Here are Kanye’s lyrics, I bolded what I think caused Taylor to reject the song and try to distance herself from it.

Quotes from Taylor’s Grammy speech (with my translations)

Translation: Kanye, fucking stop saying you made Taylor famous, her album had sold 7 mil copies to get nominated before you even knew who she was.  She’s not going to allow you to call her a bitch.

Statement from Taylor’s rep

“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account,” her rep said in a statement to ET. “She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that b**ch famous.’"  
Translation: yes there was a phone call but he wasn’t asking for her approval.  

WHERE IS THE REST OF THE RECORDING OF HER TURNING DOWN PROMOTING HIS SONG ON HER TWITTER?

OOOH MAYBE BECAUSE IT SUPPORTS TAYLOR’S CLAIMS IS THE REASON WHY THEY WEREN’T RELEASED?

Transcription from the video of the phone call

KW (reading lyric from “Famous”): “To all my southside n—-s that know me best, I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex.”

TS: “I’m like this close to overexposure.”

KW: “Oh, well this I think this a really cool thing to have.”

TS: “I know, I mean it’s like a compliment, kind of.”

KW: “All I give a f–k about is you as a person and as a friend.”

KW: “I want things that make you feel good. I don’t want to do rap that makes people feel bad.”

Translation: Taylor did protest about the sex line but Kanye convinced her he only meant to make her feel good (ooook) so yes she let it go and was trying to be nice.

Next:

TS: “I don’t think anyone would listen to that and be like that’s a real diss, like she must be crying. You’ve gotta tell the story the way that it happened to you and the way that you experienced it. You honestly didn’t know who I was before that. It doesn’t matter that I sold 7 million of that album before you did that which is what happened, you didn’t know who I was before that. It’s fine.”
Translation: Then Taylor does try to steer him towards something that was more about his story than making shock value statements.

Next:

TS: “And you know, if people ask me about it I think it would be great for me to be like, ‘Look, he called me and told me the line before it came out. Jokes on you guys, We’re fine.’ You guys want to call this a feud; you want to call this throwing shade but right after the song comes out I’m going to be on a Grammys red carpet and they’re going to ask me about it and I’ll be like, ‘He called me.’ It’s awesome that you’re so outspoken about this and be like, ‘Yeah, she does. It made her famous.’ Its more provocative to say ‘might still have sex.’ It’s doesn’t matter to me. There’s not like one line that hurts my feelings and one that doesn’t.”
Translation: Taylor suggested that the line that made her famous but she did not use “bitch”.  I don’t even think she meant for him to use it as a lyric.  She was commenting on the reaction afterwards.  SHE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE AWESOME.

She wanted to like it.  She really did, she expected to have a light answer when people were asking about the feud.  BUT SHE DID NOT HEAR THE WHOLE SONG! She has the right to be offended by it in it’s final form.

TLDR:  Taylor’s story holds up and she never lied.

Kimye completely didn’t understand the social cues Taylor was giving even while on the phone.  That she was uncomfortable with the sex part, did not know about the girls who got dick from Kanye part and her line did not include “bitch” that he used about making her famous.  

Taylor was hopeful that this would be the end of the feud and probably bury the hatchet between them all.  But it on the whole, she is allowed to not like it in the end when she never heard the whole song and disagree with the message!
