DESPERATE Kate and Gerry McCann may call on a TV mystic dubbed The Psychic Barber to help find lost daughter Madeleine.

Clairvoyant Gordon Smith has been contacted by a McCann family member.

Last night Smith — a host on Living TV’s Most Haunted show — offered to try to solve the mystery, claiming he might be able to tell if Maddie was alive or dead.

The news came as a source close to the McCanns admitted 150 leads provided by mystics had already been followed up by investigators.
They represent 15 per cent of 1,000 pieces of information offered to the couple by psychics and mediums across the world.

One “saw” Maddie at a farm in Spain and detailed part of a car’s number plate.

A second “revealed” the flight number of a plane carrying the four-year-old and pinpointed her seat.

None of the tips yielded results, but a McCann family source said: “They will pursue any lead which gives them even the slightest chance of getting their daughter back.”

The couple, from Rothley, Leics, have NOT directly contacted Smith, 45, who also works as a barber in his native Glasgow.
Smith — the seventh son of a seventh son hailed “the UK’s most accurate medium” — claimed last night he had solved lost child mysteries similar to that of Maddie.

She disappeared from the McCanns’ apartment in Portugal’s Praia da Luz in May. He said: “I’d be happy to offer my services.”

The McCanns fear they will still be under suspicion by the first anniversary of Maddie’s disappearance next year.

A spokesman said: “They can remain arguidos (official suspects) for eight months.”

From early childhood Gordon had the ability to see, sense and hear spirit people. As a young boy his ability often unnerved those around him and so he learned to close his mind to these experiences.

А относно Гордан Смит - май се стигна до свръхестенственото, а? Е, не като обяснение за изчезването, но като начин за намирането на детето. Сега медиумът каквото каже и ще му повярваме. Но иначе не, не вярваме в свръхестественото, нали?

Top cop fired for McCann rant


THE bungling police chief running the Madeleine McCann probe was sensationally axed last night.

Goncalo Amaral, 48, was removed after he made an astonishing public attack on her parents and British cops.

The Portuguese Chief Inspector accused our police of being DUPED by the McCanns.

Amaral — who has been in charge of the day-to-day running of the case — made the claim in a Portuguese paper.

In an unprecedented outburst, Amaral alleged Kate and Gerry were being allowed to call the shots — and said British detectives appeared to have forgotten the couple are official suspects.

Amaral ranted: “This story is another lead being worked on for the McCanns. That situation has been completely put aside having no credibility whatsoever.

“The Ocean Club is in Praia da Luz, not London. It means everything said by employees has already been investigated by the Policia Judiciaria.

“British police have only worked on what the McCann couple want them to work on. They have only investigated tips and information developed and worked on for the McCanns, forgetting that the couple are suspects in the death.”

KATE and Gerry McCann face the chilling prospect of Madeleine solving the mystery of her own disappearance if they involve a pyschic investigator.The man dubbed The Psychic Barber claims to have extraordinary powers, which have defied scientific testing.


He believes the missing four-year-old could deliver the news the McCanns have been dreading by speaking to them from beyond the grave through a medium or psychic.


Gordon, 45, has already worked on countless missing children cases and is on standby to help the McCanns – if they ask for his assistance.


But he says they should be prepared for the worst because he invariably gets a result when he does a reading with traumatised parents.


Gordon says he communicates with the dead – and if Maddie is no longer alive she would speak from the spirit world to help find her own corpse.


Gordon said he felt strongly that a sitting with Kate and Gerry could bring them “closure”. He said: “In the McCanns’ position, they have exhausted all routes. They are asking for hope, but the reality is it’s not hopeful.


“There will come a point when even if the news is she’s dead then they’ll want to know.”


The McCanns say they believe Maddie is still alive and are willing to try anything that will shed light on her disappearance.


Gordon insists he is not a publicity seeker and did not approach the McCanns – a family friend is said to have put out feelers for his help. He is adamant he has not looked into the Madeleine case because he prefers only to summon his powers with parents by his side.


He said: “I never know what’s going to happen when I do these things and I would not want to give them false hope.” Gordon said most families come to him accepting their loved one is gone and they are mainly seeking “comfort” through some sort of signal.


Those signs come to him, he says, through a mixture of visions, voices, sounds and physical effects on his body.


His techniques can result in his clients going through a massive emotional experience.



CASE HISTORY:


1) Three years ago, a family contacted Gordon after their son, in his late teens, went missing following his Christmas office drinks. They were after any information that could help explain his disappearance. Gordon says: “He was missing for two months and his family came to me. He was telling them he had got drunk and slipped into the River Clyde in Lanarkshire, where he died trying to cross a weir. I said they would find his body the following March – and they did.”


2) Sometimes his visions have spine-chilling accuracy. In a sitting with an American woman, Gordon told her: “He hears a bang – that’s all.” It later turned out that her father, a lawyer with offices a few blocks away, had been shot dead at his desk.


3) Several years ago Gordon was put through a so-called “blind test” by a sceptical journalist. It involved a man in Australia who vanished after going jogging at 6am. The stunt had been set up to try to give his wife some information – but she was devastated by the result. Gordon said: “There was nothing to suggest he had been killed or anything. I said his name was David and he had fallen off some rocks and died. It was true and that was a horrible position to be put in.”


4) In another missing persons case, a British couple approached him saying their lad was in the Army and had gone missing. They had searched for two years but found nothing. But after they sat with Gordon he conjured up from the spirit world the crucial breakthrough needed and they found the body.
