Putting this on felt like being awoken from a coma by cardamom smelling salts and having someone grinding pepper directly into your face. Combined with the apple, this fragrance made me feel nauseous and I immediately washed it off my skin. My friend I was with complained about the smell too. My partner says it smells like how you would imagine the perfume department in Spongebob would smell. Absolutely horrible.

It smells nice on paper- I have a sample and tested it on a strip first. It smelled so nice. I didn’t like the opening particularly but it was ok. But the dry down was really nice. Unfortunately on my actual skin it smells like vegetable juice and not in a good way. I have other frags with similar notes that I like but this does something with my skin chemistry that just doesn’t work.

OTA Mom

Apple, cardamom, and cedar that comes off as old wood, like you've entered an abandoned house. Quite strong in an overbearing way. A scrubber for me.

pizzy2wizzy

Smells like toilet cleaner absolutely disgusting perfume not even toilet cleaner in like an interesting or thought provoking way just straight toilet cleaner no way people would actually wear this ,one of the few fragrances I genuinely hate.

Angelic3432

I've had this decant about a month and at first i only got the cardamom and wood notes with a hint of fruit which I still enjoyed but after letting it macerate the apple now shines through. Xerjoff does not miss! They're continuing to prove why they're my favorite house. I have 20 decants at the moment and each is so enjoyable to wear!

This is lovely 🤩 I like this way more than Erba Pura. It has similar fruity vibe but it's different, like fresh pinaple, cut in front of you with all the juices and greens of the fruit mixed with something light and comforting like a hand cream. Very nice blend! Fresh and fruity, sort of like a bubble gum (in a good way, not a cheap candy smell). I will spend a day with this one and I think I will buy full bottle. Such a fun happy mix! I want this to be the scent my children memorize with me as their mom. I'm in love!

Edit: So I spent a day wearing this beauty and I think I will actually buy full bottle! The dry down on my skin is divine! I understand the negative comments here and I kind of smell it too but on my skin this simply works! Very nice scent.

Reading the scent notes, thought this would be something I would love. Unfortunately on my skin, at first there are the bright citrus and green apple notes. Then the cedar wood takes over and smells like a closet in an old house. WAY too intense and overpowering. A disruption to the other notes/accords. There is a fruity hard candy scent that I also find unpleasant. Good longevity, sillage more of a scent bubble. Absolutely leans masculine.

Took me right to the gate of the best carnival. Biting into the biggest candy apple green covered in caramel, riding the scrambler and getting sticky with funnel cake. Fun, festive fragrance.

Tonight I'm trying this for the second time. I only did one spray this time. I don't know if this is true for all niche fragrances but less seems to be more. So it's like something green that's been roasted. And its gorgeous. I just re-tried Terre d'Hermes last night and this is like a green version of that. It's warm, not fresh and not spicy. But it's nice. I would love to have a bottle of this. On a cool, rainy spring or summer day, I'd put on my favorite hoodie, a spray of this and curl up with a good book or movie. It's hard to justify the price for that kind of use, but I really am enjoying wearing this scent. It's so relaxing. I'm really glad to give fragrances like this a second or even third chance.

Absolutely stunning scent. The love of the first sniff 🥰 It has this gummy like scent that drives me nuts

JamesGamez

This smells like so many different bad things all at once. It smells like a spice cabinet. Old moldy fruit. Smells like sprite mixed with dust. Smells like someone musty sprayed apple pefume over the must.

M M M M MMM smh 🤕

gretta

This is awful.

Shawn330

Unique and metallic soured lemon and green apple with beautiful white floral sweet musky dry down. Classic xerjoff V collection unique beast mode perfume not for the faint of heart. This is niche after all. I can see why its not well liked, but that’s the beauty of it

Nessers

I don't like how it smells like a caramel apple. After the fragrance sits for about an hour I get the Jasmine and orange blossom. That part I enjoy. But most of the time I get the caramel apple patchouli mixture. It's just not something I like to wear all the time. Borderline makes me sick. The entire V Collection I don't think is my forte. I believe I have tried four so far. There isn't one I want to purchase. The Brand as a whole I really enjoy, but not this particular collection.

Mizi

It’s strange but in an interesting way. Green apple waxy crayon, dash of lemon, musk, cardamom…Very well mixed. I’m not sure about it yet, don’t hate it but it’s not an easy one to love. Not heavy, not sweet. Hmmm?

likesleet

green and mature citrus. bad &rotten. kind of old

cvargasvega

I hated it at first sniff. It smells at first like very ripe fruit, almost damaged. Then I started sneezing like crazy and had to wash myself. Horrible!

Hmmm, I don’t get much apple, but a greenish oxidizing apple skin, barbershop aftershave citrus scent. There is also a seaside aroma, maybe it’s the apple note mixing with other notes to create this smell. It leans masculine.

6/10-not bad, just not for me

bestmichaelana

No clue why, but I get zero fruitiness from this scent. It smells like exclusively like incense. Smoky, powdery, not sweet, not fruity. I was expecting something so different since many people categorize this as a fruity fragrance.

Cristalcanal

The dry down smells like raid the roach killer. Not a fan

AndySmellsGreat

Bright at first apple on top of teak or some wood drops down after a few minutes letting the cardamom peep through, almost sugar coated before the sublime vanilla appears letting you know this is an amazingly sophisticated vanilla scent.

The vanilla is yellowed out and bodied by a subtle jasmin. The patch and pepper giving the scent a texture and depth that isn’t too dark.

An exceptional bright woody vanilla unlike any other.

Drool worthy.

I hate to give seemingly negative reviews but this fragrance smells horrible! Honestly, it smells like a firm hold hair spray! It's harsh and strong and thru the life of the wear, it just gets stronger and more powdery.. ooh my goodness, somwthing is not agreeing or meshing together. I believe its this amalfi lemon, with that cardamom and the cedar...no no no!! Smh!! Obviously a FB would be a Hard NO! Glad I got a 1ml sample....actually kind of upset I spent money on the $5 sample. This is baaad. 🐑

Sometimes I wonder how fragrances would be received if we could only ever sample them blind. That's not to say that knowing a particular house or style or perfumer doesn't enhance the enjoyment of a fragrance - sometimes understanding a particular technique can allow you to admire how skilfully it was done, for example. But going in blind would also remove a certain amount of bias in the other direction as well: it would allow for the enjoyment of a work based on your own personal preferences, and not out of the understanding of how it "should" be read (either due to price tag or otherwise).

Which is all to say: I tried this blind, and honestly, I expected this to be something that was sold for under $30 in a pharmacy. To amanda, who said that this smelt like "citrus apple flavored car window cleanser" - yep, you nailed it. This smells so synthetically-sickly-sweet that it's aggressively cloying. It's like a "green apple and vanilla" air freshener on steroids. I don't know if it's the musk in this or what, but on me, it's a mess.

I'll grant it this - if it didn't have that underlying sickly-cloying smell it'd be a lot nicer. It is bright, it does have apple, there is citrus. It projects loudly and lasts a decent length of time. I can see why people would like it. But that synthetic-sweet note just absolutely pummels this scent into submission on my skin, and it's that same synthetic-sweet note that gives the impression that this is something much cheaper than what this retails for.

Try before you buy.

AndySmellsGreat

Wow!

Fresh green apple with cinnamon (in reality the cardomom) over a touch of tobacco (the cedar and musk) softens after 15 minutes to let the vanilla show through and then it’s a joyous bright yet warm hand in hand for the next twelve hours at least. The long dry down really letting you know this is really a vanilla scent despite the notes and inference from promotional material and fragranticas description.

Classic Xerjoff - no brainer - amazingly unisex though I would call this more androgynous in that on a man it’s a mans scent and on a lady it’s a ladies scent.

May not be for everyone but if you like perfume this is a scent you must at least experience.

Blind buy - regrettably I should’ve bought a bigger bottle!

JonathanJBernard

Blind bought because of Carlos’ (BFL) recommendation and he’s usually spot on with his picks...I can’t call why I don’t “love” it but I don’t. Initially it was the green apple that drew me in but willing to trade a brand new bottle if anyone out there “loves” this one.

I love Amabile! Even more for guy. Bought this for my boo as his everyday scent. Smells just like the bottle, bright, light, sweet-vanillic-fruity, fresh, soft and clean. Vanilla and green apple mainly with some lemon. Quality smelling, a bit sweet, casual scent. Uncomplicated scent. Natural smelling ingredients. Likeable. Its not a “wow” scent cause its meant for every day if u ask me, altho to me the wow factor is the quality, and it is unique too and very well blended. Most apple scents out there have too much of everything else. Leaning a bit more masculine. Spring, summer, maybe early fall day.

mieaco

So i tested it today and it smells like when you bite into a green apple. The tart almost “dry” taste and smell of the skin. It’s more crunchy, crisp apple than juicy. Then as it dried down it developped a sort of lactonic quality (as with several of this line from Xerjoff). Turns into a creamy fruity scent. Gets sweeter as it dries down though never fully sweet. Fairly interesting and overall pleasant, though not worth the price tag in my opinion

Corvettezr1

Don’t know why.. just don’t like it . I think apple cardamom vanilla is a bad bad combo . Glad I sampled it first

jessefuhrmann

Smells like aquolina- blue sugar! Lasts all day, not for everyone.

First blast of fresh apples and a floral orange; it's like I can smell the sunlight in this orchard. After a minute, I start to get cardamom in with the apple and it lends a sweet warmth that's perfectly balanced by jasmine. It's clean and airy, yet warm and sweet.. delicious! A vague sharpness follows and I'm guessing that's the pink pepper; it keeps this scent on its toes and doesn't allow it to mire down in sweet fruity flowers. After 10 minutes, it seems to have settled on a fruity woods musk that's still terrific. Unisex and perfect for spring and summer.

6+ hours later: The scent had greatly intensified the woods and cardamom in the first hour and turned rather off-putting. Downgraded from love to like bc of it. Faded greatly by the 6th hour and by then had lightened up on the woods and turned fruity sweet.

Vitodito

To be honest i really don’t understand xerjoff’s marketing and releasing this...

Sugary powdery lemon, with tons of synthetic stuff that goes nowere and will never explain its expensive price tag.

Very amateur stuff.

Just a personal opinion.

Jazzscents

Well I've tried this, Nefs and Alexandria II to get a feel of Chris Maurice's style. He isn't a very great perfumer is he... I'm not throwing him completely under the bus but these compositions so far are just a little haphazard and overcomplicated. On Amabile, I would agree with @amanda below. It feels like he is trying too hard to develop the next "groundbreaking" or "masterpiece" composition and is not really creating from the soul. Too many contrasting ingredients with no clear artistic direction but all of them with boisterous sillage to save them from performance complaints.

Amabile is quite sour and sweet a sourness feeling I also get from Camel. A spicy fruity scent with hair conditioner vibes that is very randomly blended to attempt an image of originality but ultimately feels superficial. A personality exists in this perfume that reminds me of a haughty woman who is quite insecure and is loud and goofy to compensate for her social anxiety. I do like Camel but personally I feel disconnected with how pretentious these compositions feel.

a7_mad1991

The burst of sickly-sweet green in opening made me a bit nauseous :()
Tone down the juice!

SmellMyCheese

A lot of green apple fragrances capture the fresh aspect of the fruit but not the sweet juicy aspect. This captures that part of the fruit too in the opening, in the same way that Cruz del Sur II did so well with Mango (which I think is the best fruity fragrance I've smelled so far).

The apple fruitiness takes a second place spot to the clean musky yet slightly spicy aspect later on. At this stage think something a bit like Nio or Kobe with just a touch of green apple drifting around them.

I don't agree with the below review that this one is like a window cleaner, however it is bright and fresh and juicy and does have a clean somewhat piercing feel to it to so I understand where they might be coming from, but I disagree with that statement.

I'm not a big fan of the velvet collection as a whole but this one I do like from my official sample and I might grab a full bottle at some point if I find it at a great price.

Pez_Enelrio

I know a lot of people love xerjoff. i also found some of their creations which pleased me but in general I feel they are overcomplicated with just too many notes in one place, especially this velvet collection.
And this one just smells like citrus apple flavored car window cleanser, exaggerated of course... and I am so sorry about that as I love the bottle and I wanted to like it so much

This new gem is a Woody Aromatic and Fruity unisex fragrance.
The nose behind this creation is my favorite perfumer of all time Chris Maurice.🏆

⭐️Top notes are Green Apple, Amalfi Lemon, Calabrian bergamot and Orange Blossom.

⭐️Middle notes are Guatemalan Cardamom, Pink Pepper and Jasmine;

⭐️Base notes are Mexican Vanilla, Atlas Cedar, White Musk and Patchouli.

The opening of this fragrance is a treat for the nostrils, a mixture of notes of green apples, bergamot and juicy mediterranean fruits which then invites you towards flowery and spicy notes.
The base is a cocktail of exotic woods, green vanilla and white musk.
A real olfactory treat at all levels. Something like a mix between Erba Pura and Accento.🍏🍋🌱🍦🍍
Performance is good, between 4 and 5 hours on my skin which is great for a summer scent and the sillage is really attractive and mouth watering.🤤🤤🤤
Well done Xerjoff you will never cease to amaze us with your addictive mixtures.
I can’t wait to rock this juice on hotter seasons of spring and summer.🌸🌞🌼

First wearing today. So far so good. I have it on for 1,5 hours now and it's going strong. It's not as fruity as I was afraid of. Just the right amount of fruit and star of the opening is green sparkling apple. It's very recognizable smell, just like when you bite into juicy delicious Granny Smith. Feels very unisex and woody underneath. I get lightly spicy with slight tinge of salt (mineral quality). At the same time it's giving me the vibe of baked apple strudel. The kind you get with vanilla creamy sauce over it. Very different from everything I've smelled before.

Absolutely not disappointed with this release. It's not crazy fruity as erba pura and is way more wearable to my nose.

UPDATE 28/11: After 4 days of solely wearing it I'm more and more falling in love with what's happening. There is fruitiness in there, just like in erba pura and accento, it's just toned down by a lot but stays there for an entire time, like white noice. Green apple opening is fabulous, on my skin it lasts for about two hours and then slightly salty woody notes emerge. All I can think of is driftwood at this stage. Sunny beach, heated air, driftwood and bakery cart somewhere on the promenade selling delicious apple muffins and pie. It's more unisex than I expected, even pulling slightly towards more masculine wearer. Longevity 10 hours easy; projection approximately arm's length when standing still. Sillage is filling room in a good way. It's soft and present but not overpowering.

Ask Rene, its going to be stunning masterpiece.
