hot, sweaty, closeness.

To me, JR smells sophisticated, womanly, and mysterious. I feel sexy with JR. Not obvious and whorish. But like a woman in command of herself and everyone around her. Like someone who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to take it.JR is the woman in the perfect dress who glances at you over her shoulder, because she knows you're watching her walk away. She's the beautiful damsel in film noir who turns out to be the villainess. She's beautiful, fiercely feminine, and you'll do anything she wants.

I tested this beautiful perume yesterday and i was left amazed. What a rollercoaster of emotions!

At first I felt like i was magically transported to baroque bar; heavy red velvet cutrains with aristocratic furniture, soft music playing in the background; the smell of cigarettes burning and jasmin rouge in the air. Red red red. The color of seduction, no wonder they choose this deep red for their bottle. It has this feel to it that it instantly transforms you to royalty; or a sensual seductress.

And later, it evolved. This time, the scenery changed; a magical breezy night in Greece or Italy. You walk through those narrow alleys filled with jasmin crawling up the houses, in an unknown part of the island with the love of your life holding your hand. A feeling of deep love and warmth, with just a hint of mystery.

I could write whole pages about this perfume but the most i get from this are feelings that words cannot explain. A uniquely made and somewhat "exclusive" perfume, considering the price tag. Is it worth it? Absolutely yes.

Lasting power : ~6hrs
Sillage : Cotrollable but can be pretty heavy

Smells like jasmine in the beginning and tuberose in the drydown. I couldn't figure out why people said it smelled like tuberose at first, but now three hours later its tuberose. This is too boring to cost as much as it does. I'd rather have A La Nuit by Serge Lutens.

GeorgiaMoxie

Why on earth do people keep saying tuberose in this? It smells like JASMINE, I get no tuberose at all because there IS NONE! (I own a bottle of this).

Rant aside.

On me this opens up with some heady Sambac Jasmine- bright, sweet and clear and not in the least bit fecal. It's also loud at first. After about 15-20 minutes it softens up and I start smelling the Ylang and sensual spices that give it the "rouge". It's got some sexiness to it, definitely.

It lasts all day on me- 12 hours+ easily. I think people who have an issue with longevity and power are using a bad sample, fake bottle or are quite possibly nose-blind to powerhouse white florals that can clear a room. I personally don't like giving someone on the other end of a conference room a headache. Go Michael Kors or Georgio Beverly Hills if you want that (but honestly, it's kind of selfish to do so- nobody likes that but you.)

I prefer for my silage to sit closer to me...come hither if you want to smell more of me (and I'd call this one a bit more than arms length until dry down, then right at arms length). And the man that gets closer gets the reward, not a headache.

Truly gorgeous. Too feminine for most men though, just FYI to anyone curious because a lot of Tom Ford's fragrances are unisex. This one not so much. If you're a guy who can pull this off then don't listen to me and go work it : )
