Разбира се, че еуведомено на много места. Тази жена е ходила на прегледи и се води бременна и е било организирано при нея да дойде акушерка когато дойде момента да ражда. И разбира се ако има проблем ще се обадят и ще дойде линейка и ще я вземе, но тази линейка не чака отпред.

Не разбрах за коя жена говориш?

За хипотетичната жена, която ражда вкъщи на запад и се води на Н-броя места записана, за която ти говореше.

Bulgaria's Birth Movement - How We Started

One thing is certain for our birth movement and it is that we are only at the beginning now, though a lot has happened already.

Just 3 years ago a yoga class for pregnant women "accidentally" brought together mothers planning homebirth. Each of us had only read about it in foreign languages, it was not something done in Bulgaria, at least not as a planned event. There were a lot of questions and a lot of unclear paths. There was some partial information about two other planned unassisted[1] homebirths, in both cases the mother and baby had to go to a hospital as they did not know how to proceed after the birth with formalities and cord. The treatment they got in there was nothing but horror.

Time passed by quickly and here was February and Rossi's homebirth, her third child. Rossi is a yoga instructor dedicated to working with pregnant women, mothers and babies. The courses she runs rapidly became the place to get together with people sharing similar views about natural birth and homebirth in Sofia, the Bulgaria's capital and biggest city.

Six months later it was my time to give birth and I was so moved by this ecstatic experience that I could not keep it for myself; I had to help others who desired homebirth to achieve it in any way I could!

I should mention here the tremendous effect Clare's visit and seminars/meetings in June 2008 had on the events, though it was not to be noticed straight away. Medical professionals showed no interest (apart from a neonatology doctor and two midwives, who later withdrew). It was another "accidental" event, yet it nourished the seeds of homebirth that were already growing underground the wide-spread mistrust in human nature and monopoly on birth.

In 2008 there were no other homebirths but many more pregnant women planning it. February 2009 came and here was the fist HBAC of Maya. Maya has gone a long way and worked hard on her emotions. Today she is a known name in the emotional therapy method (EFT), strong supporter of the homebirth movement and expectant mother due in December.

That year Rossi and I worked way in advance in preparing Clare's visit in June and getting the most of it. There were seminars in three cities and more work done in Sofia. Some 90 people attended the events, compared to about 30 the year before. The most impressive one was in the Bulgaria's former capital – Veliko Tarnovo where some 15 midwives and a doctor attended and all of them came to know more on homebirth, though non of them dared to work on it later. But the families who attended dared to have their planned homebirths and got inspiration, knowledge and empowerment from the meeting with Clare.

In September another homebirth brought our spirits at high - a breach baby! By the end of the year the number of home-born babies that year reached 9!

At the same time violence against women in maternity hospitals grew to unbearable state (or we became aware of its true face) and provoked a strong protest of active birth activists in front of one of Sofia's majors maternity hospitals. The date was 25th November – the international day for eliminating violence against women. Some 40 people protested but the event echoed in media for the neхt three weeks!

We live in 21st century and Internet plays a big role in our way of communication. Already in 2008, Bulgarians planning and interested in homebirth from countries all around the globe made their dedicated board on the most popular Bulgarian forum for pregnancy, birth and motherhood. It was often visited by opponents of homebirth and natural birth, and definitely not the place to organize and discuss actions, support meetings and birth stories. We had to move to a more quite and home-like web-based place. This is how the blog and forum Rodilnitza[2] came to life (www.rodilnitza.com) together with the blog No To Violence - http://nenanasilieto.wordpress.com/ -  dedicated to the campaigns for eliminating violence in birth in 2009 and this year (most important parts are also available in English).

2010 started with a homebirth J The time was ripe for more concentrated work not only on online forums - two support groups for information and emotional support were created in Sofia and Varna (the two biggest cities in Bulgaria) and started to meet and discuss every month. As time passed it was so powerful to see the mothers coming pregnant to several meetings and on the next meeting they were with their newborn telling the story of their homebirth and empowering others to follow. February 2010 brought another nice surprise - a 4800 baby born home for about 3 hours! He was the mother's third baby and the birth was absolutely uncomplicated with not even a tear for the mother. From January to June there was a homebirth each month and in the summer there was a series of HBACs, the last one being a HBAC after two previous planned c-sections! Again an uncomplicated and painless birth.

Autumn is harvest time; the seeds were planted more than two years ago, the roots were growing and now the little green leaves of our homebirth movement were cracking the ground - two homebirths per month as a steady trend as of October! And unplanned as usual, some of us happened to assist others' births. Asked in the very last moment to come over for emotional support there happened to be an extra pair of hands needed for the birth! I could only dream of what 2011 will bring for us!

Our group comprises today mothers who had homebirths, lawyers supporting the idea, journalists, a midwife, people specializing in non medical therapies (homeopathy, energy therapies, EFT) and many others. Each of us has his/her special role and mission for the project and each of us is dedicated to it.



But let me come back to June 2010 to describe the very important role of Clare for the development of our homebirth movement. Clare came to teach again in Bulgaria in June as was already a tradition from the previous two years. Her seminars came right after an international conference on natural birth supported by Midwifery Today and locally organized by Estestveno – an NGO dedicated to promoting active birth, breastfeeding and natural ways of parenting. The conference was attended by some 150 midwives and a few doctors. They were shocked to see natural birth and traditional practices and the renown panelists were shocked to learn what was normal birth in Bulgaria and what were mandatory interventions.

Seminars with Clare took place in the three biggest Bulgarian cities - Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna. In Plovdiv, we met a dedicated and brave midwife who had and was ready to assist homebirth despite the law; and she is doing it now!

This year Clare wanted the women who birthed at home to come together and start thinking of helping birth on spot. She had an idea of spreading her knowledge of birth and we were more than eager to learn. The program that started in September on Mamma Primitiva was what we needed - affordable, web-based program in traditional old ways of midwifery. Today there are 8 Bulgarians on it - 6 from Sofia, including a medical doctor who specialized in homeopathy, 1 in Varna and one in London. Six of us have had homebirth, mostly unassisted.

Rossi, who was at Strasburg conference of Midwifery Today in late September commented that Bulgaria was a very interesting and unique case as to birth movements. In all other countries apparently midwives and mothers worked together to revive homebirth, where here we started alone and are still alone. There are some 5000 medically trained midwives, about 1800 OBs here and some 78000 births per year. Very few of them are looking at homebirth as practical and achievable alternative and only one of them dared to work this way (unofficially and in a place where planned homebirth was not considered an option till very recently).

Да ще си направя труда да я попитам защото наистина ми е много любопитно, все пак майка ми разказа и не се наемам да твърдя със сигурност, но в конкретния случай който провокира всички тези дебати и за жалост това е пример как никой не е бил уведомен очевидно. Това, че тази майка е ходила на прегледи е похвално, но няма как да знаят лекарите, че е започнала да ражда след като самата тя е решила да не вика помощ. А още повече в нашата страна няма регламент за такъв тип раждане, така че риска се поема от бъдещите родители.
Изобщо не се заяждам и пак казвам, изключително съжалявам за загубата на тези родители и ми е много мъчно за мъничкото момиченце. Нямам какво да добавя.

Asya & Baby Deyan's Birth Story, from Bulgaria

I don't know if you'll remember me - I attended this summer seminar in Sofia 6 months pregnant. On 9th October I gave birth at home, with my husband, to our baby boy Deyan. The birth wasn't too easy, it was my first birth, with three hours
pushing,  and Deyan fought hard to be with us. The top of
his head was a bit elongated then. I can only imagine what would happen to us in a hospital - noone would wait that long! It was a magical experience.

Deyan is a happy, healthy baby now, breastfeeding is going very smoothly. Not a day goes by without me remembering the birth! It is amazing what an impact this has on a woman. It is so sad that a beautiful, peaceful birth is so rare in Bulgaria. I hope for a change.

 3. Жената да има нормално протекла бременност според проведените задължителни консултации

   Att kvinnan har haft normal fynd vid mödravårdskontroller enl basprogramet

4. Жената  да е дискутирала рискови ситуации със специалисти от най-близката родилна клиника, кудето би постъпила при евентуални усложнения по време на последния контрол в седмица 35+ и да се подпише "ПОдтвържение на дадената информация" от жената и специалиста

 Att kvinnan diskuterat risksituationen med obstetriker vid närmaste förlossningsklinik (dit kvinnan kommer att överföras vid eventuell komplikation) i samband med slutkontroll vid 35+ veckor och att ”Bekräftelse på given information” är underskriven av kvinnan och obstetriken

 5. Бременността е едноплодна, с главинно прилежание, в термин (37+0 – 41+6) и със спонтанни контракции

  Att graviditeten är enkelbörd i huvudbjudning, fullgången (37+0 – 41+6) och med spontan värkstart


  6. В началот на раждането да няма никакви рискови фактори, които биха могли да го повлияят

  Att inga medicinska riskfaktorer som bedöms kunna påverka förlossningens förlopp föreligger vid dess början



  7. ДВЕ!!! акушерки да сипомагат при раждането и тяхното присъствие да може да се гарантира със сигурност без значение времето на раждане

  Att två barnmorskor medverkar vid förlossningen och att deras närvaro säkert kan garanteras oavsett tidpunkt för förlossning

 8. Да има наличие на сътрудничество между родилния екип и най-близката родилна клиника като:

* акушерката да остави писмено информация в клиниката относно това планирано раждане преди консултацията в седмица 35+
* консултацията се проведе според т.4
* поддържа се телефонен контакт с родилната клиника при зпаочване на контракциите и при проведено раждане

  Att det föreligger en samverkan mellan förlossningsteamet och närliggande förlossningsklinik genom att:
        hembarnmorskan lämnar skriftlig information till förlossningskliniken om den planerade hemförlossningen före obstetrikerkontrollen v. 35+
        obstetrikerkontroll genomföres enligt punkt 4
        telefonkontakt tages med förlossningsavdelningen (koordinator) vid värkstart och vid genomförd förlossning

   9. Транспортът до най-близката родилна клиника може да стане много бързо

Att transport till närmaste förlossningsklinik kan ske mycket snabbt

  10.  Да се проведе преглед от педиатър в първите 25-72ч след раждането

Att en barnläkarkontroll genomföres senast 25-72 timmar efter förlossningen

очевадно е, че нашенския вариант отново е побългарен


нека Родилница и сродните им организации помислят върху това и да предложат най-доброто на бълг. жени, а не секстанските си идеи
защото резултата го видяхме, но не искаме да се повтаря

Би ли цитирала и критериите, посочени от Родилница, при които позволяват домашно раждане, защото не ги намирам... 

на мен там почти нищо не ми се отваря вече

ама тук следя темите редовно както вече написах
такива критерии не съм видяла за 7 теми

Да имаш скайп, по който да те консултират.
Да имаш телефона на Миглена, за да ти мери разкритието.
И обстойно да разказваш какво се случва в хода на раждането във форума на родилница, където да ти обясняват до последно, че дори да има усложнения, няма нужда да идеш в болнично заведение.

Няма критерии, съдейки по разказите на списващите.
Раждат без квалифицирана помощ, без апаратура, която да следи тоновете на бебето, с херпеси, с фекалии във ваната, защото толкова е приятно в топлата вода, че едната видиш ли я домързяло да стане, акъл по време на контракции се дава по телефона, скайп, форум.
Кое от изреденото е нормално?
За мен никое.

Имам скайп, а и телефони имам всякакви...


Може би няма такива критерии, защото нямат право да поставят критерии, знам ли...      От страницата на немски нищо не разбирам, но ми прилича на някаква организация, която определя някакви собствени критерии, при които би могло да се мисли за домашно раждане... Тези критерии от кого са одобрени, не ми става ясно... Нещо, извън критериите, прави ли се? Има ли домашно раждане на близнаци например или домашно VBAC? Разрешено ли е, забранено ли е, какво е?
