What a great fragrance this one is.
Finally zara come with a fragrance that I do love.
This fragrance has a quality ingredients vs a low price.
The fragrance is a gentlemanly fragrance that reminds me of givenchy gentleman 2017, as the connection lies in the utilization of violet here vs iris in givechy gentleman, I think that both fragrances share the same quality.
It is a fresh fruity / flowery fragrance with a leathery undertones.
If you love Givenchy Gentleman 2017 you would also love this fragrance as well.

Update 1 : It does reminds me of millésime imperial by creed due to the use of iris and/or violet mixed with fruity and woods in both scents

Those who say that this is an Aventus clone, either they've never smelled one or both, have no sense of smell whatsoever, or they simply lie for no reason. Aventus is a beautifully made pineapple juice. This one is a kind of ambery, kind of oudy and kind of nice perfume which is opening up fresh. In case you're wondering: I own both.

scardina36

Smelled this at the store today, this is a clone of Aventus. Straight up! Quality isn't bad and the price tag is quite fair as well.

PaperRouteP

This is pretty solid. The performance is moderate with non existent sillage. Got it on eBay for $21. I would wear this at night

Edit: Next morning I can still smell it. 2 sprays on each arm, 2 sprays on neck, 1 on chest. Performance is surprisingly great

A LOST OPPORTUNITY?

Vibrant Leather Oud was launched 4 years ago, and it has been relaunched now in 2024. I was and still am a bit disappointed with this fragrance. Maybe the disappointment comes from the fact that I was hoping this to be a very good oriental and, maybe, an innovative perfume. In anticipation I dreamt of receiving a look-alike of the Aventus smoky batch, and hopefully with a darker woody facet. What have I got is the most usable Oud fragrance I have (if there is any oud at all in it). That means that it is the weakest oud-smelling perfume in my closet. And I have almost 200 oud fragrances to compare with, ranging from a weak to a very strong oud note. Zara missed a precious opportunity to launch a differentiated perfume in the market and shine in the spotlight.
The scent concept is good but the accomplishment is mediocre. The performance is also mediocre. EdP concentration? Oud fragrance?.... Keep wishing!
It behaves like an odd EdC concentration fragrance, neither really fresh nor truly oriental, just faint, a bit fresh and very mainstream. Incense and a faint generic wood accord (rather than oud wood) is detectable all through the perfume stages. There is also a soft leather note that looks more like soft suede (very light and thin). The opening reveals a regular bergamot citrus scent that fades less than 1/2 hour after spraying. It does not matter how much you overspray to overcome the low sillage and projection. You are just wasting juice.

What a pity!
I still test it once in a while, in the hope of adding some new info to this review. Someday I may well delete it because usually I just comment on fragrances I like, and Vibrant Leather Oud is not among them.
It hardly seems to be an oud fragrance designed by the same company that released the magnificent Zara Exclusive Oud, the original Vibrant Leather, and recently, Bohemian Oud.
Do I recommend it ? .... Why should I ?

poor performance with a great price and it has nothing to do with oud

argus

February 2024 batch.
A woody aromatic mens cologne a little bit leaning to unisex side. I dont know why but i smell some similarities to Creed's Millesime Imperial. Maybe it's just me but i like it. Fresh fruits, a little bit white florals at the beginning and then woody and ambery at the drydown. No oud whatsoever.

Longevity is good on fabric, ok on skin, sillage is good for 1-2 hours if you spray generously. Good for the price.

JuicyFragrance

It is widely known that the original Vibrant Leather is a replica of Aventus. The Oud version smells like if you took 50% original Vibrant Leather and mixed it with 50% of a sweet woody scent. This addition nicely balances out the sharp pepper notes of ZVL/Aventus and creates something new. To my nose it is sophisticated and soft, yet masculine in it's own way. It is also versatile, I would wear this in any setting. Although it departs significantly from ZVL (Aventus), it is still great in its own right. If you just want an Aventus clone, the original does that better. If you want something more unique, this is worth buying.

Performance is the primary weak point here. It's not great but did seem to improve a bit after maceration.

vanillaorchid

The resemblance to Fahrenheit is clear. It's not a clone but a softer, more pleasant dupe in my opinion. Not my style but it caused a "wow" reaction on my partner.

Learningtosmell

This fragrance is inexpensive and smells a bit of a nod towards creed aventus but definitely not a clone as it's a very fruity take with no underlying woods or smoke.

It's nice but to be honest I've had farts that have hung around longer than this. Definitely not one to apply for a days work as it would be gone by morning coffee.

Dvntex_

@AquaRegia, fair play, pretty well said. Yeah, it suits for professional environment, very accurate description.

I own a 100mL bottle and this was one of my first perfumes I bought. To my nose, this is primarily (if not only) based on aroma-chemicals. However, the blending is not that bad. Everything is pretty ok, according to the price. Absolutely agree with the review below, this has no Leather and Oud at all. It does not smell heavy and oriental, as the name of the fragrance can suggest. It is subjectively to my nose a very simple, linear, clean smelling, bright and dry formulation. It contains some woody aroma-chemicals, which remind Ambergris and Cedarwood in some small degree. I can imagine Cedrenes, Cedrol, Cedramber (or some cheaper alternatives) in the formula, based upon traditional Iso E Super and Hedione. Well it owns some sort of bright quality, which seems to be there during the whole dry-down. It contains some Citrus raw materials for sure. It doesn't seem to contain Musks that much. It is bright, airy, dry, clean, with a woody-citrus quality, very simple and flat, without any texture or thickness. Very easy to wear in my opinion. The opening owns its really nice part, I must say. It pretty reminds Bergamot EO, but it lasts 30 seconds, and then I am picking up some citrus harshness, which reminds Lemon Oxide haha.

It doesn't smell harsh in the dry-down, in my opinion. Nothing wrong with this, though. The price-quality ratio is pretty ok. I am wearing this today, it is so inoffensive, slightly 'incense like'. Very versatile, good all year round simple fragrance. I think, this is one of these few from ZARA, which are worth the money at least. The dry-down is warm and slightly fizzy, but not harsh.

AquaRegia

Zara's Vibrant Leather Oud surprisingly lacks both leather and oud, revealing an energetic burst of incense and bergamot instead. Strikingly similar to its predecessor, Zara Vibrant Leather, known for its Creed Aventus resemblance, this iteration swaps pineapple/lemon for bergamot and Birch for woody Amber. Despite the bottle (which has a nice magnetic cap) projecting a wintery vibe, the scent profile suits hot summers and perhaps warm spring/fall evenings.

The fragrance macerates significantly; the initial harshness eases into smoothness over 4-6 weeks. With reasonable projection and longevity, it's a pocket-friendly choice. Ideal for young professionals, it has potential of becoming a signature scent. However, upon career progression, a more refined option like Montblanc Explorer might be a fitting upgrade for him

Anabol2336

This was hands down the best fragrance Zara ever created. Gorgeous smell that was like an even more masculine version of Aventus and nuclear performance. Discontinued so if you can find it get it. I'd happily pay up to $100 for one. I doubt Zara will ever have another fragrance this good again.

Compositeur

Ambroxan. Absolutely not.

JustMyVibe

Just had someone ask me if I was wearing Montblanc Explorer lol. I keep liking this fragrance more and more. Smells a bit darker and heavier than aventus/explorer though, probably due to the incense. Good performance too!

JasParekh

I absolutely love this one. Smells like a smokey and leathery citrus bomb. Performance is decent 4-5 hours. A great fragrance for the price you pay. Should definitely try this one...and it doesn't smell like Aventus.

ademaria

I like this fragrance. Smelt it while wandering around Zara with the Mrs and bought it on the spot. Haven't regretted it one bit.

It opens with a blast of citrus and then leads you onto a slightly sweet, smoked wood experience with that citrus still hovering in the background.

Smells very well blended which is a surprise at this price point. In the 1st hr of use, the projection is great but as with most Zara perfumes, I overspray a tad bit. I am still in a scent bubble almost 4hrs later. Longevity on skin is much lower but you can spray on clothes, which makes a huge difference. Performs well in heat and air-conditioning and so is versatile.

Lovely aromatic experience, which I think is what many of us are looking for when we try a fragrance.

j.andresminor

It lasts better than Vibrant Leather original, of course smells smokier or earthier, i like it, a bit alcoholic sure it still being before the same and can be annoying, but is a very masculine well done scent

lmnsvgz

No major differences between the classic Vibrant leather and this.

Cengizhannn

The fragrance exceeded my expectations for Zara. I tried it a few times in the store and finally decided to buy it. It has bergamot, incense and a bit of woodiness. It's like a mix of two or three perfumes. It made me happy when I smelled it in the air. It's a high quality blend that doesn't smell cheap. The oud in the name is just there to be cool. Citrus fruits are not harsh like other Vibrants. Longevity and silage are not the best. Overall, a good everyday fragrance for the price.

Skender's scents

I am not a fan of this fragrance by any means. I don't get the oudh whatsoever, but what can you really expect from a fragrance that's 20 euro's?

Kapxy

The amber in this does all the things it should be doing!! So so delicious

JustMyVibe

I randomly sampled this without knowing what it was and immediately made the connection to Creed Aventus. I own a recent batch of Creed Aventus and this stuff smells like a smokey batch of Creed Aventus. This stuff has great performance. Other brands would be selling this at minimum thrice the price.

See some people complaining that this smells synthetic but the batch that I got smells smooth all the way through. Way better than CDNIM but not as good as Aventus. But for the price, can't beat!

jdagarcia94.1

I love this more than the original. Goes darker on the end of the sniff. Somewhat fruitier to my nose than the original

M.Valle

Good perfume for clothes, on the skin in 2h it's already gone. it is a cheaper and synthetic version of Black Citrus by Vilhelm Parfumerie. As I said on clothes it's pleasant to feel and is quite persistent. It maintains an Aventus vibe abut diversifying it with this mix of citrus on the top (the citrus note remain only for few minutes) and wood on the bottom. Oud is cleary missing, it's mentioned only for markeing reason. 6/10

Perifanos

I really didn't like the synthetic woods in the drydown. Sure, you can't expect something luxurious at this price point, but even then. Although I only tried it on a tester, don't know if they're as noticeable on the skin.

TurroLife

I'm not sure if I got a really good batch or what, but the performance of this juice on my skin is crazy good. It is my first Zara fragrance, and based on the reviews I have read on all of their fragrances, I was expecting something moderate leaning toward the weak spot. for $39, this was an amazing buy.

FreddyK

Pretty much the same as the regular VL. In the dry down being woodier than the OG. Not a spectacular difference overall, but it is not redundant to own both in my opinion. I love VL and its flankers. I can have some fun, and spray whenever I want!

Jspjff

Unexpectedly good for the price.

Even though it’s called “Oud Leather…” the leather is nowhere to be found. This is not a bad thing. Just a bit misleading. Overall I like it, it has a fresh citrus smell. I would use it as a daily scent when going outside or hanging out with friends. Great alternative to using an expensive fragrance when not in a “special” situation.

The smell after a while reminds me (although not exactly) of the dry off of Dior Fahrenheit.

Great for the price.

MarieBie

Nothing revolutionary, but unexpectedly decent.
For me it's an unisex fragrance.
It opens sweet and zingy with the citrus (although I expected more bergamot given the reviews), but very soon dries down to incense and leather, hint of a woodyness.
Great for the autumn, works pretty well with other sweet more summery female fragrances for layering.

nehaessam

This really is a steal for its price tag. Fresh, good quality and very ejoyable to my nose. Personally, this is better than the other Zara perfumes with a less harsh opening and a beautiful dry down.

The only letdown is that its longevity and projection are average but for a cheap fragrance i guess i can't complain.

Jose222

Con personalidad, intenso. No soy experto pero es peculiar.

Steven221283

I have an original batch and it's not bad at all. Like if you take the original VL (Aventus clone) DNA and add more wood and some incense. It's cheap and pleasant. Synthetic, sure, but so what? You can't go into cheap fragrances with hopes of high end quality.

I've heard that more recent batches are "watered down". Same with the original. Unfortunate if so, because the original batches are both good fragrances for the price.

Karansharma

Opens with a citrus note. Probably bergamot, doesnt have harsh opening like other zara perfumes.
Then i can feel leathery and woody notes.
Different perfume. Synthetic.
Can try, but not a blind buy.

stephen.redeker

The review below mine is hilarious to me...a serious and critical take on a Zara fragrance. Let me break it down:

Vibrant Leather is Zara's clone of Creed Aventus. And there are around two dozen flankers (so far) with one or two main notes the difference between them. So yes, there is supposed to be a similarity to Aventus in them.

Vibrant Leather Oud doesn't actually have real oud in it. Surprised? Real oud is very expensive and this is a low-priced fragrance. You will find synthetic materials in most fragrances, even the expensive ones. Why is "Oud" in the name? My advice is to refrain from trying to make any sense of Zara's fragrance marketing.

How does this smell and perform? Imagine an Aventus clone with more woody and incense notes. It's simply a darker, woodier version of the original Vibrant Leather. I think it smells great on its own, and more so since it's different from the other clones. The performance is typical of a Zara fragrance: good for only a few hours and then it's a skin scent. For the price, this is a great one and my favorite in the Vibrant Leather lineup.

DBroFragrance

For a very cheap fragrance the quality is not that bad.

Yes it is approaching 100% synthetic, I don't detect anything authentic in this fragrance.

While orange is not a listed note, I do pick up "something like an orange" from this, especially in the opening. There is a sweetness which angles this almost into gourmand territory, but the fragrance is markedly "not a gourmand" fragrance. The citrus definitely comes across as synthetic, it's hard to pick out what fruit it could belong to. It's probably a mix of Bergamot Givco and Lynalil Acetate, if I had to guess.

There appears to be a bit of "Oud synth 10760 E" here acting as a fixative and representing a light woodsy note with a bit of oud flavoring, but it is dialed down fairly low behind other aroma molecules and musks.

There's a hint of light smokiness coming from something, very faint almost as to go unnoticed.

There appear to be some materials leaning into a mild berry note for me as well but I'm not sure what they are. Perhaps Coumarex db.

Really, this barely passes for an oud at all. It is a western fresh fragrance DNA. It leans heavy into a citrus note with fresh clean musk foot print, the oud mentioned in the name is barely detectable.

As it dries down it reminds me just barely of Aventus Creed, I know and agree with the other votes that it is distinctly different, but for me I cannot shake the connection.

I have not smelled black citrus or else perhaps I could compare it to that more.

I think this fragrance could have been interesting if the oud were dialed up, and the citrus were dialed back, but alas, it is another generic, boring, safe western citrus bomb.

What can you do? It's never going to end. Companies are going to release citrus bombs until there aren't any citrus left on the planet. Or any companies left, one or the other.

GetGUD

I've got & love Explorer so the original Vibrant Leather was going to be a no go. This one, however, I feel is very different from that one (as a true flanker should be). There's similarities but this smells nothing like Aventus/Explorer/CDNIM/etc/etc/etc to my nose, so for $30CAD after tax, it felt pretty good.

Alejandro Sthandier

This is a joke, it's the same Vibrant Leather as always, oud? Where? I mean, what's the point of doing something like this? Slightly better longevity tho.

Colossalscent

Similar to the original Vibrant Leather with a mature and intense twist that make this more enjoyable to my nose. No oud in it, i don't know why they called it Vibrant Leather Oud.

8/10

stinkaholic

This was a wonderfully pleasant surprise. The scent has a very sophisticated, international jet set traveler vibe. From the start of the first spray, to the dry down, and to the eventual whisper of a scent which remains 7-8 hours later, it always smells great. I will most definitely purchase another bottle as I see this being on of the main colognes I'll be using for many years to come.

Igell90

You guys !!!!!
Layer this with ebony wood. Thank me later!!!

vitalibrigite

This was my father’s signature scent, he used to love Terre d’Hermès but he used this one all the time when it came out.

It’s woody, you can definitely feel the incense and I think it’s such an elegant masculine scent, it smells rich not cheap at all and it lasts forever on your clothes. His jackets still have a whiff of this scent even tho he no longer is with us.

I keep his bottle safely stored so I can go smell it when I miss him too much, it’s a comforting scent for me, I think if I smelled this in another man I would like to hug him.

He was also the person who put me on to more affordable scents that smell expensive, together we would always find dupes for our favorite expensive fragrances without having to spend loads on them.

House Adams

I feel like this is closer to something like Hacivat by Nishane, if you wanted to compare it to something with an Aventus-like DNA...

Essentially the VL dna with amped up woods and leather, made a touch smoky with the incense.

It is fairly nice with a decent presentation, considering the price.

Mina Abdo

I like about it that it is kind of fresh oud. You don't get that everyday.

nguyenkhuusg

It was surprisingly pleasant considering the price tag of the fragrance. I got around 3-5 hours with this one, so wish it lasted a bit longer.

PhonePotato

I heard so many good reviews of this one so I stopped b a Zara’s to checkout out. I was very disappointed. It’s not terrible but smells kinda like a sweet generic designer fragrance, nothing specific but similar to a million other things from memory.
For the price and performance this is a pass.
But heads up, you should check out the Jo Malone creations at Zara, those are the same price and are a thousand times better.

boristraktmouse

No.1.fragrance from Zara.Enough said.

Stathis_tek

I find this scent very pleasing, despite the fact that it's longevity is not great. Although you can overspray. I own a lot of expensive fragrances but I really enjoy wearing this, could be my signature scent.

FragrantBob

Zara Vibrant Leather Oud opens with a definite citrus (mandarin to my nose) note. There is a synthetic oud in the opening but it lies behind the citrus so it may not be noticed so easily. It is a fleeting dark oud in the background, however it dissipates quickly. During the dry-down the fragrance becomes slightly sweeter. I thought it smelt almost floral in the dry-down but it was obviously the incense coming through. The fragrance settled to a slightly woody incense, tampered with a hint of amber. I actually don't get any leather from this scent. Generally it is an okay fragrance, easy to wear and versatile. I would not say that Zara Vibrant Leather Oud is distinctly masculine and I think it could serve as a unisex fragrance. I do find it has meek performance. After about two hours the fragrance settles very close to the skin and overall it lasts as a skin scent for about 4 or 5 hours. For under $30 for a 60mL bottle it is cheap fragrance with a reasonable scent profile and mild performance. I'd give it 3/5.

MCLXIX

Vibrant leather’s dirty unshaven stinking filthy chain smoking cousin.

Smells nothing like Vibrant Leather EDP, or MontBlanc Explorer.
In general I don't enjoy the scent and I've only tested it for a couple of days because of that.
Waste of money for me, although very cheap

Tazahr

a slight alteration to vibrant leather EDP. It is like a watered down cross between an aventus clone and mancera cedrat boise plus more bergamot.

This is mainly a citrus with light woody notes.

no oud neither original nor synthetic oud. still very fresh and pleasing. below average performance.

jarno1208

I like it and for the price it is a steal. Very pleasant. I get mainly citrus, but then also slight smokiness and woods. Very similar to Club De Nuit Intense.

PierreLouis

The Jeremy thing about this perfume just tell us how approximate are now his suggestions. So shallow. Someone told him, or read somewhere when high, about Vibrant Leather smelling like you know what. So he grabs a bottle with Vibrant Leather stamped on, he does not even smell it, and starts showing it in his now quite bizarre videos. I kinda understand the little lambs forming his "army" but even the shepherd always say 'smell before buy,'. So, yeah, little lambs don't come whinging here about your mistakes

djsilent01

All I can say is that this smells nothing like Aventus. I don't know Jeremy was thinking saying that.!

mkrs15

That's the most good quality fragrance I have ever smelt..... For good value...

OhTheParfum ♥

@PierreLouis god bless you sir, uve said it all.

PierreLouis

This smells nothing like Aventus (see older reviews) but it's enough Jeremy mentions it clearly mixing up this with the OG juice and the sheep, the 'influenced', follow the shepherd.

zbise

I really wish the performance was better because the scent is very good. NOT an Aventus clone like the original Vibrant Leather. Stays rather linear throughout the drydown, and the citrus actually stays for most of it. Also, as others have mentioned, no Oud at all. Gone after 3-4 hours for me. The bottle and sprayer are extremely good for this price range.
One of my favorite cheap frags.

EmilWilken

Quite interesting Zara EDP! (Even tho it could be argued if it really IS an edp - since it is actually only fills the requirement for an edt.) ANYway;
It has an intense opening and an short dry down. Some similarities to Creed Aventus, which is not a very unique thing - as there are many clones. But if you are looking for a frag that somewhat matches the 10x more expensive version, that actually has tolerable performance - then buy this one. It contains very little OUD, But What it lacks there, it gains in notes of AMBER.
The people who say it is exactly like Creed, don’t know what they are talking about.
It has moderate performance and is actually quite close I find it quite similar to "Black Citrus" by Vilhelm Parfumerie - I like that.

darylrichardson76

Poor. It did not live up to the hype at all. It's a starter fragrance for a kid in junior high school. You have to spray it 10 times just to last 30 minutes, and it barely projects. The average body spray has better silage. I would wear it if someone gave it to me but I wouldn't waste my money buying it. The 100 ml bottle that I have is going to be used as air freshener in my bathroom...

After letting it sit and macerate, it's actually pretty decent. Lots of bang for your buck.

pauladeyemo

Selling bottle in the UK cheap 100ml limited edition. DM

Bcigar

Better than Vibrant Leather with greater sillage and lasts good 6 to 7 hours. Best suited for 25 and up as it is a grown up version of the original. I personally feel it to be more masculine. You will absolutely get compliments with this one, so blind buy away.

brendawbp

My man uses this perfume, he loves it. But I find it too strong for my taste. Even when we are walking outside the house, I can still smell it to the point that I’m dizzy. Sorry boo hihi..

BillyBearPeppersteak

A lot of bang for your buck here. The single downside is the performance. It goes to a skin scent pretty quickly and you're looking at 4-5 hours if you're lucky.

cybersyllables

This is Cedrat Boise!
There's no Oud in it.
Lasts well in the cold weather, but I have not tried it yet in the heat.
I like it quite a lot,the only downside would be that it's pretty linear,so what you get at the start is pretty much what it will smell like at the end.

Unmodernize

This is good, very high class smell. I love it. If someone mentions it, yes it has so me Aventus feel, but very different and to me it is a frag of it's own. It smells pretty different but clearly woody and masculine. Amber feel is strong. Very 2010s.

I have a paper strip and it smells pretty strong 24 hours later (while other scents from hugo and CK is gone) so this should be decent in spring or summer if you just spray it on your shirt instead on skin.

I looked over Jérôme Epinette and he has done a lot of cool stuff. Bravo.

ernestojbarreraa

No sillage or performance at all. Disapears almost inmediately so I dont recomend this to anybody. the 3 minutes it last, smells like the regular Vibrant Leather.

KvonMoll

I have never worn Aventus, but to me this is eerily similar to another Jérôme Epinette creation: Aterlier Cologne's Musc Impérial. Excellent longevity for the price, this scent is marked by a persistent bergamot, followed by a nice, non-linear, leathery cedar. I get absolutely zero oud from this.

RossanaJ

I love this! And I do wear it although it is a masculine scent. Does not smell cheap at all!

BigDurian

I am in my mid 50's, and this reminds me of when I was a boy. It smells like one of the cheap colognes (Old Spice & English Leather) my grandfather would slap on (to himself & me) before going to church on Sunday.

I wear occasionally for sentimental reasons. But here's the thing... I have gotten multiple compliments wearing it. Including from my 18 yr old daughter (who has also smelled most of my niche fragrances).

It projects rather stong for the first hour, and last about 4-5 hours on my skin.

For the price... It's rather decent.

phongchart

I think it should be called “Vibrant Leather Amber” instead of Oud as I can’t detect any Oud at all!!!

I, however, love wearing it when I need some vibrant smoky scent (yes, its citrus note makes that vibe). Besides Jo Malone English Oak & Hazel Nut and 154, this VLO is another choice of my smoky collection!

bearinganhourglass

Reminds me old perfumes from the beginning of previous century. Synthetic, no leather, fake oud-ish, lightly nauseating aftersmell 0 sillage, 0 projection, 0 longevity.

NeoRaider

It's great and probably one of their best releases. Opening is different compared to CDNI or Vibrant Leather for example but later it is very similar. Also VLO solves really poor performance of VL because this one lasts longer and overall it's just more complex and potent fragrance. I love it!

blaiseantoine

As all the others zara frags just poor performance and sinthetic quality

Willbno

I’m a fan of Leather scents. I just purchased Vibrant Leather and Vibrant Leather Oud. VLO is toned down a degree from VL which is a tad sweeter due to the bergamot. VLO makes up for the lack of the sweeter citrusy bergamot by adding in the smoky incense. The bergamot remains present but it melds with the lighter woody-leather scent. The oud isn’t detectable.

Oud shouldn’t qualify in the title, but I’m not the one who titled or created this fragrance.

I picked this up as a two pack and as a blind buy. This isn’t a fragrance that you will regret if you buy blind. This is however a weak performer. There are other leather fragrances that have better projection and longevity. Two for $30 isn’t a bad deal. You can show your masculine side with either. But VLO is the winner out of these two.

This is really really good, i tried this a few times in the store and then finally decided to pull the trigger. The scent is actually much better than i expected from Zara, i have always hated my other purchases from Zara in the past.

Bergamot, incense and little woodiness. The citrus and incense combo reminds me a little of Bleu De Chanel. Im surprised how no one makes that comparison. The agarwood is not completely something like Oud Wood by TF, neither its a polarizing oud at all, upclose you might just feel it’s a bit more fruity batch of aventus no woods or oud at all but it smells different in the air.

In the air this scent made me really really happy. Im kinda obsessed with How god it smells. Its a mix of :

Creed Aventus
Bleu De Chanel
Tom ford Oud wood

At the same time anyone (non-fraghead) who smelled this told me they think its very different.

I would still say there is no oud in this (of course) but there for sure is some woods that i get in the air. Nice and fruity, also its too high quality to be a Zara. No alcoholic punch in the opening, no cheap smelling junk. It smells well blended and pleasant throughout its span.

If this were like a versace fragrance with more longevity people would go crazy over it, ignoring the fact that its inspired by the fragrances mentioned above and its a great blend, it’s absolutely great for someone who is not a frag head but even for one, i highly enjoy wearing this for now.

I dont like aventus clones due to the harshness in the citrus side, including the original vibrant leather by zara, and even though this is a clear flanker, the harshness of citrus is toned down massively leaving a not so harsh citrus rounded by the woods that make it just a little sweet and pleasant and then come the very light incense.

Its not dark, its not a sweet fragrance, its vibrant and citrusy overall but it has a touch of that citrusy fruity sweetness like BDC.

Longevity and sillage is not the best. Thats where this lacks.
It sure is there but you will have to refresh it every 3 hours if you want it to be there.

For the price just go for it, much better than a lot of cheapie designers. Good for everyday wear.

Schnappo90

@Mamaterer, you seriously expected oud at this price point?

gabrielsalazar808

This smells very similar to Mancera Cedrat Boise. The additional note of what is probably a synthetic oud gives gives this flanker a little more complexity compared to the original and makes the fruitiness pop a little more while at the same time giving it more depth. It is a great cheap alternative to Cedrat Boise, but I do have to knock some points off for poor performance.

I bought the full botle after i blasted this from the 60ml one. Before i just liked this parfum cause its pretty unique. And now i really love this cause i won some deal and this bring that good memory. I mean spl is meh. The smell is good but not my favourite. Man i just love the memory damn.. Whenever i used this, im like mofo badass that can yell “hey you i own this mofo place and i know all shit about it.” Lololololol i need to give it 10/10 man. Ohh yeah and the magnetic cap. Its “something” you know.. for inexpensive frag.

Hey its biased!! You still need to sniff it before you buy it!

BigFragrances

There is something in the opening that doesn't appeal me. I get the citrus, but also something undefined that I actually feel almost nauseating. I like the dry down instead; it is woody and smooth, with a nice incense vibe. Ok, no leather at all, but for the price paid...

PierreLouis

@Candyandy: same juice, smaller bottle, higher price (at least in my country they put all the prices up by 10%). Zara is closing down and they think to solve it like this

Candyandy

They started selling this in a 100ml bottle too, same as the special edition of Vibrant Leather.
Same price as the 120ml which is also still available, I wonder if it means the juice is different.

teacat68

I like it. Only downside for me is that it seems very close to Vibrant leather, which I also own. I can't detect any Oud, and would be hard pushed to tell the difference to be honest. Lovely Spring/Summer scent though.
In summary...Not different enough from Vibrant Leather.
As for longevity, the original gets slated, but I find I get wafts of it now and then (if I'm moving about) for a few hours, so I expect this to be ok in that department too.

Kelz23

This may not have much oud scent to it but this is the best in the vibrant leather collection. I have all three (vibrant leather, summer, and oud) each one has its own smell. The oud is more of a night out fragrance but you can definitely wear it during the day dressed up nice. The only thing is that the projection and longevity isn’t the best, but it isn’t bad. Just spray an extra spray on each spot and you’ll be fine. I’m telling you for the price this is great. You will get compliments for sure! This was a blind buy and I’m so glad I bought it. Buy it bro.

TobaccoOudBoi

They called it Vibrant Leather Oud.

Do I sense any oud here? Nope
Do I smell a leather note? Nope

Is it at least vibrant? Yesss

A gorgeous, citrusy take on the very popular Aventus DNA, admittedly, a good balance of citruses and woods

Should you buy it? Absolutely, a perfect gym scent I say

Longevity? Meh.

TonyMch93

Love this fragrance! Doesnt smell anything like Vibrant Leather, it is it's own scent! Citrusy and woody but not too in your face. Just wish it lasted longer. Lasts about 2 hours at most on me.

kineba

It is a good scent. Love it (especially dry down) At the top notes it smells like montblanc explorer. At the drydown amber and oud notes take the lead. It is startlingly long lasting. If be honest ı did not expect such performance from zara perfumes. I think it is proper to spring and fall usage. Maybe suitable for summer but it will be weak for winter.

MMG6

90% same as Usher VIP.
Not a bad mature scent. The VL Summer =lemon peels all the way through, no seriously .
Vibrant leather EDP is the best of the 3 , love the fresh deodorant smell from Vibrant Leather EDP .

Ali Mechmet

This is a l'instant de Guerlain "eau de cologne" version. If you want LIDG (2016 bottle) for hot weather this is for you...

fanzypants

Hi, I love vibrant leather edp so I red recently got this oud flanker in a combo set. Its nice, mature and a good intro to classic woodier scents from our fathers and grandfathers' generation. It's not sharp though and I think you can thank the incense and amber for that. The oud is present but it's more of a vibe than a detectable note. Especially past the opening, I get a dry cedar or oakmoss effect which I like. It's more formal than the original and more grown up than any other zara scent I've smelled. I'll keep it for now and use it on cool evenings when I want to be taken seriously. If you want comparisons, think davidoff silver shadow but drier and projects better. This has almost no sweetness and it softens a little in the dry down. It's growing on me for sure.

njcooper5

Smells fantastic.. to me, better than Vibrant Leather (at least the latest Vibrant Leather which is seemingly weaker than the original). This scent is more elegant and unique.. and for Zara's prices - a steal. Performance is OK.. serviceable. High marks for the scent!

flp

This is for mature men, not my cup of tea. I have to find out what I hate in this, in the original Vibrant Leather and Montblanc Explorer(all considered inspired by Creed Aventus) so I can finally avoid it.

saqlainr12

Smells Beautiful, elegant and attractive, smells great, a good pick for summers.

Deetron

I think Zara Vibrant Leather Oud is very classy, slightly mature and elegant fragrance, but younger men should not be afraid of it.
To me, here oud means woody note - nothing middle-eastern, skanky, animalic and so on.
To my nose, Zara Vibrant Leather Oud is made in a modern way. There are woody notes with mild balsamic-smoky notes, but nothing too deep or hard to wear. The scent is rounded and a little warm as well.
I think Zara done very good job here and Vibrant Leather Oud is an excellent option for office or formal events.
People who want smooth woody scent, different, but still pleasant and perfectly wearable at nice price(20 euros/120ml) will appreciate it. The bottle and sprayer are very good as well.

asgeirn

I really like this! After the first citrusy blast it settles down to a warm, cozy skin scent that to me strongly resembles patchouli?

The smell of Christmas!

Edit: The other Zara perfumes I've sampled or bought, I've always ended up getting rid off. This is the last man standing in my collection, and more than once I've been on the verge of throwing this too. But alas, this morning I took two sprays instead of my regular one spray to the chest, and the magic happened! One spray with this scent to me at least must have been too weak. Now it truly came to life. Strange how the amount of sprays can turn a scent from good to great, while other perfumes even one spray can be too much! :D

70-80 % Essence Pure Pour Homme by S.T. Dupont

Sanch

This has no relation to Vibrant Leather interms of smell.

It's fresh and woody... It last's a tad longer than VL, but only just. I would say it stays on for about 3 hours max.

I'm not sure how this can be labeled a 'parfum'.

All in all it does smell nice and refreshing. I rate it more than VL.

Fragrance 8.5/10
Performance: 7/10
Versatility: 8.5/10

CB23

This smells NOTHING like the original Vibrant Leather and I'm certain if they didn't share the name no one would ever make that comparison. It's a completely different scent which also doesn't smell of oud. This one is unpleasant and left me most excited to wash it off

MacGuffin

Woody flavored Vibrant Leather by Zara. I tried testing this scent at Zara shop in MoE Dubai.

And being a Vibrant Leather Zara scent, the great top notes here is so fast to diffuse, faster than the Angelina Jolie film Gone in 60 Seconds flick in 2000. You can count to 15 seconds and the top notes magically disappears.

Now that my collection is increasing, I now understand what experienced noses here talk about the importance of longevity in a fragrance. Sadly, the longevity factor is an extinct attribute in this age of mass produced scents. All the perfume makers today scream of Top Notes! Top Notes! and Top Notes! Consequentially it also means Spray! Spray! and Spray more. The faster you empty your bottle, the greater chance to buy another one. Enjoy!

aqua_de_la_vita

Before looking up the notes, when I sprayed this juice on my skin it smelt very similar to Fahrenheit from Dior...not as complex. It has that smokey and woody/oud? combination gives it that aroma like Fahrenheit.
No leather and definitely no lime/green with my nose meter. I'm sure somehow they do add, I'm not able to pick up enough of the note to make a difference.
All aside I like this juice and bought a bottle.
7/10 give it a try if you can find it. Enjoy

DaedalusX

I purchased 2 bottles the other day because I don’t see this scent to often, in stores anyway. This is almost exactly like Vibrant leather, but has a bigger emphasis on the bergamot and replaces the bamboo from Vibrant leather and switches it for the oud. It’s not a barnyard oud, but more like a very soft and subtle oud, very soft. It also has a small petrol vibe that you would find in Zara scent #3 but not as pronounced. As a person who has tons of Zara colognes I can recognize when some smell like others. Ignore the pyramid here too. It seems whoever is responsible for the Zara pyramids on this site only gives them 3 notes. Zara does have colognes with 3 notes in a lot of them, but the higher end stuff like this one price wise, there is a lot more going on here. The smoke in here is from the violet and not a birch tar type of smoke, let’s just be clear about that. It smells really good, and goes in a different direction from Vibrant leather, but in my opinion Vibrant leather is a way cleaner and more complimented scent from my experience. Vibrant leathers lemon and bamboo combo is outstanding. I’d also like to add that there is no way that this is an EDP. If this VLO is an EDP then I’m a millionaire, and let me be clear about that too, I’m definitely not. This is good though, but I’ll stick with the original Vibrant leather. This is a solid 8/10 for me.

burstup

Smokey, woody version of the original Vibrant Leather EDP. It's not as weak as some people think, just use two more sprays and it's fine. Here's a neat trick I just tried: I layered the original Vibrant Leather EDP with the new Vibrant Leather Oud. That works very well, it gives both the smokiness and the fruityness of Aventus (or CDNIM). I'll buy a few more bottles of both Vibrant Leather and Vibrant Leather Oud now.

Scutchy05

Fantastic offering again from Zara! They are currently bringing out some fantastic fragrances such as Teahupoo and vibrant leather.....both fantastic clones and amazing value for money. I prefer vibrant leather oud to vibrant leather. I prefer it because it goes down a different road to Aventus and adds a little darkness to it. I think it will go down as a classic in time! Excellent

Carlitos

I am a bit disappointed with this fragrance.
It's the most wearable oud fragrance I own, meaning that it's the faintest one.And I have more than 90 oud fragrances to compare with.
Zara spoiled a precious opportunity to launch a differenciated fragrance in the market
The concept is good but the work done is lowsy.
It's really an odd fragrance, neither fresh nor oriental, just faint and mainstream.
What a pity!

perfman98

IF I were you, do not get this if you'd expect a Blind Buy worthy fragrance that has that Aventus + Oud quality into it. Hardly has any oud in it, or that woody note to give it that feel, even the longevity isn't that great. Its potential could have been Halfeti Penhaligon, but really...its just a dull Vibrant Leather to my nose.

herbertjuergen

This fragrance is great.
It's Zara Vibrant Leather with added a little bitterness.
Feels more woody too.

mr_bigmem

The poorest of all the Zara mens fragrances i've ever smelt. Bought this as a blind buy thinking it was a woodier version of the latest Vibrant Leather. Epic fail it has no strength, projection or sillage. This is in no way a EDP its more like a EDC. Scent wise its a generic Boss Bottled mixed with Diors Fahrenheit. My advice don't waste you money on this people
