Well, I am impressed! I tought this would be another lemony summer fragrance... and it is summery, and lemmony, but it just has something that makes it distintive. I adore it. According to my nose it starts with citrus on top among with tea, after some minutes osmanthus comes up and then mate.

Green, shampoo-y, bright, with a soft rose floating under the citrus. Not sharp or grassy. Light, airy, and pretty.

CITRUS, GREEN-TEA & ROSE-(GERANIUM). Opens with a burst of bergamot supported by petitgrain & ginger, and already you can feel the tea notes coming through. This deepens into the floral heart featuring rose, resting on a woody base. Overall I get a fresh, green-tea scent with reminders of Green Tea Elizabeth Arden, but if you deconstruct it you get a green-tea & citrus-tea-rose scent. The rose here serving to improve performance, becoming more prominent the longer it's on the skin, and leaning to a lemon-y rose-geranium. The mate here brings a faint herbal vibe, and tones down the florals. I'm a long time fan of Green Tea Elizabeth Arden, and I got this awhile ago for something very similar but longer lasting. I wasn't disappointed.

Contrast to Green Tea Elizabeth Arden:
These are different, but there are remarkable similarities. Both are green-tea dominant scents, but Green-Tea Elizabeth Arden has a faint perfume-y vibe (when compared side-by-side) and slightly more forward fruity quality, while Valentino Donna Rosa Verde has a more forward lemon-y-rose-geranium and outperforms.

Overall: Gorgeous green-tea, citrus & tea-rose scent. The bottle and colour of the juice represent the scent well, and this has excellent performance for this type of scent. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

This is beautiful. It’s one of my favorite summer fragrances! I live in the desert and this fragrance keeps me going on really hot summer days. It’s refreshing and I can catch wiffs of it throughout the day. It can get a little sharp when first spraying but seems to disappear very quickly. If you love tea, roses and citrus, this is for you. It’s a lovely fragrance and really lasts at least eight hours. I love this one!!

marinamuses

VERY green. Like freshly mowed grass. Not crazy about it

bossmama

The bergamot tea combo note reminds me of Solinotes The Blanc while the aromatic vibe from ginger reminds me of Bvlgari The Vert. Neither is my favorite tea scent.

This is such a pretty citrus Rose. It was never on my radar, few if any Valentino's are for some unknown reason - but I received a mini along with many other samples that an eBay seller gave to me with a purchase I made. She was so very generous!
So I just dabbed a little bit on about 20 minutes ago and I'm smitten!! Not mind blowing but a really lovely, refreshing summer scent. It reminds me of a classic Eau de Cologne combined with rose water from Santa Maria Novella!
Of course this is based on just a dab or three on my wrist so I can't speak to longevity, etc., but I don't expect them to be amazing. It's the nature of the beast. But I'm pretty sure that I will be looking for a small full bottle to wear next summer. I'm so grateful to the eBay seller for introducing me to something I never would have thought about. The pretty blue color in the classic Valentino stud bottle looks lovely as well. I'm happy! 😁

Oh, I wanted to love it. I love citrus and refreshing light scents. Green Tea has been a warm weather staple for my life (since I was a teenager) and that's why I tried this. This bottle is so pretty! The description sounded wonderful! But after about 15 minutes, the citrus and floral notes disappeared on me, and all I get is smoky mate. Hours later, I move quickly and get whiffs of smokiness and my eyes tear. Could it be olfactory confirmation bias because I read the description on the card describing mate before I tried it? I envy the people who can smell more than that after it dries. Maybe I will try to layer as some other reviews suggested.
PS I'm a beginner, and still figuring out the names of the notes (the ones less encountered in daily life), this site has been immensely helpful with that.

Sanrio

I get primarily bergamot, also a bit of melon rind or cucumber.

Dry down has more tea/mate.

Not a particularly interesting fragrance in my opinion, I do see the comparison of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. Nothing wrong with it, but I don't think Donna Rosa Verde improved upon that scent profile

Susi.312

I cant get enough of Donna Rosa Verde! It is so fresh and beautiful - tea, citrus, rose and green! Sure, its 22 degrees F outside and I don't care! I sprayed it and am dreaming of spring and summer! I need to save up for a full size bottle! Its a LOVE!

Update: It is now almost Summer and I love this even more! It is refreshing on a hot and sticky day. The performance does not lag in the heat. For an EDT she performs so well - about 6 hours on my skin before I need to reapply. All day long on my clothes.

I am now almost done with my travel spray and NEED to get a full bottle. I smell this beauty and just smile!

OTA Mom

I get loads of mate with sharp bergamot. Waited for the rose to come out but it never did.

SarahKatrina

I was a bit disappointed in this one. Saw that Giselle of GB Fragrances talk about it and i thought that it would be a unique green scent .But it really ends up smelling a bit like your typical citrus cologney fragrance. The opening is quite sharp and alcoholic. Im trying hard to get the rose but it seems even more tea-like in its vibes. Like i end up thinking about Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, DKNY Energizing Women, or Nishane Wulong Cha and i might choose any of these over this one. huhu . In any case, great for a lazy hot day at home :)

Jenbug23

I blind bought this based on the positive reviews but this was a let down for me. It opens up with a huge blast of citrus and rose but it's immediately followed by the Mate. It pretty much dominates the entire development of the fragrance. Which is unfortunate because it has all the makings of a wonderful fragrance if not for that particular note. To make it wearable I layer it with my rose essential oil perfume

Update : now that it’s warmer outside, I’ve definitely been wearing and enjoying this way more. It’s really refreshing. That Mate note is a bit harder to notice which is great. I pair it with Davidoff Cool Water and Acqua Di Gioia. It’s a golden elixir.

I like this one. It is bright, clean, and refreshing. Upon first spraying, you are greeted with a lovely herbal, citrus blend. It makes me think of drinking an ice-cold glass of lemonade with a sprig of mint leaves on a very hot summer day. As it dries down, a lovely floral scent enters and intermingles with the cool citrus and they continue to balance one another throughout the day. This isn't necessarily the type of fragrance that I would wear, however, I respect the beauty of it. If you like "green" fragrances, I think that you will love Donna Rosa Verde.

Daria Lawson

I love this type of fresh yet sweet type of fragrance. It smelt familiar to me because of the bergamot yet the magnolia lends a creamy and sophisticated body to the scent which makes it feel elegant and grown up. I enjoy wearing this for most of the year and switch to something else for winter.

Phemonoe

Beautiful, fresh fragrance: opens with a bright spritz of meyer lemon zest, then wafts in with freshly cut rose stems, enhanced by the other green notes and a little pop of ginger. The image conjured is prepping a rose bouquet for a vase in a cool and clean morning kitchen flooded with gentle sunlight, using the same knife you just used to slice a lemon for your morning cup of earl grey tea sitting nearby. It would be my signature fragrance, but unfortunately the longevity and sillage are pretty weak, as an EDT it would need constant reapplication. Still a nice pick-me-up in morning and puts me in a terrific mood, I also sometimes spritz it as a bedtime fragrance for positive dreams.

Rosa Verde is an underrated perfume with zero hype, yet it deserves so much more attention. This is bright, green and very refreshing, just what you need for those stifling hot summer days. There is just a hint of a fresh dewy rose that peeks through the bergamot strong opening. As it dries down it stays quite close to the skin but here is where the rose and magnolia share the stage. It is light, zesty and youthful. A beautifully blended jewel that shouldn't be overlooked.

Katieo_827

I dislike this. I want to like it so badly but I do not, I got it in a monthly fragrance subscription so at least I'm very glad I didn't get a full size.

This is very sharp herbaceous green smelling perfume. When I say sharp, I mean bitingly sharp. It's intense and to my nose, it is not feminine at all.

I love fresh, floral, citrus, woody, chypre, soft green scents I tried this of the recommendation on the comment section of one of my favorite perfumes- Izia by sisley, the girl said they are very similar, and that could not be farther from the truth. Izia is a bright bergamot/whitefloral/realistic cedar/pink pepper perfume that is beautifully strong and feminine. Valentino Donna Rosa Verde is MUCH different

adelaidesandrina

this smells like the hand washes in hotel bathrooms. really nice actually, but why the hell does this only last for 5 mins then poof

yy_hehe

when first sprayed, this perfume has a rather strong ginger+bergamot kind of citrusy fresh scent( matches the top notes ), but the ginger kind of fades quite fast, leaving a rather floral scent ( not too strong tho ) with a hint of bergamot. The only thing that might affect people is probably the fact that the woodiness is almost non existent for me, i barely smell any woodiness but for me its a good thing since i rlly like the citrus+floral combi its definitely not the overwhelming kind of citrus+floral scent that will give someone a headache and neither does it smell like floor cleaner just a light rosy smell with a hint of ginger together with bergamot, and definitely smells slightly similar to green tea and i mean slightly by they both give me 5 star hotel toilet smells like is not overwhelming, but yet addictive to smell.

main negative opinion:
it does NOT last for a long time, and the smell just melts into the skin shortly, making it almost impossible to smell it with a mask on after sweating a tiny bit, after a whole day of wearing it, it just smells like a 5 star hotel with some floral bits so def not for people that are finding for a strong floral scent, and neither is it for people finding for a really citrusy smell that would last throughout the day since it becomes rather weak.

overall this perfume is just a very universal perfume that is a very safe blind buy for almost every weather, since non of the notes are very strong or overwhelming which i really appreciate and if u like the luxury hotel scent(which i enjoy), this is something u would really enjoy. (ps it was a really good blind buy for me)

Valentino Donna Rosa Verde is a contemporary continuation of the topic that was started with the launch of Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden (the nose behind is Francis Kurkdjian) and O-Zone Woman by Sergio Tacchini in the year 1999 and 2000, respectively.
Whereas Green Tea revolves around the tee notes and O-Zone is dominated by the citrusy brightness, this creation from the year 2018 is dedicated rather to the flower of rose, with citruses and mate playing secondary roles and being there to support the queen of the flowers.
This is a beautiful, long-lasting scent for spring and summer days, and actually for any season when you would like to indulge into the spring rose feeling.

I absolutely loved this scent. It's going to become a new favorite for me! It's so well blended, really bright and green, not at all sharp, and the florals complement the citrus without overpowering it. This is a perfect spring and summer scent, but is fresh enough to wear throughout the year. I could see this easily becoming a year-round signature scent. The ginger makes it somewhat herbal but really contributes to the freshness. Don't let the rose note fool you - unlike many rose perfumes, this one isn't heavy, old-fashioned, mature, or powdery. Instead, it retains a freshness and a greenness that is rare for rose perfumes. Absolutely AMAZING. I loved this so much that I bought the full size. I cannot get over how delicious and fresh this is. Not too sweet, unisex bordering on feminine, and the ginger is what makes this really special.

vetivergal

So glad I bought this, I fear it could be discontinued soon (all my favorite flankers get discontinued)... This is so great for summer. It’s a crisp, fresh spicy woody fragrance. It opens with pleasant citrus but ultimately dries down to such a pleasant woody tea scent. Not overpowering at all and lasts all day. Effortless, pleasant and sophisticated. Nobody would be offended by this.

Christine 78

Has this been discontinued? I wanted to buy this again, and it was sold out in almost every site. 😳
( I am from Denmark)

fawneyed_sita

The opening reminds me of Un Jardin Sur Le Nil but without the interesting vegetal-lotus dry down. In fact I'm wearing them both on alternate arms right now and they are quite similar. I do notice this one is significantly softer in the opening (bergamot is less sour and sharp than the grapefruit), with more floral notes than UJSN but it does not last nearly as long as UJSN or project as strongly. I do start to get some of those mate notes in the drydown for this, but very softly as it dissipates into nothing. I get no rose or just maybe a touch of ginger personally. This fragrance does smell very good, its definitely not a floor cleaner type citrus, which I hate (looking at you D&G Light Blue). I do enjoy this perfume but not enough to warrant a full bottle (4 oz!! I only buy 1-1.7 oz bottles) so I'll probably just finish up my 6 ml mini and continue my quest for the perfect fresh but soft citrus.

Rosa Verde couldn't have a more spot on name because it's exactly that: a budding rose that is too new, hasn't opened yet and what you really smell is the stem and the leaves, that's it. It's a total green rose. I knew I had smelled something exactly like this scent when I tried it on and wore it a few more times. It smells exactly like the smell in Goodwill stores. At least in the city I live, all of them smell exactly like this perfume. I must say, this messed up my perception of the perfume because every time I smell it, I feel like I'm entering a Goodwill store. (I love Goodwill, by the way, it's just that that was my first experience with a fragrance that smells exactly like this one.)

Soozatska

I received a sample in the mail as I was heading out to the beach. It's been very hot in NYC this summer, and this frag is a breath of fresh air. I love how it opens with a green rose and then mellows into a citrus-green tea blend, with the petitgrain upping the greenness. The sillage works well for summer, too-it's light but you can still catch whiffs of it on yourself. Very comforting on these hot days- I loved smelling it mingling with the salty air at the beach!

Edit: I ordered a purse spray after enjoying the small sample bottle so much. Somehow, the ginger note is MUCH more prominent when the perfume is sprayed as opposed to dabbed on. I saw an earlier review saying that it was too spicy, which I initially did not get at all, but this ginger definitely packs a punch! Gingery lemon-green tea, all the way!

rchayes

This smells like lemon head candies. Very uplifting and youthful.

divakitty24

I must first say " Valentino " in any form is my least purchased brand , no reason other than I never thought to try outside of my comfort zone of " favorites " like Paloma Picasso , Obsession , Poison . I don't really know why this caught my attention , other than I don't have a straight up " green " perfume . The notes sounded intriguing and alluring . I love rose in any form , as well as musk , bergamot , and magnolia . The spicy accords of ginger and mate tea may have been present in a lower rung of the note pyramid , but I would not have known it . I also purchased at the same time " Acqua di Palma " Rose Nobile , since I read reviews on how lovely it was overall , getting a clean rose scent . I received my order a few weeks back , at least 2 weeks ago ,and a day apart . I wore the Valentino first and it is for sure " green " I had it on when the Rose Nobile arrived and I was excited to try on top of Valentino's Donna Rosa Verde . I have heard of layering and read others reviews about doing so , I've left the house with something like LVEB on and it faded and I just used any rollerball perfume that I had , so I don't consider that layering , not really . I could never figure out which two to choose . Well I'm amazed that those two combined are " classy & luscious " and work so well together , they belong in same family like a long lost " sister " I like Valentino's DRV it is the cleanest scentual I have , I'm still discovering her , { I've worn twice } I get the idea of layering , putting a weaker perfume with a stronger one , or one that is similar in notes . The bottle is tall , clear , and rippled with a vintage feel , mine came with a tall black spray guard of plastic which lets you know this is class with a capital C { and a heavy glass one too } a feel of an " era long gone " I love these two together , a 100% rosy , green and refreshing scentual ~ If you can do a combination of these two , give it a try , I think you'll enjoy as much as I do , I was very much surprised by how much so ~ ///=^ } ~

Blooondie

I am very happy with this fragrance. It is hard to find a true osmanthus fragrance. Osmanthus is light and fluffy paired with magnolia. With a middle blend adding in some simple rose and bergamot! The dry down is quite soft and pleasant. This fragrance is not over powering. Just the right silage.

Overall 9/10
Another hit by Valentino!

BiancaDrumea

I love the original Donna and when this was launched I received a sample. I wanted to order it for a while but the price kept me away particularly because I don’t use a lot of this fresh green type of scent but it reminds me of old The Vert by L’Occitane and this summer I finally decided it was time to graduate to my wardrobe. It’s such a beautiful scent, perfect for very warm summer days. It doesn’t last very long but I don’t mind it because I tend to apply this type of scents in the morning and then wear something else towards the evening or afternoon.

frawlabut

this perfume is beautifully blend very fresh you can smell the herbs and the citrus and all the aromatic notes, Sometimes I use to blend one drop of oud agarwood oil with some soft perfume to make it more rich and heavy Donna Rose Verde comes with that smell without being heavy its so so amazing I loved it very much

Anamandy

This perfume is a trip. It really takes you on quite a journey. It's like 3 perfumes in one. Starts out as a Rose fragrance, then morphs into a Magnolia scent, and ends as an Osmanthus perfume. It's weird, but instead of all blending, the flowers really are individually showcased, one following the other. Beautiful all the way through, and the flowers smell like the real deal. The citrus floral green of petigrain and the spiciness of ginger add a refreshing quality to the composition and serve to enhance the realism of the flowers. The musk mallow and mate keep the scent from being sharp. Overall, I think it's a really unique and beautiful fragrance that's very uplifting. Silage is great, as is longevity. A few sprays lasted most of the day. I only have a travel sprayer from fragnet, but will definitely be purchasing a fb when this is finished. Love, love, love!!!

pjspaceshit

First of all, I can't believe that someone compared this to Elizabeth Arden - Green tea... when this is SO MUCH BETTER!

I don't detect any straight up green tea note in Donna Rosa Verde. It's a sharp burst of super energizing rose, which after few minutes settles into spicy ginger and bergamot, followed by the drydown of photorealistic matcha powder.

Super unusual and original, the best pick me up scent on a hot day. There's absolutely no hint of sweetness, which I highly appreciate for this type of refreshing scent. I sprayed my hand 5 times yesterday and I felt super fresh and could't stop sniffing myself! Oh, and I found the fragrance actually quite powerful, due to the slight overspraying, so I wouldn't be afraid of that.

doodiefroodie

Man, I wish this perfume kept smelling for the whole day how it does right out of the bottle and on my skin. To me, I get that fresh cut rose stem smell in the opening. It's like I'm at the flower shop, watching my bouquet being put together, all the stems intermingling and bruising.

I was disappointed initially by the dry down. It seemed to disappear almost completely after its short-lived splendor. Today, though, I applied it first about 7 hours ago and reapplied again 2 hours after that (as was needed) and I'm experiencing more success in longevity!? I do find that the scent also gets spicier on me, specifically the ginger note, in the dry down.

If I end up killing my mini 6ml bottle and find myself wanting more, I can absolutely see grabbing a 100ml and spraying/respraying to my heart's content since it's fairly reasonably priced.

Also, disclaimer: I'm new to this so take everything I say with a grain of salt!

MahaS

I loved the original Valentino Donna so much that I became very curious about it's flankers. If you are looking into this fragrance because you like the original, keep in mind that this has nothing to do with the original one. They are two completely different fragrances.

It's not my cup of tea but it doesn't mean that it's a bad fragrance. It's delicate and to me it does smell like Rose stems. There is something about it that doesn't let the fragrance become smooth on my skin, to me it feels like it just doesn't work on my Chemistry. However, after 1 hour of smelling in on my wrist I might be able to wear this for summer, I can also smell green tea and bergamot (The lemon everyone is talking about). Based on past experience this is the kind of fragrance that you want to wear in hot weather, they don't tend to get cloying. And even though it's not similar to Dolce Gabbana Light Blue I would say that it has the same vibe.

Unfurling Blossoms

I saw a Youtube review that said this smelled exactly like fresh rose stems... I was sooo excited because fresh photorealistic botanicals are my passion. Sadly, however, this was not photorealistic of anything other than unsweetened Lipton iced tea mix with the artificial lemon flavoring + enough water to dilute the he'll out of it. I was so sad because not only were my hopes up for the fragrance but the prospect of collecting such a beautiful bottle as well. It smells nothing like fresh rose stems or any stem for that matter except some mild tea leaves with artificial lemon juice.

Edit: If you want something that smells like photorealistic rose stems soaking in a vase of crystal clear, fresh, cool water, get a sample of Flower Show by Demeter - I usually don't like Demeter fragrances as they are almost always non-photorealistic but this one is photorealistic and it is BEAUTIFUL!

MrsTefee

I like this. It smells great...buuuuut it smells exactly like elizabeth arden green tea. Citrus green tea. That is exactly what this is.

RUDOLFO512

Valentino Dona Rossa Verde is a very nice green and fresh fragrance. Refreshing and perfect for the Spring/Summer months. I originally bought it for my niece and then bought one for me. I think it could pass for unisex. Would like to see it in an eau de parfum.

Gemini12

Based on the reviews here I didn't know what to expect and I wasn't prepared for how fresh and pretty this perfume is. On me this is predominantly a citrusy green tea scent. I can't discern any specific floral notes, but I know they're present as they, along with the ambrette, give the perfume a softness that rounds out any harsh edges from the tea and citrus. I think it's smoother and less "synthetic" than many of the EA Green Tea perfumes. When I found a bottle on clearance at a local discounter, I grabbed it up and it quickly became one of my go-to perfumes of this past summer.

1guy1dog3cats

Valentino's Donna Rosa Verde is an under-the-radar gem. In a just world, there'd be buzz galore for this one. A perfect tea note paired with a bit of citrus and a lovely rose. Some might say "fleeting," but I prefer "understated." It's affordably available in 125 mL, so spritz, spritz, and re-spritz to your heart's content! The studded glass bottle is satisfying to the eye and in the hand too.

Firooz

opening is refreshing and dry down is calming and comforting. especially I love the rose note in it; very soft yet fresh. and longevity is quit good (about 6-8 hours). Such a lovely fragrance. A must have for summers.

floralscents88

bright and fresh. on my skin, i can't smell the rose. there's a very soft and shy floral but its somehow overshadowed by the fresh and green notes. is it unique? absolutely. is it safe and inoffensive? oh yes it is. BUT it's quite short-lived and very fleeting which could be an issue to some. on me, there is a mild lozenge-like kind of smell, if that makes sense. it does dissipate after a while.

Firooz

Very fresh, green and citrusy. Perfect for the hot summers where I live. Lovely scent.

eyeneedles

I LOVE this perfume and I hate to admit the ginger note gives me a massive headache. Everything else about it is perfect, flawless, everything. It’s just that one note that takes over for me.

fabienne.carsauw

Instant thé vert smell.
Few minutes later i smell citrus, greens...
Very fresh, unisex fragance

elmccullar

Starts out as lemony green tea and mellows to a floral lemon verbena type scent. It's not super impressive, but it's also very non-offensive and pretty. It's fresh and light and clean. I snagged a bottle at a great price, so I am happy with it. I think I'll get a lot of summertime wear out of this one. I LOVE the bottle. It's absolutely beautiful!
I do not find it similar in any way to the original Donna, nor is it similar to the Acqua version.

Chischek

I was working in a duty free shop at the airport when this perfume was released and the bottle immediately caught my attention. I have a penchant for all perfumes green and this one was beautiful. The bottle was beautiful and the juice inside smelled amazing so I had to have it! On me it smells like roses or even rosebuds... green and fresh, like freshly cut roses. I also detect ginger, mate and bergamot that somehow turns into lime on my skin. This is a lovely summer fragrance that smells very elegant and fresh. A friend tested it aswell and on her it was sweeter and more powdery but still very lovely. I'd say it's a fresh/flowery gourmand. A must have!

shinayu

OMG when I saw 3 people thought it smells like the green tea edt by l'occitane i was like yessss!! cos I own the green tea edt myself as well so I was like this smells pretty much the same except the l'occitane one was so much cheaper! and it's my gf's signature scent (more like she used my perfume and fell in love with it and became her signature scent rather than mine) haha regardless this smells nice, fresh and green tea (not as green as the l'occitane one) but it's still elegant!

kate23

The best ever fresh and green, senaual at the same time perfume.

marai321

wonderfull, so green so fresh, when I am with VVRV my day is so beautifull, full of fun, one of the best way to improve my mood.;
longevity is not the best one, however the fragrane smeels so natural;
very fresh, good option for Miu Miul'eau Rosee, stronger.

Vanian

Years ago I used to bath in Very Valentino, until the moment when it was discontinued. This one reminds me of it, especially from the middle stage on the skin onward. The opening is very citrus-y, which differs from Very Valentino. All of you who used to like Very Valentino, give this a go.

aqua76239

I really liked it a lot-it does have similarities to Green Tea which I owned and went through whole bottle of it in no time because it doesn't last. This is richer, spicier, better blended, sophisticated version. Very nice for casual scent, and if you want to smell casual and expensive lol

[email protected]

Super citrusy on me but with enough of a hint of green/white florals not to make me smell like pine sol, lol. :) The citrus came on like a freight train, blew by and then sort of hung in the air but while I got the magnolia and alot of tea up close, never really got the rose notes coming through- not sure if its my chemistry or the other notes were a little overwhelming. I love ambrette and could catch a hint of it under everything but for me the balance was much more to the citrusy/tea side, like I literally could have been having a cup of tea and just catching a whiff of it as I squeezed my lemon into it, lol. I actually really liked this scent though as for me it had some staying power and it felt fresh and crisp. It might be a nice pick-me-up on a grey winter day.

Flowersnmusk

I mixed the Donna Rosa with Tom Ford Orchid Soleil. The two fragrances seem to balance one another. The Rosa becomes more seductive and the Orchid becomes fresher. They seemed to smell both more lovely and sophisticated in a fresh sort of way. The silliage is not great but the longevity was about five hours on me. I think I will mix the two again for a soft and fresh daytime fragrance.

Smellslikeperfume

They said it is a fantastic delicious smell. So the first chance I had I bought it. So far very pleased and I am even very happy about the fact that it only comes in one size : 125ml (seems a lot but you will use it till the end). I cannot stop using it as a every day perfume. So fresh (lemon, ginger) and light, very long lasting (you have to cream your body every day with a hydrating cream otherwhise your skin eats up any perfume). I still smell it at night.
I can only say: Buy it! It is so worth its money. It is not a perfume you start using and ends up half empty on your shelf. You will finish it until the last drop.

P.S. A tip for every perfume: You have to cream your body every day with a hydrating cream otherwhise your skin eats up any perfume.

I was so ready to love this after smelling it in the store. I am hyper sensitive to smell, so I usually won't try it on my skin unless I'm planning on going straight home, or I grab a sample to try at home. Well, I'm home now and I'm extra disappointed.
At first spray I was blown away by the lime! Deliciously bright and juicy. And then... That smell of hospice. I'm not sure what is causing it, but it smells like old people at a care home. I'm so upset.

FabulouslyLazy

Gorgeous. But it doesn't last more than one hour. What a pity Valentino!

I'm in love with the color of this beautiful transparent shade in the gorgeous bottle with the light streaming through the multifaceted cuts of the glass. It reminds me of the light washes of blue discovered while experimenting with watercolor pigments and water washes. This has a mood like a mermaid type underwater effect with transparent layers of water and light.

I'm still sampling the perfume.... love it so far, just waiting to see how long this wears on my skin. This scent is clean, approachable, aquatic -- but in a light pure way, soft, and whispers rather than shouts your presence. It has an almost green tea-like essence and quality about it, as if you are steeping a favorite tea while sitting in a garden chair. This has an outdoorsy, peaceful quality to it. It resonates with yoga, a connected sense of simple reverence. I really love this scent. it is unassuming, but yet - is extremely powerful... just like the beautiful color chosen for the designer bottle and fluid color. This is a light wash of a rich jewel. It is like a beam of a light house -- cutting through any hesitation - and shining "the truth" in a way that is easy on the eyes - and lungs.... but definitely lets you know that you have experienced first hand - "the TRUTH".

I'm wearing this now, determinining if this will be a new "Signature" scent.

Someone mentioned that this has the smell of the taste of a lemon drop candy. A fairly sharp sweet lemon which is a gorgeous light airy blend in a perfume. Still, there is a twinge of green tea that grounds the alto chords. This is simple... quite understated, but a healthy nod towards being balanced and wholesome -- which is a beauty all its own in a world that often tries to over state something just for power. Sometimes purity and truth ground something in a way that trying to overstate something can not. This is lovely. Well balanced and well blended.

If so, this will be a fragrance that will hold a position which is its own blend. Something for days when "less is more".... but also - when I'm wanting to create a gentle and approachable spiritual awareness... rather than wearing a fragrance that conjures up the overly heavy and heady 1980's fragrances.

This is the opposite of a cloying and overly dominant fragrance.
This leaves someone wanting to move in close for a hug --and to be in your presence. It is a breath of fresh air in a world of fragrances that sometimes "say too much".

Simplicity is sometimes the most direct path.
A lack of clutter - allows you to move forward without distraction.

Feng Shui - Wind and Water....a soft breeze directs the path.

This is a new genre of fragrance.
I really LOVE THIS!
Wow!

---------

I love this so far --
Now for longetivity with wear. Eight hours is my requirement -- I'm waiting now! At four hours, this is fabulous!

If this remains good a total of at least eight hours - this may be my next "Signature"!

Update:

I bought a small sample of this to see how much I would actually wear it - and if it would be something that I reach for enough to spring for a larger bottle.

This has a slight ozonic composition that causes a tickle in the back of my throat.
We have been wearing masks a lot with Covid, so I may be more sensitive to this now than I would have been before the quarantines.

I love the freshness of this perfume. It is refreshing, pure, and simple.
The color of this perfume is a soulful fresh mermaid water color - so beautiful and serene.
This perfume is amazing, but I'm still seeing how well I handle the slight ozonic opening of this. Time will tell.

------------
I can't stay away from this, just ordered some more samples of this to make sure that I absolutely LOVE THIS before purchasing a larger bottle of it.

This is the stuff that dreams are made of --
Scrumptious! Lovely! Clean as if this perfume were a beautiful transparent watercolor wash --

I love it!

New Discovery -

Valentino's Donna Rosa is a cousin to Chanel Chance Fraiche' and Elizabeth Arden's Untold Fraiche'. The biggest difference is so subtle that it is barely detected and would probably require an expert nose to discern. Valentino's Donna Rosa is about 10% different and leans more marine/blue with a lemon drop essence finish - whereas Chanel Chance Fraiche' and Elizabeth Arden's Untold Fraiche' lean more lime/green (both having slightly different nuances that make them about 8% unique). All are really great if you love this type of spring/summer light and airy fresh scent. And if this is REALLY "YOUR Thing"
-- you could use these all to form a niche' signature for yourself where you wear a different perfume in this collection each day to satisfy your need for a day-cation type adventure, while still creating a strong "signature" scent that others will be able to recognize you by.

Read my reviews for Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche, and Elizabeth Arden's Untold Fraiche', and David Yurman's Fresh Essence too, if you really like Valentino's Donna Rosa. These all have the clean, fresh, green-tea type spa vibe to them. Donna Rosa Verde has more of a lemon zest opening though, it is super fresh and you really must love the smell of lemon and rose to like this one.

It is in a similar genre to Haiku by Avon, which is the first perfume that I reviewed on Fragrantica.com several years ago. I do not still have Haiku in my fragrance collection, but it would be nice to compare these two and see how similar they are to each other.

Walked in to my favorite perfume shop saw this green juice on the top shelf on top of all those colorful valentino bottles, sprayed once and oh! in love at the first sniff, my spring mood awakened!

Days after, there I was on the way to Northern Luxembourg for spring weekend get away to Le Château d’Urspelt, was a beautiful clear sunny day, the roof of the car was opened, the sun kissed our skin, passed miles and miles of meadows on both side of the road, birds flying high to the mountain trees, the smell of fresh air, the smell of fresh cutted grass, the smell of spring!, the smell of Rosa Verde *deep sigh of pleasure* hhhhmmmmm.... if freedom have a smell, Rosa Verde could be just that... it's joy full, it's refreshing, it's happiness!

Fresh lime sorbet, the zestiness stays subtle on skin, it has this cooling & relaxing effect on me everytime it passes my nose, it makes me feel happy. Fantastic smell on a hot day!

I am lucky that it sticks on skin well, sillage is good for little more than just few hours then it went subtle and stay close to the skin, only need re-spray 1 pump once during the day for refreshment and by the end of the day it did not disappeared completely, there were still trace of it even just little bit before I shower in the evening. for me this is a plus point considering it's only an EDT.

So much love for Rosa Verde. I thought I would never came across Valentino again but now... never say never...
Got 125ml on discount for only €57, bought 2 bottles straight away before the discount was finished *satisfied smile*

I love to drink mate tea, but i realized i am not a big fan of it as a perfume note. I think, in fragrances, it smells too masculine to my taste. In the case of Rosa Verde, the bergamot amplified this feeling. The rose and the magnolia are not enough to feminize this fragrance.
It is not a bad scent, don’t get me wrong, it is just not my cup of tea. Apart from that, i think The Vert & Bigarade from L‘Occitane en Provence has a nicer mate note.
I only recommend Rosa Verde to women who like unisex or very citrusy fragrances. Or soapy perfumes.
Rosa verde is not your usual floral fruity gourmand that dominate the shelves these days, but it is not unique either. There are many fresh fragrances out there that smell similar to it.

muahah

It's quite floral and rose with green notes. This green for me seems little bit synthetic and have bit gourmand sweet-ish quality. Ginger is there, but not overwhelming, it only adds mood. After about hour rose fades to background it starts to slightly remind tea. It's fresh, warm, inoffensive. Modern, but not loud. Not overly complicated, but different. This perfume asks to be in nature, or at least to keep window wide open in office. Great for summer and spring. Overall there is Valentino vibe. In general I see this perfume for woman 20 up to maybe 40, but if it fits then wear in any age.

Tsiolkovski

This is a fresh, green and soapy scent. It's a kind of fresh out from the shower-scent. I find it lovely for day-time wear during spring-summer.

It is very dissimilar to the original donna. So much so that I'm not quite sure why they didn't just make this a new perfume under a new name.

The mate is strong already from the beginning, so is the bergamot and the ginger. The petitgrain, rose and musk mallow fill in after a while, but they stay much weaker than the mate, bergamot and ginger. The mixture ends up reminding me of lime and soap.

For a clean-type of scent, it is actually quite strong. I can detect it easily from 40 cm away after spraying it once. It looses a lot of its strength within a few hours, but stays noticeable for a full day.

NICE mixture between citruses and spices!
Usually I find spices more often in wintery heavy base perfumes, but really rarely in summery fresh fragrance and I like it!! Makes the perfume special!
The opening is very zesty, when it dries down bergamot starts to be the prominent note, but the sour lime is always there!

A very refreshing and zesty fragrance. Something different to wear during hot summer (if we get it here upnorth this year). I smell a very strong bergamote and petitgrain in the opening, very little of rose despite the name, and strong mate base.
Very simple yet strong projection and an enjoyablescent in general

Just tried this at Nordstrom... I like it it's going to be my July/August scent.. first it's green tea notes , and it had me at that..

Valy in the sky
