Just to clarify: the total time of the show runs up to about 2 hrs. But for the broadcast yesterday, it was only 85 mins long. (So it's natural that only selected programmes were broadcasted by Fuji TV yesterday).
The next broadcast will be for Nagoya shows, by Chukyo TV (in Nagoya). And based on the official webpage of 'The Ice':
8/19 - 13:30-14:55 (85-min version)
9/2 - 24:55-26:55 (full version)

So it's going to be a while until all the performances are shown on TV....

The local TV broadcast part of the finale 'surprise' from the last show of "The Ice":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKZ90ck1h2s
(Sorry the quality of the video is not of the best)

This is part of many 'surprises' to the last show. So after the group finale, the skaters take rounds, and the encore number Mary Poppins, Kozuka came back to the rink with a microphone. Mao was pushed back to the rink by Mai. Then Koz announced that they prepared a 'surprise' for Mao: all Japanese skaters together skated to Mao's bell Stsq - as shown in the video, in relay format (@2:43 in video) from Koz -> Dai -> Oda -> Akiko -> Mura ->Shoma (the spin!). The surprise ended with all skaters skated in circle, all doing spiral and finished by the 'Sochi!' pose. Mao was so touched that in the end she kneed down in the centre of the ice, to thank all the skaters and wished everyone well for their future (or up-coming Oly season).

In addition to the finale surprise, another surprise was the special secret guest Lori (and her son) during the talk show. (I was literally jaw-dropping when Lori showed up at the rink).

It was such a memorable last show, with lots of beautiful skating, surprises, laugh and tears when watching live.

Coming back from watching two of the Nagoya shows, I'll correct the list of program below. Note this is only for Nagoya show, and there are fewer skaters at Nagoya (missing Kanako and Satoko). And sorry that I still don't know the names of the songs from some programs!

Opening- Ballade No. 1 to Ritual dance SP (group dance) (accompanied by pianist Y. Suzuki)

First half of the show:
Koz - save the last for me
Adelina - ?
Mai- Black Swan
Pang&Tong - Moon River
Mirai - SP Chopin
Mura - Beauty and the beast
Group Number - 'Mao Medley'

2nd half of the show:
Acrobat skaters from China
Oda - To build a home/ ?a second program
Akiko - Liber Tango
Jeff - two programs (sorry I don't know the names of either one)
Shoma - Four seasons (I only got to watch this one, it should be Turando for the other day I think)
Weaver&Poje - unchained/ SD last season
Dai - Caravan/ Kissing you (yes, Dai-chan skated to Kissing you in the very last show)
Mao - Elegie and EX special WBMW

Finale -
Group numbers: there are 4 group numbers, all the songs skated by Mao before:
  • I got rhythm-- by the Chinese acrobat skaters, accompanied by Y. Suzuki
  • Carmen -- by Mai, Mirai, Daisuke and Mura
  • Putting on the Ritz -- by WP/PT and Kozuka
  • Csardas -- Akiko & Shoma, Adelina and Oda
The above is followed by Mao & Jeff to M. Butterfly

Encore: Marry Poppins

I'll try to fill in the details of some of the programs later on....

#The Ice 2017: I was in two of the Nagoya shows, including the finale shows. The following is a recap of the show. And I'll divide it up into several parts, so that more details can be added.

Part I [Opening] –

The opening was divided into two parts: The 1st part to ‘Ballade’ and 2nd part to ‘Ritual dance’ (piano) version.

When the spotlight was on, Mao was sitting at the rink side, tying up her skates. Then she started to skate around the rink – as if she’s warming up for practices in competitions. There was no music in the background, only the sound from the blades could be heard. Mao would be doing strokes, forward and backward; skating by doing simple turns and loops, also single jumps.

Then Jeff showed up. Mao and Jeff hugged each other, like old friends who hadn’t seen each other for a while.

Afterwards, the pair and ice dance couples showed up (along with Mirai and Taka, I think). They entered the rink with long poles in hands. When the music was on, they started with some warming-up movements. Obviously those poles are the ballet bars in a ballet room. On the other hand, single skaters showed up one by one, or in pairs, skating to the music (Ballade) by doing twizzles, spread eagles, or in pairs doing side-by-side jumps, and cantilever (of course from Shoma!)

Following the ending of the 1st part, the spotlight turned to the live pianist, Yoko Suzuki. She started to play the piano, improvising. When she finished, the light went off. Then there was a big sound of siren, just like the alarm sound to the opening of a stage show at the back of stage. The skaters then came back to the rink and skated to Ritual dance (with the pianist playing in the background). The male skaters dressed in black with red belt, and female skaters with long skirts in black and red (And Mao can be identified through the red Spanish-style hair decoration). They skated in a group and the movements were almost the same as the modern dance version of ritual dance from youtube, so that it felt like a group of modern dancers dancing to ‘ritual dance’. And the highlight of the 2nd part was that Mao skated to the Stsq of her ritual dance SP from last season. Mao was crisp and precise with the steps, and the long black skirts went very well with the music and the whole movements.

The parts I love the most are probably the beginning and ending Stsq from Mao. I just LOVE the beginning of the opening, when Mao was doing the practice movements on ice and without music. In the end it drives my focus to the traces left from those practicing movements on ice. At the same time, it felt kind of sad, as we probably will not see Mao in practice like this (for any competition, I mean) in the near future....

In Part II I'll share the programs from skaters during the 1st half of the show.

#The Ice 2017: I decide to jump to the intermission talk show first, as the video of the talk show from the last Nagoya show was recently published. So part of the interview during the talk show (mostly English) was done through transcribing.

*Part 3 [Intermission: award ceremony and talk show]
During the intermission of the 1st Nagoya show, Mao was given the Aichi Prefecture award for her contribution as a resident (the 1st person to receive such award). Mao also received special gifts including a china tea set (made locally), and a cake (since Mao said in her retirement conference that she’d like to have a café or something alike, if she hadn’t gone into skating). The finale show, on the other hand, had a special session of talk show. During the last talk show there was Mao with Mai as the MC/interviewer. Unexpectedly, some ‘surprising’ guests shown up!

Mao & Mai on stage: so for the very last show of ‘The Ice’, the talk show would be by Mao & Mai. They started chatting about how fast the show went on. And Mai asked Mao about the ‘Mao Medley’ during the 1st half of the show. Mao said she felt warmly that all skaters have been supportive and performed the programs very well. Then Mai talked about being in Nagoya, the rink is a little different from the arena in Osaka. Since the arena in Nagoya is more compact, it felt like they can see the audiences’ reaction quite well even far away. They also mentioned that since the sisters have been working on different things, they don’t actually get to see each other as often. But since the tour of ‘The ICE’ they were able to get together, have fun at hotels in Osaka. And now they’re in Nagoya and they can return home and relax a little.

At this moment, Mao said they actually have a special guest visiting the rink, and asked if it is okay to bring out the guest. Mai also asked everyone to turn their attention to the skaters’ entrance: it’s their toy poodle: Aero! So they brought Aero on the ice. Aero being a well-trained dog was sitting on Mao’s lap quietly. And they just talked about Aero is 11 years old now, and remembering when Mao got the dog from her winning of JW at 15.

Then suddenly, the MC of the show interrupted, and announced that they have another special guest visiting: it turned out to be Lori! (it’s said from a fan’s blog that Lori was working on choreography with skaters in China, so she flew to Nagoya from China most likely.) Both Mao and Mai got very surprised as they were probably being kept from knowing that Lori would be visiting. Then they had some interview questions from Mai, including:

Mai: (to Lori) Do you remember the first time choreographing for Mao?
L: was it...(checking with Mao)Over the rainbow? and then you did... Nutcracker. And every time we'd be doing choreography, and it was taking me a moment to have an idea, you would GO and do 3-Loop (laughing)

Mai said she didn’t know about this part. And then while talking, for some unknown reasons, Mai started crying really hard so she had to stop the interview. Everyone was cheering for Mai and Mao reacted by saying to Mai: ‘what happened? Ganbatte!’

Mai: Having been choreographed for Mao since she was 15 until now, what have you seen in Mao throughout these years?
L: (to Mao) you were always beautiful ... (And here Aero barked a little) and you too, Aero! To watch Mao grow, and to become part of her.. becoming one of the most beautiful and courageous young women and skaters I've ever known, has been a HUGE honor ...And it never felt like work, it's always a pleasure, thank you (to Mao)!

Mai: What’s the most memorable moment? Mao: (roughly) Learning a lot from Lori about skating, and learning that skating can be fun like playing. Mai: Like playing? Mao: like Lori would guide you to do different things: doing this, how about making that? How about making a pineapple….

Mai: (to Lori) what are Lori Sensei’s thoughts upon hearing Mao’s retirement?
L: (starting with a sinking face) 'In one way it was very difficult to hear of the retirement, because it meant...(to the audience) perhaps no more graceful Mao on the ice. But I also think there's just a big beautiful world out there for you to discover, and I know that you will grace it with beauty no matter what you do. And I know you'll be successful. And you deserve HAPPINESS, Mao, that's the most important thing.'

Mai concluded: For ‘The Ice’ this year there are a lot of numbers and songs originally choreographed by Lori. We hope that the audiences will enjoy the 2nd half of the show!...recalling that in the past when accompanied Mao to Canada to work on choreography and visiting Lori, there were a lot of fun, doing things together such as playing tennis and BBQ . For Mao, Lori Sensei has such an important existence in her skating life. Also through choreography, various programs had brought everyone lots of happiness and courage. Finally please applaud for both!

To the end of the talk show, a 3rd guest shows up, it was Lori’s son. Mao was quite surprised, and talked about remembering Lori’s son being quite small, but now turning into a ‘ikemen’ (good looking man!). So Lori and her son sat through pretty much the 2nd half of the show, giving standing ovation to almost all of the performances.

:fragile:. Thank you so much for your review. I was about to ask if the dog was Aero, because looks still like a puppy, hahaha, I am glad Aero is still with them, and I think they had puppies from Aero too.
Do not you think it's incredible that two of the figure skating icons (Lori and Tatiana :TT1:) got so personally involved with Mao? And it even with Mao being not so fluent in english. This says a lot about Mao as a person.

#theice2017 - Nagoya shows 1st broadcasting: by Chukyo TV
Videos can be found in this dailymotion channel (note there are two parts)
http://www.dailymotion.com/goshoma

NB: Obviously the boardcasting of the show has been edited in a way that it's targeting local (Nagoya) audiences...no programs from oversea skaters (they even took out Adelina, PT & WPs' part in Mao Medley) were included. But still a very nice tribute to Mao's final skating show. For other programs, we'll have to wait until after the broadcasting of full version on Sept 2 I think.

#theice2017 - Nagoya shows full version broadcasting: by Chukyo TV
I haven't yet found a video with the full version. But there are uploaders providing videos from individual performances (by each skater/pair)

Some performances can be found from this channel:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyotzhCiVttiUoQmyMGMzjg
[The list includes-
*Opening
*Adelina: 'My sweet valentine'
*Mai Asada: 'Black swan'
*Peng&Tong: 'Moon River'
*Mirai: 'Chopin Nocturne' (@ Osaka also: 'Body Language 2017', probably no video to this!)
*Mura: 'Beauty and the beast' (@Osaka also: 'Too close', no video)
*W&P: 'Ghost'
*Jeff: 'Better to be loved' (during the finale show @Nagoay, Jeff skated to another number which I don't know the name. And I like that one a lot more than 'Better to be loved' number)
*Finale+Encore (I'll add details about Finale in another post)

Re. Mao-Jeff M. Butterfly...it's actually part of the 'Finale+Encore' video. So the finale number(s) is similar to 'Mao Medley' from the 1st half of the show, which is consist of songs Mao had skated to before:

#The Ice 2017: *Part 4 [Finale+Encore] The skaters skate in 5 groups to -
1. The Chinese acrobat team: 'I got rhythm' (accompanied by live pianist Y. Suzuki)
2. Dai+Mirai+Mura+Mai: 'Habanera'
3. WP+PT+Koz: 'Puttin' on the riz'
4. Oda+Adelina+Shoma+Akiko: 'Csardas'
Finally, it's THE M. Butterfly from Mao and Jeff!

After the finale numbers, all skaters take round to greet the audiences, dancing to the moves from the dance lessons taught during the intermission.

Encore/Grand Finale:'Mary Poppins Medley' (as Mary Poppins is one of my favorite movies, I just love that Mao and Jeff skated as Mary and Bert, and the whole group in colourful costumes did bring lovely happiness on ice!)
*NB: after watching the video, I'm quite sure that this is the recording from the show on 8/5. Because in the finale show from 8/6, they invited the choreographer of the show (sorry I forgot her name!) to be part of the Mary Poppings' Medley, so as to pair up with Oda (in pink)

Special *SURPRISE!* for Mao-chan: this is ONLY for the last show during Nagoya. As I've shared previously, all Japanese skaters prepared this 'Surprise' for Mao. So each skated to Mao's Stsq from Bell, taking turns in the order of: Koz->Dai->-> Oda -> Akiko -> Mura ->Shoma (ending with spectacular spin!). In the end, all other skaters skated into a circle, al doing spirals to the last part of Rach 2 music and doing the final pose together with Mao.
NB2: oh, and the 'thank you' from Mao...later on I saw from twitter that ppl was joking that this scene looked like 'snow white and the drawfs'...well there were seven of them XD just kidding!!

#The Ice 2017: Finally the broadcasting of complete version from Nagoya show (in video) has shown up! The video (only 1st half of the show) can be found in this channel (link below). And since there's already the video, my recap will be kept short.

http://www.dailymotion.com/goshoma

*Part 2 [1st half of the show + Mao Medley]: order of performances is the same as shown in the broadcasting

1. Kozuka :‘save the last dance for me’ (Actually, an 'accident' happened during the first show in Nagoya (not this one in the video) – during the performance the shoe-lace to one of Koz’s skates was broken! In the end he had to pick up the shoelace in one hand, and Koz managed to skate through holding on to the string in one hand(!) What was amazing was that he was very calm and could still skate through)
2. Adelina: 'My funny valentine' (Adelina’s basic elements and skating skills are still good, but her jumps were influenced by injury obviously. During the finale show, she simply skipped any jump.)
3. Mai: ‘Black swan’ (This number is choreographed by Mai herself. With the experiences from various stage performances and skating shows, Mai has turned into a beautiful and expressive pro-skater)
4. Pang&Tong: ‘Moon River’ (It’s amazing how the pair keeps up after the birth of their first child.)
5. Mirai: ‘Chopin Nocturne No. 20’ (perhaps Mirai has put too much energy early on during the Osaka shows , her jump conditions at Nagoya shows were not as good.)
6. Mura: ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (This number has been well received in all shows, including other skating shows prior to The Ice. Mura’s skating actually went very well with the music and it was as smooth.)

[Mao Medley] This was definitely the highlight of the 1st half. The Medley numbers were put together nicely, esp. towards the end...I mean, what are the chances when we get to see programs by different famous choreographers being put together one after the other such as this! (From Lori, from T. Tarasova, from Morozov and from D. Wilson...)

· Mai and the Chinese acrobat skaters: over the rainbow (Lovely skating from Mai)
· Adelina: Scheherazade (very nice charlotte spiral as she always does)
· Oda: Smile (charming Oda as usual)
· Shoma, followed by Akiko: Lavender (very interesting combination of two versions of the same song)
· W&P: Sing, sing, sing (energetic and lovely)
· Jeff followed by Kozuka: Bell of Moscow (*Koz in one of the talk shows commented that, when he was practicing the Stsq part with Mao, he came to realize how difficult the steps actually were. He’d almost pass out when he completed a run-though of the whole Stsq, let alone that Mao had to skate to these steps during the 2nd half of the FS. And Mao followed up by saying: well, that was 19-yr old XDDD)
· P&T: Liebestraume (Midori commenting in the background that it was after skating to Liebestrame as their competitive program that Tong proposed to Pang...)
· Daisuke: Rach 2 (!!)
· Finally: Mao skated to Ritual dance, the orchestra version (FS). The transition from Dai-chan to Mao was lovely. And the long red skirt went PERFECTLY with the step sequence. Though she couldn’t skate to their potential for both programs in ritual dance last season, Mao managed to bring the Stsq from both programs alive during The Ice!! It’s indeed spectacular watching it live, and flows beautifully across the ice. This definitely made the highlight for the programs from the 1st half of the show. (*it turns out that the Nagoya version was slightly changed from Osaka version , so Mao added some twizzle to the beginning of ritual dance!)

Love all of your updates, @cohkaix. <3

From the final show in Nagoya (actually it was the final show of this whole tour): (Bolded mine to show where Mao skated. Forgive me since this was a special show dedicated to her career.) In Osaka Mao was nervous after a while break. This time in Nagoya her performances were magnificent! My fav performances here were Elegie and Madama Butterfly. She's now an artist who can skate free from damn rules. I also loved her stsq of Ritual Dance FS ver. (in the end of the tribute medley) with a long red skirt. As a big fan of Mao I'm grateful to all the skaters for skating in this memorial show despite their busy schedule. Everyone did their best here. I also loved Lori gave beautiful words to Mao in the intermission talk show. Love them all.

Opening (Chopin's Ballade No1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0s5PB5P1QU Shame Midori and the announcer talked too much when Mao showed her stroking & edge work warm-ups in silence. The crowd enjoyed the sound of her skating at the rink in person and it was the point of the opening.

ETA:
I edited my comment here and there in this post today. As ETA, one thing that I want people to notice is that Midori as a commentator said during Mirai's Nocturne SP that the rate of Mirai's successful 3A in practices was good. Midori added after Mirai's fall on a 3A that it shows how hard for a woman to do a 3A. As long as I know, Mirai stood on it in over a half of the shows during the tour. It was nice to see her 3A challenges got big appreciations from crowds through the tour. Audience know very well about every skater's journey and his/her career. I believe many of them have followed Mirai's endeavor of years. Whether doing a 3A or not, I really wish cheers from people here will give her power for an uphill spiral throughout this Olys season. :)

Copying my post from Mao's thread in TC. Shame Kanako was not able to participate in Nagoya show due to her schedule. This collaboration number with Kanako skated in Osaka was so special. During a private trip to Okinawa they happened to listen to this music and picked it to skate together to. They also choreographed this number together. They included things they did/enjoyed when they skated together in their hometown rink when they were very little, such as chasing one another and spins on their butts. Love this one. Shame they were not able to show this lovely number in front of the people in their hometown Nagoya.
Sorry for my long post. In the end of it, I'll post lyrics of the number which Mao & Kanako skated to together.

Tabibito (=traveler)
(my rough translation of the excerpt)

We are still halfway through this long journey
We are not even aware of where will be the end of this journey
One thing that we're sure is
It will be a beautiful place
We are two travelers with no names

My fav photos from the number. http://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/news/2017/07/29/jpeg/20170729s00079000204000p_view.jpg
