I sat in front of my computer to write my 10-item commentary. Even though it was a gripping episode full of surprises, I couldn’t think of anything to write. Huseyin Steals-Big-Kills-Ruthlessly has a double life. Poor treacherous Taner was murdered treacherously. Elvan Cotton-candy cooked halvah and performed prayer at Denizers’ house as if it was her own house. After Metin Silent-Scream’s fingers were crushed by Tayyar Finger-Breaker, Nilufer Genuine-Selfish still talked about “her feelings and her needs”. On top of watching all these, I kept thinking about whether fruit-basket Pinar’s toilet needs were satisfied in the boat where she has been locked up for days; what Huseyin would do to her second wife whom it took five years to learn how to cook borani if the baby car seat where he hid the diamonds is accidentally given to a junk-dealer; whether Elvan Cotton-candy will clean Denizers’ house as well and what she will feel when she finds out about his elder son Huseyin’s true face while always lecturing his daughter-in-law Melike Big-Mouth; and what Omer who always wants his little world to be lie-free finds out that he has been living with the biggest lie of all, his brother Huseyin. All these thoughts caused my mind's engine to come to a complete stop. Furthermore, whatever I write, the opposite happens in next episodes. This is very embarrassing for me. While slamming down Elif, I praised Omer’s matureness and integrity and the writers came up with a very mature Elif character versus Omer character with inferiority complex and jealousy attacks in next episodes as if they were challenging me. After Huseyin got shot, I praised the relationship between Huseyin and Melike; the writers squeezed a lemon on my praises and made me eat them back sourly. I already have connection problem with Honest Omer since the series started; the lines haven't been repaired yet. Therefore, it is better if I don’t comment about this; because I don’t want to upset any of our members, including myself. I have a very good connection with Elif Talks-Sweet-Slaps-Like-An-Ottoman but sometimes her crying or maybe I should say her not-being-able-to-cry jams the lines. Furthermore, our members write very beautiful and satisfactory comments and they don’t leave us much for writing. I suggest our dear writers and actors to read these commentaries because most of them are better than many commentaries written on the Turkish newspapers or on-line media. They are not demoralizing but very positive and constructive criticisms. Although our many Turkish members prefer to stay silent, our non-Turkish members are very active when it comes to commenting.

Therefore, I decided to write about epic love which is the theme of our series. As a person who is very clumsy when it comes to love, I have been thinking a lot about love for the last two years. I question a lot whether there is real love or what the real love is. Because, in our century, love goes up the spout so easily and people get tired of each other so fast that I started thinking that unconditional love and being madly in love happen only in TV series or movies. When Sibel asked Omer why romance movies always had bad ending, Omer’s answer was that it might be because there was no true love anymore. And I bitterly agreed with Omer. When Elif told Omer that she was looking for unconditional love, I told her “you wish, Elif.” As our dear member Mira Angel smartly observed Omer's "unconditional love" has “only one condition” and that is: honesty. Yet, Omer is right; how can a relationship be solid and strong if there is no honesty in that relationship? Our Elif loves Omer so much that she chose to be honest rather than being crushed under her lies even her honesty did cost her Omer. And many of us were disappointed when Omer turned his back on Elif because we all thought Omer was madly in love with her.

Well, how do you understand whether a man loves a woman?

If a man loves a woman, there is nothing he wouldn’t do for her.

If a man loves a woman, he knows what she loves and what makes her to smile.

If a man loves a woman, he creates time to be with her.

If a man loves a woman, he puts up with her attitude and doesn’t mind what shape she takes.

If a man loves a woman, he respects her when they are alone as well as when they are with other people.

If a man loves a woman, he never turns his back on her when she is in a difficult situation.

If a man loves a woman, he introduces her to his friends, and most importantly, to his family.

If a man loves a woman, he never stays silent when she is insulted or harassed by the public, and never allows such a situation, and shows that he is standing by her at all costs.

If a man loves a woman, he sees his unborn child in her eyes as Brian Adams said in his song.

I don’t know if our dear Omer saw his unborn child in Elif’s eyes but he almost did everything aforementioned except for eating Sushi. Of course there are times when he stumbled. Even though he turned his back on her in the beginning of the 14th episode, he gave the woman he loved a helping hand at the end of the episode. I guess once the heart takes the road, the mind has no choice but to follow it.
